Good evening America and welcome to the Tuesday edition of Just the News. No noise. I'm your host John Solomon reporting to you as always from the nation's capital, Washington, D.C. now, before we get into tonight's show, a quick programming note. In just about a half hour, we'll be throwing you out to Indiana University where Tucker Carlson is set to speak at the latest Turning Point USA campus event. It's all brought to you by our good friends at Patriot Mobile. So make sure you stay with us to watch that. It's going to be an incredible event. Always interested to hear what Tucker has to say. Now onto today's headlines and we'll first start right here in Washington, D.C. where House Judiciary Committee Chairman Jim Jordan has now referred former CIA Director John Brennan to the DOJ for potential criminal prosecution over his House testimony. Now this sounds familiar. It's because that's what we wrote about a couple of months ago. The chairman today confirming he believes that the testimony may be criminal and false in nature and must be prosecuted. This testimony occurred in 2023. Chairman Jordan alleged, like our story said, that Brendan made numerous willfully and intentionally false statements of material fact and that those statements were contradicted by the House Permanent Select Committee on Intelligence and the CIA when they released documents earlier this summer that was the basis of the Justin News reporting. In his letter to Attorney General Pam Bondi, Chairman Jordan used the example that Brennan asserted the CIA relied on the Steele dossier in their post2016 election intelligence committee assessment. Jordan also said in a press release announcing the DOJ referral that Brennan falsely testified when he told the committee that the CIA opposed including the CIA Steele dossier in the intelligence community assessment that that wasn't true. All right, well, now let's turn to some more news involving Israel and hamas. Vice President J.D. vance made the trip to Israel where this morning he announced the opening of a new U. S. Israel civilian military cooperation center to rebuild Gaza. This comes after renewed tensions seem to threaten the ceasefire for A moment. But things have calmed down a little bit in the Middle East. That's a big deal. And one more headline before I throw it to my amazing co host, Amanda had. Just a little bit ago, the state of Texas announced that it used a new database that the Trump administration has made available to states. It's called the Save database. It allows states to quickly look up who's on their voter rolls and whether they're citizens. Texas, which has a lot of good election integrity laws, found more than 2700 potential non citizens still made it on their voter rolls. That is an eye popping number for a state with strong integrity measures already in place. A reminder that it's probably a lot worse in places like California, where Amanda lives. Amanda, I want to bring you in today to ask you about that. It was pretty credible to find out that Texas, despite all of its protections, still may have had 2700 non citizens on their voter rolls.
Amanda Head
Absolutely. And I think that they might be clean compared to a lot of states across this country like the one that I am sitting in right now. Boy, if they give that Texas treatment to California, I think they're going to lose a lot more congressional seats than they have in the past. John, I want to show a few clips tonight, one of which you all are probably wondering because we're chilling at, I think, day 21 of the government shutdown. So you might be wondering who's going to waiver, who's going to cave, who's waffling back and forth. Well, it isn't the President because he spoke in the Rose Garden earlier today and he said that Republicans are not going to be extorted by Democrats. Check this out.
Donald Trump (voice clips)
From the beginning, our message has been very simple. We will not be extorted on this crazy plot of theirs. They've never done this before. Nobody has. You always vote for an extension. Chuck Schumer and the Senate Democrats need to vote for the clean, bipartisan CR& reopen our government. It's got to be reopened right now.
Amanda Head
And of course, Democrats have voted many, many times in the past for a cr. So take that for what it's worth. Okay. Many of you have heard my description of the press briefing room at the White House. I use a description from Star wars that the closer it gets to the briefing time in that very, very small room, it starts to feel like the trash compactor scene on Star Wars. And I'm not calling people in that room trash. I'm just saying that's the limited space as it gets closer to time. Well, President Trump used a Star wars reference today when he was referring to OMB Director Russ Vogt, who, as many of you, is champing at the bit to reduce the federal workforce in order to save Americans their good taxpayer money. So check this out.
Donald Trump (voice clips)
We have Darth Vader. You know Darth Vader, right? Darth Vader is a man who I think I sitting right. Is that Darth, stand up, please. Darth Vader, stand up. Does everybody know this is. They call him Darth Vader. I call him a fine man, but he's cutting Democrat priorities and they're never going to get him back.
Amanda Head
So joining us tonight to start off the show, someone to discuss that and the prospect of the government reopening anytime soon. Let's hope he represents the great state of Utah. He's also a former NFL player and super bowl champ. I'm, of course, talking about Congressman Burgess Owens. Congressman, thanks so much for being here.
Congressman Burgess Owens
Thank you, Amanda. John, looking forward to chatting with you guys. For sure, sir.
