Cindy Overton
I'm Cindy Overton.
Woody Overton
Boom. End of September. October is upon us. Coming in and unfortunately got another everybody knows about it by now but some more information has come out the Michigan on Sunday at another church the you know mass killing. Yeah and I'll tell you about it that it's horrible in our hearts and prayers go out to these people. I don't understand it. I mean I just. I just don't. But they've identified the shooter now so the police identify the gunman who killed at least four people and injured several others during the services at the Michigan Mormon Church on Sunday before setting the building on fire. And he's 40 year old Marine veteran who served in Iraq. Thomas Jacob Sanford was named by authorities as the man who rammed a Chevy Silverado truck into the Church of Jesus Christ Latter Day Saints in Grand Blanc Township Michigan before opening fire on the hundreds of worships who gathered their worshipers. Sanford then set the building on fire before being killed by the police officers who responded and they said they believe Sanford used accelerant likely gasoline to start the fire. He's the lone suspect at this time. He served in The Marines from 20042008 had been to Iraq etc who cares. He's a piece of. Yeah he. He had a wife and a son and yeah but they said he drove his vehicle through the front doors of the church his corner police chief he then exited his vehicle firing several rounds at individuals within the church. Ten gunshot victims have been transport to local hospitals and this was obviously on Sunday and one who has died. Two responding officers confronted Sanford and exchanged gunfire with him and they killed him. He was armed with what appeared to be a rifle and the initial report that one person been killed and hours later you know the confirmed the second victim died at the hospital and the church that y' all was a massive fire and they pulled it two additional bodies out the church on Sunday evening and I don't know that's four and and they think there might even be more. The whole building was. I mean it's a big charge. The whole building was just Bart. Bart burnt and and I mean express ticket to hell for you buddy. No motives, no nothing. There's none of that's come out yet.
Cindy Overton
I know I was gonna say that their speculation because one of the other high church leaders died the day before and so they're checking a connection between that.
Woody Overton
Yeah they're checking everything I know they, they. You know, there's other stuff about. About his life and all that, but him, he doesn't deserve it. Yeah, no excuse. Evil is real. You know, I don't get it, y'. All. Hashtag just for Bradley. Hashtag just for AO continue calling you tips 313RLRC. Tips tip. And of course, hashtag just miss Barbara blind and hashtag just for Haley is coming. I will talk to Ms. Barbara this week and we'll see what we need to do another episode. But to me, no use is still good news. It means they're investigating. But we shall see, right? And prayers everybody in Michigan.
Cindy Overton
So for sure, it's just sad, sad, sad. Well, I might have a kind of good, bad story.
Woody Overton
It's time for worldwide crime.
Cindy Overton
So between the years of 1991 and 1993, Sydney, Australia was terrorized by a predator who became known as the Moorpark Rapist and then later dubbed the Night Stalker. And he targeted women, often near train station. And he lured them in under false pretenses like job offers or cleaning gigs, modeling work, all of those types of things. But then he assaulted them at knife point. In secluded parts of Moore park and the surrounding Sydney suburbs, a task force was formed. But they never found anybody, you know, once they established that task force. So the rapist escaped detection, and the case went cold for decades. But In July of 2022, the New South Wales police, using their sex crime unit, their strike force ger tab, those two units reopened the cold case of the Night Stalker. And they linked four of the assault cases to one single DNA profile. So because the perpetrator's profile DNA did not match any offender in standard DNA databases, investigators turned to familiar DNA.
Woody Overton
Right.
