B
Your houseguests better watch your mouth cause Stein knows where your game settings out.
A
He's got the gift of God and
B
knows what to say when you are ready.
A
Bobby. I take it.
B
Rolls on week three, baby. And we are back here with America's player, the mastermind, it's Eric Stein. Eric, how are you?
A
I didn't know this cucumber would stick as well as it did.
B
Yeah, I was wondering what that was. You've gone back to your mastermind third eye, right? Is that what the mastermind had? A third eye?
A
This is what they were doing in the storage room when Angela was so certain that they were plotting and scheming they were actually putting cucumbers on their forehead. So a little homage to six and a half days ago.
B
Ah, okay.
A
Yes, very exciting stuff. I'm glad to be back. I have my third ring light in as many weeks. Not looking a day over 45 and 9, 10. Now as it's getting brighter and brighter in here, I'm excited to talk to the smart, smartest podcast fans out there who have self selected themselves to be smart. Yeah, and I'm ready to go.
B
People like that last week when you talked about how that people who don't think you're funny, people who don't get you, are dumb people and only smart people get you.
A
I think that it's 100% true. But I also, it is pandering as well, you know. So it's really great to theorize because of course it's complimentary of anyone who is enjoying it, rightfully so, because they are smart enough to comprehend what I am saying and you know, and dumb and hateful people, you know, that need not apply.
B
Okay. All right. Well, Eric, we're back. It's eviction night. Number three in the Big Brother house. And so very excited to get your take on everything that's been going on. But again, what a What a life we lead in the Big Brother house. What a week it's been since the last time we spoke. That. The last time you and I spoke that. That this is how long ago it was. Rome was still in the house.
A
I mean, this has been a big week for you, specifically since last we spoke. I know that you. This is a long time coming. You have finally made your way to Big Brother stardom. How does it feel?
B
So it has taken me 24 years to get mentioned on this program, and then this Friday night finally happened. I finally made my way to Big Brother Unlocked.
A
As normally happens around these parts, I'm gonna pull back the curtain just a little bit here and explain how your win was in fact, a 3oof situation for me. You know, I often said that we're on sort of parallel sliding tracks where with one move, one way or another, I could have a podcast empire and you could be doing whatever it is that I do. I do not know. But here's another example of this. Right here you are, you're featured on the Big Brother Twitter, the Big Brother X. You're on Big Brother Unlocked, having a huge moment. Thousands upon thousands of likes for your video. But there's something that people do not know about this video. This was in fact, an opportunity that was first presented to someone else. To me. Let me call up a recent text exchange I had. It says, eric, what is your willingness to film several shots like Yash's A Day in the Life video?
B
Yeah, Can I even pull the curve? Go back one, one step. So you and I had a call and you said, how are we going to announce the summer of Stein? And I said, you know, I think that we should do a video and let's. Let's figure out what the video is. And I turned it over to Brandon Donlin, who comes up with most of the best ide that we have. And I said, brandon, we need a video to announce Eric. And within like half a second, he said, I got it. This is the video.
A
And it was genius. And I immediately recognized that the first half of my response was, this is very inspired and a hilarious suggestion, dot, dot dot. However, I am both lazy and incompetent, which is how I in turn declined this very inspired and hilarious idea. I also then I thought about, could I potentially not go shot for shot, which would have been a worse idea. So it was already most. The creative was going in the wrong direction by saying, what if I did a day in my life instead? And then I realized that would just be me sitting on the couch at five different intervals throughout the course of the day. And then, of course, like the true leader, the true expert, you are come the exact looks, the exact environment. Do you think I have the oomph within me to put on tank tops, to get out barbells, to put on the steppers, as he said? I think that's what he said. Maybe the skippers read what it said. Do I look like I have that type of commitment? But here you are, the pod father of all, and you went the extra mile and you were rewarded for it. And I'm happy about this. But to be clear, I am not envious of the accolades you received. I am simply envious that you have it within you to go the extra mile, whereas I have have the within me to put in no effort whatsoever.
B
Yes. Okay. Well, I'm glad that you g gave that origin story of all that. It also required me to enlist my son to help me, who was in a mood, was not really interested, like, what is this? Like, hold the camera like this. But then he. Then he was very excited by the finished product. So he was very excited to see that it got attention.
A
It really was a masterpiece. It had. It was a laugh out loud funny. So I'm glad that it made the round.
B
And Brandon has not gotten enough credit for especially the side by side was really what seemed to capture the attention. They did not. They didn't include the part of the video where you came on and announced the summer of Stein either.
A
I wonder why that was. Yeah, we'll. We'll. We'll get more into my relationship with production a little bit later.
B
Yes.
A
Also, before we forget things from very, you know, from a week ago, I did want to also get to one quick thing from last week's eviction episode as well. Yeah. Which was Drew's vote to evict, which seemed to deeply upset Julie. Unlike the respectful Camus.
B
Yes. Respectful Camu. Yes. As the people mostly know him as respectful Camu. Here is Drew's vote to evict from this past Thursday night.
A
What's poppin Honeymoon Bez? Oh, my goodness. Behave now.
B
Behave. That is a serious honeymoon vest.
A
That is a absolute gibberish. There seems to be some words missing from this thought. I do not think that this was a good super fan idea. And Barrett also had some real nonsense to spew during his vote later in the episode. Once you cross Julie, you do not come back on this show. There is a very popular within the big brother community houseguest who was thought to be a for sure. Returner who has never come back into the house because of these types of shenanigans. One Johnny Mac. Julie absolutely does not like him. And you do not want to make an enemy of the host of the show.
B
Yeah, okay. What did Johnny Mac say?
A
That I have to go back. It was a similar type of voting shenanigans, unfortunately for Drew.
B
Okay. All right. Yeah. She did warn him. Behave. So we'll see if it comes back.
A
Well, I'm. I anticipate an escalation of this from Drew, and. But this time she's going to be ready for it, and it's not. It's not going to be playful this time. Okay. All right, good.
B
Something to keep an eye on. Speaking of Brandon Donilon, did you catch his shout out from Dee the other night?
A
This is pretty nice. I mean, I knew they were.
B
Let me play it for you. I vote to evict Rome.
A
Thank you.
B
Thank Julie.
A
Shout out.
B
Brandon Dahlan. Drink a Coke Zero for me.
A
Love you. Wow, this is.
B
Are you a Coke Zero guy?
A
No. I think I drank way too much soda as a child and it had a negative effect on my teeth. Yeah, it really rotted me out. So I try to not do it all that often anymore. It's a fine option. I'm never a big fan, though, when someone has a Coke Zero or a Diet Coke, but then they have like a quadruple bacon cheeseburger and fries with it, you know, it's like, if you're going to have the calories, just drink the regular Coke, you know? I don't. I do not believe a Coke Zero is truly tastier than a Coke. It is just like 3% less poisonous, probably.
B
Or maybe more.
A
Maybe 4%.
B
Yeah. Who's to say? Okay, what drink would be if. If somebody's going to shout out in the diary room, have a blank for me. Eric Stein. What drink would it be?
A
Well, back in the day when I would go over to my business partner's house to work, he would run the dishwasher after our work sessions, and his then toddler would help unpack the dishwasher. And when he saw a shot glass, he would say, oh, that's Uncle Eric's little cup. So, okay, maybe a shot of something.
B
Maybe a shot. Okay. All right, let's get into all the top stories at this hour. Last night, we saw the Wednesday night episode, and we saw a big moment in the season, Mallory's Tea Party. And so, Eric, let's. Let's talk about. Well, what. What's going on here at Mallory's tea party and the impact of a big house meeting like this.
A
Well, as a father of a toddler, I have had a tea party or two recently, and I can attest to the fact that sometimes hurtful things are said at the tea parties potentially, you know, if I. If I don't come with the right attire or the right attitude. I have been called out at a tea party or two in my time as well. To me, and of course, this has now been covered ad nauseam. I don't like staged theatrics. That's not for me. We don't need to have that. If you really have a personality or a bone to pick, that should just happen in real time. Call the person out as it happens. Once you're stumbling on your speech ahead of time and you're scripting it and you're taking what is supposed to be something that is fun for the house and turning it into something uncomfortable for everyone, I think you have made a wrong turn on your way to the tea party. So I don't think it was the right time. I don't think it was the right place, I don't think it was the right execution. And I would feel very similar to Mallory about this. I would be very upset that my tea party got ruined. We have 24 hours a day to be calling each other out and trying to make each other look dumb, but not while my sandwiches are being served. This is tea time, is an elegant time and nice, you know, finger foods. It's not time for these type of arguments. It really, in my opinion, ruins the mood of a tea party to be so. I had heard all about it and I had chosen to not seek out the clips until I saw the episode. I wanted to actually see what they chose, how they chose to present it before going back and digging in a little bit more. And I was actually a little bit surprised. I was expecting there to be more yelling all around, but they were actually really pretty calm about the whole thing. Very kamu. Respectful.
