Greetings, Naturopathy. Dr. Dennis Black here, founder of Rough Greens. And if only dogs could talk, I think a lot of them would say, hey, thanks for the love, but this food, it's not working for me. The truth is, they'd be right. Because most dog food, wet or dry, is cooked at such high temperatures that every live nutrient in it is destroyed. And what you're left with is dead food bulked up with fillers and sprayed with artificial flavors. That's not what dogs need. But when you add back in the live vitamins, omega oils and antioxidants are in Rough Greens, your dog would say something different. Like, they'd say, wow, this is delicious. Or sluggish dogs might say, hey, let's go for a walk. Older dogs might say, I feel like a puppy again. It's not magic, it's biology. Don't just imagine it. See it in your dog. I'll send you a free Jumpstart trial bag for your dog. You just cover the shipping. Go to ruffgreens.com, use discount code talk. That's R U F F Greens discount code. Do it, Gavin. Do it. Gavin Newsom, governor of California, threatens something that I think we actually would all be super stoked if he actually did it. Speaking of threats, the WNBA is threatening a work stoppage. Oh, no. Said pretty much no one. And I know I'm gonna get some eye rolls here. I know I can already see the emails, but I'm going to talk about the Taylor Swift album that dropped at midnight. I think this is the beginning of Taylor Swift's journey to the right side of the political aisle. Trust me, I'm coming with receipts. We're gonna read some lyrics that are gonna make you say, ho. She actually might be a conservative after all. Or at least may get there eventually. All that more coming up on this episode of Turning Point tonight. So my name is Joe Bob. Thanks so much for tuning in. Together, we are charting the course of America's cultural comeback. This is Turning Point tonight. Gotta remind you, you can email the show anytime you want. And I, again, I recognize that we're gonna get a ton of emails. Why are you talking about Taylor Swift? But just for the record, Andrew Colvette and the team over the Charlie Kirk show also talked about the Taylor Swift album because it's. It's huge and it's a cultural thing. And if we ignore culture, what are we doing? Um, you may not like it. But go ahead and send your emails anyway. TPTP USA.com Also, if you've got some, I don't know, anything funny that you'd like to send over, we love to laugh here. TPT USA.com one of, one of the, I think the funniest things here in the political age of the day is when politicians make these threats of, I'm gonna do this. And the public goes, sweet, that sounds great. How do we get this done? Well, that happened when Governor Gavin Newsom threatens something that we all probably would agree with just to set this story up. The federal government sends way too much freaking money to schools, universities around the country. The federal government gives, that gives them way more, more money than I think we should. Because of that, the current administration, President Trump has said, hey, maybe we should have those funds be tied to some minimal amount of, hey, we're actually going to educate the kids and not just indoctrinate them into woke nonsense. Look, I get it. Schools are autonomous, they get to do their own thing. But maybe just, just a little bit of, yeah, don't turn them all into communists who hate America. Maybe they should be, I don't know, somewhat transparent with how they're doing things. So because of that, President Trump said, hey, how about we sign this, this pledge, this 10 point pledge, which I'm going to read you the 10 points here and let me know if you think that this is just so awful we can't have it. Uh, pledge point number one, equality in admissions. Meaning that, well, we're going to look at everybody's admissions equally. That seems fair. Uh, number two, marketplace of ideas and civil discourse. Another thing that be difficult to argue with. Three, non discrimination in faculty and administrative hiring. Okay, we're on to three and so far, so good for institutional neutrality. Some people took a, took a really big exemption to this. But what this is, is basically, hey, the school doesn't need to weigh in on the politics of the day. Uh, by the way, they're getting federal dollars, so they don't need to take a political position. Unless of course, in the, in this particular point, it says if the school's like being, it's in the news, sure, you go ahead and, you know, say what it is that you're doing, but I don't know, Universities don't need to endorse presidential candidates or any political things, or support terrorists in the Middle East. That's not a school, not a thing that the school needs to do. Maybe they should just remain neutral. So no, everybody is welcome that, that that seems fair and reasonable. Five, committed to student learning. God, this, this is again as extremist views here. Six, student equality. Again, pretty, pretty dang good. Seven, financial responsibility. This one was big on. Hey, don't take a ton of money from foreign interests. Harvard taking a bunch of money from the Chinese Communist Party. That's not great. And that kind of ties into number eight, which is foreign entanglements. Don't be, don't be, don't be educating all the ChiComs at our biggest best schools to go and figure out how to practice communism better in their country. That's not great. Um, nine lists out some exemptions of like religious schools. Obviously you know, you get to do your religious thing, which fair, nobody argues that. And then the 10 is actually enforcing all of these policies that are again very, very reasonable. Unless you were the greasy haired governor of California, Gavin Newsom, who said, and I, I. Let me read his actual quote. If any California university signs this radical agreement, they'll lose billions in state funding, including Cal grants, instantly. California will not bankroll schools that sell out their students, professors, researchers and surrender academic freedom. To which all of us said, sweet. Hold on, college is a scam and Gavin Newsom's gonna defund his own universities. Great. Where do we sign up? Hey, how can we convince all of these schools to sign onto this very reasonable thing? Look here, here are the things that are gonna potentially happen from this. Either the schools sign President Trump's, and this is specifically in California, sign his 10 point very reasonable education based agreement, uh, and then they lose their California money, or they don't sign that agreement and