Good evening, America and welcome to the Monday edition of JUST THE news. No noise. I'm your host John Solomon reporting to you as always from the Nation's capital, Washington, D.C. my amazing co host, Amanda Head, she's still over at the White House. She's on poll duty today. They still have activities going on there. So she is reporting on the front lines. So I'll be taking the show solo tonight. Now with that said, President Trump made some more news on the Iran war today, characterizing the cease fire as quote, on life support, close quote. Amid a growing diplomatic rift between Tehran and Washington and the exchange of live rounds across the Persian Gulf. Yes, it's getting a little more heated over there. The cease fire hasn't fully dissipated, but it is clearly on a more uncomfortable ground now. That isn't the only thing he had to say about Iran. They also sent over a new proposal that is Tehran did to end the conflict. And let's just say the president wasn't very impressed. Have a watch what he had to say about it. Unbelievably weak, I would say, I would call it the weakest right now after reading a piece of garbage they sent us. I didn't even finish reading it.
Dr. Peter McCullough
They said I'm not going to waste my time reading it.
John Solomon
I would say it's one of the weakest right now. It's on life support.
Dr. Peter McCullough
They understand.
John Solomon
These are all medical people. Dr. Oz, life support is not a good thing. Do you agree? Diagnostic I would say the ceasefire is on massive life support, where the doctor walks in and says, sir, your loved
Dr. Peter McCullough
one has approximately a 1% chance of living.
John Solomon
All right, you get it. A bad diagnostic, I think is what the doctor said and he would be exactly right. That is where things are. We'll keep a close eye on that all throughout the night to see see if any more military action resumes. Meanwhile, we sanctioned 12 more companies that were involved in helping Iran get oil to China illegally in spite of the embargo. That's another tightening of the economic noose around Iran. In other political news, the state of Virginia, even though it misspelled its name and the word senator in its filing, asked the United States Supreme Court to intervene and to restore the election that had occurred to give Democrats 10 seats to one Republican in the redistricting party, gerrymandering, redistricting. They went to the Supreme Court. It's considered to be a long shot bid. Not a lot of belief that the Supreme Court will intervene. It could be the last gasp that Democrats in that state have before they have to live with the map they currently have, which is quite frankly, quite balanced, as most people know. All right, one more other story that we've been tracking very closely today. We have more on the Hunter Biden front. Yes, he's the gift that never goes away. Two Senate committees have obtained records from the Justice Department showing the government possessed evidence that Hunter Biden was possibly involved in potential prostitution related crimes. They had it as early as the fall of 2020, but they never pursued it. The statute of limitations ran specifically Senate Judiciary Committee Chairman Chuck Grassley and Senate Permanent Subcommittee on Investigations Chairman Ron Johnson said they had enough evidence to suggest that maybe Hunter Biden had violated the Man Act. Man. The man act, which prohibits certain activities in the transport of prostitutes or humans in the sex industry. The evidence includes financial records and text messages with some of the aforementioned ladies. The Republican senators say the records show that the government had plenty of evidence to pursue a potential, potential prosecution, but once again didn't. How many times have we heard that remember? They had evidence of tax violations. They didn't pursue it. Not until the whistleblowers came forward. They had evidence of gun crimes. They didn't pursue it. They had evidence of foreign pay to play allegations. They didn't pursue it. And they apparently had evidence that Hunter Biden was potentially involved in sex trafficking or certainly the trafficking of women who work in the prostitution business and didn't pursue the man act potential violations. Yes, the dual system of justice was very well alive over the last decade. That's one of the big headlines that we keep hearing time and again. All right, time to get to our first guest. Just a little while ago, I had a chance to sit down with Congressman Eric Burleson. He has got a brand new health care plan that is getting a lot of rave reviews up on Capitol Hill. Puts Republicans in the game on health care reform replacing Obamacare, which so many people are frustrated with. He also was a driving force in getting records out from President TRUMP on UFOs or as they now called unidentified aerial phenomenon. I asked them about something really exciting. Is there possibility that a government or government contractor has a access to a alien spacecraft? You're going to want to hear his answer. Haven't watched everything we talked about. All right, folks, for years it was a little taboo to be talking about UFOs or unidentified aerial phenomenon. But now we have a good reason to do it because President Trump has put out documents showing these things have been witnessed. There are actually things in the sky that we can't describe or explain. A big reason for that is the pressure from folks like our next guest, Congressman Eric Burleson from the great state of Missouri. Sir, good to have you on the show.
Congressman Eric Burlison
Good to be on, John.
John Solomon
All right. You fought hard and long to get these documents out there. And while it's hard to tell yet what we're ultimately going to learn from them, one thing is there's plenty to talk about. There's actually reason to be having these conversations, isn't there?
