Good morning, everyone. Thank you so much for tuning in to American Sunrise. I am Emily Finn here in West Palm beach along with Dr. Gina. Terrence Bates is in our Denver newsroom. David Brody has the day off. Good morning, you guys. Great to be with you this morning. Terrence, there is a whole lot of news for us to talk about.
Terrence Bates
Oh, yeah, a lot happened overnight. And like the nerd that I am, I was up until about 11 o' clock watching election results come in from Indiana, Ohio and Michigan. So let's talk about those primaries specifically in Indiana. Yeah, I'm just that much of a nerd. Actually, let's get with Ohio first because there's an interesting race there. Vivek Ramaswamy actually won the Republican nomination for governor. It was a landslide. It wasn't even close. He sets up a race now against Democrat Amy Acton that will be in November. He very well has a decent chance, I think, of becoming the next governor of Ohio. But the real interesting races were in Indiana. State level candidates backed by President Trump had a really good showing both In Indiana and Ohio. So far, five of the seven Trump backed candidates for state Senate in Indiana have won their races. A sixth race is just too close to call. But there's a good chance the Trump backed candidate in that race could win. One incumbent in that seventh race has actually won. So President Trump's endorsement really still rings very heavy. It holds a lot of weight. Dr. Gina and Emily. And I'm sure President Trump is very happy. Long story short, he primaried those seven Republican state senators and it's very rare that a president would jump into a state Senate race. But he primaried them because if you remember, the President was calling for the redrawing of state congressional maps there in Indiana, and those seven Republicans refused to fall. And so President Trump said, okay, you don't want to get on the bandwagon, that's okay. We're going to primary you and force you off. And at least in five of those races, Emily, President Trump was successful.
Emily Finn
Yeah, absolutely. And like you said, Terrence, especially in a midterm election year, this is interesting to see how much weight President Trump's endorsement does carry. We know obviously it does carry a lot, but five out of seven is looking pretty good. Specifically there in Indiana. Terrence, I believe it that you were up late. You know all of your facts about this. Gina. He was definitely getting all of that information as it was coming in.
Dr. Gina
I was watching the Democrat primary debate. No, I'm joking. For California.
Terrence Bates
In California.
Dr. Gina
That wasn't even where that was going. I actually didn't watch it.
Terrence Bates
Didn't you, Dr. Gina, you thought you were gonna get me. I was watching that too much.
Dr. Gina
I didn't watch it, but I did set an alarm to watch it because I meant to watch it, but I ended up out with my husband and some friends and I wasn't doing anything like that at nine o' clock at night. But what I wanted to say about this, that is so key. Cuz there've been a lot of questions about does Trump still carry his weight? He's coming into the midterms after that, will he be a lame duck?
Terrence Bates
He.
Dr. Gina
And then we had this Florida race where his endorsed candidate did not prevail. So there was like this question like MAGA looking around like going, what's going on? What is so amazing about the victories last night in Indiana is that these were incumbents, these were primaries against incumbents. Okay. So as somebody who's been involved my whole life in races just like this, you just don't run against an incumbent. You don't do it you don't win. They know the lobbyists, so they know where to get the money. They know how to run a campaign. They know how to put their ground game together. You don't endorse against an incumbent. You don't even run against an incumbent. I mean, people do it all the time and they lose, I don't know, 90% of the time, maybe more. So that's why, that's what sets this apart. These aren't just Trump endorsement victories. These are Trump endorsement victories against incumbents, which makes them even more impressive and tells you that maybe the rules that the rest of the lame duck presidents have played by won't apply to President Trump. Imagine that.
Terrence Bates
And Dr. Gina and Emily, I would argue the bigger picture here is that this is a warning sign to candidates and incumbents in general who don't necessarily want to fall in line with the Trump agenda. You can lose your job. If you don't get on the bus, you can lose your job. And this is just a warning sign and an example to others. So it's going to be interesting to see how all of that ultimately plays out in terms of policy over the next four or five months leading up to the midterms.
Dr. Gina
Yes. And I want to get to the Bible verse, but one more thing on that. It's not just the Trump agenda, because I want to make this really clear because I think it's important to discern because there is a divide in MAGA right now. I think it's important to say this is, this is MAGA across the board. Right. They want this redistricting put in place and they want their legislatures working for them. Dad Gummett, that's their job. Right. And so I so appreciate that President Trump stood up for this. I think it's really, it says a lot that he did and that he took the risk to put his name behind these candidates. But this is something that was 100% across the Republican Party. This is something everyone wanted. And it was really smart what he just did. Yeah. All right, we'll get to the Bible verse right now. How about that? Are we ready? Did you have anything else? Em?
Emily Finn
Not well said, Gina. You wrapped it up perfectly with a nice little bow.
Dr. Gina
I was worried about the Vivek thing because I hadn't been watching polls or anything. My son loves Vivek. He's a very, very Ohio centric person. He's getting married there next week, by the way. And so I will be in Ohio. But Vivek had made that comment about Christianity, and I Thought, I don't know what's going to happen. But apparently it didn't make big head waves because he, he won with 89%1 huge. Yes, it means definitely whoever is in the opponent's seat is not somebody that Ohioans want. Okay, From Corinthians, the second Corinthians verses 4:18. While we do not look at the things which are seen, but the things which are not seen. For the things which are seen are temporary, but the things which are not seen are eternal. This one so critical. I think I try to really focus on this a lot because, because Satan is going to whisper. We are going to see illusions, mirages right from, from demons all the time in our lives. But what is unseen is what is real to God. It's not what is seen, it's what is unseen. That's the mystery of faith. That's what's so beautiful about our faith. And that's also why the people who don't seek truth and don't know Jesus don't understand. They can't understand. President Trump is now putting Project Freedom on hold as the White House says new diplomatic progress with Iran could open the door at a broader to a broader cease fire agreement. The U. S. Led operation was designed to escort commercial ships through the Strait of Hormuz after months of conflict, blockades and attacks at the region. In a true social post, the president wrote, based on the request of Pakistan and other countries, the tremendous military success that we have had during the campaign against the country of Iran and additionally the fact that great progress has been made toward a complete and final agreement with representatives of Iran. We have mutually agreed that while the blockade will remain in full force and effect, Project Freedom, the movement of ships through the Strait of Hormuz will be paused for a short period to see whether or not the agreement can be finalized and signed. Joining us now with analysis rap chief White House correspondent BG Brian Glenn. Your thoughts, Brian?
Brian Glenn
You know what, it's a little bit of a rainy morning here in front of the wet. I could probably do away with the umbrella right now. Yeah, well. Nope, my hair's getting wet. Nope, not going to do that. All right.
Terrence Bates
Hey, B, so what are your thoughts on kind of these latest developments there with Iran, particularly Project Freedom, that it's on hold and all that? It seems like every single day there's a new headline coming when it comes to Iran. Yeah.
Brian Glenn
They spent all day, Terrence, trying to explain what this Project Freedom is all about as far as its purpose, you know, why it's there. Why it's in place, and then just, it seemed like hours after that is when President Trump put a pause on it. Now he's doing this because the only way that we know any negotiations will work is if we allow some type of diplomacy to see if the Iranians will, you know, engage in any kind of Connecticut activity. Which, by the way, if you want to look at the war itself against Iran, President Trump has said it because yesterday, their military has been demolished. There is no Iranian military. They have no way of launching a drone. They have no way of. They have no air force. Their ships are at the bottom of the ocean. Okay, so from. From a war standpoint, President Trump was asked yesterday as well, and it is, you could say over in that regard. So now we just have to get some of the diplomacy. And of course, you talk about the uranium and the enrichment, and they can't have a nuclear weapon. They still need to move that uranium out of there. But the only way to really test the Iranians right now on whether or not they want to make a deal or they want to be peaceful is to allow that to happen, which means move out and let these ships go freely. Now, I will say this. It's been reported that the Iranians have collected just over a million dollars in selective tolls that they've charged some of these vessels. And that does outrage some people. But I would throw it on the other hand and say, look, if you live in New York City, New York City collects about one to three million dollars a day in tolls for the American people to drive into that city. I'd much rather be disgruntled about that than the Iranians trying to get a few pennies in comparative what they used to get. But let's see what happens today. I mean, yesterday, Terrence, they spent all day trying to educate the people on Project Freedom, and then hours later, put
Terrence Bates
a pause on it, put it on hold.
Emily Finn
We will definitely be keeping an eye on what happens today. Brian. Brian, I am so excited to ask you about this. I was glued to social media all day yesterday, and the only thing I was seeing was Secretary of State Marco Rubio. He spoke to reporters yesterday about the conflict in Iran taking aim at War Powers Act. This comes just ahead of Rubio's planned trip to Rome and the Vatican. I want to play a quick clip of what he had to say.
