But I'm going to meet with them the first week back. I do it now, but they're trying to come up with a schedule. They want to, they want to meet badly, they've told me. But they want to come up with a schedule. I said make it a good schedule. Your rates have to come way down. We're also going to meet with other insurance companies because under Biden, the insurance rates have gone through the roof. Auto insurance, home insurance. I mean, insurance companies are making far more than they're entitled to make. So we're going to be doing that. But just in the meantime, we'll be meeting with the insurance companies in the first week, the first few days back in Washington because they're trying to come up with a proposal that will satisfy me. Thank you very much, everybody. Appreciate it. I hope you're going to enjoy the battleships. They're going to be beautiful. Thank you. And have a great Christmas. If I don't speak to you. Thank you very much. Thank you very much. Hello, everybody. You've been watching President Trump with a major news conference down at Mar a Lago, his home in Florida, where he announced a new class of battleships that are already beginning construction in the next few weeks. And they will include hypersonic missiles and all the new technology that our Navy needs to protect our country and to make the world safer. That was a big announcement there. At the end of the news conference, you also heard the president announce another development. He's going to be meeting with the major health insurance companies of this country, trying to get them to work with him to bring down the cost of health insurance, to bring down the cost of health in America, a top priority for that. He achieved a lot of that in 25 when he worked with the pharmaceutical companies to bring down drug prices. And now he wants to work on those insurers, many who are beneficiaries of those Democrat subsidies that came out of the COVID era and went directly to health insurers, not to the American people. Those are ending at the end of the year. Now the president's going to be meeting with insurers to figure out what else they can do, what else they can put on the table. To do that, I'm going to bring in my amazing co host, Amanda Head, who's our White House correspondent. We're going to turn to our guest in just one second, Congresswoman Marianne Miller Meeks from the great state of Iowa. But before we do, Amanda, a lot of news at this sort of end of our beginning of the holiday week. Newser. A whole new class of warships and a plan to declare war on the affordability of health insurance.
Amanda Head
Yeah, just with Respect. I mean, it was just a few days ago that President Trump sent out $1,776 to our service members. So they got that boost. You know, I'm sure you've seen the viral videos of folks posting videos and, and screenshots of that ACH wire coming into their bank account. It is something so joyful for them. And then you have this expressed by the President of the United States. And John, I had so many people who said, well, do you, do you think that, you know, now that the President's down at Mar a Lago, that things are going to slow down? And I thought to myself, if this was any other administration, maybe so. But that is not the case here. And here we are on the first workday of President Trump so called vacation and he's making these announcements. So you've got a, you know, a double boost for the military when it comes to providing them with the resources that they need. Now, by sea, he did this by air with the F47 and he talked about doing it by land today as well. So it is a major boost for the military and of course, the war on affordability, as you and I have talked about frequently. So many of these measures that President Trump enacted in his first term, whether it was by executive order, it was codified by Congress, these things are going to kick in by spring and hopefully, according to President Trump, the economy is going to be roaring.
John Solomon
Yeah, absolutely slow. And Trump, those are two words that do not go in the same sentence. He's always moving fast. And another, another example of that today. It's always fun to watch the president in action on vacation because he's just as much working then as he is when he's in the Oval Office. Pretty amazing. All right, a great time to turn to our first guest today. She's a congresswoman for the great state of Iowa, one of the great common sense arguers in Congress. She gets common sense things done. She is Congresswoman Marionette Miller Meeks. Congresswoman, great to have you on the show. Merry Christmas.
Congresswoman Mariannette Miller-Meeks
Well, Merry Christmas to you and it's great to join both you and Amanda. John, thank you for that. And I'm just going to say I would call this President Trump's war on unaffordability, because that's what we're tackling, the unaffordable policies of the last administration and how to really do things for the American people and for their pocketbooks.
John Solomon
Let me stay on that topic because last week Republicans added to the arsenal in that war, which is creating a health care plan to bring down premiums to give more choice, give more opportunity to the American people. That plus what the President is going to do in meeting with insurers, a one, two punch that could have a profound effect in 2026.
