Finally, some conservative somewhere is actually doing something. Some great news out of Florida with a again, conservative doing things. Not so great news actually. Well, technically it is great news, but the way ABC News presents it is this is just the worst news ever. Which you know leads to the fact that they are evil. Also, Canada, the green country of Canada that just loves green energy and all of the climate change things. It's actually changing just a little bit according to some recent polling. Really, really interesting story out of America's hat. All that more coming up on this episode of Turning Point tonight. My name is Joe Bob. Thanks so much for tuning in. I was able to get my hands on a copy while I'm here in Phoenix. You may have noticed the studio setup is a little bit different. We are coming to you from the Turning Point headquarters. I was able to pick up a copy of this. I would strongly recommend you do the same. I'm very excited to read this book about honoring the Sabbath and finding time to rest. We talked briefly about that on the Char Charlie Kirk show today, which is why I'm here in Phoenix. Did it well, plenty of other reasons to, but as a part of that was on the Charlie Kirk show, which I think will air immediately after this program as well. Lots to get to. One of the biggest problems I think that I've had and a lot of you have had, as evidenced by the emails, is some conservatives just don't ever do anything like, oh cool, we got power. What should we do with it? And unfortunately, too often the answer is, well, nothing. Fortunately, that does not seem to be the case for the Florida Attorney General James Utmire, who has filed two really interesting lawsuits and for some reason it completely passed my view. I didn't hear about this yesterday, probably because nobody was talking about this yesterday. I think Benny Johnson was the only person that I saw who was actually digging into this story and rightfully so. It is a fantastic move when it Comes to conservatives actually doing something. Florida. The state of Florida has sued medical group giants who claim that. Their claim is that parents were misled when it came to transitioning their kids. Florida takes legal action against major medical organizations over alleged misinformation about gender. Gender affirming care for minors. Claims that the medical groups publicly portrayed strong evidence while privately acknowledged. Yeah, we don't actually have very good evidence that this, any of this is going to work and work, I mean, be good for your kid as a whole. Publicly, they say if you don't transition your trans kid into whatever it is that they think they are, they will kill themselves. And if you don't do this as a parent, you will be responsible for for your child's suicide, which is a horrible position to put parents in. But that is allegedly what has been happening in the state of Florida with these particular big medical groups. And like I said, finally somebody is doing something about it. Florida Attorney General James Utmire announced legal action on Tuesday against a bunch of major medical organizations. The lawsuit names several prominent groups which include the World Professional Organization for Transgender Health. I'm guessing we can all come to conclusions on where they stand on all of this sort of stuff. The American Academy of Pediatrics and the Endocrine Society. Now the first and last one of those not necessarily widely known, but the American association. Sorry, the American Academy of Pediatrics. As a parent who doesn't necessarily pay. I'm not talking about me. But if there are parents out there who aren't necessarily paying attention to all of the things going on re child transgenderism, which by the way, isn't a thing you might think, oh, the American Academy of Pediatrics. They have to be good. Well, unfortunately they are not. They are a radicalized left wing group that has the soft, nice sounding names. Oh, we're just the American Academy of Pediatrics. Everybody loves pediatrics. We would never lie to anybody. The core allegations are Florida alleges that these organizations consistently, time after time, misled parents about the risks and the uncertainties surrounding gender affirming care. All the way from using whatever the new name or pronoun of again, the child who can't make important decisions like being able to vote, but for some reason can make drastic decisions over their body at a very young age where their brain is not fully developed, all the way way up to actual physical surgery, which again, is terrible. According to utmyre, for years these groups claimed their recommendations were based on solid scientific evidence. Now pause. Where have we heard that before? Oh, the fauci Fever, the Chinese bat fever is. This is based in science. Masks will work. If you stand six feet apart, you have less of a chance. All of the things the science says and Dr. Fauci, I represent science. Where have we heard this before? Behind closed doors. However, Utmyer, the Attorney General of Florida, is alleging that these, these groups were actually aware of the very, very weak evidence supporting such claims and acknowledged the uncertain outcomes and potential risks involved. In other words, lying to people, more specifically, lying to parents, and more detrimentally, lying to the