Dr. Gina
The War Powers act is unconstitutional 100%. Now, this is not the position of me, not the position of the President of the United States. Now, this is the position of every single President that has occupied this position since the day that law passed. It's completely unconstitutional.
Unknown Anchor
Now we comply with it in terms
Dr. Gina
of like, notification because we want to preserve good relations with Congress. Right.
Terrence Bates
And we do that.
Dr. Gina
But even as a senator, I would say that the War powers Act is 100% unconstitutional.
Emily Finn
Brian, I do want to stay on topic here. I want to see what you have to say about what the secretary's remarks were there, but also the overwhelming positive response that he received for filling in for Caroline.
Brian Glenn
Yeah, it was a packed house. That briefing room, I would say, was on par of what you would see if President Trump was going to step in front of the podium. It was absolutely packed. I started out in the front and ended up kind of being in the back. I thought it was. I'd be in a better position to ask the question. That wasn't going to happen. There was so many people in there. He covered every topic, from his DJ skills to Iran to the Pope to a little bit of every. To the War Powers act as well. He did a phenomenal job. People really gave him a lot of high praise for stepping in front of the microphone for just over an hour taking questions. And really you can tell that this was kind of new to him. He made a couple comments, Emily, that I'm not really quite sure who is, who in this room are the good guys up front? Is there X's on some people's seats making a joke about that? No, I think he did a phenomenal job. And in terms of meeting with the, with, with, you know, going over to Italy, there was a lot of Italian journalists behind me that were screaming out questions for him to answer that, wanting to get a little bit more details on his trip to Italy. He didn't weigh in too much on that, but we'll see who the next guest will be filling in for the Caroline Levitt position. And so far yesterday, I think the briefing enjoyed the appearance by Marco Rubio.
Dr. Gina
Well, the memes were fantastic. Brian. So of Marco wearing a blonde wig. So funny. All right, Brian, you keep us apprised. Thank you so much for being with us as always.
Terrence Bates
Thanks, Bea. Thank you.

President Trump and five Indiana state Senate candidates that he backed in Tuesday's primary in that state are celebrating victory this morning. In all, the commander in chief took aim at 7 Republican Hoosier State state senators after they opposed his call for the state to redraw voting districts Tuesday. The president exacted his revenge on most of them as five of the seven candidates he backed to unseat those candidates won their primaries. As of late last night, one of the races was too close to call and the one incumbent won elsewhere. Former presidential candidate Vivek Ramaswamy won his primary and now heads to November's general election for Ohio governor. The US national debt now exceeds the country's gross domestic product. This is the first time this has happened since World War II. The current national debt is at about $31.27 trillion. Meantime, the total value of all goods and services produced here in the United States right Now, that's the GDP is at about $31.22 trillion. The increased national debt is largely blamed on more governments and spending on interest payments, along with the increased costs associated with Medicare and Social Security, among other things. The US Is now spending more money to pay interest on our debt than to fund national defense or even Medicare. Experts predict the problem will not get any better anytime soon with the national debt expected to hit $53 trillion by the year 2036. Well, this is not really news, but just want to kind of remind you, gas is up 50% from before the war with Iran. You're now paying 31 cents more for a gallon of regular gas just in the past week. The average price nationwide spiked to about $4.48 on Tuesday. Triple A and other industry groups attribute the massive increase to the global energy crisis caused by the ongoing situation in Iran. In the Strait of Hormuz you probably Remember back in 2022, gas prices hit $5 a gallon on average shortly after the war between Russia and Ukraine began. That's a quick check of your headlines. We'll have more headlines coming up throughout the day. But now let's get a quick check of your forecast. Weather Nation meteorologist Tracy Anthony joining us with what you can expect. So, Tracy, I've got a bone to pick with you because you know, I do not like snow. And even though you warned me, I still wasn't ready. It snowed here in the Denver area yesterday. It's not horrible, but I think everybody was so scared that schools closed here, they canceled school. It's a snow day and I'm just like, really? Come on in May. We're in May and we're dealing with snow. Aye, aye, aye.
Tracy Anthony
That's probably why they canceled it. You know, it's just no one expected a big snowstorm in May in Minnesota. They never canceled school. So snow, cold, you walked. It wasn't bad. But Terrance, I want to show you a couple videos because you may say it wasn't that bad. But look at areas like Estes Park. We have had close to two feet of snow. So there's definitely areas where that snow is making some big impacts. Estes park is just one area, Rocky Mountain national park, obviously higher elevations, but we did have a good amount of snow stacking up across Denver suburbs as well. So anywhere from three to about six inches. So at least the roadways were a little bit warmer so they could handle it for the most part. But here across the nation, we still have the snow and cold that's impacting areas of Colorado. And we've got a good amount of storm activity that's making its way across parts of Tennessee and into the Deep South. We're starting off the morning with some localized flash flood warnings. Memphis was under a flash flood warning earlier this morning and some strong storms rolling into to areas like Chattanooga, Huntsville. And we even have some stronger storms that are developing across parts of Central Texas. If I take the lightning off, you can see these isolated cells and good sized hail already being reported with these few isolated rumbles of thunder. So it's going to be the south and the Gulf coast that we're really watching throughout the day today and into tomorrow for a chance for flooding and and severe storms. Terrence.
Terrence Bates
All right, Tracy, thank you so much. And don't forget, folks, log on to our website or to the Weather Nation website. Download it, you can see it down there and make sure that you stay tuned with all the weather that might be happening in your neighborhood. Thanks, Traci. We'll have your hometown forecast next hour.
Tracy Anthony
Yeah, don't forget to drop your hometown forecast in the Getter chat or the rumble YouTube chat. I'll look for them there.
Terrence Bates
All right. Thanks so much. Coming up, new details are emerging this morning in the White House correspondents shooting as investigators say a Secret Service agent survived after a buckshot pellet hit his bulletproof vest. We've got the details next.
Emily Finn
Welcome back to AMERICAN sunrise. New details are emerging this morning about the suspect accused in the White House correspondence dinner shooting, including how a Secret Service agent may have survived a direct hit thanks to a bulletproof vest. Federal prosecutors say ballistic evidence shows suspect Cole Thomas Allen fired a shotgun towards security officers during the chaotic attack during outside of the Washington Hilton. Investigators say at least one buckshot pellet struck a Secret Service agent in the chest but was stopped by the agent's protective vest. Joining us now with analysis is former Secret Service agent and former Homeland Security Department adviser Charles Marino. Charles, good morning. Thank you so much for being with us. What do these revelations tell us about how the president is being protected right now? I think there are understandably a lot of concerns.
Unknown Anchor
Yeah, there are. And certainly there will be changes after the assessments that are conducted by the Secret Service on everything that went right during this incident, which included stopping the threat ultimately and what needs to be worked on or should be changed going forward at these types of events. Look, the Secret Service mission has never been as important as it is today as we face threats coming at us from all over the place, including specifically at the president and others in his administration. So the planning needs to be extremely thorough. It needs to remain unpredictable to our adversaries. And the Secret Service needs the support of its parent department, the Department of Homeland Security, to make sure one, that they're getting the money they need from Congress to get themselves the technologies, the manpower and the other forms of equipment that they need to conduct this mission.
Terrence Bates
Charles, as a former Secret Service agent, I'm sure you still have friends and colleagues who are in the service. You at least have contacts within the service itself. What seems to be the atmosphere and attitude, particularly following the shooting there at the correspondent's Dinner within the department in terms of securing the president and just overall leadership, if you will?
Unknown Anchor
Well, I can tell you that with the new leadership that came in under the Trump administration, it does serve as a breath of fresh air in this first year to see what changes are going to be made. I know they're focusing very hard, despite this current shutdown that just ended, to increase hiring, to go out and make sure that they have the resources to staff all of these large events. You know, the problem with the Secret Service historically has always been they've been called upon to do more with less. And while that sounds like a great motto, it's not good for success in all cases. The resources need to match the demand. So, you know, the dedication to the mission is there from the men and women of the Secret Service. That's never been in doubt. I think that's unimpeachable, and we saw examples of that during the White House Correspondents Dinner. But in general, they've got to be right 100% of the time. They can't be wrong. Think of any other job that exists out there where you can't show up and make a mistake that's fair.
Dr. Gina
Well, it's really true. It's really alarming to see how many mistakes have been made when we just look back over the past couple of years and how many lives have been lost because of really makes us feel like we're just in a different place than we used to be. Charles is that it, or is it a weakened protection system from former administrations? What really, if you could identify one area where we could focus so that the lives of our political leaders, presidents, and people sitting in an audience like, bless his heart, Corey, was that horrible day. What could we do? What is the one thing.
