Of CPAC 2026. How are you feeling, everybody? Come on, get excited. Well, you can obviously see Mercedes Schlapp is here waiting for us to interview her. But first, I think it'd be appropriate to start off this hour singing a song that's very personal to our country and to all of us here. And that's our national anthem. So please, for the sake of reverence, could you come close and stand if you are able as I perform our national anthem. Thank you, guys.
Singer / Worship Leader
O say can you see by the dawn's early light what so proudly we hailed at the twilight's last name Whose broad strength and bright stars through the perilous fight O' er the ramparts we watched were so gallantly streaming and the rockets red glare the bombs bursting in air Gave proof through the night that our flag was to do it. O save us that star spangled banner give way. For the land the brave and the home of the brave the brave.

Ben Berkwam.
Bo Davidson
How are you, my friend?
Singer / Worship Leader
I love you, Bo.
Ben Berkwam
Unbelievable.
Bo Davidson
I couldn't think of a better way to start this off than performing our national anthem. And we got the greatest guest ever. We have Mercedes Schlapp with us. Mercy, thank you so much for being with us.
David Zier
Hi, Mercedes.
Mercedes Schlapp
It's good. Great to be with you. You are so rowdy. You're like my rowdy children. I love it. I mean, seriously, what incredible energy. What an incredible vibe. I know the crowd always loves that RAV is here. So we appreciate you all for being here at cpac.
David Zier
That means so much and we're excited to be here in Texas this year. I was just inside watching the former South Korean president talk about being jailed. You could go to jail for 10 years in South Korea for questioning the election result.
Host/Announcer
Oh, really?
Mercedes Schlapp
Oh, that's interesting.
Co-host / Interviewer
Right?
David Zier
So what is CPAC at this year?
Mercedes Schlapp
Well, cpac, it's like a family for us. We. It's so wonderful to see so many friends, so many people come, so many new faces coming to CPAC because they know that we're fighting for what is right and for what is true. And we're. And for. And I tell you, it is such a blessing every time we get together for CPAC because we know that this is about a freedom movement that expands even beyond the United States. It is a world movement where everyone's coming together because what do they know? They know that President Trump inspires them. They know that we got to stick together to win elections. And they know that we have to stop Marxism and communism. That is the most anti God movement that we've ever seen because we stand for the people, we stand for our nations, and we stand for our faith.
Bo Davidson
Mercy. One of the great things about rav, at least in its newest iteration, is RAV Espanol. We've reached out to the Hispanic audience, the Latino audience, and they are responding tremendously. Talk about with you being of Hispanic descent. I know you were at the Hispanic Gala not that long ago. We talked there just about the influence CPAC has had in the connection and engagement you're getting with Hispanic audience.
Mercedes Schlapp
Look, I gotta tell you, the Latino vote will be critical in these midterm elections. They were critical during the presidential elections. Cpac, Latino Coalition, where we're building, I mean, we're getting thousands of Latinos involved. We have to go to their communities. We have to talk to them about what President Trump's agenda is, listen to their concerns and let them know and remind them that the left does not have a plan. Their plan is called I hate Trump. That is their plan. It's F Trump. That is what they believe in. Their plan would take this country down those roads of socialist countries that we have to do everything in our power to stop.
Bo Davidson
And mercy. I know that you've also done a lot with CPAC with respect to human trafficking. We talked about that, too. Please address that as well.
Mercedes Schlapp
Yes. So CPAC has a center for combating human trafficking for us. As we have five daughters. You always think about that the average age that a child is trafficked is 11 years old. And that to me is a sign that we have to do everything we can to protect our children. And I gotta tell you, this should expand beyond any party lines. But you know what's interesting is the Democrats don't engage in this issue. So we have built a coalition with other groups to make this a priority in addressing the policies to help humans trafficking survivors and ensure that there's tough laws against human traffickers.
David Zier
I just wanted to add really quick yesterday, Victor Marks running for Colorado governor.
Mercedes Schlapp
Awesome.
David Zier
Fighting human trafficking. Cpac, always talking about those issues.
Bo Davidson
Mercedes, thank you so much for taking the time.
Mercedes Schlapp
Thank you for having us and keep up the great work.
Bo Davidson
And we're going to go to stage right now where Jack Posobic is on stage right now. Let's take a look.
Ryan Reynolds
People invoking Charlie's name to try to push their agenda items, whatever it may be. I say that's not what Charlie was about. And, you know, they, they, they told me, they said, why don't you, why don't you tell a story about what it was like knowing Charlie and I, I never really know what to say about that. You know, he was, he was exactly the same in private as he is in public. He was always on the go, he was always on the move. He was always working. And I will say this, though, that almost every morning, if you were someone who knew Charlie, if he had your phone number, and Charlie was always texting and sharing messages with people and constantly communicating. But Charlie was always a deep student of the Holy Bible every single day of his life. He started with the Bible before he went out on stage. He started with the Bible before he went to a debate, he went to the Bible. And Charlie would always send people whatever Bible verse he was reading that day and you knew he was reading it, he would send you a text message with that quotation from Scripture. And so when we think about Charlie's legacy, I would encourage everyone to maintain that interest in staying united, keeping the Coalition together. But if you want to do something in your daily lives, something that Charlie always did, pick up the Bible every single day and find a piece of scripture. Find a quote, find a line, one that speaks to you and share it with your friends. Share it in your group chat, share it in your family, Share it in your work chat. Just put it out there. Because Charlie Kirk lived every day on this earth for Jesus Christ. And Charlie Kirk understood that Christ is king. And he lived and served and died as a witness to the Christian faith and to the living God. That is what he stood for. That is what we should all stand for. And if we remember that God comes first in our lives, then we will remember that very simple hierarchy of things. God, family, country, in that order. God bless to all of you. God bless to cpac. God bless the United States of America.
Host/Interviewer
Thank you.
David Zier
That was the great Jack Posobic on stage there. He'll be talking about remembering Charlie Kirk as well today. We got a great lineup ahead for you. We're waiting for Governor Abbott to come on in. Just a few moments here. I'm here with Bo Davidson. We got Ben Berkwam out in the crowd. And thank you for joining us. CPAC 2026.
Bo Davidson
Hey, Ben, are you able to talk to anybody?
Ben Berkwam
Yeah, yeah, yeah, absolutely. Hopefully.
Co-host / Interviewer
Hopefully you can hear us. By the way. You would never hear this at a Democrat convention. We are worshiping the Lord in here. We are inviting the Holy Spirit in here. All praise and glory to God at cpac. Praise the Lord. All right, so you gotta speak loud. I'm starting over here with my short young friend over here. College Republicans. To the next generation of young men in America. What's your message?
Colin McEvers
The message is that we need to fight as much as we possibly can. We need to go out, we need to actually make our voices heard. For instance, I'm at Salisbury University over in Maryland, and every Sunday we go out, we do a pro ice, pro mass deportation rally. And it's awesome. We yell. We're as proud and as energetic as possible to the young men. I mean, we just need to stay in this fight.
Steve Moore
We need to fight for a Christian
Colin McEvers
nation in this country because we've been talking about this. There's radical Islamic terrorism going on in New York City. They've taken over the government. They're kneeling down. They're praying to Allah. We should not be having this in our country. We need to fight for the United States. We need to be patriots. So that's really my message, and that's exactly what we're trying to do in Maryland.
Co-host / Interviewer
Where can people get involved with what you're doing?
Colin McEvers
Well, we have. If you just look up the College Republicans, if you want to make any kind of donations to them, certainly do. I also have a podcast myself. You just look Colin McEvers. One L Colin McEvers. I do a lot of videos and things like that. We do, we go out, we do protests. We do everything we possibly can. So that's my name. And yeah, that's really.
Co-host / Interviewer
We call him Tiny. God bless you, man.
Colin McEvers
Shorty McEver. Shorty McEver's in my name. Yes, sir.
Ben Berkwam
All right.
Co-host / Interviewer
Talking about the fight. We got Texas over here. We got Ohio over here. No, Illinois, Michigan. Okay, hang on one second. We'll go with Texas first. Talk to me, my young lady. Blacks maga. Black lives MAGA over here. And we got the judge running for judge. Talk to us about the races we've got.
Host/Announcer
Okay. So I want to thank you all for coming to the coming back CPAC to the Dallas Fort Worth area. Since I've been working with the Dallas County Republican Party under the leadership of Lt. Col. Allen west, we are really doing the deed in and getting more Republican candidates on the ballot. We've for, for so long, 75% of our elections here in Dallas county has gone unopposed. But we are making an effort to really get candidates on the ballot and we're going to be turning out the vote. We have some amazing candidates. We need everybody to come out and vote down ballot. We have a state board of education. We have a tell me your name,
Co-host / Interviewer
what you're running for and where people can support.
Host/Announcer
Okay, my name is April Williams Moore. I'm running for state board of education in District 13. That is a little bit of Tarrant County, Dallas, I mean Fort Worth and Arlington and then Dallas County. You can Support me at april4texas.com we are needed right now. If you're not, if you're not aware care who is designated as a terrorist group are going in front of the Texas State Board to try to change our curriculum. We need to fight. You guys have to be engaged. You have to know what's coming. We have to make sure we protect our children. Again, april 4th texas.com okay. CARE is an organization, a Muslim organization that again, has been designated as a terrorist organization. And so they, they have a front that they're doing this for the kids. However, they're funneling the money back to do terrorist activities. And so we need to make sure that first of all, we're not teaching our children about Muslims right now. They can pray if it's for anything, Islam. But if it's for Christians, you can't even get them to pray. You can't allow them to pray or anything like that. And so they have more rights than we do as Christians. And this is a Christian nation. And so I want to make sure that again, we're not changing curriculum to fit some. I believe that we need a Congress to stand up. We need to do an amendment. There are certain rights that should follow citizenship and not persons. And one of those rights is the freedom of speech. Because again, a terrorist organization should not be allowed to go in front of the state Board of education and ask for anything.
Co-host / Interviewer
All right, sir, we had you earlier about Tehran, but you're actually running for judge in Dallas. Talk to us about your, tell me your name and where people can help where you're running.
Host/Interviewer
Thank you.
