This is an iHeart podcast. Guaranteed Human. Well, folks, the trial of Carmelo Anthony in McKinney, Texas is over. Carmelo Anthony, the man who stabbed Austin Metcalfe, another teen, has been found guilty of first degree murder. He will now face anywhere between 20 and 99 years. This case was open and shot. He brought a knife to a track meet. He egged Austin Metcalfe on. Austin Metcalf says, I don't want to fight you. A light push to the shoulder and Carmelo Anthony takes out of his backpack a knife and stabs Metcalf in the heart. The response from some of the black community outside of the courthouse today is nothing short of jaw dropping.

Self defense. How? What happened when teenage boys would get in a fight and that was the end of it. The reality is today in some communities, there is no regard for human life anymore. There's no regard for their consequences for their actions. Again, Austin Metcalfe said over and over again, I don't want to fight you, Carmelo Anthony. Witness after witness after witness, including the defense team's own witnesses, says Carmelo Anthony provoked it. Try me. See what happens. How is this a case about race? Yet if you go outside the courthouse, you will see black folks mad as can be saying that their man Carmelo Anthony was railroaded here. And I ask how, where is your compassion as parents to a family that lost a loved one in Austin Metcalf for absolutely no reason? This is Dominique Alexander. He's one of the chief agitators in North Texas. This process did is shown that black lives do not matter in Collin County. What is he talking about? This was a fair trial. The jury came back literally in just a couple hours. I mean, this was a very fast decision. Why? Because the case was open and shut. Again, we have a real problem in America today when people are outside a courthouse screaming and yelling about race, when it's the person convicted that shoved a knife through an innocent man's heart. This isn't about race. Except for the fact that maybe outside the courthouse, what we're learning is that the most racism in America today is coming from some in the black community towards the white community. Not all, but some. And it's pretty bad. Watch. When a man walked up, what did you do? You crossed your arms.

You're not going to approach a woman like that. They want to fight. They're itching to fight. But, folks, it's Collin County. That's North Texas. It's a very conservative county. And the sheriff's department there doesn't play. It ain't going to go down like it goes down in Seattle or it goes down in Portland or Los Angeles. There is no way they let anything get out of control. A brief scuffle occurred after the verdict was read, but that was about it. Except for some yelling and screaming at each other. Now, here's what I don't understand. You have mothers and fathers out there. They don't talk to their kid about bringing a knife to attract meat. In many respects, I blame Carmelo Anthony's parents nearly as much as I blame Carmelo Anthony for taking that knife out and stabbing Austin Metcalf in the heart. There was a total disregard. Whoever raised him did not do a very good job, and that's an absolute fact. You have a kid that murdered somebody, and now your supporters are out there screaming and yelling about how the only good cracker is a dead cracker. You tell me where the race is. Here's another protester.

What do you want us to do? What do you want us to do? At this point, what I'm. I'm lost for. I don't know what to do. I got five boys. I don't know why. I ain't got nothing to tell them no more. You can't walk away no more.

My son could have been at that track meet. He throws shot put for high school not far from Frisco, Texas. He could have been there. Do you know what, ma', am? Do you know what? You tell your son the same thing I tell my white son. De escalate, kid. It isn't worth it. Don't try and be a tough guy. You don't know. In today's world, when I was going to school, you get in a fight with the opposing team, it was a fight and everybody went about their way. In today's world, you get in a fight with the opposing team, you may get shot, you may get stabbed. So, ma', am, I would urge you to tell your boys to de escalate, to walk away. I told my son just yesterday, it doesn't matter if you look weak. It isn't worth getting killed over. And you don't know what people will do today. You don't know how far it will go, how far they'll take it. And for all of you out there, it's a lesson for you to learn as well. Road rage. Back off. If someone's going crazy, you don't know if they'll take a gun out and shoot you again. The disregard for human life in America today is nothing short of sickening. And I will tell you, when I watch the black folks out there go crazy on white folks, I would ask them to look in the mirror and say, what do you want? If this was a white kid who stabbed the black kid, let me tell you something. It would have been national news from here to kingdom come. Instead, you had about a hundred people out there, not thousands. They would have been calling for Austin Metcalf if roles were reversed for him to be hung out, to drive for life. I don't know how much Carmelo Anthony will get. He faces 20 to 99 years. My assumption is the jury will go lighter on him. How light. I would say decades. But not life. How do I know that? Racism has overtaken it all up there in McKinney, Texas, the cops keeping the peace. A black cop keeping the peace. They literally go after him for not supporting them. Violence outside. The cops trying to keep the peace.