Congressman Eric Burlison
There absolutely is. Look, we've got these objects that are violating U.S. airspace, particularly over some of our military installations, some of our most sensitive sites, whether it's nuclear missile silos or our Air Force's military bases, they're operating with impunity. They seem to mess with some of our pilots whenever they're trying to do tests. And so we've got. These have been well documented. The truth is, though, I have no idea what they are, where they come from, and it appears that our government doesn't either, at least that's what they tell us. So it's worth investigating and trying to get to the bottom of this. These objects are often displaying characteristics that defy what we would call conventional flight. And so.
John Solomon
Right.
Congressman Eric Burlison
They're not operating like a drone. Whether it's helicopter blades or, or just. Just normal aeronautics. These things are displaying some type of physics that we don't exactly know. And so, so it's absolutely worth getting to the bottom of. And I'm glad that President Trump took the historic moment. He is the disclosure president, and he released, he ordered these files to be released, and they were doing a good job. This is the first batch, and hopefully there's more to come.
John Solomon
So I think a lot of people focused on, well, what was witnessed by the Apollo 12 and 17 astronauts and things like that. But I think you circled around the thing that may be most important, which is there are lots of experiences around sensitive sites in military that would suggest maybe someone is trying to find out what's going on at our most sensitive sites. How much more do you think we may learn about these in the next several months?
Congressman Eric Burlison
Well, there's some of the videos that I have seen that I hope that they will make public. Some of the briefings that I've had. I think the American people deserve to know and look John, I'm not seeing anything that definitively tells me that we have aliens from another planet. But, but, but it certainly is disturbing. And some of the, you know, some of the accounts are things that I think that we need the American people to understand that may that certainly there is a technological gap that we have with either our adversaries or with other. And so that's, that's, those are the kind of briefings and videos and evidence that I hope that this administration as, as we continue to the process of disclosure that they release.
John Solomon
Yeah, it's such an important conversation we're having. And after decades of really being denied any real sense of transparency on the issue, it is historic. I want to turn to something else. You have seized on a very important oversight issue, and that is when we fund something in the name of science, but really it's in the name of indoctrination. You've got another great example between the Department of Transportation and the National Science Foundation. Tell us a little bit about what you found and why we should all be disturbed about it.
Congressman Eric Burlison
Yeah, a lot of this just still remains of this climate bogus science. And in taking federal dollars and instead of trying to get to the bottom of things, they're really trying to use it to continue this narrative as though they're religious zealots on this climate scientists on this climate change front. And so I'm just, I'm drawing ATT it and, and seeing, you know, if why should we be funding this type of political advocacy group within that's really designed to just undermine, you know, America's strength, particularly in a time when energy and energy production is, is going to be extremely critical to our nation. We're being eclipsed by China and their, their robust effort to increase energy production. And so as a result, we don't have time to be focusing any federal dollars on this type of political rhetoric.
John Solomon
Yeah, it's amazing that we spent so much time and money on it and really got very little benefit for it. I mean, if we had just focused on nuclear and natural gas, we'd have a lot better environmental record than what the Obama Biden years delivered to us. Do you think there is a recalibration going on inside the agencies now with the Lee Zeldins of the world and the Chris Wrights? Do you see some reason for hope for the future?
Congressman Eric Burlison
I do, and I think that the letter that we sent was received very well by this administration that Russ Vogt is often looking for and always looking for opportunities to find places to save money, to save Taxpayer dollars. I know that Lee Zeldin is also an advocate for finding ways of cutting waste, fraud and abuse. And so this kind of information is very welco administration.
John Solomon
Yeah. Something else that's. Welcome to the debate in America. A new health care plan. You have introduced this. It's gotten a lot of rave reviews. The Great American Health Care Plan. Talk a little bit about how this puts patients first. What a unique idea.
Congressman Eric Burlison
Yeah. You know John, if we don't do anything, we're going to end up with single payer, which is what the Democrats and leftists have been wanting for, for decades and decades. But as we've had a taste of Obamacare or government one size fits all health care, I think that the American people have had enough. Obamacare is a proven disaster and people need a life raft from this sinking shift. And so that's what the, the bill that I've, I've filed that's called the Great American Health Care Plan or the Great American Health Care Act. It truly is, it's a, it's an opportunity for people to leave Obamacare and go to a private. So every American can have a health savings account. Right now it's very limited who can get a health savings account. But this would allow for every American the opportunity to be able to save away money tax free and be able to pay for their health insurance premiums of whatever insurance product that they want to buy. It also encourages people to be healthy with their dollars, not just be insured. So it encourages people to get a gym membership, to be able to pay for healthy foods, the Maha type of food, the unprocess protein and produce at the grocery store, thus making your groceries tax free. So that's kind of, I think to me that's a winning idea and something that is that I'm getting a lot of, a lot of positive feed up feedback on.
