We've got to take a different approach to how we talk about libs who are apparently addicted to standing in front of motor vehicles. Also, the Fed Chair looks like he could be under criminal investigation. Is that warranted? Find out the Golden Globes happened last night. We're gonna talk a little bit about Iran and and a ton more. My name is Joe Bob. Thanks so much for tuning in. The show starts right now. We are looking at this all wrong in my opinion. Like I said just a bit ago, Libs are apparently addicted to standing in front of big, powerful SUVs, and maybe we should adjust how we look at that to better suit what it is that they are doing. Also, like I said, the Fed chair. That's actually really interesting, Jerome Powell saying this is a political M.O. politically motivated. TRUMP says, I have no idea that this is even happening. So conflicting information there as always. You can email the show anytime you want tptp USA.com if you'd like to send along your thoughts, comments, concerns or even criticisms. Or leave a comment wherever it is that you are watching. If that comment or email is vile, deceit, disgusting, bigoted and hateful, you actually have a better shot of being read in our mailbag segment in the final segment of the program. So first we obviously got to talk about what is going on around the country regarding protests slash riots that the libs are perpetrating among many of their communities in response to ICE enforcing the law that Congress passed. Both libs and conservatives agree on immigration and ICE is just enforcing that, but I actually think this is much, much deeper than this. Like I've mentioned, libs are apparently addicted to standing in front of cars. How can we best support them in that effort? That's where I think we need to readjust our framing and how we look at this. Here's a couple examples of libs doing exactly that. For some reason feeling the necessity to to stand in front of cars. This is Cut six. Interestingly enough, that tactic worked beautifully. Those law enforcement agents just retired from the force and decided, hey, I don't want to do my job anymore because a bunch of elderly libs decided to scream and pound a drum kind of incoherently and therefore I've entirely changed the trajectory of my life. But as it can be proven, there is not a car that a lib has not thought I should get in front of that no car too big or too small for lib to say I should stand in front of this motor vehicle. It's apparently what they love to do. So rather than continue to ridicule and mock them for that, maybe we should help them out. Maybe see if we can benefit their cause in whatever way is most beneficial to them. As we all know, libs take tend to be if they went to College, majoring in the soft sciences, your sociology majors, your anthropology, your psychology. All of these different things that are difficult to tangibly kind of nail down. And with that, you know, generally a lot of them are not very good at math, which is where I think we come in. Those of us who are tethered to reality, moored to the anchor of natural law, are generally better at math. And maybe what we need to do is help the libs to decide how well to figure out what math equation could work to most benefit their apparent addiction to standing in front of cars. Now, I want to show you an example of a lib trying to stop an suv, a Suburban. And it doesn't go well. And I think I've figured out the problem here. Watch this. I believe this is cut seven. And we'll discuss what he did wrong. He, she, they. I'm not entirely sure what this is, but what they did wrong when trying to stop a motor vehicle. Cut seven. Now unable to curb their addiction to trying to stop cars. Clearly there's a math problem at play here. Unfortunately, this lib is unaware of the power of this motor vehicle compared to a singular person's body. Now, a Chevy Suburban, which is the vehicle pictured there at peak performance, can output about 600 horsepower, which is a lot. And if you wanted to factor that into human rates, it's about 10 people to one horse. That's 6,000 people it would take to stop this SUV in its tracks, which interestingly enough, is, I guess, possible if you are addicted to standing in front of cars. But that actually isn't what would actually stop people from, stop those cars from moving. What actually you're looking at is the torque, the ability of the vehicle to move forward with massive objects in front of it. Let's assume a general suburban weighs about 6,000 pounds. Now, 80% of the vehicle's own weight is going to allow traction for the tires to spin. Any more than that, you're unfortunately going to get spinning tires out of just the amount of force downput on the actual SUV. So about 4,800 pounds of force going forward is what the surface Suburban would be able to withstand if you were to place, for example, a rock in front of one of those cars. Not human individuals will get to what it takes for a human individual to be able to stop one of those cars. You're looking at about a 7,300 pound rock because there's friction on both sides. And in order to completely stop the SUV, you basically need about £7,300 in order to Stop that. Hopefully this number can be helpful to libs because £7,300, I believe, if my math is correct, factors in to about seven overweight SOC majors. There's a picture from Fatcon if you pull that up. Graphic 1. I believe wholeheartedly if you're going to continue to be addicted to stopping SUVs