This is an iHeart podcast. Guaranteed Human. Well, good evening, everyone. Welcome to Stitchfield. We've got a monster update in the case of Nancy Guthrie, the mother of Today show host Savet Anna Guthrie and her disappearance and alleged kidnapping. So right now we are getting video into the RAV newsroom of SWAT team vehicles leaving the Pima County Sheriff's Office. Those vehicles headed into the neighborhood around Annie Guthrie's home, which is a few miles from Nancy Guthrie's homes. The mother, Annie, is the sister of Savannah Guthrie. We are also told there are at least a dozen FBI agents in and around the neighborhood of Annie Guthrie's home and seen outside of the home. This after they were conducting numerous searches yesterday and today of that house as well. We get this news after getting what could be the evidence that cracked the case wide open. Our buddy FBI Director Cash Patel, released this video on his Twitter account, and it shows who they believe is the alleged kidnapper of her trying to cover up the nest doorbell camera. Now, what's interesting about this video is that I first thought whoever did this was very good at what they were doing. But you'll watch here. He goes back to the flower bed and tries to pull like branches apart to cover up the ring doorbell. If you had cased the house and you knew there was a ring doorbell, wouldn't you just stick a piece of duct tape over it before you ultimately removed it, which is what they did. Now, he's also got a gun on him, hanging from the front of his waist. And quite frankly, I've been in and around the gun industry for a long time, and I've never seen anyone carry a firearm in that manner. Coming literally directly down from the front of his belly, under his belly button hanging down. They're all very strange. Now from the video we can see he may have brown eyes, facial hair. There is, of course, this specific gate. You could throw the video back up there of anything. You got the specific gate of the suspect as well. And the big question would be, would his mother recognize him? That's a term when you see him there. And I believe we have some pictures now that were that were of this suspect. Would the mother know who that is from clothing, from how he walks, someone close to him? My belief is someone would. And the tip line is probably being flooded as we speak, which may be the very reason why they are very close to making an arrest. Now, this video was obtained through back end channels both Google and Nest were working on almost a week to be able to capture this from video that was cached in the back end areas, not on the direct recording device. This is homicide detective Paul Cielino on. Now, many of the theories that are popping up here. I don't. I don't think she was kidnapped.
B
We would have heard.
A
Listen, there would have been a video. There would have been a photograph.
C
There would have been something.
A
A lock of hair, a drop of blood, something mailed to somebody so they could verify. Yes, in fact, these people have my mother.
C
Kidnappers want to get paid quickly.
A
They don't want this thing to linger. Well, yesterday was the deadline for this $6 million ransom. Right. And we don't believe that it was paid. The reality is we don't even know if the people offering up the ransom notes are real or if they're just a fraud trying to capitalize on a crime. And so as we talk about that, this is Harvey Levin with tmz. They're the ones who continue to get these notes from the potential kidnapper holding Nancy hostage. Potential, I say, because we don't know what's real and what's not. Harvey Levin. And they say it is in the best interest of everyone to have this completed as soon as possible. So, you know, this was way back when the first ransom note was issued. And days passed, and on Saturday, Savannah said, we are going to pay this. So it's baffling to us. We just don't understand what has transpired. But the account we're looking at does not show a deposit. All right, so no deposit and baffling what has transpired? It's not baffling to me that they wouldn't send the money. What you're looking at there is a live picture of Nancy Guthrie's home with investigators outside of it. I can tell you from doing this for a while that something is going down. I can feel the energy changing inside this investigation. And this ransom note may be a fake. As we told you, Nancy may have been killed. This could be someone trying to capitalize off another crime. It could be the killers trying to throw somebody off the track. See Alino again. And it's always a negotiation.
B
Right.
A
The first figure they threw out is never what actually gets paid. Like any good business deal, there's going.
C
To be a negotiation, but it's going.
A
To be a fast and hard one. And there's been no negotiations. No one's called up and said, hey.
C
Where is my money?
A
That hasn't happened.
C
For the simple reason is nobody's kidnapped Reynolds.
A
So he's pretty confident about that. Is she dead someplace? And all of this is a ruse. I want to bring in now to discuss this private investigator of over 30 years and author of the Last Lawman, Nils Gravalis is with us. Nils, great to have you on the program.
B
Well, good evening, Grant. How are you?