The only people that need to be ashamed of themselves are those protesters out there supporting Carmelo Anthony. You can support that he changes his ways. You can support that he asks for forgiveness. You can support that he finds peace. And Austin Metcalfe family finds peace. But don't go out there calling white folks names. And Austin Metcalf got railroaded. He pulled a knife out of a back backpack and stabbed a young boy in the heart. All right, turning now to another issue of race, the Southern Poverty Law Center. You may remember they were exposed as to paying off leaders in the very groups that the Southern Poverty Law center was supposed to be exposing and calling out. Well, it turns out they were funding the leaders of these groups. Why? I guess to gin up stories for the Southern Poverty Law center to cover. They claim they were paying off informants. Congress wanted to get to the bottom of it. So Jim Jordan and his Judiciary Committee held a hearing today. They went after Brian Fair, the chairman of the Southern Poverty Law Center.

He won't admit it has nothing to do with actually the religion. You're targeting extremists. People that are dangerous. I will sell you what I told the Washington Post and got vilified for it. Not all terrorists are Islamic, but all Islamic terrorists practice Islamic. That's a fact. And so where are the Islamic hate groups? Terror groups? Cells inside of America. They don't have any on their map. And that's what Chip Roy was calling out. So what does the Democrats do during all of this as they're literally exposed, looking so silly, dumb, quite frankly. They return to their old faithful lies about President Trump being a racist, you and me being a racist. And again, Pramila Jayapal once again exposes herself as a ding dong.

But it isn't just the denigrating of black and brown communities that's so dangerous. It is the praising, the pardoning, the condoning of extreme white nationalists directly from the White House. In Trump's America, white supremacists at the Charlottesville rally are, quote, very fine people.

Let me explain something to you. I would be embarrassed to be a Democrat. The very fine people hoax. It was exposed as a hoax a long time ago. We all know it was a hoax. We know what President Trump was talking about. If you're a Democrat today, the people that represent you in Congress are literally disgraceful. They're dumb, they don't reason, and they're deceitful, which is why I would be embarrassed to be a Democrat today. They feign outrage over everything. You had Dr. Alvida King, the niece of Dr. Martin Luther King, testifying today. They even attack her. Watch this.

People of color do not feel comfortable or welcomed within your party. That's why you have to parade someone who has the name Dr. King and attached to them, so that people can be confused. Because I have been reading the comments online and people are like, who is this Dr. King? Because you want them to believe that somehow she espouses who Dr. King was. Yet you've yet to have MLK III come in here. You've yet to have Dr. Bernice King, the ones that were actually raised by Dr. King, the ones that actually probably understand the teachings of Dr. King.

And then Kelly Shelton, our VP of marketing here at angel will give a few words about the film and about angel in general. Finally, we'll close with Dennis Levitt, the president of Liberty Village. Good evening, ladies and gentlemen. You know, 250 years ago, a young Washington stood at the beginning of a journey that would change the course of history. Now, he was not yet the father of our country. He was not yet the commanding figure you see in those paintings or in the monuments. He was simply a young man, simply with a sense of purpose and a willingness to serve, the courage to answer a greater call than himself. That call was freedom. The generation that built America understood that freedom was more than a political idea. It was a gift from God, a cause worth sacrificing for and a responsibility for worthy of their commitment. And that is why Washington's story still matters. Before he became a great leader, he was learning the lesson that defined great leadership, character, perseverance, sacrifice and service. Tonight we're surrounded by by young people that I'd like to recognize. And these are the participants in the presidential 1776 civics be this afternoon. Congratulations to your achievement and thank you for your commitment about learning about nation's history and its founding principles. Let's give a round of applause for these superstars from all around the country. I'll tell you, they are absolutely amazing, you know, and what I want to say to them is you may not have crossed the Delaware or endured the hardships of Valley Forge, but you did something important. You stepped forward, you prepared, you studied, you challenged yourselves. You stood before your peers and demonstrated your understanding of the principles that make self government possible. And that takes courage. And every generation needs people willing to step forward. As you'll come to see in this film, Washington's path was far from easy. He faced setbacks, uncertainty, and moments when many believe the cause of freedom would fail. He lost more battles than he won, but he never gave up. Neither did the men and women who stood beside him. And neither did the founders who pledged their lives, their fortunes, and their sacred honor. When they signed the Declaration of Independence, they were risking everything for the blessings of freedom. They understood a timeless truth. Freedom is never free. It requires character. It requires sacrifice. And it requires the courage to stand for something greater than ourselves. That same spirit lives with us today. It lives with these young people who choose to learn, lead and serve. And that is the mission of freedom. 250. Not simply to commemorate an anniversary, but to inspire a movement of Americans to renew our commitment to freedom and help write the next chapter of the American story. Freedom is America's greatest inheritance, but it's also our greatest responsibility. Every generation is called upon to protect it, to strengthen it, and to pass it on. And so when I look around this room tonight, I am filled with confidence that the next generation is ready to answer that call. Because the story of freedom is still being written. On behalf of the White House. I would like to welcome everyone to tonight's screening. Young Washington is Angel's 22nd feature film. Speaking on behalf of my wife and children, the Haley family can vouch for Angel's significant contribution to good quality content. This afternoon, I watched Angel's two minute trailer for David. In describing the drama of his life, the narrator said, the true battle is not against flesh and blood, but in our hearts.

