Every morning, Darion Armstrong talk Big Brother. Looking at the stuff from yesterday, all the drama, all the strategy and silliness from Phoenix to HOH every single season, you know, he is the reason, you know, what's happening, happening. Rob said that he could do it tomorrow. He will do it again. Hello, everyone, and good morning. Welcome to our live feed update for July 18th. I'm your host, turn Armstrong, and I'm here to update you on everything that happened yesterday on the big brother 28 live feeds. It was day 11 in the house and oh, boy, we got a big one. We got. It was a. It was a big day. It was a big day and there was a lot of chaos, a lot of arguments, a lot of sobbing. And we have, of course, some nominations to talk about. And with me to talk about it all, it's Matt. How you doing, man?
B
Oh, I'm so good. You know, Taran, yesterday was maybe the best day of my life. Even better than the day that D1 survivor. So that's. That's how I'm feeling. I. I don't know. I don't know what we did to deserve this. We are extremely lucky. We are being so well fed going into this week, into this weekend. It's just. This is going to be a fun one.
A
Yes, Quite. Quite a thing to talk about, of course. Just to catch you up, Devin's won the HOH this week, and on Thursday night, he talked about his potential plans, and they mostly included targeting Melody because of her behavior in the HOH competition, abandoning him as a partner in that competition. However, Angela pitched something bigger. She said, why not just go for it? Let's try to backdoor Rome and just completely blow the house up. And Devin's chaos demon that he is was like, I like this idea. So they pulled everyone from the crossovers and the red corner up into the HOH room. They held a large meeting where they named their new alliance, which is the combined form of those two groups, and named it the Tool Shed, which I'm still not pleased about personally. And while this was happening, Rome was downstairs, seeing that there was something going on up there, tried to ring the doorbell, would they would not answer. So it was becoming pretty obvious to him that something was wrong. The plan now was to nominate Jason, Melody and Lyric to backdoor Rome. And they were all up in that room. So everyone knows that they were all up in that room and that stuff is going down. So. So we wake up the morning of day 11 and. And Rome is like, so about that meeting guys, like, what's going on up there. First of all, I apologize. I apologize for, you know, that was out of character of me to have gone upstairs like that. You know, that was, you know, I was being. I was being, you know, messy. And. And Lyric's gonna spend the day like it's. If Rome hadn't gone upstairs, you know, like, I can't believe he did that. But. But also kind of, you know, asking like, what's going on? And he. He talks to Devin. This was happening during the update yesterday. And Devin's essentially is like, yeah, I'm sorry we didn't let you in. That was. That was mean. We shouldn't have done that. But, yeah, we might be in some trouble.
B
Yeah. I gotta say, I don't know how Rome slept that night because I feel like for him and Jason and Lyric, as they were standing around the kitchen knowing that I was calling them, the less hateful, grateful were up in the room just not letting them in, not wanting to talk to them. He's knocking at the door, ringing the doorbell. Nobody's letting him in. Like, they are, like, very aware that their games are crumbling, if not already crumbled to the ground. One of them is in big time danger this week. So I'm like, how do you go to bed knowing that, like, that's just dropped on you? It's 4:30 in the morning. I would not be able to sleep. And I would say they weren't able to sleep because Rome wakes up so early and he's so exhausted throughout the entire rest of the day. A lot of the behavior that I think we're going to see from him during the day, he's like, justifying a lot of us didn't get a lot of sleep last night, especially you, who probably were stirring all night. And so then, yeah, he wakes up and he's on like, an apology tour, which I was not expecting at all. What do you mean? You're the one apologizing to everybody. Because he feels bad that when they came down the stairs that he was like, making comments about, like, not cool guys. Not cool. Like, oh, I should have kept my temper to myself. It's like, you're not wrong in feeling the way that you felt, but he was clearly, like, trying to. I guess he spent the night instead of sleeping, trying to find a way to maybe get out of this bad situation by getting back in people's good graces. As Devin's tells him we might be in some trouble and might be a little too late for all that.
A
Yes, I would definitely say sleep deprivation contributed to the events of the day. I certainly know it contributes to my own madness as the season progresses. And, you know, it's worth noting as well that, like, Rome, to this point, you know, when Devin's is HOH and things are looking like. Because the day before, Jason was pretty concerned. Like, there were. There were people that were concerned about the fact that they might go up on the block with Devin's hoh, and Rome has been a pretty steady. He was like, don't worry. I got this. And then the night happened. And now during the day, Rome is really like. Think of him like. Like a. Like a kettle that is boiling over, but he's got the lid firmly shut. He's like, don't worry about this. I'm not worried. I'm a competitor. I'm gonna take care of all of this. While everyone else is freaking out, Rome is like, I got this, guys. We'll figure this out. Just. Just keep that in mind as we run through the day. So, of course, the big. One of the big things about the fact that that meeting took place the night before is that. Is that Devin's had all those people up there, including Drew and Barrett, who are supposed to be their undercover agents. We talked a lot about how they were making this way too obvious, so on and so forth, and so there's a lot of talk about Drew and Barrett as, like, well, are they with them now? Is that what's happening? Like, what are we doing? And Rome even questions Drew about it a bit, like, what's. What's going on? Drew, essentially, at least initially, is going to kind of run the line of, like. Yeah, I mean, I. I was kind of, like, included in that, but, you know, I'm not. Not like, a. A deep part of it. I've. I've been given the. The. The. The. The rundown on, like, what's kind of maybe happening. But, you know, I. I can't say too much, and I'm just kind of, like, trying to play it as safe as possible, trying to act like he got dragged into a room, but that he's. He's not bought in, he's not drinking the Kool Aid.
B
It's just so insane to, like. We saw the feeds, right? We saw what was on the. That Rome Jason lyric. They won't see that until they get to go home and watch the footage back. But, like, Rome knew what was happening on the other side of the door. He went around the house, he counted beds. He saw who was up there and had a good idea. So, like, in that moment, it's just like, on a human level, you're like, you're really not gonna open the door and not gonna let me in. And so the next day, it's like, well, how do we get out of that? You're wondering, how are they going to get out of the room? How are they going to justify that they were all in there. Rome could just sit outside the door and wait for them to come out. And basically that's what happened. He was just in the kitchen instead of waiting outside the door, like, he grabbed himself a seat to do so as the next morning is coming around, and all of them, including, especially, I should say, Drew and Barrett, everyone has to come up with, like, a, how am I the least innocent person in all of this? How am I the person that was the least contributing to you being isolated from that. From being allowed in the hoh room? And everyone is, like, very slowly and subtly throwing another person under the bus. Of course, you have your bigger people that are going to get thrown under the bus. And Angela is really easy to do that with. Haley is really easy to do that with. Oh, you know. Know who was. Who was, you know, doing that? I don't have to say it. Right. And then without having to say anything, people are like, Haley, I guess. Yeah, yeah. You know, Or Angela. Yeah, yeah. So it's really easy for them to point fingers. But it's very funny watching all of them point fingers while they talk to Rome throughout the day.
A
Yes, very much so. And. And it's again, it's like, the thing is, if both Drew and Barrett are with that group, then the rest of them are just screwed at this moment. So there's some. There's some copium going on as well. Of, like. Well, I mean, we can. We can win them back, though. They're still weak. They're still gonna be with us, though, right? Like, if we kind of. If. If not, then we're. Then we're doing things up there.
B
This is fantastic.
A
Like, Drew, you're gonna still be with us, right?
B
Yeah. Yeah.
A
Oh, thank God. That was close one, I thought, because you were up there hanging out with them, celebrating with the new alliance and not letting Roman that you might actually be working with us there, but it's the fact that you're not. Oh, that's a relief.
B
What do they say about denial? They say a lot of things about denial, but insert whichever of those you'd like to use here.
A
So it's a river.
B
It's a river. It's A hell of a drug.
A
Yeah, so. So that's what Drew is doing. This is also going to happen with Barrett because Mallory is going to be like, have we lost Barrett? I like Barrett. And she asks him about it and he's like, no, we're good. She's like, oh, thank God.
B
Oh, good, good, good. I was so worried that we lost you. No, I'm with you. Okay. Thank God. Yeah, easy enough.
A
So I. There. There are some. There's some setup going on. Just like a lot of these, like, little conversations. Angela's gonna talk with lala and they talk about actually making a little, like, working alliance, the mama's alliance together. Angela does warn her, though, like, I'm not gonna lie, you're. You're not gonna like what's gonna happen today.