A
Well, I'm great. It's great to have you on. What do you make of what's starting to transpire now, Nils?
B
Well, it always the question in my mind from the start was who decided this was a kidnapping? In order to stage a high profile kidnapping of this nature, you need extensive planning, logistics, reconnaissance. In the modern era, you have to have the ability to suppress all of your cell phone data, your license plates against the flock cameras, that sort of thing. And the FBI and Pima county sheriffs would have had a lot to work with from the very start, if, you know, barring that. So this always looked like a homicide investigation to me. And I wondered from the start if Harvey Levin was the one who announced that it was a kidnapping, because he was the first one I ever heard denoted as a kidnapping. What I heard from the pima County Sheriff 36 hours after she went missing was that the home was a crime scene. I never heard the sheriff say that this was a kidnapping.
A
I would be surprised if Harvey Levin made up that somehow they were getting ransom notes. It went not only to tmz, but it also went to one of the local TV stations. And for everything we say about tmz, I'll tell you another one. The Daily Mail is another one gets a bad rap. It's usually spot on about everything. TMZ often nails it on things like this, Nils.
B
I'm saying they didn't get ransom notes, but I think this is opportunistic. Cockroaches like the character arrested in Hawthorne last week, making a ransom demand under the COVID of the Internet using a VOIP line. A man who's already defending fraud charges that the state has brought against him, a former county employee. So I never believed that this was a bona fide kidnapping for the lack of a proof of life video or photo or something like that. I want to caution your viewers that in this modern era, it would be very easy for an artistic extortionist to use AI to create a fake proof of life video or series of videos or photographs, that sort of thing. We have seen none of this. Okay. Yeah. Now it's a special operation worthy of the Green Berets or the KGB to conduct a kidnapping of this scale against a high profile individual. We do have kidnappings very frequently in this country, but we don't hear about them because it's cartel activity where it's one crime, you know, gang victimizing another gang, and it's forbearance or money or heroin or something like that. So what we're looking at here looks like a straight up homicide investigation of me, Grant, and I think Detective Ciolino in New York is right on the money with this.
A
Well, I'll tell you, Nils, the first day we reported on this, uh, with. With great caution, I had offered up the idea that she may already be dead. And that was my initial thought on all this. Now we're still praying that. I hope you're wrong. I'm wrong. I hope Cielo's wrong. I hope we're all wrong, and she comes back home and. And the family, you know, can have a great reunion. But I'm not sure that's going to happen. We're going to keep an eye on this. Nils Gravellas, thank you so much for coming on the program tonight. And it's great to have your insight in this.
B
Thank you for lending me your microphone and camera, Grant. Be safe out there. It's a dangerous world.
D
You're very.
A
You're very kind and that it is. I tell everybody out there, keep your head on a swivel and honestly keep your subscriptions up to date. One of the problems here was that Nancy Guthrie did not have her subscription to her nest home security system up to date. And it wasn't recording a lot of these videos, uh, that cost a lot of time. Time that can save lives in the end. We're going to keep an eye on this to see if any arrests are made as they are in the neighborhood of Annie Guthrie, the sister and daughter's home daughter of Nancy Guthrie's neighborhood. We shall see how this plays out. Um, today, three big cell phone companies were put on notice by the United States Senate. How dare you give away our cell phone data that from senators to AT&T T Mobile and Verizon. Remember, those companies gave this data up of sitting United States senators to Jack Smith and his Trump persecution panel. Here's Lindsey Graham. What about the 430 Republican groups? What about the 197 subpoenas? We're not going to give up on this. This is a major breakdown of constitutional checks and balances. A major breakdown of protecting people. You have a contractual obligation to protect. And I think the biggest weaponization of the law, but that is yet to be determined. You know, the CEOs of these big cell phone companies should have been smart enough to push back against Jack Smith knowing that there were constitutional issues here. They didn't push back. In fact, they rolled over. This is Marsha Blackburn. So what you're basically saying is it took Jack Smith issuing secret subpoenas for the records of duly elected members of Congress as part of a weaponized investigation of President Trump for Verizon to finally realize that it probably could have, and I quote you, better processes. Is that accurate, Chairman Blackburn? We should have had a better process to address this situation. So they admit they had no process to address the situation. Forget about a better process. You didn't have any. And I think these woke cell phone companies were all anti Trump and they were very happy to oblige, not thinking that President Trump would ever be back in office. Well, guess what?