Unknown Anchor
Well, we need a lot more adults in the room, it seems, especially in politics, who, you know, sometimes, especially what we're hearing from the left here, they don't think that their words have consequences or that their words don't serve as a call to action. When they do. We've got to remember what people are saying falls on a wide variety of different people, and they're going to interpret those words, in some cases as a call to action. And that's a very dangerous place, considering that the Secret Service is paying attention to lone actors, organized groups, nation states that are adversaries. So they're paying attention to this wide variety of threats. And I think the last thing that they would say that they need is elected officials kind of stirring the pot here and activating somebody who probably, if they had not been incited to act, wouldn't have acted on their own. So it's a very dangerous place, which is why the Secret Service is paying attention to this, as they always do. They're always learning different lessons from each of these incidents, both involving themselves and other security services around the world that are tasked with protecting their leaders. And so each and every day they've got to show up and get better. And I think that's what they strive to do. And we can ask no more of that.
Emily Finn
Charles, I do want to turn now to what's happening with the Department of Homeland Security. We're learning now that while the record long shutdown may be over, officials say the damage from the shutdown could take months to repair, adding that it could take up to six months for tsa, fema, the Secret Service and other agencies to fully Recover from the 70, 75 day funding standoff. How concerned should Americans be about the security gaps and staffing problems the department is faced with right now?
Unknown Anchor
Yeah, absolutely. Americans should be concerned. This was a completely irresponsible forced act by Democrats because of policy differences with the executive branch and this administration on immig policies. Look, elections have consequences. We've heard that before. And the executive branch gets to implement the national security strategies that they see work best for the country. In this case, President Trump prioritized, rightfully so, securing the border and enforcing the immigration laws. And so I think to have a policy dispute that then turns into turning an entire department hostage has come with some real negative impacts on our homeland security here. The department in general and all of its components lost thousands of men and women that work for the department who were forced to make a choice, either go find another job and provide for their families or stay in the department and don't get paid for 72 days. And some found that decision to be unachievable and they left the department and took jobs. So these replacing these people is not going to be a quick thing to do for the department when you talk about extensive training that takes place in many of these law enforcement components.
Emily Finn
Charles Marino, thank you so much for joining us today. Appreciate you being with us this morning.
Terrence Bates
You're welcome.
Unknown Anchor
Have a great day.
Emily Finn

Stephanie Van Watson
All righty.
Dr. Gina
Is that real? Am I reading that right? All right. I've never been there. Or maybe I have been there and I don't remember seeing it. But anyway, we've got a lot of people in our chat visiting the Ozarks, talking about their visits to the Ozarks. Got to see Branson, got to see Top of the Rocks. Silver Dollar City is great. Lake of the Ozarks. Amazing. It's always fun to chat with you guys. If you're not in our chat, get in there with us, especially on YouTube. We have a great time. Time now for today's health news sponsored by the wellness company under the Microscope. Today, a deadly hantavirus outbreak has left a cruise ship stranded off the coast of Africa as health officials investigate fears of this rare human to human transmission. This Dutch flagged expedition ship, MV Hondius was quarantined near Cape Verde after at least seven people became ill. Three of them died. There are eight people in total who have been sick or diagnosed. Now the World Health Organization says two cases have been lab confirmed as Hantavirus. Again, this is a rare but potentially deadly disease usually spread through contact with rodents. However, the Andes strain is one of the only variants that is capable of human to human transmission. It has only ever been identified in I believe Chile and Argentina, which is exactly the port where the first two victims that fell ill to this had come in from. Family physician Dr. Scott Miskovich told CNN, When I first read this, I thought that was a misprint. If the evidence points to human transmission, this will change the future of travel medicine, infectious disease and tropical medicine. Now we're learning that Moderna is collaborating with Korea University to develop a vaccine. I'll tell you something, when I first read this, I started to say I really wanted to talk about it on the show and had a little bit of a talk with one of my producers who was saying, oh, you know, we don't want to get anybody worried about this. We don't want to start the conspiracy theories. Gina, just calm down. I said no, no, no, no. I think this is human to human transmission. I don't think it's rat to human because it spread too fast on a cruise ship. I'm worried about vaccines. I'm worried about, you know, I'm worried about gain of function. I'm just gonna say it right here, and if I please, Lord, let me be wrong in my suspicions here. But fool me once, shame on you. Fool me twice, you know how it goes. So when I look back at Covid, I'm just saying I think we should be aware, I think we should be alert, I think we should be asking questions, and I think our government should be transparent with us on this situation. A groundbreaking study shows that there is a safe and inexpensive potential cancer treatment. It is a drug many of us already know about. Ivermectin. This new study shows that individuals who took ivermectin, the parasite fighting medication that gained fame during COVID along with the drug menbendazole, saw some great results in their battles with cancer. This incredibly promising result has Americans wondering where they can get ivermectin and bendazole. That is made in the United States, and that is where the wellness company comes in. You see and hear from their doctors all the time on this network. You know, their products are the gold standard when it comes to keeping you safe and healthy. Wellness company is making 100% American made Ivermectin and Minbendazole available to RAV viewers. That's you at an incredibly affordable price. Say no to big pharma's greed. No to big pharma's poisons. Yes to a company you can trust to bring you safe, affordable, effective treatments. If you or someone you love is interested in trying ivermectin and benazole, then I urge you to go to tbc, TWC Health slash RAV today. Give it an order. Let me try this again. TWC Health, RAV. Use the promo code RAV to save you 10%. All right. Joining me now with more is Alejandro Diaz. Doctor, good morning. Dr. Diaz, I want to give you a chance first to comment on this Hanna virus. It sounds. I have PTSD from COVID Call me off of my conspiracy theories right now.
Dr. Alejandro Diaz
Dr. Gina, good morning. Yes, me too. I'm PTSD from the Covid operation and Hansa virus. Fortunately enough, it's a very rare but serious disease that affects primarily the respiratory system, causing respiratory distress and it starts like a flu like syndrome and it's mostly linked to urine contaminated by rodents. There's no specific treatment. Thank God. There's no vaccine. Vaccine and I hope there's, we don't mess with those kind of vaccines. And yeah, and we, we've heard what happened with three, I guess three passengers in a cruise ship. But it's, it's very rare.
Dr. Gina
Yeah, it is. But it spread human to human and there is a vaccine in development. I don't know if you just saw my report on that. The, these, just these words coming at me and the fact that this was spread human to human and that this is the virus that came it looks like out of Argentina and that the World Health Organization said there were no rats, no rat excrement on the ship. So I just think we need to pay attention. We need to demand transparency from our three letter agencies. Listen, doctor, over the last few weeks we've been talking about the role that anti parasitics could play in fighting cancer. Is it true that the CIA sat on this evidence for decades?
Dr. Alejandro Diaz
It seems so. It seems so that they, not only, not only them but many other agencies and many other intelligence, they, they understood that there are, there's some link between parasites and cancers and the mechanisms of the action and so on. And so I don't know if you read our, our latest article with the Wellness Company with 197 cancer patients that took the compounding of our medication. 25 milligrams of ivermectin and 250 milligrams of menbendazole with amazing results. Dr. Gina we were shocked to learn that 197 patients in this study, 84.4% who took our compounding of ivermectin and mendazole, they show clinical benefit with over 36% of those tumor like no evidence of disease whatsoever and up to 15.8% tumor regression. That is unheard of. We are very, we have a lot of hope. We're very enthusiastic about this. Obviously we need more research but I think this is just great news for everybody.
Dr. Gina
But here's the thing. You have an uphill battle because this is a very cost effective purchase from the Wellness Company. You buy the Ivermectin menbendazole compounded formula, you take it, you're going to spend very, very little money. In fact just a fraction of the money you're going to spend if you decide to instead go through traditional allopathic medicine avenues. Right? There is a lot of money in cancer Doctors, what I'm trying to say, this is a massive industry and a lot of people don't want the wellness company to have success with this. Ivermectin, menbendazole instead of their very expensive treatments. You've got an uphill battle to teach the American public about this.
Dr. Alejandro Diaz
Definitely. Definitely. Dr. Gina. And cancer remains a high and a major health care concern and challenge in the United States. The numbers are shocking. Two million new cases each year where unfortunately one in every two men will develop cancer and one in every three women will develop cancer. I mean, what is going on? Nobody is asking what is going on. Why are we starting to see this rising cancer, this turbo cancers, these rapid developed cancers in younger patients, aggressive cancer, stage four cancers and so on? I mean, that is the main question. This is why.
Dr. Gina
That is the question. But also, if there are affordable, cost effective treatments that are less damaging with fewer side effects to patients, why aren't traditional doctors making this known? We're glad that the wellness company is and we're always happy to have you with us. Dr. Diaz, thank you so much for being here.
Dr. Alejandro Diaz
Thank you, Dr. Gina.
Dr. Gina
All right, more American Sunrise coming at you right after this break. Don't go away.