B
I mean, she could have not liked it even worse if Devin probably did his original plan. I mean, I will say, throughout the entire day today, all of the lala and Angela interactions were amongst my favorite, because all I can think about, it's only 11 days in, is Lala's confessional in the first diary room in the first episode of the season. Being like, not enough room in this house for both of us. Angela. Sorry. And Angela is, like, putting in some of the most work she's putting in with anybody with lala.
A
So Rome does talk to Jason and basically, you know, they're talking about, like, this is. It's not looking great. I think given what Evans was just saying to me about how we're in some trouble, things could get a bit dicey. I think it might be like you and me and Lyric on the block or, or something along those lines. And, you know, that's not great. And so Jason's now really in a panic. He's really concerned about Barrett as well. He's like, barrett's with D. But. But Rome says, but I think, I think we can get Drew back. I think they're trying to pull him in, but I think we can get him back. And. And so, you know, that's what they're kind of talking about. And again, throughout the day, Jason's gonna just be down. Like this, this side of the house in general seems to really just shut down, but Jason in particular has a lot of these moments where he. He gets a little teary eyed whether he's alone or with somebody else. You know, he's just upset about the situation and, and Rome is trying to hype him up. Like, hey, don't worry. Again, I was. Don't worry. We got this like, look, at me? Do I look. Do I look concerned? Because I'm not. Because I'm not concerned. Because we got this, you know, like. Like it's gonna be okay. Like, we're gonna. You know what? We're gonna make Angela cry, you know, instead of you. That's what we're gonna do. Because at this point, they're. They're mostly blaming Angela. Drew has sort of insinuated that Angela was leading the meeting more so than Devin's. Not that it needed to be pointed in that direction anyway. It was already kind of a thing. And of course, once we get to the nomination ceremony, we'll talk about more of the Angela stuff. But again, Drew's just trying, or Rome is trying to hype up Jason here as much as possible.
B
I would like to give everybody homework, including you. Not that you need more homework, but if the feeds go down today and you're looking for something to. To watch, to check out Drag race All Stars 11. There's. If you don't watch Drag Race, there's. I guess I'll call it an after show that's called Untucked, which is just a debrief of what happened in the episode. As they say, if you're not watching Untucked, you're only getting half the story. And the Untucked. Episode four, episode six of this most recent season where Selina is involved in this drama that I know that I'm pretty sure that you've heard about Taran, going into the season of. There was this alliance and there was a betrayal and all of this stuff. That episode of Untucked where the gameplay is really brought to light and you really see Selina, like, struggling with what happened, and some of the other girls are, like, trying to get Selena and the person who she feels like betrayed her back on the same page. It's very. It's not exactly the same as this, but it's very similar of, like, Selena's trying to keep her head on straight and trying to not, like, completely lose it, but, like, every instinct within her is to lose it. And the same kind of thing is happening here of just, like, running around being like, this is bad. This is really bad. All of the alarm bells are going off. My favorite part of all of this was when Jason goes to Angela and was like, angela, I'm so scared. I think I might be going up. And Angela's like, oh, well, at least you'll have two chances to save yourself. That's not what I want to hear, Angela.
A
That's not what I want to hear
B
right now and storms off to the other side of the house and like, fair enough. That's not what I would have wanted to hear either, but, like, the emotion just comes spewing out sometimes and then Jason will sit there and like, try to rein it back in. And that's what's been making Jason a very compelling and fun character for me to watch so far. Not great for the gameplay, but we know that.
A
Yes. Well, I. It's. It's looking rough. This, this, you know, the Jason lyric, Rome side, they're all kind of. They're all kind of down as they wait for what feels like the inevitable. In the meantime, not everyone is buying and all of what Drew is selling. Taylor does talk to Mallory and she really is what gets Mallory spinning for a little while because she's saying she really feels like Drew and Barrett are with the other side and that they're basically just moles on this side of the house. And she's 100% correct. And Mallory's like, but I don't want to have lost Barrett. And of course she talks to Lyric about it and then she talks to Barrett and she's like, oh, thank God I still have Barrett because he said so. And so, you know, we'll see. Taylor, you know, it's. It's so interesting. The. The people who are nominated on the. On week one again, they're usually in this terrible position in part because they continue to be renominated, in part because they didn't have a chance to fit in with the entire group before. But what Devin's did by completely protecting them in the second week is, is give them such new life in the game. Taylor still isn't super well connected anywhere. Neither is Yash. But having this week to really, like, try to fit back in is giving them both such opportunities. Taylor with a little bit of a clearer picture of what's happening because she's a little bit further removed than everyone else in the Rome side of things while still being able to play both sides. Yash very much playing both sides throughout the day, telling Rome, oh man, I got you, bro. You're my boy. And then going to Devin's and being like, haha, we got him, didn't we? Like just fully playing both sides but not having a place in either side either. So it's interesting to watch the two of them really try to maneuver through here. Mallory, of course, also a little bit in this position, but having won the veto, she is. She had a little more time to integrate back in. She does have that connection to Lyric and to melody to some degree still. And she still has that thing with Barrett, but it's. It's interesting stuff.
B
Yeah. Mallory's been gaming, I would say, a little bit harder to say the least than the other two, probably like Mallory, then Yash, then Taylor, in that order for me. But Taylor and Yash getting that break 100%. Great point about, like, they've just been able to not have to just be, you know, with their backs against the wall and playing, you know, from defense the entire way through this time last season and probably the same in 26. You know, there was similar nominees in week one going into week two. I think it was Kelly and Amy that were both up at some point in week two that were also up in week one. And so it just like, as soon as Devin said I don't want to put the same people back up, I was like, all right, we're already off to a so much better start just because getting a whole new set of people up on the block, that's just. It feels unheard of for this format of the game and for these two in particular. I feel like this week is not going to be much for them as far as finding them a home in the game. But at some point, that's what's fun about this. The fact that they're not just back up on the block, that they are available. They are pieces fully available to be picked up. And honestly, I'm a little surprised that your Ds of the world, Devins of the world, aren't pulling them in even closer to say you look like you're off on your own right now. Let me make something here. But whoever does get to them first, whatever side gets to them first or players or whatever hoh week, they actually factor into something rather than just sitting on the block like, that's going to be almost a whole new game. It's like a whole new character is going to be unlocked for us.
A
Yeah. Yeah. And to be clear, you know, Devin's in particular, I think, is working on both Taylor and Yash. That's part of how they're playing both sides. But I think your point is, and I agree with it, that, like, it's not a lot of work being done because there's a lot of other stuff to focus on which wasn't super necessary but very fun for us. But yeah, like, there's a lot going on and they're not really focusing their energies on picking up these new numbers as much as they are just kind of like, having those conversations, being told what they want to hear and being like, right, Angela, management takes up a
B
lot of time in your day, so there's not a ton of time for other things.
A
Yeah, it'll be interesting to see where they actually end up falling. I'm inclined to believe that both are still actually leaning more on the Rome side of things right now. Though that could certainly change over the course of the week as they are, you know, being they're on the outs. So you tend to gravitate more toward the power. So we'll see about that. But we eventually had the fees come down, go down for a little bit, and when they come back up, we see that somebody has. Remember, there's a twist. Somebody's won the time capsule. And I believe how this will work is that, you know, basically somebody's voted for you go into the diary room, they rush you off to the basement or whatever. You. You compete in a competition. If you win the competition, you now secretly have a power. If you lose the competition, you get some kind of punishment. We talked about how, like, is this going to be a game related punishment or is it going to be something obvious so that you know whether or not that person's even was chosen and that they didn't get it. Because you can't get the time capsule twice, you only have one shot at getting that power. And if you don't win it, you just get a punishment. Now everybody knows you don't have a power. And so what we discover is that because base, again, like, if somebody gets the power, we might not know unless they tell anybody. So surprise, surprise to us when Angela walks in to the house from the diary room in the Vince egg costume,
B
shout out to Lavina, who had my favorite tweet on all of this, saying, I love that time travel means we go 365 days back to one year ago to see Vinnie and his egg costume back. I mean, no, Vinnie, we don't see Vinnie just yet. It would have been great if Vinnie, like handed it off to Angela and like presented it to her. Point of all of this costume is going to be. Angela is going to be miserable in this costume by the end of the day. She seems to be up for the fun of it all right at the beginning. But yes, she is now. The egg. Lots and lots of egg puns coming especially from Rick Devins throughout the day, who is like taking in the rid Big Brother. And that's been a lot of fun to watch. And he's like, there's an Egg walking around the house. Like, this lady was already such a character that I've spent some time with so far, and now she's an egg. Like, this is. Oh, there's the egg. There's Angela, the egg. And, like, the horrible part about this is horrible. You know, whatever. It's. It seems very heavy. She's having a really tough time moving around. It's so hard to sit down. You might remember last year, same thing with Vinnie. Like, people need to have a stool available for you to sit down on under the egg. Which is, like, a weird way to describe that.
