Woody Overton
Yep. It'd be fire. It's going to be excellent. Hashtag just for Bradley, y' all, please continue to like and share, especially share. Hashtag Just for Bradley. The Take a second and talk about it. The TikTok world is where Bradley's story took off. Morgan Baggett started it and she's got like 40,000 followers or something like that. So all those people were the ones who kept bombarding me with the messages, please, please, please look at Bradley's case. And I finally ended up taking it for obvious reasons because it's such a shit show of a case. But the. So I'm trying to grow the Tick Tock. We have to open the tip line and 313RLRC tip and we're growing our Tick Tock. Real life, real crime because it's working. We're the people that are following us over there are actually sending in tips. Now, I know regular lifers are sending in tips, but Vernon Parish is like in the middle of nowhere, Louisiana, and it's small and. And that's where the job is going to say schmurdered. The murder of Bradley is going to have taken place. And so you go to TikTok and follow real life, real crime. And I got a shit ton of videos putting one up every day on Bradley Straits. Hashtag justice for Bradley. Hashtag justice for Haley. It's coming, y' all. That and the DA is working it. They're working it. They're looking at it, which is more than what we could ever hope to ask for. Hashtag just miss Barber Blunt. Stay tuned on that one. I got two episodes about to drop with Sheriff Jasonard on updates. And what has and hasn't happened in Ms. Barber's case. But we're closer than we've ever been. And he just messaged me the other night around 11 o' clock and he's like, hey, can you come meet? And. And so we're going to get that done. And y' all keep your fingers crossed on that. So that being said, let's roll some true crime time, okay? For this holiday week. Monday.
Cindy Overton
Monday. Monday. Monday. Monday. Okay. So do you remember the. The.
Woody Overton
When we met.
Cindy Overton
Do you remember when we met. The stabbing that happened in Kirkendall, Texas, at the stadium?
Woody Overton
At the track meet.
Cindy Overton
At the track meet. Yes.
Woody Overton
So big controversy about that.
Cindy Overton
It really. Fourth, a grand jury had indicted Anthony for first degree murder.
Woody Overton
Okay. I was wondering about that because everybody was pissed off because he was still getting to be at high school and. And graduate and all this stuff. And he killed this other kid.
Cindy Overton
Yeah.
Woody Overton
I mean, he. There's no doubt about it. Everybody saw it.
Cindy Overton
And that's what. I guess part of the. The controversy is, is because he literally says he did it, but now he's maintaining that he did it for self defense.
Woody Overton
He's got.
Cindy Overton
Exactly. I don't recall.
Woody Overton
He's not gonna say I killed him because I wanted to.
Cindy Overton
Exactly. Austin having a knife or a gun out at him.
Woody Overton
Yeah, I know. Yeah, I know. Texas definitely has the death penalty. He's not going to plead to that.
Cindy Overton
So he is out on a $250,000 bail with an ankle monor monitor on house arrest, and he's awaiting trial. But. And. And that's essentially the update on him. I mean, the story goes on to explain exactly what happened. I think most people know. And that's where. Well, at least he has a charge.
Woody Overton
Right, Right. Because they didn't. And that's a. I guess that's a good thing. The. The good for the. I mean, I know obviously the other kid is dead and it's horrible for the families, but hopefully justice will be served. Y' all. You might hear some thunder in the background. Is a little stormy outside. Today we're going to the great state of Mississippi. Our neighbors, y' all, where we're sitting at right now in the studio, we're like two, four miles from the Mississippi state line. And you know, in the Mississippi all the time and everything. I want to tell you that Mississippi definitely has the death penalty. And guess what just happened?
Cindy Overton
Someone was put to death.
Woody Overton
Yes. But not just someone. The longest serving man on Mississippi's death row was finally executed. Guess when the murder was. 1969, 1976. I was. But that's a long freaking time. So that's 49 years. Right. And so his name was Richard Jordan and he was executed on June 25th. Remember, I always tell you it's got to be aggravated circumstances, but he was executed for the murder and kidnapping of Edwina Martyr and finally executed. So he. Nearly five decades after the murder in the ransom scheme that landed him in jail. The longest serving man on Mississippi's death row was executed in this court of people. Y' all. The convicted killer, 79 year old Richard Jordan was executed by lethal injection on Wednesday, June 25th at the Mississippi State Penitentiary. Which is a maximum. Yeah, it's called parchment. And then actually that's where at the last I knew Burl Kane, who was the warden of Angola, took over Mississippi system upon his retirement. Anyway, it's a. It's a badass prison. Okay. On the level of Angola.
