Well, have you been battling mysterious symptoms only to be told everything looks normal? Well, today's guest is here to reveal how get ready parasites, toxins and hidden chemicals may be the real cause and how you can take back your health. But before we get to that, join me around the table is April Simons. I mean, I've seen a lot like in the news lately even about parasites and parasite cleanse, but I don't think we realize even here in America that we are being affected by parasites. I don't think we do. And it's kind of gross. But it's great to know.
Rachel Ann Brown
It definitely is great.
Joni Table Talk Host
I'm glad you said that. You know, it's not just about faith. It's faith and wellness and we gotta do our part, but we have to be aware. So thank God for today's show for sure. Dorothy Newton, how are you? The thought is scary, truly, like the idea of something like that in your body. Lord help us. Rachel Lamb Brown, welcome to the table. How are you?
Rachel Ann Brown
I'm good. You know, the Bible talks about how our body is a temple of the Holy Spirit and so we have to take care of it and nurture it. And there's just so many crazy harmful things out there. So it's nice to have somebody who can break it down in an easy to understand way so we can be more informed and make better choices for our health.
Joni Table Talk Host
That's good. Rebecca Lamb Weiss, welcome. And we love doctors that bring things that God has put upon the earth to help bring healing. Like that's a good thing.
Rachel Ann Brown
It's a great thing. And this is an important topic. And you know, in social media we get caught in these things Called algorithms. And so for some awful reason, I'm in a parasite algorithm, so I have seen so many.
Joni Table Talk Host
I'm in the same one right there. So I've seen so many things. But you know, one of the things.
Rachel Ann Brown
They say about parasites is you need to do it the proper way for your body or it could actually kind of do more hurt. So I'm glad that we're talking to someone who understands this topic.
Joni Table Talk Host
That's good. Cindy Johnston, are you ready to get parasite free over there? Yes. And I'm not in the parasite algorithm, so I'm glad to say that, well, if you look at one video on it, they're gonna come running. I'm stuck. That's why I'm here today, because I can hear it straight hand from the source. Yes, that's right. Well, we're talking about a doctor and natural health expert, our dear friend. Please welcome the brilliant Dr. Brian Ardes. Welcome.
Dr. Brian Ardis
Hello, hello, hello.
Joni Table Talk Host
Welcome to the estrogen table.
Dr. Brian Ardis
Oh my goodness.
Commercial Announcer
How do you feel?
Dr. Brian Ardis
Do I have enough testosterone to balance this out?
Joni Table Talk Host
Yes, you. I don't think you do. I think you'll be okay. Well, you know, we're often told a diagnosis means a lifetime of managing symptoms with pills. Pills that treat the symptoms but don't go to the root cause. But what if there's a better way? By returning to God's original design, embracing minerals, real food, natural healing exercise, many of today's diseases could be prevented and even healed. Someone who believes that very strongly is Dr. Bryan Artis. He joins us to share the truth that you have been searching for. Some of the illnesses we're talking about long term things people like get fibromyalgia, lupus, I mean autoimmune, autoimmune disease, multiple sclerosis, I mean, arthritis, blood clots, I mean long term COVID patients like we had earlier. Someone called said has had a cough for two years. Oh my gosh, a long term ringing in the ears. So let's start talking about all of that. But actually we could do another whole show on that. But parasites. I'm in the same algorithm with Rebecca. It's coming up. We've seen way too much that parasites are a real thing. Like people don't even realize that most everyone has parasites.
Dr. Brian Ardis
Yes, it's very interesting. Thank God for COVID 19. Man, it opened up a whole lot of people's intrigue and they wanted to know, wait, is everything we've been told true or false? And then they started doing their own research and it's been amazing. For all people.
Joni Table Talk Host
It really did open up to the fact that we even have someone like, you know, Bobby Kennedy, who's using science to define if some things are good things in our food, you know, dyes and things that are not even allowed in Europe and foreign countries that we have here in America. It's crazy.
Dr. Brian Ardis
Yeah. It's been a huge unveiling of health crises, causes for illnesses. The truth is.
Joni Table Talk Host
But there are. There are a lot of doctors out there that are coming to the forefront saying, hey, let's figure this out. And I'm not. We love doctors, and God can use conventional medicine, but there really is a lane for using some of the natural things that God's put on the earth. And you've studied that extensively. So kind of define what's going on with the parasite thing and what happens to the body if you don't deal with it.
Dr. Nathan Bryan
Sure.
Dr. Brian Ardis
So a couple things. Parasites. If you talk to somebody who is educated and has a PhD in what's called parasitology, these are people that only study parasites. That's their whole curriculum. It's their whole life.
Joni Table Talk Host
Yeah.
Dr. Brian Ardis
If you listen to any presentations, any published articles by them, this is what they say. 90% of all human beings in America have parasites. 90% of all people in the world have parasites. And then they say this. 100% of all PET owners in America have parasites. Now, this is amazing that people that specialize in parasites.
Joni Table Talk Host
April's never here. She's dogs.
Dr. Brian Ardis
Okay, okay. This is awesome. Now, before we dive into this and everybody thinks we're just bashing on the medical profession, I just need you to understand everybody who's in their industry, even MD medical professionals wearing the white coats, working in hospitals who are literally drug, pharmaceutical reps. That's what they are. They also are a product of their education and their testing. So you're given tests to memorize answers, to memorize things you're given in textbooks. All of them only know what they were taught. I do not blame them for not knowing these truths. But for 20 years, imagine my shock. I'm going to say these statements and everybody at home listen. There are millions of people that are affected by autoimmune diseases. There are millions more affected with cancer. And those rates are only climbing. When I was in practice from 2004 to 2018, in multiple clinics I owned in Tennessee and Texas, 75% of every autoimmune diagnosed patient, fibromyalgia, lupus, diabetes, it didn't matter. 75% of all of them simply had a parasite infection that we had to eliminate from their body in a three month or less period. And then all their symptoms disappeared, all of them. And they never had to take the drugs ever again they were being prescribed.
Joni Table Talk Host
There was a study that you shared with me that was done on Ms. Patients that I guess when they had passed, they did autopsies. And what did they find?
Dr. Brian Ardis
Oh, this is incredible. So in 2016, anybody with MS, multiple sclerosis, they have done autopsies on the brains and the spinal cords of the people who supposedly written on their death certificate died from complications of Ms. When they took their brains, requested them at labs and dissected the brains of all the people that died from Ms. And then took cerebral spinal fluid samples. Your brain sits in this fluid called csf. Anyway, they took those cerebral spinal fluid samples and the brain samples and they looked at them by dicing up in little bitty slivers the brain and then looking under a microscope, the CSF fluid. Do you know what all Ms. Brains had in common when they sliced them into little pieces? They all had 3 to 6 inch worms in their brain, burrowing the holes in the brain that your neurologist is saying are lesions. On a CT scan they saw that gave them the diagnosis.
Joni Table Talk Host
So you have like a myelin sheath that covers and Ms. When that's done, because I have a family member that was diagnosed with that. But there's actually holes in the myelin sheath that opens up those nerve centers. Then they have these different things that happen, affects their walking or their talking or their arm movement.
