Steve Gur
Welcome to America's Voice live. It's Friday, the 15th of May in the year of our Lord 2026. Let's get the day's top stories. As always, thank you for joining me here on Real America's Voice. I appreciate seeing you on a Friday. President Trump on his way back to the United States from China. He and Chinese dictator Xi discuss multiple topics, including trade, Taiwan and Iran. I'll bring you the latest details on all of it. Also, I'll head on over to the Mailbag and read some of the emails that you've been sending the people. We want to hear directly from you right here. Something we try to get in every Friday to celebrate the weekend ahead. Will your email make it on? You'll have to sit and find out. And then later, immigration enforcement operations are ramping up in Florida. And my good friend Ben Berkwum that'll catch all the action. He'll be joining us in just a few moments. All that more coming up. But first I want to start off with a close look at the Democrat Party. They've gone all in, no holds barred on their vile hatred and their hateful rhetoric aimed at anyone who isn't a full blown socialist, especially, of course, President Trump. And today I'm bringing the receipts. I'm rolling the tape. I'm here to let you know just how downright unhinged the Democrats have become this year and their candidates especially. No matter what President Trump does, Democrats just can't help but to hate him. I'll tell you why. It's because deep down, I think they hate America. And President Trump continues to deliver for the American people. More times than not, President Trump might be coming home with some significant promises from Xi Jinping on agriculture and oil purchases, among other things. But the real question becomes will China actually honor the deals this time? This is what Xi had to say to kick things off and a stable
Xi Jinping
bilateral relationship is good for the world. China and the United States both stand to gain from cooperation and lose from confrontation. We should be partners, not rivals. We should help each other succeed and prosper together and find the right way for major countries to get along well with each other in the new era. Mr. President, I look forward to our discussions on major issues important to our two countries and the world and working together with you to set the course for and steer the giant ship of China U. S relationship.
Steve Gur
Now, at the end of the two day summit, President Trump himself stated that the meeting with the dictator went exceptionally well and noted that their personal connection remains strong, while asserting that the two leaders have been able to resolve problems and issues that others probably wouldn't have been able to. And right on cue, here come the Democrats attacking President Trump. Before the ink is dry on any of these agreements, old Chuck Schumer tried to fear monger the public ahead of the summit by stating Trump would sell out to China. Here he is.
Chuck Schumer / Hakeem Jeffries
There's an old saying that only Nixon could go to China, but soon they'll say only Trump could sell out to China. Donald Trump wants a deal with China so badly, he could sell out on American manufacturing, he could sell out on chips, he could sell out on Taiwan, which produces many of these chips. He could sell out on AI on any number of grave issues.
Steve Gur
Yeah, but he did not. How wrong Chuck was again. And you know this is rich, coming from the same party that spent years shipping American jobs overseas, opening the door to Chinese manufacturing dominance and allowing Beijing to buy up farmland, industry and influence right under our noses. The Democrats don't want to admit it, but President Trump's approach to China has always been fundamentally different. As I said, they just continue to bask in their hateful ways all to push their anti American agenda. I'm not sure it gets any worse than the guy they've decided should be the new face to the party, Hassan Piker, a radical streamer who was born here in the United States to two Turkish parents who then flew him back to Turkey where he was raised. And now he's here on US Oil, seeking to destroy this country by any means necessary. At an event recently, he expressed understanding for the desire to assassinate President Trump for real. Here it is. And you actually wrote about this and it was a Great video where you talked about, you know, someone has to do it. See, when I say that, everyone knows exactly what I mean, which is, I think that shows that there is a lot of anger, a lot of resentment and untapped potential. Untapped revolutionary potential, as a matter of fact. And it's a great opportunity for organizing.
Ben Berkwam
I think
Steve Gur
what it shows is that there are a lot of vile people on the left. He has no problem with the fact that Trump has had three attempts made on his life. Apparently Hassan wishes there were more. And Democrats have no problem platforming this guy. Don't forget, this is the guy who a couple years ago said that the US deserved 911 and repeatedly called the United States a terrorist nation. You bet your bottom dollar that whoever Hasan Piker supports as a candidate is going to put America last. And he's out there on the campaign trail campaigning for many one of his favor. What's Graham Platner? You know, the guy with the Nazi tattoo? He's running to unseat Susan Collins in the Senate for Maine this year. He's got a lot of skeletons in his closet. Like I said, that Nazi tattoo on his chest he says was a drunken accident. Then there's his digital footprint on the Internet. Boy, is it a doozy. Senate Republicans have done us all a favor and compiled a reading of those horrendous comments. Let me share. And now for a dramatic reading of Graham Platner's Reddit comments.
