Hello everybody and welcome to this episode of true crime. Time for Wednesday, October 8th, 2025. And I'm Woody Overton.
C
I'm Cindy Overton.
B
And going to start out today pretty close to home. Another tragic, tragic day for law enforcement going to Iberville Parish. You know, I know a lot of the guys there and, and one of them send, you know, Brad Trull, he's a detective. He's a senior detective there now. On October 7, one deputy was killed and another was seriously injured in a shooting at the Iberville Parish Courthouse on Monday night. Local officials said the two deputies were shot by a suspect at the courthouse before 8pm Sources said one of the deputies, whose name is Charles Riley, died after being rushed to the hospital. The district attorney, Tony Clayton, who's a friend of ours, said that the other injured deputy is Brett Stasi Jr. And he's the son of the sheriff, Brett Stasi. Right. He's a good, good guy. Been sheriff there forever. They said. Please pray for the deputy we lost and their family and continue praying for Sheriff Stasse's son. Every loss of an officer hits hard. Pray hard, attorney General Liz Morrell said in a statement. Now parish president Chris Daigle asked for prayers for the Bill Parish community and for Sheriff Stasse's family. Said it's a sad day today at Invernell Parish and we're praying for all those involved. So y', all, on Monday night around 7:50pm they were deputies were interviewing A suspect about. I believe it was a rape charge. Anyway, the. He got one of the deputies pistols and started shooting them. He grabbed the deputy's gun and fired multiple shots, striking two deputies before being shot and killed by law enforcement. And his name is. This piece of shit's name is Latrell Mikael Ornie Clark and Charles Riley, the. The deputy who's deceased, he was shot in the abdomen and they rushed him to hospital by private vehicle. They didn't want to wait on an ambulance. Right. And to the rush into Ochsner Hospital in Everyville. And he died from his injuries. He's got a wife and three children. Sex Deputy who is Sheriff Brett Stasse's son. Brett Stoss Jr. Was shot in the side and airlifted to Baton Rouge and he's now out of surgery. Listen a critical but stable condition and he's lost a lot of blood, his kidney, spleen and part of his pancreas and a section of his colon because of the gunshot. And they say he's probably going to need additional surgeries and he's not out of the woods yet. So the course of State police are taking over the investigation because it involved law enforcement and there's not a lot else available at this time. But that, that everything I saw, I didn't know Charles Riley personally. I do know a lot of those guys and it's just, it's, you know, it's across the river from Baton Rouge and south just a, you know, a really good department. They're very proactive. You never hear anything bad about them. I. I just found Karen Chala who's a good friend of ours who has unfiltered with Karen. Let's listen to her report.
D
Breaking news coming out of Iberville Parish where a shooting at the Iberville Parish Courthouse Monday night has left one deputy dead. Another deputy in critical condition being airlifted to Baton Rouge and the suspect dead. It was around 7:50 on Monday night when gunfire erupted as deputies were interrogating a man from White Castle at the courthouse. The suspect reportedly grabbed a deputy's gun and fired multiple shots, hitting two Iberville Parish sheriff's deputies before being shot and killed himself. Now, one of the deputies is Sheriff Brett Stassey's son. As I was telling you, one of the men were transferred to was transferred to a hospital. He has died at Ochsner. Iberville Sheriff Stassi's son being airlifted to the hospital in Bat Rouge. He is listed in critical condition. Just moments ago we spoke to District Attorney Tony Clayton on The latest been shot.
B
They were interrogating a suspect from White Castle and by the potential violent link charge and broke out. The suspect was able to get several shots off, including two deputies. One of the first pass was done.
D
We are continuing to follow this. As soon as we get more information, we're putting it out on all platforms. What I can tell you is that Sheriff Stassey is asking for all of your prayers. No names of the deputies. The other deputies should I say has been released at this time. No names on the suspect yet. We will continue to update you on all platforms of.
