for healing, learn more, and sign the pledge@workingwithcancerpledge.com. So what if one simple product is the secret to better health, more energy, and even great skin? Well, today's guests have unlocked the power of nitric oxide, and the results they're seeing are changing lives. They're here to share the breakthroughs you're seeing and how it could transform your life, too. But before we get to that, join me around the table. That was an open. Everybody's like, what are you talking about? April Simons, how are you?
Joni
I am all in.
Joni Lamb
You are?
Joni
Honey, you had me at the skincare right there.
Joni Lamb
I know. I'm excited about it. You're ready to go. All right. Anna Kendall. I have been looking for a magic bullet. I mean, you think we found it today? Listen, you know, I know you don't mind telling your age, but you look amazing. And our guest would have been Agree. You are how old?
Joni
84.
Dr. Nathan Bryan
Wow.
Joni Lamb
And it's wow. It is wow. Wow. So Dorothy Newton. Yes. And I'm 55 and just living.
Dr. Nathan Bryan
55 and fabulous.
Joni Lamb
55 alive. All right. Rachel Lamp Brown. How are you?
Rachel Lamp Brown
I'm good. I'm 36. No, I'm just kidding. But I, you know, honestly, like, I've never tried this, but I have heard you rave about it, and you're so particular about all the things, and so now it makes me want to try it because you literally, like, love this so much.
Joni Lamb
So good. Cindy Johnston, are you interested? Yes. You are? Of course I am. I am very interested. All right. All right. Ready to hear all about it. Well, Dr. Nathan Bryan and Susan Schaefer are here to talk about that. So glad you two are joining the table today. We're excited to be here with you. Welcome. Well, Dr. Nathan Bryant has dedicated his life to studying nitric oxide. And alongside his business partner, Susan Schaefer, he spent the last 16 years Pioneering therapies and developing supplements that help people experience better health. You may have never heard of nitric oxide, but it could be exactly what you've been looking for. Now, it's going to be a little different table talk today.
Susan Schaefer
Okay.
Joni Lamb
Because lots of people have tried to get me to talk about their products. Rarely do. I do have y'.
Rachel Lamp Brown
All.
Joni Lamb
Rarely. Other than the hormone cream, I mean, or something like that. But I wanted to try this for several months. And we'll Tell you about it. It's amazing. I'll get Dr. Brian and Susan to share about it, but I have to believe in it before I will share it with the audience. So that's why I'm sharing it with the audience today, because I think it can be a blessing. And that's what I'm all about. That's what you're about. Dr. Brian, talk a little bit about what is nitric oxide, what you do for a living, and how you came to develop these products.
Dr. Nathan Bryan
Well, thanks, Joni. Thank you, ladies. Great being with you. Now, nitric oxide, it's a molecule that's naturally produced in the lining of the blood vessels. It regulates blood flow, improves circulation, oxygen delivery.
Joni Lamb
Okay, so all of us have nitric oxide. It's in the lining of our blood vessels, but it's diminishing as we get older.
Susan Schaefer
That's right.
Dr. Nathan Bryan
That's exactly right.
Joni Lamb
You don't have as much.
Dr. Nathan Bryan
Well, fortunately, we've solved that riddle. We don't have to age related spine.
Joni Lamb
So finish telling us about it.
Dr. Nathan Bryan
Yeah. So as you alluded to, I spent the past 25 years in academia as a professor of molecular medicine, studying how the human body makes nitric oxide, what leads to a loss of its production. And then once we solve that, then we can start to develop product technology that, that recapitulates and restores the natural production. So if your body has lost the ability to make it for whatever reason, then these products provide it back to you.
Joni Lamb
So, Susan, talk a little bit about the development of the products, because I know you've been involved in that. Not all products that say nitric oxide have the genuine nitric oxide.
Susan Schaefer
That's right. So nitric oxide, it's my favorite molecule. I mean, I didn't know about it until I met Dr. Brian, and then I couldn't live without it. Nitric oxide, you know, it's a gas and it can dissipate very quickly. And so what he has done is figured out to deliver it in a solid form. And so we have the lozenge and we also have the topical serum, which is the first ever to come to market. And like you, I love skincare. I'll be 57 in April. I want to take care of my body. I'm not saying aging isn't bad because that's also a privilege. But I am taking care of my vessel that God has given me to make sure I protect and take care of it as best as possible. So the just to be able to have this technology that is deliverable to the body, our largest organ, or internally.
Joni Lamb
To the skin.
Susan Schaefer
To the skin and internally. We call this the Dino Duo. It's just life changing.
Rachel Lamp Brown
Talk about how it actually works, the science of the cream.
Susan Schaefer
Yeah.
Rachel Lamp Brown
And what makes it different than other products.
Joni Lamb
And I wanted to show you this. So y' all see this? There are two pumps on here. One is vitamin C, one is nitric oxide. So you can't put those together.
Dr. Nathan Bryan
Well, now we can't. So nitric oxide's a gas. And so what we do, the technology is such that whether it's in the lozenge or it's in the serum, we have to keep these actives separated because once they come together, that's when it starts to generate the gas. So these two components, when put together, start to generate nitric oxide gas.