Cindy Overton
Yeah.
Woody Overton
Kind of like a farm like Angola is. So anyway, the execution procedures for Jordan, who's a Vietnam veteran with post traumatic stress disorder, began at 6pm local time. And he was pronounced dead 16 minutes later. This court to their Department of Corrections. Jordan was the state's longest serving death row inmate when he was executed. And he was also the oldest. Okay, that's a long. A lot of crisps that do. You got to breathe. I'll continue and telling you but ordered by the Mississippi Supreme Court on May 1. Jordan's June 25 execution came after several denied appeals from his attorneys, including the U.S. supreme Court. And he was among several individuals on Mississippi's death row who sued the state over its three drug execution protocol. Whatever. Do anything you can to delay it. He delayed it for 49 freaking years. Yeah, when they strapped him in. Final words. Old Jordan says first, I would like to thank everyone for a humane way of doing this and I want to apologize to the victims families. And his last words were I will see you on the other side. All of you. Maybe he got himself straight. If he didn't, he ain't gonna see me. Woody Overton on the other side where he's going.
Cindy Overton
Victims either right.
Woody Overton
But he. His last meal. You know, I'm gonna tell you about that. Well the. Actually Burl Kane told this to reporters and that's my former war now when I work corrections before he moved on to Angola. Anyway, he had a. He had a last meal. But listen to this. Jordan was sentenced to death for four times. Four times he got four death sentences for the kidnapping and murder of Edwina Martyr, who was a 35 year old married mother of two in Gulfport, Mississippi, 49 years ago in Gulfport, y' all is right by Biloxi. It's on the water. They said the kidnapping was part of what the Associated Press dubbed a violent ransom scheme. And on January 13, 1976, Jordan called a Gulfport bank and asked to speak with a loan officer. And employees told him that Charles Martyr, Edwina's Husband could speak with him. He then hung up and found Charles's address. What does he do next, you might ask? Well, he acted like an electrical repairman. And then he went to the loan officer's residence and kidnapped Edwina, who was home with her three year old son. He kidnapped her at gunpoint. He then took Edwina to a forest where he shot and killed her before falsely claiming that she was unharmed in order to demand a $25,000 ransom. He killed somebody for $25,000? Even back then, it's a lot of money. But the family was talking with the news outlets ahead of Jordan's execution. And one of Edwina's sons, Eric Martyr, told Associated Press that it should have happened a long time ago. And Eric, who was 11 years old when his mom was killed, added, I'm not really interested in giving him the benefit of the doubt.
Cindy Overton
Right.
Woody Overton
And when his family also shared a statement, which a spokesperson read on their behalf in a press conference following execution and says, nothing will bring back our mom, sister and our friend. Nothing can ever change what Jordan took from us 49 years ago. So the family says, nothing will bring back our mom, sister and our friend. Nothing can ever change what Jordan took from us 49 years ago. Jordan tried desperately to change his ruling so he could simply die in prison. We never had an option. He took Edwina's life. Never thought about the many people who loved her and relied on her. He took her away from us. Never thinking about it. Why should he get to live in prison and die of natural causes? We feel that he should have to endure the suffering of knowing his death was only hours away, just like Edwina had to endure. And spokesperson also said that although Edwina's sons, now age 52 and 59, may forgive him, it doesn't change what they had to miss for 49 years. And I totally agree with that. I just, you know, it's totally, totally, totally. The people that are against it never had their level. And kills the state of Mississippi. And Burl Kane. Good riddance. That asshole. So that's all I have on it.
Cindy Overton
For his last meal.
Woody Overton
No, they did not.
Cindy Overton
I just gave an update on the stabbing that happened in Texas at the track meet. Right, right. Well, now I have another stabbing that a story of another stabbing that occurred in 1919 Jesus Ways. I'm dating myself in 2022 at a high school in Texas.
Woody Overton

Woody Overton
So it's not the same one.
