Good evening, America. Happy Friday and welcome to the latest edition of JUST the News. No noise. I'm your host, John Solomon reporting to you from the nation's capital, where today the news continues to get a little bit better for the economy. We told you earlier in the week we had the lowest trade deficit since 2009 when Barack Obama was in office. We now had a slightly better than expected jobs report suggesting the unemployment rate ticked down a little bit, outperforming expectations just a little bit. A sign that the doldrums of the Biden economy is wiping away Donald Trump's economy is beginning to take root in America. Amanda, before we get to our first guest today, I think the, a lot of the media have been rooting for bad economics and they keep coming in a little bit better, a little hotter, a little more surprising. You got interest rates down about a point. You got gas down about $0.50, $0.40, some places $2.00. It seems like 26, as you've been writing, is shaping up to be a little bit more joyful year at the dinner table, water cooler and the gas tank.
Amanda Head
You know, there are so many dynamics that play into this and mainstream media is going to find all of the angles that they can to spend this as a bad report. But the fact remains that Americans are getting back to work and they are seeing prices decrease, as you said, for things like gas, which is so vitally important because that plays into a whole range of things. It plays into grocery store prices, which are ticking. They're going to continue precipitously ticking down because of, you know, supply chain costs. All of that plays into American optimism. And when you look at a lot of these polls now, we covered one last year that was right after the shutdown and it was, it was not great. It showed that sentiment at that time towards the economy mirrored what it was during Joe Biden's term. But that has changed. It is the interrupted shutdown was what caused that. Americans are feeling more optimistic. And, you know, going into this year where we've got midterms, it's going to be so vitally important. You know, one of the things President Trump did last year with the USDA was a lot of measures that he implemented to bring grocery store prices down, start cultivating products here in the United States, which is a whole part of his agenda. America first, bringing manufacturing and agriculture back to the States and All of that, I hope, is going to come to a head so that the American people can feel some relief this summer.
John Solomon
That's what I think the president and his team is banking on. You mentioned angles. There's a new angle of the Minnesota shooting, and you can clearly see how that we told you we knew the the ICE officer had to be in the front of the car because the bullet hole went through the glass. How did he get to the front of the car? CNN tried to suggest he wasn't following protocol. He was on the side of the car until the driver backed up. When she backed up, she lined up directly to put him in the direct path of her car before she peeled out all those at other locations who jumped the gun before all the evidence came in, which is very important. We now know how he got to the front of the car. It wasn't because of bad judgment on his part because the car changed its angle before it exited, trying to flee from the police. All right, Amanda, we got a great way to kick off our show today. All right, folks, a lot of times at just the news, we talk about what's wrong in government, right? We expose the wrongdoing, the fraud, the misuses of power. Every so often, we find an agency that's going in a different direction, getting things right. And at the Veterans Administration now, that is the storyline. 20 new regional centers being opened up. The backlog of the famous backlog of cases cut nearly in half over the first year of the Trump administration. $800 million of new investments going into infrastructure. Things are getting better for our amazing men and women who served in the armed forces and are now our veterans. Joining us now to to describe how he's done it and what comes next is the Secretary of Veteran affairs, Doug Collins. Mr. Secretary, welcome aboard. Good to have you on the show.
Doug Collins
It's great to be with you all. As always.
John Solomon
A lot of progress in an agency that for a long time was known for a lack of progress. First, give us your top lines of what you think are the most important improvements in the first year and then tell us what comes next.
Doug Collins
I'd love to. I think one of the first things is, is we just, it starts back almost a year ago now, and that is a new vision at the VA which sounded at the time I was sort of saying like, you know, this is what this always should be. And that was simply that the veteran came first at the va we put back the only reason for us to exist. We put back at the very focus of what we do and everything Is that about a veteran walking through the door or making a phone call or making an inquiry? And so when you take a whole organ bureaucratic organization that for the lot of its time and energy has been spent, how does it treat itself? And instead of how did it treat its customer, then you have a way to start making great progress. Our people have done that, Our VA employees have done that. And so you see what you talked about earlier, it's over 60% closer now that we've cut from 260,000 down to 100,000 on backlog claims over 125 days. We're down to 81 days of time to completion for VA claims benefits. That was almost at 145 days when I first stepped in in February of last year. And if we can get some help from our brothers and sisters over at Dow, we, we're going to actually possibly be able to within this year, conceivably get disability claims down to being processed with around 30 days. That's the kind of stuff that you do when you put emphasis where it needs to go.
Amanda Head
Absolutely.
Doug Collins
Well.
Amanda Head
And it's not just a volume of veterans served. It's also a cut down in the time that it takes to serve them. Talk, talk to us about that. That timeline has, has, has gone, has, has shrunk, let's say it has.
