And we also had this week, which we're recording a little bit early on because we got a lot of other stuff going on to just get through these weeks. It seems like humma.
Cindy Overton
Yes.
Woody Overton
Yeah. And if you hear any outside noise, we got people putting in the driveway. We got people inside ready, doing a shower just non stop.
Cindy Overton
But trees. Has somebody been removing that tree that fell?
Woody Overton
They are. It's been removed.
Cindy Overton
Okay.
Woody Overton
And it got removed yesterday. The so I'm sure the lab was a huge success and. But can't really tell you because it hadn't happened yet. But. But the story, you know, was fire is fire. And I love and appreciate each and every one of y'.

It's time for effed up professionals.
Cindy Overton
And my effed up professional is a teacher. So In May of 2025, we're in South Carolina. And in May of 2025, detectives of Anderson County, South Carolina began investigating a claim. I guess that's a better, different way of Saying allegation that a former elementary teacher had formed a deeply inappropriate relationship with a teenage boy.
Woody Overton
Okay.
Cindy Overton
And the boy, who's now 18, revealed that all of this happened when he was 14 years old in 2021. On July 10th of this year, 33 year old Nicole Ballo Callahan voluntarily surrendered to police. She was charged in Anderson county with three counts of criminal sexual conduct with a minor and one count of contributing to the delinquency of a minor. Investigators described the relationship as prolonged and inappropriate and of course, contained a lot of grooming behavior. They uncovered evidence that Callaham repeatedly signed the boy out of school, drove him to extracurricular events, and supervised after school activities over a span of two years. And additional charges came from the Greenville Police Department since the misconduct occurred within that city's jurisdiction and the boy attended part of his schooling there. So Callahan was hit with eight more counts of criminal sexual conduct with a minor and four counts of unlawful conduct toward a child. And now that the victim is an adult, he testified that he delayed making a report until after he turned 18. He needed time to process the trauma and then process what he was going to go through with making, you know, making the claim and saying all that happened to him. He wanted to make sure that he was mentally prepared for it. And by the time of. Of her arrest, Callaham had resigned from teaching at home, Homeland Park Elementary School. And that was effective May 21st of this year. And she's currently in custody at Greenville County Detention center and held on a $40,000 bond and ordered not to contact the victim or his family.
Woody Overton
Nice, right?
Cindy Overton
Yeah.
Woody Overton
Crazy. It's time for family matters. All right, Going up about five hours up the road from US to Memphis, Tennessee, and they have a mom who's in a little bit of trouble. She got arrested, was taken in for questioning. Know why.
Cindy Overton
She hit her kid?
Woody Overton
Yeah, wish. They. They found her daughter's mummified corpse in a hotel room. So Kim Moore, 46, was charged on July 11 with abuse of a corpse and failure to report a dead body. And on July 11, detectives responded to the Home in Suites in Memphis to check on more after the hotel manager said she made some strange comments claiming her husband owned the hotel. Well, they got there, and she repeated to the deputies that her husband owned the hotel and claimed she was present to ensure employees were doing their job.
Cindy Overton
Okay.
Woody Overton
Okay, mother. You know, cops are talking to her, and they noticed a strong smell coming from the room she was staying in. So they asked her about it. She said, I don't smell Anything but deputies entered the room. They found Moore's daughter, Chloe Moore, laying in the hotel bed, unresponsive, cold to the touch, malnourished and mummified. Right. So they bring in the medical examiner to look at her body, and it was surrounded by flies. And so they were able to determine she had been sitting there for quite some time due to a loss of water, which had caused her skin to darken and body to shrink. Crazy. So deputy said Moore was interested and taken for question. And she refused to give a statement. But she did tell detectives during her evaluation that her daughter Chloe was still here with her and God is with her and her daughter. And so they asked her some more questions and she refused to reply and only said God is with her and daughter. And she reads her Bible. Detectives then determine more to be in a state of crisis due to hallucinations of her daughter still being alive.
Cindy Overton
So she's playing crazy.
