This week President Trump will give the State of the Union address. Always some sparks and should I say surprises. Hey, how about spectacles in the room, AOC and team, who knows what's going to happen. I'm sure the president's going to bring the heat too with a lot of takeaways as we look at celebrating America 250 and we move on toward the midterms this fall. Some huge issues to be sure on the docket, voter election fraud, ICE and deportation of those bad guys, terrorists, criminals that are roaming our streets. Hey, the economy, the Middle East, Israel, Iran and more. Thank God that ultimately he rules in the affairs of men and that we can look to God for wisdom and guidance in our everyday lives. In times like these, our hope, our strength comes from the Lord. Here's a great verse to hold onto this week. Colossians 4:6. Let your conversation be always full of grace seasoned with salt so that you may know how to answer everyone. I'm going to pray. We're going to get started. God be with us. Bless our time. Thank you for this privilege. Use it for your glory and lead us, God. We pray for our nation, God, our president and all those who are in authority. In Jesus name, Amen. Let's get started.

David Brody
Thanks, Tim. Glad to be here, David.
Dr. Tim Clinton
Going to be a wild week. President Trump got the State of the Union address coming up, some pretty big issues. I can only imagine what kind of a spectacle it's going to be inside that chamber on that night. But I'm sure the president's going to rise to the occasion and send a few messages.
David Brody
No doubt about it. It's always a spectacle with President Trump either way. But now you've got a confluence of a lot of different things going on. So for sure, it's going to be interesting inside the chamber. Look, here's the way I see the State of the Union. It's a reset. And what I mean by a reset, not because the president policies aren't working, but he has to reset it from a PR standp in front of the American people. And I think that's going to be crucial. And you know, we always talk about all of the issues that he's going to bring up. And yes, he's going to bring up, you know, 30, 40 different issues. But the one main issue we all know, let's say it together, right? The economy. It's the economy, stupid. As James Carville would say. I'm not calling you stupid, Tim. I just want to be very clear. But look, this White House understands that they can talk about PDF documents all they want. They can talk about all of the great numbers that they're seeing. And there have been a lot of great numbers. But until people actually feel it, and they're feeling at the gas pump for sure, but until they feel it going down that grocery aisle, then the tide will turn.
Dr. Tim Clinton
Interestingly enough, too, David, I can't wait to see what's going to happen in the chamber meeting. I don't know if they're dressing in white. They're going to grandstand, jump up and run down the hallways, do whatever. The radical Dems are pretty. Pretty. They're pretty insane, David. I mean, I just, it's hard to believe that actually happens at a State of the Union address.
David Brody
Yeah. I mean, where have we gone right in this country today? You know, there's going to be a theme. My guess is it'll have something to do with ice. I can see the ice cubes already on everybody's shirt. There's going to be something along those lines, Tim, for sure.
Dr. Tim Clinton
Yeah. Midterm elections, David. We all know that that's coming and it's on the the hearts and minds of everybody across the country because it's a throwdown, it's a play for control, being able to accomplish the agenda and so much more. David, some reflections or thoughts there. Typically, presidents don't do well in the midterm election. What are you expecting?
David Brody
I'm sensing that it's going to be that scenario again, but there's a caveat. I'll get to the caveat in a moment. But look, I think ultimately if you just look at the numbers, let's forget the politics for a second. Let's forget the economy and the whole situation just for a moment and just look at the actual races that are going on. There are obviously quite a few toss ups, but when it comes to toss ups on the Republican side, there are more toss up races that Republicans own right now on their side compared to Democrats. So 14 toss ups on the Republican side, only three on the Democrat side. So Republicans have more work to do to win those toss up races. So it's going to be a big time challenge. Obviously. Here's the the economy is the issue here. Here's the caveat everybody's talking about. Oh boy, the economy. If it doesn' well, there's a key word there. If it doesn't turn around. But let's talk, Tim. We can, we can definitely talk before this time, but let's talk July of 2026 and let's see where we are going into Q3, quarter three of this administration. Because at that point, that big beautiful bill that we've heard so much about, some of those, the energy, energy policy that we've already seen some fruition in there. I think you start to see some turning starting in July of 2026. I don't think it'll be too late at that point. I still be able to feel those effects. And if that happens, then all bets are off. Maybe they do keep the House. But right now, if I'm a betting man, and I'm not, but if I were, I wouldn't bet how do I say this, I wouldn't bet the House, so to speak. As a matter of fact, I bet against the Republicans keeping there's some work to do.