Dr. Brian Ardis
This is what's crazy about Ms. So everybody with Ms. Will see like their peripheral vision disappear one day and one eye they're. Then it will come back. Then they can't control their left arm for a little while, then that comes back. Then they have pain shooting down their right leg. This is Ms. The reason why those symptoms happen is because there's a worm in your brain eating canals of brain matter, burrowing these little tunnels that your neurologist is seeing that look like holes in the brain. They actually say it looks like switches.
Rachel Ann Brown
Does the brain regenerate itself?
Dr. Brian Ardis
And the brain one year after another actually repairs the holes where it's moving. This is why you see moving lesions in these X rays one year after another, why the symptoms change.
Joni Table Talk Host
But can you, like for someone who's further along in ms, that has a lot of damage, can you still remove those parasites and see that person get better?
Dr. Brian Ardis
Absolutely.
Rachel Ann Brown
Is it hard to get rid of those parasites?
Dr. Brian Ardis
No, it's only hard if you're Visiting with a medical doctor who still believes what they read in their textbooks in med school, which is what they actually are told. Since 1910, starting with the Flexner Report written by Abraham Flexner in 1910, all curriculum in the United States and Canada were rewritten for medical schools. They took out all knowledge of parasites and instead printed that parasites do not exist in America.
Rachel Ann Brown
What?
Dr. Brian Ardis
Now, for every medical doctor out there watching this show, or anybody married to a medical doctor who's ever been to a medical doctor, and you've heard your MD say this to you, I'm really sorry, but I guarantee you, you all know somebody or yourselves have owned dogs or cats that were born in America, on American soil, and when you took them to a veterinarian, every vet visit, they are testing or looking for heartworms, which by nature. Everybody, heartworms are known to all parasitologists and veterinarians in the whole country, all around the world, that the parasites called heartworms. They're called nematodes, roundworm parasites. They have a zoonotic nature, meaning it transfers from the animal to humans or other species. So everybody that's got a dog or cat who's being given heartgard, if you haven't seen this yet, heartgard is a very common product for your pets that you'll be prescribed by your veterinary.
Joni Table Talk Host
Totally have used that.
Dr. Brian Ardis
Do you know what Heartgard is, Joanie?
Joni Table Talk Host
Yes. Ivermectin.
Commercial Announcer
Right?
Dr. Brian Ardis
It's Ivermectin.
Joni Table Talk Host
Oh, my gosh.
Rachel Ann Brown
Okay, what would the symptoms of that be in a human? Those parasites be in a human? There's tons of different symptoms.
Dr. Brian Ardis
Okay, so parasites is a very great question, Rachel. All right, the parasites, if they get in your brain, they make it through your blood brain barrier and get in your brain. You're going to have ms, neurological symptoms. You're going to have shaking, tremors, Alzheimer's, dementia. You can't remember stuff. I mean, that's what you're going to experience. Vision changes, anything neurological. If the parasites get inside of your pancreas, guess what disease you're going to develop?
Rachel Ann Brown
Diabetes.
Dr. Brian Ardis
Type 1 or type 2 diabetes. If that parasite gets inside your kidneys, what are you going to develop?
Rachel Ann Brown
Kidney stones.
Dr. Brian Ardis
Kidney stones? Possibly. What about high blood pressure? What about UTIs? Urinary tract infections. Yes. What if the parasite called a heartworm gets inside of your heart, which is where they go.
Joni Table Talk Host
Heart attack.
Dr. Brian Ardis
Oh, and just so you know, many humans in America have heartworms.
Joni Table Talk Host
Ew. What? A heart attack. A stroke.
Dr. Brian Ardis
Heart attacks, strokes, atrial fibrillation, bradycardia, Tachycardia. That's what's going to happen. If it gets inside of your spleen, what's going to happen? Every person with rosacea lupus, you have parasites in your spleen organization which your medical profession doesn't know much about. And the only thing you've been programmed to believe about the spleen is from football injuries and wrestling injuries. It's bruised. We can remove it. You don't need it. God did not design the spleen that you didn't need.
Joni Table Talk Host
So what about all the pet owners that are freaking out right now? Well, everyone, you say 90%. You can still have a pet and deal with this. Right. So what do you do? Yeah.
Dr. Brian Ardis
Amen. So what did Dr. Artis do for 10 years prior to COVID 19? In 2020, I actually went on an Indian website from India and used to buy ivermectin in little tablets. And every month for 10 years leading up to Covid, once a month, I'd give it to our animals, our dogs, I'd give it to my kids, give it to myself, give it to my wife as preventative measures against parasites, because we all get them. I do not use parasites to reverse autoimmune diseases and cancers. I do not do that. I do not use ivermectin to do that. I just used to do that once a month as a preventative against worms and parasites.
Joni Table Talk Host
Right. So what do you do to get rid of the parasites?
Dr. Brian Ardis
There's actually a myriad of plants God has put on this earth that are anti parasitic.
Joni Table Talk Host
Okay.
Dr. Brian Ardis
In fact, you've heard of hydroxychloroquine?
Joni Table Talk Host
Yes.
Dr. Brian Ardis
Do you know what hydroxychloroquine is?
Joni Table Talk Host
I mean, it does stuff with viruses.
Dr. Brian Ardis
So quinine, chloroquine, this is all stuff derived from fruits and vegetables, just so you know. So these are elements found inside of fruits and plants. Ivermectin is a pharmaceutical drug that comes by prescription only. Did you know that sweet wormwood is a plant God made on this earth that has every action of ivermectin?
Joni Table Talk Host
Yeah, I've heard of that one.
Dr. Brian Ardis
And do you know it's been used to clear parasites out of humans for millennia? So you have. Sweet wormwood is a plant God made. You also have red clover, another plant that's anti parasitic, made by God. Dandelion roots in your yard. You can pull the dandelion, cut the roots, make a tea out of it. That is one of the most potent anti parasitic products in the world that kills all four major types of parasites.
Rachel Ann Brown
My question Is you don't recommend people to take ivermectin now though for parasites?
Joni Table Talk Host
Correct?
Dr. Brian Ardis
Right. I just mentioned I don't use it. And during COVID it got very popular and very.
Rachel Ann Brown
Why don't you use it if you used to do that?
Dr. Brian Ardis
I used to do that just once a month for preventative. But if I knew there was an active parasite infection in somebody creating symptoms, my wife, my kids, myself, whatever. I actually used wormwood, red clover, and then what's called green walnut, hull extract and dandelion root in combination to clear my eyes.
Rachel Ann Brown
Was it extracts?
Dr. Brian Ardis
Yes.
Joni Table Talk Host
How long did it take to use those products to get yourself rid of the parasite?
Dr. Nathan Bryan
Yeah.
Dr. Brian Ardis
All parasites can be eradicated from the body less than three months, depending on the severity of how many is in your body. Three months to six months.
Joni Table Talk Host
How do you know they're gone? Yes.
Dr. Brian Ardis
That's so the easiest way to figure out if you have parasites. This is amazing. There's two types of worm parasites. EW, tapeworms and round worms.
