ahead on American Sunrise, Secretary of State Marco Rubio meets with NATO allies as questions grow over America's military role in Europe and what appears to be a Trump about face on troop deployments in that region. We have the very latest developments for you. Plus, the budget reconciliation battle heats up as Senate Republicans delay a key vote related to spending billions of dollars, your tax dollars. Now all eyes shift to the House. And how are lawmakers in that chamber reacting? We've got a member of the US House on standby and he'll join us here within the next few minutes. And then later, building a marriage on faith. How can couples keep God at the center of their relationship through sickness and health and all other challenges that life brings? Those stories and so much more right now on AMERICAN Sunrise.

Puppy Friday, guys.
Dr. Gina
Puppy Friday, it's Memorial Day weekend. A lot of people getting ready for those plans.
Terrence Bates (alternate or main host)
Are you guys traveling at all for the holiday or just kind of chilling at home? Horizontal, I guess technically it is a holiday. Horizontal holiday. That means sleeping, David.
Dr. Gina
Sleeping, eating. I'm probably gonna go back to Ohio and look for this dog again. Probably. It's my wedding anniversary weekend, so I kind of hate that. That's what I'm probably doing. But duty calls. Once a mom, always a mom. Doesn't matter how old the kids are. We all know this, right?
David Zier
Wow.
David Brody
Good for you.
Terrence Bates (alternate or main host)
I get that. I get that. Well, happy wedding anniversary to you and your hubby. Wishing you guys all the best. Guys, I'm sure you have seen this headline. NBC has it out. But it really is kind of one of the headlines that you'll see everywhere. DNC releases 2024 autopsy with chair apologizing for creating an even Bigger dist. This post election report, which they're calling an autopsy. Kind of morbid in my mind, but I get it, cites problems with messaging for the party. It also says that late arriving ground efforts led to part of their big defeat and a lack of alignment with Kamala Harris and the Maine super pac. It also points out something that we've been saying all along, and that's that Democrats really had no platform apart from Donald Trump is bad. That was the, the campaign platform pretty much through and through. They also had two bad candidates, which would be both Joe Biden and then eventually Kamala Harris. Um, guys, do you wanna dig a little bit deeper into this autopsy? Dr. Jeter? I think it's just a funny title. An autopsy. So morbid.
Dr. Gina
Well, and so appropriate. I mean, really, you know, so many of us, we would catch ourselves. You guys remember this all the time, like advising the Democrats, if you would just stop talking about turning boys into girls and girls into boys, you know, maybe you'd get somewhere with your own electorate because there are issues that have to matter more to them. Right? And we were 100% right. And it just, you know, you look back at that time period, it was such a dark period in our country when Joe Biden was president. And I think, you know, you look at how the Democrats really haven't changed. They really haven't learned anything. They still focus all their energy on Trump and guess what? Trump won't be on any more ballots that I know of, David.
David Brody
That's right. You know, it's funny, they always talk about, well, we got the messaging wrong. Well, how about you got the message wrong? I mean, that's the real problem, right? I mean, and the message is really simple. It's two words, or I should say four words, lack of common sense. And Donald Trump came along and said,
Terrence Bates (alternate or main host)
look, you know what?
David Brody
Hey, this just in, there are two genders, as you mentioned. This just in. Maybe we should secure the border and not allow terrorists into the country. So, you know, let's be clear about this. Donald Trump would never, never, ever have been President of the United States if Democrats and Republicans had worked together to secure this border that the Democrats had, would start to bring back the blue dog Democrat, that moderate blue dog Democrat who is now, of course gone forever. At this point, Donald Trump would not be president. But he came along because politicians couldn't do their job. And so he had to come in and say, well, crap, I guess I got to do it and I'll give up the gold plated bathroom at Trump Tower. While I go ahead and fix America's problems. So that's the real autopsy and that's the truth of the matter, according to me. Thank you very much. Back to you. Now, that's true.
Terrence Bates (alternate or main host)
And sometimes the truth cuts deep.
David Brody
That's right.
Dr. Gina
Well, let's get to today's Bible verse. It's from John 14, verse 6. Jesus said to him, I am the way, the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me. Wow. This is one that can be a little controversial sometimes. It can be slung back and forth between different denominations of different religions. But that doesn't change the fact that God absolutely said that and that Jesus absolutely said that. And so I think it will continue to be one of those topics that everybody refers to in those moments. Secretary of State Marco Rupio is meeting with NATO allies in Sweden as concerns grow over possible US Troop reductions in Europe under President Trump. NATO officials and European allies say the uncertainty has raised questions about America's long term commitment to the alliance. As the war in Ukraine rolls on, Rubio expected to reassure partners that the U.S. remains committed to to NATO security and defense. Now, this comes as President Trump did announce the US is sending 5,000 troops to Poland. We want to bring in Texas Congressman Randy Weber. Congressman, this trip, why is this trip happening right now with everything else going on? And what do you think comes of it?
Congressman Randy Weber
Well, good morning, y'.
David Zier
All.
Congressman Randy Weber
And I love the verse, by the way. Jesus is the reason for the season and all those things that are attached to it. He is our savior. But anyway, thank you for that question. Look, I've paid attention to politics for a long time. I became a Republican activist, if you want to use that term, in 1983 when Ronald Reagan ran for reelection. Okay. I watched this for a long time. I've never seen the craziness that's going on right now. You had eight presidents before Donald Trump who could have done something about Iran getting a nuclear weapon, and that included, by the way, Ronald Reagan. But they didn't. And President Trump did. He understands what's at stake here. It's kind of sad if you think about it, Dr. Gina. Most of those nations over there in Europe don't contribute their, we would call their fair share to funding NATO. And yet we do. And we're going to be the backbone. And you know that we've pretty much gone it alone with taking out the Iranian nuclear threat. And so for President Trump to go on there and to send troops to Poland is a good plan in my view, because it wants to Say that we're still as strong as ever. NATO, you know, is still as strong as ever and we're not going to tolerate Russian aggression any more than it's already been taken place.
David Brody
Absolutely. Let's head to talk about the Iran US Conflict. We have an NPR headline. This is as liberal as I'll get today by actually saying the words npr and it says Republicans call off vote on Iran war resolution that was on the verge of passing. So let's talk about this. I mean, the Senate has gone ahead and said yes or as in, you know, they want to invoke the war powers resolution. What's happening in the House? This vote has now been postponed. Is there a concern, how much of a concern is there that there actually will be the votes to pass this, to say to the president, no, you can't go to war without Congress's authorization.
Terrence Bates (alternate or main host)
Yes.
Congressman Randy Weber
Think about that, David. You're looking at a Congress who, you're looking at history where all the presidents, including Ronald Reagan and those before that, have had the ability to go into these countries that are aggressive without having to have congressional approval. With the divisiveness that's in Congress today, with the craziness where they think boys ought to be made into girls and girls ought to be made into boys, all of that kind of stuff that's been violating what I would call our Christian upbringing. How are we going to say that we have to debate it before a president can make those kinds of moves and send in the troops when it's necessary. We're going to have a debate on the floor of the House. It might last two days, three days, four days. While our enemies were being prepared to attack us or our allies, it's foolishness for us to think that Congress would ever come to some kind of conclusion that would give the president the power when he or she needed it. That's a, that's foolish.
Terrence Bates (alternate or main host)
Want to shift gears a little bit and talk money by now, Congressman? You know I'm big on how our tax dollars are spent. The Hill is out with this headline which says Republicans punt on reconciliation amid furious disagreement over anti weaponization fund. Obviously there were concerns over that $1.776 billion that's being set aside or that President Trump would like to set aside to help his supporters or others who may have been targeted by the government. Senate Republicans are now leaving town for the Memorial Day weekend without having passed funding for CBP and ICE as a result of some of the add ons to that reconciliation bill. How do you see all of this ultimately playing out and I guess point B, and I've really asked most lawmakers that we've had on this show from the House, are you disenchanted with how the Senate has handled its business over at the House? You guys have been able to get your work done, pass legislation, and then it goes to the Senate only to die or to see inaction. Are you a bit, Dennis, disenchanted and disappointed at how the Senate has gone about doing its business?
Congressman Randy Weber
Well, Terrence, I've threatened to send them cases of gerita so they could get with the program. You know, and the sad thing, the sad thing is you say how they're doing their business or really the truth of the matter is how they're not doing them. We were shocked when they left town without getting their work done. But welcome to the Senate. There's been discussion about the 60 vote rule and whether or not, you know, all of that should be done away with. But we're seeing so much, I call it, my mother used to call it discombobulation in the Senate. It's hard to imagine that they, that they couldn't get things done. But they don't. They actually don't. And you pointed out earlier, it seems like they're all focused on dinging President Trump, trying to make him a villain, trying to say he's the problem, trying to say that, you know, he shouldn't do this and he shouldn't do that. And yet he has stood up for America time and time and time again. And the Senate just can't get their work done because they have the Senate Democrats and maybe even a couple Republicans now that some endorsements have come out, they don't want to work with President Trump. It's scary, it's sad. On behalf of the American people, they ought to write their senators, they ought to call their senators, they ought to say, look, enough is enough. Y' all gotta learn to do your job.
Dr. Gina
Absolutely. Well, Congressman Randy Weber, it's always an honor to have you on here. Thanks for being with us.
Congressman Randy Weber
Well, thank you all. We appreciate it. Dr. Gina, don't forget having kids is a good thing. So we kids are the only thing God can use to make adults.
Dr. Gina
It's true. And oh, how they polish us, Congressman. Oh, how they polish us.

