This is an I Heart podcast. Guaranteed human. I need to be healthy every day to survive it and go through the next chemo round and the next chemo round. So it's important that work was part of that to keep my mind busy for eight, nine hours and then I had to go back and face the reality. I had a goal and the goal is to survive.

Visit rkbeverages.com On Friday, Jesse Jackson's funeral was held and the one request that his family made was completely ignored by all of the lefty lib heroes. Also, a terrorist attack in New York City. And not that any of this is funny, but it is interesting that elected officials won. The Mayor of New York City literally did the Norm MacDonald joke. If you don't know what that means, we will explain. Also, what do Americans think about what the President is doing? The numbers actually may shock you some fairly high approval ratings. So much of that is coming up in the show lot to get to today. My name is Joe Bob. Thanks so much for tuning in. The show starts right now. There was just one thing that the family of Jesse Jackson asked of those who were speaking at his funeral, which happened on Friday. Asked of those speakers and they didn't do any of it. But such as libs, when it comes to following instructions, tptpc.com is the email address. If you'd like to send along your thoughts, comments, concerns, even criticisms, all of those things are welcome@tptpsa.com what I've noticed in the emails. We're getting a lot more like video submissions. Submissions necessarily things to watch and fun stuff. If they're short clips, we actually probably will watch them. There's a lot of clips that we play on this show, so feel free, have at it. Send us stuff that you think we should either be paying attention to or you'd like to get a laugh because that's, it's fun and I appreciate those of you who do that. Tbt@tpsa.com is that email. Remember, if your email is gross, disgusting, vile and bigoted, which there are some in the email today that meet that threshold, we will probably read them on the show. Including, including a very funny joke that I think, I think you'll like. I don't approve of obviously, because I, you know, some of these things are not joking matters, but I do think you would at home would like that. TPTP USA.com the Reverend Jesse Jackson passed away late last month and his funeral was held this Friday. Now, as is a lot of these types of funerals of civil rights leaders such as Jesse Jackson, there was a huge turnout from a bunch of the lib elite, which included three different presidents and a lady who wasn't the president and really, really, really wanted to be. But President Biden, President Obama, President Clinton all spoke at the memorial service for Jesse Jackson. Now here was the thing that was fascinating to me. This is a funeral service. It's a memorial service. And whether or not you liked the guy, I have some strong opinions. You know, you should probably do what the family asks. So what is it that the family was asking at the funeral for their father? Well, this is Jesse Jackson Jr. Prior to the big national memorial, which by the way, there was a bunch of different, I guess, memorial services at different types of places. This is what he was talking to on that front, but also was clearly speaking to the broader, bigger televised national funeral that was held in his father's honor in which several presidents came to and they all ignored the one thing that he asked. Well, what did he ask? Watch this.
Jesse Jackson Jr.
Cut six Funerals were not for the dearly departed. He believed funerals were for the living. He believed that they were great gathering meetings and no two life or lives in human history will have the same number of people attending their funerals or the same people will be at their funerals. Because your friends ain't my friends. My friends ain't your friends. We don't know the same people. You don't know the same people that I know. Do not bring your politics out of respect to Reverend Jesse Jackson and the life that he lived, to these homegoing services come respectful and come to say thank you. But these homegoing services are welcome to all Democrat, Republican, liberal and conservative.
Joe Bob
Now, obviously making the case there, hey, this is not about politics. This is my dad. He's speaking. We don't want to talk about that. We just want to talk about his life, the life that he lived. And, yeah, may there be some intertwining in the public sector or the civil sector that he participated in greatly. Yes, but overall, actually, it's a pretty good point that he's making. Look, not everybody goes to everybody else's funerals. There are people that are going to be at this funeral that don't really know the political angle because not everything in life is about politics all the time. And so it's actually a really interesting point and a very, in my opinion, good ask. Hey, leave the politics at the door. Now, did anybody follow instructions? Well, I don't know. Let's take a look. First up with, again, reminding everyone that the only ask from the family was don't bring your politics into this. Didn't really get off to a great start because we're going to play a clip from Reverend Al Sharpton, who is a race hustler and says things that are crazy a lot of the time. Did he have the ability to leave his politics at the door? You decide. Cut seven.
