There'S even more Jimmy Kimmel backlash. I feel like we had that sorted out. But apparently Jimmy Kimmel is the new Kilmar Abrego Garcia or the Hill that lives continue to want to die on for some reason. Also, 11 elected officials arrested by the evil, evil government. What were they doing and why is it just another publicity stunt? And also French politics. Why does that matter in America? Well, it does because if we don't fix what's going on here, what's going on there is going to happen to us. All that more coming up on this episode of Turning Point tonight. My name is Joe Bob. Thanks so much for tuning in. Together we are charting the course of America's cultural comeback. This is Turning Point tonight. Remember, you can email the show anytime you want. Tptpusa.com we love seeing all of your emails and especially ahead of Charlie Kirk's funeral on Sunday in Phoenix, Arizona. We love seeing all the well wishes and memories folks had with them. We'll get to several emails later on in the show, but that is tptpusa.com now before we get into any of those stories, we've got to talk about again what I think is the biggest story. Charlie Kirk National Day of remembrance will be October 14th. The Senate confirmed yesterday unanimously, by the way, which is honestly great to see. I understand we disagree with several of senators fervently. I think several of them act like jackasses. However, they did all vote unanimously. Unfortunately, that was not the case in the House. The House today voted on the same resolution commemorating Charlie Kirk which eulogized him, portraying him as a free speech champion who worked tirelessly and and effortless tirelessly to promote unity and engaged in civil and respectful discourse, which is just objectively true. There's not really any argument against that. It's he sat on a campus for several hours at a time and just talked to people. I don't quite understand how that would be bad, but 58 Libs voted against it, which is highly concerning. One of those libs was aoc, which, you know, of course it was. I want to play you a little bit of her reasoning as to why. It's probably exactly what you think it would be. But this is the congresswoman from New York who I believe to be a dope selling, saying why she did not support the resolution for Charlie Kirk, which again is based around free speech and engaging in civil discourse. Play that clip.
Carol Markowitz
Today's resolution only underscores the majority's recklessness by choosing to author this condemnation and honoring on A purely partisan basis. Instead of uniting Congress in this tragedy with one of the many bipartisan options to condemn political violence and Kirk's murder, as we did with the late Melissa Hortman, instead, the majority proceeded with a resolution that brings great pain to the millions of Americans who endured segregation, Jim Crow, and the legacy of bigotry today.
Joe Bob
So basically, she's saying, we don't want to vote for this resolution because it includes Charlie's name. Okay, well, why is that a problem? Well, she goes on to say, while he did not like the civil rights movement, which gave black people several other rights. Okay, so what we're getting then is a bunch of libs took what Charlie said, misunderstood it, and then acted on that misunderstanding. Again, if you watch Charlie in context, there's very. It's very difficult to argue with any of his points. And even if you disagree with the points, it's very difficult to say, okay, well, he wasn't coming at this in an intellectually honest way, because, of course, he was in everything that he did. And yet 58 libs decided, yeah, we're not going to vote for this. Interestingly enough, I think the Hill pointed out that the overwhelming majority of those 58 libs were a part of either the Congressional black members of Congress, the Congressional Black Caucus, the Congressional Hispanic Caucus, and unfortunately, the Congressional Asian American Congress, which are Pacific or. Sorry, Congress. Pacific. What? I don't know. I don't know why we're all grouped together. It doesn't make sense. I don't actually care about any of these caucuses. I'm just saying it's kind of interesting. And that all leads up to. I don't even know if I should make the joke, because it's not a joking matter, but maybe they were just upset that October 14th is also St. George Floyd's birthday. And you. You do not dare disgrace good old George Floyd, who is a drug addict and not a good person overall, which everybody agrees with, by putting the Day of Remembrance, which is also Charlie's birthday, coincidentally enough, on that. Just that George Floyd Day. And I don't even know necessarily should make that joke, but it is actually an interesting comparison, and I don't want to undermine the ridiculousness of 58 elected officials saying, no, no, no, we don't like the whole free speech thing. We don't like this civil discourse thing. We don't like any of that stuff because specifically, this guy is attached to it. It's disgusting. But again, I'm glad it passed. Uh, just as a note to several big Time libs did vote for it. We want to keep that in mind because I think they understand the gravity of this situation. Yeah, you may not have agreed with the guy, but this says something overall about the health of the country, which is very, very troubling. Um, and even reflecting in polls nowadays, a recent poll from the Associated Press has showed something rather shocking. And of course, in my opinion of reading this article, they misdiagnosed the purpose for it. Uh, a poll that was conducted just days after Charlie Kirk's assassination said that only half of Republican voters now see the nation as on the right course, which is down from 70% in June. In other words, there's a 20% drop in Republicans that think we are on the right track. Now, the article goes on to, to talk about all of the different mitigating factors. Well, it's employment and all the tariffs are causing more inflation and the interest rates aren't going down and all of these things. But the reality is we all know why people might think the direction of the country is off course. It's not because of President Trump, it's not because of any of the policies, it's not because of immigration or seeing any of the videos of people get criminals getting thrown into cars and getting out of our country. No, it's the assassination of a guy that we all loved. To pretend it is anything other than that is ridiculous. I understand the drop in that polling that makes sense to me. And