E
Wrong.
A
You know, it's amazing because many of the mainstream media outlets are not covering this story. I searched this up on Fox News, couldn't find it now. Why? Because the COVID up of the Trump witch hunt continues even from mainstream media outlets. Even from Fox News. This is Chuck grassley. Today, Verizon, AT&T mobile will have a chance to explain themselves. To date, my and Senator Johnson's oversight of these companies has identified that Verizon, AT&T and T Mobile received at least 84 Arctic Frost or Jack Smith related subpoenas. At least 10 are related to current 20 current or former Republican members of Congress. So Smith's deceitful conduct was a substantial intrusion into the core constitutional activities of constitutional officers. So Smith should be prosecuted. In my mind, this guy was so devious, so disingenuous, abused his position in an effort to do what? To get Trump. There was another hearing that also got virtually zero coverage from the mainstream media. And notice it's in what we call our A block here on Stitchfield. The most important stories of the day and that is foreign interference of how we run elections, of how we run our country. It turns out that Congress has uncovered lots of evidence that billions of dollars has been funneled through nonprofit organizations, these non governmental organizations to sow chaos and create all kinds of disruptions inside the United States. This is Caitlin Sutherland. She's with Americans for Public Trust.
F
It's unfortunately all too common that foreign billionaires and foreign charities seem to have their thumb on the scale of American politics. Yes, we know that Hans Yorges has funneled hundreds of millions of dollars, as has Christopher Hohn and a smattering of foreign charities together that identifies $2.7 billion of foreign money running through the nonprofit sector.
A
That's a Problem and nobody's looking at it. Why? Because when Biden was in office, the Democrats were firmly happy to have that happening. Now what about China? China had influence. You know, they're flooding America with billions of dollars to, to sow chaos in this country. Listen to this. Theoretically, is it possible for Xi Jinping himself to entirely fund an American 501 3? I'm not done yet. By donating it through a donor advised fund without the public ever seeing his name on that C3's form 990. Absolutely. How is that happening in America today? You think Xi Jinping is well intentioned by spending billions of dollars in America? Absolutely not. So on stories like this, there's one guy who is one of the best experts when it comes to China and their influence here in the United States. And that is epic time. Senior investigative reporter Joshua Phillip. He's been a friend of mine for a while. Joshua, great to have you on the program.
D
Hey, good to see you, man.
A
What, what did you make, Joshua, of this hearing today?
D
My what I made of it was, thank goodness this is finally getting attention because you know, Grant, you know, you and I have talked about this before. I know, we've discussed it. My own research. As an Investigative Reporter since 2008 I've been exposed in these kinds of networks. They were talking of course about Neville Singh, one of the big funders of these radical organizations in the U.S. they raised some concerns around the People's Forum, Code Pink, the Party of Socialism and Liberation. I would actually add to that list one of the nexus organizations tied up with these types of operations, that being of course the Rainbow Coalition. And effectively what they're doing. These are communist socialist organizations tied into global communist movements, getting foreign money, in some cases even some foreign training with some of them. And these organizations are actively doing chaos operations. They're doing what would constitute color revolutions on American streets. And even short of that, you could argue these protests, working with various news outlets, working with different political actors are establishing the narratives for our election. This is obviously a plan to disrupt the American system. At the very least to create the issues that are determining what are the key issues during election seasons.
A
Play another clip for you because this is very troubling. Future farmers of America, I would think that's the heart of what this nation is all about in the nation's heartland and that has been basically infected with Chinese money. Listen to this clip as Jason Smith lays it out.
F
It's an organization that so many members.
A
Care about, it helps create the future agriculture leaders of tomorrow. But when that organization's largest funder is Saginta, which is connected to the ccp, we do not need to allow our kids to be infiltrated by the Chinese propaganda. Joshua, what is, what. What are they doing here with China funding ffa?
D
Yeah, so they mentioned Syngenta, first of all. Syngenta alongside Smithfield Foods were the two main companies Chinese owned that are buying up a lot of American farmland. The CCP's involvement in that, it could. There's a lot of different speculation on it. Some of it ties into possible national security threats of them buying up farmland right next to military bases, key resources, critical infrastructure, bridges, water sources, the whole 9y. This weird Chinese lab they just found out in Las Vegas actually tied in with even the one they found in California, which I personally went on the ground and investigated before. It seems the CCP is very much active in the United States. This poses the potential of biowarfare threats, the potential of endangering our food supply, especially given them buying up farmland like this tied into these whole nexus of organizations. Chinese scientists smuggling in what could be an agricultural bioweapon, which was that fungus that could have destroyed our crops. You look at the whole picture of it, it is pretty dang concerning because it looks like we're being attacked by other means.