Graham Platner (Reddit Comments)
Holy. How about people just take some responsibility, responsibility for themselves and not get so up they wind up having sex with someone they don't mean to. Rape is a real thing. If you're so worried about it to buy Kevlar underwear, you think you might not get blacked out up around people you aren't comfortable with. Why don't black people tip? I work as a bartender and it always amazes me how solid the stereotype is. Living in white rural America, I'm afraid to tell you, they actually are. I got older and became a communist. Still got the guns though. I don't trust the fascists to act politely. I did used to love America, or at least the idea of it. These days I'm pretty disgusted by it all. Feel free to back it up with facts. Facts?
Steve Gur
Oh yeah, pleasant. But apparently Democrats are willing to brush that all aside. All of it, if they think he can win them another blue seat in the Senate. That's your candidate for Maine. Elizabeth Warren has forgotten all her feminist and anti racist beliefs apparently as well. And even CNBC is flabbergasted by it. Listen to this.
CNBC Interviewer
You campaigned with Graham Platner, who is ahead of that state, very pivotal Democratic primary. And I wanted to ask you about something you said. You said, he's your kind of man. And I've interviewed you for a long time and watched your hearings and listened to your questions. You care about character. This is a guy that had a chest tattoo with a Nazi symbol. Okay? He apologized for it. It's a guy that reportedly wrote that people concerned about rape should take some responsibility for themselves and not get so effed up that they wind up having sex with someone they don't mean to. He praised military tactics used by Hamas, reportedly in comments online and Reddit when they were murdering Israeli soldiers. So I'm just curious why you think he's your kind of man.
Steve Gur
So, as you rightly point out, he has apologized. He's out meeting with the people of
Colonel Rob Manus
Maine every single day.
Steve Gur
He's apologized for being a pig over and over again. Well, thank you, Liz. I don't remember Warren being nearly as generous with Trump about comments of his that she didn't like. And that's because these people actually don't have standards or morals. It's all about politics. Here's another of Hassan Piker's picks, Abdul El Sayed, who led his supporters in an abolished ICE chat at a recent rally in Michigan after painting ice like this.
Abdul El Sayed
That ice is about something far crueler. ICE is about normalizing, putting government thugs on our streets against the Constitution itself. And maybe it's because I ran government agencies, but I can tell you that once a culture of impunity sets in, there is no reform. What do you tell an agent who used a child as bait? I mean, can you imagine the PowerPoint slide that you'd have to design? No, don't take the kid. You cannot reform this. You cannot retrain this. The only logical path is to abolish ice.
Steve Gur
Sorry, friends, but gone are the days that Democrats would walk back their defund the police talking points. No, now they're fully embracing abolish ICE chance and embracing illegal aliens, fully embracing their hatred of Donald Trump. After the first and even the second assassination attempt, the Democrat playbook was to just deny that the left engaged in violent rhetoric and to try the whole both sides the issue nonsense. But they've thrown out that playbook now, and they're just sticking to their hatred, pure and simple. It's vile, and it goes all the way to the top. House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries. You know, Dollar Store Obama, he's decided to lead the way in attacking any form of conservatism, including that of Supreme Court justices who interpret the Constitution the way it should be. He issued a very dire warning to the justices on left wing media. Here he is.
Chuck Schumer / Hakeem Jeffries
The Supreme Court is a disgrace. And Ben, in the new Congress, we're going to have to do something about this Supreme Court. And let me be very clear, everything is on the table, everything to deal with this corrupt MAGA majority that is issuing political opinions that are designed to bolster the prospects of the Republican Party and we will not allow them to succeed.
