This is an iHeart podcast. Guaranteed Human. What does Jeff Bezos, Lin Manuel Miranda, Jay Leno and Donald Trump all have in common? Actually, one very interesting thing the likes of which nobody is talking about and maybe they should. My name is Joe Bob. Welcome to the show. Obviously you've heard by now, Maduro has been captured. He's been brought to the United States of America. He is in New York. Him and his wife made their first court appearance today. They pled not guilty to drug trafficking laws. Not a narco terrorist. Now you may be wondering, what does Jeff Bezos, Lynn Manuel Miranda, Jay Leno all have in common with Donald Trump? Well, they all worked at McDonald's at one point. However, none of those people, uh, former McDonald's employees, accomplished what I believe is the most impressive accomplishment of any former McDonald's employee. That is capturing a narco terrorist who also happens to be the sitting president of a foreign country. Nicholas Maduro, again, brought to the United States on drug charges from Venezuela. Gotta remind you, tptpusa.com is the email if you'd like to send along any of your thoughts, comments, concerns, even criticisms. I know a lot of people have, have a lot of different thoughts. We're going to talk about a lot of different components of this. Maduro is going to take up a good section of the show today, rightfully so. But don't worry, we'll also talk about Tampon Tim no longer running. I do think I know why that is the case and it's not the reason that everybody else is talking about. Also, ma', am, Danny got sworn in as the New York City mayor. If you have any of thoughts on any of those topics, anything we talk about here today or what we should be talking about. Go to the online social media platforms. You'll be able to find it there. Nicolas Maduro, former president of Venezuela, which I believe I'm pronouncing that correctly, has been captured in, in what I think is one of the most impressive things, like I said, as a former McDonald employee was able to pull off, but outside of the McDonald's joke, one of the most impressive things I think the United States and this president has been able to pull off 88 minutes the US was on the ground in Venezuela and peacefully captured. Well, peacefully, the, you know, Nicholas Maduro being captured didn't go so well for a lot of his security, but peacefully, in my opinion, regarding the fact that no American was killed, yes, there were some injuries. But overall, the United States pulled off an incredible mission into Venezuela and brought the narco terrorist, who also happens to be the president of Venezuela, to a court in New York City, which ironically is ma' am Danny's area. And Ma' am Danny is not a fan of Maduro being brought in here. But different topic. We'll talk about all of that in just a little bit. The thing that I want to talk about first, and I think this kind of sets the stage for all of this, the 30,000 foot view here is the idea of America First. We've been talking about America first constantly since Trump came on the scene. That is one of his big campaign pushes. We need to be America First. Now, there are a bunch of people, especially on our side of the aisle, that are not big fans of this because this is not America First. Well, let me take tell you what America first means in the context of Donald Trump. I get there are a bunch of people to the right, on the right that say, well, America first means isolationist. We need to retreat into ourselves. We need to worry about what's going on in the United States. And I can be sympathetic towards that. However, what Donald Trump means, President Trump means when he says America first is that the interests of America come first. Now, sometimes that means going and doing things around the world that are in the interest of the American people. It doesn't entirely mean be totally isolationist. It doesn't entirely mean that we can't go do things that are going to protect our homeland that may be outside of the geographical homeland of the United States of America. America First. What Donald Trump means when he says that is that the American people and their interests will come first. And I believe, and I know many of you believe as well, that is the case in this Venezuela incident, let's call it Venezuela is in our hemisphere. There's been lots of talk about Monroe Doctrine, there's been lots of talk about the Chinese coming into Venezuela, the Russians coming into Venezuela, our adversaries around the world coming into Venezuela, trying to use Maduro as a pawn in, in this broader war. I believe, and you don't have to agree necessarily. Tptpc.com if you want to send along your emails or leave a comment Wherever it is that you're watching this, I happen to believe that America first means making sure that foreign adversaries all around the world don't get a foothold in a very, very close proximity country to the United States. I believe that, that America first, and I believe Donald Trump believes this as well. America first means, yes, we need to take care of what's going on at home. We need to fix crime, we need to shore up the border, we need to do what's right by Americans. And a part of that is making sure that our biggest adversaries being China, also Russia, in this particular case in Venezuela, do not get a foothold in a very, very close country. That can be very, very powerful if they get their act together, together, which is what China was attempting to do. So the broader context of this, I believe, is still America First. I believe that Donald Trump is acting in the interest of the American people when he won, is trying to protect American citizens from the drug trafficking that Nicholas Maduro is facilitating, but also not allowing the foreign adversaries to get a foothold there. Um, I want to play this clip from General Dan Kane, who kind of headed this whole thing up. Uh, I believe this, this is just me thinking, I, I, I, I was watching all of this stuff going on throughout this weekend and just going, yes, we are back, baby, we still got it. We won two back to back world wars. And then our military kind of got a little bit squishy. We started kind of promoting DEI stuff. Lloyd Austin, the Sec. Def. Previous to Secretary of War Pete Hegseth really focused on dei, really wanted to wear a bunch of masks and a face shield to make sure he didn't get the Foushee fever. Was really, really concerned about that stuff and not necessarily lethal readiness as regards to the military. So when I was watching all of this stuff over the weekend, I was thinking, yeah, we can do it still. And that was reiterated by General Dan Kane in this clip. Go ahead and play. What is this? SOT6.