A
Let me play one more that adds one more group to the, to the list that we're being attacked by, and that's bots, basically computers. Roll that clip for Josh to what's.
F
Happening with foreign influence. They're using these narratives and it actually, it brings about authentic activity. So just like you'd have in the stock market, if you have a bot army, it looks like a million people, it starts to get regular people engaged. Next thing you know, a stock's being pushed up or a stock's being pushed down. And it's a combination of inauthentic and authentic activity, but it's born out of design, inauthentic activity. And I think that's what you're seeing here.
A
Joshua, what have you found that China is doing and other foreign actors using these, quote, bot armies to subvert America?
D
Yeah, so the Epoch Times actually had an investigative article on that. Exactly. Maybe two months ago, this was when the New York Times is running just back to back hit pieces against Shen Yun Performing Arts, New York based performing arts company. We looked into it and we found that on X, what looked like Chinese Communist Party bots were basically propping up the stories. They were spreading it, they were adding fuel to it. We actually found and reported it to X. X determined. Yes. These were, in fact, fake bots. And why does that matter? It's because in the United States, what determines our elections? What determines the decisions we make? Well, in a constitutional republic like our own, an informed public makes informed decisions. People vote based on the information they're exposed to. People buy products based on the information they're exposed to. People support something, hate something, oppose something, get behind something, go on the street and riot against something, or for something based on the information they're exposed to. So if you control the information, you control civil society, and civil society is what determines the political systems and the way the entire country works. This is a huge battlefield that I think we're finally waking up to. But the CCP openly regards it as warfare. Even in their own military code, they have what's called the three warfare doctrine. This is public. It's psychological warfare, media warfare, and legal warfare for them. This is warfare.
E
Yeah.
A
Amazing stuff. Joshua. Philip, the work you do over at the Epic Times, they do great work as well. We appreciate you coming on. My only advice to you is don't go to China anytime soon. You will be locked up in pretty short order. I have a feeling, my friend.
B
What?
D
One way trip.
A
Yeah, buddy. Thank you for coming on.
E
Thank you.
A
All right, real quick. I'll tell you what Epstein files. Sometimes some doozies come out. It turns out that Donald Trump made a phone call to the Palm beach police Chief back in 2006 that basically said to the police chief, thank goodness you're stopping Epstein. Trump also told the police chief that Ghislaine Maxwell was evil. He told the chief to focus on Maxwell because she was his operative. That from the Epstein documents, that totally upend the idea that Trump was somehow in cahoots with Epstein. In fact, he kicks him out of Mar a Lago and was trying to get law enforcement to do something about it all the time.
F
Caroline Levitt, I'm telling you, is that what President Trump has always said is that he kicked Jeffrey Epstein out of his Mar A Lago club because Jeffrey Epstein was a creep. And that remains true. And this call, if it did happen, corroborates exactly what President Trump has said from the beginning. And I'm sure many of you, when you read that, that alleged FBI report, probably thought to yourself, wow, this really cracks our narrative that we've been trying to push about this president for many years. So we're moving on from that.
A
You would think, Caroline, that that is what they would think. Instead, no, now they're claiming that President Trump somehow didn't do enough. Do you see how deceitful the mainstream media is? And Caroline Levitt in the Yankee pinstripes. We love it as a Yankee fan. All right, Republican lawmakers are now suggesting we need to be more lenient when it comes to dealing with illegal alien and DACA recipients. That is next. Welcome back, everyone. As another partial government shutdown looms with this DHS funding bill up in the air. The battle, of course, is over ICE and immigration and how we handle illegal aliens in this country. There is a big push now from the Democrats and sadly some Republicans to give amnesty to children that were brought here illegally by their parents. Now let me make one thing very clear. I believe firmly that the children are not culpable for the actions of their parents. In fact, I look at the children brought here by their parents as victims of a crime. But that does not mean that they should be rewarded for their parents bad behavior. Because what would that do? That would only incentivize more bad behavior, more kids to come in. This is why amnesty for these kids has to be off the table. But that's not what's being talked about. Amnesty is on the table for these DACA kids, as they call them, deferred action. Some of the ideas being thrown around or they should pass a background check, prove that they were in school or military service, pay fees, submit to biometrics and, and then get legal status, but no pathway to a, to citizenship. Let me just give you an example of how some of these Republicans are thinking. This is Senator Mark Wayne Mullen.