Amanda Head
You know, from the Democrats perspective, they had these no Kings protests over the weekend. Some, some might refer to them as tantrums because they were out there speaking to these crowds and protesting with them, wearing their fun little shirts and having their fun little signs. Does it feel to you like maybe since they got that out of their system that they're a little bit more willing to come to the table, or is this going to stretch all the way to Turkey Day?
Congressman Burgess Owens
Well, you know, first of all, what you see here is a total lack of wisdom, total lack of insight and total lack of concern about their constituents. You know, one thing about the Democratic Party, I've seen this for the last 40 years. What they're really good at is, I call it use, abuse and discard those who really depend on them, those who believe in them. They did it to the black community for decades. You saw back in 2018 when the DACA kids were trying to get a pathway to citizenship and President Trump doubled the numbers to 1.8 million. All they had to do is close the border and do some of the things that he wanted to have done to make sure we had some vetting done. They said no to that. And therefore, the DACA conversation is going away right now. They're actually putting at risk these federal workers because unlike the past, what the president is going to do this time is it's not going to be paid time off when you go, when you leave this time called rifle, they will not be coming back. So it is amazing how little the Democrats really care about their own Constituents, it's going to come back on them because folks will be upset once they understand that their lives have been put at risk because of these political games that they want to play.
John Solomon
Congressman, I want to talk about some comments that the minority leader, Mr. Jeffries, made suggesting that voting to give troops their pay during the shutdown was a political ploy. It seems pretty tone deaf to most Americans who think paying our troops because they're keeping us safe is a good idea. Your thoughts on the disconnect between leadership of the Democratic Party and the American people?
Congressman Burgess Owens
You know, we're looking at folks that are not very smart and I'm seeing that even in terms of who they're dealing with. You know, President Trump is an expert. He's a genius when it comes down to, to negotiating for business and make sure it's a win win. In this case, it's almost like kindergarten kids against an all pro. And they don't get it. They think they're still dealing with Republicans of old. So no, they're saying the wrong things. They're saying what's been scripted. It doesn't make any sense because it doesn't tie into what the reality is right now. And they're dealing with someone who understands, first of all, number one, what is best for American people and is not going to be held hostage. It's just not President Trump. That's not his personality. So their way, they're playing in a way that they have no idea how the end game is going to be. We'll just see how it works out. But the American people eventually have a much slimmer government, much more effective government. And it's all because they're playing games with folks lives right now. That's not going to work out well for them.
Amanda Head
Well, and Congressman, you look at Democrats antics and the way that they are being received by the constituents that you just spoke of. I mean, you've got this new poll that shows that 64% of Americans, a vast majority, not even a plurality, a majority, use the word weak to describe Democrats. Not much better at 46%. They consider them extreme. And this is happening over the course of the shutdown. This is not a poll from, from, you know, a month ago prior to the shutdown. So how do Democrats pivot without ticking off that most progressive wing that it appears that's who they're appeasing right now?
Congressman Burgess Owens
It is the most progressive wing that has no heart. There's a godless wing of their party. So it doesn't really care about people. I'll Say this, what happened to me 40 years ago, and I realized the Democratic Party at that time was not in favor of my race moving forward, of being educated, of having opportunities. That pain was there was their end game. What's happening right now is that a lot of the folks are realizing that. And once we see it, once we understand that we wantthey're using, abusing and discarding us, we're just not going to come back. I think what's happening right now, you have a remarkable transfer of allegiance, maybe not to Republican Party, but to independents that began to look at what's best for me right now. And the Democratic Party is not giving them the answers they need. I think they're going to lose more and more power as time goes on, as America becomes even more patriotic, young people excited about what we're getting done and we get more people educated. So I think we're at a very remarkable time in history. They're going to start looking forward to just how bad they have done and how, how well the message of America first is coming through right now.
John Solomon
Yeah. So remarkable. So I know you're also a big advocate for election integrity. State has pretty good election integrity laws already. But Texas acknowledging today, despite all of its great protections that it already has for its elections, as many as 2700 non citizens may have still made it onto the voter rolls. The reason they were able to find out about that is because President Trump has made available this database, the same database, to make it simple to find potential noncitizens who accidentally or intentionally try to get on the rolls. What's your reaction to their finding and should all states be using this database mandatorily?
Congressman Burgess Owens
Well, keep in mind, we're only nine months in what President Trump, again, he's a business man. He's all about return on investment. He's all about also making sure that we have some called rule of law, rule of law, and that American people are coming first. So we're not surprised by what they're finding. The key is right now accountability for those who have done this to us over the last four years, plus, and once that starts to happen, America's people again, the hope, the dreams, the reality. We're back into a country now that we can really predict our future because we can predict, you know, the rules. It's going to be a very, very exciting thing to have happen. And I'm just excited about what we're not talking about nine months, but 12 and 18. What's going to happen in our country by that time. By the time we get to this next election period, the amount of people are going to be very, very excited to continue this process moving forward.