A
This photo is her trying to sit down as they adjust the stool height, but she just can't figure it out.
B
Like, Angela Murray's in there. Do you guys realize that, like, that's not just a. A big, little, big egg. Like, there's a person in there, and she's not happy about it. There was one point throughout the day where she is in the storage room, and I don't know what was going on in there, but she's just kind of, like, zoning out. I think she was just trying to, like, disassociate and not think about how she was in the egg. Really not happy about this at the end of the day.
A
Yeah. So what happened was, according to what we were able to see or hear from Angela, she. She won the power. She was voted for. And, yeah, those are different things. She won the time capsule, did not get the power because she had to compete in this. In this competition. Turns out the competition was. And they really, like, locked in with funny Angela gifts and images. Apparently the competition was that same one where you. If you've seen it, you. I hope you've seen it, where Angela's spinning around. It was like. It was like episode early. Early competition of Big Brother 26, and Andrew's like, you're spinning around, trying to, like, look at the colors and stuff, and she failed it. And so now she has lost her one chance at the Time Capsule power, and everybody knows that she lost her one chance at the Time Capsule power, and she's pretty embarrassed about it on top of being pretty miserable in the egg suit costume. And. And now if you haven't made the connection yet, all of this is going to happen today with the nominations and Angela's planning to call out Jason and all of this stuff. It's all going to happen with her in the egg costume.
B
It's incredible. I do want to just kind of, like, zoom out a little bit and say that this is good for me. Like, I Am rooting for Angela. I want her to be there all season long. Of course, like, what am I dumb? But the fact that she doesn't win this power, given how the game is going right now, to me, is a good thing. I don't know what the power would have been, but that side does not need more power. So just the fact that she's not only without a power and in an egg, to me it's a win.
A
A good thing for the season as a whole. You mean not for Angela herself?
B
Yes, yes, yes. Just like for the way that the game is forming right now that that side doesn't need more power. To me, obviously she would benefit from the power.
A
I agree. I agree with that as well. I think that like, had the vets obviously won a power, if, like, nobody had said anything and everyone would have just assumed that the vets were getting them, that would have been. We talked about it yesterday, just an additional layer of like, okay, this is pretty ridiculous. However, the fact that Angela won it but failed, I think is huge for the other side for anybody that doesn't want to just roll over for the vets. And that's because now they have concrete, like, information that in that implies that sort of like reinforces the idea the vets are going to get these three, the first three powers. Angela won the first one. Devin's and D will probably get the next couple and you know, but Angela didn't actually get her power this time. So next week Devins will be out of power. He can't play in the hoh and no other vet will have won a power yet. That's going to be their chance to actually do something as opposed to Devins is in power right now and they probably also have a power and they're probably going to win another one next week. So even if I do win hoh, am I going to be screwed if I try to go after them? Like now there is an opening, there is event on the Death Star and it might be worth trying to go for it. So definitely big for, for like the, the openness of the game for sure.
B
On top of all of that, sorry if you were going to go back to this, but Jason had a nice long moment of pitching himself in his own case for the power earlier on in the day. While he was all passionately, like, fired up about the possibility he was going to go up feeling very emotional, he's really able to turn that emotion into television, I guess to say, like, he's able to just like flip the switch and like, I'm really sad right now. But come on, America, give us the power. Come on, give it to me. Give it to Taylor, who's in the same room as him. We have to stop the bullies that are taking over this house. And the voting has already closed, mind you. But like, hey, maybe next week if he's still there.
A
Yes. And once they find out that Angela got it, he very much is like I told you, tried to warn you guys. That's what I was saying the whole time. And. And they're like, but ah. Like Rome's like, oh, I guess. I guess America doesn't like us. I mean, even after Evans is the hoh and like, like we're not even in power and we give the power to. And it's just like, guys, this isn't hard to. She just got it today. When do you think voting. Do you. Do you know how the. No, they don't know how the episodes there. Who am I talking about?
B
Do you know how voting works with a returning player group? Like if. If any of the newbies thought that they were going to be in consideration for this one, you know, again, denial.
A
So Drew does have a conversation with Melody, a very important one. So another thing we talked about yesterday was the idea that maybe you nominate Melody, maybe you nominate Lala. Now that conversation never got reintroduced. It's just gonna be Mallory. Sorry, Melody, but. But the question now is like, will this work for them? Can they, number one, protect Melody on the block to make sure they take out a target that they're actually looking to hit, AKA Jason, Lyric or Rome? And number two, can they use this to flip Melody to their side? If the, if the Rome side of the house is trying to. To evict Melody over Rome, Jason or Lyric, then it exposes where Melody is on their. On, on their like, hit list. And, and it gives them some ability to pull her over. Not to mention the fact that Devin's has a reason to put her on the block in the first place. So it's a good spot to be able to turn her. And Drew's gonna start that turning already because he's got some ammunition. That ammunition being, hey, Melody, you know that alliance that you and Lyric really wanted to do with me and Rome that we called the fourth seasons and everything? Yeah. So when I was up in that room, Devin said that Rome exposed the entire thing to him, named it, called out all four of us. Wasn't great. Doesn't. Yeah. Wasn't great that he did that. And Melody's like, oh my God. Like, oh, no, what. What is going on? And basically Drew is just like, so here's the deal. And this is what, quite frankly. Well, I think what he should have been doing for. For a long time, but he's. He's getting to it. I think. I'm loyal to you. I think us together works well. I don't really care which side we end up falling on as long as we're working together. And if we need to abandon ship a little bit here, I think we need to be open to that. And. And Melody is now finally, I think, starting to see that vision. If Rome is being messy and exposing their alliances and Devins is in power and the vets are winning powers and. And Drew is. Has an invite to that group and he's. He's got a plus one. Might be time to take the opportunity to hop on. Hop on board where it's nice and safe and not potentially being voted out this week.
B
These two and their gaming talks, honestly, they scratch an itch for me. There's just like, I wasn't expecting them to be so gaming so gamey together. And I feel like, especially at the beginning in the first cut, like, remember them laying upside down on the couch or whatever the first time that Drew and Melody were possibly forming a little something. But then Drew went around the next day being like, yeah, like, I'm just playing her. This is just like not a real thing. But I can, you know, I can have her. I can. I can get her to do what we want. And, you know, she thinks that I'm with her. But just like, as the days go on, like, I'm wondering how much of him is realizing, no, this actually could be a worthwhile ally for my. Myself to have. And who knows where she ends up getting actually pulled into a part of other things that Drew's pulled into. He better hope that she could get pulled into there because if people remember that Drew said that about her and that ever gets back to her, that could be messy. But for now, yeah, I mean, they. They kind of sit really perfectly in the middle. I don't think that Melody is going to be really anywhere near the biggest targets for this week, even if she stays up on the block, especially with that Drew connection. But all that is to say again, that these two and whenever they get together, I'm always paying attention to what they have to say.
A
Yes, really, My. My biggest concern right now is that, like, Drew does sometimes give me, like, Corey with America when it comes to Melody where, like, he'll be talking to Devin's. And he'll be like, listen, if we need to send Melody out this week, we can totally do that. It's like, nobody's even thinking about doing that. Drew, like, you're the one bringing it up more than anybody. Chill, man.
B
Yeah. Oh, well, look at Drew. Dan Geesling, Corey Wurttenberger, combo. Sign me up.
A
There you go. So Drew, again, is like, we already talked about this. The Drew sort of implies that Angela was running the meeting. So anything else before we get to the. The. The nomination ceremony?
B
I'm ready. I'm ready.
