the drama, all the strategy and silliness from FETO to HOH every single season, you know, he is the reason, you know what's happening, happening. Rob said that he could do it tomorrow. He will do it again. Hello, everyone and good morning. Welcome to our live feed update for July 27th. I'm your host Darren Armstrong and I'm here to update you on everything that happened yesterday on the big brother 28 live feeds. It was day 20 in the house and we had a nice little tea party, some little snacks, some balloons, a good old time that, you know, was interrupted. Mother's things. Big drama. We have big drama to talk about today and with me to talk about the big drama. How you doing, Scally?
A
I'm good, Taryn. You know, for a minute you think, okay, I'm just gonna come in here, I'm gonna talk about them drinking tea. I'm gonna talk about them eating sandwiches. Not so much. We are going through it today. Not, not as much as some people are going through it in the house, but lots of things to go through.
B
Yes, yes, yes, yes. If you haven't heard, there was quite the confrontation, some fallout and some more intrigue when it comes to a potential vote as well. There is truly a lot to talk about here. So we're going to get straight into it. As you know, Kamu is the hoh. He nominated Lala Lyric and Mallory. Lyric won the veto. She will be taking herself off the block. Jason plans. Sorry Kamu plans to replace her with Jason. That has for the record, always been the plan. However, Camus is somebody that doesn't like people knowing his plans. I guess an important piece to set up here last week when Devins was the HOH and he was going to not he was going to re nominate Rome for after the after the veto ceremony, Kamu came up to Devens and pitched him on the idea of of hey, how about you pretend like the read. The only reason you're doing this to Rome is because of what he said after, you know the nomination ceremony that, like, remember, Devin's did this whole big spiel at the nomination ceremony and all this crying and what Rome was doing. And then, hey, I wasn't planning to. I was planning to stick to the deal until Rome. You got all mad that I called you out of the. At the nomination, sir. And now I have no choice because you made me do this to you. And. And Devin's essentially was like, nah, that's fine. That's. It's pretty straightforward what I'm gonna do. And, you know, I don't need to make an excuse. I mean, what he told Common was, oh, that's a great idea. He just didn't. He didn't use the idea. So this, like, this is, I think, something that is very relevant to what is going to happen here today because it is something that Camus has already, like, processed. It's something that he clearly is inclined to do, which is something that is pretty common in the Big Brother house, unfortunately. And. And. And common in real life as well, that, you know, if you do something to someone is. Is you don't have to feel bad about it. You just make it their fault.
A
And that is the thing, especially on these shows. People love feeling like things are their fault. They love hearing about how much they cause their own demise. So, you know, be damned if there's a blockbuster or if, God forbid, you know, the votes flip or whatever else is the case. Yeah, definitely. Just make them feel even worse about it. It's going to go swimming.
B
Yeah, it's really, you know, it's. It's really like an unfortunate. And. And I genuinely think, like, not great inclination for players in general. I think that, like, there's there's basically been one, like, standout example of somebody doing this strategically in a way that made sense for them. Of course, very famously, Vanessa in season 17 loved her reasons. And. And by reasons, we mean excuses to nominate people. Again, the biggest example being Jeff. When she was hoh. Early on in the season, she wanted to target big Jeff from the Amazing Race and not the other one. Not the other big Jeff. But. But she was like, I need reasons. I need a reason. And. And Austin was like, why do you mean? Why do you need reasons? Chill. But. But Vanessa did so in such a strategic way in the sense that she was very actively trying to avoid the other side of the house, recognizing that she was such a strategic player. She was seen as a bit of an emotional wreck at the time, and she didn't want the other side of the house to recognize that she was taking a shot that she was going to war and that she was strategic. So she came up with an emotional reason that everyone bought into. Crazy Vanessa makes this move, and the other side was tricked into believing that that was basically the case. So. So there are some ways to kind of go about this. Not to say that it's like a perfect way that Vanessa did or that that, like, there aren't any problems with it. But. But for the most part, this idea of like reasons is very separate from the idea that is much more common, which is everyone knows what's happening. You're just trying to make it the fault of the person that you're targeting. Like, we were already planning to do this and everyone knows it, but we're all still going to collectively make the person you're doing it to feel like it was their fault. And this is what Kamu wants to. And I'm talking about all of this right away because this is basically the start of the day. Camus is talking to Dee about wanting to find this excuse to put Jason on the block. He's been talking about this for the last couple of days, but now he's really honing it and putting it into focus and workshopping exactly how he wants to do it. And it turns out there's a tea party that's being planned for tonight. Mallory, she. She wants to put together a tea party. And. And so they're all going to get together and. And Kamu wants to take the opportunity of the tea party to give a. A big, grand speech about Jason, and he just needs to figure out exactly what that speech is going to be, what he's going to call out with Jason, how he's going to make it Jason's fault that Jason is going on the block. And so this is how we start the day.
A
Yeah. Why call a house meeting when there's already a house party planned? I mean, you know, the most popular person at any party, the one that just kills the vibe, completely starts arguments. It's definitely completely a flawless yes.
B
Now, you might already know because we have already talked about it. The primary piece of evidence that Kamu wants to use is this idea that when he talked to Jason about Jason not going on the block, and I'm just gonna. I'm gonna again restate the facts of what happened. Camus, who from the start intended to nominate Jason right away, then changed his plan to backdooring Jason, approached Jason and said, I do not. I'm not going to be nominating you today. And Jason said, oh, my God, thank you so much. I really thought I was going to be nominated and targeted. And Kamu said, work on your relationships. And Jason said, now that I'm not being targeted this week and nominated, this is going to be. That's. I can actually have the space to do that. Thank you so much. I'm so grateful. And then Kamu is like, oh, he's so grateful. Let me take the opportunity. Well, if you win the veto, like, you're gonna. Hell, you're gonna do what I want with it, right? Like. Like that's how you can thank me for not nominating you. Now, of course there's nothing wrong with this. Kamu knows that he's lying. He knows that he's taking advantage of somebody who's grateful for something that he shouldn't be grateful for, considering that it's worse to be backdoor than to be put on the block straight up. Which is why Kamu's doing it in the first place. And Jason says, of course I'm willing to work with you on whatever happens with the veto. We know from the episode last night that Jason pretty quickly realized, oh, this was fake, this was a ploy. He's not nominating me, not because he wants to give me space to work on my relationships and he doesn't want to target me, but in fact, because he does want to target me and he doesn't want me having a chance to play in the veto. So in Jason's mind, that deal is null and void and he can do whatever he wants with the veto, and he probably could have done whatever he wants with the veto in the first place. From Kamu's perspective, he's confused. Why did Lala choose Jason to play in the veto? Well, according to when he talked to Taylor, Taylor was like, well, he must have promised Lala he was going to use a veto on her. Why else would Lala pick him for the veto? It's like, but he told me that he wouldn't use the veto, so what's up with that? And so now Kham was like, ha, I caught him. I caught him in a lie. I caught him in a broken deal. Jason promised me he wouldn't use the veto, but now he's going around promising the nominees that he's going to use the veto on them. So he's going to spend the day talking to a few more of the nominees. He talks to Mallory, and I'm skipping ahead a little bit, but he talks to Mallory and he asks her, did Jason promise to use the veto on you? She says yes because Jason was planning to use the veto on Mallory. Boom, caught him. Here we go. This is the perfect thing to call Jason out on in front of everyone. It's. It's clear as day. He broke his word. He gave me his word. Now, were the circumstances in which he gave me his word unfavorable to him? Sure, but we don't need to. We don't need to focus on that. He gave me his word. He broke his word. That's why he's going on the block. That's why nobody should associate with him. That's why even if he wins the blockbuster, nobody should be aligned with him. Nobody should talk to him. And. And this is Ka Mu's plan. Yeah.
