Woody Overton
Foreign hello, everybody, and welcome to episode of True Crime. Time for Monday, March 17th, otherwise known as St. Petty's Day. Right?
Cindy Overton
Yes.
Woody Overton
And I'm Woody Overton.
Cindy Overton
I'm Cindy Overton.
Woody Overton
And we got a lot of stuff to talk about today.
Cindy Overton
Yes.
Woody Overton
And you know, crazy, crazy stuff. I'm gonna start out with the storm system that finished Sunday, I guess Sunday morning early. It was, it was pretty bad here and this. So but it was a whole lot worse for a lot of the people. And I'm gonna go to FOX News. And they said 35 are dead from a monster storm system charging across the US Was spawning violent tornadoes, a dust storm and a blizzard all at one time. Fast facts in Missouri and Mississippi and Arkansas all had deaths from powerful tornadoes, which is crazy. There was a dust storm that left several dead in Texas and Kansas.
Cindy Overton
Goodness.
Woody Overton
Right. So the powerful storm system that moved across the central and eastern US Produced violence, tornadoes, a dust storm, raging wildfires and even a blizzard. And tragically left more than 30 people dead. Sunday marked the final day of the severe weather outbreak portion of the system. And it was just bad, y'all. Just on the tornadoes. At least 21 people confirmed dead in three states due to the tornado outbreak that was sweeping across the Midwest and into the Southeast on Friday and Saturday. And most of the destruction was in Missouri, but they confirmed at least a dozen deaths from severe weather and tornadoes. And six deaths were confirmed in Wayne county, three in Ozark county, two in Butler and Jefferson counties. I know we've driven through a lot of those. St. Louis County Police said a woman there was found dead near electrical lines in the backyard of our home in a tornado in Villa Ridge, Missouri, outside of St. Louis was captured on camera as it caused significant damage. And according to storm chasers, the tornado's wind caused numerous power flashes, several semi trucks to flip and various structures to be damaged. So tornadoes were also reported in Rolla and Hartville and areas outside of St. Louis. In Arkansas, three fatalities were confirmed in Independence county and 29 people reported injured. And eight counties in connection to the storm system. So that's crazy. They said as you drive through this community, you see so many neighbors coming out taking care of each other. This Governor Sarah Huckabee said the judge himself has been out cleaning debris over the course of the last 24 hours. In Mississippi, Governor Tate Reeves said he declared a state of emergency after tornadoes in an earthquake impacted his state over the weekend. Wow. Have I heard of an earthquake in Mississippi? Tragically, as of now, six deaths have been reported, one in Covington county, two in Jeff Davison county, three in Wathau county and also as now three additional people are currently missing. Two from Covington county and one from Walthall County. It's, you know, it's crazy y'all that. Communities across the southern plains were also impacted by a deadly dust storm as the system worked its way across the central US On Friday. A combination of damaging winds, dust storms and brush fires created chaos across the region destroying hundreds of home and causing vehicle pile ups. One of the deadliest crashes was on Interstate 70 near the Kansas Colorado state line where a dust storm which is believed to have dropped visibility near zero contributed to the fatal crash. Troopers said at least 71 vehicles were involved in incident and at least eight people were killed as a result. And it took the first responders nearly a day to clear the wreckage from the interstate. Yeah, but to the south and Texas and Oklahoma same thing. Four people were killed and multiple people were injured in crashes across Oklahoma and Texas as a powerful dust storm fueled by 60 to 85 mile per hour wind gusts dropped visibility to near zero along the highways and interstates on Friday. So several people were also injured including two paramedics after a multi vehicle crash involved an ambulance during the middle of the dust storm near Blackwell, Oklahoma. Continuing. While many parts of the US were preparing for severe weather to the north, winter weather was the concern. Residents across the northern Plains and parts of the Midwest face the powerful winter storm that unleashed strong winds, blowing snow and plummeting temperatures and create blizzard conditions and hazardous travel. The Fox forecast center said the wind gusts were up to 50 to 60 miles per hour from the Rockies and Great Plains to the Great Lakes. So we got lifers in all those areas.
Cindy Overton
Yeah.