Congresswoman Mariannette Miller-Meeks
I think so. So from our conversations way back in September talking about the enhanced premium tax credits which only affect about 1.67 million people, that, that those subsidies went directly to the insurance company. There was no incentive for the insurance company to lower premiums and we had to put forth policies that lower premiums for everyone. So the Republicans and President Trump want to lower premiums for all Americans, not just a select few on the exchanges, but all Americans, whether they're employer based insurance, self insured, small business employers or whether they're on the exchanges. And it's going to take policy changes to do. And then we can do more in 2026 looking at individual health accounts where the money does go to the patient with guardrails so they can spend that on their health care costs. More competition we know drives down prices and not having money go directly to the insurance companies, that's going to motivate and incentivize insurance companies to accurately reflect their premiums. And I'm working on a bill towards that as well too. But very happy to see that President Trump is going to meet with the health insur companies and our bill passing may have had something to do with them wanting a meeting with the President.
Amanda Head
I would love to be a fly on the wall in there. I hope I'm part of that press day because the way that the President has spoken about insurance companies and the way that they often rip off the American people, he's going to let it rip. I want to ask you because you know so many Americans, they, they have health insurance, whether it's through their employer or their union. And that's really wonderful. But there are a lot of people, a part of my generation, millennials, people who are zoomers, who are, who are a part of the gig economy. And gone are the days when you start working for someone at 22 years old and you stay with them for 40 years. So for those people, you even have something built in for them where they can build their own group, right?
Congresswoman Mariannette Miller-Meeks
That's exactly right. This is association health plans. The Farm Bureau association in Iowa used to be able to do that before it was prohibited by the Unaffordable Care Act. And so yes, just like members can get together and form a credit union from disparate but similar industries or people within the gig economy can get together, form an association health plan, diversify their risk, increase their numbers, and have more leverage to make contracts with insurance companies. Small businesses and association plans were prohibited in the Unaffordable Care Act. They were prohibited under Obamacare and this was a huge disadvantage. So small businesses were greatly disadvantaged in the Unaffordable Care act as compared to large businesses. So allowing them to group together to form a bigger group to be able to contract with insurance companies, to be able to diversify their risk pool. The stop loss insurance, which protects them from catastrophic events, which can then lower their health care premiums. Those are really important things. And then some of the things that the Democrats had with cost sharing reductions, that was actually in the Affordable Care act, but it was never funded. And therefore insurance companies were bumping people up into higher tiers. Call silver loading. So they actually would be paying higher premiums, which of course we know those premiums and credits went directly to the insurance companies. So yes, I think there's a lot of good stuff in this bill that starts to tackle the increased cost of health insurance, which we know premiums have gone up every single year since the Unaffordable Care act was passed, despite President Obama saying that it would bend the cost curve down and lower premiums by 2500. So finally, this is the first bill that's going to tackle the rising cost of health care. And also with PBM reform getting a handle on increased prescription drug costs. So very pleased about this bill. Everybody should be calling their senators, whether they're Republican or Democrat. This is, this is an American bill. It is not a Republican bill. But everybody should get on, on with their senators and tell them to vote for this bill when they come back in January.
John Solomon
Yeah. So important. You mentioned PBMs, the pharmacy benefit managers. They have become these middlemen that have helped drive up the cost of prescriptions to the American people. This new bill obviously gives us some transparency into just how much and that allows us to start to navigate these middlemen. But down the road, is there more will to do more and that thing maybe get the middlemen out of the equation entirely?
Congresswoman Mariannette Miller-Meeks
Well, I think thank you so much for bringing that up. Yes, this is just one more step. We've been incrementally making these changes even in Iowa. When I passed my first PBM reform bill in 2019, which was on transparency, one of the counties in southeast Iowa was able to save $80,000 last year on their prescription drug costs for their employees. That's a big deal for a small county. You know, of 30, 35,000 people. So we know that there's more by, you know, shining a light on what's happening in this opaque middleman between the drug manufacturer and the pharmacy. We've seen too many small and independent pharmacies close, as well as chain pharmacies, closing pharmacies because of the practice of the PBMs and also the vertical integration. So it's time to do more. We've already passed some in the reconciliation bill on PBM reform. Now we've got another section on PBM reform, But more needs to be done.
Amanda Head
I love that. With respect to the war on affordability, I want to talk to you about the Speed Act. This is something, and I'm one of those people that I think that everything in government be streamlined and that should just be the default. But this is something that was streamlined, permitting for things like infrastructure projects, projects, energy, mining, things like that. Is this the type of thing. It's already passed out of the House. But is this the type of thing that once it kicks in, it will fuel the economy even more? Because I know that, you know, Republicans are dancing on a very thin line heading into midterms.
