Hello, everybody, and welcome to this episode of true crime time for Thursday, May 28, 2026. And I'm Woody Overton. You got Cindy yesterday. You get me today bringing you the true crime time stories you may or may not want to hear. But hashtag what happened to Madison again, y'. All. I'm gonna keep saying it every time to open it. 313 rlrctip and you're gonna get to hear from Ms. Lynn this week and some updates on the case. But keep calling in your tips. It's working. Being worked. Let's bring these women home. Okay, so without further ado, let's get down to it. How about May 28th? I'm pretty sure that's the day I graduated from high school in 1988. So. Long time ago, right? Well, I'm going to tell you what happened on this day in 2009. Dude named Patrick Bolan was discovered with multiple stab wounds in Piedmont park in Atlanta, Georgia. There was no apparent motive for the murder, but it was believed to have been committed by someone who was looking for sex. I told you all about the parks and the glory holes and all that and guess what happened. Another stabbing took place just 15 minutes later a few blocks away. And to this day, nobody knows who did it. So you're going down to the Glory hole and getting hot in there. You might get your ass stabbed. All right, let's see. I have something I want to tell you all about. This is kind of, I guess we'll do it under. It's time for effed up professionals. We do it under FW professional. And this is not such a crime per se, but it could have been because of what could have happened. And this is why you don't do this. So federal judges, right, they get appointed and they're there and you know, they're drawing their, their shit forever. I don't, they don't have a retirement age or anything else. And now to get appointed a federal judge, a lot of times, yeah, it's a political thing. And it's not like you're running for the office. You get appointed and you're there until you die or you quit or whatever. And so it's pretty prestigious thing. And I got judges in my family, numerous of them include my godmother and my grandfather and my baby sister and what have you. But none of them were federal judges. But this I'm going to tell you about a federal judge, and they don't give the name. This from Fox News, a federal judge who's married. Right? Married, living your best life, sitting on the bench, ruling on federal cases. Well, this married federal judge repeatedly had sex with a law enforcement officer inside courthouse chambers. All right, well, pretty sure you could get away with that if you were kind of a little bit discreet. Well, this judge really wasn't because when they did in their chambers, meaning they were banging in the chambers. The. Yeah, federal judges all have clerks and they all the cases that come before them. The clerks review the cases, research the case law and do all the stuff and write, basically write the opinions for the federal judges. And you know, federal judge, a pretty, pretty sweet gig, lifetime gay. But this fellow judge was banging away while clerks worked just outside the office door. Well, some point somebody went, told on fellow judge, stick with me. They went and told on the federal judge and when confronted about the judge said, I've been having no sex in my office. This is according to the judicial misconduct report. They said multiple clerks overheard kissing sounds, moaning and other sounds consistent with sexual activity coming from the judge's private office over a period spanning roughly two years. And this is in the judicial complaint filed in the 11th Circuit Court of Appeals. All right, so Pretty high up there. The judge was. But one clerk reported hearing the. All right, so move the grass. The judge was banging a cop, and a high ranking cop at that, in the. The chambers. But they did not. But one clerk reported hearing the officer say the word affair, while another described being so disturbed by the noises that they. That the clerk left work for the day. Let's talk about that for a second. The. I mean, everybody has sex. We're all here because two people got together and had sex. Right. If you get so disturbed because your bosses is banging in office, I get they shouldn't be doing it. That you left work for the day. I'm pretty sure that's that you just want that day off. But the. The report doesn't provide the name or gender of the U.S. district Judge. I'm assuming it's female, and I'll tell you why in a second. So the judicial complaint goes in. Y' all like these people. God, I've had to deal with them. They. They just would go. It's like internal