with your body, this is what it's going to take to have happen. You need at least seven overweight libs, preferably with blue hair. For some reason that does matter in order to stop a Chevy Suburban. Or if the higher up libs want to get involved, go ahead and pull up. Graphic 2. That actually only factors in to one JB Pritzker. Good news, libs. If you want to actually stop motor vehicles, the math is in your favor. I also believe. I also believe that this is possibly the reason why libs are so furious about SNAP not being able to be used for junk food, soda, all of these different things that would help them gain weight. I think they understand that in order to fuel their addiction for stopping SUVs or standing in front of SUVs, they need to gain as much weight as possible. And because a lot of them are on government assistance when it comes to food, they need those high calorie, terrible foods in order to get to that target weight. 7,300 pounds is what it takes in order to stop a Chevy, Chevy Suburban. And that's what I think libs need to understand if they are going to perpetuate their addiction to standing in front of cars. Now, I know some of you may think this is a ridiculous thing to talk about and I would like to let you know that I'm 100% serious about all this. None of this is a joke. None of this is satire. None of this is sarcasm in any way, shape or form. Send your emails tptp USA.com but in all reality, there were lives that took to the street over the weekend and, well, it was in some ways exactly what we all thought. I know. Fasten your seatbelts, hold onto your seats. You're telling me that the libs didn't get their way on something and all of a sudden they decided to burn things down. Now, there are a couple isolated incidents, but actually there is good news. But first I want to play you just a little bit of the footage that came out of some of these quote unquote protests, we like to call them riots here over the weekend. I believe this is cut 8. Okay? So you can see that. I believe that's in Minneapolis I think that's K Cam Higby's footage there. But some libs decided, hey, this is, this is just the worst thing in the world. So we've got to tear down the city now, interestingly enough. And I do think this is actually good news if I'm being so much in you in here. I do think this is actually good news because we actually didn't see the mass chaos that we've seen in the past. Read the BLM George Floyd riots where they caused what, $5 billion worth of damage in the city of Minneapolis alone and countless injuries, property damage across the country. We actually didn't see as much of that. Now the libs will probably take a win. They're saying, look, we are peaceful sometimes, even though we all know that they're not. But I think the key point is they were quote unquote, not as violent as they usually were, but not without trying. What I think is actually the pinpoint here that stopped a lot of this was the law enforcement was ready for it. I think, and I think you'd probably agree. Tbtppsa.com if you disagree. In 2020 a lot of law enforcement agencies were kind of caught off guard. Holy cow, they're gonna go burn down their own city. Why would they do that? And that led to a lack of law enforcement. However, in this period in time, having lived through that just a couple years ago, I think most law enforcement goes, oh, we should stop that, we should not let that happen. This is a clip from Human Events that kind of shows a bunch of lib protesters standing in the middle of the streets and the law enforcement agencies that are tasked with enforcing the law in that area saying nuh, absolutely not. Cut nine. So that's that. Basically the bottom line is that a lot of these protests, riots, when they did get out of hand and they did get violence for violent, fortunately law enforcement was there to put an end to that the best way they knew how it was actually enforced the law. Now we talked a lot last week about various libs and high power positions. We talked about Rachel Maddow and talked about rules for radicals. And then that Philadelphia police chief that I thought, I honest to God thought she was. I thought that was like a Babylon be like actress the way that she was talking. Interestingly enough, there is some voices of reason out there, despite a bunch of libs speaking bouting off a bunch of nonsense. Um, I want to end this kind of diatribe about the riots that took place around the country or at least tried to start up around the country. Fortunately, law enforcement was able to quell a lot of those. Um, but there is some voices of reason and I, I don't know this guy's politics, but he is a superintendent of Chicago pd, a guy named Larry Snelling. So I, I would imagine that he's probably a registered lib. I don't know. But regardless of his political stance, there at least is some voice of reason into. In response to the chaos that lives tend to perpetrate. Watch this. This is cut 10. Larry Snelling, the Chicago PD superintendent, talking about what you can and cannot do if law enforcement is in your vicinity. Cut 10.
Law Enforcement Official
Let me make this clear. Federal agents, ICE, HSI are officers. They are agents of law enforcement. If you box them in with vehicles, it is reasonable for them to believe that they are being ambushed and that this could end in a deadly situation. And it's reasonable for them to use force based on those conditions. Do not box in any law enforcement officer.