Doug Collins
And you know, look, there's been a lot of said over the last year and we've talked about it a little bit. When I've been able to be with you is, you know, we readjusted. And one of the things that we're doing for this new year is we did a reorganization of our hospital system, making it more streamlined. And instead of it being top heavy of policy and bureaucratic maze of everybody doing what I called the camel committee, everybody got an input. And to make something that's supposed to be a thoroughbred racehorse that ended up looking like a camel, we said, no, who is the most important in our system? And that is our hospitals and our clinics, those frontline workers who actually take care of our veterans every day. And so we turned sort of almost like my friends Bobby and Kennedy and Brooke did on the food pyramid. We turned the pyramid upside down. We made it to where the hospitals are, the point of where we're at and not the bureaucracy. And we made it easier for our doctors, nurses and our administrators to take care of patients and streamline the others, put more people back into hospitals, more people. So that ends up keeping less wait times, more activity, more community care options as we go forward.
John Solomon
I was with some veterans over the holidays and one of them said something to me and was really struck by I said the most exciting thing I heard from the new VA secretary is that the VA isn't just a health care agency. It views itself as a national security agency, meaning the care of our veterans makes sure that our men and women are always cared for because they secure our national security. Talk a little bit about that mindset change. Obviously there's a customer mindset change, but there's also a realization that the VA services bring national security.
Doug Collins
It is, John, and that's a great point. When I first came in, the other thing was I said to everyone that the VA was no longer going to be the sort of excuse and whipping post for the for DC elites and media and Congress and everybody else to say, oh, I'm going to show myself to be patriotic. So I'm going to talk about how bad the VA is. We're going to say where we have issues, but we're going to fix those. But we're also going to tell you where we're good at. And what people forget is in this country, the VA is the literal heartbeat backbone of any national security contingency we have, especially from a mass casualty incident to a natural disaster, to, God forbid, a kinetic contact with a peer to peer. We're going to be that medical background, that medical infrastructure in the background of our Dow. And so we're a national security agency in any way. Not just from the perspective of taking care of the war fighter after they retire and after they get out, but also as we actually are committed to taking care of our community in times of crisis and war or pandemics, as we did just a few years ago. So I put we've repositioned ourselves to remind everyone that we're as much national security as Homeland or Dow or intel or anywhere else, because we provide a vital function that without us, it would be very hard to carry out those national security functions.
Amanda Head
Mr. Secretary, oftentimes you find that when you partner the governmental sector with the private sector, that that really gets the engine roaring. And when it comes to the va, bringing in the private sector is a huge part of the success. You bring more doctors along, you can see more patients. Talk to us about that partnership.
Doug Collins
Yeah, it's great. Community care has been something that the president is really, I sort of smile when I say the main thing our president understands is that he understands getting, letting the veteran go to the community if they need to get a doctor that they want to see. And we that was from the Mission act years ago, and now we pack that. We've just expanded that out and said, look, we're going to make it easier and more applicable for a veteran to get into the community if they need to. Now we're going to have a direct care system that's going to be next to no one. We're going to be the elite and we're going to have that. If they want to stay inside the system, they can. But if there's a need that their caregiver of them decide, then we put best medical interest in line where they can go and get that care in the community. And we just are continuing to expand on that. We got a new system coming out this year that's out right now that's going to even expand more options for us to work with. I'm so excited right now. I do have an interesting sort of a hot office press kind of stat. I just found out in the last 24, 48 hours as we were looking at our stats. You know, there's a lot of, especially my friends across the aisle who accuses of trying to privatize the va, which is never going to happen. But what we found was, is we had an increase in our direct care appointments and stuff this year that we've not seen. Although community care was going up as well, but direct care was going up too, which tells me that our hospitals are doing what they're supposed to be doing and our veterans are actually wanting to go to our VA direct care medical centers.
John Solomon
That's a big. That's a big change. That is a big, big change. I want to turn to another innovation that you have pushed very hard and that is getting these new regional centers out there in between the gaps of the hospitals, the big hospitals. I think about two dozen, 20 or 24 of them. You've done. Now a revolutionary idea. Tell it what that is doing to the experience of veterans.
Doug Collins
It's helping out a lot. And we're putting the clinics, our C box, what we call them, we put those in places that allow for drive times to be reduced. I mean, we built them all over the country. Like I said. You said 20 plus. Well, you know, I'll just use an example. Down in Hampton Roads in Virginia, there's just a large community of veterans there with the Navy presence, Air Force presence. Everybody else is present, but yet we were at a certain point in time, they were having to come through the tunnels and across the bridges to get to the VA Medical center from the south. Now we have a C bot that is a large C bot that's going to handle over 30 to 40,000 veterans so they don't have to go take those long trips and long tunnel ways back over to the hospitals. We've done one in Fredericksburg, we've done them all over the country. And those are really what we're doing is cutting the time down so that people number one can get the care that they need. But also it goes into something deeper guys in the sense of if it's closer and easier accessible, just as it is in the private sector, the then actually our veterans are gonna get the preventive healthcare that they need. And that is such a big concern for me is that we take care of veterans who have a higher propensity for diabetes, have a higher potency to hypertension, they have a higher propensity for cholesterol issues and others. We're able to get those checked early which cuts our long term costs and gives to better quality of life.