Steve Gur
Corrupt MAGA majority on the Supreme Court. Jeffries absolutely knows that several of the conservative justices have been doxxed, had their homes surrounded by angry, violent protesters, had violent threats made against their lives. And I know he hasn't forgotten that one, the one man was even arrested for trying to kill Brett Kavanaugh. I remember. I know he does as well. But Jeffries thinks it's a good idea to tell the deranged left wing audience who watches him that all options are still on the table, including that the Democrat Party is dangerous. In a word, not just because their policies are going to ruin America, but because they've shown in the last few weeks that they're willing to use the most deranged of individuals to get those policies implemented. And Democrats will force their dangerous policies through Congress if they get their way this year. And they're using dangerous people and dangerous rhetoric to get their way. Let me tell you friends, these are the Democrats in 2026. You've got to make it the same it was in 2024. Too big to rig. The alternative is too dark. Too big to rig. You've been warned. And that's the monologue. Before we go to break, I want to remind you that this Sunday Real America's Voice will go live from Washington, D.C. for Rededicate 250, a major faith based event alongside Freedom 250 and proudly sponsored by Patriot Mobile and Preborn. Join David Zier, Ben Berkwa, Michelle Backus and more for live coverage beginning 8am Eastern and continuing throughout the day. Now coming up after the break, I'll discuss President Trump's time in China as well as what could be in store for Taiwan. Always in the crosshairs. More coming up on america's Voice Live,

I heart Radio. President Trump had a busy couple of days due to his trip to Beijing, China, to meet with the dictator Xi Jinping. Talks between the two revolved around establishing solid trade deals, with President Trump going as far as to say that the meeting went exceptionally well. Taiwan was also on the table, with Xi mentioning that if the situation is mishandled by America, it could put the stability of the US And China in jeopardy. Of course, President Trump was asked about Taiwan, and here's what he said on board Air Force One earlier today.
Body by Jake Radio Announcer
Listen, would the US Defend Taiwan if it came to it? I don't want to say. I'm not going to say that. There's only one person, person that knows that you know who it is. Me. I'm the only person. That question was asked to me today by President Xi. I said, I don't talk about those. He asked you if you would send troops, if you would. He asked me if I defend them. I said I don't talk about that. She tells him that I don't talk.
Steve Gur
Show me. To break down that visit to China is retired Air Force veteran and the author of the new book what yout Can Do about it, and the founder and chairman of the Gator Pack, Colonel Rob Manus. Colonel, nice to see you again.
Colonel Rob Manus
Good afternoon, Steve. Good to be here.
Steve Gur
Good to see you. Look, let's talk about Taiwan for a moment. First of all, I don't know if China has the guts to go after Taiwan. They've threatened it for years. Now would not be a good time, I don't think, because I think they realize that President Trump would respond. But on the other hand, how would the American public take it if we were spending treasure and blood to defend that island? I'm not sure America would be on board with that, but maybe I'm wrong. Your thoughts?
Colonel Rob Manus
Well, let me just say that the reality of the Iran war is that the Chinese equipment is an abject failure that they bragged about for many, many years. Steve. So that is in the forefront of President Xi's mind whenever he thinks about trying to take Taiwan by force at this point, which is a shift from pre Venezuela because their equipment in Venezuela also failed. And the American military has overwhelmed, overcome, destroyed, degraded every piece of capability both countries had very successfully. So President Xi is not on top of the heap when it comes to that kind of thinking and that potential operation. And I don't see that happening anytime soon. Would the American people put up with it? Look, the Taiwan has been named as a vital national interest of the United States in every strategic document we've published for over 30 years. So we're not obligated to, but we've identified it as a vital national interest primarily because of chip manufacturing. But as that chip manufacturing comes here and comes home, I think the American people will be less and less and less inclined to defend the place if the Chinese were to want to take it unilaterally.
Steve Gur
Let me go back to. Let me go back to the weapons failures, because that's really important, not something that's been discussed in many places. Let's go a little bit into detail there. Venezuela, one of the most remarkable military operations you and I have ever witnessed. I think I could say the same for Iran. I believe the casualties are still 13. It's been at that level for a while. And I don't dismiss 13 lives. Terrible tragedy. But this was a major operation. To have 13 casualties is minor, despite the losses that they are. Those failures. Tell me about that. What things have failed? What has China learned that they maybe didn't know before?