they keep Gavin Newsom happy, but they lose their federal money, which is taxpayer money from all of you folks who don't live in California. This kind of seems like a win win. It seems like a win win for everybody here. Just to give you some numbers, by the way, state schools, including the California, the University of California, in the California State University system. And obviously those are different schools, the UC Davis, ucla, UC Santa, Santa Barbara and the California State schools, which are Cal State. We don't need to go through the list of things. It's a whole system with different campuses up and down the state and California community college systems. In terms of Cal grant funds, that's grants from the students who are using taxpayer money to pay tuition. Not state money, that just goes directly to the schools. But this Cal grants alone are $2.2 billion per year. That is fiscal year 2024, 2025 in their budget. So in other words, if the Schools don't sign this agreement with the federal administration, they lose federal money. And if they do, Gavin Newsom will help us defund the communists bastions of institution higher learning that we all hate so much. This is a great new proposition from the governor of California. I agree, Gavin. Go for it 100%. Defund your own laboratories of creating communist woke Marxist crazy people. I am for it. We will all support you in that endeavor. Speaking of California, there is a big special election going on and I recognize that this doesn't necessarily have a huge impact around the country, but kind of as a, as a barometer of where the people are, I think it does. California, in the response to Texas doing the things that every state does, the whole gerrymandering thing that happened a while ago, California has instituted a special election that is going to, and I'm going to use Gavin's words here, uh, give the power back to the people. And they're gonna do that by taking the power away from the people. I, I know that might sound confusing and well, it is. California has an independent commission that sets all of the districts for Congress and it's made up of people from all over the political spectrum. Uh, it's chosen by independent third parties. And of course it's already slanted because of course it's gonna be slanted in the state of California, but it's already done by an independent Commission of, of 14 Regular Everyday Californians that decide the districts. So, so in order to give the power back to the people, Gavin is trying to take the power away from that commission and then give it to his own party has, who's a super majority in both of the legislative houses there. Um, so in that whole process, there is a special election that is happening in California and it turns out that, that the California Secretary of State sent out inaccurate voter guides to everybody in the state, because of course they did. Now the mistake is relatively small. It's on page 11. A proposed congressional district provided by the Legislative Analysis office was mislabeled as District 22 when it should be identified as District 27. That's the big mistake. Here's the thing. I am cynical enough to believe that the Secretary of State of California made this mistake on purpose. You know why? Because it got it in the news consistently across the entire state of California. I am cynical enough to think that the politicians understand that any publicity is good publicity. And they need publicity right now because the polls are underwater. Even in the liberal hellhole, the progressive nonsense state of California, voters hate the idea that Governor Newsom is going to take the power away from the people and give it to himself under the guise of giving the power back to the people again. It's ironic, it's stupid, it's crazy, but that's what's happening at this in Sacramento, in the capital, California. The polling is not in their favor, and Governor Newsom is taking a huge risk here, politically speaking, because if and when this proposition does not pass, it's going to all be blamed on him. By the way, it's going to cost the taxpayers in California $284 million. That is postage, that is printing. And any additional printing cost is going to cost millions of dollars more. So a quarter of a billion dollars Governor Newsom is going to put on the line in order to strip people from, strip people of their power under the guise of giving people more power, which, again, is stupid and crazy. But I can't really reiterate that enough. Um, and I think they made this mistake, made this mistake in order to get the media talking about it again. Now, obviously, if you're watching this show, you're probably wondering, well, why are you talking about it? Because I think people need to see the cynical nature of the politicians in the great state of California, uh, the state that I live in. So I pay a little bit more attention to that. But you should also pay attention because you don't not want your state to become the state that has lost all semblance of reality. It remains to be seen how this will actually work. I think California will ultimately reject Newsom's attempt to steal the power from the people. But I don't know, we will all find out together. Speaking of Newsom and the power of the people, one of the things that I think is the most fascinating is the loss of language and meaning in today's political discourse. Apparently, and I, I say this half jokingly, but also semi seriously, apparently libs don't know how to speak English. And I'm not just talking about the illegal ones. I'm talking about the educated ones that write columns such as the one in the A in ABC News. And actually, really, all of the news outlets ended up covering it. I first saw this in ABC's social media posts. But the NBC outlets, the CBS, all of your big mainstream outlets ended up picking this up as well. Apparently they don't know what the word banned means. I, I was shocked. I, I, I thought that that was a pretty common phrase that everybody knew, but they're writing all of these articles saying, well, let me just, let me, let Me read. This report warns of disturbing normalization of book bans in the United States. Like, oh my gosh, they're banning books. The government is taking books out of circulation. You can no longer purchase them on Amazon, you can no longer go to your local bookstore. They out and jailing anybody who passes the information of those books around. Because that's what a ban means. Well, unless of course that's not happening, which they actually say in the article. Uh, I, I just want, I'm