A
I found a reason to nominate someone. I want to tell them I'm going to nominate them. If only there was a meeting during the week in which I could tell someone I'm going to nominate them, give them all the reasoning as to why I'm going to do so, and make it clear that they're my target. Yeah, you. I mean, I think that the. Go and build relationships. Less a gift, more of an ominous not threat, but, like, you're going to need those relationships a little bit later this week when the votes start coming in.
B
Jason, I will say, to be fair to that point, this is the show's. The show does not allow you to create good moments in the ceremonies. It's so script. Like, all the best moments come outside of the ceremonies, except for when they brute force them in, like last week in the nomination. But. So he's workshopping this idea with D. Dee's primary concern here, of course, is don't get me involved.
A
Yeah. D immediately is like, I don't think this is a good idea. You know what? Actually, you don't involve me. Great idea. Perfect, actually. Yeah. That's the only caveat.
B
So in this conversation, though, she's gonna drop more seeds about Drew, that Drew is working with everyone, of course. And Kamu tells her that he feels closest with her and Devin's. Over anyone. Over. Certainly over Drew. Uh, but even over Haley and Chuck. And, uh. Oh, wow. Thank you so much. Um, of course, after. After this conversation, she talks to the cameras and she says, Kamu thinks I'm stupid. He thinks I believe he's closer to me and Devin's than Haley and Chuck. Come on, Kamu. But she does still like him as an ally and wants to bring him far.
A
Yeah, that's the thing. Okay, maybe I'm not going to buy into every single Thing, but like I can trust that he is 75% of the way, straight up versus everyone else. I have no idea of what percentage
B
Kamu is. He was advised not to go to Drew with the plan, but he does go to Devin's with the tea party plan. Devin's is like, I love it. Let's. Let's go. Go ahead. Please do whatever you want to damage your game essentially and, and make good TV and chaos and all of it. Devin's a hundred percent on board.
A
Yeah, he's good with it. And Common doesn't want to tell too many people because he wants genuine reactions at this tea party. I'm not telling Chuck, I'm not telling Haley. I'm not telling the house because I want people. Oh my God. Thank you, Kamu, because that's going to happen.
B
I think. I genuinely. I. It's. I'm pretty sure I remember Kamu saying he was a Dan Geesling fan. And I'm. I definitely saw some like wanna be Dan kind of DNA in this between the. I want genuine reactions, of course, famously Dan to Danielle. I couldn't tell you because I needed you to react correctly. And, and even like the way he starts off his speech once we get there. Very like. Like want to be Dan coded. In the meantime, Taylor is going to talk more with KA Mu proposed alliance, the Tethers alliance. Not really strictly named that, but that's kind of, I think, what we're calling it moment. We talked plenty about this yesterday. She. She's like, really? She, like. She came with like a binder and a business plan and a present, like a PowerPoint presentation. She's. And we knew that like this was her in the preseason, right? Like her whole like whatever it was called. And so now she. She's like, all right, we're gonna make this happen, Kamu. We just need to make sure we got our pillars of priority in place. We gotta have faith in each other. We gotta. Discretion is important. And. And number three, be mindful of your mouth, your mind and your mess. And Kamu was like, bet, just give me one tea party first.
A
Yeah. Here's the thing. The rules are don't tell anyone about the alliance. Be a good roommate and be smart. Okay, so meeting adjourned. I like the effort, entertainment wise. I'm behind it strategically. I have questions, I think at best, but you know.
B
So Kamu continues through his day. He talks to Mallory, as I said, D talks to Angela. And remember from the night before, D, Angela and Devin talked at the pool table where Angela pitched to Devin and D that she revealed the crossovers to Haley, Chuck, and Kamu. And Devin was like, no, no, no, no, no, we don't. We don't want to do that. And then she was like, but what happens when we go after Drew soon and it's all exposed anyway? And he goes, oh, soon? I don't know about that either. I mean, we can't afford to lose them quite yet, obviously, eventually. And Dee backed him up all throughout that conversation. We were. I was a little bit curious as to where Angela would fall on that, especially considering, in addition to that, Angela seemed inclined to want to keep Mallory over Lala in the event that Jason wins the blockbuster. And of course, Devin's and D were on the opposite side of that page as well. So basically, all of that gets cleared up immediately in this conversation. Angela is. She's like, I was thinking about it. I'm willing to back down on the Drew stuff for now. I think that. I think that what you guys said makes sense. And when they talked about the vote, Angela says that she's willing to vote out Mallory over Lala as well. So no friction amongst the vets, and. And a bad, bad start for Mallory in the day with Angela backing down. Because Angela was probably her biggest advocate, or at least the advocate that had the most sway to potentially keep her over Lala. And all of a sudden, all those votes I had stacked yesterday could very easily crumble.
A
Yeah, it was really interesting, the Angela and D conversation, because I do think you see some of these magic here, even where Angela starts. But I don't want to get rid of Mallory. And, like, D, trust me, like, she would never say things like, she's targeting you. Like, that's just not how she talks to D. Being like, yeah, but, like, you would never get rid of your best friend Lala. You're going to be friends for life out of here. And Angela's like, yeah, of course I would never get rid of Lala. Never get rid of Lala. Of course I will get rid of Mallory over Lala. So, you know, it shifted within one conversation pretty quickly.
B
I love your Angela. I think it's perfect. The.
A
The inflection is very much important in the. Angela.
B
Yes. Yes. So, yeah. And interestingly enough, also in this conversation, when I say Angela is, like, willing to cool off on Drew a little bit, only in the. I'm going after him immediately, since she's perfectly happy to later in the night tell Chuck to go after Drew, who's very willing to do it, which actually makes way More sense, by the way. And she's also still like, I'm starting to want. Wonder if that information Drew brought us about Jason. Is that really true anymore?
A
Even?
B
I don't even know. Another interesting note. D mentions it in this conversation that she's actually warming back up to Barrett. And this is something that is, I would say, been very like. Like there were little hints of it the day before and then throughout the day today that we're. The day we're talking about kind of like quickly reheats. They're like bantering again. They're hanging out again. I'm not exactly sure what sparked this, but. But. But B is back on the menu a little bit here. Maybe not quite as. As like promising as it was before, but. But the. The relationship is like, uh, back. Back on for now.
A
Yeah. I do love that Jason literally admitted to everything that Drew said, but Angela's hat her so much that that actually never happened anymore for D and Barrett. I do think it helps that D can tell when Barrett is looking at Kamu. He just hates him. And so I think that even if they have to eventually get rid of Drew, sooner or later, maybe, who knows, then, okay, Barrett would still side with us over the other side of this big pool shed alliance. So that is helpful.
B
Yeah. And honestly, if I my bit, my best guess as to what. As to how this started to happen is that Barrett has just been hanging out with Drew less. They. I mean, they made their final two when they were hanging out together a bunch, and now they're like, they've separated a little bit more. And so this is really the stink of Drew is not getting on Barrett as much anymore. And it's so funny because early in the game I was like, this Barrett D thing is bad for both of them. But then after it stopped, Barrett didn't go anywhere else but Mallory and I'm. And. And it got to the point where I was like, okay, Barrett, I didn't realize that was everything you had. Go back to D. That's better for you than nothing. And so I do think it's good for Barrett to go back to D if he can at this point. So we'll see where all that goes. Speaking of the Mallory vote, though, as I said, a lot of potential votes for people who might want Mallory to stay Drew amongst them. And Drew, being one of the more active players in the house right now, is going to start making a bit of a push to keep Mallory, unfortunately doesn't really go anywhere. He talks to Ka Mun and Kamu's like, no, like, Kamu's one of the more steadfast people in taking Mallory out. And of course, again, just to remind you, when we're talking about Mallory staying or going, we're talking about only the situation where Jason wins the blockbuster. Jason is still everyone's main target. There's not much. There's like a tiny bit of like, should we keep Jason? No. No, we shouldn't. So Jason winning the blockbuster is a requirement for all of this vote intrigue. Mallory versus Lala is what they're talking about. And. And Kamu is very, like, puts his foot down. No, Mallory needs to go over Lala. He is right now Devin's and Angela, Devin, Devin's and these sort of biggest advocate for what they want here, because Mallory leaving is very good for them. Once Kamu basically puts his foot down. Drew and Yash Yashu had been on board to keep Mallory as well, because Drew, I guess it's worth pointing this out. Drew and Yash are becoming their own little mini duo right now. Enough so that Taylor was like, you know, Yash's, Drew's tether. Drew has really pulled Yash in with this idea of the Dapper Danz and that they are chaos agents and they're. They're people who are free agents floating in the middle, playing to each side, keeping both sides strong so that they go at each other. And. And it really plays very well into Yash's idea of what it means to be a good player. And so Drew is. Is basically just like, dragging Yash along with him at every whim. Like, hey, Yash, we should totally do this because it makes sense, because then it will keep the sides like this, and then we'll be able to play the middle. And Josh is like, yeah. And then he's like, actually, we're going to have to go over here. And Yash is like, yeah. And so that's basically where they're at. And so they talk afterward about this commus situation. They would love to keep Mallory. That's better for their games, but it's not worth burning Kamu. And that's where they kind of stand at this point.
