the drama, all the strategy and silliness from VO to HOH every single season, you know, he is the reason, you know what's happening, happening. Rob said that he could do it tomorrow. He will do it again. Hello, everyone and good morning. Welcome to our live feed update for July 28th. I'm your host Armstrong and I'm here to update you on everything that happened yesterday. The Big Brother 28 live feeds. It was day 21 in the house and I have very dramatic lighting this morning because one of my lights is not connecting. So we are here. Listen, there's a lot to talk about. There's a lot to talk about. There's a lot that happened yesterday. It started with teapots and it ended with a whole lot, lot of mess, vote flip in the works, power shifts, exposing of things accidentally and deny, deny, deny. And with me to talk through it all, it's Mike Bloom. How you doing, Mike?
A
Everybody. Terence talking strategy. Just you to know he's talking gameplay right now.
B
I don't agree with your methods. Mike, I like you as a person, but this is too much.
A
All right, well, let's go down for about an hour and a half and we come back up. It will never get done or addressed again. Who would have thought, Taryn, a tale of two different days here. We started with quite literally a bang and then it seemed like everything had quelled for the week. The nominations were decided, set in stone. And I guess much like your analogy earlier, when you get a teapot involved, inevitably something gets spilled. And so we shall talk about everything that a couple people all have had to wipe up, clean that up a little bit by the time that the late evening had expired.
B
Yes, yes, there's really, there's, there's genuinely a lot to get to. I thought today would be mostly about talking about Jason's teapot and panning, but, but actually that was some of the least interesting things that were going on throughout the day. So as you know, of course, Kamu is the hoh. He nominated Lala, Lyric and Mallory for eviction. He, then Lyric went on to win the veto. She plans to take herself off. Of course, Kamu plans to put Jason up as her replacement. And of course, as we know, the tea party happened. We talked about that yesterday on the update and last night on the round table and, and Jason is, is fully the intended target here and that has been kind of the, the, the mainstay of the week. The main intrigue has been what will happen between Mallory and Lala if Jason is to win the blockbuster? And that's because there are a lot of people that kind of want to keep Mallory, a lot of people that don't really mind Lala leaving. And so. So that's a huge part of, I think, what we're looking at today. But of course, as we have again, sort of start the day. We start the day with Mike hit it off for us.
A
Literally hitting it off. I know. I got some comments in the chat about how it obviously is not nearly as glaringly acoustic as Jason's is. I am trying to make do with what I have. I have an electric kettle. I did want to use the wooden spoon, though. And we'll see if it breaks. Much like these people. Resolved by the end. I mean, yeah, Jason with his emotional support. Teapot was incredible. You know, much like we have people clinging on to totems by the time the season reaches its middle portion. I'm thinking about, like, Paul and Pablo. Jason happened to find the teapot here. But it's more. We thought, I think, initially, Right, Taryn, that it was more so like a totem. Like when he banged it initially, he said, like, the tea is going to be spilled, but more so this is like his town crier bell. And he reveals in the morning that his entire plan is that he is trying to. I don't even know if it's like addressing Camus. Hypocrisy of the tea Party. And more so, like, I'm just going to kind of annoy people by every time I see someone have a Scotiabagame conversation, or at least I can believe it's a game conversation, I am going to be ringing that thing like, you know, the. The world's best tambourine player in a Stevie Nicks cover band. And I am going to alert the queen herself, Camu, that people are talking game. Because shouldn't he know that. That people are playing Big Brother?
B
Yes. The queen herself. The Tea Party Queen. And that's. That's really the morning. I mean, it's a lot of. Of. Of Jason kind of doing his thing and. And really annoying. In particular, Haley, who is. Is definitely the most annoyed, but she's not feeling.
A
She's not feeling very well. You know, she. It is her time of the month as well, but it is like, I feel bad for her from that aspect. On the other hand, it is a little funny to me that it cuts to her at some point the other day being like, this goes beyond him, as this speaks to him. As a person, like, this goes beyond the game. And, like, not what. Three days ago, Haley was like, well, we should get rid of Lala and keep Jason so I. We can continue to, like, emotionally torture him throughout this game.
B
Yeah. You know that. Well, that's. Listen, that's emotionally isolating somebody is very different than banging a teapot.