Cindy Overton
They discovered that the DNA profile matched that of a relative, specifically the daughter of the suspect. And they placed the unidentified rapist in a lineage connected to her. Using that lead, police narrowed it down to Glenn Gary Cameron. And at that time in 2022, he was 61, and he lived in Alice Springs, and he worked as a funeral director, Mortic. So fast forward to June of 2024. Police took steps to confirm Cameron's involvement. They set up surveillance at Sydney International Airport, knowing that Cameron would be traveling. And while he was at the airport, authorities covertly collected items. He had used a beer glass and a fork from his table at the bar that was inside the, you know, inside the airport. And obviously the idea was to obtain DNA without alerting him. They collected the DNA, and it matched to the crime scene profile, confirming that Cameron was, in fact The Night Stalker. And with that confirmation, detectives arrested him shortly after. So Cameron was arrested in February of 2024 upon returning through the Sydney International Airport. He ultimately pleaded guilty. This year, in September, and he pled guilty to 13 charges connected to assaults on eight women. And those included 11 counts of aggravated sexual assault, one count of attempted aggravated assault, and one count of indecent assault. And some of the original charges, because There was originally 36, were withdrawn while obviously others remain on record. And he's scheduled to be sentenced in October of 2025.
Woody Overton
Good. I'm glad they called him. And it's a shame he got away with it for so long, but the. At least justice caught up to him, right? You know, and he'll die in prison, so I hate to think all the Christmases and everything he got to do and all the, you know, he worked as a mortician and breathing with, grieving with families and doing whatever, and the whole time he's a rapist.
Cindy Overton
Yep.
Woody Overton
Punk ass. All right, it's time for beast mode. Going out to Lee County, Florida. I'm try to play this. There's two different video clips on this, and I'm gonna try to play them, but then I'll tell you about it. This, this is these cops. I, I definitely would have handled this different, but let's.
Reporter
You gotta put in the sweat and be ready for anything if you. Every morning, 82 year old Edward Wells sends a message to his daughter.
Woody Overton
I. I text her, tell her like I'm alive.
Reporter
Then with an insurer in one hand, an iPad in the other, I like jigsaw puzzles. He settles in for the afternoon. So when his daughter got a phone call Thursday.
Cindy Overton
I need to get the hell over there.
Reporter
She knew something was up.
Cindy Overton
Life got crazy yesterday.
Reporter
I thought, oh my God, we're being bombed. Not a bomb, huge, but one big board.
Cindy Overton
He busted through a whole glass door.
Reporter
Attacking the dog, Bailey. And then making itself at home for.
Woody Overton
About half hour, 45 minutes, the pig just stood there.
Reporter
Sounds like you guys were in a standoff with the boar.
Cindy Overton
Oh, hell yeah.
Reporter
Eventually, so were Lee county deputies. New body camera video shows deputies face to face with the board. Easy.
Woody Overton
Easy.
Reporter
You better. As deputies tried their best to wrangle it again.
Woody Overton
Idiots. And again. Shoot that.
Reporter
Good for them guys, man.
Woody Overton
I wouldn't want to be doing that. Oh.
Reporter
Going to the front. Before it eventually escaped.
Cindy Overton
It was a long, crazy afternoon.
Reporter
After stitches, Bailey is doing just fine. And Ed, are you scared?
Cindy Overton
No.
Reporter
Really?
Woody Overton
No. Really? Yeah. For what?
Reporter
Well, Ed, he's gone back to Business as usual.
Woody Overton
I do some job too. I like that. Let me tell you something. On the, on the video, the show, this board is like a 300 pound hog crashed through a solid glass door. And it's standing. I don't know how they hit. I guess he's got a ring camera in his home.
Cindy Overton
Yeah.
Woody Overton
Inside. And maybe his kids watch him or something. And he, he's sitting in his chair and that boar standing in the living room, it attacked the dog, ripped it open. Then the deputies get there and they got ropes and they're gonna try to look. The hog almost ran over him. That and, and, and then charged back at him. I'm like rod, do you that hog will kill you.
Cindy Overton
Yeah.
Woody Overton
It has no natural predators. It will kill you. But that has those tusks. Can't even see him aside like the ones on Lion King.
Cindy Overton
Yeah.