Amanda Head
Well, and Congressman, you highlighted something that actually is a concern for me going forward. When the youngest Americans grow up, you've got 60% of Democrats under 30 who believe they flat out support violence to stop these deportations. That is, that is a faction of Americans that is diametrically opposed to the First Amendment because the First Amendment allows for free speech. It allows for their protest, but it does not allow for them to be violent. How do we contend with that faction of this country?
Congressman Burgess Owens
We are. We started November of last year ignorant and free can never be. We all know that. And we need to, at this point, start to educate our kids once again about the greatness of our country. We had been sleeping the wheel while Marxists was running our school systems, sending out kids who hated our country without any opportunities of having hope about what we're all about. So that's changing as we speak. We're doing things with this one big, beautiful bill that's going to allow us to have choice across the country. And as we understand more about capitalism, about our American way, about becoming a more perfect union, our kids will grow up a lot more patriotic, more excited about their future, and we're to fight against this evil ideology of Marxism. So we have turned the corner in so many ways, and we're going to be around to kind of say, we were there guys when it happened. So I'm excited about that, too.
John Solomon
So you and I had a great conversation earlier this year. You made some pretty bold predictions we'd have a secure border. We do. You said that gas prices would go down. They're now below $3 for the first time in a very long time. The president's track record of just getting things done, particularly with his allies in Congress, is so strong. Is part of the shutdown just designed to slow down the successes that the American people are starting to feel?
Congressman Burgess Owens
Well, I think that's what the end game was. I think they were trying to push it out to the end of the year so they can talk about Obamacare subsidies. I think that's what they were trying to do. They haven't. Again, they're dealing with President Trump, Donald J. Trump, who's who understands this process and knows how to move things around to make sure the American people are not put through so much pain. So they have miscalculated on this one in a big way. I think what's going to happen, we will shrink the government. President Trump will shrink the government. There will be programs that will never come back. Unfortunately for a lot of federal people who don't understand what the Democrats are party is about, they're going to lose their jobs. It will never come back. And at the end of the day, we also have very strong the bench. Look at the bench that President Trump is putting around him. This is what I'm so excited about. They're all 24 7. They're 24 7. They bring the issues to him. Besides this, it's the executive orders. And they just continue to get our country back in shape. So not only do we have a great president, but we have a great future with the type of people that he surrounds himself with and will continue to surround himself with.
Amanda Head
And a great congressman in Utah named Burgess Owens. Congressman, thanks so much for being with us.
Congressman Burgess Owens
Thank you, guys. All the best.
Amanda Head
Absolutely. All right, everybody. Coming up after the break, we've got deputy assistant to the president. He's also the senior director for counterterrorism at the National Security Council. Dr. Sebastian Gork is returning to the show. So we're going to have that on the other side of this message.
John Solomon

Welcome back, America. As I mentioned, yesterday, was down in Florida over the weekend at the Monster Liberty event. And the highlight for me personally was attending a dinner Friday night where our next guest spoke. You could hear a pin drop. People hung on every word that he delivered. And I realized halfway through his extraordinary talk, he made some pretty big news about the incredible successes the Trump administration has in eradicating terrorists from the world. Joining us now, the man who gave that speech and while the audience, the deputy assistant to the president and the senior director for counterterrorism at the National Security Council, our good friend Dr. Sarah Sebastian Gorka. Seb, great to have you on.
Dr. Sebastian Gorka
It is a distinct pleasure especially to be in your new studios. You are a regular guest, honored high, high value guest on my daily radio and TV show. It's great to be here with you guys. So God bless. And it was great to break bread with you as well.
John Solomon
We had such a blast. But I was blown away by the stories you were telling and also I think the commitment that the Trump administration has had to eradicating these jihadists who roamed free for the last four or five years, no threat to them at all. You gave a number at that talk. Tell us how many terrorists have been captured and killed since President Trump took over?
Dr. Sebastian Gorka
I'll give you one of those because we're actually turning most of them into red mist. So outside of the Houthi campaign, we have killed 370 leading jihadis around the globe, those who have blood on their hands, who've killed Americans or who are planning to kill Americans. So as we say in the National Security Council, America's back in the business of counterterrorism, thanks to President Trump.
John Solomon
Wow, Amazing.
Amanda Head
I love it. And thanks to Sebastian Gorka. And also, you know, your job kind of overlaps with Tom Homan in that Tom Homan promised to do worst first. And as far as I'm concerned, when it comes to the worst, that would be a lot of those folks that you were just talking about, folks who came in and created sleeper cells under Joe Biden. Are they getting deported fast enough? Are they getting apprehended and arrested fast enough for your liking?