John Solomon
Yeah, prevention, what a good idea. Actually keeping ourselves healthy so we don't need our insurance is a great way to save money for all of us down the road. During the pandemic, I think a lot happened to create a one size fits all sort of health care system. The relationship between the patient and doctor got supplanted and all of a sudden the government was telling the patient what to do. Is this one of these moments now where what you're doing can help get the doctor, patient relationship and choice back into the hands of patients?
Congressman Eric Burlison
Absolutely. This would be a sea change in the right direction. This would be a large step in the right direction for bringing the healthcare industry back to A, a free market, one where patients are in control of their dollars. They're. When you go shopping with your dollars, the insurance company is going to start treating you like a customer. They're not going to treat you like some, some annoyance that they have to, that they have to deal with. The doctors are going to treat you like a customer. They're going to be transparent with their pricing because they know that you can go down the street to the next doctor or you can pick up the phone and call somebody else and get the prices that you deserve to know. And so I truly think that this will have a radical change on the healthcare industry for the positive. I mean, you suddenly will start seeing healthcare be more affordable and more available and you'll start seeing more creativity in the healthcare space.
John Solomon
Yeah, it's needed. It has been too much in one direction for a long time. I think people have gotten frustrated. Too expensive, too little choice, too little opportunity for me to make decisions about myself. And I think you've created a path that breaks that cycle down. It's going to be very interesting to see where Congress does in this. Before we let you go, I want to return back to where we started our conversation with UAPs. I've watched a few of your interviews recently. I've seen some other experts. There is some suggestion that down the road, if the President succeeds in getting anything declassified, that we may learn that a craft or two of very large size may be in the possession of a Western government. Should we brace for that sort of a disclosure down the road?
Congressman Eric Burlison
That's something that I'm trying to track down is where the craft that have been reported, where do they actually exist? What I think what's leading me, where the investigation is kind of leading me right now is a, either the, what are called FFRDCs or federally funded Research Development Centers, which are kind of these quasi government entities. Private, quasi, private, quasi federal government funded, whether it's organizations like RAND Corporation, Mitre Group, Aerospace Corporation, others, and then they, they then subcontract to a lot of, or they, they work the contracts for a lot of our private companies, whether it's Northrop Grumman or Lockheed Martin or Raytheon. All of all, somewhere in there, I think lies the, the truth and probably some of the crashed material that, that we've, we've heard reports of. And so I think that's where the investigation should go. That's where I'm directing or I'm telling the White House that they should be looking or at least make sure that they turn over every rock and every stone in that area.
John Solomon
Well, that's something you've been doing since the moment you got in Congress. We are always lucky when you're fighting for transparency because it usually results in a healthy dose of it. Congressman, great to have you on the show. Such a fascinating conversation. Thanks for joining us, my friend.
Congressman Eric Burlison
Anytime, John.
John Solomon
Yeah, what a great conversation, folks. A lot of fun things ahead. I don't know where they're going, but I know it's going to be an adventurous time. All right. Breaking news from Real America's Voice.
John Solomon
Welcome back America. Some breaking news out of the United States Supreme Court. The United States Supreme Court tonight cleared Alabama to move ahead with a redistricting plan that would get rid of two Democrat leaning districts because they are based on racial considerations, something the court has now said is unconstitutional. That is the latest victory in the courts for Republicans trying to win the redistricting battles that, by the way were started by Democrats a decade ago. But in the last year, Republicans are the ones scoring the win. All of that over just the news dot com. Go check it out. We'll keep you up to date on that Supreme Court ruling throughout the night. All right, we're going to turn to one of my favorite voices. Whenever a medical crisis or a medical issue comes up, he's a world renowned doctor. He's the Chief Scientific Officer at the Wellness Company. I like to say he's a guy that got Covid right when Dr. Anthony Fauci got so much wrong. He is Dr. Peter McCullough. Sir, good to have you back on.
Dr. Peter McCullough
Thank you.
John Solomon
All right, so there's a lot of hysteria in the media. 247 coverage of this cruise ship. And I understand it's an interesting story, there's some tragedy to it, but should we be concerned that hantavirus is about to become an epidemic or a pandemic?