Woody Overton
I don't think you're playing crazy. There's some people really are crazy.
Cindy Overton
Yeah. So you believe her?
Woody Overton
Yeah. I wanted three. I mean, you got the body and you staying in the hotel room with the body to mummification. Yeah.
Cindy Overton
And I can't smell it.
Woody Overton
Right. I mean, I can't even imagine that. It's Memphis, it's hot, and they could smell it from outside. And she's telling people that her husband owns a hotel and her daughter's reading the Bible. Whatever, whatever. So I'm sure she'll be sent in for a criminal evaluation, but she will was arrested like we said. So who knows what's going to happen with that show. That's crazy. Literally. 103m and police talk. Yeah, There you have it. Short one, but, but.
Cindy Overton
Not sweet.
Woody Overton
No, you're right. It's time for family matter.
Cindy Overton
Well, this is another tragedy. I, I, I can't. To me, maybe it's because we're reporting on these this year and I did. I've never reported the news with you, like, for a full year. We'll complete that, like in November. Yeah. So I didn't do a summer month with you, but this is getting way out of hand, in my opinion. And I am talking about children dying in heated cars.
Woody Overton
That's, I mean, yeah, it is the summertime, so naturally that's going to go up. But you're right, it's a lot.
Cindy Overton
So on July 9th in San Antonio, Texas.
Woody Overton
Spending a lot of time in San Antonio in the summer, too. Not on vacation. Working.
Cindy Overton
You can imagine how hot. I lived in Laredo, two hours away. Spent Long time in San Antonio, it gets hot in a split second. I mean you walk out the door and it hits you and takes your breath away. Hot. But this Woman's, this mother, 22 year old, was just going about her normal morning routine and as usual she says that she dropped off her five year old son at Pinnacle Kids Academy before starting her workday next door. She believed the child had exited the vehicle and gone inside the daycare unaware he remained buckled in his car seat all day. I'm sorry, I would make sure. Just like the other day when we dropped Curtis off at home. That boy is 16 years old and we made sure that he walked through those doors.
Woody Overton
Yep. He got to the door and this dude's like six foot something and he gets to the door and he had his belongings in his hand. And I'm getting ready to pull off and he's like no, no, he's not in yet. I'm like that is bigger than me. But you're right.
Cindy Overton
So around 8am she went to work convinced her son was safe inside the daycare. And at 4:30 she returned to the daycare to pick him up. And the daycare staff informed her that he never arrived.
Woody Overton
Oh moment.
Cindy Overton
So panic set in as she rushed back to her car and she discovered her son was unresponsive and lifeless in his seat. Paramedics were called and they tragically confirmed his death on scene. San Antonio police quick quickly launched a homicide probe to determine whether the incident was accident or criminal. And as of July 10, no charges have been filed. And investigators continue to explore what happened behind the mom's knowledge and intent. And Police Chief William McManus called the incident extremely tragic and noted the boy's family was understandably quite distraught. He issued a warning to parents of course always check the backseat and never leave children or pets unattended in vehicle. Especially in the hot climates like South Texas. I'm getting to part of the story. I wonder. This heartbreaking loss came became the fourth hot car death of a child in Texas within two weeks. The nine year old girl that we talked about, three month old infant whose father was charged, the four year old boy with a daycare workers alleged alleged negligence. It all happened and then the incident. I want to get to the heat. So experts explain that a child which we talk about all the time, a car's interior can soar to 114 degrees within 10 minutes and end and go all the way up of course even higher. But like on a 95 degree day the inside temperatures can be like at 129 even, like in the shade. And of course, that causes a risk to children much faster than adults. But that day, San Antonio's temperature was 91 degrees, the heat index at 95, and the car's likely interior temperature was 133 degrees within an hour. So it's just sad. I'm not crying.
Woody Overton
Did she get arrested?
Cindy Overton
No, not yet. They're. They're investigating whether it was accidental or criminal.