affairs for a police department. They go in, they just rip your to pieces and interview everybody and everything else. But you got to deny it, right? Well, investigators found the judge engaged in gross lack of judgment by conducting the affair with a prominent police commander whose department regularly appeared in federal court, which created what the panel called the possibility of conflicts of interest or the appearance of impropriety. Now, again, the judge initially denied the allegations, calling them outrageous and baseless. I'm pretty sure it's a female judge, y'. All. And the judge suggested that the law clerk fabricated the claims in retaliation for workplace discipline. Oh, that. I wrote him up one day. And that's why they're saying they were hearing the slapping and the. The juicy noises from the chamber. Well, investigators reviewed the courthouse security footage. Remember, they're going to dig deep, y'. All. That's all they do. And they work it like a homicide. They not only reviewed the security footage, they. They reviewed the sign in laws, which you go to federal court, you got to sign in, sign out, and I mean very, very strict security. And they interviewed former clerks before the judge realized the gig was up and admitted to both the fair and having sexual intercourse inside chambers. All right, you're caught. Well, the report also found the judge attended a partisan political event tied to a district attorney's campaign and later made false statements to Chief Judge William Pryor and the court's chief district judge during the investigation. Like deny, deny, deny. Right. Until you can't. Well, the problem is. And it really could be a problem that this is how people get blackmailed and this is truth. The investigator says the judges conduct distracted staff, damaged workplace morale. I don't know about that. But the distracting staff. Yeah, if your boss is banging two feet behind a closed door and making noises, I mean I probably would have recorded on my phone for not to blackmail him just because it had been funny. But the, the damaged workplace morale and risk undermining public confidence in. The judiciary. Report further warned that the undisclosed affair left the judge and I agree with this, vulnerable to potential blackmail because the relationship was hidden from the judge's spouse and colleagues. Well, it's true. Somebody, maybe mafia or somebody could have found out or you know, and blackmailed them and the cop included. Right. They're married. They don't want it found out. Well, all this goes on. They waste all your taxpayer dollars because the judge is banging away and they did Dick. They only gave the judge. The judicial council issued a private reprimand and the judge also agreed to apologize to six former clerks and give up any future opportunity to serve as chief judge and indefinitely refrain from serving on judicial conference committees. So what does the judge get, Dick? Literally and figuratively. Right. They, they get still get to be a federal judge for life. They just can't rise any higher than they are and you know, they're not giving up that paycheck. There, there you have it. We'll start out a little bit different today. All right? I'm, I'm going to go out and this is not political at all. I just think this is crazy as fuck. You know, we're telling you about all the big shootings and everything. Memorial Day we go on out to Seattle and remember they out there, they wanted police free zones and giving away needles and all this shit. And you can do all the dope you want to. They actually weren't enforcing the law and all the stuff. Well, how do you think that's going to work out for you? Well, let me tell you what's going on in Seattle a couple of years later.
B
Folks on one crime ridden street in Seattle have begun putting up barricades to try to stop criminals who have turned their neighborhood into, into a war zone. Residents who live on Aurora Avenue say it's being plagued by shootings and they say nightly gun battles are pushing them to the breaking point. We're just afraid that somebody, that a neighbor's going to have to die before the city will do something.
A
It's terrifying to live here and it's even more terrifying that the city is Absolutely doing nothing to protect the citizens in this neighborhood. The police need to be able to arrest these guys and it needs to be applied in the courts. The judges need to apply to the strictest measure that's allowed for these pimps, for the men behind the sex trade to pay for their crimes that are spilling into our neighborhood violently.