George Washington understood perfectly well that the nature of the true battle is in the heart of the soldier and of the citizens. Five days after it was adopted, Washington had the Declaration of Independence read to his troops in lower Manhattan in sight of the newly arrived British force of 30,000 men that was sent to kill his army hours before the daring and desperate crossing of the Delaware on Christmas night, 1776, he directed all of his commanders to have Thomas's Paine, Thomas Paine's essay the Crisis, also read aloud to his troops with its emotional opening lines. These are the times that try men's souls. The summer soldier and the sunshine patriot will in this crisis shrink from the service of their country. But he that stands it now deserves the love and thanks of man and woman. And in the dark days of the bitter winter at Valley Forge, it is Washington who organized Cato to be formed for the truce, a play which lionizes the virtues of a Roman statesman who is willing to face death in standing against a tyrant and in defense of freedom. While he has a reputation for great sternness and rectitude, Washington was clearly a man of deep emotion, deep heart, even if he did not often share it with the world. And it is the beautiful heart of this true and good man upon which our Republic was founded 250 years ago, that we celebrate tonight by being together and learning more about his young life. On the day the Constitution was adopted in Philadelphia, September 17, 1787, Washington purchased an English language translation of the great Spanish novel Don Quixote. One of the great works of all literature, if there is ever a character of great heart, is Don Quixote. A Broadway show about Don Quixote was produced in the 1960s. I close my remarks by reciting, not singing, a few lines from the hit song of that musical, which I think apply very well to George Washington. To dream the impossible dream to fight the unbeatable foe to bear with unbearable sorrow and to run where the brave dare not go to fight for the right without question or pause to be willing to march March into hell for that heavenly cause and I know if I only be true to this glorious quest that my heart will lie peaceful and calm When I'm late in my rest and the world will be better for this that one man scorned and covered with scars still strove with his last ounce of courage to reach the unreachable the unreachable the unreachable Star thank you.

James Madison made clear that the Constitution and our republic, republican form of government, rest entirely on the virtue of the American people. No system of checks and balances, no laws, no institutions could sustain liberty or prevent tyranny without a virtuous, virtuous citizenry. John Adams affirmed this truth when he declared that our Constitution was made only for a moral and religious people. That is why the stories we tell and the entertainment we consume matter so much. They shape us individually and they shape our culture. In an age when so much media pulls us downward, what we watch, what we support, and what we allow our children to see has never been more important. This is the reason Angel Studios exists. All right, so it's going to be a heck of an event out there at the trail Trump Kennedy Center. This is for young Washington. We're waiting for Neil Harmon. He's the CEO and does such tremendous work. We right now are in the midst of taking the fight to Iran. We're told we're going after some missile battery sites, strategic installations there. This after Iran had shot down an Apache helicopter. Do you know, for the first time, we used an AI drone boat to go rescue the two helicopter pilots that were shot down in that Apache. They were in the water off the Straits of Hormuz for almost two hours. We got them, though, and they're fine. But think about this. Iran tried to kill two American service members. The fight must be taken to them. It is right now in a strategic manner, we're told. This is. President Trump thinks we're two days away from a deal. Here is speaker of the House Mike Johnson.

Yeah. It was announced just as we were walking in here. There is a defensive strike that has been taken. It is proportional and limited. The White House and the Pentagon have announced and said it's against unjustified Iranian aggression. They did notify me as the leader of the House before this began. And its targeted strikes to. To the radar, missile and command and control sites. And it is defensive in nature.

All right. So strategic in nature. I'm completely ready to obliterate this country. I don't think there is any negotiating with them. I really don't. President Trump continues to show great patience. He wants a deal for the good of the world. I will continue to trust him on this. But, man, I'm telling you what. If I was your commander in chief, that place would be leveled, and it would have been leveled weeks ago. Now, to something we don't talk about a lot, but it's still going on, and that is illegal immigration. And what we do is with the illegals that flooded into this country under Joe Biden, Tom Holman said this. There is a surge going on in New York.

