Welcome to Stinchfield Tonight. I am Bo Davidson filling in for Grant tonight. Thank you so much for watching. Well, this past weekend, I, along with a number of my colleagues Here at Real America's Voice, covered Turning Point USA's America Fest out in Phoenix, Arizona. Now, typically, this is Turning Point's biggest event where they bring out the big names. Even Donald Trump spoke actually last year, but this year had a different tenor to the festival because their leader and founder, Charlie Kirk, was assassinated on September 10 while speaking at a Utah college. The alleged assassin was Tyler Robinson, who used his grandfather's rifle to shoot Charlie without anyone seeming to notice. Now, this was a huge blow. It was surreal. In many ways, it was a JFK moment for this generation. Charlie Kirk was a John F. Kennedy to this generation. He spoke a message of positivity and optimism and would go to these college campuses and merely say, prove me wrong. He invited everyone to ask questions and create a dialogue. Now, some of those topics were indeed controversial, especially about gender identity and transgenderism. But at the core of Charlie's message was questioning things, being able to have an open dialogue exactly as the framers of our Constitution intended. And in the end, it's what got him killed. Not for inflammatory rhetoric or a monologue, but rather a dialogue. And it was Charlie Kirk who helped Donald Trump get elected. He saw the stage. He knew the stakes. And not only was he pivotal in getting Gen Z to vote for Trump, he was pivotal in the transition team vetting potential placements in this current administration. I first met Charlie in about, I think it was 2021 at Amfest and interviewed him about what celebrity whose mind he would like to change the most if he could. His answer was actually clairvoyant. It was Elon Musk, and I'll never forget that interview. So for this particular amfest, it was without Charlie for the first time, and it was led by his widow, Erica Kirk. And I don't know if we could have known. But right out of the gate, the stage was set with some inner turmoil, with Ben Shapiro and Tucker Carlson trading barbs at each other. On Thursday night, what I thought might be a unifying message opened up pretty divisively let's take a look at how Ben Shapiro addressed the Amfest crowd.
Neil McCabe
Friendship with the person accusing TPUSA of a cover up of Charlie's murder is no excuse for cowardice. Third, and relatedly, we have a duty to take responsibility for what we say and do. If we hire awful people, we're responsible for that. I have some experience there, as you might suspect. That means that if we offer a guest for your viewing, we owe it to you to ask the kinds of questions that actually get at the truth. If we agree with a guest, that's fine, but we should own it. So, for example, if you host a Hitler apologist, Nazi loving, anti American piece of refuse like Nick Fuentes, You know the Nick Fuentes who said that the Vice President of the United States is a quote, fat gay race traitor married to a jeet. The person who said that Charlie Kirk was a, quote, idiot. The person who said, and pardon my language here, it's his quote that he, quote, took Turning Point USA and it. And that's why it's filled with gripers. If you have that person on your show and you proceed to glaze him, you ought to own it. There is a reason that Charlie Kirk despised Nick Fuentes and indeed even chided Dinesh d' Souza for debating him. He knew that Nick Fuentes is an evil troll and that building him up is an act of moral imbecility. And that is precisely what Tucker Carlson did. He built Nick Fuentes up and he ought to take responsibility for that. Just as he ought to take responsibility for glazing and alleged sex trafficker Andrew Tate, or for mainstreaming fake historian and pseudo Nazi apologist Daryl Cooper as America's best and most honest popular historian. Hosts are indeed responsible for the guests they choose and the questions they ask those guests.
Bo Joe Davidson
Oh boy. Now, once these shots were fired, Tucker Carlson took the stage later that very night and as Tucker would naturally do, he defended himself. Take a look. And I'm not saying everyone who disagrees with me is on the side of evil. I don't think that. I think I'm often wrong.
Neil McCabe
I know that I am.