reading this specifically so that you can understand how stupid some people are. Book bans in public schools have become a new normal in the U. S escalating since 2001 according to one advocacy group. That advocacy group obviously does not speak English. I'm not sure what language they speak, but they don't understand what the term ban means because they go on to say that 6,870 instances of books being taken out of schools. Well, newsflash folks. Not every school needs to have every book. Actually, I would challenge you to do this. Go to your local library or go to your kids school's library and see if you can find any book written by Charlie Kirk. Just, just out of curiosity, go see if you can find the MAGA doctrine or the college scam. And when you can't, because I guarantee you you won't be able to find them in public schools and public libraries. We will get to say look, they're banning our books and make the argument just as ridiculously as a bunch of the libs are. I think language is the biggest inflection point in our culture nowadays. You can say books are being banned and people. The problem is people will actually believe it. But of course that that's not happening. I would be outraged if the government themselves was taking specific, like just ordinary books out of circulation. But the main premise here is that not every school is going to have every book. Go, go look for yourself. It's just not physically possible to have every book. Not having a book not having does not mean that it is a ban by any stretch of the imagination. I do have a graphic here that I want to show you because I think this is funny and insightful. Stephen King, who is a lefty wack doodle lunatic, but also a relatively good mystery slash horror writer. I've read a couple Stephen King books. I'm not, not a, I'm not, not a fan. We don't need to get into this whole thing. But he said this. I'm now the most banned author in the United States. 87 books oh my gosh, that's horrifying to know that elementary schools don't necessarily need horror books, horror novels in their third grade reading sections. I am shocked to find this out. This is a tragedy of massive proportions. And then he says, I may I suggest you pick up one of them and see what, what all of the pissing and moaning is about. Nobody's really doing that. You're just the one doing that to yourself in your own Twitter echo chamber. But that's that, I guess. I guess we need to redefine, not redefine, reiterate the definition of things because maybe enough people, maybe more people than we think don't speak English. And that actually would be a problem in and of itself. Coming up next, we're going to talk about the wnba. I just, I can't. I love it. I. They get, they're just like a, they're like Kamala Harris, like the gift that keeps on talking. And we just get to go, great, we get to make fun of this some more. Well, they are threatening a workers strike. There might not be a WNBA next year. And I know that's going to devastate all five of you that watch. We're also going to talk. I know, I know. I'm gonna get the emails. TBT tpusa.com the Taylor Swift album, I think that she is begin the journey into conservatism and I for one am here for it, among many other things. We'll have to get to email the show anytime you want. Tptpusa.com we love seeing each and every one of your emails. We will be right back after the break. Don't go away.

Welcome back to Turning Point tonight, where together we are charting the course of America's cultural comeback through mockery of terrible ideas pushed by libs. You can email us anytime you want. TPTP USA.com we love seeing each and every one of your emails. Let us know in the emails. Do you think the WNBA should be paid the same as the NBA? Now I recognize that nobody's actually making that claim. The WNBA players are not going to make $20 million a year. That would be insane. And also the entirety of the revenue of the league. But let us know what you think. TPTP USA.com But I know this is going to come as a shock to all five of you who watch the View NBA. But there is a looming shutdown, a player lockout. If the players union does not come to terms, to an agreement and to new terms to when their October 31 deadline hits, they could stop play. Now, I kid a lot about this, but I don't actually particularly care. Actually, I'll even say this. I would love to see the WNBA thrive as a business. Now, if the business thrives, great. But also, let's not pretend that math isn't a thing. I I'll say I like watching Caitlyn Carr play. I think she has changed the league in so many ways. I loved watching Diana Tarazzi play. I liked watching Lisa Leslie play when she was at the Sparks. I relatively, you know, probably a bigger fan than all of you of the wnba. But at the same time I recognize that math, the math just ain't math. And WNBA wants a raise and is willing to stop playing in order to get that raise. And I honest to God hope that they don't do that. If you remember in 1995, the MLB that a big worker or a player strike where they stopped playing, they ended up losing a huge percentage of their viewership. And that was when baseball was hot. Now the WNBA isn't all that hot. They don't make all that much money. They're not a ton of people watching it. There are more now specifically because of Caitlin Clark, who I think got pressured into wearing that shirt. I don't of all the people making the case for this, Caitlin Clark is not necessarily at the forefront of it, but because she's in the league, people are watching more. The question is, will that stick? Especially in spite of all of the players seemingly hating the success that they are currently having, wanting to go after Caitlin Clark. It doesn't make any sense. But you know what does nowadays? Now the WNBA loses money every single year. About $25 million lost in revenue. There was a video a while ago with our friend Fleck us said oh yeah, we did the math. The WNBA wants to get paid like the NBA players. Well, they all owe $83,000 to the league because the league continues to lose money. Now I do want to play a clip here. That actually does make the best argument that is being made why the WNBA players should be paid more now. It's wrong, but it is a better argument than what has been made in the past. Well, the NBA players get paid as much. Okay, well we just want to be paid the same proportion of the NBA players. Okay, well again that, that means, well, you're going to owe $83,000. But actually this is a, this is a decent argument that is wrong and we'll tell you why. Watch this.