children in horrible, horrible ways. The Attorney General stated that many parents were misled and did not receive accurate information. And it goes on and on. Basically the broad scope of it is the Attorney General of Florida as a conservative, is actually doing something. We get emails every single day about the spineless Republicans in Congress. We talked earlier this week about how a civil case can be made into a criminal case. Well, conservatives have the House and the Senate and the Presidency. It should be possible to do and yet it still isn't. Why? Because there are several squishy conservatives around the country that represent people that don't actually do anything. So obviously from a, hey, let's protect the kids. This is good. And it's also good from a 30,000 foot view of let's freaking use our elected office to do something that advances conservative traditional principles in this country. It is great that this is happening. And hopefully all of those companies that lied to parents and told them that your kid is in danger if you don't effectively put them in further danger, that's as blunt as it gets. Be held accountable for those actions. In addition to that lawsuit, the Attorney General of Florida also announced this week that he's going to be suing Starbucks. Starbucks. Apparently the Attorney General alleges that Starbucks diversity hiring practices constitute illegal race discrimination. The lawsuit claims that the company Starbucks created race based quotas tied to executive compensation to diversity targets. In other words, hey, sorry, I know you're fantastic at this job, but you're unfortunately not in a minority demographic there, Jim, and therefore we can't promote you, which is actually racist. And then constitutionally discriminatory against someone based on their race, which not okay. In case you haven't heard, the Florida Attorney General filed a lawsuit against Starbucks claiming the company's hiring initiatives constitute racial discrimination. Utmire stated that the Starbucks made DEI their slogan. Then they turned it into mandatory hiring and promotion based on race. In 2024, multiple Florida residents who worked for or tried to apply for jobs at Starbucks contacted the Attorney General's office to report a feeling of exclusion due to the company's employment practices. Now, there could be some massive implications here. And by the way, this has been going on for a very long time, all the way up to the Supreme Court. Remember how President Biden probably very illegally said, I'm only looking for a black woman, so if you're not a black woman, need not apply to the Supreme Court. Well, you can't apply to the Supreme Court. If you can, I'd like to submit my submission to be on the Supreme Court because if, if Ketanji Brown Jackson can be a Supreme Court Justice, I feel like I can too. It doesn't seem like it's all that difficult, especially if she can get the job. But again, remember, the only reason she got the job is because the President of the United States said, I'm going to discriminate against every race that isn't black and every. And the other gender that isn't woman. There we go, the whole translation. Every gender. Yeah, all two of them. Discriminatory policies instituted by the President. So why wouldn't woke companies on down the list also follow suit? The lawsuit, interestingly enough, asked the court to bar Starbucks from carrying out these practices and requested affirmative relief damages and civil penalties of up to $10,000 per instance. Now, just for context, to put this in a greater perspective, because you might think 10 grand Starbucks sneezes and they cough out 10 grand, sneeze out 10 grand. That's not going to do anything to them. Well, there's over 900 Starbucks locations throughout Florida. The Attorney General estimates tens of millions of Sunshine State residents, Florida residents have been impacted. So let's just, you know, do some rough math. 900. Let's round that up to 1,000. Let's just say 15 people work at every single Starbucks. That's 15,000. Let's just say 20% of that are, you know, discriminatory hiring practices. Yeah, that, that can add up pretty dang quickly if the fine is $10,000. Bottom line here is I can't emphasize enough that the fact that we have a conservative somewhere doing something is a good thing. Unlike the quote, unquote, conservatives in Indiana. We haven't necessarily talked about that story a ton, but we talked about it today on the Charlie Kirk show. And it's just another example of conservatives not using the power that has been given to them by the populace to do the thing that the populace wants them to do. Let us know in the email. Tptpusa.com how good is it to see a conservative actually doing something, trying to bar companies and medical organizations from lying to parents about transing their kids or, or trying to stop a major corporation from, well, effectively being racist, allegedly. I think that is a great thing. Also. Tptp USA.com if you have any of those conservative legislators in your area, whether it be a city council person, a school board member, a state assembly member, Congress, state Congress, state senate, all of those, if they're doing a good job, we'd love to hear about it. Tptpusa.com maybe we can highlight some of the things that they're doing in not being a squishy conservative