The Charlie Kirk show starts now.
C
And now tensions are flaring even higher in Portland, Oregon after a border patrol agent shot a married couple there.
D
We know what the federal government says happened here. There was a time when we could take them at their word.
A
That time is long past and according.
C
To DHS now the border agents there were conducting a quote unquote targeted vehicle stop of this married couple. They accused the couple of both being.
E
Connected to the Venezuelan gang trend trend.
C
And claim that during the stop the driver tried to run over the agents and that is why one of them fired a quote defensive shot. No agents were injured in this. The married couple. They were both shot one in the.
D
Arm, one in the chest.
C
Both are in the hospital and local leaders now are demanding that ICE and other federal agents leave the city.
B
That is why we are calling on.
D
ICE to halt all operations in Portland until a full and independent investigation can take place. Our community deserves answers.
C
I Hennepin County Commissioner Irene Fernando but you can call me Commission. I use she her pronouns and I'm a very very proud child of immigrants. I'm the youngest woman to ever serve on the Hennepin county board. I'm the first Filipino American elected in the state and I'm Hennepin's first board chair of color in our 100 the taxpayer funded actions and harm we are experiencing right now are inhumane, unlawful and unconstitutional. United States due process means that justice is pursued through legal action, credible investigation and courts, not through guns, murder and violence on our streets. This is why we're calling on the federal government to cooperate with a joint or independent investigation conducted by the Minnesota Bureau of Criminal Apprehension. The thought is that they would do this together, but if for some reason that is not possible, please allow shared evidence for a parallel investigation. The idea that our federal government would not fully cooperate the BCA in an investigation creates even more mistrust among our community members because we know federal investigations are very rarely released to the public.
F
Let note that law enforcement professionals, real.
A
Ones, not the fake made up ice, probably Trump's new army to attack citizens.
F
Of the United States.
A
Did you hear what I said? No law enforcement professional wears a mask. Those that come into our communities wearing a mask to commit crime. I thank God for our District Attorney.
F
Larry Krasner, who say he's going to lock him up.
A
And I'm saying now we are not.
F
Going to whisk you away for them.
A
To hide your identity because when you.
F
Do it there, you're getting arrested there.
A
I remember when Charles Charlie Kirk got killed.
C
Do you, do you remember what our response was? Our response wasn't to sit there and pretend like it was okay. Is it okay because you have a badge?
A
Because the last time I checked, allegedly.
C
No one is above the law. Can y' all not just have a.
A
Little bit of courage and humanity. A child? Left wing violence is a problem in this country.
D
Jesse.
A
We've said this time and time again, my dear friend Charlie Kirk was murdered.
D
By a left wing radical. The President of the United States was almost killed a year and a half.
A
Ago and then again a few months after that. We have a real crisis where there are far too many left wing people.
D
Who don't want to debate, who don't want to disagree, who don't want to try to persuade.
A
Persuade their fellow citizens. They want to try to kill their fellow citizens.
D
And that's a real problem.
A
I never got to mourn Charlie publicly like everyone else.
D
And I'm obviously gonna have a lot.
A
To say during my first show, which we'll talk about in a second.
D
But, you know, rest in peace, brother. That was.
A
He was not only a friend, but a good friend. I think everybody had a little piece of Charlie in their lives, in the movement, you know, and Charlie made everyone feel, feel special.
D
So I miss your brother and may.
A
God rest your soul, so that I. I know I'm going to Talk about on my first show. But you know, that's really important.
D
I. I never got to say that.
A
Publicly and I really desperately wanted to.
D
I was devastated, as many people were by that horror.
A
I don't even know how to describe it. No one wants to even relive it.

D
Buckle up.
A
Here we go.
F
All right.
A
Welcome to the Charlie Kirk show. It is January 9, 2026. We are here in studio lots to go over. Blake Neff, Good morning.
E
Howdy.
A
We are going to be covering the all the developments with ICE that are happening in Minneapolis, in Portland, in Philadelphia. There's a new wrinkle there. We're also going to be covering the voter ID developments out of the state of California. Yes, I said that right. The state, state of California is making progress. Grassroots movement on voter id. They just crossed a million signatures. We're going to have Representative Calvert there, the highest ranking congressman out of the state of California joining us next. He's been behind the scenes pushing that boulder up a hill. He's doing great work there. And then an hour or two, we're going to take your Questions for an AMA members.charlie Kirk.com members.charlie Kirk.Com if you want to participate, we're going to be taking your questions all hour. Two lots to get to. We are now at the precipice of a very, very sticky, tricky situation. And we talked about it yesterday on our Thought Crime show with Jack Posobec. But we are now seeing local jurisdictions threatening federal law enforcement. Blake, give us the lowdown.
D
Well, so it's exactly what it is. So we had the shooting in Minneapolis and we've seen them sort of build up to this. There have been a few false starts because their rhetoric is like they'll use aggressive rhetoric, but they don't quite cross the line of taking action. But what they keep doing is they keep delegitimizing ice. They're calling them masked thugs. They say they're kidnapping people. Yeah, Gestapo. They say that they are committing crimes. And increasingly the goal is to basically say that ICE is a criminal organization and they will treat them as a criminal organization. And I think what we're building up to is they want to engineer a constitutional crisis where they can just overtly defy the enforcement of federal law, which is what ICE does. ICE is enforcing federal immigration law by arresting and deporting people who are illegally in the country. That is what they are doing. And like it started with, I've seen this play out over basically decades of my life because it was originally just, oh, that it causes harm to communities. If you arrest people, oh, if you, if you go to their church or if you do like, if you arrest them in certain contexts, then they won't go to hospitals or they won't call the police for other crimes. But increasingly, just the attitude is actually these people, all, everyone in the world has the right to be in America, especially if they're a foreign rapist, gangster, criminal especially. And any attempt to deport them or arrest them, they will not collaborate with that. We already see that with the sanctuary city stuff. They won't keep anyone locked up so that ICE can detain them. And now they just say, well, actually ICE just can't detain them at all. And where we're getting closer to this is we have them now just basically saying they're going to arrest ICE agents possibly.
A
And this is Philadelphia Sheriff Rochelle Bilal DEI Hire out of Philadelphia. And by the way, in this clip, she's praising the DA who's a Soros funded da absolutely lawless head of this city. It's incredible to the extent to which These municipalities have been radicalized. It's a longer clip, but she says to ice, you don't want this smoke. So she's like talking like a thug.
D
Well, let's just show the clip.
A
She's beheading like one. And she is forcing, as you said, a constitutional crisis. 371 Let know that law enforcement professionals, real ones, not the fake made up ice, probably Trump's a new army to.
F
Attack citizens of the United States.
A
Did you hear what I said?
F
No.
A
Law enforcement professional wears a mask. Those that come into our communities wearing a mask to commit crime. I thank God for our District Attorney.
F
Larry Krasner, who say he's going to lock him up. And I'm saying now, we are not going to whisk you away for them.
A
To hide your identity, because when you.
F
Do it there, you get arrested there.
A
If any of them want to come in this city and commit a crime.
F
You will not be able to hide.
A
Nobody will wish you off.
F
You don't want this smoke because we.
A
Will bring it to you. You don't want this smoke. So she's basically threatening an armed standoff with federal law enforcement. That, I mean, that is insane. It is deranged.
D
Larry Krasner, who we haven't talked about as much lately, but he was a big thing during peak Biden, peak woke era. He's one of the worst pro crime DA's purged his department of prosecutors. He basically, yeah, he procrastinate.
B
He's pro crime.
D
He stopped bail. He's like, I'm not going to prosecute minor thefts, all these other offenses. He's a pro crime individual. And suddenly he's saying, oh, I'm going to arrest ICE agents.
A
Yeah, that's anarcho tyranny as well. Right. Where you're enforcing the law selectively against your preferred targets. You're refusing to enforce a lot of the law if it's your preferred people groups, special groups, whether.
D
Possibly the most important test this administration.
A
So Philly is a standout because you've got this crazy sheriff who's saying, I'm gonna. You don't want this smoke. Which is a direct threat. I will say for the. In the instance of Minnesota 344, this is the statement by Minnesota police and peace officers. They're asking, they're basically condemning the, some of the statements, the rhetoric that are coming out of officials. They're asking leaders to stop inflammatory language and respect the legal investigative process. That, and they're saying that they under, they stand behind law enforcement. I E. ICE agents and irresponsible, reckless rhetoric from political leaders. Attacking law enforcement has real and dangerous consequences. So at least in the instance of Minnesota, it looks like the police are siding with law enforcement and ice. So that's a good sign. There more to come up. We also have an instance in Portland. We need to unpack. We'll be right back. Charlie understood that to lead, he needed to learn. Hillsdale College was ready to teach him. While busy running his company, teaching America's youth and raising a beautiful family, Charlie still found time to complete 31 Hillsdale College free online courses. He talked about it the last time he spoke on his podcast with Hillsdale's president, Dr. Larry Arn. Hillsdale is the cutting edge and I mean it.