B
Well, we know. We know who the deputy is now. Like I told you, it's Charles Riley and in by all accounts and everything I read he. He's a young and upand comer and. And I told you he's got a wife and kids and yeah, it goes to everybody that. That's. Especially a small department like that, like Livingston was back in the day when I worked for him. You're very, very, very tight. And then, you know, I can only imagine. I mean it's. It's the sheriff's. Any sheriff's worst nightmare that one of your deputies get killed and then on top of that your son is shot in it also.
C
Yeah.
B
And what are they doing? They're interviewing a piece of shit. Right. Suspect. And Yeah, I mean, I don't know what else to say. Prayers for all of them great bunch of guys and. And doing their job, protecting us from a rapist and hell or jail on him. And I guess he chose hell.
C
Yeah.
B
So there you go.
C
Paris. To all of them. The whole community.
B
Yep. And it's really a small community, you know. And so I'm guessing the courthouse is, you know, like the courthouse in Livingston, the old courthouse where our offices were. The sheriff's office is inside the courthouse, you know, and. And that's where our interview rooms and everything were. And. And I'm assuming it's the same in every parish, but it is what it is. I don't know.
C
So.
B
All right, what do you have that's hard to. It's time for worldwide crime.
C
And we're going to Leningrad region, Russia.
B
Right.
C
It's a very rare place for us to go.
B
We probably will go to.
C
I mean on the. On the show, but. Yeah, I know we're. I know that's on our. On our list. Right? On our bucket list. Well, we won't be doing this. I know for a fact but at least 25 people are dead and several others hospitalized after drinking vodka that was tainted with methanol.
B
Hmm.
C
The poisoning occurred in the Kingasap district of the Leningrad region, west of St. Petersburg, between September 25th and September 27th of this year. The bottles were, of course, counterfeit vodka that were distributed across several small towns and they were sold at the equivalent of $1 each.
B
Yeah.
C
Investigators with the Russia's Investigative Committee say The victims purchased 1 liter bottles of bootleg vodka for the. Like I just said, the equivalent of $1 each. And tests later revealed the alcohol contained methanol, which is obviously a toxic industrial chemical often used as antifreeze or solvent.
B
Yeah. Well, let me tell you what. Interrupt and tell you when you're making. That would have been a shine running a stripping run and not corn is. It's like moonshine, but you can make vodka. And so the. When your alcohol first starts to cook off, the first probably a couple ounces you want to throw out. I never swim used to do this, but I never threw it out because I would keep it and use it as lighter fluid for barbecue pit. And that's stuff that makes you go blind. And the people is like, oh, well, moonshine to make you go blind. No, not if it's done correctly, but you have to throw it off. Now the reason you don't throw it off is because you're an asshole and you don't want to lose that amount of profit being mixed in.
C
And it's just.
B
Or you don't know what you're doing. Yeah, yeah.
C
I mean, in a large gallons of stuff is just a couple ounces.
B
These are people like cutting shit with fentanyl. They don't care. Yeah. So they just trying to make maximum profit and it will absolutely kill you.
C
Yeah. So of course, it goes on to say, unlike ethanol, the type of alcohol found in legitimate beverages, methanol can cause blindness, organ failure and death, even in small quantities.
B
But it came from alcohol. It's not like they add one ball methanol and poured it in alcohol. It's during the process they just didn't throw it out.
C
And you could call that the head or swim would call. Is that.
B
No, it's just the force. The four shots.
C
That's right. The victims, ranging in age from the 30s to 60s, reportedly began falling ill within hours of drinking the vodka. Hospitals in the region soon reported a surge of patients with symptoms of severe alcohol poisoning, including blurred vision, vomiting, and loss of consciousness. Local health officials confirmed that at least 25 people died while others remain in intensive care. Police quickly traced the source of the liquor to an illegal production and distribution network operating inside the Leningrad region. And three suspects have been arrested, including the alleged manufacturer of the counterfeit alcohol and two sellers accused of distributing the bottles to local stores and street markets. Authorities have launched criminal cases under Russia's law against producing and selling goods dangerous to public health. Methanol poisonings are not new in Russia, where the sale of unlicensed alcohol remains a recurring public health crisis. The investigative committee has ordered mass seizures of unregistered vodka and warned the public not to consume alcohol of unknown origin. But officials say the investigation is ongoing as forensic experts test additional seized bottles and determine the contaminated alcohol may have spread.