honestly, if you had asked me the next day after Charlie was assassinated what I think if the country is going in the right direction, I would have said no. Because nobody wants to see this sort of political violence, especially for someone who we all considered a friend to go around and pretend that there was any other factor, any other variable outside of Charlie's senseless murder is ridiculous. Libs are going to obviously be trying to paint that in a way that is not conducive to conservatives in politics. They're going to say, well, look, they don't even approve of their own administration when their administration is in power. But no, the, the reality is that we all saw that horrific murder and decided, yeah, this, the country collectively as a culture, not the administration, not the policy, is on a not great track right now. And that's to put it lightly. Everybody should be aware that whatever drop that there exists, especially among Republicans and conservatives, is all due to the senseless, cold blooded murder of, of our friend Charlie Kirk. To say that it is anything other than that is ridiculous. It's irresponsible and senseless. To say the least. The good news though is that resolution did passed. October 14th, Charlie's birthday will be a national day of remembrance and Charlie's name and legacy will live on for in in perpetuity forever in the minds of the American conscious. Again, October 14th, Charlie's birthday a national day of remembrance. You can email us anytime you want. Tptpusa.com we got a lot coming up in the show. Jimmy Kimmel is still in the news. For some reason, libs have decided to make Jimmy Kimmel their new Kilmar Abrego Garcia. I'm not sure if the ratings would back up that point. We're also going to talk about France. Interestingly enough, French politics going to play a big role. Hopefully we're not looking at what's going to eventually happen here, but if we don't correct course it might be and publicity stunts. We'll talk about that. These 11 elected arrested in New York City by the evil, evil federal government. So yeah, we're going to get to all of that stuff today. We're also going to get to your emails. Tptusa.com I do want to mention this up front to myself. Our whole Turning Point Tonight team as well as the entirety of the Turning Point family will be at the Charlie Kirk Memorial on Sunday in Phoenix, Arizona. If you see us, come say hi. Love to shake your hand and wish each other well because we all knew Charlie as a friend and although it'll be a very solemn occasion, it is good for us to collect as a family and as a group of conservatives who have the values that Charlie held and remember him as all as well as connect with each other. So if you see us there, if you're going to be in Phoenix, don't be shy. Come shake our hands and we'd really appreciate that in commemorating the great American that is Charlie Kirk. Don't go away. We'll be right back after the break.

Welcome back to Turning Point tonight where together we are charting the course of America's cultural comeback. Remember, you can email the show anytime you want. Tptpusa.com we will read some of those emails later on in the show. TPTPUSA.com and all of the well wishes and memories of Charlie Kirk are still coming in. They're still great and honestly really helpful to see. So if you have any of those or you want to comment on anything we're talking about here on the show more broadly, tbt@tpusa.com. love to see all of your emails. One of the things that I think has been fascinating to watch here, and we've mentioned this a couple times, especially over the last couple days, is the performative politics that exist in arguably, not really arguably, objectively, a pretty tumultuous political climate. Eleven elected officials were arrested in New York City. Oh no. Oh, how, how terrible is that? Uh, actually not really at all. If you look at what is actually happening, the big headlines from the Big Apple were saying, oh my gosh, this is just more fascism. They're arresting people for. Okay, well what for? Well, apparently Those up to 11 officials who were elected in either the city or the state were doing this. Watch this clip and we will discuss why what they're doing is ridiculous together. That's probably good. We probably, probably recognize what's going on there. They had to make sure all the cameras were set up before they started chanting. What those were, were protesters going into a building to. From the, I think this is the ABC affiliate in New York City saying, well, they're going to protest the conditions at an immigration holding facility in Manhattan where a federal judge this week extended a court order requiring the government to shape up the treatment of the detainees. A federal judge said something. How new of a story is that nowadays? But basically a federal judge said, hey yeah, you gotta make sure this is a five star hotel for these illegals. That's what New York City is used to put them up in the nicest possible hotel, one that me or you can't afford. But let's give it to the illegals. We. Well, apparently that standard, that five star gold standard was not being met. And therefore, for performative purposes, 11 elected New York officials needed to sit Indian style in the lobby of this ICE facility and chant like they were kindergarteners and their teacher was, I don't know, having them have fun during between nap time and storytime. I'm not entirely sure what they were planning to do specifically, but we've all seen this before and I think that's the broader purpose here. These people were not actually looking to do anything other than gain media attention. They clearly had all the cameras in that room. They started chanting their let us in, let us in. Which as we've seen so many times, you probably actually can get in if you do it the right way, file a request and go say, hey, can we actually come in this facility? And they'll probably be like, okay, well yeah, you're an elected official, we can't squeeze you in today, but how's Next week. And that's how things go. But if you want to make a political point again, you sit there, crisscross applesauce like a 5 year old and start chanting fervently, but you got to make sure the cameras are on or else no one will actually care. Now, we don't actually care regardless. But remember, this is all a publicity stunt. Here's the difference with publicity stunts. Now that mimic what publicity stunts were back in the day. This shouldn't be a shock or surprise to anyone. But the United