A
Yeah, Yasha's wants to be a bro. And Drew as a chameleon, according to Dee and Angela, can be. Be a bro. He can get that going. And so that all works well and good. I mean, when Drew is having conversations, not like, super openly, but has talked about, like, it would be kind of cool if Mallory won hoh and, like, took a shot at some of Those people that we can't take a shot at, that wouldn't be absolutely horrible. I mean, I guess, you know, Kamu actually recognizing that that actually would not be good for him as one of the people that she might take a shot at.
B
Yes. So the melody, or, sorry, the Mallory vote is. Is very quickly starting to. To shrivel up here. And again, I'm not gonna try to move all the faces right now, but like, most people kind of want to keep Mallory, but it's just kind of dying on a vine because a couple of key powerful people don't, which is interesting. It's how. It's how the game tends to go.
A
I loved in the common Mallory conversations, when Mallory is concerned over whether or not she's going to stay this week and commit is very clearly, like, over. Lala, I don't have a vote. I couldn't possibly say how this would go over. Jason, you're safe. Absolutely 100% safe. There's no problem at all. But Lala, I am out of this. Good luck. So.
B
Yes. So there was a lot of talk yesterday about Devin's and the Taylor pitch for the Tethers, how Devins did not tell D about it. Is this an indication that he might actually be considering it? I said on the update yesterday that in my opinion, it was just because they had more pressing things to talk about that night. And it seems as though that is, in fact the case. When he does get a chance to talk to Dee on the feeds and they were talking about yesterday, he tells her, oh, yeah. And there was this whole thing with Taylor. She pitched this Tethers alliance. She said, you and Angela are running the house and. And so on and so forth. So this has, in fact been told.
A
Yeah. God forbid, Drew brought it up a day late. Like, Taylor's planning this thing where there's sides of the house and one person, like, I can't even believe he would try to make this up.
B
So this doesn't even sound like something Taylor would do.
A
Exactly. So why is he in the room
B
with me right now?
A
Social capital could go a long way.
B
All right, so Kamu starts rehearsing. He's got a whole speech planned. He's. He's rehearsing it. And I mean, let me tell you, it's long. It's. It's long. It's very long.
A
Yep. It's gonna be talked about and talked about and talked about, and we're just gonna, you know, try to do a little bit of a setup, as you said. We'll see how well, that goes yes.
B
Drew talks to Dee and Devins and says, yeah, it's, it is looking like the vote is leaning against Mallory here. It seems like at point in the day Drew has, has pretty much backed down. Devin's and D obviously want this. Angela has backed down. With Drew came Yash. And just like that, the votes have just crumbled for Mallory to stay until. Hold on, we forgot there's one more person who's very, who feels very strongly about how this vote should go. But this person is not pro Mallory. They're just anti Lala. And that person is Haley. Haley really wants Lala to go. She really does not like Lala. And so she talks to Drew and to Yash and starts talking about how Lala should go. And Drew is like, hold on, there's hope. There is somebody I can use. There's somebody. There's a person actually pushing this. Hold on. We might actually make this happen. Let's do this.
A
Yeah, A ally in the least suspected of places right now, but you know what? Everyone else is saying no. So if I can push this person to even start nudging in that direction, then that would be great.
B
Yes. So, so Drew back on board to at least try. And of course we can't forget about Barrett himself. I kind of have because he doesn't really push much, but he starts to push all of a sudden. Barrett, who obviously should have no desire to lose Mallory should have been really involved in the first place. But he starts pitching to Devins as well. I don't want to get rid of Mallory. Are you kidding me? Mallory is like the only person I have outside of the tool shed and I'm at the bottom of the tool shed. Like what are we doing here? Devin's tries to redirect by saying, wow, we got the dapper dance. That's kind of like the thing and eventually might have to be the thing. And, and you know, they talk a little bit more about that. Barrett's talking about like how disconnected he feels Again. Barrett trusts Devin's far too much. He talks about like we can't let Angela run this game and, and stuff like that. Now Devin's does keep this mostly to himself again for now. I, I do think that Devins is not going to be like blurting out to Angela that, that Barrett's talking about her given her current situation. I think Devin's nose not to. To go too far there, but, but, but yeah, interesting conversation. And again, another sort of obstacle in the road for Devins to have a clean Mallory Eviction here.
A
Yeah, Tough argument when Barrett's saying, basically, if I don't have Mallory, I'll be completely reliant on you guys. Well, that sounds great to me personally, so. And it's basically talked about as much you can think of times in which I had heard D specific saying, like, okay, Barrett might not be happy, but, like, whoops, there goes Mallory. Not my problem. I. I don't think that that is going to be super motivating for anyone else that you get to keep your tether.
B
Unfortunately, yes. So we continue through the day. Haley lets Kamu know that Drew, despite her wanting Lala to go, the fact that Drew also wants that is sketchy. And so she warns comment like, hey, Drew's trying to get rid of Mallory, or, sorry, keep Mallory. And. And Kamu's like, he pushes back more on Haley than he usually does with D, probably because Haley is way more overt about it. But. But he's like, what do you even mean? Like, what is sketchy about Drew? Give me an example. She's like, well, you heard about the four seasons. He hadn't heard about the four seasons. And so she tells him about the four seasons. He's going to talk to Drew about it later. It's not a major thing, but, you know, it's just. It's. It's more. Again, trying to erode this relationship between Kamu and Drew is pretty important for the entire direction of where the vets want this game to go. And Haley is now also acting as an agent in that process.
A
Yeah, I do think it's going to be a little tough. I don't think the common like wants to feel like he's been directed in any sort of way, especially. So even as you're doing it, he's probably going to consciously or subconsciously push back on that, but. So I do suspect it might take evicting one of them to ultimately end this. But I think there is a world in which it becomes at least, like, I'm willing to let this person go without too much of a fight. Not that he will do it by any means himself.
B
So we start getting ready for the tea party. It's. It's been pushed back. It's been pushed back. It doesn't happen during. They originally planned it for, like, during the episode. It's pushed back further and further until it's. Until it finally starts during the podcast, by the way, which Jason is still not respecting our podcasting time because he is currently banging teapots, apparently, but they get ready for it. Drew and Barrett get all dolled up in dresses for the tea party. They get very pretty.
A
Yeah. All at the same time. I'm like, can we put on heels? Can we do a death drop? Like, please, anything. Come on, come on, step it up. We have a drag queen. Let us put you a drag.
B
That's true. I will say for. For having a drag queen in their midst. I guess this was pretty vanilla. But listen, they've got balloons. Sure, they're condoms, but they were also balloons.
A
And Jason's getting excited for the party. He's like, look, I brought balloons. If they're distasteful, I can move them. We can get rid of them. But they balloons,
B
they do a little Runway. Drew and Barrett in the dresses, they're having a great time. They're talking about soaking. It's a great. It's a grand old party.