B
Yeah, it sounds like it was a large scale operation. And there you go putting just stupidity. I mean, really is just don't give a. And we're just going to sell it all. And people, of course people are going to buy because it's cheap and probably didn't have to pay taxes and. And whatever. Right?
C
Yeah.
B
So, all right, it's NFL football season and college football season and everything else. Right. And you know, if you play in the NFL for more than a couple years, that's really considered long term. I think it's. If you play for four years, you get full retirement and all that. Yeah, well, some people after retirement go on to be broadcasters and, you know, they're very famous. And usually that involves having to be drafted in the first round of the draft and being famous from college and, you know, having a pretty good career and all that stuff and got to be good looking and everything else. Right.
C
Show worthy and actually be able to talk.
B
This one is crazy. And in. So the former NFL quarterback Mark Sanchez. And we're going to Indiana. He was rushed to hospital with critical injuries in Indianapolis one Saturday morning after he was stabbed in the chest during a dispute with a food delivery driver. Yeah, listen to this.

RLRC so police were called to downtown Indianapolis at around 12:30am following reports of a disturbance and they got there and they find two injured people, one of whom was Sanchez. They now Sanchez is now 38 years old and he was in town to cover Sunday's NFL game between the Colts and the Las Vegas Raiders as a commentator for Fox Sports. Yeah, dude's got it going on, right? Yeah. And now he's recovering a local hospital in stable condition. According to Fox 59 anchor Angela Gano, Sanchez was not cooperative police when they first arrived on the scene, he and she said that another man listed as the victim in the police report and foreign cops said he was delivering food when the Fox commentator being Sanchez told him he needed to move his vehicle and he couldn't park where he was. Now Sanchez is accused of threatening the guy, following him and attacking him. Then the guy tries, I mean he's food delivery driver. I'm assuming most of them carry pepper spray. He tried to pepper spray him but was unsuccessful. And he said, hey, that's when I had to pull out my knife to defend myself.
C
Yeah.
B
So officers noted that the victim had a significant injury to his face and. But at this time, I'm reading you this. Sanchez has not yet been interviewed by police, But a separate Fox59 report claims he was stabbed in the chest during the altercation which took place near Loft Miller's Pub and Eatery. Now, the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department released a statement on Saturday afternoon regarding the incident and they must have been Sunday afternoon. But anyway, which took place on near West Washington Street. They said the incident involved two adult males resulting in one man receiving lacerations and the other sustaining injuries consistent with stab wounds. Detectives believe this was an isolated incident between two men and not a random act of violence. Both individuals, who are not local residents, have been identified aggravated assault. Detectives are continuing the investigation and have reviewed video footage of the incident. So you can say, hey, I'm Mark Sanchez, I didn't do shit. Well, guess what? They got you on video, right? Both men have received medical treatment. The man with the stab wound remains hospitalized in stable condition. Now Sanchez is married to American actress Perry Matfield. Sanchez played 10 seasons in the NFL with the New York jets, who picked him with the fifth overall pick in 2009 draft. So he was number five picked in the whole world. Yeah, the. Anyway, so he also played with, with the Eagles, Dallas Cowboys and the former Washington Redskins. And he spent time with the Denver Broncos and Chicago Bears despite failing to make an NF appearance. NFL appearance for either team. So he's getting shipped around because he's. He kind of sucked. He was, he was a big letdown. But before moving up to the big league, Sanchez led one of the best teams in college football at usc. Now the ex football star is also a big name away from the sport given that he was romantically linked to the likes of Eva Longaria, Kate Upton and Jamie Lynn Sigler in. In past years. And now he's married to Hollywood star Matt Field after tying the knot in Oaka, Oaxaca, Mexico back in May of 2023. And they have. The couple have two children together after Perry gave birth to twins in March. Sanchez also has an 8 year old son, Daniel, from one of his previous relationships. So the. I mean, I don't know y'. All. The. The. I guess it'll come out the.