I recently took the True Age test from True Diagnostic and discovered my biological age. And let me tell you, it's completely changed the way I look at my health. Biological age is a powerful indicator of how fast you're aging on the inside. And it directly predicts your risk for serious diseases. Here's why that matters. Research shows that if your biological age is even just five years older than your actual age, your risk of developing diseases like cancer or heart disease can jump by as much as 30 to 50%. That's a big deal. And the amazing part is nearly 90% of biological aging is actually, actually in our control. It all comes down to lifestyle, habits and your environment. When I got my results back, I was honestly shocked. My chronological age is 55, but my biological OMICM age came back at 63, meaning I'm biologically about eight years older.
Woody Overton
Than my actual age.
Sponsor Voiceover
That was definitely not what I expected, and honestly, it was a big wake.
Woody Overton
Up call for me.

The triage test didn't just give me one number. It broke down how quickly each of my organ systems are aging, and it was eye opening. I found out that my liver and musculoskeletal system are actually aging slower, which was encouraging. But my heart, brain, lungs and metabolic systems were all aging faster than they should be. I also learned that my pace of aging is 1.1, meaning for every year that passes, I'm aging 1.1 biological years. And that can increase my risk of chronic disease disease and even shorten my lifespan if I don't make changes. This test really pushed me to make some adjustments. The personalized strategies they shared from top scientists at Harvard and Yale included focusing more on strength and resistance training to support my heart and metabolic health. The best part? The test itself was super easy and convenient. I did it right at home. No doctor visits or big needles. Just a quick painless finger prick and I mailed it back in a prepaid package and got a detailed online report in about two to three weeks. Fast and totally hassle free. If you care about protecting your health and want to find out what your real age is, head over to truediagnostic.com and use my code RLRC to get 20% off your entire order or subscription. Woody Overton
Oh, it's negligent at the least, right?
Cindy Overton
Yeah.
Woody Overton
All right, well, let's go. I'm going to send you another short one. We're going to Phoenix, Arizona. Now, if you think, you know, you meet someone on a dating site, you go out on a date. And sometimes the dates just don't work out, I guess, you know, and most of the time, if someone's overbearing after a date or what have you, then it's a man, right? Well, in this. This case, it's a woman. Okay, so if you go out on a date with a dude and evidently he doesn't want to see you anymore for whatever reason, and you start sending them texts, what. What number of texts do you think would start to be her? A bothersome or harassing or whatever you want to call it.
Cindy Overton
I mean, if you tell them the first text, please, please don't contact me again. This isn't working out. Then two is too many. But if you're not and you're leading them on, that's completely different.
Woody Overton
Well, this. This lady, Jacqueline A. Des sent a man More than 159,000 text messages. Right. Funny, the. Wait till I tell you what.
Cindy Overton
Some of them.
Woody Overton
Yes, listen. Some of which were threatening over the course of 10 months. And it's according to police in the Arizona Republic. And they only went on one date.
Cindy Overton
Well, he should have blocked her ass.
Woody Overton
Yeah, well, the man's name has not been released. Called the police after he found a desk parked outside his home in July 2017 in the Paradise Valley. Officers escorted her office property. And that's when police say she began to threaten the man. One text read, I'd make sushi out of your kidneys in chopsticks, out of your hand bones. Another said, I'd wear your fasia F A S C I A in the top of your skull and your hands in your feet.
Cindy Overton
What is.
Woody Overton
I don't know. I guess you're facial. I don't know. The. The cops end up asking about it sooner or later. And she said, oh, I was just. I was just playing, she said. She said it's funny. And asked if she thought her texts were normal. She said, nah, I don't think anything I say is normal. I understand now. She said, it was fine if he didn't want to be with her. Said it's okay. That's how he feels. Somebody else should love him. He has so much love. He's so cute. I can't believe I scared him. 159,000 checks. So a year later, in April 2018, she was arrested for trespassing inside his home while he was out of the country. Officers found her in his house taking a bath. What? Yep. She got arrested. She asked, why is this happening to me? When police asked her what she was doing there, she gave a bizarre answer. She said, I guess that I made up a whole scenario in my head.
