Rob said that he could do it tomorrow. He will do it again. Hello everyone and good morning. Welcome to our live feed update for July 23rd. I'm your host D. Armstrong and I'm here today to update you on everything that happened yesterday. The big brother 28 live feeds. It was day 16 in the house and we had some last minute campaigning as we should on a Wednesday. We had some shenanigans going on and, and most of all, I think as we prep for the upcoming HOH competition and new person in power, we are seeing new alliances continue to kind of evolve and deteriorate here on the feeds and with me to talk through all of it, Jacob Jones. How you doing, Jacob?
Jacob
Taryn. I am doing very good. I'm excited to be here. My first live feed update of the season and I didn't do any last season so this is my first live feed update. I don't think I did. No, because I wasn't, I wasn't waking up that early then. So this is my first live feed update in like two seasons and I feel like I am being back into the womb, birthed out again. So I'm excited to be here and this season has kind of got me, it got me that little tick, tick, boom that I've been missing in prior seasons that I'm excited to talk about, engage with, and yeah, yes.
Taryn
Jacob, I always think of you as a lover of love. There's many potential showmances, marriages going on in this house. Do you have. Do you. Are you attached to any?
Jacob
Okay, Tar, I'm gonna be quite real with you. Hell no, I'm not attached to any. But I'm also. I've been adamant on if I'm in the big brother house, if I'm not getting. No. No one is getting any. Rome and Lyric, I think they are cute, and I really think they like each other. But at certain points, it gets, like, weird. Like, Lyric hands are on some other people's leg. Like, challenger type. Rome is like, yeah, like, the love word came a little bit too early for my liking. But, you know, if their feelings are like that, that early, go on for it. They're out. But I think. I do think their makeouts are pretty hot, to be honest. Like the 8am I think that is, like, kind of, like, kind of sexy for a morning tease. 8:00am Baron, indeed. The no man that one wants to be. I don't know. They're. They're. They're a no go at all, somewhat like Haley and Kamu and then D's at Kamu's cute, but I'm not into him, so that could be the lady man. So we could be all over the place. But I'm not. I'm not standing any showmans at this point. No.
Taryn
All right. There we go. All right, so let's talk about what happened throughout the day here. Of course, Devins is the hoh he nominated initially. Lyric, Melody, and Jason then won the veto, used the veto on Lyric, nominated Rome in Lyric's place. The vote as of the morning that we are talking about stood where Rome will be evicted in the event that he remains on the block, and Jason will be evicted in the event that Rome comes off of the block. Will that change? Let's find out. Devins has a conversation with Angela early in the morning. Angela is still just struggling in her, you know, egg costume, And they finally are going to exchange some information about the various side alliances that are going on here. Angela with the honor society, which is Angela, D, Lala and Taylor, which is a whole bunch of mess, but because Angela has already told Haley about it, and Haley is. Doesn't like it because she doesn't like Lala and has been talking about wanting to target Lala for days. And then after days of talking to Angela about wanting to target Lala, Angela was like, so I made an alliance
Jacob
with Lala and Haley, she's not good at hiding any emotion at all. So like, you can definitely see the annoyance, frustration and WTF moments that hit her face immediately when Angela said that to her. But yeah, she doesn't like her. And Taryn, she also, I like, I don't think this is a stretch. She also doesn't like Taylor that much.
Taryn
No, no, I don't think she does.
Jacob
Yeah. And so it's. And yesterday it was different moments, but she also wasn't in a good mood yesterday, but it was different moments that she was like, you know, I'm not partaking in it. I hope they don't bring that to me. Or oh, she's screaming yesterday for attention, certain things like that. So I really want to understand what her stick is about them.
Taryn
Yes. And, and so she's, she doesn't like the, the, the alliance. Haley and Angela recognizes this. And so her and d. Have com considered the idea of like, well, should we then like, should we try to bring Haley in on it? Because she, that's like, obviously, you know, if it's like, if she's going to be like this, we can't convince her to take out Lala or to not take out Lala. Maybe if we bring Haley in, maybe that would work. And it's just like, you guys are, you guys are really over complicating this. Like, it's really. You really shouldn't have even told her in the first place. But in return, of course, Devin is going to tell Angela about the side alliance that him, Drew and Barrett have with Yash, which has been dubbed the Dapper Dan because they, they dab up.
Jacob
Do you know what the actual, like, it was a person in New York that was named Dapper Dan.
Taryn
Oh, no, I don't know about this.
Jacob
I believe so. Hopefully I'm not wrong, but I believe he was a black slender guy that always dressed like, very dapper. Am I, am I lying or this isn't one of those things. What are those things that you misremember? And then when you look back, you're like, wait, that looked like that when I was younger. Like the fruit of the loom symbol. What are those called?
Taryn
The Mandela effect.
Jacob
The Mandela effect. I thought it was a black slender man that used to wear American fashion
Taryn
design Diner in New York. Nailed it.
Jacob
All right, I'm 100% accurate. But. And so the day was just like, let's dap up dapper day. I guess. But I also, everyone, especially the vets to each other are being so open about who they're working with, I want to say. So trust can just be built within that realm. But then, as we will see later on in conversations, Angela kind of gets nervous that, like, hey, we have too many side alliances happening right now, and everyone can kind of dip into these little pockets. And I believe she showed a little area of insecurity with having that many side alliances outside of the core alliances that they have established.
Taryn
100. And she even tells this to Devin. She's like. She's concerned. But what I will say is that she. She said it in a way that was a little. A little forecasting of doom here. She was like, oh, there's so many overlapping alliances. I just. I mean, somebody's gonna be bound to be a pawn at some point. And in my opinion, that was, you know, just trying to. To grease the wheels for Drew to be used as a pawn if she wins. Hoh. And, yeah, I mean, this is getting messy. And the main thing is, I talk about this a lot, that, you know, you can have a secret alliance. It's great, but. But it's tough to maintain those connections. And the crossovers became the tool shed, and the crossovers haven't come together as the crossovers in a while now, and that's really starting to show as they drift off into their side alliances. You know, oddly enough, I do think that Drew and Barrett are still super locked into the crossovers, but the vets don't really feel that. Not only do they not feel that Drew and Barrett are locked in, I think they themselves don't feel locked in. They themselves are feeling like they want to go explore these other areas, like they're in Casa Amore, and. And meanwhile, Drew and Barrett are like. They're. They're. You know, they've got people who showed up for them, but they're not really. They're not actually exploring. They're just, like. They're just doing what they need to, and they'll be standing there when they finally come back together, and. And they'll be left at the altar here. So, you know, this is. This is the main thing worth talking about here, because it's all completely unnecessary. Like, they have a. They have such a strong grasp on this game, but the paranoia about Drew and. And now, as we'll talk about becoming to be Barrett as well is. Is really starting to cause them to fracture things in a way that. That they don't need to And. And get really messy with all of this. Like. Well, we've Got, you know, lala and Taylor. But we kept Melody on the block because we wanted to punish Drew. But now they want to take out Melody and we need to cover ourselves with them because we left her on the block. And then also we're trying to work Haley as a backup and we're telling Haley about how we don't trust Drew and Barrett. But. But that's okay because we're going to bring Haley in on the lala and Taylor only they don't really want that because that's a fake thing for them. And it's just, it's. Take a breath. It's going to be okay. You're crushing right now. You don't need to be doing all this.