Woody Overton
Those little tusks are so razor sharp when you're cleaning them it'll slice your hand open and I don't know, they should. They, they said they pushed it up back off in the woods. That hog will be back. But I mean they should have shot.
Cindy Overton
That something because they are whatever. Territorial. Right. Dude, are they. Are they.
Woody Overton
No, but they, they came in there for a reason. Looking for food or whatever it was.
Cindy Overton
Yeah.
Woody Overton
And the came in once, why not come in twice?
Cindy Overton
Yeah.
Woody Overton
I mean maybe they're after that dog. I don't know. But 300 pound hall breaks in my house, I'm pretty sure I'll be filing the insurance claims because I'm putting bullet holes in the wall if not in the animal.
Cindy Overton
Yeah. Well, I think.
Woody Overton
And then yeah. Of course I had the brucellosis. The only one in the United States of America that caught it for a while hog that year. Like to kill me. Nine days in the hospital and the ICU f that.
Cindy Overton
That's crazy.
Woody Overton
And they called it a boy.
Cindy Overton
They called it a bore.
Woody Overton
This time they called it a borderary instead of a burglary. Trying to make light of it. There's nothing light about a 300 pound hog breaking in your house and attacking your dog.
Cindy Overton
No, there's not. But at least they got the animal right in this because they said it was a bear.
Woody Overton
Yeah.
Cindy Overton
And another report we did and it's quite obviously not a bear.
Woody Overton
And it goes to the overpopulation of hogs and the most destructive animal there is that I often tell it like I'm going to be on the tractor to see them and I can get on a tractor disc, big tractor and do a food plot. All Day long, turning dirt and not turn as good as one hog. Turn it in one night. They root up, tear up everything. They eat meat, they eat vegetables. I mean plants. They don't care roots. They destroy everything. So borgary.
Cindy Overton
It is a bo. Well, goodness gracious.
Woody Overton
That dude doesn't know well enough to be scared. He was sitting there, that hog was like five feet away from his feet. He's sitting in a chair.
Cindy Overton
Most people don't. Yeah, like most people don't realize where we get our meat from. They just think that there's this package of whatever meat. They don't realize what those animals go through and the processing of them. You know, how inhumane the whole process is. And like, there's people that don't realize that hamburger comes from a cow. Truly. And not kids like adults. It's crazy.

Family matters.
Cindy Overton
We're going to stay in Florida. And a Florida man got so upset that he killed his girlfriend in front of one of his sons.
Woody Overton
Nice.
Cindy Overton
So his rage over the end of his relationship turned into a murder where he murdered his ex girlfriend. Well, then ex girlfriend in front of their young son. And he. He then went and got both his other son, grabbed both of them and calmly walked out of their house and dropped them off at daycare. So the killer's name is Farrell Torres, and his girlfriend was Vanessa Santiago when she was 34. And they shared two children and had been living together in an apartment in Castleberry, Florida, which is just northeast of Orlando. Their relationship had deteriorated, and Vanessa had recently told Torres that she wanted to leave him. So investigators say that the rejection sent him into a violent rage. On the morning of the attack, they had a heated argument inside the apartment, and the children were both present. During the fight, Torres grabbed a knife and stabbed Vanessa repeatedly in front of their young son. One of the children walked in and witnessed part of the assault before Torres led him out of the room. Then after the killing, Torres just gathered both of the children, placed them in the car, and drove them to school, behaving as if nothing had happened.
Woody Overton
There you go.