B
Last night, on the order of the President of the United States and in support of a request from the Department of Justice, as the President said, the United States military conducted an apprehension mission in Caracas, Venezuela, to bring to justice two indicted persons, Nicholas and Cecilia Maduro. This operation, known as Operation Absolute Resolve, was discreet, precise, and conducted during the darkest hours of January 2nd and was the culmination of, of months of planning and rehearsal. An operation that, frankly, only the United States military could undertake.
A
That last part there is what fired me up so much. An operation, quite frankly, that only the United States could undertake. They were on the ground there for 88 minutes. It included 150 aircrafts, eight US destroyers. It was. He talks longer in this, in his speech about what it took. It took the collaboration between the CIA, the army, the Navy, the military as a, as a whole, just collaboration on a bunch of different teams. Several months in the planning. We had people on the ground in August watching Maduro's every single move. They built a replica of his whole hideaway place so that they could practice. They have helicopters laying down fire. Then one helicopter comes in, drops the Special forces into the, into the scene, able to secure the criminal, alleged criminal, I guess the United States. That's, you know, we still talk about that sort of thing. The alleged criminal, bring him to the United States of America to stand trial. They turned all the lights off in Caracas, which is crazy and also somewhat worrisome. A little bit of a tangent here, but when things happen in the United States and electrical grid goes down, I kind of wonder sometimes, okay, did that. Is that just a malfunction or is that China testing things out? And I would hope that the United States one has the capability to do that as well, which apparently it does, as evidenced by shutting down all the lights in Caracas. But two is aware of that sort of thing. I can't imagine that I'm aware of it and they are not. And I hope that our military is doing the best to protect us against the same sort of attacks. But there's that there, there, there was, there was explosions going on. It was set to cause confusion. Specifically, the CIA had planted spies in the. There was so much that went into this that made me say, yes, we are back. General Dan Kane also said failure for one component would have endangered the entire mission, and failure was not an option. In other words, all of the moving pieces on this incredibly, incredibly sophisticated operation went just as planned. And that is a good thing. Look, I get it. There are a lot of people, even, even the, you know, isolationist type who are saying this is, this is bad, this is not good. Now, it wasn't a military exercise, it was a law enforcement exercise. And there's, you know, all there. We can go into a bunch of the different details about that. But the broad case, case I'm trying to make here is that I believe this president is acting in the American interest with all of the different components going around this with the Chinese delegation, the Chinese delegation was there on the day that the US Took Licholas Maduro. They were still in the country as he was getting evacuated out. Isn't that crazy? The, the, the idea that this is not in America's best interest to thwart foreign adversaries and getting a foothold in Venezuela, I think is silly. I can understand the, I can understand the arguments on the other side. I get it. I think there are people that are going to come around to knowing that, hey, you know what, the drugs that this guy was facilitating, bringing to the United States, killing U.S. citizens and then opening the door to the Chinese and to the Russians, by the way, too, Venezuela. And as a part of all of this planning that had to go in it from the United States military. Venezuela has Russian S300 missile systems. They have Chinese radar that's integrated with the Russian air defenses. All of that stuff from our adversaries is already there. And so I guess another positive note here. We were able to beat all that, too. That's why I'm excited about this. I'm excited that the president is being proactive with all of this stuff. I get the arguments saying that, hey, we should be focused on what's going in here. We, we have to be able to do both. We are the biggest, greatest country the world has ever seen. And yes, we do have to take care of the criminals here. We do have to prosecute all of the people in Minnesota, for instance, and stole a billion dollars. And we will talk about that. We, we took a break. But the good news is nothing really happened over the break. Of course, that's sarcastic. A bunch of things happened over the break that we do have to talk about, and we will. And yes, we do have to take care of what's going on here in the United States. And also we need to have the capacity to be able to do things around the world that are in the interest of the American people. I believe this is one of them. Now, the political fallout of this is intense and also kind of hilarious. We're going to talk about that right after the break. A lot of the Sunday shows, George Stephanopoulos questioning Rubio is hilarious. I'm going to play you some clips from that. What Kamala Harris said is also, in fact, hilarious. We're going to read, read you what she tweeted. The political fallout on the left is, is, is just so juicy and delicious. If you have any thoughts, email the show tptp.usa.com would love to hear your thoughts on this. Is this an America first act or is it, you know, reckless endangerment of the American people? I, you know what, what do you think? TPTP USA.com. we'll be right back after the break. Don't go away.
C
Well, you just heard my conversation with Secretary Rubio. I asked him about the administration's decision not to inform Congress ahead of this operation until President Maduro had been captured. Secretary Rubio saying this was not the kind of mission where they could have afforded to notify Congress there were concerns about leaks. He made that point. President Trump made that point. Was the administration justified in this case in not briefing Congress?
A
Well, there's been no evidence that the administration has presented to justify the actions that were taken in terms of there being an imminent threat to the health, the safety, the well being, the national.
D
Security of the American people.