Hakeem Jeffries
But people at the same time, or killing illegal immigrants. People at the same time, cutting public funding at the same time. Sit up here talking about, oh, they got all the power. We can't win. We gotta win. Because they put the seeds of victory in us if we just nurture them and grow. Hakeem Jeffries, be the speaker of the House. If we keep on winning, we'll get the Senate back. If we keep winning, we can save health care for our grandmamas. If we keep winning, we can bring about criminal justice reform. If we keep winning, we can have two Jackson boys in the Congress. We didn't come this far to turn around now.
Joe Bob
Okay, so now obviously it's Al Sharpton. He's. He's not super bright and he's very bad at following instructions, but he immediately gets into not only like, hey, this political direction or, or this political position, it gets so granular. He says, hakeem Jeffries, you need to be the speaker of the House. Jesus, dude, the family has one thing, one thing, don't bring your politics to this funeral. And again, to Jesse Jackson Junior's point, and I would Imagine I disagree with him a lot on things politically. He said, this is for conservatives, liberals, everybody on the political spectrum alike. Just, this is not a place to talk politics. Now, to be fair, nobody had any high expectations for Al Sharpton. Again, not a very bright guy and a race hustler who takes every opportunity to pound his point of view, politically speaking, that he can. Okay, so what about getting higher up the chart here a little bit? What did President Barack Obama have to say at Jesse Jackson's funeral? Again, remembering that politics. Setting all of this aside, there's actually some really good things that we can take out of why I think Obama failed, which I guess, spoiler alert, he didn't exactly do what he was asked. Interesting, interesting thing, interesting discussion to have after this. But watch this. Obama at Al Sharpton's funeral. Cut 8.
Hakeem Jeffries
In a time when it can be hard to hope. Each day we wake up to some new assault on our democratic institutions. Another setback to the idea of the rule of law, an offense to common decency. Every day you wake up to each day we're told by those in high office to fear each other and to turn on each other and that some Americans count more than others and that some don't even count at all. Everywhere we see greed and bigotry being celebrated and bullying and mockery masquerading as strength. We see science and expertise denigrated, while ignorance and dishonesty and cruelty and corruption are reaping untold rewards.
Joe Bob
First things first, and we'll go through this most sorry, least important to most important and actually pretty interesting. First things first is you notice he threw on the little, little accent there. Little kind of, kind of appealing to the crowd that he was speaking to. Kind of a thing that one. At that level, don't you think you would notice that? You do that yourself. Like I understand when Jasmine Crockett, you know, is getting axed questions by different people, she might want to throw a little bit of a spin on how she talks. But at Obama's level, don't you think he would notice that he was doing that very odd. Second thing that I think is fascinating here is the idea that, well, now Americans are divided and they're divided because the White House and the current political situation, if you remember, race relations got worse under President Obama because he was, in fact, the divider in chief. This is the classic example of accuse your enemies of that which you are doing. President Obama was the one who instigated a lot of the racial tension that that is currently going on in the Country. Now, to say it's not going on would be silly, but a lot of it comes from President Obama, Obama's Justice Department. By the way, this, this out of the all of the different things that happened in Obama's tenure, the Michael Brown shooting, I think, was one of the biggest ones. Where Obama came out and said this is, you know, really stoked race relations here. And then a couple months later, his own Justice Department say, yeah, the whole hands of shoot, don't shoot thing didn't ever happen. Right. We've talked about that on the show a number of times before. Hilarious. Again, accuse your enemy of that which you are doing and did yourself. Now, the last point, which I think is the most interesting here, is the question of why is Obama taking political stances at a funeral to begin with? Generally speaking, historically speaking, especially in modern political history, once you leave the White House, you don't really comment on much going on. We saw that from President H.W. bush, Clinton, W. Bush. Obama's kind of the first president with no other political aspirations. Right. He's not going to run for Congress or the Senate. I don't think he's going to try to get appointed the Supreme Court to go back into politics. And what's even weirder is he took a really, really long gap between exiting the White House and kind of coming back into the political realm. If you follow Barack Obama on social media, which I do, you started to notice I've followed him for years. Nothing big that he's talking about. Yeah, he'll go stump during, you know, midterms or presidential elections, but he's not really like that involved all of a sudden in the last couple months has gotten very politically involved. So, so the question is why? And the only reason, the only conclusion that I think I can come to is I think he might think that there is dirt on him. And unlike past administrations who are just like, ah, let bygones be bygones, the Trump administration, for many reasons, one justice to the fact that they tried to put him in jail for a thousand years, might actually say, hey, let's take a look at some of the things the Obama administration did and let's see if maybe, possibly there's some dirt there which would incentivize Obama to get out there and get very active politically, as he probably still is the most popular lib on the lib side of the aisle. Maybe that's the reason why he's now coming back into the public limelight and, and trying to engineer elections to go his way because he's very afraid that somebody might find out something about him. Anyways, back to the point at hand of whether or not the presidents or the politicians that spoke at Jesse Jackson's memorial service followed any followed the one guideline that the family themselves gave. We're kind of past the substantive part of this now. This is just humor for the sake of being humor. This is President Biden talking about politics, but in politics, in regarding his own stutter. Because remember, that was the reason anytime Joe Biden slipped up, it was because of his stutter. It wasn't because he was a mentally declining. I'm not going to use the word that came into my head. He was in mental decline, cognitive decline. Everybody could see it. But that wasn't the reason. It was because of his stutter. He used Jesse Jackson's funeral to defend that political sling and arrow. What is this? Cut nine? I told you all earlier, when I
Hakeem Jeffries
was a kid, I had a cleft
Joe Bob
palate or club foot. None of you would have laughed, but it's okay to laugh is stuttering. I'm not being critical of you, but think about it. It's the one place where people think you're stupid.