B
Kamu. What?
A
But what was the purpose of all of this? Well, I really don't. I don't think it was a gotcha moment. I don't think it unearthed anything. And I share the same sentiment that everybody else does. Everyone there is allowed to play the game, not just the people in power, not just the person who won the hoh. In fact, something that has been lost through time, Big Brother, is that the hoh, they have no authority whatsoever beyond nominating the people. They don't control the vote. They don't control the mood of the house. They don't control who you can talk to. And I don't know where this has become a thing where you put your tail between your legs and say, yes, sir, yes, ma', am, you're in charge of the house. This man would rue the day if he spoke to an old school Big Brother player in this way. And Jason also stood up for himself, and rightfully so. But what makes him think that he has any control whatsoever over what someone else says or does in that?
B
Yeah, it is interesting because really, once the veto ceremony ends on Monday, then there's three more days and I feel like that this isn't talked about enough about the lame duck HOH status of you're really a figurehead, you have your own room, but really your. Your work here is done. There's three days and everybody knows you can't play HOH in the next week. So you really, the outgoing HOH should be especially like, we don't care what you say about anything. Why? Why are we worried about what you think?
A
This is part of the new school ideology, which is really terrible gameplay. The house, the house, the house. It's like doing what the HOH wants of you. You should be doing the exact opposite of that. If you're not firmly aligned and have concocted this exact plan with the HOH and you should always keep whoever the HOH's target is, why would you do their bidding for them? Like, to what end? And to your point, they can't even play the next week, so what are they going to do? And if. And if six of you vote in concert to go against them, well, they can't get all six of you out the next week. So it's like, I really don't understand. Yeah, it's very, very sad gameplay. So I thought that this was. I thought it was a little bit of a letdown. You know, we heard so much hype about it.
B
It's like, okay, it was good branding. The Big Brother tea party. Mallory's tea party. You kind of felt like, okay, this is going to be a huge moment. And so while if I was Mallory, you said she would be mad. Yes, Camus did end up ruining her tea party. At least it got on the episode. At least it's going to probably be talked about for some time. Mallory's tea party. Remember that? It probably wouldn't have even made the episode if nothing happened.
A
I just remembered that on Big Brother 8, we had an Alice in Wonderland theme in our house and there was Famously spinning teacups in the backyard and we would often have tea parties inside of them, but none of them ever quite devolved in this way. And yes, it was a nice memorable moment for Mallory. Although I suppose that crying that your tea party got ruined is not necessarily what you want to be known for. I have heard the Mallory talk this week. I do like her kookiness. I like how she says what's on her mind. And I actually have a comp for her that I have not heard yet who is exactly who she reminds me of. This person did take a little bit of a hard turn after their time on the show, so I'm not comparing her to what became of them, simply what we knew of them on the show. And that is Michelle Noonan from Big Brother 11.
B
Yes.
A
Okay, so Michelle was also a.
B
And she's an interesting social media follow.
A
Yes, a very, A very. Yes, she is. She has made some choices in, in the time since, but she was a very smart cookie. But what she was actually really known for is that she was a little bit more unexpected and wild perhaps might be a nice way of putting it than you might have thought at first blush upon seeing her. You know, it's a more than meets the eye type of character and I just like the fact that there are layers to what's going on with Mallory. She says some crazy stuff and I'm here for that. You know, I like people who come with personalities that you are not expecting.
B
Yeah, I, when you said Michelle, I thought you were going to say maybe Big Meech.
A
I could see that also. Yeah, I think, I think there's a long line of, of. Of like this person is smart. This person is a little crazy, but crazy in a fun way. You know, crazy.
B
If I recall, I feel. Did Big Meech also just have a. Her eyes set on that she wanted to get out Nicole? I don't remember which. There was like a one way feud and I remember which way it was. I think it was Big Meech towards Nicole Franzel that a returnee she wanted to get out very badly might be misremembering that. But I think that also Mallory has a, a little bit of that. Let's talk about some of the fallout from the tea Party because we saw Jason return to the house and decide that he's going to bring back a Big Brother classic of banging the cooking implements. It's always, it's always a pan or a pot, a teapot in this case that we're going to make loud noises.
A
This was a very Natural line read from Devins in the diary room about this. Yes. Yeah, we know he was watching Big Brother 8 and Big Brother 19 as they happen. I mean, come on, producers, at least give the line to Barrett, for God's sake. Someone who may have seen is going
B
to be really good at delivering those line readers.
A
He's like dutiful, but it's not believable because he's never seen seen those things.
B
Yeah. I will say in fairness, direct Evans, that when I talked to Becca Devin, she said that when they first got married that he used to watch Big Brother. It is. I think it's more likely that he saw your season of Big Brother than he saw Big Brother 19.
A
Okay, that's fair. That's fair. I, I actually, you know, is it the most original idea? It's not, but there's, there's only so many tools and utensils available to you inside of the house if you're looking to make a ruckus. I do like the new added spin that we were not just disrupting people, that we were spilling the tea nearby, which actually does feel like a good time for me to spill some tea as well. Last week there was some discussion after our podcast about who was bullying me behind the scenes on chat bcc and I am, I'm here to say who that person was.
B
Re. Reheat the nachos of the. Of somebody. Somebody behind the scenes at Chad BCC said that they didn't want you to join.
A
No, it was. It was. Someone was buried in the comments, not in the host Chat was. Was telling me to delete my account.
B
Delete your account? Yes.
A
Yes, that's right. A legendary Big Brother player.
B
Yes.
A
And I am surprised that nobody had guessed. This is. It is a fellow. A fellow trader.
B
Yes. I think I have a guess. Yes.
A
Four time Big Brother legend, beloved by many and all. And yeah, I'm sad to say that it was Big Brother great Janelle who did not want me to be there. It hurt a lot. I thought we had mended fences many years ago. So I shared a photo of us together in response. Yes. Saying why should I delete my account? Bestie. I have not heard anything back since.
B
Yeah.
A
Just thought in the spirit of spilling tea I would just come with. You know, I'm not one to keep the information close to the vest. I'm happy to share.
B
Yes. Okay. Well, maybe in the spirit of healing, maybe all of this will bring you two closer together.
A
I hope not.
B
All right.
A
Yeah. So I liked, I liked what Jason's doing I. Like what. What does he have to lose at this point? Yeah, you know, and. And listen, I. This is. This is a silly show. I'm not going to get, you know, deep into topics that have already been covered throughout the week, but there's a lot going on here, there. And. And he's playing with his back against the wall now. He has been targeted and ostracized and dogpiled. On what. What else do you want him to do? Do you want him to sit in a corner and. And whine until you send him home? He has as much right to be there as anybody else. He. Whether you perceive it as his. His gameplay, putting himself in the situation or other people's choices or social dynamics or whatever the case may be, he's up against it in the house, and he deserves to fight for his spot. He. And we have seen Josh dead and buried in the house. We have seen Taylor looking against insurmountable odds. He's there. It's a large sum of money. He owes absolutely nothing to the people that are putting him on blast or ostracizing him. So why shouldn't he go and fight back against them? And the fact that they don't like it and that it's irritating them, isn't that the. That's the exact point of it. He should not be trying to kiss the butts of the people who are alienating.
B
Absolutely. The part about it that I felt like was not focused was. It just seemed to be that, okay, I am going to be, like, ratting out anybody who's having game talk too commu. Which I guess was an interesting wrinkle to try to have, like, oh, I'm proving a point. Everybody is gaming in the house. It's not just me. Whereas it was not that I am going to make Camus life a living hell in this house. I am going to torment him and his allies so that the people on the other side could rally around this. Okay, this is our champion. This is the person who's going to be the lightning rod. If he stays, the other side's going to go after him. It was just sort of more of, I am. I'm just doing this to do it, as opposed to it being having a real tight motive.