A
You know, I've discovered over the break that I have a new political ideology, a new political position, and that political position, especially when regarding the left, is. Oh, shut up. Just shut up, dude. Oh, there's no imminent threat. Okay, cool. So. So drugs coming into the United States, having massive drug deaths among Americans. Nah, that's. That's. That's. That's not an imminent threat. Maduro inviting the Chinese and the Russians to go build installations in his country in order to take on the United States. When the Thucydian crap of the. The number one superpower always goes to war with the number two, which is China, in this case, them, getting a foothold in Venezuela. Nah, that's. That's not. That's not an imminent threat.
B
Where.
A
Where. Where does that end? Like, if. If. If somebody has a weapon pointed at you and you say, well, we don't know specifically if that weapon is loaded. Oh, it's not an imminent threat. Look, don't shut up. That's. That is now my new political stance that I feel like is. Has been promulgated by the happenings of the last couple days, especially over the last couple weeks. Uh, and then to the point of, should they have told Congress? Oh, yeah, totally. Yeah. Congress would have definitely kept this under the hat. Wouldn't have run to the presses immediately and started leaking, like, the Titanic all of the secret information. Congress, we could totally trust Congress. Also not an act of war. There's also that it's not. You don't have to tell Congress because it's not an act of war. It's a law enforcement operation. In the same way that we would have gone to get El Chapo, we just did it with a narco terrorist. This narco terrorist just happened to be a dictator, so that makes it not okay. I don't quite understand, Hakeem. Oh, shut up. Is my new political talking point. Uh, who else is talking about this one? Kamala Harris, interestingly enough, is making some waves, and the person pointing out her idiocy is none other than Eric Adams. But first, let's get to the Kamala Harris tweet. Kamala Harris. And I'm summarizing here, actually. No, these are real quotes, but not. The entire thing is. This is, you know, book length, and we don't read the entire thing. Kamala Harris says this. Donald Trump. I'm using my scary voice. Donald Trump's actions in Venezuela do not make America safer, stronger, or more affordable. Yeah, lady. Nobody was. Oh, oh, no, it. Hold on. Making sure Western civilization thrives is not making Americans more. More affordable. Yeah, no, nobody was arguing that. She says that. That Maduro is a brutal, illegitimate dictator does not change the fact that this action was both unlawful and unwise. I can see the case for saying, oh, no, you should have notified Congress it is an act of war. I can see making that case. I don't agree with it, but I understand it. But to say it's unwise. Okay, sorry. Anything the president does is just ill advised. We should never do anything. We should. Yeah, we should just be like all the libs and never do anything ever. Because that's what libs do. They get in power and they don't ever do anything. Well, for the United States of America, they just make it worse. But if there is something that they should take action on, they just. They. They just do nothing. Re Joe Biden in Ukraine. Re Joe Biden in Afghanistan. Just. Yeah, just. Just don't do anything unwise. She goes on. Kamala Harris says the president is putting troops at risk, spending billions of dollars, destabilizing a region probably more stable now and offering no legal authority. We'll get to that in just a second with George Stephanopoulos and Marco Rubio. No exit plan and no benefit at home. All right. Co. Thousands of Americans who hopefully will not die from drug overdoses, from drugs being brought in by Maduro via the cartels because he is a drug cartel boss. As you know, it's no benefit to the Americans. All. All of those people that are now not going to die. That's. That's not a. That's not a benefit to the United States of America. But what's interestingly interesting enough about all of this is that Eric Adams, of all people, the outgoing. I guess he is the former mayor of. Of New York City, decided to repost this and then include the fact of. Hey, Kamala. Just Just so you know, on January 10th of last year, exactly, almost exactly a year ago, your administration, the Biden administration, along with, what was it, the Biden, Harris administration, not only said that Maduro needed to go, they offered a $25 million bounty for anybody with information leading to his arrest. So when Kamala Harris was the Vice President of the United States, when Joe Biden was the President of the United States, not only did they say, no, no, no, he's, he's illegitimate. This is bad, he's a bad guy. They promoted other people trying to gather information that led to his arrest. In other words, they were trying to do the same exact thing, but they couldn't. So you can't say, okay, we want to arrest this guy. And by the way, we'll give you a $25 million reward if this guy is arrested. And then when he is arrested, just because the guy who in power is somebody you don't like, say, no, no, no, he shouldn't have, he shouldn't have been arrested. It's unwise. Give me a break. Oh, shut up. Again. Which is my new political, my new political messaging re. Anything with the libs is oh, shut up. Speaking of oh, shut up, I want to play this clip from George Stephanopoulos. Over the weekend he pressed Ruby. Now, I'm not going to. Rubio had really great answers and it's not to. I'm not trying to take his answers out. It's mostly a time thing. I just want you to listen to George Stephanopoulos and how just aghast he is. But by what legal authority do we have to do this? Watch this. Cut seven.
E
He said the United States is going to run Venezuela. Under what legal authority?
D
Under. Well, first of all, what's going to happen here is that we have a quarantine on their oil. That means their economy will not be able to move forward.
E
Let me ask the question again. What is the legal authority for the United States to be running Venezuela?