President Trump postpones a planned executive order on artificial intelligence. Under the initial proposal, software developers would have been encouraged to share AI models with the government. 90 days before releasing the technology to the public, the administration was seeking to address the intersection of AI and national security, specifically cybersecurity risk posed by smarter and more powerful AI. But just before unveiling the plan, President Trump had second thoughts. Because I didn't like certain aspects of

The initial goal of the 90 day pre release would have been to give federal agencies enough lead time to assess how new AI models create vulnerabilities for national security before they are released publicly. The former leader of a Minnesota nonprofit profit at the center of a 250 million dollar fraud scheme is headed to prison for nearly 42 years. A judge handed down the sentence on Thursday in what the Department of Justice calls the single largest COVID 19 fraud scheme in the country. The 45 year old convict ran an agency that was named Feeding Our Future, which claimed to provide millions of meals for needy kids during the pandemic. After the sentencing, 15 more people were charged with fraud or receiving more than $90 million in federal payments for a variety of social services administered through the state government there in Minnesota. This was not a paperwork error.
Terrence Bates
It was not a technical violation. This was organized threat, organized theft that exploited the most vulnerable children in America,

Get this, the FBI says one of the suspects they were looking to arrest jumped off a fourth story balcony trying to avoid getting locked up. Well, this year's Atlantic hurricane season is predicted to be less active than usual. The national oceanic and Atmospheric Administration is forecasting in between eight and 15 named storms this year, with between three and six of them growing into a hurricane status. As many as three of them are projected to be major hurricanes. A normal hurricane season, by the way, has 14 named storms with half becoming hurricanes and three reaching major hurricane level. Forecasters believe this year will be the lowest overall activity since 2015. Nine of the last 10 Atlantic hurricane season seasons have been above normal with a near record three category 5 hurricanes being recorded just last year. With that, let's get a quick check of your local forecast. Weather Nation meteorologist Tracey Anthony joining us with more on what you can expect in your neck of the woods. Tracy, good morning.
Cancer Survivor Testimonial
Hey, good morning. You know what, Terrence? I've been talking about it all week. We've been talking about storms and rain and flooding. We've seen flooding in some major metro areas and that is going to see stick around for the weekend. I feel like I need to figure out more creative ways to say it because I sound like a broken record. But a very active pattern east of the Rockies. So flooding severe continues the next three days. But if you're out west, we are going to have a high pressure center building in and you'll remain mostly dry. So it is going to be a relatively nice weekend. Now for the day today to kind of get you out the door, we we have storms that are moving through the mid Mississippi Valley into the Ohio Valley and some storms across the Dakotas and the Plains as that low works out across Nebraska. So widespread rain and we're talking very impressive rainfall rates. So you can see where it's hot and humid. But we've had this Gulf air that just continues to want to stream north and that's why the rainfall totals have been so impressive the last couple of days. If we look out the next three days, look at this east of the Rockies, we are talking any area you see in the yellow, that's at least 3 inches of rain expected. So this is much needed for the Southeast, but it can cause some big concerns when we're talking about too much of a good thing in a short period of time. This weekend, a few events. The Indy 500 is on Sunday and they're going to be battling some rain showers, too.
Terrence Bates (alternate or main host)
Darren's Ooh, that's never good rain at the Indy 500. I've seen a couple of races have to be delayed because of rain. All right, we'll check in with you next hour for our hometown forecast. Looking forward to that. Tracy. Good to see you.

That is what I'm talking about. Franklin, Pennsylvania, about 70 miles north or so of Pittsburgh this morning here on American Sunrise. Welcome back everybody to the big show. Secretary of State Marco Rubio says there are, quote, good signs diplomatic talks with Iran could move forward. Here's the disclaimer. But warns key disputes over the Strait of Hormuz could jeopardize progress. Really? What a shock. Rubio says any proposal involving a tolling system in the Strait would be unacceptable. Of course it would be. You like how I'm giving commentary throughout this read here? He adds that if diplomacy fails, the administration has other options as talks and proposals continue. All right, let's bring in the US Deputy Director for the National Council of the Resistance of Iran. That would be Alireza Jafarzadeh. Alireza, thanks for being here. So, you know, I gotta tell you, week after week goes by, I know President Trump is wanting to give peace a chance, but what do you think will eventually happen? Because this is Iran. This is what Iran does. They just delay, delay, delay. So am I missing something, or is this just Iran biding time just to fight another day?
Alireza Jafarzadeh (Iranian Opposition Representative)
First of all, good morning to all of you. Second, that you're absolutely correct. This is the strategy of the Iranian regime. They simply want to punt it as much as they can. They want to buy time, they want to delay things, and in between, to see if they can, number one, regroup or gain some kind of concessions. And they project themselves as though they are at the driver's seat. In reality, that's not the case. This is a regime that is extremely vulnerable and weak internally, both in terms of the economy, but also they have a population that they have to take care of. You know, 90 million Iranian population, a vast majority of them are opposed to this regime. Remember, back in January, there was a major uprising in all 31 provinces of Iran, and the regime had to kill thousands upon thousands to stay in power. In February, just five days before the war started, the main Iranian opposition, the Mekhi, launched a massive attack on the headquarters of then Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei, the father to Mujtaba. And, you know, showing the Iranian population that it's not over, the killing of the protesters is not the end of it. Rather, it moves things into a higher phase so that opposition is there. I think what the US Must keep in mind all the time, that this is a weak regime and they don't have their leverage, and that's why you need to deal with them from this position of strength and firmness.
Terrence Bates (alternate or main host)
Ali Razi, to your point that this is a RIC regime, who is the regime? Is it the irgc? Is it Mostaba Khamenei? The Ayatollah who's been in hiding for like three months right now. Who would you say is actually in control? It seems that the regime, as we're calling it, is splintered.
Alireza Jafarzadeh (Iranian Opposition Representative)
Well, it has always been. This regime is a theocracy controlled by the supreme leader. It was Ali Khamenei, now his son. But to stay in power, they need a military structure. And that's where the irgc, the Revolutionary Guards, come into picture. That's where the much of the resources of the country over the past few years has been spent on strengthening the irgc, giving them the leverage with the missiles, the nuclear weapons program with their proxies and all of that. That situation hasn't changed, meaning both the combination of Mojtaba Khamenei and the Revolutionary Guards. But what is different is that both of them are weaker, both because they have received major blows, but also the population that they are very defiant against them. And the opposition is not just inside Iran. Outside of Iran is like that. You know, just last week we had a major rally right here in Washington. Thousands of Iran Americans came to the capital in support of Mrs. Mariam Rajavi, the opposition leader, calling for end to the execution of political prisoners, which is another sign of weakness. And there is a bigger rally coming up in Paris. Come June 20. Next month, as many as 100,000 are expected to gather to call for ending the regime and supporting the leader, Mrs. Mariam Rajavi.
David Brody
Wow.

Well, Hezbollah, of course, we all know, indoctrinating children through its scout movement. According to a report highlighted by Fox News, critics say the group uses youth programs to glorify martyrdom. This is no shock to Americans. We've known this for a long time. And prepare children for future conflict with Israel. Hezbollah linked scout leaders have described these programs as religious, cultural and civic activities, denying that members are required to join these armed groups. These are happening where?
Alireza Jafarzadeh (Iranian Opposition Representative)
Well, certainly we're talking about Hezbollah in Lebanon. But keep in mind, Hezbollah was built, funded, trained by the Iranian regime. And they pursued the same ideology, the same strategy of the Iranian regime. Years before that, during the Iran Iraq War, that was between 1980-88, the Iranian regime used children, very young children, you know, middle school children, to clear the minefields, souping the mines. That's the strategy they use. Hundreds of thousands of children were sent to their death, used by the regime. Even now today, they're trying to employ them in the ranks of Revolutionary Guards. But I think in the case of Iran, the younger generation are not beguiled by that. You have a lot of young people who are standing up against the regime rejecting that ideology. And that's why many of the victims of the killings during the protests were actually very young people who stood up against the regime.
David Brody
Ali Reza Jafarzadeh, great to have you today. Great seeing you.