Sponsor Voiceover
Where I live here.
Woody Overton
So I came here and pretended that's what was happening.
Cindy Overton
So that is a 103.
Woody Overton
Yeah. Well, officers found a large butcher knife in Adas car when she gave them permission to get her purse. And she also reportedly visited the man's workplace and claimed to be his wife. Anyway, she's played not guilty to charges of stalking and criminal trespassing. Etc.
Cindy Overton
Are there pictures?
Woody Overton
Yes.
Cindy Overton
I gotta see.
Woody Overton
Yeah, she's. She's. Yeah. Doesn't look that bizarre.
Cindy Overton
No. But I was wondering if there's pictures of this.
Woody Overton
It's on YouTube, y'. All.
Cindy Overton
Beautiful, man.
Woody Overton
I know not of him. They didn't mean name his name. Then I can put his picture out.
Cindy Overton
Yeah.
Woody Overton
So there you have that.
Cindy Overton
My goodness. Well, okay. That's crazy. I got a. Family matters.
Woody Overton
It's time for Family Matters.
Cindy Overton
We're going to Utah. And on June 28th of this year, a three year old, that going by the initials R.K. was started off their morning like a normal morning. Shortly after 5:30am in Sandy, Utah, Paramedics and police were called to a basement apartment where the 3 year old's mother, who's 29 year old Amberly Leary, had found her little girl unresponsive, which is RK the little girl was slumped on the floor and the basement was dark, so it was just like a shadow of this little dark figure. But when they brought her out, they could see dark, deep bruises across her face and body. And her skin had greenish blue hue, indicating severe oxygen deprivation. Amber's boyfriend, the mom's boyfriend is 28 years old, Tyrell Scott Boulone. He was a traveling nurse and had been watching over RK While Amber worked her early shift as a certified nursing assistant. And according to him, things went wrong that morning. RK Urinated in the corner and. Which was a huge regression from her potty training. And Balon grabbed her and threw her onto a mattress so forcefully that she bounced off and struck her head against the wall. Now, I'm just going to tell you, we've potty trained four kids and when they had accidents, I don't think the way that you do that is to keep from having an accident, throw them on the bed and scare them to death. Right. And then make them hit their head. Balon claimed he observed normal breathing and heart rate after the incident, but the child remained unresponsive, fearing he would face arrest and left financially stranded. He reportedly made the mother not call 91 1. So he told the mother, amber, if you call, I'll go to jail. You don't have any money, you don't have any friends. And when Amber asked, well, what if she dies? He said, she'll be fine. It wasn't until he went outside for a cigarette that Amber Amber's guilt. Obviously she called 911, so. But there was a prior warning to this behavior. On June 22, Balon had texted Amber and told her, I'm going to murder her in reference to RK. And when she returned home from work that day, RK's eyes were swollen shut and bruised and she had markings on her head. And he reported that he, he admitted to hitting RK moments before. And he also admitted to officers that he had spanked rk, struck her with both open and closed fists and grabbed her by the hips. All part of a pattern of violence catalyzed by what he called light hearted parenting duties. So emergency crews airlifted the RK to the hospital and she had a brain bleed, a skull fracture and extensive bruising and life threatening trauma consistent with battery, which was, you know, not an accident. Salt Lake City's DA office has charged both the boyfriend and the mom with three first degree felonies, attempted aggravated murder, aggravated child abuse, child and child torture. And under Utah's child torture statute, those both carry possible life sentences. Wow, that is amazing. And Balone, the boyfriend, surrendered to authorities on June 28th, and Larry was booked on June 30th.
Woody Overton
Wow.
Cindy Overton
Isn't that horrible?
Woody Overton
Yep.
Cindy Overton
They're nurses. Like he knew what he was, I mean.