A
I love Rubio's face here. That's why we paused here. Dude, I already answered the question. Under what legal authority here? Okay, this is. I'm not a legal expert. I'm not a lawyer. I'm not, I'm not a politician. The legal authority is we have bigger guns than you. That, that's the legal. That's, that's the authority. That's where the authority comes from in this particular situation. We're better than you. We kick more ass than you. We went into your country for 88 minutes shorter than a feature length movie and took your President. That's what authority we have with. The authority that we have is we're bigger, stronger and more powerful. This is the same kind of authority that I wield in my household when my toddler comes up and says, I want a fruit snack. And I say no. And she goes, under what authority? The authorities. Cuz I told you so. That, that's what authority I have. So yeah, George, under what legal? Oh, no, the international community. What you're, you're telling me the international legal whatever that we enforce because we're the United States, we're bigger, better than everybody else. We, we, whatever, dude. Under what legal authority? I want to play this other clip from Rubio because I think this is, this is. Well, this is what I, this is what I'm most excited, not most excited about. And notice we didn't play any clips from Donald Trump. Donald Trump was great. We loved what the President did over this. But I thought, I thought Rubio was the shining star of all of this. And I believe this. He won't say it, but I will will be his reward. Played this also from Stephanopoulos. Cut eight.
E
So is the United States running Venezuela right now? When the President was asked yesterday who will be running Venezuela, he said it was you. He said it was the Defense Secretary. He said it was the Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff. Are you running Venezuela right now?
A
Yes. El Presidente Rubio de Venezuela. Uh, yeah. Are you running? Yes. Donald Trump said as much too. He was asked, you know, who's gonna be running Venezuela? And he said, ah, the people behind me. And there he was like the President of Venezuela, Marco Rubio, also Secretary of State, among, you know, nine other jobs. Marco, just go. Can you, can you do all of the things, but also can you go run this socialist hellhole over here, get them back on their feet? Rubio didn't say it, but he's the guy. He's. He's going to be running Venezuela. Sorry, Rubio. El Presidente de Venezuela, Presidente Marco Rubio. Not entirely sure if my accents are quite on point there, but are you running Venezuela? Yes. Now, one of the arguments that I think a bunch of the libs are making over this is, well, we shouldn't have done this. This is not a good. This is not. They are a sovereign nation and we shouldn't have invaded and we one we didn't invade. So that is a moot point. But we shouldn't have done this because Venezuela is just a perfect, awesome place that everybody wants to live. Well, a couple Stats kind of pretty easily thwart that argument. We've talked a lot about inflation here in the United States because inflation has been a problem here, not nearly the crazy problem it is in Venezuela, annual inflation rose between 29 and 40% in 2013. Big oil crisis in 2013, that's a couple years after Maduro took office. In 2015, it rose 180% in 2016, 800%. Look, we're mad at like 8% inflation and legitimately. So that's a big jump. 800%. Allegedly over 4,000% in 2017. Somewhere in the lines of like a million basically. Money is useless now in Venezuela. So yeah, that is not good going there. Poverty 30 to 32% in 2013, surged to about 90% by 2018 to 2020. Extreme poverty between 50 and 80%. Holy cow. We shouldn't. Yeah, Venezuela is a perfect place, says all the social. They don't need, you know, their dictator to be overthrown. And again, I understand the argument from the right of that we shouldn't get involved. I don't necessarily have that opinion right now. I think America first, I've already made my case, I'm not going to make it again. But to say that Venezuela's got all of its buttons done up and you got its shoes tied on, it's got both paddles in the water, it's tethered to the more of reality that all of that is ridiculous. That is not true. None of that's true by any of the numbers. One third, about 9 million people faced food insecurity in 2020 with about 80 to 82% of households were affected by lack of food, according to a bunch of the different surveys. Child malnutrition is unbelievable and horribly sad. About 16, 15, 16% in the last five years and upwards about 20 to 40% in poorer areas. I can go on and on. There's so many different statistics. Why Venezuela is a hellhole, an S hole country, if you will. But I don't know. The case is made, hopefully. I think el Presidente de Venezuela, Macorubio will turn that ship around. I do think there are some advantages to be gained. I don't think it's entirely about. There's so many different avenues to poke at here, but we got a lot to talk about. So I want to talk about walls, I want to talk about Mamdani, but there's the oil. Things like, oh, Trump went in for oil. Rubio hit it on the head when he said, yeah, we don't really need the oil. It's, you know, we'll take it, but we got more oil here. It's more about one guy trafficking drugs in the country and to not having foreign adversaries get a foothold in Venezuela. But a lot of the different arguments being made by the libs are just a ridiculous on their face. But of course there are arguments being made by the libs. So that kind of speaks for itself. Anyways, I'm sure we're going to talk about this a lot over the next week, next couple of weeks. Like I said earlier today, Maduro made his case in a New York courthouse, said we are not guilty. You know, that remains to be seen in the process of the United States judicial system. But and I recognize that we don't even touch on all of the different things that we can talk. There's so many different components to this. But I thought operationally we should be talked about. And then the immediate political fallout with one Kamala Harris, Keem Jeffries, and then President Day of Venezuela, Rubio. We'll talk about this a lot more as time goes on and more things unfold. But again, there's a lot to get to. So coming up, I want to talk about Mam Danny over there in New York, the socialist who has taken the reins as the mayor of New York City. Tptpc.com if you've got any thoughts, comments, concerns, even criticisms, we are they're all welcome comments@tptpusa.com, also leave a comment. Wherever it is that you're watching this. Maybe we'll peruse through some of those. We do our mailbag segment in the fifth segment of the show. If you'd like to be included, make sure your comment is disgraceful, bigoted, just downright