Dr. Sebastian Gorka
Well, look, this is the incredible thing and the massive difference between this administration, the first Trump administration, in which I also served back then we had, well, I'll be blunt. Lots of people at the highest levels, including Chief of Staff Kelly and others who are basically subversives, who are undermining the will of the president of or those like Rex Tillerson who weren't meant to be. They didn't know what MAGA meant or America First. That is not the case today. Whether it's characters out of central casting, which is what Elon Musk called Tom Homan in front of me, whether it's my other friends, Kash Patel at the FBI, Dan Bongino, Pam Bondi, Tulsi Gabbard, John Radcliffe, Stephen Miller, the mastermind of our immigration policy in Trump 1, and now as the person who is Homeland Security Advisor. This is a team that has one thing above all else in front of them, executing the mission to keep America safe. So, yeah, we've killed hundreds of jihadis, We've rescued almost 100Americans, brought hostages back home. But I look at the figures that Tom and Secretary Noem have achieved. And Stephen Miller, 1.6 million illegals not only deported, arrested by ICE and HSI, but a large proportion of those individuals because they're afraid of Tom, they're afraid of Stephen Miller, they're afraid of Governor Noem. Self deport. That tells you everything you need to know about how effective a team really is.
John Solomon
You told the story at the Friday night dinner that was so amazing. The moment you realized that the world was going to be incredibly different with Donald Trump and President. You're a few days in. First, tell us what the counterterrorism staff told you when you first got there. This was shocking in and of itself.
Dr. Sebastian Gorka
Yeah. Thank you for this opportunity, John. So unlike cabinet members, if you're a senior director running counterterrorism for the President, you're not Senate confirmed. So at 12:01, I was working, I was actually outside the White House campus with my fresh access card listening to the President give the oath of office in my little earbud. And they told me at 12:01, when he raised his hand, you will be permitted onto the campus. And sure enough, I was listening to him take his oath of office for the second time, swiped my White House ID card, the turnstile dropped, and I walked back into the White House. I spent the next eight days with my counterterrorism team at the National Security Council, going across the US Government, intelligence community, the Department of War, so on and so forth, asking them, what's the lay of the land? How bad have the last four years been? And it was as if everyone had been issued the same talking points. John, they said, can we please be allowed to do our job? Can we return to the rules of engagement from the first Trump administration? Unlike Biden, where if you wanted to kill a jihadi in centcom, aor, in africom aor, you had to go all the way up to Jake Sullivan, the key propagator of the Russia hoax, the then National Security Adviser, who would then have to ask Joe Biden if he was awake, can we kill this person who's killed Americans? Which, of course meant basically nobody was harmed, who needed to be dealt eternal justice. Well, day eight, we took that request into the Oval Office with the then National Security Adviser with a member of my NSC team. We put a map in front of the terror in front of the President, with a terrorist training camp, an individual, a leading member of isis. And we told the president, sir, we've been tracking this person for 18 months under the Biden administration. The President looked up from the Resolute desk and he said to us, what do you mean we've been tracking him? Kill him. He took out that iconic Sharpie pen. He ticked the go box on those operational orders. Less than 30 hours later, I was in the Situation Room under the West Wing. You know, the famous one from the bin Laden raid and everything else, with the National Security Advisor, with my team, as we watched on these massive screens, this terrorist who'd killed Americans walking blithely across this terrorist training camp. And suddenly, at 8:45 on a Saturday morning, he turned into Red Misk. That was number one. And we have killed more than 370 leading jihadists since then because we are about America first and keeping Americans safe. That is the mandate from the President.
John Solomon
Amazing.
Amanda Head
I remember a lot of us looking back to the first administration when President Trump gave that press conference and talked about dying like a dog. And a lot of were really appreciative of that just frank speech when it comes to America's enemies. Seb, I want to ask you about another type of enemy for the United States. I believe it was Congresswoman Anna Paulina Luna. She just released the financials for the no Kings protests. And it's. It's the typical suspects to the tune of 70 or 80 million each from Arabella, from George Soros. If you've got these organizations that are funding these protests and these riots here in the United States and their coffers are filled with foreign money, doesn't that place them right in the crosshairs of being designated FTO or Foreign Terrorist Organization?