Dr. Peter McCullough
No, we should not be concerned in terms of the general public. Let me give you a quick recap. On April 1, the MV Hondius takes off from South America. It's going along the archipelagos in the Atlantic, up the coast of Africa. They must have been rats or mice on board carrying the hantavirus. The virus must live inside these rodents. By the way, John, it doesn't, it doesn't stick to hazmat suits or other things. It's in the, in the animals. And then the people started breathing the dust where the rodent excrement and urine get in the dust. And they were breathing this in the ship cabins, in the ventilation system. First man dies April 11 on board. Now when they're taking his body off on April 24th with his wife there in St Helena, she gets sick and she dies. And then sadly, the third man dies, a German man dies on board on May 2nd while they're off Cape Verde, they won't let people evacuate the boat. Then the WHO gets involved and it's a complete debacle. The WHO gets on board, they lock people in their cabins and so they get more exposure to the rats and the mice and the virus in the dust, and then more people get sick. This is a complete disaster. They should have evacuated the ship immediately or at least get people up on deck so they can get fresh air.
John Solomon
Yeah, just a good healthy case. A dose of fresh air would have gone a long way in this case. There are several reminders of this. One is of course, your best to protect yourself in these circumstances because the public health system still seems to fail whenever we have a contagious disease. Covid isn't the only example of this. How is it that our public health officials, the so called experts, don't get it right, Even though you know what to do. You could have got this right.
Dr. Peter McCullough
You know, they don't follow the literature. They're very late. Our pandemic response, certainly at the WHO level, is deplorable. There's a paper by Toledo and colleagues in the Journal of the Infectious Disease side of America that demonstrated with the ANDI strain, which is what they have, it does not spread person to person, does not spread person to person. That the. The incubation period is probably much shorter than the stated eight Weeks in this case. People are developing this illness pretty quickly. Now, 30 people got off in St. Helena on the 24th. And they were smart. One man did get it. He was sick when he got off. He's a British man. He was hospitalized in Johannesburg and he's out of the icu. No ventilator, no dialysis. All the late cases now, the Americans and others. But American doctor, he's already been back, you know, for a week or more. They're fine. So the people now unfortunately imprisoned in these contagion units, one in Nebraska. You know they're going to be watched, but I don't anticipate anything is going to happen. This is a perfect chance to test some early antivirals. Both hydroxychloroquine and ivermectin have some activity if administered early. Corticosteroids may play a role. And they should all be using nasal sprays and gargles. If they would have done this all the way through, they could have reduced the viral inoculum.
John Solomon
Yeah, all things that you make available easily on the Wellness Company website. I want to talk a little bit about Hannah virus because we've heard about it now twice in pretty high profile episodes. Obviously the crew shipped the most recent one before this Gene Hackman and his wife were found dead. She died of hantavirus, Same sort of thing. Is hantavirus likely to become more prevalent or are these just two high profile cases in a normal trend line?
Dr. Peter McCullough
Yeah, these are normal trend line rare, high profile cases, about 50 cases a year. The reason why the mortality rate is nearly 40% is because, like in the cases on the ship and with Betsy Arakawa, Jean Heckman's wife, they get no care whatsoever. John. So, yes, it's fatal when there's no care and it's an overwhelming illness. Now, in Heckman's home in Santa Fe, they found rodent droppings and the virus everywhere. It was all in their outbuildings, even in their vehicles. So it's obvious that the rodents are the source of the infection. And in the case of the MV hondius, it wasn't tracked in on someone's shoes and it wasn't passed person to person on the ship. It's because the ship had some extra passengers on board, either mice or rats.
John Solomon
Yeah, that's how it starts. It's a pretty clear case. I want to talk a little bit about where we are in pandemic preparedness because this is just another reminder that we ain't, we still don't get it right. And I know, Dr. Jay Bhattachara is really starting to work on a revision and a focus on therapeutics and antiretrovirals and not everything. Putting in one basket of vaccines. Give us a grade. How far are we along? 15, 16 months into the Trump administration in turning a ship that's been pointed for most people in the wrong direction.
Dr. Peter McCullough
We have a long ways to go. There really are no significant advances in therapeutics. The division under the NIH that's responsible for pandemic response is Barda. Barda's been completely silent on this entire chapter here with the cruise ship. And we don't hear any innovation, even any innovative ideas from our CDC right now. Now's a perfect time to have these exposed people into clinical trials doing careful observation. We shouldn't be hearing about test positive PCR cases. There should be clinically defined hantavirus syndromes. Remember, the PCR tests are commonly false positive. So when they're not have any symptoms and the test is positive, it's probably a false positive. And I disagree with other commentators on mainstream media that say we should do mass PCR testing in the general population or start to do contact tracing. Remember, it's not spread person to person, so there's no reason to do contact tracing.
