Paula White
Welcome to Paula. Today, God's word is your answer. And this is a supernatural miracle working season that we're entering in.
Pastor Brad
Yes, it's Passover season.
Paula White
Yes, we are in a divine appointment with God, but it is also Palm Sunday.
Congregation Member
Hosanna.
Pastor Brad
Hosanna.
Paula White
It was an unusual praise.
Pastor Brad
It was not the typical hallelujah, which was the universal.
Paula White
It was the first time praise that broke through, that said salvation now. And when we think about Passover and think about Palm Sunday, there is this united strand, this united word in both of them, deliverance. And I've been telling you, you have a date of deliverance because that's what
Pastor Brad
Passover is all about.
Paula White
The blood covenant of Jesus Christ, the
Pastor Brad
price that he paid.
Paula White
And the Palm Sunday is the entry into the Christian's holiest weeks. Think about it. We've got Palm Sunday, Good Friday, and then we go into resurrection Sunday. So here it is, guys. This is a great God moment. Now I have preached the word in the sanct. Let's get into it.
Michelle
This is such a profound time. The gospels predominantly focus upon it.
Pastor Brad
When we look and when, when someone gets saved, I tell them usually read the book of John first and I take them right to the Gospels, right? And when you look at the gospels and you say, what do they. What do they pertain? You know, some say about 35 miracles and some some wonderful things about the life of Jesus. But the predominant substance of the gospels is the last week of Christ's life, starting with Palm Sunday. So one of the texts in the many Bible transitions is this passage of scripture. It's called the triumphal entry. It's a day of triumph. I declare triumph over you in Jesus name. And you can see why throughout the scriptures, people are lined the streets, right? There's expectation. They're waiting, they're shouting praises to God. During this time, I don't want you to feel like I'm just waiting. The king is coming.
Michelle
Somebody Turn to your neighbor, say, the king is coming.
Pastor Brad
And it was tough because life was really unbearable under Roman rule. In the days that followed Jesus birth, they had no idea that the city of Nazareth, the promised Messiah, had already arrived. In Luke, chapter 19, verse 28:40, you see the remarkable event. You see Jesus triumphant entry into the city of Jerusalem. And the story is recorded in all these four gospels. Up until that point, Jesus had been drawn back from the public. Jesus never wanted to be a public figure. He was always hiding. Think about it. He was always saying, tell no man. He didn't seek large crowds. In fact, he made sure that he avoided them, unlike we do today. You have one little miracle, you build a whole ministry off it. Come on. And. And Jesus was like, there's so many miracles. Matthew, chapter 16, he commands the disciples, tell no man. And then in Mark, chapter five, when he raises the daughter of Jairus from the dead, it said he straightly charged them, that no man should know it. Dr. Jenkins, if tonight in Yalls Bible study with Clay and Michelle, y' all raised somebody from the dead, I have a feeling I'll know about it before the end of the night. I bet the whole neighborhood would, because it's our nature, you know? But. But Jesus said, don't tell anybody. Don't tell anybody that the dead are
Michelle
being raised, that the devils are being cast out, that the sick are being healed.
Pastor Brad
Keep this under. In John chapter six, the feeding of six or five thousand, you know, John records this. He says when Jesus perceived that they, the multitude would come and take him by force to make him a king, he departed again into a moun himself alone. There's so much that I want to elaborate on that you understand, because you have a timing. Come on. God has a timing, and that's important. Even with the descending from the mount transfiguration in Mark 9, 9, he says they should tell no man what things they had seen till the Son of man was risen from the dead.
Michelle
So much of Jesus ministry is hidden, right?
Pastor Brad
There's a point I'm making. Much of it's away from everyone. Much of it is him sneaking off from the crowds, him getting away from
Paula White
everyone, him going up and.
Pastor Brad
And praying, usually alone. Sometimes he had Peter, James and John. And I mean, it's. It's often this ministry of isolation. And then comes this week, say this week, the time had come that they turned their attention towards himself because Jesus to them had come. Now, at the time of this story, it was the Jewish Passover. So can you still go somewhere with me because we say Jewish Passover and you think like some people having a little festival in their home or a meal. No, no, no, no, no. Thousands upon thousands upon thousands, Jewish pilgrims would gather from all over the world and they would come to Jerusalem. The census information of this time told us that there were over 250,000 lambs that were slain that week. So the law regarding the Passover lamb said that there had to be a minimum of 10 people per lamb, which would bring the possible number of people in Jerusalem back then over 2,000 years ago, to 2.5 million people. You talk about traffic jams, you talk
Michelle
about, this isn't 200 people waving.