All right, welcome back. We're in Bristol, Tennessee. Well, I mean we're not actually there but like mentally there in this moment. That's where this picture took place. This is American sunrise. I'm Dr. G. Thanks for joining us. Time now for today's health news that is sponsored by the Wellness Company and under the microscope today, ticks health officials warning Americans to be extra care. I do not ever want to see a tick under a microscope. They are the creepiest. I love all animals and even look, I love jumping spiders, I love snakes. I love reptiles. Ticks is where I just draw the line and they are warning us to be careful this summer and especially this weekend as things start to heat up and tick season intensifies. Concerns growing over aggressive tick species like the Lone Star tick and the Gulf coast tick. A recent study found both species can survive inside homes for days and in some cases weeks after being brought in from the outdoors. Researchers found Gulf coast ticks survived an average of 18 days indoors while Lone Star tick lasted about 11 days. Health experts are particularly concerned about the Lone Star tick, which is being linked to the Alpha Gal syndrome. You've heard about it. This is a rare condition that can trigger serious allergic reactions to red meat and dairy products. The tick's range has expanded northward in recent years as warmer temperatures and larger deer populations help it seem spread into more states. And as you know, farmers are finding large boxes full of thousands of ticks on their farms that have been Airdropped there. Accusations, conspiracies, if you want to call it that, abound on this issue and is a big topic of conversation among conservatives who know that definitely there are people that are not incapable of such horrible things as dropping these Alpha gal Lone Star ticks onto farmer's land to further proliferate an allergy to red meat and dairy products. So do be very careful this weekend. I highly recommend looking into functional medicine answers for this and we will be giving you those on this show as things go along. Are we on the verge of another pandemic? Is the hype real? Should we be worried? Is this just another effort to terrorize Americans before an election? Who do you trust? Well, Wellness Company might be a good suggestion. You see and hear from their doctors all the time on this network. You know their products are the gold standard when it comes to keeping you safe and healthy. Wellness Company makes sure you're prepared for whatever happens with their series of prescription med kits. These kits have an assortment of life saving medications and guidebooks to tell you how to use the meds in the kits. Additionally, the Wellness Company offers a variety of products from parasite cleanses to methylene blue weight loss, so much more. These can help you stay healthy and live a longer life. Be prepared, not scared. Go to TWC Health RAV. Give it an order. That's TWC Health RAV. Use the promo code RAV. That'll save you 10% DBRO these ticks, I'm telling you, and I've been traipsing through the woods for days on end looking for this puppy in Ohio. And I'll tell you what, those ticks were on my mind. I was definitely doing the whole, you know, check. I will say I didn't find a single tick, not a single one.
David Brody
Well, that's good because you were searching. I mean, you were in the muck and mire, if you will, in the woods.
Dr. Gina
Lots of scrapes. If you look at the side of my face, I've got scrapes all over from going under brush. You can't believe how thick brush can be in just a little forest, you know. But no ticks. So praise God for that.
David Brody
Yeah, well, and we should point out you were doing that in the middle of the night too.
Dr. Gina
But you know, these farmers finding these boxes of ticks that they. I'm sure you've seen this on social media. Absolutely terrifying, David. Absolutely terrifying. Who's dropping boxes of ticks in? I know we all know who we think it is. I'm not going to say it because it's alleged.
David Brody
Yeah, no doubt about that. All right, a follow up on that soon. Former Federal Reserve Governor Kevin Warsh is set to be sworn in as the new chair of the Federal Reserve today. It'll be a White House ceremony hosted by President Trump. Of course, it's drawing major attention from Wall street, obviously, and Washington. Warsh was confirmed by the Senate in a mostly party line vote, 5445. He's going to replace Jerome Powell as the nation's top central banker. By the way, the swearing in ceremony also marks a break from tradition. Usually, Fed chairs are typically sworn in at the Federal Reserve itself. Not in this case. Warsh takes over as the Fed faces persistent inflation pressures, debates over interest rate hikes, growing questions about the central bank's independence from political influence. All right, well, joining us now with analysis is the founder of Stormwall Advisors. That would be Michael Wilkerson. Michael, good morning. You know, it's gonna be interesting to watch the relationship between President Trump and Warsh this week. By the way, the President said he's gonna let Warsh do what he wants to do. That's an exact quote. I'll let him do what he wants to do. Your thoughts?
Michael Wilkerson (Economist/Analyst)
Well, you just showed the image of the speedway in Tennessee and we are coming into racing season. Kevin Warsh is about to step into the driver's seat and he's been given the authority, as you just said, to drive away and win the race. The problem is he stepped into the vehicle and all the lights are flashing red. His indicator lights are saying, oh, we've got high inflation, we've got problems with pricing, we've got banks that won't lend, we've got a consumer that feels a bit overwhelmed. So he's, if anyone can do this, he's been in the driver's seat before. He understands the challenges ahead. And I think he's got to recognize that he's caught between two worlds. He's got the pressure from President Trump and of course, all of us who would love to see interest rates go down to see mortgages go down at the same time. We just saw the inflation report. We see how fuel prices, food prices, everything is going back up. That's putting a lot of pressure for Chairman Warsh to raise rates. And in fact, the last Federal Open Market Committee just with a poll thereof indicates that most of the governors do believe that we are likely to see rates come up again by the end of the year. So we're caught in a difficult situation. He's got to navigate Michael.
Dr. Gina
The Fed's most recent policy meeting showed a growing number of officials believe inflation may remain higher for longer. This is really bad news, especially to families who are trying to plan their summers, their children's college educations, driving age, things like that, gas prices, energy prices, global instability, tariff related cost pressures. While the Fed kept its benchmark rate, Michael, steady at 3.5% to 3.75%, several policymakers discussed the possibility that future rate hikes could become necessary if inflation doesn't cool. Gosh. Are Americans prepared, though, for the possibility that interest rates could actually spike again? And what does that mean for mortgages, credit cards, the economy? And frankly, Michael, I hate to make this political, but midterms.
Michael Wilkerson (Economist/Analyst)
So the governors, Fed governors are just coming aware of the same reality that Americans have been living for a long time who know that inflation is there, who know that it's persistent, who know that inflation is not going away. So what's happening here with the short term interest rates being raised, all the Fed can do is control the overnight rate, the short term rate. The bond market is already signaling inflation is persistent. Rates are up. So unfortunately, the news is that there is no indication that mortgages are going to get any less expensive. And it really is tough because when you have this combination of high rates which affects everything from credit card balances, student loans, most importantly, inflation is still there. Prices are still going up. What we need to see is in that environment, real wages come up and see job opportunities that provide a living wage.
Dr. Gina
Absolutely. Well, Michael Wilkerson, we always appreciate your expertise on this show, even when you don't have the best news. But there is some good news in the economy. And I think I'm really hopeful anyway that this is a new leaf. Michael Wilkerson, thanks for being with us this morning.
Michael Wilkerson (Economist/Analyst)
Thanks, everyone.

All right, now that we are caffeinated, it's time to stay awake, not woke. And who is woke today? Rock legend Bruce Springsteen. He's bringing his politically charged Land of Hopes and Dreams tour to Cleveland this week. With no kings messaging and recent criticism of President Trump's immigration policies, the 76 year old rocker has called Trump a quote, wannabe king leading a quote, rogue government language featured in the tour's promotion. Springsteen has a long history of political activism, including campaigning for John Kerry in 2004. But his latest anti Trump message is again sparking debate over whether fans come to his shows for rock and roll or for political commentary. Joining us now to discuss is Barry Morgenstein. Barry, thank you so much for being with us on the show this morning. You rock. I'm so excited about your new book. We're going to talk about that in just a moment. But you are someone who has photographed every rock star imaginable. So I want to get your opinion of Springsteen's recent antics.
Barry Morgenstein (Rock Photographer)
Well, I'll start off by saying that Bruce Springsteen is not in rock and soul. So, yeah, not a fan. Luckily, I've never been a big fan of Bruce and so I'm not missing, I don't have to stop listening to his music. Obviously, I don't agree with anything he says. I don't think he's that bright. He doesn't know what he's talking about. Just, you know, sing your songs. You know, of course, don't alienate half your audience, which, you know, I'm guessing a lot of the kids who grew up in the 70s, 80s are not agreeing with a lot of his statements. So, you know, I know he doesn't have to worry. I guess he's got enough money, but still, it's just, you know, Stop it already.
Patriotic Music Promoter
It's just that seems to be the general consensus among the fans. Stick to the music. Stick to the rock and roll. And that is what your book is doing, Rock and soul. I can't wait to hear more about this. You have photographed, like I said, every rock star out there. This was so cool. And reading a little bit more about you, Barry. We actually have something in common. When I was younger, I wanted to be Jimmy Page, too. So tell me about your book and tell me what is featured in it.
Barry Morgenstein (Rock Photographer)
Well, we definitely both can't be Jimmy Page. Yeah. So, you know, I started off as a guitar player. And yeah, like I said in the book, I wanted to be Jimmy Page. And the job was already taken, so I figured I'd just pick up a camera. And also realizing I did not have the talent to be a musician, so I started photographing my friends who were all musicians, and I kind of learned my craft, got a job as an assistant to a big rock and roll photographer, went on my own, started shooting concerts for rock and roll magazines. And after all these years, people kept saying to me, you know, my wife said, you got to do a book. It's your legacy. You have to. You have to get this in a coffee table book.
Marty Bryan (Venue Owner)
And we did it.
Barry Morgenstein (Rock Photographer)
We went. We found Ballast Books, great publishing company, and we did it came out in November, and it's been a top seller on Amazon. And people are really loving. And it's, you know, it's got more than rock and roll. It's got blues, it's got country, it's got reggae, folk, pop, jazz.
David Zier
Wow.
Barry Morgenstein (Rock Photographer)
You know, so I think people. I think people. If you like photography, if you like all kinds of music, you'll love the book.
Patriotic Music Promoter
So it's an absolutely beautiful collection. With only 30 seconds left with you here, I have to ask, who do you think had the most soul? Who was the coolest on stage? The best person that you photographed in your book?
Barry Morgenstein (Rock Photographer)
I don't know if it's the.
Pastor Mike Novotny
One of the best.
Barry Morgenstein (Rock Photographer)
I feel gonna. If I have to say the most soul was maybe Stevie Ray Vaughan, because, you know, he's. He was a great bluesman and blues always has the most soul. So maybe Stevie Ray Vaughan, BB King. As far as soul goes, other great artists were Chuck Berry, Paul McCartney, you know, the Stones. So it's, it's, it's hard to pick one.
Patriotic Music Promoter
Wow, the Stones. I think that's my favorite. So much rock and roll for a Friday here. This is great. Barry Morgenstein, thanks for waking up early us. We so appreciate you being on the show.