A
Okay. So it was a late nomination ceremony, I think in part because of needing to do the time capsule stuff. But the feeds didn't come back until. Until, like, you know, into, like, the evening and when. And. And. And it was like they were down for, like, two hours, which is a little bit longer than your normal nomination ceremony. I was thinking maybe this is because they're, like, blocking out some of the drama. They do that sometimes. It's like the feeds are down, and then they stay down for a while, and then by the time they come up and it's like, the drama's already happened.
B
And they know we thought that. They know that we were thinking that that's why feeds were still down.
A
But I can tell you that the feeds came back up not well after the drama was finished, though we did miss some of it, of course, but that's only because some of it happened during the ceremony itself, and the feeds came up, like, in media res. Here, things are in motion. Feeds come up. Of course, the nominees are as planned, Jason, Lyric, and Melody. But when they come up, Jason is responding to what we assume is the planned call out from Angela. America, hate me then. Please hate me all the way. I don't even care. Angela says, well, now that everyone knows, I can now not have to deal with this all week. And Devin's is like, well, I just hope I can make it clear that I don't hate any of you and there's nothing personal that happened here. Oh, and, Angela, here's your hat. It's an excellent hat. And with that, this nomination ceremony is adjourned.
B
We got the end of the nomination ceremony. And, like, we have to, like. I know, you know, we want to, like, pick on things that they don't give us, they don't do for us. We have to thank them for this and shout this out, because if we want more, I feel like for me, I'm like, I have to acknowledge. Thank you so much for letting us see that. We would love to see that again ever at all. I could not believe my eyes. I was with you. I think a lot of us were feeling like, oh, they just aren't going to show us. The fallout feeds are going to come back and everyone's just going to be laying in bed. We were at the table. Everyone was at the table. Devin's was standing up with the key box that he had just finished turning to, to show the nominations and we're still in it. And Jason screaming, ah, hate me all the way. I'm a messy. I'm messy. I'm sorry. And just like screaming and Angela's going back and forth with him and. And it was just so deep in it that it just kept going and going and going. And if you weren't sitting there at that moment and you haven't found the clip, go back and find that clip because. Oh, my God.
A
Yeah. And you know, according to Devin's, what we hear from him later is that maybe, maybe part of why it happened this way for the feeds is that Devins was trying to end the meeting multiple times. He was like, and, and with, and with that. Okay. And we just finally caught his like, actual successful attempt at ending the meeting. So Devin's ends the meeting. But, but that doesn't mean that it's over. Haley kind of pipes in with, with Jason saying like, oh, and you said that you were gonna, like, you're so disloyal. You said you were going to take out the people that were working you out. And Jason. Now if you've, if you're a fervent listener of the live feed updates, you know that Jason did say this to Haley, but then told Rome and Lala ahead of time that he said it, saying, this is just me pretending that I'm not with you guys. If you hear about it, don't worry. And so Jason's ready to go. Like, I was lying and they know it already. And you know what, Haley? You're nothing but a chaos demon. And so she's kind of like, whoa. And then Devon goes up and he says, well, Jason, you. You did tell me that you were telling like little white lies to the girls to try to get them to be like a little paranoid. And Jason says, and. And didn't you believe it for two seconds? No, because I'm a messy.
B
Are we allowed to make the thumbnail messy? Is that allowed on YouTube? Because that's. That's the day. This was incredible. I mean, he'. Jason's calling people out by name. You, Angela, Kamu, and Chuck and Haley, you're all acting your butts off right now. And all of you, you were all in on this. And just like the back and forth, it was just this tension that's been boiling up for a couple of days now. Look, only 11 days into the house, but people have been annoyed with Haley, with Angela and Jason, this tension's been boiling up. And so to get to this point where everyone just suddenly has an excuse to let it all out, I mean, my favorite, maybe my favorite part of all of this is my joke that I opened up the podcast with when Dee and Devins upstairs into the room after all is said and done here. And de's like, that was the best day of my life and I won Survivor. Like, they. Dee has been on the challenge. Rick Devins has been part of some of the craziest antics on Survivor in recent memory. And this to them was just like they were watching popcorn tv, but they were in it. And for Devin's, I mean, he had to play a bigger role in it because he was making the nominations and he's trying to end the meeting and he can't. But for D especially, just like every time the camera was on her, she's like, oh, this is fun. I like this.
A
Devin's afterwards is up in the hoh. I'm looking. He's like, she was in an egg coffee the whole time.
B
Like, welcome to. Welcome to big brother. Yes. This is how this works.
A
And it's like, I really do feel like this, this, this game is better for Devin's than. Than you can't get this kind of drama on Survivor that doesn't happen.
B
And he's like, there's a mix here for him of, like, wanting to embrace the chaos as well. Also, like, try to play a good game. Just thinking to, like, before he get. When he gave this speech, there was a part that he was going to put into the speech about how, because Angela had suggested it like, that there's two tribes, like on Survivor or something along those lines. And he didn't end up putting that in the speech because for gameplay, he was like, why would I call attention to that and to ourselves and all of that stuff. So, like, there's certainly a level of gaming. Like, I don't think anyone's denying the fact that he's trying to play smart, but also the fun of this and the chaos that is Rick Devins is certainly seeping in. And he's like, wow, this is cool.
A
Yes. And I was very pleased to hear that Devin said He did not end up saying the tribe part. So. So this. This is not. This is not the end, though. The. The. The drama continues here in the meeting, um, because Rome is now. Now Rome now wants, like, a chance to. To speak and remember, Rome is the guy. He's the lid that is being put on the. Hold on. I. I think I want a chance to talk now. Okay, so. Yes. And so I guess it's important context to remind you that Devin's planned to call Rome out in the ceremony, talking about how Rome only chose to protect Jason and lyrics, leaving everyone else exposed to being nominated. In addition to that, Angela then, as we'll learn, said you served them up their heads on a silver platter. And so Rome says. All right, so first of all, you did. You did your monologue, Angela. Thank you. Now it's my turn. First of all, Batman right there. Devins that there is a good ballplayer. He. I trusted him. I thought we were good. And he used what he said. We used what I said against me. That was well played. And. But. But Angela, I would not say anybody's head was on a platter. And Devin says, yeah, I. That is true. And Rome says, I. What happened was I gave him six names that I wanted to protect, and Devin's made me boil it. Boil it down the list. Down the list to two. And I'm sorry to everyone. That was boiled down out of the list. That was a hundred percent correct. That is a hundred percent correct. And so this is again, like Rome. He's. He's the steady presence. He's got. He's the lid on the kettle, and he's trying to calm this down. Get. Just get the. Get the truth out there as to exactly what happened. And Dev is very happy to say this is exactly what happened. Absolutely nothing personal going on here. And this is going to be. Rome's explanation throughout the day, is that he gave six names, but he then had to boil down the list. And he boiled it down the way he did, and he's sorry that he had to do it that way.
B
Yeah.
A
And so then, you know, the ceremony kind of starts to properly adjourn, and the feeds cut for a second, and then. And then they come back and. And it's. The camera angle's a little off. The. The audio's kind of coming in, and we're hearing that Haley said something to Rome, and then Rome calls her a. And Kamu immediately stands up, gets in his face like, hey, you don't. You don't say that. You don't say that. And Haley says to you, have tiny balls, please. And then Rome says, you're unbearable. You're. You've been unbearable. You are unbearable as a human being. Haley, hold me back.
B
Okay, okay. He sells her. You've been snarky for three straight effing days. I'm tired of your. You're unbearable as a human being. And, yeah, somewhere along the way, the word comes out as well, which is like, he was, like, probably at an okay level before he got to that point, which is really where people start to step in. But, like, first of all, to check Rome here, like, he was like, this was fun at first when he was going back and forth with Angela, back and forth with Haley, but when you are, first of all calling a woman a bitch and then stepping up to the point where people around you feel like they have to stand up and step in front of you when you're having a confrontation with a woman. Not a good look. I just gotta say that. But, like, otherwise, a lot of this was fun drama. It just, like, something within him was, like, really trying to stay composed, and then he couldn't, and then it turned into a little bit of ugliness.
A
Yes. People saying Barrett is the one that said, don't say that. But I do believe it was Kamu that, like, up.
B
Yeah, don't get that loud. Yeah, that. That was again, like, really just boiling over, waiting for some. Someone to say something to Haley because of all of the dislike that's been happening towards her. And people just like, don't. Again, people don't like her. And so nobody has outright said that. And it's like, all right, if we're making loud noises, we're calling people out. Haley last night, of course, had the comment as she was walking past Rome in the kitchen, where she was like, big day tomorrow. And, like, she. She kind of ate with that. And Rome could not stop thinking about that comment. And then so now, again, just. We get to this point, and he's like, enough of your.