Joe Bob
I'm of two minds on this, as I'm sure a lot of you are as well. One, obviously you say, thank God somebody who probably is, I don't know his politics, but he's again, works for Chicago pd, probably, you know, has some of those political proclivities, but thank God somebody has a head on their shoulders that isn't filled with social justice nonsense and goes, yeah, none of this stuff is okay. That's my first thought. My second thought is, why on earth does somebody have to say this? I get, I probably. This is probably a lot of your thoughts as well. Tptpc.com if you'd like to send along an email or comment, wherever it is that you happen to be watching this. Why does somebody actually have to say, don't stand in front of law enforcement vehicles. Why is this the place we've gotten to as a society where a law enforcement official has to tell people, don't do that. I can understand. You know, you're telling, I have a toddler. You're telling a two year old, hey, don't put your hand on the stove, it's hot. I get that. I understand there, you know, when, when you're not as used to, you know, the happenings of the world, you maybe need to be told. Why is it, though, that in 2026 we are in a position where I am hailing this guy as some sort of, I guess, rhetorical hero, at least for this moment, because he said something that's so plainly obvious? Really, anybody with a pulse should understand I'm of two Minds here very happy he said it. I'm also very, very concerned that he had to say it. Now, we do have a little bit of time. So I want to round this out here with this clip that's been making its way around the Internet. Because a lot of this, you know, when you boil it down, when you take a 30,000 foot view, you, when you step back and look at what this is all being done in response to. Well, it's illegal immigration, obviously, it goes without saying the last four years was just utter chaos. Tens of millions of people came across the borders, got driver's licenses in the state of California for some reason, and are just here. And unfortunately, and I do say this, unfortunately, unfortunately, we got to fix the problem. I wish we didn't have to fix this problem. Nobody wants this problem, but it does have to be done. So the Trump administration is doing everything in its power to, to fix the problem. Now, that being said, it wasn't all that long ago that libs were saying the same thing. I'm going to play you a clip of two people that you're going to roll your eyes. Why do you have these, these people on the screen? Just to illustrate the point that the normal position for both conservatives and libs has been the position that we still hold. The libs have gone nuts, as evidenced by what was happening not all that long ago. Play cut 14.
Law Enforcement Official
If you're a criminal, you'll be deported. If you plan to enter the US illegally, your chances of getting caught and sent back just went up. The actions I'm taking are not only lawful, they're the kinds of actions taken by every single Republican president and every single Democratic president for the past half century.
Joe Bob
I think we got to have tough.
Sponsor/Announcer
Conditions, tell people to come out of the shadows. If they've committed a crime, deport them, no questions asked, they're gone.
Joe Bob
Okay? What? Who had that on their 2026 bingo card? Us agreeing with Obama and Hillary Clinton. Now, granted, that's a couple of years ago. I, I would imagine they're probably reading the tea leaves of the political left at the moment and going, ah, we're not gonna comment on this at all. This is crazy. But that is the position they held not all that long ago. That I think is, you know, my real only hope at this point. Um, obviously our, will increase our goals as those goals are met. But at this point, I would just like to see President Trump get to Obama numbers. Obama, if you're unaware of this, and I'm sure if you're watching this you probably are is the deportation presidential champion of the United States of America. And for some reason libs were totally fine with it happening under him. And for some for for whatever reason, Orange man, bad tds, all of those reasons they think, well, Trump doing exactly what Obama did at a much lower scale. By the way, I'd love to see Trump get to Obama's numbers. Trump doing it is just so horrible and awful that we need to fuel our addiction of stuff standing in front of vehicles in order to stop it. TBT tbsa.com is the email if you'd like to send along your thoughts, comments, concerns, even criticisms, which I'm sure we'll get a couple emails like don't play Obama. I don't care what he said and I get it. Tptpc.com if you want to send along that email, leave a comment wherever it is that you're watching this. And if that comment email is disgusting, horrible, bigoted and just downright rude, chances are we'll actually probably read it. We'll be right back after the break. Don't go away.

It saddens me that we even have to qualify these remarks because I understand, or at least have attempted to understand through your voices, your concern, your fear, your anger. Bravo. That. That was a. That was an actor master class I believe, right there. That is a spokesperson for the Portland Police Department. If you missed this story Last week, there were two individuals that were shot by ICE in Portland. Portland. The libs jumped on it, and then they decided to jump off of it as soon as they realized the reality of it. Those two folks that were shot in Portland were shot during a legal attempt to arrest those two individuals because they were in the country illegally. They unfortunately shot. Nobody wants to see anybody get shot. That's. I mean, that just goes without saying. But just putting that out there in case some libs are like, you want people to get shot? No, no, nobody wants to. Nobody wants to have to use violence in these situations. But if you're trying to subdue a criminal with a lengthy rap sheet, which is what those ICE agents were doing, sometimes you have to use physical enforcement. Uh, anyways, turns out that those two had long criminal rap sheets and ties to Trend, the murderous drug gang. And because of those reasons, this guy, Officer Day, decided he needed to cry during the press conference, broke down in tears. Oh, my gosh, I can't. I hate that this happened. It's crazy that we even have to qualify this. These are people. And to an extent, I understand that he. They. They are people, and nobody wants to see people get hurt. But if those people have a long rap sheet and are a part of a criminal narco terrorist gang, I don't know how much sympathy I'm supposed to have. This guy is clearly putting on a show, trying to assuage his constituents. I'm not sure if he's an elected. There's actually a great email about that that we'll get to in later in the Mailbag segment. I'm not sure if he's elected or appointed. I would imagine he's elected, trying to make sure he holds onto his seat. And if he's not, regardless, it's a. At that level, it's probably a political position. Speaking of political positions and indictments or criminal investigations, Jerome Powell, the Fed chair, released a video over the weekend that looks like a hostage video. Not gonna lie, he looks like he's in a hostage situation. He announced to everybody that he's under a criminal investigation and then used that opportunity to say why it is now whether or not you think it's justified. We'll talk about it in just a second. But I want to play you the clip of Jerome Powell, which, by the way, up until this point has been seen 63 million times on which is a crate. When's the last time the. The chair of the Federal Reserve got 63 million views? Like 00 times in history. Has anybody been that interested in the Federal Federal Reserve chair, but he released a statement saying, hey, the DOJ is investigating me. It looks like a hostage video, but it's actually a really, really interesting story. Watch this and we will discuss. I believe this is cut 11.