in the beginning, God bless created the
Terrence Bates (alternate or main host)
heaven and the earth. Welcome back to American Sunrise. It's now time for our moment of faith, which is brought to us by Lee Greenwood and the God Bless the USA Bible in focus today, a brand new book that's giving Christian newlyweds a faith based guide to navigating their first year of marriage. The book is titled Newlywed A Christian Guide for Loving Year one. And it's by Pastor Mike Novotny and it covers communication, finances, intimacy and family life, all through a biblical lens. The book encourages couples to build a strong foundation that's rooted in faith. Mike Novotny joins us now to discuss. Mike, so good to see you.
Pastor Mike Novotny
Hey, thanks for having me, Terrence.
Terrence Bates (alternate or main host)
So unfortunately, you're 23 years late. I could have used this 23 years ago when my wife and I got married. You know, one of the things that strikes me this is for the first year of marriage. But as I was reading some of the highlights of the book, I was thinking this is really something that people should read before they get married. That way you're having those conversations like premarital counseling.
Pastor Mike Novotny
Yeah. The pastors of our church always say premarital counseling is the best if people would actually believe they needed it. But what we've kind of found is that people actually have to be married. They have to go through the things and realize, oh my goodness. Actually, for this book, I interviewed 20 newlyweds who had been married one year or less. And I just asked them, like, what did you think you were ready for? And then what actually happened in that first year? And that's where so much of the content of the book came from, of people saying, oh, I thought we had finances or communication or the relationship with the in laws or intimacy kind of down but there's so many things that I didn't know. So this is kind of like a crash course guide. When you finally realize you need it, boom, here it is. And here's some good biblical answers to find.
Terrence Bates (alternate or main host)
Why focus on the first year? Because most people think that the first year of marriage is the honeymoon. It's the subsequent years where it really gets tough.
Pastor Mike Novotny
Yeah, I mean, just think if you go in a straight line, you end up in the spot you want to be. But if you're just off, like 2 degrees during that, like, first, like, stage of marriage over 2, 5, 10, 20 years, you actually end up, you know, way in a spot that you never anticipated being. So that's what we thought. Let's lay a biblical foundation. Lots of Jesus, lots of humility, lots of practicality, so that a year or two or five or 50 from now, people are going to end up in that God honoring, beautifully united, loving and respectful spot.
Terrence Bates (alternate or main host)
You know, I think it's so critical that you put the focus on Jesus, put this focus on God in the middle of it, because that takes the focus off of the individual. And I'll just speak for myself. I'm sorry, but I'm testifying here, Pastor. You know, early on in my marriage, it was, oh, you've hurt me. Oh, this happened to me. Rather than focusing on, here's what God calls on me to do in this marriage. And that seems critical. That's something that I had to learn over time that I think has been an invaluable lesson.
Pastor Mike Novotny
Yes, thousand percent.
Barry Morgenstein (Rock Photographer)
The.
Pastor Mike Novotny
The number one most spoken quote in my 23 years of marriage. That has been true every week and every month and every year is this. Me first makes a mess, but you first makes us blessed. No matter what the subject, when I'm thinking of myself first, when I'm the good one and you're the bad one, and I'm kind of like Jesus and you're kind of like the devil, whenever I turn, like, inward on myself, it just blows up. Because God opposes the proud, but he gives so much grace to the humble. So if I can put you first, if I can try to serve you like Jesus first served me, if I can be the husband who loves his wife in the way that Jesus loved the church, as Ephesians 5 says, that's when marriage gets so good. That's when we reciprocate humility for humility, service for service, and you end up with the kind of marriage that God wants you to have.
Terrence Bates (alternate or main host)
I needed that word 23 years ago. Lord knows Doc. Pastor. How can folks find the book?
Pastor Mike Novotny
Yeah, just go to Amazon. Look for Newlywed by Pastor Mike Novotny. I hope you enjoy it.
Terrence Bates (alternate or main host)
Absolutely. You already gave me a good word today Pastor. Appreciate it. Have a great weekend.
David Brody