that doesn't act, actually use the power that's been given to them. Like it blows my mind. I sent this story to my wife and she read it and was as disgusted as me. But I want to bring that to you because we all need to know what the libs are doing and how they're trying to adjust the narrative to fit their own prerogative. Yeah, so we bought this building in 2025 in January, and one of the first things I did was to come over and remove all of the rainbow flags and the rainbow stickers. One of the things that was astounding to me was not too long after that, one of the former members of the Lutheran Church that used to meet here came to visit our church and we asked them, why did your church close? And he said, because we were too political. We were too much into the LGBTQ thing and nobody wanted to come to our church since we've moved here and removed all of those flags. Since we started preaching classical traditional orthodox Christianity, we've seen this parish grow tremendously. So if you're ever wondering what it is we're doing, we're just simply preaching Christianity and the people are coming for it. First of all, yes, good. Second, the person that visited the church that saw we got too political, and you're half right, the other half is the fact that you got it politically wrong. There's also that if a church wants to be political and they want to take political stance, that's good. But you have to be right. Right. You can't be wrong about your political church stance, especially when it directly butts heads with biblical principles, which is probably not the case if you're going to a church that has rainbow flags. And there's that. What was that kid's name that we interviewed on the show? That was great. He went into one of these churches that had their Pride Festival in the actual church and then got kicked out after like five minutes. Yeah, good, good. On wherever this church is, getting all that stuff down there and getting back to basics and making it, making it happen. Speaking of quote, unquote, the. Well, the church, but more specifically the woke church. I don't even know if that's accurate to call it that. But speaking of that, they probably would have sided with the ABC News staff that wrote this crazy article. I couldn't exactly tell how much of this I should read verbatim from the article because I really want to give like a few full, a full context to what it is that they're saying. It is a difficult story to grapple with. In my opinion. It has the best outcome, at least as of this point, that could be from such a tragic story. But ABC News decided to make it into this thing that honestly, I don't even think the people involved thought it should actually be. What happened was a mother in Georgia who was pregnant had some health complications. I'll summarize the first part of this. And went to the hospital, was taken home, ended up unfortunately going into comatose and was non responsive. And then a couple days later was pronounced brain dead. Doctors waited for the healthcare monitors to come back on, but she was pronounced brain dead, declared brain dead on February 19th of this earlier year. The thing is, this woman was pregnant. Now, ABC News writes this article like this. I'm going to read it verbatim so you guys can get a picture of it. But because she was pregnant and the fetus, the baby, the human being's heart was still beating. Doctors told the mother of this mother that they needed to keep her on life support. She said the mother's name is Newkirk, the daughter's name. So the pregnant woman's last name is Smith. So in case we're referring to people throughout this article, that's who those people are. Newkirk said they said that is the doctor staff in Georgia, that they would treat the baby as a patient and she would no longer. And she, the unfortunately brain dead mother, would no longer be the patient because the law that they have there in Georgia. Yes, correct. There's nothing wrong with that statement yet. ABC News says this isn't this terrible. This mother has unfortunately become brain dead. But there's this pesky baby that's inside of her. And unfortunately in Our state, because of our state laws, we can't just kill the baby. So this awful situation, at least in the way that ABC News is couching that, the article goes on to talk about a bunch of different things legislatively. They talk about all of the guidance that the medical group was given and they make this big long case to basically say, isn't this such a terrible thing? The director of the facility says that, well, we don't have. Our hands are tied by the law. Now, I like to think, well, your hands are tied by morality. You've got a person inside of this again, unfortunately, brain dead person. And yes, you should try everything in your nature to save that person. Not necessarily. Well, if you can save the mother, great, go for it, do it. And by the way, the mother of this mother said, yeah, you know, they have to keep her online. She didn't seem super upset about it. But again, ABC News couches it in a way that is, oh yeah, this is so terrible. They were not allowed to murder this baby inside of her. So this is just the worst possible thing that can happen. The article goes on to say this again, I'm reading verbatim. Smith, the brain dead mother was on life support for 16 weeks