A
So let's put our heads together here. I have a proposal for what he could have done, which I think would have been better. I don't think the banging was really necessary. He could have prepared the tea, sat down and held court and let people flock to him and just go on a 20 minute monologue about all of the things he knows about Camus game and just absolutely spill everything. Who he's aligned with, lies that he's told. In an ideal scenario, you get one or two people on board with your plan who can corroborate things that you are saying, whether they're true or not. I've always been a fan of bald face lying in Big Brother, just completely fabricating things that have never happened so long as somebody else is willing to go along with what you're saying and say, yeah, I was there. I was in the backyard when he said that. Oh, yeah, he approached me and did that. And if I were him, I would have said, I know what your plan is. So now let's knock you down a few pegs. You know, it's not going to change anything that's happening to me and just spill absolutely everything about his reads on the house, whether they're right, whether they're wrong. I think that would have been more effective than annoying people just absolutely blowing him up. And I just think that when you're on your back foot to begin Big Brother is a very different experience than when you are comfy and in charge. I was, for the most part in a really good situation when I was there and when an ally of yours was hoh and you could take a deep breath and you could settle in for the week. It is so easy to have fun and set up plans for three weeks in advance, but when you are on your heels and you're under attack, it's. It's flustering. It's not that easy to keep your composure. And I don't think that you necessarily always put forth your best idea. You just start swinging back. You know, you're in the corner of the ring and you just start throwing haymakers and hope something hits. It does not seem that his standing in the house is. Is. Is perfect yet, but I do think people see the potential for at least if bare minimum, if he's not going to be there, their leader, to fight back, at least welcome distraction, potentially a, you know, gives them another couple weeks of safety if they keep fighting over their heads. So we'll see.
B
Okay. All right, let's talk about. All right, Eric, you took to Twitter this week to respond to a message that June Song had posted, and I wanted to get your reaction to this in a little bit more detail. So June had asked, why aren't they explaining who the ha. Who are the have nots are if you're not even going to touch on the episodes why are you doing it at all? And you replied, have nots are an atrocious remnant of Big Brother past when they were trying to copy Survivor has no place in the game. It only serves to fatigue people, which makes worse TV and doesn't even provide segments so bad, so pointless.
A
So let me give you my thoughts on that. I have to get closer to the screen. Have nots are an atrocious remnants of bbp. Oh wait, you already said that.
B
Yes, I read your tweet.
A
No, I know, I know. I was joking. I was saying my thoughts remain the same. It's ridiculous. It's absolutely terrible. The fact that they don't even cover who it is and the fact that they, it doesn't even make the show. What are you, what, what are we doing here? What, what is the purpose of this? It is, it's not funny. It. They, they.
B
I think they like making the have not room. I do think that production does seem to get something out of. Oh, there's a evil have not room.
A
So I was on so long ago that we, we did not even have the have not room. We, we simply had not slop. And when people were on slop, they were just not, not fun to be around. Like, you know, it wasn't like, oh, now they're gonna get into fights with people. It was more like, oh, they're, they're shivering or they, they're taking naps all day or they're vomiting or constipated. Like it wasn't like, haha, we got them right where we want them. This is gonna be great. They're about to blow up on someone. So I just don't think, I think it's run its course. I think it did a really long time ago. And I, People speak like, talk about feeling like so unwell and I, I have seen people speculate online that this is a case of them trying to save money. That's absolutely preposterous.
B
How much money are they saving? Were they saving like, like a hundred
A
dollars, like a loaf of bread and like two more pounds of meat or whatever? Absolutely insane. Yeah, but it's useless. It's useless. Or put it, or put it on the show. Like give us on the 90 minute episode, have someone complain about the bed. Have someone say, oh, I can't wait until I can eat. So and so it's. But to make them, to torture them.
B
Yeah.
A
To no end from production standpoint, it's a total.
B
It does feel like I see a lot of times that they're that house guests Are like, I'm going to make this person a have not next week. It does seem to inspire them to at least opine about who they would make have nots. It's like when somebody really makes them mad, they do tend to talk about that.
A
I was on slop week one in my house and I was never put back on it again because I was so foul about the experience that they just didn't even want to deal with. It's like the exact opposite. Like you would think that they would make them want to put me on it more, but they were like, oh, God, we don't want this misery miserable Creedon roaming around the house complaining about the fact that he's on slop. It's. Yeah, it gets like little ticky tack fights to happen. People who are frustrated about being on it or like it's a standard every year someone like puts together like a five course meal and eats it in front of the people who are on slop and it. That agitates them. But that's, you know, we can get these social dynamics elsewhere and then also
B
it tends to be where or what you could have if you got rid of it. Is the situation we have with Survivor, with the new era, is it worth it to have the alumni say they don't even have have nots anymore. They don't even eat slop. This is, this is big brother for babies.
A
So like, we need to like, who are the biggest ringleaders who are going to come out? Like, you have like, you know, Shelley
B
Moore, I think, I think you mentioned one already on this episode. Who would be leading the charge of what they don't even have slop anymore.
A
Yeah, that really rings true for sure. But I mean, there is something that we would lose on though, if there weren't have nots anymore, which is the online fan detectives who are enforcing the imaginary rule book.
B
Right.
A
To try and get people, you know, with penalty noms are thrown out of the house.
B
Well, for instance, this past Thursday, d have not would ate some candy from Camus hoh basket after the have not window had started. No punishment enforced.
A
Can you believe this? She had pieces of accounting. Seven pieces of candy. Yeah, yeah. What I. Yeah, so I heard all about that. And, and oh, Camus told his targets that he might nominate them. As if this hasn't happened every single week in the history of the show. I do not. And then, then I, then I see houseguests and they're coming out. It's like, no, seriously guys, that is a rule. Like, you're not allowed to tell people. It's like it happens every single round of play in the history of the show. So whether it physically says that in this rule book it has, there is no enforcement of the rule. And why should there be? Why is it a secret? Like the people watching the feeds, they know anyway. Never in the history of a nomination has the person been shocked and blindsided to find out that they were nominated. Give me a break.
B
Yeah,
A
I wonder what other rules are in the rule book that we, we might be able to enforce from the outside.
B
Yeah, it's a good question. And I don't mean do you know, like, I guess so there technically there is. There are rules that you get. I know when I went to go do the Traders, there were also. There were certainly like, I got a pamphlet that had rules in it. But like, the enforcement of rules I think is trickier than. And especially in Traders, there's a lot of like what you can or can't say. And I think that there's also like a fine line there in terms of what, you know, you're able to actually get away with.
A
There is only one rule that is consistently enforced and that's that you can't use production as strategy, which I, I got smacked down for numerous times in the house. You can't feign that something transpired in the diary room. You can't fabricate a power. So in fact, like what rick did on Survivor 50 does not fly. Like in the Big Brother house, you cannot create a game element and act as if since basically you're not interacting with production in any way, production cannot confirm or deny the, you know, they cannot verify the legitimacy of something. So you are not allowed to say like, well, in the diary room they actually said to me because they cannot defend themselves. Themselves or, or course. Correct. So that's the only rule that I remember ever being truly enforced. Although I, I of course was on a season with the one of two only people who actually received punishment for breaking the have not rules. But that was a slightly different situation because they announced consciously prepared food and then went and ate it, making a gigantic show of it. Not just like nibble on a seed accidentally.
B
That was Jen. She got a penalty. She got a penalty vote against her.
A
Yeah, she, she said, I will now perform eating.
B
Yeah.
A
Which is admittedly a very colorful way of describing that.
B
Is very colorful. Okay. All right. Speaking of powers and production, Rick Devins has the diamond power of veto. Diamond Devins is here.
A
This is a lot of power for the majority alliance to already Have. And boy, does it seem like it happens that way quite often on big brother. Right. The rich get richer, so to speak. I'm enjoying Devin's quite a lot. I've enjoyed him on survivor. I'm enjoying him on big brother. I enjoy him in this game. He is clearly a front runner to win this game. This as a nearly insurmountable power. It could be used to hold over the hoh's head, it could be used to negotiate, it could be used to save yourself. Plus it is a net two person swing. And when you are already demolishing the other side of the house, being able to save yourself or one of your close allies and instead evict because you have the numbers, someone from the other side that is, you know, that's very hard to come back from. It's tough. So of all the things that he could have gotten. It's a lot.