Congresswoman Mariannette Miller-Meeks
Absolutely. It will fuel more growth, more economic growth, more building. So the, you know, companies that want to invest in the United States, but it takes a huge amount of capital because it takes years and years. So this is absolutely going to help. There's more we will do on the liability. We had some in the Fiscal responsibility act in 2023, but honestly, both parties agree that we need to have reform of the permitting system and also the liability system. So this is a huge step. I can tell you. Just about every company benefits from that. My manufacturers in Iowa are very pleased with this bill. It also allows them to make capital investments and they're already planning on building, you know, new factories, new facilities within my district and within Iowa. So very important bill to get across the finish line. Again, it'll go to the Senate, but it's a hugely important bill and it will do a great deal to both onshore and expand manufacturing and business in the United States, which will drive up wages, drive up employment, and that's going to help people with their pocketbooks and kitchen table issues.
John Solomon
Yeah. No doubt. Another area of progress, particularly with President Trump and the Republicans in Congress investing in our military, whether it's the checks that President Trump announced last week, the 900 billion plus national authorization that was done last week, or today's announcement that we're going to get a new ship of war classes, a lot of Investment in future warfare in the people that will make future warfare successful. Want to get your take on the president's announcement today? I don't think a lot of people saw that one coming.
Congresswoman Mariannette Miller-Meeks
We think that this is fantastic. We met with Secretary Driscoll and when we had gone to the commissioning for the USS Iowa nuclear Submarine. Submarine, we talked about the need. We authorized increased shipbuilding. And the United States is way behind how many ships they can put out in a year as compared to China. So revamping the process of how we build ships, making sure they're on time, on target, on budget, we know the United States can do that. We have to have the right incentives. We have to have aligned regulatory processes and the funding. So I think this is extraordinarily important for us to be able to have a state of the art military and keep up with our adversaries, the Chinese Communist Party, who as we know, is continuing to make further and further inroads into the South China Seas and the Pacific. So, and starting to affect trade routes. So it's very important. This is very, you know, a very good thing. I'm glad President Trump talked about it. We have appropriated the money for a shipbuilding as well as, as you were talking about airplanes earlier. But it's important for us to be able to keep up because we all know that the best defense is a good offense.
John Solomon
Yeah. So very important. Congresswoman, it's a great honor to have you on the show. I want to wish you a merry Christmas. I also want to thank you for all you do. I noticed earlier today, it was over the weekend, your home state governor shouted you out for all the great work you did in getting that health care bill. A lot of others shouting you out as well. But great to have you on the show today. Thank you so much.
Congresswoman Mariannette Miller-Meeks
Well, thank you both. And Merry Christmas to you. And Merry Christmas to all Americans.
John Solomon
Comes Merry Christmas. Amen for that.

Welcome back everybody. A few days ago John and I got the chance to speak to world renowned Dr. Peter McCullough and we spoke about a lot of the fear mongering going on this winter around Covid and the flu and so much more. So what is the best way that you can protect yourself? Listen to Dr. McCullough here is all right.
John Solomon
Joining us now, he's a world renowned doctor, chief Scientific Officer at one of our great partners, the Wellness Company and the man who had so much right about the pandemic when our public health officials had it all wrong. He's also the author one of my favorite books. Co Author Vaccines Mythology Ideology in reality, three important words that really do go along with vaccines these days make a great Christmas gift. Go check it out if you want to give someone a stocking stuff for Joining us now, our good friend Dr. Peter McCullough. Dr. Good to have you on. Merry Christmas.
Dr. Peter McCullough
Merry Christmas.
John Solomon
All right, we've had a lot of waffling even under the Kennedy hhs. Do we put a warning on the COVID vaccine? Do we not? The evidence becomes more strong every day, particularly for young people, that there was a cardiomyritis problem here, heart inflammation problem. Why has it been so hard for our regulators to give the warning the American people need.
Dr. Peter McCullough
I think there's a deep state within the FDA connected to the biopharmaceutical companies. They really don't want to see this concession of a black box warning meaning the vaccines can lead to death, particularly fatal myocarditis. There was a leaked memo. So somebody ethical within the FDA leaked it out. Clearly 10 out of 96 for sure, probably all 96. One of them purportedly is Ernesto Ramirez. I looked at his autopsy back in 2021 and I said it was fatal myocarditis. I think the FDA should do the right thing, show courage, put a black box warning on it it so people can be fairly warned if they're going to take any more of these shots.