after she was declared brain dead, according to Newkirk. In June, Newkirk, the grandmother, received a call from the hospital telling her that her daughter was being taken in for an emergency C section when she was around 20 weeks pregnant. When she arrived at the hospital, her grandson Chance was born. Kind of hard to not get a little. Kind of hard to not see that as a good thing. Yes, tragic situation that the mother of this young baby was pronounced brain dead and effectively has passed. But also, are we pretending here, ABC News, that this is a bad thing? That this woman's grandson was born, albeit prematurely? Is this, is this a bad thing? Smith, the mother's newborn child is now six months old. And again, they couch this in such a way that this is so terrible and is still fighting for his life in the hospital nicu, unable to breathe on his own, says the grandmother. The grandmother says his lungs are underdeveloped. He's not your regular preemie baby. He's struggling, but he is gaining weight. In other words, what it sounds like to me is that grandson is born and grandmother, albeit terrible situation, goes, hey, look, he's underdeveloped. Not a regular preemie, but he's struggling, but he is gaining weight. There is progress being made. But again, ABC tries to take this negative. However, Newkirk says he's unlikely to go home anytime soon. Again, not great, admittedly, but also we're talking about a human being here. We're talking about a baby that is now in the hospital and hopefully progressing in a way that allows this baby to live a full life. But for some reason, ABC, is this such a tragic thing? This whole article, and the whole reason I wanted to bring this to you is this whole article sets this up as look at these terrible laws that required the doctors in the state of Georgia to save someone or at the very least attempt to save one. You know, obviously there's still complications and the hope is that the baby makes a full recovery and can live a full and fulfilling life. But no, ABC News, this isn't as tragic, legally speaking, as your claiming that it is. What I see this as is a tragic situation where a mother goes brain dead, but a miracle of modern medicine that a baby is able to be born. And yet the lib media says, well, this is. Look at how terrible this we could have just killed this baby and that would have been better for everyone. I can guarantee you that the grandmother, the mother of the brain dead mother is not thinking the same thing. And I know they quoted her a bunch of times in this article, but I can guarantee you there are photos online, I wish I was able to pull them up for you that have this grandmother holding her grandson. And I can guarantee you unequivocally, 100% she does not think this is a bad thing. Obviously, I don't have her quotes, I didn't talk to her. But anybody who has held a newborn doesn't sit here and go, man, I wish we could have killed this 16 weeks earlier. It goes on to talk about the baby's condition. Tragically, the mother was taken off medical ventilation four days after the baby delivered Newkirk the grant. The grandmother tearfully described her final goodbyes as hard. Yeah, they would be. Of course they would be. They quote her saying this again, trying to couch it in a negative term. And again, that part is tragic. The grandmother said, you just want to scream, that's my daughter. That's my first daughter. I think about her every day as you would. But that doesn't mean that the grandmother thinks having a new grandbaby is a bad thing. Shame on you, ABC News. I again sent this to my wife and then she went up and looked at a bunch of the article contributors and it was like, how is it that two of these women who contributed to this article have kids? How do you have your own kids and think, well, this is so terrible. This is so terrible that unfortunately, the way they put it, this baby was able to be saved from a mother who suffered severe health complications. How bad is that? This baby, who is again still fighting for his life but also making gains, according to the grandmother, how terrible it is that this baby is alive. That is disgusting if you ask me. It is disgusting that somebody, one, had the audacity to pitch this as an article and two, an entire team including editors thought, yeah, this is a good thing to post. We are going to post the tragedy of not being able to kill someone effectively. I promise it'll get a little bit cheerier. Yeah, well, it'll get more ironic later on in the show. I know this is rather heavy, especially for a Friday, but I don't know, I saw that article and I felt like it is necessary to bring to all of you good folks because I would imagine you would side on the fact of, yeah, let's not. Let's not kill babies. That's. That's probably. That's pretty good. That's pretty good place to start on a baseline standpoint. And they're changing perspectives on being green. And gas is down all over the country except in California. Some of the numbers coming out of the world, the country's poopiest state, may shock you. All that more coming up after the break. Don't go away. Hey, this is Sarah. Look, I'm standing out front of a.m. p.m. Right now and well, you're sweet and all, but I found something more fulfilling, even kind of cheesy. But I like it. Break up with bland breakfast and taste AMPM's