A
Yes, all right. The chat's all over the place in terms of. I believe there were at least three people that all stood up to Rome. But in Rome's retelling as well, he mostly mentioned that he felt like it was Kamu that. That stood up to him. Although that could just be because they're the alphas in the house. But. And again, like, the. The camera was not quite on the initial reaction. It later shows Rome more clearly where there are a lot more people around him. So it's all also, like, not, in my opinion, super important. But either way, this happens and, and so that. That goes down and then, you know, things kind of calm down, Haley goes away and. And Jason and Angela, they're not done yet. Like, Jason is still trying to sort of explain what's going on, by the way. Also, like, during all of this, you're hearing just hysterical fobs, like. And you don't even necessarily know who it's coming from at first. And it turns out it's Lala. We'll get to that. In the meantime, Jason is still talking to Angela. He says, listen, I thought. Listen, I just thought I was gonna get one over on the iconic Angela, okay? But I want you to know my feelings were authentic. I just. I thought I was doing something, okay? And I'm sorry, I'm a messy. Angela's. You are a messy.
B
Messy. Don't do that. Messy. That might have been my also favorite line of this entire exchange. Messy. Yeah, a messy. Don't do that. They were just like. Like they had planned a comedy show here, the way that they were going back and forth. And Jason is, like, trying to apologize because he feels caught. He feels like he was caught by Angela having said about him and whatever that, like, he didn't actually mean, and he wanted. Wants her to know that he really did mean some of the things that he said and that he wanted to be friends. And he keeps talking about, you know, if you just don't want to talk to me for the rest of the season, I get it. And she's like, no, that's not.
A
We don't have to work together. You don't have to talk to me for the rest of the game. But. But I do want to talk to you, though. I do want to talk to you. And. And I want to invite that, but I understand that it's going to be awkward now to walk on these eggshells.
B
I mean, how do you not lose it at that moment? He didn't mean to say that was
A
not me laughing at Jason's joke. That was Jason laughing at Jason's joke in the middle of this interaction.
B
Look, sometimes you're in the middle of a heated conversation and you make a funny, and you gotta laugh at your own funny. Who else is gonna laugh? Eggshells. It's. It's great. It's comedy. She's an egg. We're fighting and you're an egg.
A
Yes. So they're continuing to have that interaction, but the feeds are also cutting over to Lala, who is still sobbing. And this is because largely from what she's talking about that she's now heard, and it's been confirmed from Rome that when he had to boil down the list, she was boiled out of the list. And, you know, she, I don't think thought that that would be what would happen, that, you know, he essentially chose both Jason and Lyric over her. She has an alliance with him called Mama's Angels. She thought she was really, really tight with him, and instead she got boiled out of the list. She's talking to multiple people about this, but mostly Taylor. She says she kind of wants to reevaluate who she's playing with at this point. If she wins the veto, she'd probably save Melody over Jason or Lyric. Now, I say all this because, like, oh, look what they did worked. But will this last is going to be a question that I was asking at the time as I was streaming during this. By the way, you can check out the VOD of it on Patreon if you want to see my initial reaction to all of this nonsense. But. But, you know, in addition, over the course of the night, we'll see her interact more with Rome and we'll get the apology and all that stuff. But for right now, it's like, really landing and she's really upset about, you know, the fact that Rome would have left her out of all of this. And. And Taylor's kind of like, well, let's not. Let's hold our horses here. Like, let's not fully, like, jump anywhere. Like, let's. And there are people coming in, like, don't let it. That's what they wanted. Lala, don't let it get to you. And Rome, again, he tries to apologize. At first, he gives her the same explanation of, like, I just had to boil down the list and I'm sorry. I'm sorry that it had to happen that way. But she's not having it yet. She's very, very hurt by this. Angela does talk to her and let her. Lets her know, like, hey, I don't think it was anything personal. It. I just wanted to expose the truth of where people were on the pecking order. Don't worry, I've got you. We can work together moving forward. It was a very good conversation from Angela, who was trying to both emotionally comfort Lala while still driving home the point of the fact that, hey, the truth is you are not high on the list. And, you know, you can be higher on the list, maybe over with me. So that's what's going on with Lala here.
B
For now, I could not believe the amount of Lala crying. It's just like, caught up in all of the insanity of what was going on there. I didn't know why she was crying. Like, when feeds first came back and it like, took going back a couple times, seeing the clips back to be like, wait, what? Oh, okay, yeah, she's upset because of Rome saying all of this, but, like, there was so much Jason and Angela going on at the time that it was hard to keep track of. And so it's like, okay, she's upset about something. 20 minutes later. Oh, she's still. She's still crying. Oh, 30 minutes later, 40 minutes later, she is still crying, like, curled up in bed, losing it. And I mean, I appreciated Taylor was there by her side the entire way through. People were kind of coming in and out and checking on her. But, like, Lala has been a pretty happy person in the house so far. Been there for a lot of people. Obviously hasn't been involved the most with gameplay. So maybe she has already had this bit of insecurity of, like, there's a lot of game happening around me. I don't know how much I'm involved in it, but at least I have my people. But now she feels like she doesn't actually know if she has her people, which is causing this breakdown. But I've just, like, I can't emphasize enough, if you didn't watch it, how deeply this affected her and how the sobbing, it wasn't just like, oh, I'm upset. Let me just go, like, sit in the corner for a little bit and be upset about it. Sobbing. They called her into the doctor. I almost thought that maybe somebody was going to be checking on her. More likely they just wanted to get a good confessional out of her before. We kept moving along, but then she comes right back into bed and she's still crying. And it took eventually, like, I was like, is Rome gonna go talk to her, like, even more. But it took until, like, she ends up going to the bathroom at one point and runs into him for them to have a further conversation. It just. It went on so much longer than I would have expected.
A
From when the feeds came back from the nomination ceremony to when they went to bed, I would say, like, at least two thirds straight up were there was at least one person sobbing in on the feed. And the rest of the. The rest of the third people were just regular crying. Like it was non. Like it was Lala at first. It eventually becomes other people. We'll get there. But, like, it is. There's a lot of sobbing going on, a lot of crying, a lot of it. It's, you know, it's. It's. It's. It's giving. Cappy is on death Row. Like, it's. It's a lot. So while this is all happening, of course Melody, our resident gamer squirrel, is upstairs, was talking to Devin's, and she is like, a mile a minute right now. Like, what happened was, like, Devin's really. I mean, I think that, you know, in the HOH competition, it wasn't that I didn't want to compete with you. It's that, like, you know, I just felt like, oh, because of the situation, that I wanted to go over there and talk to. To Drew, and then it wasn't that I wanted to eliminate you. You know, it's not any of that. And it's basically what happened also was like, the. The Mallory situation. And, you know, what's happening with Rome that, like, I've never even. I. I think, like, I trusted. I feel I've been trusting the wrong people. I honestly, I don't even. I just. I. I feel like I've been. I don't really have anyone. And, you know, I. I just feel like I. I, like, we need to. And she's. She's like, just, you know, in scramble mode. She, you know, she's on the block. She's. She's. She's in some trouble, and she's very much willing to jump ship. And she's basically, like, implying this to Devin's, who is. Is very pleased to hear that she's willing to jump ship. And he's like, I think we can make something work here, which makes a lot of sense. Like, you know, for as much as the Melody on the block situation could cause another rift in the house if she ends up staying on the block, because they might need to expose themselves with the vote. The. The people who would be doing the exposing don't actually need to expose themselves that much because Drew and Barrett are the most undercover people, and Drew and Barrett are both probably closer to Melody than they are Lyric, Jason, or Rome. And so they have a great excuse to want to vote to keep Melody in the game. And Melody's one of the few people that would even be upset with the split in the first place. So they should be able to keep Melody, pull her to their side while the other side tries to get her out and take out one of Jason, Rome or Lyric. It should be able to happen that way. Of course, there is the scenario where Rome Wins the veto, uses it on Lyric, Jason wins the blockbuster. And then it's like, oh, are we taking out Lala now? Like, that is the danger situation here. Of course, who gets drawn for the veto is going to be very important as that is taking place this morning. But. But Melody, yes, she's ready. She's gaming. She's happy to jump ship again if it means that she needs. Needs to. That she can survive this week.