John Solomon
Yeah, that's a great point. I want to talk about something close to my own heart. I have an autistic adult son. And you on a regular basis call out the fact that we have such a prevalence of autism, but it doesn't get hardly the attention that so many of the other medical illnesses do. Why is it, how is it we could have. It's like 1 in 35, 1 in 36, 1 in 37Americans with autism. And. And it's not on the top radar of health officials.
Dr. Peter McCullough
Autism is a giant oversight by the National Institutes of health and the CDC. The CDC has an autism spectrum network, John. Sixteen centers, 25,000 autistic children carefully captured in these data sets. No therapeutic trials, no investigation into, you know, what are the determinants of what's behind this. And the CDC is just saying to plan for more special needs. So I think it's a very nihilistic approach. Let's hope with new leadership that we start to do two things. One, figure out what is driving this autism epidemic, and two, how to reverse it and get these kids back on track.
John Solomon
Such an important conversation. Before we go. I was thinking I'm going to be going on a cruise in August. There is something that we can all do to prepare for something. If there's an outbreak, whether it's norovirus antivirus, which is going to be unlikely, but if it ever did, and that is to have medicines with us that can start our own treatment when we're not in touch with our doctor. That's what your medical emergency medical kits are all about. Tell us a little bit about how those kits could be a great benefit when you go on a cruise.
Dr. Peter McCullough
Well, you know, my patients are asking me that too, John. So for starters, everybody should get the immune defense nasal spray and throat spray for sure have that as a first line. Now the kids, it turns out for the hantavirus outbreak, the most, you know, apropos kits would have been the black contagion kids for typical cruises where Norwalk virus and then infectious gastroenteritis are risks. Then the green, the forest green travel kit. You know, many people are playing it safe and you know what they're getting the big kit, which is the field kit, it has everything in it. That way every possibility could be covered. But if you're going to travel nowadays, don't travel without an emergency medical kit from the wellness company.
John Solomon
Yeah. It just keeps you from being trapped and away from your doctor and not being able to get any treatment like those poor people on that cruise ship. Probably experience. Dr. Peter McCalla, always a great honor to have you on the show. We always love when we learn something from you. Thanks for joining us.

Welcome back America. As we mentioned at the top of the show, President Trump mentioned today that the peace deal with Iran or excuse me, the cease fire is on life support. Not a good term to be using for that. Meanwhile, today the Trump administration sanctioned 12 companies that were helping China and Iran evade the oil embargo. And that is a significant act because President Trump's about to go to China to meet With President Xi here to break it all down for us, what's likely to lay ahead in the Middle east is a former adviser to the U.S. special Operations Command south, as well as a senior vice president at the Institute of World Politics. She is Christine Balling. Christine, great to have you on the show.
Christine Balling
Great to be here.
John Solomon
I've always had the impression, and I once negotiated with Iranian mullahs to get one of my captured reporters freedom that they don't usually say what they mean or mean what they say. Is Donald Trump learning that the hard way here?
Christine Balling
Yeah, he sure is. Although, yeah, I think the administration, generally speaking, got wise to the fact that the Iranians use lying as, unfortunately, an effective negotiation tool. So that certainly made it challenging.
John Solomon
Yeah, that's a great point. They do. In fact. In fact, it's built into the negotiating strategy by most people's accounts. Okay, so there are a lot of options here for the president. One is to resume military action to remind the defeated that they are still the defeated. Another is to walk away and say, hey, we won. We'll walk away for time being, see what happens. Third is keep everything status quo and keep the economic chokehold on them. Where do you think the president goes next over the next 10 days?
Christine Balling
Well, he's certainly going to keep the chokehold on. There's no way that he would authorize us getting rid of the blockade, unfortunately. I just do not think the irgc, who seems to be really in charge in Iran, is going to back down in any way, shape or form unless we hit them again. And it's very clear that the Trump administration is doing whatever they can to avoid that scenario. But I think it's going to be a necessity. Having said that, they are. Well, they probably won't do anything until President Trump finishes his trip to Beijing, during which time, no doubt, the two heads of state will be talking first and foremost about the situation in Iran, because, of course, China is their biggest, their number one customer, and certainly Iran knows that the customer is always right. So, you know, I think it's very natural that China in this sense might actually work with us in quotes, because it's certainly in their best interest to have that strait open and the oil flowing again. So I imagine that's something that President Trump has on top of mind as he thinks ahead to this meeting.
John Solomon
There are some fascinating and very polar assessments of what's going on. You've got someone like Fred Flights, former chief of staff to the National Security Council, saying, we already won, declare victory, leave Iran, decimate it and Back off. Then you got Robert Kagan saying, we're losing the Iran war. How are we to navigate such polar opposite views?
