Would it take effect sir? But the courts have destroyed the courts.
Congressman Ralph Norman
Yes sir.
Donald Trump
Think about it. The courts. A bad court system has destroyed college, sports and colleges in this country and a lot of lives.
John
Mr. President.
Donald Trump
Yeah, please.
Sam Mirjavski
How will your executive order be different
John
from the one that you released in July.
Donald Trump
You mean in the SCORE act? Well, it'd be a lot different because I don't necessarily agree with the SCORE act. I don't know it as well as some people in this room, but I disagree with some of the things in this. Correct.
Sam Mirjavski
No.
John
The executive order you released in July. How will this one that you're writing this week be different?
Donald Trump
I think it'll be more comprehensive. That was put out as a test, as a, you know, feeler. This will be much more comprehensive because we've all learned a lot in the last pretty long period of time, six months or so period of time. I think. I think we can do a very good document. I think we could do a document that works from a common sense standpoint. Whether or not it's going to hold up in court, who knows? Honestly, it will depend on the judge. Maybe we'll get a wise judge. There are wise judges, too. We got some very brilliant wise judges. Maybe we'll get lucky.
Amanda
Why weren't there any two last nights in the room?
Congressman Ralph Norman
Why aren't there any student athletes in the room?
Donald Trump
Do you want to answer that question? Randy?
John
We've made it clear, and I thought I said it before, that we have agents here. There are a lot of student athlete groups. There's a limited room here. And after this meeting, we intend to talk to all of the interested student athlete groups to get their input, because this can't be done without them. But at the end of the day, we had to kick this off and start it. This is the beginning. This isn't the end. I've talked to a lot of people who represent student athletes, and, you know, there are certain interest groups that I'm sure would have liked to be here, but they'll have their opportunity.
Donald Trump
They're very well represented. You know why? Because people like Nick Saban and Urban Meyers and some of the people, all the people that I know in the room and the people probably that I don't know, they all care very much about the student athlete more so than they care about themselves. So I think they're really here in that sense. They're represented very well. Peter, I'll give you one more chance because that was a bad question you asked before. Go ahead.
Sam Mirjavski
We've already got a lot of sound bites.
Donald Trump
Leave him about the sports.
Steve Hilton
Can I ask one. Off topic, on topic, on topic.
Sam Mirjavski
Okay.
Donald Trump
Which is unusual for you.
John
Thank you. What is motivating you to do this right now?
Sam Mirjavski
Because there is a lot of other
Donald Trump
stuff going on in the world right that's right. There's a lot. We're doing very, by the way, in Iran. We're doing very well. Somebody said, how would you score it from 0 to 10? I said, I'd give it a 12 to a 15. Their army is gone. They're just about. Look, their navy is gone. Their communications are gone. Their leaders are gone. Two sets of their leaders are gone. They're down to their third set. Their air forces wiped out entirely. Think of it, they have 32 ships. All 32 are at the bottom of the ocean. Other than that, they're doing very well, coach. Very well. We're doing. Our military is doing phenomenally. That's the big thing for this week. We seem to have a new thing every week. But the situation with a very bad and very sick group of leaders who were killing a lot of people. A lot of our people were being killed, they were being maimed, they were being destroyed with their bombs all over the place, planted in roads and we call them the roadside bombs. Walking around without legs, without arms, face blasted, killed many, many people. And we had a choice. We could take it and go on like that for years or do something about it. And we did something about it. And people are very impressed with our military and they admire our military. With what happened in Venezuela, what's happening now, what's happened with the B2 bombers before this, where they took out the nuclear capability or potential of Iran, I think. I think we're right now we're a country that's more respected than we've ever been respected before. I saw what was happening with college sports and it doesn't sound very important compared to what's happening in Iran and other places. But it is very important to me. And if I can get it done, I'll get it done. Through bad. Through a bad system. It's a bad system. Through a bad legal system. You want to know the truth? We have a situation that is almost unsolvable and we'll see if we can solve it. And you know, Peter, the fact is we're talking about colleges that are going to go out of business by many, many colleges are going to be out of business. This isn't just about student athletes. This is about our whole educational system is going to go out of business because of this. So I understand what you're saying in terms of the level of importance, but to me, this is very important. Very, very important. Thank you. Okay, thank you all very much. Thank you.
John
Thank you, Mr. President.
Donald Trump
Thank you.
John
Thank you. Welcome back, everybody. You've Been watching President Trump host a very special event, unprecedented, I think, in White House history, an entire forum on figuring out how they can save college sports from its current economic crisis. Since the moment players began getting paid, imbalances and great concerns have emerged all across the country. The President issued a July order to try to start the ball rolling. Today he announced that he's going to do a much more substantive fix to college sports through executive order, hoping to prod Congress in the right direction. Some college greats in the room, the great college football coach Nick Saban among them. The head says our, says our Auburn girl here, also the head of the ncaa, the main conference for sports and college football, college basketball, the great sports. A lot more coming ahead. But we've had a guest waiting in the wings. He represents the great state of South Carolina. He always lights it up when he comes on our show. And right now he's one of the leading candidates for governor of South Carolina. He's our good friend, Congressman Ralph Norman. Sir, good to have you on the show.