Colonel Rob Manus
China provided the integrated air defense system. So the system that finds targets, identifies them as enemies or friend, and then assigns and fires surface to air missiles at those targets if they're declared enemies within their system. And the radar they sold to Venezuela and the Iranians was called the Stealth killer, if I remember correctly, they nicknamed the Chinese, nicknamed it that. And as you could see, we didn't even use much stealth technology on Venezuela. As a matter of fact, my B1 bombers from Dyess Air Force Base, Texas, were the first to fire shots at that integrated air defense system. And it's mildly stealthy, but not nearly like the F22, F35 and B2 bomber. So we took it out really easily. They didn't get a shot off at all, either inbound or outbound from that perspective. And then with Operation Midnight Hammer last summer, we put many, many aircraft in the Iranian airspace in the middle of the night. They didn't get any missiles shot up. They didn't even know they were there until after they left the country, which is very, very difficult to do. And then, of course, with the epic fury operation, we've completely decimated them because the Chinese thought that they had learned from Venezuela and Midnight Hammer and the Iranians were told that, but the systems were overcome and destroyed once again. So their technology is not nearly what they're selling it for. However, they have numbers, especially in ships. So they have a lot of naval vessels, merchant marine vessels, coast guard vessels that are all use for military purposes, designed to go after Taiwan if necessary. And it would be a huge naval battle between our allies, US and the Chinese, if they tried to take Taiwan by force.
Steve Gur
Let me ask you about the ongoing military efforts in Iran. They've been in basically a ceasefire for quite a while now. But reports from earlier this week indicated that these fast boats from Iran that are small military boats, Boston Whalers really out there harassing ships. I saw one report as many as 400 rotten, the straight harassing shipping. We've got the technology to neutralize that quickly, I would think, based on what we have seen and understand. Why have we not?
Colonel Rob Manus
Yeah, we do. And it's a questionable report. You know, Admiral Bradley Cooper, the US Commander of Central Command that's in charge of the combat operations there, just testified a few days ago in Congress that from his experience when he would take a ship in there, they would see 2 to 400 of those fast attack boats. But now the reality is that we're seeing 1 to 2 to 3 at any given time. So. But we do have the technology to destroy them. We've done that. We've demonstrated in the Gulf of America and off the west coast of Baja California and Columbia with all the drug runner type vessels, which is almost exactly the same type of vessel, same type of tactics, using stealth and speed to try to make an attack and then get away before they can get caught. But there are a lot of carcasses of speedboats and Boston Whalers sitting in the Strait of Hormuz right now. And that's because of American capabilities. Everything from the A10, Warthog's 30 millimeter gun, the F18, 20 millimeter gun, to Apache helicopters taking them out.
Steve Gur
So you think that they will be if there's, if there are any left. And I, like, I don't know if those reports are credible or not. I saw a couple of reports in that regard. But if they're out there, they're free game and we're going to neutralize them. Like they were running drugs from South America north like we've seen so many videos of already this year. Colonel. That's what I would guess. Give me an idea before we Go here on this Friday. How much longer do you think in Iran are we going to start full scale military operations again? The Iranians obviously just keep playing games, stringing along. They're not negotiating in good faith at all. How long are we going to be there, do you think? Best guess?
Colonel Rob Manus
I think President Trump and the United States have been more than patient enough and it's time to resume full scale military operations. I've recommended that for the last couple weeks because they're just not going to negotiate in good faith, number one. And they're very difficult to defeat by changing their minds. It's not going to happen, Steve. They're fanatics and they believe in what they believe. So they're going to hang in there like the Nazi German leadership did in World War II. And we need to restart operations if we're going to see some kind of resolution to this. But look, you know, this is about strangling off and starving the regime led by the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps of revenue and of resupply and demoralizing their troops so that the regime collapses internally and the resistance can take over. A couple of things need to continue. The blockade needs to continue. I would resume full scale military operations and that would make those speedboats fair game every day 24 7. We need to get some weapons into the hands of the resistance. We have not successfully done that. And we need to make sure we're cutting off all the overland routes and the Caspian Sea route for resupply that we know has been used by the Russians and we believe the Chinese to resupply munitions and those kind of things. They have to be cut off. We have to strangle this regime off so that it'll collapse.