Dr. Tim Clinton
David, 100% for sure. Faith. Everybody knows that faith is back in America and something's happening. Bible sales are going crazy. Younger generations are showing up at church in the midst of it. David the President has widely embraced the faith community. Evangelicals in particular, they've had a pretty Strong voice. Will they play in this midterm election? Will they play a key role? I know that he declared May 17 as a rededication of the United States kind of day where he's going to bring faith leaders into Washington and more. We see now the America Praise movement is starting to happen. I saw where this week they're talking about America Reads the Bible. They're going to get a lot of celebrities coming back and faith again. Here it is front and center. Do you think the faith community will rise to the occasion? You know, the church has often been silent. There are some pastors who are becoming much more vocal. This is, this is president setting. Because at the end of the day, look at what's going on in Virginia right now. David, seriously, the play was a moderate play and then extremism to the nth degree starting on day one. It's unbelievable. It's unfolding right before our eyes. It's happening from gun rights to abortion to so much more. Your take on the faith factor.
David Brody
Well, I'm glad you brought up Virginia, because that's the playbook going forward for the Democrats. Go moderate in theory and go liberal and progressive in practice. And that's what's happening. I'm gonna be fully fr. Well, I'm fully frank with you for the whole interview, not just this portion, Tim, but do I think folks of faith, especially within the Christian denomination, if you will, which is the majority denomination in this country, will they rise up? I'm not convinced of it. I think that a lot of this is tied to President Trump, quite frankly. In other words, they like President Trump's policies. They like what he stands for, they like what he does in terms of putting the faith community first. The problem is he's not on the ballot. Now Susie Wiles and others want to put him on the ballot, which is kind, kind of a unique situation here. And I think they might get more. There may be more of a turnout because of that. But the truth of the matter is Trump is not on the ballot. And you know who is on the ballot? Quite a few Rhinos. A lot of establishment Republicans, a lot of elitist Republicans, a lot of uniparty Republicans. That's not going to get the job done in the faith community. So if this was a President Trump type of election, where he was on the ballot. Absolutely. The fact that he's not, I think that's the wild card, and I'm not convinced of it.
Dr. Tim Clinton
David, want to get your take on the transgender ideology issue?
David Brody
Yeah.
Dr. Tim Clinton
Governor of Kentucky came out some crazy position, trying to defend his posturing on transgender rights, you know, from the Bible. And it was like, where do you get that from? But anyway, we're also seeing kind of a rash of transgender violence happening. You know, the, the school shooting up in Canada last week. We had this hockey rink incident this week where this transgender dad kills the son and, and his wife and David. I mean, seriously, this is. Caught the attention of everybody. It's like the left seems to be embracing it right in the middle of it, and it's just like you can't even believe what's happening. It's like they're cascading off the cliff. I don't know what to make of it. What do you think?
David Brody
Well, it's a growing problem, clearly, with all of these shootings. The liberal media now with their new phrasing, if you've seen the New York Times and the Washington Post, the way they phrase it now regarding transgender shootings, they say they'll say a man or they'll say a woman, whatever the case may be, and then they'll say a person with two different names is what they're saying now.
Dr. Jerry Newcombe
That's.
David Brody
That's their new catchphrase to basically not label someone that's transgender that did the shooting, a transgender. They'll say two different names. Look, here's the thing, and I think this is going to get down to the crux of it, and you would know better than anybody regarding mental illness, but it is a mental illness. And here is the thing, Tim. When we say the words mental illness, everybody thinks, wow, that just horrible person, they have no compassion for. No, no, no, no. The words mental illness is meant with compassion for that person. In other words, first of all, number one, they need Jesus. And then after that, they need help, they need psychological help. But that's not. That's not an insult. That is a big time form of compassion. And I think we, as Christians, we get labeled by the other side, if you will, by saying, oh, you just called someone a mental illness. What about. Or having a mental illness? What about their truth? Hey, look, there's only one truth, and it's found in the Bible and it means two genders only. And the fact that someone thinks they have 64 genders or three genders or nine genders or. Or one day it's one gender and the next day it's seven. That's a mental illness. But we want to call it out. But we want to do so with love.
Dr. Tim Clinton
Yeah, we want to love everyone, but we don't want to weaponize empathy. We need to speak truth in love because truth in love is loving. That's what it's all about. David, we've got a lot of conversations that we need to have here down the road, especially as we go to celebrate America 250. Always great to have you. Thank you for joining me.