Monica Page
And the misconception is, is that people think that the women are just asking for more money. Right, Right. Not the case like increase our salaries to make the same amount that the NBA players are. That is not what they're asking for at all. And I do think it's important to understand that because they're smart, they understand the difference between the league and all stuff. Yeah, their league isn't making the even and loud lot of arenas. They're losing money to an, to a certain extent. However, with the wonderful model that we have in this country in the way capitalism works, you do not have to necessarily be profitable to be deserving of a, of a share in a company that is creating revenue of some nature. Right. We've already talked about this. Guys like the NFL, the NBA, all of these leagues and industry have taken decades to become profitable.
Joe Bob
And so it's still a baby league.
Monica Page
That's right. And it's not fair to compare that, you know, to where the NBA is today. Yeah, at by no means. And this is why a lot of the women have opted out to play for unrivaled to go overseas and play. That's why they try to, you know, a lot of them end up being injured because they play damn near year round wear and tear on the body in order to be able just to sustain of like a relatively mediocre level or standard level of living. I mean most rookies only make $60,000 a year.
Joe Bob
So not a good argument, but it is the best argument that I've seen anybody make. Hey, it doesn't matter if the league is not necessarily making money. Sometimes it takes a while to turn a profit. We've seen this in the business world a lot. I mean, famously, Amazon was around for what, 20 years before it turned a profit, and yet people were still making a decent amount of money there. Here is the problem with that argument, though. People are willing to pay employees of a company that is losing money every year if they believe that the company will eventually turn a profit. The question really is, do people think that the WNBA will ultimately turn a profit? And if people do think that, investors, owners, otherwise, I can almost guarantee you that they would pay the players more. You wouldn't have to have these negotiations and threaten a lockout or anything like that. They would just do it because they understand the product is on an escalating track. They think in the future the WNBA will be worth a lot of money. People will watch it. But the reason that NBA WNBA players aren't getting paid is because it would seem that any investors don't actually think that. And I just wonder, as a viewer myself, what would give them the, I don't know, insight into whether or not they think people will continue watching? Um, maybe this will give us a little bit of insight, but go ahead and play. Cut one. I'm not sure how anybody can watch that video and not have a huge amount of confidence in the fact that the league will thrive and, and continue going forward at full speed. That was one of the prominent WNBA players, Angel Reese. Again, everybody has bad days. I get it, especially in the sports world, but she missed every single layup in that video from two feet away. If you're sitting on your couch, I think you probably have a better chance of making that shot. What I'm trying to illuminate here is the best argument is, well, you know, sometimes companies take a while to turn a profit. The question is whether investors actually think it will turn a profit. Judging by some of the play that you see in the wnba. And, you know, I wish them all the success in the world if they can make it work financially. But judging by some of the play, I don't know how. Investors, team owners, advertisers, I don't know how they get. I don't know if they get all the confidence that they need in order to preemptively pay people in a league that is continuing to lose money. Is an interesting argument. It's wrong, but it Definitely is interesting. Speaking of interesting arguments, I thought this was fascinating and I wanted to bring it to you here. Senator Chuck Schumer was on the floor of the Senate and cited a New York Times poll and. Well, I'm just going to play the clip. We'll watch it. I think you'll laugh at this. I think you'll think it's funny. And we will discuss afterward. This is New York Senator Chuck Schuber. Now, I know the leader is going to show a poll that says that Democrats will be blamed for the shutdown. There are many more polls that show Republicans are blamed.
Dr. Dennis Black
The question in that poll is biased. Biased in the New York Times.
Joe Bob
But it's biased if you turn the.
Dr. Dennis Black
That's true.
Joe Bob
I don't always believe the New York Times. You can be sure of that. Neither do you. Okay. Yes, as Senator Schumer points out there, the New York Times, a rag conservative wing publication. I just, I can't stand the unabashed right wing freaking reporting at the New York Times. It's just too, it's too biased to the right. I love it. I love it. And also, you know what I love too, is all the senators laughed at him. I, it is a New York Times poll, but it's, it's biased and slanted towards the other side. I think it's no secret that the New York Times has a very specific bias and they don't shy away from it really in any way, shape or form. And Senator Schumer there kind of got, kind of got caught up in an argument that he knew was bad and dumb and the Senate called and bought it. But again, maybe, you know, maybe, maybe this is a sign that New York Times is becoming a conservative. It's the new Breitbart New York Times. That's what, that's what Senator Schumer is trying to convey there to his colleagues there in the Senate. We got a couple more videos to show you, but we'll, we'll do that after the break because I think it deserves time for the full shrift. There is, there are new, there's not new developments on the presidential side of Senor Hakim gate, which is what I'm now calling it effective effectively right now. But there are new videos making a bigger mockery of the hilarious meme trend started by the president. We will play that a little bit later on. We're also gonna check in with Monica Page, Turning Point's White House correspondent right after the break as well as I am gonna talk about Taylor Swift. Just, I know I'VE been. I know I've been teasing it for a while later on in the show, but trust me, it's worth it. It's worth hearing what I have to say about somebody who I guarantee you don't really like, but I think you could. Don't go away. We'll be right back after the break.