A
That's very true. Listen. Two sides of two very different coins. I will also say with Jason here, I think a lot of people will make the argument, at least in the initial part of the day, of, like, why is he doing this? He could have left with his head held high. And what it really reminds me of, Karen, was a lot of the discourse that was happening around Ika Wong's really, I would say, big crowning moment in her Big Brother Canada career. Yes. Which for those of you that don't know, Ika was put on the block. She was primed to go, and she was given sort of like a moral dilemma in Big Brother Canada, too. Of, okay, she could give everyone else in the house letters from home, or if she shredded the letters, she could take home, what, like, $10,000. And everyone, because Big Brother Canada is diabolical, got to watch this on their own version of the live feeds. And Ika not only shredded those letters, she did so with aplomb. And so, again, this argument of, like, Jason, why isn't he, you know, at least leaving with his dignity? Why is he not walking out with his head held high? To that, I say, as someone who probably knows Jason a little bit more familiarly than these people, concerning that. I've watched him two seasons on Drag Race. This is Jason's dignity. You know, like, if you ask any of Jason's friends who we talked to on Friday, if he decided to just tuck his tail between his legs and say, let's have, you know, fun summer camp Kikis for the next few days until I get unceremoniously voted out when I lose the blockbuster. That would be losing his dignity. That would be his slippery wiener. Instead, Jason Selena s titties is somebody who, by nature, it's not even going down without a fight. It's more so being petty to be petty. And so I think that while on their hand, they feel like I certainly wouldn't do it, it speaks to, again, perhaps the unique quality that Jason has as not only a player, but as a reality TV character. Yeah.
B
I mean, the going down kicking and screaming is kind of like the phrase. But, you know, I think it's in. It's ingrained in. In the the idea of, like, you know, if I'm gonna get swallowed, I might as well try to make them choke on me. You know what I mean? Like, it's. It's just like, not only is it better television, but the notion of, like, going down with dignity is kind of like. It's a notion perpetuated by a power structure that would prefer that you don't raise a fuss. Right? Like, that's kind of what we're talking about here. And. And, yeah, like, at the end of the day, be an Ikea, be an Angela, because these people get asked back, and if you give them television, they'll be happy about it. And. And Jason gave them television in the morning. And then I think probably after that, they were like, all right, we got enough television. Now it's time to let people talk.
A
Well, there was also a part that everyone came to a realization about in that Jason's process this morning didn't just involve the teapot or the kettle. There was also other paraphernalia involved. They slowly came to the realization that Jason had, for lack of a better term, teabagged their pillows, which I'm sort of like, okay, are we back in, like, the big brother 19 days? Like, that is very ugly behavior. But, no, he quite literally left teabags on the beds. And I love it because Angela was like, oh, my God, someone left tea bags for us. It's so cute. So sweet. They care about our vocal health. You know, everyone's coming down with something. And Haley's. No, that was Jason. And I just, like, get that filth away from me. It's the mark. It's the black spot.
B
It follows the scarlet bag. Yes. So as I said, that's. That's really the morning. Any. Any other specific Jason moments from the morning before we kind of move on from the teapot.
A
I mean, I loved the image. I talked about this on Twitter yesterday. But, like, I love the moments when Skippy kind of gets in his own feels and decides to go for, like, Oscar level of cinematography. So there's this one shot where, again, Jason is sort of like the proctor at an sat. At one point, he's, like, meandering through the kitchen, kettle and spoon behind his back, just waiting for any sort of sign of anyone, quote, unquote, talking game. But at one point, he's sitting out in the backyard, and there's this wide shot of. I think it's the Josh Barrett and Drew, right? The middlemen talking on the balcony, and Jason sitting there below, stoic as all get out. And Jason eventually gets up to walk away, and Barrett's like. Drew's like, wow, he didn't say anything to us. And Barrett's like, I guess he must really like us. Cut to Bang, bang, bang.
B
Yasha.
A
Barrett and Drew are on the balcony talking. Camu. And I'm also just a fan from an entertainment perspective of whenever we hear noise outside of the diary room, like, yes, there's a long hallway between. But I think back to the many moments that people here are in the diary room doing confessionals, and they hear something outside. So I do hope whether we get this activity being shown on Wednesday or Thursday, I hope we get to see, like, Kamu in confessional, as Jason was trying to get through, you know, the two layers of soundproofing, to tell Kamu that he was going to wait. He was going to be his lady in waiting to give him all of the gossip as soon as Kamu left the doctor.