Steve Gur
Yes.
Colonel Rob Manus
You can't predict how long something's going to last. It's been 11 weeks. That's a relatively short period of time for this level of operation.
Steve Gur
It is. Well, if you're looking for a good book to read this weekend, what you can do about it by Colonel Rob Manus, you can find it at all the great places. There it is, what you can do about it. A good read for the weekend. Colonel, always a pleasure. Coming up after the break, I'll head on over to the mailbag. Read some of the emails that you the people have sent directly to me here. Don't go anywhere. American Voice is up next. Well, it's Friday, thankfully. You know what that means. Time to go to the mailbag. Read some of your emails right here on live TV. Here we go. Lloyd McKinney writes me this. I'm not a huge fan of autonomous surveillance myself, but here's a novel idea. If you pick up your phone and look at it and look away from the road to your dash screen to see who's calling, why not make the cars have a 15 second delay, shut off so that you could get to a safe spot or off the bridge and your car would automatically shut down for a certain number of minutes. I'm a private pilot. I'm also a CDL truck driver and even hands free devices, people nowadays cannot multitask like driving and carrying on a freaking conversation. And the police, that they think they can operate a freaking laptop while driving, they are nuts. I support our police, but what's good for the goose is good for the gander. Used to when I was growing up, the biggest cause of car accidents was dui, whether it was alcohol or drugs. Nowadays, I would say well over, if not close to 90% of all accidents are caused by distracted driving. Cell phones, trying to entertain and be your kid's best friend, among other things people think they can do while driving, but put on makeup, have sex with themselves. Okay, seriously. I drove a truck for 30 years before I went to school and became an aircraft mechanic. And I also got my private pilot license. I've seen things you absolutely could not imagine or believe. I don't like generic surveillance of any kind, but it seems like we are getting to the point of irresponsibility. It's going to happen. God bless. Have a wonderful day. I agree with you on most of that, but having the car shut down because I looked at my cell phone, I'm going to have to say no to that one. Mark McKinney writes, the definition of price gouging is exactly what the oil industry is doing. When the gas has been bought below your feet and the price skyrockets. Bought, processed, delivered, and yet the price goes up immediately. We need the US Attorney General to prosecute these oil executives. Thank you. I don't know if they're going to get prosecuted, but you might want to talk to them to start. Beckett Romanick writes this. You were talking about AI and just wanted to tell you what happened with my indoor house camera. It updated itself, AI and the alerts I was getting was freaky. Once it said there were two people in the house, but it was reading my wedding picture across the room. Another alert said, there's a person on a couch under a blanket with a cat. One more said, a person on a chair appears to be watching TV and looks upset. That's too freaky. I unplugged it right then and there. You see, you missed one step there. You missed one step there to finish the job. Becky hit that thing with a hammer. Then you've been done with the job. I appreciate your letters. We'll have more next Friday when there are supply constraints on commodities prices surge. You saw it with fuel prices when the Strait of Hormuz was blockaded. And you know what else is a limited commodity? Gold. They mine it out of the ground. When it's gone, it's gone. Governments can't just print more of it. And that's why everyone from central banks to savvy savers are diversified with gold. If you've been thinking about it for years but have still never moved some of your savings into physical gold, Birchgold Group is who I trust to help you now through May 29, Birch Gold giving a first time gold buyers a rebate of up to $10,000 on qualifying purchases. Text America to the number 989898 to see if you qualify for a first time gold buyer rebate of up to $10,000. Again, text America to 98. 98. 98. Do that today. After the break, I'll bring on my good friend, host of Law and Border, Ben Berkwam to discuss his recent ride along with ICE in Florida. Details of his most recent adventures straight ahead. ICE teams up with state and local law enforcement in a series of joint operations targeting illegal immigrants with criminal records. My good friend Ben Berkwam, host of Law and Border, recently went on a ride along because that's what Ben does with ICE agents in Florida. Let's take a sneak peek into his most recent adventure. Here it is, 6am we're here in
Ben Berkwam
Broward county going out on a joint op with the Florida Highway Patrol. Gonna catch some bad guys. Let's roll. What's incredible to me is the amount of people that were hired these guys to come into their house not knowing what their criminal history is just because you want a little bit of cheap labor. And they continue the lie that they do jobs Americans won't do. It's not true. They just won't do them for slave wages like the rich liberals in America want to pay illegals. These operations should be happening all across America, but unfortunately we have sanctuary jurisdictions that don't care about Our constitution or the citizens of this country.
