Woody Overton
Foreign. Hello, everybody, and welcome this episode of True Crime. Time for Tuesday, April 1st, and I'm Woody Overton.
Cindy Overton
I'm Cindy Overton.
Woody Overton
April Fool's Day. Is that the big deal? Wow. We ended March already in April, the fourth month of the year. We've been doing this since November now.
Cindy Overton
Yeah.
Woody Overton
So that's November, December, almost six months. I know there's a little anniversary in there for you. What's going on in the world? Who knows? A lot.
Cindy Overton
A lot's going on.
Woody Overton
A lot in. We're going to lay down some more stories for y'all. Thank you for liking and listening and sharing. We appreciate it and we appreciate every review and all that. Good podcaster.
Cindy Overton
Yes.
Woody Overton
Right.
Cindy Overton
Yes.
Woody Overton
So April's warming up. Grass is getting high. It's raining every day. Can't cut it.
Cindy Overton
It's your least favorite time of the year.
Woody Overton
Is my least favorite time of the year. And I haven't even been turkey hunting yet. But. But maybe we'll bowl some crawfish. That'll make it a little bit better.
Cindy Overton
Yeah.
Woody Overton
All right, let's get down some true crime. Time for Taco Tuesday.
Cindy Overton
Oh, my goodness.
Woody Overton
Taco Tuesday.
Cindy Overton
It's like.
Woody Overton
It's a miracle. We having tacos tonight.
Cindy Overton
You have tacos? You will turn anything into a taco.
Woody Overton
Tacos. Tacos and popcorn and hot sauce.
Cindy Overton
Oh, my goodness.
Woody Overton
Not all together, but.
Cindy Overton
Well, you would probably. Do I probably. Corn tacos.
Woody Overton
All right. What you got for us, mama?
Cindy Overton
I've got an update on Luigi.
Woody Overton
The guy that killed the insurance is that. He's always there. That him? Ruby Frank, the girl from Louisiana?
Cindy Overton
Yeah. Gypsy Rose.
Woody Overton
Gypsy Rose. These people are in the news over the guy. The guy that killed all the students. And I'll probably even talk to. They are always in the news. I mean, like, when you research in true crime, these people, I guess, people, it's like the Scott Peterson case. Thankfully, I just got done recording this week's episode and probably only have a couple more on it, but they are forever there. And I guess people are just really interested.
Cindy Overton
They are very interested in it. And as we know that in December, Luigi Mangione was arrested at a McDonald's in Altoona, Pennsylvania. Right. Following a tip from an employee.
Woody Overton
Right.
Cindy Overton
And this employee, of course, recognized him and alerted the police. And as we all know, he's a. You know, he shot the United Health Care CEO Brian Thompson outside of a hotel earlier that month. And he faces charges of murder and terrorism in both New York state and federal courts, having pleaded not guilty to the state charges. With no plea entered yet at the federal level. And I just don't understand that. If we, if, if you, if you did it, why cost people so much time and money? It. We all know he did it. He knows he did it. Like he left a note saying he did it and why.
Woody Overton
It's called the U.S. constitution.
Cindy Overton
I understand that you have a right to, but why would you. What I'm saying is why is Luigi want the right to a trial?
Woody Overton
If I'm, if I could figure that out, I could probably stop crime. That there's no figuring criminals.
Cindy Overton
I guess not. Well, there's no figure in this either. According to a letter from Mangione's attorney to the presiding judge after his arrest, he expressed concern for the McDonald's employees safety, stating in quotes. They aren't going to put the cashier from McDonald's information out there, are they? It wouldn't be good for her. A lot of people will be upset. I was arrested because he had such a cult.
Woody Overton
I mean, yeah, I've seen like he's been getting love letters and shit and oh yeah, people trying to smuggle and stuff in and all that.
Cindy Overton
I mean the day after, the day, literally the day after they arrested him, Tick tock was full of these girls going all over like, I mean like just fixated on this kid like I'll.
Woody Overton
Be his girlfriend since the beginning of time. People, certain people, you know, just have the like and for the criminals, ask all the ones who marry the criminals in jail or Ted Bundy's, you know.