F
Well, zero starter, if we're talking about.
A
Amnesty towards citizenship, Mike made it very clear we're not doing that. I think there would be a conversation that might have towards like DACA individuals that were brought here under the age of 18 by their parents.
F
Maybe if you want to talk to.
A
Someone that's been here in the country for 10 years or longer. So notice he was talking about all illegal aliens. No amnesty. Let me tell you something. If you're an adult illegal, there is no way you have to be deported if you came here illegally. As for the children, maybe legal status, if you've been here a very long time and you have to prove that, and certainly not if you came during the Joe Biden era. Roll it. The American people overwhelmingly support that. But what they do believe, if you've been in this country, right or wrong, for 5, 10, 15, 20 years, your children and your grandchildren are American citizens. People don't want to see families broken apart. And so there's Got to be a legal path forward. Not a path to citizenship, but a legal path forward for people to come out of the shadows so that they can work legally, that they can pay their taxes, pay any back taxes owed, pay a fine, not collect government benefits, and not commit a crime. So that is not what I believe. And that is a Republican. His name is Mike Lawler and he's part of the problem. This is this moderate view of all of this. Um, I want to bring in now RAV correspondent Ben Berkman. And one of the reasons why I wanted to bring Ben on tonight is because he's been in and around the kids, he's been in and around the gang members, he's been in and around the parents. Nobody has a better view of what should really happen than Ben when it comes to immigration. Ben, I want to welcome you to the program. Thanks for coming on tonight.
F
Hey, thank you, Grant. Great to be with you.
A
Ben. I texted you this morning, I said, look, these kids are not culpable for being brought here by their parents. Especially if you're a five year old. I think you're a victim of a crime, but you can't be rewarded for your parents bad behavior. So I'm going to ask you, Ben, and it's a difficult question, what do we do with those kids that are here?
F
Yeah, yeah, it's not a difficult question for me. When you texted me this morning, I was so glad you invited me on to talk about this. Not a single one of them should be allowed to remain here. I have run into, you've seen the coverage I've done from South America, Central America, Europe and all the way through the United States on the invasion of America and now the removal of illegals from America and out of my time. The most arrogant, disrespectful group of people that I have found are the DACA kids. I have not found a single one yet who is appreciative of America. I've not found a single one yet who feels like their parents did something wrong. And it's a blessing that they're here. Every single one that I have encountered is arrogant, believes they deserve it, believes that nobody can take it from them to the point where they're out there in the front of these lines, they chanting, no borders, no walls, no USA at all. Undocumented and unafraid. The single most arrogant people that I've met are the DACA kids. And so very simple to me. Not one of them should be able to stay. Everyone who's here illegally should be Expected to be deported. And unless we set that mindset, you're gonna have people like Mike Lawlor who continue this bs, continue the amnesty. And look, you can't say you're gonna stay here legally. And it's not amnesty, it's amnesty. And all you do is send the signal that I'm going to stay. My parents are going to follow behind me, and we're going to continue this cycle. It has to stop.
A
All right, I'm going to just play devil's advocate with you. I tend to side with you on this, but I've also seen you with the young kids. I've seen you in the Darien Gap with young kids that are coming to America, giving them water, caring for them, rescuing them. At times.
F
Yes, yes.
A
So at some point you say, okay, you're a two year old now you're 15, you've been here all your life, we send you back to Nicaragua. I guess so. But boy, oh, boy, that's rough stuff.