Bo Joe Davidson
But I do think that fundamentally this is light versus darkness. I do. And darkness is characterized by rage and division and chaos and confusion. And light is God is characterized by the opposite of those things. And I've noticed this. There are attempts to make people hateful. One of the reasons people scream insults in your face is to provoke a reaction from you and make you hate them. They want you to hate them. They want you to become what they call you why? Because evil feeds on hate. That's why. So don't participate in that. And the way that I try to keep myself from becoming what they say I am is by remembering that I am, on the most basic level, no better than my persecutors. I am no better than my persecutors. And that's why I'm commanded to pray for them. Because we have all fallen short of Jesus, period. And I'm reminded of that every day in the structure of the Lord's Prayer, where we first are told by Jesus to ask for forgiveness for our sins before we start diagnosing the plank in our neighbors or in the speck in our neighbor's eye. The whole thing begins with, I'm a pompous douchebag. I'll admit it. That's essential. It's essential. We are called to be righteous, but not self righteous. And we're also called, and I have to say this before opening it up to your hostile questions, we should also be very on guard against people who try to leverage the word of God, the words of Jesus, for political ends. Wow. And even Megyn Kelly jumped into the fray, but in a much more subtle and subdued way as she took the stage in a chat with Jack Posobic. I actually liked what Meghan had to say because Meghan sees things from a 360 degree and 30,000 foot perspective. Ironically, a special guest was announced and somehow I guessed it would be rapper Nicki Minaj. Now, I only guessed this because of some tweets that she had taking shots at Gavin Newsom and also the fact that J.D. vance supported her over Cardi B in a tweet. And then Nikki seemed to express favor for Vance over Newsom. So on Sunday, it was actually Nicki Minaj who came out with Erica Kirk. Before JD Vance spoke, let's listen to what she had to say. I'm proud of you guys.

Bo Joe Davidson
So you had this stage set for infighting, really. And even Rav's own Steve Bannon jumped in the fray and lobbed some bombs at Ben Shapiro. It was clear that America Fest had almost become a proxy war for America first or Israel First. Now, for many in the Amfest and conservative world. This infighting was a nasty distraction. Liberals certainly had a field day with it. And one of my personal favorite politicians, Congressman Byron Donalds, spoke very eloquently and frankly about what playground fighting does. It just makes you look petty and immature. I was able to interview him on the final day of Amfest, and here's what he had to say. Congressman, I watched your speech, and I just love how frank you always speak to people. One thing you said that I'd love for you to touch on is you said it's easy to cut someone down, but it's hard to build them back up. We need to have a spirit of love and unity, especially for those young people out there who don't come to Turning Point usa. Speak to that.
Congressman Byron Donalds
It's real simple. Do you want to win or you want to be or act like you're right. Except I choose victory. If you're victorious, you get to continue those debates on some of the slight disagreements that are within the conservative movement. Let's be honest, there are slight disagreements. That's. That's part of the business. That's really part of politics. It's never changed. But if all we do is try to find ways to cut down the other person to get ahead, our movement won't be successful. I've been in this 15 years, like I said, on stage, Tea Party movement, State House, U.S. house. I'm not interested in owning somebody just for the sake of owning them. Because even when we were spending a lot of time owning the libs, that was great for a time. But what really matters is winning. What really matters is institutionalizing an agenda, not just getting, you know, 100 likes or 500 likes or a thousand likes or 10,000 likes on social media. What does that actually do? At the end of the day, it might make you feel good. There is no substitute for victory. That's what I believe in.
Bo Joe Davidson
Amen to that.
Neil McCabe
The, you know, one of the things you said up there, and we're just talking about this, we won. President Trump's in there. We've got the House, we've got the Senate. President Trump's passing a lot of executive orders. But my big concern is 2026. We got the Democrats coming, and we're talking about the filibuster. Tell me about the significance, the importance of ending that now to codify these things into law before the Democrats someday get power back.
Congressman Byron Donalds
Well, look, Tom Holman was on stage before I was. Everything that the president has done has secured this nation, which is what the American people Want is what they voted for. And that's been accomplished.
Neil McCabe
Okay.
Congressman Byron Donalds
But the way you put it in law is you got to get it through the U.S. senate. Name me a Democrat senator that's going to vote for Donald Trump's border procedures. They all oppose them. And I know the last time that there was, there was a mansion in cinema, didn't want to blow up the filibuster. Well, guess what, they're gone. Cinema was replaced by a radical. So now the situation is, how do you institutionalize your agenda? You do that, you get rid of the filibuster, you pass all of the executive orders, you pass the other pieces of policy that are necessary, and Congress actually provides real solutions that people, Americans now get to choose. If we actually get our work done and we've gotten some of it done, I'm not saying none of it's been done, but if you get all of your work done, then now you have something to run on and now you have something for the American people to choose. Because now they get to decide do I want these set of policies which has made America better, or do I want to go back to the old set of policies that were destructive of the nation. I think we got to get real about where we are. The Democrats are going to blow it up when they come back 100%. And last thing I'll say, last thing I'll say, the purpose of majorities is to. Is to pass your agenda. That's the purpose of majorities. The purpose of majorities is, is not to keep majorities. And this is the thing that frustrates me with Washington because so much of it is, well, we got to keep the majority. Well, we got to keep the majority. Well, we got to keep the majority. But to what end?