Jerome Powell
On Friday, the Department of justice served the Federal Reserve with grand jury subpoenas threatening a criminal indictment related to my testimony before the Senate Banking Committee last June. That testimony concerned, in part, a multi year project to renovate historic Federal Reserve office buildings. This new threat is not about my testimony last June or about the renovation of the Federal Reserve buildings. It is not about Congress's oversight role. The Fed, through testimony and other public disclosures, made every effort to keep Congress informed about the renovation project. Those are pretexts. The threat of criminal charges is a consequence of the Federal Reserve setting interest rates based on our best assessment of what will serve the public rather than following the preferences of the president.
Joe Bob
First things first, Jerome Powell. Blink twice if you are okay. Clearly this is a hostage video. The Federal Chair, Reserve has been. The Federal Reserve chair has been taken hostage somewhere and was forced to record that video. Obviously, kid, I don't want to kid about that actual situation because if that was the case, I would actually be concerned. He's an American citizen, but he's basically saying, oh, this is, this is entirely political. But is it really? First things first, let's talk about the interest rates. Really? Jerome Powell said, well, this is, has nothing to do with politics. It's, it's what's in the best interest of the American people. We need to cut rate or we need to keep rates high because that's what's going to spur on the American economy. Despite the Federal Reserve keeping rates high, the Trump economy is doing fantastically well. We had those reports out of the Atlanta Fed on Friday. But he's keeping the rates high, not for political reasons, but because of. That's what's best for the American people. Now, Interestingly enough, in 2024, uh, many economists argue that Jerome Powell and the Federal Reserve cut the rates prematurely to help Kamala. Now, again, no, no politics here, says Jerome Powell. This is all this is. Politically. We, we are not a politically motivated actor. For some reason, we are entirely separated from the political climate in the United States of America, which would again be the first in that sort of position to not have any sort, of, any sort of involvement, politically speaking. But to say that this is specifically about inflation would entirely neglect one of the biggest wastes of money in the federal government that I've seen. I think in a very long time, if any of this is all true. Now, just for the record, the spokesperson for the District attorney of Washington, D.C. who brought or is bringing the criminal charges, said that we do not comment on ongoing investigations. So nobody's commenting about this necessarily. Trump on NBC News on Sunday night last night denied he's like, I don't even know what you're talking about. I've, I've no idea. He, I learned from Jerome Powell that he is under criminal investigation. Trump, as a quote, said, I don't know anything about it, but he's certainly not a very good fit for the Fed. He's not very good at building buildings, which I think is what this is actually about. And from the numbers, it seems possibly justified at the very least to look into it, because, holy cow, the Federal Reserve is spending a lot of your money and my money on refurbishing and restoring, quote, unquote, historical buildings. And I use air quotes there because historical building. I'm not entirely sure if this constitutes that. As of 2026, the Washington, D.C. federal Reserve headquarters complex in Washington, D.C. is being renovated for an estimated total cost of two and a half billion dollars, which is a lot of money. Now, there was a video circulating, I believe it was in June or July of this past year, where President Trump was touring the renovation facilities with Jerome Powell. And Trump gave Powell this. This is just gold. This is just Trump gold One, the guy is a contractor. He knows what building costs are supposed to be and when. For some reason he's looking at this goes $3 billion. What the heck is going on here? He does exactly what Trump does. He calls him on it on the spot. And Jerome Powell. Oh, I don't know. This. This is old. Watch the clip. I believe this is whatever the next cut is.
Jerome Powell
This came from us.
Joe Bob
Yes. I don't know who does that.
Jerome Powell
Are you including the Martin renovation, you just added entire capital.
Joe Bob
Yeah.
Jerome Powell
You just said you just added in a third building, is what that is. That's a third building.
Joe Bob
It's a building that's being built.
Jerome Powell
No, it's been. It was built five years ago. We finished Martin five years ago.
Joe Bob
It's part of the overall work. So. So going to take a look. We're going to see what's happening. And it's got a long way. Do you expect any more additional cost overruns?
Jerome Powell
Don't expect them. We're ready for them, but we have a little bit of a reserve that we may use. But, no, we don't expect to be finished in 2027. We're well along, as you can see.