F
Yeah, it breaks my heart. Look, when I was in the Darien Gap and I saw these kids, the worst case, I saw dead bodies. And undoubtedly the number of dead kids, it's hard to even quantify. It's tragic, it's heartbreaking. But the thing you don't do is reward bad behavior. And again, if you came when you were two and you're here and you're 15, 16, what I want to see is one of these kids say, God bless America. I'm so thankful to be here. My parents screwed up. I'll go back if you want me to, but if you'd let me stay, I'd be a great American. I have not seen a single one do that. Instead, unfortunately, they're put into the indoctrination system. By the time that they're teenagers, they believe that they have a right to be here. They hate this country, they spout the la Raza garbage. Again, this is personal experience. I haven't seen a single one. Now, that's two totally different things from children being brought here by their parents. It breaks my heart. I think, all of this, even the DACA kids, they only have their parents to blame. You're absolutely right on that. But we don't reward that. We can't reward that. Because all you're doing is saying, hey, you do that again. Look, we'll do it again at some point. It's just like Reagan. Reagan's one of Reagan's worst policies and he was a great president. But any sort of leeway you give on open borders, you're gonna invite more illegals to come and we're gonna be stuck in the cycle. And the reality is, Grant, this isn't about fixing the problem. This is a strawman argument by the Democrats simply to get more illegal immigration. It's us compromising in their direction, always us going their direction, when instead we should be saying, nope, no more. The problem is we gave up that leverage when we passed everything else under the spending bill except for dhs. And so now we're in this position where you've got these rhino Republicans like Lawler who are bending over backwards to cave to the Democrats.
A
Let me play one more clip for you just to really put you in a bad mood before you leave and go back to your family tonight. This is, this is GOP Representative Maria Salazar. Listen to this, but don't touch the nannies or the gardeners or the ones who are picking up the jalapeno peppers or the oranges or the berries or the ones in the dairy houses. Come on. Those people are helping us eat better. Cheaper homes, cheaper vegetables and better fruits. So those are the ones that we.
F
Are trying to give a dignified status.
A
Ben, I'll give you the last word here. I have no doubt that there are many well intentioned illegal aliens. That doesn't mean they didn't break the law. It doesn't mean that they shouldn't go. And I think that's where I am. You've got to deport all of them. So, so we have closed borders and nobody else is incentivized to come here again. Your thoughts? 15, 20 seconds, if you can.
F
Yeah. The soft bigotry of low expectations, that's racism 2.0 in 2026. No. Every single one of them got to go. We prioritize the worst first, but at some point we get rid of them because they're taking our health care, they're taking our education, they're lowering the cost of wages for American citizens. They all got to go.
A
Yeah, they, they play a very negative effect on the American economy. And don't believe the Democrats when they tell you somehow they're integral to all of this. Ben Berkwam, as always, it's a great conversation. I appreciate you coming on, buddy. Thank you.
F
Thank you, Grant.
A
Absolutely. All right, folks. Pete Hegseth and the Trump administration are working hard to hold defense contractors accountable. Now, waste, fraud and abuse under the microscope of Pete Hegseth. That is next. Welcome back, everyone. I'll tell you what a tribute to real America's voice and all of you is the Access we get with this administration. Our own David Zier spent the day with Secretary of War Pete Hegseth, who's visiting defense contractors. David Zier joins us now. Rav, a correspondent, host of Breaking Point here on Real America's Voice. David, welcome to the program.
C
Hey, how are you? Grant? Good evening. Incredible day yesterday.
A
So, yeah, I thought you were going to throw. Throw. Yes, go ahead, David.
C
We're going to throw to that gaggle I did with Pete Hegseth on the ground at Andrews Air Force Base upon returning from Maine and Rhode Island, General Dynamics contractors. It was just unbelievable. Check it out.
F
Spirit. The president calls it spirit. And that's what it is.
A
You can feel it throughout the country. You feel it in our military.
F
You see it in the recruiting numbers. You see it in the retention number numbers.
A
It's not just who's coming in.
F
It's the guys that are in that are staying in at historic rates and at high rates. Then you see it in the workforce. And that's why I'm glad you guys can come along and see this, this.
A
Arsenal of freedom tour and why our remarks are all public.
F
It's because we're saying the same things.
A
Out in public that we are behind closed doors.
F
We're all in this together. We got to move fast.
A
We've got to get the capabilities to the war fighters.
F
And when everybody sees that spirit, everybody.
A
Works a little harder, moves a little faster.
F
So, yeah, we draw off that energy from the usa.
A
Usa.
C
Unbelievable energy in the room here. They're going to be putting out their 66% done with the first Columbia class submarine to replace the entire fleet of the Ohio class submarines.
F
Companies are building new plants, not just, you know, an additional shift, but it's a new plant next to a new.