C
What messes your day up so much that you're going to do that?
B
It's midnight, it was 12:30am and it's not even your city. Why you telling this dude he can't park there and then you roll over into a fight.
C
Yeah.
B
Which Leads to you being stabbed and probably jail time and everything else.
C
Yeah.
B
Who knows? We'll see if he's innocent or guilty. But you got video. Yeah, you got video. You're making millions of dollars. Until you weren't.
C
Jeez, that's sad. Got the world by the horns.
B
And you did.
C
Right. And choose to make that decision. We all are. One decision away from changing our life.
B
Changing greatness or proof.
C
That's right. Yep. I'm going to go to Missouri. Did you want to go?
B
No.
C
Okay. I'm going to go to Atchison County, Missouri.
B
All right.
C
And we have two 12 year old girls who vanished after a Friday night football game and they've been found safe in Indiana. A 22 year old Arizona man is now in custody on kidnapping charges. So authorities say Dustin Allen Hill was arrested Saturday, September 21st in Evansville, Indiana after a multi state investigation involving the Atchison County Sheriff's Office, the FBI and the Cyber Crimes Task Force. Hill is accused of abducting the girls identified by family members as Emily Harrington and Emma Sue Hale after they attended a football game in Rockport, Missouri on Friday night. The two were last seen at the stadium around 8:40pm but they. And they never returned home. So they were reported missing. And deputies found one of the girl's cell phones abandoned near the football field, which obviously prompted an intensive search that quickly turned into a suspected abduction. Investigators analyzed phone records and electronic data linked to the girl's devices, uncovering messages and phone logs tied to heal the abductor. Surveillance footage soon placed him at a Super 8 motel. He had checked in the day before the disappearance and he was wearing a black Tupac T shirt. Additional video from a gas station near St. Joseph, Missouri showed a white SUV with what appeared to be a young girl in in the passenger seat, which was a key lead that would ultimately guide the search out of state. And using those digital and video clues, authorities tracked Hill's vehicle to Evansville where the same white SUV was located in a parking lot. Both girls were found safe and unharmed, thank goodness. And Hill was taken into custody without incident. He was booked into Vanderbo County Jail and charged with two counts of kidnapping, with additional charges possible as the investigation continues.
B
That's enough. Yeah, well, thank God. And hopefully they hadn't been raped and everything because that's what he was going to do. Rape him and kill him or sell them or do whatever. You don't kidnap somebody just, you know, because you like their companionship. Right, Right. So because this is so far out there and weird Sam, it's time for worldwide crime. Worldwide crime. And the new music I played ahead of time, we're gonna name that probably like the strangest shit ever. Okay. Going to Germany and y', all, this one is long and distinguished and it is bizarre to say the least. So they had a dude named Armin Mewees M E I w s in Germany in the town of Rodenburg. And he lived there and in his old house. And all his neighbors said he was a perfect neighbor. He mowed their lawn, he fixed their car, he invited them around for dinner. And they, they, the people in the town say they believed there was nothing strange about this 42 year old computer expert. And they said that his lights would sometimes burn late into the night inside his old mansion. All right, well, this is out there. Are you ready? Yeah. In December of 2023, he got hauled into court and charged with killing and eating another man. And this is according to the Guardian, they said this is one of the most unusual trials in German criminal history because this dude is a self confessed cannibal. And he admitted that he had met a 43 year old Berlin engineer, Bernd Brandy's after putting an ad on the Internet and he had chopped him up and eaten him. And it was something he had wanted to do for a long time. Well, during the trial, the case showed that Millie's had fried and ate 20 kilograms. And I'm thinking y', all, that's two and a half per kilo. So that's 50 pounds of meat off this guy. Anyway, he ate 20 kilograms of his victim who had agreed to be killed then. And this led to what they're calling a shocking gap in German law. So the case proved difficult for German lawyers who discovered that guess what? Cannibalism is not illegal in Germany.