Head to 1-775COFFEE.com RAV and try rejuvenate pods today. Don't just drink coffee, rejuvenate. Alright. Now that we are caffeinated, it's time to stay awake. Not woke up. And who is woke today? Not President Trump. President Trump is personally directing Senate Republicans to flip Democrat Senator John Fetterman, offering the Pennsylvania senator his total and complete endorsement and according to Politico, more money than he ever dreamed of if he agrees to run as a Republican. The pressure comes as Fetterman has spent months breaking with his own party, blasting the Democrats lurch to the far left and calling out what he describes as a small communist takeover unfolding in his own backyard. For now, Fetterman insists he's staying a Democrat, but Republican sources Say the more likely path may be turning independent and caucusing with the gop, a move that could hand Republicans a powerful new ally and help lock in their Senate majority for discussion. Let's bring in Dr. Gina and Terrence. I would love to see Fetterman switch over to the good guys. Gina, I feel like it's about to happen, like, any day now. He may. He may change. What are your thoughts on Fetterman's future?
Dr. Gina
My theory is this is part of the impetus as to a lot of the disruption taking place in the party right now. Look, he votes with. He votes with the Democrats about, I believe it's like 97% of the time. So Fetterman is not a Republican in his blood. I think he's a rabble rouser. I think. I think he's a little like me. Like, I would not wear a hoodie if I were elected to the Senate. That much I can say. But he's a little like me in that. I think he likes to. He likes to ask a lot of questions. He likes to look at the other side. He likes to examine. He likes to talk to the other side. I'm the same way, and I get in trouble for it all the time. This audience yells at me like, you asked that question. Well, yeah, because I still think things are very sayable in the United States. I think he likes to talk, Terrence. I don't think that his Hart is a Republican. I think he is just playing with issues a little bit, don't you? I don't think he's going to change.
Terrence Bates
He's absolutely a Democrat. And as you said, on most issues, he's going to vote with Democrats. But what I do like is the fact that he's willing to question the fact that he is willing to take a stand that may not be popular within the party if it's something that he believes. And I think he is one of those people that just marches to the beat of. Of his own drummer. Now, his drummer probably drums left. It's funny, he said he is lurching left. And when I think of him and look at him, I think of Lurch, the character. When you said that, I was chuckling, Emily. I was like, yeah, he looks like Lurch, but he's one of those people, I think, that beats to the beats to his own drummer. And if it's something that he believes in or if it's something he's passionate about, he's going to follow that and not go with the group, which is something I commend. Even if I don't necessarily agree. Just really quickly, Dr. Gina, the. That fact that you say that you think you guys are similar, it's funny. I think you guys are polar opposites. You're like five, two, five, three. He's six, seven. You're classy. I'm sorry, When I look at him, not much says classy. Complete opposites in my book. While it's maybe shallow in surface. Complete office. It's my book.
Dr. Gina
I think we have the same missing filter, though, that we tend to say things that just because it's what we're thinking and kind of wondering out loud. And then everybody's. He's like, wait, did you ask that question? You're not allowed to ask that question. Like, actually. And I kind of think that that's how he is. But you're right. I probably come up to his elbow like I do Barron Trump. So he looks like a great big man.
Emily Finn
I do see the similarity. I think you said you don't think that as hard as Republican Gina, but I think you and Fetterman both have good hearts. And I think that is. That's where you guys have something in common. All right, great discussion, everyone.
Dr. Gina
Bell chase, not bell cheese. Sorry, how do you get that in?
Emily Finn
How do you get that in? I was asking M.D.
Dr. Gina
i'm like, MD, are you sure? He's like, yes, it's belt cheese. I'm like, it's weird.
Emily Finn
I've never. All right, the record. The record is straight.
Dr. Gina
I love you.
Emily Finn
Anyway, MD There is more American Sunrise coming your way in two minutes. Don't go anywhere.
Terrence Bates
God bless the usa.
Dr. Gina
In the beginning, God created the heaven and the earth.
Terrence Bates
Welcome back to American Sunrise. It's now time for our moment of faith, which is brought to us by Lee Greenwood and the God Bless the USA Bible. In focus today, what we can learn from the story of Joseph. No, not that Joseph, but Joseph of Egypt. Here to help us analyze this is Jim Moseley. He is the author of Duke of D.C. the American dream. Discovering Jesus disciples. Who they were, what they believed, and what they achieved. Jim also co wrote a book with Dr. Gina. It's called the Days of Creation by heart. Teaching children how God made the world. Around here, though, we simply call him the Bible history guy. Jim Moseley, always good to see you, my friend. So I'm ready for my lesson, sir.
Jim Moseley
Well, good morning, Terrence. Well, you know, we often say that we are where we are because of our families. Well, Joseph was born into a family where deception wasn't the exception. It was the rule. His great grandfather Abraham lies about his wife and gives her to another man to save himself. And his grandfather Isaac repeats the same cowardly act with his wife. His father Jacob plots with his mother to deceive his father to steal a blessing from his twin brother, Esau. And Jacob spends years being deceived in return. And then Joseph's brothers take it further because they're jealous of his talents. They sell their own brother into slavery, and they let their father believe he's dead. For decades, Joseph brothers never had the compassion to ease Jacob's grief by telling him his son was still alive. And this is a pattern of dysfunction passed down generation after generation. So if anyone had a reason to follow it, it was Joseph. And at first, it looks like he will. He's betrayed, sold, falsely accused, thrown into prison, forgotten. But then something changes. Joseph does what no one before him has done. When he's tempted to commit adultery, he refuses. When he's wrongly accused, he doesn't retaliate. When he's forgotten in jail, he doesn't give up. He refuses to become what he came from. And then comes the reversal from prison to the palace, from forgotten to second in command at Egypt, and finally face to face with brothers who destroyed his life. This is the moment that everything could repeat. The moment where he could have them clapped in irons and flung in a dungeon, but instead, Joseph says, you meant evil against me, but God meant it for good. And just like that, the cycle breaks. All Joseph's family, including his aged father, come into Egypt to live as honored guests saved from famine, destined to emerge from Egypt in the Exodus as a nation of millions. Because Joseph hit the moral restart button for the whole family. So the Bible has some good news and some bad news for us. The bad news is the future. It's in our hands. The good news is the future is in our hands. And the really good news is if you place your life in God's hands, even what was meant for evil will turn out for good.
Terrence Bates
Your choices can break those family binds, those family shackles that might bind you right now in the dysfunction that might be deal that you might be dealing with. Great lesson there that. I needed that. Okay. I didn't realize I needed a gym, but I needed that. Thank you so much.
Jim Moseley
My pleasure.
Terrence Bates
All right, we'll talk soon. We're back with the second hour of American Sunrise. After this.
Dr. Gina
Up on the second hour of American Sunrise. President Trump has canceled Operation Freedom in the Strait of Hormuz. Does that mean the war is almost over? Or are hostilities about to begin again? We're going to talk about that also. Supreme Court justices never quarrel. Right? Or do they? We have those details on a little bit of drama going on between the justices. Plus, Kamala Harris has emerged again. You won't believe the reason. All of that. So much more coming up on this second hour of American Sunrise. It kicks off right now. Good morning America. Welcome to American sunrise. Whether it's culture, we have breaking news to share with you.
Terrence Bates
Politics.
Unknown Anchor
President Trump is joining us live now from Florida.
Terrence Bates
We've got you covered. This is what it looks like to be a patriot. We have to protect the American family.
Dr. Gina
The American dream is still alive.
Terrence Bates
I'm David Brody. I'm terrence.
Dr. Gina
And I'm Dr. Gina.
Terrence Bates
Welcome back to this second hour of American Sunrise. I'm Terrence Bates coming to you from our Denver newsroom. Let's bring in Dr. Gina and Emily Finn. They are both in our Palm Beaches newsroom. Not just West Palm beach, but the Palm Beach's David Brody has the morning off. Ladies, good morning to both of you.
Emily Finn
Good morning, T. Good morning, Terrence. It is a beautiful day here in the Palm Beaches.
Dr. Gina
It is. It is.
Stephanie Van Watson
Really?
Terrence Bates
You just, you're just going to rub it in, really.
Emily Finn
So sorry, Terrence. Really. You got to come start the second hour. Come be in studio with us someday. Terrence, enjoy the sunshine.
Terrence Bates
You know what? I wish I could be there right now. It is snowing here, or it did snow overnight here in the Denver area. So I'm a little meshuggan, as some people might say. I don't really like that sort of weather. Dr. Gina, anytime you want to come, come on, we can trade places. I know this is right up your alley.
Dr. Gina
Oh, it is. I love the summer and the winter in Colorado.
Emily Finn
I apologize, Terrence. I didn't know it was snowing there in May. Snow in May, Is that normal?
Terrence Bates
I know, right?
Emily Finn
That's crazy.
Terrence Bates
Snow in May.
Dr. Gina
That's not really normal.
Terrence Bates
Exactly.