Cindy Overton
All the women, whatever, did what they did for him. So this letter was intended to counter prosecution claims that Luigi's actions had led to threats against witnesses, suggesting instead that he did not wish harm upon anyone. Notably, Luigi has received support from individuals critical of of course, the health insurance industry. The McDonald's employee who reported him may be eligible for a reward of up to $60,000, despite initial rumors suggesting otherwise. The FBI's $50,000 reward requires nomination and approval by the US Secretary of State. While the New York Police Department's $10,000 reward is contingent upon a conviction and may be divided among multiple contributors. Both rewards are subject to taxation. You shouldn't be taxed on that. You're doing something. I have a hard time with all of this. Authorities alleged that upon his arrest he was found in possession of a 9 millimeter ghost gun, a silencer, multiple fake IDs and a manifesto critical of the health insurance industry. And he remains in federal custody awaiting trial. And his attorneys continue to challenge aspects of the prosecution's case, including claims of your. And you always say this, they're claiming that there was illegal DNA collection methods used but you always say if you're going to come, come clean, make sure you do everything.
Woody Overton
It doesn't matter. They, I can almost guarantee you that they have the DNA collection. Correct. They're still going to try to challenge it to get it thrown out.
Cindy Overton
Okay.
Woody Overton
And every search warrant or whatever that I ever did, they, they said oh he did it incorrectly and try to challenge on this aspect of that. And they of course it's a free shot for them.
Cindy Overton
Yeah.
Woody Overton
It's free shot for them to find out what exactly 101 and challenge it and pray the guy, the judge will throw it out. It's not going to happen.
Cindy Overton
Yeah.
Woody Overton
So I don't know. I, he. The dude had bad intentions and that's the way that it is.
Cindy Overton
Yeah.
Woody Overton
So we shall see. But he is always in the knees. Just don't bring it and report it over and over and over again because whatever. But people are interested in it. But now let's do a. It's time for worldwide crime. You and I like to travel a lot. Right. Love, love, love travel, love travel out of the country and everything else. And we're not quite this old were in our 50s and that there were two Americans, they're in their 60s and they went to the Netherlands and I should report on this last week, but they went to the Netherlands, you know, hang out and do what tourists do. Right. And on Thursday March 27th and they unfortunately these two Americans are among five people that were injured during a stabbing attack in the Netherlands. Right.
Cindy Overton
There's no guns in the Netherlands.
Woody Overton
Exactly. People want to kill, they're going to kill, they said. On Thursday March 27th police received several reports of a stabbing incident just before 3:30pm broad ass daylight local time in the St. Nicholas strat in the city center of Amsterdam. So Right. Where everybody goes, the tourists and everything else. It said five people were found injured following a serious attack. I don't know how to be not serious about a knife but a serious attack in and around the area with large parts of Dam Square having to be cordoned off because of the police investigation. Now among the Victims are a 67 year old woman and a 69 year old man, both who are American nationals and a 26 year old man from Poland, a 73 year old woman from Belgium and a 19 year old woman from Answer. He's just going after anybody, killing anybody in the crowd. And this is place, I mean this is Europe. It's not like Times Square where there's a whole bunch more room. These are small centers that, I mean, they, they inspected to be as big as it is now. Right. So you could pretty much slash anyone you wanted to. They said the attack lasted for several minutes before the suspect was stopped by a passerby.
Cindy Overton
Thank goodness.
Woody Overton
And the suspect was overpowered by bystanders before the police arrived. And this according to ABC News and the BBC. Everybody in the world covered it. Right.
Cindy Overton
Right.
Woody Overton
And he was taken to a hospital with a leg injury. So somebody stomped on his ass even though he's taken to the hospital. The motive behind the stabbing is under investigation. And police are saying it might just be a random attack. How the fuck do you figure that out? But police are considering the possibility that the suspect may have randomly targeted victims. But the exact motive remains unknown. They said the first priority of the investigation is to establish the identity of the arrested suspects and give them their name. A possible identity is known, but due to a variety of documents, this needs to be investigated further. And it is known that he is registered at an Amsterdam Hotel on March 26. So the day before.
Cindy Overton
Yeah.
Woody Overton
But witnesses told the local newspaper Day Telegraph that the suspect seemed to be stabbing people randomly while running. I said the police investigation is in full swing and is currently the highest priority, is what the mayor said. We hope to gain clarity soon about the background of this horrific stabbing incident. And our hearts go out to the victims and the families and the loved ones. Pretty. You know, they're not saying right off the back that it's terrorist attack or anything like that. It might just be a nut job, but might be a terrorist attack.
Cindy Overton
Hiding his identity and staying in.
Woody Overton
Yeah, I don't. I mean, I agree with you. I mean, I don't mean sitting there slobbering naked in the square, not knowing what he did in that job. I mean, 103m like some kind of like this asshole that killed the insurance guy. I mean, obviously he had criminal intent, but obviously a sane person. Totally sane person. Not insane. Legal defense mode. But totally sane person doesn't do that kind of shit. Right, right.
