Ahead on American Sunrise, the Trump effect in Texas. President Trump throws the support behind Attorney General Ken Paxton. And next week's runoff. Can Paxton take down incumbent Senator John Cornyn? The latest ahead. Plus Wowzer, a major MAGA shakeup in Kentucky. Congressman Tom Massey loses to Trump backed challenger Ed Gallerie. Now Massie supporters are asking, hmm, what's next for him? And later, cracking down on fraud. The House Ways and Means Committee marking up new bills aimed at stopping the abuse of taxpayer dollars. How far will they go? Chairman Jason Smith joining us live. In mere moments, those stories and more American Sunrise starting right now. Good morning, America.
Emily Finn
Welcome to American sunrise.

I'm David Brody.
Terrence Bates
I'm terrence.
Alison Hans
And I'm Dr. Gina. Good morning, everyone. I'm Allison hans in for Dr. Gina live from West Palm Beach. Let's bring in David brody in Washington, D.C. and of course, Terrence Bates in our Denver newsroom. Good morning, guys. What a night.
David Brody
What a night.
Terrence Bates
Oh, my goodness. What a night. David, I'll just start with you were right, I was wrong.
David Brody
Oh, well, that's all right.
Terrence Bates
You said Thomas Massie was gonna lose. I thought there was a chance. No chance whatsoever. He got blown out of the water. My goodness. It wasn't even close. Wasn't even close. But the other big story that I'm watching, guys, President Trump's true social post endorsing Ken Paxton. This was the longest true social post I think I've ever read. I just finished reading it about 10 minutes ago and I started yesterday. Goodness gracious. Did you guys see how long the Post was There it is. This is just part of it, folks. I mean, it was a mini dissertation here. He basically called Ken Paxton a MAGA warrior, also described John Cornyn as a good man, but also said that he didn't support President Trump when times were tough. And so that is why he went ahead and endorsed Ken Paxton. Said that Ken Paxton just had been someone who had always been on the President's side. And then, of course, there was the Tom Massey news. He, of course, lost his primary to Ed. That's how the name is properly pronounced. My apologies, I've been pronouncing it wrong, but Ed Gow Rhine, now that you are going toward to the general election, I'm going to pronounce it right from here on out. So what a busy day, guys. I'm going to get back to reading the footnotes there of President Trump's dissertation on Ken Paxton, though. That was the longest post ever known to man.
Alison Hans
It was a long post and it was an awesome post. I mean, I was just so excited when I heard him support Paxton. And Paxton was so cool about how he interacted with the President. I think he called him in the morning and was like, hey, I think you're going to like what I'm going to do. And he didn't know what he was going to do. And then he put out the post a few hours later. And I just thought it was such a shot to the arm for the MAGA faithful and really just so exciting. And I really felt that not only is it going to be a very exciting race next week, but I feel like the President was really listening to his base and that made me feel really good.
David Brody
Such a great point. A shot in the arm. I mean, this is the obvious play. I mean, President Trump, of course, should support Ken Paxton based on the fact that their records align and that, you know, it's MAGA and maga, and Cornyn was never maga. And so this makes perfect sense in terms of the post. It does go down, I believe, as the longest run on sentence in political history. I got confused with the parentheses and the dot, dot, dots and the commas. I was like, I give up at about 40% in, by the way, as for Massie, look, this was also. We kind of knew this was coming. T. Bates, I hear you on it. You think Massie, just on paper, with the district that he's in, would win handily. And if you look at 20, 24, two years ago, he won that Republican primary, not the general election, the primary with 75% of the vote right this time around. Two years later, he was at 45%, a 30 point drop. The Trump effect, I believe it was a 1950s song that says, it's Trump's party and you can cry if you want to. And Massie is crying this morning. There's no doubt about it, guys.
Alison Hans
Yeah. I mean, do not underestimate Donald Trump. And especially in these primaries where you have really active voters coming out to cast ballots, they're going to listen to Donald Trump.
Terrence Bates
President Trump absolutely has the Midas touch when it comes to primarying people that he doesn't necessarily agree with. We'll be talking more about that throughout the day, but would you please give us our Bible verse, Allison?
Alison Hans
Absolutely. Let's check out today's Bible verse. It's John 8:12. It says, Then Jesus spoke to them again, saying, I am the light of the world. He who follows me shall not walk in darkness, but have the light of life. Well, President Trump says negotiations with Iran are continuing and slam Democrats for trying to stop the efforts. Let's take a look.
Van Hip
You know, we're negotiating with Iran, and then you have the Democrats, I call them the Democrats, putting in a bill that Trump should immediately stop. You know how it is to negotiate with a country where you're beating them badly. They come to the table, they're begging to make a deal. Because they're begging to make a deal. I hope we don't have to do the work, but we may have to give them another big hit. We may have to give him another big hit. I'm not sure yet. You'll know very soon. But how do you feel when you're negotiating? You're winning every point. And they say, but in Washington, they want to stop you from negotiating. They want to stop you. And it's only political. It's the Democrats. They're dumb. It's a new name. It's a very accurate name. So I'm in the middle of a negotiation. I'm saying, you cannot have a nuclear weapon. And it comes over the wire that the Democrats want to stop Trump from further negotiations.
Alison Hans
And let's now bring in the chairman of the House Ways and Means Committee, Missouri Congressman Jason Smith. Mr. Chairman, the Democrats. Great name. I think it's going to stick. Your thoughts on the matter?
Jason Smith
You know, I just, let me just say the Democrats never cease to surprise me with, with the actions that they, they bring forward and what they try to do. They try to go after President Trump every second of the day. I actually believe that they hate President Trump more than they love America.
David Brody
Well, I think it's a, not just a provocative statement. I think it's a true statement for sure. Chairman, let me move on to some items that you are heavily involved in as it relates to fraud. Let's put up a Fox News headline that says this. It says, Dr. O says 800 hospice providers suspended in California over alleged $1 billion Medicare fraud scheme. There's claims of foreign linked criminal networks siphoning money. Your thoughts on that? Because this is a major task ahead of you and your committee.
Jason Smith
You know, just a couple weeks ago we had a hearing on Medicaid fraud and it was so disturbing what we, what we discovered. In fact, we had a young lady that testified before our committee from Los Angeles who was a victim of hospice fraud. In fact, she was illegally enrolled into hospice. She went in for physical therapy, was denied physical therapy because they're like, well, you're in hospice, we can't give you physical therapy. And someone illegally enrolled her. We discovered, we discovered in LA county that there was a burrito stand that was a hospice center. There was a tire shop that was a hospice center. So so much fraud that's been going on just in hospice alone in California.
Terrence Bates
Mr. Chairman, you brought up the fraud. So let's jump right in and talk about the dollars and cents that's going out the door as a result of this fraud. Your committee actually set to mark up some bills combating that fraud. What more can you tell us about that? And is your expectation that Democrats are going to push back against this common, not CNT as, but SCNSE measure?
Jason Smith
You know, it's yet to be determined if the Democrats will join with us in trying to root out waste, fraud and abuse. I hope that they are. We're going to be bringing forward these bills tomorrow to pass. But it's just common sense approaches looking at all the unemployment fraud, addressing that, extending the statute of limitations, whether it's looking at the fraud in Medicare. $60 billion of fraud of Medicare is expected or projected every year. That's roughly about $1,000 per Medicare recipient. Imagine if every one of those Medicare recipients had a reduction in their cost, $1,000 a year. I think that would be pretty helpful.
Alison Hans
Congressman, I know that you were with the vice president, president the other day when he was making his speech regarding the fraud task force. What was that like and what message did you take away?
Jason Smith
You know, it's great to have the vice president in, in my home state, in Kansas City, Missouri, it was at a manufacturing facility and it was great for him to Talk about not only the Medicaid fraud, but he also hit on the tax cuts and the deregulation that President Trump has done to help grow, grow the manufacturing sector in the United States. But he is the best leader that we could have in charge of fraud. Fraud in all aspects. The American people, they don't want their tax dollars to be wasted. They don't want fraud, they don't want abuse. And JD's on top of, of it.
David Brody
By the way, Chairman, speaking of tax cuts, what's your sense of when you think those tax cuts will start to see some traction in the economy? We've obviously seen some of that since the April 15 deadline. But you wonder in terms of the midterms coming up, whether or not people are going to see a real difference soon.
Jason Smith
You know, we've got to bring these gas prices down. The gas prices right now is what that's affecting the economy. It's infecting inflation. The 43 day government shutdown last October, the longest shutdown in US history at that time, affected the economy in great detail. If we would just allow the economy to work when, when you see these tax cuts we pass, it would have huge, a huge impact. I'm reminded of a waitress that, that came up to me in my congressional district just a couple of months ago. She said, chairman, I want to thank you. I want to thank you. I got my tax refund back and it was over $10,000. This is a single mom of three kids who's a waitress who works overtime. She's like, because of that tax refund, I will be able to pay for my rent an entire year, plus some groceries. That makes a real difference in the lives of Americans.
Alison Hans
That is huge.
David Brody
Huge.
Alison Hans
Wow. Chairman Jason Smith, thank you so much for your time this morning. We appreciate you.
Terrence Bates
Thanks so much.