bacon, egg and cheese biscuit made with Ktree egg, smoked bacon and melty cheese on a buttery biscuit basket. Am P M. Too much. Good stuff. This is what Google's homepage looks like on March 8, which is international Women's Day. We have the custom logo. It's International Women's Day. Explore how women in STEM have shaped our world. And this is what Google's homepage looks like on November 19, which is international Men's Day. Nothing. I hope this helps. I mean, I actually have a pretty good explanation for that. It's because men predominantly built all the big tech companies, including Google, so every day is representative of the work that men are doing. That's probably going to get me in trouble. Know that I'm only mostly kidding. Well, know that I am mostly kidding. And obviously, yeah, Google's not going to do anything to celebrate, so we'll twist it back on them. Say, hey, you're already celebrating. Men probably designed that to begin with, so there's that. Interesting. Speaking of things that have kind of turned on its head, Canada has been known consistently throughout the world as a climate friendly entire country. We are green in Canada. We want to make renewable energy a thing. Now if the private sector wants to take care of making things, renewable energy, I have no problem with that. Go, you go do it. Just as long as it's not the government doing it. And two, the private companies aren't milking the government for government contracts to do the whole green energy things. If the private sector wants to do it on their own entirely, fine, have at it. Go for it. I'm all about cleaner energy, whatever that means or looks like. Whether it's wind or solar or whatever it is, the private sector wants to do it. Great. Let's not do it from the government because that'll only make it so that Philadelphia buses catch on fire because that's what happened when the Biden era decided to give a bunch of money to or go. We're doing electric buses by the way. They don't work and sometimes they explode. So, so there's that. But in Canada, Canada was known for a very long time as a green, climate friendly country. Now conservatives haven't won in Canada in a long time. They had Justin Trudeau for a very long time. Now an immigrant, an illegal immigrant, probably dating one of our pop stars, which I remember we did mention the fact that he is dating Katy Perry. And Katy Perry kind of has a track record of dating guys who then become super conservative. I'm not sure where Orlando Bloom start is on the spectrum of, you know, being conservative by nature, but Russell Brand is definitely an example to point to. So hopefully Katy Perry has that same effect on pretty boy Justin Trudeau. But in the meantime, yeah, get it, get him out of our country. But interesting poll coming out when it comes to whether or not Canada is going to revert back to hey, you know, the green energy thing is great, but also, you know, we can't kneecap our economy because a brand new poll came out polling about 1600 Canadians about a privately financed gas pipeline from Alberta to the British Columbia coast. Half of Canadians now reminder that the majority of Canada a couple years ago when you looked at polling like 70, 80% of them like, oh, no more fossil fuels. We are going to do solar and I don't know, snow energy, maple syrup energy, bacon energy, hockey energy. We're going to generate energy from hockey players skating around on the ice somehow anything but fossil fuels. And now that the entire country is starting to realize the economics behind this don't exactly work, not to mention the power actually doesn't work. That's, that's a whole thing in and of itself. But none of this seems to be adding up. And maybe the climate change thing was an entire World Economic forum hoax to try and get a more globalist society. Maybe this isn't exactly working. And the polling seems to reflect that half of Canadians are in favor of building a new fossil fuel pipeline, while fewer than one in five outright above oppose it. Of those who support the project, 25% say they strongly support it, 26% say they somewhat support it. Only 17% of the climate friendly green energy Canadians are actually saying, hey, no, no, let's, let's not do this. The bottom line here is that reality has hit Canada because, well, you can't deny reality. Reality bats last. And the reality is that fossil fuels, like them or not, are here to stay. And it's something that we have to have in order to get energy and power to everybody. Canada, I'm sure, has experienced their fair share of we're gonna build these windmills. Oh, no, the wind is. President Trump had a great line of, I wanna watch television tonight, honey. But unfortunately the wind isn't blowing. It's a real thing that's happening in Canada. And the Canadians by a majority now are saying, we're not actually going to put up with that. This poll breaks down in a bunch of different ways. Talking about the demographics, conservatives obviously much more likely to support that. But even 54% of liberal voters said that they would support and liberal voters in the state of Canada, by the way. So that's like a conservative in Canada is like, what do they call a conservative in Canada in Alabama? Oh, a Democrat. It's like, it's like what we get called in California. Conservative. Californian is like a liberal