B
It's a lot. Yes. Here, let me give you Rick Devins. It's. It's a lot.
A
This was a lot.
B
Yeah. So I, I know that that has, you know, Taryn has articulated that. I hear what you're saying. Could I just give a Emily flippin pushback on that a little bit in terms of. Okay, it's six weeks. Uh, one week is already done. Five more. Five more weeks and we're in a house with 15 people. There is a blockbuster. It's early. I think that this power will go through jury. So it sort of is at least a fast pass to the jury. But also we're in a world with three noms versus two. Is it a little bit watered down?
A
I really don't think so. Because if, let's just say someone on the other side ultimately gets the power. Let's just say for the ease of the example, they put up the three icons, right. And he is able to pull himself down, replace with whoever the biggest unprotected threat is on the other side. And then they still have six votes from their own alliance to then evict that person. So each can't vote. So they're taken out of the vote count from the other side. That person is now on the block. They're taken out from the other side. So even if two of his own stay on the block, they have six votes from the tool shed. Theoretically, if they're working together as a unit to then evict whoever they want. So I mean, to me it is game wrecking for that week. But also you don't get the hoh back. You're not competing in the Hoh that week. It doesn't, you know, chip down their numbers in any way. So I think you go from the high high of I'm going to get one of the ringleaders out. One of the biggest opposition to they're all still here. One of my allies has gone home on my own hoh. I think this is, you know, it's very similar in power and effect to the coup d' etat and it's just about who's implementing on who as to whether or not the fans are comfortable. Also, I'm going to throw out a hot take here that I have not seen covered previously. Everyone always gives poor Matt Hoffman so much garbage for staying loyal to the brigade and taking out Cathy with this. But let's just talk about the scenario in which he sees the writing on the wall. He is the low man on the totem pole of the brigade and he decides to act on it here and he's going to play the rest of this game with Regan and Brittany and go against the brigade and he uses this power and he actually succeeds and somehow gets Hayden or Lane out of this game as a result of. Right. He's going to go home in one of the next two weeks as retaliation for what he did. You know, like, it's not like he wins the game in that scenario. Brittany and Reagan and Cappy, they're not winning any hohs to protect him. He didn't win the hohs to then protect himself. And all that's going to happen then is the remaining brigade members are going to just come after him because now he has outwardly declared war on them and he goes home a week later anyway. So, yes. Was it a. A wimpy and cautious move? It was. He'll be the first person to tell you that. But it would not have been a game winning or effective move to blow up his own alliance, get one of them out and then still have all of the rest of them still there anyway.
B
Yeah, just to go back to what you were saying with this also, that hypothetically we're in a world. Jason wins the blockbuster. Jason wins hoh. It is going to be kind of a wet fart if, like somebody comes down off the block because the diamond power veto next week after we've. We've been waiting for the other side of the house to take power and to have on their week where they take power. That could be. That could be a tough watch.
A
That could be the whole week is basically rendered useless and then the majority's back in power the next week. Yeah. It's so funny because with things like the halting hex and this, it's just if the right person's doing it and the right person's evicted as a result, it's like, we stand. We love. This is incredible. Yes. And if it's the wrong one, it's like production. They're cheating. Get out the rule books.
B
Okay. All right, let's talk about this past Sunday night. We saw the return of Mr. Pectacular as big Brother took us back in time to revisit the Wonderful Days of WrestleGasm85.
A
Have you ever wrestledgasm before? Because I cannot remember a time where I did. I did famously. I do feel like, on the air, Big Brother Aiden was defeated by her. Sounds, Lee, but they're, you know, not the back end of that statement.
B
And I would think that Kamu would be very against the idea of a wrestlegasm. I think if you have a wrestlegasm around Camus, watch out. You are. You might be going up on the block if you wrestlegasm not near the women's ears.
A
That's not acceptable. As he, as he said after the tea kettle.
B
Yes. Okay. How about the branding of WrestleGasm85? This was a choice.
A
Wonder how many lot of terms they went through before they landed on this one.
B
Yeah, it's.
A
There's a lot of things I, I
B
have, I have a lot of thoughts
A
about WrestleGasm85 because, I mean, because you
B
would think that we could, like, was. Because, you know, we, we know that the, the wrestling people can be very litigious. You would think, right? So Wrestle Fever seems like that's. That sort of Wrestlegasm seems like a whole different ballgame game.
A
I, I, I don't even really. I'm not sure I understand what we were even trying to accomplish here. In a multitude of ways, it is. It's a choice, A great choice.
B
I feel.
A
I actually really like it a lot if it flies in the face of, of logic and, and that's why I like it. I. So first things first. I need to get this out of the way. I'm very upset that Jesse was back on our screens again so soon after the masterminds. This does feel like a little bit of a personal betrayal. You know, I thought Big Brother had turned a leaf, and they were trying to tell more coherent storytelling. So they put this button on the end of last season about Jesse's grievances with the show and the fairness of the show and the twists of the show. Only for three weeks later, in television time for him to be back on the show, participating on the side of the show.
B
Well, okay.
A
So, Eric, that seems interesting to me.
B
I think you're losing the plot a little bit. This is 1985, and as Drew opined, this might have been Jesse's dad.
A
I see. So this was not the Mastermind.
B
Please, please, Mr. Pectacular Senior is my father.
A
That's what he should have said. Please call me Jesse. Mr. Pectacular is my dad. We named the dog Jesse.
B
Yeah.
A
And then, so then I was questioning this to say, why? Why is this man back on the show in the good graces of the show already? So people were giving me a little bit of a hard time about, you know, the bit's over, Eric. You gotta drop it. And then I realized, like, the bit's not over for me. It's still real to me, dammit. As a wrestling fan once said to me, the mastermind, that was my big moment in the last 19 years. It's not my fault that they call Jesse five times a season to be on the show. I'm not going to get called for WrestleGasm86. You know, my time is done. So all I have is the masterminds. That's why I have to keep talking about it. If I was Jesse and they were calling me back every week, great. I'd have something else to talk about. But, you know, I feel like it cheapened my experience as a mastermind. You know, I thought, here I am, you know, hobnobbing with the Legends, and he's just right back to work. Also, this seemed like an enormous effort from Big Brother for what was a simple memory, you know, before and after sort of game. And then my last thought about this is, where is Austin, AKA Judas, in all of this? The man is a professional wrestler. He lives, I believe, in the Los Angeles area. He couldn't have gotten a call. He couldn't have come with his little top hat and been Jesse's opponent.
B
Couldn't have been one of the two guys.
A
He couldn't have wrestled barefoot on his way out of the house. I mean, come on.
B
Yeah. What do you think about the match?
A
I thought it was. Sounds like a lot of work. Felt like they had to learn all the choreography. There's a lot of lines going on. Like, this did not seem true to what we know of them. There seems to be like some very high effort competitions and skits going on this year.
B
What was the character of Mr. Pectacular here? He. It was sort of like sort of some kind of Like Shawn Michaels esque ladies man.
A
I think that, that seems right. I'm trying to look at the picture now. Does he have face paints on as well?
B
He, he certainly had hair like the Ultimate Warrior. I don't know if he had a face paint. And he came to the ring with three. And I forget what they, what they call the women that were with him. His valet three. That was like a very confusing part of the question of that. Just that Mr. Spectacular's valets.
A
Yes. So I think that this has been probably, you know, covered in Big Brother lore before, but one of the top executive producers of the show, he spent some time on the wrestling circuit as well. So I think this was a nice, nice little homage. And it looked like we got like, basically, I think the character was like a paper doll. Like it was the, the hair of the Ultimate Warrior. Devin's had the voice of the macho man. We. We had the val. I think it was just like a little, little hodgepodge and homage to all, all of the wrestlers past.
B
Yeah. Anyway, it was a lot for one comp. But I was into it. I liked WrestleGasm 85.
A
So, you know, I worked at WWE for about two months and this brought back some, some memories that I had wished to forget. You know, somewhere from the annals of my brain, I was brought back to a time and place that I did not really enjoy my time there very much, but I did enjoy this competition.