B
Yes, good stuff. And again, really, I was like, you know, this is. This is sort of the entertainment for the day. Of course, in addition to that, there were some other things I was planning to talk about. I talked a little bit about it last night on the round table that there's some more stuff going on, especially with the Drew situation and with where the vets want to move moving forward. We've talked a lot about how the vets are obviously siding much more with Red Corner than Drew and Barrett, and that there was this whole thing where Angela and D have had this one idea of just, like, just blowing up Drew's game, having, like, a Red Corner meeting and totally throwing Drew under the bus, exposing him, and. And how they've been sort of, like, icing him out over a long period of time. And then Devin's kind of caught wind of this and was like, whoa, let's slow down. Let's not do that this week. We still need their votes. We still need their loyalty for now. Like, let's try to keep things under wraps. And that, of course, in my opinion, was the sort of better tactic because this is a pivotal point, and they do still need their votes, and they are still blindly loyal for now. And the last thing we want to do is tip them off to the fact that they are not in the power structure anymore. But there's, you know, still a lot of momentum. There's still a lot of work that's been done, and Kamu or sorry and Haley and Chuck have already been turned against Drew. The last bastion for Drew in this group I've been talking about is Kamu. And this handyman final two that he has with him. And Chuck has a conversation with Kamu in the morning because he was talking with Angela and Haley and D the night before, and Haley was saying she wants lala to. To go because she wants more of the guys to leave, like Drew. And Chuck was like, I'll do Drew. I can do that. I can do that for you guys. And so now he's talking to Kamu about, like, how he's basically going after Drew. Now he'll nominate Drew with like, Mallory, Melody. And Kamu's like, whoa. I mean, we should probably at least talk to Drew before we straight up go, like next week. Like, are we really doing that? I mean, I agree with you. Drew's kind of sketchy. I mean, I. I think I'd probably prefer to bring somebody like Yash along than somebody like Drew along. But. But maybe we, like, slow our horses a little bit here.
A
Yeah. And I think that Kamu, at least at this point. Right. You talked about this yesterday with Scally, that Kamu is in his Vanessa Russo reasons era. He needs 13 reasons why he needs to do these things. And so he. Especially given his connection with Drew, I think that does make sense. And so what he brings up to Chuck is like, Dean, Angela have also brought this up, but they haven't given me any reasons not to trust him. Put that in our cap until about, you know, nine or ten hours from now. I do want to talk about the Yash point for a second though, because obviously, incredibly interesting to have Chuck and Camus talk about how they feel like they have Yash in their pocket. As you mentioned, they say they would rather bring Yash with them than someone like Drew. Karen, I'm starting to get some Enzo 22 vibes from Yash. Enzo, because, I mean, not to say that Yash is necessarily doing anything as adamant as Enzo was with the mirroring, but I feel like if we're looking at currently the tool shed as the committee here, Josh is sort of like the side piece. He's the. The hoe leaned up against the tool shed, the hose on the side in that, like, he's not directly involved, but enough people feel like he is good enough with them that he is adjacent. Hell, they said the frickin alliance name in front of him not once, but twice. And I feel like similarly to Enzo here, as we saw with Cody, the more that this structure exists, the more that people are going to think, well, I'd much rather have this person in than the actual alliance that has been formally Created for Yash. I will stamp it. Right now, I think we are looking at Yasha's ultimate fate in the game to either be the second boot unceremoniously in a double eviction where just things go awry and he's sort of left there by default, or he's sitting in the final two. And that was very much Enzo's fate as well.
