Every time parents force their kids to sleep when they are not tired or eat, even when they aren't hungry, they are actually teaching those kids to ignore what their body tells them. That creates a disconnection between mind and body; it decreases our intuition's voice volume.

In addition, the social construct sees intuition and gut feelings as the exact opposite of what is produced by the brain's left side. Intuitive thinking is often seen as a woo-woo practice, and we use our critical thinking without exception for everything.