Cindy Overton
Right. So I think stabbing is one of the last things I would do. And I mean, unless I had to like to protect myself, I don't think I would. I would not want to feel stabbing.
Woody Overton
It's a very up close and personal thing.
Cindy Overton
Yeah. So you can not worry about that with me.
Woody Overton
Yeah. Put on body arm when I go to sleep.
Cindy Overton
I know I'm not. I say it in jest. And I know certain people take offense to that, like making fun of killing each other. Yeah.
Woody Overton
But there ain't a married couple alive that hadn't thought about killing the other one at some point in time. I mean, it just in the heat of the moment. Not that they're ever going to do it.
Cindy Overton
Yeah.
Woody Overton
I don't think about, oh, I'm gonna get a gun and shoot her in the head. Yeah. It's like I don't believe in hitting women. You know that sometimes I would. I like to slap the out of you. Sure would. Sometimes. Would you like to slap the out of me? Sure. You would, right? Be honest.
Cindy Overton
Oh, I'm not gonna deny it.
Woody Overton
For sure.
Cindy Overton
I really just like to put some duct tape on your mouth sometimes.
Woody Overton
Yeah. Well, I'd love to do the same to you.
Cindy Overton
You. I have something really quick to tell you that. I have something I want to tell you about. Top Fan. We've been dealing with a little bit.
Woody Overton
Of Top Fan is the company that. Who. Who built our real life real crime community app for us, which you can download for free in the app store.
Cindy Overton
So we've having. We're having a few little technical issues on something that Kevin cannot figure out is we're just so he has a. Of course a whole tech team behind him. Right. And one of the guys is traveling. He was in India during that recent earthquake and Kevin's like, they're on FaceTime together and Kevin could see like everything in the move wash and he's like still on the call, like, well, we're going to look at this and we're going to look at that. And Kevin's like, you were in the middle of an earthquake, dude. Like just, let's just hang up and go get somewhere. That's the dedication of our Top Fan team.
Woody Overton
I always like to watch this camera footage videos from like inside convenience stores and. And everything's falling off the shelves, man. I like to watch it. But it's interesting.
Cindy Overton
It is so interesting.
Woody Overton
We don't have mine. I. I guess we do technically have some earthquakes in Louisiana, but we. It doesn't register.
Cindy Overton
No.
Woody Overton
Concocts.
C
Multi gig.
Woody Overton
Not where you could feel it. It registers on the earthquake meter, whatever the thing's called.
Cindy Overton
So what would you do? What is it called? The paid what? Only fans. So girls or guys, whoever. On Only fans. If you have a subscription. Apparently like you can pay people that you subscribe to amount of. Amount of money to do something and then they have like the feet one. I don't know what it's called but something feet or feet. Something where they. People ask you to put your feet like in spaghetti or make them as dirty as possible or whatever. What would be your fetishes? Yes.
Woody Overton
Well, they have more than. I'm sure, more than feet. I'm sure they have everything in the world.
Cindy Overton
Yeah. But the feet thing is becoming a thing because people are like, well, I'll show my feet for a couple thousand dollars. Like, who cares? It's just my feet. But at what point would you like, what would your limit be? Someone contacts you and says, hey, Woody, I want you to blah, blah, blah. What would your limit be?
Woody Overton
Depends how much money it is.
Cindy Overton
Well, it's $20,000.
Woody Overton
You ain't getting a whole lot for 20,000.
Cindy Overton
Right, right. Okay. Well, this girl in Florida had a different perspective. She's from Ocala, Florida. Her name is Logan Guminski, and she's 27 years old. And she was arrested on March 21st and charged with engaging in sexual activity with an animal.
Woody Overton
What?
Cindy Overton
The Marion County Sheriff's Office initiated an investigation on January 28 after receiving an anonymous tip about a video posted on Instagram depicting her involved in sexual acts with a dog. What kind of dog?
Woody Overton
I don't know. Chihuahua. Oh, my God.
Cindy Overton
Detective Jordan Batt uncovered multiple photos and videos during the investigation confirming her Kamansky's involvement. And she is identified as a content creator producing sexually explicit material for sale, admitting to creating the disturbing video, reportedly receiving $500 for it, and. And disclosed that she is engaged in similar activities with another dog.
Woody Overton
Oh, my God.
Cindy Overton
So she's done this other times. And she is released on a $10,000 bond, but for $500 she had what, a Chihuahua? With a Chihuahua.