Cindy Overton
No. So on May 3rd of 2022, there was a fight that erupted in a bathroom at Belton High School in Texas. But finally, on June 23rd of this year, a sentencing took place at the 478th Judicial Judicial District Court of Bell County. So the victim was 18 year old Joe Luis Ramirez Jr. And the defendant was or is Cason Allison. And what happened was a fight broke out in the school bathroom. And there was actually video evidence that showed Ramirez punching Allison first and then prompting Allison to pull a knife and stab him.
Woody Overton
Wonder how they have a video in the bathroom? I wouldn't think in the early 2000s they had cell phone cameras.
Cindy Overton
It was 2022. I was the one that said 19. Yes.
Woody Overton
All right, so I'm sure somebody else stood there and videoed it.
Cindy Overton
Exactly. So Ramirez collapsed in the hallway shortly after leaving the bathroom and later died. Injuries. And Allison claimed that it was self defense. And the jury acquitted him of murder and manslaughter, but convicted him of criminally negligent homicide.
Woody Overton
Right.
Cindy Overton
Well, the judge stepped in on this because what that sentencing would have been was anywhere from six months to two years. And so the judge raised the sentencing Ray a range from two to 10 years without parole.
Woody Overton
So still kind of weak.
Cindy Overton
Exactly. So Allison received the maximum 10 year prison term on June 23rd of this year. But he's already served 74 days in jail, which will be credited towards his sentence. But at least the judge raised the sentencing. You know, I mean, I guess he.
Woody Overton
Gave him the max that he could. Like in Haley's case, they. They didn't charge them the murder. We charged him with moving a corpse and destruction of property. For tearing up a police interrogation room.
Cindy Overton
Exactly.
Woody Overton
And gave him 11 years.
Cindy Overton
Exactly. So it just shows that a judge can step in.
Woody Overton
Well, I think he probably stepped in and. But I'm sure that judge wants to give more. That's ridiculous. Yeah, that is absolutely ridiculous. And I don't understand that, but we're going to Texas. You ready? It's time for family matters. Well, there's a man named James Gregory Greg Ore G R I, G O, R Y Gregory.
Cindy Overton
Okay.
Woody Overton
All right. He's 38 years old. Yeah, well, he's not a nice guy. You know what he did?
Cindy Overton
Killed his girlfriend.
Woody Overton
Oh, worse than that.
Cindy Overton
Oh, no, I don't want. If it's a baby or a child, I don't want to hear it.
Woody Overton
You. The gong.
Cindy Overton
I'm gonna get a gong.
Woody Overton
Or you can say la la la, I can't hear you, etc. Right. Well, you did a lot of bad. Okay. And I really want to tell this correctly, so I guess I'll just start at the beginning and not leave you in suspense. He killed his mama, Then he drove to his dad's house to kill him.
Cindy Overton
Okay.
Woody Overton
And two dogs.
Cindy Overton
Okay. Why?
Woody Overton
But not done yet.
Cindy Overton
I know he's not done killing.
Woody Overton
No. And ultimately he would kill himself, but that's not. That's not the end of it. So listen, the three people and two dogs are dead after a murder suicide in Texas over the weekend that also left a law enforcement officer seriously injured. I don't know how this guy's gonna live. Leon County Sheriff Kevin Ellis identified the assailant as 38 year old James Scott Gregory. And the victims, of course, were his mother and father. So Gregory also shot a deputy from the Leon County Sheriff's office before dying by suicide by turning the gun on himself. Scornish share Deputies went on a welfare check after receiving a call about a suicidal subject who alleged to have killed his parents in Norman G. A town with a population of less than 500 located approximately 120 miles east of Austin. That's in our direction. But when the deputies were joined by a trooper from the Texas Department of Public Safety and they attempted to make contact with someone inside the residence. Right. Gregory open fire. And one deputy was struck in the face and arm during the gunfire and had to be transported from the scene by helicopter to receive medical treatment. Well, now Gregory's in a world of shit. He's already killed his parents and then now he shot a law enforcement officer and he's in still inside the house. So what the cops do when they get scared, they call the SWAT team. And so they set up room around the residence and the SWAT team shows up. And it always happened. We as before school, mass school shootings and stuff. When I was on it, the deputies need to set up a perimeter. And we would get there and the SWAT team commander would to say, go relieve this person. You're going to be in a perimeter here. Everybody had a job, so they do it. They set up the perimeter. And they take control of the scene. Now, you know you got a dude in the house, he's already shot one of your brothers. It's not going to end well for anyone, but back in our day, we had hostage negotiators and shit like that would try to talk people out. SWAT wasn't playing. And they already shot one of her brothers. He's probably not going to live. So you formulate your plan and you make entry. And they did. And when they entered, they found two dogs and Gregory dead, all shot. Why the fuck you got to shoot the dogs? I mean, you're a bitch anyway. You killed your mom and daddy. Why you gotta shoot the dogs? So Gregory was dead from what appeared to be a self inflicted gunshot wound. And while this is going on, deputies with the Harris County Sheriff's Office were performing a welfare check at the home of Gregory's mother. And that's by Houston, y' all. Harris County Sheriff Ed Gonzalez said that the deputies arrived to the home and found Gregory's mom dead from a gunshot wound. And now my boys, the Texas Rangers, are now handling investigation. Anytime, because people, somebody's gonna say, oh, they kill Gregory out of retaliation. Well, that's bullshit. And we worked. I had cases where like this, and the person shot themselves after shooting at law enforcement.