Hakeem Jeffries
Oh, really?
Joe Bob
I'm a hell of a lot smarter than most of you. What? Honest to God. Seriously, what? First of all, the venue is a little strange. Former Mr. President, you've been out of office for a while now and that was a political jab being thrown at you two or three years ago. Now, okay, one, you decide you need to defend it. Two, you decide to defend it at the funeral of a civil rights activist. Of all the places, dude. Kind of odd. And lastly, I don't know why this is a recurring theme of white presidential candidates, presidents, libs getting up in front of black audiences saying, I'm. You're dumb. Now, obviously, Gavin Newsom did it by saying, I'm just as dumb as you. I can't even read. And now President Biden is saying it. I'm a heck of a lot smarter than you.
Hakeem Jeffries
That
Joe Bob
I don't know. The clear and abundant racism on the glib side of the aisle is astonishing to me in so many ways. Now, of course, nobody followed the family guidelines and you wonder, well, is anybody going to say anything about it? Well, the guy that we visited previously in today's episode, Jesse Jackson Jr. The next day was speaking, I believe, at another church in which he called out all of the presidents, Biden, Obama, also Clinton included. But Clinton, we don't have time to play all of his clips. Called them all out and said, well, he said, this is cut 10.
Jesse Jackson Jr.
Yesterday, I listened for several hours of three United States presidents. He maintained a tense relationship
Joe Bob
with the
Jesse Jackson Jr.
political order, not because the presidents were white or black, but the demands of our message demanded not Democratic or Republican solutions, but demanded a consistent, prophetic voice that at no point in time ever sold us out as a people.
Joe Bob
Now, there's several things going on here. First of which is the thing we've been talking about. He said, I watched three presidents who did not know him in a way, in an intimate way, like, you know, his son obviously would get up there and talk politics, basically slamming all of those presidents, saying, what? What did we talk about prior to this? Why are you using my dad's funeral to talk politics and make your own case for whatever political policy position that you're actually out in front of nowadays? Why? Why are we doing this? And then, obviously, the difference in agreements that I would have with the guy is, well, he said, you know, because Jesse Jackson never sold out black people. Which, you know, again, I don't look at the world that way. I don't think that that's how anybody should look at the world through the lens of race. But also, if you're going to. What he's effectively saying is all of those presidents that used his dad's funeral to get up there and talk politics did sell out black people. Again, I don't think. That's not the way that I look at the world, but if it is the way that he looks at the world, he basically slammed them again, One, saying that, yeah, you guys didn't know my dad then. Two, saying, well, you know, you sold us out. Now, just because we're on this train of Jesse Jackson and the funeral, this doesn't really have anything to do with the politics of it. This is just an honorable mention that I had to play here. I thought we were done with the phrase unburdened by what has been. If you had made bets that Kamala Harris would use that phrase yet again, you would be a very, very wealthy person. Cut 11. Understand, as has been said, the beauty that comes after the storm when we see what is possible and what can be unburdened by what has been. I assume we were done with that, but now I just had to play that for you folks, because apparently we're not. Now, here's where I'd like to wrap this all up, because you might think, well, okay, what. What does this actually have to do with, like, the politics of the day? What it is, ultimately is the fact that libs just can't help themselves. They can't help but project what they think onto everybody else and think that everybody else should just sit there and take it. Jesse Jackson Jr. Said, hey, please don't talk politics. And then all of them did, and then he slammed them for it afterward. But what's really interesting about all of this, and again, this completely separate from my opinions on Jesse Jackson as a political figure, as an activist, because I probably disagreed with that guy on 99.9% of things. What's interesting about all of this is there was a president that did also make some remarks and didn't attend the funeral, but did sound quite different to those who spoke at the funeral trying to push their own political agendas. And that president was President Trump. This is President Trump just after the death of Jesse Jackson, who, interestingly enough, had he been invited to the funeral, had he attended the funeral and been invited to speak, would have been the only person there who abided by the rules that the family had set. This is President Trump on Jesse Jackson. Cut 12.