Amanda Head
Sarah, before we let you go, the previous administration placed a priority on DEI injecting it into every administration under the sun, including the va. I know that's something that is no longer a presence there at the va. Has it been only benefits from its departure?
Doug Collins
Yeah, it has. It just puts us back to doing what we do. We need people, we need the best workers at the best time at the best place and that's the criteria that we look for. We don't care, you know, where you come from, what your background is. When you come to the va, put your best foot forward and that's what we need. And right now I'll just tell you in the new year, if you're a doctor, nurse, someone who wants a good career at the va, we're hiring. Come see us. We need you in our facilities. We need you to be a part and we're going to make everything we can to take care of our veterans and for you to be a part of that team.
John Solomon
A new day dawning and all the statistics to prove that things have really changed. And it is really a remarkable story in a town that often doesn't have many bureaucratic assessments to grow about. Veterans Affairs Secretary Doug Collins, Great honor to have you on Happy New Year. Thanks for joining us and thanks for taking good care of our women in the armed forces.
Public Investing Advertiser
Thanks.
Doug Collins
Happy New Year to you all as well. Take care you as well.
John Solomon
Thanks so much. What a great conversation. You know he served in the military as well. What a, what a great honor to his branches that he now takes care of. Now up next, Congressman Pete Stauber from Minnesota. He's going to talk about that staggering fraud, plus the extraordinary shooting that took place earlier this week. New video footage shows the woman backed her car up in put that agent in the front windshield of his car, actually put him in danger, contrary to what you heard on the mainstream media. Right? Not here. We had it right first. We'll deal with all of that next right after these messages. All right, folks, Doctors call it weight cycling. Half of Americans do it. It's when you lose about 10 pounds, but then you regain that weight plus a few extra. It's very tough in your body and can leave you feeling really frustrated. Welcome back, everybody. Who would have thought that the end of 2025 and the beginning of 2026, all of the news would center around Minnesota. But here we are with fraud. John's reporting from yesterday, $700 million out of that airport there, presumably dovetailing off of the stories that we have published about Somali fraud in, in that state. It's unfortunate to see and then even more unfortunate, what we watched unravel in that state in Milwaukee earlier this week. So on with us discuss this, talk about all the implications of these things. Congressman Pete Stauber from that state. Congressman, thank you so much for being with us tonight.
Congressman Pete Stauber
It's great to be with you. Thanks for having me on once again.
Amanda Head
We love having you here. And there's so much good about Minnesota. But man, the stories that are coming out of there recently, I mean, talk to us about this fraud situation. $700 million, I think for a lot of Americans, they think to themselves, well, you compare that to our national debt. That's, that's, you know, not much. It's just a drop in the bucket. But it's a lot of money, especially compared to a lot of these other airports, which, by the way, everybody, to our audience, you can go and look at John's reporting 99 times what they have going out of JFK, 90 times out of Seattle. That's a lot of money.
Congressman Pete Stauber
Well, I think that when you look at a failed governor, you look directly at Tim Walls and his administration. And I told you a couple of weeks back that this is just the tip of the iceberg in this fraud investigation. And as it spreads out, the resources of the federal government are now on the ground in Minnesota looking at this fraud. We had the oversight hearing yesterday and it's just unbelievable the amount of fraud that they're seeing. There's more and more. And you had mentioned that the the suitcases full of tax American taxpayer money full being brought through TSA at the Minneapolis airport. It just so happens that I have a close friend who had worked there for a period of time and he brought this up to me a few years back. He said, pete, these Somalians are coming through with suitcases of cash and there's no mechanism to stop it. They say it's theirs. And we know and with great certainty that that cash was American taxpayer. It was fraudulently taken by them and brought back to their country. And that's why the some people say that the Al Shabaab terrorists receive some of the Minnesota and American taxpayer money via this way because we know that Somalia is a corrupt country.
John Solomon
That's just amazing. And you predicted all of this. You've been calling this for some time. Congressman, what have we learned? We get the sense that Congress is now starting to get briefed and get more details beyond the episodic things that we've learned from reporters. What do you think is the next big shoe to fall? Why would Governor Waltz look the other way? Why would the TSA under Joe Biden look the other way? It seems as though all the signs were blinking red and no one wanted to stop it. Is there a theory about what was going on with all of this cash?