Gloria Gaynor
Right?
Congressman Byron Donalds
Majorities are for accomplishing and passing your agenda.
Neil McCabe
Yeah. No, and you look at what the left does, weaponizing the justice system, the injustice system against us. Everything they do, they fight to kill us. We get into power and we fight to hold position instead of actually get things done. That's exactly right. But if you're to the, the American audience out there. So to that end, how can they help you? Who should they call? What should they do to get the filibuster?
Congressman Byron Donalds
You got to, you got to. People need to start calling John Doon and some of these senators, like Senate leadership. You really got to start calling them and letting them know about this. I don't think this issue is going to go away. I think President Trump is absolutely correct. Get rid of the filibuster we can get these things done. So many people in our country are concerned about spending. I'm concerned about spending. You think the Democrats are actually going to vote to cut spending? No, they're not going to do it. We know this. And so I actually believe without the Senate filibuster, you'd actually get more compromise in the Senate because you'd get some Democrats who would say, oh, shoot, this bill's moving without me. You know what, on second thought, let me go sit with somebody and see if we can get a solution done. But the way it works right now, it either passes out of the House or there is stuff that doesn't even leave the House because we know it's not going to get a vote in the Senate.
Bo Joe Davidson
So you see there, Byron recognizes that the young people out there who have trouble affording a car or a home, Ben versus Candace or Tucker, means nothing. That's rich people problems. And in the end, the young Gen Z voter will see this and think it looks pathetic and weak. It sends no unifying message whatsoever. And we know that Democrats typically band together even when they seem to disagree. Well, joining me now to discuss this is national political reporter and front page contributor@redstate.com, neil McCabe. Neal, welcome to the program.
Neil McCabe
Hey, Paul, Good to see you, man. Long time.
Bo Joe Davidson
It's. It has been a long time, and it's great to have you on tonight as I'm here in Long Island, New York. Cold. Long Island, New York. Neil, I just want to touch on what, what? Strong Island. That's right. That's right. I like that. Neil, after four days of Amfest when I was there, it really felt kind of like a bludgeoning in some ways. And I kind of wanted to see some solidarity and a respect for Charlie's legacy, but, you know, ended up seeing some petty infighting. What did you see?
Neil McCabe
Well, I think, you know, maybe next year it's going to be different. But this year, coming so soon after Charlie's death, I think that things are just especially raw, especially for real America's Voice, you know, the, the staff and the people who work here and, and obviously, you know, the viewers who have a personal relationship with Charlie because he's, you know, he was part of the roster. And, you know, it was, it was very much like losing a member of the family. Somebody used to visit your living room, so to speak, every day. And of course, you know, Amfest has always had a strong presence with real America's Voice, you know, and then this year, you know, everybody Everybody used to blow it off. All the media sort of piled in. And so you had more reporters, you had more media, you had more satellite trucks in the parking lot. And so there was that. Now. Now you needed something to cover. Everyone showed up and said, no, we need something to cover. And so I think that what. What was really at play there, like you were saying with Megyn Kelly going 30,000ft, is that it's good to have those conversations inside the tent, inside the amfest tent. What you don't want is you don't want these discussions to go on. On two or three conferences in different states on the same weekend. Everybody is in the place. And you go to a lot of these conferences, you know, and they're. And they're great, and I enjoy all of them, but sometimes you go to them. The conversations in the hallway, the conversations on Media Row have nothing to do with what's going on on stage. And the speakers and the workshops are almost on their. You know, they're. They're an automatic pilot, and they just seem to be ignoring what's buzzing outside the, you know, the speaker's room. But I think at amfest this year, everything that was buzzing in the hallways and on Media Row, what everyone was talking about at dinner was going on on stage. And I think that's electric. I think that's healthy. It's kind of raw sometimes, but that's. That's part of growth. And then, of course, with the layer, people are still processing, Charlie's being gone. And, you know, sometimes you even forget that he's gone because it's. It just doesn't seem real. And so to have that all. It created a very interesting cocktail. Obviously, the left is going to manipulate it. They're going to twist it, but, you know, that's what they do. I don't expect them to understand what's going on, because the media, you go to CNN or Ms. Now, or any of these places, they talk about conservatives, you know, like, pet the animals they saw at the zoo during a custody weekend. They don't. They don't know any Republicans. They don't know any maga. And so for them, they have no idea what they're talking about.
