the drama, all the strategy and silliness from VO to HOH every single season, you know, he is the reason, you know, what's happening happening. Rob said that he could do it tomorrow. He will do it again. Hello, everyone, and good morning. Welcome to our live feed update for August 7th. I'm your host, Taren Armstrong, and I'm here today to update you on everything that happened yesterday on the big brother 28 live feeds. It was day 31 in the house, and it was the biggest of days as we got quite a lot going on before the eviction. If you watched last night's eviction, you might know that quite a lot has changed. We're going to go through all of that, change how it happened, why it happened, how we got to the eviction that we did, and. And then after all of that, a whole HOH competition up on the wall, an endurance competition for the ages. We have a new HOH and a whole new set of plans. It's a bunch to talk through. And with me to talk through it all is. Booyah. How you doing? Booyah.
Puya
I am good, Taran. We're out of the trenches. Our Fridays are so back. It was a movie. It was a movie. We had Feeds the movie once upon a time. BB21. This was cinema. I was so happy to see everything, and I cannot wait to break it all down.
Taren Armstrong
Yes, well, of course, as you know, at the start of the day on day 31, Haley still the HOH drew melody lyrics still on the block. The plan had shifted the day before because D had had the idea that Drew is loyal to them and would go after the red corner for them. And thus she decided she wanted to keep them. Keep him. They. Her and Devin's talked with Angela. Angela was. I mean, Devin's and Angela were not that down. But when they introduced the idea and incepted it into haley's mind and d1, oh, you're a genius, girl. That was such a great idea. They had so much fun with it that they were like, sure, this is great. We're down. So the plan had changed to saving Drew against Melody. However, Drew against Lyric was still Drew being evicted. And that was primarily because Camus had talked to Haley and been like, we need to split one. Split them up. One of Drew or Melody needs to go. Dee did not like this plan. Now, to be clear about all of this, they never really pushed back on it. Like it when they introduced the let's save Drew Plan it was to evict Melody. It's let's just evict Melody over anyone because she's the one person that will come after all of us. They never really pushed for Melody versus Lyric, and, and I maintain that they probably could have if they wanted to. However, Dee did not like that Kamu was intending to, in her mind, get in the way of her plan, but she didn't really do anything on day 30 about it. Then we got to day 31 and in the approach to day 31, Melody's feeling real bad because she recognizes now she's been mostly informed that she basically leaves in every scenario and that she needs to win the blockbuster if she wants to survive. Drew, who had been feeling good, is finally starting to feel a little bit of fire because Mallory told him the night before that he will leave against Lyric according to what she's been told. And then he, in his mind caught Camus talking to Yash about flipping the vote against him. And when asking Camus about whether he would stay against Lyric, Ka Mu refused to swear on the Bible about it. So we were like, what is going to happen with that? Coming into day 31. That is the setup for day 31. And we start the day with a beaten down Melody in the gym on her own talking about how, you know, my luck does not end here. My luck is about to actually begin here. You know, I, I, I think I used up a little bit of my luck getting into this house and I needed to lose a lot to fill back my luck. My fill my luck jar back up. You know, I needed to lose all these competitions to fill up my luck jar and now I have my luck jar and I can use my luck jar again. That's how it works. That's how the luck jar works.
Puya
Honestly, this is the bare minimum I can ask about for somebody who's on the block the day of and you know, even hearing any murmurs of you staying or going, just not being completely defeated and out of it, you gotta hype yourself up if no one else is going to.
Taren Armstrong
And hey, maybe that's how the luck jar works. Drew talks to Devin's and he kind of lets Devins know, know about the whole situation with Kamu, the swearing on the Bible. He thinks Kamu's trying to flip the vote against him when it comes to Lyric. Now it's important to note we'll, we'll hear more of this later, that in Drew's mind, the crossovers are still the crossovers, but that the red corner is in the process of flipping the vote against him to keep Lyric. And that's why Mallory heard that, and that's why he was catching Camus saying that. And he won't swear in the Bible. And we'll. We'll get more details when he talks to Deeb, but he basically explains much of this to Devins and he says, I'm totally done with the Red Corner. Like, I'm done with them. Three of them go up on the block. I. I'm back to being done with them because he had kind of softened on that stance. And he goes on to try to pitch, like, just so you know, like, Lyric is a number for them. You know that, right? Like, she's a number for the other side. And Devins is like, you don't need to convince me, Drew. If you've got one vote to stay tonight, I'm that vote. And. And Drew's like, that's good. And. And honestly, Devin's. I'm pretty sure you and D both have powers, but it's fine. I don't want you to tell me just, if I win and I go after them, just let me know if something's going to interfere.
Puya
I do love that. I mean, this is a great campaign made, even if the vote well, however, we're trying to be convinced. I just like the idea of flexing these muscles because you're going to need them down the line anyway when you're on the block.
Taren Armstrong
Yeah. So Drew now knows if Red Corner is against him, there might be some other votes there too. He. He. He's worried about Yash's vote now. He knows he needs at least, and he's known this for a while, that if Red Corner turned on him, that these would be the votes he's counting on. He knows he needs crossovers, meaning the three vets and Barrett plus Melody, Mallory, some combination of that. He needs six votes to stay. And normally, you know, again, you're not really counting down to votes because it's about what the power structure decides unless the power structure disintegrates. So Drew goes to D and he says, d, if Melody wins, I'm going home. He's what? In her mind, I think, how did you know that? Who's saying that? Who's saying that? He says, well, I mean, listen, if the crossovers stay good, I've got crossovers plus Melody and Mallory. But she's like, oh, you're good then. Yeah, but I need you and Angela go, you got us. Of course. He's like, well, here's. Here's here's what I'm. I'm saying, like, I. I think Kamu's going to tell you today. He's going to approach you. He wants to flip the boat against me. When. When do they do this? Like at midnight last night I caught him trying to flip Yash against us. Listen, you can just say yes to Kamu and pretend you're on board and it'll be six. Five will blindside. She said what?
Puya
What?
Taren Armstrong
You. You caught them last night? Yeah. Yeah. I asked Khamu to swear on the Bible if he would. If, if he was not that he wouldn't vote me out. Kamu wouldn't do it. Yeah. Yeah. So just act surprised when Kamu approaches you today. He's going to say, hey, we're going to flip the vote against Drew, against Lyric, and, and just say yes and we'll flip it. And, and you know, like, Melody's going to leave. Yes, but I'm ready. I'm ready to go full force against them. I'm ready.
Puya
Can we rewind real quick? And this may have come up recently. This may have come up before. I might not be remembering at which point Taran was de successful in incepting that she has no idea what's going on, that people can talk to her like this and she gets away with it. What was the focal point? Not what happened night one. Can we can remind me what did she do?
Taren Armstrong
And she spent so much of her hoh talking about how she's so new to this game. You know, she's so new to. She doesn't really bruh. Big brothers are different, you know, and she, she really just like she's able to put on. And she literally says it later in the day. She says it multiple times. Like, these people think I'm so stupid. Yeah, it's. It's very effective. It continues to work. She's literally the only winner in this entire game. And. And many people continue to severely underestimate her. But. So yes, of course D already knows this. And Drew didn't catch Kamu trying to flip the vote last minute. The vote had been that way. But Drew did catch on to something here. And so D is able to be like, what? Whoa. So. So Drew is suggesting this. Drew goes and talks to Melody and lets her know too. Like, listen, I think you're screwed. I think, listen, you need to win the blockbuster because I don't think you have the votes, but I think I do. Against Lyric. I think I've got the votes. And he's talking to Mallory, too. Like, Mallory. As long as I've got Mallory here, I should have the votes. And Mallory's like, well, what other votes do you have? He's like, I. I just. I think I have them. He's like, the icons. Do you have the icon? Maybe Feeds. Cut feed Scotts. We don't really see the rest of that conversation, but. But he's trying to pitch this like, I've got these votes. And right now he still doesn't, to be clear, but he thinks, honestly, ideal scenario is Melody wins the blockbuster. He goes up on the. The final in. In the. In the chairs against Lyric, and then he stays with his six votes. They blindside the other side. Meanwhile, Devin talks to Barrett about the possibility of keeping Drew against Lyric. Barrett still under the assumption that they have flipped the votes to keep Drew against Melody but not to keep him against Lyric. And Devin says, well, we're considering it, but if we do this, we would need Mallory. Do you think you can get her? Barrett is like, maybe. Like, it's not guaranteed. But honestly, I'm more concerned about Dee and Angela. Like, would they be on board? And Devin's is like, well, I think D would be probably, but not sure about Angela. And honestly, none of this really matters because it's only if Melody wins the Blockbuster that we're talking about a scenario where Drew and Lyric are on the block together. So is that really gonna happen? It's probably not gonna happen. So, like, why are we even causing all this fuss? But he goes upstairs and he talks to Dee. They get. They get in the hoh room together alone. And. And D says, okay, where are we? He says, you know what? I'm fine.