Donald Trump
Great to be with you.
Congressman Ralph Norman
John and Amanda, always enjoy it.
John
It's an amazing thing. And I actually thought that Pete's question at the end of the conference was interesting because the President has a million things on his plate. Iran and Cuba and Venezuela and the economy and the border and crime. And yet he takes time to make sure that the next generation of students have an economic system that will survive whatever's been going on in college sports. Your thoughts on what the President did today?
Congressman Ralph Norman
You know, it just shows you an amazing man. And as I was listening to him, John and Amanda, you know, think about the last four years when you had a president who couldn't read a thank you note from a teleprompter, much less give a coherent news conference. This man is juggling so many things. And I think that why did he bring up the Score act and keeping college sports, you know, in place and colleges, you know, not from going bankrupt? But he nailed the head, nailed it on the head in that he's disappointed in the legal system in this country, the judges, the lawsuits that are sapping this country. And we've got it here in South Carolina. We're going to try to fix where judges pick, where politicians pick judges. But it just shows you his love for America. And he takes all comers. He acts, I guess, is the best thing that I witnessed in this man, which is going to set him apart from presidents that went before him for a long, long time. But he's the president of action and he loves his country. And that includes sports.
Amanda
Yes, sir.
Sam Mirjavski
Yeah.
Amanda
I think he prides himself on the fact that he can walk and chew gum at the same time. And last Friday was a great example. He was enjoying some time with friends at Mar a Lago and said, I got to step and go work. And then he takes out the man who oversaw terrorism that has affected this country for absolutely decades. And I want to ask you on that, because I've heard a lot of Republicans, you included, who have talked about the fact that this conflict with Iran is not the beginning of a war, it is the ending of a war. Were you surprised to find 53 of your Democrat colleagues voting against a bill that would basically affirm Iran's status as the largest state sponsor of terrorism?
Congressman Ralph Norman
Nothing surprises me, Amanda, about, you know, the Democrat Party is off the rails. They are Marxist socialists. They do not love America. You know, they follow lockstep in line with a system that has never worked, which is the socialist system. And, you know, they, you know, it's like when the president during the State of the Union said, stand up if you think the government owes Americans first, legal Americans or illegals. And they didn't stand up. But nothing surprised me about them now. And they're not going to be rewarded by the Americans now because of the ballot box as they paid a price when President Trump was elected. They're going to come to the ballot box again and I think put sane people in office that love the country and are willing to go to work for it.
John
So I want to address another thing that Democrats have to own right now. This morning, there was word that the FBI's, one of the FBI's most sensitive computer systems, may have been hacked, possibly by China. And for 19 days now, the Democrats have kept the Homeland Security Department, and specifically cisa, the cybersecurity infrastructure security agency, dormant because they've shut that agency down over a power struggle. How important is it for Democrats to not allow that to continue? And how big are the threats as long as Homeland Security is not fully operational?
Congressman Ralph Norman
John, the threats we're hearing are real. Not just all over the country, but they're real. And to be willing to sacrifice American lives because they're trying to hijack this country into dismantling a system that, with ICE that has gotten criminals off the street, just shows you they're willing to do anything. And the country doesn't. It doesn't matter. Raw power is all thereafter. And it's a shock that they hadn't come to the table before now. But, you know, this Just, just goes to show how this country has with the Democrat Party is just completely devoid of any love for America or any same thought. And it's a new day in America and we're going to have to realize the evil that's going on and the evil that this party and the members they represent, in most cases, not all of them, but a lot of them just support the evil that's going on in this country. It can't last. They shouldn't be in office.
Amanda
Congressman, as if the taxpayers of this country don't get bled enough for insane expenditures. Your colleague in the Palmetto State, Congressman Jim Clyburn, is trying to get more.
Congressman Ralph Norman
What, Amanda? He's trying to get back pay for, I guess, in his opinion, a good job for America. He's been in office 31 years. He's claiming back pay that he should have had since. That in his mind, should have had since 2009. Based on what? Putting the country in debt? He's one of the biggest spenders in Congress. He's never seen a government program that he hasn't liked. His district, District 6, which I'm going to redistrict when I get to be governor, is in most of the residents live below the poverty line and he has the audacity to want back pay. Steny Hoyer, who is retiring, wants the same thing. These are the two that were added to the lawsuit that they're, they're filing against the taxpayers. It is an insult to the American people what Clyburn represents and what he's doing to this country.