Congressman Pete Stauber
Well, I think that when you look at what's going on in Minnesota right now, all the investigations, and then there's no question or there's no, there's no reason rather that Minnesota won't give their voter rolls to the federal government. And there's a reason why Minnesota won't give their snap benefit rolls to the Secretary of Agriculture to look through them to make sure there there's no snap benefit fraud or election fraud. And in fact Minnesota is fighting against giving that up after all that's happened, after all the fraud that's happened in Minnesota. And I was had the privilege of taking part in the Oversight committee hearing just yesterday in our nation's capital. Three members of Minnesota's fraud committee who did an excellent job testifying and answering questions. Any reasonable person that watched that testimony and listen to the questions and answers has no doubt that Governor Tim Walz either is complicit or was was totally out left field on this. It was clear as day to so many people. And the fact of the matter is there Was there was whistleblowers being threatened. In fact, whistleblowers were asked where their children go to school, what kind of car they drive and where their bus stop for their children are. This was the threatening type of behavior coming from Tim Walls and his administration. And so it's all open now. I think next month Walls and Keith Ellison are going to have been subpoenaed to come to the oversight hearing and talk about this. And you're just seeing a failed governor and Minnesotans are being punished because of it. You know, just this Monday, Tim Wall said he's not running for a third term. He knew he wasn't going to win. Even moderate Democrats have had it with him in Minnesota and many, many independents because of what he's done and what he's failed to do. And the accountability factor is not even in his repertoire. He does not understand accountability and leadership. We know that. And he's misled people in so many ways. And then the inflammatory rhetoric that he calls ICE agents the Gestapo and Nazis, it's just simply unacceptable, really offensive. From a former law enforcement officer as myself are.
Amanda Head
Sir, I want to ask you, I was at the White House earlier today and the vice president came and spoke at the podium at length about this. One of the things that he talked about was the fact that there is going to be a new, a new position at the Department of Justice, an assistant attorney general who's going to oversee looking at all of these instances of fraud that could be taking place, obviously in Minnesota, but Ohio, California, a lot of other states. Do you feel that having that kind of overarching position at the DOJ to look into this is going to obviously help the cause, but is it going to multiply the efforts of everyone underneath?
Congressman Pete Stauber
I think so. I talked to Attorney General Pam Bondi 2 days ago prior to the hearing on the Venezuela Venezuelan capture of Maduro, and she said that they are putting the forces in Minnesota to stop this fraud. And I mean, right now it's historic proportions. And I do believe somebody dedicated to Minnesota until we can. We're convinced as Minnesotans that the fraud has stopped. I think that the federal government will be there until we're all convinced that there's no more fraud and it's cleaned up. And also people are held accountable. When you know about it, you have a duty to report it. And if Tim Walls knew about it or had any indication he had a duty on behalf of Minnesotans to do something to stop it. Yet the whistleblowers were berated, threatened and retaliated Against. And listen, this is not easy for me to talk about, you know, Minnesota elected officials, but the truth, this is the absolute truth. Tim Walls has been a failure and the national media has now got onto what we've been saying in Minnesota for the last several years. And I will not let my great state of Minnesota fall. I will fight to make sure that we are the proud state of Minnesota, hardworking Minnesotans that pay their taxes every single day and just expect a good return on their investment, not turning a blind eye or being complicit with a massive fraud in our state.
John Solomon
So I want to ask about one other thing that Tim Waltz also must own, and that is the sanctuary policies. Kristi Noem, the Homeland Security Secretary, gave a statistic this week that more than 640 criminal illegal aliens for which there are warrants are in the possession of Tim Waltz's in his state, but they won't be turned over to the federal government for arrest, deportation or prosecution. Is that an act of obstruction? And should a governor and the state officials below him who refused to turn them over be charged criminally for obstructing federal authorities?
Congressman Pete Stauber
So it was just over a month ago where ICE had a, you know, brought the federal law enforcement in and arrested over 600 violent criminals, rapists, pedophiles, violent criminals. 600 were taken off the streets of Minneapolis. And they were. The Democrats and Walls were furious that they were making Minneapolis safer. And during this incident involving the shooting yesterday, they're wondering why the state isn't part of the investigation. Number one, the incident happened in a sanctuary city with no cooperation for federal law enforcement. And the FBI has already taken, taken the lead on the investigation. So when you have a sanctuary city that wants nothing to do because they're leaders, I will guarantee you the law enforcement officers themselves want to work with ICE and ICE wants to work with the local law enforcement. But it's elected leadership that threatens them with their job. And saying, you are not allowed. We are. Minneapolis is a sanctuary city. Tim Walls wants Minnesota to be a sanctuary state, not. Not working and supporting other law enforcement agencies. Listen, I was a police officer for 23 years, almost 23 years. We always work together with our fellow law enforcement, whether it was city, state or local, to arrest bad people and make our streets safer. And Tim Walls would. And Jacob Fry, the mayor of Minneapolis, would rather stand with these violent felons and these violent criminals. It does not make sense to me.