A
Hey, everything is going swimmingly. Not a single person could ruin this. And it won't be awkward at all that Drew and Parrot are sitting in dresses that barely cover their crotch in three minutes. I'm sure.
B
So they're hanging around, hanging out. It's. The party's been going for, like, a good, you know, 30, 40 plus minutes. Everyone's enjoying it. They're sitting around, they're, like, sharing, you know, stories, and they're chatting, and they're talking about how fun it is, and. And, you know, we kind of get to a natural lull in the conversation and. And Kamu goes, all right. What? Oh, somebody else started talking. So. So. Oh, well, no, I. I got you. No, no, you. You. You can go. He's like, praying. Oh, did you want to. No, I was just gonna say something. Oh, no, that's. Oh, that's. I'm not. I'll get out of your way. You can go. No, no. Yes. It's fine. It's. Yeah. I mean. No. Yeah. No, I just, you know. So anyway, first of all, I wanted to say, like, this has been one of the coolest experiences of my life. And this is. This, like, he's trying to. He's trying to do, like, the funeral. You know what I mean? He's trying to be like, oh, man, I love you all, but. Oh, here we go. And there's nobody else I'd want to experience this with than you guys. So let's just cheers this. Cheers to that. Cheers. Cheers to the. Oh, and ever in Cheers. Also, I want to just publicly congratulate Lyric on winning the power of veto. Yeah. Everyone. Oh, Lyric, let's go. Oh, thank. She's Just such a great job. Oh, yeah. And Mallory, you know, Mallory came in second.
A
Yeah. The runner up.
B
Runner up.
A
It was painful and I think at the point where someone interrupts your start, just be like, oh, these are good sandwiches, and move on. Like, you got to plan a new party. It's not going to land. Give it up. I'm sorry, like, you. Your moment was stepped on. It is. It's never going to look iconic.
B
Well, obviously though, we. I have to address the elephant in the room. I have to put up a fourth nominee. So let's, let's address that a bit. You know, I in. I came here to this game. I came here to play honest and open and. And I want to play a game that my family and friends are proud of. You know, when I won hoh, I quickly realized it's a gift and it's a curse. And it's at this point that I'll spare you from the next 10 minutes
A
of
B
Kamu going on and on about the gift and the curse of HOH and the story of how we got here and how at one point in the game last week, the whole. The whole house blew up and there was all kinds of stuff that was going on and, and Devin's did a thing and then the whole thing blew up. And then at one point in time, Jason, my name got throw out. Thrown out. But you handled it like a man. So thank you, Jason, for turning that around. Thank you.
A
Meanwhile, my friends, my friends are actively hanging out asking where I am. I say, guys, hold on. I have to watch this really boring speech on the live feeds right now. This is. I gotta do it. It's. It's not entertaining.
B
This is like, we're on the. We're on the recap podcast, by the way, like, watching this go down and like, there's a world where that's kind of fun, right? We're on a recap podcast. Big blow up happens. We're like, whoa, what's happening? Like, when it was the update and Angela was doing Crazy Eyes, it was like, oh, boy, this is all over the place. And instead I'm just watching Kamu just like. And I'm like, what is that? Like, how am I supposed to. This is not good podcast.
A
I had to.
B
I had to change the topic. There was a call out happening in front of me, and I had to talk about something else because nothing was happening. It wasn't even fun to react to. Nope. So. So he continues on. He continues on. So thank you for being, for handling it like a man. But There is something I need to. To address. And then he spends the next, like, 10 minutes explaining that, you know, when I won HOH, back in my day, when I won HOH, I, I, I took myself all the way up into the HOH room, and I, I, I talked to every single nominee, and I told them exactly what was happening, and I told them that they were going on the block because I play an open and honest game. And they all thanked me. And, and then I talked to Jason. And Jason, I told you that I wasn't planning to nominate you that day. And you told me that you were so grateful and that you were so on and so forth. And then you said that you would not that you would do what I wanted with the veto. And it turns out you then went around and you promised everyone on the block, all of the nominees, that you would use the veto on them. You lied. You broke your word. And that. That's no good. And Lala's like, he, he didn't promise me that he'd use the beat on me.
A
Yep. I just want to jump in here to say that the premise of what you're saying is factually inaccurate to my reality. Like, oh,
B
and Jason's like, yeah, I, I didn't promise Lala that I would use. What are you talking about? And he's like, well, but that. I listen, I have, I've heard that you promised the people, like, who, who's saying this? Mallory? He says, Jason says, listen, all right, I talked to Angela and Haley about doing what you wanted with the Vita. That was the entire premise of those conversations. In Jason's mind, the only people who could have ratted him out here are Angela and Haley. He talked to Haley a lot, in particular about his true plans. He's been talking to Haley a lot, and, and all this stuff. So he starts really, like, honing in on Haley initially, and he says, that's. I said I wanted to do what you want. And now, again, Jason is lying. Right. Like, he did tell. He did talk to Mallory. He talked to Drew. He talked to plenty of people about what he maybe intended to do with the veto. But, but he also kind of recognizes, like, after this, like, but also, like, what are we even doing here? Like, come. You said this was a whole group thing, that Lala should be nominated, that I should go on the block. So, like, what are. What is. What even is this? And this is the real meat of the Tea Party, because it goes back to what I was talking about with, like, the reasons, the excuses that this is why it's actually your fault you're going on the block, because this is not. There's no strategic purpose to it because every single person in this house knows that Jason was always the planned backdoor target. Kamu told all of them to their faces that Jason was the intended backdoor target. So to go in a group setting and tell Jason the reason why you are going to be my fourth nominee is because you broke your word to me that you wouldn't. That you would not use the veto on somebody when he didn't even win the veto is absurd. It's just trying to force the rest of the group into backing up your obviously fake story to make the person feel incredibly ostracized, which he stated was the purpose of what he was doing, by the way. Maybe not in those exact concrete terms, but he did say that he wanted to make sure nobody would be willing to work with Jason after this confrontation. And so this is, again, like, this is the, the meat of this whole thing. The fact that it's just confrontation for the sake of it. It's just trying to make Jason feel bad for the sake of it when every. Because it's not fooling anybody. Everybody knew that he was always the target. So, so this is essentially what Jason tries to, like, kind of come to. But, you know, it's, it's, it's kind of, It's. It's like a difficult point to make here. And Jason is much more inclined to, like, kind of fight fire with fire, which I, I don't think ultimately helped his case when it came to the, the, the audience in this, uh, confrontation, something that I've, I've talked about a lot, uh, when it comes to, like, the house meeting things. And ultimately, I think one of the reasons why this goes relatively poorly for Jason, by the end of it, you know, when you are in the, the peanut gallery of a confrontation like this, you, you'd usually want to stay in the peanut gallery, and usually your main concern is like, nobody bring me up. Nobody talk about me, Nobody make me feel. Nobody, nobody better say my name. Like, nobody better say that I said this to, to them. And Camus, for as annoying as he was in this confrontation, does not name a single name, despite Jason being like, who. Who did this? Who said this? I'm not gonna say. How is that fair? You're calling me out in front of everyone. You're not even telling me who did it. Bakamu is in the minds of the people like Mallory, like, whoever else who told Jason or who told Kamu these things, it's like he is not saying their names and they're gonna feel a little grateful to him for doing that. And Jason is more like, Haley, what the hell? I talked to you about this, girls. Is this how you want the. Your guys to act? Like, like, is anybody gonna speak up here? And, and like, he's so right for that. Like, you know what I mean? Like, he's so justified in that. But in the game, it is not that people are not gonna like it. They're not gonna, they're not gonna like being called out and they're gonna be much more inclined to like, to, to want to. To distance themselves from it. But again, which is exactly what Kamu wanted in the first place. And so, so this is, this is kind of like the intention here and, and Jason. And it goes around in circles and circles and circles about like, who said what? And was Jason planning to. To use the veto? And it starts to get also to. To like, Angela gets herself involved because she's like, well, I heard you were coming after the icon. And he's like, where did that come from? Haley, Haley, I trusted you. Why did you? Why did you. I know this could only have come from you. Haley. Everything that I'm. Everything that he's saying is things I've been saying to you. I don't want to come after the icons. That'd be stupid of me to think I could go against the most powerful people in this house and protect all these girls when I can't even hit a fucking pickleball.