States, for its benefit, has had protests where people hope to change the hearts and minds of either the populace or the elected officials. That has worked in the past. Specifically, you probably all remember protests around Vietnam. I'm not here to relitigate whether or not the United States should have gotten involved in in Vietnam, but I want to bring you some interesting poll numbers on the Vietnam War as it progressed in time and through America's political culture. In 1965, about 64% of Americans were pro going into Vietnam. About, you know, 2/3 of Americans said this is probably in our best interest. Again, I'm not necessarily even saying yes or no. I'm just saying that's what the polling was in 1965. By 1968, only 32% of Americans approved of Johnson's job in Vietnam. Now that's not, there's a lot of other different variables. There's not a lot of different ways to pull that. But the bottom line is 2/3 of America agreed going in. And then in three years, 1/3, 1, 1 out of every 3Americans said, not really a big fan of how this administration is handling that. That then led to bunch of Vietnam protests around college campuses. Some got a little bit more violent than others. I would call those riots. But the bottom line is the protesters in effect were articulating the way that the public felt. In other words, they were protesting, they were standing up for something. But the broader community of the United States of America thought, yeah, we actually agree with that. That in effect obviously took some time, but eventually kind of changed the minds of the politicians. That differs from what's happening today because nobody agrees with these people. One of the biggest reasons, and I don't need to tell you folks, one of the biggest reasons that Donald Trump got elected was because he was saying, hey, I'm going to get all of the illegals out of the country. There was a poll that had I during the election, I can't think of it off the top of my head, that had like 80 or 90% of Americans saying, no, get every illegal out of the country. That wasn't even accounting for amnesty. That wasn't even accounting for. Okay, well, is it a DACA kid or no? No, all the illegals gone. I would argue to say that that probably wasn't the actual true nature. What it was within that polling was sending a message, this is important to us. We want this. Now, overall, the polling really hasn't changed much. Yes, as power changes, the polling slips down a little bit. But overall, the broad majority of Americans want illegals to get deported from the country, which makes a difference. When you see protests in like this, it also will probably remind you of the Senator Alex Padilla protest where he effectively tried to rush the stage when Chrissy Noem was giving a speech and, well, got tackled for his troubles. Actually, I don't think he ever got tackled. They just put him on the ground and said, hey, dude, who are you? So I'm a U.S. senator. Okay, well, why are you acting like an animal coming in off the streets? The bottom line here is that all of these performative politics while protesting does actually make a difference in this country. Well, it is used primarily to reinforce the ideas that the people already have. In other words, the country is more susceptible to being swayed by protests. The elected officials are more susceptible being swayed by protests when the populace agrees with what the protesters are doing. Because the United States says, yeah, we probably should have borders, we should have a strong southern border, we probably shouldn't let anybody else in. And we got to get the illegals, especially the criminal legals and out of the country. Performative politics like the ones that you're seeing in New York City don't work. The idea that a headline saying, well, there was 11 elected officials that were just arrested in New York City doesn't make a difference because everybody can recognize, one, they were not doing the protest in the proper way, and two, we don't agree with these people anyways. If they would have just gone through the process, they, they probably could have inspected the facilities. But again, that's not actually what they wanted to do. They wanted the sound bites to be on the Internet. The fascist federal government, which I don't even think they know what fascist means, was arresting people just for trying to check up on the illegal, criminal immigrants that are in this country, again, illegally. That is of course not what happened. And I think hopefully the entirety of the American people understand that this stuff won't work. It's just, it's not going to work. Especially because the United States of America has such free speech ideas to where we can express. Yeah, we don't want illegals in the country. And you pulling these sorts of stunts isn't going to change hearts and minds because we know what you're doing. It is a publicity stunt. It's an attention grab. And it doesn't work because it's not bolstering the side, generally speaking, of where Americans fall. So good luck with your arrest. I hope the book is thrown at these folks. You're not, you're not being victimized in any way, shape or form. And that goes for Senator Alex Padilla, too, who still is airing. I was watching Thursday Night Football last night and there was not to get into California weeds. There was a vote yes on Prop 50, make sure California's California takes away the rights of the people to redistrict as they see fit. Again, not to get too in the weeds on that, but there was a commercial of Alex Padilla getting arrested and I can't imagine anybody was watching that without rolling their eyes going, yeah, dude, if you bum rush a federal official, doesn't matter who you are, especially if you're not identifying yourself as a senator, things are not going to work out in your favor. Performative politics is dumb. It is stupid. I wish we didn't do it, but also I hope lives continue doing it because it's very fun to mock them for something that won't actually make a difference. I'm very happy to do that and continually do that. Coming up. Speaking of performative politics, I want to talk about Jimmy Kimmel and the fallout from that because I think there is more than I think we originally even thought. Yesterday we spent a good portion of the show talking about that. Well, there's more to be said as more people come out and talk against it, especially some hilarious tweets from Barack Obama. Don't go away. You're not going to want to miss this. We'll be right back after the break.