Dr. Sebastian Gorka
The statutes are very, very clear. It's called material support to terrorism. If you are giving aid and succor, if you are financing violent acts against the constitutional order of the United States, if you're targeting innocent Americans like my friend Charlie Kirk, then we will use all legal tools against you. And look, Scott Besant is a friend of mine. And when he says his Treasury Department is going to get to the bottom of every money trail, it's the same whether it's the Mafia or whether it's Al Qaeda, whether it's ISIS or Antifa, the newly designated terrorist organization. Follow the money and we will follow the money. And you can bet your bottom dollar that the Homeland Security adviser, Stephen Miller, Scott Besant and everyone in the intelligence community who has a mandate to do so, Cash Patel at the FBI will neutralize the threats to America. We're not going to allow the politicization of national security. We're not going to hunt down Catholics because they go to Latin mass enrichment. We're going to go after those who, I don't know, firebomb, Tesla dealerships because they have a disagreement with Elon Musk or those who plot and try to assassinate President Trump or leading conservatives like Charlie Kirk that will not be allowed to stand in America under Donald J. Trump's administration.
John Solomon
An absolute dose of clarity. There's no doubt about what you're going to do. I went back, Seb, through a lot of the clips. I can't find anywhere where the media has covered the extraordinary success, the numbers. You've knocked off some really significant players like Abba Khadijah, who I think was the number two in ISIS that doesn't get reported hardly at all. You have had some major, major people you've taken off the planet who were major threats to America.
Dr. Sebastian Gorka
Yeah, I'm so delighted I can talk to you about some of these names that have been declassified of late. The Strangely, John, and you know these people very well, the mainstream legacy lying media doesn't want to write stories about. Instead, they'll peddle false smear jobs against heroes like Tom Homan. But the fact that Abu Khadija, the number two of isis, was neutralized by our brave war fighters in Iraq, the fact that we've gone after leaders in Somalia of terrorist groups like Al Shabaab, al Qaeda, aqap, we have leaders of Harras Al Din, one of the jihadist groups in Syria neutralized by our war fighters, the fact that the mainstream media covers none of these stories, but only you do, tells you what you should think of those people and why they don't seem to prioritize national security. 370/ successful operations that we can talk about about that aren't intelligence operations, but nary a Story. The fact that beyond that, if you don't talk about bloody things like killing jihadists, okay, you've got a weak stomach. How about the fact that we, President Trump, Adam Boehler, Steve Witkoff, Jared Kushner, Rick Grenell, have Liberated more than 76Americans held hostage or wrongfully detained. I myself went to Kabul on behalf of the president with envoy Bola to bring back an American citizen, a person who, when he landed at Dulles, said, there's only God and President Trump kiss the tarmac. He's so grateful that this administration actually is bringing Americans home. And one last thing, if I may. I meet with these families every week, families of Americans who were kidnapped and killed by Hamas, for example. And these individuals told me multiple families, John, this is horrific. That under the Jake Sullivan Biden Harris administration, they came to the White House and they were told, don't talk about your loved one. Don't tweet about your missing father, brother, daughter. That's not useful. That's embarrassing. We, on the other hand, have exerted maximal pressure. Social media, President Trump's tweets, that's how we get people back. Because it is peace through strength. We don't hide our responsibility, we exercise it.
John Solomon
We only got about a minute left, but I want to ask about this. Just because it's so extraordinary, sometimes we bring a terrorist back alive. Like the Abbey Gate bomber that you helped capture. You went personally to look him in the eye when he came ashore to face justice. Tell us what that was like.
Dr. Sebastian Gorka
Unbelievable. It was the night of the President's address to Congress. At 3am, I was on the tarmac with Tulsi Gabbard, Cash Patel, Pam Bondi, John Radcliffe. As we wait for the DOJ jet to land with Jafar, the Abbey Gate bomber, on board, a priority I'd made for myself. I had no idea. 41 days into the administration, because of our intelligence professionals, because of the assistance provided by Pakistan, that man is in a Virginia federal penitentiary now and is going to pay the full penalty for killing our 13 brave servicemen and women in Kabul under the rout of Joe Biden.
John Solomon
Just amazing. 370 terrorists, 76 hostages rescued. 370 killed. One man brought to justice that we all wanted for four years and we couldn't get under Joe Biden. That is the record of President Trump and this man right here, Doctor.
Dr. Sebastian Gorka
And my team. And my team.
John Solomon
You have an amazing team. They do amazing work. We're glad you've liberated them back to their jobs. Amanda, some amazing statistics I can't believe it. We're about to start that incredible University Indiana University event with EPUSA Tucker Carlson. We're going to let you tune in. We're going to get out of the way so you can listen clearly. Ram. All right, folks, we're going to take back out there as soon as speakers begin. All that coverage brought to you by our good friends at Patriot Mobile. It's going to be a fantastic event all night long. I'm going to bring Amanda in again. Amanda, Seb Gorka laid out some numbers we've never heard before. 370 terrorists exterminated by Donald Trump since January 20th. He gave us some names of people that until today weren't declassified so we can give the names out. And on top of that, 76 hostages returned. I particularly like the story of him going personally to watch the man who.