David Brody
Thanks Tim. Always a pleasure.
Dr. Tim Clinton
Coming up next, he is the Vice President of Government Relations for City Serve International. Todd Lamphere is with us. Do people ever come to you asking for help? Maybe hope?

Join us now is Todd Lamphere. Todd serves as Senior Vice President of City Serve, a global Christian humanitarian aid organization. He also serves on the Executive committee of the National Faith Advisory Board. Todd, welcome back. Thank you for joining me.
Todd Lamphere
Thank you, Tim.
Dr. Tim Clinton
Todd, you've got quite a history. You spent a lot of time at the Border through the years, Todd, you've taken many pastors there, you've worked with a lot of organizations about helping out people and those who served there, etc. But Todd, just some reflections on what you have seen through the years where you think we're at, especially as we're dealing with these deportations and the challenges surrounding ice and so much more.
Todd Lamphere
Well, we have taken over 500 pastures on the border, just you know, be boots on the ground, meeting with border Patrol, seeing who they are and getting to know their DNA, their ethos. And I can tell you this, having been involved with that first what I call Soros backed wave of, of migrants coming across. Yes to, to where we're at today. You know, it's, it's the tale of two administrations as it relates to the border under President Trump. The, it, it came to a trickle and then open borders with, with Biden and now back to a trickle again. And so the, the issue here now from Trump one administration and Trump two administration is that he had to first of all spend a lot of time stopping the flow coming in. He's done that here with the wall, with, with the Border Patrol. They're doing a phenomenal job. But it's the deportations now that are really taking place. This is what he campaigned on and this is what quite frankly the American people want. They want those who have been illegal or came over illegally and have a criminal record, they have absolutely no, a positive influence on our society to have them deported and you know, up to this point, 2 million self deported because they knew that this President meant what he said and said what he meant. But what it's done for our, our agents is, is almost, it's morally criminal. What we're doing to our ICE agents and Border Patrol agents who have left securing our border are now in the Twin Cities, in Minneapolis and places like that just to, to be spit upon, to be verbally assaulted and in, in, in, in many instances physically assaulted. So you take a look. Let me give you two cities, let me give you Miami. Okay. And let me give you Minneapolis. Miami only has 200 ICE agents. In Indianapolis has in the Twin City has over a thousand agents. There are more arrests that have taken place in Miami with the 200 agents than have happened with the thousand agents in, in Minneapolis, in the Twin Cities. Well, and by the way, have you heard of any problems, any protest, anything happening in Miami? Although they've had more arrests?
Dr. Jerry Newcombe
Yeah.
Todd Lamphere
So what does it come down to? What's the X factor? What is it? It's the Leadership in that. In those cities. One, Miami, for instance, the. The local law enforcement are working hand in hand with ICE to deport the bad element in their city. Mayor Fry and Governor Walt have done just the opposite. And now we're seeing what happens when law enforcement doesn't work together.
Dr. Tim Clinton
Yeah, Todd, at the end of the day, bad guys. This is what this is all about, getting the bad guys out of here. We're talking about criminals, people who are really in this country and they're committing crimes. And Todd, they just want to get rid of them, get them out of here, because they don't. They shouldn't be here. But there's a propaganda war going on. People are talking about ice, basically, and painting them as the bad guys. I saw where the governor of New York this week, she falsely claimed that ICE was kidnapping and detaining children and wanted to know if parents were okay with it. Here's what she said. As a mom, I can't pretend this is normal. ICE is snatching children off the streets and putting them behind barbed wire. What parent in America thinks this is okay? You know, at the same time, Vice President J.D. vance, I mean, he was punching back hard last week, coming at Newsom and others saying, you can't be saying that stuff about ICE agents, etc. You know, that. I mean, if there's anything un American, it's that kind of stuff. This is a propaganda war, emotionalism and ruling up on social media. Talk. Talk to us about what you saw come across the border. Are there really terrorists on this soil? We all know this stuff is true. And are we getting the bad guys out of here? That's what this is all about, right?
