Today. Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. Can't wait to take God has set up feast seasons. You go, what is that? As we teach about it, it is a divine appointment set by God. That's what the word moed is. And we talked about in the last program how in Genesis chapter one, God set the moon and the stars and everything else, all creation. Not so. We just see these beautiful ornaments, not just so people would be navigated, but he set them up so that he could bring intimacy of worship to us. And the word seasons there, verse 14 of Genesis chapter one means moed. It means the feast of God. There are three feasts. The first one is Passover. That has three feasts in it. These are feast seasons. And the next one is Pentecost. That's a standalone. And then you get to atonement. Atonement has three feasts in it. The Feast of Trumpets, which is sound the alarm. That's all about repentance. And I'm going to talk to you about it today, because it's not just, oh, I repent, I'm sorry. There's much deeper revelation and knowledge. Then it goes into atonement, God's most holy day. That is all about Jesus Christ and the blood covenant that he made with us. And all these feasts point towards the blood covenant of Jesus Christ. But Jesus is our atonement lamb. He became the sacrificial lamb of God to take away sin once and for all, never to be repeated again. The work was finished when he said, it is finished. It's perfectly perfect and completely complete. And then it goes into tabernacles. I call that party time, because that's about harvest. That's about the return of the Lord, the second coming of Jesus. That's about being one with God, which is our ultimate promise. This earth and this heaven is going to pass away. And I promise you, there is a day that the sky is going to roll back and Jesus is going to come. There's a second coming. We say, maranatha, come quickly, Lord. So you say, how do I celebrate these, and what are the purpose of them and how do they apply to me as a New Testament believer? The main theme of Rosh Hashanah Feast of Trumpets is repentance. And God says, For 10 days, I want you to really consider your ways. God always tells us to check our motive, check Our hearts. It's very similar to when Paul said, do this in remembrance of me talking about the Eucharist or Holy Communion. But prior to taking of the body and the blood, let every man examine himself. He said, look, self, reflect. Don't take this unworthily. He said, now many people are sick and even die because they're taking communion. Just like, oh, bread and wine. No, this is the body and the blood of Jesus. And God says, before, before you partake of the blood, there has to be repentance. Then watch what these mean. Repentance is trumpets. Ten days of all, the day of atonement. That's salvation. That's Jesus becoming the sacrificial lamb. And then there's a five day break and it goes into tabernacles. That is Jesus coming back. That is our hope in Christ that we have this promise. If we're dead and we die, we spend a time with God. And then ultimately that heaven and this earth as we know it passed away. And there's a new heaven and a new earth. There's no crying, there's no tears, there's no pain, there's no backbiting, there's no division, there's no divorce, there's no death, there's no cancer. That's a good heaven and earth and that's my final destination. And I spend eternity forever in that environment. I'm going to call it a universe. I don't know what to call it. In that universe, right in the presence of God. I so look forward to the day that I get to go to the throne of God and be judged not for my sin, that was done on the day of atonement. But judge for my works, for what I do, and people go, works don't matter. You can't work for salvation. That's a free gift of God. But, but your works do matter. Because there's a day that heaven is going to give a record of everything we do. And that's harvest. That's a time of tabernacle. That's a time of God's presence. That's a time that says God. I had this dash between two dates and this is what I did with the dash. I preached the gospel under duress. I preached the gospel with a bad doctor's report. I preached the gospel when they slandered my name. I preached the gospel when they lied on me. I preached the gospel when life was at its best. I preached the gospel in Safeway and I preached it in the stadiums. I told my neighbor about Jesus. I Reflected his goodness. And that's why this trumpets that we're going to get into is so important in the natural. And all through eternity, these divine appointments have meaning in your life. This first one, you ready? Rosh Hashanah Trumpets, repent. So what is repentance? Is it, I'm sorry, I got caught? No, it's something that we've become really poor at doing in this culture and society. We don't read much anymore. We're just social media. I want 30 seconds. We're busy, busy, busy. We're screen time. We drop over and then we wake up and we start over. We don't think very much, we don't reflect. And God says, I want you to stop, halt. And I am setting up this divine appointment. And the supernatural miracle is to get you still for a minute, because I want you to really look at yourself. Repentance is movement back to the point of departure. I want you to hear that. Because a lot of people think you'll never advance past your last act of disobedience. So someone