Coming up on this second hour of American Sunrise, President Trump hits the campaign trail, this time for New York Congressman Mike Lawlor. What can we expect from today's event and who's going to be there? We'll tell you. Plus, the communist government in China is calling on the United States to stop using coercion and threats against Cuba following the indictment of Raul Castro. We'll talk about the escalating tension straight ahead. And then later, America first, detractors calling Congressman Thomas Massie's defeat in Kentucky, quote, the death of maga. This as Trump aligned candidate Ed Gowrine moves ahead to the midterms. We'll unpack his comments later in the hour. Those stories and so much more right now on this second hour of American Sunrise. Oh, my goodness, you guys are hilarious. All right, let's get to a couple of quick headlines, guys. President Trump postpones a planned executive order on artificial intelligence. Under the initial proposal, software developers would have been encouraged to share AI models with the comp with the government. Excuse me. Some 90 days before releasing the technology to the public, the administration was seeking to address the intersection of AI and national security, specifically cybersecurity risks posed by smarter and more powerful AI. But just before unveiling the plan, President Trump had second thoughts, saying that he doesn't want to impact the business of AI. And the former leader of a Minnesota nonprofit at the center of a $250 million fraud scheme is headed to prison for nearly 40, 42 years. A judge handed down the sentence on Thursday in what the Department of Justice calls the single biggest COVID 19 fraud scheme in the country. The 45 year old convict ran an agency named Feeding Our Future, which claimed to provide millions of meals for needy kids during the pandemic. After the sentencing, 15 more people were charged with fraud for receiving more than $90 million in federal payments for a variety of social services administered through the state of Minnesota. And this year's Atlantic hurricane season is predicted to be less active than usual. The national oceanic and Atmospheric Administration is forecasting between eight and 15 named storms this year, with between three and six of them growing to hurricane status, as many as three of them projected to be major hurricanes. A normal hurricane season, by the way, has 14 names, storms with half becoming hurricanes and three reaching major hurricane level. Forecasters believe this year is going to be the lowest overall activity since 2015. That's a quick check of your headlines. Now let's get a quick check of your forecast. Weather Nation meteorologist Tracy Anthony standing by with your hometown forecast. TT Good morning.
Cancer Survivor Testimonial
Hey, good morning. We've been talking all week about rain and storms, especially in Texas. And Gene John yesterday on getter was talking about how his backyard was a lake because of all the moisture. And we're going to continue to have chances for rain through the long weekend and even into next week. So a very active pattern. The Gulf coast is where we're going to have a little more activity. We're still expecting about 3 to 5 inches of rain over the next three, four days. But taking you up north to Lexington, Michigan. This from Rumble Megan. Kristen on Rumble. She wanted a forecast for her cottage weekend. Let me just say, I love how they call them cottages in Michigan. I'm from Minnesota, where we call them Cabins. But that was definitely a new word for me when I went out to Michigan to a cottage one summer. You're gonna deal with some rain on Saturday, temperatures a little bit cooler, but by Monday, we're gonna be back in the 70s and temperatures, temperatures will be leveling off right around some seasonable levels. Now, for the long weekend, if you're east of the Rockies, it's going to be pretty soggy. You're going to get a good amount of rain, some severe storms possible, and localized flooding. If you're out west of the Rockies, it's going to be pretty nice, sunny and dry. So enjoy it. Now, we did talk to aaa. Just wanted to point this out, Terence, because I thought it was interesting. Travel is actually up this year on the road, which with gas prices, I was surprised by.
Terrence Bates (alternate or main host)
Yeah, that makes two of us. But I'm sorry, I want to get back to the cottage versus cabin thing. The same thing, just different words, just different names. Or is a cottage different from a cabin?
Cancer Survivor Testimonial
You know, I think they're the same thing because I've been to cabins in Minnesota and then I went to a cottage in Michigan. Same thing. But if I'm wrong, let me know.
Terrence Bates (alternate or main host)
All right, well, I'll take a cabin over a cottage any day just because it's from Minnesota. So I'll take a cabin over.
Cancer Survivor Testimonial
See, I think cottage is so cute, though. Like, oh, let's go to the cottage.
Terrence Bates (alternate or main host)
I'm sorry. You know, when you say cottage to me, the next thing that comes to mind is cheese. And I can't stand cottage cheese. So that's why I'm gonna go with the cabin. But I'm just that shallow. Anyway. Tracy, good to see you. Have a great weekend. Weekend.
Cancer Survivor Testimonial
Thanks. You, too. We'll see you next week.
Terrence Bates (alternate or main host)
All right, see you next week. All right, let's get you over to David now. David, good morning.
David Brody
Good morning. And I agree with you. T. Bates. Cottage cheese. Yuck. Disgusting. You gotta stop at cottage. Like, even just stop at cottage?
Terrence Bates (alternate or main host)
Yes. Even just to look at cottage cheese.
David Brody
Bumpy stuff. It's like, what's it. Oh, no. Okay. From cottage cheese. President Trump. President Trump is visiting Rockland County, New York, today for an event with Republican Congressman Mike Lawler. The appearance comes as Lawlor faces a tough reelection race in one of the nation's most competitive House districts. It always is. Trump and Lawlor are expected to highlight tax cuts and other Republican priorities during the event. Let's now bring in Rav correspondent and the host of Breaking Point, David Zier with the Burning Question. David, cottage cheese, yes or no? That's the burning question this morning.
David Zier
Gina has.
David Brody
Okay.
David Zier
With salt and pepper, please.
Cancer Survivor Testimonial
Yes.
Dr. Gina
And lemon pepper. I love lemon pepper on cottage. You could put anything on cottage cheese. Raw cottage cheese is so healthy for you. It has protein and probiotics. It's so good. So good. You guys need to try it when you come here.
David Brody
David, we'll be back to you after about three minutes with Gina on cottage cheese.
Dr. Gina
Gina's cottage cheese dieter. I, David Zier, agree with you on that.
David Zier
All right, that's good. That's good.
David Brody
What are we talking about? Oh, yeah, this Waller event. Yeah, sorry. Go ahead.
Cancer Survivor Testimonial
Yeah.
David Zier
So we're here on the ground at Rockland County Community College. Trump expected to deliver remarks on the economy at 3pm and this is a critical district. This is the 17th district where Mike Lawler on seated Sean Patrick Maloney, the chief Democratic fundraiser three and a half, four years ago. And it's really critical. And he won that election election by a small margin. But in 24, he won only through a plurality. And it was the Conservative vote, a 4.5% of the vote, that put him over the top here. Now, this is a tough district to keep and the MAGA crowd isn't always happy with Lawler, but he was critical in getting the OBBB done along with five or six other congressmen because he also got the salt caps lifted here. We're in a high property tax area just north of New York City. His district encompasses Putnam County, Rockland County, Potaw, Westchester County. The salt caps that Trump lowered to 10,000 in his first term. In the second term, Lawler got them raised as part of the deal to vote for the OBBB to 40,000. So I was at the Besson Economic Roundtable here about a month and a half ago, and I met with small business owners who are benefiting. No tax on tips, on overtime, but also capital expenditures. Genentech, they toured the facility. Biopharmaceuticals. This used to be big IBM territory. Those jobs don't exist anymore, but new jobs coming in. But they can deduct 100% of the equipment costs upfront because of the big beautiful bill. It's going to be a boon for business and manufacturing to spend a million dollars on a machine. You say 370,000 or so dollars on that just in taxes here. And what's really important to these people here are the property taxes. People paying 10, 20, 30, 40,000 a year. 70% of tax bill are the schools here. So this is really critical here. There's a lot of other issues going on. We expect Trump to make his remarks at about 3pm There are some protests outside, heavy security. There's dump trucks lining the front. This is a big Hasidic community up here. Economy's doing pretty well. It's a commuter base for the five boroughs. But we know what's going on in New York City that could shift as well. So we got to pay close attention here. And will the voters be in line to vote for Lawler and for the Republican ticket, as the Cook Political Report is estimating? You know, the Republicans may gain seven seats because of the Louisiana versus Calais, but they're still favoring the Democrats to win. So we have to see how this pans out in the next few months with inflation and other GDP is probably going to grow 3%. So that's good news for Trump.
Dr. Gina
You know, you have the best accent, David Zier. And I'll tell you what, it took me like 30 seconds to figure out what, who in the, what in the world you were talking about. Lala Law. Law. Who's law Law.
Terrence Bates (alternate or main host)
I couldn't figure it out.
Dr. Gina
You can make fun of my accent, too. I know I have one, especially when I'm really tired. But David, the real issue is that China is escalating its rhetoric against the US following the indictment of former Cuban President Raul Castro. Chinese officials accusing the White House of coercion and threats against the fellow Communist state and reaffirming support for Cuba. How do we expect the Chinese government to respond as these tensions with Havana continue to rise?
David Zier
I guess they want to continue their spying operation out of there in parts of South America, but Trump's got a handle on that with these new agreements with the South American, Caribbean, Latin American countries. I don't think China's going to be the force in the Western Hemisphere they once were, especially with the Venezuela situation. And they may be forced to come to the table if they want some of that oil. I don't know if it's a big threat to us right now. I think we're going to have to pay close attention. I think there's big changes coming in Cuba real soon.
Terrence Bates (alternate or main host)
David, really quickly, before we let you go, want to talk about President Trump's plan for that 250 foot arc arch. Excuse me. It's going to be like the arc Triomphe near Arlington Cemetery. Officials with the administration recently said that the project can be completed without congressional approval. That's great news for President Trump. They also note that lawmakers authorized a similar project that was never built a century ago. However, others are saying that the Memorial Circle, which is managed by the National Park Service, is considered protected land, and monuments there would require congressional authorization. What's your take on all of this? Is this actually going to get completed?
David Zier
I understand the Trump administration is maintaining that zone by the Interior Department. And they can do this. I was at the Rio Arc de Triomphe in Paris and the Champs de Lysees. As long as they don't put a traffic circle they drive like maniacs over. I think it'll be beautiful. It's going to be huge. Let's see what happens here. An ambitious plan nonetheless, David.
Dr. Gina
I love it. The real beauty.
Terrence Bates (alternate or main host)
I got your shit here, New Yorker.
David Brody
I stand with your accent. Stand with you. I'm a New Yorker. I will take your order and I'll give you some water.
Dr. Gina
Well, I'm going to ask Lala what they think about that.
Terrence Bates (alternate or main host)
Right.
David Zier
Sounds like a plan.
David Brody
All right, David's here. You never know where David's going to be in America. Thank you, David. Appreciate it. Thank you every. All right, back with more American Sunrise in two minutes and then we'll take your order.