Woody Overton
And we love y'all. We, we know it. We've just a different storm through the hurricanes and stuff that we've been through and losing everything. Wow, that's. I mean there's no words to say it. It's like a migraine or a homicide. Everybody knows what one is but unless you're living it, you really don't know what it is.
Cindy Overton
And I can't imagine being in a tornado or I mean in the dust storm, you know, I mean you've been.
Woody Overton
In a hurricane that ripped the roof off the house. You're right. And you know, the floods and everything else. And I just remember the house in Mar Paul when you were a teacher and even the principal and other teachers and everybody came to help clear everything.
Cindy Overton
Out this time of year.
Woody Overton
I remember one lady was like from Kansas Somewhere and she had a whole car full of like T shirts and socks and underwear and toothpaste and stuff she bought on her own money. And she was just driving down her street, which is dead End street on an island and handing out supplies. And I remember after that big hurricane when we lost the house, Shane drove in from Wisconsin, got his big trailer, went to Walmart, bought out everything that they had and came down. And even if we lost our home and we were out power at the country place, the we went and we.
Cindy Overton
Cooked for the surrounding communities.
Woody Overton
Yeah. So, well, we started in East Luciana. We cooked for, you know, we fed everybody and then the next day big pots of jambalaya and then beans and barbecue and. And the next day we went to St Helena Parish, which was really bad hit, but it's not, it's really, really rural. And we went and Nate Williams was the sheriff and we went there and we cooked for all his officers and the firemen and the paramedics and whatever. But you know, unfortunately these things happen, but they bring out the best in people. I think some shitheads that, you know steel generators and loot and stuff like that, them, but brings out the best and the worst and you never know what's going to happen. But all these people lost their lives and that's the ones that they know about.
Cindy Overton
Right.
Woody Overton
Think about the homes that are leveled that have people buried underneath them.
Cindy Overton
Yeah.
Woody Overton
And so I'm sure that death toll is probably already risen by now.
Cindy Overton
Injured that.
Woody Overton
Yeah, yeah. That are injured forever.
Cindy Overton
Yeah.
Woody Overton
And I'm sure some people lost kids. I'm sure some people lost their moms and dads and, and everything else and in. I don't know, it's. It's horrible, it's tragic. But we pray for y'all and you know, we're thinking about you for sure.
Cindy Overton
So that's very sad.
Woody Overton
That said, let's get on to some true crime time for St. Patty's Day.
Cindy Overton
Alrighty. We're gonna go to England.
Woody Overton
Oh, it's time for worldwide crime.
Cindy Overton
We're going to Northampton, England where a 13 year old has murdered a mom of three.
Woody Overton
Okay.
Cindy Overton
By catching her house on fire.
Woody Overton
Nice.
Cindy Overton
Yeah. So the teen was arrested on Monday, March 10th after the 43 year old mother of three was found dead inside a residence. The 13 year old has been charged with murder of the woman in England. I don't know where her, her three kids were, but thank goodness they weren't part of it. The North Hampshire police shared in a press release that the teen obviously can't be named for legal purposes, was charged with arson with the intent to endanger life. She was arrested on Monday following the discovery of a body in a house in Newcomen road shortly after 3am that morning. Formal identification has yet to be confirmed, but the woman is believed to be 43 year old mother of three Marta Bednarzak. And police added a forensic postmortem investigation which took place today at Leicester Royal Infirmary gave the preliminary cause of death as being a result of sharp force injury.
Woody Overton
Nice stabbing.
Cindy Overton
Yes. Authorities said that police and the fire department arrived at the house after reports of a fire and Bednar Zix body was then found inside the property by police officers with paramedics declaring her dead at the scene at 3:29am local time. The teen is set to appear at Northampton magistrate court on March 12th and this evening we have formally charged a 13 year old Wellingborough girl with murder and arson and she will appear before Northampton magistrate court at 10am tomorrow. Detective Chief Inspector Johnny Campbell, the senior investigating officer with East Midland Special Operations Unit said in a statement. I want to take a moment to thank the many police officers and staff who are working and continuing to work tirelessly in this investigation since the very tragic events of early yesterday morning. And in particular, all our thoughts are with Marta's family who have been fully cooperative throughout what has been a devastating couple of days for them. And given the developments this evening, we will make no further comment at this time. So obviously investigation is in process and I hope that we have an update soon.