thinks, well, I didn't go sleep with someone. I didn't murder someone. I didn't get drunk last night. But remember that instruction God gave you at that altar two years and 34 days ago? And you got up so on fire about it, and you had good intention to do it, whatever it was, to send that person to Israel to go work on that lady's home, to give this amount to someone to go start a homeless ministry. Remember that? And you didn't do it. Disobedience is sin. You didn't murder someone. You didn't sleep around. You didn't get drunk, you sinned. Go back to the place of departure. See, these are times that we can reflect, and from trumpets that there are 10 days of serious introspection, a time to consider the sins of the previous year, before you get to atonement, before you get to the blood. He says, this is known as the ten days of awe. So let's bring that down practically, because remember, there's the practical, the spiritual and the prophetic meaning to all these divine appointments. God says, look at your life. Hey, Paula, how are you treating others? What's the condition of your heart? What's your attitude like? Where are your priorities? Is there any unforgiveness? What do you need to release? What do you need to be forgiven? Of what's out of order in your life? I want you to examine, I want you to stop and halt. It's a day when the people of Israel would Take stock of their spiritual condition and make the necessary changes to ensure that the upcoming year would be pleasing to God. Because here's what the Jewish people believe, that that is the time. Think about this, that your name is written in the book of life or the book of death, and that that would be for the next year. You'd have a life year or death year. Separation from God or oneness with God. Now what do we believe? We believe our name is written in the Lamb's book of life. If we're saved. And God's saying, I want you to really think about that. You. You believe that in 1976. But how far have you gone since then? You're just going through the motions. Life has changed, your marriage has changed, your body has changed, your mind has changed. God says, but I don't change. And the primary action that took place for them to consider whether they were in the book of life or the book of death was the blowing of the shofar on that day. And it's key to experience that as the transformative power of God in your life. So point number one for the day of Trumpets, there's a sound clearing call. There's a sound from heaven one day. The sound of the shofar is a spiritual alarm clock. The sounding of the shofar ushers us into this greater intimacy with God. And we've all seen it, right? You've been in church, and there's always someone that has a shofar that blow it, and it's in the middle of a pastor's preaching, right? And we're kind of like, oh, yeah. We don't really understand it. And people don't always do it at the right time either. God doesn't just go around blowing a shofar at any time. There are appointed times. God wants us to encounter us spiritual alarm. He created us for his pleasure and desire. He created us to love us. But we get all this stuff in life and we lose our way. We forget our true purpose, intimacy with God, oneness with him. And the sound of the chauffeur is like a spiritual alarm clock, a call to return through repentance, which means turn our wills and our ways to line with God's word and his will. It's a call to turn from our transgressions and experience a deeper connection with God, with others, and even with ourselves. Because sin is separation. Repentance is reconnection. The second point I'd want you to get is the sound of the shofar is the sound of new beginnings and blessings. Remember this time of 10 Days of Awe is a time where God says, clean slate, do over. You get to a new beginning. So what happened on the Feast of Trumpets that Sarah and Abraham conceived Isaac in their old age? According to Jewish tradition, on Rosh Hashanah, the blowing of trumpets. Rachel conceived Joseph, Hannah conceived Samuel after years of barrenness. So do you think all this is coincidence? There's not even a Hebrew word for coincidence. What it is, is spiritually, it's a time of life and blessing. The greatest thing that the covenant of Abraham would give the earth is sons and daughters. They all conceived during this time of trumpets. So the blowing of the shofar reminds us how God breathed life into Adam spiritually. Rosh Hashanah, the blowing of trumpets, is a time that we go from barrenness to blessing. Think about who all I just listed. Sarah was barren, Hannah was barren. And barrenness means that something injured you. Watch that. You are hamstrung. You got this hamstring so you. You couldn't produce effectively, you couldn't bring forth. And this is why repentance is so important. Because somebody hurt you over the last year. Somebody lied on you, somebody abandoned you. Maybe you hurt yourself. Maybe you hear this voice of the enemy and God saying, stop. I love you, Paula. Stop with that nonsense. I want you to talk my talk, not their talk. I want you to wash your soul with my word, not the news. I want you to receive the promises I have for you. I want you to believe that I am God and my promises are yea and amen. See, God wants us to have faith like Abraham and Sarah, so that we can conceive and receive the blessings that he has for us. And that's hard for