The Trump Midas touch continues to be golden when it comes to the President's endorsed candidates unseating and unseating incumbents. Excuse me. Former Navy SEAL Ed Gow Rhine is headed to November's general election in order to represent Kentucky in Congress, Gow Ryan unseated incumbent Thomas Massie, who has been a consistent thorn in President Trump's side, leading 47 to target him for Tuesday's primary.
Van Hip
The winner of the race tonight is not so much Ed Gowron. I'll come back to that.
Martha Stewart
But it's the Republicans of Kentucky Congressional
Dustin Grage
District 4 and their families who I
David Brody
will be a champion for in Washington.
Van Hip
Now my focus is on advancing the
David Brody
president's and the party's agenda to put
Dustin Grage
America first in Kentucky.
Emily Finn
Always.
Terrence Bates
Gal. Ryan's primary challenge of Thomas Massie was the most expensive U.S. house primary in history, with more than $35 million spent between the two candidates. And speaking of President Trump's endorsement, Ken Paxton is his pick to be the next U.S. senator from Texas. Paxton faces incumbent Senator John Cornyn or Fox faced incumbent Senator John Cornyn in next week's primary runoff for Will. The president made the announcement on Truth Social, writing in part that the Texas Attorney General is a, quote, america first patriot and someone who has always been extremely loyal to me and our amazing MAGA movement. 47 goes on to say, I know Kenwell have seen him tested at the highest and most difficult levels and he is a winner. Ken is a strong supporter of terminating the filibuster and very importantly, the Save America Act.
Public Investing Announcer
John Cornyn fought Donald Trump's election in 2016, said he was an albatross around our neck. And in 2024 he said his day has passed. Now, he didn't realize he was talking about himself, not Donald Trump, But he spent $100 million and now probably another 30, 40 to say terrible things about me that are not true. And then to convince you, they think they can convince you that he's something that he's not. The real John Cornyn is coming back after the election.
Terrence Bates
Texas Senate primary runoff is set for next Tuesday. In his endorsement post for Paxton, President Trump also mentioned Senator Cornyn, writing, john Cornyn is a good man and I worked well with him, but he was not supportive of me when times were tough. Back at the White House, the guest appearances in the press briefing room continue, with Vice President J.D. vance standing in for Caroline Levitt, who is on maternity leave. Tuesday, the vice President gave his view on the war in Iran as the Trump administration pushed back a planned attack in hopes of reaching a peaceful resolution. Meantime, US Forces in the region are said to be locked and loaded awaiting the order to strike if Iran continues to waffle.
Public Investing Announcer
What I think. What I think is that the Iranians want to make a deal. What I think is that the Iranians recognize that a nuclear weapon is the red line for the United States of America, that they've internalized that. But we're not going to know until we're actually putting pen to paper on signing a deal. We've had a lot of drafts, a lot of, you know, a lot of pieces of paper going back and forth. But I will not say with confidence that we're going to reach a deal until we're actually signing a negotiated settlement here. And I think that it's ultimately up to the Iranians whether they are willing to meet us because I think we're certainly doing a good job and we're certainly negotiating in good faith.
Terrence Bates
Meantime, the US House is expected to vote on a war powers resolution today that's meant to compel the president to withdraw from the conflict. A similar vote barely failed last week after it ended in a tie. And on Tuesday, The Senate voted 50 to 47 to limit the president's war powers, with recently Trump primaried Senator Bill Cassidy of Louisiana voting with Democrats to move that measure forward. That's a quick check of your headlines. Now let's get a quick check of your forecast. Weather Nation meteorologist Tracey Anthony, good morning to you.
Tracey Anthony
Hey, good morning. You know, Terrence, we've been talking about the temperature swings all week out east. It has been extremely hot. As David Bro, he was just mentioning, we're talking temperatures close to triple digits. So this is the earliest some of these cities have reached even 90 degrees. And we're also talking about the first heat advisories of the season so far. So a handful of records fell throughout the day yesterday, yesterday. And heat advisories still remain in place for Philly, the Big Apple all the way up towards Boston. So one more hot day across the Northeast, things are going to take a tumble quickly. Look at D.C. going from 96 degrees today down to 67 by tomorrow. We're talking a 30 degree temperature swing in 24 hours. So this cold front is really packing a punch with that cooler air it's bringing in behind it now across the country. It's, yes, a little bit cooler to the north. This is a cool high pressure center that's bringing in those below average temperatures. But we are still talking about some snow for the higher elevations out west with that cold front that's working across the northern Rockies. So a little bit of snow, a little bit of summer like heat. And then we're also talking about flooding concerns across Texas the next couple of days.
Terrence Bates
Terrence Tracy, you're trying to trigger me. You're talking snow in May. You're trying to trigger me. I don't appreciate that.
Alison Hans
Deep breaths. Just keep breathing.
Terrence Bates
Yeah, exactly. Deep breaths. Keep breathing. All right, Tracy, we'll check in with you next hour. We'll talk to you later on. Actually, appreciate you being here. Thanks, Tracy.
Tracey Anthony
Yep. We'll talk soon.
Terrence Bates
All right, up next, the deadly San Diego mosque shooting is now being investigated. Investigated as a hate crime. So what do we know about all of that? And what else is there to know? We'll talk about where the case stands next.