Colonel Rob Manus
Ten more apprehensions later. We're at 14 for the day.
Ben Berkwam
We got our back up in the air. God bless. These guys have been here for between five and 10 years because Border Patrol and ICE are so backed up because the open borders left. A lot of times these guys don't get caught for a while now they got caught all three in one day.
Steve Gur
Never a dull moment when Ben Bergquam is on the prowl, that's for sure. He joins me now. He's in. He's in Florida as we speak. Ben, good afternoon. Look, you had a lot of action on that one, didn't you?
Ben Berkwam
Yeah. Crazy three day operation and it was nonstop. And you know what's amazing about this, Steve, is the difference between a state like Florida that actually works with ice. Law enforcement, all branches, state, local and federal, all work together versus the sanctuary jurisdictions that protect illegal aliens. I mean, the entire thing was like clockwork. We were out with the Florida Highway Patrol, the state troopers, as they were doing their routine stops. And in those routine stops, if it was suspected that these people were here illegally, then the ICE was there with them. They would go up and find out. And it is shocking, Steve, how many illegal aliens are in a state like Florida. And you think about, if they're here in Florida and ICE is working with all these jurisdictions, imagine how many illegals are in all these other states that aren't working with ice. It's. It truly is incredible the amount of illegals that are in our country.
Steve Gur
The good news is though, Ben, the work is continuing despite the hysteria and the flaming hair on the left. It's fine. They can have their hair on fire. Nobody cares. Get a fire extinguisher or don't. Secretary Mullen seems to be sliding into the job pretty well. I saw him on a raid in Virginia here just yesterday. And he's not apologizing, he's toned it down a bit. But the fact of the matter is, there you are. The work is still being done. That's really important, isn't it?
Ben Berkwam
Yeah. And the biggest thing that we have to stay focused on is winning these elections coming up, the midterms elections, so that we can pass some of these things into law. So that you can't have another Joe Biden or another Democrat come in and do what they did in the last administration and basically just open the floodgates into our country. If we allow that to ever happen again, I don't know if we can undo the damage because as you said, they're out there doing the job. The difference is they're doing the job by the law. The last administration, they didn't. They broke the law and just basically allowed people to invade our country. And that's the difference. We have to follow the law. That's why some people get upset that it takes ICE a little longer to take people out of our country, but that's because they're following the law. And the worst part about this, Steve, is watching congressional representatives who've broken their oath to defend and uphold the Constitution of the United States attacking ICE for ice, doing the job that Congress voted for them to do. It's just, it's absolutely outrageous. But God bless them, they're working every single day to protect our country and keep us safe.
Steve Gur
Hey, Ben, you mentioned the election. Let's talk about that for just a second, if you don't mind, and I'm sure you don't. The term too big to rig was around in 2024. It's more important this time around than it was then. In my estimation, you've got 40% of Christians that don't vote, 40% of gun owners that don't vote, 40 percent of the people that hunt in this country. That's millions of people. I'm like, guys, ladies, gentlemen, you can't sit this one out. You just can't. It's gotta be too big to rig again, doesn't it?
Ben Berkwam
Yeah. Look, the stakes are as high as they've ever been. It's hard to say they're higher, you know, than they've ever been. You think about the Revolutionary War, you think about the Civil War and everything, you know, the stakes that were around during those times. But we're really at a point now. We're at a tipping point in this nation. If, you know, a conservative estimate is that there's 40 to 50 million illegals in this country, it could be higher. It could be 60 plus million illegals in this country. And when I'm out with ice, it doesn't surprise me. It would not surprise me at all if it's that high. At some point we hit that point of no return. And when you compare it, when you add that to the fact that we have jihadist communists in this country that are working to destroy this country from within, at some point very soon, we're going to hit that yield point where you can't fix it. And so to me, these elections are that point. If you are not out there, if you believe in saving this nation, but you're not voting, you're part of the problem. Anyone out there, everyone out there that cares about this. We have to get rinos out. We have to get the communist leftists out, and we have to be able to give President Trump the House and the Senate to pass legislation to make these things permanent. If we do that, we save our nation. If we don't, we're watching the collapse of the greatest nation in the history of the world.