Woody Overton
Yep. Craziness. Craziness in the world. Well, you know, let's bring it back home in New Orleans. New Orleans, Louisiana. And this is a crazy story. Say they had this woman who went missing in New Orleans. Right. And her mom was looking all over for. And like we would if our. One of our kids went missing. And so her name, the girl that was missing her, her name is Danielle Levi. And she had been missing for weeks. And her mama, Yolanda McPherson, gave this interview to WDS. She would call. That's one of the top news channel channels out in the oral, so TV stations. But the mom talked about the pain of calling, texting, and searching frantically for her daughter. But she never knew that Danielle had already been found dead and brought to the coroner's office. Weeks she's been doing this, right? So according to the investigation, Danielle's body was discovered in a field, like a piece of trash, and then it was taken to the Orleans Parish Coroner's Office. However, no one ever told the family. Flyers were hung across neighborhoods and questions went unanswered. Yet, you know, yet the mom still couldn't find her daughter. And she really, like I told y', all, we wanted to find her, right? And for weeks and. But her daughter was laying in the morgue in the government facility and had been identified without her knowledge. So even more troubling, Danielle's mom says she only learned of the suspect's prosecution after an interview with WDSU and I. She says she had no idea charges had even been filed in a case. Now, McPherson, the mom is demanding answers and accountability from multiple agencies, including the New Orleans Police Department, the coroner's office, and the District Attorney's office. And she says she's been left in the dark at every stage of the investigation. So this story aired as part of WDSU's investigative report, and of course, everybody is pissed off and has sparked outrage across social media. Calls for greater transparency on how missing persons and unidentified remains are handled by the city. And the. While the details about the suspect's identity or exact charges have not yet been made public, the WSU says that the man linked to Danielle's case could face additional jail time. Still, for. You know, that doesn't do any good for her mama, though, right? Well, no, I mean, that's crazy. As the.
Cindy Overton
How do they. How did they explain.
Woody Overton
I mean, I don't know. Let me tell you something. NOPD and I'll. I was on my way there to sign the paperwork on the day when my transmission blew out, and that's how I ended up in living Sparice. Long story. I told it this past weekend on stage because it was part of the story that I was telling. But NOPD was famous. Now, my good buddy Matt Patan works here, and one day, y' all promise y' all have him on the show. He's a. He's a class act and a character with the. We worked together before that and. But nopd stands for no other police departments. The. I remember back when I was in law enforcement with sheriff's office and some. I think St. Tammany Parish Sheriff's deputies were in the Quarter and they got stopped or whatever by no pd. One of them had. I don't know if they had a gun. I don't remember why they got stopped. But they showed them their badges and they fucking arrested them anyway. And the. The sheriff at the time, who's now in prison himself. Saints Tammany called the chief. Nope. Who's no longer there, and said, dude, what's up?
Cindy Overton
Yeah.
Woody Overton
And he was like the. I think one of them was caring or something. But, I mean, he had a right to. But anyway, he said. He said, you tell your. Your deputies don't be caring in my city. And he said, you know what, dude? I'm gonna do that. Matter of fact, I'm gonna tell my deputies to stay out of your city, but I'm gonna call Louisiana Sheriff's association and I'm gonna tell every sheriff in the state of Louisiana what you did, and you tell your officers to stay out of the rest of the state.
Cindy Overton
Yeah, right, exactly.
Woody Overton
But I don't know, man. New Orleans is so big, and there's a lot of jurisdictional stuff because you have. Most people don't even know this. They. We all. We have parishes and not counties, right? But every parish in the state has a sheriff's office, okay? And they handle criminal and civil and in the jails and stuff. Orleans Parish doesn't have a criminal division. It's run by nopd. So Orleans Parish is like when you drive into Kenner and all that, that's still Jefferson Parish all the way up until you hang that right to go towards the Superdome. You know what I'm talking about? Split. That's where Orleans Parish picks up, and NOPD picks it up. But Orleans Parish, the sheriff's office doesn't have the criminal side. They just run the jail and whatever. You know, the civil stuff is. So there. There's always, like, interagency pissing contests and. No. No one. Yeah. You'd really think they'd have it fixed after Katrina, even though that's been, what, 20 years ago now? The. This year. But the. I don't know. I mean, they. I mean, I know they get a lot of dead bodies, but the. I don't know how Orleans Parish has a empty field for a body to be found in, right? Unless it's part of the city that wasn't rebuilt like the Ninth Ward or Something. Because, I mean, it's city. City. It's not like us. Yeah, we got plenty empty fields here.