Bo Joe Davidson
Neil, I want to ask you this. I hadn't thought of this, really, until now, but I noticed that, of course, Real America's Voice, we had an amazing presence there. Amazing stage, amazing talent, amazing everything. The Daily Wire had a pretty big presence as well. Bigger than I thought that they would. And I'm just curious if you think that a Guy like Ben Shapiro, who I've always respected, always thought he had incredible salient points. His ability to process information is remarkable. With this vacuum that has been created with Charlie Kirk being gone, do you think there is any hubris or ego at all with someone like Ben Shapiro or others? I'm not gonna just say just him to usurp this position that Charlie had, which I don't think anyone can actually ever do, because there's not gonna be another Charlie Kirk. But is there any sort of jockeying for position that we saw perhaps playing out on stage?
Neil McCabe
Yeah, I think you nailed that. And I hadn't thought about that until you mentioned it. You know, the joke is that, you know, the Democrats, they griff when they're in government and the Republicans griff when they're on the campaign, you know, and that's just the two different cultures. And so I'm really tired of Republicans and conservatives calling each other grifters controlled opposition. There's all these sort of things that we say about each other, which is really kind of garbage. Everyone's sort of working their own agenda. Everybody's got their own priorities, and it's good that everybody's together. I've known Shapiro for, you know, more than a decade. He's always been great to me. And, you know, I think that Ben saw an opportunity and he took it. And I think that you're absolutely right that there was some jockeying, because frankly, you know, there's also. There's 26, but there's also 20, 28. And so, you know, 28 is also in play because, you know, President Trump is termed out maybe or maybe not.
Bo Joe Davidson
Yeah, that's true. I just think that some of those issues, like you said, should have been held maybe with inside the tent and not put on such a national st. But it's just interesting with this jockeying for position that's happening, and I don't know who's trying to do what, but it sure felt that way. I think it was palpable because a lot of people like, oh, oh, look at this. Let's all go see. And that makes great television, Neal. But it also doesn't necessarily make for a great movement. So I think we're gonna hold you over and for a couple breaks, and I'd love for you to stick around and we'll continue the conversation. Okay, Neil.
Neil McCabe
Fantastic, Paul.
Bo Joe Davidson
Thanks, Neil. Well, gold is up around 40% this year. Now, that's not speculation. That is a reality. And if a portion of your savings isn't diversified into Gold well, you're missing the boat. Now here are the facts. Inflation is still too high, the US Dollar is still too weak and the government debt is insurmountable. That is why central banks are flocking to gold. But it's not too late to buy gold from Birch Gold Group. They can help you convert an existing IRA or a 401 into a tax sheltered IRA. In gold you don't pay a dime out of pocket. All you gotta do is just text America to 98-98-98 and claim your free info kit. There's no obligation, just useful information. Well, tonight the Trump Kennedy center will honor American icons at their annual ceremony. But coming up after the break, my exclusive interview with honoree Gloria Gaynor. You won't want to miss it. Welcome back to Stinchfield Tonight. I'm Bo Joe Davidson filling in for Grant. Well, tonight CBS will air the Kennedy Center Honors, a TV special that honors the best in American entertainment and culture, hosted by Donald Trump, which is a historic first. I attended the show a few weeks ago since what's on CBS Tonight was actually taped live and I was able to spend some time on the red carpet with many of the honorees. More importantly, I created a one hour TV special called the Road to the Kennedy Center Honors, which will air tomorrow at 7am Eastern and 7pm Eastern, as well as a few other times throughout this Christmas week. And I hope you'll watch those the honorees this year are Sylvester Stallone, Gloria Gaynor, Michael Crawford, George Strait and the band Kiss. I was able to interview most of these honorees or at the very least, people who helped shape their careers. And I want to give you just a little preview of this special. I interviewed Gloria Gaynor, the disco queen who is best known as the singer of I Will Survive. Hope you enjoy this interview with Gloria Gaynor. Gloria, I understand that there was always music in your house growing up. What was your first musical memory, if you can recall?