Woody Overton
Okay, my brain is blown on that one. How the fuck you think you can get away with that? 500 get away with it though. I mean somebody do. Somebody is going, look, I. I tried in the past to like even get into only fans to log in because we talked about so much on show and chat. I never could. Yeah, I don't know if my phone has a block on or something, but I would reckon you have to search by categories. I would think you're going to use research, bestiality. And they got a bit saying, I'm let my chihuahua I got me or eat me or whatever they doing.
Cindy Overton
I don't know.
Woody Overton
That is disgusting.
Cindy Overton
Disgusting.
Woody Overton
That is disgusting. Yeah. That is pathetic. And Whoever paid the $500 needs to go to jail too, for sure. So. Well, let me give you a. It's time for effort of Professionals, y'all. Wait until you hear this one, okay? You know, cops brotherhood and all that good stuff. And most people. Well, I can't say a lot of cops just want to be regular cops and never aspire to lead and all that or move up in the ranks. And there's nothing wrong with that. But this one guy in New Jersey, he worked his way up, became the police chief.
Cindy Overton
Awesome, right?
Woody Overton
Well, it was awesome until the people beneath him. Several officers have accused him of harassment and inappropriate behavior.
Cindy Overton
Oh.
Woody Overton
What, might you ask, can Robert Farley, who's the chief of the North Bergen police department, what, might you ask, could he have done to warrant such allegations? Well, the focus is of several notices. Sue. That were submitted by officers of the township of North Bergen, which is first step in filing a complaint against the employer in the state. But they said, Farley, it's not funny. It's just fucked up, but it's funny. Farley has fostered a workplace environment characterized by inappropriate behavior. Now, cops are pretty much notorious for inappropriate behavior.
Cindy Overton
Well, yeah, dark. You have to have that.
Woody Overton
But not like this motherfucker. Right? So inappropriate behavior and so called practical jokes that are demeaning, demoralizing, and targeted. This, according to Lt. Alex Guzman. Now, this is Chief. Yeah, this is the top. No. Right. So he said these actions not only fail to meet the standards of professional conduct, but also appear intended to humiliate the M.E. and other victims. I guess, Lieutenant, the LT was one of them. But a town spokesperson told NBC News the township of North Bergen has a full confidence in chief Robert Farley's leadership of the North Bergen Police Department. And we strongly denied. I'll get to the allegations. We strongly deny these false and outrageous allegations made by disgruntled officers who are resorting to attacking the reputation of a dedicated public servant to further their own selfish goals. And again, I'm gonna get to it. Just stick with me. They said in order to avoid the appearance of a conflict of interest, because we are fully confident that these claims will be proven false, we have proactively referred them to the Hudson county prosecutor's office for review. That's called pass along the political eight. Right. But the township of North Bergen, which oversees the police department, didn't respond or make any comment. And the New Jersey attorney general's office told People magazine in a statement it cannot comment on any proposed or requested suppression of a law enforcement agency. But anyway, this is what Farley allegedly did. The notices accused Farley, who was sworn in as police chief way back in February 2024. Of interfering with health and safety standards at the office. By you ready? Adding in prescription medication including Adderall and Viagra in the office. Coffee. Which calls staff to inadvertently experience side effects of these substances without their consent. So I know you're laughing. Might have been Adderall and Viagra.
Cindy Overton
That's the two last things that a cop needs.
Woody Overton
Right? Exactly. Listen, it's not done yet.
Cindy Overton
It's not funny.
Woody Overton
Officers were subjected to harassment and intimidation. He would also defecate on the floor in front of his entire office staff.
Cindy Overton
He needs to.
Woody Overton
And wait, wait, wait. And leave feces on the bathroom floor with the intent of having someone unknowingly step in it. What? This is a chief of police, Right? Farley was also accused of ordering officers to. To complete his daughter's homework, which was described as humiliating. He also allegedly once jabbed another officer in the genitals with a hypodermic needle.
Cindy Overton
Oh my.
Woody Overton
This. He needs to be in jail if he did all this. But they might be lying. So we don't know. The versus sign. But not done yet. The notices claim he would also damage the items in his office, Including a TV and picture frames in fits of rage as well as other officers personal property by breaking pins and smearing ink on uniforms and vehicle door handles and office equipment. You do that too. Put ink on there so they get on themselves. Yeah.
Cindy Overton
Yeah.
Woody Overton
Actually seen that happen. The harassment also extended to their families. Officers claim saying that Farley would deliver inappropriate items to the officers homes, including gay pride flags, dildos, and masturbation cream. Laughing to the microphone. If you go laugh. Wait. Gay pride flags, dildos, and masturbation cream. Which were seen by the officer's loved ones. Now this is not gonna make you laugh. How much you think chief Farley's making a year?