David Zier
My name is Clark Wood. My web, my website is www.clarkwillforjudge.com. not a hard one. Clarkwillforjudge.com a 46 year lawyer hold that against him.
Co-host / Interviewer
But tell us, why are judges, good judges, maga, constitutional judges, so important?
David Zier
Because the fight starts at the trial court level. And if you have somebody who's already inclined to, to go against the values that this country was founded on, it doesn't work. I started out as a judge advocate. My father was 30 years in the army as a colonel, World War II vet, Korea, Vietnam, Cold War for me, sorry, there was nothing going on. But I served because you should. And I want to serve on the bench because I want to bring common sense back to the courtroom. There just isn't in it. And every day when I walk out of a courtroom, I say that's reason number 536 why I'm running for judge
Co-host / Interviewer
because one more time where they can help you.
Julio Gonzalez
Clarkwill4judge.com and just so you know, we
Host/Announcer
get him over the finish line in November, he will be the only Republican district judge in Dallas County. So that's important.
Ben Berkwam
Keep up.
Co-host / Interviewer
Keep up the great work. I love what you guys are doing. Shout out to Colonel Allen west and all the team down.
Panel Moderator / Dr. Gina Louden
Yeah.
Host/Announcer
And you can follow me at Real Auntie Tom on Instagram. Real Auntie Tom.
Co-host / Interviewer
Real Auntie Tom. All right, come up here, Michigan.
Ben Berkwam
We got the fight.
Co-host / Interviewer
Speaking of, we were talking about Tehran earlier. We've also got the communists, the CCP that we're fighting. Ladies, come up over here. Tell me about the fight you guys are in in Illinois and Michigan.
Illinois Concerned Citizen
So I'm from Illinois. And the CCP has come into our neighborhood trying to take and start a lithium battery plant. And they're purchasing 231 acres of land of farmland in our surrounding areas. The plant sits 10 miles from our beautiful Kankakee river, which is the cleanest river in Illinois and one of the top 10 in the country. In addition, there are national security. They're 20 miles from our Kankakee, Illinois army aviation support for facility, home of 10 Blackhawks, two battalions. It's 90 miles from the Great Lakes facility. So we just want to spread awareness that the CCP affiliated Goan, owned by hi Goan, is trying to take a foothold in our state of Illinois. And I'm with the concerned citizens of Mantino and we are fighting the good fight. We have a website, no Goan, no Goan hyphen Illinois and go where you can see where they're buying all these farmlands under a variety of LLCs so we could use support. We want to spread awareness. Please let the people know what's happening in America.
Julio Gonzalez
Thank you.
Co-host / Interviewer
And I just want to do one shout out to Nancy.
Host/Interviewer
God bless you.
Co-host / Interviewer
The fight against the ccp. One shout out to Nancy, the delegate. The.
Mercedes Schlapp
I started out.
Co-host / Interviewer
Hang on one second. We got a wrap. I got to go up there. Hold that thought, Nancy. We're going to go back to the stage, back up to Bo and David.
Bo Davidson
And right now what we're going to do is we have actually got a live feed of the praise and worship. That's a session that's happening right now in the exhibition hall. So we're going to take you there right now so you can take a look at something that's not being done. Certainly not any other convention right here. Praise and worship. CPAC 2026. Let's take a.
Host/Interviewer
Is your name.

Can we stretch our hands out to heaven? Every hand in this room, every heart, be open to the move of God. I feel the spirit of the Lord in this place. I said I feel the spirit of the Lord in this place. And if you don't understand, you feel something different. You feel goosebumps on your arms. That's because God is resting. Why don't you lift up your Hands and say, thank you, Jesus. I thank you for your miracles. I thank you for this life, I thank you for America, and I thank you for moving in this place. Hallelujah. Come on, everybody, say hallelujah. Come on, shout to the heavens and say hallelujah. Can we sing that chorus as one choir?
Singer / Worship Leader
Jesus, Jesus, come on, sing out. You deserve the praise. Worthy, worthy is your name. Worthy is your name.

Ben Berkwam

Host/Interviewer
Worthy is your name.
Singer / Worship Leader
Jesus, you deserve the praise. Worthy.
Ben Berkwam
Come on, give God a round of applause for that. Isn't God good this morning? Come on. Isn't God good this morning? We have Moses in the house. He came early. When they asked me to do this, we weren't really sure how we were going to work this out. I made a phone call to one friend, and he brought a whole army. How many appreciate our worship team? Now, do me a favor, before we continue, get on your phones and text somebody that's here. You need to get to church this morning because America is founded on the biblical principles that our forefathers used to write our constitution. Amen. So you want them to come to worship. So when you can you play softly behind me, Send a text, let them know. I have a word from God from you today, and I want to read out of the Bible. I have a scripture for you. It's out of the book of Nehemiah. It's Nehemiah, chapter 2, verse 17 through 18. How many know that scripture of the.
Host/Interviewer
The.
Ben Berkwam
The story of Nehemiah? The Bible says this. Then said I unto them, ye that are in distress, that were here in Jerusalem, there's a waste, and the gates thereof are burned, and there's fire. But let us rebuild the walls of Jerusalem so that we are no longer in pain. Then I told them, the hand of my God, which was good upon me, has also the king's words that he had spoken unto me. And they said, let us rise up and build. Tell your neighbor, let us rise up, build. You see, in the time of Nehemiah, Jerusalem was in distress. The walls were torn down. There was no hope. They felt like it was the end. But God said no. God said, now is the time to rebuild. But in order to rebuild, they needed to shake off the negativity. They needed to shake off the distress. They needed to look away from the naysayers, the Sanballat and the Tobias who criticized them. And Told them, you're done. You're ruined. You will no longer rebuild. But what did Nehemiah did do? He turned to the government, he turned to the king and said, I know we can do this. So, people of God, it's time to turn to our government and say, we can do this. We can do this with the word of God. We can do this. Because the God that's before me, nobody can come against me. The Bible says this in 2nd Timothy 1:7. For God has not given me a spirit of fear, but he's given you power, he's given you love, and he's giving you a spirit, sound mind. That means you don't have to be afraid of the enemy. That means you don't have to be afraid of the naysayers, those that ridicule you, those that talk about you. And I got a message for America. We are not done yet. You might think we're down. You might think we only got two years left. But I believe God has called us for such a time as this. And the God that helped us create America is the same God that's going to allow America to stay free. I said, the same God will call America to be free and to be a light unto this world. I thank God for this country because there's no other place on earth where I could preach the gospel on a stage like this and not be afraid. We must pray for those that. Those that have lost their lives, those that were persecuted. We lost beautiful young people just the other day who were hung and who were crucified because of their free speech, because of this Constitution and because of the word of God that the Constitution was founded on. I can speak and say whatever I want and nobody's gonna stop me. So I thank God for America. I thank God for the church, and I thank God, God for you. You see, when Nehemiah was faced with the task of rebuilding the city, how did he do it? Well, I'll tell you what he said. Everybody must do their part. Everybody will build their walls one section at a time. So what do we need to do? We need to do our part. We need to fortify our families, rebuild our communities, and stand firm on the word of God. Because without God, we are nothing. Without him, I could do nothing. If you believe that today, say thank you, Jesus, and raise your hands unto the heavens. God is doing something in this place. God is doing something in your life. But we have to do our part. How many are willing to do their part today? Even though the enemy says your family's a mess. Even though the enemy will say, you're no good and you're good for nothing. God says, I choose you. I choose you. It was six years ago when I laid at the altar asking the Lord for answers in my life. And he told me one thing, and I. I'll never forget it. It didn't make any sense to me. He says, son, be ready. I'm going to sit you at seats of presidents, dignitaries and world leaders. I didn't understand. It didn't make any sense. Two days later, I get a phone call from a friend of mine that says, I need you to come and pray for a roundtable with the President. I had no idea. I had no plans to be in politics. It was just doing ministry. So two days later, there I sat in the front of the presidential seal saying a prayer. I didn't know what I was doing. I didn't know what I was saying. But I knew there was a man that God called, and his name was President Donald Trump. And I was called to pray. And from that day forward, here I am standing before you. So if I can rebuild my city, so can you. If I can rebuild the walls of my family, the walls of my church, then we can rebuild the walls of this nation. Do you believe that? This morning? Hallelujah. Now, I want to speak to anybody that's out there that feels like you're on the fence and you don't understand where, where or why God has you here. I'm here to tell you, my brother and sister, that if you turn your heart over to Christ and if you repent for your sins, you will be saved. The truth of the matter is this. There's a heaven and there's a hell, and you can only go to one place. We all have a final destination. We all have an appointment with death. But the point. The point is we can spend eternity with our Lord and Savior because there's a man that came onto this earth who died for our sins. He thought of you when he hung on that cross. He said, brother, sister, I know you by your name and I want to save you. He came for you and I, not so that we can struggle.
Bo Davidson
David, we're coming out of this praise and worship session that's happening here on the exhibition floor, which I think is a unique element. You know, I mean, I was very blessed to sing the national anthem at the top of this, but now we've got praise and worship. Just goes to show you what a great CPAC is.
David Zier
Yeah, you won't find that anywhere else. And those guys are really talented. They really are really amazing. And there's more great speakers coming up. We're waiting for Governor Abbott.
Bo Davidson
Governor Abbott.
David Zier
And we've got Betsy McCoy running for governor in Connecticut out there.
Bo Davidson

We're back on the stage of CPAC 2026 here. Real America's Voice. What you're hearing in the background is the praise and worship session, which is very close to us. So it may be a little bit distracting, but not distracting, of course, to the Lord Almighty who we serve. We're here with Julio Gonzalez. He is the president founder of Engineered Tax Services. But there's a new title that Julio has among the many that he has, and that's going to be president of RAV Espanol. This just came out brand news today. And Julio, we want to honor you with this title because it is an amazing responsibility that you have. Tell us kind of why you became involved with RAV Espanol.
Host/Interviewer
I'm so excited.