Amanda Head
Absolutely. Dr. McCullough, as I am riding the metro into the city, as I'm walking around even here in our office, I hear people sniffling and snarfling all through their day. And it doesn't seem like the flu has hit us yet. Maybe it's just regular colds, but what do we need to watch out for? I know you're a huge proponent of gargling and no sprays and things like that. What can do we we do to prepare ourselves other than avoiding the people who are doing the sniffling and the snarling?
Dr. Peter McCullough
Nearly impossible to avoid across Europe. It's really a quad demic of common cold influenza, respiratory syncytial virus and COVID 19. They're almost indistinguishable from one another as an adult syndrome. Everybody should be on twice a day nasal sprays and throat sprays. Wellness company has immune defense that's probably the best in class. Additionally, I think gargling twice a day. My favorite is spry to do it, you know, after you brush your teeth. But you shouldn't go a single day without using a nasal spray at least twice a day because the virus sets up shop in the nose for about a week before it drains to the throat and starts with a sore throat. So by the time you have a sore throat, it's too late. The best defense as shown in multiple randomized trials are nasal sprays, throat sprays and gargles. Additionally, you know, oral immune boosters. Wellness company has natural immunity and of course to have an emergency medical kit be ready when it strikes.
John Solomon
I want to talk about one of those because it's incredibly popular and I think people are starting to realize that there is a science to protecting yourself against contagion. So tell us a little bit about the contagion kit Because I think in this particular immediate environment of the next couple of months, that could be a very helpful tool for sure.
Dr. Peter McCullough
The black contagion kit is really focused on influenza, acute COVID 19. And we know actually from data from the bird flu, the human cases of bird flu, all the human cases successfully treated were on day one with olsetimifir or Tamiflu. You know, Tamiflu works, provided you start on day one, you start on day five. It almost doesn't work at all. We know with acute COVID 19, we can start with ivermectin or hydroxychloroquine again on day one. If there starts to be wheezing, coughing, then the budesonide in the kid comes into play. Of course, azithromycin, secondary antibiotic from bronchitis. People can bail themselves out of a problem with this kit and not end up in the emergency room or at urgent care.
Congresswoman Mariannette Miller-Meeks
Huge.
Amanda Head
Dr. McCullough, my dad is one of those folks who for years he's gotten the flu shot. He's never really had any serious repercussions from it. But he called me last week and he said, amanda, you wore me down. All of this talk against getting the COVID vaccine and now the flu vaccine. Now I'm actually going to ask you your opinion. And I said, listen, looked at, if you've taken it for this long, then you know, I support you, whatever you want to do, but I would lean in the direction of not getting it. Is the flu shot any good?
Dr. Peter McCullough
You know, this year is going to be almost certainly completely useless. We have the H3N2 strain, a subclade K. It looks like it's completely off base in terms of anticipating this strain. In terms of the flu shot. Personally, I took 40 flu shots over time because I had to be on staff at a medical hospital. What it does is it makes you more prone to the common cold and actually tends to backfire, as shown in a recent Cleveland Clinic study. So I am not advising the flu shot for any of my adult patients and I don't take it myself.
John Solomon
Wow, that's important to hear that. That's important. So I want to talk about something that one of your colleagues, another guy who had a lot right about the COVID era of bad medicine, Dr. Harvey Risch, was on the show yesterday. The new cancers are for President Trump. And he said, listen, we're going to do an intensive study about ivermectin and hydroxychloroquine to see if they have, if their anti inflammatory effects could Have a role in treating cancer. That was a big headline for us and something I had heard before. I'd like to get your reaction to what he talked about.
Dr. Peter McCullough
Well, we're greatly enthusiastic. Again, the combination is Ivermectin Membenazole. It's a fixed dose combination offered by the wellness company on label. It's used for occult parasitic infections. But more and more case vignettes and studies are emerging about the anti cancer effect of those two products together so patients can use them. It's legal to do this off label. Now we carefully note the reasons why patients want to do this. They should check it out with their oncologist, make sure it's going to be okay with their conventional chemotherapy. But there is a study underway at Cedars Sinai Hospital in la ucla. They're going to be testing Ivermectin. I think we should see the National Cancer Institute do a large scale clinical trial of the combination of Ivermectin and Benazole to see if it reduces cancer outcomes such as hospitalization and death or conversely prolonged cancer free survival, particularly for the common cancers, breast, colonial, prostate, bladder. I'd love to see it. America wants it and they want to see us do more in cancer care. And the NCI at NIH is the group to do it.