Cindy Overton
$30,000.
Woody Overton
Farley earns more than $228,000 a year. Yep. And he heads an apartment of more than 120 officers.
Cindy Overton
How did he get chief of police? You don't just start doing that once. You're cheap.
Woody Overton
Oh, man.
Cindy Overton
You don't just start.
Woody Overton
And it may not be true. The. The township has said it. You know it's not true. We're going to do whatever. Whatever. It's discriminant employees. But you know what? That's a lot of man.
Cindy Overton
He's an asshole. On the floor.
Woody Overton
Shits on the floor in front of everybody. Shits in places in the floor. In the bathroom where, you know somebody's gonna step on it. Jab a dude in the balls with a Hypodermic needle Viagra and Adderall and the coffee get voice force you to do and Dar's homework drop off mashed mason cream dildos and gay pride flags Br and some of that has to be true. You wouldn't think or they got a. A group of disgruntled employees who are.
Cindy Overton
What makes them disgruntled that much. He has to be an I don't.
Woody Overton
Know why this hasn't made national news.
Cindy Overton
I don't either.
Woody Overton
That's why you hear it on it's on national news. True crime time. Time for. Because it is just absolutely b. I mean stupid.
Cindy Overton
That would be like a dumber and dumb. The reason why I'm laughing is it's horrible because it's potentially real. Right?
Woody Overton
Right.
Cindy Overton
But if it was a dumb and dumber movie those would, you know if it was in a slapstick comedy those things would be hilarious.
Woody Overton
Super troopers.
Cindy Overton
Yes. Or airplane. You know like that would be funny.
Woody Overton
This is real life.
Cindy Overton
This is real Life.
Woody Overton
He's making $228,000 a year. That's what out figuring in his vehicle in health insurance and he's probably making 300 grand a year.
Cindy Overton
Well, he's got too much time on his hands too.
Woody Overton
Well, if he did it, he is innocent until proven guilty. And you know what? I think I'm just going to be a hog today and steal it because I have another story I've been wanting to hog and another story and then guess what? I'm sticking along the lines of it's time for effort of professionals. We need to call Roy and Kristen and kristen@la funeralservices.com and petcriminatory.com are people over there in Bruce R. Louisiana underneath the giant American flag. I want you to message them, tell them to listen to the story.
Cindy Overton
Okay.
Woody Overton
I'm sure somebody there is listening. When I went over to visit they had stuff everywhere and everybody was fans. But check this out. We're going to Greenville, Mississippi.
Cindy Overton
Wow, that's Isn't that close.
Woody Overton
Not far. About four hours is in the Delta in Greenville. Well, the police have been a little busy and it wasn't for Louisiana funeral services, but it was for another one. They found three bodies in a storage unit on Wednesday, March 26th. Police did okay. And the police say that the former owner of a funeral home began using the local storage unit to continue hosting funerals and burials after he lost his business license. So stick with me.
Cindy Overton
Okay?
Woody Overton
So I mean you lose your license.
Cindy Overton
You lose your license to do funerals.
Woody Overton
Well, you Know why that's a. It's you. Everybody's going to go through it. It's a very serious thing. And roaring Kristen. Kristen. And like they are the ultimate professionals. Everybody that works there. Ultimate professionals. This loses her license. Still going to do it and. But you're going to do it out of storage. What kind of discount you think they were given? Let's continue.
Cindy Overton
This is why you go to.
Woody Overton
Exactly. Police in Greenville, Mississippi say they have arrested Albert Cre and charged him with improper desecration. Let me. If you did that to my loved one that died and I found out you just threw them in a fucking store. Slocker.
Cindy Overton
Right.
Woody Overton
You don't catch an ass beaten. Yeah, I'm gonna go to jail. I'm gonna take that misdemeanor charge. But I'm gonna punch you in the mouth when you get to court or more. Yeah, exactly. Unless I take them to murder by you. But anyway, they. They arrested Albert Cree and charged him with improper desecration of corpses. And this according to the Delta News and WLBT and WAPT secrecy. He's the 31 year old.
Cindy Overton
31.
Woody Overton
Right. Former owner of Creith Memorial Services in Greenville, Mississippi. Now y'all look, Greenville ain't that big of a place. They said he could face additional charges as an investigation unfolds. According to the Washington County Sheriff's Department Chief Deputy Billy Barber. Now, Barbara called Crease alleged desecration of the bodies and isolated incident. Okay. Doesn't change it. He said this is an isolated incident from somebody just not doing what they were initially assigned to do with these corpses. Now Creef, who ran Creif Memorial Services, previously used tick tock to advertise his business, calling his funeral home the hallmark of professional services.