C
Wow.
B
I guess they never tried it for a polish. No, no, no, no, no. Stay tuned. Don't, don't jump in yet. The but so cannibalism, I guess they never had that in their policy and procedure manual yet because they never had tri symbol, so they couldn't charge him with that. So they charged him with murder for sexual pleasure and disturbing the peace of the dead. But he's got a very unique defense, y', all, because his victim actually agreed to be killed and eaten. I never. Wait, listen to this shit. It goes all the way back to March of 2001. Mewes puts an ad on the Internet. He said, I'm looking for a young, well built man who wants to be Eden. I said, you can't make this Shit up.
C
It's not funny.
B
So on the evening of March 9, the two men met in me's farmhouse. Me, we just like you ready homeboy? And took him up to his bedroom and. And he gave Brandes 20 sleeping tablets and half a bottle of snobs. Okay. I guess it had desired effect. And knocked Brandy's out. And then what me we began to do or what did he do?
C
I don't know. I don't.
B
He cut off Randis penis and with his agreement, and fried it for both of them to eat. So Brandon isn't even all the way out yet. Cuts off his penis while he's awake and fried him. And they. They dined on. On that delicacy right together. Now Brandis by the stage is bleeding heavily. And then he takes a bath while me was read a Star Trek novel.
E
So in the early hours of the.
B
Morning, he killed Brandis by stabbing him in the neck with a large kitchen knife. But he kissed him first.
C
That's so sweet, right?
B
This is so crazy. He kissed him first. Then he chopped Brandeis into pieces and put several bits of him in his freezer next to a takeaway pizza. But Brandis skull, he took that out and buried in his garden. Over the next few weeks, he defrosted and cooked parts of Brandis in olive oil and garlic. In eating 20 of what y' all from 50 pounds of human flesh before police finally showed up at the store. So behind bars, Mewes told detectives said he had eaten his victim with a bottle of South African red wine, had gotten out his best cutlery and set his dinner table with candles. And I always wonder what human flesh tastes like. Well, according to me's west, he said he tasted of pork.
C
Pork.
B
Pork.
C
That's interesting.
B
The key part, and this is. This is what's really crazy, team. The key part of the case was a horrific videotape made by me with of the entire evening, during which Brandez clearly shows his consent. Yeah, so dude is not making it up.
C
Yeah.
B
In January of 2004, Accord and Cassell found me guilty of manslaughter and sentenced to eight years and six months in prison. But they got an appeals process evidently also. And he got another trial in May 2006. But in this trial, he was found guilty of murder and sentenced to life in prison. And they said this case remains one of the most bizarre true crime stories ever recorded. And you only hear it here on True Crime. Time for Pork Wednesday.
C
Pork Wednesday. I'm never gonna eat pork again.
B
Cut off his penis. Dude's still alive and ate it. But at least he read a Star Trek novel. And it's a almost as important deviant to do it is to record it. And now Germany has a cannibalism all you can't eat people in Germany anymore. Shoot up. We're not going to Germany. No, it's not making light up. But you don't mean to do consented to it.
C
No, he did consent.
B
He consented. I mean he wanted to be killed and eaten.
C
What would make someone do that?
B
I mean if you could answer that.
C
I know.
B
All right, what you got? It's time for family matters.