Under the sea. I will not sing that song you this morning. I don't want to torture any of you. That's Baltimore, Maryland. I've been there. The Baltimore Aquarium. It is phenomenal. It really is. It's great. Welcome back everybody to American Sunrise. All right, so a viral video shows a so called teen takeover erupting into chaos Inside a Washington D.C. chipotle. Look at this. All I wanted was a freaking burrito. We got teens throwing punches, chairs, even a high chair during a massive brawl. Federal prosecutors are pledging a crackdown with the U.S. attorney, Jeanine Pirro. Excuse me. Warning, parents could also face charges. My goodness. Let's now bring in retired NYPD detective and the co host of the Gold Shields podcast. That'd be Tom Smith. Tom, good to have you here. So, I mean that's a wild scene. My goodness. Talk now by the way, from federal authorities that parents could face charges regardless of whether their child is prosecuted. I mean, heroes talking about punishments could include like fines and court ordered classes, maybe even jail time of up to six months for contributing to the delinquency of a minor. I'm curious to get your thoughts about this. I know you just wanted a burrito. I understand.
Tom Smith
Well, you know what? It's to a point where you have to try something. It's just so out of control down there that the next step and the next logical step is holding other people accountable. And if that starts in the family of keeping your kids under control, then so be it. There has to be a message sent out there that this behavior and this criminal activity is not going to be tolerated. And Jeanine's doing everything she can. And the next step, someone's got to be held accountable. And if these teens are teens, you know, when they're, they're 12, 13, 14, 15 years old, they are still under the control of their parents, and their parents have to be held accountable for their actions.
David Brody
And by the way, T. Bates, before you get going on that next question, I just want to put a point, a final point on this. I've been to that Chipotle. It's actually in Navy Yard, which is a pretty upscale area of D.C. so this is not like, you know, this is where a lot of tourists go and a lot of upscale residents go, just an FYI. Okay.
Alison Hans
But before you go, Terrence, Tom, I really, I'm fascinated by this story because these teen takeovers are happening across the country. And I'm wondering, I don't want to, you know, go off on a limb here, but. But it seems a little suspect and a little organized. Do you, are you getting any of that feeling? And the fact that Jeanine Pirro has now come out so strongly at this point? I don't know. I'd like to get your thoughts on that.
Tom Smith
Well, look at the video we're watching now. They're all dressed the same. That's not a coincidence. And it looks staged and not really they're hitting each other. But a lot of these takeovers are absolutely coordinated through social media. And that's the other problem with social media, with getting these teens into a location where they just take things over. And it's impacting everything. It's impacting the citizens of that neighborhood, and it's also impacting tourism. Listen, Washington, D.C. new York, Louisiana, they rely on tourism. So if these groups are continuing to do this and cause havoc, those numbers are going to drop and then the city might wake up because they're going to start losing money.
Alison Hans
Yeah. And these kids can basically be arrested or taken into custody and then let out right away. So I don't like that either.
Tom Smith
No. And that's the biggest problem with the DA's that are in, you know, certain counties, especially here in New York with Alvin Bragg. You know, if these people get locked up, they're going to be out in an hour.
David Brody
Yeah.
Tom Smith
So what's the point? And then you, you know, you have law enforcement Police officers out there risking their safety to do their job. But the other part of the criminal justice system isn't doing theirs. And that's evident.
Terrence Bates
Yeah, and parents apparently not doing theirs either. Brings to mind. Excuse me. Excuse me. Brings to mind the Bible verse, spare the rod, spoil the child. I'm sorry, but somebody might need some, a little bit of straightening at home. All right, let's get to this other headline. This comes from Yahoo News. It reads, san diego mosque shooting, five dead, including two suspects in attack being investigated as a hate crime. Police say the FBI and local law enforcement are looking for a motive in this particular case. Again, another kind of. Another example of young kids just doing really outrageous, outrageous, kind of crazy things that when we were growing up would have been unfathomable still. I think probably unfathomable.
Tom Smith
Yeah, it is. And it just shows again, a lot of the times we come on and we're talking about one particular group that's being targeted. But hate is hate. And people are out there just hating everyone and they're finding locations and spots on the Internet to get radicalized. And this is scary because it's not stopping. You know, way back I just said it last night that, you know, when I was in the Joint Terrorism Task force back after 9, 11, to be radicalized, you had to travel, you had to go to a training camp, you had to have meetings with people in order to get radicalized into their ideology. And today it's done at a click of a button on a computer. And law enforcement is having a very tough time doing this. And it is difficult to track down these organizations and these groups that are online radicalizing a 15 and a 17 year old to go out and do something like this. It's really scary and horrible.
David Brody
Such a great point. And hate is hate. 100% agree. It should all be condemned no matter what. Tom Smith, great to have you with us this morning. Thank you.
Terrence Bates
Thanks, Tom.
Tom Smith
Always a pleasure. Thank you.
David Brody
All right, coming up, Maha gets a boost. President Trump accepted expanding Trump Rx. He's adding more than 600 generic drugs to help drive down costs. So what is on the list? We've got it. Next on American Sunrise.

All right, let's bring in Town Hall.com columnist Dustin Grage. Dustin, so it looks more likely than not that we will see some sort of third party America first candidate, be it Thomas, Ma, be it Marjorie Taylor Greene, whomever might come out of there. Like to get your perspective on that and then the impact that might have on a MAGA candidate.
Dustin Grage
Yeah. So I mean, Thomas is a good friend. I appreciate all he's done for Liberty over the last decade. But, but it's not a helpful candidacy in my opinion. It's definitely going to drag us down a little bit. I mean, when we were looking at the last election, what was a great benefit to Donald Trump, whereas we headed into November, it's after Thomas's wife passed, Trump gives him a call, gives him condolences. The next day, Thomas says, hey, I'm going to endorse you. We're going to go to New Hampshire. We're going to go all these states that have libertarian leaning voters and we're going to pull a percentage point or two towards you. And that helped us sweep all of these swing states. So ultimately it's not helpful. I wish we could have avoided this primary completely. But Thomas, unfortunately, he did get in his own way. He crossed, he burned a couple too many bridges and ultimately got himself into this position. I, I hope we can mend some of these things that have occurred over the last year as we go into 2028 because at the end of the day, guys, this is still the JD Vance, the Marco Rubio, the, the Ron DeSantis train. It's going to be one of those three that ends up being the nominee going to 2020. Thomas isn't going to have any real effect on the actual general election for Republicans. It's only going to get in the way and actually hurt the coalition. And hopefully we can work behind the scenes a little bit and mend a little bit of what has happened with the Libertarian faction of the Republican Party because it's not helpful. And at the end of the day we don't want to elect communists. And this is how we're going to be able to avoid that is by mending some of those fences as we head into 2028.
Alison Hans
I think that's a good way to look at it. We don't want a Communist. You mentioned three names for 2028, so I'd like your perspective on who do you think that's going to be and why?
Dustin Grage
Well, the favorite obviously right now is J.D. vance. Granted, anything can change. We've seen a pretty good push now for Marco. I know he's seen like a good 1520 bump in the last like basically month. He's been doing great job in the administration. But in reality I think it's more likely JD Is the candidate and Marco ends up backing him. So then you got a two person race between J.D. vance and Ron DeSantis and maybe Ron DeSantis has more of that Marco support that would have been there if Marco had run. So then you're gonna probably have a two man race in my opinion. But at the end of the day, we don't know what it's going to look like. It could just end up being J.D. vance because we see the mega coalition and how it has been so effective. You see the John Cornyn and and all these other guys that are just getting wiped out if they have any slight bit of challenge, whether it's the SAVE act or so on so forth and pushing against the administration and the agenda. You don't want to push against the agenda because this is what the American people voted for. So we have to support the agenda. Is the agenda translate to it's JD Vance or nothing? I don't know. We'll have to kind of see how this develops over the next couple of years. But at the end of the day it is definitely. J.D. vance is in the driver's seat right now, no question about it. And we'll kind of see how the next two years develop.
Alison Hans
Well, you're in Minnesota, it's the hub of fraud. We're talking about J.D. vance and the anti fraud task force. So what do you see happening? Are we going to see any accountability anytime soon?
Dustin Grage
Yeah, no, we absolutely will. And J.D. vance coming back to him, he started this task force to go after fraud. President Trump put him in charge of it. We recently had 22 raids that went after Medicaid programs here in Minnesota. And of course, one of them was the Equality Leering Center. So Democrats are about to lear the hard way. And I've actually seen some internal polling here in Minnesota that's probably going to come in early June coming up here. But I'm just going to tell you here, it's very close. Republicans in this state have a very legitimate chance at changing the conversation. And it's because of the fraud issue. It's because of all of the things that have happened. And people look at Operation Metro Search, maybe it went a little bit sour, not the way we necessarily wanted. But at the end of the day, the elephant in the room is the fraud. It's the 9 to 18 billion dollars. And when Democrats are complaining about, you know, gas prices right now, if you account for the fraud, and then the Minnesotans, if you account for the ratio on that, it's fifteen hundred dollars per person.
Van Hip
Per person.
Dustin Grage
That's a whole year's worth of gas for some people. And that's also just per individual. A family of four, you're talking 6,000 plus dollars in savings they could have if this didn't go to fraud. So it's a major issue here in Minnesota. And J.D. vance is doing a great job going after it. He initially said the experts were telling him, oh, it's going to take six months before we can actually like, you know, put together criminal cases and get started on this. Well, within three months, there were raids. So we're two times ahead of schedule on actually going after the squad from a legal standpoint. The U.S. attorney's office here in Minnesota is now back to full strength. We have a new first assistant U.S. attorney. So we're back to full strength here in Minnesota. And fraud is the number one issue on voters minds.
Alison Hans
Okay.
Dustin Grage
And yeah, it's going to be the determining factor.
Alison Hans
Go, go, go. Okay, thank you. Dustin Grage, thanks so much for being here with us this morning. We appreciate you.