B
Okay, let's talk about. Oh, how about this? Yash has not left his mark on the Big Brother yet, but a lot of people have been really consumed with thinking about Yash's haircut. What's going on here? An original haircut for the Big Brother house. You don't get this every day.
A
This was another instance of me getting myself into trouble on chat bcc. I like this inspired look. I think it's an original. Yeah. And what I suggested was that Taylor should make an on air wager with Derek on Unlocked. And if he were to lose, he has to on air, get this haircut.
B
Yeah. And what happened?
A
I got, I got reprimanded by Taylor, who said his body, his choice. And I said, by making the wager, he's giving consent. It would be his choice to participate in this.
B
Yes.
A
And then they said, well, how can he get the haircut? If anything, it looks like he'd have to grow in his hair. Okay. So he can, he could glue a piece on. It's fine. I think it's a good idea.
B
Still, it would take a long time. I think to grow out, but maybe over the course of the season, everybody gets the yacht haircut.
A
Yeah. I mean, you know, they don't. I am concerned. So they are. Another rule that they actually like to hold to is they want your look to be consistent throughout the week in the diary room. So normally, you're only allowed to reset your look right ahead of the live show. So that way, a week worth of episodes, you're presenting the same way. So the clippers are actually not readily accessible to you at all times in the Big Brother house, they are released to you at certain intervals. And I am a little bit concerned about where this is going to go as it starts to grow in. As the front segment starts to get a little bit longer and not. Not quite as tight. The fade is growing back in a little bit. I'm concerned he doesn't have his usual barber in the house. And I don't know how easy this is going to be the replicate. You know, I don't know if he goes to say Barrett and is like, hey, give me my signature style. Can he recreate this? Or is it going to start getting a little mangled like Aaron's eyebrows did back in the day? You know, I'm worried about how this is going to evolve throughout the summer.
B
Yeah. Are you ironically standing? Yash.
A
I don't even think it's ironic. I. I like, I like. It's a true original look. I feel like I could. I could grow this and I could rock. Actually reminds me of something. I have a question. I. You know, you're. You're. As the expert that you are, how often do you get haircuts since you appear on camera? All the time. I've been thinking about this. I got a haircut on the night of the premiere of the show. I attended the premiere party, and I was thinking, like, how often do I need to tidy up to appear on this podcast? I mean, to appear on this podcast. The answer is never, because not a single person is tuning in to look at my hairstyle. But for you, do you find yourself having to go more frequently than you would otherwise?
B
No, I think that really, when it's like, if I have it short enough, I don't have to do a lot in terms of trying to get it to look normal on a podcast. When I find that's like, boy, it's really taking a lot of work to not make it look like I just woke up. Then I said, okay, I'm just gonna get a haircut. So probably like, around, like, five weeks or so.
A
I feel like you look very well quaffed.
B
Thank you. I'm about two weeks in.
A
Okay. So maybe this time just to try something new at the five week mark, you can bring them this picture.
B
Yeah.
A
And say, give me one of these.
B
I will say that I was a big Covid self haircut guy. And the thing about me where I probably had the yash haircut at some point during COVID because I, I can't see what's behind me. I, I do have a mirror now that's like a three way mirror that you can like see what's behind you. I didn't then, so I really was just like, okay, I could do the sides and I could do the top. And then nobody's seeing really, except for my wife, and she's not really looking
A
at me that closely.
B
So it was just like I could sort of just like, you know, nobody's paying attention back there.
A
It's funny you should say that. I used to live with my, my brother back in the day. And when we got our first apartment, you know, money was tight, was living in New York City, and I often would have him help me with haircuts just to save a few bucks here and there. And one day I believed him to be home and asleep. So I started my haircut and I did the sides, I did the top, I did everything I could see. And I was gonna just have him tap in and just clean up the back for me. And so I went after like an hour or so and I didn't see him emerge. And I went and I checked and he was not actually home. So I had a half haircut, an unfinished haircut that actually, now that you mentioned you've unlocked this memory for me, strongly resembled this. The back was, it was, it was somewhere in the mullet space. The back was fully grown in the sides were whatever. And I had commitments to attend to that day. So then I had a real Sophie's Choice. And like, do I finish the haircut by myself or do I go out in public with a half completed haircut? Also, I don't know what a Sophie's choice is, so I don't know if I use that correctly, but that's neither here nor there.
B
That's a tough decision. Yeah, I don't remember the actual. I don't know if I've seen the actual movie. I think it was kind of a bummer. I think it has to do with like divorce, if I had to guess. I don't know. People will tell us in the comments.
A
It Was more of a Yasha's choice than a Sophie's choice.
B
Yeah. Okay.
A
All right then I don't remember what I did.
B
All right, Eric, we want to get your take on some food being cooked in the house. Lala is cooking. Not everybody is loving Lala's cooking. I believe this was an item from this week. Lala made bacon wrapped cream of mushroom soup bites. Are you in or out?
A
This it. This feels like a random word generator created this sentence. Bacon wrapped soup.
B
It's hard.
A
So what exactly am I looking at? Is this is bread dipped in or. Or slathered in soup?
B
So I'm not a big cream of mushroom guy. I'm imagining it's like a, a thick canned soup. But I would think that when you cook the bacon that I feel like it's all going to just like turn into goop.
A
Yeah. Cream of mushroom goop bites. Yeah, I, I agree. I think that there's a possibility like Campbell soup.
B
Yeah, Campbell soup. Remember they used to give the have nots also like something weird. It would get like, like America, you have a choice, like what do you want to give the have nots and like with their slop, it's like, oh, we got octopus and oranges.
A
Yeah, it's. It's lollipops. Or Lala's bacon wrapped cream of mushroom soup bites. You choose America. Yeah. This is going to disintegrate for sure. It's going to be congealed. No doubt about it. Probably raw. This. This might be one of the more revolting things. Things, you know, since Raven's masterpiece. I do not feel good about this. As we have covered on the show, there is one shared bathroom. And the thing is, you know, people get offended over stuff like this too. And it's like, so she went to the effort of cooking and she's like, wants you to try it. It's like this is one of these, like when she's not looking, you gotta throw it over your shoulder, you know, chew it up back into the napkin.
B
Is this a mistake as a nominee to be making bacon wrapped cream of mushroom soup? But
A
I mean, unless the goal is to actually make ill the opposition so she has a better chance, you know, in the blockbuster, in which case that could be actually very high end strategy. I think that when I participated in the cooking in the Big Brother house, like I boiled some pasta, maybe. Yeah, you know, maybe heat up a hot dog. You know, something that there's really a foolproof thing. I don't think it's the place with a Group of people that have their own discerning taste to introduce such an original recipe as this. I was gonna say, like, for all I know, it might be delicious, but actually, that's not true. It looks disgusting. I don't think there's any world in which this is delicious. Yeah.
B
How does the cooking work in. Is there always, like, one de facto person who has to cook all the food for everybody? Is there ever, like, a season where everybody just makes their own food?
A
I do think that normally people take the lead. I mean, there have been some really killer chefs in the house, like Chef Joe and Lisa the glitter chef. You know, it's been a lot of good stuff through the years. I do remember on my season that Amber, she one time went to very special lengths to cook quesadilla burgers from her. From her favorite Applebee's, which I guess she was on the wrong show, but she. Hours and hours and hours of loose, barely properly cooked meat inside of a wrap. And the problem when people do things like this is, like, you have to act like they have done the greatest thing for you. And thank you so much for bringing it. Like, people get real. Yeah. You brought us a piece from home here tonight. That cooking, I was like, my mom made this is the most revolting thing that has ever been placed in front of me. But the problem is when you don't participate in the cooking or the dishes. Like, this gets you in trouble with the politics of the house. Right. So it's like, the safest thing to do is, like, just get up after dinner and just start doing some dishes. You know, that way, you're not food poisoning anyone. You're not. And I also think that, like, some people think, like, oh, it's my role in the house. I'll take care of them. It's. You know, people can eat chips for.
B
Yeah.
A
For the rest of the summer. They don't really care that much.
B
Okay. So doing the cleanup after dinner. Safer place to be than being the one putting the food on the table?
A
Yeah, I think so.
B
Yeah.
A
Yeah.
B
Okay. All right, then let's talk about. Okay. Maybe a new showmance. We've got potentially something brewing. Lyric and Kamu. Respectful Kamu.