B
Yeah, I think what I would say to that is that I think that in terms of, of how people are viewing Yash right now, especially the red corner and the vets, like, I think that's probably true. I think they do see him as an extension of their group, even though he's not technically in it. Of course, in 22, Enzo was actually basically in it and knew about it. And. And I think the other thing that I think is a difference, obviously when I think of Enzo, I think he's. I think of the glue guy. I think Enzo very much the person holding things together, whereas Yash is such a solo player. But I do see the comparisons here and I think Yash is especially interesting to think about as we get into later into the night in terms of where he stands. That's one thread here, the Drew stuff, another thread, of course, the Taylor alliance, the tethers. She's going to talk to Devins in the morning about how she's kind of getting the sense that Kamu is maybe not that interested in the tethers idea because, you know, that was a whole thing that he just did last night. And Devin's is like, well, maybe we just slow our roll. Maybe we just kind of like keep it between us. We make it like a three person thing. And. And Taylor who has a whole binder is like, hold on, let me check the binder here. And this is a fake binder, but I'm not being literal. But it says in here that it's. It doesn't work with three people, it's got to be five. And that we each have a tether. And yeah, we've got like a whole set of priorities that Common was not really following last night. So, you know, this is, this is not great news for Taylor.
A
Yeah, I mean, she's essentially the one who tried to plan out the vacation ahead of time. Right. And when people are like, I don't really feel like touring the town today. Can we just stand by the pool? She's like, well, actually on day three, I already have ziplined, booked and you know, we have dinner this night with a big fire show going on. Now look, they are able to get her into something at the end of the day that Devins and Common will agree on, which is essentially a final three alliance. Like, this is the point also where Devins brings up a really interesting point and, you know, speaks to me who wholly, because I am such a Survivor and Big Brother hybrid girly here, where Devin's talks about how, you know, there's talk about all the time about how Survivor and Big Brother differ as games, but Devin says that in Survivor, whether due to the shortened time frame or the fact that only one person is, like, explicitly immune per round, you kind of feel like you have to strategize all the time. You have to feel like you're having conversations with everybody because you're essentially vulnerable. With the structure of Big Brother, where only three, four people are going to be vulnerable at any given point in time, on paper, you might be like, well, I have to talk strategy no matter what, but maybe it doesn't necessarily behoove you to do that, especially if you're trying to set up things or say things that could possibly get you in trouble later on. I just think it was a really interesting vocalization from his part and I think speaks to. As you're mentioning the fact that of the three icons, he is far and away the most conservative in terms of his gameplay.
B
And I really think he's adapting to the pace of. Of Big Brother really well this week.
A
You hear that, Julie?
B
He. He keeps mentioning that, like, hey, we've got four days, you know, when it comes to the Mallory vote, like, yeah, things aren't looking great right now, but we got four days. Like, let's just see what we can do. Slow roll it. Same thing with the Drew situation, which, again, makes a lot of sense. No reason to go full force on Drew right now. We can't do anything about it right now. Let's just, like, slow down a little bit and do things at the appropriate time. And that conversation is going to, you know, or that that mindset is going to be very apparent in the following conversation that we talk about. But first, before we get to that conversation, we do officially have the veto ceremony, where.
A
Yeah. Which is very fun because the feeds go down as Haley is sitting there, right? Being like, if he bangs that kettle around my head one more time. And not two seconds later, Jason's like, clay, Clay. Clang went the trolley. And then the feeds went down to pets. And for a second I was like, oh, did things pop up for a second? Like, I know there was a lot of comparisons between Jason and Josh, like, did Haley go full mark here? You know, not wearing the tutu? Unfortunately, she didn't do that veto. But it turned out that it was just down super early for the. The veto ceremony, which it seems like, from what they were recalling to us, Taryn, and we'll find out on Wednesday, did seem to have a little bit of fun showmanship to it.