Puya
I'm open.
Taren Armstrong
I'm open to. I'm open to burning them if we get the votes. Me too. Let's have fucking fun. Why are we following what they're doing?
Puya
Right?
Taren Armstrong
Like, who gives a. Enough of this crap. I don't care. We can backtrack next week if they win. They need us. They need us. Devin says, well, Angela will be tough. I don't know if we have Mallory, and I don't know if we have Mallory or Yash or Taylor or Lala. D says, well, Mallory will do what Barrett says. And Devin's like, okay, so we're talking about in the case of. Of who. That, like, Drew stays no matter what. Unless Melody wins. She's. No. Yeah, yeah, but that's. That means we're sucking. Succumbing. What's the word? That was D. That was decent. He. She says, What I'm saying is we don't even have to worry about it. Or. Sorry. Devin says, we don't even have to worry about it unless she wins. We just need one more vote. And he's like, oh, yeah. So Mallory. I think if Barrett can get in Mallory's head, then we've got to. Maybe m. Maybe Melody can help too. Melody can get in Mallory's head about Drew. And then she says, and also now that I'm thinking about it, in the event that Drew wins, why are we sending Melody home if it's the case that she can never win and she hates the other three, you know what I'm saying? And Lyric would never put any of them up. Why are we keeping her? And Devins is like, Fine, let's get rid of her.
Puya
Yes.
Taren Armstrong
Yes. Let's blow shit up and lie about the votes. And then it's chaos. Yash did it and they need us. Oh, my God, I'm shaking. This is so fun. And just like that, the plan is set.
Puya
Yep. Lyric is now the target. Day of, Mind you, day of. Everything's flipped on its head.
Taren Armstrong
This is. I don't have the exact. This is like, hours before the eviction is.
Puya
It was take place like 1:00pm, 1:30pm around.
Taren Armstrong
Yeah, around 1. Around 1:1pm so, like, yeah, like, less than five hours before the eviction at this point. But this is still not locked in by any means. They say, okay, we might have to strong arm Angela to. To get her on board. And Angela comes in and they start talking to her, and they tell her about Kamu refusing to swear on the Bible. She goes, They pull her out. They say, d says, I think Drew is now radicalized against the cool kids. He's more with us than ever. Lyric is much better for them than us. But also, if we keep Drew and Melody, that's a showman's. That's a target. And Melody hates them. And Angela is just like, nodding like, that does make sense. She says, if Lyric wins, we are the most in trouble. Lyric. I was talking to Lyric, he says, and she said she wouldn't put up Chuck, Haley or Kamu. And this is true. This is the conversation that D had with Lyric. And I do think she was kind of annoyed. You remember she was trying to get hit, get Lyric to go against Chuck and. And Kamu and Haley. But Lyric was reluctant to do so, rightfully so, because she was like, you're working with them. No, I just talked to Lyric. We had an ex interview with her. And I told her, like, Yeah, I think part of the reason D was using to take you out was that you didn't want to go after them. And she's like, what was I supposed to say to her? But it is what it is. At this point, she says Lyric might put up Devin's. I don't think she put up me or Angela, but she might put up Devin's. And she didn't seem. She seemed reluctant to put up Chuck, Haley, and Kamu. And Angela is like, yeah, yeah, yeah. She's nodding along, but then Angela realizes, wait, well, oh, my God. I know Haley will fucking flip on me, though, because again, just to be clear, they're talking about flipping this vote and not telling Chuck, Haley, or Kamu about it. Just taking the votes, blindsiding them, and then lying about the vote, which is what Dee responds with. Angela, you don't have to say it's you and you can see, oh, okay. We can put the blame on Yash. It'll be chaos. It was like. But what about you guys? I'll lie, too. It was Taylor, Lala, whoever else, take it to the grave. All right, fuck it. Let's do it. Let's do it. This is Big Brother. Yes. And they start dancing. And they start dancing. We're going to do it. So the plan is set. Get the votes, blindside the red corner, lie about the votes afterward.
Puya
Yeah, it's. Listen, they are playing like they are not in the running for $750,000, and I am very happy about that. This isn't optimal. This is ideal. This isn't clinical. It's chaotic. And it's perfect for us because quite frankly, given the culture of the house the last three weeks, Taryn. They could easily get this to be unanimous tonight if they have two conversations. They don't need to do this at all.
Taren Armstrong
Totally wild to blindside. There's plenty of analysis to be done about how this is not the optimal way to do this in any sense, but there's a bit too much retelling to do to go too deep into that at the moment.
Puya
That's another day. That's a. That's a dry day's.
Taren Armstrong
Yeah, that's. That's maybe tomorrow or a round table discussion. But yeah, I mean, it's a. It's an incredibly bad decision considering how easy it would have been to manipulate them into being okay with this in the first place. But, hey, we're not complaining. Devins goes to Barrett, and this is where things. I was live at this point on my Patreon. Very fun. You can watch it back if you want. You can see this whole thing play out from a. From the them talking to Angela. This is big brother about. On, if you would like good stuff there over on my Patreon. But there was still some. There were still some issues. The issues were that they needed to actually lock in the votes. They needed to not back down from this bad plan, and they needed to effectively communicate both angles. Drew versus Lyric and Melody versus Lyric. And there was the major problem of Devin's not communicating that part, because I think he forgot about it. In Devin's mind, this is the Drew versus Lyric vote. And when he goes to Barrett, he says, crossovers are on board. We're keeping Drew over Lyric. We just need you to get in, get to lock in Mallory. He does not tell Barrett about Melody versus Lyric. He only tells him about Drew versus Lyric. So Barrett is like, okay, I'm down. He's gonna go talk to Mallory. In the meantime, Devins goes and talks to Taylor. And Devin's approaches Taylor again about the Drew versus Lyric vote, not the Melody versus Lyric vote. He says, taylor, I. I think we're gonna, like, flip this vote to keep true. Drew is better for our games than Lyric. Lyric is with the other side. And as he starts talking about this, it's like, number one, this is messy as hell because he's openly now discussing flipping a vote against these people who will probably hear about this at some point or another. Number two, Taylor is hilarious in this conversation because as soon as he starts talking seriously, she just backs up, just like. And as she backs up to the wall, the, like, wardrobe door opens in front of her. And now she's like, behind the wardrobe
Puya
door is hidden, and he has to,
Taren Armstrong
like, open it up to keep talking to her. He's like, so, yeah, so listen, I think lyrics a number for the other side. Whereas, you know, Drew, he's gonna come after the cool kids. And she's like, you keep saying us. You're on that side. He's like, yeah, listen, this is the whole thing. We're gonna flip this thing. And she's. She's skeptical. She's like, listen, I, I, I have had a thing with Drew. I did have a good conversation with him last night. So I am open to this. But, you know, it's. I don't want to be left, like, holding the bag here. Like, I, I don't want to be flipping a vote if the votes aren't there. And he says, the votes will be there. She says, okay, and we can't Save Odie. At this point, there's no, there's no. And Odie, of course Melody. And Devin says, no, there's no saving Odie. Not pitching the Melody vote. Devin's not pitching the Melody vote. This is important because if he doesn't pitch the Melody vote, even though they might have the votes for it, it might not come together. She says she needs to think about it. While she's thinking about it, Barrett is bringing the plan to Mallory. He's saying, we're thinking about keeping Drew over lyrics. Mallory is open to the idea, but reluctant. She still is friends with Lyric, but Melody comes in before any of this can, like, go anywhere. And Mallory's like, what about Melody? And Melody's like, yeah, am I gonna stay? And Barrett's like, sure, yes. But he's lying to her in this moment. Like, what about me versus Drew? Like, yeah, yeah, we'll vote for you against Drew. Yeah, for sure. So Ben, Barrett talks to Taylor, and he confirms. He, like, Taylor's talking with him. She's like, so Devin's is coming to me with his plan to keep Drew over Lyric. And he's like, yeah, that's what he's telling me too. She's like, is this real? Are we gonna, are we gonna be, like, left? Are we tricked into doing this? Like, what's happening? I, I, I, I agree with you. I don't want to, I don't want to be, like, on the wrong side of this, but I think it's real. And, and so, you know, I, I think that's what's happening. So she's like, all right, I think I might be down to do this. She's gonna talk to, to Devin's about it again. And while all this is happening now, Mallory's going back to the, the pod room. And Lyric is like, so I'm good, right? And Mallory's like, yeah, yeah, yeah, I think, I think you're good.