Christine Balling
Personally, I don't think either is true. Given that the President rightfully continues to insist that the Iranians cannot have the capability of producing a nuclear weapon. Although we've made great strides towards that objective. We haven't finished that job. Specifically, the enriched uranium is still in country now, albeit it might be several feet underground, but it's still in country. So that is one of the things about which Iran and the United States still must agree upon, is what to do with that enriched uranium. And vexingly, the Iranians this time around with this agreement they put forth that was not worth the paper was printed on, punted, saying, oh yes, we'll talk about all things nuclear after, you know, in 30 days, et cetera, et cetera. So it's not a done deal in my opinion, until that goal is achieved one way or another.
John Solomon
Yeah, I would be, I assume, where our military action might be focused in the future if he resumed. I want to turn to. You mentioned China paying a little bit of the price here with the blockade. It seems like Russia has to. Obviously Russia used to get a lot of its cheap drones from Iran that's been shut down a little bit by the destruction of factories. President Putin seemed a little bit conciliatory this week and suggesting maybe the end of the war in against Ukraine might actually be in the near future. What do you make of his comments?
Christine Balling
Not much. He's much like the Iranians. He's a very clever propagandist. I think he might be taking a page from the Trump playbook and playing nice, but I don't think there's any way that he's going to back down from his objectives in the Ukraine, despite the fact that hundreds of thousands of Russians have been killed and the fact that he certainly hasn't made the headway he expected to make even three years ago. And he's also, at the same time he's helping Iran. The Russians have been shipping goods to the Iranians to help them out via the Caspian Sea. So he's being a bit sneaky. As nice as he might want to play on camera behind the scenes, he's still the same old Putin.
John Solomon
Yeah, I think that's exactly right. One last thing. It does seem like the Ukrainians have had a decent spring thus far. Are you surprised by the resiliency and tenacity of the Ukrainians who you know, on paper out gunned, but have been able to hold the line remarkably well.
Christine Balling
Yes, it's nothing short of remarkable, the tenacity, the wherewithal of the Ukrainian people and the in the incredible technological advancement they made have made with drones. A few weeks ago, Zelensky, I think he was in Saudi Arabia to sell some technology to folks in the Middle East. So it's really remarkable and I certainly hope that they emerge victorious in some way.
John Solomon
Yeah, it is an amazing David and Goliath story. And obviously the US has helped a little bit, too, and the Europe has helped a little bit, but Ukrainian people have just dug down and kept fighting. It is a remarkable thing to watch. Christine, great to have you on the show. Love all the work you do.
Christine Balling
Thanks so much.
John Solomon
Yeah. What a great conversation. All right, folks, after the break, the redistricting wars come to Alabama. As you just heard, the Supreme Court cleared the way for that map. We're also talking about that SPLC case which is going to be in Alabama as well. We'll get to both of those right after these messages. Hey, folks, for 50 years, every barrel of oil on earth was priced in US Dollars. That's what gave the dollar its strength. It's what allowed your retirement savings to hold their value all these decades. That system is ending. Right now, 40 countries are actively moving away from the dollar. Iran is selling oil in one. Saudi Arabia is accepting one. Central banks are dumping dollars and buying gold at the fastest pace in 60 years. For the first time in 30 years, they hold more gold than they hold US treasuries. The institutions that run the global financial system are telling you exactly where this is headed, not with words, but with their actions. Meanwhile, gas went up from 298A gallon to over $4. Oil is up to 50%. And your dollars buy less every single month. Not because you did something wrong, because Washington spent this country into $39 trillion of debt and the rest of the world decided they've had enough of us American alternative assets. Put together a free report called the Dollar Reset. It breaks down what's happening to the dollar, why it's accelerating and how to protect your retirement before things get worse. Visit John Likes Gold.com to get your free copy or call 855-Gold-340. That's John Likes Gold.com that's my favorite site, by the way, or 855-Gold-340. The dollars 50 year safety net is gone. Welcome back America. It's hard to forget this, but Democrats started the redistricting wars really about a decade or more ago. Today, they're on the losing end of one after another decision. As you saw today, Virginia made a long stop, long shot stab at getting the Supreme Court to save its gerrymandered districts. A lot of people don't think that's going to happen. And then tonight, the U.S. supreme Court cleared Alabama to go Ahead and redistrict away two racially gerrymandered districts in that state. Here to break it all down, as a research fellow at the Heritage foundation and senior advisor at the Free Enterprise Initiative, he is Alan Mendenhall. Alan, great to have you back on the show.