Now we got to send a whole team to look for that guy. So she took the efficiencies of the jails away and the 287G agreement. So it's only.

One agent can arrest one bad guy in the safety and security of the jail, which is safer for the aliens, safer for the agent, and safer for the community. But she decided to kill all that. So now we got to send more agents to do the job that would have took one person.

All right, Ben, explain to me why you're down near Eagle Pass when I thought everything shut down down there. What's happening?

Well, that's what we're doing. You know, it's the Reagan Trust but verify. It's also celebrating some of the winds. You know, we're so focused on Division. Unfortunately, even on the right, there are people that are focused on Division. A lot of people have forgotten what happened down here. We went from the worst border in the history of our country, and I wanted to come down and see it firsthand to. To the best border in the history of our country. We started in the Gulf of America on Sunday. We've been going. We did Brownsville, McAllen. Now I'm heading to Del Rio. We'll be doing Laredo, El Paso, and all the way out to San Diego. And basically showing you twofold what President Trump has done to make this the most secure border in the history of our country. Yes, Secretary Mayorkas, this is what operational control looks like. This is what a secured border looks like, not the garbage you gave us. And two, where the threats still lie. And that's part of what I saw today down in Mexico. Just because we're closed, the border's closed, doesn't mean that the cartels have stopped, and it doesn't mean that you don't have illegals around the world that are just biding their time to come invade our country.

I don't want to cut you off, but I want to run this video and maybe you can explain it for me. So this is a migrant camp. Is that right? You shot video with a. With a drone today? Explain to me what we're seeing here.

Yeah, so this is one of three camps. It's called Santa Davita. I interviewed the director of this camp, Pastor Hector, and he's a really great guy. He actually started, you know, 30 years ago just trying to care for locals that were suffering. What happened under Biden was basically there was so much money, so many illegals coming through this, they made these massive camps. They turned this little tiny thing that I interviewed him the first time I went down there years and years ago into this massive. Two massive facilities where they were housing hundreds, at one point, over 700 in one of the locations. And every single day, they were getting more. They were passing them through. They were handing them over to the US Side because Joe Biden said, keep them coming. Now that entire place is empty. But the truth is, there's still 7,000 illegals in that tiny town, that small town of Reynosa, and there are a million scattered across Mexico right now, waiting in the hopes that a Democrat takes over, in the hopes that President Trump's executive orders don't turn into law in America so that they can invade us again. That's what's happening right now. They know they can't come in. They know they're going to get turned away, and so they're waiting in Mexico for their opportunity to come back. But the camps are empty. The camps that were used to smuggle millions of people into our country by the United nations and Catholic Charities, they're empty. It's just the people that are down there in Mexico City, in Monterrey and all the border cities that are just biding their time, trying to hide out until their next opportunity.

Their election system, to use the words of Steve Hilton, the man running for governor as a Republican, sucks. It really does. They're still counting. They can count the votes up until midnight tonight, a week after the election. Now, the Democrats continue to insist there is no fraud in California. Now, I would only ask them this. Do they acknowledge that if illegal aliens can get a driver's license and when you go to the DMV in California, they just ask you, would you like to be registered to vote? Would that mean that illegals could easily be registered to vote with no checks and balances? Would they acknowledge that? They probably wouldn't. But a common sense person would when you ask them, hey, you mail a ballot to everyone. You can request a ballot online, sent anywhere, and they'll mail it. Would that be ripe for fraud? They'll probably tell you no, but anybody with common sense would tell you that it most certainly is. And if the few people that show up to vote don't have to show an id, would that be ripe for fraud? Of course it would. Here's Hakeem Jeffries.

There is no election fraud in California. Donald Trump is making it up. He can't point to a shred of evidence to prove his point. This is all a conspiracy theory because Donald Trump knows in November he's going down in flames and electorally and Republicans are about to lose the House.

Well, I will say this. I don't think there's any conspiracy theory. We know that there were arrests last week for people registering homeless people to vote and paying them. That is voter fraud going on. I don't know why any Republican doesn't just keep bringing that up over and over again. But I want to bring in to discuss this the author of Fraud and vice president of the research of Research at the Government Accountability Institute, Eric Eggers is with us. Eric, it's great to have you back on the program.

Man, isn't that the truth? So, Eric, I'll ask you a question that I actually have. I did radio out in Los Angeles. I'm full well of the system, but I do agree with Harry Enton at CNN that says, boy, Karen Bash, you'd rather run against, against Spencer Pratt than Nithya Ramen. So is it Nithya Ramen's people rigging the system? I mean, where are we getting all these votes for her? And none are coming in for Bass. None are coming in for Spencer Pratt. And Nithya Rahman keeps. Keeps rising.