Welcome back to Turning Point tonight where together we are charting the course of America's cultural comeback through the exposure of terrible ideas pushed by the libs and mocking and all this. I know we're gonna condense that down eventually. Email the show anytime you want. Tptpusa.com, we love seeing each and every one of your emails. Right now. Let's check in with Turning Point's White House correspondent Monica Page there at the White House. Monica, how you doing?
Monica Page
I'm good. It's a beautiful day here at the White House. Finally, no more heat. So we're not sweating as much as we used to.
Joe Bob
I was just gonna say you seem to be in like the six weeks on opposite sides of summer where Washington, D.C. is gorgeous and then it turns into hell on earth and frozen. Also hellhole, at least as me, it's my perspective as a Californian. But what's going on at the White House today? There's, there's a lot of stuff going on around the world, but we actually talked briefly beforehand about you know what we were going to talk about and I brought up some stuff and you kind of said that people are just talking about the shutdown. Can you kind of tell us about that?
Monica Page
Yeah, I mean, you know, the main focus here at the White House as it stands is always the government shutdown. For like the past couple of days, it's all about the government shutdown. You could talk about other news and of course there was a press briefing this afternoon talking about some other news of the day. But the main takeaway, the main highlight, the main mood on the ground. Among other reporters here, they're all talking about the government shutdown. I mean, here and there you can hear other news. Like we were discussing about that narco terrorist boat that killed four off the coast of Venezuela. Again, this probably the fourth or fifth, both this administration has completely nuked. But this administrator, I mean, sorry, these reporters here at the White House aren't really focused on that. They're focused on the government shutdown. They're focused on the Democrats, they're focusing the Republicans, trash talking each side respectively. So that's really what's been happening here. Aside from it being pretty quiet. That's what the mood is.
Joe Bob
That's. Yeah, again, that's so interesting. Just from an outside perspective, I'm sure viewers at home are looking around like if you, if you ran into neighbors, the chances of them even knowing there was a government shutdown is like very, very sl. And yet reporters who used to love to jump on this sort of stuff, oh my gosh, President Trump is killing terrorists, which for some reason we don't like. I don't know about that whole perspective, but usually they'd be all over this sort of stuff. So with all of the stuff going on around the country, obviously the news of the day doesn't stop when the government shuts down. Portland is a big topic of conversation. What is the White House's kind of posture towards the riots in Portland but also political violence else really? Anywhere?
Monica Page
Sure. Well, Caroline Levitt opened the press briefing not only addressing the government shutdown, but also addressing this huge story coming out of Portland of what we just saw last night. The White House is responding to this very swiftly, saying they're going to begin to start reviewing the aid that the federal government has been sending to Portland, saying we're going to start cutting that off because we're not going to fund these states that are going to allow anarchy. We're not going to allow, you know, money to continue flowing into some of these states, helping them with whatever they need help with if they're going to allow the inmates run the asylum. And that's the kind of the main mood on the ground at the White House. They're remaining firm in that as well. They're also going to enhance ICE and CDP funds and resources to Portland specifically, as it stands right now. And Caroline Levitt said what happened to Nick Sorter last night should concern everyone. But unfortunately for a lot of these reporters, they don't go on the ground like reporters like us or Nick. You know, they're in their climate controlled rooms, whether that's below the White House working or in their studio. So they don't really know what it's like to be covering something like this. Like, you know, some of our teammates on front lines do. They're on the ground with microphones or on the ground covering, I don't know, they're getting punched, they're getting assaulted. It's. It's crazy. And the White House is saying no more. And it's kind of funny to see, you know, some of the reporters also turning a blind eye to what happened to Nick Sorter because that could have happened to any of us at Turning Point or Front Lines, which is really crazy to me. But as it stands right now, there is some new information. The Assistant Attorney General, Harmony Dhillon is on the case. She actually wrote a letter to the Portland Police Department demanding all sorts of documents related to the Portland Police Department's arrest of Nick Sorter and just kind of letting the assailants roam free, allowing these antifa members to roam free. So there's got to be an investigation. I know they're looking into it. Pam Bondi is also on it as well. So we're definitely going to be following this pretty closely, especially because it hits close to home. Nick Sorter is a friend of ours, you know, totally.
Joe Bob
I just had dinner with him the other week. And also too, just to not. We're not bearing the lead here. I'm sure people have heard about it if they're watching this. But yeah, a reporter, journalist just arrested for really no particular reason. We have the whole video in context. We weren't really necessarily talking about this right now, so we don't have it to play for you at the moment, but you can find it online. Just kind of wandering around, then gets mobbed by a bunch of antiva people, pushes them, pushes them off because that's what you should do. And then gets arrested for his troubles because that's the way, like you said, adequately, the insane, the, the inmates running the insane asylum. That's what it's like over there in Portland. Unless, of course, the reporters take a picture of a nice green park and therefore say, this is Portland and don't turn the camera around to Antifa. You had one last thing to say.