Joni Lamb
So you put a little bit of vitamin C. Yeah, one pump on my side. Nitric oxide.
Dr. Nathan Bryan
One pump from the other side. And then when you mix it together.
Joni Lamb
Mix it together, apply it to the skin, and actually makes your skin turn red because it's pulling the blood to the surface. And why is that important, Susan?
Susan Schaefer
It helps bring oxygen, nutrients to the cells, to the dermis, our largest organ. I mean, it's really bringing vitality to the cell.
Joni Lamb
But why is that important, doctor?
Dr. Nathan Bryan
Well, what we're finding is that the all age related chronic disease is associated with a loss of blood flow to that organ. Whether it's the heart and cardiovascular disease, or it's the liver, the brain and dementia and Alzheimer's, or it's the skin. There's a loss of regulation of blood flow. So you're not getting oxygen and nutrients to cells and they fail. So we lose collagen, we lose hydration. Fine lines and wrinkles set in. Our skin sags. And so our thought process was, if we can restore that missing molecule, can we restore the vitality of the skin? And the answer is yes. And we've demonstrated this in five or six published clinical trials. But it improves oxygen delivery, it mobilizes stem cells, it improves collagen deposition and improves hydration.
Susan Schaefer
Tone, texture, clarity's improved as well, too.
Joni Lamb
Okay, pass my bottle back up. So I wanted to pass it down and let y' all see the two different pumps. Okay. And Rachel, just take and put a little bit on.
Rachel Lamp Brown
Which side do I do it?
Dr. Nathan Bryan
Doesn't matter which side. One pump from one side.
Joni Lamb
One pump on one side.
Joni
No, no, wait.
Susan Schaefer
One of each.
Joni Lamb
Now put the other. You have to do both.
Dr. Nathan Bryan
Now mix it together.
Joni Lamb
Okay. And now you mix them together.
Dr. Nathan Bryan
And now the surface of your skin will turn a slight pink. So what we're doing is we're recruiting capillaries. We're forcing blood flow to that area and flooding it with oxygen.
Joni Lamb
Wonderful.
Susan Schaefer
Joanie, will you hand me the bottle? Yes. I'll show you for busy folks on the go. In the morning, after I wash my face, I do one pump on each side. I mix it together like this. I do it on my face. I do my eye area, I do my neck. I do my lips, always have a little extra. I'll do the back of my hands. My brown spots are gone.
Bennions (Musical Group)
Oh.
Susan Schaefer
And so then I'm ready to go. Maybe about a minute.
Joni Lamb
Okay, look at Rachel's hand now.
Susan Schaefer
And the redness doesn't have any burn or itch or any heat to it.
Joni Lamb
No, no, no, no. It goes away. It just pulls it up.
Susan Schaefer
That's right.
Dr. Nathan Bryan
But it's also improving cellular turnover. So what we have to do is slough off old cells that are dysfunctional and replace them with functional cells that can.
Joni Lamb
Excellent. Would that replace like ecstasy, exfoliating or anything like that or.
Dr. Nathan Bryan
No, I mean, you see it like when you.
Joni Lamb
It's almost like a moisturizer kind of.
Susan Schaefer
It doesn't offer hydration. However, it does help the skin retain moisture. It's not going to be an exfoliant in the sense of like a traditional exfoliant, but it does help with the cell turnover. So it does help daily.
Rachel Lamp Brown
So would you use this like in coordination with what you're already using or does it replace.
Susan Schaefer
Yes. No. We're the first nitric oxide topical. So I would use this. Cleanse your skin, Use this first. Then, you know, everyone has different needs of their skin. So you, like, some people have dry
Joni Lamb
skin, some people have oily. So if they need lotion or whatever. But this is the first to go on the first step.
Susan Schaefer
That's the first step. And it'll make anything else that you put on after absorb even better and work better. Or if you wanted to pair maybe red light therapy with it, you know, it'll make that go better too.
Rachel Lamp Brown
It's really red now.
Susan Schaefer
Yeah, you can see it.
Dr. Nathan Bryan
You know, my dad, who suffered a car accident in 1984, been in a wheelchair for 40 something years, but he developed a lot of non healing wounds and ulcers and he almost died from it. Got septic and got infected. But once we got him over the infection, I took him to the best wound care docs around and everyone told me, you'll never heal that wound.
Joni Lamb
Really.
Dr. Nathan Bryan
And so I just refused to accept that. So I started making a topical nitric oxide specifically to treat my dad's wound. And within six months we had healed a four year old non healing wound.
Joni
Wow.
Dr. Nathan Bryan
When you think about wound care, it's a non healing wound. Whether it's diabetic or pressure ulcer, there's no blood supply to it. So with no blood supply, it's prone to infections. It's isolated from our immune system. And so when you apply nitric oxide, it recruits capillaries, it gets blood flow, it's antibacterial, so it kills a lot of the pathogens and non healing wounds. And remarkably, within six months, we completely healed his wound.
Joni Lamb
Well, you know, Dr. Nathan's nitric oxide system boosts circulation, supports heart health, transforms your skin, and much more. Let's watch and see just how incredible the nitric oxide dino duo is.
