Sometimes its not amazing but sickening to see how far politicians will go to make their PACMasters happy. Ironically, in this case, doing so goes against what's best for the constituency this politicians is supposedly a champion for. In this video I expose his allegiance to the Big 4 corporate meatpackers that make life hard for family ranchers. I also give an example of how I'll represent them by giving a proposal to help them keep more value out of their hard work.Vic Meyers for Democracy This is a public episode. Why are politicians always trying to paint billionaires as the heroes of the American economy? They want us to forget that all of the rules are written to the benefit of corporations first. One of the rules that is going to cost average Americans the most over the coming years is the 'just and reasonable' standard of the federal regulatory commission. This video gives two stark examples of how.Vic Meyers for Democracy This is a public episode. I've said it before and I'll say it again. I'm not a Schumer Democrat. I fight back!Ty wants to go trumpian on me for exposing his horrendous voting record in an ad. He probably expected me to cower down like Dems so often do. But this is a new day for Democrats. There are more and more of us fighting instead of cowering.Unfortunately, fighting is expensive.Support me at Vic Meyers for Democracy#fighting #rurallife #colorado This is a public episode. This isn’t the first video I’ve made about confirmation hearings. With this one, I’m hoping to help people understand why it’s so important for the Democrats to take back the Senate.(for the record: my daughter is neither mean nor evil, she’s still my Doodlebug)Vic Meyers for Democracy This is a public episode. It looks like the insult/scare tactic de jour for the Republicans this year is going to be to call every Democrat a communist. It took them a minute to figure out that calling us socialists just doesn’t have the punch that it used to. So communist it is.I don’t know about you, but I’ve been hearing this garbage all of my life and it’s starting to get old.So I decided to point a few things out. It was very convenient that the Republicans are the red party.Let’s not let them get away with their usual red scare tactic.Vic Meyers for Democracy This is a public episode. A single headline made me stop. Not because of what happened, but because of how the story was framed. This isn’t a discussion about whether Democrats should criticize Republicans. That’s politics, especially during an election year. What caught my attention was the subtle message I think the headline sends before anyone has even read the article.Am I making too much out of a little ‘ol headline?I’d genuinely like to know what you see after watching the video.Vic Meyers for Democracy This is a public episode. More and more Trump supporters are beginning to see the fallacy of supporting him. That got me to thinking, what if I could help them climb over that fence and get back on the right side of history. I laid the groundwork by discussing his planned television appearance tomorrow night. Then I gave them a way to listen to it that just might, if they try it, help them come back into the light. The company store didn’t disappear. It evolved.Colorado had a chance to require large employers to either provide affordable healthcare or contribute toward the Medicaid costs created when their employees need public assistance.Ty Winter voted against that bill. This isn’t just about healthcare. It’s about whether taxpayers should continue subsidizing profitable corporations while working families struggle to get ahead.Vic Meyers for Democracy This is a public episode. Lee Phelan is back with hurt feelings. The full-page ad ran, except where MAGA editors refused to print it.And it all adds up to I’m going to have to raise much more than I have.Vic Meyers for Democracy This is a public episode. One of the things I believe elected officials should do is educate voters, not just repeat consultant-tested talking points.A Facebook comment claiming that only “illegals” lost Medicaid benefits gave me an opportunity to explain something many Americans don’t know: millions of retirees rely on Medicaid to help pay their Medicare Part B premiums. When that assistance disappears, the consequences are very real. This piece isn’t about scoring political points. It’s about making sure we’re arguing from the same set of facts. As always, I welcome thoughtful disagreement.Vic Meyers for Democracy This is a public episode.
