There's so many places on Pentecost Sunday all people are going to hear is an apology for the Holy Spirit. Some of you are going to hear things today that maybe you haven't heard before. Why haven't they heard them before? Why do you have one Pentecost Sunday a year when we used to have 52? If you want to know what you're lacking in life, it's the infilling of the Holy Spirit. It will change you immediately. My mother gave her life to the Lord. You can be seated by herself. Somebody handed her a tract and her follow up team was the Holy Spirit. She prayed the prayer, Jesus came into her heart. She felt radically different and then went to a church that was near her house that was a Jehovah's Witness church, I think. And she said when she sat down, she heard a voice on the inside of her say, get out of here. Sorry. If you're Jehovah's Witness, take it up with the Holy Ghost. He doesn't like you. And then she looked up in the phone book, which obviously was guided by the Holy Spirit as well. And because Assemblies of God was in the A's, that was the first one. She went to the Assemblies of God church. I believe in Deal, New Jersey. Are you? Yeah, it was in Deal. Where were you guys living? She rode her bike to Deal. Right? But you guys, where were you? Wanamasa, New Jersey. And then I can't remember how far she rode her bike. I know it sounds like an old guy story, but I think my, you know, New Jersey by the shore, it's not like it's a bad bike ride. My mom pedaled like 11 miles to that ag church and back at 15, only one in her family now her sister. Her sister's whole family. Her other sister's in Texas. Kathy, if her car didn't break down, the whole family saved because of the work of the Holy Spirit and the churches that were founded. When you go to an Assemblies of God church, I used to be licensed with them. That church was not started so that people could preach the gospel or call people to Christ. People were already doing that. That church was started so people that were filled with the Holy Ghost could have a place to worship where you could worship in spirit and in truth. And now you are hard pressed. Big churches in Pittsburgh that were built by the Holy Ghost are now big empty churches with no trace of the Holy Ghost. Why did the keyboard player abandon me? I'm saying depressing things. I could use some light music. Wherever you want. Good. That's. That's worse. Sounds like you just died on a video game. Everybody said we need the Holy Ghost. Let me see. Acts chapter one, verse five. So tonight and then so you hear apology, quick reference and then other churches you're going to hear facts about the Holy Ghost. But somebody telling me facts about Adoles is not equal to me knowing adolescent. The Holy Spirit is not a historical figure like former president Benjamin Harrison to be studied and know the facts about him. That's good to know. But he's. He's to know he's a person. The Godhead has three persons. God the Father, God the Son and God the Holy Ghost. And that one is ignored. The Holy Spirit is absolutely beyond ignored. Ignored and unwelcome in, in Sunday church. Some of you came from churches in Texas or Pittsburgh where there's such a heart cry for. For. It's like when you get saved. Something on the inside of you knows there's more. I'm reading things in the Bible and where I'm sitting looks nothing like what I'm reading in the Bible. I'm reading the services in the Book of Acts and I don't see that there's something more. I'm not meant to be asking for prayer for the same sin for the next 21 years. I'm not meant to have a testimony that I. I battle alcohol. It's been four years, 11 months and three days since my last drink. I struggle every day, but God helps me. No, that's not what you read in the Bible. You read he who the son sets free is free indeed. The ministry of the Holy Spirit. I was watching the church I attended as a boy down in Washington County, Houston, Pennsylvania. Central assembly of God they had 30 some people in their church. And Pastor Volp came, Ralph Volp, and they were interviewing several of the congregation members from that time. I think all of them were 80 to 85 in there. And they said, what caused the church. They were doing, like a documentary. I think you'd still watch it on YouTube. What caused the church to grow from 30 to 500? And I think they did that in one year. No YouTube, no Facebook right here in Washington County. They said, oh, we started to get hungry for God and pray. And one of the Sundays when the pastor was preaching, he prayed, and three of the women got hit with the power of God and went over the seat, back into the seat behind them, like they were picked up and thrown by the power of God. It sounded like a wind went through the place. And they said, then someone gave a message in tongues. And the interpretation was, begin to believe me for 500 people now. Everybody say now. And they said, we began to pray for 500 people. That sanctuary, if you go to, some of you went to Central assembly of God. That old sanctuary that they used to call the upper room, I don't know what they call it now. That's the Youth and Children's room. The