Puya
Oh, boy.
Taren Armstrong
This is, this is bad news. But they still haven't gotten the Melody thing. Drew talks to Barrett, and Drew's excited. He's like, I think we got, like, Barrett's like, Taylor's on board. We got Taylor on board with the votes are here. Drew is staying against Lyric. This is not a problem. They're going to blindside the house. This is huge. It's even bigger for them because of just the fact that they're blindsided on the other side. It kind of exposes the vet's position. It puts them in a better spot. But Melody is a lost cause. Melody's a lost cause. They both agree there's no hope for Melody. And I'm watching this, and I'm just like, where is D? And she's with Angela and in the diary room. But, like, Devins is not pitching the Melody plan. And if Barrett doesn't know about the Melody plan, the Melody plan can't happen. They need those six votes. And they're now Barrett and Drew, they're agreeing Melody's a lost cause. So Dee then joins this conversation. I'm like, okay, here we go. Dee's gonna communicate to them what the actual plan is at this point. She says, barrett, is Mallory in on the plan? On the plan? Barrett says, yes. Mallory's in. I'm like, oh, my God. I swear to God, if these people don't talk about what the plan actually is, I'm gonna lose my mind. And she says, drew, I swear to God, we are going above and beyond. You little. You'd better not this up, or we're. Because we're burning everyone for you. He's like, okay, yeah, we're good. We're all good. Good. Because if you win. She says, if you win. And she gets interrupted because she's talking about, if you win, we're keeping mouth. And she gets interrupted. Drew's like, yeah, yeah, it's. It's gonna be fine. And I'm like, let her talk. Let her talk. And Barrett says, well, see, this is. This is a problem I'm having is that Mallory still wants Melody to stay, so we have to tell her that we're keeping Melody. And Dee's like, okay, then tell her that, because D thinks they are already in on the plan, and that that is the plan. Like, oh, yeah. Then tell her that, because that's what we're doing. But she doesn't say that part. She says to tell her that. And Barrett's like, yeah, that's what we have to tell her. And she's like, okay. Because Barrett's like, yeah, we're having to lie to her. But D, things were telling her the actual plan because she doesn't know that they don't know the plan. But Barrett, I think, is like, wait, something's weird here. And he goes, we are voting out Melody. And Drew says, yeah, I think we have to before Deacon say anything. And I'm like, drew. Drew says, yeah, I think we have to vote on Melody. And that's when D says, no, why would we do that? And Drew's like, she's. He says to Drew, you want to vote out Melody? Are you stupid? And she was like, oh, I mean. I mean, I'm. I'm down. I'm down. Yeah, I'm so down.
Puya
All right.
Taren Armstrong
And he looks over Barrett and Bear's like, yeah. I mean, ok, yeah, let's fuck it up. Let's blow it up. Let's go.
Puya
I mean, I just don't understand how we got this far into the conversations, Taran, with everyone agreeing, okay, Melody's probably not going to win this comp yet. We're talking about the niches scenario where Melody wins. And that's the plan. That's the burning down plan. If we're committing arson here, how are we committing arson but then keeping the main part of the building safe? That makes no sense. If we're doing it, we're doing the whole thing. That's the only way it should be. I don't know how it took them this long to get there. I don't know if this was just for Drew being like, I'm on the damn block. I'm just gonna, yes, whatever they're giving me. Not really thinking about the idea of, like, well, why can't we have both if we really want Lyric gone?
Taren Armstrong
Mm. Yeah. So Barrett's gonna have his conversation with Mallory where he really locks it in. He tells her, we're keeping Melody, we're keeping Drew. And she's not happy about it. Like, she's happy, of course, that the vote is flipping. She's happy that this is good for their games, but she feels really bad about Lyric. She kind of has to talk herself into it and rationalize the decision. You know, she's going to go home to. To. To Rome. She did throw us under the bus. I don't trust what she will do if she wins. She talks about how annoyed she is with her position, but hopefully that'll change. She says, no, I'm fucking horrible because you're all ruining my life. This, she's talking about that. She just feels bad, but she's down to do it. And so what this means, of course, is that the votes are in. Drew. If it's Melody versus Lyric, they have six. They have Drew, Devins, Angela, D, Barrett and Mallory. If it's Drew versus Lear, if it's Drew versus Lyrics, they've got all of those same votes. Sub and Melody for Drew. And then they also now have Taylor, who's in on that vote, but they don't have Taylor for the other side yet. Barrett does talk about potentially going to. To Taylor, Lala and Yash before the vote to try to get all of them on board as well. Of course, this is what Barrett is interested in doing. But if you're Dee and Angela and you're planning to lie about your vote, you kind of don't want that many votes. But either way, you know, this is. This is a big thing now. Yash, of course, not going to be very happy with this. Yash wants Lyric to stay. And we still haven't, like, fully locked everything in, but the feeds go down for the eviction and we're left kind of just like it seems like the plan is in place, but there are some things that can go wrong, including one, Lyric could win the blockbuster and then all of this is for naught. Two, the plan could fall through. It either leaks or somebody changes their minds or the communication doesn't fully wrap around and nobody, not everybody, knows exactly what they need to be doing. And then number three, the wall comp is coming and even a blindsided group of people can win and. And reset everything. Once again, we've seen this happen. Big Brother 25. So heading into the eviction, that is what is on at least my mind as I stress out about this blockbuster.
Puya
I was just excited to not know what exactly is going on and then to be excited for getting something different after having the reign of hell. That was Haley's hoh. So I was just excited and we were getting the wall like life was good. I was. I was feeling good.
Taren Armstrong
Yes. Well, we head into the eviction. If you watch the episode, you've seen this. We get the blockbuster competition. Lyric actually was in the lead until she put a piece in the wrong place. Apparently she also tripped and fell at one point, but we couldn't see that because why would we see everybody compete in the competition at one time? But Drew buzzes in and wins the blockbuster, which means Melody stays on the block against lyrics. This was just a few hours before locked in for Lyric to stay. And now in a vote of 8 to 3, Lyric has been evicted from the big brother house and Haley has her jaw agape. Eight to three, of course, means that they got Taylor on board with this melody plan as well. Taylor, we even saw some of it. Got Lala on board. They did approach Yash with this who declined to participate. Apparently he really wanted Lyric to stay. So Lyric now gone and this is where we're at. As Rome, Jason and Lyric have all been evicted back to back to back in slightly different ways. But all replacement nominees all the way from Ashley to Rome to Jason to Lyric, the replacement nominee has been the Dead spot here on the block. But here we are. The eviction has happened. Lyric is gone. The red corner is confused, and the plan was to lie about the votes. And that is exactly what Angela indeed do. And you might think that's kind of wild, right? It was an 8 to 3 vote. Chuck, Camus and Yash are the only people that voted. You've got one vote of wiggle room, which is Yash's vote maybe. And you've got at least two people who are trying to. To act like they were votes on that side. How would this possibly work? Oh, right, it's the red corner.