Todd Lamphere
Absolutely. I mean, this is the ideological war, and quite frankly, we're losing it. And the messaging that's going out from legacy media, your. Your mayors that are in, in, in. They have sanctuary cities, your governors that are. That have no regard for the law. What they're doing and what. What Hochul did, uh, in. In, uh, in Michigan and what's being done in New York with the. The governor, uh, it is morally criminal and may actually be, uh, uh, criminal actions, what they're doing. You wonder why is it that the ICE agents are. Are covering their faces? Because they're getting doxed, their children are getting doxxed, their. Their wives are getting harassed. You saw what happened in the church service. When that type of talk happens, Tim, it emboldens the vigilante ethos in a person, and to the point where they'll walk into a church and actually Give verbal assaults to the pastor, to the people. It is absolutely unheard of. And this is, this must stop and we must get vocal about it. So I'm glad you're, you're actually bringing this up, Todd.
Dr. Tim Clinton
Also this waste, fraud and abuse issue, you're seeing more and more stories pop about, pop up about taxpayer money being used for insane reasons. You know that from Minnesota they're saying to California, New York, etc. I mean, it's just like there's a lot more to come out. And I'm just like, can you believe that this kind of stuff is going on? Then throw on top of, of it the whole issue of safe elections, save elections, save America. Why? Because there's all kinds of horrible activity going on when it comes to voting and voting people into office. Todd, this stuff has got to be dealt with. At the end of the day, thank God it's being uncovered. But it also creates a lot of insanity in the hearts and minds of people. Eventually it's like overload, dosing overload and you get tired of it and you want to shut it off. I talked to someone this week, they said I've got to just turn everything off. I can't handle it anymore because it's making me wild in my own heart and mind. Todd, how do we manage the road forward here? Because we've got to, quote, stay the course if you will, and bring integrity and character back to our nation.
Todd Lamphere
You know, Hosea4.6 said that my people are destroyed for lack of knowledge. And this is the one thing that we've got to do. What your show is doing and what others are doing is bringing information, right? Information to people. This is not the time for believers, followers of Christ to stick their head in the sand and just say, I can't take it anymore. The reality is this is a time for us to put on our boots, get our marching orders and be vocal about what's happening. Everything's about smoke and mirrors with the Democrats. It just says, well, why are that, why are they spending so much time on Epstein right now? Because they don't want, they don't, they don't want a 22 year old kid coming into their state and exposing all that they're doing, you know, with, with a camera. And so it's, it's, it's a, you know, it's slight of hand. It's just, let's create all of these issues so that the real issue doesn't get dealt with. And that's what's happening in California. That's what's happening in Minnesota, you're going to find New York's going to be the same. It's going to be, it's going to be widespread all across this country.
Dr. Tim Clinton
Well, God be with us. Todd Lamphere, thank you so much for joining me.
Todd Lamphere
Thanks, Tim.

Dr. Jerry Newcombe
Thank you, Tim. Good to be with you.
Dr. Tim Clinton
Hey, Jerry, as we get started, big year, America celebrates 250. President Trump, he's got a lot of plans, a lot of energy. But Jerry, you spent a lot of time just reflecting on the history of American culture, our roots, and there's a lot of narrative there. You guys have been part of a couple of documentaries and more. But take us back, give us some reflections. Jerry, out of your heart and all the history and the study and the passion you have for God and country. Sure.
Dr. Jerry Newcombe
Well, thank you for the opportunity. The 250th anniversary is specifically in reference to when 56 men in Philadelphia on July 4, 1776 by voice vote approved the final wording of the Declaration of Independence. That, of course, is our nation's birth certificate. It was followed up 11 years later by the Constitution. The two documents together. One explains how, I'm sorry, why we exist, that's the Declaration of Independence. And the other explains how do we govern as a nation. And frankly, the Christian faith played a key role in both of these things. For example, in the Declaration of Independence, we see references to God four times, and especially that God is the source of our rights. And when God gives us our rights, they're non negotiable. And then the other document, the Constitution, which was signed in the year of our Lord, as in Jesus Christ, that is infused with the biblical teaching that man is basically sinful, therefore power must be separated. And they're very careful. If you read the Constitution, you see all throughout the separation of powers because of not man being good, but because men are not angels, as James Madison, a key architect of the Constitution, put it. So we have a lot to be grateful for, a stable government through all the different problems we've faced in 250 years, including a civil war, a Great Depression, and now, you know, the ongoing attempt to basically tear it all down to create some sort of Marxist utopia. But despite all that, we continue along as the United States of America, one nation under God.