Colgate Total Commercial Voice
Yeah.
Dr. Brian Ardis
Okay. These are real worms living in your body and a whole bunch of you have them. A whole bunch of people in America have them. Did you know that every worm living in your body that reaches adulthood is laying 100,000 to 250,000 eggs a day in your body? No, I didn't.
Rachel Ann Brown
Oh my God.
Dr. Brian Ardis
And did you know those egg sacs of those parasites are commonly misdiagnosed as thyroid goiters, liver masses and tumors? Lung cancer, I'm not joking. Breast cancer. Yeah. All over the place. So you actually just need to take the plants that will kill off the worms and get them out of your body, should you do that? So how do you know?
Joni Table Talk Host
Do once a year, should you do that once a year to make sure you're clear or should you do the test?
Dr. Brian Ardis
Yes. So anybody out there living without symptoms or disease free, you don't have a lot of worries. You should probably do at least a parasite stool sample test.
Joni Table Talk Host
Yeah.
Dr. Brian Ardis
Parasites secrete eggs and poop in your body and it comes out in your stools. And that can be picked up in labs through a stool sample test. I have them at my website and others. It'll analyze for those. It'll send you a report within one week to your email of every parasite, worm, or microscopic parasite called protozoa, or a fluke that are swimming around in your body.
Joni Table Talk Host
Yeah. Well, and I had a friend that I was getting you to help me with that was diagnosed with Ms. And that's the first thing that you had them do was do this feces analysis, if you will. And so I sent you the results when they came back. And what did you see?
Dr. Brian Ardis
Yes, right on that first week report from the stool sample test I recommended to her to take and submit and send in. The lab analyzed it, send it back in her email, sends it to me. You send it to me. And it shows that there are larvae of nematodes. Do you know what nematodes are? The same worms they call heartworms. Now, the larvae are the babies. So in her stool they see babies and eggs of the parasites called worms somewhere in her body.
Joni Table Talk Host
Oh, my goodness.
Dr. Brian Ardis
These worms lay 100,000 to 200,000 eggs a day in your body. And you can pick up on these secreted eggs or dying worms in your stool sample test. And if there's eggs or larvae, little babies of parasites in your stools, guess what that means is somewhere else in.
Joni Table Talk Host
Your body, there's a mama somewhere.
Dr. Brian Ardis
There's a mama somewhere laying babies. So this is why we think it's so important people who are chronically ill, you should do a parasite stool sample analysis test. I would recommend every six months. Those who aren't sick once a year should be fine.
Rachel Ann Brown
Is there anything else besides the supplements that would kill them? Like, I don't know, getting in a sauna that's super hot or is that a weird question?
Dr. Brian Ardis
No, I do believe there's actually temperatures that could do it. I actually think if you hit 131 degrees Fahrenheit, which is what infrared saunas will reach, they go to 120, 140, that will actually denature proteins, which is what venom, spy proteins, parasites are all made from. So it actually is published. It'll denature those. So I do believe that.
Joni Table Talk Host
What other things could help like get rid of them? Also warm wood and stuff.
Dr. Brian Ardis
This may shock people, but I'm going to say it. It's food grade hydrogen peroxide. And every cell in the human body makes hydrogen peroxide, by God. It requires copper, it requires zinc to make hydrogen peroxide inside the body. And those kill parasites, fungi, bacteria, viruses.
Rachel Ann Brown
Where can people get those things that you're mentioning, the wormwood, the hydrogen peroxide? Is there a place where people can get that?
Dr. Brian Ardis
Yeah, you can get them online. There's lots of people that sell them. And then there are some of these products and resources@thedoctortistsshow.com, my website. If you go to the resources tab of the Dr. Artist Show, I actually have all kinds of medical conditions in there and I show you what the medical profession calls the diagnosis, what your prognosis and outlook for life looks like. Per the medical profession, what are the drugs they're going to recommend and then what are the side effects of those drugs? And then I take all audiences through, no matter what the condition, what are the proven in medical science, research studies. Are the natural cures in nature that cure those problems?
Rachel Ann Brown
Yeah.
Joni Table Talk Host
When the parasites die inside your body, does that anything happen as far as it secretes toxins or other things or how do they get out? Yeah, how do they get out?
Rachel Ann Brown
That's the question. Or does it affect you the die off negatively and how do you combat that?
Dr. Brian Ardis
Yeah, so anytime you're trying to detox heavy metal, poisons, drugs, parasites out of the body, the body has to eliminate them and that does not feel comfortable. Okay, have you ever ingested something that was rancid, that you didn't know was rancid or had poisoning in it and experienced food poisoning?
Joni Table Talk Host
Terrible.
Dr. Brian Ardis
Okay, what are the symptoms?
Joni Table Talk Host
Throwing up, diarrhea, all that?
Dr. Brian Ardis
Yeah, you'll get sweats, you'll get chills, you'll get diarrhea, vomiting. I mean this is how you feel, right? You are eliminating something that's toxic to you. Well, when you kill parasites, they also have toxins, poop bacteria inside their bodies. And if you take too much, too fast of the natural products or drugs to kill them off, all those poisons, toxins and bodies of the worms have to be digested in your stools to be pooped out. And when they go in there, some people sense the same symptoms you would have with food poisoning. It's because there's something toxic in your gut. And God designed your gut to do what? When it senses there's something that doesn't belong here, it will make you vomit this way or poop it out this way. Well, you know, that's called in parasite terms. They call this a Herxheimer reaction. Don't worry about it. These are just reactions you have to the die off. You just need to reduce the dose of what you're taking. And it's a slower die off process.
Rachel Ann Brown
For many it's better. I wanted to ask you about it because one of the things I've seen online is that if you don't have someone really guiding you through the process, you could go too fast and too hard. And it could be because a lot of times parasites are attracted to heavy metals in the body. So if you're killing off the parasites and you're not properly detoxing, there could be a Negative effect, right?
Dr. Brian Ardis
Oh. Do you know what the parasite's favorite food is in the human body?
Rachel Ann Brown
Sugar.
Joni Table Talk Host
Sugar.
Dr. Brian Ardis
Sugar's number one. Do you know what number two is? Eating red blood cells. Now what do red blood cells carry throughout your body? Iron. For oxygen. When you're talking about losing metals, they love that stuff. They're eating your red blood cells. And how many people in America are being diagnosed with anemia? You have low iron in your blood. Actually you have parasites eating the iron in the red blood cells in your body.
Rachel Ann Brown
That was my question. What are the most common ways that people pick up parasites besides packs.