A
What a gentleman. Not near the ears. Not near the women's ears. He. I. I'm not. I'm not shipping this. I'm not shipping this. I'm still a lime guy. I wouldn't want to be on the outside of the house, and I'm on the feeds trying to enjoy my pickleball and be Seeing this stuff. So I believe in true love. I think this is all game. I find it hard to fathom that Camus does not understand that she has otherwise spoken for. But then again, she did know Rome for two weeks and theoretically these two could be together for a few months. So I suppose anything is possible. There have been instances of showmance hopping through the years. I believe Jackson, otherwise known as Mickey, had a couple of people that he was involved with. I do believe that it was insinuated that there were some flirtations for Nick Starcavic before he landed on his final option. I believe Taylor herself may have had a few suitors during her time in the house. So it's not unheard of. I do not think that this is going to unfold in this way. I do believe that this is gameplay. But what do you think? Do we have a romantic situation blossoming?
B
I don't know if this is a romantic situation blossoming, but I've been high on Lyric. I think that Lyric is going to going to be a player who does has many tactics to be able to stay safe, stay close to the power. And I think that she may use the flirt card in any different ways in the house.
A
I thought that the way that she handled nominee was fantastic. First time I saw that you mentioned this last week and it stood out to me as something that one might say if they need to up with topics to talk about Big Brother seven times a week. You're grasping you're hoping that Lyric is going to be the next legend and she does something a little good. And I thought guys might be exaggerating your lyricism a little bit. However, I did think that she was in the face of her showmance going home. She's put on the block by someone that she sees as a potential ally. I thought she kept her composure really well. Her temperament was spot on. She, you know, as Camus himself purported himself to be. She was very unbothered. But actually so. And I think that's perfect now. It is a way that you may inadvertently end up as a block star and going back on the block week after week because your feathers are not being ruffled by it. But there are worse positions to be in.
B
I think it's the veto, though.
A
Yeah. And I recall Spencer on Big Brother 15, you know, block starring his way right to the end of the game, you know, so it's not. It's not unfathomable to make that position work for you, but it's not a position of power. And I think what I need to see to get fully on board the sheet music with Lyric is that that was an absolutely terrible, nonsensical pun. I'm not even sure it was a pun. It's just words. But anyway, to be fully on board with her, I need to see what she does if she gains power because if she strikes, if she rearranges the house, if she uses these wiles and these cockroach tactics to survive, but then do something, I will stand. I will be really excited that we have a player who is just biding their time until the moment comes. However, I do fear that this is like the type of house where maybe the outsiders just keep turning on each other rather than the existing power structure. Back in BB19, this is something we saw where they just the bottom feeders, they would just push the next one in front of themselves and it was self preservation to get yourself to the next week. But it never changed the structure and there was never a need to change the struct in their minds because you know, Elena and Mark thought they were Paul's number ones and Cereal Matt and Raven thought they were his number ones and Josh and Christmas thought they were his number ones. So there was no need to ever rock the boat or change the power structure because in their minds they were all already going to the end of the game. I'm not sure that you see Lyric take power and she is chopping off the head of the snake here. I wonder if she ends up doing the bidding of the majority alliance inadvertently and that that would be disappointing. You know, I'm not even sure. I'm not even sure where do you even begin if you're an outsider? I mean, that's something that I have not heard discussed. Right. So you're trying to chop away on all of this.
B
Yeah.
A
How do you get this to unravel? I think you might actually start with. With Camus himself because then you know, that might break Drew and Barrett off for good. It might split the icons. I think if you take say Angela out of the game, it has no net effect on the. The greater group at large. If you take Haley or Chuck out of the game, nobody cares, you know, so what. How do you even tackle taking apart this structure if you are one of the outsiders?
B
Good question. I. I wonder if it's rather than. Than the three icons, what if it's Devin's and D and Common who are up on the block? And then you might see then you would force Devins indeed to really try to mobilize an anti Camus Contingent where people. And that's not gonna make Camu and. And Haley and Chuck happy. So it would maybe cause some divisiveness. Divisiveness.
A
I think you're actually onto something. I think it might even be one step further. If you really have the picture of the house making the third person. So you have Kamu, you have one of the icons and then the third person is maybe. Well, I was going to say a Drew, but that might. Then it's just too easy to just go with Drew but somebody else. That is resulting in all of the factions turning on each other. I think that's right. You need to create infighting to make themselves destruct. So that way eight is now five and moving forward. If they go into power, they might start to chop at each other. I think that's the move. Is this a move that you see foresee Lyric making? Not sure.
B
I think only one person would do this. Let's hear. Let's skip ahead to Mallory, who's on the block tonight. She would do it.
A
Mallory is. She's bold, she's brave. It's just like we saw with Ashley a few weeks ago. I think one of the most disappointing things that can happen on a Big Brother season is when you see the potential for someone's spark, their personality, their boldness, and they just don't get to deliver on it. We don't want Mallory or Lyric or Jason to go home before they get to do anything. Like just somebody, please. We need someone to win the power. And then of course, course the diamond veto will.
B
Yeah.
A
Ruin it all. So but for those. Those few minutes, we'll be so excited. Yeah.
B
There were times this week where I really look like, okay, well, Jason could win the blockbuster and Mallory could stay in a vote over Lala. And with all due respect to the bacon wrapped cream of mushroom bites that I thought that Lala leaving would actually be a very productive thing. A productive week for the season where Lala not adding a lot, not really a number for anybody of interest. And so take her off the board and really like a net nothing on Kamu's HOH week. It does feel like that either Jason or Mallory will go home at this point.
A
Yes, I agree. I think it would have definitely taking the wind out of the sails for it to just be Lala after all this, who was not ever gonna really be even coming for him. Probably not gonna win the power. I mean, was atrocious in the competition, like, you know, really a non threat. So it is actually interesting to see the other Players jockeying around and how to make this a substantial or worthwhile. It is also very interesting, you know, to see that Mallory wins a competition week one and it's like she cannot shake the pipe queen, right? Cannot shake the label. And it's like, you know, week two, Devens wins back to back competitions. Nobody is carrying on about this. It's all about a power imbalance in the house, you know, and the narratives that people tell. And the outsiders are just losing the spin game this season really, really badly. They have lost control of the narrative. Like, like what, what do you want her to do in that situation? Why just stay on the block and get evicted in week one? Like, she won the competition. She needed to win. Good for her.
B
Like, and there's been a lot of talk about trying to save Mallory this week. It does really feel like it comes down to Drew and Barrett who are swing votes here. And I know at the wee hours of Wednesday night that they seem to have been been talked into evicting Mallory by Rick Devins. Good on Rick Devins. But for Drew and Barrett, what the hell, guys? Come on. Like, I know Barrett, it seems to not have a ton of intestinal fortitude, but Drew, I thought Drew was such a player. Yeah, come on, Drew, do something.
A
On these returner seasons, this person is always cast. The Barrett. Adam Pak was in his casting talking about how his 2 favorite all time players were Rachel and Dick. What a surprise that they found him for the season. You know, there was big, Big Meech. The aforementioned Big Meech was obsessed with Frank, you know, in the preseason. There is. He is there as the, you know, the leader of the Serif fan club. They will always find the person who has saying, Angela. I love Angela so much. If Angela's going to be there, the Angela superfan will be there. And it does not make for a great houseguests. They will trip over themselves to serve the icons to their own demise at their own expense. And I think that's really what's going on here. So I think if they're operating as a unit, they kind of are forced to vote together and Barrett is just not going to make moves that take him away from endearing himself to the people that he idolizes. And you want to think a super fan is going to come in and know better, but it's really the exact opposite. The super fan, a true super fan, is coming in with their jaw on the ground saying, I can't believe that I'm getting to do this with Angela. Not I'm going to Turn on Angela.
B
But, you know, I'm not even focused on Barrett. I feel like that Drew is the person, he hears all the whispers, he knows what everybody's saying in all these conversations, but seems to be oblivious to so many of the conversations that are about him and about how he's kind of Persona non grata in this alliance and he's working to appease them this week by evicting Mallory and keeping Lala. And it is just very frustrating to watch it go down this way when he's supposed to be the guy who's tapped in and in alliance with everybody.