Monica Page
No, you took the words right out of my mouth. This is, I think it's the tone deafness among a lot of the reporters at the White House regarding the situation is kind of baffling to me. So, of course, we stand with Nick's order. God bless him. I hope he continues doing this work and don't let this deter him from continuing to do all the good work that he does.
Joe Bob
I can't imagine that it will in the slightest. Monica Page, Turning Points White House correspondent, thanks so much for talking with us. Have a great weekend. We'll see you Monday.
Monica Page
Thanks, Joe. Bob, Have a great weekend.
Joe Bob
Thank you. Speaking of the administration, a bunch of libs are continuing to lose their mind, but that's par for the course. Like they woke up losing their mind. When President Trump washes his hands, they go, it's an assault on water. Okay. But the, I think the bigger ones, I love to point out Joy Behar on the View, which, thank goodness, the View is a thing I again, I recognize that a bunch of people very much dislike the View. If you go to the doctor's office and you're sitting in the waiting room and the View is on, you roll your eyes going, oh, my gosh, who watches this? Well, we do, specifically to bring you the highlights. And by that, I mean the lowlights on this show. I love watching the View because it makes me feel good about myself and the way that I view the world. Whenever, anytime. I watched the cackling hands on the View, yeah, there is a little bit of anger because they're like, yeah, that's insane that you're saying that. But at the same time, I can leave knowing that at least I'm not as unhappy as those women on that show. But again, speaking about the administration, I thought this clip was making fun and making the rounds. This is Joy Behar, who says some funny things that I would like to comment on very briefly. Watch this clip and we will discuss after that.
Monica Page
You guys think, if you guys think that we can survive another three and a half years of this, I think you're delusional. Every day there's some nihilistic things. Can we not start there? I mean, I hate to be Debbie Downer, but you're. Every day this guy survived a lot. Undoing something in this country that we value every day. Every day is a shock and awe here. And I, I, for one, I'm skeptical that we will survive this. I am not. So if you need that from me, I do believe in ourselves. Seen worse.
Dr. Dennis Black
No, No, I have not.
Joe Bob
No, I, I grew up in. During World War II.
Monica Page
Right.
Joe Bob
Well, first, I mean, there's. First, there's a lot there. There's a lot there. Can we survive another three and a half years of this? Yeah, we, we survived President Otto Pen. I think we'll be fine on this one. But also, too, then, the comparison. I like how Sonny Hoston, who is also a crazy lib, was trying to be the voice of reason, saying, but Joy, you've, you've seen worse. And Joy Behar goes, no, no, I've never seen anything worse than the President of the United States being rooted and his policy decisions being rooted in reality. This is the worst thing that's ever happened. And then she throws us for a loop with this one. I grew up during World War II. Holy cow. How old is Joy Behar actually? Quite old. She's 82 years old, which, you know, doesn't look 82. So good, good for her on that front. But I'm not entirely sure she gets to say I grew up during World War II. She was born in October 1942. World War II ends in 1945, so I don't know if that counts as you get to grow up. I don't know if that's your first formidable years. I'm not sure if you're able to talk by the time World War II was over. So again, I, I don't necessarily know how accurate that is, but let's assume that that's the case. She grew up during world. Fine. You grew up as a two year old during World War II, so you know it all too well. That wasn't worse than this. Millions of people dying, Americans dying on the beach in Normandy wasn't worse than what's going on now, which is proclaiming that men are men and women are women, or enforcing laws around the world, making sure we have a border around the world, around the country, but I guess also around the world, especially with those drug dealers who are no longer on the world. That's worse. This is worse than, again, World War II. Okay, noted. Not sure how you make that distinction. I also don't know if you are technically alive during that. I don't know, Joy, but. But that is that the libs are losing their mind. But again, they woke up losing their mind. Next segment, I'm going to talk about Taylor Swift. I know I've worn. I say it's a tease, but it's a warning, right? If you don't want to see me talk about Taylor Swift, go ahead and change the channel. But that, that's never. Why would you say that, Joe Bob? Don't tell viewers to change the channel. That's very dumb. I'm just giving you forewarning here. You don't have to put it on mute and then watch the last segment because we're going to make fun of some libs as we always do in the last segment. But I'm going to talk about Taylor Swift. It is, I think, the beginning of her journey towards conservatism. Will she endorse J.D. vance for 24 president in 2028? Probably not, but I think she's going to back off the hyper feminist woke nonsense that she's been pushing or has pushed in the past. I think T. Swift is on the track to becoming a conservative, which is good for the culture. I will explain after the break.
Dr. Dennis Black
Greetings, naturopathy. Dr. Dennis Black here, founder of Rough Greens. And if only dogs could talk, I think a lot of them would say, hey, thanks for the love, but this food, it's not working for me. The truth is they'd be right. Because most dog food, wet or dry, is cooked at such high temperatures that every live nutrient in it is destroyed and what you're left with is dead food bulked up with fillers and sprayed with artificial flavors. That's not what dogs need. But when you add back in the live vitamins, omega oils and antioxidants are in Rough Greens. Your dog would say something different. Like they'd say, wow, this is delicious. Go to ruffgreens.com use discount code talk. That's Ruff Greens discount code talk. If your dog could only talk, they'd say, thank you.