Joe Bob
Nice to take these off every once in a while when we're not under too much danger. That is classic Trump. Just like, hey, here's this big thing that everybody's asking questions about. And then Jerome Powell tries to weasel way his way out. No, no, this building got finished, dude. It's part of the entire complex. What he's talking about is $3.1 billion being spent on all of the renovations that took place entirely under your leadership. That's what he's saying in Drum. No, that built that building is. That building's finished already. Okay, so it didn't cost $3 billion to redo the entire complex. The total size of the consolidated complex around among upon completion will be approximately 1.1 million square feet. That includes both of the existing spaces and the new expansion spaces. Approximately 408,38,000 square feet of new construction is being built on both sides. Okay, so, so what am I getting at by saying all of that? Okay, so what does this equate to price per square foot? And you tell me if the American people are getting a good deal on this. Based on a $2.5 billion budget for a 1.1 million square foot facility, the cost of the renovation and the expansion is approximately $2,300 per square foot. Now, just to put that in context, premium DC office buildings typically cost around $600 to build per square foot. And that's private enterprise. In one of the most expensive cities in the world. In the most expensive city in the world, New York City costs approximately cost $1,200. So half. In other words, the federal government in refurbishing historical buildings, which by the way, the buildings were built in the 30s. The house that I live in is older than that building. So I, you know, historical building renovations. I'm not entirely sure. I wonder what my wife could do with $2,300 per square foot on our historical house. I'd probably be quite a bit. She could probably do. She could probably that she'd stretch that budget quite a ways. You'd find for some reason an elevator inside of a 110 year old house. But just to put that in perspective, Cowboys Stadium cost $1.3 billion to build. And again, we're talking about the Federal Reserve renovating existing buildings. Yeah, they're adding additions to it, but the majority of it is renovations that cost two and a half billion dollars. Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas that the Raiders just built not all that long ago cost $2 billion. This is a stadium that houses 100,000 people. In other words, all I'm trying to get at is the DOJ is responding to testimony that Jerome Powell gave to the Senate Banking Commission Committee in June of last year, saying, hey, you lied about some of these overruns. This, this is, this is quite expensive and I don't think this is justified. And Jerome Powell says, well, of course the Federal Reserve building needs to rival the palace of Versailles. Again, ridiculous. He didn't actually say that, but it's a ridiculous assertion to make that. No, no, this, all of this is above board. Tim Scott, we don't have time to play the full video, but Tim Scott, senator on the Banking Committee, asked, hey, in April of last year, the Wall Street Journal and the New York Times had pieces about this budgeting crisis. Effectively, did you guys change your plans before it was publicly known or after? And Jerome Powell said we could talk about that, talk about that privately. In other words, it looks like allegedly someone got caught in overspending by an insane degree. And then only until it was publicly known, only when it was publicly known did he say, we, we probably should look at this. Now, all of that to be said. Mentioned this briefly in the initial explanation of this. All of that to be said. President Trump is a real estate developer. He says he has nothing to do with this, and I believe him on that. But effectively, if you're going to try and screw somebody over, it's not the guy who knows how to develop real estate. President Trump did say in his interview on NBC said, yeah, he's not very good at building buildings, which appears to be abundantly true because he cost, it cost $2,300 per square foot, which is an insane amount of money. And if you're going to try and pull one over on somebody, maybe don't make it a real estate developer in one of the most difficult cities to build real estate in, turned reality TV show star rocketed to the top of that and then ran for president and won the first time around. Maybe that's not the guy you should try and pull one over on. Just a thought. We got a lot to get to here. I'm going to talk briefly about what's going on in Iran. Also, I want to hit the Golden Globes. The Golden Globes happened last night. I can almost guarantee you none of you watched it, so I'll recap. And actually, I, I think there's actually some good news coming out of the Golden Globes. We'll get to that in Just a quick second, we'll be right back after the break. Joe Bob
Fine, you can just hang out with the guys. Oh, thanks babe. I gotta go.
Jerome Powell
Peace.