awful and has actually a better chance of getting read in our mailbag segment. Tptpsa.com, leave a comment. We'll be right back after the break. Don't go away. We will draw this city closer together. We will replace the frigidity of rugged individualism with the warmth of collectivism. If our campaign demonstrated that the people of New York yearn for solidarity, then let this government foster it. Because no matter what you eat, how you pray or where you come from. Oh. He then goes on to say, we're all two words, New Yorkers. All right. Hey, now, there's also what a weird thing. No matter what you eat. Okay. I don't know why food had maybe that's because we made fun of him so much for eating with his hands like A savage. Maybe that's why he said that. I'm burying the lead here. What did he say? We are going to get rid of the fragility or frigidity of rugged individualism. Oh, you mean the thing that made America great. And we're going to embrace the warmth of collectivism. Oh, you mean the thing that killed 100 million people over the last century? Hundreds of millions of people. Cool, dude. Great. I hope that he is not successful in anything that he does at any point during being mayor unless he resigns. I hope he's successful at that. That'd be good. That'd be good for New Yorkers. That'd be good for the country. It is super interesting the types of people that are rallying behind the hatred, criticism, let's say, is a nicer word of Ma' Am Danny. Bunch of sane libs. I'm going to read you a MSNBC thing, but before that, I want to get to a couple clips here from Mam Danny's. Actually, it's just one. It's just one other ridiculous clip. And again, we could sit here and play clips all day long of this, but I. I just thought this one was the most fun. I believe this is cut nine. This is. And the audio might be a little bit tough to hear. It couldn't get a great one. This is a. I think a poet who's dedicating this poem to a very special group of people. Watch this. Cut nine. I like to dedicate this poem to my trans queer foreign students of color.
D
At the University of Tennessee Knoxville.
A
University of Tennessee Knoxville is dedicating. What's the. No, sorry, sorry. The trans queer students of color, specifically at the University of Tennessee Knoxville. Ah, dang it. I want, before we pulled that clip away, just see Eric Adams face. What? No Big fans of Eric Adams here, but de Blasio too. Bill de Blasio, the other former mayor sitting there, was just like, huh? But isn't that indicative of the types of people that mamdaddy is putting in place? I want to play one more clip. This is his tenant czar, the czar of tenants in New York City, talking about housing and the privatization of housing and how that's such a bad and horrible thing. This is the type of thing. Now we can make fun of Ma' Am Danny as much as we want to, but this is the type of thing that is actually scary. TBTPC.com is the email address. Leave us a comment wherever it is that you're watching this. This is the. The person overseeing the rights of tenants in New York City. I believe this is cut 10.
F
I think the reality is that for centuries we've really treated property as an individualized good and not a collective good. And we are going to. Transitioning to treating it as a collective good and towards a model of shared equity will require that we think about it differently. And it will mean that families, especially white families, but some POC families who are homeowners as well, are going to have a different relationship to property.
A
Yeah, one looks pretty scary. It looks like she's auditioning to be Elphaba and Wicked without the green on. Obviously, there's no need for that. I don't know why I decided to stoop down to that level. But at the same time, it is interesting too, when you see some of these libs, like the Kamala Harris word salad is indicative of the fact that she doesn't believe anything that she's saying. The, the equity and the inclusion of the people that are most affected by the white supremacist, all of that stuff is nothing. This lady, unfortunately, was actually pretty clear and cohesive in what she was saying. She was had it together, she had her thoughts together, and that's actually what made it substantially worse. We're going to think about housing differently. The privatization of housing has not been good for anybody. You know, aside from the fact that if somebody takes personal ownership of something, they tend to make it better. And if that gets passed on to somebody else by the way of a sale, then it's, you know, better for everybody involved. The person who put the blood, sweat and tears into building something gets to sell it for a profit. So therefore there's a profit motive and they can think about things that they want to, you know, be good for everybody and that none of that stuff is good. What we should do is have people build stuff for other people who won't build stuff, because that's what it is. When it. When it comes down to it, we want you to build stuff for other people who don't want to build stuff. So. So you're going to build this stuff and then they're going to take the stuff that you build because they didn't want to build it. Great. How do you think that system is going to work out? I mean, well, how it's worked out in the past and a bunch of other socialist regimes is, okay, well, shoot. The people who build stuff don't want to build the stuff for the people who don't want to build the stuff. So there's now a huge Pile of people who don't want to build stuff. So, okay, so what do we have to do? We have to make them build it. What's going to incentivize them? Well, you can't use incentives because that would be capitalism and capitalism is bad. So instead we have to use disincentives which ends up being, I don't know, violence, threats. Realistically, it ends up being, well, we're gonna force you to build stuff for the people who don't want to build stuff. Because you not wanting to build stuff for the people who don't want to build stuff means you don't want to build stuff, which means we're gonna have to force you to do it probably at the point of a gun. So socialism in a nutshell for you. But what I think is really interesting about all of this is how many libs are teaming up against Ma' am Danny there in New York City. This is a clip. It was an opinion piece, but it is in msdnc. Sorry, PMS now. Sorry Ms. Now. I can't, I can't ever get those, those words right. PMS now. P. That actually was. I didn't actually intend to do Ms. Now. A hard left news outlet said this in an opinion piece. Guy named Caven Scroff. Scroff says this like most New Yorkers and nearly half of those who voted, I did not cast about for Zoran Mamdani in November. I'm a Democrat. I'm not a socialist or a democratic socialist. This guy is a senior