Julio Gonzalez
I have really listen. Real America voice. I'm just honored to be part of Real America's Voice for a long time. And now to be president of RAV Espanol. What an honor. I want to be part of that because I think we really need to do a better job as a country reaching out to the Hispanic Latino community and making them aware of the great things in our country from the Republican Party. And I think Real American's Voice is the right venue to do it. We have a couple of big Hispanic Latino media companies in our country, but they're very liberal. They do a poor job of helping our country in terms of what's important to the Latino community. White lats come here to our country. And so I just want to elevate that through Real America's Voice and do a good job of that.
David Zier
So, Julio, we met back in 2019. What a journey it's been.
Ben Berkwam
Right.
David Zier
With Real America's Voice. And Also, you know, 50% of the Hispanic vote, North Carolina went for Donald Trump in the last election, making great gains. What is Real America's Voice or Rab Espanol going to add to the Hispanic families across the country and elsewhere?
Julio Gonzalez
Well, what a great venue guys have created over a long time. I remember when you guys first came to CPAC in a 4x4 square. Look at it now. You have like 8,000ft here, a big studio. And the Latino community has been watching and trending with RAV all across the country. And now having this Spanish outreach is so vital. But we got to teach them about, you know, they're concerned about Catholic religion. That's important to them. They're concerned about entrepreneurship. They're concerned about taxes. They're a lot of small business owners. And all those things they're concerned about is what we're doing as a party to help them in our country. And I think that's just that awareness is so vital.
Bo Davidson
Yeah. And people don't realize, Julio, and you know it, and we know it here on stage that the Latino community and Hispanic community, it is about. And our party is about extending opportunity. Opportunity for all. You've put your money where your mouth is because one of the jobs you have at Engineer Tax Services is to provide grant equality for minorities. Tell people what you do, because this is really where I think your heart and your passion is. It's no mistake that you're head of Rav Espanol now, but tell them what you do in terms of that. Grant equality for minorities, for minority small business owners, because that's really where you've made a difference already. That's a huge impact you've made.
Host/Interviewer
Huge.
Julio Gonzalez
So thank you for saying that. You know, we work every day as a company creating brand equality in our country. Right. We know that all Fortune 500 companies, 100% of them take grants. Elon Musk doesn't have a company without grants in our country. Right. So but these same grants are available to all minority small business entrepreneurs. And we're just trying to do a good job of creating that awareness because they need to take advantage of this. Right. When we passed the bill, the big beautiful bill last year, right. We took the grants away from Harvard and all these big endowments and put them where they should go, to small businesses. So we want to reward small businesses entrepreneurs for taking risk, right. That's what grants and tax incentives are for taking risk in our country, creating jobs, creating employment, creating GDP in their communities. And so when we reward that, they need to have that awareness because small business owners typically don't apply for grants. They don't have time. They don't take advantage of the 108 new tax incentives we put in that bill. And if we create that awareness on this platform at least and it impacts a few people, that's great.
David Zier
Julia, I wanted to ask you, you know tax seasons here, right? Corporate filings, personal filings next month, right. Diesel is $5.37 a gallon. Prices are probably going to spike for a little bit. How important is the one big beautiful bill write offs tax and overtime, Social Security and tips on overtime and other refunds that the American family are going to get. How big is that going to be?
Julio Gonzalez
Well, it's so big. I mean we already have the proof. We've already seen over 200,000 tax returns filed and every client double the refund they had the previous year from those 108 tax incentives. You mentioned a few of them. So we're already seeing the results.
David Zier
What's the average refund right now? Do you know?
Julio Gonzalez
The average refund is between 4 to $5,000. That's double, almost triple what they were getting the previous year. So that's awesome. And that's with little awareness of all the tax benefits, right. So it's going to get bigger and better for these people as we go into the next year.
Bo Davidson
Well, Julio, congratulations on being president of Rev Espanol. We really look forward to all that you're going to do because you've already done it thus far. And I can't wait to see the future where Rab Espanol goes. So thank you, Julio, and congratulations.
Julio Gonzalez
Oh, thank you again, it's such an honor. And thanks for having me.
Bo Davidson
Absolutely. We look forward to more talks. Governor Greg Abbott of Texas is on stage right now. We'll go to him right now.
Governor Greg Abbott
Funds their. Strongest law of its kind in the United States of America. Another strongest law of its kind, again, is something that Senator Hughes and I worked on together. I signed a law this past session to ban the ability of any foreign adversary, like China, Russia, Iran or North Korea from buying property in the state of Texas. And I used that same law to go on and identify those who are foreign terrorist organizations, like the Muslim Brotherhood and cair. And I designated them as foreign terrorist organizations.
Host/Interviewer
Governor, I'm glad you mentioned all those points.
Public Investing Representative
The last one that's getting a lot more attention lately around the country, people are concerned about the rise of radical Islam. Of course, we're for religious freedom. You're a lawyer, a judge, a legal scholar, you're an American.
Host/Interviewer
And we're for religious freedom. We are not for radical Islam imposing its laws in America.
Public Investing Representative
So will you give us a flavor
Host/Interviewer
of what you've already done and what's
Public Investing Representative
coming on radical Islam?
Governor Greg Abbott
So listen, this is something that we've been fighting for well over a decade. Let me just run through a couple of items real quick. In 2015, back when Obama was still president, he tried to impose upon Texas an inflow. Yeah, Bill Obama, it's easier to boot. But Obama tried to impose an inflow of Syrian refugees. Syria, by the way, is a known terrorist country. And he tried to put them in the state of Texas. And I said, Texas is not accepting your Syrian refugees. And then the next year, in 2016, Obama tried to bring in other refugees from other terrorist based countries.
Bo Davidson
And David, we're going to be dipping out of Governor Greg Abbott right now, who's on stage because we have President Trump, who's talking to farmers in the White House right now. We want to take you live to that.
Host/Interviewer
But rain or shine, no one has more grit or greater spirit than the American farmer. We love the American farmer. I just gave you $12 billion. I don't know if you know that or not. You make enough money, it doesn't matter to you, right? So we just provided 12 billion, right, Brett, for the American farmer. You think Biden would have done that? No, he would have done that. We're delighted to be joined by Secretary of Agriculture who's doing a fantastic job, Brooke Rollins. Brooke, thank you. Thank you very much. Secretary of Health and Human Services, Robert F. Kennedy, Jr. Robert Bobby, EPA administrator, is doing such an incredible job. He's getting those costs down for you. And he's always protecting the environment, but he does it quickly. A real superstar, Lee Zeldin. Thank you, Lee. Great job. And someone everyone loves and they love in particular the job she's doing. Small Business administrator Kelly Loeffler. Kelly, thank you very much. Thanks as well to John Hoeven, Joni Ertz, Pete Ricketts, along with the chairman of the house Agricultural Committee, G.T. thompson. And I tell you, they're fantastic people. They are warriors. And representatives Jim Barrett, Randy Feenstra, Monica De La Cruz, Brad Finstadt, Michelle Fischbach, Mark Messmer, Victoria Spartz, Frank Lucas, Tracy Mann, Zach Dunn, Adrian Smith, and Derek Van Orden. They're all out here. They want your votes desperately, desperately. They're only here for your vote. You know that. But they're here because actually, they did a great job. Those were people that were the most, I would say, the most aggressive for the farmer, which is what we want. Other than me, they were right in there. I was more aggressive than any of them. But also with us is the CEO of Tractor Supply, Hal Lawton, who will soon open the company's 2,500th store in honor of America's 250th. Hal, thank you very much. It was great, great to meet you at the Oval Office two minutes ago. I also want to thank the president of the American Farm Bureau Federation, Zippy Duval. I've known Zippy for a long time. Zippy has been with me right from, from the beginning. Right, Zippy. From day one. He liked Trump. He said, well, I don't know, but I just had a good meeting with him. I'm going to go with Trump. Right? That was in 2015. And very special thanks to the proud young parents of two beloved American institutions, Future Farmers of America and 4H2. Great. For four disastrous years before I took office, sleepy Joe Biden and the Democrats in Congress crushed America's farmers with the worst inflation in the history of our country. Prices were going through the roof so bad. It was so bad what they had done to our country and by the way, in so many other ways, too. Borders and everything else. But they crippled the American agriculture industry with brutal restrictions and failed to negotiate even a single new trade deal on your behalf. Not one trade deal was negotiated on your behalf during the Biden administration. And we happen to be the exact opposite. We have so many trade deals, we don't know what the hell to do with them. We need more lawyers. But now the American farmers, ranchers, growers and producers once again have a true friend and champion in the Oval Office. And in my first year back in the White House, farm income has soared by 20%. Very quickly, I repealed the Biden EPA's ridiculous water restrictions. You had water restrictions that Gave you everything but water. Yet it needed a little water. They wouldn't give you it. It was crazy to keep federal bureaucrats off your land and out of your pockets. It's a big deal. With the help of Republicans in Congress, we passed the largest tax cuts in American history. Already 45% of filers have taken advantage of our new tax provisions. With an average refund so far of almost $5,000, a record. In fact, we passed them and people are just starting to see how important they are. It's amazing what's happened. The numbers are, they're reporting that it's much more money than I thought. I'll tell you. I call it the great big beautiful bill is a great big beautiful bill. And it's especially in terms of your tax refunds and your taxes, because it's the lowest tax we pay. It's the biggest tax reduction in the history of our country. It's also the biggest regulation reduction in the history of our country, which as farmers, you know what that means. It means a lot of good things. We made the small business tax deduction permanent, benefiting 98% of America's farmers and ranchers. And thanks to bonus depreciation, farmers can now deduct 100% of the cost of new tractors and all equipment in the first year. In other words, you buy a tractor, you deduct the whole price. Normally it goes over a 38 year period. This is slightly better. You got these tiny little deductions that weren't even worth it. Now you can do it. At one time, only Trump could have gotten you that one. That was a big thing. And in the first term, you know, we had the greatest economy in the history of our country in the first term. We are blowing them away right now. And by the way, we're doing really well in Iran. Just so you understand, you know, I mean, how good is our military? How good is our military? Very Importantly, we saved 2 million American farms from extinction by virtually ending the unfair estate tax. We've ended the estate tax, or as they call it, the death tax. And you can now keep your family farms in the family. We had a problem. See, these are all people that are clapping that love their children. If they didn't love their children, they would, wouldn't care about what I just said. But most of you, does anybody not love your child? Because that would be the one person that would have clapped the other way. No, it was a big thing. I would see farmers and they pass away. They love their life. They love. There's something About a farmer maybe more than anybody else. They love that. They love the soil and they love their farms. And they'd pass away. They'd have wonderful children. And the children would get hit with this massive tax bill for the value of the farm. Sometimes the farm is very valuable, but the cash isn't so readily available. And they'd go out to a bank and they'd borrow money and they'd borrow and borrow and borrow to pay the tax. They'd be working for 20 years to pay it off. If they had a bad season, they'd lose their farm. We lost it many, many times. And you'd have actually many, many suicides over it. They would actually commit suicide because they couldn't stand the concept of losing their family farm. And I ended the death tax or the estate tax on family farms and small businesses. So I think you're appreciative of that. It was a terrible thing. It's too bad that so many people in the past couldn't have taken advantage of it, because it would have. Would have made a lot of happy people out of people that really have had a miserable life when they lose their farm, they're never the same. They're never the same. And I hope our farmers never forget that. Every single Democrat in Congress voted against all of the provisions I just mentioned, including the estate tax. And Republicans very. All of these Republicans have stood strong and fought hard