John
That's amazing. Sir, before we let you go, you have a big plan as governor to continue to save money for taxpayers. You just said you're going to read redistrict. Jim Kleinburn's district saving money in this next upcoming budget. Is there a potential for omnibus savings before the election? We got about a minute left, you
Congressman Ralph Norman
know, to get consensus on that. You know, we've only got a one vote majority. Thomas Massey is voting no on pretty much everything, so I doubt it. John. I would, I would hope that we would, but if there's ever a time to save and show the American people we're representing them, it's now. But I will not hold my breath to see if that has a prayer of passing.
John
Yeah, about the math of just the caucus is so tight right now. Sir, it's always a great honor to see you on the show. You always come answer our questions and make us a lot wiser for it. We appreciate it so much. Have a great week. And thanks for joining us.
Congressman Ralph Norman
My honor. Thank both of you.
John
Yeah, thank you so much. All right, folks, we're taking a quick commercial break. When we come back, one of the leading candidates for governor, California. Oh wait, he's a Republican. I bet you didn't expect that. He's here to join us. Steve Kennedy, Steve Felton, up next right after these messages.

Davis from Are youe a Charlotte Podcast. I just had the most epic girls day cruising around LA with my friend Heather Graham. And thanks to Hyundai, we even recorded a special episode for you. Yes, I have a good 90s story of Fred Siegel.
Steve Toth
What?
Kristen Davis
I saw Alanis Morissette there one time.
Amanda
It was so exciting.
Kristen Davis
I was with my girlfriend Melanie.
Amanda
She saw you, so that's like good.
Kristen Davis
She was very. It was like the height of Alanis time and she was with this beautiful man. And I had a golden retriever puppy and the beautiful man wanted to say hi to the golden retriever puppy. We were eating at that little cafe there at the Santa Monica one and and Alanis hung back in a way that made me wonder what was happening. Like who wouldn't want to pet this beautiful puppy.
Amanda
I was like, oh my God, it's Alanis.
Kristen Davis
And then I was like, try to breathe, try to breathe, try to breathe because I love her so much. My new episode is out now, presented by the all new Hyundai Palisade hybrid make every day epic.
Amanda
Welcome back everybody to just the news and no noise. The chances of the Democrats being shut out of California's. Yes, California's gubernatorial race is now a real possibility due to a huge number of Democrat candidates who risk splitting that vote under their jungle primary system. So joining us now to give us some insight into this race is gubernatorial candidate for California, Steve Hilton. Steve, welcome to the show.
Steve Hilton
Great to be with you.
Amanda
I have seen some very intriguing polling lately that has you at the top. But not only that, Steve, I see videos of you traversing California talking to voters in such a no nonsense, common sense way. And it seems like voters are hearing your message and they are, they are really, really favorable to it.
Steve Hilton
Yeah, it's really interesting and very exciting to see because I know a lot of people who, you know, outside California think of this state as so deep blue Democrat, nothing can do. Gonna be Democratic Democrats forever. I think that really is changing because it's such a disaster. After 16 years of one party rule, literally everything is going in the wrong direction. We were the worst performing state. This is why it's so laughable when you were Gavin Newsom running around saying, make me president. He's the most useless governor in America. That's what I call him. Mugger. The most useless governor in America right now in California, we have the highest poverty rate in the country, the highest unemployment rate, the highest cost of living, everything. Gas, electric, water, insurance, housing, everything. The most expensive. US News and World Report ranks California 50th out of 50 for opportunity, Wallet Hub, 50th out of 54. Affordability, Chief Executive Magazine 50th out of 50 for business climate, on and on. It's just a disaster. And so what you're seeing is people just responding exactly as you say. Very clear, simple message. We can't go on like this. It's time for change. The best example was the first TV debate. That was a couple of weeks ago. Statewide TV audience. It was me against six Democrats. They did a poll across the state, not a Republican audience. Who won the debate, who made the best impression. Two of the Democrats got zero. The rest were in single digits, apart from one who was on 17%. I won with 66%. 66%. All I did was tell the truth that this is a disaster and we can't go on like this. It's time for change.
John
Yeah, I think one of the things, and I was out in California a few weeks ago and people said we're tired of the plastic politics you can smile and look great, but if you're not telling us the truth, and we know what you're saying isn't true, because our wallet, our dinner table, our kids tell us it isn't true, it's time to end that. Is this that moment where you get that backlash? And I think there's two potential here, right? Democrats stay home because they just don't like what they've had, and conservatives get excited and come out. What's it going to take to get a Republican governor in November?
Steve Hilton
Well, you put your finger on it, John. It's all about the turnout. That's always the case in a midterm election. I just want to give you a number that's really important for people to understand why this is a possibility. So if you look at the an estimate for the total number of votes in California in the general election this year, based on the average of the last two, you get a number of 11.7 million votes. So to win, I'll need, let's just call it just over half of that, 5.9 million. When people say there aren't enough Republican votes, President Trump in California in 2024, without even campaigning here or spending do, they weren't targeting California. He got 6.1 million votes. In other words, there are enough votes. We just got to get them to turn out. And there's a really big advantage we have this year. And it was just confirmed this week, two days ago, that we've collected enough signatures to get voter ID on the ballot. It's going to be on the ballot in November. That is huge, because voter id, of course, as we know, it's got broad support. It's a majority for it even in California among Democrats as well. But it's Republicans who really are enthusiastic about voter id, obviously, because it helps stop the cheating. But actually it's a massive turnout driver as well. So that's going to be a big factor this November. That's why I'm really confident we can do it. And then the final point is just look at their candidates. I mean, as the president might say, they're not sending their best. I mean, the people they're putting up. You got what Eric Swalwell, Katie Porter, the billionaire climate fanatic Tom Steyer. It's a joke.