Joni
As we grow older, skin changes not
Joni Lamb
just on the surface, but beneath it.
Joni
When nitric oxide declines, circulation slows, wrinkles form and hydration fades.
Joni Lamb
That's why I choose N1O1, a powerful inside out system from Dr. Nathan Bryan, an international leader in molecular medicine. Two innovations, one intention help you become your most radiant, youthful self. The nitric oxide activating serum boosts collagen, increases blood flow and deeply hydrates.
Joni
Fine lines soften, skin feels firmer, smoother, alive again. And to support from within, I take

David
Fuel for the body that carries me through life.
Joni Lamb
Call now or go online to order N101 Dynoduo today. All right, so we talked about the N101 which is for the skin and the face. And talk about the nitric oxide lozenges. This is your number one seller. And, but I ask Dr. Brian and Susan, how could we make this available to our audience? And so we've worked together with them to make it available to you. I mean, these are things that I believe can help people and I've, and I love, I love doing that. So tell me about the lozenges. That's more for the inside. That's actually your number one seller.
Dr. Nathan Bryan
That is. And you know, so again, nitric oxide.
Joni Lamb
Okay girls, each one take those, they actually taste good.
Dr. Nathan Bryan
And so we have to, we had to figure out how do we restore the production of a gas that when it's produced, it's gone in less than a second. That's been a challenge in the field for more than 40 years. In fact, a lot of my colleagues said it could never be done. But that was the riddle we solved with creating a solid dose form of nitric oxide gas. So you put this lozenge in your mouth, and then it's going to dissolve over five to seven minutes.
Joni Lamb
Okay?
Dr. Nathan Bryan
But as it's dissolving right now, it's releasing nitric oxide gas.
Joni Lamb
Just move it over. I think she already looks five years older.
David
It's working.
Susan Schaefer
It's working.
Dr. Nathan Bryan
It turns your hair red and it does better blood flow.
Joni Lamb
It doesn't taste bad, does it? No, it tastes good. Tastes real good. It's like a mint. So we can get one, Dorothy, we'll get one. I was making too much noise.
Dr. Nathan Bryan
But your blood vessels are dilating. We're improving oxygen delivery to every organ, tissue and cell in the body. Right now, as it's dissolving, it's mobilizing stem cells. So if you have an elevation in blood pressure, it's going to support healthy blood pressure.
Rachel Lamp Brown
Is there anybody who should not take it?
Dr. Nathan Bryan
There's only two people in the world who need nitric oxide. It's the people who are sick and want to get better, and it's the people who are healthy and don't want to get sick.
Joni Lamb
Only two types. Go ahead and take it.
Dr. Nathan Bryan
Yeah, and we have kids. You know, my teenage kids have been taking it for a number of years before sporting events because it improves athletic performance. I mean, everything is about circulation, blood flow, oxygen delivery, and performance, whether it's athletic performance, whether it's executive function or, you know, sexual performance.
Joni Lamb
I would think the two most important things are. Excuse me. Circulation and oxygen, for sure, for every. Every organ in your body.
Dr. Nathan Bryan
And nitric oxide, interestingly, is what regulates oxygen delivery.
Joni Lamb
What would be the dosage per day?
Dr. Nathan Bryan
So what. What we've had to do in the supplement space is supplement. What's missing? So we had to understand how much nitric oxide does a healthy person make? And based on American diet, lifestyle, some things, what's missing? And then we make up the delta. So for this particular technology, in the majority of people, one lozenge every 12 hours is sufficient.
Joni Lamb
Or even some people could just do one lozenge a day.
Dr. Nathan Bryan
One lozenge a day. Or, you know, if you've got metabolic syndrome or your blood pressure's elevated, or you get some brain fog, then, you know, you can increase the dose.
Joni Lamb
And so that works more on the inside.
Dr. Nathan Bryan
That's right.
Joni Lamb
Lozenger, which. This is more on the outside. Well, let's look at what we can Actually, how we can make this available to you? I think we have another commercial because, you know, nitric oxide has so many incredible benefits. It can restore age related loss, support damaged skin, and there's so much more. So let's watch this together.
Susan Schaefer
Say n O to fine lines and
Joni Lamb
wrinkles, dull and lifeless skin, large pores and blemishes. Then say yes to great skin with N101 nitric oxide. Activating serum. N101 is the first skin care that restores the age related loss of the Nobel prize winning anti aging molecule nitric oxide to correct damaged skin. The problem is our body makes less nitric oxide as we get older. N1O1 restores the missing no. To address the root cause of aging, aging skin.
Susan Schaefer
The result, wrinkles and dark spots disappear.
Joni Lamb
N101's molecular age defiance begins with just
Susan Schaefer
one pump from the convenient dual chamber bottle.
Joni Lamb
Developed by world renowned nitric oxide biochemist, Dr. Nathan S. Bryant, N101 is patent pending, clinically tested, and doctor recommended. With N101. I went from dull, dry skin, not feeling confident, to a dewy t texture to feeling confident about my skin, feeling more confident generally, and stepping out without makeup. My mom asked me what I was doing. She's like, it looks like you're turning back the hands of time. What are you on?