and gotten it. But the Democrats voted against every single provision that I just mentioned, including the tax reductions and including, frankly, the estate tax. But we delivered. The Republicans delivered for the farmers. And it was not easy because the opposition to farmers by Democrats is very strong. Thanks to our trade deals, you're now sending over $40 billion in American soybeans to China. I want to thank President Xi of China because we had a deal at 20 and I said, could you do me a favor? It's a big place. Could you double it? And he said, what are you talking about? I said, could you make it 40 instead of 20? And he overrode all of his people. He said, all right, I'll do it. And you got 40 instead of 20. So now you go out and buy bigger tractors. What can I tell you? Remember when that was announced, everybody was surprised. Everybody thought it was going to be 20. He was very good. But the American soybeans are now being shipped to China in record amounts. And we expanded markets for American beef, dairy products, biofuels across Asia, Europe, South America like we've never had before. Our farmers and agricultural producers do not Want handouts. They really don't. The farmers come to my office a lot and they never, they just, sir, please just give us a level playing field. Others want more than that. They want everything. The farmers want a level playing field. And I talk about it all the time. That's all they want. Because you were, you were just the first. Last four years, four years before this one, before our great first year, our great first year. We have records in so many categories. But during the past administration, you were treated really badly and you were treated badly by the world because you had nobody that cared about defending you. But you want that fair shot in a level playing field. And I'm giving that to you. And I think I'm actually giving you much better than a lay level playing field. I'm giving you a field that goes like this. Makes it a lot easier for you, the things that we've done. And to further help farmers recovering from the Biden catastrophe, we use money taken from tariffs. The tariffs. We've taken in hundreds of billions of dollars from the tariffs. And as I said, we gave you $12 billion in farm relief. And that happened just recently because you were hurt by certain countries unfairly. And I said you were unfairly hurt and we gave you $12 billion and that, that made up for it. I'm also asking Congress to quickly pass the new farm bill. And today I'm promising to request additional farm relief for our great patriots and the next funding bill. So we have you taken care of in both instances. And we're pushing very hard for the new farm bill. The Democrats fight us. I don't know what's. The Democrats fight us on farm bills and they always have. They are not your natural politician. Any farmer that votes for a Democrat is crazy. They are brutal in the farmers. One of the Americans benefiting from our policies and new market access is Joel Virek, a fourth generation farmer from Woolwich Township, New Jersey. Joel, he really has a great story to tell. Please, Joel, come up and tell that story. I just want to say thank you, Mr. President, for the opportunity to speak today and for having this event and inviting us all here. Yeah, I'm a vegetable farmer from Woolwich Township, New Jersey. We farm a few hundred acres where we specialize in Jersey fresh tomatoes. I do that along with my family also. I just, I guess, most importantly today, as you spoke about the farm bill, I just urge Congress to pass a farm bill. It's vital to everything that we do, everything from financing to crop insurance. And it's vital to the USDA and the farm credit system also just, we appreciate the bridge payments, your policy on trade, everything. It's going to help strengthen what we do. So I just want to thank you again for just everything you're doing to make America great again. You know, while I'm up here, I'm looking around. I love construction. You see all those nice caterpillars and John Deere's. We have a lot of John Deeres. That's a big, that's a big dig. And we're building a ballroom. For 150 years they haven't, they've wanted. Every president said, can we have a ballroom please? A room where you can have a lot of people. So when the president of China, France, when somebody comes over from the uk, including the king, we have the king coming over very shortly and King Charles. So we can have like a large room because the White House is incredible. But it was never had a ballroom. And we're building that will be the finest ballroom anywhere in the world when it's completed. And I'm just looking at the construction. In fact, if you don't mind, I'll walk over there and look for a little while, then I'll come back and I'll continue to speak. I love construction. I love building beautiful things. But you're going to have some. Something very really tremendously and thank you, Joel. And every day we are looking for new ways to support our farmers, reduce your costs and to help lower the price of food for the American family. Last month we issued a major new rule declaring that farmers have a right to repair your own equipment. Can you believe that one? And your action, that action will save the typical farmer up to $30,000 on major repairs. I mean, I heard about this. I said, you got to be kidding. You don't have the right to fix. These guys can fix anything. But you didn't have the right to fix your own equipment. We ended that rather quickly. And now you do. And I did another thing, and I'll explain it in a second because we had a ridiculous Washington restriction called the so called diesel exhaust fluid requirement. Do you know about that? It was a basic disaster. Today we're announcing new guidelines drastically limiting these ridiculous def rules, saving farmers and consumers billions and billions of dollars. And when I was in Iowa recently, I met a man who was the chairman of John Deere Great Company And I asked him, I said, could I ask you a question? We cut a lot of the restrictions, almost all of them on cars. What have we done for tractors and trucks and different things that you use on the farms. He said, sir, they never got to us. They never did that. I said, well, we're going to have to. That was about two months ago. We've worked very hard and Lee is working on that. It's a top priority. I told him. Lee Zelda and a top priority. So when you buy a tractor Today, you spend 50% of your time fixing the environmental. I say environmental impact statement garbage that's on the tractor. In fact, I buy a lot of things that having to do with farm equipment where I own clubs and other things. And I used to, I said, give me 10 year old equipment. Do you have any 10 year old equipment that hasn't been used yet? And whenever they had it, I would buy it because it was much better than the new stuff which has so much environmental nonsense on it that it ends up costing thousands of dollars more to produce. And it doesn't work well, too complicated. And then you'll get somebody that is a farm worker and he's looking at heavy computerized environmental equipment and you have where the tractor will turn off if the environmental equipment isn't working. It was an automatic turnoff. It did absolutely nothing for the environment. It costs you six, seven, eight thousand dollars a machine. And to save fuel, many of you working over massive deposits of fuel to save a quarter of a glass of fuel, this much, just a little bit, they'll have two extra computers in it that never worked. And I said to the head of John Deere, is this a good thing or a bad thing? He said, sir, you have no idea how bad it is. It's made our tractors so complicated. You have to. You need a major degree from MIT in order to turn on a tractor. We want to go back to the old way, sir. And I said, I agree with you 100%. And we are working very hard and very quickly to get rid of the horrible chains placed on tractor suppliers. That's a beautiful tractor. That's a gold tractor. Somebody had me in mind. What's that all about? That's a hell of a tractor. I'm looking at this. That's a good one too. Red, white and blue. But somebody really hit me with that one. That's beautiful. But. So we are going to be. Lee, I think we can say, I know you're in the process cutting out massive amounts of nonsense that are mandated to be put on your tractors and all of your trucks that cost you a fortune. And I know that they're going to do this. And I asked him, you got to promise me one Thing, you're not going to take it in profits. You're going to lower the cost of a tractor. I want you to lower the cost. And if they don't lower the cost, you'll let me know and I'll have to do a big number in those companies. Okay. Because they're going to be able to very shortly produce a bigger, better tractor at substantially less money. It's going to be better. It's going to be a better tractor at substantially less money. It's going to be more reliable. It's not going to be turning off every 15 seconds because a computer went haywire that you don't need. You're going to have a better tractor for less money. But I want John Deere and Case and all of their great companies, Caterpillar. I want all of them. Got a lot of caterpillars in there, all over the place. I look forward to seeing them later. But I want these companies to give it to you in the form of lower tractor and equipment costs. And I think it's going to have a huge impact. And Lee, when you do this, I really want you to mandate to the companies to sell the equipment cheaper, not to get the same price and make a spread of could be six or $7,000amachine. So we'll work on that together. Okay, thank you very much, everybody. I think it's going to be a great thing. We're working on it very hard. So American, Americans love our farmers. And to make it easier for consumers to choose products raised by ranchers like Michael, we recently announced a brand new food label. It's Product of the usa. I love that. Product of the usa. We have another one called Made in the USA that's better for a car. I like US Product for the usa. I hadn't heard that, but it's good. They want the USA product. When Americans see those words in grocery stores, they'll know that it was raised, harvested and processed by the greatest farmers and ranchers anywhere on the face of the earth. You are the greatest. Nobody even close. Just like we have the greatest military, we have the greatest, most powerful military in the world. By far. We have the greatest farmers also. Thanks. And thanks to your hard work and incredible productivity, we're slashing the prices of key staples for American families. The cost of cheese, butter, potatoes and fruit, many, many other products is lower today than when I took office. Eggs are down, as an example, 60% from when I took office. And we have others coming down. And beef is starting to come down. Beef was an amazing Thing I was told by Brooke, I said, I don't really believe it. They wanted to have less cattle in the country for environmental reasons. You know what I'm saying? Do you know what that means? Can you believe it? Who would think of this? These are sick people. No, they want less cattle for environmental reasons. It has something to do with gas permeating throughout the air. And we actually. And that's what happened. And these, the number of cattle was way down. I said, what happened? They were mandated. They were restricted for that reason. These people are crazy. But anyway, we got rid of that one too. That was an easy one. You know, if I said this 10 years ago, 15, 20 years ago, people wouldn't even believe what I'm saying. It's like men playing in women's sports. Would you believe we have an argument over that? Men playing in women's sports. Did you ever see the weightlifting record? It stood for 19 years. Women, great women, oddly, they got up there and then a man came along who happened to transition and the record was broken by 119 pounds. And he was a bad weightlifter. It's true. He was a failed. He was a failed male weightlifter. He shattered the record. I would say that's that good. So we are bringing all that back to normalcy too. And look what happened at the Olympics. The Olympic Committee, the heads of the Olympics just announced there will be no men playing in women's sports. Who else could have done that? Do you think that was easy? That wasn't easy. That, that was not easy. It's probably, you know, they say it's an 80 20. No, I think it's a 99. One issue. And nobody can find the one to help lower gasoline prices for farmers and consumers. This week I issued an emergency order to allow immediate sales of E15. And just as I promised in the campaign, I'm seeking construction congressional action to allow E15 all year round. Okay. And I'm trusting Speaker Johnson and Leader Thu, they're two good men. I'm trusting them to find a deal that works for farmers, consumers and refiners, including small and mid sized refiners. And they're going to send me a bill and we should be able to get that done. We've worked with the refiners before and then we're going to get that done. Today I'm also announcing a dramatic update to the renewable fuel standards for 2026 and 2027. A big problem. What they've done to you is and the country, what they've done to the country is just incredible. The. The environmentalists, I mean, they are terrorists. They were terrorists. I call them the environmental terrorists. And will now be requiring the highest volumes of renewable fuels in history. These new standards will generate over $10 billion of rural economic benefit, create an estimated 100,000 new jobs, and massively increase our nation's energy supply. It will come right out of the farms. In addition to help bring down grocery costs even more to. Today, I'm pleased to announce that the Small Business Administration, that's Kelly, is opening up massive new loan guarantees for farmers and food suppliers, including vegetable farmers, grain farmers and seed farmers, cattle, pig and poultry producers, grocery wholesalers, and many more. So if you're in the industry, Kelly, you better get ready. You're going to be inundated. Right. It's the first time that's happened. And you know when they say, she's the head of small business. Small business. When you add it all up, it's got to be the biggest. It's like the biggest bank in the world or something. There's nothing small about it. But you'll do a job, Kelly. Right? Help them out.