Gloria Gaynor
First musical memory My Mother singing to me. I think that's probably every child's first musical memory. Yeah, my mother's singing to me the songs that she used to sing around the house all the time.
Bo Joe Davidson
Well, I read in your autobiography that you always wanted to sing, but nobody in your family knew it. Talk about how important it can be to recognize a child's musical abilities and ambition since you had to kind of forge your own path.
Gloria Gaynor
I did have to forge my own path. And you're absolutely right. It is important that parents and siblings recognize another sibling's or child's musical or whatever kind of talents that they have, their hopes and dreams and desires to forge their way in life with whatever gifts they've been given. Because, I mean, that's what we're all meant to do. That's why we're giving these gifts. And so we all need that support and encouragement to follow through.
Bo Joe Davidson
Now, Honeybee seemed to be your first real hit, and I'm curious if, when you recorded it, if you thought it would be the hit that it became.
Gloria Gaynor
First, when I recorded Honeybee, as a matter of fact, I didn't even want to record Honeybee. I wanted to record at that time, I was interested in jazz music, and that was what I wanted to record. Clive Davis had that song written for me by Mervyn and Marvin Steele, a couple of brothers who were songwriters. And that was why that was my first recording after it was recorded, and people began to like it and it became a hit. Of course, then I liked it as well and was pleased that I had done it and realized that Clive probably knew better than I did.
Bo Joe Davidson
Well, Gloria, you've had a tremendous career, but often, you know, we don't really hear about the struggle and tribulations that artists go through. What dark days did you have to personally overcome?
Gloria Gaynor
Whenever I recorded at that time, I think it was the same with all artists, especially female artists, that you were an instrument that was used by the record company. You recorded a song and they did what they thought should be done with it, whether you agreed with it or. Or not. So I'm glad to be at the forefront of that and having had to struggle through that and make my own way, make my own voice heard, because I found it very difficult at times. I mean, I had many songs even after that that record companies either didn't like or didn't care about and didn't promote, and people never heard of them. So it can be quite a struggle if you don't have to people in your corner to help you push through the Things that you think are valuable and the things that you believe, represent and want to represent you and your talent.
Bo Joe Davidson
Well, Lori, I think this story is so interesting. You know, many might not know that I Will Survive was a B side song because the A side song was a song called Substitute, which took up most of the recording session. You recorded it with a back brace on and in only about 30 minutes. I understand the record label didn't really believe in it. So it seems that you had to live the very lyrics of the song for it to become the hit that had is today. Is that true?
Gloria Gaynor
Well, yeah, I had to forge my way with that. And the first thing that we did was take it back to the record company and ask them if they would change their minds, if they would switch it and make that the A side. And they would not listen because nobody wanted to go against the song that the President had chosen, which was the other song we call aptly named Substitute. So then we took it to Studio 54 where they had this great well known DJ and we asked him to play it. He very graciously played this song. And when this jaded New York audience stormed the dance floor on the first time of hearing this song, there was no doubt in my mind that we were right. This was a hit song. So we gave him the box of 25 CDs to give to his DJ friends around New York. He did that and they began to play it. People began to request it, not only in the clubs but on radio and well, the rest is history.
Bo Joe Davidson
Gloria, I understand that in 1982 that you became a Christian. And often we see artists turn away from Christianity in pursuit of self rather than turn to it. Talk to me about this decision in your life and what changed for you.
Gloria Gaynor
Well, when I first started to look into Christianity, it was because of what had happened to me with my spine surgery. I was in the hospital laying a on my back, not knowing when I was ever going to be able to get up and walk again and not only pursue my career, but pursue life. And so I was calling out to God as we often do when we get in trouble. And he answered me. He answered me so many times and in so many ways and gave me so much hope and encouraged me and just with things and people that were saying things in my life and how my life began to turn around. And it's incredible. It truly is incredible.
Bo Joe Davidson
Well, your nomination places you among previous honorees such as Ella Fitzgerald, Leontine Price, Marian Williams, Aretha Franklin, Tina Turner, Diana Ross and Dionne Warwick, who would you say had the most profound impact upon you and your music career?