John Solomon
Very clear yesterday he said it here. He's doing it. We're going to do the studies.
Amanda Head
That was a big, big moment here, Dr. McCullough. As you know on the show we are often talking about the weaponization and the politicization usually of government and the justice system. But that also happened during COVID with the medical community. We've had a lot of conversations with you about the distrust that the American people now have because they witnessed that firsthand. Do you feel like with this new administration, with new people heading up the FDA and hhs, do you feel like the American people are moving in a better direction now, as you know, finally starting to trust these people again?
Dr. Peter McCullough
Well, Trump and RFK and of course the new group have made strides, no doubt about it. I think they are working against a biomedical deep state. But remember, the medical establishment is connected to the federal government through Medicare, Medicaid and National Institutes of Health funding. So there's the strings attached. They can make great strides to restoring faith. I think all the medical boards should drop their Covid misinformation policies. Restore the doctors. The Federal Trade Commission should do the same. That's going to do a lot to rebuild trust. We do have to see some capitulation on where Our government agencies went wrong and what they're doing about it now to make things right.
John Solomon
Sir, we have been so lucky to have this partnership with the wellness company. We get great access to your expertise and others in your company than our customers. Details. Welcome back, everybody. Joining us now, actress, author and education freedom advocate. She helped form the Parents Demanding justice alliance and she's also here with one of that group's co founders, Kelly Walker. She is Sam Sorvo. Sam Kelly, great to have you on the.
Sam Sorbo
Show. Thank you so much for having.
John Solomon
Us. Great to be here. All right. I want to take a really interesting look at this. I think a lot of folks look and say, hey, we made a lot of progress under President Trump of her parents rights over the last few years. Congress has made some progress. The courts have made some progress, but there is a lot more. You're looking for an executive order from President Trump. Sam, tell us a little bit about what it would.
Sam Sorbo
Do. Well, I'll tell you one thing. I mean, we're facing a bit of an existential crisis. We just saw that Georgia has admitted that the election virtually was stolen, that there were ballots that were duplicated and ballots that were not counted. And so that's one thing, but here's the other thing, is that we have parents that have been attacked by their school boards based on the memo by Merrick Garland that enlisted the support of the FBI. So the FBI made a terror watch list based on some parents speaking using their freedom of speech to express an alternative opinion from the school board. And now we are facing this threat that is against the parents. And frankly, if you're going to take out the parents, you're taking out the family, you are attacking the nation's children. And that's what we're seeing at the level of the school boards in the country today. And no executive order that we have seen so far has any teeth in it to do anything about it. And so all the executive orders that we've seen so far, all the advances for parental rights rights are to protect them. But the fact is that when they are infringed upon. There are no avenues for recourse against those that are doing the infringement. And that's the problem that we have, because those people are advancing even as you and I speak.
John Solomon
Today. Yeah. New York just recently banned any discussion. Parents and administrators can't even talk about allowing men into women's sport. It's like, banned from any discussion. It seems extraordinary. Kelly, I want to turn to you because everybody thinks, well, we live in America. We always have the right to redress our grievances to our government. You have a firsthand experience that tells us we don't always get that chance. Tell us what happened to.
Kelly Walker
You. Yeah, absolutely. My family was highly targeted because I stood up for the community and spoke out for children. And unfortunately, on October 7, Pam Bondi told the Senate, testified to the Senate, that the targeting has ended, as if a memoir could do that. But in fact, the opposite has happened, because people haven't seen accountability who've targeted these parents because there haven't been inquests or arrests or restitution for these parents or any kind of help. It's just emboldened the people to push harder to persecute these parents more. We have parents who've lodged complaints, gone through the whole process with doj. We've been made promises, but nothing's happened. So all of us who stood up for our country and our country's children continue to suffer persecution. We actually drafted an executive order to recognize these parents as the heroes and the champions of freedom that they are. But so far, nothing has happened for these parents, and that really needs to.
John Solomon
Change. And right away, yeah, Sam said something pretty profound, which is, without punishment, there really are no teeth in these orders. Let's go through, Kelly, just real quickly, some of the ideas in this executive order that are important for changing the dynamic as it is.