Cindy Overton
The dogs are dead too. I mean, ye.
Woody Overton
The deputy who was shot twice during the incident is in stable condition and waiting surgery. And law enforcement hasn't released the names of the victims. But Mr. Gregory, you are an sir and part of family matters. So there you have it. You know, I don't know. We don't usually report a murder suicide, but this dude took out both his parents, shot a deputy and killed the dogs.
Cindy Overton
Yeah, well, I've got that. That's just horrible. I don't. I don't even know what to say. So we have a. We're going to Miami. On June 20, in Miami Springs, Florida, a 43 year old named Katrina Nicole Grant attacked a woman that she found with her fiance outside the Clarion hotel.
Woody Overton
Nice.
Cindy Overton
Around 7:38, she.
Woody Overton
I'm sorry, she saw her fiance with another woman.
Cindy Overton
Huh.
Woody Overton
Okay. And then she attacks.
Cindy Overton
She attacks the woman. So around 7:30am, Grant, the fiance, the woman pulled up to the parking lot and saw her fiance walking with another woman. Enraged, she grabbed the woman's ponytail. She's driving, grabbed the woman's ponytail through the car window and drove off, dragging the woman alongside her car. What if they're just like. What if it's just some random person you're walking out to your car.
Woody Overton
That had a really fucking hurt. Can you imagine the hair pulling? Hair hurts. Anyway. Would be speeding off on a car, being drugged by your hair.
Cindy Overton
I can't imagine.
Woody Overton
I would.
Cindy Overton
When she stopped, Grant pepper sprayed the victim in the face and on her arm. And police arrived soon after. And they reviewed hotel surveillance footage and used the license plate to track down Grant the same day. So they found her. Inside her car, officers found a pink pepper spray. Pepper spray canister matching what the victim described. Grant told the police that she was tired of her fiance's cheating and she acted out of emotion. Just break up with him. I mean, he's the one. The poor woman might not have even known that he was engaged or had a girlfriend or.
Woody Overton
Did they say if the woman lived? Yeah, she did live.
Cindy Overton
She did live.
Woody Overton
She was just minus some hair and pepper spray.
Cindy Overton
I guess so. So Nicole Grant was arrested and charged with aggravated battery with a deadly weapon. And Grant posted bail two days later and was ordered to have no contact with the vict. And she's pleaded not guilty at her arraignment. I mean, she's pleaded not guilty, and her arraignment is scheduled for July 21st.
Woody Overton
Because she'll be holding out for some kind of plea bargain, I guess the. I don't know. Crazy, crazy, crazy, crazy. I mean, I don't know if I've ever had anybody drug by their hair before by a car. Right, right. You know what? Let's go ahead. I always do the P. Diddy updates, and I'll do that in a minute. Thank God that's coming to a conclusion. But, you know, I like to do the number one news topic. Yeah, right. Or just read the headlines.
Cindy Overton
Yeah.
Woody Overton
And yesterday I did a TikTok live for the first time. Thank you for everybody joined. That was pretty awesome. And then enlightening for me to learn all the stuff I can and can't do. Evidently, you can't drink a beer. You can't show a beer can.