Amanda Head
The people in Minnesota deserve better than criminality and obstruction and fraud and everything that they are dealing with. Congressman, thank you so much for fighting on behalf of the people of your state.
Congressman Pete Stauber
State, thank you very much.
Amanda Head
Absolutely. All right everybody, we're going to take a very quick break and we'll have much more for you on the other side.

Welcome back everybody. A couple days ago I sat down with Colonel Rob Manus to discuss the US seizing a Russian linked oil tanker in the North Sea. And it's even more important now as the United States has seized a fifth oil tanker in The Caribbean earlier today. So what's behind the strategy? I'm going to let Colonel Manus explain. Watch here with me in the studio to discuss this further is retired Colonel and host of the Rob Manus Show. He's also the founder of Gator Pack, Colonel Rob Manus. Colonel, thanks so much for being with us.
Colonel Rob Manus
Thanks for having me here.

It's delightful to have you here in person. Two Southerners, so we're kindred spirits. Let's start with the news of the day. This Russian flagged oil tanker, the Ruski's, deemed this as piracy. I would say that they were complicit in a crime, accessories to a crime, because this is fully sanctioned oil from Venezuela, presumably. So where do we go from here in our relationship with Russia? Because they've been real great allies of Venezuela.
Colonel Rob Manus
Well, you know what everybody's been talking about, well, how does the President put pressure on Vladimir Putin to end the war in Ukraine? And these two are tied together, I believe. And that is the big question was how does he sanction the countries that are buying Russian oil? Because it's countries like India who are our friends too, and we want to have good relationships with. So this way we now have the ability to intercept that oil and those tankers coming to and from Russia because Russia is selling oil and they're getting stuff back. And the shenanigans that were played with this particular vessel, it was, I believe, originally the Bella one. And in the middle of the North Atlantic overnight, all of a sudden it got Russian registration and a flag painted on it by hand. So those are games that they're playing. But, you know, it originally started out as sanctioned oil.
Amanda Head
Yeah. And we knew, I think they had originally evaded our coast guard off of the coast of Venezuela. So we knew exactly what was going on with them. So for Russia now, when it comes to their supply of oil, they obviously also get it from Iran. But how, how much of a squeeze does this now put on Putin? I think that's a great point that you brought up to end this war with Ukraine.
Colonel Rob Manus
Well, it's going to put a squeeze on him because you're talking about inbound and outbound traffic in Russia makes dollars or rubles off of their sale of their goods too. So it is going to, it's going to put somewhat of a pinch on him. It's hard to tell exactly how much at this point. But the disruption that's happening in the Gulf of America now, in the Caribbean and the Atlantic will be enough to get his attention. And I think The President's been looking for some type of leverage without completely crushing our own friends and allies to try to figure out how to get Vladimir to come to the table a little bit more than he is so we can end the war in Ukraine. In the bigger picture, though, I mean, this strategy of prioritizing the strength of the United States and the Western Hemisphere and going back really to the Monroe Doctrine, this is a little bit different than the original Monroe Doctrine, which was designed.
Amanda Head
It was mainly European, right?
Colonel Rob Manus
Yeah, it was mainly designed to keep the colonial powers like the UK and Spain out of the Western Hemisphere. But China's been doing essentially that type of work in the Western Hemisphere. You remember when the President's administration came back in, China had control of the Panama Canal, and we're still in talks and discussions and operational movements to eliminate that control over the Panama Canal and put it back in American's control. China, I believe, was establishing a combat naval port in Venezuela so that it could freely operate to disrupt U.S. shipping and U.S. navy operations in the Gulf of America if they were to ever go to war with us in Taiwan. That's what their goal is. If they're going to project power across the Taiwan Straits, they have to have a way to disrupt our operations and keep us from being able to respond and control the sea lanes and sea lines of communication in the Pacific so that we can come to Taiwan's aid, if that's what's necessary. So the big picture is this is really all about China. Russia's a bit player in the Western Hemisphere at this point, but China is a much bigger player. And this strategy directly impacts the Chinese ability to operate freely in the Western Hemisphere.
Amanda Head
Spear in the heart, for sure. And I want to get to more on that in a moment. But I also want to get your big picture, your perspective on President Trump's foreign policy in this second administration. The first administration obviously focused on some really great policy. You know, the Abraham Accords, something that was historic in that region. I remember when the. I was in Israel in 2018, and I remember the flights that I had to take to go to Morocco because I couldn't fly directly to Morocco. Abraham Accords come along and opens up the skies, it opens up trade, all these things. The second administration is, to me, I mean, the foreign policy theory for President Trump is precision strike and get out. We did that in Iran, we have now done that in Venezuela. And it seems to me that rather than what we have seen with previous administrations, with protracted conflicts like in Afghan, Afghanistan and Iraq, now we've got a president in office who is creating structures of deterrence with swift action. And then, you know, there obviously is fallout and there's a restructuring of the relationship, but it's really so quick that it's almost. It almost happens in a flash. And before we know it's happening, it's over.