advisor for the educational, political education and political commentator. Senior advisor for the institution of education. That doesn't make any sense. I copied and pasted this from the instagram from ms.dnc so that don't knock me on the grammar here. He goes on to say this. If his him being mom Dani's ideas truly are possible to work will all be better for it. Of course he has to throw that little caveat on there, pushing a piece on msnbc. But in much of the more likely scenario, they will fail, as many of us insist that they will. That failure will speak for itself and the argument about democratic socialism viability for years to come will finally be settled not by a slick media driven campaign or and rhetoric, but by the actual results or lack thereof. In other words, you've got actual libs. This guy, I don't. He says he's a Democrat. Guys like him, guys like Bill Maher will say look, you know, if it could work, great, but it won't because we've tried this before, who is it? Was it George Will saying he hopes, Ma', am Danny wins? Because every two decades or so, the country needs to be reminded of how bad these policies actually are. But it's not just us. It's not just the conservatives saying this. There are libs everywhere saying, hey, this. This isn't going to work. And I think. And I'd hope they'd point to the failures of New York City to show everybody that, yeah, maybe let's not try this again. It's been tried and it's failed again and again and again. Speaking of failures, want to talk about Tim Walls? Tampon. Tim Walls there in Minnesota running for governor. Oh, sorry, just in today. Not running for governor anymore. Uh, I do think there is a reason behind it that may shock you. It's not exactly what you might think. It's not exactly what you may have heard. It doesn't have anything to do with the fraud, really. Um, it has something to do with something else entirely. Why? Tim Walls has suspended his campaign to run for a third term as dictator. Sorry, Governor of Minnesota. That coming up after the break. Don't go away.
D
Extraordinarily difficult year for our state, and it ended on a particularly sour note. For the last several years, an organized group of criminals have sought to take advantage of this state's generosity. And even as we make progress in the fight against the fraudsters, we now see an organized group of political actors seeking to take advantage of a crisis. I don't want to mince words here. Donald Trump and his allies in Washington and in St. Paul and online want to make our state a colder, meaner place. They want to poison our people against each other by attacking our neighbors. And ultimately, they want to take away much of what makes Minnesota the best place in the country to raise a family. They've already begun trying to withhold funds that were meant to help families afford child care, and they have no intention of stopping them there.
A
Yeah, dude, nobody has any intention of stopping. Of giving your stinking state billions of dollars of our money so that you could give them to Somalis. No. Yes. We have no intention of stopping that. So not to bury the lead here, Governor Tampon, Tim Walls, as seen here with his head down and frustrated, is no longer seeking reelection as the dictator. Sorry, Governor of Minnesota. I keep saying dictator because remember how he went around with the National Guard shooting paintballs at people who were outside of their house during COVID That. That's very much what a dictator would. Very much what a Nicholas Maduro would do. But Governor Tim was doing that, you know, way before it was cool, I guess. But he's no longer running for governor. And you know, it's just the, the reason, as he stated it, is that Donald Trump and his mean people, his mean allies, Both in Washington D.C. and in Minnesota, don't want to see rampant fried fraud, have money stolen from the taxpayers. That, that's, that's, that's just those, those mean hearted conservatives, they want to make Minnesota mean. They want to make it colder. I'm not sure how it's possible to make it colder. It's already freezing there. But they, that's what they want to do. That's what the Trump administration is seeking to do. I like how he tries to spin this off as like a. No, no, this I like, I am being very attentive to the massive fraud that happened right underneath my nose that I was warned about several times but continued to ignore. I'm very, I'm very attentive to that. But also, how could this have happened? It's like, it's like the page out of the Governor Newsom book. I, we, this has happened. We need to stop this. I don't know how this is happening, but we need to put an end to it. Dude, you were in power for the last 12 years at a state level. It's your fault. You can't just pretend like, oh, this is just happened. This, this befell upon us. But Tim Walls, they're trying to play that out. I thought this was really interesting. This is in Time magazine. I read a bunch of the live news outlets because I think it's fun and interesting and I'd like to bring you the perspective that they have. And by perspective, I mean lies. This is from time. Walls, 61, pointed to the scandal and the general political climate in his statement Monday morning claiming that political gamesmanship from Republicans is making the fight against fraudsters harder to win. That. Yep, that's the problem. It's those darn Republicans that are making fraud difficult for the Democrats to uncover. If we would have uncovered all of this Somali fraud if it weren't for those pesky Republicans pointing it out all the time. Sure, Tim. Explaining his decision. This is again from Time not to run. The former teacher said that after speaking with his family over in his team over the festive season, he came to the realization he can't give the political campaign all that he wants and to let others worry about the election so that he can focus on work because he has work to do. How could this have happened to the guy who's been governor since 2018. How could this possibly have happened directly under his watch, having been warned several times and completely ignoring it. Now the reason that I do think that Tim Walls has decided to step aside from his gubernatorial campaign, I actually don't think is the Somali fraud might be a hot take. What I actually think it is, and maybe this is just wishful thinking. What I hope it is is that we did it. We called him retarded enough to make him cry and quit again. I'm not entirely sure that that's, possibly that's, that's, that's exactly the case, but I like to think that it is. I would like to think that me, you, those Minnesotans that waited hours in a line in a block around Tim Walls house yelling retarded constantly, incessantly at his place of residence actually moved the needle. Yeah, sure, the billions