Jacob
It's kind of like when things are too good, you question yourself. Is it really that good? But yes, it actually can be that good with good players in a good insulated environment. Especially week one. Angela kept saying, I feel so good with this group. I feel so good that y' all can be doing yalls different things and I could be doing my thing and I still have trust here. But that did leave once they stopped reconnecting. And a area of my mind every time I see interaction with Drew when he comes in with Devin, if Angela is there, I feel like when Drew comes in, the question is always, oh, Drew, do you have anything to tell us? What have they been talking about? What? I feel like that's the only point that Angela wants. Hey, if you don't bring me information about you, I'm doubting you. If. And I feel like the same with Barrett a little bit. Right?
Taryn
Yeah, yeah. And it's like, you know, we talked about this at first, like, oh, they don't talk. They don't like hang out enough with them. They don't like talk personal enough with them. But the problem is it's now gotten to the point where if they bring them information, they don't like the information and they don't like that they came up to them. If they try to talk personal with them, they get annoyed. Like, oh my God, Drew is just always having to talk to us. Why do you always have to talk to us, Drew? Oh my God. Why is Barrett approaching us again? Because they don't trust them and therefore their presence, their very presence, is annoying to them, which again is just further self fulfilling prophecy as they continue to give Drew and Barrett nothing. They are so lucky that Drew and Barrett are completely oblivious to this because they've been, they've been pretty obvious about it so far and they've been way loose lipped about it. Again, they really only have themselves to blame. If Drew and Barrett eventually do turn on them, it quite frankly should have happened already. And, you know, we'll. We'll see where it goes.
Jacob
I also like the friendship that Drew and Barrett have because they can be totally honest with each other even in their bigging up each other. Hey, I think you are acting like Dr. Will. I think you have, you know, maneuvering this game so successfully. I would love to even lose to you in the final two. And I also believe not in this alliance, but they also have a good foresight on how some people view them as rats, as people who are in the middle. So their perception of themselves not necessarily talking about in this alliance, but their perception of themselves in the bigger game sense, I think is accurate. I just wish honestly, I don't know what they could do more, to be honest, like Drew and bear with the ladies. I think with Devin, they have a good thing going. But even though Devin's is so can be easily swayed, I just think I don't know what more he can do, what more they can do for Angela. Like, if you don't. If I ask you, hey, Angela, what. What's you and Chuck, what would y' all be getting up to this weekend? Oh, we'll be going to the mall. So what were they saying about us? Okay, so they were saying about us. You have anything else? No. Oh, okay. It's like, how do I work with that? And they don't give you any room.
Taryn
They. They can't anymore at this point. Like I said, like, Angela and Dee spend so much of their time just like, just talking smack, really, about Drew. And again, as we'll get through the day, this is starting to happen to Barrett now too. They're also anti Barrett that like, there's no real way to break through to them at the moment. They are so dead set. The real way to do it is to win is to win power. And the problem is that I don't think that they really feel like they should at this point, which again, hey, they. They're both fans. They both know who I am. I am very, very pro win hoh a lot of the time because you might think that it's okay to lose. You might think that you're in a good spot. But even if nobody's targeting, that doesn't mean that you don't have things to benefit from winning hoh, including breaking down these barriers. Because if you're actually in power, you have the chance to break through because they actually rely on you. But we'll see. I mean, again, it. It doesn't have to be them. It could be like, hey, what if Melody wins? What if Mallory wins? That could be good for them, either by fully breaking the alliance or by allowing them to pull through in some kind of way that, again, breaks down that wall. But either way, what would be very bad for them is if something like Angela won hoh or something along those lines. So we'll see. This is the big story, I think, coming through the day is this crossovers deterioration and just divide and. And. And chaotic sort of demolition. So we'll keep an eye on that. Now, I've been mentioning this Haley stuff and the. The honor society thing. There's this whole scene Haley's being so weird about. It's. It's sort of like. It's. It's very grade school. It's very like Haley is. Is like with Angela and D and, And. But she hates Lala. But Angela and D are with Lala, and so Haley doesn't like that they're with Lala and wants to be like, but I'm the. I'm your. I'm your better friend, right? I'm your better friend. So you're gonna let me hide behind the couch when Lala comes up, right? So I get to listen to everything because that. That prov. I'm the real friend and Lala is the fake friend.
Jacob
And even though she tell details that, hey, I think you should leave. No, I just don't want you guys to get caught trying to retell me this story later. Like, I need to be here. But I kind of. In a sense, I hate that Haley is being like this. But I also get that if I'm also talking ish about my friend to you, and then you bring that friend to me, being like, this is my friend, I'm gonna be looking at you a little weird like, what are you doing? I was just talking to you about this girl and I thought you cared about me, and it just doesn't add up. But the issue isn't that deep. And I just think Haley is just being OD with her disdain and not wanting to get over it. With Lala. Yeah, but also, keep your mouth shut.
Taryn
Keep your.
Jacob
If you know this girl doesn't like this girl, why would you bring this back to this girl? It doesn't make sense. Keep your mouth shut so you can avoid all of the. I don't want to use that word. All of the, like, I don't know, caddiness of it all.
Taryn
Yeah, it's, it's such, it's, it's a, it's just such a mess and it, and it would be so much easier if, if they, if they weren't, you know, in a feud with, in a one sided feud with half their alliance. But you know, again, we've talked enough about that.

Taryn
So this is what happens. They're up in the hoh room, Devin's D and Angela and Haley. And, and in the meantime, there's, there's been a prank. Pulled the towels behind the toilet and Lala's going around with the magnifying glass like, who did it? Who did it? She's, you know, everyone's having fun. And uh, and so Haley for the first time hides behind the couch when Lala comes up doing a bit. And when she leaves, you know, she, they, they continue to try to talk Haley into not targeting Lala. And Haley tells them, like you're getting played by these women. Played by these women. We know you know it's a fake thing. Like it was just, just to like keep, keep each other off the block. And, and then this talk shifts to Drew and Barrett and testing Drew and worried about Drew and Barrett casting votes for Rome to stay. That what if the, what if they end up casting those votes and then Rome stays. Like, that would be war. They're like talking themselves into this imaginary scenario. And, and Devin's even talks about how he got really sketched out the night before because Rome had called all the guys to the, to the gym to do his pitch. The big boys meeting and Devins wasn't invited to it and he knew that it was happening and he felt like he gave them a chance to be like, what's going on tonight? And then they didn't say anything until he said what about the boys meeting? They were like, oh yeah, yeah, there's that thing happening. And so he's like, he's sketched out by this and this is just. Again, he's just been infected by this paranoia because there's nothing there. Drew and Barrett in private conversations love Devin's want to go to the final three with him. There's absolutely nothing there that they're like. But it's again, it's just like. And. And this is honestly in many ways even worse for Devins than even Angela and D. Like, Angela and D are the ones making the active mistake of misreading. But by convincing Devins and Devin's allowing himself to be convinced into doing the same misreading, he. He's giving up a lot more than Angela and Dr. When. When it comes to his relationship with Barrett and Drew, if. If that ends up happening. And it was just. It was just wild to me that like he. He talks about this multiple times throughout the day. Like, yeah, they didn't. He was like, it might have been just because it was like not a big deal and we were in the kitchen. It's like might have been.
Jacob
It was. Yeah. So Devin has let D and Angela get in his head massively when he has something really good with the boys and if he would even. Even them extending it to Yash and having Yash buy into the Dapper Dan allegiance. I Devin's needs, I think one, because they use his room as a sounding board for all their ideas and all their complaints. A lot of the times if they. If they're not in the living room. So he's just up there due to him being hoh. But I. But also you can. If you coming in with the survivor person that you feel so close to and you have this big brother alarm that's in your mouth that has played this game, you're probably going to listen to them more than you listen to two young boys that would, I guess in retro in a lot of ways go as well with the other boys along the house. Like Devin is the outlier in this game in regards to the male. It's a lot of younger guys, a lot of guys who work out. It's a lot of guys that are in the scene. We have Chuck, we have Kyle, Yamu, we have Yash, we have Rome, we have Drew and Bear and Jason all around the same age group. So that probably does weigh on an older guy's mentality even. Even more.