Cindy Overton
Do you have a stick to handle?
Woody Overton
No, I do not. Okay. All right. And several posts were viewed by People magazine. Again, the TikTok pages shares images of dead bodies inside their respective caskets with emojis pasted over faces. Several posts were marked sensitive by the social media app, including one that shows the face of a dead body and their name displayed on the poster board next to the casket. Tik Tok you. They censored my dragging dead hogs down the road. You let this post dead bodies in caskets with their names on it. That and I mean, I guess it goes viral. Like the Humping the Chihuahua. They got people in the dead bodies. But they said another post appears to show the inside of a storage unit which Kief describes as his casket warehouse. And wait. And his second home.
Cindy Overton
Now he lives among them.
Woody Overton
Deputy Barbara told the Delta News that police believe the bodies were discovered inside the storage unit during an attempted burglary.
Cindy Overton
Who was going to rob a body?
Woody Overton
I don't know. But, I mean, you know, if I'm going to rob a storage unit, I'm pretty sure I'm going to sit there on a Saturday on the first of the month and watch, see who moving in the best. And I'll rob their. I'm not going to rob one full of caskets. And they happen to have dead bodies.
Cindy Overton
But they sometimes get buried with jewelry.
Woody Overton
They understand that. And I know about grave robberies. You have no fucking idea. Nobody knew these people were even in there. Their family's not going to put a $50,000 gold watch on their arm and not know where the body is. Let me finish the story. Chief Barber says deputies had actually been to that particular storage because they had reported some burgers. So there's a chance the burgers could have actually ran upon it, but we don't know. Local authorities confirmed in the social media post that they found the bodies inside the storage unit on the night of Wednesday, March 26, in Greenville. Mayor Eric D. Simmons later made a statement calling discovery deeply disturbing. You think the discovery of human remains in a storage unit in our city is deeply disturbing and raises serious concerns that demand a thorough investigation. My thoughts and prayers are with the families who may be affected by this tragic situation. Well, you know what? I'm pretty sure if you get kicked out of your mortuary and how the. The coroner is the one that brings the bodies to the mortuaries or they go pick it up from the corner, I don't know. This one blows my mind. Simmons says Green Mill is a community that values dignity and respect and the rules of law. And we would not tolerate any actions that violate these principles. Well, guess what? This violated just about every one of those principles and dignities and everything else that ever been heard of. Yeah, I mean, it's crazy.
Cindy Overton
That is crazy.
Woody Overton
Look, I. I'm gonna jump you again, okay. Earlier in the show, we're talking about. These people are in the news constantly. So Bryan Coburger, right? Kill all. Allegedly killed all the four students in Idaho. Big story. We covered it back in the day and everything. And, you know, even before they knew who'd done it, I was covering and everything else. But they have like so many different articles just today about this guy. Different.
Cindy Overton
Is there something that new.
Woody Overton
I'm gonna read you something every day. Comes out about him. It's always like small, but it's, you know, it's just like serious. It's top of the line. Everybody wants to hear about just like Ruby, Frank and that insurance. Let me, I'm gonna put, try to put these two together and end it on this. So Brian Coburger, there's a lot of things going on. One of them is the prosecutors are filing that they would introduce to show the defendant's knowledge of crime scenes and remember, he studied criminology and all that. But they are looking in. Prosecutors are looking into potential new evidence in the case of Brian Coburger, who's the man accused of killing the four University of Idaho students in 2022. And the court documents filed this week, prosecutors indicated they were seeking to include one of Coburger's college assignments. He had to do an assignment and I told you he studied criminology, whatever you want to call it, Criminal justice, whatever. Guess what the name of the assignment was? Crime Scene Scenario Final. Right, Right. And they're, they're going to introduce us. They want to introduce it as part of this. And this has been on Good Morning America and everything else in the world. This, this dude, like the turd that won't flush. But according to the outlets, the 12 page paper which detailed a case involving a woman who was stabbed to death at a trailer park was created by Kohlberger when he was studying criminal justice as a grad student in DeSales University in 2020. So not long before it happened, prosecutor's office noted in their court filing that there were similarities between the case that Coburger wrote about in the Idaho murders, including ding, ding, ding, ding, the murder weapon, which was a K bar knife, surveillance video and collection of DNA. And he also wrote about the use of protective clothing to avoid contaminating a crime scene and leaving behind fingerprints. Right. So