Joe Bob
All right. Yeah. Did we listen to the same call? Like, yeah, we did that. That is not good. She said not good. She knows she said that fine. Which means he can go. Yeah, she said it's fine. You can hang out with the boys. I can hang. It's the way she said it. You guys understand? She wasn't like, oh yeah, Blake, that's totally fine. She was like, no, that's fine. She wouldn't have said it's fine if it wasn't fine. Yo, she did say fine because it's not fine. Otherwise she would have said this is. You guys are just overthinking this crazy degree. You're underthinking this. You're not going to Have a girlfriend in five days because you can't pick up my face. It's fine. It's not a big deal. Exactly, but it's not fine. I mean, that's, isn't that classic just men versus women and the differences that we have. I mean, societally, culturally. But that's like, it's fine doesn't mean it's fine. It's, it's, it's fine means no. You can't do whatever it is that you just asked to do. That's a nicer way of saying no. And apparently some guys in this video are married and they understand that and other guys are not, and they don't understand that. But speaking of women, interesting kind of correlation going on in Iran. I know we've talked about Iran. We're not going to talk about a ton, even though there's, there's actually a ton in order to, to be, to discuss, if we had the time and, you know, other experts on that would be, it would be really interesting. But the protests going on in Iran over the weekend, the BBC has some pretty, pretty crazy numbers, they've said. According to the BBC, as of now, about 650 protesters have been killed by Iranian security forces. The Internet has been blacked out for almost 100 hours now, which is, is crazy. There's some video leaking out of that. But overall, across the nation, only 1% of the typical amount of Internet access has been reported since the blackout occurred on January 8, which was last week. Bottom line is, what's going on Iran is. It feels hopeful. Honestly, I would love to see the ayatollah and the mullahs be toppled over, and therefore with them goes the financial support for any of the radical Islamists around the world. But one of the ironic things that was pointed out by Melanie Phillips in the New York Post, among many other people, is the lack of support by libs stateside. I don't need to remind you all about this, but this, again, kind of puts it into the context when last summer, I mean, really the last couple years now, we have seen protest after protest after college campus building after college campus building being taken over by pro Hamas rioters. Effectively, for some reason, you had a bunch of libs saying all of the Palestinian efforts are justified. Everything they do is fantastic. Great. We're going to take over a building to quote, unquote, protest and show our support. Okay, where is that same support for women in Iran who are hopefully going to topple over their dictatorship Regime? Regime doesn't seem to be anywhere. Why is There such a glaring double standard. If you want to look at the, well, let's look at those two geographical locations separately. In Gaza, women don't get treated well, same as in Iran. And if you are an actual supporter of women's rights and doing all the feminism everywhere, would you not be in support of overthrowing the regime that put women in burkas mandated by law? Unless, well, you're too stupid to recognize your own double standard. Now, the question is whether or not the United States is going to get involved. I probably don't have the expertise to find, fully give like a, an in depth analysis of what would happen, what should happen, what my thoughts should be. But overall, in 79, I believe it was the United States, the CIA effectively overthrew the Shah of Iran and thought, hey, this is going to be better, this is going to be good for us in regards to the oil trade. And well, turns out wasn't, wasn't the best thing. Now, that's not to say you would have known at the time, but going forward, you know, the question obviously arises of if the US Gets involved, does that actually make it better or make it worse? Now, the difference is outside support from the international community, but really to the United States, support is different from sole involvement. If the United States was entirely on their own leading this revolution, which they are not, that would be one thing. And it's entirely different than the United States supporting an already existing and already happening revolution against a regime that is no good to the United States of America. Now, again, I'm not necessarily giving thoughts or opinions here. I'm just kind of thinking, hey, this is what we should be thinking about. This is what we should be considering. When Trump says that, hey, we will get involved if you're killing too many civilians. Not sure what he means by that, not sure what our approach would be. But the bottom line is this seems to be from what we're looking at, an organic groundswell, grassroots effort. And that's different than the United States going in and doing something entirely on their own. If you get the support of the people on the ground, supporting people on the ground is entirely different than just taking out a regime just because you don't like them. So we'll probably just kind of briefly talk about Iran as this situation continues. Like I said, I am not an expert here, but it does look like that the, it does look like the objectively bad Iranian regime could be on its way out. Coming up next, I want to talk about the Golden Globes for just a little bit before we get to our mailbag questions. Tptpc.com is the email address. You can leave a comment wherever it is that you are watching. Also go subscribe to all of our social media platforms. Just type in job. You'll be pretty much anywhere you'll be able to find us. We'll be right back after the break. Don't go away. Name one good thing about the other side. You're brainwashed. If you can't name one bad thing about your side, you're brainwashed. It's as simple as that. Okay, I'll take the bait. One good thing about the left. The coffee is fantastic. I've said this time and time again when I'm in just traveling around I want to go to a coffee shop. I don't really know what's good. I look for the wokest possible coffee shop and chances are that overweight social social justice warrior making that coffee is going to is going to be spectacular. Something bad about our side. Coffee is not as good. This is entirely coffee related answers. So there's that. Email us tptbsa.com if you'd like to participate in that discussion or conversation. I wanted to talk briefly about the Golden Globes. The Golden Globes used to be a massive all of the stars in Hollywood would come out. It used to be kind of different from the Oscars because this is the one where it's like a dinner and you're like some, several celebrities are quite tipsy and they kind of go off half cocked on things. But some of the, some of the norm in Hollywood has been especially in recent years we need to get up on stage and make a political point. We need to walk the red carpet and we need to talk about politics because we the Hollywood elite know better than you, the stupid consumer. That is what Hollywood has been about for so long. Actually a little bit of good news on that front but this is just a taste of what it has been like consistently. This is Mark Ruffalo. Don't make him angry. He might poop himself or do whatever it is that he happens when he gets angry. This is cut 13 on the golden Globes red carpet. Watch this.
Mark Ruffalo
This is for her. This is for the people in the United States who are terrorized and scared today. I know I'm one of them. I love this country and what I'm seeing here happening is not America.