Welcome back to Turning Point tonight where together we are charting the course of America's call cultural comeback. Send us an email tptpusa.com you can send memories of Charlie well wishes ahead of the funeral that's happening on Sunday in Phoenix, Arizona. If you're gonna be at that funeral, come and say hi. I'd love to say hi to shake your hand and say hello and offer my condolences. It serves, you know, we all loved Charlie in a very similar way. So where was oh TPTP USA.com youm can send a bunch of emails that direction. If you have any thoughts on Charlie, if you have any thoughts on anything we talked about today, I would love to see those emails. We'll get to some of those later. On in the show. TPTP USA.com I wanted to talk about the continued fallout of Jimmy Kimmel. I thought this was really interesting, specifically yesterday, you know, you kind of expect this to be a news story for a day or two and okay, it's a big thing and it's now blown over because it's really not that important. Important in reality. Right? Jimmy Kimmel's show had about a million people, give or take, watching it every single night. And if you do the math on 350 million people in the country, and I'm counting the illegals too, because you have to count them, especially if you're redistricting and giving a congressional power. But specifically, yeah, if you do the math, that's like less than 0.2% of people watch the show. So I guess, I don't know, I wasn't expecting it to be like that big of a deal, but apparently it was. Now, on the photo here, you see a picture of a good old Dick Blumenthal who had some words and he was just among many other people, including a former president, to share their opinions on the quote unquote, censored late night comedian who again's ratings were so low, I can't imagine why he was even on the air to this point, but he was. And I want to play you some of the arguments that the libs are making so that you can get an idea of how to respond to people who you meet in real life and go, I can't believe those fascists are canceling shows. Watch this from, from good old Dick Blumenthal.
Dick Blumenthal
Senator, you may think of Jimmy Kimmel as comedy or entertainment, but censoring him goes to the core of suppressing free expression in this country. Other presidents have wanted to silence critics by threatening to revoke licenses or stop mergers. None has dared until now. What Donald Trump is doing through his lapdog chairman of the FCC, is essentially to pressure these big corporations to silence any kind of criticism, any kind of satire, any kind of challenge that is un American and anti democratic. And that's why we need to call out the chairman of the fcc. I think he needs to resign. Brendan Carr and their kowtowing to him shows they have no backbone. They need to stand up. All of us do, because our democracy is at stake. What we're seeing is creeping, in fact, galloping authoritarianism. Fear and intimidation are the autocrat instruments of power. And to spread this cancer of fear and intimidation is threatening to all of our rights, the entire body of democracy.
Joe Bob
Okay, there's a lot of the. There's, there's a lot there from good old Dick. I think that's the guy who also lied about going to Vietnam and serving in the war there. He was actually in the military, but he was stationed in Washington, D.C. but on the campaign trail in 2010, he said, when I was in Vietnam. And well, that's just a side note on good old Dick Blumenthal. Uh, he made some interesting comments there. Nobody has ever dared revoke the licenses of anyone because that would be censoring free speech. Well, good news. President Trump also didn't revoke the license to anyone. Now, I will say this in the, in the interest of being fair and intellectually honest, there are some things that I probably wouldn't have said necessarily from the administration. But to say that suggesting or even like offhanded remarks of, oh, yeah, maybe, maybe we should review some licenses. When you're asked on the plane flying back to from Britain, which we don't need to play the clip of that. I'm sure you've seen that already. Yeah, that's not hard policy. Let me know what he actually does. This seems to be a consistent thing theme with the libs of, I can't believe President Trump did this. Okay, well, he didn't. He kind of said it off the cuff, kind of, I don't know, tweeted it out. When it happens, let me know, because if they are actually pulling licenses, I'll be the first one to say, yeah, that's probably not the best idea. What's actually happening is the companies that were carrying Jimmy Kimmel's show already were not in a good place with him. The advertisers were revolting. They, the networks didn't want to carry them in their geographical broadcast locations. And this finally was the last straw. And the scapegoat now is pressure from the federal government. I'll tell you what, pressure is such a scapegoat because it's an intangible thing. That's like me saying, why did the dishes this evening? Because my wife pressured me to do so. Well, that actually is not the best example because there are actual tangible ramifications for that if I don't do the dishes. So that leave that off the table. The bottom line here is that all of the things that we're now finding out, which include reporting, I believe, from the New York Post, that said, yeah, Kimmel was on the phone with the higher ups at Disney saying, hey, I'm, I'm going to go on and clean this up. And he couldn't even convince them that that would be a good idea because they said he actually might make it worse. So we're actually going to go ahead and pull this all together. That's not government censorship. That is a business decision. And yet we've got even more people piling on President Barack Obama, who definitely didn't try to silence any of his pundits that he didn't like, or TV shows that started with an R and ended with an Ozan for various other reasons that we won't necessarily get into right now. Sent out a couple tweets that I want to show you, piling on to this whole idea of bad business being masked as Trump's fascist censorship. He says, after years of complaining about cancel culture. All right, we've already discussed why those are not the same thing. The current administration has taken it to a new and dangerous level by routinely threatening regulatory action against media companies unless they muzzle or fire reporters and commentators they don't like. He continues in the deaf different tweet and says, this is precisely the kind of government coercion that the First Amendment was designed to