A
Please.
B
What the hell? And I like pickles.
A
You have Lala on the side. Like, I just want to ask how I became a big threat. I can't even hit a pickleball. If anyone remembers, I can't hit one pickleball. So I don't think. I'm not a big threat.
B
Hit a pickleball. Just to put that out there.
A
Just sporadically throughout the entire meeting. Lala is just jumping in like. And I'm not a big threat because I can't hit pickleballs. Like, okay, Lala, we'll get back to you.
B
Here we go, says Jason. Here we go. Another show just like last week with Devin's. Oh, this big production, right? Cherry picking things I've said to make me look crazy, just like you did to Rome. It's obvious what you're doing here. And just like, I just don't get why I am hearing that you're coming after the icons. Why am I hearing this? And. And we're going to hear from Angela later. I'm pretty sure what Angela really wanted here, given that she, in her mind has been hearing this from Drew primarily. I think she's really hoping that Drew, like, calls out Jason when she. When he denies going after the icons, because later she's gonna be like, drew's a coward. He should have said something to, like, back her up when she was arguing with Jason about whether he was targeting the icons ones. And so. So they get back and forth there. This is like the slightly, like, there's obviously a bit more evidence here when it comes to, like, Jason saying to the red corner he would target the icons and saying the icons that he would target the red corner. That's true. He did do that. But D and D didn't want to, like, get involved. D was part of that information change. He did not want to get involved in that way. And so. So when that comes up, it's. It's even more sort of like, weird and sketchy and. And nebulous in terms of how it goes. Lala continues to, throughout the conversation say, like, he didn't even tell me he was going to use the veto on me, disproving that bit of the information, generally backing Jason up in the conversation. And also, it's really important to. To convey this. I did go live on. On my Patreon. Great place to watch feeds with me, by the way, after the podcast. And I watched the majority of this on Patreon. The video is up if you want to go check it out. And I said on that stream, I said, like, you guys, whoever is watching this with me right now, whoever's watching this live right now or maybe goes back and watches the whole thing, you are getting an experience of this that is so incredibly different. Like, we got to see the. The nomination confrontation on the episode. They did a great job. In many ways. It was better than the feeds version because they were able to stop and cut different angles. It was very good. There's no version of this that. That survives translation to an edit because it was like over an hour long. It was so long. And no, nothing can convey to you the amount of awkward silences and the. The level of, like, hostage taking. It. It was for the people who were there, some of them in dresses, as they were just like, just lengthy period. Like, just sometimes for like, minutes at a time. Just everyone.
A
Yeah. Did you. Taryn, did you know that a group of crows is called a murder?
B
Yeah.
A
Okay. Yeah. Okay.
B
Yeah.
A
Okay. Well, it's adjourned. Like, it was so awkward and like, there's so many things I have to say in terms of, like, I mean, you thought you were going to have a moment at the expense of a drag queen. Like, this is actually my moment. Now I'm going to have it. Thank you very much. And I think Jason, like, started out like, this is Big Brother. What did you expect me to do? I didn't say that. And, like, the levels went up, like, slightly, a little bit throughout, but it was just frustrating. And I don't blame him in, like, no one else is getting involved, comma, saying, like, I don't want to call anyone out while you're calling me out. So that's obviously not true. And so I think that, like, all well and good as he clocks, Kamu did want to, you know, like, end his big brother game here. I know there's a lot of discussion of comments of, like, I'm, quote, gonna end his career. Like, he's gonna. We're gonna end this, and we're gonna end his career. And I think from my perspective, I think that to likely be more of a. Like, if I beat someone so bad in a boxing fight, their career is ended because they look stupid. But obviously, when there have been, like, other reads by people, by other comments, I don't think the audience is going to be as generous. So definitely people were then looking at it as, like, outside career not happening, obviously. So, yeah, this continued to just like, escalate and escalate and then fall into awkward silence.
B
Yeah, there was a very funny moment when I thought for a moment Jason might pull a Frankie, because he basically seemed to, like, reference Frankie as he was like, listen, I know people. I can help you out.
A
I mean, like, what is very funny stuff at this point? Like, just do it. I know RuPaul. RuPaul does not remember me because RuPaul does not remember anyone's names, but I know her.
B
I am a drag queen mogul. I am two steps removed from Ariana Grande. So the. This. The silence, the awkwardness continues. Taylor at one point is just like, I'm out. And she just leaves. And the whole time, I'm just like, who? How are they gonna disperse at this? Like, nobody's will. Nobody's willing to do anything. Finally, at one point, Devin's tries. He goes, all right, and this tea party is adjourned. And he gets up, and not a single person follows him.
A
Let me just stand at the pool table now.
B
They all say. And he just walks over to the pool table where they have all the food. He just starts, like, Eating and standing there awkwardly, like, nobody coming and joining him. They're all just stuck there in their own misery, unable to leave. And. And so, like 10 minutes later, he just awkwardly resigns and comes back.
A
Yep, yep, yep, yep. I don't blame them. Like, there are 15 people there. I would be the 14th person to leave. Like, it is so incredibly awkward.
B
I.
A
You don't want to make a moment of yourself in that argument, but you also don't want to leave and have the chance that, like, people keep talking
B
without you and eventually even Taylor, who is just fully inside, like, doing her own thing, h has to come back because they're still going. And it's, it's like, it's like when you watch the feeds and the feeds are down half the time. It's like there's. There's like five minutes of conversation in the 40 that they're sitting in silence. It's. It's, it's ridiculous. And at one point Lala says, can I ask a question? And she essentially says, like, why is it that some people get called out for doing what everyone else is doing?
A
It's a good point. And I'm glad that Lala finally got to speak because when she did earlier, Jason, 30 seconds into it, just flips off Angela and turns it back to him again. But finally Lala is getting her moment and same facts. We're all doing the same thing and yet we are pretending like one person is the only one doing.
B
And this, this question in particular really, really pissed people off afterwards. Why did Lala. Why was Lala doing? What was she even talking about? She doesn't even understand the game. Like, what does she mean? Like, that's such a stupid question. Oh, my. Oh, my God.
A
Yep. Yeah. How dare she? And, like, that was always going to be the result, no matter again, how much truth she was. Because this isn't an alliance. It is eight people who came together for the purposes of getting Rome out and for getting to the final eight. But it's not an alliance. And how dare you say it is one.
B
Yeah. Finally, finally, after genuinely over an hour, it feels. I think, I think it was D. It was D. Was either the first or the second person to get up, up. And once two people got up, they all disperse. Finally they finally get get up. And this is. I think this is the scene that really frustrated people. It was. It was difficult to watch because they all get up and Jason stays, He stays and he just looks distraught, right? Like, they are all, you know, this was like, he was just informed that he's going to be backdoored. He knows what this was. And there's not a single person other than Lala who spoke up for him. Obviously, they're not going to it's game, but it's still not going to feel good. It's still not going to feel good at all. And he sits there and. And it's just. And this is Jason too. And I think this is part of it. Like, we know Jason at this point. Jason is clearly like, a very,
A
I
B
would say a very sensitive person who also has so much, like, bite to him almost, I think, because of that. And I think that, like, the whole controversial thing with Angela in the beginning of the season is a perfect example of it, where I don't doubt that he was having a real emotional moment with Angela, but then also, like, it was in many ways, I think, too emotional for him. And so he needed to cap it off with, like, a haha. And so to see Jason looking so just purely vulnerable and raw in this moment was tough for me, at least. And. And the thing that really, like, dug in the knife was that, like, he was alone. Like, everyone was just walking. Do it, like, cleaning up the food. Talk, like, oh, man, all the food's gone bad. Which I. I thought was really funny, actually. They were all. So. They were like. They spent all this time making their snacks and all this stuff, and it all gone bad because they took too long. Confrontations.