Holy Ghost turned what was their sanctuary into their children's room. And then before you knew it, there were 500 people. They said, well, how'd the 500 come? They said, when we prayed, we got the desire to go out and go door to door in Houston and Canonsburg. The first door that I knocked at, we knocked at the door. And the lady said in Polish, are you from a church? They said, how did you know? She said, I was just praying that God would send people to tell me about Himself. See, you can do the right things, but you can do them cold. You can do them without the anointing, and everything's fighting uphill. But if you'll get. If you'll let the Holy Spirit fill your life, all the things you're struggling for, or if we did like they do at a lot of churches, how many need prayer? And then go around and tell your needs, all those needs, God already knows them. I was preaching yesterday in Phoenix at our church there, and I was going around laying hands on people, and it was powerful. I'm going to do that today because you don't need to just hear about the Holy Spirit. You need to know the Holy Spirit, just like you can go to hell knowing every fact there is about Jesus Christ. You know, he's born in a manger. You know, he's born in Bethlehem. You know, he lived in Israel. You can recite the sermons he taught, but if he doesn't live in your heart, you're not born again. But if he lives in your heart, you don't just become a Christian. You are born again. And when the Holy Spirit enters in, you're not just a better Christian. You carry the power of heaven to dominate in this life. Can you say Amen? Get the Azusa street video, just so people know what I'm talking about. So I was praying, and a lady, as I got ready to pray, started to tell you she's been coming to the church a while. She's always. She likes to talk, which is great. But I went to la. I went sh. You can't receive talking. You can't speak in tongues. Speaking about your problems in English. You have to lift your hands and open your heart. And today is a receiving service. Pentecost Sunday is not a day to leave and say, I found out more facts about the Holy Spirit. It's a day to leave with joy and singing that I got power from heaven. That where I was weak, now I am strong. Can you say amen? So yesterday at that service in Arizona, before I started praying for everybody, don't bother bringing me water. Just gotta quit smoking. This lady has been bringing her husband, who has cancer. And so he's bald as a cue ball and thin. And he looked thinner than when I was there last month. So I said, stand up and let me pray for you. I prayed real strong against the cancer. And then I'll tell you what he told me. Roll it. This is yesterday morning. I pray for you, my friend. You're getting stronger. See how you stood right up? Put one hand on your belly. Lift your hand. Cursed be this cancer in Jesus. Cancer? Really? They want me to go one more round. What happened? Last scan. Last scan. They said no sign of cancer. When we talk about the power of the Holy Ghost, we're not talking about warm feeling or. Or, you know, something like. Like spooky. We're talking about cancer destroying power, depression destroying power. There's people. How did this church get so big? Talk to the people who are here. How? They came in as cutters or with eating disorders or with severe depression. There's a man here that I won't point out. He was going to kill himself. He just went through one of the hardest things he ever went through in his life and was sitting in a dark room. And then his doorbell started ringing incessantly at like 11:00pm Ding, ding, ding, ding. Ding, ding. And so he gets, what is this? Am I under attack? And it's two Puerto Rican twin sisters who felt in prayer. This guy that has been to our church one time to go there at 11 o' clock and they said, let us in. He said, no, I'm not letting anybody in. I'm glad that you came back from the church. And Adalus knew, you gotta let me in. She didn't know that story. She just knew the Lord told her, you need to go in there and be with that guy. And so her and Magalis, finally, he won't relent. And they go into the house and talk and pray. And Magalis and Adalys have them laughing because that's what they do, full of the joy of the Lord. And then he said, I'll be at your church this Sunday and I'll never miss your church. And I couldn't count. I don't know if he has missed. If he has missed, he's missed two times in the last two years or three years. That was a complete away from God guy that the Holy Spirit used. When you get full of the Holy Spirit, he'll use you to rescue people. Your Christianity doesn't become self focused, it becomes Lord, use me. Let me see. 1 Corinthians 16. No, 1st Corinthians 9 16. 1st Corinthians 9 16. If I preach the gospel, I have nothing to glory of. For necessity is laid upon me. Yea, woe is unto me if I preach not the gospel. I command everything to form right in this child right now. Quickly discharge from the nicu. Do it, oh Lord, to confirm your word in Jesus name. Let that baby be a mighty preacher. Did you have your baby last week? Thursday of last week, and just share.