A
Yeah, it's giving Brian Hart a little bit, a little, a little bit too much going on. I think if you're friends with everyone, you're friends with no one. As, as the saying goes in these games, I think that being maybe having okay relationships across the board is good, but when you are really this early on, it's not like Survivor. You might be able to juggle this over the course of 26 days, over the course of 90 days. People have nothing else to do there but talk and compare notes. It is going to get out. You cannot promise the world to everyone. You cannot play on both sides of the house. You could be friendly with one side of the house and aligned with the other side of the house. But I think that the most effective thing to do in Big Brother is to have your allies and then have your one or two targets, preferably very weak ones who cannot have no way of getting you back, who are known to the house as the people you want out. So, and yes, that is a little bit feeding into that dog piling mentality, unfortunately, but that is the most effective strategy is to just let everyone know, like, oh yeah, I don't mess with so and so. They're my target if I'm ever to go up and then everyone else feels safe around you. He has created a world in which by trying to make everyone feel safe, they all feel in danger because his safety is meaningless. You know, it's over promised and under delivered. We can only hope that once he is up against the wall and this kind of like comes to light that he is activated in some way. But I really don't think so. I'm thinking his game is actually trending in the way of, of Jason's. I think it's, it's over baked like the mushroom soup bites and they're probably more likely to be under baked. But he's, I think it's too far gone. I, I do not think this is a man who has a long tenure in this game.
B
You know, I could put the rose colored glasses on and I could talk myself into anything where. Okay. You know, the hopium will be that. Okay. If Mallory goes home. All right, they will. They. Lala is still a number is still gonna. She'll still still vote with the other side of the house if it comes down to it. And then maybe the Drew thing comes to a head sooner and then maybe it ends up. But that's. That's a tougher sell to me.
A
I am very impressed by his hair, though. You know, how do you get it to stay up? Like. Well, that's right.
B
He has to lay. Like.
A
What would happen to your hair if you did that?
B
I mean, not much difference, I don't think.
A
I think mine would land somewhere in a place probably like Devin's. It would just sort of like curl up, I think, on top. I don't. I don't think it would stand up or fall in that way.
B
Okay, Eric, we got a game today and an interesting backstory here on this game because I think we have have a few different variations of this. Hold on now, Brandon, you put this together, a game called which Jason said it.
A
I put this together with no input from Eric. We. We parallel funk. We parallel thought of the same exact game.
B
Yes. Okay, so let me hear. Let me just. Then, okay, let's. Let's take a look at what's going on here. Okay. All right. Which Jason said it as Brandon joins us. But Eric, you too were thinking of something like this.
A
Yeah. So when we were brainstorming for don't forget the Lyric, last week we had a brief conversation of a who said it Game because famously, many moons ago on the summer of Stein, we played who said it? Rachel from Vegas or Rachel from Vegas. And I thought it might be fun to bring that back. We sort of touched on it. We did not go any farther. Last week I was a little inundated with some other things outside of the podcast, and Brandon stepped up and formulated the game. And this week we never actually got back to discussing it, and he took one for the team and delivered on this great game. But this week I was back in the zone. So I too, created this exact game with a couple of variations from it. So I say we play both versions and see if we landed in the same place. I will say we'll play Brandon's first. Mine. There might be a little bit of creative liberty that I took. You know, they might not necessarily. I cannot say that these are exact quotes I got a little fatigued during the research. The Google was not helping that much. So some of the. The quotes were more just things that they may have said in, you know, close proximity, or I imagine they might have said in my version. But, you know, these are probably a little bit more reputable.
B
All right, which Jason said it Selena as titties or Whistle Nut? Brandon, are you ready?
A
I'm ready. Am I staying?
B
Yes. I mean, yeah. Why don't you ask the question?
A
Done. Okay. Okay, if we go slide forward, we'll see the first prompt.
B
Okay, here we go.
A
These are all Instagram captions from either Selena STS or whistlenut. The first one being Moo Moo. And the cow emoji is in the middle of both moves. Okay, new cow emoji. Moo. Now, I might be overthinking this and Rob, you probably know Brandon's tendencies better than I do, but is it possible that we are being baited here to assume that these would be the ramblings of the rancher, Whistle Nut, or the rodeo clown, if you were. But in all actuality, is it possible that Selina Estiddies performed in a black and white spotted garb potentially and maybe was celebrating the costuming? Or do you think that this is on the nose to just set the bar? I don't know how difficult this game is going.
B
Yeah, you do get inside Brandon's head a little bit in the game. I think it really could be either. And so it's hard to know without the picture. But I. I think that maybe it might be Whistle Nut.
A
I would say, would Whistle not be using emojis?
B
Does he know this whistle know how to use emoji? I just feel like that maybe in my mind, Selena Estiddies is probably more creative than Moomoo.
A
Do you think that we could book Whistle Nut? I've not seen him do. We heard.
B
Are we going to get flack for platforming whistlenut? What has Whistle not been up to?
A
That's a great question. All right, so let's go. Let's go Whistle Nut. And if you go further, you will see the next slide. It is.
B
Oh, wait, hold on. Did I go too far?
A
Go too back? Okay, sorry, but we'll scrap that one. That was in fact Selina Estiddies who did say Moomoo. Moomoo. I knew it. You know what? This would be a good time. I'll read one of mine now and then we can go back and forth. All right, so, because
B
there are.
A
But the picture was. It was. It was Selena dancing I include pictures for a couple of the ones.
B
Okay. Was it like an offensive picture? Was there a reason why we couldn't see it?
A
No, it was just. It was just Selena dancing with Selena wearing a mumu.
B
No.
A
And if. And if Selena was wearing mumu, I would have. I would have warranted the inclusion, but it was just, you know, Selena dancing. Okay. I'd like a moomoo or a tutu. Okay. Or any type of. Ooh, that would be nice. All right, so here's one that I had prepared. Whistlenut or Selena as titties to find out. You're going to be a dad again in an extreme tard. That is a once in a lifetime moment. This is a tough one.
B
Okay, I'm going to say it's Whistle Nut. I don't believe that Selena Cities has been in a extreme tart yet.
A
All right, maybe that one was too easy. I'll give you another follow up. This one.
B
Can I get a visual of what the extrema tard is?
A
I have absolutely no idea. This. This one, he may or may not have said Oli. Apparently that is the name of someone close to him. You're more than just a bull to me, your family.
B
I feel like this is giving. Whistle Nut.
A
You're very good at this game.
B
It was a toss up.
A
Could have been anybody.
B
Yeah.
A
All right, back. Back to Brandon's version.
B
Okay. All right, here we go. All right. This job never gets old. Selena or Whistle Nut, this is.
A
You see, these are a little bit trickier than some of the ones that I came up with because this could be either of them. They both really enjoy their life's work. I derive great pleasure from thinking of either one of them attempting the other person's.
B
Yeah, could they do like a job swap?
A
That would be like. That would be a great episode of Wife Swap.
B
Yes.
A
I don't have a strong peak here. I. I don't know. I mean, again, I'm. I'm like gaming the game, you know, we just had a Selena answer. Are we going back and forth here? I do think I would. Would they call it even a job?
B
I don't know if you'd call. What the. If it's. If you love what you do, is it a job? So I would say Whistle Nut would
A
call it a job. I think rodeo clown, you see, I think rodeo clown is a way of life. I don't think that he considers that his job. That just is him. Tough. Okay, well, I'm fine. I don't have a strong feeling, so let's Go Whistle nut again. Okay, that is whistle nut.
B
Whistle nut. This job never gets in there. What was this picture of?
A
Of? That was him doing the job. It was him on a. On a horse, I think. Okay, I have another one here.
B
All right.
A
Kamu's trying to spill some piping hot tea, but, baby, I'm the kettle. Sit down.
B
That was whistle nut, right?
A
I don't think I understood the purpose of the game. I made it too easy. Was there a common one big brother 19 that that could have been about? Is that that? I don't think so.
B
Respectful.
A
Too much.
B
Cameron, a little shade after the parade. Okay. I feel like parade is. Is more likely to be attended by Selena Estes, who. Who would both enjoy throwing shade and a parade.
A
Well, hold on just a second here. Now, drag queens are known for giving shade, and they are known for attending the pride parade. However, you have heard of the song before, Bulls on Parade. And maybe the aforementioned shade is quite literally a covered area away from a hot day in the sun that was melting away his rodeo clown makeup. So I. You know, let's not be too quick to assume.