Cindy Overton
Right.
Woody Overton
You can't say gun.
Cindy Overton
Right.
Woody Overton
Or weapon. You have to say pew. Pew.
Cindy Overton
Yeah. You can't say banned. You have to say they. They use the word banana.
Woody Overton
Yeah, I didn't even. That's crazy. And you can't say YouTube.
Cindy Overton
No. Or Facebook.
Woody Overton
Yeah. Well, anyway, the. One of the questions I got in was about that Travis Decker dude who killed his. His girls. And evidently this dude's still on the run or whether he's alive or not, I don't know. But he is definitely still making headlines in the news. First headline says no Certain evidence Travis Decker is alive. Or even if murder suspect is in Washington. Okay. I mean, I know he had military training and shed and whatever. I mean, I'm pretty sure if you kill your kids and all that, you might as well just go ahead and take yourself out, right? What? But he could have done that where he killed him at. So I don't know. Maybe he's still running. I don't know. Then we'll go to the next one, which is titled Inside the manhunt for dad accused and accused of killing three daughters. Justice will catch up with him. Okay, all right, the next one. Travis Decker manhunt timeline. Inside the search for the missing Washington dad accused of killing his three daughters. Okay, next one. Travis Decker's neighbor reveals weird encounter before his three daughters died. Well, they didn't just die. They were murdered by their dad. Next one. Travis Decker's ex said his only joys were daughters and Husky. Then he considered rehoming the dog before the kid's death. Right. Interesting.
Cindy Overton
Yeah.
Woody Overton
Next one. Travis Decker's ex wants him found dead or alive. Says a lawyer. But do authorities think he's still living? I don't know. So I don't know, y' all. Where Travis Decker is. I was thinking about it this morning. I would think that he. Well, we know he ran like a little bitch after he killed his babies. So you asked yourself as an investigator, is he still alive or not? Well, he ran like a little bitch. That shows he wants to be alive, right? I mean, he could have just done it like this other dude did it in the house, right? Gregory or whatever his name was. But then, yeah, I know he has some survival training and all that. Well, you know, you still got to eat. You kill your kids, you got to be out in the woods. And if you're in the woods and you're starving or whatever, and you don't have any way of killing and hunting and. And this is, I find hard to believe that he's even in the area. Or if he is in the area, he's dead somewhere.
Cindy Overton
You do?
Woody Overton
Yeah, I think he. He's. He probably is 10, seven out of service. I mean, this. It's not like he's a multi millionaire and then sipping pina coladas and what it. And tyling.
Cindy Overton
How many. You have always said that you could do that show alone, right?
Woody Overton
Yep.
Cindy Overton
And so what if you look at it from that perspective?
Woody Overton
Why. Why?
Cindy Overton
He's not going to have any more than what someone on Alone would have.
Woody Overton
Yeah, but you killed your kids. Why would you Even I know you ran initially after you kill him.
Cindy Overton
So you think he's going to off himself in the woods somewhere?
Woody Overton
I don't know. I don't know. I don't. I don't really know. I think he's probably dead somewhere close and they just haven't found him. They'll find him during hunting season or they'll find his remains. That's what usually happens because everybody would be out in the woods. Well, you know what the. I'm gonna go ahead and get some P. Diddy since we're doing headlines and y' all. Thankfully there's not many of them and it's been going on forever. It was something funny somebody posted in the. In the. In the app, the real life real crime community app, which you can download for free from the App Store. Post said this today or didn't. So I know you don't give a Diddy about Diddy, but Diddy or didn't he? And I don't really know, but I'll give you, hopefully the last Monday of updated headlines and the first headline says court hears Diddy's text to X about crazy fantasies and her striking response. I'm not even going there. The next one. Prosecution rest in Diddy's sex trafficking trial.

Woody Overton
Thank God. Right? So let's see the next one. Oh, Diddy. Next one. Judge asked Diddy how he was feeling. His answer made the judge laugh. Okay, whatever, right? I mean, what else can you report on? I mean, we've heard it all on. On this. They're trying to get a view. So. Next one Prosecutors want to drop some charges against Diddy just before closing arguments. I would open it up and read it, but I don't really give a fuck. Right? So see if we got any more diddies for you. Next one Diddy was the leader of a criminal enterprise who didn't take no for an answer, prosecutors say in closing arguments. I didn't even know the closing arguments were done. Thankfully, they are.