prevent, and media companies need to start standing up rather than capitulating to it. Actually, I think he kind of has a point there, and I think that's the reason why I'm so fervently saying, now, dude, ABC is a big company. They're big boys. They have attorneys. If that were to actually happen, if the thing that you're accusing the Trump administration actually was put into practice, Disney would sue them, and I guarantee you they would find a federal judge to block President Trump. Because guess what? Apparently, that's the favorite activity of federal judges. You find a federal judge in. In public, you ask him, hey, sir, what do you like doing? He's not gonna say, I like to go golf. I like to go sailing. He's gonna go, I like to block President Trump. So to say that that was even under threat threat is ridiculous in nature. And Barack Obama of all people should know that. I could go off into the tangent of where I think President Obama is afraid of a lot of things being uncovered in regards to the Russia hoax, but that'll be a story for a different time. Um, the main thing that I think we need to focus on here is that it was a business decision, or at least all of the facts point to the fact that it was a business decision. And I think we need to remind people that, remember when you guys kicked the President of the United States off of all of social media, not even like the former President. He was the sitting president of the United States. And all of social media said, well, we can't have this guy on our platforms. And they silenced and censored a sitting US President. Now, I got a bunch of arguments if you even call them that in my comment section when talking about this. And they said, well, those are private companies. Yeah, dude. So is abc. You think President Trump is the CEO of Disney? Like, is that how you think this works? If you're going to make the case that there was so much pressure that ABC couldn't withhold keeping Jimmy Kimmel on the air because of the pressure from President Trump, which I don't think happened, then you also then have to say that the pressure from all of the powers that be in the lib universe took effect when they censored President Trump off of every single social media platform. You can't have both things. Dick Blumenthal issued a statement. We, well, we watched the video. We don't necessarily that that's the graphic of it. He says on Twitter, President Trump should be permanently banned. No private company is obligated to provide a microphone for a malicious campaign to incite violence. That, again, is Dick Blumenthal, who's horrified at Jimmy Kimmel, who was no longer funny, by the way. I agree with Vice President J.D. vance on this. He used to be really funny. I mean, Charlie disagreed on this. Used to be funny. He was no longer funny. So I don't know. It's just, it's fascinating, the flip flops. I didn't know that we would have to do an entire segment continuing to talk about Jimmy Kimmel's show, which again, point 2% of the population watched on any routine basis. But there it is. You've got a bunch of people lining up on the lib side of the aisle making this their Kilmar Abrego Garcia choosing to die on a hill that is very comical to die on. Coming up after the break, interestingly enough, we're going to talk about some French politics and how they might affect the United States and what we're doing here, as well as we might even get into an TIFA globally. Several other European countries are following President Trump's lead and saying, yeah, antifa is a problem and we probably should categorize them as a domestic terrorist organization. You can also email the show anytime you want. Tptpusa.com, don't go away. We'll be right back after the break.

Welcome back to Turning Point tonight, where together we are charting the course of America's cultural comeback. TPTPUSA.com if you want to email the show, you can email us anything. You can email us memories of Charlie, you can email us thoughts you have on any of the stories we have today. Sunday is Charlie's funeral in Phoenix, Arizona at State Farm Stadium, which I can't remember anybody who's had a funeral that big. The police are saying this security is going to rival a Super bowl, which is again, unbelievable outpouring of love for Charlie Kirk. He will be greatly missed and we'll send him off on Sunday in Phoenix, Arizona. If you're going to be there, you know we love saying hi to you, so feel free to come up and say hello. I'd love to shake your hand and again offer my condolences to you because I'm sure we're all grieving Charlie's passing. That's happening Sunday. TPTP USA.com if you want to send us an email. You know what I think is really interesting is the amount of times that libs say, well, this doesn't exist. And then we want to do something about it. And they say, no, you can't. Kind of like, I don't know, abortions in the late term, like, hey, this isn't happening, so don't worry about it. And then we say, okay, well then what's the problem? If, if we ban it and they can't come up with an argument, it's like gender mutilation surgery for kids. It's not happening. But don't you dare ban it. That's what is happening with an tifa. President Trump, we talked to Monica Page at the White House the other day, designated an TIFA a domestic terrorist organization. Now, we understand that that might be difficult to pinpoint because of a bunch of different reasons. Uh, but Antifa, a hundred percent, is a domestic terrorist organization that is looking to topple the west and all of the values that this country hold, this country holds near and dear. There is some good news, though, on the international scale. The Netherlands and Hungary have joined President Trump in designating antifa domestic terrorists. Now, the. One of the big issues again with the left is saying that, hey, these people don't exist. But I think what is happening here with again, two other European countries saying, no, this does exist, is it emboldens the argument on the conservative side. Because remember, not all that long ago, the this was the argument being made by the left. This is a clip from the 2020 debate between President Trump and President Biden on Antifa. When Trump brought it up, Biden said what. What every lib has been saying for way too long. Watch this. Somebody's got to do something about Antifa and the left because this is not a Right wing problem. This is a left. I direct. This is a left wing white supremacist. Antifa is an idea, not an organization. You got it? Not pollution. That's what his tonight, his FBI director said. Well then you know what?