Donald Trump
Begin by expressing our sadness at the passing of a person who I knew very well. Jesse was a piece of work, I want to tell you. He was a piece of work, but he was a good man. He was a real. He was a real hero. And I just want to pay my highest respects to Reverend Jesse Jackson. He's a good man. He was actually, as you got to know him, he got better and better all the time. A lot of. A lot of people, you get to know him, they get worse and worse. Jesse got better and better. But I knew him well long before becoming president. And he really was special, with lots of personality, grit, and street smarts. You would say Jesse had serious street smarts, right? A very important ingredient to life, I will tell you. He was gregarious and someone who truly loved people and a force of nature. He was somebody that we're going to greatly miss. And on behalf of everyone here today, I know you join me in sending our condolences to the entire family. Great family.
Joe Bob
Now, this is not to say that Trump doesn't also sometimes run his mouth a little bit and get off script and go a direction that not all of us would want him to go. But at least in this instance, unlike all of the libs that chose Jesse Jackson's funeral to push their own political message, President Trump just kind of said, hey, this is what I thought of the guy as an individual, not as political stances, not the political climate of today, but just of the guy, which honestly is probably what you want if a usual eulogy is to be given really interesting political times that we live in nowadays. It's going to be fascinating to see the trajectory of libs who just can't help themselves and how they interact with the current political climate. Got a lot to get to. We're going to hit on the NYC potentially very, very deadly terrorist attack that didn't go as planned, as well as some polling numbers that are out from some not friendly conservative news outlets that say pretty friendly things about conservatives and a whole lot more to get to on this episode. And now I invite you to scream.
Joe Bob
Well, that seems like a totally sane, well adjusted person that isn't off her rocker in any way, shape or form. But I will I can I say this, I don't. This is, this is going to be a charitable take. At least she's just sitting in a park screaming into a megaphone for some reason, surrounded by people who are also doing the same thing. Because unfortunately the modern left, there are very worse things she could be doing. So let's, let's just, how about, how about we show some. At least this is all they're doing. They're not committing violence against people or burning down buildings and cars and all that sort of stuff. At least. At the very least, they're just sitting there screaming, screaming at the sky. Lib loses their mind. In other news, the sky is blue. All right, well, hey, lots of stuff to get to especially with the. She is this, this, this could have been terrible tragedy in New York City. It's time to get to the point. Get to the point. Get to the point. All right, New information continuing to come out on the improvised explosive device that was thrown. So I'm sure you've heard a number a ton about this already. But an anti. Hey, we don't want Islam taking over. The United States of America rally was happening outside of Gracie Mansion, which is where the mayor of New York City lives. Mom. Donnie was not there, but the protest was happening and somebody, some deranged leftist Muslim terrorist would be terrorist through an improvised explosive device. Sorry, let me read the headline. That's. That's what this whole get to the Point thing is. NYPD and it's improvised explosive device ID thrown at anti Islam protest. So the protest is happening. Somebody throws what would be a very deadly explosive device. Device. Thank God it doesn't detonate. And that person is now being tied to isis. There's two people being tied to isis. Two suspects, I'm not going to say their name, were arrested on the scene, remain in custody after the device was confirmed by the NYPD bomb squad to be a functioning IED capable of causing serious injury in injury or death. It was ignited and a second device is under analysis. The alleged terrorist attackers reportedly yelled out the Akbar before throwing the id. Id. Um, yeah. There's so much to be said about this. I'm sure it's been talked about over and over again on all of the outlets already. So I think the one thing that I'd like to point out is the fact that the mayor of New York City, instead of condemning the radical Islamic would be terrorists, he did the Norm MacDonald joke. If you don't know what the Norm MacDonald joke is, I will explain it after we watch this clip from the mayor of NYC cut 13. On Saturday, a protest was held outside Gracie Mansion where I live with my wife Rama. Neither of us were home at the time. This was a vile protest rooted in white supremacy entitled Stop the Islamic takeover of New York City. I'm the first Muslim mayor of our city. Anti Muslim bigotry is nothing new to me. Nor is it anything new for the 1 million or so Muslim New Yorkers who know this city as our home. Yes, that is the problem. The problem is not the person who people who threw the bomb into the protest, it's the protest itself. Yeah, because free speech is totally a ubiquitous thing among all Muslim countries. Now, the Norm MacDonald joke, if you haven't heard it and We've played it enough on this show. I don't play it again. He basically sets up a punchline, which isn't really a punchline. It's just a very uncomfortable truth. He says, well, you