Pastor Brad
This is 2.5 million people that have gathered in Jerusalem to obey the law to bring forth the Passover lamb. In the midst of this religious celebration, which is profound to us and to the Jewish people, Jesus presented them with this picture. His claims of being Christ, his claims of being Messiah. Think how radical this is. Think about this. 2.5. Everyone's gathered in Jerusalem. They know the prophecies. And now Jesus is. Is presenting himself as Messiah.
Michelle
In fact, he says, go get the
Pastor Brad
colt and untie it, for the Lord has need of it.
Michelle
It's my time.
Pastor Brad
It's coming forth right now. 2000s of years ago, the Sadducees had a tradition which they believed that the Messiah would come four days before Passover. They kept the gates of the temple open so he could come right in to his rightful place. And because of the Jewish nationalistic fervor at the time, it was at peace peak on this particular day.
Michelle
So can you imagine it?
Pastor Brad
I mean, it is bigger than anything that you can even comprehend. I can't even take you to New York with the time time square, with the ball dropping or. Or with Macy Day Parade or anything like that.
Michelle
It is the whole community.
Pastor Brad
It's all the Jewish people. Coming up. 2.5.
Congregation Member
Hosanna. Hosanna. Hosanna.
Michelle
No wonder the city's about to rock. Come on.
Pastor Brad
The Romans would have all troops that were activated. So in other words, they'd have their National Guard out. They'd have everything on high alert. They would have all their army, all their military. They'd have all the troops.
Michelle
Can you see it now? Can you see the kind of tension?
Pastor Brad
They feared the Jews would try another revolt under some religiously crazed radical and that maybe it would succeed.
Michelle
So tensions were high.
Pastor Brad
Tensions were rough. This is the very day that Jesus chose to enter Jerusalem on a donkey,
Michelle
fulfilling the prophecy of Zechariah 9.
Pastor Brad
9.
Michelle
Rejoice greatly.
Pastor Brad
I want you to understand this because there's tension. There could be massive war breakout. You think? We saw things in 2020 going on. It's nothing like the kind of atmosphere that Jesus would be released and reveal himself. He's been quiet and now he goes. He stands up and Zechariah 9:9 says, Rejoice God greatly, O daughter of Zion. Shout, daughter of Jerusalem. See your king comes to you righteous and having salvation.
Michelle
Gentle and riding on a donkey, on
Pastor Brad
a colt the foul of a donkey. There's only two points I have today, and I'm going to give them to you literally in 10 minutes. You ready? Point number one. Jesus came as a rightful king because he was the fulfillment of Zechariah 9:9.
Michelle
Come on. He came as a rightful king.
Pastor Brad
This is important to you.
Michelle
The people of Israel had always understood
Pastor Brad
Zachariah's prophecy, that it would refer to
Michelle
the Messiah as God's anointed king.
Pastor Brad
God's anointed one.
Michelle
And the prophet says, rejoice greatly, O daughter of Zion. Shout, daughter of Jerusalem.
Pastor Brad
See your king comes to you righteous and having salvation.