Taryn
Yeah. So they continue this conversation. Devin's ends up leaving and Lala comes up again, just time to like, have an actual conversation. And Haley hides behind the couch again for like this time, like a good like 20 plus minutes as they're just chatting with Lala about the Rome vote. Now, important to note because this is going to matter throughout the day. Lala and Taylor talked earlier in the morning and they talked about like the Rome vote. Do we have. Could we keep Rome? No, we don't have the votes to keep Rome. And Taylor talked about Jason, Jason versus Melody. And it was kind of confusing because she was kind of like, I think, I think Jason stays over Melody, though. And it was like, wait, wait, that was. That's not what you talked about, is it? I was like, is that surely that she's just like saying it wrong or. This is being misinterpreted, but, but this is something that has been brought up already. And so, so Lala is talking about the Rome thing and then she also wants to grab Taylor so that they can all talk together about like the vote and everything that's going on. So Lala leaves and. And this is when D is like, Haley, you have to go like, Taylor is not Lala. She's observant. She is going to catch you and that's going to be very bad for us. So they shove Haley out of the room. And this is also very funny because Angela just follows Haley out the door in her egg thing and he's like, where are you going? What do you mean? You have to be in here. We're having. The whole point is she's bringing Taylor up to have a conversation with us, the four of us, and Angela just kind of like turns her out like, sorry, I'm. I'm just delirious right now.
Jacob
Waddles back in, sleeping. That costume must not be comfortable. Not sleeping. But just being in the egg costume must not be very comfortable for Angela. I do want to say though, that Taylor and La yesterday kind of. I know, I know. We are kind of counting them out because they really haven't done anything. They've been to themselves a lot of the time. But I feel like the conversations that were had about Taylor and the things that I saw Taylor doing, I'm kind of yesterday got me excited about her. For instance, in the morning, she was even Telling Lala, hey, Lala, don't ever mention keeping. Putting Lala on game of how to interact with Angela, indeed, in their new alliance. Like, telling Lala, hey, Lala, I saw their faces when you brought up the idea of keeping Rome. Don't do that. Like, you can't talk to them. Like, oh, yeah, I was just throwing that. I was just throwing out all scenarios. But no, you can't do that. And so in a ways, I feel like she's socially depth. That how you say it? Like, socially, socially depth. And even when the guys were talking about her later on, Kamu got in her ear and told her, yo, Taylor, you need to be a little bit more active how these relationships start talking to people. And so I think that start today or yesterday and, you know, hopefully we'll get that superseding throughout the rest of the week.
Taryn
And it's a very good observation. It's something that the people in the house also noticed. In fact, in this conversation prior to Lala joining, when it was Devin's Haley, Angela and D, Angela mentioned that she was like, you know what? I think Taylor has some winter potential going on. Like, she's getting a lot more active. She's. She's smart. So, you know, it's the kind of thing where, like, the second you start doing anything, people start to notice because they're used to not doing anything. But if she keeps being active while maintaining the connections that she has, she's got a decent shot at. At actually worming her way into the game, which would be very, very nice because we kind of need some more players here.
Jacob
And also, Taryn, do you understand the tau situation with the toilet? Like, it was a toilet on the back of the toilet on the. It was a toilet. It was a towel on the back of the toilet numerous nights. Did it have, like. Like what people said it smelled?
Taryn
Yeah. So I. I believe this was. This was an intentional. Well, maybe not intentional initially, but, like, it was a prank that was pulled to put towels behind the toilet, and it was pulled primarily on Lala because she's, you know, the person who does most of the cleaning.
Jacob
Yes.
Taryn
And. And this was, I believe, orchestrated in part by D and Drew, but then Jason later admits that he added to the towels. Jason also apparently is the person who took some of the condoms.
Jacob
Oh.
Taryn
And so. So this is like the whole. The whole, like, towel situation. And I don't. But yes, I don't know exactly. Like, it's. It's a strange. It's strange place to put a towel.
Jacob
It is A very strange place to put a towel. And also, I was kind of like, all right, la la. Like, all right. At some point, drop it a little bit. Like, don't go up to every room doing it. I think keeping the center kitchen. But it was funny because Drew went up to the hoh room, and I don't know if it was this conversation when he interrupted the girls in the morning or if it was another one, but he says, yeah, when D and Jason threw it in, indeed was like, D and Jason. No, don't say with. Because when you say with it. I watched him do it. I didn't do it with him.
Taryn
I.
Jacob
You need to be careful with your words. And so even certain things like that can show you a little bit of their annoyance. Like, quick, bite back already.
Taryn
Yes. So up in the hoh room, Taylor joins. It's Taylor, Lala, Angela, D. It's the honor society. And this was such a funny interaction to me because Taylor comes up and she's like, I just want to make sure we're clear on what's happening with the votes. Like. Like, anybody that sits next six sits next to Rome stays. Like, yeah. And I've also been hearing anybody that sits next to Melody goes. Or, sorry, anybody that sits next to Melody also stays.
Jacob
You see how.
Taryn
Hold on. Wait, What? Wait, which one are we saying? And she's like, yeah, I'm hearing, you know, that the. Basically that some people are talking about keeping Jason over Melody and D immediately, oh, that's not what I want. And, like, no, that's not what we want. It's not what we want either. It's. I heard it from Chuck. Taylor says, Chuck was saying this, but basically because, like, Jason's a bigger target out in front of people. So, like, that would make some sense. So. So that's why. I mean, you know, you know, it could make some sense to potentially do that. To keep. To do. To do that with the vote. And they're being very vague about what that is. Right. And so they're like, okay, so if it's. If it's Jason and Melody. Melody. And they all agree, but in Taylor's mind, I believe she's agreeing to vote out Melody. And in D and Angela's mind, they're agreeing to keep Melody. And so in Taylor's mind, they all just agreed to vote out Melody. And then they start talk, and then Angela interrupts the conversation before anything can be cleared up by saying, well, I've got a kind of crazy idea. I know that we don't love Haley but what if we brought her in as kind of like a fifth wheel to keep her from targeting you, lala and Taylor's like, Haley's targeting. Yeah, yeah, I think she might put her. But if we bring her in, if we pull her in, maybe this could work. And Taylor's like, actually no, this could try. Like we pull Haley and they talk about the Haley thing. It's like a one week thing. They're gonna pull her in at a certain time. It's like all this stuff. Taylor's like, well, first step would be convince her to keep Jason over Melody. And they're like, whoa, what if he, what if she says no? Like, well then you know, she's not with us.
Jacob
Yeah, yeah.
Taryn
And it's like, wait a minute, hold on, when did this happen? And then the thing gets broken up and so like all of a sudden Taylor now believes that not only is the plan to keep Jason over Melody, but that they're pulling Haley in in large part to get her vote. To make that happen,
Jacob
you need to over explain things in the Big brother house. You can't just leave things at being that. Oh yeah, is that the plan? Are we evicting that person? We have to say names and we have to say our intentions directly because confusion like this arise and hopefully, which I believe things will be clarified and fingers crossed because I don't want Taylor lala left out like that. But during this conversation, especially when Angela brought up the idea of bringing Haley in, I really hope that Taylor and lala overextend themselves in friendliness and conversation with Haley just to kind of get her off their back of like, hey, we're kind of working together and if that can be another connection to just okay, Haley, we're good girlfriends now. We don't got no issues. We good. And it could be just something other than what we have seen. But I just don't have high hopes because Haley is set in her ways.