Tennessee and, or something like that. But yeah, in Canada, even the libs in Canada, who are probably more lib than your average lib, even they, the majority of them think, well, we actually do need this pipeline. Bottom line here is that Canada, but also other countries around the world are starting to go, oh yeah, this whole green energy, renewable, sustainable thing, that's fine. If the private sector can figure out sustainability and renewable energy, great. But the government trying to take it over is not working and it's having a detrimental effect on all of these hard working people. Now what I thought was really interesting from this article I pulled, I forget, some Canadian news outlet, they have to throw this in at the very end. They can't not throw this into the very end. 56% of respondents are confident the new pipeline can be built while respecting provincial governments through consultation and participating continuing green energy efforts. All right, cool. So yeah, you just, you have to throw that in there, by the way. We do, the majority of us do think that we can still do this while remaining on a green track. All right, whatever. Throw that in there. It's fine. Reality at the end of the day has batted last in California. Speaking of oil coming up, oil prices, gas prices are down around the country as President Trump promised. There was a viral video, I don't think we have it here, but there's a viral video of some kid looking at a gas station going like, ooh, six bucks. I thought President Trump was going to bring down gas prices. And pretty Much. Everybody and their mother, quote, tweeted that and said, yeah you buffoon, you're in California. Everywhere else it's actually down. But in California, not so really. Interesting statistics coming out of the nation's poopiest state headed up by the most hairsprayed governor. They don't know, they don't know these things. And I want the world open up to all of them because when you have their diverse voices innovating solutions through technology, then you're really dressing society's broader challenges. What is that? I think Condoleezza Rice called that the soft bigotry of low expectations. Black people are too dumb to figure out how to use a computer. Yeah. How racist is that? Is that Kathy Hochul? I can't see too well on the screen here. That feel like that sounded like the governor of New York. I'm not sure if it actually. Oh, it is. Okay. So yeah, that, that's, that checks out. That's par for the course. There's bunch of libs thinking they're helping, helping minorities. Look lady, we don't need your help. And actually the quote unquote help that you're giving the minority community in this country is not actually helping. It's actually doing the opposite. It's making things worse and pretending that black people are too dumb to actually figure out what computers are. I love, I love people taking to the Internet and illustrating that in, in such a whimsical and comical way, just like you're, I don't know, just illustrates the point of the racism that is so prevalent on the lefty side of the aisle. Soft bigotry of low expectations. That's exactly what that is. Speaking of low expectations, the nation, people around the country had lower, they had expectations for lower gas prices when President Trump came into office because he said as much. He said, hey, I'm going to bring gas prices down. Now there is a viral video that we told you about last segment. Don't have the clip because it doesn't really matter if a guy pointing his camera at a California gas station like look, it's $6. I thought President Trump was going to lower gas prices. Yeah, doofus, he is. Around the country, except in California. Katie Grimes from the California Globe did some comparing and contrasting around the country on how gas prices are doing. The nationwide average for regular gas has reached its lowest level in 1,681 days and continues a trend to go even lower. The national average currently sits at 294 per gallon according to AAA. Adjusted for inflation, the December 1 price is the lowest average. Adjusted for. That's a big, Some people probably think like oh, 294. That's actually still pretty high. Yeah, you have to account for inflation there. So when you adjust for inflation, it is the lowest average cost of U.S. gasoline prices since February of 2021. Across the country, 37 states now have gas prices below 3 dol. Now producer Glenn and I probably agree on this. If you saw gas prices below $3, holy cow, I'm filling up, I'm grabbing a tanker and I'm going to continue to fill up the tank because $3. I haven't seen anything in the fours in years in our God forsaken hellhole that is California. I'm in Phoenix right now. I'm going to check the gas prices on my way back to the airport. But chances are it can be lower than the state of California. Five states are seeing prices below $250 and at least one four gas station or four states have stations selling gas below $2. Colorado hitting a low of 169 in one station. Oklahoma has the nation's lowest state average at 237 per gallon. California, however, almost double because of course it is the state run by the hairspray aficionado Governor Gavin Newsom. Dictator King, I believe is his actual title. In California, the average price of gas stands at $4.43. And honest to God, where is that? That's not