'One of the most important voices today' says Gaby - who believes we should all listen to Katie and her wisdom...and has been, for 18 years (which is the first time they met!)Pain transformed Katie's life (negatively for a long time after a horrendous acid attack) but has also given her purpose and direction and a joyful attitude towards life. We hope you enjoy this powerful and empowering conversation - and remember you can watch all our episodes on YouTube (and we'd love you to follow and subscribe there so you never miss an episode) Here's a little more about the book:In 'Still Beautiful' bestselling author, broadcaster and charity campaigner, Katie Piper challenges deeply ingrained societal thinking around beauty and ageing, and empowers women to embrace the process of getting older. When a life-threatening acid-attack left Katie physically and visibly scarred at just 24, her approach to ageing was irrevocably changed. Now in her early forties, and at an age she wasn’t certain she would reach in the early days of her recovery, Katie reflects on what it means to age ‘well’ in a world that places so much expectation on how women look. She wants to encourage women of all ages to embrace who they are and to question the reasons why we may not feel comfortable with our ageing bodies.