Kelly Walker
Now. Well, sure, it's very interesting because one of the things we've looked at is a possible pardon for parents who were arrested, even jailed, for speaking out. And what's interesting is Rudy Giuliani and others and more recently, Tina Peters received pardons from the president, and these were for state charges. And some people will say, well, the president can't do that. I beg to differ, because the federal government, the Biden administration, the Garland Monaco administration, used state prosecutors as proxies, sort of like henchmen to carry out their will. So all of this was federally directed. So we want to establish that in the executive order and say that these people need to be pardoned because it was a. The proof is all there that it was federally driven. You know, you can, you can arrest the hitman, but you have to arrest the person who hired the hitman. Right. But also restitution for these parents for, for legal fees, for loss of jobs, loss of homes. The federal government can certainly do that. It's not a lot of people, really. It's, you know, we have 6, 60 in our dossiers. So really what we need is for President Trump to stand up and say, hey, I'm the parent in chief. And these parents have been given a raw deal. I mean, it's on the level of innocent people who walked around the Capitol on January 6th. Tina Peters. We're kind of all in one basket, one basket of deplorables who were targeted, and our lives have been all but destroyed. So we're waiting for the government to come back and say, hey, we see you, we recognize you, we're going to help you out. We're going to set you back on that path to life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness that was taken away from you under the previous.
John Solomon
Administration. Yeah, there is that model now, because as you said. Go ahead, Sam.
Sam Sorbo
Please. I'll just, I'll just add that if we don't do this, then it's the nation's children that are being targeted. This is the problem, is that if we, if they are allowed to sideline the parents, parents who are, who are the people who are engaged with protecting their children, then it is very clear that they are after the children. They're not after the parents. They want the kids. And those are the people that are serving in many of our schools today. And so those are the people that we need to, to retain right and, and hem in. We need some punishment against the school board individuals and the administrative individual who went after parents unjustly. And that's what we're after. Those are the teeth that we need. We need to put them on guard so that they don't do this.
John Solomon
Again. Yeah. A special prosecutor would open up special investigative capabilities, and that's important. Right? You don't want to just make amends to the parents. You also want to punish those who were. Who used the power of government to punish what should be protected. Free speech, your ability. How important is that special prosecutor to be.
Kelly Walker
Named? I think it's very, very important. And I think also that Sam and I and others are willing to step forward and meet with President Trump and pick up some of the work similar to what Elon Musk and others have done, where private citizens have come forward and said hey, we're going to help out. We're going to bring you the information. We've done a tremendous amount of work and research, so we could actually help a special prosecutor in the meantime. However, while all this is being investigated, there are parents across the nation who are just, including my family, who are just struggling to make it after their lives were decimated. So what we're hoping is that President Trump will come forward and recognize the sacrifice that these parents have made and help put them back on a path to where they are living the American dream again. It's not a golden age for these parents right now. It's a really dark time, and that needs to.
Sam Sorbo
Change. And so if people want to support, they can go to parentinchieief.com or parentinchief.org they can make donations. They can sign our petition. We named it Parent in Chief because we need a parent in chief. Donald Trump, you are the parent in chief. We need you to come to the rescue of these parents and lead the. Lead the.
John Solomon
Charge. Pretty clear call to action there. Sam, before we let you go, there's been a lot of extraordinary details. We keep learning about things that happen in our school districts. Whether parents are sidelined or not, crazy things continue to target our children's school districts. You continue to advocate for homeschooling. A lot of progress has been made in the homeschool arena in the last few years. Just give us a quick update on the exciting things going on.
Sam Sorbo
There. Well, I'll tell you, people are realizing that school is just not that big a nut to crack, and they can do it at home. And that's really, really what the homeschooling is about. I call it home education because it's absolutely not school at home. It's easy. It is not that difficult to do. And the reason for that is because education is driven by curiosity, not by the teacher. You can lead a horse to water and you can't make him learn. And so it's the same thing with children. You can lead them to the textbooks, but you can't force them to learn. Learn. Coerced learning is not learning at all. And so when people take this home and they, they do it at home, and the children start to enjoy themselves learning, which is really what they should be doing, then people understand that it's much easier. If you want any more information on that, go to samsorbo.com all my books are there, all the research is there, and, and there's lots of other help helps for parents who decide to take this on for themselves. It's much easier than you think. It's much more rewarding than you ever dared to.
John Solomon
Dream. It is. I meet more and more parents every day who just said I was afraid to do it once I started doing it. Like, hey, this is easy. It really works. It is an.