B
And to make matters worse, the violence has been spilling onto other blocks. One family says bullets from a drive by shooting tore into their house and stopped just feet from their sleeping baby. Locals claim they have repeatedly contacted police and the mayor's office, but little has changed. Mayor Katie Wilson's office says the recent gun violence is deeply unsettling and their public safety staff met with members of the community to hear their concerns. They say the city remains committed to improve the safety and the quality of life in the area,
A
y'. All. So in the video, you may, may or may not could have heard it, but the. There was a lot of gunfire and everything. And I read some more about this and one night there were over 40 spent rounds. And they have, these motherfuckers are on camera, they're shooting across the street at each other. And the police responded at some point. There were over 40 spent rounds or empty rifle casings. These are shooting it out like the wild, wild west. And the, these residents, now these, remember, these are the same ones who wanted to do away with the police and send social workers when, when he had any kind of problems to solve all this. Well, how'd that work out for you? The barricades. So we're gardeners, right? We got a big ass garden, but the mine's in ground. My buddy has his in these big round tin things like kind of like cow troughs, feeding troughs for water. And they have these barricades now in their streets blocking off vehicles from coming in. And these are these some nice homes. I'm pretty sure I've just moved the fuck out and I first of all move out of Seattle. But if you got to take it upon yourself to put up barricades to block any traffic coming through on a public street, you might want to consider electing SENU officials or moving. And what's the legality of blocking off the streets? The cops can't even get to you when the sugar turns to shit, right? Well, it is what it is. I mean, I, I want to get home to my house and, and I don't want you putting up barricades. And I would like the police to be able to get there if it gets bad, right? Whatever. New world, new times and new shit all the way around. Now I'm going to tell you about we're going to North Carolina and this is again why you never give up the art. I know most cold cases never get solved, all right? And that's just a fact. Less than 1% and the longer they're cold, the, the less the chance to have it being solved. But we're going to North Carolina and there was a infamous double murder. And guess what? They finally, after 20 years, almost 20 years, they arrested a D. They arrested someone 3,000 miles away from where the killings took place. And a guy named Johnny Stephen Talbot, who's 43, was taken into custody all the way across the country in Port Angeles, Washington and escorted to the Concord Police Department. Now Talbert faces two charges, a first degree murder and another for armed robbery. He's currently in jail without bond and Washington and was waiting extradition back to North Carolina. Let me check real quick. Yep, North Carolina has the death penalty. So Concord police called the arrest a major cold case breakthrough. And it came almost 18 years after Donna Barnhart, who's 59 and Daryl Knowles, who's 44, were shot and killed at the city's Sundrop Bottle Co. Facility on June 13th of 2008. Now unsolved case became known as the sun drop murders in until now detectives were unable to locate the suspect or a suspect. Now Barnhart worked as an office manager at the Bottle and Company and Knowles was at the facility that day to apply for a job and both were pronounced dead at the scene. The detectives believe the gunman failed, shot both of them, stole some money from the facility's front office and ran like a little in a composite sketch of the possible suspect was released several months after the Murders using physical descriptions provided by witnesses who said they saw a man leaving the site of the shooting on foot. Well, police said investigators received numerous tips, but they still cannot find them. That's why you got to call in your tips, because it's sooner or later this can be the right one. Detectives continued to submit evidence for testing as new technology developed in the years that followed the murders. Late last year, police finally got a break in the case. They said through a meticulous re examination of evidence and the pursuit of previously undeveloped leads, detectives uncovered critical information that ultimately led to Talbert's arrest in this court of the Concord Police. Concord police shared their findings with Port Angeles Police Department in December, and they went to port Angeles on May 18. Concord police stressed the investigation remains active and said they would not be releasing additional information to protect the integrity of the case in a pursuit of justice for Donna and Daryl. All right, that's why I don't, I don't tell you 99% of what I know because you don't want to get out. Maybe it's, it's things only the killer are going to know or the cops are going to use. And they don't want these, this Talbert to have time to explain away whatever evidence they have. But Barnhart's. The family thanked the police department for his dedication, professionalism and perseverance. And they said for nearly two decades, investigators and supporting personnel demonstrated an unwavering commitment to seeking answers and pursuing justice. Their persistence, integrity and tireless efforts ensured this case was never forgotten. The resolution of this investigation has brought long awaited answers and a measure of peace to our family. While time cannot erase loss or hardship, we are deeply grateful for the compassion, diligence and determination shown throughout this process. Well, y', all, let me tell you about that. The 18 years. I'm pretty sure whoever caught this case to begin with is retired and sitting on the beach somewhere or doing whatever you want to do in retirement. The cases go cold. Cops never have new cases stop hitting their desk. But at some point, somebody calls in a tip and says, oh, what about this? And then they're like, oh, we have some evidence. Go review that and see what we have on that. And guess what? There's some evidence to back up what was said. And then they retest. Evidence, physical evidence, and guess what? Cold cases get solved. 