Public Rec Announcer
No, no, we're done, sir.
Joe Bob
Yes, Antifa doesn't exist. Now to clarify the point, the former director of the FBI, Christopher Wray did say that Antifa is not a group and organization, it is a movement or an ideology. Now that can be characterized in a bunch of different ways, but he did go on to say antifa was a real thing, that the FBI had several investigations, active investigations into violent anarchist extremists, including individuals who identified as antifa. The best example I think that we could give here is the United States. In and of itself. The United States of America is a collection of ideas that is boundaried by geographical limits. The idea of the United States is an idea and it is also a geographical place and a collection of people. So to say that it is antifa is. It's just not. These people don't exactly don't exist anywhere. Well, President Trump exemplified it perfectly when he said, yeah, if antifa hits you over the head with a bat, that's not an idea that actually hurts. And the idea that antifa is just not in existence is crazy. Jack Posobic, interestingly enough, turning point contributor as well as a host here on rav, pointed something out on X that I had forgotten, but I honestly shouldn't have. I hadn't forgotten and I just didn't come to the forefront of my mind. Actually a video of me in 2023 at an event with Charlie where I was opening for him. I just happened to be wandering around the halls and noticed a, a hoard of people who are, who are an idea. These weren't real people. These are just imaginary picture figments of my imagination. According to President Biden were coming towards a window and I naively got up to the window thinking well, this door is locked, locked. But Jack posted that video so I want to play that for you here before I get well, give you what he said. Watch this clip. This is me being naive. But again, of course this is, this is an idea. It doesn't really exist and no windows were actually broken in the making of this video. Check this out. Jack tweeted the Biden DOJ did nothing when Antifa attacked Charlie Kirk on campus in 2023. That's again at the University of California, Davis. Two years later, an anti fascist shot him dead on another campus. The threat will always be there, says Jack. I can't help but agree with that sentiment. Antifa is a real thing and it's good that other countries around the world are recognizing it as such. But speaking about other countries around the world, we've, we've all heard about France, especially in recent days, but there's something going on in France that I think is going to have an effect, or at least a preview into the future of what we might become, unfortunately, if we continue down several of the socialistic paths that we are currently on. There were riots over the weekend in France and I'm going to play you a short clip of that before discussing what they're writing about and how that relates to us in this country right now. Watch this. So the idea that that is happening comes with a lot of explanation. You got to understand why things are happening. Now. Obviously can't get into the minutiae of French politics, but broadly speaking, everybody is aware that France has super lax retirement policies, super lax working conditions. In France, if you didn't know this, you are legally required to have five weeks minimum of vacation per year. You count that with weekends included, you're looking at a month and a half that you just get to get off. The retirement age in, in France is also 62 years old, with lots of entitlements that you get after you retire. The average lifespan in France is also 82. So we're talking another 20 years of people not working, funded by people who also like, are kind of working, but still have a month and a half off per year, because that's a thing that they do in France. And what is happening is their Social Security esque Ponzi scheme is falling apart. Part President Macron is through his sixth prime minister in his term. If the government collapses. And again, not to explain how French parliament works, and I don't really even know how it works entirely, but I do know that when the government collapses and the Prime Minister is forced to resign, the President gets to appoint a new one. This is the sixth one that they are appointing because France has faced the reality, or is facing the reality of overspending and not taking in enough money, which is what we all don't want to have happen here. We all witnessed Elon Musk and what his biggest issue was. That's why we created doge, the Government Department of Efficiency or the Department of Government Efficiency, to eliminate the waste and roll back a lot of the spending. Because if we don't do that, we will need to institute austerity measures and if those austerity measures are instituted, you're going to see rioting in the streets whether you like it or not. I'm not trying to out figure fear monger anybody. I'm just trying to be realistic and point to a real world example that is happening now in France. They do not want any of the austerity measures to take place. Austerity measures meaning stricter restrictions on spending and higher taxes, which again, nobody wants. But you have to face the monetary reality. What they've also tried to do is import a bunch of the third world and ask anybody in Paris if they think that's a good idea. You go to Paris and there's a. There's a hilarious joke and I don't want to steal her thunder, but I can't quite remember what this woman's name was. She said, we went to Paris and we got these cool hats that they wear in Paris. I forget what you call them. Burkas. And while that's a funny joke, it's not a funny reality to exist in Paris and in France, a formerly great country of the world. The bottom line here is if we continue on the trajectory that we are on now, if we elect leaders like the socialist in New York, we are going to unfortunately be going down the same path. And that is not the America that we have fought for, that's not the America that Charlie had fought for, and that's not the America that anyone wants. Uh, so fair warning, do not become France. It will be the undoing of us. Uh, coming up after the break, we're gonna read some of your emails as well as potentially look at some ridiculous videos. But we'll see how much time we've actually end up having. You can also email the show tptpusa.com don't go away. We'll be right back after the break.