B
It is America's greatest college.
A
You are a force of nature, Charlie Kirk. One of these days I'm going to give you an honorary degree.
B
That, that would be the honor of my life.
A
But I. I got a lot more learning yet to do. And I say this, the Hillsdale courses have changed my life. Through Hillsdale College's free online courses, Charlie studied the Bible, the classics, the American founding, and through his relentless pursuit of truth became not only a great American, but a good man. Charlie's gone, but his spirit of hard work and lifelong learning carry on. Each of us can follow his example.

It'll take three minutes and you'll find out if they can help you and there will be no impact to your credit. So check it out. Why refi.com all right, so there is a another ICE encounter that was exploding on the news last night and it was involving a CPB as customs Border patrol CBP agent in the city of Portland. And it turns out it was another ramming incident according to dhs. And the individual that tried to ram the CBP agent was a trend gangbanger who runs a prostitution ring. And the initial reports were fascinating because they said it was a husband and wife. And then there was pictures of the woman scantily clad. And we do not think that that would be his wife.
D
Actually, I wouldn't put that beyond.
A
I mean, maybe it is, maybe it's not, but it would be surprising. So there are the suspects. And without fail, on call, on cue, Portland mayor and Oregon Governor Kodak are coming to the defense of the Trend Aragua gang banger and calling ICE to leave their city because it's ICE's fault that these gang bangers are in the country in the first place. I mean, just for example, you need to, you need to check this out. This. Let's just a little trip down memory lane, go up and throw up. 379 this is the B roll. This is how we got here, folks. This is why all of these conversations are happening. Because under four years of Joe Biden, this was your southern border. Thousands upon thousands of God knows who just streaming over the border coming into your country. Coming into cities like Portland and Minneapolis and Philadelphia and everywhere else. Often. Yeah, often paid for by the taxpayers to relocate them in the interior. And we're trying to set things right. They don't like both of these.
D
Both of these. That was super important with these guys. They were both. They came here in 2022. Released into the country.
A
Of course.
D
Final order. Have both done crimes. Final order of removal not removed. That is in a nutshell, what we're doing over and over. And that's the sort of operation the left is fanatical about. They are fanatical about preventing these people from leaving the country. Even if they assault people, even if they rob people, even if they kill people. Especially if they kill people.
A
They are coming down on the side. The political leaders in Oregon are coming down on the side of the gang bangers.
B
376 When a President endorses tearing families.
A
Apart and attempts to govern through fear and hate rather than shared values you foster an environment of lawlessness and recklessness. Ah. I literally. I can't. No. You are the political movement ideology that is fostering lawlessness. You're literally coming down on the side of a dude who runs a prostitution ring and somehow it's ISIS fault that they're trying to arrest these bad people and get them out of the country for the safety and lawfulness of your community. This is the same thing. They call Trump a dictator or a tyrant or whatever. And they think that that just, you know, completely absolves them of actually enforcing the law in their communities. 3:80 this is Keith Ellison echoing the same. You hear a similarity in the tone.380 this is a.
F
This is a. An aspiring fascist dictator tyrant trying to impose by force will and dominance on the population. That's what's happening. And the sooner we all wake up to it, the sooner we'll be able to be free of it.
A
Blake, what the heck has gotten into these? It's a freaking brain worm or something. A brain virus.
D
Well, I don't think it's a brain. I think this is.
A
It is.
D
Well it's just. It's a manifestation of the less values. The left is a force of entropy. The left is an anti civilizational chaos force. They want to. Ultimately they want to bring down The United States, they might not really fully think that out all the time, but their principles always militate towards this. They, this is what ultimately caused the Biden wave. The Biden wave was, it was almost an accident of left wing thought that at this point they cannot articulate any valid reason to keep any person out of the United States. They just can't. It doesn't work in their moral worldview. They view the United States as illegitimate as a country basically because it was wealthy and successful and because it was European. And so there's no valid reason for it to exist. Ergo anyone can come here and they can do whatever they want.
A
Yeah, it's a really like the more you listen to this and I've been studying, I've been spending a lot of time late at night, early in the morning, watching and reading a lot of these, you know, comments by like far left activist groups. These are the organizing groups that are, you know, putting on the protests, the mostly peaceful protest and you know, setting up their autonomous zone now in Minneapolis just like they had in Seattle. Chaz, now it's Maz. And they talk about a couple different things repeatedly. It's colonialism, it's native and indigenous people, people of color.
D
It's a big focus on delegitimizing white Western.
A
Yeah, white people. It is a anti white movement. And ultimate it comes down to this. They believe that the wealth, power and influence, whether that's militarily or economically, that has been amassed by European civilization over the last 2, 3, 400 years is illegitimate. They believe in a zero sum game. They believe that the west has become rich off the back of backs of people of color, slaves, indigenous people and stolen land.
D
This is how life is.
A
And they want to, they literally want to take it back. This is why when we talk about Seal Weaver yesterday, if you missed it, check it out. We talked about Sea of Weaver, the new tenants rights director or whatever from Donnie in New York City. And she is a white woman that is vehemently militarily opposed to property ownership. She is going in to destroy the tenants in New York City because she thinks that rent control and shared property is somehow the panacea of all the ills that that are in New York City. This is why people like Sea Weaver are such idiots. This is why Nancy Pelosi is an idiot. This is why Chuck Schumer's an idiot. This is why all of these people that are think that they can bend the knee, that they can kiss the ring and they can play along and somehow they'll be eaten last by this mob of hateful vigilantes, this clannish tribalist movement driven by vengeance, driven by jealousy, that they think that they're going to get ahead in this, that they can somehow make common cause with these people. You can't. They want you gone. They want to destroy the United States of America. You are standing in their way. We are standing in their way. And this is ultimately why the conservative movement in the United States must prevail, because we are the firewall for Western civilization. I really believe that Voter ID in California next. We'll be right back.

Welcome back to this Real America's Voice News break. I'm Terrence Bates. It has been a busy and a dangerous week for immigration agents as Wednesday's deadly shooting in Minneapolis was followed up by a double shooting in Portland on Thursday. Once again, a car was involved in this Portland situation and agents say the driver tried to run them over while speeding away from the scene. Once those agents approached the car, the Department of Homeland Security says the passenger was an illegal alien from Venezuela who's affiliated with the transnational Trend prostitution ring. While the duo initially got away from the agents, local police ultimately tracked them down in the nearby neighborhood. It's the latest black eye for Portland, which of course has had a contentious relationship with National Guardsmen and now federal agents who were deployed to that city under President Trump's immigration and law enforcement crackdown. Portland's mayor and the city council are calling on ICE to end all operations in the city until the full investigation is complete. At this point, it looks like the Portland Police Department will head up that investigation into the shooting. Meantime, it appears the FBI is now exclusively investigating Wednesday's deadly shooting in Minneapolis. The Minnesota Bureau of Criminal Apprehension claims that it had been conducting a joint investigation with the bureau, but the FBI, quote, reversed course and is no longer granting the BCA access to case materials, scene evidence or investigative materials and interviews. Local authorities say not having access to all of the evidence will make it difficult to complete a thorough and independent investigation. Thursday, Vice President J.D. vance also blasting the media for its coverage of the shooting, specifically the implication that the ICE agent involved wasn't justified in the shooting as this was an.
A
Attack on federal law enforcement, this was an attack on law and order. This was an attack on the American people. The way that the media by and large has reported this story has been an absolute disgrace and it puts our law enforcement officers at risk every single day.
F
We now also know that the ICE officer involved in this shooting was part of a specialized unit called the Enforcement and Removal Operations Special Response Team. That's a quick check of your headlines.
A
Fact first, America first. Welcome back to the Charlie Kirk show. All right. Welcome back to the Charlie Kirk show. Excited about our next guest here. Really important story that we haven't touched on yet on this show, but we have been keeping track of it since March of 2025. And that is, of course, about California's push for voter id. This is a ground up, grassroots led effort in the blue state of California and they have just surpassed 1 million signatures on the petition. They have surpassed the first benchmark to get it on the ballot in 2026. But they need more signatures. Here to help us unpack that story is Representative Ken Calvert from California's 41st congressional district. And after Prop 50, he is now going to be he's a candidate for California's 40th district. Welcome to the show. Representative Coward.