prosecutors wrote in the filing and this according to the Seattle Times, that the assignment would be introduced to show the defendant's knowledge of crime scenes. Well, he's a graduate school for criminal justice. But in the court filing submit it. Prosecutors also noted that Coburger purchased a black baklava, which is. There's actually another story just about this back of a. That I was going to do later. So now I'm going to incorporate them together. He bought this mask, right. And it's designed to expose only a small part of the face. But he bought it on January 10th of 2022, which is 11 months before the murders took place. He also purchased a combat style knife, which is the KA Bar, which I have A couple of them, right? Which is the one they issue to all the military to put on now as the bayonets, okay? And they're killing us. Made strictly to kill. They're not for hunting, not for skin and shit. They are made to kill a motherfucker. All right? But he also parts the combat style knife, which I'm telling you is a K bar. Eight months before the murders. Now, Coburger excuse, then this part I'm not going to take lightly, and hopefully I don't get the names wrong again. But Coburger is accused of murdering Madison mogan, who was 21, Kaylee Gun Calvis, who's 21. Zana Carnoodle, who was 20, and Ethan Chapman, who was 20. And the four were found stabbed to death inside the Moscow, Idaho home that Mogan, Calvis and Carnival shared with two other individuals. Now, the probable calls affidavit, which was released in January of 2023 after Co Burger was returned. I hope remember his daddy came and got me all ass cross country, revealed that one of the surviving roommates said they saw the killer. The roommate described the figure clad in black clothing and a mask which would fit with the bacophone. She had drawn the mask, which only showed the intruder's eyes. And when asked what the murder suspect looked like, she also noted the person she saw had bushy eyebrows. And this dude seriously needs to trim his eyebrows right now. Here's the kicker. A sheath with Coburger's DNA was found at the crime scene. Right? And that's according to New York Post. However, Coburger's attorneys are arguing that he has developmental disability that prevents him from carrying out the speed and coordination to carry out the murders. Get the fuck out of here. That's one I've never heard of. His lawyers also claim that he exhibited behaviors that are symptoms of autism Spectrum disorder and that he suffers from obsessive compulsive disorder. Well, guess what? I do, too. But I didn't kill four. I'm on both of those. But I didn't kill four college students in Idaho. In May of 2023, Kohlberg was indicted by the grand jury for the murders of the four students. And he stood silent as the court waited for his plea. And the judge ultimately had to enter the plea of not guilty for him. He wasn't saying. Right. And his trial is actually set for August, which would be three years after they were brutally. The four students were brutally stabbed. I'm sure there'll be another continuation. You know what I called it? The Anyway, it doesn't matter. Go back to when. Listen to before they caught him and everything and I called it. It was going to be somebody that they had one of them in spurn before, what have you. And. And they got him all the. This evidence and they got him in the area with his cell phones and his little lawyers are trying to sell. That wasn't his cell phone. Then he turned his cell phone off during the killings and whatever dude knew what he was doing. His problem was there is no such thing as a perfect crime.
Cindy Overton
Right.
Woody Overton
And he's. He took four innocent young people who had just been doing what college students do, blowing off some steam and you know, having a few drinks or whatever, and he killed them all. And he. I believe he would have killed that last one had he not left the sheath and he just. He started tripping out, right? Yeah, but I mean, you kill four like you said earlier about stabbing. Come on, man. And that's a big ass knife. And that's. That's horrible. Can you imagine being the guy in the bed with the girl and waking up or the girl waking up and the guys being stabbed to death and knowing your necks.
Cindy Overton
Yeah.
Woody Overton
In the middle of the night and this cat's in all black. That is evil. You know what, I need to check it right now. Hadn't done it today. Does Idaho have the death penalty?
Cindy Overton
Here's what I found.
Woody Overton
Death penalty was established in Idaho in 1864 before it was a state. Since 1864, Idaho has carried out 29 executions. 1901 executions moved to Iowa State Prison. Da da da da. Prior to that excuse carried out on county level and were off to public and blah, blah, blah. So as of right now that they're doing the same thing that Louisiana was saying, they ran out of the drugs and all that. But in 2024, the state Idaho fails to execute Thomas Creech after an hour attempts establish. They said they definitely still got.
Cindy Overton
Okay.
Woody Overton
They may not have perfected, but they got it. But if anybody deserves to catch it, Coburn deserves to catch it. And this is one I would actually like to go to the trial for.
Cindy Overton
Yeah. Well, do you think that he started with them or do you think he.
