Following their previous collaboration, Ian and Lewis welcome Robbie Sherman of the 'Conversations with Robbie Sherman' podcast to the Retro Anime Podcast to talk about more Lupin III anime with a review of the 1987 OVA Lupin III - The Fuma Conspiracy

A look at two very diverse works by celebrated character designer, manga-ka and anime director Yoshikazu Yasuhiko, as Ian and Lewis review the 1987 OVA, The Poem of Wind and Trees and the 1990 movie, Venus Wars.

A light hearted look at a couple of 80's horror OVAs from the same MOVIC / J.C. Staff production studios that are anything but scary as Ian and Lewis have some fun reviewing Digital Devil Story - Megami Tensei and Yoma.

To commemorate the 80th anniversary of the atomic bombing of Hiroshima on 6th August 1945, Ian and Lewis take a look at a couple of anime written by bombing survivor Keiji Nakazawa with reviews of the autobiographical Barefoot Gen and Summer With Kuro and reflect on their own visit to Hiroshima in 2020.

In the final part of their The Good, The Bad and The Ugly series, Ian and Lewis get to the ugly and it truly is UGLY, with reviews of 80's OVAs Mahou no Rouge Liptick and OOParts Oman.

Together over the festive period Lewis really wanted to watch so for the first podcast release of the year Ian and Lewis review Satoshi Kon's classic 2003 movie Tokyo Godfathers.
In the second part of their The Good, The Bad and The Ugly series, Ian and Lewis take a look at the notoriously ridiculed MD Geist OVAs and another lame duck of an OVA; Joker - Marginal City.

In the first part of their The Good, The Bad and The Ugly series Ian and Lewis start with The Good with reviews of two of Ian's all time favourite anime films, Isao Takahata's Only Yesterday and Satoshi Kon's Perfect Blue.

1986 and 1987 saw a trio of sci-fi thriller OVAs released that all wore their clear Hollywood influences on their sleeves and had a lot of similarities to each other, so Ian and Lewis round them up for collective reviews of Roots Search, Hell Target and Lily C.A.T.

Two real curios this time as Ian and Lewis take a look at a couple of rather unique war themed films with animal based characters with review's of Osamu Tezuka's 1981 film Bremen 4 - Angels in Hell and the 1985 film Penguin's Memory - A Tale of Happiness made on the back of a series of Suntory beer commercials.