Steve Gur
Yeah. And I think, Ben, you're exactly right. If you don't vote, but you're conservative, you care about your family, your faith, your freedom, and you don't vote, you are part of the problem. Ben Berkwam, thank you for being here. Be careful out there, as always, my friend.
Ben Berkwam
Will do. Thank you, Steve.
Steve Gur
There you have it. So right. And God bless you, Ben. He got cut off a little bit, but look, you can't sit on the couch. 40% of Christians, 40% of gun owners, 40% of those people that hunt every year in this country. Don't cast a ballot, folks. Do your job, we'll do ours. You do yours. We'll get together on this thing. Now, don't go anywhere. America's Voice Live will continue in a moment where I'll discuss the AI controversy. But first, let's take a quick sneak peek at real America's music. Latest release, Bible and a Backbone by the Truth Bombers.

Stand and. All right. Welcome back to this Friday edition of America's Voice Live. As more young Americans worry about what artificial intelligence could mean for their future, Nvidia CEO Jensen Huang is offering a very different perspective. Embrace the opportunity. Speaking to graduates at Carnegie Mellon University, Huang said new technologies are opening the door to a new era of American innovation, manufacturing and discovery. And encourage students to move toward the future with confidence and not fear. Jimmy, discuss. This is the CEO of Optima, Adam Mangana. Adam, nice to have you here. And look. AI that concern me like constant surveillance and controlling whether or not I can drive my car. I don't like those things at all. But every time there's been a great leap forward in technology in the history of mankind, it's always led to more opportunities, not less. A lot of people fear that everybody will be out of work over this. I think I'm going to go more with Mr. Huang here. What are your thoughts?
Adam Mangana
This is spot on. Now, I will tell you, right? Socrates was skeptical of books. So you're always going to find the folks in power being skeptical of these new technologies, particularly if they don't have control over them. But for the future generation who want the same American dream as our grandparents, AI is the pathway for them to be able to participate in the greatest country that's ever been built and to participate fully.
Steve Gur
All right, but the problem with AI and look, a lot of good things about AI, we talk about it here. It's a topic pretty much every day. Everybody's talking about AI. Among it's one of the top two or three topics. There have to be guardrails. I will not buy a motor vehicle that's going to shut down because it tells me I'm not able to drive the car at that moment. I'm not going to deal with that. I don't like the fact that if I go down a city street, I'm on 25 cameras. I know it's a public space, but so it is. My car is not a public space. My car is personal space. And I don't want cameras in there. I don't want Ford Motor Company's patent to read my lips, you know, so they can monetize it and sell me something while I'm driving. And there has to be some control over these autonomous weapons systems. I don't want AI launching nuclear missiles. Right. I mean, there's certain things that I think need to be in place. Adam, would you agree?
Adam Mangana
Well, you're absolutely spot on about this, Steve. I think the problem, though, is if we get into a space where we're overregulating, where the pendulum is swinging way too far to stifle American innovation and growth, we become focused on operating from a position of fear. And if you really took the message from Jensen's speech, he was talking about a message of hope. America was built on innovation, and they have been cultivating this tool from the invention of railroads to electricity to refrigeration and beyond. The Internet itself was born in America. And so if you think about the and how we're going to empower students, we can't regulate ourselves to success here. We really have to innovate our way to success. And the way you do that is through putting the proper guardrails in place as you framed.
Steve Gur
Well, here's another complaint of AI that I have and a concern. Since 2010, test scores in America have plummeted. It coincides directly with the introduction of iPads and other devices into the classroom. It's a failure. These devices should be removed from the classroom altogether. You cannot have a calculator to do math until you learn how to do math first. My mother, a lifelong school teacher, taught me that. She was right. And we're giving these kids these tools when they don't know how to spell, they don't know how to write a sentence, they don't know how to do math. Oh, we'll just use this. We're dumbing them down, and that's not right. I think devices should leave the classrooms, and then people can use them as they know how to master a skill. Then you can use the device and use a CA calculator. Where am I wrong?