John Spagnola
Right?
Host/Interviewer
From Texas to Kansas, from Iowa to Idaho, and from Minnesota. Did I hear Minnesota? How is Minnesota doing? What's going on? What's going on in Minnesota with that crazy governor, that crooked, corrupt governor? How about the attorney general? Do you think he's a dirty cop? You think he's a dirty cop? All right, we'll get Minnesota back. We'll take it back. From Somalia. Do you believe. Do you believe these people come from Somalia? They have nothing. It's not. They come. Somalia is considered the worst. The worst country. It's not even a country like the worst country in the world. The worst. They come over here and they steal $19 billion. We'll get it straightened out. It's happening. Our vice president is in charge of a new division. It's called the fraud division. You know, if we straighten out half the fraud that took place in this country over the years, we'd have not only a balanced budget, we'd have a big surplus. So we're going to get it done. Going to get it done. But from Minnesota to Mississippi, we're lifting up our hardworking farmers and ranchers and growers, and we're putting more money in American pockets. We're going to prove that the golden age of American agriculture is right here and right now. And I want to ask Susan, just if you would, would you come up and say something? Because I'll tell you what. Come on over here. This is a great farmer. Would you just tell you a quick story, please?
Michael Cliver
Yes, sir. Thank you, Mr. President. My name is Michael Cliver and I operate my family's ranch in Westfield, Pennsylvania, Doble Circle D Farms. And the work that you guys have done, it's unexplainable how big it is for the American farmer and the next generation that don't have the headache and don't have to worry about the death tax. It's astounding what you guys have done as absolutely spectacular. And also the working family tax cut policies that allowed us to get my daughter a Trump account and we can teach her fiscal responsibility, compound interest and investment, and plan for her future. And it's just absolutely astounding what you have done with that. Also your energy policies up in Potter, Tioga County, Pennsylvania. The gas companies are leasing mineral rights again, actively, and that's putting money back into the form farmer's pockets up there too. So for all that, I applaud you and thank you, Mr. President.
Host/Interviewer
I'm glad I called him up. I didn't know who the hell he was. He's standing up. You know, he's standing. We went through one and I said, there's another guy, but they don't have anything about. But you did. That's an extremely good job you did. Huh?
Ben Berkwam
Wow.
Host/Interviewer
Thank you very much. I do want to say. What could I do? You mind if I step over here and just look at that tractor for a second? Because I assume it's a gift to me. That's crazy.
Singer / Worship Leader
It's beautiful.
Host/Interviewer
That is really something. Thank you very much for the gift. I appreciate you. Oh, boy. Can you imagine if I accepted that gift, what they would do? I. A Democrat can accept. We're not allowed to accept. No, but that's a beautiful machine. I love. We make the greatest machines. That's a beautiful, beautiful machine. I'd like to ask a very special woman to step up. You know, Brooke, I always said, could run any company in the world. She could run these big companies. She's a great executive and we've talked about it. My wife's actually said, you know, Brooke could be an executive anyway. That doesn't mean you're leaving. Okay. But when I had a chance, I said, what about Department of Agriculture? I had no idea that she has like a PhD in Agriculture. She went to school on agriculture. I would have put her there even if she didn't. But she's so highly trained and she loves it and she loves the farmers just like I do. And ranchers and everybody else having to do with this very special world that you live in. And Brooke has really been a star. And I want to thank you very much and say a few words. Thank you, sir.
Representative from RK0
Thank you. Oh, my goodness. Sir, the first thing I want to say is when we had that unexpected conversation about this job, November 21st of 2024. I've often said that sometimes you have plans for yourself, but then God and Donald Trump redirect your plan one year in. I can't tell you the honor, the joy, the blessing of getting to fight every day. There is no better job than this even. President, I believe there is no better job than being your 33 third Secretary of Agriculture. And I just. President. Mr. President, thank you for your trust. It's just incredible. Not in our lifetime. The president and I on our walk over here were talking about how the farmers, the ranchers rule America. We are your people, sir. From the moment he came down the golden escalator to today, no one has stood more proudly, more strongly, more courageously for this man, this transformational president, at this moment in our country's history than you. All our farmers and ranchers. I want everyone to get to their feet and just thank him for what he has done for our community, for our farmers and ranchers. He's the best. The best. So grateful. A couple of other really special people. I know we have some friends in from Pennsylvania. We have some amazing Amish farmers. And I started thinking I maybe shouldn't do this because I don't think they like or like the recognition, but they drove all the way here if they're willing to stand up. Let us thank you for making such an effort and your wonderful support for our president. I was told that even a new dress was made for this event. And I know this is out of the box a little bit for you and your amazing community, but I know on behalf of our Pennsylvanians and others, we're so grateful for you and your leadership. I also want to do a big shout out to Senator Hovind, Senator Ernst, our congressman, Senator Ricketts, who fought so hard to get rural America in the one big, beautiful bill. You all deserve so much credit. It was the largest investment in rural America for our farmers and ranchers in American history. This man drove it. But you guys executed and we're so grateful to you. So thank you. Thank you. Also, very quickly, my mom is on the front row. State legislator Helen Kerwin, thanks to Donald Trump, is doing remarkable work for us in Texas. My beautiful sister, we talked about Mr. President, the future of farming with a faith born not of words, but of deeds. You have the ffaers and the four hers here. We're so glad. You are our future and we are so grateful. Thank you. And Speaking of the FFA, sir, my ag teacher from 35 years ago came all the way from glen Rose, Texas. Mr. Rosenbush, stand up. I love you. There were a few times he put me in the back of the bus for being too sassy. And we've come a long way, Mr. Rosenbush, God bless you and thank you for everything, you mean. Listen, everyone. The president did it so well. What we inherited when we came in just over a year ago, we left with an agricultural trade surplus. When we walked out of here In January of 2021, we came back with an agricultural trade deficit of $50 billion. Not one new trade deal under the Biden administration. When we left, the cost of inputs were 40% less for our farmers and ranchers than when we came back four years later. We inherited a mess. But this president understands that there is no more American affairs, the Americans, than our farmers and ranchers and the pioneering spirit that you all represent. And today on the South Lawn of the White House, to have the largest gathering of farmers in American history at this White House is historical. It will go down in the record books. I believe this President will be remembered as the President and our administration. Administration. With Bobby, with. With Lee and with Kelly, who are all here, my best friends from the Cabinet, across the Cabinet, as the moment in American history where we reversed the trend, where we stopped losing family farms, where we fought for rural America, because this is the very, very best of who we are. And that began with this president, with his leadership. And we just couldn't be more grateful. God bless you, Donald Trump. God bless America and God bless our farmers and ranchers. Thank you all. Thank you, sir.
Host/Interviewer
So the farm bill is going to happen. It's all going to happen. And I just want to thank you all for being here. You're very, very special people. I'll never forget. We won like such a number, like nobody has ever won before. You voted for me. I will never forget that. I'll never forget the friendship, the great friendship that we've had. And we've got a lot more to do, Brooke. And we're going to do it, and we're going to get it done very fast. Very, very, very fast. And thank you all for being at the White House. Thank you very much. Bye. Thank you, everybody.
Singer / Worship Leader
Sam.
Ben Berkwam
Young man, there's no need to feel Down. I said, young man, pick yourself off the ground.
Singer / Worship Leader
I said, young man.
Bo Davidson
David, it's always good to come back to CPAC with YMCA on, isn't it?
Alex Stein
Yeah.
David Zier
What a scream. What a scream. But that was Trump at the White House. The largest gathering of farmers and American American history at the White House as he seeks to provide additional relief for America's farmers. You know, we spend time all over the country in the agricultural states, they've always been hurting. We lose 47,000 farms a year or something like that. But he's providing new incentives for farm equipment. He had manufacturer John Deere there. He's increasing loan guarantees for America's farmers and there's new EPA incentives on renewables. So another extraordinary moment at the White House.
Bo Davidson
Yeah, great stuff from President Trump there. And in our continued coverage here of cpac, we always love having guests that we interview. And this gentleman, David, that I want you to introduce comes as a distinguished guest because we want to focus on the subject of veterans. Our veterans are extremely important. They need to be top of mind at all times. So, David, why don't you introduce our guest?