anywhere near. I live in Southern California. That is nowhere near where it is where I live. And that's, you know, not awesome. California's gas prices are 51% higher than the national average. The highest price in California is Mono County.566 per gallon. And that's about where I see gas. Not 566, but I think it was 495 when I filled up on Wednesday. I believe so. Not good to say the least. Since 2001, California's in state oil production. Maybe this has something to do with this, has declined by approximately 65% in 25 years. The gas production in California has gone down by 65% over the same period. Dependency on foreign endpoints has risen by nearly 70%. Now I know not all of you are gas, petroleum, natural gas, energy aficionados, you know, kind of like Hunter Biden and Burisma, but you probably can figure out that, well, if it's not being produced locally and it has to be shipped in from other places, is that more expensive or less expensive? Generally speaking, I feel like it's more expensive to ship things in from other places. Well, that's actually true. You got it. Since 2023, the refinery capacity has fallen 21%. Gasoline demands, however, have remained largely unchanged. California's thought was that, hey, we're gonna, we're going to buy oil from other places because then we get to say, look, we're not producing any crude oil. We're not producing gas. So that's good for our, you know, climate change stamp. But at the same time, they expected the need for gasoline to fall because everybody's going to take the public transportation. Unfortunately, in California, if you take public transportation, you have a greater risk of being stabbed repeatedly by a homeless meth addict or an illegal immigrant on our California public transit. So nobody takes it. And therefore the demand for gas in California has remained entirely unchanged. And basically they're trying to still have all the same things take place. Two more fineries are about to shut down, which is going to make it worse. Which again, I bring this to you kind of like as an update of what not to do. But inside I'm kind of going, oh my gosh, we just got a big old gas guzzling suv. You know, in order to protect ourselves from all the illegals that have driver's licenses in California. So that's not awesome. But the bottom line here is that California lessened the amount of gas production in their own state, lessen the refinery production. They are 70% entirely dependent on foreign oil which again you're still by the way, if you're producing gas in California, don't you think that that'll be cleaner than the way that they do it in other countries? Like other countries don't have this clean energy climate change need so they don't care if they're polluting. In other words, not only is it more expensive, it's also worse. So that's great. Par for the course in California. Bottom line here is that California is head and shoulders above the rest of the country. The rest of the country is seeing gas prices that fortunately are going down. Obviously adjusted for inflation, they're not going to be the pre inflation numbers. But California remains alone in making sure that they can punish their residents at the gas station pump and at their wallets. Great. Fantastic. News producer Glenn is rolling his eyes. Coming up next, we want to get you some of your mailbag question questions, comments, concerns, criticisms TBT tbsa.com is the email address. Would love to see your emails in that inbox Also stop in the name of God. The brand new Charlie Kirk book out now. Get it wherever you can. If it's sold out, just wait a couple days. I'm excited to have my copy. We will be right back after the break with your emails. Don't go away. Oh my God. What's happening to my clothes? I love that. Good one of those. Might felt, felt a little bit staged but good. More of that please. I just, there's some, there's, there's like a characteristic. I'm not sure where it comes from. Not sure if it's innate or if it's learned. But I think I'm sure many of you watching this program have it love seeing justice be served. Yeah, Porch pirates. This, this one's going to explode and you're gonna be covered with blue dye or confetti. Yeah, that's great. I, I'm, I'm a big fan of watching justice play itself out on the Internet. Let's get to some emails before we run out of time here. Holy cow. I blabbered on a little bit long. Lou says great show. Thank you Lou. Appreciate it. Thank you so much. Let's see. No name. Anonymous says I agree. Get all the America haters out of the country asap. Couldn't Agree with you more. Producer Glenn also compiled these emails. I'm for the first time usually I try to pull these out but it's been kind of a crazy day. Did the Charlie Kirk show earlier this morning and running around here headquarters. But this. Let's see. This is from Grace and Salon. Salon. Salon. My daughter and I watch you every night. Thank you Grace. And she was wondering who flag do you have? Oh, whose flag do you have on the table behind you? I have my husband who passed away. So. Okay, interesting. That's. So she's talking about the flag there generally have behind in the. The show. So I, I did get this cleared from. Not. I'm gonna be vague, a military friend of mine. Generally speaking, that is a. An honored flag that's passed down and is displayed for a fallen