Welcome back to American Sunrise. Most of us apply pretty high standards to everything we let into our lives. What we read, who we trust, what we stand for. And then we start every single morning with a bag of coffee that says blend on it from who knows where, roasted who knows when, with no idea what toxins you're inviting in with it. 1775 Coffee is one certified organic farm in Bolivia. Ships directly to Miami and straight to your door. Small batch roasted in the usa. The kind of coffee that actually reflects the standards you hold. Everything else too. Drink coffee that doesn't just fuel your morning, but fuels your body. 1775 Coffee.com use the code RAV for 15% off. All right, now that we are caffeinated, it's time to stay awake, not woke. And who is awake today? Gen Z commentator Wyatt Sharp, who is in studio with us this morning. Wyatt, I was so excited to hear from you. You were here in Florida for the Combating Anti Semitism movement. Tell us a little bit more about that.
Wyatt Sharp
Yeah, I think with, you know, my generation and Gen Z in particular, it's become kind of the stereotype and the norm, so to speak, to either not care about this issue or to just kind of take what you see on social media and kind of form your opinions. Kind of surrounding that. So for me, I was invited to go, it was important for me to go kind of COVID what was happening, see what different influencers involved in this kind of, you know, issue and space were saying. And then also some key experts and geopolitical people in that field as well. Because I think right now, you know, society has a conversation problem where people aren't really talking with each other. There's a lot of kind of talking at each other, especially on some of these really polarizing geopolitical issues. And so I guess kind of just underscoring that in particular this time was really important in terms of again, trying to understand as best as possible. And oftentimes the best way to do that is just through having conversations with each other.
Emily Finn
Absolutely. Dialogue and communication is the way forward. And it's so interesting, this issue of antisemitism. We've seen so much on college campuses. And I'm talking with you, you haven't even gone to college yet. Tell our viewers a little bit more how old you are and about your background and what you do.
Wyatt Sharp
Yeah, so my name is Wyeshire, I'm 17. I'm a political commentator and a journalist and so I'm from Toronto. But a lot of what I do is based on obviously US politics and US media. And I've interviewed Justin Trudeau, RFK Jr Laura Trump, Vivek Ramaswamy, a number of people from both sides of the aisle. I think right now in society again, there's a lot of kind of, you know, commentary and analysis based kind of people out there in the media, but not a lot of fact driven, unbiased journalism. And so that's really what I prioritize and just kind of, I think that's what people want, right? They want to see the news and then be able to kind of formulate their opinions. Opinions based on that. I think certainly there's a lot of places people can go for more of the opinion side if they want. But the void I'm trying to fill in particular is the kind of unbiased middle of the road reporting which is certainly lacking right now.
Emily Finn
It is certainly lacking. You are so impressive and I don't know too many young people that think the same way that you do. So I do want to get your take on this headline that I have here. This was from the Atlantic and it reads the great Gen Z dividing line. The older ones and the younger ones may be voting in different ways. How do you interpret this headline? Do you see a difference among the elder Gen Z like me Right. And the younger Gen Z like you that are, there's differences in the voting, voting trends, I would say a lot
Wyatt Sharp
of the stereotypes that people have about Gen Z, you know, things like they're unproductive or they're lazy or, you know, kind of those stereotypical things at face value. I think part of the reason people have those stereotypes is because for the older part of Gen Z and that component like you were talking about, that was kind of the generation that was really impacted by Covid. And so as a result, there was kind of this time in their life where they didn't really have a lot going on. And so it was very easy to fall into those stereotypes. Whereas I think the younger generation, Gen Z, they're really starting to become fed up by the fact that there's not really an incentive anymore for hard work or there's not an incentive to be productive because of kind of the nature of our system. And so I think for young people and kind of that younger component of Gen Z, Gen Z in particular, they are really kind of starting to get involved with their lives because they, you know, they want to have some kind of self ownership, some self determination. And so I guess that's kind of the dividing line. And to that end that would kind of drive political decisions if one kind of component of Gen Z feels as if they're not being represented effectively by some of their lawmakers.
Emily Finn
Wow, that is really interesting analysis. How do you think that applies to the midterm elections here in the U.S.
Wyatt Sharp
yeah, I mean, I think right now what you're seeing on kind of the midterms scale is candidates who are extremely exciting people to get out there and vote. I don't think there's been a lot of discussion about the midterm elections to this degree for such a long time. In large part, I think because of the way that kind of the polls are going, it's showing that it will be a really contentious race in, you know, even some places that aren't always super competitive. I think Democrats have put forth some strong candidates that Republicans will need to kind of, you know, counter. And I think Republicans are doing that to some extent as well. And I also think Republicans are doing an effective job right now at kind of showing people that the party, although it's founded on kind of what Donald Trump wants, and really that's what's guiding it right now, that they do have other people in the party who can continue that mantle forward afterwards, even if the person itself is not Donald Trump.
Emily Finn
I think that's going to be the most interesting thing to see is who is he going to pass the torch on to next. Wyatt, we are so impressed by you. Thank you so much for being here on the show this morning and I can't wait to see how you grow and what you do next in your career. Thanks for being here. More American Sunrise after the break. We'll be right back.

God bless the USA. In the beginning, God created the heaven and the earth.
Alison Hans
Welcome back to American Sunrise. It's time now for our Moment of Faith, brought to you by Lee Greenwood and the God Bless the USA Bible. This morning, all eyes are on Capitol Hill. We're standing by for a major House Judiciary Committee press conference focused on organizations targeted by the Southern Poverty Law Center's controversial hate map. Lawmakers, advocates and religious leaders are expected to speak out. And the conversation could have major implications for free speech, religious liberty and conservative groups across the country. Joining us live now From Washington is Rad D.C. correspondent Neal McCabe. Neal set the scene for us this morning. Who is expected to speak and what should our viewers be watching for?
Martha Stewart
Hey, good morning, Alison. Yeah, I'm here at what they call the House Triangle, which is right outside the Capitol building. And there's going to be a press conference in a few minutes led by Georgia Republican Congressman Clay Fuller and Moms for Liberty. Moms for Liberty, along with Tony Perkins and other organizations that were targeted by the Southern Poverty Legal Center. And the SPLC for decades was running a scam where they would raise money, they would create problems. Like they would fund the Ku Klux Klan to do marches and then they would condemn the Ku Klux Klan and then raise more money. And then as this built, as this scam was building and expanding, they started targeting conservative groups, groups and literally labeling them as hate groups, which meant that they were ineligible for funding.
David Brody
They were banned from Pentagon projects.
Martha Stewart
And then people took it upon themselves to do violence against these groups because they were labeled as hate.
David Brody
All created by this money making machine
Martha Stewart
called the SPLC which profited.
David Brody
They turned hate into a trading desk.
Alison Hans
Well, Neil, I really hope that they nail this press conference this morning because this story is so outrageous and I don't think that the messaging so far has been on point to get the story across about how ridiculous this is.
Martha Stewart
Well, I just look at the ramifications
David Brody
that they staged that hate rally in Unite the Right and Charlottesville and then
Martha Stewart
Joe Biden said it was Charlottesville was the reason why he decided to run for president. And it's just over and over again they were just put, they're putting themselves in the mix and it's millions of
David Brody
dollars and it's, you know, it's like groups.
Martha Stewart
Because they were labeled as hate groups, they were ineligible for funding, they were banned from participating in events. It really was horrible. And we're just finally getting to light.
David Brody
At 10 o' clock there's a House
Martha Stewart
judiciary hearing with Jim Jordan and they'll get to the bottom of it.
Alison Hans
Okay. And I know you will be there following everything, every step of the way. Thank you so much, Neil. We are back with the second hour of American Sunrise in two minutes. Stick.