Dr. Gina
But thank God, because they were so worried about fires when I was out there just about a month ago, they were so worried because they'd had so little snow all winter. Emily. I went there and literally couldn't ski. Couldn't ski. Tried to ski for half a day and gave up because I was going to die because I kept hitting these ruts of just bare ground in the middle of the mountain. It was crazy.
Emily Finn
It sounds like we're going to be seeing Terrence hitting the slopes in May.
Dr. Gina
Yeah. I don't have pictures of.
Terrence Bates
Yeah. No. Not going to happen. All right, guys, let's get to a couple of quick headlines, and we want to begin with a quick heads up. Commerce Secretary Howard Leslie scheduled to testify before the House Oversight Committee today. It's all part of the committee's Jeffrey Epstein investigation. Lutnick will have an opportunity to clarify his relationship with Epstein after making somewhat conflicting statements in the past. Meantime, President Trump at five Indiana state Senate candidates that he backed in Tuesday's primary there are celebrating victory this morning. In all, the commander in chief took aim at seven Republican Hoosier state state senators after they opposed his call for the state to redraw voting districts. Tuesday, the president exacted his revenge on most of them as five of the seven candidates he backed to unseat those candidates won their primaries. As of late last night, one of the races was too close to call and one incumbent won. The US national debt now exceeds the country's gross domestic product. This is this is the first time this has happened since World War II. The current national debt is about $31.27 trillion, while the total value of all goods and services produced here in the United states stands at $31.22 trillion. The increased national debt is largely blamed on more government spending on interest payments, along with increased costs associated with Medicare and Social Security, among other things. The US Is now spending more money to pay interest on its debt than to fund national defense or Medicare. And gas is up 50% from before the war with Iran. You're paying about 31 cents more for a gallon of regular gas just in the past week. The average price nationwide spiked to about $4.48 on Tuesday. AAA and other industry groups attribute the massive increase so the global energy crisis caused by the ongoing situation in Iran in the Strait of Hormuz. You probably Remember back in 2022, gas prices hit $5 a gallon shortly after the war between Russia and Ukraine began. That's a quick check of your headlines. Now let's get a quick check of your forecast. Weather Nation meteorologist Tracey Anthony has your hometown forecast. Tracey, good morning.
Tracy Anthony
Hey, good morning, Terrence. We are taking you out to Savannah, Georgia. Actually, a few friends in the getter chat rallying around Stacy that's going to be traveling through Savannah. So wanted to get a forecast. And Savannah is going to be dealing with the potential for some strong to severe thunderstorms by tomorrow. So temperature is hot and humid. You will cool down, though, after those storms. It's a cold front that's working across the region. And then another system, though, is going to knock on your doorstep for the weekend. So back in the 80s, but you'll be dodging some scattered rain, which is much needed rain for the southeast. 97% of the southeast are under moderate or exceptional drought conditions. And this does stretch back to the west, areas like Colorado, Nebraska. That leads us to our next hometown forecast. This is from Rapid City, coming in via getter from Mystic. 09.55 degrees today, but you're going to be warming over the next couple of days as well. You do have a chance for a few raindrops. So again, good news with the drought conditions as we have seen that exceptional drought across parts of Colorado, Nebraska and South Dakota. So want to stop in Nebraska as well. Ashland, chilly today. So we just had that cold front move through. We'll be back in the 80s, though, by Saturday and dodging a chance for a few isolated showers. Ashlyn coming in off YouTube from Eric. So thanks for dropping down your hometown forecasts. And really across the south, it's going to be the severe and flood potential. And then, Terrence, out West, you're dealing with the top weather headline.
Terrence Bates
Doo, doo, doo, doo, doo. Thanks, Tracy. Always good to see you.
Tracy Anthony
Yeah. Don't forget to download the Weather Nation app for all your weather details.
Terrence Bates
All right, will do. Let's get you over to Dr. Gina now who is enjoying nice sunny weather. She probably has a drink with the umbrella in it. Meantime, I've got on boots and long johns and all kinds of other stuff that may be a little too personal. But look at you talk really. Nicely played, Dr. G. All right, listen
Dr. Gina
to some big news out of the U.S. senate. Republicans just introduced a $72 billion reconciliation package and it's loaded. $38.2 billion for ICE, $26 billion for Border Patrol, 5 billion extra dollars for DHS, 1.5 billion for the Justice Department, $1 billion for Secret Service upgrades tied to President Trump's new White House ballroom project. Republicans using reconciliation to bypass the Democrat filibuster. The Fluor vote is targeted for the week of May 18th. The president's deadline is June 1st. Democrats already vowing to fight it line by line. Joining us now to break it all down, Ohio Congressman Warren Davidson. Congressman, glad to have you with us. Thank you. You've been vocal for weeks that the DHS funding deal didn't go far enough on border security. So is this $72 billion package the fix you've been waiting for?
Congressman Warren Davidson
Well, it's hard to think when you see a number like $72 billion that that's, quote, a skinny budget why do you call it skinny? Because it's only funding those line items that you detailed there. What, what this is a continuation of is back in October, first was the funding deadline for all of appropriations. And ultimately in the fall, the House and Senate came together to pass full appropriations, but. But without Homeland Security funding. So if you remember, there's a shutdown in the fall and there's been a big shutdown here in this calendar year as Democrats refused to fund ICE and Border Patrol. Unfortunately, the Senate went along with that plan and let them pass funding for DHS through the Senate without adding ICE and Border Patrol. So what this does is it gives funding for the next three years till 2029 through for ICE and Border Patrol because they set up an appropriations process where now the baseline for the annual Homeland security bill has $0 for ICE and Border Patrol. So I think it's a bad precedent. I think we should have gone on offense instead of letting the Democrats dictate the terms of the fight. That's been my main objection.
Terrence Bates
Congressman, how much during these negotiations, during these budget negotiations, how much are you and your colleagues taking into account? The massive federal debt that we have right now? $31.27 trillion. As we reported just a little while ago, it now exceeds the gross domestic product here in the United States. There got to be concerns. I realize you've got to fund the government, but there are many people, particularly those fiscal hawks who say we need to pull back, we need to pull back on spending. Your reaction?
Congressman Warren Davidson
Yeah, I'm one of those fiscal hawks that always is talking about pulling back on spending. One of my first campaign themes was Bankrupt America. And it's obvious that we are financially and morally with a lot of the strings attached to this funding. It really is corrosive. Some of the policies and the effects of the policies, if not the intent of them. And when you look at the debt to GDP you highlighted just before I came on, highest since World War II. And that's a real problem. It's highly variable, though, as to what members take into account. You know, I created the Sound Money Caucus because we wanted to highlight. Look, if you spend more money than you bring in every year, if there's no constraint on spending, you're destroying the money. And people are feeling that they might attribute it to other things. But the reality is if you spend $7 trillion and you only collect 5 trillion in taxes, and you do that year after year after year, you're undermining the value of the dollars themselves. So you look at your house. Yeah. If you own a house, it's up in value, you feel good. But what really that reflects is your money is worth less. You didn't have to do anything to your house in most places to see it rise by a lot. And that's brought a lot of attention on property taxes. The fundamental issue is you're wrecking the money. But when you look at where do you want to cut? Democrats want to cut ice and border security. They want to basically take away. The whole point of sanctuary cities and sanctuary states like Denver is that they're going to decide which foreign nationals are lawfully present in the United States instead of the federal government. It's an open rebellion to the United States sovereignty, and it has to be put to an end. I think the Trump administration needs to stay focused on that. The border is secure, and we have to fully fund the federal role here to say, yeah, it is the United States responsibility to determine who's lawfully present and to remove them when they're not.
Emily Finn
Congressman, I do want to turn to Iran now. Overnight, President Trump paused Project Freedom, the mission to escort ships through the Strait of Hormuz. He's citing, and I quote here, great progress toward a deal with Iran. The blockade stays in place. Meanwhile, Iran hit the UAE for the second day in a row. And Iran's foreign minister just landed in Beijing ahead of the president's own trip to China next week. Congressman, is Iran running to China because they're losing or because they think Beijing can bail them out?
Congressman Warren Davidson
Yeah, look, I think China has a role to play here because China needs the oil out of Iran in the Persian Gulf, broadly. So if Iran's got the entire Gulf shut down through the Strait of Hormuz, China is not happy. They're not getting oil. And there was a moment there where they said, oh, well, Iran's going to control the Strait. They're going to charge a tax at the Strait of Hormuz, and that'll enrich Iran. And the United States rightly said, no, no, we can control every ship in the Arabian Sea, the Gulf. We don't even have to fight over the Strait of Hormuz. That's not going to happen. And the blockade has been very effective. It brought Iran to the negotiating table. And I think you're seeing, you know, Asian countries in particular, and the heavyweight here is China saying, well, we have to get some sort of resolution here. So I think China can help bring a peaceful resolution to this. I think it's a very good sign to see China's influence here, because rationally they need the oil.