A
Devastating. You know, pissed charcuterie board went for. Went bad.
B
Yeah. Yeah. So. So they're like, cleaning up and everything. And like, you know, and I mentioned this too. Like. Like, if I'm in Jason spot, personally, I don't even. I don't even want somebody to come up to me at this point. Like, I don't want somebody to, like, sit down with me. Like, I'm not ready for that. Like, this was a lot, but. But I wouldn't mind somebody like, hey, you okay? Yeah, And I can be like, I'm good, thanks.
A
Yep.
B
But nobody did that. In fact, a couple of people, like, walked up to him and I was like, okay, they're gonna ask if he's okay. They walked up, picked up a cup, and left.
A
I was like, really?
B
Not a word to this. But do you see him? And then, like, I see somebody else walk up. Okay, all right. Taylor's gonna say hi, grabs a chair, and then she goes back. I'm like, okay, now she's gonna grabs the next chair.
A
Yep.
B
What is happening?
A
It's tough. I think that there is obviously this Thing in the game where, like, the people that are on the bottom are too scared to be seen talking to Jason and the people that are on the top are now, well, I wouldn't be the right person for this message to be coming from. Rick has said at multiple points, like, I feel bad, I feel like I want to check on him, but I know that, like, I'm not the person who should be doing this. And Rick does eventually, but, like, it takes a long time because it, you know, in theory should be someone else.
B
Yes. Now Jason does then go to the diary room. When he comes out, there are multiple people that come up and check on him, including Devin's and Lyric and Melody and, or Mallory and, and a bunch of them do eventually check up on him. But it's this, it's this image in the aftermath that just felt like, oh, man, like, this did not feel fun. And, and it didn't feel fun either because, like, part of the whole confrontation too. It becomes lala talking about, like, why do people hate me? Like, Kami, you told me that people don't like me in this house because of like all the cooking and cleaning stuff. And it's just like, it just got, it just got to the point where it, it didn't feel fun anymore. And then to make it worse, post the confrontation, we get into your classic, let's all chat about this. Yeah. And by chat about this, I mean let's all pick apart every little thing that Jason has ever said or done in the house. Could you believe he's talking about. Who talks about Jury? Yeah. Oh, my God, I can't believe he mentions Jury so much. And the way that he said this and like, like the way that he does that. Oh, my God. And oh, man, he, he really screwed himself there. And, and then on the reverse side of things, Angela and Haley are talking. Kamu did such a great job. Kamu comes out. Kamu. Oh, Kamu, you handled that beautifully. You're so well spoken. You're such a class act. Kamu. That was, that was beautiful, Kamu. Angela tells him and he walks out and Haley says, and hey, if it helps, you were the most good looking guy in the room. I'm not saying it again. Oh, no, say it again.
A
No. Yeah. You know, I was gonna say it's kind of like reverse virtue signaling where everyone's just like making sure that they're also on the pylon so that they are. Yeah. I also think that was stupid and I don't like what he did. Yeah, it's like it is going to be the same for a large portion of the night, unfortunately.
B
Yeah. And I tweeted this out last night because it really. It really struck me because we haven't really gotten this in the last few seasons in the same way. We got. We certainly got some of it at the end of 25, but. But especially like the. The blockbuster era, where there's been a lack of structure in the house, we. It reminded me that we haven't really seen much of this since. Since 25, essentially. And it made me. Oh, of course, because the blockbuster has kind of limited the amount of structure you can build. It limits the amount of power you can accumulate. And this tends to happen with the, like, the more power a group has, the more they ostracize, the more they dogpile. And you'd. You'd think maybe if you had any amount of optimistic bone in your body, that the more power you have, the less you need to ostracize, the less you need to use these kinds of tactics because you already have so much power. But unfortunately, it does feel like it's actually the opposite. Right. We see it in the Big Brother house all the time. We certainly see it in real life all the time. And. And it really, like, it frustrates me even more that the show is so either intentional or sort of like inadvertently because of decisions they're making, allowing one side to have so much power, like, really, like, shifting the dynamics in one particular direction because. Because this is then what kind of tends to come from it. The more. Even the power balance, the more fun it is in general. Because, number one, it's not punching down, which sucks by itself, but number two, when people are punching down, they punch harder.
A
It's.
B
It's silly, but. But yes, it's so. It's. It's. A lot of Jason said, Lala said, can you believe it? And a lot of like, oh, my God. Why did Lala come into the. Into the hoh room? She just opened the door. Like, she could just come in. Drew did the same thing. Drew's always coming into her stupid room. And. And it's just like, just. Just chill. And I say. I say ever. Like, there are various comments and. And discussions that some people are having that are like, we don't really like what's happening. It's. It's certainly not everyone, and it's primarily Haley, but. But it's just. It's a frustrating dynamic for. For certainly me at least to watch something we've seen play out so many times. And. And the Best remedy for it generally is like, don't let one side have so much power.
A
Yeah. I mean, it's talked about a lot in terms of, like, you bring back someone, let's say, for example, an Angela who is, I mean, actually, you know, has her fans and has people that doesn't, that don't love her, but the people that do love her and do find her entertaining is because she's an underdog that's fighting against a power alliance and somehow like, surviving and like, you know, fighting against the people that currently hold the power. But then when she comes in and she has the power and, or like other vets come in and have the power and then there's a twist that also gives them more power and then they have all of the alliances that give them more power and then they're getting annoyed at all of the other people and they get more power. It's like, this isn't fun anymore. Like, we're not punching, like, we're punching down. It feels like icky. And I think this happens to a fair number of returnees, whether it be on Big Brother, Survivor, other shows of like, ooh, the second season is not hitting like that first one.
B
Yes. Now it's being mentioned in the chat. This is, this is something that's come up that is this big. Quite frankly, I don't really know why, but the big topic of, of the day is like, oh, but wait, Kamu broke the rule that you can't tell somebody that you're nominating them. Surely production will step in. Like, he'll, they'll stop him from being able because he, because he's not supposed to say that. And listen, I wish I could help you out here. It just, that's, it's just not true. It just doesn't work that way. This is like, this is something that, like, honestly, it happens almost every single year that people are like, oh, no, but they broke the wool. Right? And, and it's, I think it a good place. It comes from a place of like, wanting to do something. But it, it's, I, I, I hate to break your hearts, but, like, it's, it's not going to happen. This rule has basically never been enforced. There's like one time in the history of the show that people theorized that it was enforced and the players themselves denied that that was actually even the case. They are not supposed to outright tell their nominees that they're nominating them, I believe primarily because they just will have to edit around it in the episode if they do. But it's not like a hard and fast rule that if you, if you let it slip, if you tell them outright that we are going to step in and punish you and prevent you from doing a thing. It's. It's just. It's just not the. It's a. It would be a very silly rule in the first place.
A
So sorry, when do you enforce it? Of like, well, there's a chance you might be going up. You might want to wear some good clothes on this day. Like, it is such a weird line to draw and it does come up in the fan base, particularly when it's like someone we like is about to go up and someone we don't like is about to nominate them is when we do start to get a little frustrated by it. Consider it the like don't swim for 30 minutes after you eat rule. No one pays attention to this. And it's not real.
B
Nearly every hoh in the history of the show has quote, unquote broken this rule. Like, they all tell their nominees ahead of time in one way or another. So, you know, it's. It is what it is. But, but certainly I would not expect any enforcement of a rule when, you know, again, like, it's not even like the. There is supposed to be enforcement of the rule.
A
Yeah.