how to make hosting look effortless? Here's a secret. Getting ahead of the mess with new Reynolds Kitchens countertop prep paper. Just lightly wet the counter beforehand so the paper grips and stays in place. Then lay down the Reynolds Kitchen's countertop prep paper so drips and spills stay on the paper, not all over your kitchen counter. You can roll out dough, prep a party spread, or cook alongside family. When you're done, cleanup is as simple as lifting the paper and revealing that clean counter underneath. Effortless. You can use it for cooking and baking, prep and even crafting, especially when you need extra working space. Because when the mess is already handled, you can focus on what matters. The food, the people and the moment. It may look effortless, but now you know it's Reynolds Kitchens countertop prep paper. Take a tip from me. Wet it, set it, prep it, done. Make it easy. Make it with Reynolds Kitchens countertop prep paper, available now in the Reynolds wrap aisle in Walmart, Target, Amazon and Costco.

to the Moms for Liberty for allowing me to be here with you this morning. So thank you so much.
Tracey Anthony
Thank you, Congressman, for hosting us here today. Today I stand here for something much bigger than Moms for Liberty. I'm standing for all parents and grandparents and citizens that believe they still have the right to stand up at a school board meeting and speak out on behalf of their children and a broken education system. And they have the right to not be called extremists and be labeled. Because what is happening to Moms for Liberty today should upset every American, regardless of political party. In June 2023, the Southern Poverty Law center labeled Moms for Liberty and put us on their hate map. Moms for Liberty chapters, 249 of them are on that hate map. And we make up 20% of the southern Poverty Law Center's map. Combined with other parents rights groups, we make up over 50% of their anti government extremist categories. Moms Dads grandparents. The moment they added us to that map, everything changed. Our mission didn't change, our purpose didn't change, but everything changed because a very well funded, powerful organization decided to place a target on the backs of mothers and fathers. And I'd like to call this exactly what it is. It is manufacturing hate and the consequences are real. Right here I have 125 pages. I could have thousands more if I had time. Of parent testimonies of what the SPLC has done to them, to their children, to their families. Families. There are stories of being doxxed. There are stories of being swatted. There's a story from Julie, our chapter chair in Georgia, who lost her income, her ability to provide for her family. There's a story of a mom in Maryland and I want to read a quote from her testimony. My child's father directly weaponized the SPLC designation and sworn discovery responses to argue that my involvement and my child's education made me potentially unfit to have primary education custody. The single label portrayed me as a dangerous radical. Parents will tell you in this document that because of the SPLC they needed police protection. But I'll tell you who didn't ask for police protection and that is our chair in Massachusetts. And she didn't ask because the entire minute police across the state have been trained in their documents from the SPLC that Moms for Liberty is dangerous to their communities and to their state. How can she ever feel safe in the state of Massachusetts? Then there's Nicole in Pennsylvania, who's also in this document. Her children were exposed to public slurs, hostility, threatening behavior at local events. Objects were thrown at her car when her family was in it. They had to install security cameras and get protection because individuals were claiming to know where she lived and they would find her. Think about this for a moment. Mothers and fathers attending school board meetings are now needing protection and security. When parents need escorts to participate in civic life, something has gone terribly wrong in America. Our members are not radicals. They are not extremists. They are moms packing lunches. They are dads at baseball games, coaching. They are grandparents trying to raise their grandchildren. They are your neighbors. Disagreeing is not hate. Questioning the government is not extremism. One of the worst parts of this is the spl. Labels don't stay on their website. They move into public meetings. They move into media coverage, into political campaigns, into government discussions and in training materials. Labels do matter because once you label citizens as dangerous, people begin treating them as dangerous. And a repeated lie often enough will become a weapon that is used against our citizens. I want to be clear this isn't about avoiding.
Terrence Bates
That's Moms for Liberty founder and CEO Tina Deskovich there. She's speaking the at a press conference on the Southern Poverty Law Center's targeting of conservative groups. We'll of course, continue to monitor that press conference and update you as new developments become available. In the meantime, we're also continuing to follow the very latest developments on the war in Iran here at home. The Senate advanced a war powers resolution Yesterday in a 50 to 47 procedural vote with four Republican senators, Rand Paul, Susan Collins, Lisa Murkowski and Bill Cassidy of Louisiana joining most Democrats in support of the measure. The legislation, led by Virginia Senator Tim Kaine, would require President Trump to seek congressional authorization in order to continue military operations against Iran. The vote marks one of the most significant Republican breaks with President Trump on foreign policy during his second term. By the way, another similar vote set for today in the U.S. house. Joining us now with analysis is the chairman of the American Defense International Group and he is the author of the book the New Terrorism. Van Hip VAN Good morning, sir. So look, there's so much to unpack as it relates to the US War with Iran. Obviously, President Trump pushed off a planned attack yesterday under, if you will, pressure under concerns from Gulf, Gulf area allies. How is this ultimately going to play out? And is a deal really likely or is Iran simply continuing to try to kick the ball, kick the can down the down the street as much as possible?
Dustin Grage
Yeah, time is not on their side and they know it. And the president, Terrence said yesterday they've got two to three days to make a deal. Two to three days. And he said maybe as early as next week. And that's it. Then the president said we may have to hit him one more big time. I think there's a real rift right now between the IRGC and the civilian leadership. Look at their own President Pysechkin. He has made statements that what the IRGC has done to attack their neighbors in the region, he's called it madness. They've cut him off from the supreme leader. They've canceled his appointments. I think we need to do everything that we can, including psychological warfare to drive that rift in between the IRGC and the civilian leadership there. And maybe just one more big hit will do it. But I've said this before, I think we need to tell them when this thing is over with, there are going to be Nuremberg style trials. You're going to be held accountable for your terrorist activities and for the atrocities on your own people. And the only way out is to defect now or to give up.
Alison Hans
That's what I like to hear. Okay, Van we also, we want to move on to another one of our top political stories this morning. Yesterday, President Trump issued his long awaited endorsement for Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton in his primary race against incumbent Senator John Cornyn. The president made the endorsement in a lengthy truth social post, in part writing, I know Ken well, have seen him tested at the highest and most difficult levels and he is a winner. Ken is a strong supporter of terminating the filibuster and very importantly, the Save America act, something which polls at 87%, including Democrats, and yet can't seem to get approved. Okay, Van, what do you think of all this? Did the president make the right call?
Dustin Grage
Well, and there's a lot of money. I forget how many millions of dollars has gone into that race in Texas, but we're going to find out for sure next Tuesday. You've got two conservatives running, but there's no question the president's endorsement is so, so strong. But again, the polls have shown it's a very, very tight race right now.
Alison Hans
Yeah, I mean, the question I would kind of pose out there is what would the MAGA base have done had the president endorsed Cornyn? You know, that would have been pretty, that would have been pretty tough.
Martha Stewart
I don't know.
Dustin Grage
But again, the polls, the polls show this is a very, very tight race right now. Now in Texas. Very tight.
Emily Finn
It certainly is. All right, Van, we want to move on to some foreign policy. Russian President Vladimir Putin met with Chinese President Xi Jinping just days after President Trump concluded his two day summit in China. During the meeting, Xi and Putin discussed trade, energy, security cooperation and the war in Ukraine. The two leaders also criticized what they described as Western efforts to contain both China and Russia. The visit comes as Moscow recently relies on Beijing for economic support following years of Western sanctions. Is this deepening relationship a cause for concern?
Dustin Grage
No, I think what's going on here is that Putin is a little concerned. He's got an economy that's in trouble. These sanctions have had a major impact on him, on their economy. And he's concerned about President Trump's recent trip to China. And I think one of the exact quotes was, is China getting closer more to the United States versus Russia? I think the big story here is that President Trump has dusted off the old Richard Nixon playbook and what he's doing is driving that wedge between China and Russia. Roger Stone actually had a great article out this week where he said that Trump is channeling Nixon from a position of strength to gain leverage. I think there's something to that.
Terrence Bates
Van Hip, we always appreciate having you and always appreciate your perspective. Thanks so much. We'll have a much longer conversation next time we see you.
Dustin Grage
Thank you.
Alison Hans
Thanks.
Terrence Bates
Thank you. All right folks, Coming up, a Staten island artist unveils a tribute for New York City Mayor Zoran Mondame. But the mayor may not like it. That six foot tall message next right here on American Sunrise.