Dr. Brian Ardis
Oh, this is exciting. Great question, Rachel. Okay, so the medical profession is all taught. All your medical doctors, except for the ones that are waking up in the last few years, are all told parasites don't exist in America and are not responsible for any of your patients symptoms. Okay? That's what they tell you. Now if you go to the CDC's website right now, go to CDC.gov, centers for Disease Control and in their search engine type parasite. The word parasite, just type it and hit enter. The first link that comes up is an about parasites page. You need to open it because you're going to read something there that your medical doctors don't even know. This is what I find odd. The medical schools are telling you they don't exist. The CDC, who's working on our behalf for our health says 90 million Americans right now, that's a third of us have parasites causing chronic illness. And they list on the about page where we get them. You know what the number one thing is? They show a dog and cat. Your pets will give you parasites. The second one is food that you eat. Now do you want to know why pork isn't given to you rare in a restaurant? Because parasites are most often found in pig meat. Pork. Okay. So you have to cook it all the way through. That's required in the kitchen. Okay. You just have to cannot do it. Fish often has parasites in it. In fact, you go to Whole Foods. I've had patients pick up whole food like fish, give it to me and get home and unwrap it. And there's little worms moving around in the fish.
Joni Table Talk Host
Yeah, I've seen that.
Dr. Brian Ardis
They've even taken it back to Whole Foods. You know what the butcher said? Well, that's how you know it's actually farm fresh. Not farm fresh. It's wild caught. Yeah, that's good for you. Wait, no, you can take that back. That's good.
Joni Table Talk Host
But if you cook it, you kill. You can kill it.
Dr. Brian Ardis
Yep. And then the third. Yes.
Joni Table Talk Host
And then thirdly, everybody's gonna be doing well done.
Dr. Brian Ardis
Thirdly. Thirdly. Yeah. Thirdly, the CDC lists that our water supply that we drink is the most common way Americans get parasites. And you know what? We pay our city municipalities to clean our water.
Rachel Ann Brown
What about if we don't drink city water, but we take a bath in it?
Dr. Brian Ardis
You can get it that way, too. Parasites literally go right through the skin. They're called protozoan flukes. They are microscopic, one cell organ.
Joni Table Talk Host
You recommend it? Like a filter for your whole water system.
Dr. Brian Ardis
I have an entire home water filtering system.
Joni Table Talk Host
I do, too. I mean, so, I mean, I think that's important. Right? All right, Dorothy and April, jump in here. Yes, I have a question. So parasites are found in the stool. Okay, I got that. But they can be found anywhere in your body. So can a full body scan detect those parasites, get rid of them all at once, and then start healthier living?
Rachel Ann Brown
She's looking for a fast solution. She wants a scan to just.
Dr. Brian Ardis
Yeah. So the stool sample test is by far the best way, an accurate way to determine a stool sample test.
Joni Table Talk Host
The best way to do places, though.
Rachel Ann Brown
Right.
Dr. Brian Ardis
And you're gonna see in your stool sample. Remember, your body's constantly eliminating things that are dying off in your body every day, your own cells included, and parasites, and it's cleaning those all out. And they can pick up all that stuff in your stools. It's very, very easy.
Joni Table Talk Host
She's afraid that the stool sample is not showing, that it could be in other parts of her body. You're saying that that's how they know it's in other parts of your body.
Dr. Brian Ardis
That's how they know. So you're going to see in the stool sample test, for example, most of the time you'll see there's eggs or babies in your stool. That tells you there's adults somewhere upstream in a different organ. Now, just so you know, too, for all of you out there, this is incredible. Actually, you've seen eczema, psoriasis, hives, psoriatic plaques. Yes, I did. Did you know those are parasites? Psoriatic plaques in your skin alone? On the surface of your skin.
Joni Table Talk Host
Oh, no.
Rachel Ann Brown
How do you.
Joni Table Talk Host
Yeah, how do you get rid of that?
Dr. Brian Ardis
There's a product I developed two years ago. It's called biodefense. And it has four primary ingredients in it. Piperine, black cumin, seed oil, spearmint and peppermint. All of which are plants God made. And those four plants in combination kill every Known parasite. So I tell people to take it orally and put it topically for people with skin conditions. And you should see the testimonials for the last two years of what's happening.
Rachel Ann Brown
Why doesn't everybody just take that and take the test and just know about everything?
Dr. Brian Ardis
That is a great question, Rachel. In fact, wouldn't you like to know they're all gone? Or do you just want to keep taking anti parasitic stuff for the rest of your life? I mean, I don't know why you'd want to do that. Why don't you just understand that all of life we are going to be exposed to parasites? And why don't you just every six months or once a year, just see if you have some.
Joni Table Talk Host
Okay. They were telling me to wrap it up because we have gone way over on this show. But we can take all of this and use on our YouTube because we.
Rachel Ann Brown
Can do an unreleased version.
Joni Table Talk Host
Yeah, we'll have an unreleased version. But anyway, we are out of time. Why don't you remember that whether you're just starting your health journey or you've been on it for years, you're not alone. And that God has provided both natural resources for healing and voices like Dr. Artis to guide you. Not to mention prayer and, you know, scripture and the word of God and all of these things together, whether it's diet, whether it's some conventional medicine, whether it's holistic medicine, exercise, you know, the right kind of water. I mean, there's all these things that kind of work together. And we are living in a fallen world. So it's just important that we have this information so we share it, because we want you to have an arsenal full of information. I have to say this, Dr. Ardis, I love your brain. I'm glad you keep it healthy. But just quickly, in 30 seconds, for all the doctors and nurses that are watching, they're saying you're a complete quack. What would you say right now?
Dr. Brian Ardis
I, Dr. Brian Artist, have more faith in what God designed than what man is designing in a lab 24 7. And that's the hard pill for most people to swallow. You have to just have faith first that this thing knows how to heal itself and take care of itself the way God designed it on day six. Or do you actually believe God forgot an immune system, didn't program the body to take care of itself and heal itself? Therefore God gave us pharmaceuticals.
Joni Table Talk Host
Yeah, yeah.
Dr. Brian Ardis
The hard part is remembering God created something perfect and it has the ability to heal, put in it what God.
Joni Table Talk Host
Created and You've seen thousands of people receive healing through some of the things we're talking about.
Dr. Brian Ardis
Amen.
Joni Table Talk Host
Okay.
Dr. Brian Ardis
All right.
Joni Table Talk Host
Well, if you're watching today and you need prayer, maybe you're dealing with some of the things we're talking about. We want to pray with you. We have prayer partners that are standing by to do so. It's not just something you're doing. It's like a mandate that God has given you and so many of the other doctors that I've interviewed that have come out and said, hey, we're going to speak the truth concerning this. So I pray it's been a blessing to you. I want to thank you for watching and today, if you're watching and you don't know Jesus, the most important decision you could make. I know we've talked about all this health stuff, but is just inviting him into your heart right now and just saying, jesus, forgive me, come into my heart today and he will change your life. That's the first step. Then you can do all this other stuff. And I tell you what, God's got a great plan for your life. We'll see you next time. God bless you. Bye bye for today.

Well, today's guest is here to share from his book the Secret of Nitric Bringing the Science to Life. But before we get to that, joining me around the table is April Simons. You want the secret? I want the secret to everything.
Rachel Ann Brown
So yes, I'm ready to learn.
Joni Table Talk Host
All right. And a Kendall, you're always up for it.

I want to live longer.
Joni Table Talk Host
Live, live better. So we're gonna learn about that today. Okay. Rachel Ann Brown. We're always ready to hear new stuff.
Rachel Ann Brown
Ready to hear new stuff, to be better, grow stronger, live longer.