Cindy Overton
Surveillance and witness accounts show that he remained calm and showed no outward signs of violence that had just occurred. Back at the apartment. Vanessa's body was lying on the bedroom floor. And the way she was discovered is that she didn't report to work, and work reported something was wrong, and so police went to go do a welfare check. Investigators believe she died from multiple stab wounds to the head and upper body. When officers entered the apartment, they found her lifeless body inside the bedroom. By the time law enforcement arrived, obviously, like I said, Torres had fled the scene. And then a manhunt launched and he was later captured and arrested. Thank Goodness. Prosecutors say the deliberate actions following the murder, especially to just drop your kids off at school and disappearing, showed a very disturbing level of premeditation and obviously emotional detachment. So Torres was ultimately charged with first degree murder. And at trial, prosecutors argued that the killing was fueled by rage and the refusal to accept the breakup. They highlighted the trauma inflicted on the children, one of whom witnessed the attack. And he was found guilty and now faces a lengthy prison sentence. And prosecutors called the case one of the most heartbreaking examples of domestic violence they've seen scene because not only of the brutality of the act, but because of the psychological scars on the children, for sure.
Woody Overton
So there you have it. Yeah, right.
Cindy Overton
Yeah.
Woody Overton
Well, let's go a little bit. I'm going back beast mode, but a little bit lighter. It's time for beast mode. Tired. I used to do all kinds of shit when I was on the street and, you know, stop more people than anybody else. I hardly ever wrote a ticket, but I knew within the first 30 seconds to talk to you whether or not you were holding dope or not, Right. If you hire your eyes, you know, pupils and what have you. And I would always say that they want to put their hands in their pockets. I said, take your hands out of your pockets. Off safety. I know they were going to put them back in again. As soon as they did, I'd be like, okay, look, look, just for my safety to put your hands on the hood, I'm going to go ahead and pat you down, make sure you don't have any weapons. So we continue talking and that's. You'd almost always find the dough. But like, I've lied to people, you know, Like, I remember this one teenager was lying about something and I knew they were lying. I'm like, it's okay. And the parents were there, they knew, they didn't know what I was going to do, but they approved of it. And I said, I reached in the trunk of my car and I got an ammo can. I said, this is a lie detector machine and I'm going to attach it to you. And if you lie, it's going to shock you. And of course the kid told the truth, right? He's like, no, no, no, don't shock me. And so we're going to lck, Texas, and the cops stop this guy and they're suspicious that he has dope on him. I'm going to see if I can get this video play. If not, I. I'll tell you the story.
Reporter
That's cool. I have a narcotics smelling horse Right here. All right, stop.
Ad Host 1
He ran like a little.
Woody Overton
See all they get this dude out and the video shows it. I guess in Lubbock, horse copping is a big thing. This guy is out is a white male. And what you couldn't barely hear was, was one officer saying, hey man, if we check your, your pockets, see if you have any narcotics or anything on you. He was like, no, I don't want you to check my pockets. And, and the other cop whose body camera was showing from got his horse close to him, said, that's fine, I got a narcotic smelling horse here. And that dude was like that. He took off running. Of course they got him in the end and he did have narcotics on him and he went to jail. But that's pretty funny.
Cindy Overton
That's funny that you would definitely do that.
Woody Overton
If I rode a horse, I would probably do something like that. You're just trying to get a reaction out of him and he, he did it. How stupid. You have to believe that. And within the history of the world, have you ever heard of a narcotic smelling horse?
Cindy Overton
Well, when you're high on whatever.
Woody Overton
You're right, you're right. I mean pigs, dogs, whatever, but never a horse.
Cindy Overton
Well, why don't they use pigs for narcotics?
Woody Overton
They do, they do. They use them in the prison system here and different police departments use it. But the thing is they, they can't be multi trained to either, you know, attack dogs or. The main thing, the one we used in the prison system was they got tired too easy. Oh, they eating that. Searching, searching much. And if the pig's like it, I'm laying down.
Cindy Overton
Yeah, yeah. So just use them for truffles.
Woody Overton
Yeah. Well, I mean, you're not gonna go then. Yeah. It starts 200 people with a pig.
Cindy Overton
Yeah, but, but they can search around the roots of a tree.
Woody Overton
A horse.
Cindy Overton
Horse is a horse. Is a horse. Of course.
Woody Overton
Yeah, that's okay. I got a narcotic smelling horse that bam, he took off running and like he's gonna outrun him. They're all on horse.