Alan Mendenhall
Great to be here. Thanks for having me.
John Solomon
All right. The Alabama attorney general decided to get the Supreme Court involved. It kind of clears the way now because the Supreme Court got involved. Your reaction to what just happened in the last hour?
Alan Mendenhall
Well, it's amazing. I was just sitting back in this waiting room and I get the news that this has happened, but it's difficult to explain it in media race. You almost have to have a little bit of the backdrop. So the current map in Alabama is a federal court ordered map and it has two primary black districts and it was drawn expressly on race. It prioritizes racial quotas over neutrality. What had happened is in 2020, after that census, Alabama drew a new map and it was actually drawn using race neutral criteria. It used things like communities of interest, geography, county lines. Well, what are communities of interest? It's if there's shared economic interests or geographic features or transportation, print media, all that kind of stuff. So Mobile, Mobile and Baldwin counties down there in the Gulf coast or the Wiregrass region where Dothan and Enterprise and Troy are, that's in the southeastern part of the state. I was associate dean of the business school at Troy for a while. So returning to that map would allow the state to actually use race neutral districting. But there was this U.S. supreme Court case that happened in 2023. And in that case, the Supreme Court upheld a voting rights challenge and required a second district where black voters could elect their preferred candidate. So then a lower federal court imposed what is now the current map, a remedial map, and later issued a permanent injunction requiring Alabama to keep it in place until after the 2030 census. Well, while we were sitting here waiting for my little spot to come on, that is what the US Supreme Court has since vacated and said we need you to now issue a new ruling in keeping with our decision in Louisiana versus Calais, which was about two weeks ago, April 29th. And in that case, the Supreme Court held that Louisiana's congressional map, creating a second majority black district, which is exactly what the the second Alabama map did, was on constitutional racial gerrymander. So it sounds a lot similar. It sounds similar to the Alabama facts in which there was essentially a racial gerrymander. And so if you're predominantly using race to draw districts, then you are violating the equal protection clause. Last week, Governor Kay Ivey called a special legislative session and the Republican controlled legislature passed a couple of bills. The first allowed a reversion to that earlier map that I just mentioned if the courts would allow it. And that's what mobilized Steve Marshall, the attorney general, to take these actions that he took in seeking Supreme Court review. The second part that the legislature did is to basically allow for new special primaries in the affected districts because we have primaries next week. Next Tuesday we go and vote. And I say we because I'm in Alabama. I woke up in Auburn, Alabama this morning. I'm currently at the Heritage foundation in D.C. but this morning I woke up in my home in Auburn, Alabama. Before flying up here, I came all the way up here to talk about everything happening back home.
John Solomon
It's amazing. Meanwhile, Virginia went to the Supreme Court today. A lot of people thinking that probably doesn't have much of a leg to stand on. Your thoughts on the Virginia appeal today?
Dr. Peter McCullough
Yeah.
Alan Mendenhall
You know they're going to try to force the U.S. supreme Court to rule on issues of state laws. I just don't see there being much hope for the Democrats move there. I was pleasantly surprised by the Virginia Supreme Court last week and I think the decision will be upheld.
John Solomon
Let me go to another one that isn't on the radar right now. Prop. 50, the redistricting in California. When you look at the history and there's even some court rulings on this race was a factor when they, when they gerrymandered those districts in the election earlier this year. Is that one that the Justice Department or someone could go successfully and challenge under the Louisiana caliberly, it's certainly possible.
Alan Mendenhall
Now, the one thing that gives me pause, I want to say immediately, yes, but the one thing that gives me pause is that first Alabama Supreme Court case that was in 2023, Alan, vertical versus milligan was, it was, that was only three years later that we get clay. And so, you know, it's hard to predict what the Supreme Court's going to do, but I certainly think it's worthwhile. If California is predominantly using race and drawing districts, then that would be a violation of the equal protection clause under calais. So I certainly think it's suspect.
John Solomon
Yeah. There's a judge who ruled so preliminarily back in January, it'll be interesting to see if that case gets resurrected. Alan, as always, great to have you on. For folks who want to follow your great work at the Heritage foundation, what's the best way to stay in touch?
Alan Mendenhall
Well, you can just Google my name. Alan Menenhall. There's ww.Alan Menenhall.com and go to the Heritage Foundation. I'm up there too.
John Solomon
That's awesome. We appreciate all your great work. Thanks for joining us tonight.
Alan Mendenhall
Thank you very much.
John Solomon
What a great conversation. Wow. So much. So much history unfolding before eyes in the region District Battles all right folks, one more block to go. We'll talk about Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's social media representation or his claim that social media misrepresentations behind Israel's declining popularity in America. Talk about that interesting idea right after these messages.