Joni Table Talk Host
All the things you know. Rebecca, we talk a lot about health and nutrition even on the show because we want to help people. We want to give information that can get to the root of something maybe that someone's going through versus the symptoms.
Rachel Ann Brown
Absolutely. And I think it's so important that, you know, we take care of our spirit, soul and body. As Paul says, you know, be preserv. So we need to take care of our bodies, too. And God put all these things into creation that help heal our bodies. And so when we have people that can unlock that and share that, I think that's great.
Joni Table Talk Host
It is. Cindy Murdoch, I know you and I are always like, we want to learn more about whatever's going on together. And, you know, I'm at a place in my life where we see a lot of people that they're living on medications to just make it through life. And I don't want to live like that, and I don't want the world living like that. So if we can give them knowledge and understanding. Yeah, sometimes.
Dr. Brian Ardis
Sometimes.
Joni Table Talk Host
When I'll go for something, a checkup or to get hormone replacement therapy, which is bioidentical. Whatever you have to. Well, are you on this? This. And I'm like, no, no, no, no, no. But, I mean, you're right. You and I, we were talking about, in fact, when we get out of the car a little slower than we used to, I want to jump out. Yeah, we want to be able to jump out. So maybe today this will help us for sure. But Dr. Nathan Bryan, thank you. Thank you for being here today.
Dr. Nathan Bryan
Thank you, ladies. Great pleasure to be with you.
Joni Table Talk Host
Yeah. We're going to learn about nitric oxide. Well, he's faced challenges, critics, personal loss, but through it all, he stayed focused on helping people heal from the inside out. Dr. Nathan Bryant is an international leader in molecular medicine. He's here to explain why nitric oxide might be the missing piece in your health and how you can get it back. Before we get into the nitric oxide, which I. I want to spend most of our time talking about, because I want you to be informed and learn something that can really help you. You know, it hasn't been easy, this journey that you've been on. You've had some losses along the way. I know you talk about in the book you grew up in a home where there was a divorce. That was hard. That was hard on you. But of course, went on to go to school and. And, you know, have accomplishments, get married, have kids. But there was. There was one, One, One great loss that affected you. And tell us about how did you make it through and just the pressing into God through the process.
Dr. Nathan Bryan
Yeah. You know, Grant was 20. Our oldest home from college.
Joni Table Talk Host
I think we have a picture of him. So handsome.
Dr. Nathan Bryan
Yeah. He was out with his friends and unfortunately got in the passenger seat of his best friend who was driving and mistook a turn and hit a tree and killed him instantly. So that's the call that no parent ever wants to receive, but it shakes you to the core. And it's a wound that I don't think ever heals. But you have to have faith. Sometimes we can't explain why things happen, but we have to trust and have faith in God that He's all knowing. Sometimes we don't know, but we trust. I think, you know, I don't know how you get through that without a strong faith.
Joni Table Talk Host
Right. I think that even what you're doing in the science and the products you've helped develop, et cetera, et cetera, to help people, the God factor and all of that, then all the doctors I've interviewed, the ones that have a similar outlook as you will on medicine, like you do, and that is trying to get to the root of solving an issue with the sickness and disease versus the symptom. But they all tell me that there's a God card in there where they feel a leading and a guiding from a force that's much greater than themselves. Do you feel that as well?
Dr. Nathan Bryan
No, Absolutely. Look, I have a degree in biochemistry from University of Texas. I've got a PhD in molecular and cellular physiology from LSU School of Medicine. But I mean, to understand how the human body makes. I think you have to have a relationship with the creator. I mean, you have to have a conversation with the creator. I mean, you can't.
Joni Table Talk Host
That's a good point.
Dr. Nathan Bryan
Biochemistry in the human body is so complex, and without that relationship, how can you get answers? So I've relied on that, you know, from, you know, I've always been curious. You know, growing up in a small town, you know, I lived by myself since I was a sophomore in high school. And I was, you know, had my own apartment, was the only kid in high school who could sign his own report card. So I developed independence. But I was always curious. But, no, I think looking back, and the longer I live, the more I realize that God's played a critical role in. Because I could never script this. Where I am now, where I come from, could never be scripted. But I recognize, looking back, hindsight's 20 20, that there's certain things that happen to you in life that change you and that kind of make you pivot and go a different direction. And so the one thing that's absolutely clear to me is God had a plan for me from day one.
Joni Table Talk Host
And, you know, you think about some of the hardships, some of you have gone through a difficult season, or maybe you've lost a loved one. And, you know, I just want you to know that you're not alone. And this is the time you press in to the Creator, the one that loves you so very much, wants to have a personal relationship with you. And that's what you did. Of course, you married.
Dr. Nathan Bryan
You have two sons, Lincoln and Connolly.
Joni Table Talk Host
Yeah, and they're doing good. They're doing well.
Dr. Nathan Bryan
Good boys.
Joni Table Talk Host
Awesome. Okay, so you got involved with a Nobel Prize winner, and it really piqued your curiosity about nitric oxide. Take us a little bit on that journey and how that door opens kind of supernaturally.
Dr. Nathan Bryan
Well, you know, I probably had unrealistic expectations out of college, I thought, you know, I got a Bachelor of science degree in biochemistry from a great University of Texas at Austin. And when I tried to look for a job, and there's not a lot of good jobs with a bachelor's degree in Belgium, I realized I had two choices. I was going to be forced to do something that I really didn't want to do, or I could further my education and prepare myself for a life of what I wanted to do. So I enrolled at LSU School of Medicine in Shreveport, Louisiana. Molecular and Cellular Physiology Program. And a Nobel Prize had just been awarded for the discovery of nitric oxide. So, as most of you know, a Nobel Prize is really for the discovery of discoveries that change mankind. And, you know, this whole nitric oxide field was becoming more prominent in the medical and scientific community. And I had a chance to meet Lou Ignaro, who was one of the three scientists that won the Nobel Prize. And he came and spoke before the student body. And I had a conversation with him after that and had dinner with him. And he just says, nathan, he goes, if scientific community can figure out how to replace missing nitric oxide in the body, develop product or drug therapy for nitric oxide, it will change the world and it will change the landscape of medicine. That's a pretty profound statement. So I trained. I did my PhD with it, really, in analytical biochemistry and trying to figure out, how do we detect this gas that's naturally produced in the body in biological systems?
Joni Table Talk Host
So God has put that in our body.
Dr. Nathan Bryan
Absolutely. We naturally make it.
Joni Table Talk Host
We naturally produced. And what exactly does nitric oxide do for us?
Dr. Nathan Bryan
Well, when it's produced in the body, it does many things, but it was first discovered to be a vasodilator. Right. So when nitric oxide is produced in the lining of the blood vessel, it opens up blood vessels. Now we're getting more oxygen, more nutrient delivery downstream. No, when we, you know, if we want to recall memory. Right, we've got to increase blood flow to the prefrontal cortex, and that's done through the production of nitric oxide. If we want to exercise, we've got to dilate the blood vessels of the heart to increase to meet the increased metabolic demands on the heart. And that's all done through nitric oxide. So that's what it was discovered for, or the Nobel Prize for nitric oxide as a signaling molecule in the cardiovascular system. But today we know that it mobilizes stem cells when it's produced. It mobilizes stem cells so we can repair and replace tissues. It activates our mitochondria in the cells. So now we become more energy efficient at the cellular level.