Cindy Overton
Right.
Woody Overton
Well, evidently they haven't come back and said anything or otherwise I'd have a headline about he's guilty or not guilty. Right. So hopefully it'll be over this week. Oh, one more. Cassie testified year about years of Diddy's alleged abuse yet rapper attorney claims she's cases winner. I guess they're using Cassie against prosecution. And I guess I could talk about it now that the jury's got it or the closing arguments were rolling. So there you go. We will bring you an update. We're gonna live breaking news. We're gonna run out here. When? As soon as we hear about Diddy and drop a special episode.
Cindy Overton
I'm sure we are.
Woody Overton
I'm gonna talk about something else that was mentioned on the live yesterday. Everybody knows about Coburger murdering those, those college kids in Moscow, Idaho. Right. So his shit is coming up and I really, really want to go. I wish we had the money for me and the time for me to go up there and cover this trial because I think it's very interesting and from a criminal investigative standpoint, do I think he's guilty? Fuck yes. And I think they're going to prove it, I guess. But check this out. I did not know this. This came out the so I remember when it first happened and I was looking at the crime scene photos from outside and there was a ladder against the house and I was speculating that's the way he got in and but it's for we even knew who it was right before they made an arrest and everything else. And of course everybody knows that you know now about his cell phone being in the area and supposedly he had been by the house numerous times before and everything else. Well, here's something that Woody Overton did not know that they found. So they say they besides the the girl that was alive inside the house that saw the shadow, the guy with the bushy eyebrows leaving, which was Coburger. Now they got a doordash driver who claims she parked right next to Coburger on the night of the murder.
Cindy Overton
Wow.
Woody Overton
So check it out. So this woman who delivered us allegedly deliver food moments before the four students were killed discussed the trial with police during an unrelated arrest in 2024, the upcoming trial. So the Door to Ash driver told police she saw Bryan Kohlberger on the night he is accused of killing four college students and that she will be testifying at his upcoming trial. Interesting. We did not know that those statements were made by the woman on September 4, 2024 when she was taken into custody by officers with the Pullman Police Department following a traffic stop that is unrelated to the case. Now, body camera footage detained by People magazine shows the woman telling the officer booking her into jail, I'm the doordash driver. I saw Brian. I park right next time she might be full of shit, but we'll see. But not done. Just prior to that she told officer, now I have to testify in the big murder case too. When the officer asked her what murder case she was referring to, she responded the murder case of the college girls. Well, guess what? It wasn't just girls. It was three girls and one guy. But prosecutors and police could neither confirm or deny the woman's claim due to a non dissemination order barring extra judicial statements about the case. However, the woman shares the same initials as the doordash driver, referred to as MM in the court filings. So it's really did get out of hand, but not in a bad way, I think. And not like Diddy's case. I mean he murdered four college students in the prime of their life at one time within minutes of each other. Right. So it had such an national worldwide media attention that the judge is like, fuck it, nobody else can say anything. Right? And I remember because I followed it close, actually I covered it closely. But she is one of only two people believed to have seen Coburger near the scene of the murders. With other being the surviving roommate who told police she watched him exit the home that night. But the doordash driver arrived at 4am to the house in Moscow with a delivery from Jack in the Box for Zana Colonel and that's this according to the probable calls affidavit authorities believe. Back it up. Naturally she was one of the victims.
Cindy Overton
Right.
Woody Overton
If you. I don't know if you remember that.
Cindy Overton
Yeah.