Foreign. Welcome back everybody. If you feel like you can't keep up with the latest health trends and what's good and what's not good, well, there's a reason for that, and that is because new studies show that diet soda is not a healthy alternative to regular soda, as you have been led to believe. What they found is going to make you rethink using or drinking these products. Research found that a common artificial sweetener found in diet soda damages your DNA, increasing the risk of deadly disease. So what can you do to maintain your health? Joining us now to discuss this is the Director of Product Development at Native Path, Elijah Magrane. Elijah, thanks for being here. Merry.
Elijah Magrane
Christmas. My pleasure. Merry Christmas to you.
Amanda Head
Amber. All right, so can we drink any soda? Because they told us that regular soda is bad, so we started drinking diet soda and now diet Soda is bad. So should we just kick soda.
Kelly Walker
Altogether?
Elijah Magrane
Yeah. So it's interesting, you know, 20 years ago when, for example, Splenda came out, it was kind of seen as this, like this miracle sweetener, right? You could just count it as zero calories and you could have all the diet soda that you wanted and you know, all of, without kind of any of the guilt. Now you fast Forward now about 20 years later and we found that, you know, that, that there is, there is no such thing as kind of like a free, you know, a free trip when it comes, when it comes to these type of, especially with your food. So we're finding that these artificial sweeteners, there's now like a large growing body of evidence that they actually can make you more insulin resistant, meaning increase your risk for things like type 2 diabetes, damage your DNA and kind of destroy your.
John Solomon
Gut. Scary stuff and important learnings for all of us. Because I think at the beginning we thought, oh, do a diet soda, we're being healthy. But we actually probably won't. Word for folks who are listening and they're like, well, you know, I like a good bubbly soda. I like something good and refreshing. What are some of the best ideas to quench that thirst but not get caught either in the sugar trap or in the sucrose.
Elijah Magrane
Trap? Sure, yeah, no, that's a great question. So typically we, we like, you know, what we call natural sweeteners, right? So stevia is one sweetener, right. Not everybody enjoys it because it does kind of have a bitter aftertaste. But they're. But for a wide, wide array of people, they do, they enjoy. Also there's another one called Monk Fruit. Again, these are just natural sweeteners that they're just much more sweet than what we consider table sugar. Also, even honestly, having things like sweeten something with a little bit of natural honey, date sugar, coconut sugar, these are all things that can make it a little bit easier without that kind of ultra processed refined sugar in general. Kind of the rule of thumb is if you, if you can, try not to drink your calories. We've always kind of heard that before. But for example, there's, there's a lot of products out there that actually have natural flavoring with a little bit of natural sweeteners, you know, that, that can make that kind of transition a little bit.
Amanda Head
Easier. Do you anticipate? Because I, you know, I actually use Monk Fruit and there are a lot of these healthier alternatives. Do you anticipate? I mean, we've seen Coca Cola, they have committed to bringing their Mexican formula to the United States. So cutting out a lot of the chemically sweetness and going back to a more organic recipe. But again you've got the caloric intake. So do you think that there are a lot of these big manufacturers, Pepsi, Dr. Pepper is its own entity, Coca Cola, who will move in the direction of using things that are healthier for you, like monk.
Elijah Magrane
Fruit. Yeah, well, so we're seeing this across the industry. So there's been a lot of, there's been a lot of companies, these big, big kind of conglomerate food companies that they actually control. You know, something about, you know, two thirds of the, of the food supply. If you kind of, if you look at all the companies as a whole, but they're actually investing in buying these, you know, organic and kind of whole food focused companies because they see that there's a demand for it. And you have some people that kind of, you know, scoff at this and say, well, you know, it's just, it's just kind of big business kind of monopolizing and kind of taking, taking these smaller companies and kind of putting them under their wing. I don't really see it like that. I see it as that there's a demand and these companies are now understanding there's a demand and rather than kind of creating the products from the ground up, they're finding brands that do it really, really well and then you know, purchasing those brands or making deals with them so that they can then offer these products to their consumers that are.
John Solomon
Demanding. Yeah. So important. We're very lucky to have a partnership with Native Path for our customers. I credit Native Path for being part of the team that put me on a path to a much healthier living myself. I got so busy I wasn't taking good care of myself. There are a lot of great chemical free alternatives for customers who are tired of tricking their body with artificial sweeteners or artificial colors into thinking they're getting something good. Tell us a little bit about the approach natopath takes to those sort of.