Puya
Yeah. Like if there's something that's going to happen is they're going to fumble along here. Because I do think hiding amongst three votes is a wild place to be. Like, there should be no business for anyone to be able to successfully do this, let alone like two people getting away with complete murder. And then the two, like the three people who voted. How are you going to even doubt them? Yet here we are, Taryn. Because everyone has been looking at each other a little shady. Everyone's been looking at each other a little more self interested than they perhaps even have been.
Taren Armstrong
Yeah. And when the feeds come back, it's before the wall comp starts. It's post eviction and Haley is confused. She is doing her absolute best fessy impression. Who flip. Like, what is. Why didn't people talk to me about this? Why? I told everyone. I don't know why this is so hard to understand, but if the information didn't come from me, it's not real information. That's how it works. I was the hoh. If you talked to somebody else who told you where the vote was, then you shouldn't have believed them. You should only have believed me because I was the one in charge. Um, and she's saying that because the excuse from Devins and Barrett is like, oh, what? I thought we were all doing this. Wait, you guys didn't want Lyric out? I thought what people were saying, everyone's changed their minds and the lyric was leaving. That's. That's not what you wanted. No, that's not what I wanted. That. That didn't come from me. Why would you think that that was true information? Oh, damn. I see. I thought you. I thought you were chill with it. I thought why wouldn't you. Why would you believe it if it didn't come from me? Like, oh, yeah, but everyone was saying it, so I thought it was. I thought that was what was happening. Like, no, that's not how it. You need to listen to me. Oh, okay. Sorry about that. Taylor's like, yeah, I don't know. I don't know why it changed. I mean, I think probably because Lyric was throwing all her friends under the bus. I don't know. I think that's what was happening. So that's. That's going on over there. Drew's talking to Melody and Mallory. He's talking about how he's, first of all hyping them up to win the hoh, but he's also talking about how he was told that. That Yash was talked to about the vote and that Yash said, no, we need to break up Drew and Melody. So Drew now knows that Yash took a hard stance. And apparently what Drew did after hearing that was he followed Yash around the house for the next two hours before the eviction to make sure Yash couldn't tip off the red corner that the Blind side was going to happen.
Puya
That was. That's perfect. I love that kind of recon work. I just can't understand. First of all, we have to all agree now. Haley has had the worst month anyone has had in big brother history. This is struggle for real.
Taren Armstrong
Terrible. It's just been big day after big day.
Puya
Yeah. I. You know, and, like, I've never wished this on my worst enemy. To be diagnosed with HOH ITIs after your reign still is.
Taren Armstrong
Yeah. Bad. Yeah, it's. I mean, it's really like there's a 99 remission rate for hohitis once you. Once you lose the HOH status. But there is the 1%. And, you know, we're still searching for that cure.
Puya
Yeah. Yeah. And I hope we find it someday.
Taren Armstrong
Me too. Anyway, Devin's continues to talk through his situation. He's explaining to Chuck and Camu and Angela's there that, like. Yeah, I was just approached really late, and I thought everyone was on board. And Chuck's like, no, no, no, I know. I know who's lying to me. I know what's going on here. And he's. He's like, well, yeah. And Yash is there, and he's like, yash. Yash is like, we should have had a guaranteed six. We should have had a guaranteed six. Like, this shouldn't have happened. And Chuck is like, it was Barrett.
Puya
Right?
Taren Armstrong
It was Barrett. And Devin's like, I don't. He wasn't in the group that talked to me, so I don't really know. And they're like, who is the group that talked to you? Like, Ah, it's like a big group of people. It's like it was the whole other side of the house, basically. I thought that. I really. I didn't. I thought it was a whole house thing. I really thought you guys would be cool with it regardless. I didn't think it was a big deal, so that's why I was kind of like, oh, that. Okay, I guess that's what we're doing. And Angela's like, never reached me. I never heard anything about it. I voted Lyric stay. And Kama was like, yeah, you know, I mean, it was. It was probably innocent. I. It was probably innocent. It was just that I just don't like that there's people that might be lying. You know what I mean? Like, it's. It's okay to make an innocent mistake. Just don't lie about it. Which is just like, such a sketchy thing to say when you're one of the suspects.
Puya
Yeah,
Taren Armstrong
it was probably an innocent mistake, guys. Whoever did it was probably completely innocent in making the mistake and that then. And we should just be honest about it.
Puya
Like, ain't the move to be more angry in this spot if you've been left in the dust. If you're trying to be understanding and try to justify it, it will just look like you kind of were involved in it too.
Taren Armstrong
Well, the problem is that there's an upcoming HOH and they are vastly outnumbered, and so they're trying to do both at the same time, which is like. Well, actually, I actually love Melody and wanted her to stay. I just didn't realize that the votes were there. But also, I'm really mad that I. That the votes didn't go the way that I thought they would and did it. It's like, it's a tough dynamic to. To walk. And Kamus not doing a great job. He talks to Haley and she's pretty suspicious of him. The math doesn't add up. Kamu. There's. There's three votes and five people claiming that they voted that way, which means two people are lying. And I will tell you for a fact, Ka Mu, Angela and D. Are not one of those people. They are two of the guaranteed votes. Which means one. Two of you, Chuck, or. Or Yash are lying.
Puya
You know about that luck jar earlier. Like, D has the. This is ridiculous. The fact that these two are looked at as safe is wild to me. You think that the two votes she would guarantee be like, were in her corner are Kamu and Chuck. That's not the case.
Taren Armstrong
Not the case at all. She Says Kamu, tell me, why did you come up to me earlier today asking if I was mad at you? It's like I, I was just being playful. I was just like, I, like I. I will swear to you on whatever you need. Oh, all of a sudden we're swearing on whatever we need, huh? Devin's. Devin's pops in again. Say like the whole other side of the house was saying it was unanimous. I don't know. Common's like, I swear it wasn't me. Evan's like, I believe him. Haley says, if that's true, then the votes must have come from you. Angela and D and Yash and Chuck are lying. Meanwhile, Chuck's talking to D, who continues to play dumb. Yeah, I don't know. I haven't heard anything. I don't understand. And Chuck says, I think Devin's is lying. I think Devin's was in on this. I don't, I don't believe what he's doing. All of this is happening. Melody's back upstairs in the gym. She's got her phone calling her mom again. Dude, this feels so good. Oh, I just know Haley is pissed. Me and Drew, Me and Drew are here. Dude, like your HOH was literally a joke just like you. Maybe you need to reevaluate your. Your game. Your game is really shaky. I messed that up. Okay?
Puya
I love Melody so much. Melody did none of the work yesterday to stick around.
Taren Armstrong
Hey, don't discount her luck jar.
Puya
Oh, the luck jar put in the Lord's work for sure. I'm just so here for Melody. I'm here for the foam bit. I cannot wait to. And I really hope we get the moment where we see melodies. Goodbye message to Haley because I predict it's going to be an all timer in the history books.
Taren Armstrong
So Haley talks with Chuck. Haley joins the conversation. Chuck and D. Kama joins it as well. Haley says, yeah, I. Because they're talking about Devin's again. And Haley's like, yeah, I do think that, that, that Devin's probably is panicking about not being able to compete against us and that he's. He's against us and you. Barrett is a liar. He's done. And, and D says, chuck, I think you're wrong about Yash because Chuck thinks Yash. So just to be clear, Chuck thinks that Devins and Barrett are lying about the whole the house told me thing that they're not getting away with that. Kamu said he believed it, but you know, Chuck doesn't believe it and Chuck thinks that himself and Yash Are two guaranteed votes for. For a lyric to stay. Chuck believes that the third vote is D because he is having this conversation with her, and he's feeling really good about it, which means he thinks that Angela is lying. He also thinks that Camus is lying. So that is Chuck's theory. And so Dee's like, chuck, I really think you're wrong about Yash. I really think that Yash might have been the one. And Haley agrees. It makes sense that Yash, Devons, and Barrett are in something and they did something together because she just caught the three of them in the bathroom all talking about the vote. All three of them talking about the vote. And what was really happening was that Yash was kind of scolding them, like this was the wrong move, but she saw the three of them together, and so she thinks maybe the three of them were in on this and that Yash was one of those votes. She still believes it was probably Angela, D. And now potentially Kamu, maybe Chuck, who knows? Dee says, if I have to believe. I don't want to believe that Devins is. Is doing this on purpose, but if I have to believe it, which I don't want to, we'll just gonna have to pretend we're still good with him, though, for numbers. We can't lose him, which is a great line, Great way to prevent this from, you know, bubbling over in the wrong way. Chuck is still skeptical of Angela, though. He's still like, are you sure about Angela, Haley? And Haley says, chuck, Angela would never go against me. She doesn't even talk to the other side of the house. I would die on that hill. Somebody. Somebody dig that grave.