Welcome back to American Sunrise. I'm American Sunrise contributor Emily Finn. It's great to have you with us this morning. Time now to drain the swamp. And this morning, New Yorkers are flushing out their own mayor Zoran Mamdani. Staten island based artist Scott Loboto recently revealed his latest work, a six foot tall statue of a giant middle finger pointing directly at the mayor's office inside City Hall.
Alison Hans
Wow.
Emily Finn
The artist was anything but subtle about his intentions. Take a look.
Van Hip
The artist that is successful is the artist that can capture the emotions of his village. Here in my sculpture that I created is a gift to the mayor, Ma'
Terrence Bates
Am Dandy of New York.
Van Hip
And it's also a gift from the people of New York. I give you the fungal.
Emily Finn
All right, let's discuss more with Alison and Terrence Allison. I think this is absolutely hilarious. I didn't realize at first that it was right outside of his office.
Alison Hans
Oh, yeah, right in your face. I absolutely love it. Scott Libado, he is one of a kind. He's been doing art installations for decades, but this one, chef's kiss. Terence.
Terrence Bates
You know, having interviewed Scott on a number of occasions and even having met him personally, this is his personality. Like, he's a very in your face kind of person. He is. If there's a stereotype for a New Yorker, he probably is that stereotype. He could be kind of gruff, straight up, you know, it's no chaser. It's, you know, straight swig, no chaser with him. And this Is I think, an example of his sort of artwork. It's very in your face, and I appreciate it. And I think what he had to say there, Alison, is spot on. You know, some of the best art is art that reflects people. You know, what's the saying? Reality for art reflects reality and reality reflects art, or something like that. And there you have it.
Alison Hans
Well, yeah, he was, you know, saying it's reflecting the village. And I would say that there are a lot of people in the village of New York City who would like to do that and send that message.
Emily Finn
Yeah. And not to, you know, kill the fun here, but in all seriousness, there is a lot of reasons why New Yorkers feel that way about this mayor. And we've been saying this on this program. We saw this train wreck coming when the election was happening in New York, and it's just so sad to see all of this play out. But I gotta be honest, New York is in such bad shape that it's almost like welcoming people to come and vandalize this piece of art. And it's almost welcoming. Even more division. I think it is really, really funny. He's definitely making his voice heard. But, man, I would love to see more people coming together, maybe having dialogue and having conversations. We have so much in your face back and forth in this country that hopefully we can be a little bit more peaceful.
Terrence Bates
If I can just add really quickly. I appreciate the color. Did you notice that it's Liberty green? It's that kind of green like the Statue of Liberty, Lady Liberty. So I think even there's the implication that it's Lady Liberty that's giving Zoran Mandami the finger here, which I appreciate.
Alison Hans
Terrence, you are an art aficionado. Impressing me this morning.
Terrence Bates
Well, you know, on weekends I do wear an ascot.

A live look at Joint Base Andrews. Air Force One is all fueled up and ready to go. President Trump set to arrive there momentarily as he heads over to speak to members of the U.S. coast Guard. We of course will have live coverage the moment he arrives. And if he happens to speak with reporters before, before he leaves, we'll take you there live as well. Welcome back everyone. Getting ready for the opening bell at the New York Stock Exchange. It's set to ring here in a few minutes. As well as we wait, want to take a quick look at the futures market? Oh, What a difference 24 hours can make. Yesterday this board was red top to bottom. This morning the futures markets, particularly on The Dow S P 500 and the Nasdaq are in the green. We shall see if it stays that way. We'll take it to New York again for the opening bell here in short order. First though, let's get you go over to my good friend David. David Brody, Good morning. Your hair is still looking good despite the humidity there in the nation's capital. I'm very jealous. Jealous, really, that you have hair and I don't. But that's a whole.
David Brody
Well, do not covet my hair tv. No, just kidding. That's fine. I'll stay in air conditioning, by the way, all day. Today a new health supplement is gaining attention, claiming to support long term wellness at the cellular level. It's built around what's known as C15, an essential fatty acid that researchers say may play a key role in supporting cell health, metabolism and even healthy aging. Experts say this nutrient, once common in certain diets, is largely missing from modern nutrition and reintroducing it actually could help improve overall health markers. So joining us now to discuss is the co founder and co CEO for Fatty 15, Dr. Stephanie Van Watson. Stephanie, good morning to you. Hey, good morning fatty 15 sounds like the story of my life with my weight gain. But let me ask you this Stephanie. Longevity, it's been a hot topic these days. You've got the best selling Simon and Schuster book, the longevity nutrient. You share how like Navy dolphins helped unlock a secret to longevity and healthy aging. So tell us more about that and all of this. It's fascinating. Good morning.
P
Thanks. Thanks David. I mean what better story for National Military Appreciation Month than to thank our Navy dolphins for bringing this wonderful gift to us. So yeah, I was a veterinary epidemiologist, David. I was working for the Navy, helping to improve their life and welfare and caring for older Navy dolphins. Surprisingly, dolphins in the wild, they live 20 years. Dolphins at the Navy, they live into their 40s and 50s with, with two dolphins turning 60 years old this year. And what we found was about one in three older dolphins developed aging associated diseases just like us. Chronic inflammation, fatty liver disease, high cholesterol. And so we use this technology called metabolomics, Looked at thousands of small molecules present in their blood and their all fish diet and looked for which small molecules predicted the healthiest aging dolphins. And David, we're surprised to find that C15, this saturated odd chain, saturated fatty acid, predicted the healthiest aging Dolphins. Fast forward 10 years and over 150 peer reviewed studies since that discovery. And like you said, it has now emerged as an essential healthy aging nutrient. One that we need to protect ourselves and keep us healthy.
David Brody
Well, that is just fascinating. So not to kind of geek out on the details, what is C15? It's called C15. I mean how does it actually support healthy aging? Like what's kind of the science behind it?
P
Yeah, we love to geek out over here. So C15, so it's just a simple molecule, has 15 carbons put together. So who knew that something so simple could have such big benefits? It's a stable fatty acid. It goes into our cell membrane. So our whole body, right, is made of cells. This C15 goes into our cell membranes and, and acts as a stabilizer for our cells to literally support ourselves against age related breakdown and even shown in multiple studies to reverse aging at the cellular level, helping to improve our metabolic heart, liver, immune health and so much more. We're so grateful for our Navy dolphins.
David Brody
How much, how often do you have to take it? How does it work? I'm curious about the details on that,
P
yeah, it's great because it's one tiny little pill. A lot of times these supplements can have really large pills. These are tiny p. The Navy funded us to make this pure C15 supplement so that we could deliver exactly what people need. It's only 100 to 200 milligrams per day. Our retention rate. Over 95% of people stay with us. And it's a lot because 70% of people within 16 weeks feel or see benefits, including some delights and surprises of sleeping better, calmer mood. I myself, I had a tennis elbow, even though I don't play tennis, and it helps get rid of that pain for me. We've heard that a lot from our customers.
David Brody
That's phenomenal. We have about a minute left. I'm curious. What are some other promising longevity molecules and how C15 compares to those?
Emily Finn
Right?
P
So there's a lot of studies being done, like a lot of exciting research being done on longevity. On healthy aging. We're understanding better than ever how to help extend not just our lifespan.
Mood.com Advertiser
Right.
P
Like we have in our. In the book, but our health span. We want to stay as healthy as possible. So there are some leading molecules. They're actually drugs, right? One called rapamycin, another called metformin. What we found was C15, which was. Which is literally present in mother's milk, right? So it's something that all of us get at birth. This is a nutrient we were unlike the drugs we were meant to have and we're meant to have throughout our lives and to protect our health. So much so that it's now emerging that if we don't have enough C15, our cells can become fragile. We can develop this new form of cell death called fraptosis, which accelerates aging, the onset of chronic diseases. And so now we're understanding better than ever. We need the C15 in our cells. Keep us strong, healthy, and optimize our lifespan.
David Brody
Absolutely love that. Dr. Stephanie Van Watson, thanks for being here. And remember, everybody, go to fatty food to use more. And use the code sunrise for 15% off your first order. Stephanie, thanks for being here. Appreciate it.
P
It was wonderful being here. Thank you, David.