Dr. Nathan Bryan
I know N101 works because I don't use anything else. I never have used anything else. So there's only one thing that can make the change.
Joni Lamb
All right, so we ask you guys, if you work with us, what's the best price we can come up with? So we can show you that right there for the, for the duo, for both of them, it's $132.80 for both with code JOANIENX. But you've got to use the code JONI, NX and of course, you can go to joanielam.comshop, get it there as well. And Joni, that's marked down from how much. Tell people how much they save.
Susan Schaefer
Yeah.
Joni Lamb
From 161. From $161.96. Or if you just want the skincare, that's $99. If you just want the Lozengers, that's $49.18. They both will last about a month.
Susan Schaefer
That's right.
Joni Lamb
Is that right?
Susan Schaefer
That's right.
Joni Lamb
So we know how much skin care cost.
Rachel Lamp Brown
Yeah, it's a great deal, Right?
Joni Lamb
Rachel got me some skincare and I was like, what in the world? It was like it was over $200. Right.
Rachel Lamp Brown
For this little 255.
Susan Schaefer
Yeah.
Joni Lamb
This little tiny thing. I'm just like, what in the world? But anyway.
Susan Schaefer
And you can layer that. Like, if you wanted to put this on first, that would work even better.
Dr. Nathan Bryan
Or perhaps even eliminate the need.
Susan Schaefer
It's possible, too.
Joni Lamb
Yeah, that's what I'm doing right now. In fact, she'll ask me, are you using that? And I'm like, yep, I'm using it. Okay, so questions. I know y' all have questions about brain fog. So if you have a day that you're just a little bit foggy, you can take this or take an extra one if you needed to.
Dr. Nathan Bryan
Absolutely. You know, it's really effective at improving brain function, executive function, because when you develop brain fog, or what we call mild cognitive impairment, it's always lack of blood supply to that region of the brain. So if we can dilate the blood vessels, improve blood flow, oxygen delivery to that brain, the better the cells are going to function.
Joni Lamb
Can you put one of those little oxygen things on your finger and see how it improves?
Dr. Nathan Bryan
Absolutely.
Susan Schaefer
Sure.
Joni Lamb
It can be interesting.
Susan Schaefer
Yeah.
Dr. Nathan Bryan
No, you move the needle every time.
Susan Schaefer
We do demos, often at events and to show the changes in the body. And it's really exciting to be able to show. But that's one that we'll do too.
Rachel Lamp Brown
I know that you guys, I'm going to do that. Have some incredible stories of people's lives who have been changed by this product specifically. Can you share one that comes to mind?
Joni Lamb
Yeah. And we want to just a precursor to that, say we're not making any claims.
Susan Schaefer
That's right.
Joni Lamb
And it doesn't mean that what happened for one person is going to happen for everybody.
Dr. Nathan Bryan
Exactly.
Joni Lamb
So we got to be careful with that. We want to stick with the main fact that we, in our body, God created us to have nitric oxide in our blood vessels and that it decreases and this helps add it back in.
Susan Schaefer
That's right.
Dr. Nathan Bryan
Now, look, the beauty of what we do is every morning I wake up to hundreds of emails, texts and phone calls of people that we've changed their life. But to answer your question, and this is one that we published in the scientific and medical literature, we had a 15 year old kid at Texas Children's Hospital back in 2007. He'd suffered from 10 years of really resistant hypertension, meaning his blood pressure was critically elevated and there was no prescription medication that would normalize.
Joni Lamb
It's so unusual.
Dr. Nathan Bryan
Like, he had a rare genetic disorder, but he wasn't put in the pediatric intensive care unit. His blood pressure was 215 over 110. I mean, at severe risk of stroke. And so the doctors were out of medicine, they couldn't give him anything else. So we gave him the lozenge. Four hours later, his blood pressure was 130 over 80.
Joni Lamb
Oh my.
Dr. Nathan Bryan
And within five days we reversed his kidney disease. And five months later we completely reversed his heart disease.
Joni Lamb
And why, what happened? Like medically tell us.
Dr. Nathan Bryan
Well, his genetic condition turned out to be a deficiency of nitric oxide production. And so if we.
Joni Lamb
So it turned out to be the very.
Dr. Nathan Bryan
He was missing this critical molecule which dilates his blood vessels. So if we give it, he can't make it. Obviously. So if he can't make it, we got to give.
Joni Lamb
It's probably still on it, right?
Dr. Nathan Bryan
Absolutely. We published that in 2011. So what are we, 15 years later?
Joni Lamb
Wow.
Dr. Nathan Bryan
But we dilated the blood vessels. So when you have the same volume of blood going through bigger pipes, pressure comes down.
Rachel Lamp Brown
So you literally saved his life?
Dr. Nathan Bryan
We saved his life and we mobilized stem cells and it led to curing his heart disease and reversing his kidney disease. And his cognition improved. He was beating his dad in chest after that.
Rachel Lamp Brown
What type of diseases are typically associated with like low nitric oxide? Like what other diseases?