Dr. Tim Clinton
Jerry, when you go back and reflect, we're not perfect, obviously, but it's pretty impressive how they were able to think their way through and craft those kind of documents, our founders original vision. How do you think we're lining up on what they really cried out to God for and what they set their hands to and where we're at in this moment?
Dr. Jerry Newcombe
Well, let me start with this. George Washington said of all the dispositions and habits which lead to political prosperity, religion and morality are indispensable supports. The second president, John Adams, said, our Constitution was made only for a moral and religious people. It is wholly inadequate to the government of any other. The founders expected the people, we, the people, to be moral, you know, basically as the Bible defines it. And the way that we would be moral is by abiding in faith. Now, this was done on a voluntary basis. There's no mandated religion in America, which I think is part of the brilliance of the founding fathers, but there's absolutely the encouragement for the free exercise of religion. I think what's happened in the last half century or so, we have just gotten away from God as fast as we can. And people don't realize, you know, we're cutting ourselves off from the very root that produced all the great fruit in the first place. This fruit of freedom, of life and liberty and the pursuit of happiness.
Dr. Tim Clinton
When you look back to Jerry, you think of bold, courageous leadership and what it must have taken, especially in those hours, up against incredible opposition and odds, if you will. It was like, this is a fight to the end. We've got to stand strong. We've got to champion exactly what we want to hold tenaciously. To Jerry, that kind of leadership. I think people were crying out for bold, courageous leadership over the last few years because we were going through a. A pretty tough time. Religious liberties were, quote, being violated at every level. It was insane what was happening and coming at us. The open border mess. The economy was in shambles. Transgender ideology was being railroaded, and so much more. Reflect on that, Jerry, and just talk to us about the need for leadership. Strong leadership, courageous leadership, bold leadership.
Dr. Jerry Newcombe
Sure. And also looking to God in that leadership. So during the times of crisis, for example, during the American war for independence, 15 times at least, the Congress set aside days for fasting and prayer and even thanksgiving in some cases to call out to God. And you're right about the. We look at the calamities of the last few years, and we see we are. You know, as a nation, it seemed like we were headed in this direction of just trying to get away from God, trying to cut ourselves off from the Judeo Christian heritage which has made us what we are in the first place. But it's kind of like. Think of it this way, Tim. Think of a building with lots of columns and everything, and there's all kinds of pockmarks against that, the columns and all kinds against, you know, working against the foundation of the nation, which is our Judeo Christian heritage. And yet. Yet the nation still stands the Founding principles of America are still in place, and that's what's so great. And frankly, in the courts. This is kind of almost ironic, or it almost seems like it's under the radar. But you take the example of First Liberty Institute, Kelly Shackelford and the Alliance Defending Freedom, founded by D. James Kennedy and James Thompson, and a handful of other realizing, hey, we gotta fight for religious liberty in America, a nation that was founded for religious freedom. But there have been many victories. And honestly, President Trump has been a part of that, because President Trump appointed or nominated three Supreme Court justices, and he stuck to his guns even when there were attacks on against them. And so I think there's been some, you know, gaining back of some ground, but it's almost like every square inch has to be. Has to be fought over. But the bottom line is the founders gave us religious freedom. I mean, they said in the First Amendment, the very first liberty they mentioned, congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion nor prohibiting the free exercise thereof.
Dr. Tim Clinton
Jerry, at the end of the day, we can't forget our roots. You got to go back and understand. And by the way, this great experiment was founded largely anchored in the Christian faith, giving people the freedoms to pursue all this. And Jerry, I guess that's how I want to close this piece out as we move into celebrating America 250. And by the way, the President declared May 17 as a special day where we're going to rededicate America. We have movements like America Praise and America's Reading the Bible Movement. All this stuff is happening. We know we're going to do a big deal on the National Day of Prayer in May. But, Jerry, close us out with understand how to anchor yourself in our faith. That's what made America great. And if we can keep our roots right there, hopefully it'll impact generations, meaning our children and our children's children. Closing thought.
Dr. Jerry Newcombe
Absolutely. And@providenceforum.org we have all sorts of researchers, research just showing these things, resources showing, you know, videos and, and so forth and articles. But I, I think of this Patrick Henry, one of the great founding fathers, the Order of the American Revolution. He's the one who said, give me liberty, give me death. He said that in March 23, 1775, and within the next month was the shot heard round the world. But he said, give me liberty or give me death. But Patrick Henry reminded us it is when a people forget God that tyrants forge their chains. So if I sound like a broken record, I am a broken record because it's our God. Given liberties that are the key to understanding everything. And the, the essence of the American experiment is that our rights come from the creator. Ronald Reagan put it this way, America is one nation under God, but if we ever forget that, we'll be one nation gone under.