New York City. That's an artsy shot. Zoran Mamdani, still mayor, sadly providing clearly commie cocktails during happy hour there in New York. All right, welcome back everybody to the big show. Look, it's time to hear from you. Our RAV viewers. Join us now with the RAV chat room report. Our good friend, RAV family member, chat room dweller. That sounds so negative. A chat room dweller? No, he's the most positive guy there. It's here. It's carefree Largo joining us this morning. Careful Free. Good morning. What do you got in the chat this week, David?
Carefree Largo (Chat Room Host)
It has been an incredibly busy week in chat and the chat dwellers along with me have been as active as ever. Your friend who was just here and Mine. David Zier reported that Washington, D.C. is booming under President Trump while New York City faces its challenges under its new mayor, Zoran Mandani and his tax the rich agenda. It could accelerate, David says, a long decline in America's financial capital. Well, maga, GMA and the Getter Chat said everyone with money needs to leave New York City and take their business with them. In short, most of the people in the chat kind of feel like the Big Apple is beginning to rot a little bit. Adventurer from the Getter Chat said New Yorkers got who and what they voted for. So may they live long and suffer. Trust their pain grows daily.
Terrence Bates (alternate or main host)
Ouch.
Carefree Largo (Chat Room Host)
Ouch indeed. American Sunrise reported that POTUS is trying to avoid blowing Iran off the map. One of our favorites, Representative Mark Alford was on the show and he said that President Trump was applying a maximum pressure account there to Iran to force them to make a deal before the crisis spirals into a much wider Middle east conflict. And the Ravagers spoke right out on that. Linda Rice said, it's like a game of Deal or no Deal. And it kind of seems like that to an awful lot of people. In the chat, Dale Harapot wrote, iran signing a paper saying they won't have a nuclear weapon is meaningless. It's like Jesse James saying he won't rob banks. And, you know, you kind of get the feeling that he might be right. One of my favorite names in social media, Rick the Bobby wrote, I would, I would hate to see the citizens suffer because their wicked government hates the world. Let that sink in just a minute closer to home. Switching the focus to the island nation of Cuba, which is again in the news. David, they're threatening us from only 90 miles away. It was again Representative Mark Alford on the show that told American Sunrise, again speaking about applying maximum pressure this time on Cuba. As the concerns grow over drones, communism influence, China gaining ground in the Western hemisphere. The Rav Chat family spoke right out. Cesar's girl wrote, communist influence, they are commies. That doesn't change overnight. And you know, she's right at Pippin12 said, I want to see this kind of attention given to the Islamization of America. And I'm not sure about the word, but I understand the sentiment and I have to say on some levels, I totally agree. Needless to say, there is growing optimism that Cuba can find a better way for the great Cuban people moving forward. And speaking of good people with a bad government, David, you don't have to look to Cuba. You can just turn to the west and look at Our state of California again. Another big story from John Solomon reporting. The California election fraud operation has lasted two decades, 20 years. Adding that the DOJ has brought two dozen cases in the last year alone involving non citizen voting and ballot stuffing. Now Irene04 wrote in the chat, california is the king of fraud. I tend to agree with that. And the next 64 says arrest all non citizens who illegally voted. They committed a felony in doing so. And JPJ65 had something incredibly interesting to say. If we're able to bring California back, it would make all the difference in this country. Good people, bad government. Adding that I live in California and California is a red state. If you just take away the masses and you gotta love it.
David Brody
Carefree, you can go on and on for sure. We got. I gotta run. We appreciate you so much and nice primary colors this morning. All right, we gotta run.

Joining us right now with a special preview of the event is the owner of the venue, Marty Bryan. Good morning. This sounds like so much fun. I actually wanted to come to this event. Tell us about what you're looking forward to the most this weekend.
Marty Bryan (Venue Owner)
Well, I'll tell you, Marty B's was created with one purpose and that was to create spaces for people to come together, connect with their friends and family and celebrate life. And what better way to celebrate life on Memorial Day weekend than to be partnering with Real America's Voice and hosting an incredible lineup of worship entertainment, broadcast and connect people. So we're excited to be celebrating America's finest and being able to do it here in our amazing Marty B's location here in Bartonville, Texas. So we're fired up about it.
Dr. Gina
I really love this, Marty. I'll tell you why. Well, first of all, I love your place. Been there before. I think it's fantastic. Wanted to be there this weekend, but, you know, I always grapple on Memorial Day with, you know, the somberness of what it stands for. Right. But knowing that if I or my loved one had sacrificed in such a way, I would probably want people to celebrate the freedom I fought for. That's exactly what this event is all about.
Marty Bryan (Venue Owner)
Yes, exactly. And, you know, I'm so grateful for all the sacrifices that have been made for us to be able to have the opportunity to celebrate the way that we do. Being able to have a place where we can celebrate and worship our Lord and Savior, be able to celebrate the