E
Thank you for having me.
A
Yeah. Honored to have you. Yeah, absolutely. So why don't you give our audience kind of a broad view of this effort. We know it's grassroots. Be honest, voter ID would not be coming from the top down in California. This is a bottom up, grassroots led movement and it's had tremendous success, Congressman.
E
Absolutely. After this last election, we lost two, two of our campaigns, one to up in Northern California. John Duarte lost by less than 200 votes. And then Michelle Steele, who lost by less than 700 votes. And we knew that we had a problem. You know, we're the wild west of election law here in California. Correct. Everything goes motor voter. We register everybody, including non citizens and people who should not be voting are voting in our elections. And we need to make sure that we get a voter ID law put on on the ballot. And let me tell you, the Orange County Lincoln Club, I got to give them a lot of credit. Carl DeMaio, who's doing a grassroots operation also, but the Orange County Link Club raised the first $1 million. All of us, you know, trying to raise money to do this, it's expensive. We've gotten a million signatures so far. We need 873,000 signatures verified. And there's a lot of shenanigans are probably going to take place. So we want to make sure we have well over that. So we're looking to get a million 200,000 signatures to make sure that this is on the ballot next November.
A
So to reiterate, you have a million. You just crossed the million mark. We need to get to 1.2 million signatures by March 15, correct?
E
That's correct. And we need to verify 873,000. So we want to be way over to make sure that there's no mistake that this is on the ballot in next. The next November election.
A
Yeah. Blake, did you have a question? I'm just.
D
I guess I was. I was thinking about a few things. The first thing that came to mind is this will probably be the first time in California history they'll really aggressively go through every name to see if they're a citizen.
A
Correct.
D
This person's in illegal. Yeah, you might see that. The other thing I wonder about, so obviously we support this. Obviously it will help. But as you mentioned, California, they have motor voter. California gives IDs to people who are illegals. They do a lot of bad things. They have very generous mail voting laws, very generous ballot harvesting laws. How much will this help? As long as all those other proposals are in play and is there any hope of maybe overturning those through initiatives or how should we look at it, big picture?
E
Well, you're right on all of that. This is the first step is to get this voter ID done. That's a big step. You're right. That's why we want to get a million 200,000 signatures to make sure that there's no question that we can verify 873,000 signatures to make sure this is on the ballot. It's not going to fix every problem, but it's a big step forward for the state of California. Trust me. I've seen this thing go south for a long, long time. So we have a chance finally to make an improvement in election law in California and clean up the voter rolls, which also is a problem. You're right about ballot harvesting in California. It's crazy and it's unfair. And we know that we've lost elections we shouldn't have lost. Probably at least two last election, probably three in my mind. I think Mike Garcia also was subject to that. But so we need to make sure that we get this passed next November. So we're going to try to raise the last part of it. California's for voter ID website is voter idcalifornia.org I would, you know, anything that people can do to help this out, get it over the finish line.
D
And I want to say for anyone watching this, we have a lot of California fans of this show. They would email in all the time to Charlie, Charlie, when will Turning Point save California? Charlie, get involved in the governor's race. Get involved in this race. We can turn it around. All of you people who email us had better have signed this petition, period. Go sign it right now.
A
If you haven't, we're calling you out. You can't sign it online, but you can go to that URL if you live in the state of California and you can request a signature form. So, so do it right now. You have till March 15, but it's gonna take time for them to send it to you, for you to fill it out, get it back. So go to voteridca.org right now if you don't live in the state of California, chip in. They need to raise, I think, another million, million and a half to get this over the finish line. But this is, this is really a huge, huge step in the right direction. I was just talking with one of our mutual friends, Congressman Teresa Hernandez, down in at the Lincoln Club there.
E
Yeah.
A
And she owns, she owns a Mexican restaurant and she was saying that during when the raids were happening from ICE, she said she lost about 50% of her business because in her theory was, is that, you know, the Hispanic population, even if they had green cards, we're not coming out out of fear right now. You and I know that that's ridiculous. But if you find yourself getting to November of 2026 and you haven't had any problems with ICE or Customs and Border Patrol, you think you're going to risk the voter ID portion of this to cheat an election Even if they're offering you 100 bucks or gift cards to this or that, I have to believe that this is going to clean up a huge, huge percentage of the problem. And listen, this is becoming an issue front and center. President Trump is now truth socialing about it. He says he's personally going to be running an effort to get this across the finish line. Here's just a smattering of some of what Elon Musk has been saying lately. 354. This tweet that he put up, no ID and mail in ballots make fraud trivial. Both of those need to be fixed to restore democracy. 355. Voter ID is essential to stop widespread fraud. 356. America should not have worse voter ID requirements than every democratic country on earth. California, New York actually banned use of voter ID. People are contesting that. But it's essentially true. It is illegal to show your ID in those states. The only reason to do this is fraud. I completely agree and I want to give a little shout out to Chef Gruel down there. Also a Huntington beach represent resident speaking at the Huntington Beach City Council. 353.
D
You go to the DMV and you get a driver's license or an ID. You register to vote. You do not need any citizenship to do that. That when you get any benefits in the state of California, they send you a voter registration card. You do not need to show any ID or proof of citizenship to do that. Then you're on the voter rolls. Those voter rolls, they keep adding people on over and over and over again. And Nobody's cross referencing IDs on those voter rolls.
B
So when you talk to Bob Page.
D
On a local level or any local, any local registrar of voters, they're going to say, well, yeah, we've got a really great operation on site. We're just taking what Sacramento gives us in regards to the rules. We can't ask for ID on site or we can't cross reference id. So the problem isn't ours anymore. Right. It's that diffusion of responsibility. It is 100% fact that you do not need to prove any citizenship to get voter registration in California.
A
Yeah, I mean it's become so extreme, Congressman, that, that, you know, these election workers are. They won't even ask for it. And so the next question is, what happens? You know, first question is, is the polling showing that this would actually pass if it passes? What sort of enforcement mechanisms at the polling centers are in place to make sure that election workers are doing their job and checking IDs right.
E
Well, the polling is off the charts. Even a majority of Democrats are in favor of voter ID. Republicans obviously, great numbers, 90%, the independent, 70%. It's like 70% overall are in favor of voter ID here in California. So we're going to pass this. We're going to get it on the ballot. We'll pass it. Secretary of State obviously is in charge of voter laws in the state of California. We need a new Secretary of State. We've got a gentleman named Don Wagner, Republican, running for that. I encourage everybody to look him up and support him. I think California is coming to a point where we're going to turn this state around. Look, there's more Republicans in California than there is in any other state in the Union. People forget that because of what's happened in California over the last number of years. But we're a big state, 40 million people. It's a wealthy state. We're number one in many, many industries. People who live here don't deserve to have a government. We have and so it will be enforced. We did this in Florida and Florida turned the political system around. I think a lot of it was because they have a much more efficient voter system than we do. And then we need to have the same kind of system that a state like Florida has.
A
Yeah. And that's what I've been told is that this law is being written to emulate Florida's voter ID law, which you know, is the standard bearer in the country. And it's great to know. I'm told there's tip lines. If local election workers are not enforcing the law, not checking IDs, you can actually, part of this bill will actually include an enforcement mechanism like that where they can call in and I just want to give you some, your just desserts here. Congressman, you are the, I think the highest ranking, forgive me if I'm wrong, but you're now the highest ranking Republican in Congress. Or maybe since we're in the majority, you're the highest ranking congressman from California that we have in the, in the House. So. And you are now running for reelection after Prop 50 in now the new district of District 41. Correct. Tell us how people can support what you've been doing. You've been in the state since 93. People you know, need, need to give you your, your just desserts there, sir. Yeah, yeah.
E
This new district is district 40. They took 40 district. I had stuck it in downtown LA, so get rid of me once and for all, I guess. But that's not going to work. We're running a strong campaign. 70% of this district is in what I represent now and what I've represented in just a few years ago. So we feel good about it. It's, it's difficult because they combined Republicans together because of this Prop 50. I did everything we could to defeat it, but we weren't able to for a number of reasons. But that's why we need to change how we do business in this state. That's why we need voter id. And it was mentioned some other things that we need to do in the future to clean up the voter rolls to, to get this ballot harvesting fiasco.
A
Yeah.
E
Well behind us a number of things and you know, because we would have won. Look, we'd have five more Republicans right now in the state if it wasn't for this crap.