Colonel Rob Manus
Yeah. The idea is, and you saw a brief glimpse of this when he killed Soleimani in Iran. That is the exact type of operating structure and command structure that I expected President Trump to do in his second impression administration. It's one of the reasons why I supported him. So the phrase peace through strength, reestablishing that peace through strength, and all of this flurry of kinetic operations that are really fast, not designed to establish a foothold on the ground, to try to remake some country that's never going to become a democracy in our image. And not doing those things. It's doing a couple things. One, it's reestablishing our strength because you can't have peace unless the United States is strong. You've seen all the enemies and adversaries that have attacked us over the years, both in our own homeland and externally overseas. And it's still happening today. But the message is getting out. And that message is, if you mess with us, this president and future presidents, if the American people have their way, will operate like this. It's very much like we operated under the Teddy Roosevelt administration. Administration and some other administrations in the past, Thomas Jefferson's administration, the original taking on the Barbary pirates that were attacking US Merchant shipping and those kind of things, sending the Marines in. So it goes way back in our history. It's the way America ought to be operating, because we're not about empire. We're about protecting our vital national interests and our people and our commerce is our vital national interest. And that's what we're going to do. That's what this is all about in Venezuela. Even though it's targeted at China, in my opinion, it's still telling the locals down here in the Western Hemisphere that the United States is back. We're going to behave like the United States again. We're not going to go soft on you, and you need to come to the table and let's be prosperous and do business together instead of fighting and you doing a lot of dying. And that's the way you re establish peace through strength.
Amanda Head
Do you think that message resonates with Colombia's leader and Claudia Sheinbaum in Mexico?
Colonel Rob Manus
Well, that has yet to be seen. But before the president was reelected. I, myself and others were all advocating very vocally that the United States use of our armed forces ought to be focused on our people, our borders and our vital national interests. And it's within our vital national interests for the United States to declare the narco terrorist cartels official terrorist organizations. And there are a lot of facilities and capability in Mexico and Colombia that have not been touched yet. And we have some very good special ops forces, as you can see. Now that message has gone to Sheinbaum and gone to the Columbia guy. And I would expect that if the President doesn't get a response in a way that we need to get it from them, where they're taking control of their own countries again, that those targets will start to be being struck.
Amanda Head
All right, I want to finish with China. Their insidious way of weaving into all different factions of American society, including what we have seen in these protests since the capture of Nicolas Maduro. The extraction of Nicolas Maduro, however you want to put it, a lot of protesters who are now carrying the mantle for Venezuela are organized by a CCP linked organization. China, it seems like a desperate move to me. But do you sense desperation or do you feel like over there in China that she thinks that things are all good and that, you know, the trade relationship, he's still got leverage there. What do you think their feelings are after this?
Colonel Rob Manus
Look, I'm a member of the Committee on Present Danger, China. I was fortunate to be invited to join that when they first created, recreated it out of the Committee on the Present Danger of Russia in the old days. And we've been operating for a few years and we've been identifying China's both insidious and really overt infiltration into American society. And this demonstration thing, every time you've seen a demonstration from the left against something that America is doing in its own interests, and you see these pre made signs and those kind of things that's coming from some kind of organization that's behind it has got a cutout from the CCP's Intelligence, Operation and influence operations in this country. And unfortunately there are hundreds of thousands of operatives in this country that Biden let in through the southern border that are not tracked. There may be a few that are tracked, but most are not. And we don't really have any idea what they're up to. A story just broke yesterday that Barksdale Air Force base where I was assigned for seven years and helped recreate the nuclear Command. Global Strike Command down there has a golf course at the two miles off the south end of the Runway and two miles off the north end of the Runway. And both of those golf courses have been bought by a former CCP intelligence. Officially, he calls himself a Chinese business owner and those kind of things. But it's obvious that kind of purchasing has got to stop and our Congress needs to take action. Our state governors and legislatures need to take action to prevent this kind of activity from happening. But that's by no means the first. That's just the latest that we know about. We've got a challenge inside the country. We've got to get a hold of that. Just like we're taking them on overseas and taking them on in the Western hemisphere. It's time for Americans in America to step up and take care of this problem internally.
Amanda Head
Yeah, I think it's a generally established truth that if a Chinese businessman is wealthy enough to buy two golf courses with premium property, they're probably linked to the Chinese Communist Party.
Colonel Rob Manus
There is no Chinese business that's not linked to either the People's Liberation army or the Chinese Communist Party and their intelligence apparatus, or most likely both the individuals running the companies by and large are part of those organizations.