Gloria Gaynor
Well, Ella Fitzgerald was one of them. And in the beginning of my career, I did listen to Dionne Warwick and I listened to Barbra Streisand and I listened to all of these great artists who already had great recordings and great success and great voices, and I listened to them and to. To help me with my diction and phrasing and vocal acrobatics, so to speak, which doesn't seem to be very prominent among singers today. But those were the things that were at that time, were important at that time, still are important to me and still are a part of my recordings and my vocals. But those are the people who uplifted and encouraged me without even knowing it, just from what they did with their careers.
Bo Joe Davidson
Well, Gloria, you became a Grammy winner 40 years after I Will Survive for your gospel roots album Testimony. And you have a new EP called Happy Tears. It seems that you are not just surviving, but thriving. You think you'll keep making music as long as God allows you to?
Gloria Gaynor
Absolutely will. I absolutely will. I can't imagine myself doing anything else. And I often say to you, I'm like a spinning top. If I stop, I will drop.
Bo Joe Davidson
Well, Gloria, congratulations on this tremendous honor and thank you for being such an inspiration. Thank you so much. You know, with Christmas being just two days away, I thought that this message was profound, that she has made her entire career upon the bedrock of Christianity and wants her legacy to reflect that. I really hope that you will enjoy my special as much as I enjoyed creating it for you guys. So please tune in tomorrow at 7am and 7pm Eastern to check it out and keep your eyes peeled on social media for all the other times and dates. Well, there's a major push in the nation's capital to end child mutilation in the name of trans care. We get into it next. Stay tuned.

Welcome back to Stinchfield. Tonight, protecting children's innocence is of paramount importance. But amazingly, not everyone feels that way. And believe it or not, it's not a Republican or Democrat issue. In fact, the Protect Children's Innocent act sponsored by Marjorie Taylor Greene was not passed by divided party lines. Now, you would think that this bill should pass unanimously, but it did not. It was actually a very thin slim majority with some Democrats joining the Republicans and a few Republicans defecting and voting against it. Joining me now is RAV chief White House correspondent Brian Glenn. Good evening, Brian. You know, it was so great to be with you at Turning Point USA AM Fest this past weekend and, and you know, we really got into the nitty gritty of a lot of pressing issues, not the least of which was this very bill that that MTG had before she retired. You've highlighted and acknowledged the Democrats who crossed party lines to pass this bill. So let's talk about them and let's also talk about the Republicans who voted against it.
Neil McCabe
Yeah.
Brian Glenn
Bo, good evening. Thanks for having me on. You know, it's interesting during the Trump campaign how he always pushed back against this transgender agenda that the left has. He would often say transgender for everyone, transgender this, transgender that. So what this bill does, it is a bill that makes it a felony to perform transgender surgeries on minors. That would be anyone under the age of 18. Now any, most of our viewers, I would think Beau that are watchers right now would say, well, this is kind of a no brainer. This is I think probably a 99 to 1% issue across the board. But when this bill came to the floor for a vote and this was the first time that it's come to the floor for the vote. This bill was in last session of Congress and never brought to the floor for an official vote, although it was mainly campaign for President Trump. But this session it went to the floor for a vote and only passed because we had the help of three Democrats and Don Davis being one of them in North Carolina. But four House Republicans voted against this bill and Dr. Greg Murphy of North Carolina was a did not vote, which helps the percentage as far as getting this thing approved, but did not go on the record for showing his support. So this was a huge vote for the public. The public wants to see this pass. But Bo, sadly, sadly it did not pass purely from the support of Republicans.
Bo Joe Davidson
All right, well, let's take, let's take the doctor out for a second because he voted present, which was kind of a wuss move. To the three others who defected, what do they say to their constituents who, like you said, it's a 99 to 1 issue, why in God's name would they vote against it? What would their reasoning be?