Puya
The dummy hill. Yeah. Enjoy. I think part of why this is working successfully, Taran, is because of the fact that whether it was coordinated or not, I think everyone having a different story helps. Right? I think Angela and D being the two. We did vote Lyric. We didn't vote Lyric out. And then having someone like Barrett and Devin's being on the other side, like, well, we kind of just thought that was where it was going, allows there to be a little bit mischief because, again, these only three votes should have been very cut and dry.
Taren Armstrong
And.
Puya
And if five people, those four people were all saying the same thing, I think it becomes easy to dispel. But I think because it's a mix and match, it's a little bit more of a blurry lines.
Taren Armstrong
But then Angela. Sorry. Then Haley has an idea. Wait.
Puya
Oh, great.
Taren Armstrong
Wait, wait, wait, wait, wait. Hold on. Hear me out. Could one of the powers Be to like flip a vote or something. What? Oh, like, oh, okay. Like the numbers would work, right? It wouldn't, but the numbers would work. He's like, oh, they do have that on Survivor where sometimes you can like mess with the votes. Like, oh, okay, yeah, yeah, that might be, that might be what happened.
Puya
Yeah, the UNO reverse card. Yeah, that exists.
Taren Armstrong
I mean to be, to be fair to Haley, it does kind of make sense that there'd be a power that would mess with the votes, especially with Survivor players in the game and all of the vote messing that happens on Survivor. It's actually not a, an unreasonable theory.
Puya
I mean that is not a bad one to have like down the line somewhere. But it's one of them ones where if we get it in the hands of the underdogs, I'm here for if we get it in the hands of the power to be, it's going to suck. So if you're taking notes, production, you may put in the right hands. That's all I'm saying.
Taren Armstrong
Well, D talks to the cameras and she says many things but one of the things, of course she says that playing stupid is so like, is why they believe me because I'm playing stupid so well, Evans, he can't play stupid this well. It's, it's. He's not able to do it as much, but I got, I got his back. Meanwhile, Chuck and Yash, who still believe each other agree that two of D, Angela and Camus are lying. They, they think that two of them must be lying and they are. They, they, they are not sure which two are lying, but they are sure. They, they both agree the one person they are sure is lying of the three of D, Angela and Camus is that they are fully sure that Camus lying.
Puya
Two idiots saying. Yes, exactly. Because Taren, how in what world? Like, okay, we've talked about how Devin's and D have done a good job on maybe hiding their relationship here. Angela and D, I feel like, have been seen quite often together. I'm quite surprised that in an equation of these three, those two do not look like the common denominator. If you're looking for a 2, how is Kamu the one that's the constant here for them?
Taren Armstrong
I have been talking about it all week, right? Like Kamu has been in my playful recreation of his actions, skulking around in the shadows with his hoodie up because he didn't want to be caught being part of the anti drew movement. Right. He was not attending meetings. He was like, don't include Me, I don't want to get. I don't want to be caught being anti Drew. And he's kind of distanced himself from this GRU in general because of that. And in the meantime, he was spending a lot of time with Lyric and, like, doing all this other stuff. And so it. It kind of tracks. Like, you can kind of see why they came to this conclusion because they've felt that distance from Kamu. He's like the Drew of their group now. And. And on top of it, he's being real weird about the whole vote. Like, he's not very. He's not really trying to investigate in the same way that a lot of other people are right now. And so, you know, it's. It's sketching them out. In the meantime, Kamu's going to like Melody and Mallory, and he's saying, like, if I win, I'm putting up what the. Some combination of, like, Chuck D and Angela, because two of them are lying. He kind of believes Yash, but he's not sure about Yash. And so that's happening there. Angela, though, has a very interesting conversation with Taylor and Lala. They talk about the vote. Taylor talks about Lyric throwing her allies under the bus, which was what convinced her to flip sides. And when Taylor leaves, Angela talks to Lala about the honor society. Remember that? The honor society, it was Taylor, Lala, Angela, and D. Lala still likes it, and Angela agrees. Angela says, you know, the. We have kids their age in this house, but at the end it'll be me and you. And Lala says, I love it, I love it, I love it, I love it.
Puya
Hey, welcome back, Honor Society.
Taren Armstrong
Kamu tells Drew he thinks the tool shed is dead. Drew's like, tool. She's not dead. The tool shell is dead. The tool shed is dead. Sorry. The treehouse is dead.
Puya
And. And Larkin.
Taren Armstrong
And Larkin's gone. And all of that happens. Puya. And we still haven't even gotten to the wall comp yet, but it has set up quite the wall comp to get to, because it is all out war. And who wins. This is going to heavily determine who wins the battle of, like, who gets caught for what vote. Because to be clear, while Haley and Camus and Chuck and Yash are all in the dark about exactly who voted what and where these votes are, the rest of the house is very clear on it. Everyone knows that Dee and Angela voted to keep Melody, and at any given moment, they can try to rat those two out. And they have a lot of info to dump on it and a lot of people to corroborate. So it's still a pretty interesting position. Now they are saying we're not going to rat them out. We're grateful that they jumped on board with us. There's no reason to rat them out right now. But they're being very messy. And if Hamu were to win an HOH or something along those lines, you know, Kamu is going to be able to more successfully defend his position as a lyric vote supporter. And. And people are going to be, you know, probably running around trying to throw each other under the bus to stay safe. So it's a very important HOH competition for many, many reasons. And when we finally start, we see it's a bit of a different wall comp. Yeah. You're holding up on a bar above you and your feet are below you. There are handles to the side, but they are not good. You're not going to hold on to those. You're going to hold onto the bar in front of you. We have seen this before slightly that usually the higher the hand holds, the more sort of upright your arms are. In a wall competition, the better the muscly dudes do. Jackson1 holding something above his head. You know, like, just in general, it. It allows for better, like, weight distribution. It allows the. The more muscular, heavier people to. To sort of like, use their muscles to. To hold themselves up rather than rely on, like, grip or having, like, their whole body start to tip over and then your weight goes down. You can kind of control your weight. It is height adjusted, which is nice. But as soon as I saw this, I was like, Kamu, who already had a good shot at winning this, is probably a favorite to win this.
Puya
Yeah.
Taren Armstrong
Especially with this version of it.
Puya
Very quickly, the competition watching this changed from I wonder who's going to win to okay, if Kamu drops. Now we have a live game. It really felt like it was common to lose almost immediately, which was very concerning.
Taren Armstrong
Yes. So right away, before the feeds even started on the wall comp, Angela dropped. Angela. Angela went out. It happens. We then have everyone up there. There's like a yeti that comes out. Not a yeti. One of like a bigfoot.
Puya
Bigfoot. Yeah.
Taren Armstrong
What do they call this?
Puya
Sasquatch?
Taren Armstrong
Bigfoot.
Puya
One of them. Yeah. Not imposing at all. And honestly, maybe it's the camera angle. We got Taryn. He didn't seem like he was, like, symmetrical in the shots at all. It was just all over the place. It felt like he just.
Taren Armstrong
He just kind of walked out occasionally. I I will say, the first time he came out terrifying, it. It took me aback. I was like, what the. Yeah, but, but, but after that, it was just like he just walked out. Yeah, walked away. Just mosaic rain him with goop. Spraying them with water as per usual. The wall comp goes on for a little while and I thought Taylor was actually looking pretty good for a while, but she starts to struggle and Taylor drops next. Oof. Taylor out.