A
Plant next to a new plant. And coming companies are making their own.
F
Investments to do it. That's how you ramp up our magazine depth, as we call it, the amount of munitions that we actually have.
A
So I think we're, we're just on.
F
The front end because the president is, has brought investment back, American manufacturing back, and we're bringing the defense industrial base back.
A
All right, David, it, it's amazing to me to go in, he wants to bring this, this defense contracting back to the United States. Is most of it offshore?
C
Most of it isn't offshore. We do get a lot of parts from abroad, especially, you know, even in our car industry here. Right. But their focus is laser focus on delivering defense system from us contractors and at speed and scale. And this is part of Trump's Defense Acquisition executive order that was codified in the ndaa. It's really important stuff. And Pete Hegseth said in the gaggle that he's not afraid to fire defense contractors if they don't deliver this stuff on time, because, you know, the design and the bureaucracy in the Pentagon over the years has just been massive. And he also promised to cut through the red tape in the Pentagon here. It's pretty spectacular. And he also talked about, you know, the lobbyists get comfortable and they get these long contracts and they're not delivering stuff on time. But they have this new bond program. The bond program. It'll encourage private partners from private industries to produce stuff for the defense industry. And we were at the Bath Ironworks, and that place is amazing. They're making the third generation Arleigh Burke Aegis class guided missile cruisers. They just launched the. The USS Barnum, and now they're going to launch next year the Lewis Wilson. Pretty incredible. And these new submarines, the Columbia class, all those guys cheering, you want them on your site. They are salt of the earth. These new submarines are 20 tons, even larger than the Ohio class. They're going to replace 30 nuclear reactors, which is unbelievable. And then we visited Underil Underwater Solutions, these autonomous underwater vehicles that can deliver torpedoes and do surveillance across the globe. Underseas the largest facility in the world for autonomous vehicles. What. What Hegseth is doing is really incredible. And I just want to add, the purpose of this Arsenal of Freedom tour is to convey to the workers at these plants, like, saw that incredible response. It was the same at the Bath Iron Works. They had a strike in 2020. They had Covid. They weren't staffing. Now they're building. They're getting stuff out. And this is a message to them. The arsenal of freedom to our nationwide. He's been to California, to Texas, to Merritt Island. It's been all over to give these guys motivation.
A
David, let me show you some video. This is protesters outside of the Bath Ironworks here. So I'll play a sound bite from one of them.
E
Roll, roll.
A
Cut to. Guys, I'm here today to talk and yell and shout and scream that we.
C
Do not have a democracy right now.
A
I am terrified about the direction this country is going in. The administration's breaking all the laws. Hegset. I don't even need to really hear any more of them. So they don't even know what they're protesting. They're just against the administration? Is that it, David?
C
Well, shame on them, because I saw them in Rhode island, too. And the economy's 33,000 employees, they're going to have soon. General Dynamics in Rhode island and Connecticut. Bath is only a town of 9,000 people. People commute 40 minutes each way to go there every day on that 65 acre site. They produce over 5,000 vessels in the last 200 years out of Bath. General Dynamics is providing jobs and livelihoods for those people defending America facing real time emerging threats that are here. They are here and now. And we have to get this stuff out quick, on time, and at quality. So. And at scale.
A
So it's our national defense that absolutely, absolutely depends on it. David Zier, as always, great work. Thank you for coming on and sharing it with us.
C
Thank you so much.
A
Absolutely. Get the waste front of his. You know, defense industry is ripe with waste, fraud, and abuse. Pete Hegseth is going to get that under control. We bring all this manufacturing back here. Excuse me. We're on a. We're on a road to success, baby. That's. That's a fact. Hey, I have some great news for you, by the way. Remember this Mike Tyson commercial I told you about I was so mad about? I thought that the federal government paid for it, people. Something has to be done by processed food in this country. Well, guess what? Health and Human Services reached out to me and said, grant, don't worry. We had donors pay for that commercial. So bravo on that. No taxpayer money going to. Going to fund. A very good message, by the way, but it was all donor money, so we're happy about that. All right, gold is again above $5,000. What this means next. All right, folks, real quick, a little breaking news on the Nancy Gus. Nancy Guthrie case. Fox News is reporting, reporting that there has been bitcoin activity in the cryptocurrency account for Nancy Guthrie. This, as I said, FBI agents are swarming into the neighborhood of Annie Guthrie and SWAT teams rolling into the neighborhood of Annie Guthrie. That, of course, is Savannah Guthrie's sister, the daughter of Nancy Guthrie. We'll see how all of this plays out. But I wanted to bring you that latest news. Now to gold. You know, I find it interesting because I was preparing for this segment, and I put gold price in Google and you know how it gives you. Gives you searches. The number one search is, why is gold falling now? And I'm looking at the chart and I'm looking and saying gold isn't falling now, but because it had one dip, goes up to 5,300, comes back down to 4,600 something. It's now up above $5,000. Again, that's not gold falling. I want to bring in now precious metal specialist for Birch Gold Group, Philip Patrick is with us. Philip, welcome to the program.