Woody Overton
That's.
Cindy Overton
They don't have like a moat. I mean.
Woody Overton
Yeah, I mean like there's a lot more to it, right?
Cindy Overton
Yeah.
Woody Overton
You don't just set fire and stab somebody there for no reason.
Cindy Overton
So many kids doing so many horrible things. It's like an epidemic.
Woody Overton
It is unreal, y'all. If you see the stories and these are the ones we never hear about a lot. Most of the ones that we tell you about.
Cindy Overton
Yeah.
Woody Overton
And when we're reading all these stories, it's like, geez Louise, which one do you say? But we could do just a whole show just on teens. Teens. Yeah.
Cindy Overton
Or just. I mean there's even younger children that seemed, you know, 10 children.
Woody Overton
Anybody below the age of 17. How about that?
Cindy Overton
Yeah.
Woody Overton

Yeah. Here's another. It's time for worldwide crime. And technically they haven't called this one a murder yet, but I'm gonna pretty much tell you. I don't know if they can prove it. Pretty much tell you it's gonna be a murder. But do you remember the case of Natalie Holloway?
Cindy Overton
Of course.
Woody Overton
For those of you who are too young, which probably a lot of you. I remember when she went missing on her senior trip in Aruba. And I want it so bad. I was. I was a young detective. I want it so bad to go down there and try to find her.
Cindy Overton
Yeah.
Woody Overton
And yorn Bender Sloot or whatever, he ended up years later, he beat the charges. His daddy was judge. And they never found her body. Her mom and dad, you know, everybody went. They were from Alabama. Yeah, everybody went. It was just a tragic, tragic thing. But he ended up getting convicted in like Brazil or somewhere years later, murdered another girl in a hotel room. And he's in prison. Fuck him. He tried to get the mama over the years. He was like, oh, give me $10,000, I'll tell you where our body's at and all that. But tragic, right? Priming your life, you go do your stuff. Well, spring breaks, I've been to about a million of them. Yeah, we used to just drive down in the middle of the night and spring breaks going. People don't realize that it's not just one week. Like the northern colleges have off early, then the southern colleges and the change. So it goes on for like a month and a half, two months. Back in our day, you know, you go to Club La Villa and Cash's and it was the big right. And drink all day on the beach and party all night and everything. Now, I mean, I'm talking 30 plus years ago now. Everybody goes out of the country, they go to Mexico. And unfortunately for this young lady, she went to the Dominican Republic. This has been going on for over a week. And we're gonna do all the hashtags and everything in for it so you can link. It's so many news stories about her and I don't get her name wrong, but it's Sudhekasha Konakia. So S U D I K S H A Last name K O N A N K I. She's 20 years old, right? And she went down to the Dominican Republic with her people to party for spring break. Totally a rite of passage for college students that get it, they've done it. And it's just, you know, you work out all year long so you can go to spring break, be swole and stuff like that. And you go down there to have a good time. And now one of the biggest clubs down there, it's, it's like $90 is the cheapest ticket, but you get in and they have like three different theme areas and it's all you can drink that's the cheapest. Like they have Mad Max and then they have just different things. It's like a big ordeal in world famous clubs. People say, you go to Domino Republic, you got to go to this place.
Cindy Overton
Okay.
Woody Overton
And so she went down there and she went to that club. And then later, about 4 o'clock in the morning, ish, her and some friends or her and a group of people went to the beach.
Cindy Overton
Oh, gosh.
Woody Overton
And they have it on camera and everybody else left the beach except for her. And this a guy who was on spring break from the University of Pittsburgh. And naturally she comes up missing.
Cindy Overton
Yeah.
Woody Overton
And they find the footage and they find the guy and they pull his passport. Now, I'm paraphrasing from all the different stories I read, okay, they pull his passport and they go aboard. His ass sweating pretty hard. Evidently he told a bunch of different stories. Now his family is all up in arms saying, oh, they interrogated him without legal, yeah, whatever, blah, blah. And we're hiring lawyers and all that, so let me just tell you about it.