veteran or a veteran technically speaking. And I. I know I've gotten some flack for this but uh. That is the proper way to display cased American flags. Regardless of if it's in memorial somebody or it's just a special flag. The flag behind me is actually flown on I believe in 2018 it was given as a gift to somebody and I was told by several people, but including a vague military friend of mine, that that is. That actually is how you display it too. I could be totally wrong. TBT tbsa.com But Grace appreciate that. She said her husband who passed away from Agent Orange. Agent Orange as he got in Vietnam and she loves the show. Great, thank you so much. Also let me know if I am wrong doing that. I. I've been told it that's actually still the appropriate way to display Fl that one again is not in memorial of anyone but it was flown at the Capitol and it was deemed as special as a gift given to me. So that's what that flag is behind there. It's not there today but you know we're in Phoenix today. From Shelley AOC would have been much wiser to spend $50,000 of campaigning campaign money on a frontal lobotomy. You know, I'm not sure they do that anymore, Shelley, but good suggestion. And this from. Let's see Josue looks like. How's it going Joe Bob, you guys are doing great. Appreciate it. Watching your show right now. Wanted to say that I know how it feels to be a conservative living in California. Oh my gosh, Jose, you know, you know the pain that we are all dealing with. I agree that the libs are corrupt here. There have been some cases involving grift and fraud. From what I've heard you've heard correctly that is that seems to be accurate. He does offer a criticism, a critique of the show and the way that we do things. I don't like the nickname Gavin Hairspray Newsom though. Fair that's fine. That's a subjective opinion. He says I prefer slick back or hair gel. We'll take those into consideration. Two faced is also one that can can be used. Lying scumbag. There's a lot of different variables that we can use to insert when we describe the governor of the poopiest state in the nation. We'll take that into consideration. Appreciate you Josue, also a United States Marine Corps veteran. Thank you for your service. Appreciate that. TPTPCA.com is the email address that is going to do it for us today and for this week. We will see you Monday. Have a great weekend. Get to church on Sunday. We'll see you Monday. God bless America. This is an I heart podcast. Guaranteed human.
Episode Date: December 12, 2025
Host: JoeBob
Notable Segments: Florida AG lawsuits, ABC News and Georgia pregnancy story, Canadian energy polling, California gas prices, Listener mailbag
This episode of Turning Point Tonight features JoeBob tackling hot-button stories in American (and some Canadian) politics, culture, and media. The central theme is a celebration—or, as the host sees it, a much-needed example—of conservatives “actually doing something”: notably, through headline-grabbing lawsuits out of Florida, as well as broader critiques and insights into media narratives, energy policy, and reflections on American values.
JoeBob [07:26]:
“Finally, somebody is doing something about it… This is a fantastic move when it comes to conservatives actually doing something.”
JoeBob [22:15]:
“The bottom line here is I can’t emphasize enough that we have a conservative somewhere doing something—and that's a good thing.”
JoeBob [33:26]:
“Shame on you, ABC News. Is this a bad thing? That this woman’s grandson was born, albeit prematurely? Obviously, there are complications… but we're talking about a human being here.”
JoeBob [39:54]:
“Anybody who has held a newborn doesn’t sit here and go, ‘Man, I wish we could have killed this 16 weeks earlier.’”
JoeBob [45:02]:
“The bottom line here is that reality has hit Canada, because, well, you can’t deny reality. Reality bats last.”
“Men predominantly built the big tech companies, so every day is representative of the work that men are doing. That’s probably going to get me in trouble.”
“That’s, as Condoleezza Rice put it, the soft bigotry of low expectations… pretending that black people are too dumb to figure out what computers are.”
JoeBob: “Thank you for your service [Josue, USMC]—we’ll take your nickname suggestions into consideration! Two-faced, lying scumbag… there’s a lot to choose from when describing the governor…”
On ‘Squishy’ Conservatives ([21:09]):
“Let us know in the email… how good is it to see a conservative actually doing something, trying to bar companies and medical organizations from lying to parents about transing their kids…”
On Energy Reality ([46:40]):
“If the private sector can figure out sustainability and renewable energy, great. But the government trying to take it over is not working.”
On California’s Policies ([54:29]):
“California is head and shoulders above the rest of the country in making sure they can punish their residents at the gas station pump and at their wallets.”
For those who missed the episode, this installment offers a spirited, unapologetically conservative read on medical policy, corporate ‘wokeness’, media bias, energy economics, and the meaning of authentic action in politics. JoeBob’s blend of humor and indignation, along with some thought-provoking mailbag moments, makes for an engaging recap of the issues “that matter most” to his audience.