Host/Interviewer
Yeah.
David Zier
We have a new friend here, John Spagnola. We sat down yesterday. He's with the Veteran Strategic Solutions Organization. Tell us about yourself, John.
John Spagnola
I'm a veteran advocate, president and CEO of Veterans Strategic Solutions, and I'm all about veterans. And I want to stop veteran suicides and I want to improve veterans health. And one of the ways we're going to do that is by changing the verbal consent procedure for high risk medications where they're supposedly just told the side effects. We want to have it written informed consent. So a veteran has to sign a form. He was told the side effects and he was told he has treatment options.
David Zier
And what we were talking yesterday, one of the first symptoms for these veterans when you get on psychotropic substances and other drugs, you know, is suicide. And we used to lose like 18 to 25 veterans per day. That number's dropped a tiny bit. But how do you get out of that web of being dependent on drugs?
John Spagnola
Well, as you pointed out, the veteran suicide rate has continued like for a long time, actually 10 to 20 years without much change. We've poured billions of dollars new treatments and it's not made much of a difference. But what we haven't confronted is making sure veterans know that the first side effect on these high risk drugs like antidepressants, antipsychotics, is actually suicide ideation.
David Zier
All right, John, stand by. We're going to go to the stage. We have our very own Dr. Gina talking about Maha.
Host/Interviewer
It's real America's voice, Dr. Gina Louden,
Host/Announcer
homeopath Barbara Lowry and CPAC board member Dr. Brooke Miller.
Dr. Gina Louden
And a gentleman. You're so sweet. Thank you.
Julio Gonzalez
Don't sit.
Panel Moderator / Dr. Gina Louden
Well, hello again, cpac. Those of you that were here yesterday recognized the hat. I was part of the Yellowstone talk, and today I'm part of the Maha Alliance. Cigars, steaks and Ivermectin. Now, I think everybody understands how steak and cigars are healthy, but I'm not sure why Matt Schlapp said cigars. I mean, yeah, steaks and ivermectin are healthy, but not cigars.
Dr. Gina Louden
I know.
Panel Moderator / Dr. Gina Louden
I know you do. We're going to find out. I would like to welcome our panel here today. We have three people, very accomplished, who figured things out on their own. They don't have any formal medical training like myself, but like I saw during the pandemic, I mean, lay people were as good or better than a lot of medical professions, professionals in figuring things out and what they needed to do to stay healthy. So we're going to get some alternative views today. But before we do that, I'd like to lay out my four pillars of health that I would hope each and every one of you would take home and try to change your lives in order to improve your health or reverse chronic disease. One is what you put in your body, and that's mainly diet, but it also means avoidance of toxins and chemicals which are out there. Number two is the dreaded word exercise. Make time to exercise. I guarantee you when you go to the gym or go to exercise, you'll always feel better afterwards than you did beforehand. Three is sunlight. Sunlight is often vilified by today's world. And they say put all this toxic sunscreen on. Well, start rethinking that. Yes, sunlight is the source of all life on the planet. And then fourth is sleep. Make sure you get a good night's sleep. So with that being said, I'm going to move on to our panelists and hear what they have to say. I'm going to go to Barbara first. Barbara.
Barbara Lowry
Yes, sir.
Panel Moderator / Dr. Gina Louden
As a grown woman, you decided to go back and educate yourself on homeopathy. Tell us why and tell us about it.
Barbara Lowry
All right. Well, first, a lot of people don't really know what homeopathy is. They think it's synonymous with holistic, and it's not. It's actually a form of medicine that's used by millions of people in America for injuries and for minor illnesses at Home and by health practitioners that are licensed and or certified in their respective disciplines. It's an incredible form of medicine. I got into it because our son was having chronic ear infections when he was like 5 years old. And it was round after round after round of antibiotic. And I didn't know what else to do until I met some who said, you should take him to a homeopath. I said, what? Okay. And I found one. And she talked to me and she talked to him and prescribed a remedy, sugar pellets that have. Are a carrier for the medicine. And I gave him the remedy and he never had another ear infection. A few years later, I decided midlife, when I was 54 years old to, to go to homeopathy school, to a four year program and become a homeopath. And it's a lot harder, folks, a bachelor's degree, I'll tell you that. But I was so passionate about it and it works so brilliantly and so deeply. And it works well, plays really well with any other kind of modality. If you're taking eight different drugs, I feel bad for you, but this heals mind, body and spirit, mental emotions, emotional and physical. Homeopathy is a holistic medicine. A holistic form of medicine, but its own distinct form of medicine.
Panel Moderator / Dr. Gina Louden
Thank you. Thank you, Gina.
Dr. Gina Louden
Yeah.
Panel Moderator / Dr. Gina Louden
An accomplished talk show host, a mother of five.
Dr. Gina Louden
Yes.
Panel Moderator / Dr. Gina Louden
A busy businesswoman. How did you go down this rabbit hole of health and wellness and tell us what you've learned.
Dr. Gina Louden
First, I want to say I've been coming to CPAC since I was 20 years old. Phyllis Schlafly, I still remember her. Right. She brought me my first one. This is the freest CPAC we've ever had. Hats off to Matt and Mercedes and the whole team because if you had even named a panel. Yes, you can clap for them. Absolutely. Let's think back four years. If you had even named a panel. Cigars, steaks and Ivermectin. First of all, I think we would have been raided. I think we would be raided. And they would have hauled us all into J6 jail cells. Who knows what they would have done? And they would have investigated all of us. And yeah, it would have been a whole travesty. But here we are. What a beautiful celebration that we can even. And Matchlap gets credit for naming this. I asked him, did you think of that? And he said, yes, but it is such a, such an honor to be with you guys again. And I got into this. My husband was in the Senate in Missouri and there were parades of People that would come through that were just voiceless moms and dads who lost children because of vaccine mishaps, because of the children being born in hospital where infection rates are much higher than when children are born at home. Our state of Missouri, it was a felony to deliver a baby at home. The American Medical association is one of the biggest lobbies nobody talks about. It's not just big pharma, it's big apa, American Psychological Association, Big Medicine, AMA and all the rest of it. And they do a great job of making you feel like a quack. At least they did then. So my husband and I made it our effort to flip that bill on its head and made midwifery one of the freest states. Missouri, one of the freest states where you can have a home birth. But it was those parents that came into his office every day. I was there homeschooling my five children and I would listen to their stories and everybody would say, oh, that's anecdotal. When I try to talk to the doctors, lobbyists or people, they'd say, oh, that's anecdotal. Those people are crazy. I'm like, well, they've got a dead kid or they have a disabled child or, you know, this horrible thing happened in their family. And there's a lot of them, a lot more of them than there were people saying, no, you should believe all of the allopathic medical advice that the AMA wants to give us. So anyway, that's what started me down my path. I adopted a little boy with down sympathetic syndrome. He had 10 congenital diseases when he was born. I followed holistic homeopathic. I'm still learning because she's teaching me the difference. But I followed advice. He was born with down syndrome and these other conditions. Today he's 20 years old, working full time, having a great life. He's the laughter in our family. And it was because I ignored the ama. Well, that taught me.
Panel Moderator / Dr. Gina Louden
Thank you, Gina. Luke, I have to admit something. I was really nervous meeting you. I'm in awe of you. Five time world champion in steer wrestling. This guy slides off a galloping horse, jumps on the back of a 500 pound plus steer and that's a big steer. And wrestles him to the ground. It's a violent sport. You've got to have some injuries. You've got an interesting story. Tell us how you have turned from a rodeo cowboy to a professional athlete who care who takes care of his body.
Luke Branquinho
Yeah. So I started my Rookie year was 2000. I was diagnosed with type 1 diabetes in 1998. So starting my professional career, I didn't think I was going to have the opportunity, opportunity to excel at the sport I loved. And that was steer wrestling, you know, and through mental toughness and everything that goes with being a professional athlete, I worked hard and became a five time world champion. I have got to see the sport of rodeo go from where we were just rodeo cowboys to now we are rodeo athletes. And when, I mean athletes like you take the NFL, MLB and NBA, these guys have trainers, they have nutritionists, they have sports therapists. Cowboys had to do that themselves. They still do, but they're taking it to the next level where we eat, we're eating better, we're working out regular. I retired back in 2021 after my eighth injury where I ruptured my hamstring. And you know, I got to the point in my career with the diabetes and everything, I was like, am I going to be able to continue and have success? And when you start doubting yourself, especially in the sport of rodeo, because like you said, it is so violent, you might as well just step back and retire because you're going to get hurt a lot more often if you have those doubts going through your mind. So retired in 2021 and I did get to see from 2021 how the sport had evolved with the professional athletes that we call cowboys taking care of themselves. Towards the end of my career, I kind of got into that rhythm. But after I retired, you know, with anything that you do for so long and then you just quit. I had depression, I had issues that I didn't talk about. My out was working out and eating right and it is absolutely amazing. What I found was if I would have done that earlier in my career, how much more success I may have had. I dropped. I went from about 280 pounds while competing to now I'm down to 235 lb. Pounds. My A1C went from, you know, roughly 8 to 6.2, 6.3, you know, and that's just from cleaning up my diet and working out four to five times a week. And now I came out of retirement. I went to the American Rodeo last year and competed at a few events and had a chance to win a million dollars. I fell short, but I felt great. I'm doing it again this year, I'm going to compete again. So, you know, for me it was getting back into the mindset. And we talked earlier. Being healthy is an easy way to think, but to actually go do it is tough. You know, you could sit back like, I'm going to be healthy, I'm going to eat healthy. Okay, Now I have to go do it. That is tough, especially in the sport of rodeo, because as much as we travel 280 days out of the year, we're on the road. And anybody that travels a lot, you know that it's McDonald's, Subway. I mean, these places aren't healthy for you, right? But it's the options we have. So seeing the sport transition to more of an athlete, athletic, cowboy competition is. It's been fun for me to be a part of and witness and watching these athletes have a chance at the money they have. It's been great.
John Spagnola
Great.