B
Okay, so we get through all of that and there is. There's a little bit of here. Lyric goes to Jason. Afterward, he. Jason tells Lyric. He clarifies the situation. He says that. That Kamu wanted him to not use the veto, which is news to Lyric because she was under the impression that the veto was supposed to be used on her. And he says, no, I was supposed to not use it. Now he is telling the truth. He wasn't supposed to use it. She goes to Kamu and says, so Jason's telling me that he wasn't supposed to use the veto at all. Kamu denies it. Kamu says, no, no, it was always supposed to be you. I talked to him about doing what I wanted with the veto and what I wanted with the veto was you off the block. This is a lie. He didn't want to have to renominate anyone. Anyone, of course, but. But that is any. A small little interaction that happens. I don't think it's going to go anywhere. There's in fact a lot of talk about Kamu and Lyric. Yeah, crushing a little bit. Lyric being like, I hope Rome's not mad at me for doing this if he's got a crush on me, so on and so forth. But yes, little interaction There for sure.
A
And it's really easy to assume like, oh, Jason assumed that he would not want to use the veto. And so that was just like him extrapolating based off of what he said. I think the next like logical thought would be like, well then who would common have put up if he wanted Jason to use the veto on me? But we don't have to think that far ahead.
B
Yeah, Drew is going to talk to D and Devins and he makes another push for Mallory to stay. And this is one. This was one of the thoughts I had given Lala's involvement in because a lot of people were asking me on stream what do I think the fallout from this whole Tea Party situation is. And most of what I was saying was like, I really don't think it changes anything. In fact, many of the people afterward were like, this doesn't really change anything. But one potential influence it could have is that given Lala's involvement, it could spur the fire of somebody like Haley and open up the door more for this Mallory Lala vote, which continues to be the only real intrigue of, of like campaigning kind of vote situation. And it seemingly does because Drew reinvigorated both from his conversation with Haley and perhaps from a little bit from this interaction, does make another push for Mallory to stay. And he also is going to use Barrett a bit here in his, in his pitch saying like, we can't, you know, we can't have, we can't like take out Mallory this. Let's bear his person. He's got a little bit of a crush and he's like, what? Yeah. Attractive. It's like, what?
A
Yeah. You know, if theoretically one of us in the alliance had a side alliance that we have a crush on, we might want to keep them around. I think that might be helpful for us in the future. There's just like a little bit of a crush. Maybe that would convince people. I don't know.
B
Yeah, there's. Crushes are valuable.
A
Float the argument before you make it. I like it.
B
Angela later interrogates Drew, actually it might have been earlier interrogates Drew in front of a bunch of people in that hoh room about Melody. And he, he, he does his. Like this is basically the stock, the stock thing. He says, like, ah, she's older, you know, she's 24, she lives in Arizona. He lives in like Temecula. It's like not that far. And she's. I'm pretty. She's got like a guy at home, which we've talked about on the updates. Of course. But, but that's like, I, I love. This is so funny to me that like the first two points are like not an issue at all.
A
I would look the, the age difference from like the 2 years from 22 to 24, like are bigger than other 2 year G. Not big enough to end this by any means.
B
Yes, yes. So, so Drew is pushing this with D and Devins. Devin's pushes back. He says, I'm not gonna lie. Like it feel pretty dumb for like me to not want Mallory out considering Mallory is gunning for me and D and Drew's like, yeah, you know, I get that. I'm convinced, I'm convinced. But you know, I don't know, it could be, you know, there's an argument on the other side. And because Drew isn't backing down this time, Evan starts to wobble a little bit like, all right, listen, the way that this could work is if we lean into it and we say, hey, if we keep you and you help do this, like we make sure we aim her at the cool kids.
A
Kids.
B
Cool kids terminology coming back by the way, for, for the red corner that like, as long as Mallory is aimed at Kamu, Haley and Chuck and not the icons, maybe, yeah, maybe we could make a world where it makes sense to keep Mallory. And considering everything that just happened with that big blow up, there's kind of some ammunition to use against the cool kids. Like maybe some reason for Mallory to, to want to target them over the icons considering what Kamu just did. And so this idea is, is clearly kind of circling around in Devin's mind. And, and to make things sort of even more interesting with that vote, Chuck, Haley, Angela and D are going to be up in the gym. And Haley makes another strong push for Lala to go. She says if we don't take Lala out now, we're never gonna do it. She's gonna stick around week after week because it's always going to be the same argument. She's weak, she can't win competitions, she's not a threat. And so every single week she's gonna be on the block not winning the blockbuster, making it harder for us to take out our targets. And instead let's keep Mallory so we can keep throwing her on the block so that she can win the blockbuster, so that when of the boys in this house like Drew and Barrett, we have Mallory to win blockbusters against them. And I'll give for this, it's an interesting premise that I haven't really heard an argument for with the blockbuster. In the game. Do I think it makes sense? Not really, but, you know, it's an interesting idea.
A
Yeah. And I think especially for the icons who are already going to have to be worried about red corner playing, like, winning some of the late game competition might be up against. Then keeping someone like Lala who can't even hit a pickleball might be a little bit more appealing than keeping someone like a Mallory for like, oh, she's gonna stick around for six or seven weeks. Like, that's okay. That'll be okay.
B
She can't. Yeah, she can't even hit a pickleball. But she's just like, I just don't feel comfortable with how many women are being evicted. It's going to come down to just a couple of us left, and we're gonna have to get rid of some of these boys. And if, and if. If it's just us left and Lala, then we're the ones that are gonna have to beat these boys in competitions. So we should keep Mallory around so that she can beat them for us. And again, does this argument make sense?
A
No.
B
The reality is you're gonna have to beat Mallory. But it. She's pitching it. She just really wants Lala gone. And Angela seems to be starting to get swayed a little bit by this. She's like. She's like, oh, hold on. There's an argument here that I can latch on. I think what she's saying is if we don't get rid of Lala now, she'll. She'll be here, she'll be around forever. And she also really likes this idea of like, oh, we can use Mallory to help eat Drew and Barrett and competitions when we go after them. And Chuck is like, listen, listen, ladies, when it comes to the guys, you know, I'm. And he goes into this whole, like, five minute monologue, like, where, like, it's. It's totally not a big deal because what's gonna happen is that I'm perfectly willing to. And Haley's like, but my thing with Lala is that, like, I just. So what I was saying about the guys is that I can absolutely take that shot for you, Angela. I would absolutely nominate Barrett and Drew. And so, so all this is happening and. And Chuck's is eventually Haley's like, chuck, can you be the one to float this idea to, like, Kamu? Because, like, I can't do it. And he's like, okay, so I float the idea. Take out Mallory. No, no, Lala. Right, okay, take out Lala. And Dee's sitting There trying to argue, but, like, Haley is just rolling right over, like, just not really letting anyone talk, including Chuck, when he tries to do his whole spiel. And so by the end of this conversation, like, it's. It's kind of like Haley's really pushed this in the direction of Mallory staying again, lala leaving, and. And then D goes and talks to. To Devin's after this as well. And. And they're kind of just like, Devin's like, is this a losing battle? Like, should. Like, should we genuinely just kind of, like, lean into it and try to win Mallory over instead of fighting this? And he's like, I think we can still get the votes if Jason comes off the block. Jason would be a vote to keep lala over Mallory.
A
I don't.
B
I don't know if that's even the case, but Devin's is like, yeah, but then what? It's like a six. Six. Like, it's a really close vote, and we maybe lose Drew and Barrett over it. Like, I don't know if this is worth the effort. And so just like that, the pendulum has seemingly kind of swung back in the direction of Mallory staying over lala. And Barrett's gonna make another push with D as well later in the night. So. And. And Drew's gonna keep pitching. So, like, there is a lot of intrigue with this vote, and it's going back and forth. It really felt like Mallory lost her momentum and then kind of picked it back up later in the night. So right now, it, like, Mallory once again may have the votes over lala in the event that Jason wins the blockbuster. And this is an important vote for many reasons. Mallory is a key figure in the house against the vets, and there's a very decent chance that Jason does win that blockbuster. He's already won one in the PAT in the past. A lot of the blockbusters do tend to favor, like, size and physicality. Mallory is fit. Like, she's really fit, but she is smaller. So, like, you know, a blockbuster like the one we just got, where you're, like, lifting these big pieces and stacking them on things, is gonna slightly favor Jason. And Lala can't hit a pickleball, so theoretically, she doesn't have as much of a chance. I think that she certainly could have a chance in some of these competitions, but. But, like, Jason has a very real shot of winning this blockbuster, which really would mean that this Mallory lala situation really could come to a head. So interesting stuff with this vote.