Woody Overton
So she got doordash just Jack in a box. Yeah, minutes before. But authorities believe that the killer entered the home just a few minutes later and by 4:20am had left the off campus residence after fatally stabbing the four students. Carnoodle and her boyfriend Ethan Chapman, who are both 20, and Kaylee Goncalves and Madison Mogan, both 21 years old. So the provocals affidavit says that authorities link Colbert to the killings through DNA found on a knife sheath and cell phone location data and surveillance footage showing a car matching his make and model driving to and from the scene. But in a motion laying out his alibi, Cobarger's lawyer Ann Taylor said the suspect was out driving by himself on the night of the murders, but he did not kill the four victims. Now the trial, which I if I did go fund these, I'd say go fund it so. And get Woody Overton to cover it. But I can't be away for that long. Co Markers murder trial is scheduled to begin and on August 11th in Attic county after the defense successfully petitioned for a change of venue in the case. And that very rarely happens. You hear about it, but it very rarely happens. Jury selection will begin on August 4th. Of course that's probably going to take a minute because all the press. But Cobarger told the public defender who represented him after his arrest in Pennsylvania that he expects to be exonerated at trial. And he declined. Remember this when they got him in court to how you plead, guilty or not guilty? He didn't say I ain't saying go yourself. He declined to enter a plea in court when the judge formally charged him with the four counts of murder. And naturally the court innocent and not gets when they you're an asshole like that. The court enters the plea for you. So what's interesting about it is him having studied criminal justice and being this genius, like supposedly like genius and all that. That I want to know and it'll come out on trial that although you don't have to establish motive, it's going to come out on trial while why he picked these victims. And I betting dollars to donuts that he tried to pick up on one of them at some point. They're pretty young girls. Right. And. Or maybe he tried to pick up on the dude. I don't know. But I'm saying he tried to pick up on one of them or he had class with one of them some point. He had some kind of interaction that they spurned him. And maybe he asked one of them out and they were like, you're a loser or you got bushy eyebrows or whatever. And then. Or maybe he just. The other calls for me for him would be he saw one of them. He started fantasizing about him. He didn't have the social skills to do the interaction actually ask him out on the date. And he masturbated and did the fantasy because they put him in an area before by the house and did the fantasy enough to where the masturbation didn't take care of it enough anymore and he wanted to go act it out.
Cindy Overton
Yeah.
Woody Overton
Then he got in there and realized once you start stabbing people, it's a whole different thing that this fantasy you had inside of your mind.
Cindy Overton
Yeah.
Woody Overton
And there's sugar turtle shit and oh, did I ever ask. Do you want to know? Because I want to know, does Idaho have the death penalty? They must not. They must not because that you would hear about them going for it. Well, let's see. They may. I don't know. I know they got some good hunting lifers if you want to invite me to go hunting up there. They currently have nine residents under the sentence of death in Idaho. And the eight male residents are incarcerated at the Idaho Maximum Security Institution south of Boise. And the one female resident is incarcerated at Pocatello Women's Correctional Center. Three executions have occurred since Idaho enacted the new death penalty statute in 1977. That's after the whole United States was under moratorium, so. Interesting. Well, you know what? I bet maybe I missed it, but I bet you a gazillion dollars they're going for the death penalty.
Cindy Overton
I would think so.
Woody Overton
I mean, four babies, but I can remember being that age and thinking I was man of the world. But four babies being brutally stabbed to death in the bed in the safety of their own home.
Cindy Overton
Yeah.
Woody Overton
At 4:00 in the morning.
Cindy Overton
Yeah.
Woody Overton
If that doesn't show premeditation and aggravating circumstances. I mean, just by breaking into a house, that makes an aggravating circumstance. But you killed four people.
Cindy Overton
Yeah.
Woody Overton
Yeah. Mr. Coburger, justice is coming for you.
Cindy Overton
He thinks. He thought he was smart. Too smart for everybody.
Woody Overton
He. I think he still does. That's why he didn't enter plea.
Cindy Overton
Exactly.
Woody Overton
He's like, I'm smarter. Everybody in this courtroom, go yourself, judge. That's what he's saying inside of his head. Head. I wish I could be inside of his head, but I. I know I like to be inside of his head. I'd like to know exactly what he's thinking.
Cindy Overton
Yeah.
Woody Overton
I bet he relives the murders over and over and over and over again. And he's kicking himself for leaving that sheath behind. The sheath being for the K Bar knife, which is a marines the military has been issued since probably World War II or before. And that knife is made for killing. It's not made for skin and deer or anything else. It is made to kill their little ridges on top and everything or so when you plunge it in somebody and you rip it out, it causes maximum damage. The little indentations down the side are made. So when you go in, it rips organs and. And causes maximum damage. You buy that either as a trophy or because you intend to kill somebody.
Cindy Overton
I know, but I mean, you always say prisons are full of dummies. And we're sitting here, he thinks that he's Smarter than everyone. But he showed up in his own car. He showed up with his own phone. Like, why. Those are the two.