B
I think I might be a Melody, Stan. I wouldn't have ever seen that coming. Just coming into the season. She's like, oh, I'm a. I'm a game show host. I'm like, are you sure? Like, just like, we weren't getting that, like, fun, bubbly personality. I feel like right off the bat and she comes in and she's. It's funny that her first confessional was all about Drew and how he's annoying, but, yeah, the. The connection here, truly, I feel like, is going to do her wonders. You said who's going to go home at all of those scenarios where other people come off the block. I do think that Lala could be in danger at that point or if a Taylor or A ends up instead and it's just like, all right, let's just get them instead. Like Drew and Barrett, I feel like especially Drew at this point have every reason to advocate that Melody shouldn't go, even though she's one of the littles. But Mallory could also end up on the block. I would imagine it's just a possibility. So Melody and all of this gaming, especially not just going to Drew, but talking to Devin's and making him feel like she wants to work with him. You know, she's. She's doing the work. She's. Every single day she's waking up, she's having the conversations that she needs to be having. And especially I feel like to take it back to the. The nomination ceremony, Melody and Lyric were kind of pulled aside by Drew after all of that chaos, and they kind of checked in with each other to say we have to keep calm and cool right now, because that's a lot. And if we can just not be in on all of that, that's great for us. And I feel like that's the mentality that she's got throughout the day and it's. It's great.
A
There's very much a sense that, especially from Melody. But even players like Mallory and sometimes lyrics that, like, Jason did a lot, he kind of, like, he kind of did this to himself. And Rome also kind of stepped in it on himself like by like, like there's this sense that they did something to deserve this position that they're in and that there are messy players. Similarly to like the, the Mallory situation the week before. Like ah, maybe we need to distance ourselves a little bit and Lyric I think definitely feels that but would, but feels guilty about doing it and we'll talk about that later. Melody definitely feels that and does not feel guilty about doing it. But yeah, I'm with you. I was, I was watching Melody talk to Devins and I don't, I didn't think that like her rapid fire approach was the most effective approach but I was like, you know what I really appreciate Melody's just the right amount of like hardcore gamer but still pretty messy, like making some messy decisions but just like doing her best to like get in there and play. So I, I, I'm enjoying her at the, at the moment.
B
Yep.
A
So, so yes, all of this is happening and the, the chaos continues to ensue. Yash, as I said, continuing to play both sides, Rome continuing to go and do his apology tour that I had to boil down the list. It's all that happened. I need to boil down the list and you know, congrats to Devin's. He, he played it well. He played it well. He talks to Kamu, they have their alpha talk where he's just like, like what can we do? You know, listen, I respect it, I respect Devin's, I respect you. Uh, you know, it is what it is. Uh, he, he got me, he tricked me and he's again, he's just like keeping, keeping the lid on until it kind of starts to collapse and he, he kind of like goes to the have not room and just kind of starts to break down a little bit.
B
I feel like I wasn't expecting the day to go like we're at this point in the update and in the day. I genuinely feel like we're about to open an entire new chapter of the day and I didn't see that coming. It was just like, oh, they're laying on the have not bed. They're all talking Jason and Rome, they're really there for each other and they real. Jason really has needed Rome and his support throughout the week. But like, just like as it started building again, I just was not expecting this to like turn into something which we're about to talk about. But it was just like because at first it's just like, you know, lyric, you know, I, I, I, I just, I think you're so great and I Can see us having a life outside here. And oh, I. What that's all going on, but like the shift in Rome throughout the day. And maybe it is again, just the lack of sleep that's really just causing his brain to be malfunctioning. I don't know. There's something going on in there that he's either trying to figure out how to play all of his other conversations with everybody else in the house, or he's overtired and he lost it by the end of the night. Because that's what we're up to.
A
I mean, like, he's. I. I think he's doing his best to maintain the Persona of Rome, the alpha. And at some point it just breaks and he just full on doesn't know how to handle it. And so he's like, fully just reverts. And he's like, like Lyric is laying. He's like, lyric, I think you might need to pretend to break up with me. I said, not for real. Not for real, but you might need to distance yourself from me. She's like, no, no, I wouldn't do that, honey. I wouldn't do that. And he's like, I don't know. And. But then she does go and talk to Kamu, and she's. I don't want to go down with the Rome ship. Like, like, you know, like, she is starting to. To sort of make those plays with Kamu. Important to remember. Camus has had many conversations with Lyric, and they've talked about personal stuff, almost entirely personal stuff. They've talked about, you know, how she's from Hawaii, she loves people, she dates people from Hawaii, he's from Hawaii. And Rome has been like, I think there's a conspiracy to make us jealous by flirting. Kamu flirting with. With Lyric, and Haley flirting with me. And so there's a little bit of something here. And so the fact that it's Kamu she goes to. To talk about, you know, doubts about her relationship with Rome is like, pretty pointed. And it's pretty pointed directed by Rome. Like, just don't kiss him.
B
That's the thing. I mean, I kind of think she wants to. I. Like, there's. There's been tension, right, between Rome and Camus. It's been. Not, like super are out there in the house, but like, both of them in conversations with other people will talk about the other of, like, we know that this is gonna happen at some point. We know that we're gonna get there. It's like, unspoken. And so now that, like, I don't I don't know what's going on. I don't know what's in the air. I don't know what's shifting. But like, Lyric walks into the bathroom while Kamu is showering and she just like sits outside the shower and she's just like talking to him and talking to him and not leaving the room. Room and not leaving the room and not leaving the room while she's. Yeah, oh, yeah, you know, Roma's fine. He's good. He's good. But anyway, so. Yeah, but anyway. And she's not leaving. And I'm like, huh. I don't know why, but I kind of feel like if Rome walked into the bathroom right now and saw Lyric just talking to Kamu in this way, he's showering, she's just kind of like there looking at him, talking to him, I don't think Rome would be happy. And then Rome walks in and he doesn't like make a big deal or anything. He just kind of like surveys the room, looks at the situation, kind of walks back out. But I was like, that's not what he wanted to see.
A
There's even more context to this that I think is even funnier. But. But we'll. We'll get there in a moment. But yes, that, that's. That's happening. She. She has the conversation with him in the shower and people are asking like, so the breakup is. Is like, is fake? Yes, it was sort of suggested by Rome. Lyric was like, no, she's still with Rome. But also as she's going through the motions of doing sort of what was suggested, I think there is something that feels like a little bit true in it, but I don't think she's actually breaking up with Rome in any serious capacity at this point. Although again, as we get further in the night, we'll see how things look.
B
I have never been a 25 year old woman that has known a man for 11 days that is now telling me that he loves me and would like to possibly marry me and see life outside of here. I mean, we've seen couples move fast in the house.
A
We watched Sincere.
B
We watched Sincere. We watched Bailey and Swaggy fall in love. In their short time, that turned into the real thing. We've seen similar things before. Rome is love bombing her bad. He is all in. And like, you see the two of them talking and like, she's like, I feel like at first she might have said it back or something like, like they very much.
A
This was a mutual telling each other they love each other very much. And they've both talked about like life on the outside, like I would say it would. It's been a pretty mutual thing to
B
this, to this point. And it's starting to feel like it's scaring her. That's just the sense that I'm getting. I don't know where everybody else is at, but it's starting to feel like maybe it's a little too much. And the more he says the L word or the more he talks about it, just like the more. Plus obviously there's game implications of their relationship right now that are really affecting things for both of them. And I think she's just like really thinking heavily about all of this and she just like runs away to the bathroom and hey, there's another good looking man in the shower there. And it's like, let me just talk to you instead. It's. I don't know. I don't know. I don't know.
A
I mean, if, if we want to get into theory, I, I feel like the idea that Rome has screwed up and that Rome is now a social outcast instead of the president of the house and that he is now crying and we're about to get into sobbing and like completely broken. A different kind of dude all of a sudden might, might have triggered something in her that's like, oh wait, hold on. It's been 11 days. I don't really know this man. And, and so you know, that could be something that's happening here. I think for sure.
B
I don't know this man. And I think he requested marriage licenses in room already is kind of what it seems like.