Dr. Tim Clinton
Dr. Jerry Newcombe, always great to have you, my friend. Thank you for joining me.
Dr. Jerry Newcombe
Thank you.

Joining us now is Gary Bauer. Bauer served in President Ronald Reagan's administration for eight years as under secretary of education and chief Domestic Policy advisor. Today he serves as president of American Values, an educational nonprofit organization right there in Washington, D.C. he's also senior vice president of Public policy for the Dr. James Dobson family Institute. Gary, welcome back. Thank you for joining me.
Gary Bauer
It's my pleasure, Tim. Always great to be with you, Gary.
Dr. Tim Clinton
Big week. President Donald J. Trump, the State of the Union address is coming down. I know there was some pushback. Hey, are you going to do it because the partial government shut down and stuff, you know, Trump, Trump esque Of course we're coming, Gary. I have a feeling he's going to come guns blazing. He's got probably a big agenda, some results he wants to share, and obviously there's some tension going down that we need to address in this country. Gary, just some reflections on where we've been, where you think we're at. Where, where, what do you think the President's going to say? What, what's the tone?
Gary Bauer
Well, you know, the president will go in there probably a little bit frustrated that we haven't been able to get more through Congress than we have. And I know all the reasons. We all know the reasons why. Very small majority in the House and a better majority in the Senate, but not big enough to break filibusters, unfortunately. So he's a little frustrated. I think we can count on the Democrats in the chamber being, sadly, I'll use the word idiots again, you know.
Dr. Tim Clinton
Oh, I'm sure there's going to be some commotion going on. They'll, they'll, they'll do some grandstanding and all that kind of stuff. AOC and company.
Gary Bauer
Absolutely. But, you know, I, and, and you're right, Tim, Donald Trump, he'll, he'll lay out his agenda and he'll make a great case for it. And I, I'll, I'll love to see all of that, but I also hope that he uses the occasion, because this is the State of the Union address in the 250th anniversary or birthday of the founding of the United States. And I hope he has some sections there in the speech, I suspect, where he reminds the Democrats and Republicans in that room that this is an experiment, one of the greatest experiments in the history of the world of ordered liberty under God. We have differences, but we ought to unite in love of our country and have a pride in all the things that it has accomplished since 1776.
Dr. Tim Clinton
Gary, interestingly enough, faith is back, and I think you and I agree, faith is going to have a central role in the midterms and much more in terms of the future of this country. But when you think about May 17, this announcement on the rededication of America, and then I think about America, praise that movement that's happening. America Reads the Bible, is a special movement that's starting to happen, Gary. It's encouraging. At the same time, we know that religious liberty is what this was all about. You go back 250 years. That was the founding principle that they laid everything down for.
Gary Bauer
Yes.
Dr. Tim Clinton
Gary, you have lived your whole life in this lane. You're a Champion of this. And just how do you feel as we go into July 4th this year in this 250 celebration and looking at the issue of faith and what are you praying earnestly to God for?
Gary Bauer
Well, my, my central prayer, Tim, and I think a lot of us would say the same, is that the country would turn their hearts back to the God of the Bible, the God of Abraham, Isaac, Jacob and Jesus. That's the God that our founding documents refer to. That's the God in the second paragraph, the Declaration of Independence referred to as our creator, who endows us with certain rights that we, that can't be taken away, nor can we legitimately surrender them without actually killing ourselves if we did that. So that's the central idea of our country. If we lose that, there may still be a place called America, but it won't be the America that our founders sacrifice and risk so much to give us. The things you just mentioned, Tim, the May 17 event and so forth, a lot of the left wing media, some of the leading Democrats. Oh, this is terrible. This is Christian nationalism. No, no it isn't. This, this is exactly what the founders did as they were going through those difficult years of beating the world's greatest empire and then here coming to some sort of an agreement on principles about what kind of country it was going to be. And they knew America couldn't be great unless it was godly. And everything that they did was aiming to have this country and its people recognize that our liberty comes from God.