Joni Table Talk Host
Oh, wow.
Dr. Nathan Bryan
It prevents our telomeres from getting shorter. So with each cell replication, our telomeres get shorter and shorter. Telomeres, shorter life. So everything we know about health, longevity, human optimization is absolutely dependent upon your body's ability to produce nitric oxide.
Joni Table Talk Host
Okay, let's talk about the things that deter nitric oxide. Because most people are nitric oxide deficient.
Dr. Nathan Bryan
That's right.
Joni Table Talk Host
And so you said that, number one is white sugar.
Dr. Nathan Bryan
Yeah. Well, first, let' take a step back because in order to answer these questions that we have clear answers to.
Joni Table Talk Host
Man, that's literally like everything.
Dr. Brian Ardis
Angel just fainted.
Dr. Nathan Bryan
Now you got to continue watching. Right.
Joni Table Talk Host
Well, she has this incredibly fast metabolism. Metabolism. And she's an osteen, and they don't gain weight. And so she can eat her dessert and coffee and be fine. But it's not good for nitric oxide.
Dr. Nathan Bryan
No, it's not. So what we focused on early on this goes back 25 years ago. Number one, we have to understand how the human body makes nitric oxide. Right. And until you understand that, you can't really understand what leads to a loss of nitric oxide production. If you don't understand what the mechanisms.
Joni Table Talk Host
Are to make, can you tell us then?
Dr. Nathan Bryan
So, number one, it's eating too much sugar and simple carbohydrate. Anything that leads to an increase in blood sugar, it's going to. Sugar and glucose is sticky. Right.
Rachel Ann Brown
And so it's not just sugar, but it's carbs that turn into sugar.
Dr. Nathan Bryan
That's right. High glycemic index foods. Anything that you need, anything that spikes your insulin, anything that spikes your glucose.
Joni Table Talk Host
So that's like white flour.
Dr. Nathan Bryan
White flour.
Colgate Total Commercial Voice
That's actually.
Rachel Ann Brown
It's a lot of stuff.
Joni Table Talk Host
It's like pasta. I mean, those are things that.
Dr. Nathan Bryan
No, I tell people because these wearables now and these continuous glucose monitors are readily available. So get a sense of how your.
Joni Table Talk Host
Body responds, because everybody's different.
Dr. Nathan Bryan
Everybody's different.
Joni Table Talk Host
And you said like, this is even tied to, like, diabetes and type 2 diabetes. Yeah, yeah.
Dr. Nathan Bryan
So in 2011, we published a paper showing that nitric oxide is essential and foundational for insulin signaling and glucose uptake. So if the cell. If your body can't make nitric oxide, then you don't get glucose uptake into the cell. And we call that insulin resistance. So insulin resistance and metabolic disease is a symptom of nitric oxide deficiency. So we've got to get away from calling it a disease. It's a symptom that we certainly understand the root cause of those symptoms. And then once you get diabetes, it further suppresses nitric oxide, and that's why it's such a slippery slope.
Joni Table Talk Host
Is it easy to understand? I know you said we got to know how the body makes nitric oxide. Is that complex or is that like a real simple answer there?
Dr. Nathan Bryan
Well, it's pretty compl. Because it goes back to. There's enzymes and catalysts that take an amino acid and convert it through what we call a five electron multi step oxidation reaction. So there's gotta be a flow of electrons to make nitric oxide.
Joni Table Talk Host
Let's see if you remember all that, Cindy.
Dr. Brian Ardis
Then you just.
Dr. Nathan Bryan
There will be a test.
Joni Table Talk Host
And you might want to, like, think in layman when he said he was like, I'm intrigued. I was thinking layman terms actually.
Dr. Nathan Bryan
Well, to answer. It's very complex and complicated, but the solution is very simple. Right. So when we go back to let's talk about diabetes and sugar, because it's a huge problem.
Rachel Ann Brown
Yeah.
Dr. Nathan Bryan
And so we've all done that. If we spill a soda or sweet tea on the table, we come back the next day, it's sticky.
Joni Table Talk Host
Right?
Dr. Nathan Bryan
Right. So that's glue. It's glucose. Glucose is glue. And so it sticks to proteins, it sticks to enzymes. And when you lock an enzyme in a conformational state, it can't do its job, so it just locks it down. So it's the elevation in blood sugar that's the major problem. Sugar binds to hemoglobin, and we call that hemoglobin A1C. It's a marker of long term glucose.
Rachel Ann Brown
Does it mean that nitric oxide could cure people with diabetes?
Dr. Nathan Bryan
I'm not to the point that I can say it can cure it. It can help facilitate the normal insulin signaling in the body. Because the body's normal response is if you eat high sugar, you get a spike in blood sugar, your pancreas secretes insulin. Insulin binds to the insulin receptor on liver cells, fat cells, and muscle cells primarily. And that starts an intracellular signaling. The cell has to make nitric oxide. Then that tells this protein to go to the membrane and bring glucose into the cell, clear it from the circulation. But if we can't make nitric oxide, then Glut4 never gets the signal. So we're resistant to insulin, insulin resistance.
Rachel Ann Brown
And a lot of people have insulin resistance.
Dr. Nathan Bryan
Nine out of 10Americans are metabolically unfit.
Joni Table Talk Host
Well, because. Go back to what we're eating. Okay.
Rachel Ann Brown
Even if they don't have diabetes.
Joni Table Talk Host
Oh, true.
Dr. Nathan Bryan
So we eat bad food and we don't exercise anymore. So if you're not burning those calories.
Joni Table Talk Host
Does it include, like, the coconut sugar and the healthier sugar?
Rachel Ann Brown
The monitors are good.
Dr. Nathan Bryan
That's where you gotta test. Because everybody's different.
Joni Table Talk Host
Because you, like, you use honey.
Dr. Nathan Bryan
I use honey in my coffee in.
Joni Table Talk Host
The morning because God, you know, created that.
Dr. Nathan Bryan
Well, look, I used to have debilitating seasonal allergies growing up in Central Texas. I mean, watery eyes, sneezing, almost debilitating. And then, you know, we have bees on our property, so we make local honey, and I put it in. I don't have allergies anymore. So there's. Nature provides the solution.
Joni Table Talk Host
A lot of people buy your local honey. Why is there so much acid reflux? Is it, again, because of the food we're eating?
Dr. Nathan Bryan
Acid reflux is a symptom of insufficient stomach acid production.
Rachel Ann Brown
Yeah.
Dr. Nathan Bryan
So you need stomach acid to break down proteins into amino acids. You need stomach acid to absorb selenium, chromium, B vitamins, calcium, iron, iodine. And so if your body can't break down these. Because whether you eat plant protein or animal protein, it's still foreign protein.
Rachel Ann Brown
Yeah.