Cindy Overton
Well, at least they also found the murder, but they didn't report it to the mom. I mean, and even, like, in Courtney Coco's case, they were so crass, and they just called her on the phone and told her, like, they couldn't even report to the house, so they could have at least even done that.
Woody Overton
Yeah.
Cindy Overton
I mean, there's just no.
Woody Overton
This called. Called we don't give a ish. So I don't know.
Cindy Overton
Wow. Well, we don't have to because.
Woody Overton
Well, whatever.
Cindy Overton
What are they gonna do?
Woody Overton
They still got a job, I imagine.
Cindy Overton
That's what I'm saying. Exactly. Wow. That's horrible. That poor mom. We're going to go to Coney island. And on the night of July 4th and turning into July 5th, a Brooklyn native named Malaysia Harris, who's 25 years old, headed on down to Coney Island Beach. Have you ever gone to Coney Island?
Woody Overton
No.
Cindy Overton
She went after the fireworks ended around 11, and she'd gone to meet a friend who didn't arrive.
Woody Overton
That's. That's New York, right?
Cindy Overton
Yeah.
Woody Overton
Yeah. I mean, we're never going to New York City now. Do you see what the. The. The mayor they elected?
Cindy Overton
No.
Woody Overton
And I'm not a political dude, but that. That's crazy. They want that. This is what I'm saying to y'. All. I don't care. And it's not political. But he's, like, seriously talking about, like, defunding the police that. Wait, wait, wait, listen. Not regular defunding the police, but specifically, like, for 911 domestic violence calls and disturbances, he wants to do away with and. And send social workers, and it's, like, really going to do it.
Cindy Overton
Didn't they try that and it didn't work?
Woody Overton
Yeah, that's correct.
Cindy Overton
Not in New York.
Woody Overton
It was, like, in Washington somewhere, and they. They were begging the cops to come back and do it. The. I mean, how in the are you gonna send a social worker out to deal motherfuckers beating somebody to death or doing whatever? But there's a lot more than that, and I won't get into it. But you know what? I've spent my time in New York City working like all other major cities. Love my lifers up there. It's great. I got a niece that lives. We have a niece that lives there and all that. I'm talking about in New York City, and I don't ever need to go back.
Cindy Overton
Yeah.
Woody Overton
So we'll go one day for the World Trade center and all that just because, yeah, we need to see that stuff but that. Go ahead.
Cindy Overton
So Malaysia had gone to meet up a friend but that friend didn't arrive. So Malaysia been, you know, young. She's 25. She became friends with 15 strangers and just started hanging out with them and they were enjoying the night near the waterline. Around 3am Harris Malaysia decided to leave and walk towards the beach exit near Boardwalk west and Stillwell Avenue. And while moving away from the group, she felt uneasy as a man with a noticeable scar on his lip and he was also carrying a book bag began following her and she stumbled over a mat and fell three times. That would totally be me. And then those falls helped him to catch up with her. And as she fell onto the ground, she was scared and he forced her into non consensual oral sex. And she screamed for help but instead of intervening, instead of helping her, she says that onlookers laughed and recorded the attack on their phones while passing by in a golf cart. And they just continued to drive away. Maybe they thought she was like enjoy, like doing it. Yeah. After freeing herself from the first assault, the, the man pursuit pursued her down Stillwell Avenue and attacked her again near the boardwalk attractions. And she was raped a second time and her face pressed, her face was pressed into the bushes and she kept screaming out for help. Harris finally escaped and she ran to West 8th subway, the West 8 subway station where the attacker sat next to her as if they were a couple until she managed to break away from him again. She then secured finally emergency assistance and first responders transported her to the hospital and a rape kit was conducted and she detailed all the psychological trauma that happened. And she now is detailing how she's having panic attacks, waking up every morning in fear, overwhelming fear. And she's just like it's in a loop. She's just tracked in this moment and she hopes that by speaking out about this and sharing the video footage from earlier in the night, someone, someone will help identify the man and bring him to justice.