C
Well, mine is not that but it's still horrific. We have we're going to Nashville, Tennessee and we have an 18 year old man who's been arrested on six outstanding warrants tied to two domestic incidents this year in which police say that he choked, kicked and tried to stab his pregnant girlfriend. Then he later threw bleach in a family member's eyes. So according to Metro Nashville police detectives located Brandon Grigsby on Wednesday night, which was going from September 24 to September 25. And they watched him get into a BMW with a 16 year old driver. And when officers attempted a Traffic stop near I24 east by Briley Parkway, the driver fled. So ultimately the car was disabled. There are certain stories that say they were disabled. The way you talked about like yesterday, the sticks that they throw.
B
Yeah. Spike sticks.
C
Yeah. But there's no like for sure that that's how it was disabled. And when it was disabled though both of the people in the car were taken into custody. Inside the vehicle, police recovered about 40 grams of marijuana and a pistol. Investigators say two of the indictments that they have for the 18 year old man stem from a May 14th assault in which Grigsby's pregnant girlfriend reported he choked and kicked her like I said earlier and tried to stab her in the stomach. After she forced him from the residence. He fired shots in the air and said that he was going to shoot up the home. The other two indictments related to a June 15 incident in which Grigsby threw bleach into the family member's eyes during an argument. And police records note that initial charges in both cases were dismissed in July for witness availability, but the matters were later brought back via grand jury indictments. So following last week's arrest, Grigsby was booked on the outstanding indictments and he now faces counts of felony weapons possession and possession of marijuana tied to a traffic stop. And police say that the 16 year old driver was Charged in juvenile court with felony evading arrest. Local outlets reported the arrest occurred after detectives tracked Grigsby to his mother's home on Holland Lane. And court records list multiple open cases and show an upcoming court appearance on October 22nd. That's just. He was just going crazy. Yep.
B
Crazy, crazy, crazy. All right, go on to Tennessee. And I think there's only one woman on death row in Louisiana, and that's. What's her name. That the story on the New Orleans cop that killed her partner and other people. Her. Anyway, Tennessee evidently has only one woman on death row also. So let me play. See if I can play this. And guess what? Tennessee. I'm looking at it on the map. They say they got a moratorium or a hiatus on the death penalty. But check this out. Execution dates are now set for two.
C
People on death row right here in.
A
Tennessee, including one for an inmate who would be the first woman put to.
B
Death in more than 200 years.
A
Krista Gale Pike's execution date is set for September 30, 2026. She's convicted in the brutal killing of.
D
Colleen slimmer back in 1995.
B
Pike's boyfriend at the time was also.
A
Convicted in the murder.
B
Anyway, y', all, let me tell you about it. The. That's crazy. This first woman in 200 years. But the Tennessee Supreme Court set the execution date and that she was arrested and convicted for the 1995 murder and torture of Colleen Slimmer. And this case is commonly referred to as a job court's murder. And her and her boyfriend, Tadel Shipp and a Shadowlah Peterson. Now, Slimmer was hit on the head with a piece of asphalt, which killed her. So prosecutor said pike kept a portion a slimmer skull after the killing. Well, you always got the other side, right? Pike's attorneys released the following statement. We are disappointed in the Tennessee Supreme Court order that grants the state of Tennessee's motion for Christa's execution. We remain steadfast that Krista's death sentence should be commuted given her youth and severe mental illness at the time of the crime. Krista was sentenced to death in 1996 for a crime she and two others committed when she was just 18 years old. Krista's childhood was fraught with years of physical and sexual abuse and neglect. And with time and treatment for bipolar and post traumatic stress disorders, which were not diagnosed until years later, Krista has become a thoughtful woman with deep remorse for her crime. Well, anyway, you know what? There's lots and lots and lots of lots of people who raped as kids and abuses kids and have million illnesses and everything else that didn't do what they did. So y'. All. The pike committed the torture and murder of Colleen Slimmer who was her classmate. Right. Said that Crystal became jealous of her job corpse classmate 19 year old Colleen Slemmer who she believed was trying to steal her boyfriend Tadrell Ship from her now friends of Slammer. I hope I'm saying the name S L E M M E R denied the accusations along with the friend. Shadow of Peterson is 18. Pike planned to lure the victim to an isolated abandoned steam plant near the University of Tennessee campus. And on January 12, 1995 Pike, Ship, Peterson and Slammer signed out of the dormitory and proceeded to the woods where Slimmer was told they wanted to make peace by offering her some marijuana. Upon arrival at Slud location Slimmer was attacked by pike and Ship while Peterson acted as a lookout. According to court testimony for the next 30 minutes slimmer was taunted, beaten and slashed and a pentagram was carved into her chest. Finally, pike smashed Slimmer's skull with a large chunk of asphalt killing her. And pike kept a piece of Slimmer skull. Pike began to show off the piece of skull around the school and the three were were arrested within 36 hours. The logbook showed that Pike, Ship, Peterson and Slimmer left together and only three return. The detectives found the piece of the skull in Pike's jacket pocket and soon after her arrest she confessed to police of the torture and killing the Slimmer but insisted they were merely trying to scare her. And it got out of control. Right. The I mean crazy because she thought she was still in her boyfriend.