Congressman Burgess Owens
Governor Mike Troops to.
John Solomon
At the Abbey Gate in Afghanistan, making sure he could look him in the eye when he came to us. So it's a pretty remarkable day, huh?
Amanda Head
Absolutely. And I think we're going to toss right to the stage because the program is beginning.
John Solomon
There we go. Look at that. All right.
Mike Braun
Thank you, everyone. What a pleasure to be here. I'm going to drift back. It's going to tell you my age. It was about 1974, and my wife and I, the only other time I was in this building was a Sha Na Na concert. They were in Woodstock. And I listened to ACDC earlier. Times do change. Yeah. I love it that you're here. What Charlie represented was not being embarrassed about what I ran on and what got me into the game in the first place. Faith, family and community. You throw a little freedom and opportunity on top of that. We never should shy away from shouting it into the rafters. We need to do that every day. We need to organize across the country because the other side, the six years I spent in the U.S. senate, I was the loudest voice on fiscal responsibility, limited government, getting things done without growing government. The other side wants that approach. Look what the founders did. They risk everything to get out from underneath that. It took a while. And here we are. We're in a classic battle between those values, folks that believe government is the most important thing in your lives, don't ever go there. Always resist it. Be loud about it. Can I count on you for that? So when I was watching Charlie as I was wrestling in D.C. on those issues, I could tell he was someone special. I've learned more from talking to folks that disagree with you and then bringing them over to your side, he invited that that was unusual. Most people didn't want to go into the lion's den. They wanted to be safe. And as conservatives, people that believe in those things I just talked about, we've been flat footed. We've not been out there doing it. The other side, they adore it. It's their growth, business and their cathedral wrapped into one. And it shouldn't be that way. It takes this and what I heard just a little bit ago, 9,000, 10,000 chapters across the country growing into what it is now. It's up for you to be the foot soldiers that we take what he meant and grow it into the place where this is more common on universities than the other stuff you often see in universities. I remember also 50 years ago, made some decisions, took a little risk. You won't go anywhere in life without sticking your neck out. Take risk on the things you believe in and then work your butts off to do it. Those two combinations with good judgment get you to many places. Fifty some years ago, headed to Wall street, was going to take that other pathway. Worked in a campaign when I was in college, set it aside, raised four kids. My wife's had her only job as her business in our hometown where we'd known one another since first grade. The American dream. You'd even talk about that in some schools and they'd call you a hayseed or that you're not with it. Don't ever be embarrassed of Main street and the values that we embrace again on faith, family and community. Charlie would love it, he'd be proud of you. But know that it's not going to be easy because the other side controls the media. They're going to spend more money on campaigns against you. They'll try to wear you out, but they don't have the winning message. The winning message is work hard, embrace freedom and liberty. Don't be ashamed of your values. Get back to your own communities and think about making a living, building your family, building your businesses. That's what this is all about. And as long as I'm your governor in Indiana, that's what it's going to be about here. I've had a lot of interesting things in the short time I've seen spent in the Senate and now as your governor, not to mention four, four rallies with a guy named Donald Trump. Yeah, I'm close to wrapping it up, but I'm going to tell you Trump and a Bobby Knight story at the very end, so you'll like it. I'll never forget when he ran in 16, there's no doubt what that was about. That was half the country pissed off with business as usual. He. When he came down the escalator, I remember, I thought you had to be a farm system politician to make it in this country. No, he was the opposite of that. He was a brawler from Queens that knew what this country was about. Took those folks off the stage. Look how the system went at him. That, again, is what we're up against. But that memory, the two days after I won the primary, taking on two congressmen, he calls in a CN Elkhart. Remember getting in to the Beast with him, first thing, he said, mike, you like to dress a little casually, don't you? Hell, I'm not going to go against the president. I said, well, that's my brand, Mr. President. President. Oh, that makes sense. Next thing he asked me was how big the gym was. He wanted to make sure there were going to be a lot of people there. And of course, I said, they're the biggest high school gyms in the country. That satisfied him. And then I didn't know where the conversation would go next. Do you want to bring Bobby Knight into your campaign? I said, well, hell, this. I hope this trip never ends. So, didn't know anything about that until the Thursday before the election, after we worked hard to win that primary, and I'm at Southport Gym and Bobby Knight's coming, and I'll never forget that evening. You're all ready to go. Anxious to have a reasonable conversation. Here's how it went. Trump finally had to say, bobby, do you want to meet the next senator from Indiana? He wasn't paying much attention to me. He turned over and he said, hey, young man, all you got to do is listen to the Donald and you'll be okay. Pretty good advice. Pretty good advice. Thanks for doing it. Remember, when you leave here, we want to grow this across the country. We want to get it into our communities, our schools. If not, you're going to get more of what you're seeing in New York City. That kind of offering to the public. We don't want it. We want to make sure on Main street, the heartland of America, and across the country, we push the stuff that Charlie believed in that all of us do. Work hard. Go Hoosiers. Thank you.