If they get his punk ass. The shout out to all the sane nurses. Sexual, I think it's sexual assault. Nurse examiners and I had to deal with a lot of them. You know, any time I had a rape victim we had to bring them to the hospital and they would take them in and do the thing, which probably one of the most invasive things that you could ever have done to you other than Wild Alive and autopsy being the other one. But think the trauma they've been through. And then they got to go in there and get basically violated again, get all this stuff out. But the same nurses were always so amazing. And I had to take the evidence to establish a chain of custody from them in the presence of the victim and take it in and refrigerate what had to be refrigerated or whatever till we could get to the crime lab. Crazy, crazy, crazy. The beast mode going out to Los Angeles, California, and the, you know, this is one of those beast modes. And they had a dude, he was in the backyard in Lancaster once on Saturday night, and he was really having a bad time because a pair of pit bulls got a hold of him. You can see where this one's going, right? So somebody called 91 1. And the Los Angeles County Sheriff's deputies respond to the call around 10:30pm about the animal attack on 22nd Street East. Now, when the deputies got there, they found a man lying bloodied behind the home. That's according to Deputy Maria Lucero. Now, the dog, when they get there, check this out. This. This what makes the story different. When they get there, the dogs that attacked him were blocking the entrance to the yard, preventing the deputies and the paramedics from helping the man. So y', all, they. They say blocking. That means the come on in here and get you somebody else. We got blood all over their face. And that mindset when I had that dog kept pounding that fence, I was. When it killed that old lady and they had it locked up, but it kept hitting the fence, like, just trying to get at me. And so. Well, ultimately they had to get to the guy, right? So a deputy shot and killed one of the pit bulls and evidently made the other one back up enough for where they were able to get in and get the man. And they took him to the hospital, but he died, so. And his identity has not been released. It's not clear if he lived at the house or if he was just visiting. But listen to this. The LA County Animal Control comes out and they take four other dogs from the property.
Cindy Overton
Wow.
Woody Overton
Yeah. And of course, they don't say what happened to the dogs. And no one was arrested in connection with the incident.
Cindy Overton
Goodness.
Woody Overton
There you go. And the, the story I did this weekend as Pitbull fighting in it. And you know, come on, man. The, the. I mean, I'm not, you know, I'm not a dog shamer, what breed you own and all that. But the. There's, you know, like. And I've said this so many times that on search warrants, we'd serve with the SR SWAT team and, you know, we had all the intel we could get. Usually you had a CI go in and buy the dope or what, whatever, and they would tell you that, look, there's Pitbull. Pitbull chained up inside the house. And this to stop y' all from when you come in so they have time to flush the dope and stuff like that. Well, a story I did this past weekend. They raised pit bulls to fight, and that's where they. And how do you think you make a dog even. I mean, a lot of pit bulls are nice, right? How do you think you make one? Absolutely beast mode.
Cindy Overton
You. You've said it before. If the answer that I say they give them, like gun powder, like gunpowder.
Woody Overton
Food is part of what they do. And then, I mean, it's just those. I don't understand it. And then you take your dog, this dog you train, and they put like these heavy, heavy, heavy logging chains on them, and they drag around a circle and a thing, and the chain is just to make them stronger. Yeah, they. I'm talking about, like, weighs 100 pounds or whatever. So every. Every step they take, they have to fight for that step, but it builds their muscles. And then you train them to kill, and you don't really care if they get killed. You don't want to lose your money, but you're trying to make money off your dog. Killing another dog. Yeah, that's up.
Cindy Overton
That is so.