know, if an Islamic radical extremist comes in and with a dirty bomb and kills 10 million people, that would be terrible because the backlash against the Muslim community would be astronomical. And the guest says, yeah, that's. Yeah, that's. That would be the problem. You know, not the dead Americans. That's not the problem. It would be the backlash. Oh, no. And he made the joke. And unfortunately, libs continue to make the joke themselves without knowing that they're making the joke. Joke. To condemn the protest that was attacked by a deadly bomb, according to nypd, is crazy. That's just crazy. Now, obviously, nobody wants anybody to get hurt, but holy cow, can you imagine if those roles were reversed? If you had a protest of, let's say, free Palestine on college campuses where they took over entire quadrants of universities, and then somebody threw a bomb into that protest. Who's. Who do you think the headline would be about? You think it would be about. Yeah, well, those protesters shouldn't have taken over the quad. It would be about the violent person, and it should be about the violent person if the roles were reversed. But in this case, when unfortunately, ironically, the point that the protesters were making seems to have been proven by an Islamic extremist doing what Islamic extremists do at a protest against Islamic extremism, I It. The irony is almost too much to handle here. And that's what the mayor of NYC said. Holy cow. We're running way behind that. We got a lot of thoughts. Get to the point, Joe. Bob. All right. This from the New York Post poll finds libs viewed less favorably than conservatives. And of ice, of all people, and only Iran does worse. So. Wow, that's a fascinating. And also really interesting an NBC poll of a hundred registered voters conducted February 27 through March 3, which is right in the middle of the strikes. Strikes happened on Saturday the 28th. So encompassed in this is the strikes revealed that libs have the lowest net favorability rating among major U.S. political entities. Uh, which is crazy if you think about it. 52% negative, only 30% positive. Conservatives on the other side have 50 or, sorry, 51% negative. So not a huge margin. And 37% positive. President Trump 30, 53% negative. 41% positive. Which a 41% approval rating is actually pretty good, especially for, you know, this point in time in his presidency ICE only is 38% positive. But overall, the entirety of that, you know who has a less favorable percentage rating is Iran. The US Is attacking. So among libs. Okay, cool. That's all there's to say about that. So let's just keep moving on, get to the next point here. This point from cnn, January six commemorative plaque appears in Capitol after years of delay. This is kind of interesting just in the. I don't know, I guess the way things move throughout the legislative branch and enforcing any of the laws. Uh, there was a law, law passed in 2003 saying, hey, we need a plaque here. I don't really read too much into this. There are plaques everywhere, honestly, talking about a lot of different things. Um, and, well, they. They got their plaque or they voted for a plaque and for some reason wasn't put in when they voted for it for whatever reason. Uh, Speaker Johnson said that said at one point, this is not implementable, which prompted lawsuits and is back and forth. Basically, there's a plaque now. Libs are like, hooray, a plaque. I'm like, all right, fine, okay, whatever. Not getting into the specifics of it, but there, there now is a plaque. Congrats, I guess. Uh, let's see. From Newsmax. I believe Trump admin pushes new federal hiring for tape, tech and health roles. This is really interesting because we make a lot of cases about the federal government cutting jobs, which they should. But the outcome here is that currently the number set at cut federal jobs for The Trump administration's second time around, 387,000 jobs cut against 123,000 jobs hired during the Trump administration in his first year back, which is obviously much leaner. Bureaucratically aligned system, obviously those aligned with the president's priorities. Now, the key components of that is the tech force program, which is kind of necessary. Look, I want the government to get slashed in half just as much. I'm sure you do half more than that. At the same time, the government still has a function and a role to do. And if China and all of our other adversaries are putting a ton of money into tech and resources, into cyber warfare effectively, and we should be doing the same thing. That is not like, hey, big government. That is the government should do some things because it is tasked with doing certain things. All of the waste, let's go ahead and cut that. But that doesn't mean you cut everything. I think is the main point of this. This headline here. Last but not least. Actually, maybe it is the least. I have no idea. That's Definitely not the -Least. This from CNBC. Trump vows legislative blockade until the SAVE act voter ID bill is passed. I mean, that pretty much just sums it up. The SAVE act requiring ID to vote, which is a thoroughly reasonable thing that an overwhelming majority of Americans on both sides of the political spectrum agree on, needs to pass. President Trump says this is a priority. We're going to go ahead and blockade all of the other legislative stuff until this passes because the fact that it's not law is crazy. So there's that. Hey, got to a lot of points there. Coming up next, official business tbt tbusa.com is the email address. Don't go away. We'll be right back after the break.