Adam Mangana
Well, I mentioned to you before, Steve, Socrates was skeptical of books because he thought men would lose their memories. They'd no longer be great orators. And he was right. But the Gutenberg Bible transforms the world. And we wouldn't know about Socrates if we didn't have the invention of books. The best curriculums on earth are called great books curriculum. And so in the future, I think you're exactly right. We don't want these tools for the tool's sake. We don't want technology for technology's sake. But we actually want to be able to empower tools for the future that make us more human. So in the sense that iPads are a passive consumption, right, where we're watching a screen, that's very different than interfacing with a historical character like Ben Franklin powered by AI to fall in love with the true history of our country. That's the way I see the tool being used in schools in the most useful way. But having kids cheat on tests, I don't care if you're using Cliff Notes or AI that has to be taken out of the equation immediately.
Steve Gur
But I'm not about term papers and everything else. I'm gonna give you one story for this past week. My son, who was in eighth grade, he's in Spanish class. I said, what'd you do in class? Well, we watched a video on our. On our devices. Then what? When we're done with that, she told us to go look at other stuff on our devices. That's not being a teacher. That's being a babysitter. And I said, how often does that happen? It happens all the time. Well, that's not being a teacher, now, is it? Adam, Last word. To you?
Adam Mangana
Well, it's so critical that our teachers are being trained properly. The problem is you have a crisis with teacher training in this country. And if you think about it right, we knew 5,000 years ago that the Socratic method was the way that we extend thinking through questioning. And our best teachers are going to make ambulatory learning great again. We want to walk next to our students and we want to ask questions through the ability to ask them, you know, very thought provoking questions. AI should help enhance that. It should not be a substitute for the human experience.
Steve Gur
Adam, you're exactly right. And so a lot of questions, a lot of conversations. I'm sure you and I will talk again soon. Thank you, sir. Have a good Friday. Are we on the verge of another pandemic? Is it real hype? Should we be worried? No, just another effort to terrorize people, I think. But the Wellness Company is here to give you peace of mind. That's what's important. What makes America wonderful. We do it every day in the hopes of putting a smile on your face. Let's try it again today. Today's Story highlights Nurse Rodelio Salia say there. I got it. Rodelio Celia say, a registered noose in UC San Diego who, equipped with his ukulele, sings to recovering surgery patients. Believing in the emotional and spiritual healing that music can have on patients, Nurse Rodelio makes it part of his routine not to just check on their physical needs, but to bring people at their bedside singing and playing music from the ukulele. Starting this routine. Since 2008, he's noticed what a difference it makes with people recovering, where it provides peaceful comfort to deal with anxiety and also helps soothe the physical pain they're dealing with. Waking up from surgery can often be scary and emotional, but he's there with a song to help them feel safe, another level of compassion for a nurse to show. Rodelio says that it hasn't just had a profound effect on his patients, but has changed his life as well. He believes we're all meant to care for others. What makes America wonderful? Using what makes us thrive as humans. Like a song to heal each other in our more difficult days. Good stuff there. All right, what should happen to states accused of widespread fraud and benefits fraud? Magarando says stop federal funding. Pretty simple answer, Mr. Rando. I agree. Mariah Danielson Cranny exposed Arrest, jail, restitution. Give us our lives back. How about give us our money back while we're at it in Mason Wood? All fed benefits should stop until states prove they have measures in place, random audits and have instituted training for employees to stop fraud and abuse. And one more I guess we'll get John Hogan in here. States have the responsibility of overseeing distribution of federal funds. They should lose that. You saw JD Vance in Maine yesterday? Says they're in third place behind California and Minnesota. But it's not a list you want to be on. It's not all that fraud because it'd be going to autistic kids and elderly folks in hospice, and instead it's getting people Mercedes Benzes and shipping money out of the country. It's got to stop. It's been a great week. It's been nice seeing you here. Don't forget. Start Monday morning with me again right here on Real America's Voice. Ivy and I will be right there with Daybreak to kick off your broadcast day. Bring the hot coffee, I'll bring the hot conversation, and I'll see you then. Have a great weekend.