Dr. Nathan Bryan
Every age related chronic disease, whether it's dementia and Alzheimer's, high blood pressure heart disease, end stage renal disease, portal hypertension, liver disease, pulmonary disease, copd, emphysema. There's not a new.
Joni Lamb
What about rheumatoid arthritis or some of those?
Dr. Nathan Bryan
Yeah, I mean all of these. Autoimmune disease, it's associated with inflammation. Nitric oxide reduces inflammation. In fact, I have a number of patents on nitric oxide reducing the inflammatory
Joni Lamb
response with the serum. Would that help? I have psoriasis and on my hands and on my feet. Would that product help me and do I put it specifically on the area?
Dr. Nathan Bryan
You put it on the other scaling area, the cervidic area.
Joni
Yes.
Susan Schaefer
It will help with psoriasis.
Dr. Nathan Bryan
We've seen it. My uncle has like psoriatic arthritis. I mean severe psoriasis. And you use the serum and it goes away because it's down regulating the immune response. It's inhibiting the oxidative stress and the immune dysfunction that you see in any autoimmune or any. Any really chronic disease.
Joni Lamb
Is there a risk of having too much nitric in your body?
Dr. Nathan Bryan
There is. I mean just like there's dose dependence, dose dictates the poison. The only thing we worry about is an unsafe drop in blood pressure. So if you take Too many. It could dilate the blood vessels and cause an unsafe drop in blood pressure.
Joni Lamb
But you should, but you don't.
Dr. Nathan Bryan
We've never seen it.
Joni Lamb
Don't take a bunch of.
Susan Schaefer
I have low blood pressure and I typically take two a day. One in the morning, one in the late afternoon when I'm traveling or if I'm really under a lot of stress because stress depletes the body of nitric oxide. I will take maybe three to four spaced apart throughout the day just to fortify my immune function and your blood pressure and I'm fine. I've never been dizzy. I've never, you know, nothing.
Dr. Nathan Bryan
Yeah, we tested that before we ever brought these products to market, putting 24 hour ambulatory blood pressure measurements on people that have high blood pressure, normal blood pressure, even low blood pressure.
Joni Lamb
Other than aging, what else causes the drop in nitric oxide?
Dr. Nathan Bryan
It's things like poor diet, a diet high in carbohydrates or sugars that cause an increase in blood sugar. Breathing bad air, breathing bad air.
Joni Lamb
Smoking.
Dr. Nathan Bryan
Smoking, drinking fluoride, fluoride in the drinking water, fluoride in the toothpaste, mouthwash and antacids. Those are the big if you eliminate sugar and carbohydrates from your diet, get fluoride free toothpaste and eliminate fluoride from the water supply, stop using mouthwash and wean off antacids.
Joni Lamb
There are good mouthwashes, though.
Susan Schaefer
You want the one without alcohol?
Joni Lamb
Yeah, there are. And without alcohol, anything that doesn't say
Dr. Nathan Bryan
antiseptic, you do not want antiseptic.
Susan Schaefer
Yeah, because it's stripping the good out.
Dr. Nathan Bryan
But that's also fluoride, you know, most.
Joni Lamb
So the reason why that's bad to put that in your mouth is exactly why I explained that.
Dr. Nathan Bryan
Well, because we and others identified oral bacteria years ago that are responsible for the production of nitric oxide. So we're finding is if you take normal intensive patients and you give them mouthwash for seven days, it kills the good bacteria, their blood pressure goes up. And now we're finding if we can target the oral microbiome by creating an innovative toothpaste, which we did, and now a mouth rinse and restore these bacteria.
Joni Lamb
I use a toothpaste, by the way.
Dr. Nathan Bryan
Yeah, it can improve nitric oxide.
Joni Lamb
After I heard about this, I'm like, okay, give me that toothpaste. What about the, what is it?
Dr. Nathan Bryan
The micro, the microbiome.
Joni Lamb
Talk about that.
Dr. Nathan Bryan
So the human body is 10 times more bacterial than we are human cells. Right. There's bacteria that live in and on our body. And these bacteria are what we call symbiotics, symbionts. So they're providing important metabolic activity that we as humans can't do.
Joni Lamb
This is good bacteria.
Dr. Nathan Bryan
No, these are good bacteria. Yeah. So now we know that if you destroy the microbiome, it causes systemic disease. That's why you don't take an antibiotic every day, because it destroys your gut bacteria and causes you.
Joni Lamb
Or if you do have to take it for something, you want to take a probiotic to build that back up.
Dr. Nathan Bryan
That's right. After your regimen of antibiotics, you've got to restore the fluorine. So what we're trying to do is develop technology that selectively kills pathogens, infectious bacteria, while supporting and improving the diversity of the microbiome. And it's going to transform dentistry and dental medicine, it's going to transform human medicine. And the future of medicine is going to be nitric oxide.
Joni Lamb
So you're always way ahead of everybody else. Like you were with this. Right.
Rachel Lamp Brown
Tell us what you're working on.