Joe Bob
Mark, why do you feel that this platform is still useful to spread a message like this?
Mark Ruffalo
Listen, I want to pretend like this. I want to be here to celebrate and I Am here to celebrate and I'm proud to have a Golden Globe nomination. But, but also this is not normal anymore. And so I don't know how I, how I could be quiet. And I'm feeling a little sick. So it's hard to BS right now.
Joe Bob
What you're seeing there is a terrorized and scared individual walking on the red carpet, probably wearing a hundred thousand dollar watch and a several thousand dollars suit. That is a terrorized and scared individual. Mark Ruffalo's an idiot. I mean, that's really just what it is. He's just an idiot. Uh, makes some good movies, we'll say that fine actor, but also just a freaking idiot. Now the good news on this front is I watched a lot of the Golden Globes so that you didn't have to. And what my takeaway was is that the norm of Hollywood getting up there and talking about, you know, political issues, saying Orange man bad didn't really happen. It happened a couple times. And yeah, the audience reacted as they do in the Hollywood elite circles, but overall it didn't really have the vibe of we hate conservatives and instead just kind of in a lot of ways stuck to the art. Now you can, you can have the discussion of, well, the art is woke and therefore celebrating. Okay, fine, fine, fine. Okay. I think that's coming around. I'm hopeful that art kind of makes a bend back to reality, but overall there's only like three people. Ish, give or take. Gene Smart, who you don't know, and I have no idea who is but winner of the best actors in a TV series for musical comedy for half hacks said just this. There's a lot to be said tonight. Doesn't really matter what she said. Who cares? But basically she kind of hinted to a couple different things. Judd Apatow, since said as a presenter said he since we, since since then we've. We've had Covid, I believe we are in a dictatorship now. Then he kind of pivoted back to his jokes. That again, really kind of part of the only real hits. It's stupid and ridiculous and I don't think it's persuaded anybody. So fine. And then Nikki Glazer Glaser, who hosted the show, made a couple remarks. But the bottom line is there's like three people that said mean things about conservatives, at least in my view of it. And again, you can quibble about, well, the art itself is woke and Netflix has gay, transgender, wheelchair bound black lesbians playing the part of George Washington. Yeah, you can make all those comments and that's fair. But overall, as a, as a show, I guess clearly the message has gotten across to whoever's producing the Golden Globes that, hey, none of this stuff is actually beneficial and it's really just detrimental to what it is that we're trying to do. Maybe we'll talk about, maybe we'll talk about who won the best picture. It was actually historical reimagining of Shakespeare. Interesting enough. Shakespeare, one of the great artists, but also philosophers. We don't have time to get into all that. Our Mango bag segment is coming up next. TPTBSA.com if you'd like to send along an email. And if your email is aggressive, disgusting, and just downright dirty, you have a better chance of being read. We'll be right back after the break. Don't go away. Right there with that big rock. Who? Oh, crap.
Law Enforcement Official
Money.
Joe Bob
Oh yeah, that's money. Oh, that, that is, that is peak male content right there. I don't, I don't know if you were like, well, okay, so if you're watching with your wife, wives look over your husband and ask him if they thought that video was cool. And guy like, yeah, I couldn't take my eyes off it. Things falling from high places and just watching it fall all the way down 100%. And then your wives are probably like, I don't get it. And that's fine. Want to get to mailbag in the short couple minutes we've got left on the topic of the topic of that sheriff or chief of police in Pennsylvania, John says we are living in a clown world. Lord, he just watched the clown for the sheriff of pa. Yeah, Pete on that same topic says her uniform is a costume or a, or a thrift store purchase. If it's a real uniform, she should be, she should fire the tailor. You know, Pete, we don't need to necessarily make fun of people's body image here. This is not a body shaming show. Now granted, I did a JB Pritzker earlier on the show, but I'm exception. She looks like a place fake police officer and her attitude reveals she must be a low IQ person. Probably correct. Wayne, interestingly enough, weighs in on the differences between elected sheriffs and appointed police chiefs. Elected versus appointed elected sheriffs answer to the people. Appointed sheriffs answer to their bosses. Chiefs of police answer to the bosses. Also city mayors and city councils. You need to look at the blue cities and the blue counties and he's basically saying, hey, there's a difference between elected sheriffs who generally do the will of the people because they are elected by the people versus police chiefs like ones we've seen in so many different places. Minneapolis, who was that guy? Actually I think it was, I think was the Minneapolis guy too. Minneapolis has just been in the news constantly. But the guy that was saying, you know, Jesus was a refugee over Christmas and talked about how bad it was enforcing immigration policy. But that guy's appointed and there's a difference, right? The appointed people are going to do exactly what the powers that be want them to do, whereas the sheriffs or the people that are elected are going to do what the people want to do. On the topic of whether or not we played that Laura Ingram clip last week where she was asking a overweight, probable non binary person if they have a job who's protesting on the streets and she said I'm getting paid right now. And I asked, well is that taxable income? Donnie said not only is it taxable income but if they're a paid ad agitator and they do this full time, they should be paying self employment taxes as well. That is a good point. Unless they're W2, there's employment tax to be paid. I know this because I have to pay self employment tax and I freaking hate it. It's ridiculous. William sends along a nice note. Wonderful show tonight Joe. He's talking about Friday show. Really appreciate that. He says keep the blue headed screaming fat ladies coming. Keep up the good fight brother. Thank you. Thank you William. And Jake says this, this show is level headed, light hearted and serious all at the same time. Love it. We asked our producers to fact check and results came back true. All of those statements, praise of the show is actually accurate. Any criticisms of the show are of course fake news. So that's, I mean that's just kind of the standard we keep here. We want to be, we want to be vigilant when it comes to fact checking and reporting the actual facts and all of the praise after being fact checked comes out to be true. We are the snopes of our own kind that's going to do it for us here. Really appreciate you sticking around tuning in. TPT tpusa.com is the email if you'd like to send along your thoughts, comments, concerns, criticism. Also go subscribe to any of the social media platforms. Just type in J O B O B. It'll be very very easy to find. We're now live on on several of those those platforms. So appreciate you sticking around tuning in. We will see you tomorrow same time, same place. God bless America. This is an I heart podcast. Guaranteed human.