John
Yeah.
Amanda
Don't cook mashed potatoes around Katie Porter. That's the only advice I can give. I want to ask you, I hear a lot of people say, okay, well, even if Steve Hilton wins governor, you've still got a solid blue majority of Democrats in Sacramento. So nothing's going to get done. But particularly with respect to two major things, water rights and gas prices. That's not true.
Steve Hilton
Not true. And it's actually those two are really good examples of if you know what you're doing and you understand how government works and how to make changes, you can make a big different. So let's just start on water. Like, even without building any new water infrastructure in California, by making appointments to the State Water Resources Control Board and the Secretary for Natural Resources, by the way, I'm about to announce my appointee for that next week. And then what you have to do specifically is delete these biological opinions that were written over the last few years, which direct the existing water that we have from the storage that we have instead of being sent to our farmers and to the to domestic use, it's being flushed out into the ocean in the name of saving the delta smell. That's as President Trump told that story. He's absolutely right. You can reverse that through executive action and administrative appointments. And the same is true when you come to gas prices. Because the main reason we have such high gas prices, the highest in the country even than Hawaii in the middle of the Pacific Ocean, even though we have abundant oil reserves, is because of Gavin Newsom's insane climate agenda, which has been shutting down California domestic production. So we are now importing nearly 80% of our oil. Our top provider of oil right now, unbelievably, is Iraq. We're shipping it halfway across the world in giant supertankers, spewing out carbon emissions in the name of climate. Now, you can reverse that, because that hasn't been done through the legislature. That's been done through another agency of the state government, CalGEM, California Department of Geologic and Energy Management. So you've got to kick out the climate fanatics from there. Put in common sense pro energy people, tell them to issue the permits for drilling, for maintaining existing wells, expanding them, and drilling new wells in existing fields. And when we do that, we think we can double California oil production every two years. Could do that directly. As the governor, one of the things
John
that I've always learned in the years I've covered politics is that there's two things you'd like to count. One is ballots. Always. But at the end of the day, feet when people start leaving a state, it's usually a precursor of a major disruption in politics. The flight from California. I meet more people that proudly tell me they're a California expat than I've ever met in Any other, My current host in Coyote right here, she moved to Washington D.C. that's how bad it is. That flight may be a sign of something else going on in the state. What do you see in that flight and is it reversible?
Steve Hilton
Well, it's entirely driven by how. What a nightmare it is. You know, just a regular working family or you're trying to run a small business. You know, that's why my parents are, were Hungarian immigrants, grew up in the UK in a regular working class family. And I really understand that experience here. And for those people, it's just so impossible. Everything's so expensive. You try running a small business in California. I used to run small businesses to run restaurants. It's a nightmare. That's why people are leaving. And it's just. And it's every. It's a combination of the cost of everything, the taxes, the headaches, the endless bureaucracy and harassment of business. And actually you're seeing, seeing not just businesses leaving, but new businesses that should be being set up in California. They're not coming here. They're going to places like, you know, Nashville or Austin or Miami and, you know, places that are welcoming. But the good news is we've got such great advantages in California. You've got to work really hard to drive people out of a state as beautiful as this one. And of course that's what they've been doing, but we can turn it around very quickly, actually. And because people basically want to be. I meet people all the time, they say, I'm looking at property, I'm thinking of moving. And I just say, give me nine months by November if I can pull this off, there's a reason to stay because we can make the changes that we need to make this the kind of place where you want to live. And it's not such a struggle all the time.
Amanda
Yeah, that's it, Steve. What we know about spending in California is bad enough, but also what we don't know about spending in California is even worse when it comes to corruption. I know you've got some ideas about what to do as governor, some DOGE type movements to root out corruption.