E
Thank you for having me.
A
Grant, do you find that interesting? That that's, that's the search term and this isn't the search term. This is Google giving me this. What are people asking? Why is gold falling? Now?
E
It's not huge surprise. People get carried away with the upside, they get carried away with the downside. But I want remind people gold is up almost 70% last year. Silver ended the year last year at 150% up. Beginning of this year we saw them surging again. Gold at one point up almost 20%. Silver was up 50% three weeks into the year. And then we saw a retracement back for us at Birch. That's welcome. Anything that goes up in a straight line, you start to get bubble concerns. What we saw came predominantly from the paper market, specifically with silver. A lot of leverage had built up and I think there was profit taking and margin calls. But nothing has changed in terms of the fundamentals. And if you rightly point out after that retracement we're moving back.
A
It completely leveled out and then started, started back up on the move. This is how markets work. There's no such thing as a market for four years. Go straight up without a little bit of a correction. Correct?
E
Absolutely correct. And like I said, it's welcome. At some point you need a retracement. It creates opportunities and like I said, it reduces those concerns of bubbles. The fundamentals driving gold and silver are stronger today than they were 12 months ago. And I believe they're going to be stronger in 12 months from now.
A
So as many people watch this show, no, I fool around, I day trade a little bit on certain things and I mostly use technical analysis, I use, I look at charts and where there's support and resistance, all these things. But for gold long term, the fundamentals are really what's important. The chart looks beautiful for gold long term too but, but the fundamentals are all there as to why gold would continue to rise, right Philip?
E
It's absolutely correct. We're seeing a global financial system that is changing right in front of our eyes. And gold becomes a very important part of that as a monetary metal. But what's important is the buyers right now are central banks and they are price insensitive. Central banks are moving in a direction, it seems to be away from the US dollar in this climate. And gold becomes very, very important for Them Poland just bought 150 tons of gold. And in that purchase, in sort of the script, they came out and said, listen, price is not important to us. This is about long term protection and stability. So the buyers for both gold and silver, their central gold governments at the moment, they don't care. Silver is going to be very important to secure the future of defense. We need it from everything from home electronics to ballistic missiles, that demand isn't going anywhere.
A
You know, I, I believe we're going to see both the stock market and gold go up together. And I believe part of that is because of a sea of liquidity that is out there right now. I mean, there's a lot of cash out there and cash is losing value. People are going to have to put that someplace. And I think they will certainly look at gold. They may put the stock market too. But both of these assets look to me like they'd be prepped.
E
Yeah, I agree vehemently. There is a ton of liquidity looking for a home. And as you rightly point out, the traditional sort of safe haven, sit in cash and ride it out, doesn't work in a climate where inflation smoldering, where the dollar's losing value. So people need action. And I think precious metals will pick up a lot of the safe haven demand. I think markets could move. I think bitcoin could, could see a pickup. Obviously we've seen a big hit. So broadly speaking, there's liquidity looking for a home. But I think gold and silver will pick up a lot of that because I think people are trying to balance growth with preservation and they do that uniquely.
A
And this is not just from Philip Patrick with Birch Gold, but I've talked to a lot of investment advisors who have a lot of money in stocks. I said when you park cash. That's exactly what you said. But right now they are telling all their clients if they're going to park money that they don't want in the stock market, park it in gold. That is the best place to park your money right now and watch it grow at a rate that's going higher than even the stock market is. So this is why I urge people to call you, Philip. Let me, let me get people the, the info of how they can get in touch with you. And as always, thank you for coming on. Here's what you do and you know it already. Text America to the number 989-898.