Dr. Nathan Bryan
I mean, we've been very successful in the consumer market. We've developed the supplements, skin care line of products and oral line of products. But you know, it was never my intent as being in academia to develop dietary supplements. Right. We're in. My job was to understand the mechanism of disease to the extent that you can develop rational therapy. So we've got drug therapies now for heart disease, we're developing a drug for Alzheimer's and we're taking that same topical that I healed my dad's wound with and developing it as a topical drug for diabetic ulcers and non healing.
Joni Lamb
Excellent. That's awesome.
Dr. Nathan Bryan

Dr. Nathan Bryan
Okay, thank you, ladies.
Joni Lamb
All right, well. Well, thank you for being here Today, Susan and Dr. Brian. We're out of time, but I want you to remember, God has provided tools and supplements and natural resources to help bring healing into our lives. No matter what you've been facing or how long you've been searching for answers, don't lose hope, because God is still at work. And the miracle you're believing for is possible whether you use any of these products or not. God is still a miracle working God, and we've seen him do incredible miracles. We've seen him do incredible healing. So if you need prayer today, if you're watching, that's what that number's on the screen. We would love to pray with you and just encourage you. So avail yourself to that number. Also, if you don't know the Lord, really, that's the most important thing we could talk about today at the table. And so all you have to do is just invite Jesus in. Just say, jesus, hey, I've tried everything else. I want to try you. Will you forgive me? Come into my heart. Forgive me of my sins. 1 John 1:9 says, if we confess our sins, he's faithful and just. Forgive us of all our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. And so all you have to do is open your heart and believe and pray. Believe that he died on the cross for all of us sitting at this table and for you that's watching. And that prayer will prepare you for eternal life. Okay? Now, we're doing stuff to help us in this life, but this life is just a stepping stone to the life to come. And we want you to be prepared to meet the Lord whenever you do die. So those of you that prayed that prayer, call us and we will send you the Gospel of John. It's one of the books in the New Testament. It's a great place to start in the word of God. And it's just our way of saying thank you. I want to thank Dr. Nathan and Susan for joining us. Well born into a close knit ministry family, these three siblings have been making music together and individually for decades and the recent endeavor has brought them back in touch with their musical roots. Here to sing Ain't no Grave Please welcome my dear friends, the Bennions.

Well, their latest album, Roots, is a powerful celebration of the music they were raised with and the faith filled songs they've written over a decades long journey in ministry. It's a great retrospective of their career and today they're here to tell us the story behind it. But before we get to that, Dorothy Newton. Oh, it's going to be a great show. You like that? I love it. I love the family. And one of them is hilarious Rachel Ann Brown.
Rachel Lamp Brown
We sure do love this family and man, what an incredible rich legacy of creating music. A lot of even their children have now gone on to just do amazing things. And so I love seeing like the band get back together and just, I love that the, the music that's coming from them.
Joni Lamb
So, David, I know that you all have had a lot of loss over the last five years. How difficult has that been for you?
David
You know, when you. Of course it's difficult. Grief is a real thing and it's okay to grieve. But when mom and dad were walking through their struggles, it felt more a relief that they weren't suffering anymore and so just be able to rejoice that they're with the one that we've lived for, that they've raised us to believe and worship. So it was kind of. I didn't find myself hiding away sobbing because mom and dad were gone, because I knew they were ever present with the Lord.
Joni Lamb
We'll get to you in a minute. But you love them. But you also could see that by them graduating to heaven, there would be no more pain.
David
Right?
Bennions (Musical Group)
Right.
David
And so I was, I celebrated that. It was harder to lose my brothers, I think, than even my parents. I think that's kind of the normal progression in life. Of course I know people that have lost their children and that's just so out of order for that to happen. But when I lost Jimmy and then Gary, it was, it was just a weird dynamic to. I think probably it makes you think, okay, we're getting older.
Joni Lamb
It's true, it's true.
Bobby
It was hitting close to home. In fact, the last funeral we went to, Lisa was cutting up saying, you're gonna be next, Bobby. No, I'm not going.
Joni Lamb
So let's talk about you, Bobbi. One of the greatest losses. Oh, we loved her around here so much. But your wife was.
Bobby
For me, it's a loss. My personal loss. But to me, it's. It's a gift I got to give her back. In fact, on our 40th anniversary, we were in South Texas, and she got diagnosed with cancer. So they didn't want to do anything to her. They said that she would bleed out on the table. So they gave her enough medicine to get her home to where she wouldn't bleed out. So when we got home, we started making plans to go see Dr. Contreras. And when he saw her, he said. Niall said, she's not going to bleed out. Said, we're going to get that out. And he got 99.9% of it out.
Joni Lamb
Yeah.
Bobby
And then. And she lived for another year. Yeah.
Joni Lamb
Which was miraculous.
Bobby
Very miraculous. And then we were still. I mean, and that, to me, I cherished the last year that I had with her more than I did before, because we still got to go walk together. We still got to pray together. And every time I would see her in worship, I knew that she was seeing him closer than she'd ever seen him.
Joni Lamb
Yeah. Michelle might have been one of the sweetest persons that walk the earth. She was so precious.