Panel Moderator / Dr. Gina Louden
Thank you very much. Just a quick follow up on him for those of you heard him say he dropped his A1C from 8.8 to 6.2. That's an average of your blood sugar over three months. And in order to do that, you got to have tighter control. And for a type 1 diabetic to have an A1C of 6. Zero point, that is outstanding control. And we want to lower insulin levels. And that's what he's done through diet and exercise and changing his life that way. But we got to talk about Ivermectin.
Julio Gonzalez
Okay.
Panel Moderator / Dr. Gina Louden
Much discussed since 2020, much maligned, and now just really hailed as a savior in medicine. It has antiviral properties, antibacterial properties, anti inflammatory properties, antineoplastic or cancer properties. And obviously it deworms people. It also helps the gut microbiome. Barb has done a deep dive on Ivermectin. Share us with the audience what you've learned about Ivermectin.
Barbara Lowry
Well, I can tell you a personal story and if anybody else suffers with acne rosacea, then you know what that is. I have had it, had it for years and I was in my 30s. I'll make this really quick. So because we only got a limited amount of time, but you're given an antibiotic for it, metro gel, back in the day, I don't know if that's still what you get. And it helps great, but it doesn't really knock anything out. And then you've got antibiotic constantly ruining your gut biome. So I used, you can get it on the Internet, the Ivermectin horse paste. And it's great stuff. I tried slathering that on my nose and it was gone. Probably three applications gone, hasn't come back. The stuff is amazing. It will also do a lot of other fun things too. The Ivermectin as a homeopath, I delve into a lot of research about a lot of things and it's my thing. And with getting into. With clients, they have to cancer, which we know is pretty prevalent right now, getting involved with that, you can only do so much with homeopathy alone. It's great because it will heal the mental emotional level so you can roll with things and you can get better. It stimulates your immune system while you're doing something else. That homeopathy in conjunction with ivermectin, fenbendazole, mebendazole, different repurposed drugs that have been shown through medical studies to be incredibly powerful, along with supplements, over the counter type supplements, most of them that will prevent the cancer stem cells from growing back after the cancer is gone. Whether you use chemotherapy, immunotherapy or radiation, it will keep it gone. And ivermectin is a big deal because it's always the one that's combined with the mebendazole and the fenbendazole, which are dewormer as well, but they do different ones.
Panel Moderator / Dr. Gina Louden
Yeah, it really is an amazing medicine and probably the most useful medicine of our time with the least side effects. I want to shift gears right now and I just want to talk to Dr. Louden about screen time in kids and adults and the harmful blue light. Can you educate the audience on that?
Dr. Gina Louden
Yeah. The screen time is such a big thing. We saw a victory this week that now companies can be held accountable for social media and increasing screen time. How many of you know how much screen time you have per day? How many of you know that number? For how many of you is that over 10 hours a day? Over five? It's crazy numbers. The average American, seven to 10 hours a day. If you're in media like me, it's more like 11 hours a day. I think, my gosh, what in the heck am I doing? Do I ever see a person? But you know the thing that I think we have to recognize about screen time because in our schools especially, they're not just. It's not just the screen time. It's not just the time on their phones in the evening now they've switched from pen and pencil. Right now everything's on a tablet. Every test you take is on a tablet. Today the kids, their recreation is on a tablet. That's not even to mention the time you might be letting them be on a.
Panel Moderator / Dr. Gina Louden
What, what exactly is the blue light doing to our brain though?
Dr. Gina Louden
Yeah, well, it increases dopamine and that Tends to addict them because it's such a quick surge of dopamine that it tends to addict them. And you guys, this is exactly what the left wants. They want that constant feed of dopamine so that they can have low information voters, so that they can have people who need a constant fix, so they can. Can control them. But you already knew that. It suppresses melatonin. We all know we're running out of time, so I don't wanna talk too much, but we all know how critical melatonin is to your. Not just your mental health, but your physical health. Very important. Increases anxiety and depression, causes weight loss.
Panel Moderator / Dr. Gina Louden
What are some solutions?
Dr. Gina Louden
Insulin resistance.
Panel Moderator / Dr. Gina Louden
What are some solutions? My kids got me some blue light blocking glasses.
Dr. Gina Louden
Yeah, that's one thing.
Panel Moderator / Dr. Gina Louden
The first day I wore them, I looked at my phone and I didn't even want to look at it. And I slept so much better.
Dr. Gina Louden
Red light, red light. Sauna and homeschool your kids.
Alex Stein
Right?
Panel Moderator / Dr. Gina Louden
One last question, Luke. How did you manage your diabetes on the road, traveling, not getting too low on your sugar and not getting too high. What did you do?
Luke Branquinho
Yeah, that was just movement. Like, I was the type of guy that I couldn't stay still. I didn't want to be stuck in the rig, in the trailer. We'd stop, I'd go out and stay active. You know, especially at a young age, the more movement I could do, the more that my insulin numbers were lower. Right? So I made sure that we tried to exercise. Eating right was tough, but I knew if I could move and stay active, that was one thing that really helped benefit, regulate my blood sugars.
Panel Moderator / Dr. Gina Louden
Thank you. Final thoughts. What are we going to leave the audience with?
Barbara Lowry
Barb, I have a final thought about that, about diet and homeopathy, where with homeopathy you can use that as a single remedy that will override chronic problems and get you healthy. But what in homeopathy, what we call a maintaining cause, like living in a damp basement and coughing all the time, that's a maintaining cause. You can only get so healthy when you've got a maintaining cause. A bad diet is a maintaining cause. And real quickly, somebody with enlarged prostate eating a horrible diet, if you just clean up the diet and do nothing else, you get healthy again. I have seen it happen to people.
Panel Moderator / Dr. Gina Louden
Gina, what would you like to leave
Dr. Gina Louden
super important to recognize the reason this panel was named this Cigars at the beginning of it. That's because nicotine has been found to be very healthy. Just know this, everything they told you for the last 50 years is probably a lie. So question everything. But you're conservatives and you already do that.
Panel Moderator / Dr. Gina Louden
Luke, you have anything you want to add?
Julio Gonzalez
I do.
Luke Branquinho
If we're going to talk about some steak, make sure you eat clean. If you're going to follow myself, I have a big announcement coming out here a little bit with a company that is making clean beef jerky and it's going to be amazing and keep our country healthy.
Panel Moderator / Dr. Gina Louden
Right on.
Dr. Gina Louden
Thank you all.
Singer / Worship Leader
Sam,

Welcome back to CPAC 2026. You just saw Dr. Gina Louden from American Sunrise speaking on stage on a Make America Healthy Again panel. Before we take you to break, we want to let you know about this from Birch Gold Group. We've got great friends at Birch Gold Group. They're a tremendous sponsor for us. They've got something called the Inflation Challenge. Now I just played it. I think you should do this. There's a, there's a QR code that's going to come up on your screen. Scan that QR code free to enter and the, the winner of this is going to get a 1 oz Gold American Eagle coin. So that's what you win if you win this. Now it's a series, David, of about like I'd say 8 to 10 questions where you guess the prices of various things. So maybe a washer and dryer in 1968, the price of gas in 1954, the price of a dozen eggs in 1978. It's pretty cool. Are you going to play it?
David Zier
I'm going to play it. I used to the pizza index. How much was pizza in 1975? But you know, the average price of gas today is 398 per gallon. It was 291amonth ago. Diesel's 539.
Bo Davidson
And what, what do you think, what do you think the price of gas would have been in 1965?
David Zier
1965.
Bo Davidson
You had to take a guess.
David Zier
70 cents a gallon.
Bo Davidson
I don't know if that's the correct answer or not, but you can find out. Actually, you don't, you don't know if you've won, if you've won or if you got the answers right. It's going to give you a series about, like I said, 8 to 10 questions. Make sure you do this because the winner, if you are correct, is going to win a 1 oz Gold American Eagle coin. And that's from our friends at Birch Gold Group. So make sure you scan that QR code for you to enter and you will win a prize if you get those answers correct. We'll be right back with more coverage of CPAC 2020.

And welcome back to CPAC 2026 from Grapevine, Texas. Bo Davidson law here with David Zier and John Spagnola. John, before we went to the stage, we had to take some of our wonderful speakers there, but we were talking about the issue of veterans and veteran suicide. Do you think that the Department of Veterans affairs is doing enough in terms of this very important issue? Because we've got Secretary Collins there. I think he's done a good job at the va. But are they doing enough in terms of this issue? And if not, why?
John Spagnola
Good question. No, they're not really doing enough. Unfortunately, that shows that the suicide rates haven't changed in 10 to 20 years. And I think we can, we can make a difference if we make sure the veterans understand the high risk medications and their side effects. And right now, veterans have no idea, for the most part, the fact that the first, the first symptom and the medications is actually suicide ideation, hallucinations, anxiety, depression and even homicide. These are side effects. But they're not being told that. And I have federal legislation sponsored by Senator Sheehy out of Montana and Gus Billarakis out of Florida. It's called the Written Informed Consent Act. You can look it up. And I urge your listeners, if they want to help drop suicides, please call 202-224-3121 again, 202-224-3121 and put your zip code and they will send you right to your congressman and your two senators and let them know to support the written Informed Consent Act.
David Zier
So we just want to wrap up with what are the alternatives? Right. So I was watching a special maybe ketamine, low doses and other types of things, but what are the alternatives to the types of drugs that the soldiers have been on you know, to treat not only PTSD but other issues.
John Spagnola
No, that's a great question. And it's something else. Unfortunately the veterans aren't told about. They have alternatives and some of them are canine therapy, hyperbaric treatment, chiropractic, acupuncture, you know, cognitive behavioral treatment, even exercise and art therapy are available. Right. But written informed consent will ensure the veteran knows those treatment options and the side effects. That's why they have to implement that in the va. It's already implemented for high, for long term term pain opioids. They just have to add five classes of medications like antidepressants, antipsychotics, stimulants, benzos, benzodiazepines and narcotics. If we can add those and implement in the va, we're going to save thousands of lives.
Bo Davidson
It's interesting, John, because I think even back about what President Trump said during COVID the solution can't be worse than the problem. The solution cannot be worse than the problem. Exactly. And right now it sounds like you're saying a lot of the medications are worse than the outcome of them is worse than if they never took them at all. Is that right?