Puya
Yeah,
Taren Armstrong
like, okay, Taylor out. And at this point, I am, you know, I'm streaming again. I'm doing predictions who's gonna drop next. At this point, all the predictions were on Chuck. Chuck not usually the kind of guy that's going to do very well. And wall comp, he's very large and it looks like he's kind of struggling. He's moving a lot. He's like grunting. Chuck not looking great, but time and time again he keeps readjusting, he keeps surviving. And in the meantime, there's a lot of chatter. Drew's very loud. Devins is chanting. Rob is a podcast. Rob is a podcast. Rob is a podcast.
Puya
Yeah. Kind of became the war cry of the night a little bit for like a good 10 minutes.
Taren Armstrong
You know, when I want to alleviate pain, I also chant that I don't know how we came in sync that Barrett, who is very tall and seems to be doing decently for a little while, is the next to fall. Barrett drops down and. And it's not. It's all of a sudden it's like boom, boom, boom. Angela, Taylor, Barrett all down. Of course, Haley's already not. Not there. And. And what that leaves us, of course with is
Puya
the. The.
Taren Armstrong
The. The main two people that. That we're kind of worried about. Kamu and Chuck still in the game. Yash bit of a wild card considering he was not in on the vote on the vote flip. And so what will Yash do? Who knows? He's like deep in with Chuck now. Like, there's all kinds of potential stuff that might happen if Yash wins. And Yash is looking very good. Kamu is looking very, very good. Melody's looking pretty good. Mallory's looking okay. These looking like she's struggling a little and oh, defaults. And now we've got another person down and the numbers are starting to even out. What was a very lopsided. It was an 8 to 3 vote. There were a bunch of people who were like, locked in against Kamu, Chuck, Haley, and potentially Yash. And now Chuck, Yash and Kamu are still in the. On the wall and in the meantime, we're down to five on the other side. It's like, geez, this is, this is really like. I mean, we still got plenty of people. We still have plenty of people. And. And Mallory is our. Is our ho. Mallory is the person who's supposed to win the wall comp. But this wall comp is not looking great for Mallory. Again, the upright position, smaller Mallory, it's not working as well for her as it is for a bigger guy. Like, common. Even Chuck keeps holding on and. Oh, we're now seeing Melody start to struggle. The main thing here as you're holding onto the bar is that your feet are going to slip, not that you're going to slip off the bar. The bar is great. You can grip onto it. You can have a bunch of different hand positions. Your hands are not going to slip. There's no grip going on here. You're pushing, you're pushing, pushing against the bar and. Oh, sorry, I think I did actually forget. Yeah, I, I slipped up. Devin's actually felt.
Puya
You let Devin stay in the comp way longer.
Taren Armstrong
Yeah, I forgot to. I forgot to knock out Devin's. But you're pushing against the bar to try to keep your feet on the platform below you. If you're not able to push enough and your body starts falling forward, then your feet slip out from under you and you go down. So. So now we're down. It's. It's now like 4v3 and it's like, okay, but we're still good. Except Melody is starting to struggle. Her legs are starting to shake. The muscle shakes of like, if you've, if you have to, like, have you ever had to, like, hold a really hard position? You know that at some point you, you just start shaking when you're about to lose control. And that's exactly what happens. Melody gives it her all, but she ends up falling. And now it's 3v3. It's Drew, Mallory and Lala versus Josh, Tomu and Chuck and. Hold on, Lala.
Puya
And mind you, so far, Lala has seemed pretty solid, like quietly doing her thing. While we're looking at everyone else who's been shaking and struggling, she seems to be. She was just quiet. Like, I kept forgetting she was there at points.
Taren Armstrong
Yes, Lala still somehow in this competition, at 58 years old, basically double the age of most people in this competition, especially those left. At this point, Mallory is starting to look a little shaky. Chuck still looks terrible and yet continues to hold on. Yash is looking good. Kamu's Looking unbeatable. And Drew looks like he's the only person that can stand a chance against Kamu right now. So the competition continues on, and we see it. Mallory is starting to struggle. We're seeing her start to shake a little bit, and that's not good. We were really hoping Mallory could stick in on this one, but unfortunately she can't. And Mallory drops, and now it's Drew and Lala, and none of Chuck, Yash, or Kamu have fallen. And it's like, oh, man, this is looking bad. This is. This is really giving me some Jared vibes. Like, this is. It's like Jared, it's. It's like, like when talk. Like, Tucker winning was. Was okay. But. But, like, it's. Oh, boy. However, Chuck still looks like he's struggling. I mean, he's been looking like he's been struggling. Yeah, forever. But he has just been able to, like, and. And massive kudos to Chuck because he is. He is a large guy and he's like, basically he's holding on. He's, like, holding the side and holding one arm, and then he's, like moving his hips and kind of like switching, like. Like throwing his whole body every time he switches because he's. He's barely got anything left. But every time they pull the wall up, he's got a little bit of room to recover, and. And so he recovers really well. The guy is, like, really fit. So we continue going. We continue going. And then finally, finally, Chuck is not able to hold on anymore, and he falls out of the competition. And it's now Drew and Lala, Yash and Kamu, and it's the. We're going on. Yash is starting to look like he's struggling. Kamu still looks completely solid. Drew is looking okay, but a little shaky, and Lala is starting to move a lot. So it's looking like it'll probably be Lala's time soon. Drew against Yash and Kamu is probably what we're looking at. Except, whoa. Yash, out of nowhere, slips, and it is out, and we are down to the final three. Just like that. It's Drew, Kamu, and Lala. But Drew's really starting to struggle. Lala's moving a lot, and Kamu seems pretty locked in. It's. It's. It's really like, at this point I was streaming and I was saying, I think Kamu's gonna take this. I mean, he's looked the best, like, almost all the way through it. To me, he's really locked in. He's a really fit guy. He's just the right amount of, like, strong and, like, not as much weight, but. Oh, my God. Lala is right now in the top three. This is incredible. Listen, we were.
Puya
We had hope, but it wasn't a lot of hope. I was genuinely ready to dread the week it was getting there because even when it was a 3v2 and Chuck Falls, I didn't feel like we were even because I thought Chuck was falling at every turn for like 25 minutes. So he was a foregone. I knew he wasn't winning. It was always down. Going to come down to Kamu for me.
Taren Armstrong
Yes. And really, I think in many, many people's eyes, it was gonna be Kamu and Drew. But the problem is that Drew is really struggling now. It's. It's starting to look like Drew is the next one to fall. He's starting to shake. He's. He's getting quieter. And when he does talk, he's got a bit of a strain in his voice. And the wall is holding. The wall is holding. And his feet slip out from under him, and he holds on to the bar and he's swinging. And I was like, I thought. I thought everyone would do this, but nobody had done it to this point. I thought it was maybe against the rules. He's swinging. He's trying to get his feet back up. They can't. His feet are too slippery. He's swinging. They're like, just hang until the wall comes back up. And I'm like, they're not putting the wall back up. No, they're not putting the wall back.
Puya
Not until you drop.
Taren Armstrong
And so he keeps hanging and he slips off. And now it's Lala versus Kamu. Final two of this competition.
Puya
All our eggs in the basket. A bit of a David versus Goliath situation. And mind you, I do want to call out that we talked about this preseason, how every person on this season was athletic. Every person? Yes. Lala's 58. Lala does not look 58. Lala. It moves like she's not 58. So despite that, knowing that also, I was still perplexed at how Lala had made it this far and was our last beacon of hope, Taren. The last line of defense against a foregone. What felt like a foregone Kamu. Hoh.