Dr. Gina
Congressman, there's been a lot of talk among Republicans, Republican debase anyway, that they really want some reforms as well. One of the things I've talked about a lot, Terrence knows he's already rolling his eyes is, you know, all of this funding of the tsa. Terrence knew I couldn't help myself but to ask this, but there's no talk among Republicans that I've heard anyway about privatizing the tsa, making reforms to some of these government agencies that have infringed on the rights of Americans. Can you talk to us about if any of that is a realistic possibility?
Congressman Warren Davidson
Yeah, I don't think we're going to see that in this funding bill because the skinny budget and reconciliation is really focused on ICE and border patrol. But the thing that it really does is because it deals with spending, it also gets a way to cover the spending and revenue and cuts to spending. So if you go back to Doge, that was very popular, we're highlighting really here in Ohio, where you spent, you know, Doge uncovered where all the Medicaid money's going. And now you see all these private companies, the investigative journalists are exposing massive fraud with Medicaid dollars. And so that's going to put a lot of pressure on our attorneys general, on the Department of Justice. And, you know, Vice President Vance is leading that up to go after the fraud, waste and abuse and shut it down. And we can cut some of that spending if we don't do reforms like that that make it easier to detect and cut off fraud, waste and abuse. I mean, that's malpractice. We should do that.
Dr. Gina
And it took a 20 was he 23 years old, Nick Shirley. To get government to wake up to it. Congressman Warren Davidson, it must be frustrating to be a true fiscal hawk and from Ohio, of all places. I'll be there next week for my son's wedding. And to have to put up with the bureaucracy, that can just be debilitating sometimes. I know it's frustrating for us. I'm sure it's very frustrating for you. But we really appreciate you coming on and updating us.
Terrence Bates
Thank you, Congressman.
Dr. Gina
All right, coming up, does the Democrat Party stand for open borders? One pollster asked Americans. And you won't believe the numbers. But first, Kamala's back and you won't believe what she's saying now. Well, that's next. We're back in just a moment.
Emily Finn
Welcome back to American sunrise. I'm American Sunrise contributor Emily Finn. It's great to have you with us this morning. Time now to drain the swamp. And this morning we are flushing out Kamala Harris, who is backing Los Angeles Mayor Karen Bass for reelection, claiming the embattled mayor has crushed both crime and homelessness in a city many say is still in crisis. Harris called Bass the leader Los Angeles needs, crediting her with a two year drop in homelessness and crime levels not seen since the 1960s. But the picture on the streets tells a very different story. Tent cities and open air drug use still define daily life across large parts of LA. With the June 2 primary just weeks away, Bass faces a crowded field, including reality star Spencer Pratt, in a race that could reshape America's second largest city. Let's discuss with Dr. Gina and Terrence here. Gina, I want to go to you first. I know both of us lived in California, so you have a little bit of a personal connection to this here. I went to our producer yesterday when I was working on this story, and he goes, kamala Harris and Karen Bass. Yikes. I mean, the combined incompetence is just shocking. Gina?
Dr. Gina
Yeah, a little bit. I guess. If you sing, you know, in a round in your own chorus and there are no other singers, maybe you believe what you're singing. I don't know. But yeah, nobody I know is singing the praises of low crime or anything like that. In fact, we all know that what the Kamala Harris regime did with Biden to this country is so reprehensible. But especially in California, the number of illegals, I mean, all of my friends, probably yours too, Emily. All of my friends from California have moved here to Florida and so. And they're not moving back, even though California, I believe, is the most beautiful state in the entire country. And I think it's really sad what they've done, but no credit given until things. And I would love. Wouldn't you love. Aside from the fact that she cackles and is annoying as a human, to interview her and say, oh, really, what did she do? Specifically, because you can make up numbers. But what, what are the. I would love to know the mechanism. What laws did she pass? What. What laws did she enforce? Right. I would love to know that, Terrence. Wouldn't you?
Terrence Bates
Yeah, And I think we're going to find out soon. When voters there in LA go to the polls, I suspect Karen Bass won't be returning. I think it's going to be a reality check for Karen Bass for Democrats. We'll see, obviously. But I just can't imagine that voters there in Los Angeles would reelect Karen Bass, particularly given what's happened during her administration. Emily, I'd love to get your perspective though, particularly since, as you said from the get go, you lived in California. So you've got a bit of a more unique and informed perspective, I would think, than most.
Emily Finn
Yeah, I was down in San Diego and Terrence, I will say when I lived there, it was right after college and it was just this beautiful dream world. Gina, I'm sure that you can understand, like you said, a beautiful, beautiful state. But every time that I have gone back to visit San Diego since it has gotten worse. There have been more homeless, more crime. My friends talk about we have to leave. We can't afford anything here.
Dr. Gina
Right. That's.
Emily Finn
Yeah. And it's just the leadership. It really is the leadership. And San Diego was the conservative safe haven in all of Southern California. But even now, it's, it's not even a place that conservatives really can live. So I welcome everyone in San Diego, everyone in California, to consider Florida. This is really the freedom that you're
Dr. Gina
looking for, but you'll miss the mountains.
Emily Finn
It is beautiful.
Terrence Bates
I welcome everyone to Colorado where it snows in May. Yes.
Emily Finn
All right. Great discussion as always, you guys. We do want to know what you, our viewers, think about all of this. Let us know on Rumble or Getter or hop in our YouTube chat. Welcome back, everyone. We're getting you ready for the opening bell at the New York Stock Exchange. It's set to ring here in just a few minutes. Here's a quick look at the futures market morning. This things looking good almost top to bottom. The dow S&P 500 and the NASDAQ, the major indices all in the green, really. The only blemish which is hopefully good for us at the pump is that crude oil is down. It's still much higher than most of us would like, which of course means that our gas prices are up as well. But in general, the cost of a barrel of oil is down just a little bit this morning. We'll continue to monitor all of this for you though, throughout the day and keep you updated. Now, though, let's get you over to Dr. Gina. Dr. G. Good morning.
Dr. Gina
Good morning, Terrence. Good chilly morning. There in Colorado, a new health supplement gaining attention, claiming to support long term wellness at the cellular level. This is the new lingo in all of this. It is built around what is known as C15. That's an essential fatty acid that researchers say may play a key role in supporting cell health, metabolism and even healthy aging. Experts say this nutrient, once common in certain diets, is largely missing from modern nutrition and reintroducing it could help improve overall health markers. Joining me now to discuss more is the co founder and the CEO for Fatty 15. Sounds like it's a bad thing, Stephanie, but this is a good thing. Dr. Stephanie Vin Watson, good morning.
Stephanie Van Watson
Good morning. Dr. Gina Great. Great to see you. Yeah. Excited to talk about C15, this discovery that came from Navy dolphins, which is a great timing given that it's National Military Appreciation Month this month.
Dr. Gina
I didn't even know that. And we talk about the military every day on this show. So thanks for bringing that to our attention. You know, longevity has been such a hot topic these days. I'm talking about it every day on the show it seems like. And in your best selling Simon and Schuster book, the Longevity Nutrient, you tell us how these Navy dolphins helped unlock this secret to longevity and healthy aging. Tell us more about that study.
Post University Announcer
Yeah, absolutely.
Stephanie Van Watson
So I'm a veterinary epidemiologist, is working with the Navy. My husband Eric is a three war Navy vet, war veteran at Navy Physicians. So together we're a proud military family. Working with the dolphins, we found that about one in three older dolphins at the Navy because at the Navy they live a long time, they get really, really good care. And so because of that, they live two to three times long longer than dolphins in the wild. And Dr. Gina, we found that older dolphins, among the older dolphins, one in three were developing these aging associated diseases. Things like chronic inflammation, high cholesterol, fatty liver disease, even the full suite of changes consistent with Alzheimer's. We did ran this technology called metabolomics. We looked at thousands of small molecules present in their all fish diet and their blood and we found surprisingly this unsaturated fatty acid. Fast forward. Gosh. 10 years and over 100 peer reviewed studies later and like you said, C15 has now emerged as one of the first essential fatty acids in the in to be discovered in the last 90 years. And now a leading longevity nutrient that can even reverse aging at the cellular level. We're so grateful to those dolphins.
Dr. Gina
Yeah, that is really cool. Were you at the San Diego Navy dolphin place right there? I've been there. That's right, I've been there. Yeah. Yeah, very cool. So what is the mechanism though? Because everybody wants to understand what this is really doing once it's inside their body.
Stephanie Van Watson
Right, Exactly. So how does it support long term health and metabolic and immune liver heart health and longevity itself? It ends up that C15 is a sturdy fatty acid, Gina. And it goes into our cell membrane and it help stabilize our cells against early age related breakdown. It is such a simple trick that animals throughout, like whether it's a worm or a human or a dolphin, uses this ability to stabilize our cell membranes to help us live longer, fights off oxidative stress and it helps delay the onset of the diseases that kill us. It's a, the fancy schmancy name is called a gero protector. So very excited that C15 is able to do this, keep us healthier longer.