C
Exactly.
B
College 18 year old kids. Oh you know what? She was well enough to be admitted into the University of Tennessee.
C
Exactly.
B
Everybody's got to have a defense say I guess. And that poor girl. I mean 30 minutes of beating and torturing and I don't know if you can get much more personal than smashing somebody's head when in with a piece.
C
Of concrete and then you take a piece of the skull and you.
B
What about carving a devil worshiping pentagram into the chest? Yeah, that takes a minute.
C
Takes a whole minute.
B
So therefore you have the death penalty and I guess, I guess my chart will have to be changed from yellow to red if they actually get through it. 2026 is a long ways away. Yeah for that. So I'm sure they're going to appeal it some more.
E
But anyway, love and appreciate each and.
B
Every one of y'. All. Thank you for liking and listening, sharing and all that good podcastership hashtag just for Bradley and AO being worked every single day. We're going to release something different this week for all you locals there. It's going to. You'll know the places and then. And things that are being talked about way better than me, but we'll get it out. All right? And then the following week, we're gonna have Thomas Davenport, attorney at law, on to discuss the case because we're coming to the point where people got to get a little help.
C
Yes.
B
And so Ms. Barbara Johnson, I read last night in her page, has like, stage one heart failure. So, Ms. Barbara, we're going to give you a call this week. And they. She said that she heard from a victim's advocate last week who acted like she didn't know anything about the case. I understand that maybe the girls can you or whatever, but we just. I'm gonna give them just a little bit more and we're gonna drop hammers on them, drop balls on them if need be. The again, the longer investigation takes, the better it is for you. Or if. If you're a victim's family. Even though she says they haven't talked to her, any of friends, whatever, that doesn't mean they're not talking to the employees at the restaurant and all the different things. And they don't know they might be talking to that best friend and he's going to testify, keeping it on download. We don't know. It's all speculation. But one thing I do know is they haven't come back and said, no, we're not prosecuting this case. Yeah, that's. Every day that doesn't happen is a good day.
C
And they will do that.
B
Absolutely. At some point if they. If they like, sorry, we can't help you. They're going to have to have that conversation. If they have that conversation, then we'll burn the world down. And. But anyway, I understand everybody's impatient. Not. Yeah. Impatient and has doubt because they fucked it up from the get go. But this is a new da and I know she's putting, you know, doing all these posts on Facebook about different things that they're doing. Well, you know what? They're doing a lot more on the table that you don't know about. And that's the last time I'm going to defend them. We're going to see what happens. But I'm Woody Overton.
C
I'm Cindy Overton.
B
We will holler at y' all tomorrow. Right? Guess what? A grandbaby's coming to town. Hey, for San Diego. Well, for California. Right? Can't wait for that. And maybe we'll get her on the microphone.
C
Oh, my gosh.
B
All right. Love y'. All. Holler at you later. Peace, Sam.