Steve Hilton
Well, we actually set up some. This is part of why I think we can do this. And I'm approaching it in a very serious manner. I was just campaigning all over the state and setting out the specific policies and plans that I can implement. $3 gas, cut your electric bills in half, your first hundred grand tax free. No more free health care for illegal immigrants so we can lower health care costs for Californians. A home you can afford to buy. Very simple, positive, practical things. But also in order to cut taxes, we have to cut spending. And that's why we've got to go after the fraud and the waste and the abuse. So I did set up in California about a month ago now, Cal Dosh, we're calling it the California Department of Government Officials. Obviously we're not elected yet. So this is a team of volunteers. We are already finding this stuff. It's just unbelievable. Just on Friday, our second fraud report was published last week. This is a billion dollars, $1 billion over the last 10 years that was taken from gas tax and electric bill surcharges for climate that's supposed to be spent on installing solar panels on the roofs of low income apartment buildings. Of that $1 billion, only 72 million was actually spent on that. We found 928 million, nearly a billion going diverted into slosh funds for Democrat organizations to do all the usual nonsense, voter registration, activism in the community, environmental justice, all these things to build their political machine. And we are really getting into it. We're going to be finding this and with my running mates, which had never been done before for a governor candidate, to put together a team of other statewide candidates, my running mate for attorney general, Michael Gates, fantastic fighter, is going to be prosecuting it and we're going to get the money back and then hand it back to taxpayers. That's the plan.
Amanda
Absolutely incredible. If you live in California, go to Steve HiltonForGovernor.com even if you don't and you just don't want to see the Golden State go in the absolute gutter, go and check out his website, support him. Steve Hilton. Steve, thanks so much for being with us tonight. Love your ideas.

Fantastic. Great to be with you.
Amanda
Absolutely. All right, everybody, stay tuned because we've got a lot more coming up for you on the other side of this break.

Yes I have a good 90s story of Fred Siegel. What I saw Alanis Morris at the one time it was so exciting. I was with my girlfriend Melanie.
Amanda
She saw you so that's like good.
Kristen Davis
She was very it was like the height of Alanis time and she was with this beautiful man and I had a golden retriever puppy and the beautiful man wanted to say hi to the golden retriever puppy. We were eating at that little cafe there at the Santa Monica one. And Alanis hung back in a way that made me wonder what was happening. Like, who wouldn't want to pet this beautiful puppy?
Amanda
I was like, oh, my God, it's Alanis.
Kristen Davis
And then I was like, try to breathe, try to breathe, try to breathe because I love her so much. My new episode is out now, presented by the all new Hyundai Palisade hybrid. Make every day epic.
John
Welcome back, America. I've been covering politics for about four decades now, and it's a rare moment when an incumbent gets ousted in their own party's primary. And that's exactly what happened in Texas this past weekend. Incumbent Congressman Dan Crenshaw out. And I mean handily thrown out. The man who did that, Steve, to joining us right now. Steve, welcome back to the show. Congratulations on a big winner.
Steve Toth
Thanks, guys. Appreciate it. Great to be with you.
Congressman Ralph Norman
All right.
John
I think voters sent a pretty clear message about what they think about folks who say one thing and then act another way. How do you assess not only your victory, but why ultimately rejected this incumbent congressman?
Steve Toth
You know, it's funny, we, we told everyone up front that this was going to be the outcome. We had done polling all the way back in May and June that showed his unfavorable levels north of 50% in Montgomery county, north of 40% in Harris County. And we said he has no pathway to victory. And they're like, well, he has 98 name ID, Steve. There's no way you can beat him. And I said, yeah, we're going to. And I, in fact, I said we're going to beat him 50 with 57% of the vote. I was wrong. We beat him with 56% of the vote. But, yeah, this was the mess that he created. It seemed like every time he said something or did something, it was detrimental to his campaign, whether it was attacking Sean Ryan or attacking a lot of Trump's donor base. It was just beyond the palace. Stupid. He made every mistake you could make in the book. He created the perfect storm against himself.
Amanda
Yeah, well, and that gave you plenty opportunity to seize on that. But also the people of Texas know you very well. You have been serving folks in the Lone Star State for quite a while. And you're not only a giant slayer, but you are also a, also a budget slasher because when it comes to your opponents in practically every race you've ever run, they've outspent you by a very large margin.
Steve Toth
Yeah. I mean, I have no idea what it's like. You guys would have to Tell me you've talked with the candidates. I don't know what it's like to outspend my opponent. When I came into The House in 2012, we were outspent 10 to 1. This past election, we're outspent by Crenshaw 4 to 1. And it. You can outspend me, but you can't outwork me. You just can't.
John
Yeah, I think people love that, too. I think they're tired of money buying elections. And so when someone comes in with ideas, that's a big part of it. All right, the 2026 election, the general election is going to be, I think, an election won by ideas. In Texas, the standard bearer for the big prize is a Democrat who believes God is non binary and that abortion isn't outlawed in the Bible and that. Well, I can go on and on. There's a whole bunch of, there's six genders. That's going to be an incredible opportunity. What is going to be the Republican message across the board? Why should Republicans come out and vote and make this election very successful for Trump and his team?
Steve Toth
This. I served with James Talarico. He came in in 2019 when I came back to the House. This, you know, it's not hyperbole to say that this is both the most liberal man that has ever run for office in Texas, but to say he is one of the most evil people I have ever rub shoulders with. He is, he has remade himself now to be a woke Presbyterian pastor. Before that, he was this cynical, nasty, angry person from the back microphone that was slaying our efforts to stop critical race theory, to stop the transition of children, to stop the mutilation of, of genitalia by little children, to stop pornography in the schools, to stop, you know, abortion through 11 months, 10 months. This guy is as bad as they come. And we're going to work our tail off to educate the people of Texas as just to who James Talarico really is, because the person that he's portraying himself to be is not who he is.