Taryn
So yeah, I, I think the part of the idea of telling Haley about this alliance was to, was to help convince her to not go after lala. I think so far that has backfired. I think so far it's only convinced Haley she wants to go after lala more because she feels like Angela and D are getting played by lala and Taylor and she wants to like just get rid of their influence at this point. Now that doesn't mean that they won't be able to convince her in the future, but I don't think that them being in an alliance with them is part of that, I think that they would have. It would have been easier to convince her without exposing the alliance, quite frankly.
Jacob
And Haley probably feels like her position is threatened a little bit. Like Angela, indeed don't really hang out with any other girls. I'm trying to see of this map. I don't really see film that much. And so with them having kikis with Lala and having endearing conversations, she could be like, wait, well, where does that leave me? And so.
Taryn
And I. I think it's really important as well to examine where Haley is right now in the game, because she's watching as Chuck is like Google eyes for. For a lyric, right? Like, he's talking about how when he works her out, Rome gets really mad and. And all this stuff. Like, Chuck is just, like, just tanking his own game, by the way, by falling for this lyric stuff so much. And. And so Haley's watching him go over there. And if Rome does leave, then that's. That in her mind, I think, is like, Chuck lost to them for the most part. And she's got Kamu, but she's also watching Kamu run around talking to a lot of people. In fact, somebody Kamu's talking to a lot today is Taylor. They have a lot of conversations. And so I think she sees Kamu going around. And I'm still not entirely sure where she sits with Kamu, but I do think that she. She likes Kamu. She wants to work with Kamu, but she's maybe a little bit worried that he might be playing her. And then there's the. Then there's Angela, who can. Who gives her so much time and attention. And she recognizes that Angela's a little paranoid at times. She's. She's like. Angela's a lot easier to deal with when she's in the egg costume. And. But, like, she feels like this is a good. She. She wants to just, like, have a crew, I think. And she felt like Angela was maybe the crew. Angela and D could be the. A good, you know, kind of grouping to come into. But. But now they're off with Lala. She's like, get rid of Lala and Taylor and everything kind of works for you. All of a sudden. Kamu might be more in. In with you again. Angela and D will be more in with you instead of going off and gallivanting with Lala and Taylor. And so I. I really feel like this is in large part, like, what's happening in Haley's mind right now.
Jacob
I feel like it's a lot of insecurity game wise, in relationship wise. And she's kind of like that girlfriend or boyfriend you have that. Hey, what's your location? Where were you? Who are you with? Did they say anything about me? What did they say about me? Okay, who are you going to hang out with next? Who are you texting? What are y' all texting about? Are y' all texting about me? It's something sort of like that. She has to have a pulse on every one of her alliance members, where they're at, who they're talking to, and if they're not talking to someone that she likes, it's an alarm bell, which is hard to play with. And it's hard to play if I'm looking at that. And if I'm looking. That's how you move. How can I safely and successfully maneuver my own game to have freedom in this alliance? Freedom with trust? And I don't think that's something Haley allows her alliance members to have.
Taryn
Yes. Yeah. So in the meantime, Haley also, by the way, she's going to talk to Kamu about being a little sketched about. Sketched out by Drew and Barrett together, which. Which Kamu agrees with a comma's still talking with Drew about their thing, and Kamu agrees that he's worried about Drew and Barrett, and I think that, you know, he's probably just gonna say, yeah, but also, it wouldn't surprise me if Kamu was also maybe a little skeptical of Drew and Barrett as they have been spending more time together. More. It's more. It's been more obvious that. That they're a bit of. They have, like, a good friendship going on. And so it wouldn't surprise me at all if Kamu was like, I hope Drew is more loyal to me than Barrett in the same way that the. The crossovers are like, I hope Drew is more loyal to us than. Than. Than Melody. So we will. We will see what goes on there.
Jacob
Drew does a good job. At any time he talks to someone I like instantly like, oh, this is Drew's number one. Like, anytime I hear the way that he connects with the people that he's talking to and reaffirms them and also repositions them as his number one, I'm like, oh, Drew is so good. And then he does it to the next person, I'm like, oh, wait, did that just not mean anything? It confuses me.
Taryn
It's wild, too, because it's like he does he. All of those people that you're talking about are not his number. His actual number. Ones are the people that are like, screw Drew. We don't trust him at all. I guess Barrett, I guess Barrett is the one person he really has a number one with that actually believes that he's the number one with. But yeah, it's. It's funny. Like, it's. It's like all of the people that Drew is most loyal to, most of the people that Drew is most loyal to don't trust him. And most of the people Drew is not loyal to do trust him.
Jacob
And then in probably Drew's mind, he's thinking, okay, this area is so good. Let me just go and sprinkle my seeds and water them and actually care about the person and have those one on one conversations. But when you are in something that you feel like is so secure sometimes, I mean, this is also in relationships there, you know, sometimes when you're dating someone, you're like, okay, this is good. I don't necessarily have to reaffirm this position because I think we're locked in. But then your partner could be like, wait, but I need to be water. You're out here talking to all these people. But what about home? And it's one of those things you just need to get aligned with. He. Drew needs to take care of home if he wants to be good with them.
Taryn
Yeah. Listen, you know, sometimes. Sometimes your. Your home alliance needs a date night. You know what I mean?
Jacob
Yeah.
Taryn
And always be.
Jacob
Yeah. They need steak and wine, a little kiss. You know what I mean? Play it on them. Yeah.
Taryn
So Melody and Mallory talk, of course, throughout the day, a bit. They have been getting closer.
Jacob
The.
Taryn
The. The stain of the previous week has started to fade, in my opinion, where Melody was trying to distance herself from Mallory, and Mallory, who had been drifting more and more toward Lyric instead of Melody, I think has been drifting back toward Melody a bit, or at least not as distant from her as before. Mallory and Lyric had made like a little bit of a final two situation. But. But I do think that she's much more locked in with Melody than she has been before. She has promised Melody her vote. That has not changed. And Melody suggests that they work with Drew and Barrett, which Mallory likes. Even though she is open with Melody about this, she still is not a hundred percent sure where Barrett stands and if she can trust him, that she's still sort of like working on figuring out that relationship, which, like, quite frankly, by this point, like, Barrett, get on that man like you are. He is not. He is not watering that relationship enough. He's not ordering any, really, any like, he's getting in trouble for having that relationship, and he barely has that relationship. Like, it's. Again, you might as well just actually work on this stuff if you're gonna get in trouble for it. But.
Jacob
And he knows that he needs to, too. He brings it up to several different people. Oh, I know. I need to.
Taryn
Well, Drew keeps telling him because Mallory tells Drew, I'm not sure if I can trust Barrett yet. And then Drew goes, hey, Barrett. Mallory's still saying this. He's. I gotta work on that.
Jacob
He did something. I guess if you want to give him a little bit of a hand clap at the end of the day with, you know, telling her, I forgot what it was exactly. But they talked in the storage room. But I don't know if it's the slot brain. I don't know if it's just now he feels thrown off being a fan of this game and then being completely in it 247 is also like, oh, wow, this is a lie. I don't know what it is. I just hope that he can someone because he's. He's getting the right advice, but he's just not doing anything with the advice that he's getting.
Taryn
Yeah, it's. I mean, it's very. It's giving very much like, ah, yeah, I've been meaning to fix that. Yeah, I've been meaning to fix that. A year later, he's a procrastinator. I'm getting around to fixing that, I swear.