Joni
And I dealt with it a little differently than I think women do. It's more emotional. And so there was a time, it was a few weeks after Michelle had passed, and Bobby came to me one night, and he said, do you know any guys in Nashville that could produce a solo project for me? And I said, sure, because I lived there. We'd all lived there several times. And so that night, I went to bed, and it felt like I had already gone to sleep, but it felt like something just punched me in the chest and woke me up. And when I woke up, all I could think about was this conversation we had. And I got up and went into his bedroom. I said, bobby, you're not supposed to do a solo record right now. I'm like, I don't know why, but I feel like to honor not just Michelle, but Mom and dad and our brothers, how we grew up. It's not even the kind of music that any of us do now, but out of love, out of respect of how they brought us up, I said, let's go back and do what we did as kids.
Joni Lamb
You got Bobby on board? Tell me.
Joni
Got Bobby on board. Well, his first thing was, oh, David. David won't do that. He's too busy. I said, oh, yeah, he will. And he was more excited about it than I was.
Rachel Lamp Brown
What did you think when she came to you and told you about this idea?
David
I was like, absolutely without hesitation. Why? Why not?
Bobby
Because they love me so much.
David
I. I just, I've been. I was so excited to do this. I immediately went into producer mode. Okay, what. What songs should we do? What? You know, how are we going to do this? To make sure I don't get it
Rachel Lamp Brown
too high for music albums.
Joni
Yeah.
David
Yes.
Joni Lamb
Psalms, hymns and spiritual songs.
David
I remember you sang. You recorded several of my songs.
Joni Lamb
Yes, I did.
Rachel Lamp Brown
Was it healing for you guys? Like going back to your roots and doing that?
Dr. Nathan Bryan
Oh, yeah.
Joni
Oh man.
Bobby
I think Lisa mentioned it best. There was such a joy in the studio. There was no pressure. We didn't have any people telling us what to sing or how to sing it or, you know, so we just, we just had fun with it. And just. In fact, even Gary, this. Before Gary passed, he came.
Joni
He was there for the first session. So that was the last thing that we did together with Gary before he passed.
Joni Lamb
Wow.
Joni
The year before he died.
Joni Lamb
So, Bobby, did you immediately say yes or did you need time to think about it? When she woke up?
Joni
Oh, no.
Bobby
I was. In fact, I'd been laying in bed thinking of the songs that I was gonna put on an album. And then she came in. Cause she never comes into my room. But she knocked on the door. She says, are you awake? I said, yeah, I'm awake. I'm sitting here singing songs to myself. She says, well, I just talked to David. I sent him a text. And so from then it just snowballed into what it is now.
Joni Lamb
What about your upbringing? Tell us about it.
David
I don't have a memory in my life when I wasn't aware of the presence of God. I remember sitting in church on my dad's lap, his little chubby leg, and weeping at the presence of God in the room. When someone get healed or just an awareness that God was there. Are listening to my mom and dad pray at home. And then as kids, mom and dad said, okay, you guys are memorizing chapters of the Bible. And it started with like Psalm 1, Psalm 100, Psalm 150, Psalm 23. Then we went to Isaiah 53, that's 12 verses. And then we had John 14, that was like 50 something verses. And it was. I discovered later in life when I started pastoring people that someone would come for just with a burden and they're sharing their story and one of the scriptures would come rising up and I would able to declare the word of God over A situation, you would feel it cut like a sword and pierce right into the problem and lift people.
Joni
So I love that they put that into us. I was like, when you least expect it, when you need it. There are times that I'll even be hearing guests sometime on the different shows that we do, and they'll give a scripture, and it just, oh, my God. That's the one mom forced us to remember.
Bobby
So when you get squeezed, whatever comes out is what's inside.
Joni Lamb
Yeah. But as children, there's something that happens that it planted so deep, it just stays with you. It really does. Well, I know they're gonna do another song you're gonna love. It's my favorite song, actually. We recorded it, but tell us the background behind.
Joni
I had a lot of trauma as a small child, and so for years growing up in ministry, I just could not put it together. How I'm seeing God heal people. Everywhere we went, when we traveled, yet I was suffering emotionally and mentally and just battled depression for years until I just. I became a drug addict for many years. And I remember even it was at the very beginning of the drug addiction, I was still hiding some of this. And I would get on the plane with David, and we would fly and go somewhere, and on the plane going to Phoenix. Phoenix. I wrote the chorus to this song, and I remember showing it to him, and he was like, oh, yeah, that's nice. And if I thought David didn't like a song, then I thought, well, it must not be very good, because he was my hero when it comes to songwriting. So I just put it in a drawer and it sat there for a couple of years, and it came back to me again. When the choir at our church was doing a project, he goes, do you have anything new? So I pulled this out, and when I showed it to him again, he goes, where did that come from? I said, dude, I showed it to you, like, a couple of years ago. So he wrote the verse to this song. Just that in itself.
David
I wrote the verse when Lisa came in. And at this point, there was no hiding the addiction. And she came in a wreck in church, and I remember seeing her. And the presence of God was beautiful in the service that night. And I just started writing. When I came into this room, my heart was heavy. I saw her and I wrote her. And then we together, we wrote the bridge.