Dr. Tim Clinton
Gary, I want to close this way. State of Virginia. Man, oh man, the thing is spinning south so fast. Here was the strategy. Talk moderate, act insane if you will. Gary, that's exactly what's happening. They have control of everything now. We're talking everything from gun rights to birthday abortion. They're railroading everything. And they're not, they're not playing. They're flat out coming with guns blazing. Gary, it's a portrait again of what, what the insanity is of the left extreme messaging. And Gary, if we don't have that wake up call, we too can be like, you know, sitting in frogs in that kettle of warm water, just, hey, hanging out, having a great America 250 year, you know that, not taking things seriously. Here come the midterms. The next thing you know, we're in a total flat out spin. Give us some reflections on how we should approach the year, especially as we begin to move toward the midterms. And in your mind how critical this hour is.
Gary Bauer
Yes, you know, Virginia, as bad as it is for those of us that live in Virginia. And the future doesn't look very bright right now. It is a warning sign. It's an omen. It's right there in front of our face. You know, the media told us, Tim, that all these folks running on the Democrat Party ticket were moderates. These were not like New York neo Marxist Democrats. These were good old Virginia Democrats. And on the first day they're pushing abortion all nine months of the pregnancy, they're pushing same sex marriage, they're redistricting the state. So if they get their way, there will only be one congressional district in Virginia that a Republican will be able to win. A conservative pro life person would be able to win in the future. This is what they intend to do if they get the House back, the Senate back. They've said it in interviews that they're going to come after the church. They're going to come after people like you, Tim and me. We cannot ignore this. Anybody that stays home on this upcoming election day in November of this year, I almost say it's a sin. You are failing your responsibility as a citizen and a free nation and a follower of Jesus to do what you must do to preserve liberty, preserve this nation as one nation under God. Otherwise your children and grandchildren are going to suffer in ways that are unimaginable.
Dr. Tim Clinton
You know, for those people out there thinking, ah, fear mongering. No, just take a look at what's happening. It's going down. It really is. God be with us. Gary Bauer, always great to have you. Thank you for joining me.
Gary Bauer
Great to be with you, Tim.

Hey, in closing, I know these are unprecedented times, difficult times, but I believe God's in control and I know he's at work. I hope you'll press in close to him and his heart and know that God loves you and that he wants to be in your life. Our hope, our strength, comes from the Lord. Lord. Here's an encouraging verse to hold on to from the Bible this week. Colossians 4:6. Let your conversation be always full of grace, seasoned with salt, so that you may know how to answer everyone. What a verse for such a time as this. Hey, I hope you know also that you can look to God for wisdom and direction in your everyday life. But let me say I've learned as a professional counselor that while it's normal to have concerns, maybe some fear or worry, especially when life's not going the way it's supposed to. If you're not careful, it can begin to consume you, control you. It's easy to lose perspective. Some people feel like they have lost hope. It can get so dark for some that they might even feel like life would be better off without them. I say this every week. You don't have to live like that. Simply taking a step, reaching out for help. It's often the gateway to a new day or a new you. And if you or someone you love is struggling, reach out for help. There are wonderful counselors and pastors who care who can help you find the hope and the answers that you're looking for. There are also a lot of wonderful resources out there now, love for you. To connect up with some of those, you can find out more information at our website@aacc.net that's aacc.net hey, if you want to find a Christian mental health leader coach counselor in your area, go to our new website, ChristianCareConnect.com that's ChristianCareConnect. If you don't have a personal relationship with God in Christ, you can do that right now by asking him to come into your life. Simply praying a prayer from your heart to God's heart. Something like this. You can pray it after me. Lord Jesus, I need you. I'm a sinner. I believe that you died for my sins. I want to turn from them and invite you to come into my heart, my life. I want to trust you. I want to follow you as my Lord. Lord and my Savior. God, thank you for loving me, for giving your son for me. Thank you for the gift of grace and forgiveness, the gift of eternal life of heaven. I pray all this in Jesus name. Amen. I believe you prayed that prayer, that God heard it and you are now a Christian. That's what the Bible says. John 3:16 says, For God so loved the world that he gave his only begotten son that whosoever believes in him would not perish but have everlasting Life. And Romans 10:9 in the Bible says this. If you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. Best thing you can do right now is go tell someone about the decision you just made and live your life for God for the rest of your life. If you're struggling with hopelessness, say, tim, it's really dark. I can't find my way out. I hope you'll pick up the phone right now and talk to someone. Suicide hotline available. You can pick up the phone and dial 988 and talk to someone. Hey, before we go, maybe God's gifted you with a heart to help other people.