People should have to do land acknowledgements for more recent history. Like, I think that if you're a rich liberal who lives in Brooklyn. Yeah, oh, gosh. You should have to do a land acknowledgement when you have people over. We hereby acknowledge that this beautiful two bedroom in Bed Stuy originally belonged to a Dominican single mother and her two children. And we thank her for not being able to work enough jobs as our parents. Cheers. There you go. And if you're not laughing at that, I think I know where you live. That's great. Yeah, I wish all the libs would abide by the standards that they set for other people. You need to do a land acknowledgement because this land is stolen from the Native Americans. Yeah, well, you're super rich. Parents who allowed you to be progressive forced people out of this apartment. And maybe you should do it there. That's funny us, but funny. All right. You know, when anybody in elected officials office or any bureaucrat of any kind says anything, it becomes what we know as what we come to know here as a father. Official business. First up in official business, we have the very, very silly, very, very dumb Senator Maisie Harrano of Hawaii talking about the SAVE act, you know, that thoroughly reasonable piece of legislation that says, hey, everybody should be able to prove that they're eligible to vote in this country. Well, the hills that libs choose to Die on. Always fascinate me. And this is just another one of those. Example. Here is the official business of Senator Mazie Hirano of Hawaii against the thoroughly reasonable thing that everybody agrees on. Cut 14. This is not about voter ID. Oh, stop that. That's like a total bull description of the SAVE Act. Let me just focus on one part of the SAVE Act. In order to register to vote, you're going to have to show different pieces of documents. So if you're, let's say a woman who got married changed your last name, and if your last name doesn't match the name on your birth certificate, you're not going to be able to register to vote. That I call stealing our votes and that I call a lie. I mean, it's just factually not true. I just. There, there's, you know, the First Amendment is obviously sacred and needs to be held up to the highest standard. And, and also at the same time, and maybe there should be some limits, like maybe Macy Hirana shouldn't be able to say words. I don't know. I don't actually think that there's no way to enforce that. And it doesn't square with the Constitution. But also you shouldn't just be able to tell people fact. I shouldn't be able to look at you through this camera and say, I am speaking to you through a potato. That's. That's effectively what you say. All right, uh, let's see. Let's get on to official business. And this is official business because this guy is one of the top parties nominees to be a senator in the state of Texas. We're gonna be hitting this guy a lot, probably one because he's so punchable, rhetorically speaking. But this is. He's also a. In the Texas legislature. So this is Jaime Talarico, I think is how we described how we're supposed to pronounce his name. Discussing who is more christ like cut 15.
Jaime Talarico
I have met so many Hindus, Buddhists, Sikh Jews, Muslims, atheists, agnostics who are more Christlike than some of the Christians I serve with in the Texas legislature. It is about how you treat other people. Matthew 25 is people who haven't read their Bible. You're not thinking of Ken Paxton.
CNN Commentator
He's attorney General.
Jaime Talarico
Well, you know, he follows the. The Ten Commandments rather than the Ten Commandments. But, you know, Matthew 25 tells us exactly how we're going to be judged and how we're going to be saved by feeding the hungry, by healing the sick, by welcoming the stranger, which is more timely now than it's ever been before. There's Nothing in Matthew 25 about reading your Bible. There's nothing about going to church. There's nothing about being a good Christian. It is all about how you treat other people. And so I've met a lot of people from different faith traditions, people who aren't religious at all, who embody that teaching better than some of the really loud Christians that we have in public office.