Jacob
Yeah, he's a procrastinator. He'll like. It's like if the sink is leaking, instead of screwing the tubes back together, he'll just clean up the puddle, and then tomorrow it'll be back, and then he'll like, okay, I'll fix it, I promise. But for now, I'll just clean up the puddle. Oh, now it's bad. It's bad. Okay, let me just get a towel up the puddle. But no, you actually have to go in there, tighten the things, get the thing, do the doo doo's.
Taryn
But he just like, all right, I'm gonna do. I'll just leave a towel here.
Jacob
I'll just leave without. Yeah, for now, I'll leave a towel here. So we'll catch it. Yes, that's what he's doing.
Taryn
Oh, man. So one thing that he is doing, which of course I do like is, is the alliance with Yash, the Dapper Dans, who come together without Yash initially. And Barrett does let them know that for some reason, Taylor's going around saying that they have the votes to keep Jason. And so Taylor approached Barrett and was like, yeah, are you doing this? And Barrett had to be like, sure. And so he's really worried about this. He's later gonna tell D and Angela. It's gonna be a whole thing. But for now, they're. They're like, kind of debriefing. And then Drew does something. I do not like this from Drew. Drew tells Devins and Barrett Rome's got a secret. His name is not really Rome. It's Jack. And, you know, they have a little laugh about this. Here's why I really don't like this from Drew. There's nothing he gains from spilling the secret. There's no strategic benefit. It's not strategically relevant in any way. And for as much as Rome is likely about to leave if he doesn't. This is terrible information to have divulged, because it's the exact kind of thing that, like, wow, you. You were really so not with me that you told them about that secret. Something completely useless in the game. And nobody could possibly know this unless you told them, because Jerome hasn't told anybody else. And so it's like, this is. It's. Ah, man, this is just not good from Drew, in my opinion.
Jacob
Yeah. And we know how things can spread in this house, even in casual conversation. And so just how casually he mentioned this and jokingly he mentioned this with the boys, I feel like he can easily do that with an. Just because he feels like, oh, we're good. I can trust y'. All. Oh, Dean, Angela, you know, this is so silly, but his name is Jack and not Rome. And then someone says it as a Freudian. Fraudulent. Not fraudulent.
Taryn
Freudian.
Jacob
Freudiant. Freudian slip. And just like, hey, Jack. Or just like some stupid people being stupid around the house. That's going to get back. And so I don't know why he's doing it, but Drew, in a lot of ways has, like, a little boy. Not. And I hate to call him that, but he's 22. I'm 29. I could say it. Hell, he has, like, little boy sense of humor. And like. Like the tomatoes red. Like, we're so funny. We're so stupid. We're so geeky. We're so. He has that sort of sense of humor. So he probably doesn't even get the seriousness of this. And it's just a little boy about it. But, you know, we're in the house with grown people, but, you know, I think he'll hone in on it.
Taryn
Yes. And when I say nobody else. No. Like, obviously, I'm excluding Lyric. Like, I don't think Rome would. Like, if Lyric says, I didn't tell anybody, Rome's gonna believe her. So, like, it's like he's the only person who could tell somebody that he would believe it wouldn't believe if he tried to deny it. And it's just like, yeah, it's just. Just the names of things in general, alliance names, a person's real name or a person's personal things that are extra details that aren't strategically relevant are always the things that hurt the most when they are exposed. Like when Rome told Devins about the four seasons alliance, the fact that he knew the name, the four seasons was the biggest thing, the biggest dagger for somebody like Melody who really liked that alliance and wanted to work with it. Like, oh, he told them the name. It's done then. And it's what d and Devins are going to talk about later when it comes when they're worried about what happens when. When Drew and Barrett break off, they know the red corner's name. It's.
Commercial Announcer
It's.
Taryn
Knowing the name is. It's like. It's like the. It's like in fantasy stories where, like, the knowing the true name of something gives you power over it. Like, it really does. And it's. Why if you're gonna give information because you feel like, oh, well, if. If somebody finds out this information and that and I didn't tell them, then I'll get in trouble. You never have to give them the name. Almost never. And especially here. You never had to tell Rome's real name. And I. I just. I do not. Do not like it.
Jacob
But anything be sacred anymore. Like, it's the sacred. It's the sake. Sacredness that keeps it. Like, ah, I'm keeping this close to my heart. But once that is divulged, it loses its power in itself. Like, this is something so sacred. I'm keeping this, and I'm letting you into my heart, and I'm exposing myself in a way that's kind of intimate. And how you just can go throw that out there. Whether it be a name of the alliance, whether it be Rome's real name. Jack, he told America, you know, maybe Rome forgot live features wrong. And he was like, oh, only Drew knows this in the entire world. But no, we know it too, Rome. But, you know, it is. It is something that I think could come back to bite him. And I think it's a tendency that Drew that we need to look out for With Drew like just giving it out so easily.
Taryn
Too much information. It's been one of his issues from the start. Yash joins, they talk about liking Kamu and you know, Dapper Dan's, they're doing their thing. I do think this is the most valuable alliance that really any of them have at the moment outside of the main one. But the main one's about to die so you know, we'll see. But the fact that they have Yash is very, very valuable for them, especially Drew and Barrett who, you know, they need, they need numbers and the fact that they have Yash is huge, huge, huge. So Mallory does talk to Lyric about working with Drew, Melody and Yash again. Yash kind of just like being pulled into things and, and so like this relationship is still on. This is like if Mallory were to win an hoh, she would be nominating, uh, the vet sets and trying to pull in Drew, Melody, Yash, etc and honestly what would probably happen is a lot of stuff would maybe come out in the wash when it comes to all of the information that Haley and Kamu know about how much Angela and D have been throwing Drew and Barrett under the bus in order to protect themselves from Mallory hoh. I imagine they would throw D and Angela under the bus. Drew and Barrett would maybe learn some of that information and you know, this is maybe a worst case scenario for Angela and D, but then they would be like, you know what, maybe we will get pulled into a thing with Mallory, we'll keep Devin safe and we'll help Polyashin as well and the Dapper Dans will become the Dapper Dames and will include Mallory and Lyric and Melody and that could become the new like genuinely that's how powerful an HOH can be. Now another realistic scenario there is that like as Kamu and Haley tried to rat out Angela and D, they get framed for it and, and they get in trouble and all this stuff happens. But it really just depends on like where Mallory is, is aimed and if she's able to be diverted. But yeah, interesting stuff. And definitely watch out for a Mallory hoh. It could be huge for the entire structure of the house.
Jacob
It would, it would definitely be a shake up. And I also like that Yash is being pulled into things. I like him a lot more this week than I him before, even though he is one of the bros. But I, I think when you listen to him talk and like just about not everything but sometimes with his game conversations and with his perceptions on different things and I'm mainly pointing to a conversation that he had with Chuck and Kamu upstairs in the gym later on. But I'm kind of. I'm kind of. I'm liking him. I'm liking him. I'm hoping that he stays on. The second week in the Big Brother house really gets people juking. You know, they have that first week to kind of assess the land, get com comfortable, sleep in the bed, you know, know people's patterns, and now they can kind of ride. So I'm excited to see numerous people act on some of their thoughts and emotions this week.
Taryn
There you go. So Dee and Devin's have that conversation that I was talking about where basically they're like, okay, because Devin's brings up the. The guys meeting again. He says he told Drew and Barrett, which he did. Like, don't cast any. Any rogue votes quotes. And like, D is. Is in D's mind. Like, this is like a mutual. Like, they are sketchy. She's caught them. They are doing their own thing with Yash. She's doing her own thing with honor Society. And like, this is. It's almost at the breaking point. This might happen as soon as next week that they go to war. And meanwhile, yeah, Barrett and Drew are like, we're so happy that our allies are going to get powers next week. We're going to be in such a great position.