Cindy Overton
That's a horse. That showed me right there. He was pretty high.
Woody Overton
Yeah. Meth is bad.
Cindy Overton
Drugs are bad.
Woody Overton
It's time for family matters.
Cindy Overton
This is an interesting. It's really not interesting. It's kind of stupid. But this person, in the early morning hours of July 19th of this year in Peoria, Illinois, decided that he was going to shoot his ex girlfriend.
Woody Overton
Okay.
Cindy Overton
It'S horrible. But the police were called to the 23rd hundred block of West Star street after a Shot spotter alert reported gunfire around 1:30am Officers arrived and they found a woman on the ground suffering from gunshot wounds.
Woody Overton
What was this?
Cindy Overton
Peoria, Illinois.
Woody Overton
Can't believe Peoria, Illinois has those systems shot. I mean, here they. Yeah, it's a machine that hears gunfire and directs cops to it. Yeah, it's pretty good for parole, right?
Cindy Overton
So when officers arrived, they found a woman shot in both of her feet. She told police that the shooter was her former boyfriend, 23 year old Jacon L. Timothy, and she said he was a man that she once feared but never imagined would go this far. Investigators soon learned the motive behind why he shot her in both feet. And it was to prove to his newest girlfriend that he didn't care about his ex girlfriend anymore.
Woody Overton
Right.
Cindy Overton
According to court documents, Timothy had been in a new relationship, but struggled to convince his new partner of his devotion. So in a chilling exchange, he reportedly told her that he would go harm his ex girlfriend as proof that he was done with the past and fully committed in their future together. Text messages later uncovered by police revealed that he informed his new girlfriend about his plan in advance and then shortly after the shooting, sent her a message confirming that he had followed through. And the girlfriend's okay with this?
Woody Overton
I don't know.
Cindy Overton
The victim had previously expressed fear of Timothy and had sought protection during their relationship. Despite that, he managed, of course, because the paper's just a paper to track her down in July and ambush her. And as she exited a vehicle, prosecutors say he fired multiple rounds directly at her feet, an intentional act meant to maim rather than kill, which they believe was part of the quote, unquote demonstration he promised his new girlfriend. After the shooting, Timothy fled the scene, leaving the victim bleeding in the street. And she was rushed to a nearby hospital where she underwent treatment and of course, thank goodness, survived her injuries. But the police quickly zeroed in on Timothy, and detectives got a search warrant for his phone, which revealed the incriminating text messages tying him directly to the crime. And there was one where he bragged to his new girlfriend that he carried out the attack like I mentioned. So, following a two month investigation, police arrested Timothy on September 18th, and he was charged with aggravated battery with a firearm. And a judge has ordered that he remain in custody pending trial due to the violent nature of the crime and the risk he poses to the victim. So as of now, Timothy is held in the Peoria County Jail. He has not entered a plea. Court records do not indicate whether he has retained an attorney, and prosecutors plan to present evidence at trial that Includes his text messages, prior threats and testimony from both the victim and witnesses of the shooting.