A
Yeah. So put up that URL one more time guys for where people can get involved, pitch in, donate or request a petition. Voter idca.org we need to get it over the finish line. Congressman, everybody I talked to said you've been masterful behind the scenes. So thank you for your contribution your nation. Thanks.
E
I'm happy to help and thank you for having me on your program today.
A
God bless you, sir. We'll be right back. Foreign.

You'd see some immediately immediate improvement, and it's the first step in a road to getting that state back. So please pitch in. Voter idca.org we're gonna pivot and turn our attention to Iran. Blake, why don't you give us the update on where we.
D
Of course.
A
Well, so.
D
So we haven't talked about it at all. I think probably the funniest thing about this is we're having. We've had major protests in Iran about a week now, and it's struggled to be above the number three story in the US if that Venezuela's taken precedence, the stuff in Minneapolis has taken precedence, and so on. But we've gotten emails asking us to weigh in on it, and I think Charlie would definitely be weighing in on it.
A
So.
D
There'S been a spate of major demonstrations against the mullahs, as you might hear them called on tv. Iranian, ordinary Iranians protesting in Tehran. In a lot of secondary cities, there's a lot of various reports on the ground that they've, you know, they've set government buildings on fire, they've supposedly taken control of large cities. It goes back and forth on how accurate all of that is. But what does seem to be true is the regime is now trying to black out a lot of communications. They're targeting the Internet, they're targeting other means of communication to limit people's ability to know what's going on and to try to keep control of the situation. Notably, a week ago, President Trump said.
A
On truth social that image360.
D
Yes. If Iran shots and violently kills peaceful protesters, which is their custom, the United States of America will come to their rescue. We are locked and loaded and ready to go. Thank you for your attention to this matter. And I'm seeing more of that. You're seeing some of that agitation, that the US should be ready to get involved. The son of the previous Shah, Reza Pahlavi, he desires to take power in the country. And he's been saying America should be ready to get involved. Obviously, people would ask us what Charlie would make of this. I think Charlie would still be skeptical of getting involved. He was very, very wary of the Iran war crisis we had this past summer. He was very happy that it was ultimately resolved with one bombing run, nothing else. I think he. He Very much likes. He likes it us not to get involved. And if we do get involved, it's the lightest touch possible. You know, this quick in one strike and it's over. I think he would have liked the Venezuela raid for that same reason. It was one raid and it's over. That's what I think his impulse would have been.
A
Yeah. And again, going back one step. So this started. Apparently there's been a dramatic collapse of the Iranian currency. The real soaring inflation. So 40 to 50% in recent months, which. Which, you know, this country is still an upheaval from 20% over four years. With Joe Biden, imagine 40 to 50% in recent months, rising cost of living. This quickly devolved into a broader political movement, including calls for regime change, greater freedoms, anti government slogans. And this is, I guess, how many.
D
How many. How many reals do you think you need to have one United States dollar?
A
No, man. I feel like a thousand.
D
994,000.
A
No. Geez. Wow. I was off by a magnitude.
D
You're off by literally. What is that, two, three orders of magnitude.
A
Yeah. That's huge. Okay. So, you know, protests are chanted against the ruling theocracy. This reminds me of, like, when you look back at those images of Iran in the 70s, before the Shah was kicked out, that. But, you know, it looks almost like a Western nation. Right. And, you know, I used to live in Southern California. A lot of Iranians, Persian community down there are very, you know, enterprising people, very productive people. Very. Almost Western. Yes. They're. They're Muslim, but it's. It's a different variety, right? The. The. It's not. It's the Shia Muslim as opposed to the Sunni. It's a. It's a different kind of Islam that they. That they seem culturally to practice. But, you know, this is what's interesting. The Shah, the sun's the son of the last shah, which is Reza Pahlavi. He's making actual. So one hour ago, he's saying, this is an urgent and immediate call for your attention. This is image 364, if you want to put it up there. Last night, you saw millions of brave Iranians in the streets facing down live bullets. Today, they are facing not just bullets, but total communication blackout. No Internet, no landlines. So one of the struggles that we're having here, Blake, is that we can't even get communications out of Iran, really. It's very limited, and we don't know what's AI, what's not. There was a building burning last night. Yeah. It's like a government building.
D
If there is a deep fake of a government, of a building on fire, it's not super obvious immediately if it's not true because they don't have a robust media. Like we could kind of tell if something is fake because. Yeah, yeah, everyone see it. Iran, who knows?
A
Yeah. And we're going to cover this, by the way. We're going to have a guest on, on Monday. I've been working behind the scenes to get a, a really good expert on this story on Monday. But this is what he goes on. Khomeini, fearing the end of his criminal regime at the hands of the people with the help of your powerful promise. He's speaking to President Trump to support the protesters, has threatened the people on the streets with a brutal crackdown. Now there's reports of at least 50 people have been killed in these skirmishes with, you know, I suppose the regime's muscle clashing with protesters on the streets has threatened people on the streets with brutal crackdown. He wants to use this blackout to murder these young heroes. So this has been a very youth oriented movement. A lot of students, a lot of merchants that have been struggling under this. Merchants, merchants, merchants.
D
We always say, like it's the Middle Ages.
A
Yeah.
D
These are business people, these traders, they're camel carry.
A
Probably, probably like smaller businesses though, right? Like the people that are actually trying to make a living in Iran. I've called on the people, called the people to the streets to fight for their freedom and to overwhelm the security forces with sheer numbers. Last night they did that. Your threat to this criminal regime has also kept the regime's thugs at bay. But time is of the essence, that people will be on the streets again in an hour. I'm asking you to help. You have proven, and I know you are a man of peace and a man of your word. Please be prepared to intervene to help the people of Iran. Now, I don't know what he's calling for. I mean, military intervention.
D
Last time we did this, it was like Libya.
A
And listen, if there's a way for President Trump, even morally, to support the people of Iran to rise up and take over their own country, I'm all for it. I. To your point, I do not want to invite a reason for optimism.
D
As you say, Iran, is it long. It's long been a major civilization. It's a relatively, it is a, it was a relatively more modern Middle Eastern country before the revolution. They have, they're very talented people. This is not like intervening in Central Africa or something where it's just been backwards for a long time and it's not likely to go well. Iran is. It is a country that is already in a lot of places quite secular on the ground. You can meet Iranians who are from that country and they'll often say, yeah, a lot of people don't take Islam terribly seriously. I'd say it's a lot less other than the regime itself. It's a lot less robust than it might be in Egypt or in Iraq or certainly in Afghanistan. So if you do topple the regime, I think you're very likely to get a secular, friendly government battle. But people would always ask, you know, what would Charlie make of this? And I think I would share with him. You get talked into these interventions by being told it'll be easy and smooth. And it never and it never is.

Terrence Bates here with your Real America's Voice News break. We appreciate you being here with us. It appears the FBI is now exclusively investigating Wednesday's deadly shooting in Minneapolis. The Minnesota Bureau of Criminal Apprehension claims that it had been conducting a joint investigation with the bureau, but the FBA quote reversed course and is no longer granting the BCA access to the case materials, scene evidence or investigative interviews. Local authorities say not having access to all of the evidence will make it more difficult to complete a full and an independent investigation. Thursday, Vice President J.D. vance blasted the media for its coverage of the shooting, specifically the implication that the ICE agent involved wasn't justified in his actions.
A
This was an attack on federal law enforcement. This was an attack on law and order. This was an attack on the American people. The way that the media by and large has reported this story has been an absolute disgrace and it puts our law enforcement enforcement officers at risk every single day.
F
We now also know that the ICE officer involved in this shooting was part of a specialized unit called the Enforcement and Removal Operations Special Response Team. It's a specially trained tactical group within ice. While much of the focus is on that deadly shooting in Minneapolis, Treasury Secretary Scott Bessant is in Twin Cities right now helping to clean up the fraud that led and contributed to the increased ICE presence in that city. Minneapolis police made headlines last month amid allegations of massive pandemic error, money laundering and fraud linked to the city's Somali community. Now the Trump administration is ready to crack down.
A
I am pleased to announce that IRS.
D
Civil enforcement is auditing financial institutions that facilitated the laundering of Minnesota funds. In addition to helping support criminal and.
A
Civil enforcement efforts, the IRS will also soon announce the formation of a task force to investigate any fraud and abuse involving pandemic era tax incentives and misuse of 501 tax exempt status by entities implicated in the Minnesota based social media services fraud schemes.