a lot of us. It's if you've got dysfunction and the enemy is sent in things to trigger you that are still operating in your life from your childhood. You're like, oh, I want blessing. I believe for blessing. But the reality is we operate more in cursing than we do in blessing. We have a mindset more of, oh, I'm just a failure. I'm no good. It's not going to happen for me. Instead of, today is the day the Lord has made. I will rejoice and be glad in it. God's promises are coming to pass in my life. The same way that God breathed life into Adam, he wants to breathe new life into you. The third reason the shofar is sounded is it's a sound of freedom. I'm telling you, just like the woman in Luke chapter 13 that was bound for 18 years. And the Bible declares that when Jesus looked at her and it wasn't that he saw her looking, she saw. And he saw eternity through him, that immediately she was loosed. And he says, it's the kingdom of God. And he compares it to the kingdom of God. This is so important because this is a time of freedom. I don't care how long you've been going to church, 18 years sitting under the pastor, but you're still bound. This is a season that God's bringing freedom. This is a season. You can believe it. And faith moves mountains. Rosh Hashanah. The blowing of Trump is a day that God changes destinies. According to Jewish tradition, it's on Rosh Hashanah blowing of trumpets that Joseph was freed from prison in Egypt. His freedom came after he was called to interpret those disturbing dreams of Pharaoh. God used two things to promote him to the highest place. Only two things. You think you need all these things? Well, I don't have a Yale degree. Probably a good thing. Or Harvard. I. Probably a good thing. Well, I'm not a theologian. Not a bad thing. They didn't work God out of you. He had two things ready. He could interpret dreams and he was a good manager. That's all he did. And God used him at the highest level. His skills were used by God to place him over all the supply of Egypt, which ultimately saved all of Israel. You know God's going to favor you. I'm a testament of that. And he'll put you in a strategic position. A position your education, your looks, your age, your failures, your successes cannot place you. But God will take you from a pit. And boy, do I know what a pit is, like many of them in my life. To a palace. Not because you're worthy. Remember, this is coming to the day of atonement. In the worthiness of. In my life is because of the blood of Jesus. My righteousness according to the book of Isaiah was like filthy rags. So what makes us righteous, which means in right standing with God? The blood of Jesus. What took me from the pit to the palace is a tender heart that wasn't so stubborn and prideful and arrogant that I just keep falling on my face and saying, God, I need you, God, I love you, God, I don't want to miss the mark. God, I'm sorry for that failure. You told me a good woman, a good man, falls down seven times, but keeps getting back up. The reality is you had to go through all that you went through because the pit was forming you. The fire was forging you. And the pit is a birthplace for positioning you. Positioning you. Say, whoa. I thought I was living in the palace, and then all of a sudden I was with my daddy. I was with my brothers. Next thing I know, I'm sold into something. Slavery. Life can change on you just like that. And you can be in a place right now, I don't know what pit it is. A pit of depression, a pit of discouragement, a pit of misfortune, a pit of suffering. But God, during this season, says reset. You see, it was on this date that centuries later that the harsh labor of enslaved enslavement ended for the people of Israel. They planted the first seeds of the upcoming redemption, which would lead them ultimately to Passover and the Lord's bringing you into freedom. The shofar is sounding right now, and God's saying, be free from anxiety. Be free from fear, Be free from doubt, Be free from bitterness. Be free from restrictions, bondage, limitations, unforgiveness, hatred, anger, and every demonic entity that is working against you and keeping you in a place of stuck. Ten days, my friend, to say get unstuck. Ten days for a new start for you, a new season. That's what the importance of this is, that we aren't going. Oh, that was just the Old Testament. God's saying, look behind you to know what can be ahead of you. What God did for Joseph and the Israelites, he'll do for you. I want you to raise your voice like a shofar and begin to cry out to the Lord for your freedom. Remember John 8:36, says who? The son set free is free indeed. No more bondage this year. Every generational curse broken, all triggers in you identified and have no hold on you. There is a true place of freedom, I believe, promise you, and it's only found in Christ. But without trumpets, without repentance, you don't get to salvation. And salvation is where we're going. Salvation is the fullness of God's plan. Then you get to harvest, then you get to tabernacle. The sound of the shofar point number four is the sound of change. And when there's change, there's transformation. There's also hope. Rosh means head, as in the beginning. Shanah means year. It means changes. This is a time to experience change and transformation in our life. The shofar sound symbolizes things that can and will ultimately change. And