Woody Overton
He'll play out like a little bitch. Yes. Ahead time and good riddance to him. So hopefully I give him the max, right? So whatever. The maximum is allowed under law because we're going to Huntsville, Texas now. Back to Texas. And this dude got the max under the law. And the Texas man was executed Thursday for killing his girlfriend's 13 month old daughter in a torturous ordeal that the couple said was part of an exorcism to expel a demon from the child's body. Wait to. I, I mean, when I get into details of this, you can have my permission to cry. So. Blaine Milam, who's 35, was pronounced dead at 6:40pm following a lethal injection at the state penitentiary in Huntsville. He was condemned for the December 2008 death of Amora Carson at his trailer in Russ county in East Texas. In a final statement, minimum thanks supporters as well as the prison, I guess priests for opening its faith based programs to death row inmates. He said, if any of you would like to see me again, I implore all of you, no matter who you are, to accept Jesus Christ as your Lord and savior. And we will meet again. And he said that this while being strapped to the, to the gurney in the death chamber. I love you all. Bring me home, Jesus. Well, they shot him up with this, you know, the phenobarbital, which is sedative, and you know, into his right hand and left arm. And at 6:19pm he grunted and gasped once. Then he began snoring quietly. After about two minutes, all sounds and movement stopped and men are. Minutes later, he was declared dead. Now, we told you about this other one. It was one. But this was one of two executions carried out on Thursday evening. We told you about Jeffrey west, who was put to death in Alabama for failure shooting the gas station employee during 1997. But let's go back to Mr. Milam and what he did to this baby girl. Milan had blamed his then girlfriend, Jessica Carson for the killing and alleged she was the one who claimed the girl was possessed by a demon. And she was tried separate from Milan and sentenced to life in prison without the possibility of parole after being convicted of capital murder for helping Milan. And both were 18 years old at the time. Now, here, here's where, here's why the ultimate punishment exists. Prosecutors say Milan savagely beat the girl and also bit, strangled and mutilated her over a period of 30 hours. Right. Court documents show a pipe wrench was among the evidence that tied Milam to the slain. A forensic pathologist who performed the autopsy found the child had multiple skull fractures along with broken arms, broken legs, broken ribs and numerous bite marks. The pathologist testified at trial he could not determine a specific cause of death because the girl had so many potential fatal injuries. The Rusk County District Attorney, Michael Jimerson, who tried the case along with the Texas attorney General's office, told Associated Press in 2019 that authorities initially treated Milan Carson as grieving parents. But Carson later told investigators Milan told her Amora was possessed by a demon because God was tired of her lying to Milan. He killed her because she had a demon. And. And she. I think she was 19 months old. Anyway. Je said at the time he still couldn't pinpoint a motive, believing the exorcism claim was just a way for me lama Carson to cover up the crime. And guess what? Good for him. He. He actually showed up and witnessed the execution. They said we will never know what amore would have contributed to our world. This is what Jim said Thursday after it was over. The prosecutor he said answering the call for justice for the most helpless is a measure of a civilized people. Among other observers was the child's grandfather, Richard Matina, but he declined to speak to reporters. Anyway. The Milan was the fifth person to be put to death this year in Texas and which is historically leads the nation in capital punishment. But Florida is now leading the nation this year with 12 executions conducted so far. And you know, all the execution was carried out hours after the US Supreme Court rejected his final appeals. And on Tuesday, the Texas Board of Pardons and Paroles denied Milam's request to commute his death sentence to a lesser penalty. And anyway he had. He had execution dates back in 2019 it was delayed. In 2021 it was delayed. And guess what wasn't delayed this time. Thank goodness right Come up with this. That baby was so so badly 13 month old. Oh 13 so look at this winner the so badly damaged every arm, leg, everything broken over 30 hours. I know. I told you. You cry on that one.
Cindy Overton
And they're so badly that they couldn't tell a cause of death.
Woody Overton
Yep. The skulls cave that everything was broken 30 hours and bite marks. Okay. You think I'm. I'll get off my horse. Death penalty exists for a reason, people.
Cindy Overton
Someone made a comment on a post the other day that said imagine if your son was the bad guy or your child was the bad guy. Would you feel the same for them making one mistake one night, whatever that.
Woody Overton
Mean that mean that I wouldn't love my kid. But the, the, you know, they did that. That punishment fits under the law. I hate it.
Cindy Overton
Right.
Woody Overton
But they got to go. And that's just the way that it is. It's not my decision. I didn't make the law.
Cindy Overton
No.
Woody Overton
Right. And if we didn't have the death penalty, United States, and then they give them life in prison. Yeah, but this dude did shit that's just straight out of hell. The devil, period.
Cindy Overton
That is the devil. That's the demon. The demon was in him.