Woody Overton
Oh, no, I think. I think he started. I think he's been fantasizing about it forever. I'd be very surprised if they don't have more documents that are going to be introduced. They're going to like probably give the defense the 400,000 page document. Oh, you want your discovery? Here it is, motherfuckers. We might Use some. All of it or none of it.
Cindy Overton
Yeah.
Woody Overton
And they're probably going to have shit like this paper coming out about how to handle a crime scene and blah, blah, blah. I have to believe maybe hard. Maybe he did it from public libraries and shit because he's that kind of intelligent.
Cindy Overton
Yeah.
Woody Overton
I mean, look, because you're autistic, I mean, that usually means you're super intelligent in some way. Right. I think that he's going to have a lot more, and I think the very.
Cindy Overton
You mean a lot more bodies, a.
Woody Overton
Lot more things that are going to be leading up to his crime.
Cindy Overton
Okay.
Woody Overton
His fantasy of the crime, the murders. And then it wasn't what he turned out to be. Right. Like a rapist starts out masturbating, peeping. Time to. That doesn't work for him anymore. And then you break in, steal some panties, and that doesn't work enough anymore. Then you figure, oh, maybe she really wants me. Right. And then you go in and do the rapes. But then they progress if you're smart. This guy, do I think he would have still done it had he got away with it? Oh, yeah. Yeah, I think. But I don't see him having more bodies on him. I think he was probably just coming out of a shell and this was his big sore.
Cindy Overton
Yeah.
Woody Overton
And then he. In his mind, he was going to go on and do it over and over again. He didn't rape anybody. He didn't do anything.
Cindy Overton
Yeah.
Woody Overton
He just wanted to take lives.
Cindy Overton
Yeah.
Woody Overton
Plural, Right. Mass murder. There you go. Mr. Coburger, I. You know what? I don't know. What did it say? The trial was in, like, August or something.
Cindy Overton
I think you said that.
Woody Overton
Me? But you know what? I don't know how much it costs to get to Idaho. I probably drive up, go up. I would like to see. It's going to get delayed. They. I would like to see the motions suppressed and all that real time.
Cindy Overton
Would they. Will they lock that trial? I mean, why would they lock it?
Woody Overton
It's a public trial. It's not kids.
Cindy Overton
Yeah.
Woody Overton
And I mean, they're kids, but they were in their twenties.
Cindy Overton
Yeah.
Woody Overton
Old enough to die for your country. You. It's a public trial.
Cindy Overton
Yeah.
Woody Overton
And they could put his ass to death.
Cindy Overton
Well, like with Scott Peterson. There were so many people out there, they had to draw numbers every day to see who could get in to see.
Woody Overton
Yeah. I'm not saying it's not going to be packed. Every reporter in the world is going to be there. But if I can go, it won't be Every reporter in the world who's actually worked homicides before.
Cindy Overton
Right.
Woody Overton
I could just record it from right there.
Cindy Overton
You could.
Woody Overton
Anyway, that's it, y'all. Thank you for tuning in. And you want me to go cover the Co Burger trial? Put something in the comments on our social media.
Cindy Overton
I'm sure people want you to do that.
Woody Overton
Yeah, definitely. I'm not gonna ask for a GoFundMe or anything, but the. I don't know how, you know, like Louisiana. Murder trials, the longest I ever had was like 10 days.
Cindy Overton
Yeah.
Woody Overton
California and other states, they go for like four and five months.
Cindy Overton
Right.
Woody Overton
In one case, like the Scott Peterson case, I'm doing on scores, and I'm like, how in the do they let it drag out this long that you put on your people and get it done?
Cindy Overton
Right.
Woody Overton
And so I don't know. I'm gonna have to look up Idaho and see what the average time would think. I would think Idaho is pretty conservative and would handle their business.
Cindy Overton
It was probably also not an average trial for Idaho. I don't know.
Woody Overton
No, it's not an average. Absolutely. I'm sure, you know, that's a good point. And they. They're probably going to move the jurisdiction that. That would be the first thing I would do.
Cindy Overton
Yeah.
Woody Overton
Is get it the out of anywhere near whatever county Moscow or however they say it is in. I get it somewhere else.
Cindy Overton
Yeah.
Woody Overton
But there's not going to be anywhere in the world anybody hadn't heard of this.
Cindy Overton
No. For sure not.
Woody Overton
But I'd like to look him in the eyes. We will holler at y'all later. And what are you overturning? Cindy Overton, True Crime. Time for this taco. Tuesday, April 1 Holitz Lair. Peace.