F
And while the Treasury Secretary is taking the administration's message to Minnesota, the Secretary of War is taking his message to California. Real America's Voice Congressional correspondent Benny Ray Harmony is embedded with the Secretary of War, Pete Hegseth.
C
Good afternoon, Terrence. We are wrapping up our final day here in California with Secretary of War Pete Hegseth. Now yesterday we visited Divergent Technologies where they manufacture and do a lot of 3D printing for a lot of the missiles and a lot of the big machines that our warfighters use, they 3D print some of those materials and they are made right here in the United States. And now that is the biggest thing about this tour, the Arsenal of Freedom tour is to put a focus on American manufacturing, put a focus on strengthening our warfighters and strengthening the resources that they have have. Now today we are about to depart to head to Castilian and in that place they create hypersonic missiles. So that is going to be very interesting to learn a little bit more about the in depth process of that as well. After that we will be heading to Rocket Lab. Now Rocket Lab uses they, they use a lot of technology to send up satellites into space. They are technically sort of of space force entity. And this is a really good one, this rocket lab, because we just saw with the attack in Venezuela, I've mentioned this many times since we've been here, that that strike and the capture of Venezuela, it was only possible due to those things that we have in space. Those satellites that were able to knock out the grid and make Venezuela go dark. Now it is, it is crucial that we have air, land, land, sea as well as space. So we will be bringing you guys some more information today as we are visiting these different locations. So stay tuned. But just overall terrific and just strengthening the defense industrial base that is the number one priority of the War Department. Send it back to you.
F
And speaking of space, a medical issue on board the International Space Station is forcing NASA to cut the current mission there short. In fact, we're hearing that there's no specific information on what's going on with that particular astronaut. But the US Japanese and Russian foursome that's at the ISS is expected home here in the coming days. That's a quick check of your headlines.

All right, welcome back. Charlie Kirk Show Hour two. We are taking your questions. This is Ask Us Anything Hour Friday Hour two. If you want to participate in this hour of the show, go to members Charlie Kirk.com members. Charlie Kirk.com Become a subscribing Member of the show. You guys are the lifeblood of the Charlie Kirk Show. Always have been, always will be. We want to hear from you and get your questions. This is the hour to do it. By the way, right before we get into questions, there is a new angle of the shooting in Minneapolis. Alpha News, we had Liz Colin on the show on Monday. So Alpha News, they got a new. A new angle of that. We're going to pull that up in just a second. Team is working on it. It's very clear in this angle, apparently that he was. Was the ICE agent was hit by the Honda Pilot. So that is a new development. We'll get that in just a second. We're going to start this hour again. Members.charliekirk.com with Anthony. Anthony, please unmute yourself. What's your question? Hey, guys. Happy New Year. Happy New Year. So my question is this. So we see all these ICE raids and, you know, going on in Minneapolis, New York, all across the country, and we see all the protesters and we see how local and state and even federal Democrat politicians are talking. Like we hear the mayor and the governor of Minnesota, Minneapolis say, you must protest whatever and cause problems. Is there any Democrat at federal, state or local levels that may say, hey, we need to start coming to our senses and we might have to rethink this whole protesting in this because it's now it's starting to get out of hand. It. Is there any Democrat politician willing to do that or are they all just scared spineless communists?
D
Fetterman, I guess.
A
Yeah, I was gonna. That was my. My mind went to Fetterman. I. I feel like he's the only.
B
One that really is.
A
He's the only one that says it. But that's why I don't want to say just him. Is there anybody else? What's interesting one.
D
Maybe there's a recent one. What stood out to me was the right. Like you always have these dynamics after an election. They lost bad last year. You had this almost abortive move towards. Guys, we may have let this get out of control. We need to go another direction, I think. Was it Seth Molten who had that.
A
Yes. Yeah.
D
Where he was trying to get them to back off on the trans issue and they just, they just lit him up about it. And I think you saw Gavin Newsome was starting to take gestures in that direction in his interview with Charlie and they blew up at him really badly. And I don't think he's gone further on that on that one either. But certainly on this anti ICE radicalism. I I really only see a one way ratchet about this, at least from lawmakers. And I don't know how much of that is deliberate recklessness or deliberate extremism and how much of that is they're just afraid of getting lit up themselves or they don't even fully realize what they're doing. Like, like Tim Walls as an example. Tim Walls is just stupid. Tim Walls is dumb. And so when Walls says we're at war with the federal government, I saw that getting shared yesterday. I don't think he was literally doing a whole secessionist. I'm going to go with the war of federal government. I think he was just using dumb words because he doesn't recognize the sort of situation he's in.
A
Yeah. And the, the implication of saying something like we're at war. I kind of interpreted that clip the same way. I will say, you know, to Blake's point, there was this debate of which way the Democrat Party was going to turn. Were they going to be moderating their positions or were they going to be radicalizing their positions? And it's very clear a year into the President, President Trump's second term that they are radicalizing their positions at every turn and that the far left flank of the Democrat Party controls that party. That's why Mamdani is ascendant. That's why you see Democrat socialist mayors in Seattle, Chicago, New York. So for all intents and purposes, Jacob Frey is also one of these people in Minneapolis.
E
Right.
A
And they are controlling the party. And if you step out of line, you're going to take a lot of guff. And I will say, you know, when John Fetterman started speaking sense, which was one of the largest ironies of recent.
D
It made me a little uncomfortable because you don't want that sense. Like, ah, did he did like the brain damage from his stroke make him more conservative.
A
Exactly right. You want brain damage to make you dumb or not. Not smarter. But in his case, I like to think of it as he was healing. He, he became more sensible. So. But the point is, John Fetterman, a bunch of his staff left a bunch of, I mean, he took a lot of internal pushback that you don't hear a lot about, but he kind of just took it on the chin and kept going forward. So kudos to him. And he's the last sort of prominent sensible Democrat out there that is socially, I would say probably, you know, left, I think economically left. But he's still a patriot. And I think that's the dividing line. And we've Said it on the show before that you're either a movement that loves the country, loves what it was founded on, loves our heritage, loves our culture, and has pride in it, or you are somebody that ultimately thinks America is somewhat illegitimate or all the way illegitimate, or it's all the way systemically racist and bigoted and oppressive. You know, that is the dividing line. It's really. Some of the. Some of the people that you would consider conservative now aren't really even conservative. They are sort of just, you know, not woke, I guess they're Team Sanity. They believe in civilization still. They believe in law and order. And that's about the dividing line.
D
It's a thing that is. Frankly, it's made it tough to always articulate a conservative agenda on things because it often is just defined by people who don't like the left, at least in America.
A
Yeah.
D
And also, I'll be frank, I would talk to Charlie about this. Sometimes the issue the right has is there's sort of low self esteem, if. If that makes sense. I don't know what the right term for it would be, but they are very eager to welcome people into their coalition, like if a celebrity shouts us out, that sort of thing. And that can actually, it can make it a little too easy for you to get taken over by. By newcomers, More or less.
A
Yeah. I mean, listen, I think it's great to welcome newcomers, but you shouldn't have them, you know, teach in the class. Right. They should be. They should be amongst the pupils in the, in the, in the, in the desks, not at the front of the classroom. So I think that's the dividing line. You just have to make sure that the people that are leading your movement have actually been tried, tested and found true, real believers. Right. So, Anthony, I don't know if that answers your question, but it does. It does appear to be, you know, the fact that we can't think of anybody. Probably not a good sign. No, I don't know. No, I agree. And I couldn't think of anybody in it just because, I'll be honest, there was a protest at the border patrol in a town or two over from me and last night, so.
B
Yeah.
A
Where are you based? Rochester, New York, is the location. Yeah. All right. Yeah. It's interesting because, you know, the far left of the Democrat Party is definitely in control and I don't really see. Right. You know, it's funny, I got into a little bit of a Twitter debate with somebody that was like, you know, far left and Democrats are two different things. And it's like, okay, I guess, but you know, who's really wielding the power. I'm not sure how true that is anymore. But anyways, we thank you as always, Anthony. Great to hear from you. We've got Ian. Ian, unmute yourself. You are up next on the Charlie Kirk Show. What's your question? Hi, guys. How you doing? Doing well, thank you. How about yourself? I'm doing well, thank you for asking. I was down at amfest, so it was great seeing you guys again. Awesome break. Yeah. My question is how do we address the difference of perspective on this Minnesota woman being shot? I just feel like both sides are seeing kind of what they want to see to an extent. I think there is an objective truth on what happened, but it's causing so much division. How can we as a country come together and move forward? Because I don't want this to become another George Floyd incident. And if we could also touch on the difference of reactions from Charlie Kirk's assassination recently to this Minnesota woman, you know, they're not holding a prayer vigil and, you know, coming together. So that's just my two cents on it. Yeah, well. And Anthony, I love the question and because you're giving me the the opportunity, I want to play this new angle. I have not seen it yet. This is 386. A new angle. I believe it's the police body cam.