Amanda Head
Colonel Rodman, it's always great to have your insight into all of this. Thanks for being here in person.
Colonel Rob Manus
Thank you.
Amanda Head
Absolutely. All right, everybody, we're going to take a very quick break and we'll be back on the other side.

You? Welcome back, America. Time for one of my favorite segments of the week, the Justin News Health Update, brought to you by our great friends at Natopath. Joining us now, the co founder and chief culture officer at Natopath, our good friend Dr. Chad Walding. Doctor, good to have you on.
Dr. Chad Walding
Hey John. So good to be here. Thank you for having me.
John Solomon
I love these discussions. I've heard from so many people. I was out at a speech a couple weeks ago. People come up. I love the health segments. We dive into really important stuff. And one of the topics that's been coming up a lot, maybe because of the Maha movement, is the connection between fake meat and chronic disease. Tell us a little bit about what we're learning between that connection and what it could mean long term.
Dr. Chad Walding
Well, I think people are really waking up. You mentioned the Maha movement. I think that's created so much awareness in people that when they hear things like lab meat or something that's processed or ultra refined, they're starting to put their hands up. They're like, hold on. You know, we're starting to see different states banning lab meat and different companies funded by Bill Gates going bankrupt because people are refusing this stuff. And that, that to me shows the power of the movement, the Maha movement. It shows the power of the level of awareness that people are now connecting with their health and their food and the power of. But when people come together and make a decision and really take action, that's one of the most important things to make a difference. You know, we know now if you look at the past hundred years, there's a trend the further away we get from real whole natural food as close to nature as possible that's rich in nutrients and vitamins. The further away we get from that, the more chronic disease we experience, the further we go down. Metabolic disease, insulin resistance, cancers, diabetes, heart disease. That trend is there and it's been happening despite all our advances in science and in technology. So it might look from a, from a technological standpoint, this is amazing. We have lab grown meat and we don't have to plant anything and animals will stay alive, but that comes at a radical cost. So to see people waking up, I think it presents a bright future, in my opinion. I'm very excited about that. I'm very optimistic about it.
John Solomon
Yeah.
Amanda Head
Dr. Walden, when you look at real meat versus lab grown fake meat, I mean, real meat has an abundance of protein, of iron, of antioxidants, so many nutrients that we need. Lab grown meat, as I understand it, is one of the most processed items out there. That, that seems extremely bad for your system and it doesn't really. Does it provide any of those other benefits that real meat does?
Dr. Chad Walding
Not, not as much. Right. It's less nutrient dense. Right. So real meat coming from healthy cows. Right. We want to think about the whole supply chain of food. We're not just what we eat, we're what we eat, eats. Right. So you can take an animal that's out there eating grass, drinking sunshine, like what we're seeing here, they're actually churning the soil with their hooves. They have manure on the ground that fertilizes everything. What you're seeing is a natural, harmonious state of nature, that the nature, nature loves to be in harmony with itself. Right. When we take things and refine things and get synthetic, all the vitamins and all the minerals get stripped away from that. But there's, like you said, there's other toxins that get added in in order to keep this stuff shelf stable, in order to disobey the laws of nature, so to speak. Right. So it has a, has a downstream effect on our health where we're not getting the important amino acids that we need for our health. We're not. Our metabolism isn't burning calories at the state it would with real whole protein. Real, real strong protein. We actually burn calories when we eat it. When we eat a good quality steak, our body's like, wow, we're going to have to work really hard for this. We're going to have to burn some calories and we become healthier for it.
Amanda Head
Right.
Dr. Chad Walding
Protein is one of the most, it is the essential macronutrient. We can go without carbohydrates. We can go a pretty long time without fat. We absolutely cannot go without good quality protein. Right. So going further down, this lab generated fake meat stuff. It's only going to lead to more diseases, it's going to get us more disconnected from nature and our true health and it's going to create problems. So again, to see us reversing course on that is exactly what we want to be doing.
John Solomon
Talk a little bit about protein and then that transition to collagen. Collagen is the super protein that powers our body. When you get my age, I guess my collagen is being dialed down. It's, isn't it?
Dr. Chad Walding
That's right, that's right. I mean, again, protein is the most foundational thing. I always encourage people eat a whole real food diet, you know, seek out the best sources, but also recognize that collagen is the most abundant protein in the body. Right. So when we're looking at each other, we're looking at our skin, our hair, our nails. All of this is made up of collagen. Inside our bodies, we have arteries and veins, we have gut lining, we have a whole nervous system.
Doug Collins
Right.