Woody Overton
Yeah, I mean, messed up. I don't know. We busted some dog fighting rings back in the day. Louisiana. I don't know if I told you this. Louisiana was the last state to have legalized fighting. Bruce. Roosters. Right. And I'd actually went to one when I was a kid. I was really drunk. Drunk as. Yeah. But I was teenagers and they said. I was like, we're going to chicken fights. We're going to check.
Cindy Overton
I know you were. But they remember that.
Woody Overton
The. But the thing being, finally they outlawed it. I mean, that's, you know, that's just too much.
Cindy Overton
Yeah.
Woody Overton
And I know people do it all over the world and stuff, but the. And you would think that me being the big hunter and fisherman and all that I don't want to see even two roosters with razor blades on their feet cutting each other up.
Cindy Overton
Well, no, because you're a hunter and fisherman, with respect. Every. Every kill you have, or every harvest or every catch, it's a thank you, God, for the. I mean, we eat it and we eat it and nothing is wasted. It's a complete circle of life. Respect thing. Nourishment. You risk. That's something that you respect so much.
Woody Overton
This. The last couple days, we've had this dog come in our yard. It tore the garbage, and you don't get it. Then it's. It's. It's going to come back the next day. Right. Free meals. And we had gone somewhere, and we come back and it got on and one of the treat bags ate a whole bag of treats. Now our dog is here meanwhile, but, like, locked up inside. And then yesterday. That's right, yesterday it came back again, tore the garbage again. And then w. Came in and he's like, that dog's back. And. And I'm like, yeah, I. I can't even bring myself to shoot the dog.
Cindy Overton
No.
Woody Overton
I've had to kill too many of them. And. And I mean, the hollering at. It's not going to do anything. It's going to continue to come back. But I'm worried that. That our dog might be in heat.
Cindy Overton
Yeah.
Woody Overton
And this might be a male. I don't know if it's a male or female, but obviously somebody's pet.
Cindy Overton
Yeah.
Woody Overton
And. And whatever. I want to shoot it, but I'm not going to say that. So. Anyway. All right. Love and appreciate each, every one of y'. All. Thank you for liking and listening, sharing, making this top 160 in the world per Apple podcast. I'm sure it is per Apple podcast. And. And all that. Hashtag justice for Bradley. Hashtag just Miss Barbara Blunt, y'. All. In this week, I'm putting a couple of Sheriff Jason R's episodes from behind the Scenes podcast where I'm a guest on and let you listen to it, because I care about Miss Barbara Blonde just as much as I ever have anybody. And, you know, things are moving. In that case, I just can't tell you about it. But it doesn't hurt, certainly, to call in tips. And just like on Bradley's case, you know, the people, the tips just won't. I'm. I'm glad, but the tips won't stop coming in because we're stirring the pot and squeak wheel gets the grease. Right. And what else? Oh, hashtag justice for Haley. You know, I think about Columus Barber and stuff, but I'm like, no, I'm not going to do it her mama, because I don't want to aggravate the situation. I know how long it takes to investigate, and I know they're sitting over there thinking they're going to get the shaft again. I just don't believe that. I believe it's coming, so. But thank y' all and I got nothing else.
Cindy Overton
I reached out to Miss Barbara a couple of days ago, just told her that I love her and I was thinking about her and just, you know, hang tight and be patient. And she said she was happy. She had just finished her one of her IV treatments for the month and she was happy to have that over with. And they were hanging tight. They were just trying to be patient and they. She. I think she is scared that the shoe's going to drop and nothing's going to happen, but I think she actually has hope that something is where she hope before.
Woody Overton
A whole lot has happened since we started the case, news coverage, then reinvestigate and everything else. She would have got nothing had you lifers not heeded the call to action and did what you did. So thank you regardless of what happens. But I still believe she's gonna get justice.
Cindy Overton
Yeah, I do, too.
Woody Overton
I'm Woody Everton.
Cindy Overton
I'm Cindy Everton.
Woody Overton
I'll let y' all later. Peace.