Cindy Overton
He's not in the United States, so.
Woody Overton
Well, yeah, you're right. The man last known to be seen with a University of Pittsburgh student before she vanished from a beach. And the doctor gave more details to local prosecutors about the last time he saw her. And this, according to the Dominican news station notice. Sim Su ki, who is 20 years old, disappeared from the beach of the Rue Republic Hotel in the early hours of March 6, which set off a big ass search for. Right. Which got all the authorities involved from the Dominican Republic and the United States and India where she was born. Now, the man who's with her at the beach, Joshua Stephen Ribe, told prosecutors he and Kanaki were hit by an intense wave. They were swept out to sea and he came back and the water. And the water somehow magically returns. Right. And so Rivy is a 22 year old American. They say he is not considered a suspect in the case and has not been accused of wrongdoing. That's not. Not what I read on some of the other stories. Right, right. So the Dominican Republic attorney general interviewed Ribby Saturday as part of the investigation into her disappearance. And according to a source with firsthand knowledge of the interview, that's what the attorney general himself. Yeah, it's. It's a worldwide story right up to this point. This was his fourth interview with police.
Cindy Overton
Okay.
Woody Overton
All right. And during his fourth interviews with the prosecutors on Wednesday, Revere described a harrowing attempt to save Kanaki after they were jostled by the wave and she got tired of swimming. He said, it took me a long time to get her out. It was difficult. And he said he was trained as a lifeguard but worked at pools, not at the beach. He said, I was trying to get her to breathe the whole time. That didn't allow me to breathe all the time. And I swallowed a lot of water. I could have lost consciousness several times. When I finally reached the ground on the beach, I held her in front of me. He said he last saw Kanaki when she was walking in knee deep water. He said, the last time I saw her, I asked if she was okay. I didn't hear her answer because I started vomiting up all the seawater I had swallowed. After vomiting, I looked around and I didn't see anyone. I thought she grabbed her things and left. I felt very sick and tired. I lay down in a beach chair and fell asleep. I couldn't go far. So look at. This is a picture of him.
Cindy Overton
Oh, gosh.
Woody Overton
Just a baby, right? He said. Then they said the sun and biting mosquitoes woke Ribby up. And he said he went to his friend's room to get his phone and then went to his room to go to sleep. I was sleeping in the room and my friend asked me if I had seen her. I told him no. I thought she'd gone to her room. Now, his friend told him Kanaki never returned to her room, which Ruby said, I'm surprised. So when asked if he saw her after the night on the beach, Ruby said, after I saw her walk away while she was walking in the water, I never saw her again. Kanaki's sarong style cover up was found in Aloudin's chair on the beach, but there were no signs of violence. Violence and photos of the light cover strong. The flip flops on the lounge chair were attained by the same use channel. So I said, I'll put the chairs up at night. So Ruby has declined to answer some of the prosecutor's questions in this according to the transcripts with said News Channel guide. Detectives with the sheriff's office in Loudoun County, Virginia, where Kanaki's family lives, conducted an extensive interview with Ribby on Thursday afternoon with his father and attorney present. The detectives will be returning to the US On Friday. But since the incident, Ribby, who was in the Dominican Republic on spring break vacation with a classmate, said he has only been in his room being interviewed, and he's a senior at St. Cloud University in Minnesota and is majoring in land survey and mapping services. His parents, Albert and Tina, expressed their sorrow for Kanaki's family. We wish contribute to the search efforts and understand the anguish and uncertainty they are going through, they said in a statement. Ribby has been cooperating with law enforcement but was detained under irregular conditions and questions without official translators or legal counsel until March 12, his parents said. Now CNN has reached out to prosecutors about the allegations, Ribby being interrogated and all that. Well, translator, lawyer and prosecutor said, we ain't saying shit at this time, so But Ribby has remained under police surveillance in his hotel room and taken to the police station for interrogation multiple times, which compelled the family to retain a lawyer to initiate legal actions ensuring his safety and protection rights. But his parents describe him as a beloved brother, son and a friend, known for his kind nature, sense of humor and commitment to his community. They said, our only interest is that due process be respected and that actions be taken with the fairness that the situation requires. We share the hope that Sadiski I'm sorry y'all, if I get it wrong, will be found as soon as possible. And his aunt asked for privacy and said, our family is going through a very difficult time right now. We're experiencing a lot of sadness and pain and we kindly ask for privacy as we navigate this challenging moment together. What the about the girl, right? So I'm about to tell you so the moments before she disappeared, Ruby said he first met Kanaki in the hotel when he and his friend introduced themselves to her and her group, and Kanaki was at the resort with five other female students from the University of Pittsburgh. The two friend groups went to the bar together where they drank until someone suggested we go to the beach. This what Ruby said in his interview, and two of the females, thankfully for them, stayed behind. Kanaki was last seen on surveillance camera with seven other people entering the beach at the Ruhr Republic Hotel after 4:15am on March 6 before heading to the beach. Surveillance footage shows the group of Americans, Kanaki and five other women and two men had been drinking in the hotel's lobby around 3am Around 4:55am Thursday, Savannah's cameras captured five women, one man, leaving the beach, while Kanaki's bleeds have stayed behind with the other young. And the surveillance video shows him leaving the beach at 8:55am and when the Kanaki did not return her room, her companions start to search for her, and then they call the cops. Right then the group reported her missing to the hotel staff around 4pm on Thursday. So it's been a minute.
Cindy Overton
Yeah.
Woody Overton
It says she had gone to the Punta Kunk Cana for spring break. And this is what her dad said. He said, my daughter is a very nice girl. She's ambitious. She wants to pursue a career in medicine. And Kanaki's father wants local authorities to also investigate other possibilities, including whether this is a case of kidnapping or human trafficking, which we got some of that coming up. He said, we don't think she would be able to survive for more than three days in the water. And I think something else might have happened to her. So the. The sheriff's office in Loudoun County, Virginia, urged caution around the public speculation, which I guess is what I'm doing about her disappearance. And they said there's been a considerable public speculation about what may have happened to Kanaki and who may be involved. We caution anyone from drawing any unsubstantiated conclusions and are committed to ensuring that a thorough investigation is conducted before now. Yes, it's the U.S. sheriff's Office.
Cindy Overton
Mm.
Woody Overton
Get the fucking authority down there. You don't know what's going on. And do I think this dude is Yorn Banderslee? That's her. Is. Is Jorn Bandersloot or whatever and, you know, murdered and hit her body? I don't know. But he gave, like, the other three stories I read. First he said they were swimming, and then he said he. He fell asleep and she left. And he changed the story like three or four times. I don't know.
Cindy Overton
How do you not get. I don't know what the word is. It's a very specific word. How do you not just hone in on him and not look at other angles when he's the obvious one?
Woody Overton
Well, you got to hone on in on him until you can prove it otherwise.
Cindy Overton
And right now they're not.
Woody Overton
Can't prove it otherwise. But the deal is whether he was fucked up, which I'm sure they were even drinking after they all. You could drink at that bar, that famous place, and then they come to the hotel lobby to drink at 3 o'clock and at 4 o'clock they've been drinking for another hour. They go to the beach, put a group up. I'm not, not throwing shade on anybody. Yeah, but you know, because people go to the spring break the screw, right. Drinking screw and say that maybe they stayed on the beach for whatever reason. But come on, man, you know, if you almost drown to the point where you were throwing up and you fell asleep and you wake up. I don't know, maybe it was so, so fucked up. He doesn't know. I don't know. But.
Cindy Overton
It seems like there's enough cameras around there to where they would see her show up somewhere else.
Woody Overton
No, she definitely did not leave the beach.
Cindy Overton
Right. That's what I'm saying.
Woody Overton
Your flip flops and your, your rap and all that.
Cindy Overton
Yeah.
Woody Overton
You went to the beach for the last time.
Cindy Overton
Yeah.
Woody Overton
And I hate it. I hate it for all of them. Hate it for the families. I hate it for her friends that left her behind. I don't know what's gonna happen. I mean, I don't know how you prove one way or the other.
Cindy Overton
Yeah.
Woody Overton
Other than he lied like four different times. I've already changed the story.
Cindy Overton
Well, that's lying.
Woody Overton
One of them, one of them has got to be alive. One of them might be the truth. You don't know.
Cindy Overton
No. And that's just really sad.
Woody Overton
Yeah. I hate it. I hate it for all of them, you know. And Cancun become the real hot spot. And the cartels made an agreement to stay out of Cancun during spring break. Except to sell. Go in and sell drugs.
Cindy Overton
Yeah.
Woody Overton
But not to fight each other. And then they. That all up and start shooting inside the tourist zone and, and all that. So people are. Or searching different places where they can go drink. These young kids say kid being 20 years old, although I. My firm belief always has been. And the drinking age was 18 when we came up.
Cindy Overton
That's right.
Woody Overton
But if you're old enough to serve in the military and die for your country, you're old enough to drink. And if you yak the ass, then, you know, get dealt with accordingly. What the two years or three years difference makes? I don't know.
Cindy Overton
I don't know.
Woody Overton
But. I don't know. I don't know. Prayers for them, hopefully. Yeah, I mean it's a big story that there's like 10 stores a day about her. Natural as it should be. But you know, hope they. Obviously she's gonna be dead regardless whether it's murder or not.
Cindy Overton
She.
Woody Overton
She's gone.
Cindy Overton
Yeah. Just the family's not gonna get a body.
Woody Overton
I think on like Natalie Holloway's case, I think way back in the day, you know, I'm sure that he was from the island and you were throwing by the rocks and the sharks were. Whatever you're not going to find, you might get lucky, find a hand or something. Yeah.
Cindy Overton
Goodness for big prayers and for all of the people that, I mean, there.
Woody Overton
Are millions of people.
Cindy Overton
And you know, those communities depend on that revenue Now.
Woody Overton
A lot of them have shut it down. Like Miami shut it down. Panama City and all of them down. The places they used to. They used to depend on. When we went in the. The main drag, it take you an hour to go a mile by. Everybody would hang out in the main drag and stuff. And literally a million people in there. Yeah. They're drinking, they're spending money and everything else. But it got to the point where the shootings and all that started happening. They were like, it, we don't. We don't want this anymore.
Cindy Overton
No. But they do depend on tourism. So Panama City, cleaning up its act and cutting that down helps families.
Woody Overton
It used to be. I remember when MTV was mtv.
Cindy Overton
Yeah.
Woody Overton
And they would do live from spring break from Daytona beach and then they moved it to Club La Villa and Fort Walden and. And all that. And we were there. I just. It's different now.
Cindy Overton
Yeah.
Woody Overton
And it's like going to, you know, Mardi Gras or New Year's Eve and your ones getting 20 something people getting killed.
Cindy Overton
Yeah, I was. Yes. One thing I never was able to do is go to spring break.
Woody Overton
Sorry for you. Me and your son made up for it.
Cindy Overton
Yes, you did. Yes, you did. We're gonna go to Arizona. Well, first of all, prayers for those families and everyone, you know, everyone involved. And I hope that they get answers and not live in questioning like now these families do. The. The not knowing has got to be that I don't want to ever be in those shoes. But the not knowing would kill me.
Woody Overton
Yeah.
Cindy Overton
Just. Anyway, now we're going to go to Arizona where a toddler found his stepbrother's gun.
Woody Overton
Oh, Lord.
Cindy Overton
Yeah. And now the. The stepbrother is now facing charges.
Woody Overton
Toddler.
Cindy Overton
They say how toddler is three. If I'm not mistaken, he's two years old.
Woody Overton
Yeah. I mean, toddler meaning that means like they can barely walk a show. Right. Literally because they're toddling still wearing diapers and stuff.
Cindy Overton
Absolutely.
Woody Overton
Yep.
Cindy Overton
So the Incident occurred on March 3rd at a resident in Tucson, Arizona, and a 2 year old. Right.
Woody Overton
And well, you met Cheryl Reed is who has the oat. No bed and breakfast, y'all. Have you ever over the Arizona way? I think she's a Prescott. Yeah.
Cindy Overton
Or Scott. Still.
Woody Overton
No, no, no. I'm almost a positive person. Cheryl's. I'm gonna look it up and we'll get it right for tomorrow's episode. But we are coming to stay at your bed and breakfast at some point and maybe we'll do a live podcast.
Cindy Overton
They make all their food fresh there. It's fresh ingredients.
Woody Overton
Absolutely beautiful.
Cindy Overton
Yeah. A two year old found a gun belonging to his teenage half brother. According to Pima County Sheriff's Department, deputies have now arrested 19 year old Jeremiah Vaughn and charged him with domestic violence, child abuse. The preliminary investigation revealed that the 19 year old Jeremiah Vaughn left the firearm within the child's reach, leading the child to gain access to the weapon and inadvertently discharging it, shooting himself in the hand. And so Vaughn was booked into Pima county adult detention complex and records show that a judge set bell at $2,500. The teenager has since posted Bell and is due back in court on Friday. And the Department of Child safety is conducting their own investigation into the incident. And the public defender representing Vaughn is in a separate case involving shoplifting charges but did not respond to a request on comment on this incident. So the 19 year old already has shoplifting charges and now he's got this on, on top. So he's, you know, I wonder if.
Woody Overton
He shot, lifted the gun probably right? It's crazy. I mean people, my house is full of firearms everywhere. My children, you can't train a 2 year old or 3 year old. But my children are taught that every one of them is loaded and there are no safeties, even though most of them aren't loaded and there are safeties. But you're. Yeah, you heard me say it a hundred times. Your finger is, is your safety. You can't pull the trigger. The gun doesn't accidentally go off.
Cindy Overton
Well, I, I know that the 19 year old is charged with child abuse, whatever, but he's two and it's not his children. I wonder if the parents are going to face any charges because it's their house.
Woody Overton
I mean, well, maybe how many people you go to charge? All they got to do is say they didn't know the 19 year old had a gun and they just like they didn't know he was shoplifting. He was a little thieving motherfucker. So. All right, I'm going to tell you a story to See if I can make you cry. One Saint Petty's Day. You ready? Are you ready? I'm pretty sure you. This is one of the most up ones we ever had. A pregnant teenager was killed after a woman cut her unborn child out of her womb. Oh, here it comes. But this is. This. I'm sorry.
Cindy Overton
Foreign.
Woody Overton
Well, this happened in Brazil. In a press conference held in Brazil on Friday, March 14, Civil Police Chief of the city of Wherever said that 16 year old Emily Azevedo Cena, who was nine months pregnant, had been missing since Wednesday, March 12. And guess what? They found her buried in the backyard of a home and the Adyan, Florida Lupus neighborhood on the following day. He said that a woman has since been arrested for the crime. Now, Albuquerque said the woman admitted to have an experienced miscarriage six months before, but she claimed she did not tell her husband or her family about her miscarriage and she continued to act as if she was pregnant. In an official statement released on March 14, the Civil Judicial Police of Mato Grosso said the police received a call from a local hospital on March 13 after a woman and her husband arrived with a newborn baby and that the woman claimed the baby was her own. Hmm. Prisons are full of dummies. And hospitals or staffs. Not a bunch of dummies, most of them. And the hospital staff were like, this shit don't add up. So they grew suspicious because the woman didn't have any signs of recent birth. Yeah. And so they called a popo. Popo rolled over to the hospital to investigate. And they talk to him. They're like, sugar's turning to shit. Yeah, this doesn't smell right. So they're also happy. St. Patrick, go to your house and check shit out. See what's going on over there. So they go to her house and that's when you've got your green.
Cindy Overton
I do not.
Woody Overton
After they found her body, police their ass. And they got the juice. And the suspect confessed to Emily's murder.
Cindy Overton
I'm Cindy over too.
Woody Overton
And she's going to be held responsible for three crimes. Homicide, concealment of a corpse. And check this one out. I've never heard this one before. Ever registering someone else's baby as her own, Right? Yeah, I never heard of that one. But I mean, it makes sense. Like you taking the baby. Let me just tell you, Russell, this is so fucked up. Authorities also said that Emily, whose body was found in the shallow grave with her stomach cut open, had met the suspect on social media and was lured to her home after the woman told her she had spare baby clothes available for donation up. Talk about premeditation, right? So the civil judicial police of Moto Grosso confirmed on Saturday, March 15, the investigation is ongoing that they are currently attempting to determine whether other suspects were involved in the crime. While speaking during the More for her daughter, Emily's mom, Anna Paula Merdine, said, I didn't just lose a daughter. I lost a friend, a partner and companion. And only those who live with her know how wonderful her heart was. And she didn't lose them. They were taking. How do you think. What do you think the chances are that you cut a baby out of another person's stomach and the baby lives? Not like this. You think she didn't clear her? Maybe it's on not Netflix, on YouTube. Hopefully the baby's alive. Registering the baby as. You're right. So you go to the hospital, I guess, to have the baby checked out and probably go in and be like, I had a baby and I want all my free medical care. I don't know how it works in Brazil. The life version that from Brazil, y'all tell us. But she goes to the hospital maybe to get some free titty milk. Yeah. Diapers or something. And maybe I have the baby checked out to make sure it's all good and healthy. Hell no. They're like, you just had this baby. You're looking pretty healthy there. Absolutely, absolutely. I mean, she's probably covering for him, right? She told him. Oh, I didn't tell my family that I had a miscarriage six months ago.
Cindy Overton
Yeah.
Woody Overton
You've been walking around with a pillow underneath you. What you been doing, bruh? Hold on. You know, I gotta ask on them, does Brazil have the death penalty? I found this on the web. So y'all, it says capital punishment is a long unused form. Doesn't mean it's illegal of punishment in Brazil. And the last recorded death penalty convict being executed in the country was in 1876. So although it's virtually abolished, it is still legal during wartime, whatever that means. And Brazil is the most populous country in the world that does not have the death penalty in practice. Isn't that crazy? Yeah. It's also one of seven countries to have abolished capital punishment. You have. I mean, whether the husband you or not, you had a miscarriage. You're walking around with a pillow underneath your shit. You send your husband out for vanilla wafers and hog head cheese at 3:00 in the morning because you know your fake cravings. I'm just making some shit up. Whatever it was that you had you sent me out at 3 o'clock in the morning for you better come home with that. And not a substitute for that because it'd be hell to pay. Just teasing. Back to this. Back to heaven. I was having sympathy cravings, but no back to seriously think about it. So you know the gig is going to be up around the nine month mark, right? So you know, you gotta, you're going to continue the charade. I mean, why the fuck wouldn't you just say I had a miscarriage? But you're going to continue to stray for six more months. You're actively searching social media. You find a girl who's bragging about her pregnancy and she's about to have a baby and you're like, oh, I'm gonna get that baby from her. Hey look, I got all these baby clothes, which I bet she did.
Cindy Overton
Yeah.
Woody Overton
People, she probably had reveal parties. Baby reveal parties she had. I don't know if they do that in Brazil, but she, you know, baby showers, gets all the presents and shit. She take pictures of them. Look, I got all these unused clothes. Why don't you come over and get them and we will cut that baby out your stomach. Fucking horrible way to die. And I mean it's one thing that you get murdered by yourself, but the, the when you, you would assume she was alive. When they cut the baby out and you realize they're taking you, not only are you dying, they're taking your b.
Cindy Overton
Oh, girl.
Woody Overton
Brazil needs a death penalty for this case. And then they bury the backyard. Anyway, that's it, y'all. They. So check this out. I got a little bit of a tease announcement. Cindy wanted me to do the whole thing, but I'm gonna do a special drop on it. So you know we told you about Saturday, July 19th. Real life, real crime live. And Ron unscripted old cops dory. Do our damnedest to get justice for Haley. And justice in this case would mean the district attorney actually taken and presented to a grand jury. And there's no way that a grand jury doesn't return a murder indictment. That's all Ms. Barbara wants. And if. If they take it in, the grand jury doesn't give it. She. She wouldn't like it, but she'd be okay with it. Yeah. I mean, Haley does not have justice, so. But anyway, thank y'all. Go download the Real Life Real Crime Community app. Still growing every day. I go there first every day and. And thoughts and prayers for everyone. They're infected by all those storms and everything else.