Welcome back to Turning Point tonight where together we are charting the course of America's cultural comeback. I hope you didn't tune out after the break or during the break when I warned and also teased the fact that I was going to make my case that Taylor Swift is on her journey to becoming a Conservative, which I do believe to be true. So if you stuck around with us, I very much appreciate that. You can email the show anytime you want. Tptpusa.com we love seeing each and every one of your email. I will even accept and read some of the hate emails about again, me doing an entire segment on Taylor Swift, but this will be a shorter one and we'll get to the funny, hilarious videos after this and send you on into the weekend in a positive mood. But I have been saying four years that Taylor Swift will eventually work her way to conservatism. I was emboldened in that belief when she started dating Travis Kelce. I think it was even Matt Walsh that said this was one of the biggest fumbles when conservatives were upset that Taylor Swift was dating a football player. Like, hey, super masculine. I don't know, dude. We're mad about somebody dating somebody that we, we want this sort of thing. We want feminine women to date masculine men and then eventually get married. But at the time I was like, this is, this is good news. Maybe you don't like her, maybe you don't like some of her political stances. And I, I will admit, yeah, she has a, she's said some crazy things, politically speaking. But look at what people do. Not necessarily entirely what they say, especially if they're artists. I have a high threshold for tolerance for artists because artists, in order to be able to articulate and display through art what it means to be human and that's really what art ends up being, ultimately, you have to be, you have to have a couple screws loose. So I, I, I have a lot of grace and a lot of sympathy for artists because that's just kind of the nature of the job that they're in. But overall, I have been saying for a while now that Taylor Swift will eventually come over to the conservative side. Now, does that mean again, she's going to make conservative endorsements politically? No, probably not. But the left, losing a very outspoken figure, especially someone as powerful as Taylor Swift, will be positive despite, despite whether or not she endorses J.D. vance for 2028 or not, which again, I don't think will actually happen. Well, Taylor Swift is in the news because she had an album release, the Life of a Showgirl, which released at midnight. I'm very, very tired because I waited up until midnight, which east coast. That was 9pm where I live. So you stay up till 9pm, listen to the entire album. I think it's great. And I had a couple key takeaways that I Think bolster my argument that Taylor Swift will eventually become a conservative. One, she started dating a super masculine man. Two, those, they get engaged, right? Tariffs, Kelsey and Taylor Swift are engaged. In case you didn't know, in case you live under a rock, they are engaged. Taylor Swift is getting married. I said when they were getting engaged. When they got engaged. I think she is one kid away from being a conservative because like Erica Kirk said when she was talking to Charlie, she thought she was conservative before she got married. And then she got married and have kids and all of a sudden became more conservative. When you get married and have kids, that is part of the process of becoming a conservative. It kind of is in line with what the Winston Churchill quote of, if you're not a Liberal in your 20s, you have no heart. If you're not a conservative in your 30s, after you have kids and have gotten married, ideally you have no brain. Well, that is what Taylor Swift, I think is going through right now. I want to read you a couple lyrics from the most recent album that I think again bolster my claim. Now, this is not a big, long, expanded lyric, but from the song Eldest Daughter songs about, you know, the pitfalls of being the oldest child. You're kind of trial by fire with your parents and you kind of have to figure out how to fight for yourself and all that sort of stuff. It's actually very meaningful song. I think it's actually pretty interesting. But in that song, she said, when I said I don't believe in marriage, that was a lie. Obviously making the case of, look, I'm engaged now. Back when I was kind of a teeny bopper and you know all about girl bossing and CEOing and all that sort of stuff. Yeah, marriage is for free, fools. Not anymore. And I don't think she's saying it was a lies and she was lying at the time. I think she's realized as she's gotten older, oh, this is what life is about. This is what you're supposed to do as men and women. You're supposed to get married and have kids. Again, to further that bolster that argument, and again, I, I don't want to, you know, recite to you the entire album, so I'll keep them short. Here is a song called Wish List. Now, this song starts out with Taylor Swift talking about her friends in the public eye, in the media space, in entertainment overall. And she's talking about, hey, my friends want this, they want that. They want their, you know, boyfriend, who's this? They want their luxury items, their Fat fancy clothes, their restaurant experiences. They want all of these things. And let me read you the lyrics that lead into the course of this song. Again, wish list off the Taylor Swift new album. Uh, and they should have what they want. They deserve what they want. Hope they get what they want. But I just want you again talking to an engaged woman who is marrying that guy. She wants him. That's what she wants. Outside of the luxurious lifestyle that entertainment world thinks that or wants you to think that you should want. Um, I just want you have a couple of kids, got the whole block looking like you. Is this a right wing extremist or is it not? We tell the world to leave us the F alone. Not endorsing the swearing, just reading lyrics. And they do. Wow. Got me dreaming about a driveway with a basketball hoop. Boss up, settle down got a wish list I just want you. I don't know how much more clear it could be that Taylor Swift is starting her journey towards the right, towards conservatism. Her last or not her last album but the album prior to that the the lead single off of it Anti Hero. There's a line and reciting from memory here, did you hear my covert narcissism I disguise as altruism like some kind of congressman. At the time I said that was the most based lyric in the last decade and I still believe that to be true to this day. And I think she's getting further and further to the conservative side of the aisle because that's what happens when you get older and life happens to you. You get married, you have kids and you start voting for JD Vance in 2028. That's what I think is going to happen. She's also friends with the Mahomes. I think that all of these things are culminating or going to culminate in Taylor Swift becoming a conservative. Whether she speaks out against on it or not. I think that is a good thing for the culture, especially someone as powerful as her. You can email the show anytime you want if you disagree with any part of that. I would love to see your emails. I'm very curious about what you all think about this. Some of you think Taylor Swift is irredeemable and I would love to Hear your opinions. TPT USA.com we are going to wrap up the week with some fun videos about, well, libs saying dumb things. But again, what else is new? Bears poop in the woods, the sky is blue, water is Wet. Everybody knows TPT. We'll be right back after the break.