I got to tour with Charlie as his opening act. Lasts three years. I think initially, some people might have found it odd that Charlie Kirk was bringing a comedian on the road with him. But also, I don't think people realized how much Charlie loved to laugh. Mark Twain once said, the human race has only one really effective weapon, and that's laughter. And even though he was known for his logic and reason, nobody understood the power of laughter better than Charlie.

I'm so excited to be here with you. I obviously wish it was under better circumstances, but even with those circumstances, what they are, I can tell you definitively and confidently, Charlie would be so proud that each and every one of you filled this place place to the rafters for the longest running. Actual no Kings protest. Why don't you guys go ahead and round applause for yourself? Yeah. What a weird weekend that was. You got a bunch of overweight blue haired sociology majors parading around town protesting against a king we don't have. It's really interesting. One of the things that Charlie used to say so often was be precise with your language. Be precise and be responsible with everything that you say. I found out over the weekend that the libs do the exact opposite of that. They are not precise, they're not responsible. We've all seen that. And what I thought was super interesting is it's really not even what you say. It's also like how you say it. Like if I went to the no Kings protest, I'm like, that's Jimmy. He's queer. They would all cheer and celebrate, Hooray, Jimmy. If I said the same exact thing in a different tone, that's Jimmy. He's a queer. Now I'm in trouble. So, guys, I want to elaborate a little bit more on the precise angle that Charlie talked about so often. And what I've been doing on these tours is kind of telling some behind the scenes stories of what it was like working with Charlie in hopes of illuminating the kind of guy that he was and the mission that he was.

A while ago. So Turning Point has a bunch of different contributors and we all do different things. You've got people who are rappers, you've got people who do the pop culture thing. Obviously you had Charlie who do the debates and the logic and the reason, and it was a very good idea. But at a certain time, the, the top brass at Turning Point figured out we should do like a roundtable discussion, like a long form podcast where we bring our contributors and we just kind of have a free flowing discussion. And so that was the initiative, and I was chosen, along with Turning Point contributor, Alex Clark. Yeah, Alex. To sit down with Charlie and do this round table. I want to show you a picture of that right here. Hopefully you can see it. The angle does not make me look great. Someone decided, hey, let's put the shorter guy in the biggest chair. And then Charlie, who I'm pretty sure is about 9ft tall, in the smallest chair closest to the camera. I look like him in like a wheelchair from the 1940s. And like, meeting Charlie Kirk was like my make a wish. So we had these roundtable discussions and we got a few good clips from them. We did three of these with Charlie, Alex, and myself. And some of the clips were actually pretty fun. Alex and I pushed a conspiracy theory that mattress firm, the mattress store, is laundering money for the cartel. Charlie had absolutely none of it. Charlie told a story about how his team took his Twitter account away.

His own brand protection. But overall, nobody saw the entire conversation because it didn't work. Which is something I'd like to hit on. If we had put this entire conversation out, it would have been as successful as Kamala Harris presidential campaign or her sobriety. But these things went off the rails so fast and so hard. Joe Biden might have actually visited. Some of you got that one good. But it didn't work for a lot of different reasons. And most of those were because you had three people who were in the conservative movement but so far apart from each other that it made it difficult to kind of get a cohesive message together. The conversations went all over the place. You have Charlie talking about the teleological dissemmetries between Nietzsche and Aristotle. Alex Clark is talking about who wore what at the Met gala. And I can't stop making trans jokes the whole time. And so even though there are great clips, the broader conversation just didn't really work. Let me give you an example of something that happened. In kind of a lull in the conversation, Alex Clark turns to Charlie and.

If men wash dishes, does that make them gay? And Charlie looked up and was thinking and was thinking and thinking. And all the while, I'm watching the producers in the back of the cameras starting sweating bullets, like, oh, my gosh, what is he going to answer to this? So Charlie gets asked, is washing dishes gay? And he says, well, everything is gay if you go to Purdue. He didn't say that. He didn't say that. He didn't say that. I got to stop ribbing the rivalry schools because for all I know we're going to be at Purdue next semester. I'm going to have to explain that.

[03:33 – 07:27]
Amanda Head brings up ongoing government shutdown (Day 21), questioning who will capitulate. Trump, in a Rose Garden statement, insists Republicans won’t be “extorted by Democrats” ([04:07]).