The final day of trading for this week getting ready to get underway at the New York Stock Exchange. We're going to hear the applause momentarily, and then we'll take you there live as the bell rings. Also, just a reminder, the markets are going to be closed on Monday. So not only is this a final day of trading for this week, but we're also going to get a little bit of a break on Monday as there won't be any trading in. The markets will be closed. There's the applause. You can see it here, here and see it happening. The bell is going to ring there. You have it. So the markets are now officially open. And just like that, here's how things are looking. Green almost from top to bottom. At least the very top of our board is green. That means the dow S P500 and the NASDAQ are all starting on a very positive note, all starting high. Hopefully that means that it's going to be a good day of trading. The bottom of our screens, which includes Vixen precious metals as well as crude oil, all down at the moment. So we'll continue to monitor this for you throughout the day. Here's a question for you. Do you owe back taxes or do you have unfiled tax returns? Maybe you filed every year but you still keep owing or you're retired and you got hit with a surprise tax bill? Are you a business owner with a tax bill that you can't seem to afford? Did you take early money from your 401k and now you owe? However your tax tax issue started, the result is the same. Your balance isn't going down and the penalties are growing. Interest is compounding and many of you are about to owe yet again this year with no plan in place. So stop what you're doing right now and call Tax Network usa. The IRS can garnish your wages, levy your bank accounts, even take your home or your retirement. With over 15 years in business, they have seen and resolved it all for taxpayers. They've helped taxpayers nationwide settle over a billion dollars worth of tax debt. Breaking news from Real America's Voice.
Terrence Bates (alternate or main host)
We are back with breaking news as we take a pulse of politics here. Marco Rubio speaking at NATO right now. Let's listen in.
David Zier
And so, you know, we'll continue to reevaluate. That's been an ongoing process that started from the first day of this administration and throughout it in coordination with NATO countries. So none of this is surprising, although, you know, obviously I understand why it creates some, you know, nervousness. But I think there's a broad recognition that there are going to be eventually less US Troops in Europe than there has historically been for a variety of reasons. In fact, there was a surge after the, you know, for example, the movement of troops from, from Germany that was announced a week ago. The Germans didn't freak out about it because they knew it just took us back to the 2022 numbers and it was, I think, a reduction of less than 11 or 12% of our total presence there. And understand, sometimes when these numbers come out, these aren't just people with guns. These are support staff. I mean, there's all kinds of other things. These aren't just fighters, war fighters necessarily. They're all the support that comes with it. So although they may be in uniform and so nonetheless, I mean, but that's always going to be an ongoing process. All right, I got, I do have to run so a couple more on
Terrence Bates (alternate or main host)
that goal for NATO to play when
Alireza Jafarzadeh (Iranian Opposition Representative)
it comes to the situation in Cuba.
David Zier
NATO is far from Cuba. We haven't talked about that.
Terrence Bates (alternate or main host)
What do you see as Sweden's role within NATO?
David Zier
Important. I mean, Sweden's been an incredible addition to NATO. Understand, there's a country, country that basically had defend, you know, defend itself for a very long time, but it has a robust and mature manufacturing sector, industrial sector, technology sector. So look, this is not a criticism, so I don't want you guys to read into this as like I'm criticizing some country. But generally, you know, the additions to NATO have been countries that joined because they were in a weak position. And so they joined because they needed the collective strength of an alliance. But, but when we added the two countries, Sweden being one of them, these are two countries that brought to the table capabilities that NATO didn't used to have and with whom we've already had long term defense agreements for a very long time in cooperation. So they were in Sweden was an incredible addition. It made the alliance much stronger, no doubt about it. And especially now we're talking about one of the things we talk about is the defense industrial base. I mean, Sweden had a mature defense industrial base that it now brought into NATO. So the opportunity, we already work on aircraft together and so forth, the ability to build on that is extraordinary. And that's one of the things we want to be able to do and beyond defense, you know, on other areas that touch on defense, but maybe are not defense directly. Did you get a question?
Alireza Jafarzadeh (Iranian Opposition Representative)
Only one.
David Zier
I know, but this guy's greedy. All right, this is my last one. I apologize. I got to fly to India, Greenland and the Arctic. Have you been discussing that? We had an Arctic. Well, we didn't discuss Greenland today, but we had an Arctic meeting today of the seven countries and very positive. We'll have a joint statement. I don't know if it's out yet. Should be out in a moment. And I think there's a growing, although this is an effort that's pre existed, I think there's a growing commitment to make it a regular part of our engagements as NATO is to focus on Arctic security for obvious reasons. We're an Arctic nation. We're always going to be focused on the, the Arctic. It's great to see that other countries are a part of this effort now and that it's going to play a more prominent role. The Arctic is going to play a more prominent role in NATO and in discussions around NATO. So we had a, you know, our political officers met a few days ago and worked out a lot of details on the joint statement and that we had the foreign ministers meeting today and potentially a leaders level meeting at some point on it as well. So it's a good forum within NATO. And I thought today was very positive and the joint statement should reflect that.
David Brody
Okay.
David Zier
I said that was about. I'll do one more because I'm a nice guy.
Terrence Bates (alternate or main host)
I apologize.
David Zier
All right, I'm going to do one more and then I'll do you because you're so persistent. Go ahead.
Carefree Largo (Chat Room Host)
Thank you.
Barry Morgenstein (Rock Photographer)
Have the peace negotiations under American leadership in Ukraine stalled?
David Brody
Do you think that Europeans hit?
David Zier
Yeah, the peace negotiations on Ukraine under American leadership, Let me just say we got involved. Okay. Because we were told we were the only ones that could do it. We were the only ones that the Russians and the Ukrainians would talk to. So we got involved. They were not fruitful, unfortunately, that's the play. We stand ready to continue to play that role despite leaks that are not true, despite stories out there about us forcing the Ukrainians to take this position or that position, which are not true. If we see an opportunity to pull together talks that are productive, not counterproductive, and that have the chance to be fruitful, we're prepared to play that role. There are nongoing. There are no such talks occurring at this time. But we hope that will change because that war can only end with a negotiated settlement. It will not end with a military victory by one side or the other, at least from a traditional standpoint of how military victories are defined. So it will have to lead. And if we can play a role in making that happen, the president is very much interested in doing it. We just, you know, over the last few months, just sort of sensed that there wasn't a lot of progress being made. But maybe dynamics will change. And if they do, we stand ready to play whatever constructive role we can play. If someone else would like to handle it, they should. But it doesn't appear to be anybody else in the world right now that can handle it. So we're more than happy to do that if the opportunity presents itself to have constructive and productive talks. We're also not interested in. In getting involved in an endless cycle of meetings that lead to nothing. Okay.
Terrence Bates (alternate or main host)
Very, very quick.
David Brody
Yeah, appreciate that.
Carefree Largo (Chat Room Host)
Very quickly.
David Zier
And then I got to go.
Alireza Jafarzadeh (Iranian Opposition Representative)
The president said that 5,000 troops will be going to Poland.
Terrence Bates (alternate or main host)
Keepers clarify where will they be coming from?
David Zier
And separately, they'll be coming from America. They're Americans. Oh, you mean specifically where. I'll leave the details on that to the Department of War to announce how
David Brody
these five additional five.
David Zier
Yeah, but I'll. But like, I mean, in fairness, I'll leave it to the point Pentagon to tell you the specifics of how logistically that's going to work. You know that that's not my place to answer.
Dr. Gina
Let me ask you something. You can respond. Can I get your reaction to recent Russian.
Alireza Jafarzadeh (Iranian Opposition Representative)
Increasing Russian campaign targeting Baltic countries?
David Zier
Well, it's concerning. I mean, you always worry about escalation, right? You always worry about that. We understand. You know, these countries feel threatened by it, obviously, for obvious reasons. So it's a concerning thing because you always worry that something like that can spark into something bigger, and that's always a possibility. And so we're concerned about it. We're watching it carefully. We're Obviously engaged with our allies in NATO on that regard in terms of what's happening, and we keep up to date. But the underlying response to your question is we're concerned about it because we don't want it to lead to some broader conflict that can really lead to something far worse.
Martha Stewart
The Iranians today said, Mr. Secretary, that
Terrence Bates (alternate or main host)
there's some forward movement.
David Zier
Yeah, I said the same thing. I can't believe I said the same thing that the Iranians did. There's been some progress. I wouldn't exaggerate it. I wouldn't diminish it. There's more work to be done. But look. Yeah, there's been some, you know, and that's a good sign. I'm glad they said that. We're not there yet. I hope we get there. The President would prefer to do a good deal, but, but, but is. You asked me if I'm optimistic. I don't characterize it as optimistic or pessimistic. I. It's. We're going to respond based on the facts as we see them and as they emerge. So what the President has outlined is his priorities are Iran can never have a nuclear weapon. The issue of highly enriched uranium has to be discussed. Its disposition has to be dealt with, and of course, the issue of future enrichment has to be dealt with as well. Those are the core pillars of any sort of agreement, in addition to opening the straits, of course. So. So I think there's been some progress, but I wouldn't. We're not there yet, and hopefully that will change. It may not. Honestly, it may not. We're dealing with a very difficult group of people, and if it doesn't change, then the President has been clear he has other options. He prefers the negotiated option and having a good deal. But he himself has expressed, you know, concern that maybe that's not possible. But we're going to keep trying. I know our guys are still working on that very hard.
Terrence Bates (alternate or main host)
So.
David Zier
All right, guys, thank you.
Terrence Bates
Thank you, sir.
Pastor Mike Novotny
Thank you.
Terrence Bates (alternate or main host)
So that was Secretary of State Marco Rubio speaking at NATO. He, of course, has been meeting with other NATO leaders throughout the morning, a lot to unpack there. He, of course, talked about troop deployments there in Europe, specifically 5,000 troops going over to Poland. He was asked where those troops are coming from. He's going to yield to the Pentagon on that. Also talking about the Arctic Treaty in the Arctic region. However, Greenland was not part of that conversation. Let's bring in Dr. Gina and David to kind of help unpack all of this. David, the big takeaway here for me, Cuba is a long way from NATO.
David Brody
Yes, there's no doubt about that.
Terrence Bates (alternate or main host)
I'm sorry, I got a kick out of that. I thought that was funny.
David Brody
Yeah, that was good stuff. It's kind of Rubio's, I say attempt at humor. I mean, that's kind of his style, right? I mean, that's what he does. Everybody talks about whether or not the United States should pull out of NATO. Will they pull out? He's not going to pull out of NATO. Even President Trump, who has been very critical of NATO, they're not going to do that. That would be a seismic move, a seismic shift. So this Rubio tour, if you will, is kind of more, I don't really, I don't want to say an appease NATO situation because they're not have to appease NATO at all, but they, but I think they want to kind of smooth things over to make sure that there's some support there when they need it. Even though, let's be honest, Gina, NATO has not been there for the United States at all. But it's just not. So it really isn't as easy as just kind of saying we're out of NATO. I mean, there's just a lot more geopolitical ramifications than that.
Dr. Gina
Yeah, and I would love to hear more about that from you, Brody, because I agree with you, but I can't, I can't think that I could really put my finger on the mechanics of that.
David Brody
The mechanics of what? Of why we wouldn't leave NATO, of
Dr. Gina
why it's just sort of impossible.
David Brody
Well, it's obviously not impossible, but sometimes it might just be a little bit worse in the long term rather than in the short term. Like in the short term, it makes sense, right? They weren't there for us when we were going to war in Iran. They haven't been there for X, Y and Z reasons in the past. But having said that, really, you have to play for the long term. And so what is the long term? You have to see the long game in terms of China, in terms of Russia, in terms of Russia's aggression into Eastern Europe. And so when you look at it that way, I think that there has to be some kind of step back here and kind of see a big picture. And I think that's what they're looking at. Plus, let's be honest, President Trump is going to be around another couple years and then what? J.D. vance, Marco Rubio, a Democrat, God forbid. So I think there's much more at play than just Trump's whim here. It has to be larger than that. T. Bates yeah.
Terrence Bates (alternate or main host)
And here's another thing that you may have missed. And my kind of ears went up when Secretary Rubio said this. He's leaving now, heading to India. Let's not forget the relationship between India and Pakistan is always strained, and it still remains that way. So I'm wondering if there's something happening in that region or if he's just going to show face and to create stability. Marco Rubio, a very busy person traveling the world. But it also goes to show that there are so many hotspots around the world, and the United States is the only country, as you just heard Marco Rubio say, capable of keeping all of these hotspots from flaring up.
David Brody
Gina I would say one last thing. And it's also important, as we've talked about strength in numbers. You know, there's something to be said about strength in numbers. Having said that, you do need to reset the terrain, and I think that's what's going on here.
Dr. Gina
I just, I guess I just don't know how long you continue to let the abuser abuse you before you draw some lines. And I just, I feel like those need to be drawn. But maybe that's just an optimistic view. All right, more American Sunrise coming your way. Two minutes. Stick around.