Welcome back to Turning Point tonight, where together we are still continuing to chart the course of America's cultural comeback. Remember, you can email the show anytime you want. Tptpusa.com we're going to read some of your emails here today, but anything you have to say, if it's in remembrance of Charlie or if you have any thoughts on anything we talk about here on the show, specifically the Jimmy Kimmel thing. We got a bunch of emails from that we're not necessarily going to address them again because I feel like you've heard enough about Jimmy Kimmel being the new Kilmar Abrego Garcia of the left. But again tptpusa.com we love seeing each and every one of your emails again. I want to remind people too, we would love to meet you in real life. We obviously have a relationship here that we've been able to build and we're so fortunate to have. But at Charlie's memorial, I know several watch tens of that hundreds of thousands of people probably will show up. And so if you see us, you know, don't be afraid to say hi. I know some people say, hey, I'll get messages. Hey, I saw you walking around, you know, some event, but I didn't want to bother you. It's not a bother. Charlie would have, Charlie facilitated the meeting of conservatives across the country at all of the different events and we would love to meet you and shake your hand in real life. The whole Turning Point Tonight team will be in Phoenix this Sunday for Charlie's memorial. That being said, I want to get to some emails here that I thought, I thought were fun. I think, well should be, you know, good to go through together. D said, this is, this is great. I love the verbiage D uses here. I invited Charlie into my home five days a week from 11 to 1, almost every weekday for at least five years. Obviously she didn't physically invite Charlie into her home, although I believe if he would have shown up, D would have happily let him in. Talking about radio this is how people consume content and consume radio. People say. I felt like I know Charlie because they did, they really did. And you know, so many people felt like they knew Charlie by just listening to him every single day on the radio. He articulated things well beyond his years. Scary, intense, deliciously snarky. And this is my favorite part about this dude. His, his subtle fat shaming made me laugh out loud. I, I, I picked up on that too. I would always pick up on that. And you never know if you're like, ah, am I supposed to laugh at this? But yes, he meant it to be funny. And I too, if you, if you, if you really pay attention to this show. I try to, I try to do the same thing in certain ways sometimes. But I, I love that. I appreciate you, you pointing that out because Charlie would, Charlie was funny. So a funny guy. He was, he was witty, he was quick, he was sarcastic. And a lot of people never really got to see that to its fullest extent. That's why I've been posting a bunch of videos. If you follow me on social media, Instagram specifically just jobob, you'll be able to find me. I'VE been posting a bunch of old videos of us doing round tables where we're just laughing, having a good time, throwing out insane conspiracy theories that don't actually mean anything, but just had fun talking about it. He was a fun guy. And again D I really love that you pointed that out. Amy, kind of in the vein of comedy says I'm really glad you talked about how hard comedy is nowadays. It's got to be rough, but you're doing great. Thank you. I appreciate that. Can't even imagine again, very much appreciate that this is what this show was meant to be. I recognize that we really have kind of changed the format around because of the tragic events of last week, but the show was meant to be kind of funny. We were meant to be snarky and sarcastic and have guests and kind of go off the walls and the sillier takes of the news of the day and you know, maybe we'll get back to that. But the time for that is it doesn't. It just doesn't feel right. And so I appreciate those viewers thinking about that going through the day and last one we'll get to today is April say I laugh abundantly watching more than watching. Sorry. Let me. Let me be able to read. I probably that's probably be a prerequisite to doing a talk shows being able to read. I laugh abundantly more watching one episode of your show mocking the crazy libs than I ever did watching any of Jimmy Kimmel or Stephen Colbert shows. I appreciate that Stephen Colbert coming in for a kick and I know he's not on the news right now in the news right now but isn't he though Same same fate that Jimmy Kimmel will meet a lack of audience members not not being censored. No no CBS is trying to turn a corner and be profitable again is why Stephen Colbert is no longer in the job. But anyways emails TPT tv USA.com we love reading we're trying to gonna try to make this at least a consistent thing that stays I know we'd emailed a lot and we got a lot of emails. We never really kind of interacted engaged but we'll try to make at least this segment maybe even earlier if you've got a good point part of the show. Tptbusa.com if you want to weigh in on whatever is going on in your mind or in your neck of the woods or any stories that we should be hip to tptp USA.com I want to bring up this video. I know it's Been making the rounds in the last couple minutes. We got here today and also this week. This is Ilhan Omar, who. What are some nice things that we could say about her? She can walk. I don't know. I, I don't know if that's a talent, really. It's. But good, good. That's, I'm saying positive things about people that I dislike fervently. Man, this is, in hindsight, this, I don't know if was the best clip to play. Send you off into a Friday, into a weekend, especially the weekend with Charlie's memorial. I don't, I don't know if it's the best idea to play a clip that's going to enrage you, but this one might. And I, at, at the risk of not putting it off until Monday and then having a bunch of other things happen that we have to talk about on Monday, I'm gonna play it for you now. Again, I apologize that this is happening in the last segment of the last show you're probably gonna watch today, but here it is, Congresswoman Ilhan Omar talking about my friend, your friend, Charlie Kirk in a less than charitable way. Watch this. I believe those of you who are interested in rewriting this Hateful man are.