“We will not be extorted on this crazy plot of theirs… Chuck Schumer and the Senate Democrats need to vote for the clean, bipartisan CR and reopen our government.”
— Donald Trump (clip, [04:07])
Humorous moment: Trump references OMB Director Russ Vogt as "Darth Vader" for cutting Democrat priorities ([05:10]).
“They call him Darth Vader. I call him a fine man, but he’s cutting Democrat priorities and they’re never going to get him back.”
— Donald Trump (clip, [05:10])
[05:35 – 14:53]
Democrat Protests: Asked about “no Kings” protests, Owens is blunt in criticizing Democrats’ priorities:
“What you see here is a total lack of wisdom, total lack of insight and total lack of concern about their constituents… What they’re really good at is, I call it, use, abuse, and discard those who really depend on them.”
— Rep. Burgess Owens ([06:18])
Shutdown and Troop Pay: On House Minority Leader Jeffries dismissing troop pay as a ploy:
“It’s almost like kindergarten kids against an all pro… President Trump is an expert. He’s a genius when it comes to negotiating…”
— Rep. Burgess Owens ([07:52])
Polls cited show 64% call Democrats ‘weak’; Owens suggests growing independence or patriotism among voters disaffected with Democrats:
“There's a remarkable transfer of allegiance, maybe not to the Republican Party but to Independents… The Democratic Party is not giving them the answers they need.”
— Rep. Burgess Owens ([09:32])
Praises “rule of law” restoration; calls for accountability:
“President Trump… is all about return on investment… and making sure that we have something called rule of law…”
— Rep. Burgess Owens ([11:13])
Amanda Head expresses concern over Democrats under 30 supporting violence to halt deportations ([12:03]):
“Ignorant and free can never be... we need to educate our kids once again about the greatness of our country… We have turned the corner in so many ways…”
— Rep. Burgess Owens ([12:32])
Argues the shutdown is Democrats’ effort to hold up Trump’s policy successes:
“They have miscalculated on this one in a big way. We will shrink the government. President Trump will shrink the government. There will be programs that will never come back.”
— Rep. Burgess Owens ([13:42])
[16:43 – 29:22]
Terrorists Eliminated: Gorka details 370 high-value jihadists killed since Trump’s second term began:
“Outside of the Houthi campaign, we have killed 370 leading jihadis around the globe… America’s back in the business of counterterrorism, thanks to President Trump.”
— Dr. Sebastian Gorka ([17:55])
Deportations & Deterrence: Details 1.6 million illegals arrested, many self-deporting “because they’re afraid of Tom [Homan], they’re afraid of Stephen Miller, they’re afraid of Governor Noem.”
Change of Rules: Gorka describes the contrast with the Biden years:
“Under Biden… if you wanted to kill a jihadi… you had to go all the way up to Jake Sullivan… With Trump, we put the map in front of the President… He said, ‘What do you mean we’ve been tracking him? Kill him.’”
— Dr. Sebastian Gorka ([20:32])
Memorable Operation: Gorka recounts the first terrorist eliminated under Trump just 30 hours after the go-order.
On organizations receiving foreign funding for protests and unrest ([23:07]):
“If you are giving aid and succor, if you are financing violent acts against the constitutional order of the United States… we will use all legal tools against you.”
— Dr. Sebastian Gorka ([23:50])
Hostages Freed: 76 Americans brought home.
Unreported Successes: Gorka laments legacy media’s omission of major counterterrorism wins (Abu Khadija, ISIS No. 2 neutralized):
"370 successful operations that we can talk about that aren't intelligence operations... but nary a story."
— Dr. Sebastian Gorka ([25:47])
Personal Moment: Gorka describes being present for the arrival of the Abbey Gate bomber, brought to justice for the Kabul airport bombing ([28:25]):
"At 3am, I was on the tarmac... as we wait for the DOJ jet to land with Jafar, the Abbey Gate bomber, on board... that man is in a Virginia federal penitentiary now and is going to pay the full penalty for killing our 13 brave servicemen and women in Kabul under the rout of Joe Biden."
— Dr. Sebastian Gorka ([28:25])
[32:33 – 48:53]
[32:33 – 41:38]

References the contrast between government overreach and conservative ideals, drawing on personal stories, campaign experiences, and encounters with President Trump.
Urges audience engagement and risk-taking in service of American principles.
"Be loud about it. Can I count on you for that?"
— Gov. Mike Braun ([33:59])

Shares stories from behind the scenes, humanizing and memorializing Kirk.
Critiques campus activism and leftist approaches to protest, using humor and juxtaposition.

— Joe Bob ([43:02])
Anecdote about failed Turning Point roundtable: illustrates diversity within conservative movement and the challenge of crafting unified messaging.