Patriot Starter Kit Scan the QR code or visit artillerytco.com patriot While it still lasts. Again, we're keeping this QR code up just for another couple of seconds so you can get your phone and scan it right now. All right, let's bring in Artillery Tea Company Co founder Mike Britton now. Mike joining us. As always, good to see you, my friend. So for people who've never tried Artillery Tea Company this is a great weekend to start because you guys actually have a Memorial Day special working.
Marty Bryan (Venue Owner)
Yeah, we're, we're finally doing our Memorial Day sale. We haven't done a sale site wide in a long time, but we're going to offer it now 15 off everything site wide. There's no coupon code needed. It'll all automatically apply. And true story, Terrence, I made a mistake and I accidentally like set it up to include our bundled products that are already discounted. I usually don't do that. And to be quite honest with you, I didn't feel like going back and fixing it. And so this code will actually work on the discounted bundles as well. I don't know if people have noticed people that have picked up the Patriot starter kit this week, they got an extra 15 off in addition to the 29.9 and free shipping. So we're just going to keep it that way. And, and the sale is going to end at midnight on Monday.
Terrence Bates (alternate or main host)
All right, very good. So folks, go ahead and log on before Monday so you can get that extra 15% off all the already discounted products there. For people who are going to try this or who are thinking about trying it, tell them what makes Artillery Tea so different than what else is out there on the market. What makes it unique?
Marty Bryan (Venue Owner)
Yeah, first it starts with the leaves that we Use, we use the top graded whole leaves that we can get. Most teas are like tea dust tea fennels. It's actually the lowest grade tea you can get. And so the flavor of our blends is going to be unlike what, what most people have ever experienced before. We use only natural flavoring, only organic ingredients, and we pack as much flavor in each sachet as we possibly can. So I think the, the flavors are all handcrafted, unique. You can't find these flavors anywhere else other than with Artillery Teco. And I think, I think you'll be surprised how, how normally tea is viewed as maybe, maybe weaker or maybe more bitter, things like that. But the way we do it with the whole leaves, with the natural flavoring, organic ingredients, I think you'll be surprised how bold the flavors can be with, with real tea.
Terrence Bates (alternate or main host)
One of the things I really appreciate about the work that you guys do is that you also work with non profits. You partner with them. Talk about some of the non profit profits you partnered with so far this year.
Marty Bryan (Venue Owner)
Yeah, speaking of Memorial Day, right. We work with a few. One is called Fifth Squad. I think you've heard about them on the show before. They help veterans with emergency expenses like, you know, overdue rent, overdue mortgages, utilities, groceries, any anything veteran needs. They jump in and they help and, and they really pride themselves on like a lot of organizations that do help veterans take can take days or weeks sometimes to process. And they've serviced veterans within an hour in some cases for, for emergencies. And so we partner with them and we partner with someone else last year and again this year called Working Dogs for Vets. And they supply service animals to disabled veterans. So last year we were able to sponsor a whole animal's training all the way through delivery to a specific veteran. And we're looking forward to doing that again this year.
Terrence Bates (alternate or main host)
All right, Mike, we appreciate it. And once again, for folks who are interested in ordering, how can they find you guys apart from scanning the QR code there at the bottom of our screen?
Marty Bryan (Venue Owner)
Yeah, just artillerytcode.com and again, there's no coupon code necessary for the Memorial Day sale. Everything will be automatically applied as you check out.
Terrence Bates (alternate or main host)
Mike, always good to see you, my friend. Have a great weekend.
Marty Bryan (Venue Owner)
All right, thank you, Terrence.
Terrence Bates (alternate or main host)
All right, thank you so much. And remember folks, you can stop up on your favorite blends from Artillery Tea this Memorial, Memorial Day weekend for that 50% off of any order. We of course will have more on that here. And there's the QR code at the bottom of your screen Dr. Gina standing by with the puppy Friday with Tommy Habib and the adoption of the week that's next.

Martha Stewart
is Martha Stewart from the Martha Stewart Podcast. Ever wonder how to make hosting look effortless? Here's a secret Getting ahead of the mess with new Reynolds Kitchens Countertop Prep Paper Just lightly wet the counter beforehand so the paper grips and stays in place. Then lay down the Reynolds Kitchen's countertop prep paper so drips and spills stay on the paper, not all over your kitchen counter. You can roll out dough, prep a party spread or cook alongside family. When you're done, cleanup is as simple as lifting the paper and revealing that clean counter underneath. Effortless. You can use it for cooking and baking, prep and even crafting, especially when you need extra working space. Because when the mess is already handled, you can focus on what matters the food, the people and the moment. It may look effortless, but now you know. It's Reynolds Kitchens Countertop prep paper. Take a tip from me. Wet it, set it, prep it, done. Make it easy. Make it with Reynolds Kitchens Countertop prep paper, available now in the Reynolds Wrap aisle in Walmart, Target, Amazon and Costco.
Cancer Survivor Testimonial
I think when you're diagnosed with cancer, you crave a semblance of normalcy and control and so work allowed me to be me. So I think it's really important that companies stay flexible. Cancer in a Diagnosis can be all consuming, but it doesn't have to be.

This is the Everglades part of Florida that I particularly love. This is also Puppy Friday. As it is, we are going into our Memorial Day weekend. Welcome back to American Sunrise. It is Friday and that is Puppy Friday. Just to clarify, we're putting together the spotlight on some real heroes. That is the team from to the Rescue who work every day to help dogs find loving forever homes. Joining us now, our friend Tommy Habib. He is the host of
Terrence Bates (alternate or main host)
Tommy.
Dr. Gina
We love so much what you're doing, especially right now. I really love it for all the reasons that this audience is already familiar with. But tell us about this incredible adoption effort and how to the Rescue is changing lives one little wagging tail at a time. Colby and I are listening, aren't we?
Marty Bryan (Venue Owner)
Hi, sweet Colby and everybody. Happy Puppy Friday.
Terrence Bates (alternate or main host)
And it's a beautiful memorial weekend coming up. And this means so much, right, that
Barry Morgenstein (Rock Photographer)
we can talk about that and the
Terrence Bates (alternate or main host)
veterans that we as also help through our mission and our program.
Marty Bryan (Venue Owner)
But let's talk about Harley.
Terrence Bates (alternate or main host)
Harley is a large, beautiful, sweet female breed. You know, she's got a wonderful, gentle
Carefree Largo (Chat Room Host)
soul and is so great with kids.
Terrence Bates (alternate or main host)
So if you adopt Harley, she'll make the best loving family pet that you could ever have.
Marty Bryan (Venue Owner)
And if you adopt her today or
Terrence Bates (alternate or main host)
any time in this week, to the Rescue Pet Care, our pet insurance company, we're going to sponsor all the adoption fees and I'm going to make sure that it costs you nothing to get Harley wherever you are. So let's get her. Let's get Harley adopted and into her new forever family.
Dr. Gina
Absolutely. She is gorgeous. I love the tiger striping on her. She's got her boots. She's got her boots ready to walk and what a cutie. And then the beautiful blaze on her chest and Colby and I want to offer we'll send a special care package if someone in this audience adopts her today and wants to get word to our RAV moderator in our chat, Tommy Habib, always thank you for being with us. Thank you for all that you do.

This high-energy episode of The American Sunrise Show on Real America’s Voice dives into a packed slate of political news and themes. The centerpiece is the growing tension and diplomatic chess between the Trump administration and Iran, punctuated by a reported tense call between Trump and Netanyahu regarding Middle East security and the future of Iran’s nuclear capabilities. NATO dynamics, U.S. troop deployments, economic policy, faith and family values, and American cultural debates (with a dash of music and puppy adoption) round out a vibrant pre-Memorial Day roundup.
| Time (MM:SS) | Content | |------------------|--------------------------------------------------| | 04:26–08:16 | DNC autopsy, Dem party analysis, Trump’s rise | | 09:38–13:54 | Rep. Weber on NATO, Iran, war powers | | 20:36–25:54 | Morning headlines, AI order, fraud cases, weather| | 29:37–36:02 | Iran diplomacy, regime analysis (Jafarzadeh) | | 44:00–48:39 | Fed, inflation, interest rates (Wilkerson) | | 54:31–56:59 | Bruce Springsteen, music & politics (Morgenstein)| | 60:16–64:17 | Marriage advice, faith focus (Novotny) | | 105:05–113:41 | Rubio at NATO, US troop moves, NATO future | | 85:04–89:06 | RAV chatroom report, views from the audience | | 94:15–97:43 | Memorial Day event preview (Marty Bryan) | | 130:32–131:17 | To The Rescue: Puppy adoption spotlight |
Rubio’s NATO Quip (113:41): Terrence Bates: “David, the big takeaway here for me, Cuba is a long way from NATO.”
David Brody: “Yeah, that was good stuff. It’s kind of Rubio’s...attempt at humor. I mean, that’s his style.”
Faith & Marriage Wisdom
Pastor Novotny (63:17): “Me first makes a mess, but you first makes us blessed.”
Audience Chat Segment
Carefree Largo (85:56): “Linda Rice said, it’s like a game of Deal or no Deal… Dale Harapot wrote, Iran signing a paper saying they won’t have a nuclear weapon is meaningless. It’s like Jesse James saying he won’t rob banks.”
The show is unapologetically conservative, energetic, and a blend of news, cultural commentary, and personal faith. Banter and personal anecdotes are frequent. There's a clear embrace of Trump-era talking points throughout, leavened by humor, faith references, and a community feel.
This episode of American Sunrise delivers a robust, right-leaning review of the news, pulling together foreign policy intrigue, domestic political maneuvering, cultural disputes, and faith-based comfort. It’s a fast-paced, personality-driven program that aims to equip its audience with a mix of analysis, spiritual grounding, and community encouragement as America heads into Memorial Day.