Michelle
I should just stop right there because there's no way without the king coming that we could be in right standing with God, righteousness and having salvation. If you really begin to think about what salvation means to you, salvation is from a root word of Sozo. To be made whole, to be restored, to be rescued, to be put back together. It's not only getting to heaven, it's God literally bringing heaven to you. Right now. He's redeeming you by the blood covenant of Jesus Christ. And it says, this is the prophecy that was fulfilled, that he's a righteous king and he's a king of salvation. Come on. If you don't have any other reason to praise God, I gave you more than enough to run around this building right now that you're in right standing, not because of your merit. There's no merit in you that deserves that right standing. Not because of your works. There's nothing you can do to place yourself in that position. Not because you have the ability to redeem, not because you have a right
Pastor Brad
heart and somebody else has a wrong
Michelle
heart or all of our hearts are deceitful according to Jeremiah, and wicked above all things. We all deserve punishment. We all deserve an annihilation. We all deserve to be separated. But God, in His mercy and his grace and his goodness and his love for you brought Jesus, who would be the righteous king. He would make the wrong right and he would put us in right position. Whosoever, whoever would call upon the name of the Lord, whoever would believe that he is God, whoever would receive him. You don't have to know all the theological background. It's going to take you years and years and years and you're still never going to know it. You don't have to know 500 scriptures. You just have to say yes, Jesus and God comes flooding into your heart. And it starts there. It doesn't end there, but it starts there. Somebody just needs to say yes. When you say yes to Jesus, yes to, to the righteous king, Come on. You'll be able to say no to a lot of other things. Suddenly that addiction leaves you. Suddenly that depression leaves you. Those generational curses get broken. You change the bloodline of your family. Because he's a righteous king. He came to bring salvation. Somebody needs to be reminded of Zechariah 9. He didn't come to leave you despondent and depressed and sitting here going, what am I going to do when I 73 years and 8 months and 2 days that I'm on this earth? I tell you what you're going to do. You're going to walk in salvation. You're going to walk in his power. You're going to walk in his presence. You're going to walk in his goodness. Hosanna.

Pastor Brad
You better see slap.
Michelle
Somebody say Hosanna. Be seated. I gotta finish.
Pastor Brad
When Jesus got on the donkey, specifically the purebred colt, as Zechariah had promised, he. He. He was presenting himself as Israel's promised king. By his actions, he was saying, behold, thy king cometh unto thee. The Jews knew their Bible. That's one thing they know very, very well. And many people in the crowd would have remembered the words of Zachariah and recognized when he said, behold, the king cometh unto thee. Now, they could have rejected that. They could have had a. Any kind of scenario could have gone in the setting I just spoke to you. Some may even have remembered when Solomon became Israel's king. And he was presented on the donkey of his Father David in First Kings, chapter 1, verse 38 and 39. But. But one clue that the people of Jerusalem recognize the connection is that when they saw Jesus riding on this foal of a donkey, they said what? Matthew 21:9. Hosanna to the son of David. They could have said, who are you? They could have said. Some other people have said that before, but they said what?
Congregation Member
Hosanna.
Pastor Brad
Oh, come on. There's so much in here. Please help me, you Bible scholars. To the son of David. David didn't deserve a lineage.
Michelle
Neither do you or I. But David would have an eternal kingdom. David would bring forth the lineage of the Messiah. David, come on. Would bring forth even Bathsheba will be mentioned.
Pastor Brad
My God. Do you understand the kind of hope that gives us every word you read?
Congregation Member
Hosanna.
Michelle
The son of David.
Pastor Brad
By using that title, they were claiming Jesus to be their rightful king. There have been many who have made this claim. You talk about Pastor Brad. He always says you. They like Satan makes a claim. Jesus makes a claim. There are many who had made this claim. But the people recognized when he said, behold, the king cometh unto you that he was the fulfillment of Zechariah, chapter 9, verse 9. And he was their rightful king. They recognized that he had come in the name of the Lord. Matthew 21:9, Psalm 118, verse 26. And although it's often overlooked, there was an older prophecy that explains why Jesus rode the donkey. It's in Genesis 49, verse 10 and 11. Long before Zachariah, Jacob pronounced this blessing on his son Judah. The scepter will not depart from Judah, nor the ruler staff from between his feet, until he comes to whom it belongs. And the obedience of the nation is his. He will tether his donkey to a vine and his cult to the choicest one branch. Jacob's prophecy meant that Israel's true king would come from the tribe of Judah. And then in some way he would
Michelle
be associated with this colt on a
Pastor Brad
donk or this donkey. What's only hinted at in the book of Genesis was made plain in the Gospels. Jesus, the son of David from the tribe of Judah rode into Jerusalem as the rightful king. Look at somebody say, he's a rightful king. King.
Michelle
He's your rightful king. He came as the rightful king. John 12:12.
Pastor Brad
On the next day, much people that were come to the feast when they heard somebody say, hear it, hear it. The Greek word heard means understood. When they understood God. Let understanding be released today because I'm prophet.
Michelle
I'm prophetically preaching today.