18 years, this was running around free, right? Like David Anthony Burns. 18 years. Got away with murdering Courtney Coco until you lifers brought it home. And there you have it. Just tickles me to death anytime I see A cold case get solved because you never give up, never surrender. It's time for family matters, y'. All. I never got to know my grandmothers, either one of them. They're both one of them died when I was 7. Well, I guess I got to know her but I can barely remember and the other one was dead before I was even born. I cannot imagine killing your grandmother. I see how my mama is with her 20 plus grandchildren and now great grandbabies and just such love and she worries about them. The, I mean God forbid you tell mama something about one of the kids that they're going through and she's just, you know, will make her sick about it because she loves him so much, right? And now we got our first grandbaby. She calls me popo and just, you know, adore her and pray for all day every day but. So what do you think would make you kill your grandmother? Well, we're going to New Jersey. And authorities say that Lewis Brown is 18, killed his grandmother Darlene Brown inside a Jackson Township home after police responded to his call, his 911 call reporting the murder. So again, this 18 year old new Jersey man is accused of killing his grandmother. But listen to this. After police responded to the 911 call and they discovered the 69 year old woman dead in an upstairs bedroom. That would be bad enough, right? It got worse when they look at her and she's got knives, plural, protruding from her face. Knives, plural. So Lewis Brown is 18, of Jackson Township, was charged May 18 with a murder, possession of a weapon for an unlawful purpose and unlawful possession of a weapon in connection with his grandmother Darlene Brown, who was 69. When police responded to the residents on Justin way at about 7am after they received the 911 call stating that someone had been murdered and the it was Brown that made the call. When the cops got there, they found Brown standing in the front door of the residence and he exited the home with a his hands up and naturally he was immediately arrested or taken into custody and detained until they went upstairs and saw the knife sticking out of grandma's face. And that's what I'm telling you about. Inside an upstairs bedroom, officers discovered Darlene Brown dead with apparent stab wounds to her face and neck. They also observed two knives sticking out of her head. And Mr. Brown, the grandson was transported to Ocean County Jail and that's where he remains locked up. Isn't that crazy? I mean, come on, man. Bro, you bet that. That's another thing. Kids raping women and abusing elderly people, although 69 is not that much older than me, but every in prison's got a Grandma and about 90% of them wish they could see him. They find out you stabbed your grandma to death in the face, I'm pretty sure he's going to have a hard time in prison. Let's give you another joyful matter. It's time for family matters. We're going out to foreign. Is worldwide, knows no ethnic or country boundaries. Right. We're going to the land down under and around 11:10pm local time on Monday, May 25, emergency services were called to a property in Queensland where they found a child unresponsive. The child was declared dead at the scene while two other children in the property at the time were not injured, they said. It was a terribly confronting scene for those responding. According to Detective Inspector Michael Manigo in the Brisbane Times. That and a postmortem examination will be conducted in the near future to establish greater clarity around the how the child died. While I'm giving it away, right, so they respond there's one dead child in the house, two are living. The children's mom is identified as 31 year old Jesse Renee Phillips and she has been charged with one count of murder domestic violence against a child. According to Queensland Police, Phillips was the only adult in the house at the time of the child's death and her deceased four year old daughter has been identified as Cleo Rose Catarall. They said I'm not going to get ahead of myself with what some motive or potential motive may be. It's the early days investigation and that's according to law enforcement. But as forensic investigators were seen at the family's home on Tuesday morning, Police Minister Dan Purdy described the scene to reporters as horrific. Said it's tragic for the family, it's tragic for the community, it's tragic for the frontline police and merge service that went there. Well the said in a press conference that a timeline of events is being established to determine how long Mama waited to call in the report. Her daughter unresponsive to emergency services quotations. It's always terribly tragic when someone loses their life, especially someone so young in the community. It was a terribly confronting scene for those responding. Well, I can testify that that the worst things you're going to respond to are the ones for kids are dead. But this cop says that all three children found in the house were biologically Phillips but they have three different baby daddies. Right. The two uninjured children are both under the age of three. Police have not Publicly confirmed that the family was known to authorities before the incident. And Phillips is scheduled peer in court. Blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah.