Woody Overton
His phone wasn't on at the time, but he did. Not realizing, you know, that they were going to go back and track that.
Cindy Overton
Hey.
Woody Overton
That you basically were sitting in this parking lot before.
Cindy Overton
But he did show up.
Woody Overton
Yeah. Well, hey, I didn't say he was. You know, he thinks he's that smart.
Cindy Overton
Yeah, that's what I said.
Woody Overton
I've always so always said there's no such thing as a perfect crime. You're going to leave something behind.
Cindy Overton
Yeah.
Woody Overton
And you know what? I hope it doesn't take 49 years to kill this motherfucker.
Cindy Overton
I'm glad I made all the mistakes he made so that he's easily found and prosecuted.
Woody Overton
And me, too.
Cindy Overton
It's over. And.
Woody Overton
And the. I don't know. Justice shall be served, y' all. Hashtag justice for Bradley. Man, this case is so crazy. And go listen to the first three episodes of the last one is being more dramatic because really getting into the meat of the case. The next one's going to be even better. The again, the Tick Tock and the podcast world are not the same thing. Proven that time and time again. But go, please follow real life, real crime on Tick Tock. Just because in the algorithms. And we need all those people that Morgan's been telling the story to for however long. They're the ones that's calling and giving me the tips.
Cindy Overton
Yeah.
Woody Overton
And I've got a ton. We got a ton of stuff that we're working. But y' all take a minute and go follow us, please, on. On Tick Tock. Also, we are on YouTube every episode. You and I do every episode. Except for the Baton Rouge Madam I did last weekend. I didn't have the camera. The Cindy is editing them and putting them up on YouTube within a week after their release of the podcast.
Cindy Overton
Yeah.
Woody Overton
So that's it. Go get your tickets for the live.
Cindy Overton
Oh, my gosh. I'm getting so excited about the Live. I'm cure. I'm getting. I spent the morning, like, picking out the stuff that we're going to put in the VIP bags, like, and then everybody that stays at the hotel, you know, they get their welcome bag. And so, like, curating those. And it's just so special and such a good time.
Woody Overton
Yeah. And they got lifers coming in from all over the country.
Cindy Overton
Yes.
Woody Overton
And Jake Donaldson messaged me yesterday. They. They definitely get to be there. He and his bride, which is awesome. And we got them from Everywhere and the shirt that I'm wearing.
Cindy Overton
Promise. We the they have reached out to us to tell their story. Hopefully eventually. We mentioned it just on a couple episodes. It's a little boy who was being watch by a nurse caretaker and his. His parents work shift work like nurse. And I don't remember what the daddy did. And so they needed someone to come into their home and watch their child. They went through all the rigorous interviewing and you know, they really. What do you call it when you vetted the person and she came with really good background references and she ended up murdering Preston.
Woody Overton
And aren't they from like Washington state?
Narrator
Yes.
Cindy Overton
Yes. And so they wanted to come to our walk. I mean, they wanted to come to our. You're live. But they're having a walk that day. But they said next year they will definitely be at the live.
Woody Overton
Well, but all the Prestons in the world and all the Preston's families, we pray for justice for them and the. I'll take a look at that case when we get time. So prayers for everybody needs justice.
Cindy Overton
Yeah.
Woody Overton
Everybody has been murdered. Every case that's cold, every case that's been screwed up, whether it's by the cops or judicial system or whatever, we pray for justice for everybody.
Cindy Overton
And what this family has done is like what, you know, Ms. Barbara. I mean, like what Ms. Stephanie did is they're trying to take that horrible negative and turn it into a positive. So they're trying to go out and educate the world on how to better, you know, vet people that are going to be in your home, what to look for, you know, if something's. They said that she was off, like she just wasn't quite there. But nothing spoke to them. You know what I mean? They're like, I wish that we would have just had her go out of the house and got someone else to come in. Well, when they noticed these, then we'll.
Woody Overton
Tell the story one day. Yeah, I'll tell the story one day, y' all. I have a thousand stories like that in my email that people send in every day. Yeah. About their loved ones being murdered. But that's it. I've got nothing else. And I'm Woody Everton.
Cindy Overton
I'm Cindy Overton.
Woody Overton
We'll holler child later. Peace.
Narrator