Welcome back to Turning Point tonight where together we are charting the course of America's cultural comeback. TPTP USA.com is the email we love seeing each and every one of your emails. I've even we Glenn and I in the turning point tonight team have started even responding to some of them which I know we hadn't been doing. But I don't know, I feel like inspired. I mean for a lot of different reasons but by all of the good folks that are continuing on the Charlie Kirk show obviously in his legacy, their, their promise to read every single one of those emails that come through to freedom. Charlie Kirk.com you know, I very least we can do is start responding some people who have some interesting points if we don't get to them here on the show specifically. So that is TPTP USA.com we love seeing each and every one of your emails. Also make sure you go subscribe to our YouTube channel and rumble and my personal Facebook page. I don't think we have a turning point tonight Facebook page yet, but I do have a Facebook page that's relatively large in scope so would love for you to follow and subscribe to all of those platforms and Monday through Thursday, I think that's what we're deciding on Monday through Thursday you're gonna get an extra segment that not not seen on the air. You can't. The only place you can see it is the Internet, because obviously we're being censored. It's. We're being banned from time. It's by. It's censorship by time. That's what it is happening here. Of course that's not true. Real America voice is fantastic. We just are adding another layer to the show here. So go to subscribe to our YouTube channel as well as my Facebook page and you can see that extra clip of the show we've got. There was a. There's a discussion on what we should do here specifically. There are several clips that I think we're actually going to push to Monday because I don't want to send you into the weekend in kind of like a sour mood. I've got a clip from Ibram x Kendi that will probably play whose real name, by the way, is Henry Rogers. He's the guy who wrote how to be anti Racist. One of the most racist people in the world, if not the most racist person in the world. Talking about not being racist, but also not being racist is racist. You have to be the opposite. No, the op. So you have to. I don't know. I don't understand it. The whole anti racist thing is very stupid and only believed by stupid people. But we will play that club on Monday instead. We decided to send you out into the weekend with some, I don't know, some fun and glee and joy in your heart, hopefully because we all had so much fun with Sombrero Gate. Hakeem Jose. Senor Jeffries, there have not been any updates from the White House, at least up to this point. But there have been independent people making their own videos. And I will play one of those videos for you. Enjoy. Democrats shut the government down. Up in here. Up in here. Democrats want health care for illegal. Like if Jose crossed the border and Jose got measles, here's an illegal immigrant Affordable health care act for your aches and pains. Put some ice on that. Americans should get health care first. I've been here. I've been been here. Now I want to put a disclaimer out to all of you fine folks watching the show. Those videos weren't real because Tim, Tim Walls might think that they are. I think he's. That's not. We're not trying to push in misinformation. I want to be open with everybody that those videos were AI and computer generated. Of course I know you know that Governor Tim Walls doesn't think you do. And I say they're pushing misinformation. I don't know. I don't know, I thought that was funny, and I felt like you should see it. And I, you know, appreciate you enough to want to leave you into the weekend happy and fulfilled. Have a great weekend. Try to unplug from all the news of the day. I know it's kind of difficult nowadays, but it'll do you some good. Go sit in the backyard. Enjoy the fall colors as they come. We will see you Monday, same time, same place. Thanks so much for watching God Bless America.

Joe Bob maintains a sharp, irreverent tone throughout—mocking progressive figures and policies with sarcasm, satire, and directness. He balances humor with political commentary, embracing a combative, culture-war approach. Frequent callbacks to pop culture (The View, Taylor Swift), riffs on news cycles, and cheerful calls to action for emails and audience participation keep the episode lively and engaging for listeners opposed to mainstream liberal narratives.
This episode exemplifies Turning Point Tonight’s blend of comedic and sharply critical conservative commentary. Joe Bob tackles topics ranging from education policy to pop culture (even making a case for Taylor Swift’s political evolution), using each segment to drive home the message that America’s “cultural comeback” is underway—so long as listeners stay informed, mock the “libs,” and stand for conservative values.