Joe Bob
There's a lot going on here. First of all, you can kind of just from all of the debunking that has already been done of this guy, you can come to the conclusion pretty readily that he's not saying things that are accurate. He, he, he quotes a Bible that nobody has ever read. A lot of the times. Well, you know, in Luke, he says that God asked for consent before Mary was given the savior of the world. Just not factually true, dude. Okay, fine. Now, I mean, not really even giving grace. There are, in my opinion, the. The right needs more conservatives in a lot of different ways. Um, the problem is the, the examples that he gives are not exactly great. Like, oh, yeah, that, that this is. Let me whittle it down to this. Good luck with this progressive, fake, heretical Christianity in the state of Texas. I. I'll say that again. Good freaking luck. Uh, do we have time for more official business? Uh, yeah, we do. Let's. Let's play one more. This is the. If the libs take back the House, this will be the speaker of the House on Hakeem Jeffries cut 16.
Hakeem Jeffries
We are in a DHS shutdown right now because Republicans have refused to agree to the type of bold, transformative, meaningful and dramatic reforms we are demanding in order for the Department of Homeland Security funding bill to move forward. And I won't go through all of the demands, much of which we've talked about repeatedly in the public. But one of those demands is keep ICE out of sensitive locations. We've defined that as schools, houses of worship, hospitals, and polling sites. We want an explicit prohibition that ICE can go nowhere near any polling sites in the United States of America. It's one of our demands. We're not going to bend on it now.
Joe Bob
He says, I'm not going to go through the whole list of demands. That's because most conservatives agreed with those. Like the whole body cam things. Yeah, that's fine. Let's do it. And then he says, okay, well, yeah, the one of those, though, is that they can't go into polling places. And why would that be? I just I'm curious, why would that be the case, Congressman Jeffries?
Hakeem Jeffries
That.
Joe Bob
Because illegals aren't at polling places because they don't vote. Right. All right, anyways, that is official business. Let's see, coming up next. Got some MAGA Monday on it today. It is Monday. We'll be right back after the break. Tptpsa.com don't go away.
Hakeem Jeffries
Oh, man.
Joe Bob
Dude, I remember growing up, dude, my abuela was such a good cook, dude.
Hakeem Jeffries
She lived down in Mexico, like around Tijuana.
Joe Bob
So we would go there, man, she
Hakeem Jeffries
made this carne asada that was so good, dude.
Joe Bob
Her. Her enchiladas were insane.
Hakeem Jeffries
Every morning for breakfast, she would make us huevos. You know what I mean? And then obviously, we get the party started.
Joe Bob
We get some. You know, I mean, it was awesome. This is one of the things that I'm, I, I've been talking about this for now, years. Do you say the things with the accent of the people that say those things? Like, if I go to a Mexican restaurant, do I say tacos or do I say, like an American I am on the side of. Actually, I don't know where I fall on this, but obviously this guy's making fun. A very good point by this young man. TBT tbsa.com if you have any thoughts about this. All right, it is time for MAGA Monday. We don't have a very slick zinger as of yet, but I do want to go back and play a clip that would have been an official business had we had time, but it also fits in fantastically with MAGA Monday. This is. Is not in English, but this is the Iran Supreme National Security Council Secretary Ali. It doesn't matter what his last name is. I'm gonna play you just a very, very, very brief clip of this. Again, it is not in English, but I will condense down what it is that he's saying after this cut. 17. Basically said, we are prepared to fight for the next 10 years and President Trump is going to feel our wrath. Which is like somewhat like my toddler who when told that she can't have another pouch, saying, I you not see the end of me. You. You will have. I. I will not let this stand. I don't know why my toddler now has a fate Middle Eastern accent in this scenario, but sure, buddy.
Hakeem Jeffries
Good.
Joe Bob
Good luck with that, dude. All right, that's. That's that. All right, get to some polling here on MAGA Monday. This is actually pretty interesting. This is from CNN talking about some of the poll numbers coming out with the president in his current time, in his second administration as cut 18.
CNN Commentator
Republicans love Donald Trump more than any president's own party supporters loved him at this particular point. Just take a look here. Okay. Own Party supporters, 21st century President's Own party approval about at this point in the second term. Bush was at 77%. Obama was at 77%. Look at this. 86% of Republicans approve of the job that Donald Trump is doing at this point. That is higher than either Obama or Bush had within their own party at this point. Trump's magic touch has not seemed to wore off yet when it comes to the Republican base.
Joe Bob
And what kind of approval are we talking about here?