We find out about 20 weeks gestational age that he had a hole in his diaphragm and his stomach. We were told at that time his stomach was in his chest cavity. And they sent us to Cincinnati Children's Hospital because they have a team of specialists there. They wanted to do an experimental surgery. And we said, no, you're not playing with my baby. We believe in God, we don't believe in experimental surgery. So we knew, we knew very early on that it was going to be a battle. They kept telling us his lungs were going to be underdeveloped. His heart was shifted to the right side of his chest, which was really weird when he was born to see his heartbeat on the wrong side of his chest. It was really freaky. Today we found out that God has moved his heart almost back to the center. His right lung is starting to show that it's making some sounds. It's not ready to breathe on its own yet. And I finally have a doctor that is telling me he actually has two lungs, which we've stood on all along. They're calling it a lung nub on his left side. So we're gonna call it his little nub. That's gonna grow. Cause that's what it will do. He was removed from dialysis yesterday morning. They're looking at taking his. He has a stomach drain. Cause they weren't sure if his stomach was gonna work at all. So he has a stomach drain that they're gonna let the air into today. And providing that, I'm expecting that we're gonna hear the air that's gonna go through his gut that's gonna come out tonight or tomorrow morning. And they're gonna put a feeding tube in so he can start getting my milk in his little body. About 20 weeks gestation, they sent us in for our anatomy scan. And they immediately called us and said, we've called in somebody else for you. And then that person said, oh, by the way, we've called another person. He had almost no diaphragm. So his stomach, 20 weeks gestation, they could see it in the pictures. His intestines, his stomach, his liver and his spleen were taking up all of the place of his left lung. It was pushing his heart to the right side of his chest, his esophagus to the right side of his chest, and he almost had no right lung. Prognosis was extremely grim, at best, 50% chance of life for him. They wanted to do an experimental treatment for him, and we turned it down. Because God's word says, he is healed, he is healthy, he is whole. He spent 128 days in the NICU and we did the surgery to have his diaphragm repaired. And I told my kids, wait and see, you made room for God. God's going to fill this chest with two whole lungs. Just last week was the first time I saw his left lung and his right lung the same size on the X rays. God is so good. Only God. Today is his birthday.

When you get full of the Holy Spirit, he'll use you to rescue people. Your Christianity doesn't become self focused. It becomes Lord, use me. Let me see. First Corinthians 16. No. First Corinthians 9 16. First Corinthians 9 16. If I preach the gospel, I have nothing to glory of. For necessity is laid upon me, yea, woe is unto me if I preach not the gospel. Let me see. NLT 16 NLT. Yet preaching the gospel is not something I can boast about. I'm compelled by God to do it. I'm not bragging at all. But if someone doesn't have that, then they can't understand somebody like me. That's why ministers that don't have that, hey, you need to slow down. You know, you're away a lot. You don't get it. I am compelled to preach the gospel. If I. I can't even stop. Let me tell you something about the Holy Spirit. Keep that scripture up. I've told this story. This is what the Holy Spirit will do. We finished preaching in Spokane, Washington. Laid hands on everybody, Got on the plane, took off at 11:30pm made it down to Phoenix, and I drove to a Mexican restaurant there that's surrounded by barbed wire fence. It's folding tables and folding chairs outside. There's no indoor dining, and everybody speaks Spanish there. So I come in. I'd been coming there every night. Some people take Ambien before they go to sleep. I like a burrito. It does the same thing, but there's no side effects. You don't wake up naked having stabbed someone to death. So I went there and I took Ben and Tessa and Abraham, who were with me. And then our pilots came with us for the first time, which was the Holy Ghost once from Iran. In this situation, he was no help. But the other one, Aziel, that comes here all the time, he's from the Dominican Republic and Spanish is his first language. Well, the waitresses had looked me up from when I was coming every night because I don't fit in. It's all Mexicans. It's one in the morning, and then I come in like this because I'm coming straight from church. So I could tell it freaked everybody out at first. They thought, like, when does I stop working? It's one in the morning. And so you sit down, you're the only white guy there. And they looked me up and I tipped well. So then they all go to Aziel, and the waitresses all start talking to them. And Asiel comes over to me and says, they want to know if you can pray for them. They looked you up on Instagram and saw you're a pastor. I said, sure. So the one lady translates through him. My husband's been drinking, and I love him, but. And he's a good guy, but when he gets drunk, it's bad and it's Wrecking our house. Can you pray? I said, sure. Grabbed her hands and prayed, and she fell out under the power in the concrete. So then the next, you'd think that would clear everybody away. Everybody starts coming out of the kitchen. It looked like when you go to feed one squirrel and then they all start coming, Boy, they really got the point across. Jeez. And so. So the next one, my son's on drugs, and he's a good boy, but, you know, the drugs are destroying him. Can you pray? And then, next thing you know, what had happened at the church service in Spokane had