A
It kind of like it gave her like a brief flash of reality. Like all of a sudden we're not just in like fantasy land where everything's great and amazing and here's this good looking guy. It's like, wait a minute, this is now real. And this is a real human being with real emotions and where there's a, like a real situation. We're talking about stuff outside the house and all of a sudden I'm like a little bit less sure about the situation. Meanwhile, Rome is still like, like, I still want to marry you. And it's like, whoa, hold on now I'm starting to see the light. But again, this is all kind of speculation at this point. I would say Rome, he does that. And they do have a conversation about navigating the difficulties of the relationship through all of this. And that's sort of where this speculation is coming from. But Rome is now you know, he was already sad and I think that his conversations with Lyric about all of this stuff make him even more sad. And he is now starting to get very upset. And he's. He's in the. The pod room where. And it's. And it's him and it's Lala and it's Yash and Rome. Just, he's. I mean, at various points he's in the shower sort of like, uh, people describing. Just barking.
B
Well, that was a different level of emotion. He was getting amped up in the shower. Like, people don't. You're not gonna come after my people and get away with it. And just like firing himself up. Like he was about to go, like, out for a big game or something. He's in the locker room and then, yeah, he barked. I heard it.
A
Yeah. And. But then he's. He's in the. He's in the pod room with Lala and he's just like, I just, I tried so hard. It hurts her.
B
Killed me. It just killed me so bad.
A
It just killed me. And I was like, I. I know, I know, I know, I know, I know, I know, I know, I know, I know. I just wanted to protect everyone. I just. I just wanted to protect you all. I know, I know, I know, I know, I know. You just need to buck up. You just need to buck up. Okay. You need to buck up. Ye know, I just don't want everyone to be disappointed in me. You're gonna, you're gonna win the veto. You're gonna win the veto. It's okay. Okay. You got, you're gonna put in everything you got. All right? It's. I love you. I love you, Rome. I love you so much. And I want to make this clear because the camera's focused in on Rome and la. And then the camera kind of drifts and there's a hand on Rome's knee. There's a hand on Rome's knee. And, and. And then the camera just kind of follows up the hand and there's Yash kind of just watching them like. Yep, yep, yep, yep. You. You got it? Yeah, yeah. Okay. And. And Matt, I. I was brought back to my Love island days. I was brought back immediately to Bryce in the paradise code.
B
Okay.
A
That Yash is just like a third who did not get the invite here, who is trying to like. I, I'm also comforting you here.
B
It feels like a different vibe than what's happening in this room, but I see where you're going with it. Yeah. Yash. Well, to be fair, To Yash, him and Rome were just talking before Lala came in. And Rome could have easily let this cry fest out on Yash, but I guess Lala is a little bit more of like that motherly figure and Rome just let his guard down. Now there's levels to this, layers to this, I should say. Where earlier in the day Lala was hysterical crying of her own because of Rome, because of feeling betrayed by Rome. And now it's just totally reversed where not because Rome's not crying because of Lala, but like he's just like letting it all out. And now Lala, who has obviously recovered since her sobbing earlier in the day, is now comforting him. And I'm just like, I don't know how much of this from Rome, I don't know exactly what your read on it was. Was him trying to pretend that the breakup happened, was him just talking about the game because, like, in a world where he was just going all in on we broke up. And that's why I'm upset. If she finds out that that breakup's not real, they were cuddling back together in the have not room later in the day, then she's going to lose it and she should, because. What do you mean? Like, this man is insane if that is what he was actually upset about. I don't know if you heard any of what the conversation was. It sounds like you got some more of the transcript than I did because it was just the two of their M phones pressed up against each other.
A
Pretty hard to hear.
B
I'm like, what? When Julie said, don't worry, they whisper, we have subtitles. She did. She also must have meant, you know, sometimes they're like crying into each other's faces. And so the microphones aren't going to pick anything up, so I couldn't hear anything besides the loud sop.
A
I just, I just want to continue to paint this picture because this happens, you know, Yash, eventually, like, yo, bro, like I. I got you, you know. Lala gives him her final like, buck up, up, you know, you got it, you got this. And. And Rome stumbles out of the room, tears streaming down his face. And he walks through the kitchen and he walks into the bathroom, stumbling into the lyric and Kamu conversation in the bathroom where she's talking about him to Kamu in the shower. She turns her head, sees him coming in with tears streaming down his face. He sees her, sees Kamu, goes to the sink, not a word spoken between any of them, does his thing at the sink, looks back at them Leaves the room very awkward.
B
Very. I mean, look, at the end of the day, this didn't like, you know, this didn't cause a fight or anything like that. By the end of the day, they're. They're in the have not room still cuddling up, you know, and whatever. But that's not what he wanted to see. You know, he's. He specifically was joking, half joking about, you know, just don't kiss him. She's staring at him in the shower and they're not really talking about much,
A
so there's a lot. And. And this is not even the end because he's gonna go up and he's gonna talk to Devins and he's gonna cry to Devin's and. And they, like, continue to have their. Like, hey, I was being honest about what happened. It's nothing personal, so on and so forth. And he goes back down and he's in the hot tub room and he's surrounded by, like, Drew and Lyric and Melody and all of them, and he's sobbing again into Lala's arms in front of all. All just like, it's okay. It's okay. And it's just. It's like, it's so much. It's a. It's a lot of. Of of crying, you know, like, it's. It's so funny to me that. That just a week ago, Melody saw Mallory crying a bit after being nominated and was like, she's. She can't handle it because the amount of crying that happened y was far greater throughout the day from multiple people. But. But yeah, it very much just, like, continues to. To go. And. And so there's been a lot of talk of, like. Like, how much of this was real, like, how much of the breakup was real, how much of the emotion was real. And I'm. I'm willing to bet maybe not a lot, but there's a good chance that, like, Rome will be in the diary room. Like, yeah, I was playing it up. I was playing it up because that's what Alphas do, you know? And to some degree, I'm sure that is probably true. Just on the pacing of it. Like. Like, he would, like, walk into rooms and then it would start and then he'd walk into another room and start again, which feels like he wanted to be crying in front of people. That doesn't mean, of course, that it wasn't also real in the sense that, like, yeah, of course he feels terrible right now. I think the whole ide of, like, fake crying in general is such a Strange concept to even talk about. Like, if we do, if we go back to the Jason and Angela thing, as he tells her, like, the emotions were real. And I don't doubt that, Like, I don't doubt that Jason's emotions were real in the same way that I don't doubt that Rome's emotions are real right now either. It's just a matter of, like, how much of what you're performing to other people is sort of like, held back or given out or, or exaggerated or not. And so, so it's honestly not even that interesting a conversation to me about, like, how real was it? Obviously he felt terrible in terms of like, his positioning in the game and the relationship with Lyric and he thought things were going great and then they weren't and now he feels bad. He clearly, I would say, decided to show how terrible he felt to other people. That I feel is clear here. He could have stayed in the have not room crying to himself. He decided to kind of walk around the house and cry with other people. And that's what's, I think, more interesting to me in terms of how he decided to play this. And for what it's worth, with Lala, it seems like it's helped repair their relationship because he expressed genuine remorse, at least for now. We'll see what Lala really thinks today. And, and I'm not entirely sure how the rest of the house is really going to feel about it it until we get, I think some more like, things will like, settle down a bit more today because I want to, I want to like, express here. That's. That's it for the day. Like, it's just crying tours all around. Devin said, like, I'm not going to go hide in the hoh room. I'm happy to make this move and like, let it blow up. And he did. He stood there for a while and then eventually was like, I guess I'll just go up now and then spent the rest of the day up there because it was just awkward everywhere. And no, like, like the, the rest of the, the tool shed pretty much just kind of took the rest of the day off, like, talking with each other, celebrating the, the move and talking about the next steps and, and Drew was really the only one who seriously got in the mix of things to like, be in with everyone and be like, oh, man, yeah, this sucks so much. And so, so there really was. Wasn't much else that went down throughout the day and, and you know, now we're just waiting for veto draw veto competition and we'll see if that shifts things moving forward.
B
I'm happy to have Rome as a little bit of the term chaos demon or chaos agent or is really going around because there's a handful of people that are, I think, fitting that category in the house. And Rome is certainly introducing himself as a third wild card possible chaos demon, depending on his mood and how he's wanting to approach things. You obviously have Ang, Angela, and you obviously have Jason that at a moment's notice, we could be crying, we could be yelling, we could be this, we could be that. And so a very fun day with the two of them having a lot of those interactions together versus each other coming. You know, all that. But the Rome element and all of this is interesting. And obviously we're also at a point where nominations. There's not much to do until the veto is played. And once we actually know will Rome be on the block for the rest of the week, we will really see how he's going to handle this going forward if he's going to, you know, especially if him and Lyric are up there together. So we have to just see what happens with veto at this point.