CNN Commentator
Okay, so we're talking about overall approval here. How about the strongly approved? The strongly approved. Not just like, but love. Love. Okay, we're going to look at these same presidents again. Strongly strong approval among your own party's base. What you see is Trump is the only one who gets a majority at this point in their presidency. Obama was at 48%. Bush was at 47%. You see her Trump at 53%. Not as high as overall approval rating, but still getting a majority of the Republican base, at least in the average of polls. To say that they still really, really, really like him.
Joe Bob
Okay, I mean, that whole clip kind of speaks for itself. The only thing that I have fun imagining is those lib writers in the CNN room just hating every single second of that. Wait a minute. You mean people don't believe all the lies we're telling about him? That's terrible. Fun, fun and good times. We will get to our mailbag segment coming up after the break. Tptpusa.com if you'd like the chance of being included, go ahead and send an email wherever it is that you happen to be watching this or leave a comment wherever it has you happen to be watching this. TBT tv.com we'll be right back after the break. Don't go away.
Hakeem Jeffries
Yeah, I can do it.
Donald Trump
Sing it like.
Hakeem Jeffries
It again.
Jaime Talarico
What does it mean?
Hakeem Jeffries
It means look, there's a lion. Oh, my God. You're joking.
Joe Bob
That is not what that means. That is not what that means.
CNN Commentator
That's exactly what it means.
Hakeem Jeffries
It means, look, there's a lion. Oh, my God, look, there's a lion.
Joe Bob
Oh, my God, it's a lion. You know, TV shows and movies have gotten pretty good at like making sure. Like for example, like the show Silicon Valley. Like they did this whole thing, this mathematical equation that had to do with the plot, but they made sure that the math was correct. Like, I think they're better at that now. The Lion King being like, let's, let's. They wouldn't do that today is I think what I'm saying. They wouldn't take, like, all right, let's take the most obvious thing translated into Swahili or whatever, whatever language that is, and let's see if nobody will catch it. But the Internet catches all that stuff and it's hilarious. Of all the things to have them say is, look, there's a lion. Oh, my God. Hilarious. All right, let's get to Mailbag from Reed says, thanks for the honest reporting. Love your show. Keep up the good work. Thank you. Read. I. I agree. I. We're gonna try. Ramona, suggestions for Ma' am Danny's pronunciation. It is a long running quest of mine on this show to find the correct pronunciation of son Moni, which is just another iteration of me attempting to pronounce it. But Ramona's suggestion is Zo Rami. Mammy. Mammy Danny. Danny. Dammy Danny. Mammy Danny. Danny. You know, that's a. Just. That's just as good as I think I could get to. So I. Ramon, I appreciate the suggestion. I will take it into consideration and once we land on a pronunciation, I'll make that known to all of you fine folks. J suggests on the topic of me calling California the nation's poopiest state, which we have gotten emails saying that's unbecoming. To which I say, you need to lower the bar for this show.
Hakeem Jeffries
This.
Joe Bob
You. It's late at night, everybody's kind of, you know, the news of the day has passed us by. You know, maybe you're in bed watching this. Maybe you're, you know, basically, we're not taking things all that seriously. So if you think that saying the poopiest state in the nation is too low brow for this show, lower your expectations for the show. But Jay has a good suggestion. He says, hey, Joe Bob, isn't Adam Schiff from California? Yes, Senator. Smallest thinnest neck you've ever seen. Pencil neck Schiff is from California. You could call California the shiftiest state with piles of shift everywhere and it's just a shift hole. I'll be honest with you, I was pretty nervous myself reading that because I'm like, all right, what if I slip up here? But, yeah, we got to cut it out. Producer Glenn's got to censor me. But I did. I succeed. Succeeded. Yeah. It is a shift show. What's going on in the. The. The poopiest state of California, but that is a good suggestion. JAY I appreciate it. There there was another email. I'm going to keep this guy from anonymous emailing the show, reflecting on what was Black History Month. And I, and I probably can't say this, I'm sorry to do editing in real time, but you know, you know who you are, who sent that email. It's very, very funny and I appreciate it. And for the sake of staying on the air, I'm not going to Repeat it. Shelley tbt tbc.com if you have grotesque emails that you'd like to send along our way, they're the very least you'll entertain me. SHELLY Comments on the United States attack on Iran. I think it's safe to say the the Iranian regime sucks at hide and seek. Correct. They're very bad at hide and we are very good at seek. And they're not very good at seek. So there's that. TBT tbsa.com if you'd like to be included in the mailbag segment. Segment. Thanks so much for tuning in. We will see you tomorrow, same time, same place. God bless America.