Okay, welcome back. We are going to go live to President Trump, who just is about to abort Air Force One. Let's listen in to what he has to say. Okay, we're getting the cameras set up right now. He is getting on Air Force One in a moment to head to Connecticut. I believe he will be speaking to Coast Guard graduates. So that is what is planned today. It looks like he's having a small gaggle beneath Air Force One at this point. Let's bring in Terrence and David to discuss. So another event today is, I guess he'll be speaking with graduates at the Coast Guard Academy. Going to be a very interesting, interesting day.
David Brody
Yeah. Typically the way this works. I was going to say typically the way this works is. The reason we're not hearing audio right now is that this is typically. We do have it. Let's listen.
Van Hip
I think probably he'll win very substantially, and I think he'll go on to defeat a very defective candidate. A candidate that believes in six genders. And he. He takes hits at Jesus Christ. And he's wearing a mask six months ago. Where's anybody wearing a mask six months ago? Doesn't get it. And he's a vegan. He's a vegan in Texas, and you can't get elected as a vegan in Texas.
Martha Stewart
Did you talk to Senate leadership on the Republican side about endorsing against an incumbent?
Van Hip
I did. I did. They'll be all right with it. They want to win. I know how to win. Some of them don't know how to win. I know how to win. I think I've proven that, haven't I?
Alison Hans
Are you worried about the ballroom funding, Mr. President?
Tracey Anthony
There speculation that could be.
Van Hip
The ballrooms are being built. I'm building the ballroom. You saw it yesterday, right?
Alison Hans
Yeah.
Van Hip
We're building a great ballroom. It's been needed. It's a very military complex. The roof is actually a drone port. The roof of the ballroom is a drone port, and it gives great safety to everything below. We're building a really great ballroom, but it's also a military. Strong military position for our people.
Tracey Anthony
Do you think better in the press briefing room, sir?
Dustin Grage
Do I think who Vance or Ruby
Tracey Anthony
Go did better in the press briefing?
Van Hip
I think they both did great. What do you want me to say? Right? I think they both do. You like that? That's pretty good, though, right? I think they both did good. I watched both of them. Both very good men. Really.
Tracey Anthony
Did you have a problem with Prime
Alison Hans
Minister Netanyahu when her husband votes against
Van Hip
me all the time? Can you imagine? I don't know what's with him. You better ask him. What's with him? Her husband. She's married to a certain congressman.
David Brody
He votes.
Van Hip
He likes voting against Trump. You know what happens with that? Doesn't work out well. I don't know why he does.
Tracey Anthony
Mr. President, are you going to Taiwan? Do you have any plans to call
Alison Hans
President Lai before you make your decision
Tracey Anthony
on the arms deal?
Van Hip
What?
Alison Hans
Do you have any plans to call
Tracey Anthony
President Lai of Taiwan before you make a decision on the weapons package?
Van Hip
Well, I'll speak to him. I speak to everybody. We have that situation very well in hand. We had a great meeting with President Xi. It was amazing, actually. It was amazing. Many of you were there. We'll work on that. The Taiwan problem, what have you said
Tom Smith
to Prime Minister Netanyahu about Iran and how long to hold off on strike?
Van Hip
Fine. He'll do whatever I want. Want him to do. He's a very, very good man. He'll do whatever I want him to do. And he's a. He's a great guy. To me, he's a great guy. Don't forget he was a wartime prime minister and he's not treated right in Israel. In my opinion. I'm right now at 99% in Israel. I could run for prime minister. So maybe after I do this, I'll go to Israel, run for prime minister. I don't a poll this morning. I'm 99%, so that's good. But no, he's a wartime prime minister and I just don't think they treat him well. I think they have a president over there that treats him very poorly.
Martha Stewart
You're on the same page with him on Iran?
Van Hip
Yeah.
Tracey Anthony
Does the president talk anyone, about replacing Lauren Bovert? After you. After she.
Van Hip
If somebody comes along, I'd look. It's a little late in the race, but if somebody comes along, I'd look.
Tracey Anthony
Do you see yourself in him at all? A former reality TV star?
Van Hip
I'd like to see him do well. He's a character. I don't know. I don't know him. I assume he probably supports me. Does he support me?
Mood.com Advertiser
I think so.
Van Hip
So, yeah, I heard he does. I heard he's a Big Maca person. He's doing well. I don't know. You know you have a rigged vote out there. That's the problem. The votes are rigged. You have a really rigged vote in California. You have all the mail in ballots. Everything else very hard to win because the elections are very dishonest. If we had Jesus Christ come down and count the votes, I would have Won California because I do great with Hispanics. But it's a rigged vote. They send out 38 million votes. Nobody knows where they're going. Of course, the Democrats do, I guess, but this disproportionately. Democrats get many more votes. Some get eight votes. They get eight cards. And Republicans have to call in. Where's my card? It's a rigged system. One of the most, not the worst. I'll give you a list. Maybe I'll do my list, but it's. California is one of the most dishonest states for learning.
Terrence Bates
What's your message to the cadets today?
Van Hip
Just enjoy your life. You know, they enjoy it. They're great guys. My second time at the Coast Guard Academy. They're great guys. We like them. You know, you don't really realize how important Coast Guard is until you have a hurricane. I remember the big hurricane in Texas where these kids go on boats and they're going to the waves that are 20 times higher than the boat. And I say, can they really make it? I'm watching this. And they say they find a way. But they were going into waves, these massive waves to save people that were inside. And you don't realize it, but, boy, they are good. They are good seamen. They are unbelievable. I wouldn't want to do it. I'm a very brave person. I wouldn't want to do it.
Alison Hans
What do you make of President Xi meeting with Putin this week?
Van Hip
Well, he told me he was going to. I think it's good. I get along with both of them, but I think it's good. I don't know if the ceremony. He was quite as brilliant as mine. I watched. I think we topped him. I think we topped him. Good team. But now I like. I get along with Putin. I get along with. I get along with everybody but your husband and a few others.
Tracey Anthony
On the Iran deal, would you be open to a limited deal that just covered the Strait of Hormuz?
Van Hip
What does that mean on Iran?
Tracey Anthony
Just a limited deal. Just for a longer ceasefire.
Van Hip
We'd have to open the Strait. That would open immediate. And so we're going to give this one shot. I'm in no hurry. You never think, oh, the midterms. I'm in a hurry. I'm in no hurry. I just. Ideally, I'd like to see few people killed as opposed to a lot. We can do it either way, but I'd like to see few people killed. I just wonder whether or not they have the good of the people, because some of the things they're doing to Me means they don't have the good of the people and they have to have the good of the people. There's a lot of anger now in Iran because people are living so badly. There's a lot of foment that we haven't seen before. So much. And we'll see what happens.
Terrence Bates
Is it taken longer than you expected
Martha Stewart
it would to make a deal with Iran?
Van Hip
Well, let's put it this way. You were in Vietnam 19 years, right? You were in, you were in Afghanistan and these other places. 10 years. You were in Iraq. How long were you In Iraq? Iraq, 12, 12 years. You were in Korea for seven years. World War II is different. That was four years. I'm in for three months. And much of it's been ceasefire, so. And you know what? You lost hundreds of thousands of soldiers in these various wars. In two wars, Venezuela, where we lost nobody, and here we lost 13 people. Now, 13 people is 13 too much. But we lost 13 people. In other wars, you lost hundreds of thousands of people. So people don't like it when you say, oh, do you know you've lost 13. We lost in two major wars. We took over Venezuela, we essentially took over Iran. And we've lost so far, 13 people. Some other, some, some other. Somebody else would have lost 100,000 people, okay? But I get a kick when I look at somebody on television. He's lost 13 people. I lost 13 people. They lost 13 people leaving an airport. Obama, 13 very good people that I got to know their families. So what we've done is amazing. And we have them decimated. Iran is decimated. And, and I mean, you're going to see things that are amazing. You're going to see a lot of amazing things over the next three years for our country. And I'd like to talk more about the economic, because we have $18 trillion being spent and no country has ever had anything like that. We have car plants pouring in from Mexico, Canada. They don't want to be there. There's no reason to be there because they want to sell to our market. We have car companies and plants coming, coming in from Germany, from South Korea, from Japan, coming in by the billions. And they're being built now. You're going to see things that nobody thought was possible. You're going to end up saying, he's the greatest president that ever lived. Goodbye, everybody.
Tracey Anthony
James told me over the weekend, Mr. President.
Martha Stewart
He suggested that there's still people in
Alison Hans
your DOJ and FBI that are waiting you out.
Martha Stewart
They're waiting until your, your administration is over.
Tracey Anthony
To get back to work.
Emily Finn
Do you think those people are still
Alison Hans
in the DOJ and FBI?
Van Hip
I hope not. Well, we're going to seek them out. We'll seek them out. We'll get rid of them, okay? Because you have, in every agency, you have scum, and certainly they did in the FBI and doj. But Todd Blanch is doing a fantastic job. Cash is doing a very good job. So we'll, we will prevail. I've been standing here a long time with you many years. Right. And they've been saying, I think it's it. I think he's trouble here. I am. You know, it's a very constant situation. But I think you're going to find that we have great people in the FBI and we have great people in doj. Todd Blanche has really been doing a great job and a lot of things to come. We have a lot of things that are coming right now. It's going to be great. Our country is doing well. Thank you very much.
Alison Hans
Thank you, Mr. President. And you just heard from President Trump speaking to reporters ahead of his departure from Joint Base Andrews. Let's bring in David and Terence. That was certainly an interesting gaggle right there. What the kind of the headline that I was taking away was that the ballroom is going to be some sort of military complex. That was kind of flashing out to me. I don't know. Gentlemen.
Terrence Bates
So, David and Alison, here's what the headline is going to be. Mark my words, and I'm willing to take wages on this. President Trump wants to run for prime minister of Israel. That's what the headline is going to be like. I'm dead serious. I guarantee you some newspaper somewhere is going to use that. He was obviously speaking in jest. Some newspaper somewhere is going to put that in a headline that President Trump has plans to run to be prime minister of Israel. Mark my words, David.
David Brody
Well, I would agree with you. And here are a couple other headlines that I think you're going to see. Quote, you can't get elected as a vegan in Texas. That is quite a statement. He's talking about James Talarico, who believes there are six genders and all of that. I mean, one thing with Trump. I mean, if he's not making news, he's always must see tv, right? I mean, this guy, I mean, what a piece of work he is. Quote, if we had Jesus Christ come down and count the votes, I would have won California. That'll be another headline for you tomorrow morning. And finally, my ceremony with Xi Jinping was better. Than Putin's ceremony, which, you know, he just, he's just hilarious. And Democrats can't stand it. But this guy, when he's done with being president, he may want to go on the road as a comedian and have a Netflix special.
Alison Hans
100% unbelievable. David, thank you so much for writing all of those down because you just hit, hit them one after another. He is absolutely hilarious. We love him. That was a juicy one. That was a juicy one.
David Brody
I guarantee you the New York Times will do some sort of story about how Trump has tarnished the reputation of vegans across the entire United States. Unbelievable.
Alison Hans
But the thing is, you know, he wrapped it up saying, just wait for the next three years. It's going to be amazing. So, great discussion, everyone. Okay, when there are supply constraints on commodities, prices surge. You saw with fuel prices when the Strait of Hormuz was blockaded. And you know what else is a limited commodity? Gold. They mine it out of the ground and when it's gone, it's gone. Governments can't just print more of it. And that's why everyone from central banks to savvy savers are diversified with gold. D.C. is corrupt. Politics is corrupt.
Terrence Bates