In this episode of "Turning Point Tonight," host Joe Bob delivers his trademark blend of satire, pop culture references, and pointed political commentary. The show’s core theme orbits around the latest protest trends among left-wing activists ("libs"), current immigration enforcement flare-ups, controversy surrounding Federal Reserve Chairman Jerome Powell, developments in Iran, and a recap of the Golden Globes. Joe Bob peppers the episode with personal takes, humorous analogies, listener engagement, and critiques of both left- and right-wing actors.
Timestamps: 02:13 – 18:55
Mockery of Protest Tactics:
Joe Bob opens by lampooning recent protests where left-wing activists have blocked, or attempted to block, vehicles—framing it as an “addiction” for “libs” to stand in front of large SUVs. He applies hyperbolic math and comedic analogies to illustrate the futility and absurdity he sees in these tactics.
Immigration Enforcement as Protest Catalyst:
Law Enforcement Response:
Notable Voice of Reason:
Chicago PD Superintendent Larry Snelling’s warning about boxing in federal agents is played and praised:
“If you box them in with vehicles, it is reasonable for them to believe that they are being ambushed... and [may] use force.” (15:01, Larry Snelling)
Joe Bob’s take: Simultaneous relief that Snelling stated the obvious and concern that it needed to be said at all.
“Why does somebody actually have to say, ‘Don’t stand in front of law enforcement vehicles?’ Why is this the place we’ve gotten to as a society...” (15:49)
Timestamps: 18:55 – 22:23
Timestamps: 22:23 – 25:40
“Bravo. That... was an actor master class right there... Trying to assuage his constituents.” (22:23)
Timestamps: 25:40 – 36:40
Powell’s Statement:
Powell appears (in Joe Bob’s words, “like a hostage”) explaining a DOJ criminal investigation over testimony and massive renovation expenses at the Federal Reserve.
Political vs. Practical Motives:
Joe Bob speculates whether this is a politically motivated move or justified scrutiny into overspending, comparing the Fed’s $2.5 billion renovation cost ($2,300/sq ft) to premium private developments (e.g., Cowboys Stadium, Allegiant Stadium).
"Maybe don’t make it a real estate developer in one of the most difficult cities to build real estate in... Maybe that's not the guy you should try and pull one over on." (36:20)
Timestamps: 37:54 – 44:45
Developments:
Describes ongoing protests in Iran, a government-imposed near-total internet blackout, and 650 reported killed by state forces (BBC numbers). Joe Bob admits limited expertise but notes:
“If you are an actual supporter of women’s rights... would you not be in support of overthrowing the regime that put women in burkas mandated by law?” (42:00)
Asserts the movement in Iran is organically driven, and supporting people on the ground is different than a U.S.-led intervention.
Timestamps: 44:45 – 49:59
“This is for the people of the United States who are terrorized and scared today. I know I’m one of them...” (46:24)
Timestamps: 50:23 – End
Joe Bob’s delivery is marked by irreverence, quick-fire satire, direct personal opinions, and willingness to poke at both political allies and opponents (though he saves his sharpest jabs for “libs” and activist leftists). He invites listener engagement and emphasizes a community-style show, even playfully inviting critical and hostile messages for on-air reading.
This episode is a rapid tour of hot-button issues in 2026, combining headline commentary, sarcastic humor, and some factual deep dives (especially regarding immigration and government spending). Joe Bob’s approach is intentionally provocative, blending information, entertainment, and bias for a distinctly “Real America’s Voice” brand of right-of-center punditry.