of dollars in fraud probably pushed him. You know, maybe it pushed him over the edge of want, not wanting to run anymore. Maybe, maybe it was that. But I'd like to think that it was our mean language against the retarded governor of Minnesota that forced him to pull the plug on his already losing campaign. We did it. Maybe. Coming up, we got our mailbag segment. Got a lot of maduro comments from, from Facebook specifically, if you're not subscribed to any of the Turning Point Tonight YouTube channel, just type in Jobo B pretty much anywhere you'll be able to find us all over the social media in the Internet universe. Also TPTPC if you'd like to send along your emails. What do you think was the final straw? The, the, the straw that broke the camel, camel's back, the catalyst that led Tim Walls to suspend his gubernatorial campaign. Was it the fraud or was it like I choose to believe, incessantly calling him retarded. Your thoughts? TPTP USA.com we'll be right back after the break with your mailbag as well. As a really interesting point, very, very simple question, but some discussion about the oath of. Let me get the wording right here. The oath of allegiance. But we'll get the word. We'll do the entirety of the wording when we come back. We'll be right back after the break. Don't go away.
G
It's interesting. It was almost a near term death experience for me and you know, of course not literally, but I did feel a little bit like Tom Sawyer and Huck Finn watching their own funeral. All this stuff happened and to be here and to see that people reacted to it in a Not just a positive way, but in almost a desperate way. We're like, oh, boy. When they come after the comedians, this is when we draw the line. And, you know, we're very grateful that they threw the line at us.
A
So the Critics Choice Awards were over the weekend. That is Jimmy Kamel, also known as Kimmel, giving us some press action there. What I think is interesting about this, now, obviously you can be horrified and disgusted by what he said. A near death experience. Oh, no. His show was suspended because he said some unforgivable nonsense about our friend. By the way, that was a near death experience. Yeah, you can be mad about that. I'm mad about that. But I think the real kind of thing here is his attitude and the way that he cares. I think he actually believes this, which is scarier, but also maybe a little bit more comforting because I don't think there are a lot of people that actually believe that sort of thing. I think there are a lot of people that are just putting on an act. How could they be canceling the comedians? Well, one, they're not. Nobody is. If, if we had that power, believe me, we'd exercise it because there's a lot of unfunny lib comedians that should be canceled. Uh, but unfortunately, we don't wield the power that Jimmy Kimmel thinks we actually do. Uh, and that is, that's, that's sad. But I think the main point here is the fact that I think this guy actually thinks that he is this emblematic figure that represents free, freedom, and by extension, prosperity. And the. No, dude, you. You were an unfunny guy who I. Honestly, I. I've said this a number of times. I used to love Jimmy Kimmel. I liked. I just like the way that his humor kind of pieces together. But for him to actually think that he is kind of the breaking point of really American society and therefore democracy. It's honestly kind of sad. Like, it'd be one thing if he was just kind of bloviating. They're trying to can and trying to, you know, increase his ratings, but just by the way he sounded, I actually think he believes it, which in a way kind of makes me feel bad for him, which, I don't know, maybe that's an uncharitable take on this, but I don't know. Good luck, dude. Geez. Let's see. Let's get some of the mailbag in here. On the topic of Maduro, Alexander says homeboy thought he was talking to Biden. That's accurate. Jonathan says you Forget who you're dealing with. Kind of in the same lines. Aurora says dude was in pajamas and couldn't make it to his stateroom. State safe room. It's like a Hollywood movie come to life. This is actually crazy. I agree. And Richard says three hours took the US three hours to capture the leader. I'd like to actually issue a correction. Not even two hours, not even an hour and a half. Honestly they're, they're like we said. I think producer Glenn pointed out there are feature length movies that are shorter than the arrest of Nicholas Maduro. So his flight to New York City was probably longer than the US was in Venezuela. Making sure that extraction was. Was completed. Um, let's see. Yeah, we got time for this. I talked about the oath of. Of allegiance. Should I read this whole thing? Fawn commented here and I thought this was actually pretty interesting. Especially in the context of the Minnesota fraud. A bunch of Somali stealing billions of dollars from the United States taxpayer. Talking about the Oath of Allegiance. What does it take to be a U.S. citizen and naturalized citizens? You have to say obviously the Oath of Allegiance, but what does that actually say? And the terminology is much more clarifying and also harsh that I, in a good way that I guess I thought I knew the Oath of Allegiance was a thing. I was not specifically aware of the actual terminology. Let me just read this. I hereby declare on oath that I absolutely and entirely renounce and abjure all allegiance and fidelity to any foreign prince, potentate, state or sovereignty of whom or which I have heretofore been subject or a citizen. That I will support and defend the Constitution and laws of the United States of America against all enemies, foreign and domestic. We don't have to read the entire thing that you get the point. Fair. But basically it says I will renounce all allegiance to anybody, anything, any person, any government, any state that is not the United States of America. And the question is that all of those Somalis in Minnesota who got naturalized citizens citizenship after being refugees from the third world hellhole that is Somalia really take that oath seriously? And if not, what are the punishments for it? Probably could be kicked out of the United States. Probably. Probably could be denaturalized. Probably could be sent back to Somalia or wherever. I don't care. Probably. I thought that was interesting to point out. Fun. What happened to the Oath of Allegiance? Well, apparently it's not being as oathed as. I don't know if oath is a word. We're getting late in the show. So that's, that's that the oath of allegiance should be a thing, should be taken seriously. That is going to do it for us here at Turning Point tonight. We appreciate you sticking around, tuning in. We'll see you tomorrow, same time, same place. God bless America. This is an iHeart podcast. Guaranteed Human.