D
Or the cell phone footage on Alpha.
A
News, but it does.
D
It looks like it. Body cam footage, 386.
A
It's a 45 second clip which will take us right up to the break. But Ian, we'll keep with you here, so don't go anywhere. 386.
B
Mad a boy.
C
Show your face. I'm not mad at.
E
That's okay.
C
We don't change our plates every morning.
A
Just so you know, it'll be the.
C

All right. Welcome back to the Charlie Kirk Show. Did you know that private student loan debt totals about $300 billion and about 45 billion of that is labeled as distress. Why refi refinances distressed or default to private student loans. And that's right that others will not touch. So if you find yourself in this position, we have a lot of students that watch this show and you have private student loan debt you're going to want to check out yrefi yrefy call them at 888 y refi 34. They are patriots, good people. You're not calling some faceless call center. You're going to call real people. 3 minute rate check with no rate impact will they will find out if they can help you. They're going to custom tailor a solution just for you. And that is really the key here. They're not going to just say here's your payment, good luck. They're going to look at your expenses, your income and they're going to match your ability to pay with with your monthly payment. They're to going going to guarantee interest rates under 6%. Hopefully those will even be coming down as interest rates go down. Inflation is doing great by the way. And did you see that that the Atlanta Federal Reserve board is predicting 5.4% GDP growth in Q4. We'll see. We'll see. I mean they, they, they notched it up but anyways. And by the way labor costs are going down with that which is a driver of inflation as well. So we'll see what happens there. Do you have a co borrower? Why refi can get them released from the loan. You can give mom and dad a break. You can even skip a payment every six months up to 12 times without penalty. Nobody else is going to do that for you. You don't have to ignore that mountain of student loan statements on your kitchen table anymore. Call 888Y, refi34 or yrefi.com check them out. All right, Ian, we're continuing with you. We played that image that were. That. That alternate angle. If you guys want to roll that as B roll while we're. We're talking about this. This. I. Here's my hope, Ian. I think politically, the left is captured by the activist base. I don't think there's any getting around that. Right. So politically, they all have to, you know, toe the party line and say, this is the Gestapo, this, the Nazis, and these are mass vigilante thugs, and they're illegitimate police. And they're not real. They're fake police like the Philly sheriff said. But I do believe that mass deportations are popular. I believe that enforcing immigration laws are popular. And I think that ultimately you just have to press through the activist class. You just have to bowl through this. You have to keep going, because this is a popular political movement. And, yeah, there's going to be protests, there's going to be uprisings. I don't think you can find political common cause with these people. You just have to tell them the way it's going to be. Civilization will win, law and order will win, and ultimately, you're gonna have to. You defeat them by winning. And I just think that it's gotten so hardened into our silos with the. With the activist base of the left that that's just the only way through. I like to believe that the. There is still a normal middle of this country that's more busy worried about the football game and about their golf outings on Saturday, and they kind of. They're kind of checked out of the normal back and forth, and they just know that, hey, we have laws. You got to follow them. So that's my take on it. That's my hope, is that we do have sort of still a rational center of the country. We. We last hour, we had Ken Calvert from California. You know, even in California, voter ID law, despite all the back and forth and the vitriol and the hyperbole from the left about it being racist or bigoted or whatever, is still 68 to 71% popular in the state of California. So go figure. I don't know, Blake, if you have anything you want to add to that.
D
Well, so the. Yeah, the question was, what can we do to bring the country together? And the truth is, there's not an easy answer to that, because the idea of a strong, united core in America has Been greatly diluted by a lot of changes in America, by demographic change. So there's not nearly the same sense of America as a shared country going back a great distance. A lot of people, if half the country doesn't even trace its heritage back to World War II, we could be at that point sooner rather than later. There's not that same sense of a shared society, and especially when there's been a long term political project to delegitimize the country itself and by extension, its people. So it's very common to just basically take an attitude of total hate and delegitimization to Americans who are in middle America, who are in the south, all of that. And it just. It's very hard to have something come together. And, you know, a lot of people have asked us to respond to that Jasmine Crockett tape where she was saying, oh, how did we react after Charlie's shooting? I know how they reacted. A guy on his balcony across the street from us played another One Bites the Dust while people were trying to pray. I don't know how you unite the country with people like that. The guy works for the aclu. And I think at some point you have to say, we have to make sure we stand for something. It has to be an appealing moral message to people, and you have to hope that you can win people over to that and that that can become a national core that people can unite around. I think that is what Charlie was fighting for. What Charlie was doing, he was planting the seeds for a future possibly decades hence. The seeds of patriotism, the seeds of Christian faith, something that could appeal to a large number of people, including young people. And you hope the strength of that moral message is something that will win the day. But. But very truthfully, I don't see an easy way to get unity with people who are saying, kill ICE officers. I don't see how you can easily have unity with people who celebrate the murder of Charlie. I don't see how you can easily have unity of people who say the United States is fundamentally an illegitimate country in society. And I know that's a tough answer to give, but it's what I'm feeling.
A
Yeah, no, I think you're right. I think I was really well said, Blake. And I've reflected a lot on what Charlie was actually doing, a lot. And what he. You're, I think, a thousand percent right. That he was actually selling an image of America and a vision of America that was palatable to the. To the broad core, to that 75% in the middle right, probably middle right. But there was a, there was a huge audience for this. And we saw it with the billions and billions of views he was, was reclaiming. It was like, so if you sort of think of what America is, it's an unbroken chain of generations that passes on the American dream, the belief in the experiment of America, the American republic from generation to generation. And Charlie noticed that the chain was getting broken with Gen Z, millennials and Gen Z. And he went out there and he put those chain links back together.
D
Yeah. Before we move on, I think we should actually, to get at the difficulty here, we should. A lot of people. This is going ultra viral. This clip. No, this clip of the woman who went to the Renee Good memorial but thought it was immoral. Let's play 382.
A
So I mean I'm just walking around kind of just dayside because I, I gotta, I was like, I don't know if it's the right thing to do.
D
It feels kind of wrong being here in some way.
A
I don't know why?
F
Why?
A
Why?
D
Yeah, I don't know.
A
I don't know. Like, I mean part of it is being like a white woman, that I'm privileged and I have a lot of privilege. So I feel like white tears are not always something that's helpful or necessary. When black and brown people have been experiencing this for a long time, this.
D
Isn'T new for them.
A
And so I don't know if that makes any sense.
D
It's very difficult to unite to achieve unity with a person whose thought process us is that cooked. And I feel bad for her because she's been taught to hate herself. She badly hates herself. She needs help, she needs love, frankly. But it is very difficult to.
A
It's the same thing where they say men can't have an opinion about abortion or whatever. It's like she's, she feels like her opinion is illegitimate. I mean it's a bad opinion but.
D
You know, it's her opinion's illegitimate age. But she'll still go on television, she'll get interviewed.
A
To that extent is truly, truly baffling. All right, more of ask us anything. Ian, I believe you have a follow up question that we have. David and Julia coming up next. Don't go anywhere.

Welcome back to this Real America. Welcome to America's Voice. NEWS BREAK I'm Terrence Bates. President Trump is continuing to crack down on drugs that are being brought into this country following missile attacks on suspected drug boats throughout the Caribbean. Most recently, the commander in chief ordered the capture of deposed Venezuelan President Nicolas Maduro, who remains in a U.S. jail at the moment along with his wife. Those moves have marked significant steps in the effort to rid the country of dangerous drugs. However, the commander in chief says he's ready to go even further.
A
We've knocked out 97% of the drugs coming in by water and we are going to start now hitting land with regard to the cartels. The cartels are running Mexico. It's very, very sad to watch and see what's happened to that country. But the cartels are running and they're killing 250, 300,000 people in our country every single year. The drugs, it's horrible. It's devastated families. You know, you lose a child or a parent, I mean, parents are dying too, with drugs. So we've done a really good job. We're knocking it down.
F
The numbers are really getting to be.
A
They'Re always going to be too high if you have one person, but they're going down.