Jacob
Yeah.
Taryn
And so. And. But. But meanwhile, D. Is it like, at DEFCON 5? Like, like, oh, my God, what's gonna. How do we handle it when things break up and Drew and Barrett are gonna know all of our information and they. They know about the Red Corner name. How are we going to handle this? And Devin's like, I don't know. We just blow everything up, I guess.
Jacob
And I. If that. If they do come to blows, I don't really see. And maybe you disagree, but I don't really see Drew and Barrett having the, like, gusto to Air D. Angela and Debbie's completely out.
Taryn
Well, it's like, I mean, my thing is, yes, Drew and Barrett can talk about Red Corner, but Drew in particular doesn't have a lot of incentive to. I like, if Drew reveals that he knows about Red Corner, what does that say about his relationship with Kamu? That, like, all this time that Kamu thought they were in things together, he was kind of getting played by Drew, who knew he had the Red Corner alliance and used that information to help get close to him by talking about the right people. Like, it also exposes Drew, like, Drew's position throughout the game if he talks about how much Information he knew. So it's actually, there is a world where it's beneficial for him to actually keep on the down low about some of that stuff and pretend like he was left out of it. Because what, what he can then happen, what he can then do is like gather his actual numbers and relationships who feel good about him under the current set of information and, and try to retaliate so you know, we will see. And like, yes, like, as Amber in the chat's pointed, like, Kamo didn't tell Drew about Red Corner. Sure. And there is absolutely a world where Drew can bring up Red Corner and be like, yeah, I knew about it, but don't worry, like I, I never, I thought our relationship superseded it. And, and you can tell because like I never, it was never a huge deal to me. That's why I still wanted to work with you. Regardless. There's definitely a world where you can sell it. But, but it's not always gonna like, not in the way where it's like, well, yeah, but I knew about Red. Like you have to have those conversations in, in private, I think like, like they have to be carefully managed or they could backfire on you just as much as they could backfire on the vets. So either way, there, this is just so, so messy in general. And, and, and, and D and Angela, of all people. D should, D, of all people should know after watching Lala and Rome just now how dangerous it is to try to get in with Lala, make a named alliance and then talk about how all of this other stuff is about to be blown up.
Commercial Announcer
Up.
Taryn
You think Lala's gonna take that lying down after what happened with Rome? Like she's gonna be so pissed at you again. And she already was like skeptical of Angela in the first place. And Taylor's there who's very sharp. Like, this is so unnecessary. You are running the house right now. You were in an incredible spot and you're tanking it for no reason.
Jacob
I feel like D, though has been doing things unnecessarily just to like, just to kind of. But we, I've heard her, you know, it was in the first week, but she said, I can't believe no one has gotten into a fight yet. I need to see something. And so you're, she's getting a little anti pants with just wanting to some action. And I think the action that she's gonna get is not the action that she necessarily wants.
Taryn
I agree. And you know, it's, I, I, I'll bring this up again when we Talked to Aubry. I thought this was such a good observation that she was noticing that D is constant, like her head is on a swivel. Because on Survivor every conversation matters and it's so true. You see D and every time she spots somebody talking to somebody else. And it's similar with Devin's with that whole like guys meeting thing. It's like they place so much more importance on every small interaction. But it's not the same as Survivor. You have so many more interactions with people that are completely benign and I think it's causing them to really like spiral out of control. And I can't give Angela the same excuse. It's just always been Angela. But like, like, but I don't think that Angela's presence there as a vet of Big Brother who has experience, who's agreeing with that, not only agreeing with it but like sparking that with her own paranoia, I don't think that's helping in any, in any way. So. So here they are. Devin's does say he thinks that next week is too early to turn on the alliance. He thinks that they need to take out at least one more person on the other side before they start looking inward. And he's not wrong. At least is correct. But they also agree, despite everything that's going on with Taylor and Lala, that Jason is still going to be evicted over Melody. Now this is still a big problem for them as Taylor continues to campaign for Jason over Melody and Barrett brings that information to D and Angela and he's like, what do we do about this? Which again, they're just annoyed about for whatever reason because it's a problem that they caused. And they're like, well, now that we have this thing with them, we can't like turn on the. We're not like, what are we gonna attack? What are we gonna do? We're gonna have to like maybe go to them at the last minute and say we don't have the votes. So. And it's like, what are. This is what we've come. You had full power this week and you have to last minute talk to new allies to be like, ah, we don't have. We have to. Have to pull a move like that in the position you're in. What are we doing?
Jacob
That gives very. Jimmy. So basically they've been saying everything about you and we got to put you up. We got to put you up. Jimmy, I'm so sorry, but we got to get dressed for the ceremony. But in 15 minutes you about to be on the block. It Gives very much so that and gives Rush activity doesn't give, you know, time to let things marinate. And with people. You've seen how LALA reacts.
Taryn
You. You.
Jacob
You wouldn't take kindly to this. And so why put that just in the atmosphere of any type of icky feeling? I don't get it. But also, I was thinking this, though, because Barrett kind of had a little bit of alone time with D. You know, they were on the couch, but, you know, they kind of had a little cozy. And I was like. Because Bear's been saying, oh, yeah, these kind of last on my agenda for the alliance. And I was like, okay, maybe he just needs one more interaction to rope things back in. So, like, once he talks to D, everything will be kind of back to smooth, smooth roads. I'm not too sure. I. I don't know if there's any. Like. I feel like Dee has her mind made up about both Drew and Barrett, and I don't think there's changing them as of yet.
Taryn
As of now, It's. It's so far gone. It used to be we hate Drew. He's too musical. He gives rich kid vibes. But we love Barrett. Well, don't we? We love Barrett. It. Now it's Drew and Barrett. They have to go. They're so sketchy. Why is Barrett coming over here?
Jacob
Oh, my.
Taryn
Hi, Barrett. Hi. And it's. It's gotten bad. Like, Barrett is on the hit list, and they're taught. Like, how can. Like, can we just. Like, can we just get rid of Barrett and Drew and replace them with, like. Like, Yosh? Like. Like. Like what? Like, it's bad. It's bad.
Jacob
And I. They have all these complaints for Drew and Bear, but I don't really see them doing anything. They want Drew and Bear to come to them. I don't know what they want, actually.
Taryn
I don't.
Commercial Announcer
I don't.
Taryn
I don't. They just want them to cease existing, quite frankly, basically.
Jacob
But I don't see them doing anything to also mend or bind them closer together. They just sit there, wait to them. Wait for them to come to us, and then we will. Okay. Thank you, Shushu. Thank you. You. You gave us a No. I didn't like it. I didn't like the tea that you tried to serve me, so back off. But y' all aren't doing anything to help your case anyways.
Taryn
It's such a weird mindset because it's again, it's like, it. And I talked about this yesterday. It's like, it's causing them to view people like Yash in a more favorable light because, like, Yash is this third party that they need to woo and, like, you know, win over. And it's. It's. I think it's akin to your analogy earlier, Jacob. It's like, it's like resenting your partner at home for. For, like, not, like. For, like, not having a great relationship when not, like, you're not putting in the effort. You're putting in all your effort with, like, other random people. And then you're being like, ah, why doesn't. Why doesn't my partner at home is. Why is. Aren't they grateful for what I give and you're not giving them anything?