Dr. Gina
What are. I know there are other promising longevity molecules but how does C15 compare to those?
Stephanie Van Watson
Yeah, it's a great question. So we actually did a study with to be able to look head to head. This is all funded by the Office of Naval Research. To be able to look to see what could pure C15 do and how does it compare to things called like rapamycin and metformin leading longevity molecules. And we found surprisingly that C15 had the most longevity supporting activities even compared to these leading longevity nutrients. So the Navy funded us to develop a pure C15 supplement called Fatty 15 and help to bring it to the world. It ends up in the long blue longevity zone of Sardinia. They have C15 levels that are two to three times higher than us.
Dr. Gina
Wow.
Stephanie Van Watson
They shouldn't be, they shouldn't be stuck with that. We should be or have the only secret we should be able to get that too.
Dr. Gina
Well, I'm totally convinced I have to try this. Dr. Stephanie Van Watson. This is exciting stuff. You always wonder about those parts of the world where they don't age, they don't have the health problems we have. What's different? And you went and figured it out and brought us a product. I appreciate it so much. Thank you so much for being with us. Remember, Everybody, go to fatty15.com and use the code sunrise for 15%. That's a huge amount off of your first order. And I'm excited about this product. Can't wait to try it. Terrance in Denver, you better try it too because you know, you've got all that snow to deal with. It's aging you, my brother. I think Dr. Gina just called me old. She says I'm aging. And it happened overnight. All right, we're getting ready for the opening bell at the New York Stock Exchange. The applause is underway. And there you have it, ladies and gentlemen. The markets are now officially open. Shout out to Wheaton, by the way, at the podium, here's a quick look at the indices. As you can see, the dow S&P 500 and the NASDAQ are all in the green right now. Only a couple of blemishes, which include, which includes, excuse me, crude oil. Crude oil is down. That's actually good news. Hopefully it will also reflect in the, in the amount that you're paying at the gas pump. In general, though, a good start to this day of trading. We'll of course continue to monitor all the markets for you throughout the day here on Real America's Voice and keep you updated if there's anything significant to support to report. I can't speak this morning. Still to come here on American Sunrise, a new poll on illegal immigration that will blow your mind. We'll talk about it next. And hopefully I can get my thoughts together.

Dr. Gina
All right. Welcome back to American sunrise. I'm Dr. G. Thanks for joining us this morning. We invite you to hop in our conversation on YouTube. Getter and Rumble. It is time now to take the political pulse of America. Here is the beat. Today, a new Harvard Harris poll confirms what every American paying attention already knows. The question was simple. Do Americans believe Democrats stand for open borders? 58% say yes. And honestly, that number should be higher. 67% of Republicans say yes, 53% of independents say yes, and even a majority of Democrat voters themselves say yes, 52%. In fact, the evidence has been in plain sight for years. Open border policy, sanctuary cities, ICE called, and I quote, Trump's modern Gestapo by the left activists, judges releasing illegal aliens wanted for murder back into American communities. Meanwhile, President Trump sitting at 47% approval on immigration. Joe Biden's number when he left office, 34%. Americans know who is securing the border and they know who isn't. So the real question this morning isn't whether Democrats are for open borders. It's why the other 42% haven't figured it out yet. All right, Emily and Terrence. You know, Terrence, it really has become such a polar opposite, such a. Such a delineating subject between Republicans and Democrats. Democrats not only want wide open borders, they don't want anyone deported, even if they're dangerous. And they've proven that.
Terrence Bates
And Dr. Gina, it's not. It has nothing to do with right or wrong or with the rule of law. For many Democrats, it's a political thing. It's getting more people in this country in hopes that those people would align themselves with Democrats and in order to boost power or boost access to power, that's what it's about. Let's just not be confused. It's not about right or wrong or keeping your family safe, keeping your community safe. It's a strictly political. It's a strictly political decision for many on the left. And they see that by allowing more people into this country, more illegals in, hopefully those people then will see that the Democrats have been supportive of them and the Democrat policies are supportive, and that those people will ultimately find a way to vote and then vote for Democrats, which would extend power to Democrats. It's about power, fundamentally.
Emily Finn
It absolutely is. That is the strategy, Terrence and it's a fraudulent strategy to scam our voting systems. And it's not that they're just for open borders. They're also for when you go to cast your ballot, you don't even have to show an id. So it's very clear with the policies that they support that scamming the system is the key point of what they're trying to do.
Dr. Gina
GINA but can we talk about the dehumanization of all this? Can we talk about the human rights in this for a moment? You know, a lot of people have died, a lot of families, a lot of children have been sold into sex slavery, trafficked because of the policies of the left. But even without that, just the part that you were talking about, Terrence, take all that away. Take the rape trees that Ben has showed us right here on this show. You know, all the rest of the horrible things, the horrible atrocities that come with illegal immigration. Just take what you said about the fact that they use these people for power and money. I mean, what is more racist than that? And when surveyed, Democrats who vote for more of this, know that and admit it. TERRENCE how could this possibly not bother the conscience? How do these people sleep at night?
Terrence Bates
I don't know. I wish I had an answer to that specific question. Dr. Gina I don't know. I think we've got to all be aware within our own spheres of influence about the impacts that illegal immigration is having on our own communities. And I suspect, and this is just my suspicion, that after a while, after resources are taxed, and we've actually seen this in places like Chicago and other sanctuary cities, the resources that are being taken away from taxpaying citizens and being shifted to illegal immigrants. At some point in time, it gets old and you see a pushback even from those citizens in those communities who are saying, hold on, we've been begging for years for better schools. We've been begging for years for better streets and better sidewalks. And now you're spending, you know, millions upon millions of, of dollars to house illegal immigrants and to offer resources and medical, medical resources and other things to these illegal immigrants. What about us? And we've seen these sorts of pushbacks quite literally across the country. And I would suspect that we'll continue to see those sorts of things. And, and not only will you see it, I guess in demonstrations from taxpaying citizens, but tax paying citizens will eventually vote against some of these candidates who've allowed this sort of tax on resources to happen.
Emily Finn
EMILY yeah, I think that's very well said. And I think moving forward, Terrence, what we're going to have to talk about is how do we deal with the impacts of this problem, how do we deal with all of these illegals that, like you said, we have to house, we have to provide health care for them, we have to provide schooling for their children. It's not it's a system that is dysfunctional. It's a system that's going to break eventually and people are going to vote accordingly. And we actually saw this in 2024 in support of President Trump, a specifically Hispanic voter really shifted in support of Republicans. So I think that trend is going to continue.
Dr. Gina
GINA yeah, and for all the little Nick Shirleys out there, go after these NGOs, wow, I really just want to start exposing them next and all that corruption. Are you going to say something else?
Terrence Bates
TERRENCE no, I just wanted to say, and for the record, it's not that and I'll speak for myself, But I suspect Dr. Gina and Emily agree, it's not that we're against immigration, we are against illegal immigration. Do it the right way. If you want to come to this country, there is a process to do that. Follow the process and come to this country legally.
Dr. Gina
Exactly. Well, let's bring in Melanie Israel from the Heritage Foundation. Want to talk about this a little more? Melanie, we know you have some strong thoughts on this. This is something you focus on all the time. Tell us. Hi there.
Post University Announcer
Good morning. Thank you so much for having me. So my role over at the Heritage foundation is working on issues related to to life, conscience, rights. And so what we have been tracking very closely is actually the issue of abortion in front of the Supreme Court and abortion pills that are flooding into pro life states from blue states. And so I would love to talk to you guys more about that.
Terrence Bates
Yeah, let's do address that. I'm sorry, Dr. Gina, were you going to go and follow up?
Dr. Gina
No, go ahead, Terrence. Go ahead.
Terrence Bates
Now let's do talk about that because there have been some really big Supreme Court rulings just this week relative to abortion in general. The mifepristone ruling in and of itself is probably one that has caught most people's attention. The court basically extending the right for various providers to continue providing that abortion pill for at least the next week or so.
Post University Announcer
Exactly. So what we're really watching is to see how the court's going to handle this. What they did is they're being asked to look at the current FDA policy which allows for these very dangerous, very risky pills to be dispensed online, sent through the mail, where women and girls have never been evaluated by a doctor to rule out things like life threatening complications. And so that was a policy that was actually implemented just a couple years ago under President Biden. For more than 20 years, these drugs had to be dispensed in person. You had to have a face to face in person evaluation with a doctor before you could obtain these dangerous pills that come with all kinds of horrible side effects and potentially really serious adverse events. And so what Louisiana and some other states are doing is they are challenging that. They're saying look, these pills are incredibly dangerous. And when you can get them online and send them through the mail, it's undermining all of the wonderful pro life policies that many states have enacted after the Dobbs decision. And so hopefully the Supreme Court will side with common sense. Unfortunately, we're seeing a whole lot of demagoguing from the left calling this a backdoor national abortion ban when all it's doing is simply restoring the process that was in place for more than 20 years up until a couple years ago, where you simply had to have a face to face conversation with a doctor before you were able to obtain these dangerous pills.