Joni Lamb
Share some of those messages.
David
When I came into this room, my heart was heavy. I struggled just to make it through the day. Suddenly I felt a holy reverence and the pain inside began to slip Away. Right away, I knew that something happened. Reflected on expressions, on each face, taken by surprise. I felt his presence, and I knew that this must be a holy place. There is healing in this house.
Joni
He was prophesying because at that point, I had not experienced.
Joni Lamb
And you were, prophetically speaking, declaring and
Joni
declaring over her, and that's exactly what happened to me.
Joni Lamb
So had you surrendered at that point?
Joni
No.
Joni Lamb
Or you still was in the.
David
Okay, she was high when she wrote the chorus.
Joni
Yeah, I was getting high and.
Joni Lamb
Okay, so tell the moment kind of of your surrender.
Joni
Well, this surrender. I just. It was a long drug addiction that went from bad to worse from that
Joni Lamb
point, probably a couple more years.
Joni
Oh, yeah. Oh, yeah. Even more than that, probably. I remember even telling him when I first wrote the course. I said, you know, this song sounds like somebody should do it on Benny Hinn, because he's got a healing ministry. That was literally what came out of my mouth. And I kid you not. Ten years later, I'm officially homeless. No car, no home, no job. I lost everything because it got so bad. It went from bad to worse. I ended up.
Joni Lamb
And you've used up all the family mercy.
Joni
Yes. Yes. And honestly, I was done with God. I didn't want to go back to God. I didn't want help because I thought I literally took royalty checks from this song and bought crack with it. Like, how do you come back from that? Isn't that a line? Like the church we grew up in, if you cross a line, that's it, you know? And that's just. That's just what I was told. That's what I believed. And. But it was crazy how God came and broke all those church's rules.
Joni Lamb
So what happened?
Joni
So I. I had been up for seven days smoking crack. I called a friend of ours. It was David Nicole's nanny. The only girl in that church that would have a thing to do with me. I called her and I said, I've been up seven days. Can I just come there and sleep? And she was leaving town with us. She was in love with us, which was a miracle in itself. Who's gonna let a crackhead in their apartment when they're out of town? But she said, if you don't bring anyone with you, I'll leave a candle, the match. You can come here, sleep, eat whatever's here, shower, and then leave things the way you found them. I said, fine. I go into this apartment. I had a drug dealer drop me off at 4 in the morning. I go in and I'm so high I'm just so. I'm just. I could not calm down. So I turned the TV on. And wouldn't you know, it's on a Christian TV network. So I turn it on and it's on Benny Hinn. And I'm like, oh, I'm not watching this. And I grabbed the TV controller. And when I grabbed the controller, I saw Karen Wheaton, our friend. You and Karen are very good friends.
Joni Lamb
Yeah.
Joni
I saw Karen walking across Benny's platform, and she started singing.
Bennions (Musical Group)
When I came into this room, my heart was heavy.
Joni
She starts singing the song that I wrote.
Rachel Lamp Brown
Wow.
Joni
And that moment, I felt such guilt and shame. I turned the TV off. And the second I did, I started hearing voices telling me to kill myself. And I had been close to being suicidal different times in my drug addiction. But this night, I felt the shame of the heaviness of that. And I got up to do it. I didn't care anymore. God was the last thing on my mind. I didn't want help. I didn't want church. I didn't want. I was done. Been in ministry all my life. I was done. There's no hope for somebody like me. When I took that first step. Do you feel me touch your arm? That's what I felt like. Somebody physically came from behind me and grabbed me. And for a split second, I thought, I'm hallucinating. And when I turned, when I turned to look and saw there's nobody there. I suddenly remembered the moments I had in God's presence growing up. And I recognized it was the presence of God. It melted me to the floor. I laid there for hours, just crying. And we. Because it wouldn't let go. Whatever this was that had me would not let go. Release me. Yeah. It never did release me until I wanted to live again. And when I got up the next morning, the only person I could think to call, it wasn't a family member. I called Cindy Murdoch, of all people. And I knew she had, you know, she had issues and heard a lot. She's gone through stuff in her life, you know, And I'm like, if Cindy can go through some of the stuff, but not drugs. No, nothing like that. No, she. Nothing like that. But I thought, if Cindy can handle the things she's handled and the people.
Joni Lamb
Family issues.
Joni
Family issues, she can handle me. I was just going to go there for a weekend, and I ended up being there for six months. I lived with her, and I did a program there, and I stayed clean. And when I left, I traveled with Tommy Tenney for a Couple of years. And he told me, lisa, you've got to tell people what God's done for you. That's how you're made. An overcomer by the blood of the lamb and the word of your testimony. I'd never spoke before in my life. I was always a musician and a singer.
David
And now we can't shut her up.
Joni
Now you can't shut me up.
Joni Lamb
So were your parents alive during that time?
Dr. Nathan Bryan
Yes.
Joni Lamb
Yes, they were.
Joni
Yes.
Joni Lamb
So they got to see the end of it. We're out of time. And I know that you want to hear this song because I want to hear it.