that promise of change will instill hope in our hearts, reminding us that our future will be better than our past. Ultimately, the shofar points to the ultimate and blessed hope that Jesus is returning again. I'm going to say it over and over again. Maranatha, come quickly. That our Messiah, our King, our Christ, Jesus Christ of Nazareth is coming back. Prophetically. The first spring biblical festivals, Leviticus chapter 23, were fulfilled at Jesus first coming. He died as the Passover lamb. He rose from the dead on first fruits. He poured out the Holy Spirit on Pentecost. Those have all been fulfilled. That's when the church was birthed. So watch what the fall holidays are awaiting. These are rehearsals we do because their prophetic fulfillment is at the second coming. The Feast of Trumpets is to remind us that the final shofar, and who knows when that's going to blow in heaven. I'm getting excited thinking about it. I'm going old school to camp meeting in my mind right now. And I remember the pastor saying there is a day he is returning and they'd blow the shofar and I didn't know what they were doing. We'd do a Jericho march. We do everything. We just threw everything in, throwing oil, prayer cloths. We put it all in there because return quickly the trumpet of God that will be sounded at the return of the Lord. I'll leave you with this. First Corinthians, chapter 15, verse 51, 54. Behold, I show you a mystery. We shall not all sleep, but we shall all be changed in a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trump. There it is. No longer will it be blown by a man, but heaven will release that spiritual alarm and that trumpet sound. For the trumpet shall sound and the dead shall be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed. For this corruptible must put on incorruption, and this mortal must put on immortality. So when this corruptible shall put on incorruption, and this mortal shall put on immortality, then shall be brought to pass the saying that is written. Death is swallowed up in victory. If you put that back to the Leviticus. Chapter 23:24. Speak unto the children of Israel, saying, In the seventh month and the first day of the month shall you have a Sabbath, a memorial of blowing of trumpets as a holy convocation. What was the sound of the trumpet? A memorial, a remembrance for? Find it in Numbers, chapter 10. The Lord commanded Moses to take those trumpets, to use them for the calling of the assembly, for the journey of the camps into the desert, the wilderness. And when they blew that trumpet, they were to take their journey following the Lord. Today when we hear that sound, we remember the Lord is with us and the Lord is Coming for us. Don't ever forget that this is not your home. You are vacationing in this place called earth with a purpose, with a dash between two dates. Don't make miss it. You have been redeemed by the blood of Jesus Christ. Now when you ask yourself, what should I do about that? When I recognize that, Well, I think 365 days, we should honor that. But when I look and go, okay, God says, this is the time, September 22nd through October 13th. I want you to reflect, I want you to contemplate, I want you to halt. I want you to be still before me. I want you to renew your covenant with me. Think about all these things. What do we do? I'm going to pray a lot. I'm going to fast, I'm going to get in God's word. I'm going to push away the plate and I'm going to give to God. I'm going to worship, I'm going to do my spiritual practices, I'm going to serve. I'm going to do things that I know bring me closer to greater intimacy with God. And God told the children of Israel, leave your place. They had to leave, go for tabernacles and they would several times a year have to go up to Jerusalem, which was where the temple was. And what would they do? Deuteronomy 16, do not stand before me empty handed. But let every man who is the head of the household, and he covered that house, let every man bring forth an offering that is acceptable and pleasing. So God didn't tell them what to give, but he said, give. Honor me for this. Honor me that you're going to have your name in the book of life for this next year and not the book of death. Honor me for what I brought you out of this past year. Because there was all this time of forgetting God and remembering God. This is a time God says, remember me. Don't be so busy in your life. So we give not to get. But when you honor God, this is the thing. People are like, ah, you're doing this for that. Not at all. This is the thing. When you honor God, it gets his attention. When you give to God, God goes. He calls it a smell before him, like a sweet aroma. There's Paula worshiping again. And there's no way that you can ever out give God. He gave his best through his son. And God loves to bless his children because he's a good father. Now I can't say this is the blessing coming to you. I just know God's a Good Daddy. And there's no way that when I give that I do not receive back from the Lord exactly what God knows I need the most. Maybe that's correction. Maybe that's release of finances. Maybe that's an open door. Maybe it's chastisement or suffering. Really, Paula, whatever God knows I need most to be who he has called me to be. That's what I believe God for. It's that simple. So let's honor God. Let's offer to Him a worthy offering because of the blood covenant.