A
Yeah. There's no doubt that obviously Like Lala could win lots of competitions, including a booth comp, but then like Kamu could also win a booth comp, so you just never know. There definitely is concern, especially like, I know Rick has talked about it a lot of like, do we really want to leave in Jason and Mallory, like the two most likely on that side to win an hoh? That seems a little concerning to me, but I think that given the point of the week, you might think it's like very likely to flip back on Mallory. But given the people that are more willing to put their foot down are on the side of keeping Mallory openly in this vote, I am not so sure. Could flip back and forth.
B
Yeah, Kamu I think, is still the biggest obstacle because Kamu has the position the HOH to to really put his foot down. Devins clearly does not want to like, strictly put his foot down down. Dee's never been a super put her foot down person either. And with Angela easily swayed, with Drew pushing, with Barrett pushing, with Haley pushing, there's a lot of push to keep Mallory around. And Kamu is the only one who can really be like, no, this is my hoh. I'm not willing to let Lala go home on my hoh. That would be such a waste. Basically, I think Camus would need to convince Haley. If Haley stopped pushing, that would give D and Devins what they need to override Drew and Barrett and the whole thing crumbles. So Haley right now is the linchpin, the, the thing keeping the entire Mallory idea afloat. And it has nothing to do with Mallory and everything to do with her just wanting Lala out.
A
Yeah, completely. I think that is what it's going to take is like, how much are we listening to Commonwealth? I'm curious to see the common Haley conversation as we keep.
B
Yes, I agree. Especially considering she's calling him the best looking guy in the room when they weren't even in a room.
A
So
B
that's really, that's like a lot. That's really what's going on for the rest of the night. However, there's one thing which I've already kind of alluded to here, which is that late into the night, Jason comes into the kitchen, he looks around a little bit, he finds a teapot, he grabs a spoon. I think this will work.
A
Oh, yep, yep, yep, yep.
B
Pre planning you like tea parties? Well, I'll be spilling the tea all day tomorrow.
A
And don't worry, someone could take this from him and hide it. But no, Jason decides I, I'm actually gonna sleep with the tea kettle and the spoon.
B
Breaks the spoon on it.
A
Broke the wood a little bit. That's okay.
B
He takes the teapot and he goes to bed and cradles.
A
Yep, yep. You know, and there is like some. Should we make a heist? Should we steal the tea kettle? Do you think when he falls asleep we could sneak in there, this is happening.
B
And then Taylor comes up to him as he's cradling the teapot like, what? Why'd you wake me up? Like, what, what was that for? And he's like, what do you mean?
A
Oh, I can't wait to catch up
B
on the boarding feeds, apparently. And listen, it doesn't feel like anything really came from it because nobody, like had an extended period of like, whoa, it's going down. But apparently he has been banging tea pot already this morning so expect perhaps some more tea to be spilled throughout the day as he comes up with more and more activities.
A
The problem with, like, Kamu told everyone he was going to be nominating Jason so it had no impact. Well, when you tell everyone that you're going to bang pots and pans in the morning, well, then I'm expecting to be woken up by pots and pans.
B
Yeah. All right. That is about, I believe, what we've got for you from yesterday again today. We've got teapots, we've got the veto ceremony later tonight. We've got the roundtable. If you want to give your opinions on what's been happening, game wise, player wise, all of that stuff, make sure you tune in tonight for the roundtable. I'll have the survey out. I think I'll just put the survey up earlier today. We all know Jason's going on the block, so. So we'll give you some time to put in some answers and I'll of course be back tomorrow morning, 11am Eastern. Update everything that happens today on the big brother 28 live feeds. If you want to check out my reaction to the tea party last night, it's the video is up on Patreon, my Patreon if you want to check it out. Very fun place to be, my Patreon. And I might be live today watching more tea party shenanigans and teapot shenanigans, who knows? So stay tuned for all of it. Scally, anything else you want to bring up from yesterday.
A
There was a quick conversation. I saw little clips of making their way around with Kamu and Drew where Kamu's talking about the height of his ideal woman and how he doesn't want to be looking her in the eyes. She should be shorter with heels. And Drew's like, I don't know. Why do you care about that? I'm fine with making eye contact with the girl that I'm interested in, personally.
B
I personally think women are about as equal as men.
A
I think they're equal. The feminist Drew
B
know about you. If you don't feel that way, that's fine, but I don't really care how tall they are.
A
Well, so, you know, maybe I said that I didn't think that Joey. Com would have issues, but we'll see how that goes.
B
It's it. It's it all. It's continuing to remind me of. Of Corey in that. In that way. I. Yeah, it was a. It was a funny interaction. All right, that is about what we got then. Scally, where can people find you? What do you have to.
A
People can find me on social media at Brian Scally, on Twitch, at Twitch tv, B Scally. And on the Free Agents podcast, talking about Old school the Challenge, New school the Challenge, which is about to come out in a couple of weeks. So go check out the Free Agents podcast.
B
All right, well, that is what we have. Thank you all so much for joining us here today. That is going to conclude our tea party, and I will see all of you next time.

This live feed update by Taran Armstrong and guest Brian Scally recaps all the juicy strategy, drama, and memorable moments from Day 20 in the Big Brother 28 house. The episode focuses heavily on Kamu’s (HOH) efforts to justify his planned backdoor of Jason, the infamous "Tea Party" confrontation, shifting campaign efforts around Mallory and Lala, and the dynamics of power and alliance tension brewing as the week unfolds.
"It's really like an unfortunate... not great inclination for players in general." (Taran, 05:13)
Time: ~[34:00]–[56:49]
Kamu awkwardly launches his lengthy, planned house meeting at the tea party, trying to "Dan Geesling" the house with a fake-out emotional speech.
"He’s trying to do, like, the funeral, you know what I mean? …But. Oh, here we go." (Taran, 36:15)
The confrontation gets bogged down by confusion:
The confrontation drags on for over an hour, full of silences and nobody speaking up for Jason (except briefly, Lala).
"Nothing can convey to you the amount of awkward silences and the level of, like, hostage taking it was for the people who were there." (Taran, 51:13)
Afterward, Jason is left alone in the house, and only much later do houseguests check in on him.
"He stays and he just looks distraught... There’s not a single person other than Lala who spoke up for him." (Taran, 57:04)
"You like tea parties? Well, I'll be spilling the tea all day tomorrow." (Taran as Jason, 84:16)
"Why call a house meeting when there’s already a house party planned?"
– Scally, 8:37
"You don’t have to feel bad about it. You just make it their fault."
– Taran, 03:59
"I want to tell them I'm going to nominate them… If only there was a meeting during the week."
– Scally, 12:30
"He’s trying to do, like, the funeral… I love you all, but… here we go…"
– Taran, 36:15
"If anyone remembers, I can’t hit one pickleball."
– Lala, multiple times during tea party, [48:03]+
"There was a call out happening in front of me, and I had to talk about something else because nothing was happening."
– Taran, 39:49
"No one else got up… they’re all just stuck there in their own misery, unable to leave… like hostage taking."
– Taran, 54:24
"The more power a group has, the more they ostracize, the more they dogpile. You’d think… you need to do it less the more you have… but it’s actually the opposite."
– Taran, 65:33
"He takes the teapot and he goes to bed and cradles it."
– Taran, 84:43