John Spagnola
You're right. And that also goes back to the fact that we're not treating the source of the problem. We're treating symptoms and they're not doing enough testing to find out could it be a nutritional deficiency, could it be a hormone imbalance or a chemical toxin? If we can find that out, we could get to the source of the problems.
David Zier
John Spagnolo, you have a website or.
John Spagnola
Yeah, Veterans Strategic Solutions. Or you could go to john spagnola.com
David Zier
all right, thank you, John. Now we're going to head back to the stage. Now.
Tim D.
This most. We are a free market economy generally and we have been. That accounts for a lot of it. But a lot of economies are. Sorry, Steve. A lot. Some economies are not a lot. Maybe more should be. But nobody comes close to us in terms of intellectual property. So a lot of us like to call that the secret sauce of innovation. One last thing, in terms of affordability, you can't have affordability for something that's not available. So everybody wants to talk about how much cheaper drugs are in foreign countries. What they don't tell you is a lot of those foreign countries, even advanced countries, Britain, Germany, Japan, Australia, they get somewhere around half to two thirds of the new life saving drugs that we get in America. They just don't sell them because you can't sell them there because you'll just lose money on it. So affordability, sometimes used in air quotes, can just make things unavailable. So when we start imposing price controls, if you're a developer, why are you going to develop something and sink billions of dollars into creating it if you can't make a profit off of it? And so keep that in mind. And that's why it's so important in intellectual property.
Tim, let me. TIM D. Let me come back to.
Host/Interviewer
I know, Timmy, a little confusing.
Tim D.
TIMMY D. Sounds too close to Lee.
Yes. Let me, let me come back to the issue. Another issue we've all been working on is the issue President Trump talks about. Middlemen, right? He talks about this issue of. And your colleague Phil Kirpin has done some great work on this. Both of your colleagues, Steve and Tim, on the issue of the middlemen and PBMs. This is a big debate. Talk about the middlemen. Talk about why this is a problem. Talk about the work you guys are doing on all of this.
Steve Moore
Well, look, I mean, if you try and understand how a drug comes to market, it's going to take you an undergraduate degree, maybe an advanced degree to figure it out. It is the most complex system that we have, and it's been that way because of groups like AARP and Democrats and, you know, liberal Republicans who have enlabeled the system to be this way.
Tim D.
Hold on, you're laying up. Tell us all how you really feel about aarp. Tim, please.
Bo Davidson
Sorry.
Steve Moore
FAARP Amen about that. We can all rise that. Sorry, mom, but I have to say it. FAARP but what. But really, with the PBMs, you place somebody in the middle that's doing something that they don't have to report. They don't have to report how much money they're negotiating for, how much money they give. Does this sound like the transparent government that we were promised in 1776? Does this sound like it? Because this is all federal law that enables them to do it. And so when you include that in a system, prices go up, drugs become less available and people suffer. People like me suffer for it.
Tim D.
And this is, this is part of what the President's doing with Trump. RX is one way of tilting at this windmill. What the FTC has been doing. There was some language in the one big beautiful Bill act to get rid of the, the nasty rebates that don't actually get rebated back to consumers. So this is all progress here. Steve, as an economist, the issue of scarcity, right? We understand that when insurance gets involved, and it's not really insurance in the traditional sense, right? It's a cost sharing mechanism. It obfuscates the way the market is supposed to work. But we also simply don't have enough doctors, nurses and. And physicians, assistants to go around. How do you know, how do we deal with this? How do we get the greater abundance with the AARP and UnitedHealth and others sort of getting in the middle there.
Host/Interviewer
I'm going to make this really simple
Ryan Reynolds
to people because I think you'd all agree with this.
Host/Interviewer
In this country, we could get better.
Bo Davidson
All right, we were just looking at a panel there with economist Steve Moore. Back here, Bo Davidson, David Zier, and we're joined by Alex Stein, prime time. Alex Stein, that is the pimp on a blank limp.
Alex Stein
Yes. Thank you. I appreciate the proper introduction. But, you know, I'm Primetime 99. I'm not just Alex Stein. You know, the Supreme Court justice of Israel is named Alex Stein. So I gotta differentiate myself. You know what I mean? There's a lot of.
David Zier
Alex put an underscore in between.
Alex Stein
Yeah, I mean, something. Even though I try to take some of his clout, I think that'll keep me safe. But yeah, I'm primetime 99 on the grind all the time. It's such a pleasure to be here with you fellas.
Bo Davidson
Well, Alex, we had a good night last night at 6pm because we had an entertainment hour. Never been done before. Never been done in rab. Never been done before in CPAC at all. I think it really spiced things up. You kicked off the night for us, which I thought was great with the comedic set. I don't think people were expecting how entertaining it was going to be. Not because of you. I just don't think people knew that we could offer something like this.
Alex Stein
No. And Rob was great. I mean, I did okay. But I'm telling you, Deepak, with the music and the violin, last night was unbelievable. That was great. I mean, I'm just saying I've never seen that. I mean, I've seen him, but I've never seen that at one of these type events. It was awesome.
Bo Davidson
Yeah, and he was doing like some Ed Sheeran stuff. He was doing loops, feedback loops, which is pretty impressive. We had Natasha Owens, of course, you guys know her. She's got three, two or three songs, at least I believe, on Real America's music. Alex, tell me about some of the stuff you're going to be talking about next week on your show. What have you got planned?
Alex Stein
Well, you know, this is crazy, but I don't know if you're familiar with Sam Hyde A good friend of mine, his name's Sam Hyde, I'm going on a show this week.
Singer / Worship Leader
Week.
Alex Stein
It's called fish tank.
Colin McEvers
Bo.
Alex Stein
And it's crazy. It's a 247 reality show where they watch us. We all live in a house. It's like Big Brother. And then I am one of the producers of that show. So I'm about to go into a house and it's a hell house.
David Zier
Bo.
Alex Stein
I know that sounds weird, but we yell at each other, we fight each other, we cut people's hair when they're asleep. It's insane. So that project, the clips always go viral. So be on the lookout for primetime on Fish Tank. I know that's the, not necessarily a political thing, but it's insane if you've ever watched reality to do that.
Bo Davidson
Have you done this before?
Alex Stein
Well, yeah, I've been working on it for four years. And what we do is we find young people and there's some, you know, middle aged people that come on the show and we live in a houseboat and they compete for $50,000. And it's. And it's 247 live. So like if we're sleeping, we're live. And I have to go there and I have to live with these hoodlums basically, and to 24 7. So that's. I'm going to be there on Monday. So I'm kind of nervous, Beau, if I'm being honest. I'm a little nervous to be on camera for 72 hours straight.
David Zier
I'll get the show underwritten.
Alex Stein
Well, honestly, a guy by the name of Sam Hyde, a good friend of mine, and it makes a lot of money because this is what makes the show unique. People can interact. So we have, there's speakers in every room where they can pay money to send a super chat and they can tell us the most idiotic things. They can make fun of us. They'll call me fat, they'll call me dumb, and you have to listen to it all day long. So it's a big project. I've been doing it for four years. I'm really nervous. I'm not even excited. I'm anxious to go on Fish Tank on Monday.
David Zier
When's the launching?
Host/Interviewer
Next week?
Alex Stein
Well, no, the show's going on now, but I always go on usually on the second week and I go on for a few days and it's just gonna be insane, Bo. Trust me. You guys are gonna see the clips. They always, they always go viral.
David Zier
Maybe you'll come back with like no hair or something.
Alex Stein
Yeah, that's what I'm saying. No, it's gonna be terrible. I come back and I'm skinnier because there's no. There's hardly any food. And I get my hair, my eyebrows shaved off. It's going to be insane. I'm not looking forward to it. But other than that, this. This event's great. I've just talked to so many great people. Obviously, Jack Posowic's a good friend of mine, you know, hanging out with just so many interesting conservatives that actually care about this country. So it's such a fun event.
Bo Davidson
Have you been to a CPAC before, Alex?
Alex Stein
Oh, I've been to a bunch. I've been to a bunch. And, you know, I work for Turning Point. I love Turning Point, But I think CPAC's a little different only because it's not just demographically different. The vibe is different because they make fun of, like, millennials versus boomers. Boomers and us agree on all domestic issues, but it's kind of the foreign policy issues that cause the most drama here. And you see the. The pro Iran protesters. It's. It's fun. This is a fun event. And you get a lot of different
Bo Davidson
flavors and a lot of Texas flavors, too.
David Zier
Yeah.
Bo Davidson
Here at the Gaylord, we got the Alamo in the background here. Well, guys, make sure you tune in all for our coverage today and especially 6pm tonight, 6 to 7. You'll see Alex Stein. I'll be performing, too. Going to have a great lineup. Make sure you stay tuned.

Podcast: Real America’s Voice (iHeartPodcasts)
Theme: Conservative political conference coverage with a focus on faith, American values, grassroots activism, minority outreach, economic policy, wellness, and veteran advocacy.
This CPAC 2026 live coverage episode transports listeners to the heart of the Conservative Political Action Conference in Grapevine, Texas. The hosts deliver interviews, on-stage moments, worship sessions, policy roundtables, and reflections on key issues facing the Republican movement. Central topics include American values, freedom of speech, faith, anti-socialism/anti-Marxism messaging, minority outreach (notably to Hispanic voters), wellness and alternative medicine, defending U.S. sovereignty, and supporting America’s farmers and veterans.
The episode carries an impassioned, faith-infused, and unapologetically conservative tone throughout. The speakers blend personal testimony, policy detail, humor, and exhortation with overt religious language and populist framing. The language is often direct, patriotic, and combative toward political opponents and alternative worldviews.
If you missed this episode, you missed a vivid cross-section of CPAC’s conservative movement: faith-driven patriotism, community activism, deep concern for “traditional values” in public life, and energetic efforts to mobilize, especially around issues of religious freedom, border security, minority outreach, family health and sovereignty, farming, and veterans’ welfare. The episode blends worship, politics, grassroots stories, expert panels (on everything from tax law to alternative medicine), and classic CPAC exuberance—an immersive, on-the-ground portrait of the right’s priorities moving into 2026.