Pastor Brad
I'm just taking bites and rehearsing them over and over in your ears. Just stir things up till it catches your spirit. I'm not giving you a dialogue of
Michelle
some long theological something you don't know. I'm just prophetically proclaiming over and over,
Pastor Brad
which means your ear, your ear has to catch it. Let them understand.
Michelle
When your ear catches it, your spirit rises up. And all of a sudden you get a strategy, you get a download, you get a vision, you get healing, you get a word, you get. You get something that cannot be given to you by these things.
Pastor Brad
When they understood, when they understood that Jesus was coming to Jerusalem, they took these branches of palms, come on, somebody. And they went forth to meet him. Now, I'm going to break this part up. They went forth to meet him. And when the people understood, it was their God moment. Watch what they did because it literally means they issued a God encounter. This is so important because I know Dr. Paul, you and Brad can hold to the theology. I can just tell you the experience. Okay, so Some people say you can't, you can't usher in a God encounter. I've ushered them in many times. Now somebody will say, well, it was
Michelle
already meant to be.
Pastor Brad
I don't care.
Michelle
I'm just a simple Mississippi girl.
Pastor Brad
All I know is I lock myself away.
Michelle
So desperate for God, so hungry for God, so pure for God. Not wanting anything, not wanting a morsel to eat, not wanting a tv, not wanting a radio, not wanting a book, not wanting a person, just wanting a divine encounter with God that I, I encounter, encountered him.
Pastor Brad
And something ushered in something ushered in, they ushered in an encounter.
Michelle
You see, if we ever really get
Pastor Brad
that revelation, we, we, we always pray for revival. But when you begin to understand you're carrying something, you're carrying something that, that, that I believe you can, you can
Michelle
manifest here in this.
Pastor Brad
When you have the understanding, you bring the encounter, you bring the result. The people heard he was coming, they understood and they knew that they were about to enter the place of time and result. And here's what happened. Matthew 21:10, 11. And when he was coming to Jerusalem,
Michelle
all the city was moved.
Pastor Brad
Who is this? And the multitude said, this is Jesus, the prophet of Nazareth, of Galilee.
Michelle
So when God shows up, things begin to move.
Pastor Brad
Now see, we're all like, yeah, yeah, yeah.
Michelle
But when things begin to move, come on, people get plucked out, people get put in, people get moved, things begin to shift. And if you're really not ready for a movement and you are just ready
Pastor Brad
for a church experience, not a God experience.
Michelle
See, God changes things. God goes into the root of things. Some of you, some of you like staying with, you want God to clean
Pastor Brad
your boo up because you want him just to be church enough that you can control him. But when God gets really a hold of him, you aren't going to be
Michelle
able to manipulate him anymore because he can hear from God. You're not going to be able to steal from him and use his credit card, come on, you're not going to be able because he's going to be a watchman on the tower. And the problem is when we say we want a God move, but when
Pastor Brad
God really moves in someone's life, it's
Michelle
going to change them. And I promise you, it's a change for the better. It's a change for the good.
Paula White
We're in a supernatural divine miracle working season is the season of Passover and it's where provision begins in your life. It's one of the most exciting life changing miracle working season seasons of the entire year.
Pastor Brad
The Passover Season.
Paula White
It's part of our spiritual heritage that God designed as his own holy days with very specific instructions given for observance. And during this Holy week, this time that is so important to us as Christians, I want to challenge you. Don't miss this divine appointment. God set an appointment with you. And it is only through the power of Jesus sacrificial blood on the cross that you and your family are able to receive salvation, healing, protection, deliverance, restoration and supernatural victory. And I believe that when you honor God on Passover, God declares in Exodus 23:15, none shall appear before me empty handed. So thank you for honoring God. When I say honoring him, I ask you, what is the value of the blood to you? When I think about that, it's everything. And that's what God is really saying.
Pastor Brad
Remember me.
Paula White
Let's be intimate.
Pastor Brad
You buy clothes, you buy this, you buy that.
Paula White
But what about me? And it takes money to do ministry here at Paula White Ministry. It's great ground. We preach the gospel around the world. Souls are a passion for us. How should I hear without a preacher? But I can't go unless you send me. How do we do our humanitarian from Israel rebuilding a village that was completely destroyed from the horrific hamas Acts of October 7, feeding the hungry and clothing the naked and going into the prison. Over 30 million pounds of food over the last four years. And you make that difference. So thank you for standing with us and giving.