Amanda
Yeah, I think you'd probably be a good person to ask this because you've seen that political, that campaigning machine from the inside, whether it is Abigail, Abigail Spanberger in Virginia, James Talarico in Texas, we consistently see Democrats campaigning on being a moderate candidate. They don't expose all the funny business until they actually get in office. So why, why do they do the funny business when they get in office if they know that it's not what's being sold and bought by. I mean, it's not popular with their constituents, which is why they have to fake it.
Steve Toth
Right. And that's it exactly. You've got to. James has got to present himself as the ultra leftist to win against Jasmine Crockett. And then he has to present a different person to who he is, to the general election voters, knowing full well that this is Texas. And so he's going to present himself as this center left pastor that, you know, just loves all the children. And because he knows that if he presents anything other than that, he'll be thrown out in Azir. But we're going to get the truth out there. Colin Allred tried this, you know, just a couple years ago when he ran for Congress against Ted Cruz. We exposed who he really was and Cruz went on to victory. And we're going to do the same thing with James Talarico. We're going to out him for the, for the liberal that he is.
John
There's plenty of material to work on where they are. There's no doubt about it. Steve, before we let you go, I want to ask a little bit about unfinished business. The Trumpet administration has gotten an extraordinary amount done in the first 15 months. Peace across the world, border secured, better economy, less taxes for the working class. But there are a couple of big agenda items that I think the base is hoping get done between now and election day. One of those is election integrity, the Save America act and getting voter ID citizenship checks. The other is showing some real progress in cutting spending, something that you've been a champion of, and really not only a champion, but an effective person of getting done. How important is that to motivating the base? And do you see a path to both of those getting achieved before November?
Steve Toth
I want to express my gratitude for the leadership and the selflessness that Ken Paxton is showing right now. Ken has said if we're going to save, if we're going to save this nation, we're going to have to pass Save America Act. And Ken has gone so far as to say, look, I'll step out of this thing. I'll step out of the arena. I'll just give it to John Cornyn. If Thune will push this thing through the Senate by allowing an up and down vote, by making the filibuster work the way it was intended to work by our founding fathers, where you stand in the well of the Senate and you argue your case until you physically can't stand anymore, and after that, then there's an up and down vote. That's the way it should be done. The United States should not be held captive by, you know, a few Liberals in Washington, D.C. that's not what the founding fathers had intended for this to be. And thune needs to do the right thing and allow for a vote in the Senate. Ken's trying to do the right thing, the stand up thing, by saying allow this vote and I'll step away and John Cornyn can have it. That's a selfless person. Those are the kind of people that we need to elect.
John
An extraordinary moment this week and it's really caught Washington by surprise. We're not used to selfless politicians in Washington, so it's a pretty exciting thing. Steve, before we let you go, for folks who are excited about your campaign, what's the best way for them to stay in touch and get involved?
Steve Toth
Real easy. And we do need your help. We've got a big general election coming up in November. Steve Toth for Congress, all spelled out.
John
SteveToThorCongress.com Congratulations on the biggest giant slayer of the night this past primary. Good to have you on today. Thanks so much. What a great talk.
Steve Toth
God bless you.
John
Back at you. Thanks so much. All right, coming up next, more on elections in California because even in that deep blue state, a majority of Californians support voter ID and they just got it on the bell. That's a big story. Have that next with Sam Rajowski right after this.

Welcome back everybody to just the news. No noise. As we discussed yesterday, Democrat Party chair Rusty Hicks is making an unusual call for Democrats who have essentially who have no chance of winning, to withdraw from the race in California. Now, with the midterm elections on the way, a petition pushing for voter ID requirements in that state has surpassed the needed number of signatures to make it onto the November ballot. So according to Reform California, it's a nonpartisan political activism group, a significant majority of Californians support the idea of voter id, just like the rest of the country. So what might the future hold for California if a Republican wins the governor's race and the voter ID law gets passed? Joining us to discuss this and more is legal expert, conservative commentator and host of what's Right show Sam Mirjavski. Sam, great. Great to have you.
Sam Mirjavski
Great to see you, Amanda. John, great to be with you.
Amanda
So Sam, I know a lot of people out there think it's impossible for a Republican to win govern possible for voter ID to pass in California. But I feel like Californians, especially With the taxes, you got millionaires and billionaires leaving the state left and right. Pacific Palisades, fire, water rights issues, utility bills. The list goes on and on and on. And maybe things are bad enough that people might want to change. Do you think?