Brian Glenn
Well, one of the reasons about it, ones that like Mike Lawler in New York was one of the Republicans that did not vote for it. Now, that is a very purple district where he's at. Brian Fitzpatrick as well in Pennsylvania, that's a very purple district. So they're on kind of the edge where they're not, it's not entirely Republican. And what they have said is this should be something that's designated to the states. It should not be a federal issue. It should be each state determines whether or not someone under the age of 18 can go under the transitioning drugs and surgery. Now, Bo, that's like saying you can, you can't. You, you know, you can beat your kid in your front yard, but if you step out into the street or your neighbor's yard, if you beat your kid there, that becomes a crime. So this is one of those things, things that has to be a national issue. It's so serious. And like I said, it's probably a 99 to 1 issue in the public court of opinion. But sadly, I'm thinking, though also one of the reasons why I would think you had a few that did not vote for it is because this is the most emerging sector in the pharmaceutical industry, transitioning drugs. So, so if you have an elected official that is taking money from big pharma, you can bet your bottom dollar they're not going to vote against something that their pockets have been lined with big pharma money. Or in the case of Dr. Greg Murphy, he's not going to go against the medical community. That is something that is just taboo, sadly, even though it is the best, best for the patient. As you and I both learned, Dr. Ross, that we had one of the interviews, both you remember that doctor talking about all the problems these kids go after these transitioning surgeries or these chemical drugs that they have to take.
Bo Joe Davidson
Yeah. And speaking of that, Brian, remember, we interviewed him and we interviewed Dr. Ross and Chloe Cole, who's the D transitioner. That's right. Now, I don't have the clip of our interview with her, but I do want to talk about that on the other side of this. This. Let's play a quick Clip of some of Chloe's thoughts.
Trainer Games Announcer
Every boy and every girl deserves to be loved the way that they were beautifully created in their mother's womb. And to the young people out there who are struggling with this mental illness, I want you to know that there is a better way out and it's not too late to accept the beautiful way that God has created you.
Bo Joe Davidson
You know, Brian, when you and I interviewed her, I thought it was really, really profound. But even from this interview, her saying mental illness, calling it that this is someone who transitioned and then detransitioned and calling it that. So it's not like someone on the outside saying it's someone from the inside who's personally experienced it. And also remember that she said that some of the effects of some of the transition that she made are irreversible, that she still feels some of those effects. And I think about a minor doing that and being unable to potentially have a child if they went through this procedure. I just thought that that was really profound to me. I think more of Chloe's words need to be amplified. But what you just said too, about pharmaceutically lined pockets is of great relevance, I think in the situation.
Neil McCabe
It really is.
Brian Glenn
And I'll give you another case in point. I just read a story today about Caitlyn Jenner, previously Bruce Jenner, going back to Bruce Jenner. So maybe we're seeing a trend. Yes, maybe we're seeing a trend that this got very popular under the Biden administration, became fashionably cool to transition or to embrace the transitioning ideology that you could become any, any gender that you want. Just go to your local doctor and tell them how you feel. You want to become a bunny rabbit, why not do that, too? So I think you're seeing a shift in the society and it may be perhaps from Democrats even that think that this did not help them in the election. It just didn't. It backfired on them thinking that we've got to have the Trans Visibility Day and all these other holidays around the trans community and it's just not being embraced by, by the American people. And God forbid, look, if someone, if someone is struggling with their gender identity, Bo, you and I are men of faith. We pray for them that they receive some type of clarity and peace of who God created them. But Caitlyn Jenner, Bruce Jenner, that's a good case right now that you can look at. Once somebody goes that way, you know what? It wasn't the right decision. That's why she's going back to Bruce Jenner. And really trying to get back to how God made it.
Bo Joe Davidson
It's just so interesting to me that Democrats wanted to push this issue from the perspective of, okay, be who you want to be. We all want you to be who you want to be. But to the extent that you reverse things that you can't reverse back, why shouldn't any of those people talking to mental health professionals that may say, what you have is something different, and we need to discuss that and discuss what God wants you to be, rather than saying, you know what, let's pop a few pills, let's hack off this, let's do a little bit of this and that, let's clean you up surgically, and then you go about your merry way, knowing that there's no way you may be. You'll be able to reverse that. I think that's where the conversation needs to start. And the fact that you, like you said, Caitlin, might want to be Bruce again tells you there's some buyer's remorse out there. So, Brian, before I let you go, really quickly, where does this bill stand? It does have to go to the Senate. Does it live? Does it die? What do you think?