Jacob
And especially this is why. Communication saves nations. Communication saves relationships. Communication saves relationships and alliances and Big Brother, if you convey. And I know it's so hard, but do it like, if you. But they don't want this to work, so they wouldn't do it. If something is on your heart that much, I want to voice this to you because I'm feeling. Drew voiced it with Devin's before. I feel like y' all think I'm gonna switch at any moment. And I feel like he said that to put it in the air and also to try to rectify it to Devons, like, hey, I'm. I'm aware that this could be a perception. I want to let you know that I don't want that to happen. But if you don't communicate any of your suspicions, any of your concerns, how can they in ways, fix it? We can't read minds. Not. We can't. Like, I'm grouping men and women separately, but, like, it's hard when they don't voice anything. And these people thinking everything's fine, and y' all are like, no, everything is not fine. But y' all are also the same people that when y' all get around, these people just want information and to, like, what did they say? Who are they talking about? What's the plan? Anything new? All right. I don't need to know anything about you, Drew. Bye. It's weird.
Taryn
Yeah. I'm. I'm really curious also about, like, what's going to happen with this power. Because I do think, obviously, that. That Devins and D are the front runners by far. But I do think that the edit has been pretty favorable toward Drew in particular. He's always in the diary room, like, being right about things. They had him there being like, this breakup is fake. And if they do any segments where Angela and D and Devin's or whoever else they run any of these segments about Drew where they're not. Not where they're not trusting him because they kind of have to. Like, this is really coming to a head here. I feel like that could create, especially if it's tonight, create a huge surge of sympathy for Drew amongst the casual audience. And it might be enough to get Drew a power, which would be wild and very interesting because a. It would either. It would. I mean, it would cause a lot of things. Things. If Drew got a power between Angela and D being freaked out, Drew might completely misplay it a la Matt Hoffman, where, like, he has the power to do something about it and then doesn't. Like, there's all kinds of fun things that happens if that happens. But I think it really depends on tonight's. I think it's possible with tonight's episode that it could happen, but it, like I said, it just depends on, like, how they. How they edit the episode.
Commercial Announcer
That.
Jacob
And even Drew and Devin talked about using that as strategy. Like, hey, they think that the next two people. Angela already got it. They think that we could get it. Maybe we use that in a way so people won't target us. And I think it is likely, but I hope not. Yeah, I, I, I would. Like, honestly, I put my vote. Can you vote every day, or is it just one time?
Taryn
I don't know. I think every day.
Jacob
Okay. Because I didn't. I haven't done it every day. I just cast 10 votes. But it was early on in the week where Rome was getting his tens, and I was like, all right, this voting opportunity comes up, Rome is gonna get it. But to be honest, even if Rome comes back, even if Rome stays, I don't really know. Like, I'm kind of indifferent towards him now. Like, I don't know what avenue he really has.
Taryn
Yeah.
Jacob
You know, other than just being with Lyric. Kissy cuddly. Now everybody knows it's a ruse they didn't break. I think Jason came out the room, was like, oh, yeah, Rome and Lyric were making out. Chuck was like, oh, so they're not Rome broken up. Haley was like, oh, you're jealous. Like, those sort of things. I think that's just basically what we're gonna get is. No, I'm not a Rome, Stan. I'm just. It's like when you eat oysters, you know what oysters give you? You know, and so they give me. That's what it's like an aphrodisiac.
Taryn
Roman lyrics, you know what oysters give you it's very funny way to phrase that.
Jacob
When you're seven eleven's hottest fire chicken sandwich. People think you're intense. Well, yeah, I'm hot, so. Yeah, intense. Wanna see if you can handle the heat? Then try me with pickles or spicy mayo and jalapenos. Oh, and it's all just 4.99.
Taryn
That's a deal.
Jacob
Almost as hot as I am. Almost. Sweets? No, Spicy. See for yourself. 4.99 and only at 7 11. Valid through 82546. Participating stores only while supplies last visit store for full terms.
Taryn
Yeah, I mean, this is one of those situations with the Blockbuster where, like, if Rome wins the Blockbuster tonight, he's. He's survives, but he's like a. A walking corpse. Like. Like, he's been counted out of this game. And so, like, the entire, like, he's like, where does he go from here? We have a lot of things to sort of, like, redo do, whereas if he goes, it's like, yeah, that makes sense. That's what normally would happen. So, again, we saw that happen so much with Keanu, where it's like, he was just constantly the target, constantly surviving, just, like, not supposed to be there. Like, not really included in anything because they were constantly trying to vote him out.
Jacob
And it's the only way from that position, Taryn, just to win out. Because even with Jason, like, Jason is on the block, I'm kind of counting Jason out. Like, I don't. Like. Yeah, I think he still has some connections, but I. I guess because the people that aren't. Aren't nominated are the. Really. The people moving the ball this week, and we just have people laying as fish. And I'm not, like. I'm not really. I don't. I'm not really that hungry for anyone to, like, be safe. I'm not like, oh, this person needs to be there. This person needs. Because I don't know. Avenue that they can succeed except for just being a number.
Taryn
I mean, to be honest, I. I don't think even. Even with. I mean, I'm saying this about Rome, but, like, given how on the cusp this house is of just, like, completely blowing up, I don't think anybody's out. I think that, yeah, everybody is in it because everything's gonna restructure if. If the crossovers fall apart. The crossovers are the foundation of this entire game, and if they have a public falling out, the entire thing shifts. And anybody has opportunity to rise to power then.
Jacob
And people are gonna see that. I mean, feel that energy I think in the house, I. I feel like because Angela, she can't keep her disdain when she's not really messing with somebody. And I don't know if D actually can, too. So the vibe of the house is definitely going to be shifted. I think Barrett may. Hopefully he feels some fire under his behind, so he gets more agile. But I see. Even if that alliance really blows up, I feel like Baron may get in his shell more. Like, I just. Like, I don't know why I feel that, but I feel like he's like, oh, well, this is hard. This is extremely hard now. Like, I just had a big blowing up with people that I thought I was locked in with, and now I don't have any energy to. To do anything with.
Taryn
I hope not. I hope he'll. He'll not be a have. Not anymore. Hopefully with a fire under him, no longer. I have not. We actually get some more from Barrett because he's gonna need it.
Jacob
Yeah.
Taryn
Final thing is just to. I've alluded to it already, but basically, D and Angela have a Barrett Drew ranting session with Haley and Kamu, which is just so reckless. And, you know, Kamu obviously has a really close relationship with Drew. Now, again, he might be concerned about Drew and Barrett together. He might not bring Drew this information, like, on its own. But, like, we're about to have an HOH competition. Even if Kamu doesn't bring this information to Drew, like, by. By itself, a wrong HOH result could have Kamu bringing this to Drew because the dynamics have changed, and it's just like, what are we doing? And will Drew believe Camus? He might not. He might because he True. Because he does trust Angela and D so much. He might go to them and be like, can you believe what Kamu is trying to do? Trying to split us apart? This is what he told me. And then they'll probably be. Be like, that he was threatening us. Did you hear that? And, you know, that could certainly happen, but it's just still so, like, what. What are we doing here?
Jacob
I do feel that Drew would believe Kamu. I may be just getting misted by their connection, but I also think him believing Kamo is also him taking it back to Angela and D and saying, hey, like, Kamu said this. Like, can you believe saying it in a way that I don't believe you, but can you guys say something to further make me. You Can y' all say, give me some evidence on why this is not true, please? But I would love for him too, and I would love for Common to get this information back to Drew and I would love to see what Drew's capable of.
Taryn
Yeah, yeah. Be good.
Jacob
We.