Sam Mirjavski
I think it's possible. And so I think there's two components to this, right? You've got this, this, this very interesting primary shaping up because it's the top two. A primary, a jungle primary. And that right now favors the Republicans because of how crowded the Democratic field is. And the separate issue is, as you correctly point out, that after decades of Democrat rule, California is completely on the ropes. And everywhere you look, whether it's in Sacramento, Louisiana, San Francisco, a great state once great cities are all being basically run into the toilet. So I'm watching this very closely and I think there's a chance actually of a Republican winning in November.
John
Pretty amazing. Yeah. I mean, you got two right at the top right now. It's kind of interesting you could end up with two Republicans as the final ticket if the poll stayed that way. Let me ask you a little bit about what's pending before the Supreme Court, because I suspect that the Supreme Court could have the most profound impact on the 2026 election. You've got the Mississippi case, no counting ballots after election day. Louisiana case, no racial gerrymandered districts, which would affect about 29 districts across the country that are blue districts right now. And then there's another one coming up that was started by the Missouri AG weeks ago that says that you cannot count illegal aliens towards apportionment representation or federal fund distribution. Those three cases are at the heart of the Democratic strategy. Where do you think the court comes down on them?
Sam Mirjavski
Well, I could see them actually all being decided in favor of my position on these cases. A more Republican conservative position, one that would clean up our elections. The Louisiana case is interesting because I was listening to those arguments there and it really sounded to me that the justices were persuaded. The arguments against gerrymandered, racially gerrymandered districts, you know, they were, it seemed that they were going to rule against those districts, which surprised me, actually. So, you know, here's, here's the important thing. In states like California, the, the, the question of using illegal immigrants for apportionment is. So it's, that is the most critical issue because they, they are absolutely. And have, have tried every bit to have as many illegal immigrants brough in order to boost those blue districts. And you know, you count the people, you get more representation, you get More congressional districts that could cost that one case alone could, at a minimum, cost the Democrats 15 districts nationally. Some have estimated as high as 35. I mean, it's wild. So, you know, expect fireworks here from the Supreme Court. You know, it's always a, it's always a toss up. But these cases, in particular, the apportionment case, are just, are critical and everybody's watching it.
Kristen Davis
Yeah.
Amanda
Sam, I want to widen the lens and look at some other issues that affect the country. We saw on Capitol Hill yesterday dozens of Democrats who voted against the resolution that would have officially designated Iran as the largest state sponsor of, of terrorism. And, you know, we've all seen the polling. We know what it looks like as far as President Trump's support for striking Iran. But I found it amazing that there were 53 Democrats who were willing to say, no, we disagree on this.
Sam Mirjavski
Well, I'm not surprised in the least. And one of the most astonishing things, when, you know, our military, jointly working with Israel, took out the Ayatollah a week ago Saturday, and all of a sudden, you know, there was an outpouring of support for this guy from all corners of the Democratic Party online. I was astonished. Right. And here's the thing. There are people in government and there are influencers in the Democratic Party, supporters of the Democratic Party who stand behind this despicable regime. And I think, because, because obviously Democratic Party has become so pro Palestine, so actually pro terrorist, sees this as some sort of a Marxist struggle, you know, the little guy against the big guy. They've somehow decided that Israel's, you know, the evil regime in the region, and it's just so revisionist. It's so wrong. It's wild. But, you know, I mean, but even some people on our side are saying similar things, too. But the Democrats have really gone too far with this. And I think it's at odds with where the American people are.
John
Yeah, there seems to be that disconnect across so many different issues. Before we let you go, there is growing evidence that nonprofit groups in America are fomenting a lot of the violence, obstruction of ice, the training of children to go out and treat and harm law enforcement officers in various disputes. The idea that the tax code is used to denigrate America or to create harm to law enforcement or to create obstruction seems to. Seems counterproductive to the reason we created the tax exemptions, which is for the public good. Is there a moment ahead where this administration, this irs, this Justice Department, begins revoking those?
Sam Mirjavski
I absolutely believe that to be the case Remember when the first riots broke out last year against ice demonstrations, riots really, in Los Angeles. And I don't know if you guys remember the pallets of cinder block that were delivered, tightly packaged, wrapped up to the scene of those riots. And those cinder blocks were used, they were thrown at CHP officers, at federal officers, I mean, just horrid scenes. You know, it's very easy. And as an attorney, it's the easiest thing to prove is a financial crime. And what I expect the Trump administration to do is they're gonna come in and meticulously follow the money because all of those materials, all that, that came from somewhere, someone funded it. And whether the road leads to Arabella advisors or it leads to Soros, or at least it leads to other people who we may not even be aware of, the point is it's discoverable, it's provable, and if there is knowledge of what this money is going to be used for, and certainly I think that could be established as well, then all of a sudden you can start bringing criminal prosecutions. And I think that the Trump administration absolutely has an appetite for the this and they ought to proceed with it. Yeah.
Amanda
Time is right. Legal expert, conservative commentator and host of what's Right show, Sam Mierjovsky. Sam, great to see you. Thanks for being with us tonight.