Netanyahu attributes the reputational harm to Israel almost entirely to social media, which he calls the eighth front of the war.
John Solomon
Because it's this. This is yours, right? You're not immune either, because you can penetrate this machine, you can penetrate this, this little instrument, and you can say about Major Garrett anything you want. And I can paint you as a monster.
Dr. Peter McCullough
And if I say it often enough,
John Solomon
enough people will believe it. What a powerful exchange. In that interview is Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanu, Right. Is the social media and tech world a reason for the decline in U. S. Israel support in America? Joining us now to answer that question, the managing editor of our Media Research Center's newsbuster site. I love that site, Curtis Hopp. Curtis, good to have you on.
Curtis Houck
Yeah, good to be with you, John.
John Solomon
All right, you play referee. Is Netanyahu onto something here?
Curtis Houck
I mean, I think so. I mean, I just love the visual aid, bringing up the phone there. My colleagues at Free Speech America point out, you know, with the iPhone, every iPhone has Apple News on it. You know, every Android phone has Google News on it. And they shovel all kinds of negative stories, whether it's Al Jazeera, the BBC or even just the American media, the New York Times as well. It's a proliferation of hate. And through this as well. The other thing, John, is this generation, unfortunately, my fellow millennials and zoomers and now Gen Alpha or whatever you call them, they love the visual and they rely on the emotion instead of like reading a book or like actually learning something in grade schools and universities. And instead they read like Tom Friedman or something stupid like that instead of, you know, instead of like Dennis Prager's book why the Jews? Or any number of books that are actually constructive when it comes to the history of Israel in the Middle East. Instead, we get things like this.
John Solomon
Yeah. All right, so we have a young generation inundated by Apple and Google News to lean to the left. Then they've been predisposed, probably through their teachers unions in their public schools, to lean to the left. How do those who want to preserve the US Israel relationship, how do those who just want a more accurate debate on this policy, how do you prevail in a system that is so skewed to the left?
Curtis Houck
It is all about education. It starts with each and every one of us. It doesn't require you to have a lot of money. I mean, you got to use that old school thing with like bookmarks that you have on your web browser. You got to have sites like just the News and News Busters bookmarked and Real America's Voice. You have to have them saved. You have to know these basic facts that you can recall them as though you're not just simply spouting off a speech that it's rehearsed. It's things that you just know in your heart of hearts and be able to explain the history of Israel, explain the evils of Islam, radical Islam that has become so. That has proliferated across the globe and in circles among the left. The kind of people that actually would be thrown off the buildings first in Gaza or Tehran, actually. So I think that's what it comes down to. It goes down to each and every one of us doing what is necessary. Because as we saw, if we don't, we all speak up. We can, you know, we see what happens. The hunter buying laptop. We all both know this personally, what happened six years ago. Those kinds of stories can be suppressed. And when it comes to, I feel like genocide, you can't get more important than that in terms of a story being suppressed and the importance of facts getting out.
John Solomon
Yeah, it's so true. Before we let you go, got about a minute left. The media has had a hard time describing these redistricting wars. They've cast it all as Republicans. Republicans are trying to gerrymander, but Republicans are just simply countering something that began a decade ago, Democratic gerrymandering. How bad is the coverage been?
Curtis Houck
I mean, it's been terrible. They framed it as, you know, a fight of the civil rights movement, which makes absolutely no sense. It's not grounded in reality. You look at Massachusetts, Illinois, Maryland as well. You look at this, this mid district, mid decade gerrymandering or redistricting fight began with the Hochelmander after they didn't get the math they wanted. After the 2020 census, they had one in 22. They threw it out for 2024. That eliminated four Republican seats. So the left, you know, is tying it back to what we were just talking about with Israel. They are also historically illiterate. I would argue many of them purposefully illiterate when it comes to what's going on with redistricting here. It is a gambit that James Blair and President Trump waged. A lot of people had doubts about it. I mean, I wasn't sure if it would work either, but they are definitely the biggest winners thus far in electoral politics. 2026.
John Solomon
Yeah, and maybe more decisions still ahead like Alabama today. Curtis, real quick, how do people get to NewsBusters?
Curtis Houck
NewsBusters.org download the NewsBusters app on Apple and Google Play to counteract Google News.
John Solomon
I've got it on my phone. I love it. Curtis, great to have you on. Thanks for spending some time with us today. All right, folks, that's all we got for you tonight. We'll be back tomorrow. The commander will be back in the chair. That's good news. In the meantime, we're going to hand off to the one and only Grant Stitchfeld. You're in good hands for the next hour. God bless you.