Woody Overton
Yep. All right. Give us some. Something else. It's time for family matters.
Cindy Overton
We're going to Gwinnett County, Georgia. But before we go there, I want to ask you a question. If you have time. When our kids were in school, and WL still is in school, but he's homeschooled. But when. If there was an issue with someone, and I hate to use the word bullying, but if there was an issue with someone being mean to our children, what would you always tell them?
Woody Overton
Punch me in the face.
Cindy Overton
Right. If they come at you, if they.
Woody Overton
Put their hands on you, you bust their ass.
Cindy Overton
Right.
Woody Overton
And you will not get in trouble by me.
Cindy Overton
You will defend yourself.
Woody Overton
Right.
Cindy Overton
And I mean.
Woody Overton
Yeah.
Cindy Overton
And you also and taught to protect others. Right.
Woody Overton
If you see someone. I broke my hand one time protecting another kid that was being bullied.
Cindy Overton
So here, here's a story that I kind of question because there's a woman in Georgia, like I said, her name is Kiona Vick, and she's fighting a legal battle with the school district after she says she was arrested for encouraging her young son to fight following a confrontation at school. So according to school police and local reports, the incident began at Osborne Middle School involving a conflict between her 11 year old son and another student over a matter that reportedly started at the school bus stop. Vic says her younger child had been shoved by the other student and she went onto the school field during or shortly after the altercation. While on the field, Vic says she told her son to do what you gotta do. I mean, in a sense, defend yourself, I guess. I don't know in today's age. Urging him to stand up for himself during the conflict. Two days later, the two boys were involved.
Woody Overton
The mom saw the conflict.
Cindy Overton
She saw it after it occurred. She walked onto the field after.
Woody Overton
How could she see it after it occurred?
Cindy Overton
She saw. She walked onto the field after the conflict occurred. Okay, so two days later, the boys were involved in a fight at school. In response, the school district and law enforcement Took action against both students and Vic, the mom. Vic was arrested and faces charges of simple battery and contributing to the delinquency of a minority. In the wake of the situation, the district has also imposed a ban on Vic from participating or attending youth football games and removing her son's access to the extracurricular activity. Vic has defended her actions, saying she was advocating for my kids. That's in quotations. And that the statements made to her son were taken out of context. She expressed embarrassment, frustration, and a sense of being ignored by school authorities. And at the latest reporting, the school police have declined to comment. Blah, blah, blah.
Woody Overton
A couple points on that.
Cindy Overton
Yeah.
Woody Overton
The. The. If she saw it happen and then she should have reported to the school authorities then and would have been taken care of. That's a different situation. When I told our kids about it, I'm like, somebody puts their hands on you, they shove you. There's no difference between. By the law definition of law, between a shoving and somebody punching you in the face or kicking you in the balls, whatever. It's an unwanted touching. In Louisiana, it's a battery. The. The. If I. You know, you can't always be there to defend your kids. If I was there and I saw the other kid doing it, I'm. I'm over to report the authorities and got the kid in trouble.
Cindy Overton
Yeah.
Woody Overton
And we're taking care of it. So she probably, you know, has to catch a leg for. But if they ever came and arrested me, because then now I'm not again. Let's go back to the death penalty thing. If our kids are the wrong. He starts the fight. He's doing the bull. And him. He's got to get arrested.
Cindy Overton
Yeah.
Woody Overton
And he's gonna get his ass beat when he gets home. And. But if somebody's doing it to you just because they want to be a bully and show how tough they could be in front of other people and whatever, and they put their hands on you, you bust their ass.
Cindy Overton
Yeah.
Woody Overton
And my daddy taught me that. And he said, if you ever come home and you don't fight back and you don't stand up for yourself, he said, I'm a whoopi when you get home.
Cindy Overton
Yeah.
Woody Overton
And he said, I'll worry about getting in trouble, you being in trouble. And. And I never did. I never picked a fight. Just to pick a fight.