Emily Maitlis and John Sopel
Full of.
Joe Bob
Ah, yes. What not hateful people say the, the party of love and tolerance says to a congregation. By the way, who let that lady into their church, right? It's not a, I don't know, a mosque. Why was she there? Whoever let her in, she said, yeah, I'm not all of you who are trying to rewrite this Hateful Man. I don't know, maybe she wasn't talking about Charlie because clearly she wouldn't have any idea. Just decides to go with what the Internet says. Interestingly enough, after this clip, I was curious, I was curious about her kind of backstory. I think she's on her fourth marriage, one. I, I, I don't know that any of them were to her brother. Again, I can't confirm that that's real. And also, I don't know if that's a fake story. But regardless, she was like, basically has a pretty checkered past. And I only say that to say that maybe that's why she is somewhat of a tormented mind. But again, you know, here on this side of the aisle, we actually don't hate everyone as they seem to. But the most hateful words coming out of the people that tend to say, we love tolerance and peace. That's gonna do it for us today and for this week. Have a great weekend. If you see us at the Memorial, come say hi. We will see you same time, same place on Monday. God Bless America.

Podcast: Real America’s Voice
Host: Joe Bob
Date: September 20, 2025
Episode: Turning Point Tonight, With JoeBob, September 19th, 2025
This episode of “Turning Point Tonight” centers around the aftermath of the assassination of conservative activist Charlie Kirk and its ripple effects in American culture and politics. Joe Bob discusses the new National Day of Remembrance for Kirk, the partisan debate in Congress over his legacy, performative political stunts by elected officials, continued backlash over Jimmy Kimmel’s media exit, the global designation of Antifa as a terrorist organization, and lessons for America from France’s current economic turmoil. The episode is punctuated by passionate commentary, pointed humor, and a collection of listener emails, all delivered in Joe Bob’s characteristically blunt, irreverent, and conversational tone.
(Main segment: 02:44–12:51)
“October 14th, Charlie's birthday, will be a national day of remembrance and Charlie's name and legacy will live on… in the minds of the American conscious.”
— Joe Bob, (11:07)
(Segment: 15:36–26:13)
“Performative politics is dumb. It is stupid. I wish we didn’t do it, but also I hope libs continue doing it because it’s very fun to mock them for something that won’t actually make a difference.”
— Joe Bob, (25:10)
(Segment: 28:44–39:48)
“That is not government censorship. That is a business decision. And yet we’ve got even more people piling on…making this their Kilmar Abrego Garcia, choosing to die on a hill that is very comical to die on.”
— Joe Bob, (36:35)
(Segment: 42:20–52:34)
“Antifa a hundred percent is a domestic terrorist organization that is looking to topple the west and all of the values this country holds near and dear.”
— Joe Bob, (42:41)
(Segment: 43:50–52:34)
“Do not become France. It will be the undoing of us.”
— Joe Bob, (51:48)
(Segment: 55:18–61:25)
“I invited Charlie into my home five days a week from 11 to 1, almost every weekday for at least five years...he articulated things well beyond his years. Scary, intense, deliciously snarky...”
— Listener D (55:40)
(Segment: 61:18–62:53)
“We actually don’t hate everyone as they seem to. But the most hateful words coming out of the people that tend to say, we love tolerance and peace.”
— Joe Bob, (62:22)

“If you’re going to make the case that there was so much pressure that ABC couldn’t withhold keeping Jimmy Kimmel on the air because of the pressure from President Trump…then you also then have to say that the pressure from all of the powers that be in the lib universe took effect when they censored President Trump off of every single social media platform.”