B
Yes. And of course, as expected, Jason was put on the block in place of Lyric, who took herself down. So no surprise there. But Devin has this conversation with Kamu up in the HOH room, and. And Kamu essentially is like, listen, listen, Devin, let me just. Let me just lock the door real quick. What are your thoughts on Drew? Because I keep having people come up to me. Like, Dee's been saying things, Haley saying things, and now, of all people, Chuck is coming up to me this morning talking about Drew. But the thing is, they never have anything concrete that they have. Like. Like Chuck said this morning that his spidey sense was telling him something was off about Drew. Like, there's never any actual evidence. Haley said. Haley told me about the Four Seasons, but he. Which he did tell me about, but, like, you know, he said that was like a one conversation thing, and nothing ever came of it, which is true. Like, how are you? What do you think about this Drew situation? And. And Devin's just very clearly lays it out that's like, no, he hasn't done anything concrete to. To go against this. In fact, I do trust Drew. However, I do see the position that Drew is in. Right. And I think this is maybe what's setting them off, this spidey sense thing right there. They see that Drew is everywhere. They see that Drew has options that we don't have. And maybe a good example of this is the vote right now, because obviously, Drew has some incentive to keep Mallory around over lala, because Mallory, she wins an hoh. She's not coming after Drew. She's coming after us. And that's our problem, not a Drew problem. And if he votes Mallory out, he exposes himself to the other side that he's working with, and then they might be mad at him and come after him. So that's a him problem. And so, you know, I do think he's loyal to us, but I think this vote might actually be a good, like, sort of test of where he actually stands. And I think he's with us. I think he will vote with us. But at the end of the day, he is the one in this position, and he is. Has these connections that he's gonna have to manage. And I think they fear that he might jump ship with them. And hey, maybe he might. We need to keep an eye on it. But. But I think, like, that's where this is coming from. And it's. It's such a great framing device, in my opinion, because obviously Devins really wants Mallory to go if Jason wins the blockbuster. And he's basically pushing all of this onto Camu. Like, hey, Drew, not voting out Mallory would be a betrayal to you because it serves Drew's interests and not yours and helps put Kamu in between him and the Mallory vote, where Kamu is the blocker, not Devin's. And in addition to that raises some actual real reasons to be a little sus on Drew that don't have anything to do with person, like, personality or like, like, oh, I'm worried he's whispering about me, but instead have everything to do with just the position that Drew was in. Drew's position is bad for us because he benefits when we are in trouble. And it's. This is all very good stuff. And, and you can literally see the gears turning and things starting to shift in Kamu's mind about Drew as Devin explains all of this.
A
So I'm curious because obviously this is far from as common will allude to the first time nor the last time that he'll be approached with this information about, or at least suspicions about Drew. What do you think is the primary difference between what Devin's is pitching and what Angela and D have been pitching? Is it the reasons concept? Is it the, you know, the Angela and D trying to sort of put the cart before the horse versus Devin's kind of observing things that have already happened.
B
I think there's. There's like two or three major things here. I think one of them is 100. Exactly what I was just saying, which is like, this idea that, you know, when D brings it up or when Angela brings it up or whoever, they're like, we don't. We don't trust Drew. He's shady. Do you see him, like, going like, do you see him walk around that corner? He's always, always joining the conversations with us. There's something just so off about Drew. We don't trust him. You shouldn't trust him. But the problem with that line of argument is that Camus is in a final two with Drew, and Drew tells Kamu about a lot of the things that he's doing. And so the idea that Kamu can't trust Drew falls flat with Kamu a lot now, the fact that, like, four different people told him got him finally to be like, maybe I should look at this. And he asked Devens. But then another part of it too, is that by saying, we don't trust Drew, do you see how sketchy he is? Maybe we should target Drew. They're exposing their own position with Drew in a way that if Kamu decided to, he could completely out them and. And mess up their entire games, whether intentionally or not intentionally, just by having a conversation with Drew. And then the third thing is the way that they handle Drew themselves, where they haven't been talking to Drew, they've been like, every time he joins a conversation, they're visibly annoyed. They haven't had a crossovers meeting in ages because they don't like the crossovers anymore. And just a bunch of things that Drew should be picking up on and it should be backfiring on them. He just hasn't yet. And one of the main reasons he hasn't yet is because Devins is taking a different approach to every one of these points. He's continuing to talk to Drew and Barrett a lot. He's. They are really, really trusting of Devins because he's the one that has been holding on to their trust. If not for Devin's, in my opinion, they probably would be completely long gone. Barrett's already halfway gone in addition to that, because Devin isn't saying things like, I don't trust. He's. In fact, he's saying, I do trust Drew. I think he is with us. The problem is just where he's positioned in the game. That actually gives K pause, because even if K trusts Drew, he recognizes while his position is here. Okay, I see now if something went wrong, Drew might jump ship. Drew is not as valuable to me anymore if his interests don't align with mine because his position is so different than mine. And so, like, there's that too. And that gives Devin's much more plausible deniability when. When or if Kamu relays this information to Drew. Ah, Devins trusts you. Unlike D, Angela, Haley, Chuck or whatever. He doesn't want to come after you. But yeah, he mentioned, like, your position. Right. Like, it's. It's a very different thing for that information to be relayed. So those are, like, I think the three primary main differences. And I think they really make such a huge difference. And then I guess the fourth and final difference is still timing. Evans is still talking about, like, this is a thing that we should be focused on in the long term. And he's as he slowly pulls Kaamu away from Drew in the hopes that when the time comes to strike, all the pieces are lined up and Drew just sinks very quickly. Whereas what Angela was hoping to do was like, let's do this right now. Which would give Drew a lot of time to potentially rebound for it to get out to Drew, for him to flip that flip against them in the vote for all kinds of bad things to happen. So that's. That's the fourth and final dimension.