F
And in other headlines, two people shot by ICE agents in Portland, Oregon, are recovering this morning. Thursday's shooting was the second ICE involved shooting in as many days. Agents say the driver drove away from those agents as they approached the car. So they fired. The Department of Homeland Security says the passenger in the car was an illegal alien from Venezuela who is affiliated with a transnational Trinidad prostitution ring. Local police eventually tracked the couple down in a nearby neighborhood. It appears the FBI is now exclusively investigating Wednesday's deadly ice involved shooting in Minneapolis. The Minnesota Bureau of Criminal Apprehension claims it had been conducting a joint investigation with the bureau. But the FBI, quote, reversed course and is no longer granting the BCA access to case materials, scene evidence or investigative interviews. Local authorities say not having access to all of the evidence will make it more difficult to complete a third thorough and an independent investigation. That's a quick check of your headlines. I'm Terence Bates.

F
Hey, how are we doing today?
A
Doing great, doing great, thanks.
D
What's the question?
A
My question is, first of all, I want to thank you for having Congressman.
E
Calper for coming on talking about voter id.
A
My second statement would be how do we get the rest of our, our.
F
Candidates front and center so we know right now who to vote for for, for the primaries because it seems like we're lacking.
A
Are you in California, David?
F
I'm in communist California.
A
Okay. So are you specifically asking how you can get your candidates front and center in California? California or yeah, probably in California.
E
Yeah, because you talked about, I heard.
A
You talked about that, you know, how.
F
Do we unite the people? Some of these people we can't unite.
A
Because they're not our clients. Sure, sure, sure, sure. So yeah, I mean, listen, I will say that, that you know, Congressman Calvert, he's probably going to be the congressman at, you know, in the 41st district, the new 41st district. And he's a guy that, you know, just has a great grassroots army behind him. He's been doing this since 1993 in the state of California. So he's probably going to win that, that race. He's going to be one of the few Republicans on a nationwide basis out of the, out of California that remain after Prop 50. So as far as you know, by the way, that people don't realize how expensive a petition drive of that magnitude is. It's about 7 million bucks so far. It's probably going to cost them close to about nine when they're all said and done just to get that very popular measure on the ballot in November 2026. And hopefully that does pass and they are able to withstand the negativity that's about to come their way when it.
D
Is now regarding the midterm candidates, one, you're just going to see a lot of them here because we obviously give we had Andy Biggs on as an example just the other day, but you'll see Monday. Gradually, we're just going to gradually escalate. How many of these people are wait, Jay. Feel like you see the is he quarterback?
A
Yeah, he was.
D
Or a kicker or something?
A
Yeah. So he's some sort of sports NFL guy. We're gonna ask him.
D
Man.
A
I'm gonna, I'm endorsed here in Arizona. That's another one.
D
No, that's awesome. But, and, but you'll see more of them. You're going to primarily see them, of course, in the races. We're most focused on Arizona because they're local, we can have them in. And it's the state we care most about, swing states, generally, the swing races, we're going to be very fixated on those. But we reach further afield, we'll probably end up talking to some, we'll probably end up talking to some of these Indiana Republicans. We're going to have to have unseating state lawmakers there. It's, you'll primarily see the races we're most involved in. But, but obviously we care about the races all over the country and we will be doing what we can to raise awareness for them. But you know, currently we haven't had primaries in most of the places.
A
Yeah, I was going to say that's when you're going to, you're going to see a lot of them. You stole my, my answer. The primary process 10 I mean, done best. It's supposed to be a sifting process. Right. But, but what ends up happening in a general sense is they spend more money, there's a lot more media spend, they raise money. You're going to hear about them more. They're going to be doing more media. So I mean, the go local GOP state GOP in California is a pretty Divided bunch. There's kind of the more moderate wing versus the more maga wing and it's, it's, it's a mess. I'm not going to lie. Especially in California, it's a bit of a mess. So you, you got to do your best and be a consumer of the information and be deliberate and then send us emails. Freedom Charlie Kirk dot com. We'll do our best to also listen to you, especially if you're a member. We, we see your emails come through all the time. Trust me. So hopefully it was helpful. But you know, the strength of the candidate has to shine through. They have to shine through. They have to cut through the noise that is the challenge of a candidate, especially in this media landscape. Julia, you're next here on the Charlie Kirk Show. Please unmute yourself. What is your question?
G
Hi, can you guys hear me?
D
Yes, we can.
A
Yay.
G
I'm so excited to be talking to you guys. Thank you so much.
A
Welcome, welcome. Thanks Julia, you.
G
So I wanted to ask you guys a question or two if there's extra time. But my first question is my family and I are from Canada, Communist Canada. And we ran from Canada in 2022. We were persecuted and we lost everything, jobs, schooling. We didn't comply. So we were the outcast of society and ran legally. We came to the US and I went to school for music and I graduated. I finished and now, now it's now, now what? How can I stay and contribute to this amazing country not get sent back to communism basically. So my question is what do you guys think about H1B visas? I had a company offer me one and I know that your show has talked about it a little bit. So what are your guys thoughts on that?
D
Well, so what we make of on H1BS as a national policy, we've been critical of it because it's very clear in our opinion that H1Bs have been used use. They've helped Deskill America. We've gotten companies addicted to an alternative way of getting workers. So they don't need to train Americans as much they can pay workers less. But obviously that's us talking on a national level. On an individual level we can tell you are a great.
A
We would like more people, we would.
D
Love to have people like you and we would much rather have an H1B job go to you than to someone who will, will be a parasite, who will be a future daycare welfare entrepreneur or something.
A
The leering center.
D
And so if you have that opportunity we would 100 encourage you to take it because That's. We have to always be reasonable. That. What. And, you know, an individual, good immigrant doesn't mean, oh, we should have open borders. And a person who you could make a good use of an H1B doesn't mean we should have H1BS as widely used as they are now or in the same way. But 100%, if you have a job that would require H1B is. Just because we are critical of that program doesn't mean you shouldn't take it.
A
Yeah. And take advantage of your legal opportunity to use an H1B. And yeah, obviously there's a difference between the macro and the micro. You're going to hear us criticize H1BS from a macro, but as a micro, you know, individual level, by all means pursue that. Go with God. But, yeah, I do hope the H1B program gets abolished entirely. I think it's. I think it's been, on the, The. On the whole, a very destructive policy for our country. What. What was your other question?
G
For sure. Thank you, guys. And by the way, I also agree with you. So I've been kind of like, figuring out what I need to do next. But my next question is I do want to get married, but. And I've met a lot of people in Canada and in the US I don't feel like I've missed my boat by any means. I'm very much with my family and the Lord with this, so I'm not afraid of anything like that. But a lot of the guys that I'm meeting at church down here, there's lots of guys, but they're very young and immature and they are not financially ready to have families and this kind of stuff. So I feel like as the days go by, more and more, I'm looking for someone older who's already financially stable, who I guess is just more mature than me, and I can look up to them, that kind of thing. So.
C
I know the picture.
G
Yeah.
A
How old are you and where do you live? Live?
G
I'm 24 and I'm in Houston, Texas, right now.
A
Okay, continue.
G
Okay.
A
24.
D
You haven't missed the boat. You're 24.
A
She said she didn't think she'd missed it.
D
Yeah, yeah.
G
No, I don't think I did. I just. I've met a lot of people, and I'm sure some people are like, what are you doing? But anyways, so, yeah, I've met a lot of people, and they're just. They're really young, and I just want to meet someone who I respect, who's older than me, who I can look up to and I trust that they can take care of a family. So do you guys think that women these days just have too high of a standard and like we're part of the problem or my, I'm being part of the problem by having too high of a standard or is my concerns right? If that makes sense.
D
I don't want to talk too at length about this because I am not married. But I would say, especially at your age, remember that marriage is not, you're not getting married to a finished product. You yourself are not a finished product.
A
Product.
D
An ideal marriage. You are growing together and you're spending your life together. So if there are men who are not financially ready yet, you should be able to use your mind and use a reasonable dating process to think, is this a person who will mature, who will grow into someone who can support a family and you can make that decision. Like if they're in school, are they studying a serious subject, are they getting a job that has long term potential? You know, you're in Houston, so. So a guy who's getting a job in the energy sector and he's getting a degree in petroleum engineering or in finance, that's very different from maybe a guy who's 24 and he just, he doesn't have a strong sense on what he wants out of life and you can tell he's not making long term plans. So I think you can look for those with younger men and then you can still have reasonable confidence, especially if you are a good partner who is supportive of that, they will grow into a strong person. I just throw that out there to say, don't be automatically dismissive of guys who are your own age just because they aren't worth $2 million and they don't own a house yet. And I, I've seen that. I guess like I said, I'm not married, but I've seen this in my own family. My sister got married while still in college. Obviously her husband was not wealthy yet or he's not wealthy now, but he was a serious person. He has a good job now and I'm confident they will be successful in the long term. He didn't need to already be super financially independent yet. That's what I'd say. But I should let Andrew talk about this because he's married.