Taryn
I mean really, this has been the story of the entire week is this whole like Drew thing and now Barrett's getting involved as well. And what I really want from next week is for this all to come to a head. I. I want. Want Drew and, and or Barrett to find out so that we can actually have more of less of a one sided interaction in this whole situation and really get to the meat of it. That would be the most amount of fun, but that's about what we've got. Jacob, anything else you wanted to bring up from yesterday? No.
Jacob
I really believe Drew's a star. Drew's gonna be a star this season and for good or for bad, I think he's going to be one of the main stars of this season. I'm excited to see what he does because he's so young and he's so like I think willing and at times so perceptive on how people can view himself. I wish he was a little bit more. But I think, I don't know. I feel like Drew can do a little damage and I'm excited to see it. But I also do believe a lot of people this week and hopefully weeks to come have gotten more active in their pursuit of gaming and in relationships. I. E. Taylor, IE. Yeah. And honestly, I've even seen Chuck, you know, have more conversations and provide a lot more people comfort even though Haley is suspicious now of Chuck. Yeah. But I don't know. I'm excited. I'm excited to what's to come. I'm excited to see who wins hoh. Mostly I don't really care who goes home, but I'm really excited to see who wins HOH And I just hope that D and Angela and Haley don't get what they want. Want personally.
Commercial Announcer
Yeah.
Taryn
People. Yes. People are mentioning that there's a moment where like it's, you know, you say revealed but like, like Chuck is. Is like theoretically learning that like Lyric and Rome are not actually broken up. But like Chuck has known this be like he's been told this before. It's like, you know, it was like a funny moment but like it's, it's. It's a bit messier than I think is it seemed to imply that one moment. And I think, I don't think he's gonna stop like hanging out with Lyric, especially if Rome goes.
Jacob
And I think Chuck could be one of those guys that like, yo, look at me. How can you not like me? I don't care. They're still kissing. She's gonna like me. Like, yeah, she's gonna like me in the end. Like, come on, when we working out, he's in there, he's getting jealous, and I like that. So I think he'll still definitely be pursuing.
Taryn

Jacob
What you watched?
Taryn
That's why. That's where I got the Casa Amore.
Jacob
I mean, I know. I knew that, but, you know, it's such a pop culture, you know, reference now, but. Okay, I like that. I like it.
Taryn
Let me tell you, Jacob, I watched all the way up into. Up until the casa more, and I still didn't know what it was until it actually happened, so. Okay, yeah, but yes, don't worry. I. I know all about Sincere.
Jacob
Oh, and can I tell you something? I. I know Sincere has been not so good of a man, but I like Sincere. I really. Oh, no, Taren, I do. I do. I like him. And I like him and Melanie together, too.
Taryn
Oh, Jacob.
Jacob
Jacob, let me stay in my delula land.
Taryn
No, we need to fix this, Jake.
Jacob
But I followed both Sincere and Melanie on Instagram. I just think he saw the. He saw the ways he was moving wrong. And I think.
Taryn
No, no, no, Jacob, you don't. Don't believe his lies, Jacob. Let me trap you.
Jacob
Well, let's Stay tuned for this.
Taryn
He had no. He had no remorse.
Jacob

Taryn
Oh, 100. Yeah.
Jacob
Okay. Yeah, let me know. I would love to join, but what's going on with me? I make music, sexy music. If you like the sound of lyric and Rome making out. That's sort of, you know, I interject that a little bit into my music. I have a new song called Jasmine by my artist named Air Horn. H e I r that's super good, super flowy, super fluid, super movable. Again, if you like it, you should let me know at air H e I r sound on all socials. And I'm here for the big brother season. I'm excited to be doing more morning updates with you, Taryn, episode recaps. I like this season and I, I like the people on this season and so, yeah, I'm excited for. For it.

Jacob
I'm ready to discuss Taryn because I. With my friends. I've been defending this man. I just, I don't know, I have a feeling that he's a. I have a feeling that he's one of the good ones. I think he got that spanking on the behind and now I just feel so. I'm ready. I'm ready. I'm ready. I'm ready.
Taryn
All right. All right. Thank you all so much for joining us. I will see all of you next time.
Hosts: Taran Armstrong & Jacob Jones
Main Focus: Day 16 of Big Brother 28 – Pre-eviction live feed recap, house dynamics, shifting alliances, growing paranoia, and upcoming HOH implications.
This episode dives deep into the critical pre-eviction dynamics on Day 16 of Big Brother 28. With Devins as HOH and the house bubbling with last-minute campaigning, Taran and Jacob break down the state of shifting alliances, mounting paranoia, and set up the stage for a pivotal HOH competition. The update covers everything from fractured friendships to unravelling side alliances, quirky house pranks, and the increasing emotional undercurrents shaping upcoming votes.
[03:11]
Jacob’s take on showmances:
“Hell no, I'm not attached to any... Rome and Lyric, I think they are cute, and I really think they like each other. But at certain points, it gets, like, weird... I do think their makeouts are pretty hot, to be honest.”
– Jacob Jones, 03:37
Jacob is not "stanning" any showmances and finds their public displays awkward. Suggests the showmances seem somewhat performative, with a focus on the Rome-Lyric dynamic.
[04:39]
[06:03]
“Everyone, especially the vets, to each other are being so open about who they're working with... everyone can kind of dip into these little pockets.”
– Jacob Jones, 08:17
[08:54-13:59]
Angela expresses worries over “too many side alliances,” forecasting that someone “is bound to be a pawn.”
Taran notes this spiral:
“They have such a strong grasp on this game, but the paranoia about Drew and... Barrett is really starting to cause them to fracture things.”
(10:31)
Drew and Barrett, the alliance’s linchpins, are paradoxically the least trusted by others, despite their loyalty:
“It’s now gotten to the point where if they [Drew/Barrett] bring them information, they don’t like the information…if they try to talk personal with them, they get annoyed... They are so lucky that Drew and Barrett are completely oblivious to this.”
– Taran Armstrong, 12:49
[17:35]
“I hate that Haley is being like this. But I also get that... I was just talking to you about this girl... and it just doesn't add up.”
– Jacob Jones, 17:55
[32:19, 34:18]
[28:01-29:41]
[43:20]
“The fact that they have Yash is huge, huge, huge.”
(48:43)
[50:59]
“If Mallory were to win an HOH, she would be nominating the vet sets and trying to pull in Drew, Melody, Yash, etc. This could be huge for the entire structure of the house.”
(50:59)
[19:49, 22:32]
[52:42-55:50]
Jacob on alliance strain:
“If I ask you, ‘Hey, Angela, what’s you and Chuck, what y’all be getting up to this weekend?’...‘So what were they saying about us?’... How do I work with that?” (13:59)
Taran on the messiness:
“It’s just... Take a breath. It’s going to be okay. You're crushing right now. You don't need to be doing all this.” (10:54)
Jacob on paranoia and relationship insecurity:
“She’s kind of like that girlfriend or boyfriend you have that... has to have a pulse on every one of her alliance members.” (36:39)
Taran on Drew’s oversharing:
“There’s nothing he gains from spilling the secret. There's no strategic benefit... This is just not good from Drew, in my opinion.” (44:56)
Jacob on repairs gone unmade:
“If the sink is leaking, instead of screwing the tubes back together, he'll just clean up the puddle, and then tomorrow it'll be back.” (42:46)
On the possibility of a twist power for Drew:
“If Drew got a power...it would cause a lot of things. Drew might completely misplay it a la Matt Hoffman.” (62:49)

The house is poised for chaos. With alliances unraveling, communication failing, and the audience likely to intervene (via a power), the coming days are essential viewing for Big Brother 28 fans.
