Big D (16:42)
Our live from Studio 6B on a Friday night, January 2nd. Gonna do sports. Kevin Downey Jr. Is going to do some news. Paul Nolan's going to do some news as well. Aaron and Fran holding it down as always. Lots to get to here on a Friday night. But right now, since I screwed up the timing in the first segment, let's do tonight's first word. Well, my friends, welcome on in. Welcome to a brand new year. Happy new year, Everybody. Welcome to 2026. And let me tell you something right out of the G. This is not just another turn of the calendar. This is not just another year stacked on top of the last one. No, folks, it feels like 2026 is the year that America begins to rise again. Now, I know, I know. We've been told for years that America's best days are behind her, that decline is inevitable, that faith is outdated, that borders don't matter. Strength is dangerous. That pride in the country is somehow a flaw. Well, that lie is beginning to collapse. If not collapsing because what happened in 2025 was not flashy. It wasn't instant gratification. It Wasn't a magic wand. What Trump did in 25 was preparation, stabilization, rebuilding. Re anchoring this nation to the things that made it exceptional in the first place. And now, well, now comes the payoff. As America approaches her 250th birthday, we are standing at one of those rare hinge moments in history when you can feel it in the air, when you know something big is coming, when the foundation has been poured and the structure is about to rise. Let's start where every nation must start. Sovereignty. In 2025, the United States remembered that a country without borders is, well, not a country at all. Law and order returned to the conversation. Criminal, illegal aliens were removed. Chaos at the border gave way to control, predictability and enforcement of the law. And guess what happened? Well, communities felt safer. Americans felt heard the rule of law meant something. Again, this was never about cruelty. It was about protection. Protection of citizens, protection of workers, protection of the social fabric that holds a diverse nation together. And once you secure the border, everything else becomes, well, possible. Then came the economic realignment. Tariffs that put America first. Incentives that brought factories home. Confidence, real confidence return to, well, investors and entrepreneurs. The stock market surge. Capital flowed back into American industry. But again, this wasn't about overnight miracles. Factories don't rise in a week. Supply chains don't rebuild themselves in a month. Foundations take time. And now in 2026, those investments will start producing jobs stabilize families. Wages rise, spending increases productivity returns. And thanks to meaningful tax relief from the big beautiful bill, Americans finally get to keep more of what they earn. Low inflation, falling interest rates, a strong market, real growth based on real work. That's not luck, that's policy. Now let's talk about peace. The only, the kind of peace that only comes from strength. In 2025, America stopped apologizing for being powerful. We invested in our military. We modernized our weapons system. We restored morale. And suddenly imagine this. Global tensions began to cool because history teaches one lesson over and over again. Strong America equals a more peaceful world. When our adversaries know we're serious, they think twice. When our allies trust us. Stability follows. Strength is not provocation. Strength is deterrence. And deterrence saves lives. Strong leadership brings peace. And a strong America guarantees that. But perhaps the most important shift of all didn't happen in Washington or on Wall street or overseas. It happened at home, in the hearts of the American people. In 2025, millions, especially young Americans, began walking away from the woke insanity, the endless division, the grievance of politics, the hollow promises. And what did they move towards? Faith Family, meaning responsibility. Churches filled families, recentered conversations about virtue, duty, purpose, came roaring back into the public square. Americans remembered something the left never understood. A nation is more than an economy. A nation must have a soul. In that spiritual reawakening. Folks, we've only seen the beginning. None of this happens without leadership. President Trump set the tone. Clear vision, no confusion, no apologies. Leadership that wasn't about managing decline, but about reversing it. The administration worked with purpose, not ego, with conviction, not cowardice. And now, as we enter 2026, the year of America's 250th anniversary, the nation is reflecting on who she is and why she matters. We are rediscovering our strength, our purpose, our soul. The groundwork is done, the foundation is set. And the rewards, faith, family, freedom, prosperity are coming into view. Ronald Reagan called America the shining city on a hill. My friends, that city is lighting up again. The golden age of America is not behind us. It is emerging. So buckle up, enjoy the ride, and never forget, a renewed America is rising. Confident, faith, faithful and free. Happy New Year, everybody. God bless the United States of America. And that's tonight's first word.