Dr. Gina
Yeah, it seems like that, you know, the abortion issue generally speaking has, you know, the whisper campaign behind the scenes. I know people that have always been like abortion has been for me for example as well, number one cause cuz I figure if we can't get that right, not going to get anything right. The Supreme Court handed down a very pro life decision, a 9 to 0 win on the Supreme Court. New Jersey's Democrat AG subpoenaed a pro life pregnancy center and demanded their donor list. They wanted names, addresses, employers. Every justice, including the liberals said no. Melanie, tell us how that protects Americans who want to donate to pro life causes.
Post University Announcer
You know, it was an incredible win for those pregnancy centers. And you know, basically what the court is saying is that you can't have a state actor that happens to disagree with a certain group go after them and try to intimidate their donors which in effect is going to chill the speech of that organization. And these pregnancy centers, my goodness, they are on the front lines of building a culture of life. They serve everybody. They are there to offer. Not just things like medical care, they're doing things like parenting classes, diapers, car seats, helping people navigate the process of finding housing or getting a job. We should want more support for these pregnancy centers, not less. And so when you have a hostile entity, especially a government entity, trying to go after them and kill their speech and prevent them from doing their life saving work, that is thankfully something that the court has said they can't do. And frankly, no matter what side of the debate you're on, everybody should be glad that the government can't go after people purely because they disagree with them. In fact, the ACLU did a friend of the court brief in this case. And so hopefully people can see that this isn't even necessarily a left versus right issue. And I think that's why it was a unanimous decision. Unfortunately, New Jersey is still trying to not cooperate. They are still trying to use certain mechanisms in state court to intimidate these pregnancy centers. And so the issue is not over. However, that resounding unanimous victory at the Supreme Court is good news for pregnancy centers and frankly, good news for women, girls and unborn children as well.
Terrence Bates
Melanie, we appreciate your time. Unfortunately, we're out of time. But I want to have you back because you use the term culture of life and I love that idea because I'm big on pro life, but also pro quality of life for newborn babies. And so I want to talk about that and pick your brain a little bit more. When you said culture of life, it touched me because I truly believe in that. So, Melanie, we're going to have you back to discuss that at some point in time as well. Appreciate you being here with us.
Dr. Gina
Thanks, Melanie.
Stephanie Van Watson
Thanks for having Melanie.
Terrence Bates
Thank you. Well, when there are supply constraints or even commodity prices surge, you typically see things like fuel prices when the Strait of Hormuz is blockaded go up. You also know what else is a limited commodity? Well, that would be gold. They mine it out of the ground and when it's gone, it's gone. Governments can't just print more of it. And that's why everyone from central banks to savvy savers are diversifying with gold. Today, Supreme Court Justice Samuel Alito is unloading on his liberal colleague Ketanji Brown Jackson, calling her latest dissent baseless and insulting and groundless and utterly irresponsible. The showdown comes as the high court fast tracked its ruling allowing Louisiana to redraw its congressional map, a move expected to favor Republicans heading into the 2026 midterms. Jackson stood alone in her protest. Even fellow liberal Justices Sotomayor and Kagan declined to join her dissent, leaving her isolated on the bench with the clock ticking toward November, the ruling could hand Republicans a major advantage in Louisiana and reshape the fight for control of Congress this fall. For discussion, let's bring back Dr. Gina and Terrence. Dr. Gina, not too often that we see infighting on the court like this.
Dr. Gina
We shouldn't be surprised, though. I mean, we used to have decorum in the House and Senate. We used to have decorum between former presidents. We used to stand when the president walked in a room, whether we were Democrat or Republican, you know, and so it shouldn't really surprise us. Do you think t that we would lose decorum in the SCOTUS as well,
Terrence Bates
you know what, Dr. Gina, until you said it, I hadn't thought of it that way. But you were absolutely right. Like I shouldn't be surprised. I was. Particularly since it's so rare. Like I can't remember any time there's been this sort of public dissension on the high court. But you're right, Dr. Gina. We are in this environment where decorum has gone out the window and where things where policymaking. And let's just be honest, the Supreme Court shouldn't be a policy making body, shouldn't be into policy. It should be all about the law. But these days, all of that has gone out the window and things have become so personal that I probably shouldn't be surprised that this sort of disagreement was aired publicly. I don't like it and it's not what I'm used to, but I probably shouldn't be surprised. Maybe I was a little naive, Dr. Dean, until you just said that because you were so right. It has become kind of the environment that we're in.
Emily Finn
Yeah.
Dr. Gina
And there's a class factor. Emily. I'm sorry, I'm just going to say it. Some of these people just don't have a lot of decorum to begin with in their personal, private lives, in their public lives. And it translates, it's going to translate once somebody like that gets on the Supreme Court, we see it all the time with just, you know, people out there just screaming and saying horrible things, blow up the White House, you know, just horrible things like that. And then we wonder how we, you know, if we don't get the government we want, we get the government we deserve, right, Emily?
Emily Finn
That is right. You know, the Supreme Court is always just so secretive. So when you pull back the curtain, if you will, and you see some fighting, you see some drama, it's like, oh, goodness, where are we at in this country? Very telling. All right. Still to come on American Sunrise, the one to Watch is next. Stick around.
Dr. Gina
All right. Welcome back to American sunrise. I'm Dr. G. It is now time for the One to Watch. Here's what I'm keeping my eye on today. Tucker Carlson for president. There's a lot of chatter out there that he is floating the idea the polymarket odds are increasing, currently at, get this, you guys, 7% that he would be the GOP nominee. And that doesn't sound like very good odds. But J.D. vance also still in single digits. I find these poly market things very interesting. Tucker was asked again by Piers Morgan recently if he would run. And he gave a dozen reasons why he doesn't want to run. And then he said that.
Terrence Bates
However, if I got to run against Ted Cruz and debate him again on camera, I would run for emperor of the Holy Roman Empire. I'd run for punk. I'd run for head of the library board. I would run for anything for the opportunity to do that and watch Ted
Dr. Gina
Cruz, because this is an interesting phenomenon. I feel like we've never been at this place in our body politic where we are right now. It's interesting stuff is just shifting and changing. A lot of hate out there for Tucker on social media right now. But if you look at how many people watch his podcast, you'll see that his support far outweighs those who hate him, even though there are a lot of social media influencer accounts blasting him all day long. His podcast viewership, you guys, is 10 times higher than his viewership ever was on his best day on Fox News. And his numbers have just gone up since the Iran war started. So. Terrence, Emily, I don't know. I want to hear your thoughts.
Terrence Bates
So I don't think he's going to run. First of all, if he were to run, I don't think he seriously thinks he has a chance to win, and he would simply be in the race to expand the marketplace of ideas, to put more ideas on the table, to be considered as part of the Republican platform in general, and to kind of shift the narrative in terms of issues. That would be the benefit. I really. I really don't see him running. Unless, again, as he said, Ted Cruz was running it for him. That would just be personal. He just wants to debate Ted Cruz and blast Ted Cruz. And I think he's dead serious about that. He doesn't like Ted Cruz and would like to. Excuse me. Would like to publicly face off with him. But other than that, I don't think there's much of a motivation.
Dr. Gina
But I think Ted Cruz is going to run. What do you think, Emily?
Emily Finn
Is he going to. I mean, how many times has he run already? I mean, I thought he was the Zodiac Killer, that. That's a nonstarter. No one is ever going to actually support that man. We should be talking about Marco Rubio. This is our future president. I am so fired up about Marco. Every time that I see him in front of the public, every time I see, you know, what job is he taking on next? This is what I think my dad felt about Ronald Reagan when he was president, what a bunch of people felt about Donald Trump when he ran in 2016. I want Marco to run so bad. I think he would be so good for this country and really bring a lot of unity to America. So Marco Rubio, please run in 2028.
Dr. Gina
I don't think there's much of a doubt that Marco is going to throw his name in there, too. I think it could be a big primary field. I know that, you know, it sort of looked for a minute like it was going to be all JD but then Marco's kind of coming in. You've got the America first people who are not going to sit down for either one of them. It's going to be an interesting season, you guys. It's going to be fun, a lot to talk about. All right, you guys. Well, War Room is coming up next.
Stephanie Van Watson
Next.
Dr. Gina
Hug your children, love God, go boldly live the truth. We'll see you tomorrow.
Terrence Bates