A
As the married guy on this. No, I actually don't have a lot to add. I thought that was a lot of wisdom there. Blake. I. My wife and I got married when I didn't have two nickels to rub together. And it was the best decision I ever made. And I would also just say maybe it's tripe, but, you know, you should find somebody that you're attracted to and that you love and that you share values with. You know, my wife and I, from a faith perspective, shared our values. And, you know, we prayed together and we went to church together, and there wasn't, there was zero conflict on that. And the other thing is we just like to do the same things a lot of the time. You know, these are basic things that sometimes we can overthink. You know, do you like doing the same things? Do you like hanging out together? And I think you marry that with, you know, pun intended, with everything Blake said that. Are they a serious person? Do they have long term goals? Goals? Are they talented? Are they capable? Are they competent? You know, those people are gonna. Are going to ultimately succeed. Something's gonna break their way and opportunity is going to come up. So, you know, you gotta bet on somebody sometimes. And, you know, young love can be a really beautiful thing, especially when you have faith in common and values in common. So Godspeed. I'm sure it's gonna work out for you. Seem like a lovely lady and somebody's gonna be very, very lucky to snatch you up. So awesome.
G
Thank you.
A
Yeah, absolutely. Who's next? Who do we got here? Next. Is it Gigi? Gigi, please unmute yourself. What's your question? Gigi?
C
Hey, so I really heard a lot from Charlie about his stress of just classic literature and lots of good things for just consuming. And I think he really cared a lot about today, the problems that are just within storytelling, I guess, and just all entertainment culture and people are just always consuming poison and thinking it's just brown counties and stuff like that.
A
Yeah.
C
So I'm wondering what are just like the worst? Probably top three probably just specific problems within the entertainment culture today. And for context, I mean.
A
All right, one second.
D
No, we don't have a break. We're good.
A
Yeah, we do. We have a break here. We'll be right back.

A
All right, we just did that question.
D
On marriage and they just used you. Give Love a Bad Name Bumper music.
A
Is that for you? Who knows?
D
Who knows? Maybe I do.
A
So we're, we're talking about the arts and I guess film and creativity. And I really do believe, Gigi, that there is something about you have to know the truth in order to lead people to the truth. You have to be able to articulate with moral clarity. And this is one of the things that Charlie did so well. He had such moral clarity. It was things were not complicated for Charlie most of the time. And, you know, I would just say that, you know, you kind of have to marry a willingness to explore the frontiers of different ideas and be edgy while also knowing where you're leading people. And that's why conservatives sometimes struggle with bad art, and that's why liberals and progressives tend to make destructive art. And so the best forms and versions of that are with people with a moral clarity and a place where they're leading people to go. And I, you know, I would say look at the Bible. The best narratives in the history of the world have all come out of the Bible. The archetypes are biblical archetypes because they speak to something, you know, truly fundamental about the human experience. And so a lot of the best films and TV shows are essentially tracking on a character arc or a plot arc what biblical narratives have done, right? The Exodus story is one of those. The hero's journey is another one of those. And so these are the stories that animate the human soul. And I think you can use those as a foundation to then build other narratives off of. And I think most of the successful Oscar winners throughout the years, at least classically and traditionally, have been. And essentially it's just a biblical narrative that has been adapted to some other context.
D
Well done. I Think we have two questions still in queue. Let's get them. Let's get them through. Let's have. Christine, can you hear us? Unmute yourself.
C
Hi all. Thanks for having me on and thanks for all the amazing work you guys are doing.
A
Thank you. What's your question?
C
My question is I live in Oklahoma City. I'm a mom of three young kids and we just applied to two Christian Bible teaching schools for my oldest. And one of the things I remember Charlie talking about the most is how the greatest gift you can give a child is a Christian education from a Bible teaching school. And I think he went on to say, and to also know that there is a God and they are not it. And I think about that all the time when I'm racing raising my kids. But my question is the, the wait list for these schools that just outnumbers the amount of spots that they have. And so what can we do just as individuals or as a greater movement to ensure that every child, every parent who wants a Christian education for their child has the opportunity?
D
Well, the merciful thing we have is we do live in a relatively free country. So especially in your state, I have to imagine it's easier than in most.
A
Most.

If you wanted to start a new one. I'm not putting that on you to say you should start a school, but ideally, new schools do open to meet that demand because people do want these Bible, these Christian academies. The other alternative, of course, is there is homeschooling and such. I know that is also a lot to ask of somebody, but that has gotten easier than ever. I will say. Homeschooling 30 years ago was really challenging. You had to do it yourself in a lot of ways. And it was associated with weirder people not saying they are, but that was the association. Now way more people do it. There's endless resources online for every subject. So you don't need to be an expert on everything. There's Christian resources that you can use for every subject. You can have a Christian math textbook. A friend of mine used one for his kids.
A
Well, and could I just. Yeah, of course. We're running out of time. The. So I recently had to go through something similar because I had to move my family to Arizona. There was a wait list for the Christian school that we wanted to send our kids to. We toured like five or six of them. And, you know, we just went and met with the leadership of the school and, and, and met with some of the teachers and they actually made space for us. And so there's always that option you know, do a little old school politic and internally get, get, get in touch with them directly face to face conversations. Explain why you would be a value add to that community. Because schools want good people. They want good families, they want good parents. And so if they see in you the kind of people that they want populating the, their, their community and their student body, they're going to try and make space for you. They really will. And then on that note, it's already funny because there's been two offshoots from the school that we're now a part of, to Blake's point, that are starting their own. One wants to go more of a classical education direction. One wants to go a little bit more smaller school class sizes. So there's all these, these offshoots from the ones the school.
D
We really are, we complain a lot. We're blessed on the education front that public schools have gotten bad, but the actual options that are available to parents are better than ever. And in a lot of red states, you can now often. I don't know if, okay, I'm looking.
A
At it right now. Homeschool families qualify for a thousand bucks. You get credit amounts of 5,000 to 7,500 per eligible student based on tuition.
D
Fees, but also vouchers for private schools as well.
A
That's what it is.
D
Exactly. So, so our options are getting better and better. And so we wish you the best of luck with that. One last one, one last question here.
A
Yep. And we got Greg. Greg, please unmute yourself. Welcome to the Charlie Kirk Show. What's your question? We got two and a half minutes left. Okay. First you had a show that talked about a bill passed in 65 about limiting positions. I think Carmilla was the.
D
Oh, yeah, the, the data guy. Yeah, yeah, yeah.
A
Do you think, did you bring that up to the Trump administration to see if they could change that? Anyway, yes, actually, I, I actually connected him with some people that are working on healthcare stuff.
E
So.
D
Okay, he definitely has windows into the admin, so which is great.
A
That's, that's good. Also, you Talked about the 60 vote filibuster recently also. And I just saw Pete Ricketts from Nebraska, Republican, who said that that was part of the way the founder set it up to be.
E
And I was like, really?
A
These guys need an education. You guys need to get up to and get them right now. Ricketts, what did he say?
D
Apparently he said the founders wanted the filibuster to exist. No, he said, well, that this is.
A
These are rules that exist that basically Date back to, I think the 1912 or something.
D
Not even that. I think really modern filibuster as we know it is basically 40 years old.
A
Yeah. The concept of the filibuster evolved starting with a rule change in like the 1912. I looked it up the other day anyways, you know, and we, we've, we've actually been pushing Senator Lee's idea where you actually make them be on the floor. But apparently even then they could it that the way that that rule is, is. And I talked some to some other senators, is that it's just on a single issue of a bill. So you could invent infinity issues. Basically, it wouldn't fix the problem because you, you get through with one issue, they. They give up and then they go into the next issue and they, they do the whole process all over again. So, so it wouldn't fix the process. So you've got it. You got to sort of say the option that they're now looking at is maybe a limited nuking of the filibuster, but it's partial and it would only apply to funding bills. This is their new idea.
D
That's how it's really been, is so you used to have, you could filibuster Supreme Court nominees, they got rid of that. You could filibuster lower judicial nominees, they got rid of that. Now they'd be getting, getting it. They're clearly chipping away. I suspect eventually the filibuster is going to die and the matter is just who's going to do it and are they going to be able to get value out of doing it? And that's why we've always talked about that. Don't nuke the filibuster unless you will get something useful out of it.