Martha Stewart

He was never part of the Epstein class.

You know, one thing he didn't do,
Terrence Bates
he didn't greenlight to turn Gaza into a Trump golf course with the maitre

David Brody
And there it is, the Israel aspect to all of this. Gaza. It's all the Jews fault, of course. And that will come up in the Hunter Biden interview. Alison. I don't know. I mean, the DC elite. His father wasn't part of the DC elite. He was in DC for over 50 years. What is he talking about? And Candace is going to let him off the hook on that? Yeah, of course she's going to. She's despicable.
Alison Hans
I really hope she doesn't let him off the hook, because she will. He's saying, okay, the laptop just showed that he was a crackhead. Yes, it does show that, but it also shows many tangential business dealings, which is, in my opinion, worse for him and also for his father. So cry me a river about him not being part of the elite class. Sorry. There was many, many funky deals going on. And that is elucidated in the laptop.
David Brody
Yep.
Terrence Bates
Again, you have to take the source. He is a crackhead. Recovered or not, he's still a crackhead. Once a crackhead, always a crackhead. So you have to take the source here. And I'm going to watch. Yes, admittedly, I'm going to watch this, but my expectations are low in terms of actual rebuttal and real probing from Candace. And in terms of what we're going to hear from Hunter Biden, I don't have high expectations, but if I've watched paint dry, why not watch. Watch this as well?