Sam Mirjavski
Thanks for having me.
Amanda
Absolutely. All right, everybody. And coming up next, Under Secretary Sarah Rogers exposed the Biden era State Department spending when asked, how do you make a map more gay? Yep, we're going to talk about that on the other side. Welcome back, everybody. All right, we're going to start off with something that I teased before we came into the commercial break. This is Sarah B. Rogers. You guys have to watch this clip. This is absolutely remarkable. John, you're to get a hoot out of this. Check in.
Steve Hilton
Can you tell me what is querying the map?
Amanda
So I think we were trying to make the maps more gay.
Sam Mirjavski
Literally.
Amanda
Well, I.
John
How do you make a map more gay?
Amanda
I mean, especially.
John
Or gay at all.
Amanda
You know, since the age of cartography, we've had pretty good maps, but maybe they weren't gay enough. So I know also I took Critical theory in college. I think sometimes people use queer as a verb.
Kristen Davis
I do understand that the maps that we were trying to make gay were,
Amanda
I think of Czechia and Slovakia. So maybe those countries asked for it. I doubt it, but I don't know, John, Maybe to make a map gayer, you have to sprinkle it with glitter.
John
I literally don't know. Listen, you know who Gets at the end of the day, who got fleece sentence to the taxpayers. We paid for that. We gave a grant to make a European map more queer. I just don't get it. I mean, that's why we're heading towards $3 trillion a year in debt. It's just increased debt every year deficit. There's just no respect from the taxpayer.
Amanda
And, you know, I see, I saw a guy on the metro the other day carrying like a canvas bag that said usaid. And the sad reality is that since the beginning of President Trump's second term with Doge, USAID has become synonymous with wasting money and dumping it into garbage like this. And that's kind of what the Biden administration did for four years.
John
And quite frankly, spending hasn't been cut that much. Listen, there's a lot of things, as we, as you mentioned with Steve Schultz, it's one of the unfinished things. And I do think it's something that keeps people home in the fall if they don't get something done.
Amanda
Yep, yep. Okie dokie. So a lot of you are probably familiar with the GLAAD Awards and Jennifer Welch, she is a very, very liberal video podcaster. And she was there and she had a message at that ceremony, classy as always.
Kristen Davis
And I want to say something with my full chest.
Sam Mirjavski
Never obey in advance.
Kristen Davis
That's guys, Donald Trump, free Palestine and save trans kids.
Amanda
John, you know what's really become sad to me about just culture in general, but Hollywood, the music industry, fashion industry and all of that. It used to be cool to be edgy and somewhat contrarian, but now everyone just says the same thing. And it's all of that garbage that she just said. There's nothing courageous about that. There's nothing edgy about.
Sam Mirjavski
About it.
John
Apparently it's cool to be stupid in Hollywood. I just don't know. I mean, I never heard of the woman, and now I know why. I mean, there's not a whole lot there to spend time.
Amanda
You recognize her face, Unfortunately.
John
I would.
Steve Toth
Yeah.
Amanda
Well, she does. Plenty of hits out there.
John
Yeah, yeah. No, it's the. The left just keeps moving further and further. Left us. I just saw a video today of some teachers weaponizing children to go out and hate ice during class time, during official school time, literally getting training from people who come out of the antifa movement. They were brought into the classroom. It is extraordinary. But these people, they keep moving further to the left, and they're coming for your and mine, everyone else's children. That's their goal.
Amanda
Well, and John, this was Something that you and I discussed yesterday before I wrote my. Well, actually day before yesterday, when President Trump retweeted the article about influencers losing influence because of, you know, they've become wishy washy or they've moved over to the other side and anti Semitic. Yeah, you brought up a great point, which is, you know, these, these folks who at one time were maga, they were Trump supporters, they supported Israel, they were in the same classrooms as the kids who have always been anti Israel and anti Maga. And now, you know, that's always just been a seed in their brain. And here it is.
John
That's why what's going on in the school system is the number one big thing. And you know why? Youngkin? I think there's a moment now where American people feel like, well, we fix this. And the answer is, is you haven't. If you're not watching your kids classroom now, like you started to watch during the pandemic when they were home, you're missing what they're going on. There are antifa people coming into their schools and teaching them hatred. There are anti Americanism lessons going on on this, the 250th anniversary of our great new founding. Anti Americanism, anti Semitism, hatred, intolerance. That's what's going on.
Amanda
Yeah. And it's disheartening to see because there is this.
John
The battles in the schoolroom.
Amanda
Yeah. I was talking to someone earlier, talking about. About these fringe elements of the left, a party just like Republicans, who used to stand with Israel and with Jewish Americans. And unfortunately, it's not so fringe on the left anymore. It's fringe across the country, but not for the Democrat Party.
John
You got that right.
Amanda
Very, very sad to see. All right, everybody, we appreciate you being with us this week. We're going to be back here on Monday at the same time, same place. That is 6pm Eastern here on Real America's Place.