Elijah Magrane
Products. Sure. So for example, we. One of our flagship products is collagen. Right. And it's tasteless, it's, you know, it's orderless. A lot of people put it into their coffee and then they just prefer it to have it like that. However we also. And that, and that collagen is what we call like it's just a single ingredient. There's no fillers, there's no flavor, there's. There's nothing in it whatsoever except for, except for collagen however, we also have a line that includes everything from flavored collagens to collagen that has what we call collagen. PM to help you kind of go to sleep with a little tea or whatnot, and all of those products that have any flavor in it. There's no artificial sweeteners, no artificial colors. Everything is natural. And that's something that we really pride ourselves on. One of our pillars that we talk about is that you want to focus on. Focus on whole food whenever possible. But just because of the dietary landscape today, it's almost impossible to do that because it's really hard to get everything you need, you know, and there is this growing need for actual. For supplementing your diet. And that's one of the things that Native Path offers. And that includes, like I just said, nothing that has any sort of artificial sweeteners or colors or any. Anything of that.
Amanda Head
Nature. Yeah, Elijah, I, I know a lot of people are interested in sugar spikes and what happens with that cortisol spike and how you can avoid that. And I've heard one of the ways is, you know, if you eat something that's got a lot of sugar in it, take a walk around the block. I've also heard, and I'm interested if, you know, this is true of all the exercises you can do. Calf raises, of all things, can help reduce a sugar, like a sugar spike and a sugar.
John Solomon
Drop.
Amanda Head
What? Is that.
John Solomon
True?
Elijah Magrane
Yeah. So actually any sort of movement, especially so your muscles use.
John Solomon
Sugar.
Elijah Magrane
Right. That's their primary fuel source. So anytime you exercise a muscle, there's going to kind of create a need or vacuum for sugar. So if you did just have a, kind of consume a meal and you reference it as far as, you know, we've always kind of had that. Maybe our grandparents told us that, oh, after you eat, eat, we should get up and kind of take a.
Kelly Walker
Walk.
Elijah Magrane
Right. That was something that I remember growing up that, that, that I would do. And I think after a certain amount of time, we kind of move away from that. But there is some ancestral kind of wisdom there where, you know, it's actually better for your body that once you eat, you do a little bit of physical exercise. It can just be walking around the block or doing calf raises. That's fine. That's fine as well. But that actually reduces that. That insulin spike and, and allows you to just feel better. Right. You kind of don't want to. You don't feel like kind of slumping and sitting on the couch watching tv, so to.
John Solomon
Speak. Yeah. When I think of my journey with Natopath. I keep thinking of Alon the deck that Chadwalding made famous, at least for me. And that is think about what your ancestors used to eat and do. It's actually a good idea. That's a lot of what we do today. So important. Thanks for the learnings that I've gotten from Native Path. Amanda Head
That. And John, I'd love to get your take on this because and we actually have a piece coming out tomorrow at Just the News that kind of chronologies chronologizes her her, her political swayings left and right and it's, it's interesting to see her John. She is the dubbed queen of Rap. Not dubbed by herself but by her peers. She is the highest selling female rap artist of all time. She is hugely influential, and for her to come out on stage at a Turning Point event, I mean, we. We all said this going into the 2024 election, but culture has definitely.

When you listen to her, and I did yesterday, you got a sense of why she feels this way, why watching people being slaughtered with no one stepping into the void in Nigeria was so frustrating and why seeing a president that maybe you didn't always agree with stepping in and made her proud and made her hopeful and made the people of Nigeria and the Christians of the world, hopefully. But he also spoke about the infighting and I think that Erica Kirk framed it as, you know, families airing out their business when they're all together. But, you know, I think the vice president is right. This is not what Charlie would have wanted. Charlie welcomed open debate and a lot of folks went up there on that stage with a vendetta list and aired out all their dirty laundry and grievances with.
John Solomon
Others. Yeah, I thought it was pretty unseemly and selfish of those people. This is certainly not something Charlie Kirk would have tolerated or wanted at his signature of the and I thought Vice President Trump, Vice President Vance also saying, hey, Senate, stop your stupid rules, that that's a little bit different than someone outside. The episode maintains a spirited, urgent, and solution-oriented tone. Both hosts and guests are direct, at times combative with mainstream policy and narratives, and highly supportive of individual agency, accountability, and American traditionalism. Medical guests are unapologetically skeptical, while political commentary drives home the need for rapid action and reform.
This episode is dense with policy details, health guidance, and culture war updates framed from a right-leaning populist viewpoint. Listeners come away with practical insights on health, a window into fast-moving legislative priorities, and a feel for shifting trends within both Washington and popular culture.