Cindy Overton
Right.
Woody Overton
And I never bullied anybody. And I did take over people who were bullied. I can't stand that shit. And I think stupid and. And. But, you know, but if you go out and Start it. Fuck you. It's just like breaking. And my kid breaks into somebody's house, you got to get arrested.
Cindy Overton
Yeah.
Woody Overton
I mean, that doesn't. The laws do not. Not apply to the people that I love. I mean, the laws apply.
Cindy Overton
Yeah, right.
Woody Overton
And so the.
Cindy Overton
But I mean, the article just says that she went on to the field shortly after the altercation. So he might have ran up to her and said, mom, blah, blah, blah. I don't.
Woody Overton
She. She's still on the field. She should have reported it. Yeah, right. It's not like she. He came home and said, mom, Joe, blow. You know, shove me on the field. All right. Put his dick beaters on me on the field. Okay.
Cindy Overton
Yeah.
Woody Overton
And then, you know. But next time, if he does it again, you bust his ass.
Cindy Overton
Yeah.
Woody Overton
And nowadays, I mean, you really can't get away with it because they're going to expel no matter what. There's a zero fighting policy and all that. We getting fights all the time in school.
Cindy Overton
Oh, yeah.
Woody Overton
And you know, busted nose, busted lips, whatever. And then nine times out of 10, when it was over, you got up and shook hands.
Cindy Overton
That's why I was literally thinking is you'd get it out and move on.
Woody Overton
We weren't driving our vehicles into Mormon churches and. And shooting people and then setting it on fire.
Cindy Overton
Yeah.
Woody Overton
Or. I don't know if this world's coming to you, man.
Cindy Overton
I don't either.
Woody Overton
The. But it's crazy craziness and evil exists. I don't know either. Don't worry about that fellow from Texas, y', all, because he's. He's with Jesus.
Cindy Overton
I hope he is.
Woody Overton
I hope he is, too. It is not for me to forgive him. And I know the babies with Jesus.
Cindy Overton
Absolutely.
Woody Overton
Probably. Hopefully a long time. Jesus took her a long time before that. 30 hours.
Cindy Overton
He took her quick. I hope so.
Woody Overton
Yep. So do you have anything else on this last day of September?
Cindy Overton
No, I'm just excited to get into October.
Woody Overton
Right. And the gas is being hooked up today, finally.
Cindy Overton
I'm excited to boil pasta.
Woody Overton
I should. Yeah. And new house and it was very rural, so we had to have gas tanks. We had to get a new thousand gallon tank. Had that installed. And it took forever to get the lines run. The lines had to be buried and run to the generators and to the kitchen and outdoor kitchen and all that. And finally today they are coming to put in the gas in the tank and test it. Fingers crossed. Everything works.
Cindy Overton
It's. It works. And then the. What did I tell you the first thing that's going on the stove is. Do you remember red beans and rice for doves?
Woody Overton
Yeah. Yeah.
Cindy Overton
Because it's been months since he's had red beans and rice, and that's his favorite.
Woody Overton
Yeah, Good deal. I like red beans and rice, too, so. All right. I don't know if everybody knows the story about red beans and rice, but the. It's Louisiana tradition, and it was always told to me that. And it was always served in prisons and schools and everywhere else on Monday, you have red beans and rice, and reason that is because you get paid on Friday. Red beans are cheap as fuck. And they're very filling. They're very filling. And you put whatever kind of meats you can afford to put in it, whether it's sausage or ham hock or whatever, and you cook it and takes a long time to cook. And then by Monday, you have drank all the rest of your money up. And so the only thing you could afford to eat the rest of the week is red beans and rice.
Cindy Overton
Right?
Woody Overton
So.
Cindy Overton
But you got money for alcohol.
Woody Overton
Old urban legend, but I'm sure there's some truth to it.
Cindy Overton
I think there is some truth from.