Taren Armstrong
Yeah. And you know what? Kamu doesn't look quite as solid as he has been all competition anymore. Kamu is starting to. In fact, there's a moment where he kind of. He jerks his arm because he's like, whoa. He almost slips, but then he locks back in and he's looking pretty decent again. Meanwhile, Lala is moving a lot still. And Lala's starting to make noises, like noises. And it's like, this is genuinely a bit of a showdown here. Like, this is a shot. Because a lot of people didn't completely just tap out. They slipped. Because if you lack. If you lose concentration for a moment and you're not holding the tension in your feet, your feet could just slip out from under you and you're done. Or if you're not paying attention to your hands and the wall jerks down and your hands aren't ready, your hands could slip and you could fall down. And so. And that. That has happened to a couple of people. So this competition is very much live. And Lala, who you can tell is struggling at this point, she's kind of like, how's it going, Kamu? And he says, I could be here all night. And then the feeds cut and they stay cut. And we don't see the end of this competition.
Puya
We do not. I was fuming, Honestly, I was fuming. We had such a good time this far. And by that I mean also I'm like, nervously watching, you know, thinking, comma, could win this. The fact that you don't give us the final outcome is ridiculous. You know, we also, mind you, the. The starting of this was delayed. So, like, it was all a little bit like, hey, we're here. It's 2am in the east coast. We are still here. How are we not getting the conclusion to this? I did choose. I was also live. I did end my stream after waiting 10 minutes because I was like, it's so done at this point. They were looking like it was not going to make it that long. Taryn. About 90 seconds after I ended, stream feeds came back on. So, oof,
Taren Armstrong
feeds come back on. And I'm looking around, I'm looking around and I'm seeing. I'm hearing people say they're really impressed with Lala, but they'd be saying that anyway. And I'm looking at Kamu and I see something around his neck. Is it a mic? Is it a key? I can't tell. We move over to another shot. I see Lala with a key around her neck because Lala, at 58 years old, playing in one of the more athletically focused wall competitions they've ever done against one of the most athletic casts they've ever had, has won the wall comp, has defeated Camus he was in fact not up there all night because Lala is our HOH winner.
Puya
Phenomenal. Just the cherry on top of the night we had. I was so happy with this. Historically great. Also, I will say my worry, Taran, was that once it came down to Lala and Camuf, Kamu's ego would be not gonna beat me. This is an older, late, like, woman. Like, that's not gonna happen. And I thought that ego would drive him to the win. I think it made him complacent. Now we didn't get to see what happened. Allegedly he slipped. He couldn't do it. You know, haters will say Kama was pushed. I would say, who. So, yeah, we're fine.
Taren Armstrong
Yeah, there was some, there was some talk that there were questions asked. Did he make a deal? Did he drop down? According to one was saying, no, no deal was made. And, and he did not intentionally drop. He slipped. He went down of his own volition. And Lala won this on her own. And it's impressive stuff. She is the oldest person on a regular season to win a wall comp. Kato Kalin actually was older than her when he won in Celebrity Season 2, but she also lasted longer than everyone in the last, like, since what? Like, I don't remember now, but like, she's lasted longer than like, since at least BB24. Like longer than Tucker, longer than Taylor, longer than Jared. And the wall comps are all different. So it's. That's hard to compare to. But she did beat out a cast of people who were half her age. Now, none of this is to discount the fact, let's be clear that Lala herself is and was an athlete and she is in phenomenal shape and fully has, like earned this win in many ways. It's not meant to diminish her in any way to talk about the fact that she's twice these people's age. It's really to. To hype her up even more to, to truly accentuate just how fit and strong she is to have outlasted all of these people. And so it's just, it's just really, it's really impressive. And on top of this entire day of the vote, flipping the blockbuster the blind side, to have this come down to Kamu and Lala is truly storybook in so many ways, especially because Lala is, is kind of a wild card as an hoh. Like, there's a whole bunch of things that she could do here. So there's, there's all like the week the night couldn't have ended on a more compelling note. As far as I'm concerned. It was, it was just such a cool win here and, and, and it's such a cool day and it's not even over yet.
Puya
No, no, we're not even close to it. And I, that's the thing I said at the top where we, the way the season's culture has been built so far, we genuinely could have been in a position where it. The vote flips but it's a unanimous vote to get rid of Lyric and then Comma wins this HOH and the status quo continues. So the fact that that broke and Now Lala's the HOH within again. What 1pm Big Brother time yesterday. That's amazing. That's the type of Big Brother I want to see. Unpredictable, truly unexpected.
Taren Armstrong
And this is what I was saying last night on stream was just like, I mean I talk about it all the time, but this is why we love this show. Like there's nothing else like it. Even when things are down and we complain because we like to complain, the down is part of it. You can't have this kind of elation without the feeling of down before. And the fact that it's not just watching a 60 minute episode, a 90 minute episode, a two hour special where something exciting happens. It's an entire day's worth of roller coaster after a week of feeling like hope was lost. And then things just out of nowhere start to, to, to coalesce and, and crescendo into this moment, to then be topped by another moment. It's a whole day of experience and it was a, it was a wild day of live feeds. I hope I'm able to convey even just a, a small fraction of it here in the update. Although of course you can. Still, as I said, I've posted the vods on my Patreon. If you want to go back and experience some of what it was like at the time, you still can do that. But Lala is our new hoh and there's talk the power has shifted. Finally something new is afoot and new nominations, new nominees will be named, new targets, new power structure. Mallory's feeling like she's safe for the first time since she's been on the show. Melody is feeling great. Drew is feeling a little nervous. But the red corner is for the first time not in power and they are certainly feeling nervous. Haley's running around to all of her besties. It's going to Angela. Like, shouldn't be me, right? I didn't nominate her. I didn't nominate her. I didn't even, I didn't renom. Like I, it's, I was nice, I was nice to her, right? Like she's not gonna, you, she's not gonna put me up, right mom, it's not going to be an angel's like no, no, don't worry, don't worry Haley, she's not going to nominate you. That's not going to happen. It's not going to happen. I don't want to be a Renam though either. No, she's not going to rename you. Okay. And she goes to Chuck and she does this. She's not going to nominate me. Like I didn't put her up and it's like who are you talking to, Haley? Like what? Talk to Lala?
Puya
Yeah, what this whinging to other people is going to do for you? Nothing. And yeah, it was very funny that the, the begging to them of like not the Renam though, right? Also not the Renam. Like how are they going to give you any assurances they're not the ones with the key around their necks?
Taren Armstrong
Yeah, maybe she sees keys in places that there aren't any keys. There's another person who's a bit nervous, Evans, who has not had the best relationship with Lala of course and, and he recognizes that he could be in some trouble here. Of course he, as you see he has that diamond power of veto in his back pocket so he's not in any real danger. But he does have a relationship with Taylor and everybody recognizes. Everybody's talking about how Taylor is going to run this, have a lot of influence on this HOA train. And so Devin's talks to Taylor. She gives him a heads up that like, just so you know, like there might not be a lot of options to choose from this week which of course is code for you might, you might touch the block here, Devins. So Devin's tries to make a pitch of course to Taylor. He says, listen, you know, I've got your back. Devins is in an alliance with Taylor. Technically. He approached her this morning about this vote flip. They have a decent relationship. He says, you know, I've got your back. I hope that you can kind of like put in a good word for me with Lala. And she says she will. So he talks to D afterwards and Dee's like, yeah, I think I'm good but I don't know about you Devins. And he's like, I talked to Taylor and she's hopefully going to put in a good word. And so that that's what Devins is kind of resting his hope on really to, to hopefully prevent himself from having to use the diamond power of veto. But the real conversation of course is going to hold off until later in the night. Now Lala, don't worry. We are the end of this update. Lala is not going to have her one on ones tonight. Lala is an early, early to bed kind of person and, and she's not really interested in doing a bunch of talks. She'll have them in the morning. Which, you know, quite frankly it's, it's kind of wild that like this is the cast that's been doing their one on ones like deep into the wee hours of the morning considering that they have like the latest nomination ceremony ever because of the power stuff. Like normally they wait until the morning to do their one on ones and then nominations are at like noon and they're like rushing through the one on ones this, this season. They're like let's do all our one on ones night. And then they have nothing to do all day because you're not complaining, Puya. But, but Lala is the first to be like, you know what? No one on ones tonight. I'm just gonna talk to Taylor. And so yeah, it would be greedy,
Puya
Taryn, if I could ask for more after the, the day we've had to also need more one on one. Honestly, we're about to get the one one on one that probably matters the most anyway. So life's fine.