Brian Glenn
That's a great question, Bo. It does have to go to the Senate. Now, one would think that, once again, common sense would prevail in all of this and that they would support what President Trump, who, by the way, has an executive order that mirrors this bill, you would think that the Republicans in the Senate would pass this thing with the help of a few Democrats as well. I would think there's three or four Democrats at least, that might get behind this. But it goes to the floor for a vote. I anticipate early next year. Even if it doesn't pass both. This is a test. Let's put on record what Republicans will not stand behind. President Trump and his executive order to ban transgender surgery. Put it on the record. So we know exactly how to vote in the midterms, Bo.
Bo Joe Davidson
I mean, to that, particularly if you got people like Chloe Cole coming out and making their voices louder and even potentially Bruce Jenner saying, I've had enough of this. I was misled or misguided or mentally not there. So thank you so much, Brian. Glenn, as always, great time with you out at AM Fest, my friend.
Brian Glenn
Oh, I loved it. Thanks, Beau. Appreciate it.
Bo Joe Davidson

Rejoining me now is Neil McCabe of RedState.com Neil, let's get your thoughts on the other side of this clip. Let's take a look. A vibrant immigration, but we don't want immigrants that are coming here illegally draining us of resources and also being prioritized above people that are actual literal heroes that are coming home, that are, that.
Neil McCabe
Are still recovering from 21, 20 years.
Bo Joe Davidson
Of endless war or anybody else in our society. Right.
Brian Glenn
But nobody's, everybody's talking.
Bo Joe Davidson
Neil. This is a pretty scathing indictment of his father's entire presidency. I mean, the whole point of the Biden presidency was bringing as many illegals as you can. What do you, what do you think about this?
Neil McCabe
Yeah, I think that Hunter Biden is basically hitting a hard reboot on, on his own political celebrity. He's like, okay, mistakes are made. There's a new management in place. How do we win back your business? It's, it's funny too, because the suspicion always was that Joe Biden, Biden was personally a very conservative guy from Delaware, which was when he was growing up and when he first was elected to the Senate, an extremely conservative state culturally, even though it was Democratic. But, and so what you had is you had, you know, the idea was that Joe Biden was always pretending to be more liberal than he actually was because that was how he was going to compensate for his own personal conservatism. And I think that's sort of coming out that maybe the fact of the matter is that Hunter was Raised in a very conservative, culturally conservative Catholic family, and he no longer wants to live a lie. It's interesting that he's pointing out, you know, immigration, which was a huge mistake, huge mistake by the Biden administration, completely tone deaf. And we now know that people inside the White House, people inside the administration were banging the pots and pans and trying to tell the president and his sort of cadre around him, that praetorian guard, that, yeah, we have to stop this. This is killing us. And you have Democrats like Mark Kelly in Arizona saying, hey, we're on the border, and this is horrible. You have to change it.
Bo Joe Davidson
Yeah.
Neil McCabe
On the other hand, yeah. The withdrawal from Afghanistan, Bo, that actually as ugly and messy as it was, may have been the highlight of his administration. I've never met an American who said, you know, I wish we were back in Afghanistan. And if Biden had said, hey, it was ugly, it was terrible, but we were there for 20 years and I got us out, I think if he had leaned into that, people would have said, all right, you're right, it was horrible. It was brutal. What happened at Abbey Gate was insane, but we're out and we're moving on. And I think that he should get some credit for that.
Bo Joe Davidson
Well, he did talk about that. We don't have a ton of time left, but let's play that clip really quickly about what he said about Afghanistan.
Brian Glenn
Do you think some of those failures were.
Bo Joe Davidson
I think the failure. One of the failures was the way.
Brian Glenn
In which they executed the withdrawal from Afghanistan.
Bo Joe Davidson
I think it was an obvious.
Brian Glenn
They executed.
Bo Joe Davidson
Thirteen executed the withdrawal. Marines are dead. I think that there was a better way to do it. And I think that. And I can blame it on his generals. I can blame it on the people, the way in which we did it. But my dad always knew this also is that the buck stops with him. So, Neil, to your point, and we got a hard break we've got to go to. But to your point, I think you're right that a lot of Americans are thankful we're out of Afghanistan, but the way in which it was done was so poor that it left this scorch, this just disdain on his presidency that I think will always, will forever live in ignominy. So, Neil, thank you so much. Merry Christmas to you, sir.
Neil McCabe
All right, back to you.
Bo Joe Davidson
Merry Christmas to you all. And we leave you now with the anthem of the free.