A
Yes, I did. I did get a text from Chappelle that he really wants me to play the clip of Rome barking. I did not have time to prep that this morning, but if the chat. If anyone wants to send me. If anybody has the clip of it, you want to send me it on. On Twitter or. Or Blue sky, you can do. So I can try to play it for you all. All here before it was.
B
It was a quick bark. I mean, I, I only heard about it because I saw Chappelle talking about it. And so I was like, I gotta go back and find this. And I couldn't see the clips right away, but eventually, somewhere it was out there. And so it was. It was a very quick bark.
A
Yeah, so we'll try to get that in for Chappelle, but. But, yeah, that's. That's about where we stand here for the day. As. As I said again, the. The biggest. The biggest thing here is Rome getting picked for the veto. Rome will obviously be picked by Lyric if she has a choice. I would have to imagine. I think Jason would also probably pick Rome for the veto. And then he has, as you know, then the other two might just accidentally pick him. So odds are. I don't. I didn't calculate the odds. The odds are higher than, like, what you might, like, normally anticipate, but not amazing. And if Rome is not picked for the veto, then we've basically locked in the fact that one of Rome, Lyric or Jason is almost definitely leaving. There was a, A. A small pitch idea thrown out there, tossed out there by j. By Kamu. What if we get rid of Lyric instead of Rome at this point? Because, you know, Rome and. And Jason or, Or at least Lyric instead of Jason if Rome is off the table? Because Jason and Rome have both put huge targets on their backs. And this is actually worth bringing up because Haley and Chuck talked about this a little bit. Bit. They're a little bit concerned about Kamu's relationship with Rome. The fact that they were talking after all of this went down and they respect each other as kind of alphas is like, a little concerning to them. So the fact that he's kind of pitching this is probably another angle of that. But it didn't really go anywhere. For now. The idea is still very much like, no, Rome definitely has to go here. So keep, Keep, keep that in mind.
B
Keeping that in mind. And can I derail us for a second? Should we. Instead of, you know, feeds are going to be down today for the veto, should we all just buy some tickets and go to a baseball game? You think maybe, like a Major League baseball game could be, uh, fun for us to do today?
A
Yeah, I guess. If you haven't seen this, uh, it's been. It's been a bit of a thing for the season so far that the official MLB Twitter account, Major League Baseball, has been tweeting about Big Brother on occasion. It happened, like, in the preseason as well, where, like, they tweeted about Angela.
B
I can't wait to see what returning players are going to be there. Tomorrow is the day that we find out if Angela Murray is on Big Brother.
A
Yeah. Yeah. And so, and it's so funny because if you go to the page, it's just like a bunch of what you would expect from the official mlb the Twitter page. It's a bunch of tweets about baseball and then occasionally just a random tweet that looks like it could be from any random account for Big Brother at last night, being how I'm going to be watching Taron Armstrong's live feed update after everything that went down tonight with a gif of like, a. A child in a ba. In the baseball stands, like, like just chugging popcorn. So, so that's.
B
I mean, look, I'm not Taryn, but, hey, I like baseball. I've been to a game or two.
A
You know what? I. I was a kid. I was into baseball actually, a lot.
B
Now I'm So back into baseball.
A
Oh, so into baseball.
B
Yeah. Anytime we're not watching live feeds, we are gonna be at the ballpark. So, you know, shout out to the admin over there.
A
So, yeah, very, very fun, very fun stuff. It. It looks like I've not been sent any clips, so I don't think anybody had the clip. It looks like other people also had. It's gonna take a little bit longer, so maybe, maybe on a future podcast we can play the bark.
B
You're gonna sign up to be a Rob as a podcast patron and Chappelle will recreate the bar. Embark. This week on the slop is actually what I heard. So.
A
All right. Anything else, Matt from yesterday?
B
It was just an all timer. It was a fun day. The Sunday episode is going to be a lot of fun, assuming they capture it all, which no reason to believe why they won't. We were able to see it on feeds again. Thank you so much to production for allowing that last couple of minutes to make its way in. Let's please run it back sometime this time next week. Let's do it again. But it was, it was a really crazy day. Combined with the night before, it's just getting crazier. So if the rest of the week can maintain this level, please. If the rest of the season can maintain this level, please. But yeah, we're having fun.
A
Phenomenal stuff. I mean, from Thursday night into what went down Friday, you don't always get reactions like that to like, usually like you got the plan for the nominations, which is fun. And then the nominations go down and, and especially when the reaction is often just like sadness, madness. It's like that kind of just like puts a damper on it. But it was, it was very fun stuff. The fact that, and I think the key to it all is that the feeds came back so quickly. We were able to see the, a good. The, the meat of it here. Devin's is super pumped about it. They're all super happy again. I was so getting into the, the plugs here. I was live on Patreon. I'm going to be doing regular live feed streams over on Patreon. I was live in preparation for the feeds coming back and so I was. It immediately just popped up again. I posted the, the video of it if you want to check it out. It was a very fun time for everyone as we watched all this chaos unfold live. So check out that Patreon. Uh, I've got other stuff going on over there as well if you want to understand all my Love island references. Because I watched through that on my Patreon. And of course, I'll be back tomorrow morning, 11am Eastern update. And everything that happens today on The Big Brother 28 live feeds and tomorrow nights an episode, I'll be streaming that on Patreon as well as doing a recap here on Rob has a podcast. And if you want to hear Chappelle's take on the bark, of course the slop is gonna come up early in the week for the Rob podcast. Patreon, Matt, what do you got going on?
B
I got a lot, but I'll try to make it quick. Check out Dancing with the Stars, the next pro. If you're a fan of Dancing with the Stars, Sasha and I are back covering that here on Rob as a podcast. We know dancingwithstars.com for all of that throughout the entire summer going into the fall Dancing with the Stars season. So it's been fun, fun first episode. So check that recap out and all of the ones we have coming up. Check out the Diary Room podcast with myself. And we have been having so much fun trying to find the best Big Brother player of all time, especially fun in the off season of Big Brother, that we're keeping a weekly podcast going, talking all things BB Coming up, we're on a little bit of a break right now to let us get into the big brother 28 of it all. But the next episode that we do will be the Ashley Big Brother 28 qualifier. Will she qualify to get into round two of the competition? Because everybody else made it through round one. So we got to get give these these newbies a little bit of a harder path to get there. So that'll be coming up when we're back from our break at the Diary Room, the Free Agents podcast. Myself and Scally are talking all things the Challenge all the time. But the new season of the Challenge is coming up right around the corner, Cutthroat two, even though they're calling it Cutthroat one or just Cutthroat. So that's coming up in a couple of weeks. We'll be talking all things the Challenge over there. Plus we talk some Drag Race and Big Brother and Bravo over there. And I'm also talking with Mary and AJ about some of our favorite TV shows from childhood on the Free Agents Millennial TV feed. So a lot of stuff happening there. But yeah, Taran would love to hopefully see you watching the Challenge again since we're back to a Cutthroat season. So we'll see how that goes.
A
There you go. All right. Well, that's what we have for you today. Thank you all so much for joining us. I hope you are all enjoying the updates and the season so far. We're all having a good time. I'll see you next time.
Hosts: Taran Armstrong & Matt
Episode Date: July 18, 2026
Main Focus: Day 11 in the Big Brother 28 House - strategy, blowups, alliances, backdoor plans, tears, and all the drama after a wild night and huge nominations.
This episode covers the chaos of Day 11 in the BB28 house, in the immediate aftermath of the Tool Shed alliance forming and dramatic nomination plans. Taran and Matt recap a day full of arguments, apologies, crying, and game-shifting maneuvers, particularly centered around backdooring Rome and the fallout after the nominations. The episode is rich in emotional moments and fast-paced, strategic discussions, topped off by the comical “egg costume” twist.
The episode is both analytical and irreverently humorous, matching the energy of an explosive Big Brother weekend: quick banter, running in-jokes, and an emphasis on the entertainment as well as the strategy of BB28. Taran and Matt riff off each other about the messiness, with Taran breaking into laughter over the absurdity (“She was in an egg costume the whole time”) and Matt dramatizing the momentous “crying tours.”