Yeah, it's a great question. And so we're talking about the Los Angeles mayor's race specifically. We've actually done research into it's Nithya Raman, but it's. It's another socialist, actually, who I think is pulling some strings and proving to be quite influential in California. And, and his name is Tom Steyer. Now, it's ironic that he's getting the support of the socialists in California because he happens to be a billionaire. Yet somehow the socialist said, hey, that's the guy we like. He's gotten the endorsement from the Democrat Socialists. He's leveraged his connections and quite honestly, his financial influence with the unions. And so I think she's taken advantage of his paid network of ballot harvesters. He's invested over $200 million in this effort to be reelected or, excuse me, to be elected. And quite honestly, I believe that the same people who support him there are exploiting the loopholes that allow for collections of ballots on skid row, hundreds of people who are registered to vote at places at homeless shelters with no actual beds. You've got testimony in the California Post saying that we've been paid with cigarettes and maybe a shower to fill out some ballots and to collect some other ones. It's quite scandalous. And to your larger point about is this actual fraud, the real scandal, the real crime from a sociological standpoint is what's legal in California. You know, you said you used to do L. A radio. You should check. You might have actually voted in this race and you might not know about it because your name probably wasn't removed from the voter rolls. And it's just one of the many things they haven't audited these roles. It's incredible. It's incredible. All these loopholes continue exploited by lots of groups.

Let me just say this. I never moved to L. A, I stayed in Texas. I wasn't moving to L. A, but I very well may have voted in and who knows, maybe they were using my name as a fake. Who knows what. So the question then becomes, eric, ballot harvesting is legal in California. It really is. And a few Republicans have figured out ways to harvest ballots, but they're not filling them out for people. Are Democrats filling them out? So they're harvesting ballots than filling them out however they want to fill them out. That would be illegal.

It, well, it might be illegal, but how would you know if they were? Because that's the problem, right? That's the problem with ballot harvesting is you have completely removed the filling out, collection and delivery of the ballot from anyone whose actual job it is to ensure election integrity. Like that's the problem here. So on the Democrat Socialist association website, they actually have a script that they follow and they say, hi, are you supporting our candidate? And the answer is no. It literally says on the website, keep it moving. But if the answer is yes, then they tell you to ask three different times, may I please help you fill out this ballot? And then here's the irony. And this is from socialists. These are from people who believe in big government. They say, hey, you don't want to trust the post office. You don't want this ballot to get lost in the city hall, AKA the government. You should give it to me, a paid volunteer and I private enterprise person who happens to work for socialists will then take this ballot and deliver it on your behalf. And, and so I mean that's literally what these socialist websites say. And that's just one group. We know that Tom Star Nithya Rahman has connections with the unions and everybody else. So no, it's insane the stuff that they're trying to get away with.

It seems outrageous to me that they claim that there's no fraud. When you just spelled out this, all of the. The evidence of shenanigans going on, the late night vote dumps. Crazy. We want to, we'll be well capitalized for that, to really play offense and get after it, and that'll put us in really nice position for an early spring situation.

All right. One of the things that I'm really big on is credibility and transparency when I bring companies like yours on this program to offer up to our viewers out there. You have a guy on your board who I had actually heard of. His name is Paul Kessler, founder of Bristol Capital Advisors. If I'm. If I remember correctly, he founded StartEngine, which is one of the biggest, most successful incubators in Los angeles. He's got $24 million invested in Sugarfina. Is. Is that right? What should that be telling investors?

Yeah, Paul's a great friend. I've known him for over 25 years. He was one of the co founders in StartEngine. He and his wife Diana are my partners in this transaction. Diana and my wife were college roommates at ucla. So you can say the four of us are in it to win it together. And they are amazing investors, great strategists for me as a CEO and they're on the board with me. It's a three person board. We figure out the strategy for Sugarfina both on the M and A side as well as on the capital raising side and the public markets. And so Paul's insights are just really instructive at perfect times for me.

We've had our money to work in, as you said, to over $24 million. We've had our money to work in this for five, six years now. And so we're highly motivated just like they are. We'd love to build, we want to build a multibillion dollar company. I've led spinoffs before. I led the, the Hilton Gaming spinoff for Baron Hilton a few years back and created Park Place Entertainment and Caesars Entertainment. It had about 500, 600 million of revenues. When we spun it off five years later, it was 5.5 billion because it became part of the public markets and we had access to capital. That's my plan right now for Sugar Feed.