Dr. Chad Walding
All of that is also made up of collagen. Right. One of the issues though is that we're super deficient in collagen in the modern world. Our ancestors got plenty of collagen because they would eat nose to tail, you know, they would, they take the bones of an animal, they would put it in soups, they would boil it down and they would consume that on a consistent basis. Because we're so deficient in collagen in our modern world and have been eating so many refined foods, many of us as individuals are also extremely deficient in collagen. We produce collagen on our own, but that production begins to decline around the age of 20. By the age we're 50, we're producing as half as much collagen internally as we did in our 20s. So the older we get, the more important it is to consume collagen on a consistent basis. That's why I'm such a big fan of it, you know. Our company, Native Path, we value the highest quality, purest ingredients as possible. So we source course the best possible collagen you can find from grass fed cows. It's type one and type three, which is what makes up 90% of your body. It's as pure, as close to nature as possible. And the best part is it's so easy to use as a part of your daily routine. It's an odorless tasteless powder that you can put in your coffee, you can put it in your teas, you can sprinkle it over your food even. But being consistent with it one day after the next, week after week, month after month, you want to make this a part of your diet, essentially. And over time, you start to see repair in where you've been deficient. You'll see repair in your nails. At one point I was going bald in the back of my head, so I upped my collagen dose. I'm like, there it goes. It's working. One last thing I want to mention is collagen is the not talked about thing when it comes to bone health. Collagen extremely important for bones. And as we grow older, as a physical therapist, I can tell you strong bones is incredibly important for our function and our longevity. So collagen is extremely important for that. There's all kinds of studies and data that shows that consistent collagen supplementation can increase the density of your bones in a healthy way.
John Solomon
Hugely important. And you've made it easy with our great partnership with Native Path to solve this problem. Dr. Chadwalding, thanks so much for joining us. Welcome back, everybody. John, as we were talking about at the beginning of the show, this tragic shooting in Minneapolis, I can't help but to think about what this ICE agent is going through. This is someone who traumatically dealt with another situation on the job six months ago, got dragged by a car, dozens of stitches. And this is someone who is now reeling from this. And you look at the headlines from mainstream media and the way that they are characterizing this, and my heart just absolutely breaks for him and his wife and his family. He is reportedly a committed Christian and I imagine that he is, yeah, an Iraq war veteran. So this is someone who has served his country in so many ways and now he is getting absolutely dragged by the media. You know, symbolically, after he got dragged by a car, now twice.
John Solomon
This agent kills US Citizen. I'll never forget that headline. Talk about a disingenuous headline. J.D. vance, I thought summed it up great yesterday. Listen, there are three things you always learn. And I remember when John Legend took a shot at me saying, oh, how could you say, well, hold on, off on this shooting that occurred in a place? The answer is, well, the guy had a, it turned out three or four days ago, the guy had a knife underneath his seat that we didn't know about. You have to let these things play out. And I think at the end of the day, now that we have enough of the evidence, we can see the honesty. This guy followed his training. The circumstances change when the car changes angle and then he has no time to get out of the way and so he fires his gun. We had guests that said, we think this will be a good shooter.
Amanda Head
President for this too, of course.
John Solomon
Yeah. I'll go back to this famous 1989 case that lays it out. That won't stop those, because what you see in the traditional media is they're always rooting for a scandal and failure in this administration and in this era. That's not what reporters are supposed to do. We're supposed to be neutral, not having a personal or psychological investment in the outcome. But you see all the frothing that went on on the networks, they thought, oh, we got our moment. Donald Trump's finally going to fail at the icing. And then, you know, the evidence comes out and it is what it is. And I learned a long time ago, the men and women of blue and the men and women of green, those who serve in the military, those who serve in the law enforcement first responder committees, they deserve the benefit of the doubt because of what we ask them to do every day. And that benefit doubt just simply means wait till all the facts are out. And a lot of our colleagues in the legacy media couldn't do that, that they want to stomp on this. He's probably going through a lot, but I think the facts will be in his favor.
Amanda Head
So too. All right.
John Solomon
Administration has had his back, which is.
Amanda Head
Very different, unlike under Barack Obama. All right, so let's finish with a positive note. Someone who is a friend of the show, a frequent guest of the show, Congressman Tim Burchett. He will now be Chairman Tim Burchett as he has now been chosen to be the chairman of the subcommittee that's under the House Oversight Committee on Doge.
John Solomon
That's pretty awesome. He is a blast. As you know, he makes us laugh. He makes us think. What I like about him is he, he gets right to the heart of the matter. And I thought Marjorie Taylor Greene did one or two things, a sizzle and then just kind of dropped off. Yeah, this guy is going to be on it. Oh, yeah. It's like ketchup on a hot dog. He is not letting it go. And I think at the end of the day we're going to start to understand how Treasury Secretary Bassett said $600,600 billion of fraud is what he thinks. Annual fraud total. That is staggering.
Amanda Head
Absolutely incredible. All right, everybody, thanks so much for being with us this week. Hope you all have a splendid weekend. We'll be back here on Monday at 6pm Eastern. See you then.