been recreated supernaturally at a Mexican restaurant outside while people looked on. And then you can ask, is Abraham here? So when we drove the next week to go eat there, when our car pulled in, what did everybody do? Everybody waved and clapped, came out from the kitchen. I've never pulled up to a restaurant before and had the whole staff come out and give me a standing ovation because you helped them by the power of God. And I'm pleased to report that that's what's happening in America right now. There is a turning to God. There's an interest in Jesus Christ and an interest in his power. I want you to put on the screen. Acts, chapter 19, verse 1. Acts 19:1. While Apollos was in Corinth, Paul traveled through the interior regions until he reached Ephesus on the coast, where he found several believers. His first question, did you receive the Holy Spirit when you believed? Everybody say the importance of the baptism in the Holy Spirit. Did you receive the Holy Spirit since you believed Not. Oh, great to meet other Christians today. I'm not going to get stoned to death. I met people that already believe in Christ. Whoo. You know, that guy's getting beat up and put in prison everywhere he goes. I'll tell you, if I was on the mission field in Yemen and I met other Catholics, I wouldn't bring up praying to Mary. I wouldn't argue. I'd be fine. Yeah, I know there's things we disagree on, but there's the main things we get right. I'm just glad I've got allies. So the fact that Paul would make this a point of contention. Did you receive the Holy Spirit since you believe, you gotta ask yourself one of two. Two questions. Was he being argumentative because he liked to debate? No, he taught against that. This shows you the importance of being filled with the Holy Ghost. Paul was telling them, if you don't get this, you're not gonna make it in the Roman Empire. And I'm not doing this to preach some doctrine to make us different than other churches. You are not gonna make it in the United States in west where sex and everything's being pushed at you, you can't resist it in human power. You must be full of the fire of the Holy Ghost. And God has that for you today. Did you receive the Holy Spirit when you believed? No. They replied, we haven't even heard that there is a Holy Spirit. Say this out loud. I will never receive what I don't hear. Todd. And preach to me. Faith comes how? Hearing and hearing the word. So all the pastors and a lot watch and I don't have anybody in mind. But if this convicts you, it should convict you. You know, to be somebody that says no, I believe in all that, Jonathan. Our people just aren't ready for that yet. Yes, and my daughter wasn't ready to read. But my her first grade teacher didn't say, hey, I'd love to teach reading, but these kids aren't really there yet. Yes, it's your job to get them there. So to be a pastor and lower the word to what people are ready for you, you bankrupt your church, you bankrupt it spiritually, you bankrupt the people. Tell the people, people the riches of God's glory. Tell them the riches of his power. Tell them what he has for them today. We haven't even heard that there is a Holy Spirit. Then what baptism did you experience? They replied, the baptism of John. Paul said John's baptism called for repentance from sin. But John himself told the people to believe in the one who would come later. Now keep that there. I'm very thankful for all of the hundreds of thousands of baptisms that are taking place in the United States that needs to happen. But if you leave it there, there's even churches that today on Pentecost Sunday are baptizing people. You better make sure they get a second baptism. Because you listen to me, boy, I'm actually going to get re baptized. You can get baptized a thousand times in water. It's not going to make up for getting baptized in water and then getting baptized in the Holy Spirit. You know what Jesus said? I'll show you what he said. Put Acts 1:5. Acts 1:5. Why do you people make such a big deal about the baptism of the Holy Spirit? Because Jesus did. You guys should just preach about Jesus. Okay, here's what Jesus said. John baptized with water, but in just a few days, you will be baptized with the Holy Spirit. Everybody say, baptized with the Holy Spirit. Baptized with the Holy Spirit. The same way John took you and dunked you in water and pulled you up. I'm going to take you and douse you, put you into the Holy Spirit and you'll never be the same. What will happen when that happens? Acts 1. 8.

It's like a six, but then it connects. But you. You. What the heck? Just messing with me now. 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 11, 12. Read that first 12 words. The first sentence. God, who will receive power. How many know God has all the power? That's a backslidden church that's ducking out of God's plan. He is the head. We are the body. And you've heard me tell this before. Drugs, heroin, fentanyl. There's no question it's of the devil. It's not even a human thing. It's demonic. But nobody has ever bought drugs from a demon. A demon has to get somebody in cooperation with them to do it. And isn't it interesting? When they apprehended that last cartel leader, they found altars all through cartel headquarters with pictures of saints and candles and blood sacrifice. They're doing what they're doing by demonic power. And just like people need the gospel and need healed, no one gets it. God directly. Christ is the head, you are the body. So God is looking to empower people to be his hands and his feet and go out into the dark with the light of God and remind the devil that 2000 years ago he lost forever. Those people are in this room. God is anointing you right now to make an impact on your generation. Why should you listen to Armstrong and Getty on demand? We're not boring.