I don't think Australia has a death penalty, but if you kill your baby, you don't deserve to breathe. In Woody Oton's world, it's time for family matters. Going out to Toledo. I'm pretty sure I don't want. Well, I know I don't want more than one wife in polyamorous, right? Well, a lady in Toledo, she was busy, y'. All. She had been in a polyamorous relationship with six people. Six people. And now she's been sentenced to prison for more than 20 years after she ordered the assault of one of her boyfriends. The 29 year old woman who's identified as Martina Esqueta, was sentenced to 22 years in prison in Lucas County Court on May 21. She was sentenced for being the ringleader behind the assault of Austin Macklin. Now Michael Esquita, who's Martinez husband and several Several of her boyfriends including McAllen, Aaron Austin Branchaw, Chance Johnston and David Cessna all live together in a house in Toledo. You think it doesn't take all kinds to make the world go around. You are the only female and you got six dudes living with you in the house. And I don't know if the dudes were banging each other but they were. I mean she was definitely getting it on with all of them. So they said. The 29 year old woman ordered her boyfriends to take McKellen to the Red Roof Inn in Maui where they beat him with fist and baseball bat for 10 days. 10 days. He suffered multiple broken bones and was deprived of sleep and food and this cord into the Toledo Blade. Well Esquita was the mastermind behind the entire operation. This is the woman that's getting it on with all six dudes and living in the same house. And they said she was given direct orders to her boyfriends to be an assault the victim, she was sentenced to eight years the first degree kidnapping and seven years each for two counts of second degree assault which all will be served consecutively. His husband received a 16 year sentence for the same charges the other men were serving burying sentences while Cessna, one of the boyfriends is scheduled to go on trial in the last week of May. All right, let me tell you about it real quick. So McKellen told police that the ordeal began after a dog fight broke out at Esquita's home when he and the 29 year old attempted to break up the brawl. She suffered a broken arm in the chaos. Well instead explaining what truly happened eskita falsely accused McKellen of breaking her arm is in the police reports the claim sparked her lover's brutal revenge. McKellen was rescued only when his captors allowed him a brief trip to nearby Speedway convenience store on March 21, 2025. This court and Fox 8 the local Fox 8. Let me ask you this, you're whatever. I don't know if y' all getting it on same time, six of you together, you take turns or whatever but they take you to a hotel after this arm breaking incident and they've been beating you for 10 days and they decide at some point it'd be a good idea to let you run down to the local Speedway convenience store and get a pack of smokes. I'm pretty sure, I'm pretty sure I'd have called 9112 so they did it. They let him go to the Speedway convenience store. And during that moment of freedom, he managed to contact someone who then called his mother. Motherfucker. Why not call the cops? The. But Lisa called his mom. Or had his mother called his mom? I don't know. She didn't call the cops. First. She rushed to the Red Roof M to rescue her son. And then the police were finally called to the scene. Officers obtained warrants and placed the hotel under surveillance. Right. Pretty sure somebody's in there being tortured and beat. You can go in and hop or suit, but whatever. They obtained warrants, placed hotel under surveillance and later arrested all six suspects before they could flee the area. McKellen was rushed to the hospital with injuries covering his entire body. Yet they thought it would be a good idea to let him go to the local convenience store. I guess he was going to get a Slurpee or something, y'. All. I don't know. Anyway, the victim said in a letter read in court on May 21 that he still suffers from nightmares about the ordeal, and I'm sure he does. Said none of this would have happened had you not been the ringleader or mastermind behind every bad thing that happened to me. This is what he wrote, and he's reading to the female. She didn't look like a female, but he said he was forced to stay in the home, and he never did anything to any of them or the animals living in the house. Well, Scrata's attorney argued that the woman had been sexually abused as a child and spent her late teens in foster care, which left her unable to form healthy relationships. And he said she does not understand love because she has never felt it. And what the people who were supposed to love her, supposed to support her, supposed to help her grow, they broke her. Well, you guess what? That happens to probably a million kids a day, and they don't grow up and have six other lovers in their home and be the guy for 10 days and let him go get a Slurpee. I mean, defense attorneys got to put up a defense, I guess. But in a statement to the court, esqueta admitted to McKellen that she should have been a friend when he needed her, instead of knocking you down when you were already down. That's what the stupid said to the local paper. The, you know, figure it the