B
Does he seem like a Rage against the Machine kind of guy?
A
No, no, he does. No, he. He looks like he could have been throwing a house meeting at the tea party potentially this week. Right.
B
All right, let's go.
A
Selena is whistle nut again. We've been bamboozled. You orchestrated the opposite of what I did.
B
I really feel like that the picture would be. Would help to add a lot of context to see. See the visual of him. He was like, under a tree after a parade.
A
Yeah. Let me. Let me see if I can't screen share. There's two more, and the. The. The next two do have the picture with it. But let's see here if I can screen share quickly. We're being embarrassed on our own show, Rob. Yeah, we. We've got everything. I knew it.
B
Here he is a little. Yeah. Okay, that added a lot. Lot.
A
I think those are big.
B
All right.
A
Bulls, that is. We'll see what happens after.
B
All right, how about this one? Okay, let's go look for some trade at the jack in the bag box birthday bash. Hashtag dating, hashtag la. Hashtag sugar daddy. Who do you think said it, Eric?
A
Oh, this is a tough one. All right. I think we're finally going to get some points on the board here. Selena for the win. We got this one.
B
Let's go look for some trade. And I don't think he wants. Is looking for an interesting trade or the. At the At Jack in the Box birthday bash. Was it Jack in the Box his birthday?
A
I hope so. I hope it was not a person who was throwing their birthday party at Jack in the Box.
B
Yes.
A
Okay, so like do you get opportunities like that now that you're on the Traders? Have you been invited to the Jack in the Box?
B
I did have people from Chili's come over and make me food recently, but not Jack in the Box.
A
Look like a handsome Jack in the Box. Very.
B
Okay, so there it is.
A
Slim fit on this.
B
On Jack in the Box birthday bash.
A
Yeah.
B
That's cool.
A
I. I didn't make it there, but I would have loved to have gone if they would have invited me. I would have been there. To the Jack in the Box birthday bash?
B
Yes. Eric, when you go to Jack in the Box, do you get a Coke Zero?
A
They are, they are a Coke establishment where some. Some fast food places aren't. Some fast food places are all. Are all Pepsi or even worse when their own. They're like their original stuff. Original Jack in the Box. What Howie did on his season of Big Brother.
B
Hashtag Sugar Daddy, hashtag dating, hashtag la.
A
I mean not for nothing how he might have been the trade of the season potentially.
B
Yeah. And plenty of shade in the Jack Shack.
A
He was in the shade.
B
Okay. And then we have great sponsor. No better me anywhere. Thanks. Junior Meat Company. They ship
A
Junior Meat Company. Isn't that what Howie did this. It does feel very similar.
B
Meat anywhere. Is that what they said about Lala's bacon wrapped soup bites?
A
This meat is oozing. Surely there's better meat somewhere than in that kitchen at that moment. Well, this is a tough one too. Russell Hanson gentlemen seem to be going to getting free free free gifts and meets and parties everywhere they go.
B
Yeah.
A
Incredible.
B
I think it got. It's gotta be Whistle Nut, right?
A
Yeah, it's probably Whistle Nut.
B
Yep. Okay. And what do we have here? The Old Fashioned Meats.
A
So does this man just ride his bull around like to the store? What's happening? What also is a Whistle Nut to be more specific? I have a lot of questions now.
B
Yeah, I didn't remember 50 Cent Coffee there.
A
Did Jason Leroy have anything? Why did the Jason's on the show have. Have such interesting nicknames and additional Personas as well? This is a lot of surprising Old Fashioned Meat Shop. When you Google Whistle Nut it autocorrects to Whistle out, which I believe is a wireless phone provider. So Whistle Nut's not doing great in
B
terms of this Episod also by Whistle out looking to Be made in the shade this summer, then head on over to Whistle out for all of your coverage. Has to hashtag la, hashtag sugar daddy.
A
Well, the reason I started making up his quotes is because I was too nervous to Google Whistle Nut. I, I, I was like Jason Big Brother 19. I was did not want to find what Whistle Knight might have in store for me. That was an amazing game. I know that we spend a lot of time on that, so I'm not going to take too long, but I do have one or two other very quick ones prepared. So since they're already here, I have a Taylor Hale or Taylor Brown option. I have two quotes here, and let's see if you gentlemen can get them. Okay. The first one is, bitch just wanted to drink tea and eat a damn sandwich.
B
That's a trick question. I think they both said that.
A
Yes. And the second one is, I am not a shield. I am a sword. I am not a victim. I am a Victor. See, I made my questions a lot easier. Victor. Which Victor? Victor from big brother 18. I have cut my hair for the love of my life. All right, I have one last.
B
Giving himself a yacht.
A
Okay, this one is Barrett or Memphis Garrett.
B
Yes.
A
Okay. Shout out to my crib at the boys. That is how Barrett voted this week. Julie did not like that either. Big, big trouble, mister. And then the other one I have. Oops, no, this is not good. What I had prepared. Well, we had two. I have two.
B
Yeah.
A
One is this was shouted as 75 year old man, you're married. You want to call me a bad word? Womanizer. You want to be real? Let's get really real. Then, Jerry, that was not Barrett. That was Memphis Garrett. And then the other one, I speculated, he may have said, I, I think it might be, it might be for after the podcast. I don't know how this made my own edits in my own notes, but did it take?
B
Was this quote from outside the realm of the Big Brother house?
A
It's Big Brother adjacent.
B
Big Brother adjacent, adjacent.
A
Well, it, I may have viewed also some TMZ clips in preparation of it. There could have been other things, but, and I, I don't, I don't want it to get litigious. So let's just say yeah, yeah, okay. It was, it was something Memphis said.
B
Yeah. We don't want to get a beat down. Okay. All right, Brandon, thank you for the game. Thanks for all the work behind the scenes. Okay. All right. And then, Eric, what's next for you,
A
huh? Probably, probably gonna go and bake some of those bacon wraps. Sure. The thing is, it's like we've talked about it so much now. Now the curiosity is getting the best of me. I actually, the thought of even the cream of mushroom soup on its own is not one that is very appetizing to me. But. But now I feel like I do need to know. Do you think. So how do you think it's made? Like French toast? Do you think you dip it first? Is it applied like a jam? What's. What's the consistency? I'm going for?
B
So I don't really know, because I think that when you apply the heat, I feel like that the. The cream of mushroom soup is going to liquefy.
A
But also bacon. Bacon wrapping. What? It's just loose soup. What's this? What's the structure to this? Yeah, I think maybe a piece of bread.
B
Maybe there's a piece of bread in there. Also maybe that there was actually just
A
a recall on bacon. So this could be taking me right back to where I was two weeks ago.
B
Yeah, there's maybe a. A. A piece of bread that has the soup on it, and then that's wrapped in bacon.
A
Sounds a little clammy. I'm being honest. Yeah.
B
Okay. People are gonna be like, oh, I have them, and they're delicious. You guys don't know what you're talking about.
A
Oh, absolutely. This is like the time that you guys didn't know the terminology of, like, some. Something weird that. That cats did. Like cats making biscuits. Like, you guys don't know what you're talking about. Cream of mushroom soup is a delicious delicacy. I've been wrapping it in bacon since my childhood.
B
If I made this at my house, I think my wife Woodley leave.
A
I do think. Should we do that? Yeah, you know, we use. We used to egg each other out a little bit. Should I serve that at dinner tonight with no prompting, no context, and just see what response I get.
B
Oh, what's this? It's a cream of mushroom soup bite.
A
I've got Amber's quesadilla burger, some cream of mushroom soup bites. All should make you feel like we're home. I got. Oh, wait, what? Some. Some Jack in the box and the meat company.
B
Hashtag sugar daddy. Okay. All right, Eric. Well, I hope you're having fun. I'm looking forward to coming back next week with more summer of Stein. And in the meantime, check out Eric over on Chad bcc. Hopefully everybody's being kind to Eric.
A
Well, now that I've been reprimanded a couple times, I got to keep feeding the positive and stay crushing it over there. I, I don't want to be a bad seed. You know, I got to get in line with everybody.
B
Get in line please. All right. And then of course we have so much coming up here on a busy Thursday night where hopefully we'll positive please positive outcomes for tonight's big brother. Thank you for joining us. Take care, everybody. Have a good one.