Podcast: Real America’s Voice
Host: Joe Bob
Network: iHeartPodcasts
Episode Date: January 6, 2026
This episode centers on the dramatic U.S. operation leading to the capture of Venezuelan president Nicolas Maduro, now facing drug trafficking charges in New York. Joe Bob analyzes the operation itself, the implications for U.S. foreign policy in the Western Hemisphere (particularly through an "America First" lens), and the heated political fallout on both sides of the aisle. Further discussion covers the new socialist mayor of New York City, Ma' am Danny, criticisms of property collectivization, Minnesota Governor Tim Walz's sudden withdrawal from reelection, and various listener reactions in the mailbag.
“America first means making sure that foreign adversaries all around the world don’t get a foothold in a very, very close proximity country to the United States."
— Joe Bob (04:59)
"Last night, on the order of the President of the United States...the United States military conducted an apprehension mission in Caracas, Venezuela, to bring to justice two indicted persons, Nicholas and Cecilia Maduro...this operation...was the culmination of, of months of planning and rehearsal. An operation that, frankly, only the United States military could undertake."
– (07:19–07:53)
“An operation, quite frankly, that only the United States could undertake. They were on the ground there for 88 minutes...All of the moving pieces on this incredibly, incredibly sophisticated operation went just as planned. And that is a good thing.”
— Joe Bob (07:53-09:19)
Discusses the administration’s choice not to brief Congress prior to the operation, citing leak risks.
Responds to left-leaning critics (Kamala Harris, media figures) who question the legal basis or wisdom of the operation.
“So drugs coming into the United States, having massive drug deaths among Americans...that’s not an imminent threat. Maduro inviting the Chinese and the Russians…that’s not an imminent threat." (14:23)
“The legal authority is we have bigger guns than you. That's, that's the legal. That's, that's the authority. That's where the authority comes from in this particular situation. We're better than you.”
— Joe Bob (21:00)
Marco Rubio’s Role:
"We will replace the frigidity of rugged individualism with the warmth of collectivism."
— Mayor Ma’ am Danny (29:12)
“We’re going to...transition to treating [housing] as a collective good and towards a model of shared equity…families...are going to have a different relationship to property.”
— NYC Tenant Czar (31:40)
"If somebody takes personal ownership of something, they tend to make it better...what we should do is have people build stuff for other people who won’t build stuff…How do you think that system is going to work out?"
— Joe Bob (32:19)
"There are libs everywhere saying, hey, this. This isn't going to work." (35:39)
"What I actually think it is, and maybe this is just wishful thinking. What I hope it is is that we did it. We called him retarded enough to make him cry and quit." (41:07)
“But basically it says I will renounce all allegiance to anybody, anything, any person, any government, any state that is not the United States of America. And the question is that all of those Somalis in Minnesota who got naturalized citizens citizenship…really take that oath seriously? And if not, what are the punishments for it?” — Joe Bob (44:41)
"They built a replica of his whole hideaway place so that they could practice...They turned all the lights off in Caracas, which is crazy and also somewhat worrisome." (08:19)
“It doesn’t entirely mean being totally isolationist. It doesn't entirely mean that we can't go do things...that may be outside the geographic homeland.” (05:53)
"'What is the legal authority for the United States to be running Venezuela?' ...the legal authority is we have bigger guns than you." (21:00)
"El Presidente Rubio de Venezuela. Not entirely sure if my accents are quite on point there, but..." (22:22) “That'd be good for New Yorkers. That'd be good for the country.” (28:20)
"Oh, you mean the thing that made America great. And we're going to embrace the warmth of collectivism. Oh, you mean the thing that killed 100 million people over the last century?" (29:06)
"I think the real kind of thing here is his attitude and the way that he cares. I think he actually believes this, which is scarier, but also maybe a little bit more comforting because I don't think there are a lot of people that actually believe that sort of thing.” (44:29)