If you died right now, would you know that heaven would be your home? That ultimately you'll be a part of that second coming of the Lord that you will spend forever with them? Is your life abundant here on earth because he didn't just die to give you life in eternity, he died to give you life here. Jesus said, I have come to give them life and life more abundantly. And that literally translates one that is superior in quality and quantity. Wow. What an amazing thing that he was crucified, went to hell, destroyed death, held on the grave, and rose again on the third day for me. He loved me like that right now, if you're ready to stop struggling to be assured of your salvation, pray this prayer with me. Say, father God, I come to you in the name of Jesus. Forgive me for all my sin. I receive Jesus Christ as my personal Lord and Savior. Say, devil, let go of my life. I'm done with you. In the name of Jesus, I receive salvation. Now if you prayed that prayer, welcome to the family of God. I say it often. It's not the last step, but it is the first step and I'd like to help you take the rest of those steps. Podcast: Real America’s Voice (iHeartPodcasts)
In this special episode, Paula White dives into the spiritual significance of the biblical feast seasons, with a focus on Rosh Hashanah (Feast of Trumpets) and Yom Kippur (Day of Atonement). She explores their prophetic, practical, and spiritual meanings for Christians today, emphasizing the themes of repentance, introspection, divine appointments, and preparation for the return of Christ. Listeners are guided through the scriptural foundations of these feasts and encouraged to approach this season as a time of renewal, worship, and reconnection with God.
[02:59–09:10]
Three Major Feasts:
Paula teaches that God established three main feast seasons in the Bible:
Prophetic Aspects:
“All these feasts point towards the blood covenant of Jesus Christ… Jesus is our atonement lamb. He became the sacrificial lamb of God to take away sin once and for all…” (Paula White, 04:03)
Tabernacles as ‘Party Time’:
Paula refers to Tabernacles as a time of celebration — “That’s about harvest, the return of the Lord, the second coming of Jesus… Our ultimate promise.” (Paula White, 05:05)
[09:10–13:45]
Theme of Rosh Hashanah:
The main theme is repentance and self-examination — “God says, For 10 days, I want you to really consider your ways… Check your motive, check your hearts.” (Paula White, 06:43)
Cultural Relevance:
Paula critiques today’s fast-paced, screen-filled culture leading to a lack of reflection:
“We don’t think very much, we don’t reflect. And God says, I want you to stop, halt. And I am setting up this divine appointment.” (Paula White, 09:23)
Definition of Repentance:
She describes repentance as “movement back to the point of departure… You’ll never advance past your last act of disobedience.” (Paula White, 09:40)
Introspection:
The practice is “to consider the sins of the previous year, before you get to atonement, before you get to the blood.” (Paula White, 10:23)

Period of Reflection:
Paula urges:
“This is the time, September 22nd through October 13th. I want you to reflect, I want you to contemplate, I want you to halt. I want you to be still before me. I want you to renew your covenant with me.” (Paula White, 24:27)
Spiritual Disciplines:
She encourages prayer, fasting, worship, giving, and acts of service:
