Bringing it to you. Bringing it to you. Hot off the press.

Yeah. Hot off the coffee. Watching the does in the field. All right, so we love and appreciate each and every one of you. Thank you for liking and listening and sharing. Thank you, patronic convicts. Thank you to our national sponsors. And let's get down some true crime time.
Cindy Overton
For and we are number 66 and Daily News on good pods.
Woody Overton
Hey, thank you. That's a testament to you listeners. Thank you for listening. We love it, love it, love it, love it, love it. Gotta have it. And patreon convicts, you're gonna get the next episode. It's gonna be Ms. Lula Bell doing some more channeling, if you will, on hashtag just Bradley and hashtag just3AO. Please continue to call on your tips. 313RLRC tips. Kate's tip. The case is being worked and they might be liking us so much in burning parish, but that's okay that we just want justice. We don't care who gets it, who, who makes the arrest or any of that good stuff. Let's just get it done. All right, y' all come on. And keep calling in the tips. No tip is too small. Same thing for Ms. Barbara Blunt's case. And of course, we're waiting on the hashtag justice for Haley. All right, you go first. It's time for family matters.
Cindy Overton
We're starting off in Kernersville, North Carolina, and a family tragedy took a dark turn when a 28 to 35 year prison sentence was handed down for a crime that began as deception. Okay, so Donald Ryan Fink pleaded guilty to second degree murder after admitting he shot and killed his own 65 year old mother named Deborah Fink.
Woody Overton
Nice.
Cindy Overton
And he did this in 2023. Back in 2023, when police arrived at the scene, Fink told them an intruder had broken in and shot his mother. But soon investigators found inconsistencies, mostly no signs of forced entry. And Fink himself had conflicting statements. And his DNA was actually on the murder weapon. And there was gunshot residue on his hands. So days later, after the shooting, Fink confessed that he had staged the break in. He'd kicked in a door, called 911 and claimed the shooting was accidental. But the evidence didn't support that version. Prosecutors noted a troubling pattern. Witness had seen Fink with a gun after the shooting, and earlier in the day, he had pointed the gun at another woman. But at a sentencing on October 7th of this year, the court imposed a 28 to 35 year sentence behind bars, calling Fink's attempts to cover the crime with a false story and utter betrayal. So that's that. Starting off with that today.
Woody Overton
Well, that's true crime time for. For sure, right?
Cindy Overton
Yeah.
Woody Overton
It's time for family matter. So let's go to Indiana. And a mom in Indiana has admitted that she suffocated her nine day old infant by leaving him strapped in his car seat alone around 14 hours. Oh, my God, y'. All. If you hear any noise in the background, we got our grandbabies in.
Cindy Overton
It's actually your brother, I guess.
Woody Overton
My brother and my sister. My. My mother went, Alice. And she leaves her babies, her fur babies with us. And they, they love to stay in the studio. So I apologize about that. But anyway, this is a horrible story, naturally, but Riley Phillips, still Smith, who's 24, from Lawrenceburg, Indiana, pled guilty to reckless homicide and was sentenced on October 6th to serve six years in prison. And she pled guilty in the case of her baby boy, Emmett Phillips, who died after being left unattended in the seat for an extended period of time. And this. Another census. How. How do you leave your baby in the car for 14 hours?
Cindy Overton
I don't know.
Woody Overton
Well, six years isn't long enough to ponder, right? No, I mean, it's just. I don't get it. The. You just.
Cindy Overton
The other day when Sophie and I went to go get her dressed for the big event she has this weekend coming up, we stopped at a place to get a chicken to bring home. And when we were going into the place, there was a baby crying in a car and there was no. You couldn't see heads in the car. You could just see like a baby seat and there was no adult heads, you know, What I mean, like, no one else sitting in the car with the baby. And so I literally stayed outside. And Sophie's like, mom, what are you doing? I said, sophie, I do stories about this, it seems like almost every day. And I just want to make sure that. Because the windows weren't cracked on the car. I mean, not that that would even matter, but. And I was just like, whatever. So I told her that if this baby's still crying when we leave here, then we're going back in to find the. The person associated with the car. But the car was gone, thank goodness. But anyway, it was just scary to just to know that, you know, it's easier to go into a place without your child but don't have them if.
Woody Overton
Yeah, you know, like, I get it. May ask you a question. You ever heard of a rapper named Young Boy?
Cindy Overton
Can't say that I have.
Woody Overton
Well, in Columbia, South Carolina, Young Boy does like I do sometimes or, you know, get on stage. Little live performance. And Young Boy got on the stage and I don't know, I guess they didn't like his raps too much because they. Some of the fans start throwing at him now. If I'm ever on stage and you throw something to me, unless his panties just tease them, you throw something to me, I'm pretty sure you're gonna get your ass whooped, right? Because we always have security and. But Young Boy. Young Boy never broke again is the name of it. And he threatened to beat a fan after he get. He kept getting hit with objects during the tour stop in Columbus, South Carolina. Now, during the Young Boy's latest performance on Thursday, the rapper paused his rowdy set list to address a rambunctious fan in the crowd who kept throwing items on stage. He said, I had to calm myself down. Throw one more thing up here and I'm a whoop your ass, boy. Throw one more. So he went on to say, I beat you down. You throw one more item. You can play with me tonight if you want. This is Young Boy show. I know you ain't spend your money to come through this door to let no do a no ass here tonight. So anyway, this is the first time something contentious happened during Young Boys masa tour. And without explanation, Chicago's United center canceled Young Boy show back on September 23rd. And the venue was criticized by Young Boys manager over the act of them stopping the show. I'm pretty sure they felt it wasn't safe, he said on social media at United Center. Bitched out shout out to Joe Maya at United Center. He didn't want us to have fun. And no scary. Alexa Jr wrote attacking Maya, who appears to be the SVP of operations at Chicago's United Center. It's okay, everyone. Joe just sits behind a desk and got nervous. Well, footage also recently emerged of a fan involved in a fight with an elderly security guard. A young boy's Kansas City show. Young boy's business. And per KCTV, a 14 year old was detained for assaulting the T Mobile employee. Right, but you know what? Young boys from Bad Rage.
Cindy Overton
As you were talking about him, I felt like I'd heard just because of the kids something, but I couldn't.
Woody Overton
Yeah, well, they said young boy is going to continue his tour. They're like throwing drawers and not women's underwear, but like boxers and on the stage. I know, right? I would be personally offended by that. So there you have it. Young boy from Baton Rouge, Louisiana, getting pelted all over the country. Maybe it's a thing, right?
Cindy Overton
Maybe he didn't get the memo. I mean.
Woody Overton
I mean, if it's a thing, they do it everywhere he goes. So I guess the more he post by, the more it is a thing.
Cindy Overton
Copycat.
Woody Overton
Yeah, I guess. I don't know. Let's. Let's spend our money to go watch a live show and bring to Torah. So there you go. Yeah, give us what you got.
Cindy Overton
We have a woman named Martha Alicia Mendez Aguilar. She's known as La Diabla.
Woody Overton
Oh, the devil.
Cindy Overton
The devil woman.
Woody Overton
Right.
Cindy Overton
And she's been arrested by US And Mexican authorities and is accused of running a horrific cartel hacked network involving infant trafficking, forced surgeries and organ harvesting in Juarez, Mexico. Investigators say that La Diabla was part of a ring that targeted police pregnant women promising safe care and deliveries. But once in their custody, those women were subjected till two illegal C sections had organs harvested and their newborn babies were sold for as much as 250,000 pesos. Oh, which is about $14,000. And they sold these babies to families. In the United States law, supply and demand. Her arrest took place in Juarez, near the US Border and part of a. It was part of a joint operation involving US and Mexico federal agencies, which also included FBI's El Paso office. Officials say multiple agencies work together to dismantle this network. Of course, the case has ignited shock and outrage. It's being held up as one of the darkest examples yet of transnational criminal operations exploiting vulnerable women and children. The investigation is ongoing, and La Diabla now faces a web of charges for her role in the scheme that trafficked in infants and sold organs.
Woody Overton
So that's. That's kind of new even for me. I understand the traffic on horror, but then selling the organs, I don't understand it. But selling the organs, too. But the trafficking babies law, supply and demand. How you even find that network? Hey, you want to get. You might have another baby. Let's go on a war as and get a hookup with somebody.
Cindy Overton
Yeah.
Woody Overton
Whatever. Her name is Diabla. The devil lady. Yeah, she's. She'll die in prison.
Cindy Overton
Absolutely.
Woody Overton
So we're going to Connecticut, and this dude definitely deserves to die in prison. Let me check my calendar. Connecticut. Nope. No death penalty. Well, in Connecticut, that's. Well, this is definitely. It's time for family matters. And in Connecticut, a son executed. Now, Connecticut doesn't have the death penalty, but this dude can do it. A son executed both his parents in their home. Why?
Cindy Overton
They wouldn't let him play a game.
Woody Overton
Almost as bad after an argument broke out over his lack of contributions to the family. All right. And this cat, Javion Adams, is 25. Hey, y'. All. And he's got a ton of charges coming for the killings, including murder with sparse special circumstances, felony murder and criminal use of a weapon. He was also charged with burglary in larceny for a breaking in again the next day.
Cindy Overton
Great, right?
Woody Overton
This idiot. Adams. Javion Adams. He has had a pass of domestic violence and court records show that In December of 2024, Adams was charged with assault, strangulation or suffocation and risk of injury to a child. But he took it to a whole new level on Monday, according to authorities. And a verbal dispute is believed to have played part in Adam's mental state. You don't pay rent, you don't pay a bill, you don't even buy food. Carlene Williams, 51, could be heard screaming at her son on a surveillance footage which was reviewed by the Connecticut NBC affiliate wbit. Now Adams is believed to have replied with a chilling statement. I don't care no more what y' all say. That's your parents boy. But it was just wasn't a one time isolated incident. Now while I had his father, 55 year old Mark Adams, he didn't live there. The suspect often had quarrels with his parents, especially about him stealing money from his mom.
Cindy Overton
Jeez.
Woody Overton
The son shot his mother and father execution style. On Monday night, prosecutors said that Javan Adams shot his mom twice and his dad once in the back of the head before leaving the home in the Waterbury. It's crazy. Tuesday morning comes around and Javion Adams wasn't locked up yet. And at some point he broke into another home. I woke up, went out, shot my flashlight in my garage and he was waving back at me. The resident home told wbit. I told him to leave, get out, get out. And he just kept saying I'm hungry. He was super calm, super like passive. Well, Adams left and stole his mother's white Ford Escape. This is according to release from the Watertown Police Department and officers do what they do. They responded to the area Lake Winnemog Road and Sperry Road due to a report of burglary. It was around here when he was arrested. The department wrote that morning that he is potentially involved in an untimely death investigation from the previous night in Waterbury, which is about 15 minutes away from Watertown. Police think that he dumped a backpack, sneakers and the vehicle in the area. Well, they got his ass and he's expected to be Arraigned in court and he's being held on the $6 million bond. Now, in Louisiana, murder with special circumstances get you the death penalty. In Connecticut. It carries the harshest penalty of any crime in Connecticut, which is life imprisonment without the possibility of release. Wow, 25 years old, you better be paying something. Yeah, right. Love our kids to death, but you ain't living here for free.
Cindy Overton
Right?
Woody Overton
So. And, but you know what? Our kids wouldn't kill us either. Over. We told them that. No, you don't pay your rent. Kill, killer. Kill, kill, kill.
Cindy Overton
Just kill him.
Woody Overton
Kill them. There you have it.
Cindy Overton
I'm gonna take us to Louisiana.
Woody Overton
Louisiana. I don't know if the sportsman's paradise.
Cindy Overton
I don't know if I've ever actually had a story from Louisiana. All right, we have a 15 year old girl who was trafficked across the state.
Woody Overton
Oh.
Cindy Overton
So on the evening of October 10th of this year, a 15 year old girl walked into the Super 8 Motel on Sherwood Forest Boulevard. I can picture it.
Woody Overton
Say it again.
Cindy Overton
On October 10th of this year, a 15 year old girl walked into the Super 8 Motel on Sherwood Forest Boulevard.
Woody Overton
I used to live right off of there on boulevard to Province and which.
Cindy Overton
Is in Baton Rouge. And made a desperate move. She reached out for help. Hotel staff contacted authorities after the teenager confided that she was being trafficked. Within minutes, Louisiana State police and local officers arrived. And when troopers arrived around 7pm they found the girl in one of the rooms and recognized definite signs of human trafficking. And she told officers that she'd been moved around the whole state of Louisiana, forced into prostitution by a 22 year old woman.
Woody Overton
Really?
Cindy Overton
I mean, 22, you would have to think she was trafficked herself.
Woody Overton
I mean, she's 22 or she's working for somebody.
Cindy Overton
Tamara Courtney is the woman's name and she's from Baton Rouge. Courtney was arrested on the spot. And at first she told investigators she barely even knew the teenager, claiming they had just met up in New Orleans and later shared a place to stay in Baton Rouge. But that didn't really hold true. The teenager told police she had been coerced with drugs, specifically marijuana and methamphetamine, and that Courtney kept her phone from her, cutting her off from all contact with the family. Detectives say that Courtney used threats and addiction to control the girl. And she was between always between New Orleans, Baton Rouge and sometimes. The little girl didn't know if she was out of state, but she felt like she was under questioning. Courtney admitted that her boyfriend in New Orleans was paying for the Lodging, food and daily expenses. And investigators say he instructed her that if the 15 year old asked for money, she was to say that she's getting money because he's paying for your. Yes. Your food, your hotel room, which was a clear indication that the teen sexual exploitation was being used to fund.
Woody Overton
Not throwing shade on Motel 6, where they leave the light on for everybody. But it ain't the best.
Cindy Overton
Well, it was Super 8. It wasn't.
Woody Overton
Well, this guy is Super 8. Same thing. That's even a step lower.
Cindy Overton
Yeah, well, they, when they.
Woody Overton
It's not like they were putting up the Ritz Carlson and. And you know, it doesn't matter. Regardless, it's up.
Cindy Overton
Well, when the girl reached out and did what she did to let them know she needed help, they. They did it. Which is amazing.
Woody Overton
Yeah, that's awesome.
Cindy Overton
Yeah.
Woody Overton
I'm still saying this. Super 8. I have.
Cindy Overton
We have. We have. We.
Woody Overton
We did have saved in some sketchier places than that, but it is what it is.
Cindy Overton
So. Police believe that the pair brought the teenager to Baton Rouge to profit from Southern University's homecoming weekend.
Woody Overton
They travel everywhere. That's big. That whatever sporting events and what have you, they bring in prostitutes.
Cindy Overton
So just to conclude it, there's a couple more things. But she's now safe and receiving support services, which is what I wanted to say. Thank goodness she had the courage to, to reach out for help. And once she did, she got the help she needed.
Woody Overton
Well, I'm glad for that. Right. And hopefully, I don't know, prayers for them. It's time for beast mode. Going out to Union City, Georgia, and I'm gonna play this for you. Animal Control fired.
Denise Dillon
Plus a major shakeup in how investigations are handled. All this after a woman died after being mauled by a pack of dogs. Foxwise, Denise Dillon is live in Fulton county tonight. Denise, police are also saying no charges will be filed.
Cindy Overton
Yeah, that's right.
Denise Dillon
They say that because. And even though they presume Donna Wynn was attacked by a pack of dogs.
Cindy Overton
They don't know which dogs did it and who they belonged to.
Woody Overton
We're not going to be able to make any charges in this case.
Denise Dillon
The Fulton county police chief says they can't charge anyone in a deadly dog attack because there's no way to determine which dogs attacked 62 year old Donna Wynn last August in UN there were.
Woody Overton
Zero witnesses to this. There was no video to this. All we had was someone calling the police saying, I hear a woman screaming.
Denise Dillon
Wynn was rushed to Grady, where she died two weeks later. Last week, we told you A union city police officer was fired for the way he handled the case. The chief said it took him about 30 minutes to respond. And he's not the only one who lost his job.
Woody Overton
Two Lifeline employees have been terminated.
Denise Dillon
The county has a contract with Lifeline to handle animal control and the shelter. In a statement, Lifeline said one of their employees failed to report the incident to leadership or Fulton county officials. That employee and her supervisor were fired. According to the police report, the detective wasn't even notified about the attack until two weeks later, well after four dogs had been euthanized.
Woody Overton
It wasn't just a little dog, but, you know, she was mostly molded to death. I feel like somebody should have been notified day one.
Denise Dillon
The county will handle future cases differently.
Woody Overton
Our police department will now be more actively involved in animal control.
Denise Dillon
Donna Win's son still wants someone to be held accountable.
Woody Overton
We're all. Her and I agree about. It's not something that we wanted to hear, but we're going to continue to keep pushing forward, you know, through some type of justice, you know. How in the. Do you not call a detective when. Well, I understand it took her. Basically. She was murdered every day for two weeks. Yeah, but I saw the picture during this broadcast, and this lady is on, you know, breathing machine and all that, and she is ripped to shit from head to toe.
Cindy Overton
The.
Woody Overton
How do you not call a detective and it takes you 30 minutes to get there as a cop? I mean, I'm pretty sure it came in as a medical call with dog attack. I mean, don't you think that the. I mean, you know, the dogs are still running around. They killed four of them. Euthanized for them. The. They don't know which. They really that up because they said, we don't know which ones did it, but we just youth and ass. But the thing is, what if a kid came walking up on it while they're tearing her up and then attack the kid? Yeah, you don't call a detective. You don't even report to your supervisor. That woman was fucked up. Yeah, they. I mean, now there's a new policy procedure in their manual because some idiot cop and lost his job because he. Yeah, no big deal. I bet he didn't go to hospital to see her.
Cindy Overton
Well, I'm sure he didn't.
Woody Overton
Yeah. Wow. I don't understand that.
Cindy Overton
I certainly don't.
Woody Overton
In Louisiana, we don't have a leash law, but you have a law against allowing your dog to roam freely. Can't do it like our kids that are here in the room. The One that's over there licking himself.
Cindy Overton
Yeah.
Woody Overton
Y' all probably heard that in all the air.
Cindy Overton
The.
Woody Overton
They can't be running around. Even though we're on a couple hundred, 500 acres, they can't be running around technically free.
Cindy Overton
Yeah.
Woody Overton
But that's just in case they bite somebody. Yeah. And that you gotta have. God damn right.
Cindy Overton
This is what Honey was saying.
Woody Overton
Yeah. He got the itches. Yeah, that's all. The dog's got an itch thing, too. I'm praying it's this time of the season, our baby, that. That stays with us full time. And we've tried three different medications and stuff, and it's not working.
Cindy Overton
And Rock is on his third, too, and it.
Woody Overton
Yeah, I think he's on his third or four. He's on the shots now, so I don't know what's going on with that. That's a crime in of itself. I hate to see him sitting there. Go scratch, scratch, scratch, scratch.
Cindy Overton
Because imagine if you itch like how horrible that is.
Woody Overton
They itch it to. It's a bald spot. Yeah. Anyway. All right, well, Fulton County, Georgia, that's pretty much where Haley's case is. And waiting on that.
Cindy Overton
So when the police officer went, he had to do a report. Does anyone in any chain of whatever look at that report? He turns in the report, and it doesn't go to a suit. I mean, like, there's no. As long as. I mean, I'm sorry.
Woody Overton
I tell you how it used to be for. For us. Since. Of course. How come about 30 years ago, the. Every report that was written, whether it was the theft of a garbage can or dog bite or whatever, it went up and it got distributed to the detective. And there were only eight detectives.
Cindy Overton
Right.
Woody Overton
So that I'd have a stack every day on my desk and I would look at it. And if it didn't show any suspect, it went in the round file.
Cindy Overton
Right.
Woody Overton
And the. Unless somebody called about it just. It didn't get looked at because you had way too many now. I mean, Sheriff Harden now have like 40 detectives. So in all specialized divisions, which is how it should be if you have the manpower. But somebody should have done some.
Cindy Overton
She went to the hospital. I mean, she didn't just go.
Woody Overton
She died.
Cindy Overton
Well, I know. Two weeks later.
Woody Overton
But she didn't go to the hospital of her own care. She was tore.
Cindy Overton
Exactly.
Woody Overton
Any the.
Cindy Overton
And there was no follow.
Woody Overton
I mean, and I. How rare is it nowadays nobody has a camera.
Cindy Overton
Yeah, yeah.
Woody Overton
What. Whatever. I don't know how they followed up and killed four dogs That's.
Cindy Overton
That was my next question.
Woody Overton
First four on the street, scoop them up.
Cindy Overton
Yeah, they're the one that's the bad guys.
Woody Overton
And your animal control. We didn't have animal control either. And I've told some stories about that. Like the lady wanted me to get. Get do a rape kid on her horse because she was sure her horse was being right. Well, no, it was. This one wasn't. I have had a horse getting it. This horse wasn't. And anyway, I don't know. I don't know. Takes all kinds to make the world go around and to make a true crime show time. Show roll, that's for sure.
Cindy Overton
So, goodness gracious, I saw a meme or whatever you call it the other day that said, if a dog can be killed, euthanized for killing a baby, why can't a human be killed for?
Woody Overton
No, no, let me back that up. It's time for beast mode. So it's a beast mode again. And we're going to up warm. Waterbury, Connecticut, and police arrested a couple living in a trailer at a storage facility on West Main Street. After what? Well, I already told you speech, man. But after finding numerous dead animals, this according to the police. Waterbury police charged Courtney Beardsley, who's 26 years old, and Johan Delgado Lopez, who's 37, both from the township of Waterbury. They charged him with 31 counts of animal cruelty. Wow, 31 counts. All right. So the officers responded to the Storage Rentals of America after receiving an anonymous complaint regarding a female reportedly living in a trailer with a large number of live and deceased animals. That's nasty. And police said the couple lived in the trailer with dead and live animals. So the Gato Lopez was arraigned on Wednesday. And it's not a. That I don't know about Bearsley yet when she's going to be around. Prosecutors said 20 dead cats and one dead dog were found, and some of the dead animals were stored under a trailer and some in a cooler.
Cindy Overton
Why?
Woody Overton
Delgado Lopez told police he intended to bury them, but he didn't have the funds or the time. This court of Deputy assisted State's attorney Ryan Polly. Mr. Degato, I'm pretty sure that's not an excuse, but his attorney, Kelly Pettit, said the incident took place on the premises where his girlfriend lived.
Cindy Overton
And what's that have to do is.
Woody Overton
I have no idea. Anyway, y', all, that's, that's, you know, beast mode. Beast, my. How nasty do you have to be? I've been in some nasty places like with roaches crawling on me and like that. But you living with dead animals. Yeah, I mean, you, you think they need a psych evaluation or, or they just. They just what Eddie Murphy say use a nasty.
Cindy Overton
They're just nasty. Drugged out that they don't even.
Woody Overton
Oh, yeah. I didn't think about drugs. You're right. Who the fuck has 31 animals anyway living inside?
Cindy Overton
And so he doesn't have the money.
Woody Overton
To bury what the fuck they eat.
Cindy Overton
How much money do you need to bury.
Woody Overton
How much money do you need to feed 31 animals?
Cindy Overton
Well.
Woody Overton
And then it's. And poop and, and everything else. Well, you know what? I just went in Rome and went on the kick. Let me just go ahead and. It's time for beast mode. I did not intend to turn this show and take over your stories and everything else, but we are this time going. It's time for worldwide crime. This time we're going across the pond and a daddy and daughter just mosing along down the street. And daddy got bit by a dog. Why? Because he was trying to shield his daughter who had just been attacked by the same animal. I mean, that's. You know what? Me and that dog gonna fucking dance. You kill me, but you're not gonna kill my baby. Now my baby's all grown, but little Embrae, I would own even my own dog. That's be a dead motherfucking dog. Right? That's just the way it goes. So the dog was a pocket bully breed and it ran from its owner, Catherine Road R O a D in Burng, Grieve, Sheffield. And it bit the girl, injuring her shoulder during the incident. Well, dad jumps in to try to protect her as any good dad would. And he got bitten on his right arm while trying to protect his daughter before the owner got control of the dog. And then what did the owner deal? He ran like a little. In this case, it's. She not a. He ran like a little. So your dog attacks a little girl, then attacks the daddy. You run over, you get control of it, you know, might want to stay around and give a little first aid and make sure they're okay. Right. Do everything. No, this. This runs. And so South Yorkshire Police release details of the incent which took place on Friday. And they urged the dog's owner to step up and take responsibility for their animal.
Cindy Overton
Right.
Woody Overton
Well, Inspector Steve Usher from the Dangerous Dogs team, them serious dangerous. The Dangerous Dogs team said, well, what do you do for living? I'm inspector for the Dangerous Dogs Team.
Cindy Overton
You would be the DD Tea.
Woody Overton
Right. They said the. The force received an average of 5 calls per day reporting dogs that cause fear or harm. You know, we used to get a ton of animal calls and we had to work them all. We didn't have any animal control officers like it be a cow on the road or. I had to. Unfortunately I've had to shoot a couple dogs but the. That were trying to, you know, one of them like on my leg, but almost shot myself in the leg. But anyway, he said seasoned dogs and investigating incidents could ultimately be avoided and put unprecedented demand on the force. Well, if you are the chief inspector of the dangerous dogs team, I guess I'd say you do have a problem.
Cindy Overton
Yes.
Woody Overton
Right. That's because they don't have any firearms. They ain't got any dangerous dog team in East Fleece, Shannon Parish. Because people. Yeah, the Pew Pew team. Anyway, the. I don't know but investigation has been launched and the dog believed to have been involved remained in police kennels. So they got the dog but not the owner. Said they police said, your dog is your responsibility. You will be held accountable for his action if it is harms or causes fear to anyone. And that's all according to the South Yorkshire on BBC. So the. I don't know. So let me tell you a little bit more about it because the. I'm not throwing any shade on any breed of dog, but I know Ingham is different than us. They already had banned what they call the XL bullies.
Cindy Overton
Yeah.
Woody Overton
And I guess, I mean, you know, technically you could do that here if you. If it wasn't America. Certain breeds tend to have more, but it's not really the breeze, it's the people.
Cindy Overton
Yeah.
Woody Overton
I know people who have Rottweilers and, and, and pit bulls and that are just the best dogs ever.
Cindy Overton
Yeah.
Woody Overton
But also Rottweiler that ate an old lady that raised him. So I don't know the.
Cindy Overton
But when. Just not to interrupt you, but when. When we had the litter that kept the tails, the English springer spaniels, and they ended up having to keep their tails on them because I was sick when they were delivered and I couldn't get them to get their tails clipped and I started researching. England has outlawed clipping English springer spaniel tails. You have to get special permission to do so and they want your breed of dog to stay as pure as possible.
Woody Overton
So anyway, well, they clip them here because most of them are used for hunting and they run into the briars. Never seen a dog that doesn't have his tail done. And like A rabbit dog, whatever. That then the day their hotel be shredded.
Cindy Overton
Yeah.
Woody Overton
And.
Cindy Overton
And they in England will give permission, but you have to get it to clip the tails for that reason.
Woody Overton
All right, let's go by. Let's go back to England. Okay. All right. So they had a dude, Michael Carpenter, and he was packing up after a camping trip in Leicestershire county with a big group of friends earlier this year when a woman in his party realized she lost her car keys. So he's a good gentleman. He said, I'll help you find him. And so they start looking around a car. Michael says that her dog, which had been sitting inside on the passenger seat, jumped out the window and bit him. Yep. No good deed goes unpunished, right? He says I hit him and it ran around, attacked me again. I tried to kick it again, lost my balance. And then the man owner managed to call it back. I'd be dead if that hadn't happened. It was, he believes, a ban XL Bully doll. Now, Michael, who's 58 from Birmingham, says he went to the hospital where he was X rayed and given a tetanus shot. And though he reported to police, they did not pursue it. He must not been there for the dangerous dog committee or whatever the fuck it's called. So he didn't stop there. He reported and shared it to your voice, your BBC News. And he's concerned about the levels of irresponsible dog ownership in the country and the number of attacks despite the XL bully ban. Listen to this. This why they have a dangerous dog committee. In all, there were 31,920 dog attacks on people recorded in England and Wales in just 2024. And that was a. A 2% increase over 2023.
Cindy Overton
That's.
Woody Overton
And the look this. England ain't the size of America.
Cindy Overton
No, that's what I'm saying.
Woody Overton
And this according to the Freedom Information figures obtained from police forces. And this may not even show the full picture as three police forces did not provide usable data that they are a good friend. The inspector from the dangerous Dog Committee or whatever it's called. All this despite the Excel Bully ban that came into in February 2024. And the ban was intended. I don't really agree with. You should, you know, you should be able to own what you want to as long as you're responsible for it. But the ban was intended to help reduce the number of people injured by dogs. And the overall figures have continued to rise. They said part of the problem is just how divisive this issue is. The sheer level of polarity makes agreeing on a solution extremely difficult, as does the highly emotional nature of the debate. On one side are people who say they're vilified for loving their pet, which they claim poses no greater risk than any other dog if trained properly. On the other, campaign groups including Bully Watch are adamant that bully type dogs present a much bigger risk than other breeds. And what everyone agrees upon is that an agreement that the status quo isn't currently working. And that's why they have the Department of Doggy Defense or whatever it's called. There's one lady, Vivian Lee is the anomaly. She works as a plastic surgeon in Manchester and is one of the only people we the the this media spoke to that that believes the current system is working. She said some of her patients are victims of bad dog attacks. And speaking about the XL bully ban back in April, she said, we're still seeing some serious injuries, but some of the worst ones have been less common. Well, you know what I got News tip or public service announcement 1410 your dogs like you kids, I mean we got. We feed them every day, we make sure they're safe and everything else, but if you dog bites somebody, you know, raise it right. Do something. It's not the dog's braids part. And then what do you think they did? Did they just go door to door like the fucking Nazis and. And seize all excel pit bulls?
Cindy Overton
I mean they might have made them turn them in just like.
Woody Overton
Yeah, okay, I'm pretty sure. Just saying they can say, okay, well weapons or firearms are now illegal in the United States. Woody, over to everybody. Turn your in. I'm pretty sure you never get my. I lost them all.
Cindy Overton
Didn't they have to register them? Wasn't there like a system set up where they had had to like register to claim them?
Woody Overton
Don't know. Don't know. I guess we're researching for the next cell boy. I'm just thinking how do you enforce that? But they got to the super doggy danger division out of the.
Cindy Overton
It was 34000 in 2024.
Woody Overton
And I wonder how many start until February 2024 and started keeping accounts.
Cindy Overton
I wonder how many of those dogs turned on their owners.
Woody Overton
What percentage that won't turn on me but once.
Cindy Overton
Exactly.
Woody Overton
That'd be one less dog you'll never get a report on.
Cindy Overton
Right, but you have the means to do that because you can have.
Woody Overton
Well, you don't have to have a. A firearm to kill a dog just like a person, you can stab it with a knife, you can set it on fire, you can run over with your car, you drop it out a window.
Cindy Overton
I mean, anybody's gonna do those things.
Woody Overton
This bites you, you might. If it kills, it attacks your daughter.
Cindy Overton
Yeah.
Woody Overton
And you don't have a firearm and you don't want to report it.
Cindy Overton
That's just.
Woody Overton
That's all right. We're speculating. Sorry. Ended up being a beast mode Thursday, y'. All. But I don't have anything else. Do you? No. Take care of your pets. Take care of your kids. Love one another. Quit all this killing and raping and murdering. Then we'll be out of a job.
Cindy Overton
Hey, we'll find a new thing.
Woody Overton
Yeah, that's true. We love and appreciate each, every one of y'. All. And I'm Woody Overton.
Cindy Overton
Cindy Overton.
Woody Overton
Holler. Peace. Foreign.