Dr. Nathan Bryan
So our body's not designed to assimilate foreign proteins into human proteins, although we do need protein.
Joni Table Talk Host
You're very strong.
Dr. Nathan Bryan
Yeah. Proteins are made up of amino acids. In the stomach, the protein is broken down into the constituent amino acids. Then our cells take those amino acids and make human proteins out of them. Not animal proteins or plant proteins. But without stomach acid, you can't break down protein. So we get peptide fragments absorbed across the gut. Our body makes an antibody against it, and we develop foodborne antibodies.
Joni Table Talk Host
How do we balance that stomach acid? How do we make it?
Dr. Nathan Bryan
Well, to understand the chemical reaction, you've got to have iodine, you got to have zinc, you got to have sodium bicarbonate, got to have sodium chloride, and you got to have B vitamins.
Rachel Ann Brown
What are the early warning signs of a nitric oxide deficiency in somebody?
Dr. Nathan Bryan
Well, there's a hierarchy of symptoms that develop, and so there's not any blood lapse. Like we could measure cholesterol or vitamin D or triglycerides, because it's a gas and once it's produced, it's gone. So we rely on symptoms. And what we call the canary in the coal mine is erectile dysfunction. And this isn't just in men, it's in women, too. So the primary role of nitric oxide is to dilate the blood vessels. So for erectile function, we have to dilate the blood vessels of the sex organs to get engorgement, which leads to an erection. So if you can't make nitric oxide to dilate the blood vessels, then you develop erectile dysfunction. So that's first and foremost the canary in the coal mine. If you have ED, 50% of the men over the age of 40 self report ED. I think the numbers are much higher because most men aren't going to report ed.
Dr. Brian Ardis
Yeah.
Dr. Nathan Bryan
So it's a huge problem. And if you don't correct it, if you have endothelial dysfunction in the sex organs, you have endothelial dysfunction in the coronary arteries, the cerebral artery, it's a systemic disease. Then your blood pressure goes.
Joni Table Talk Host
What are the other symptoms? Name some of the other symptoms.
Dr. Nathan Bryan
Your blood pressure goes up because think about it, we have a finite amount of blood in our body, and if we make nitric oxide, we have bigger pipes, so pressure is normal. If we can't make nitric oxide, we've got smaller pipes. And simple physics tells us that. Same volume and smaller pipes, pressure goes up. And then you start to develop metabolic disease again because it's part of insulin signaling. Then you develop exercise intolerance, get winded going up a flight of steps. And then fifthly, you start to develop mild cognitive impairment. You can't recall memory, you develop dementia and eventually Alzheimer's.
Rachel Ann Brown
How do you take nitric oxide?
Dr. Nathan Bryan
Well, that's been the challenge for the past 40 years. How do you administer a gas?
Rachel Ann Brown
Right, yeah, that's a good point.
Dr. Nathan Bryan
My claim to fame is I've made a solid dose form of nitric oxide gas. So we make a delivery system that actually produces this actual gas.
Rachel Ann Brown
So what is it, like an inhaler? You like.
Dr. Nathan Bryan
It's what we call an orally disintegrating tablet or an odt. So you put it in your mouth and it slowly dissolves like a lozenge.
Rachel Ann Brown
How'd you get the idea.
Dr. Nathan Bryan
You know, the question is, how do you deliver this? In 2007, we had a very important discovery we published in the National Academy of Science that nitric oxide's a hormone.
Joni Table Talk Host
Oh, wow.
Dr. Nathan Bryan
It made me think, well, let's do hormone replacement therapy. Right? So if you're low in estrogen, what do we do? We give you estrogen. So if you're low in nitric oxide, I got to give you nitric oxide gas. I can't give you pregnenolone or DHEA and hope your body makes it. That's why most of these nitric oxide products on the market don't work, because your body's unable to utilize those ingredients to make nitric oxide. So my thought was, how do we deliver this gas? And in that experiment, we generated in the heart and it protected the liver. So then the epiphany, my eureka moment was all I have to do is generate nitric oxide in any biological compartment. And I thought, well, let's do the mouth.
Rachel Ann Brown
Are you still going to try to push forward your trial or are you just.
Dr. Nathan Bryan
No, we've. So look, there'll be another outbreak. Respiratory virus. And nitric oxide isn't just unique therapy to Covid, it's a broad therapy for any respiratory virus.
Joni Table Talk Host
Yeah.
Dr. Nathan Bryan
So we tabled the drug we called nitravir as an antiviral. We'll move forward, but we've got drug candidates. We're moving Into a phase 3 clinical trial for heart disease. We've got a drug we're building out for Alzheimer's.
Joni Table Talk Host
Is this again, nitric oxide is connected to all of these?
Dr. Nathan Bryan
Absolutely. Do we make a topical drug for diabetic ulcers?
Joni Table Talk Host
What about rogue cells? Like rogue cells in the body? Does nitric oxide help with that?
Dr. Nathan Bryan
So these zombie cells are what's called senescent cells? Yes. So it mitigates what's called autophagy. So we have to clean up the cellular debris, and then nitric oxide is the signal that tells your own stem cells to mobilize. Right. And so if you can't make nitric oxide, the stem cells in our body don't get the signal to go and replace those zombie cells or senescent cells.
Joni Table Talk Host
Does your book share a lot of this?
Dr. Nathan Bryan
It does. So the book, kind of the vision of the book was to, number one, tell the story of nitric oxide. What is this molecule? What does it do? How do we make it? But then interdispersed in that story is my own personal story of discovery. You know, kind of as you Alluded to my upbringing, kind of what my guiding principles are. What's my motivation?
Joni Table Talk Host
Yeah. Even an injury that your mom had, right?
Dr. Nathan Bryan
Yeah. No, look, it's served a very important role in all of our. You know, my parents. You know, my son who had a. My other son had an ATV accident, completely degloved his foot, and we, you know, rescued and saved his foot. Topical nitric oxide.
Rachel Ann Brown
Why is that so cool? If nitric oxide improves blood flow and oxygen, could people take it that are like, athletes that want, like, a performance?
Dr. Nathan Bryan
Absolutely.
Rachel Ann Brown
Most increased performance.
Dr. Nathan Bryan
Yeah. Most professional teams are using a version of my original nitric oxide because we know it improves performance, it improves blood flow, it improves the efficiency of mitochondrial ATP production, which.
Rachel Ann Brown
That's huge.
Dr. Nathan Bryan
It improves recovery. So these athletes are, you know, they know what they're trying to help. People with autoimmune diseases, you know, perhaps it can certainly mitigate the inflammatory component of autoimmunity, but until you realize what the source of the toxins are and exposure, then.
Rachel Ann Brown
Is it possible to overdose on nitric oxide if you take too much, it's.
Dr. Nathan Bryan
Possible to overdose on water. So. Yes.
Joni Table Talk Host
Yeah. Can you naturally restore it?
Dr. Nathan Bryan
Yes. That's what we. That's been my focus is. So when we started developing product technology, the thought was, okay, if your body can't make it, then we got to give it for you. We got to make it for you.
Joni Table Talk Host
But is there something that we can do that we can other than living? No sugar.