fuck out. Now you're going to prison. I mean, what kind of. I'm pretty sure there must have been some meth involved here, y', all, but who knows? It's time for worldwide crime Foreign. I'm pretty sure I'm never going to go to China. But I tell you, I don't have to look on the map. China will execute your ass. Right? And I'm gonna tell you about a dude who got executed, all right? A former gaming company executive has been executed in China for murdering his billionaire associate Xu Yao Poison Yozu Game founder and Lingq's Food in December of 2020 because they had a dispute over being sidelined despite him helping the tycoon land a Netflix deal. Now Zoo was later detained after Lynn, who's 39, died on Christmas Day. And guess what? He was sentenced to death in 2024 after being convicted of Lynn's murder. Now if you were in the United States and anything to worry about, he he'd probably be dying. Prison, natural causes. The before his appeals were exhausted. But five foe fuck around and find out in China how their appeal process works. So. So there you have it. You kill your billionaire boss in 2024 and we're not even halfway through 2026 and you are executed. You gotta give China a shout out on that one. Although we don't want any innocent people executed. And I get that. But I don't know if it's still like that. But China used to execute you. One bullet to the back of the head and they build your family for the bullet. So there you have it. It's time for effed up professionals. Racism sucks. Doesn't matter who's doing it against whom. It's stupid, right? And whether it comes from ignorance or just you were raised that way or whatever, it doesn't matter. It sucks. It's stupid. Don't do it. Right. I don't judge people by the color of their skin or where they're from. I judge them by how they treat me. And racism would really suck if you are in this position. But I mean if you're looking for a job. Right now the Commerce Independent School District is looking for a director of operations. This is Texas, y'. All. And this Texas school district, the the rescinded an offer to another candidate. You know why? Because they dug into his background and they found racist text message that went viral. And the picture posted on X shows a man typing a message, someone named Bo. And here's what it said. That and I'm quoting the text. Ask her if she's got over that huge crush she had on me back in the day. Ha. This what Bo, right? Man, Hispanics everywhere. Every other name is Mexican. We are being overrun. ICE needs to raid this graduation the man replied, well, Commerce ISD identify the man on Facebook as Sam Day, whom they had recently hired be the director of operations. I just had to sit through hours of graduations this year as everybody does. Can you imagine the head on the stage that's shaking all the hands and people coming across thinking the N word or. Or spicks or whatever. Whatever. So WFAA reported that it tried to reach out today for comment, but he said he's seeking legal counsel. I bet you are. And they deleted most of the social media because it got found out. They said Commerce ISD takes great pride in the diversity of our students, staff, families and community. This court and district. The district statement. So we consider diversity to be one of our many strengths. Well, his text messages got out for whatever reason and naturally people are upset. Were upset in quotations. Texas was part of Mexico for decades in the early 1800s. Before that it had been under Spanish rule since the 1600s. And the only person who needs to be deported back to where he came from is this bald white guy. That's what one person read on X. And according to Texas Tribune Lone Star State's population is roughly 40% Hispanic. And that was back in as recent as 2022. They said this is how you stand against bigotry. Not many districts will do the right thing, especially during today's climate. Well, I'm this Shannon Dixon wrote that on Facebook. Another person wrote, lol, bro, life just went in the shambles. And this, that's a guy named Anthony Pedro wrote that. No quotations. You're doing the right thing. There is no place for racism in schools. The diversity in our society is part of what makes this country. Diversity is in our school books. Yeah, they just go on and on and on. The material about day real quick. So the local news report that Day is a veteran and has worked at several North Texas school districts. Most recently he was the director of Transportations and grounds at Cattle Mills isd. I guess this independent school district said the district sent WFAA the following statement after they were made aware that a former employee used derogatory language. Said we want to affirm that this type of behavior does not reflect the values of our schools or our community. We remain committed to supporting every student, every staff member and maintaining a safe, respectful learning environment. Well, you know what? This dude's a idiot. And literally you just got hired as a director or whatever for schools and you're making racist comments about the kids and saying ICE needs to come raid them and shit. I'm pretty sure you're unemployed and now unemployable, right? As you should be. All right y'. All, that's all I got for today. I love and appreciate each and every one of you.