Taren Armstrong
Yes. So finally Taylor and Lala get into get. Have the room to themselves. What? What, what, what, what? Taylor says, all right, so who's on your mind? And Lala says, I want Devin's out. I want Devin's out. Many reasons. He's too likable. He's too much of a fan favorite. He'll end up winning. He's good at puzzles. He's good at everything. This guy's the biggest threat in the house and Lala is the only one who's really even talking about it. And Taylor says he did just come to me and ask for me to put in a good word for him. And she says, well, you know what another thing is, I do not like what he did to Rome. She still holds that grudge. And so she was thinking Haley, Camus and Barrett on the block as pawns to backdoor Devins. Haley and Kamu, fairly obvious. Barrett as a pawn. She says she doesn't want to put Barrett up, but he's a good pawn. Nobody will send him home. He's not like, he's not doing a whole lot right. Easy person to put up on the block as a pawn. So Haley, Kamu, Barrett, with Devins as the back door. Taylor says, there is one thing I will say in Devin's defense, kind of defense, which is that Jason was always saying, you can't get out Devin's until after the blockbuster ends because he'll win that blockbuster. And he's. He's too good at things. And on top of that, he's got to have a power. And so we might want to wait until that power expires or something along this line. We might not want to take that shot right now. It might be too hard to get him out. And Lala is very receptive to this. She says, you know what, you make a really good point about Devens. It might not be worth it to go after him. And you know what? I also really want Haley out. I really, really, really want Haley out. So with that in mind, she says, I'm not putting up Angela not putting up D, not putting up Chuck. Those are the three people she's not putting up. And Taylor says, yeah, I get it with Chuck. I mean, you know, don't like him all that much in the game. Could certainly be a nomination, but we're going to let a brother slide. Even though I side eye him, like, if you wasn't us, like if it, if it wasn't for the culture. And Lala's like, yeah, yeah, yeah. So. So Chuck off the block, D off the block. Angela off the block. Haley the target. With that in mind, we need some other nominees. And Lala starts talking about Drew. I was like, drew's coming up to me, like, oh, we're in power finally. I'm like, we was this we, man, what are you talking about? And Taylor says that she did have a good conversation with Drew, but. But she sees, she sees what, what Lala is saying here. And the main thing that Taylor wants Lala to do is to use this information, to act or, sorry, use this position, the hoh, to gather information, to get information from people and to build alliances. And I was like, Taylor speaking directly to my soul right now. And. And literally one of the first things I said was like, with Lala as hoh, I was like, how many alliances we think Taylor's gonna build? Because. Because Taylor's building alliances when she's on the bottom, right? Taylor finally in charge, it's like, all right, open up the tethers door. We got tethers over here. We got Tethers over there. Come to me for the tethers. Tethers on sale, half off. We got tethers all day. And. And so Taylor is like, let's gather some information, let's make some alliances, let's do this. But of course we still have some nominations to figure out. Taylor says if Haley is the target, she should probably be the back door. As we've seen, as you can see on this board, all of these people who are evicted. Ashley, replacement nominee Rome, replacement nominee Jason, replacement nominee Lyric, replacement nominee Rachel, eaten by a dinosaur. So all of them have been replacement nominees, including the dinosaur. And if they want Haley gone, it makes sense to try to probably try to backdoor her. And that means they need three nominees, none of which are Haley, none of which are Angela, D or Chuck. So Kamu still easy nomination. Barrett still easy pawn. They gotta get somebody else who they don't have a great relationship with, who's an easy pawn, who can hopefully beat Haley in a block but who just won a blockbuster, who's acting like they're on Drew, Kamu, Drew and Barrett nominations Haley, the replacement nominee and target. So that is what the plan lands on at the end of the night. But she has not done her one on ones yet. There's a whole day for a power to be distributed, for a punishment perhaps to be redistributed or to be distributed and the nominations to take place later tonight. So plenty of time for this to change. But that is about where we finally wrap up day 31 on the Big Brother 28 feeds.
Puya
What a day. What a good day. Can I, can I quickly ask you a quick fire scenario question? We don't get it. Okay. Haley gets picked to be veto discipline. Veto wins the veto takes comma off the block. Who goes up?
Taren Armstrong
It's a very good question. It is certainly, yes, the worst case scenario here. Listen, I don't know how far the the if it wasn't for the culture goes with Taylor and Lala. They certainly recognize that like they can't trust Chuck necessarily in the game a ton. So I would have to assume that they revisit that at the very least if they have like no other good options. Because if you look at the board, there aren't that many great options. Yash I would assume is definitely in there. Maybe, maybe one of the more likely nominees. But. But with both Haley and Camus safe at that point, it could also be, you know what, screw it. Let's just go for the Devin's back door. So those would be my My top picks, I think Yash Devin's. Maybe they revisit the Chuck thing. Of course we know if it was Devin's he would just do the diamond power of veto, which would be quite interesting actually because then who would he renom after that? And it would probably just be Yash at that point.
Puya
Yash. Okay.
Taren Armstrong
No, no, maybe he'd put up Chuck actually. Maybe he would just.
Puya
Yeah, that could be possible. Yeah, there's some outcomes to go. But yeah, like you said, there's still everyone else's one on ones we still don't know. I think there's also because Chuck very much glued himself to Lala for majority of the night and did a good job of like you know, cozying up. But if Chuck starts to try and like advocate for Haley who unbeknownst to him potentially is the bat, is the non backdoor nominee, then maybe that could switch some stuff up. We still don't know. It's still very early.
Taren Armstrong
Oh yeah. I mean listen, this is a point, a good point. Somebody, I mean well point a point well made which is somebody just saying Taylor in all caps in the chat, which is making me realize, right, if Lala tries to backdoor Devin's he's probably not going to be too pleased. He might just renom Taylor.
Puya
He.
Taren Armstrong
Because here's the thing, he'd probably, before he gets renamed, he'd probably threaten to put up Taylor if they went through with it. He might actually then just go through with it. Put Taylor on the block maybe, but it still leaves the red corner open. So you know, there's who, who really this. It's a pretty niche scenario here that we're talking about at this point. But you know, we'll see.
Puya
They were for the round people.
Taren Armstrong
We got.
Puya
We have enough here. We can wrap it up.
Taren Armstrong
Yeah. So that is it. That is day 31. It feels like forever ago that I did yesterday's update, but we've been through forever and we are out on the other side. So there's plenty more to get through today. As I said, we've got one on ones. We've got all kinds of stuff. I'll say again, I had a great time on Patreon yesterday with a few different streams. You can watch those back if you want to sort of relive some of the day. I will also be live tonight, Patreon, YouTube and Twitch watching tonight's Unlocked, which I assume will also have a lot of good, good content because there's a lot of stuff that wasn't in the episode at this point and I will be back tomorrow morning, of course, 11am Eastern to update you when everything that happens today on the big brother 28 live feeds. I also announced I'm gonna be doing some some like old school Big Brother re watches starting With Big Brother 2 on my Patreon the off season. If anyone is interested in that, you can check out some details for some cool stuff I've got planned there which was I didn't plan on talking about it yet but we were having fun last night so I sort of launched that project as well. But, but that is it for me. Puya, what do you got going on?
Puya
Well, I'll be live tonight on Twitch TV puya at the regular time of 10pm Eastern so pull up if I watch feeds, talk about a bunch of stuff. We have a good time there. Leon and I did finally put out our where have we been pal episode audio only because we did not have air conditioning until yesterday. So we finally have air conditioning now. It took two weeks out of my life. So yeah. So we're back now. We'll have the regularly set up with the video and everything this weekend to record to check that out. Liana did join me and caught everything up with 90 Day Fiance. That should be dropping this weekend as well. And myself and Annabelle are having a good time. Karen, I don't know if you've like had time to check it out yet, but the Traders Australia season three has dropped, has premiered. We are two episodes deep. There's lots to talk about and it's so far very exciting. I'm very excited to see where we go from here.
Taren Armstrong
You go. All right, well thank you all so much for joining us here today and all season long it's been, it's been a wild ride here and it's not over yet. See you next time.