Dr. Nathan Bryan
So stop doing the things that disrupt it and then start doing the things that promote you.
Joni Table Talk Host
You mentioned sugar.
Commercial Announcer
What are the other things that disrupt it besides sugar?
Joni Table Talk Host
Well, one of the things is antibiotics.
Dr. Nathan Bryan
Antibiotics, sure. But more specifically, mouthwashes, antiseptic mouthwash, and toothpaste.
Joni Table Talk Host
With fluoride?
Dr. Nathan Bryan
Well, it's not just toothpaste. It's fluoride. And, you know, 73% of municipalities in the US have fluorinated water.
Rachel Ann Brown
Yeah.
Dr. Nathan Bryan
So it's the water we're bathing in. It's the water we're cooking in. It's the water we're drinking.
Joni Table Talk Host
Oh, wow.
Dr. Nathan Bryan
And it's killing all the bacteria in our body. On our body.
Joni Table Talk Host
I have all my water filtered.
Dr. Nathan Bryan
People, you have to get a. You have to get a whole filtration.
Joni Table Talk Host
System and the filter can explain why the fluoride is bad because it was initially used to try to be something good. But what does it do to nitric oxide?
Dr. Nathan Bryan
Well, fluoride, number one, is a halogen on the periodic table. So it's a very. What we call electrophilic so it steals electrons. Anything that steals an electron is an oxidant. It rusts your body from the inside out. So it kills your thyroid function, it's a neurotoxin and it's an antiseptic. So the thought process was, in dental medicine 100 years ago, it was thought that if you fluoridosis could help increase the remineralization of teeth. But that was a fallacy. And then the other oral systemic connection was it was realized in the 19 teens that people had dental infections. There was translocation of pathogenic bacteria that caused systemic inflammation, caused plaque instability, plaque rupture. So in autopsies, you could culture oral bacteria in the thrombus that cause sudden cardiac death.
Joni Table Talk Host
Yeah.
Dr. Nathan Bryan
So then the thought process was, well, let's kill all the bacteria in the mouth. But that's not a good thing at.
Rachel Ann Brown
All because there's good bacteria and we need a microbiome.
Dr. Nathan Bryan
A hundred years ago, we didn't know any such thing of a microbiome. Today we know we're more bacteria than we are human. The bacterial cells outnumber human cells 10 to 1. So we have to support the microbiome we can't support.
Joni Table Talk Host
So we have good bacteria, folks, and we need that.
Dr. Nathan Bryan
They're the cops, they keep the bad guys at bay. You destroy the microbiome and disrupt that ecology, you're gonna get sick.
Joni Table Talk Host
Explain to people watching real quick, what is the microbiome for people who don't know what that is.
Dr. Nathan Bryan
Microbiome. So we have a microbiome. The communities of bacteria in the mouth are different than the colon bacteria in the armpits, the skin. And women have vaginal flora. And so we have. The ecology is different because these bacteria populate different parts of the body for specific reasons. Right. And so we have to maintain that because they're providing metabolism, metabolic byproducts that humans don't provide or haven't yet evolved to do. So when we destroy, there's a microbiome, there's a dysbiosis associated with every human disease.
Rachel Ann Brown
Wow.
Dr. Nathan Bryan
So, I mean, gut and neurological disease, gut dysbiosis causes neurological disease. I mean, that's why you have to be careful of overusing antibiotics, because they completely destroy.
Rachel Ann Brown
And dysbiosis means there's an imbalance in your gut bacteria.
Dr. Nathan Bryan
That's right. From the pathogenic, from the non pathogenic commensals to the pathogenic non commensals, there's opportunistic pathogenic bacteria.
Rachel Ann Brown
How often do you take your nitric oxide Lozenger every day.
Dr. Nathan Bryan
Every day for the past 20 something years.
Commercial Announcer
And how do we get you?
Joni Table Talk Host
Look at them.
Dr. Nathan Bryan
Look at me.
Joni Table Talk Host
Anna wants one. I want right now.
Commercial Announcer
Me too.
Rachel Ann Brown
We can all just take a lozenge.
Commercial Announcer
On the show, ask them around. What is the name of this? Elagen.
Joni Table Talk Host
And how do we get them? Well, he has a website and we can put that up, right?
Dr. Nathan Bryan
Yeah. So our technology is.
Joni Table Talk Host
What is that?
Dr. Nathan Bryan
Is n101.com. So our products are N101. So nitric oxide 1 nitrogen 1 oxygen N101.
Joni Table Talk Host
Yes. And of course the book, the Secret of Nitric Oxide. The ladies are just, they are so ready to get whatever put the cream. You have like a whole like skincare line and all kind of stuff that has nitric oxide in it, right?
Dr. Nathan Bryan
It is. You know that the motivation for that was my dad. You know, dad's been an inspiration for a number of reasons, but he developed a non healing decubitus ulcer back in 2014. He developed sepsis, almost died. And the wound care doc said we would never heal this wound. And so I just refused to accept that. So I started making a nitric oxide releasing gauze that I would put in the wound bed and a four year old non healing wound. We healed within six months. That's amazing. So the wound care docs were like, what? What did you do? We've never seen this before.
Joni Table Talk Host
Yeah. Wow.
Dr. Nathan Bryan
So then I was motivated. Well, I can make a topical nitric oxide. So I made a dual chamber nitric oxide serum. Now we position it as a beauty product for fine lines and wrinkles and skin care, but we're developing it as a drug for diabetic ulcers.
Joni Table Talk Host
That's awesome. Okay, well, there's so much. Hey, will you come back and talk about more things?
Dr. Nathan Bryan
Absolutely. Look, we've come a long way, but we got a lot of work to do.
Rachel Ann Brown
We want to pick your brain more nitric oxide options.
Joni Table Talk Host
We get him to talk in layman's terms. He's telling all those big words, I'm like, okay, all right, well, we are out of time. But I don't you remember that. Listen, God designed your body to heal and thrive. And with resources like nitric oxide, you can live the healthy life he intended. And of course you can fulfill your purpose. We've got so many things, Dr. Bryan, that affect us in the world today. We've got, you know, we've got the air we breathe, the food we eat, the water we drink. I mean all those things are taking away the production of what God intended for us to have. So what a great solution in talking about this. And I just pray that you've been blessed by it. Have you ladies been blessed by it? Yes. Well, if you're watching today and let's just say you have something going on in your body, you're sick, and you just feel alone, well, that's why that number's on the screen. And we would love to pray with you and just encourage you and just let you know that you're not alone and that God loves you. And I tell you, the most important thing I think Dr. Brian said is that he really couldn't do any of this stuff or wouldn't have made it through even to where he is today without the Lord in his life. That's the most important decision that you can make today, is just to invite Jesus into your heart and life. And that's so easy to do. Just to say, jesus, forgive me, come into my heart today. I don't really know what these people are doing at the table. Maybe you've never watched this before, but I'm willing to give it a try. Do that. And I'm telling you, you'll not be the same. And God will walk with you with whatever you're going through right now. Okay, Well, I do want to thank Dr. Nathan for joining us.