A
I. No, I love it. Thank you so much for expounding upon that. I think also with this particular pitch, it shows that show don't tell is one of the most unifying rules of not only these types of shows, but the known universe stories that are being told. And that again, Angela and Dee are approaching Camus being like, drew's doing this, Drew's doing that, and Devin's is doing this to a certain extent, but he's framing it from the lens of like, I'm just going to put this on your radar, like, why don't you observe? And to be fair, Angela is going to initially tell Camus later on when she goes up to the HOH room and is like, hey, why don't you go out test Drew a little bit. She then follows it up with a big tell, very big tell in more ways than one. But I think that that is probably the primary way to approach these, especially for someone with like Kamu, who is so evidence based seemingly in the way that he is going to not necessarily make these moves unless he feels like he has the rationale to do so. Both him as a person, I suppose, and the fact that it is only week three in the game. And so, yeah, it's a very nice, I think, analysis of Kamu from the part of Rick Devins to be like, this is a man who needs to see things with his own two highs to actually believe them. Yes.
B
They go on to talk about the Taylor alliance. Devin's warns Kamu that he's like, yeah, Taylor was saying that you didn't seem like you were that into it. And so they discussed the idea of like, why don't we just make this a three person thing? And Kamu loves this idea as well. Like, that makes so much more sense. They can just kind of like have Taylor as a side alliance essentially and they don't have to tell anybody about it. Another great thing to help build a relationship between two people, a shared secret. They're not going to tell anybody about this Taylor thing they have. Kamu hasn't told anybody. And Devin's says he hasn't told anybody. Of course he has told D. But Kamu doesn't know that. And so now it's like, now the two of us secretly have Taylor and. And. And Devin's really like sells this too. Like. Yeah. And the great thing about somebody like Taylor is that if, you know, Dee and Angela or Haley or Chuck or whoever want to try to take a shot at us, they're probably gonna go to somebody like a Taylor and then Taylor will actually secretly be with us because they don't know that we have this relationship with Taylor and she'll be able to give us a heads up. And. And Kamu's like, oh, yes, this is great. Kamu not completely off the Drew train. And this is important to. To know. Like, this is. This is meant to be slow work. The way that the Devins is approaching this is still saying like, and like, you know, backup plan. Worst case scenario, we can make like a final three with Drew, something along those lines. And Devin's just kind of brushes past that idea. Doesn't sort of give it any air. But. But they are super excited about this Taylor plan. And. And Kamu says to Devin's like, dude, honestly, at this point, you're like my number one guy in this house. And Devins doesn't believe this, but I believe it.
A
Okay.
B
I think he is being 100 honest here. I think that he has surpassed Drew. I think he's actually being honest when he says he barely talks to Chuck because he does barely talk to Chuck. They are not on the same page. And you know, who else. Who else could it be at this point? I think that Kamu has. And you know, Kamu has already shifted from Drew to Devin. So it's. He's certainly shift the ball bowl. And in general, Kamu is pretty easily manipulated, I would say, especially from somebody like Devin's. So he certainly could be manipulated in another. Another direction as well. But I think for now, I think this is true. I think that he really is like, I think Devin's is my guy. I've got Taylor with him. I'm locked in the red corner. He's right. Drew is in a different position. But Devins and I are sharing the same fate. A similar fate. And Devins also makes a pitch to that says, like, the reason I'm so loyal to the red corner is that in my seasons of Survivor, I'm always the big target that gets taken out at the end. I need all these other big targets around me to even Have a chance to. To. To make my case to a jury. Yeah, yeah, that makes sense. That makes sense.
A
Yeah. And that's the thing, too. That doesn't hurt that he's buttering Kamu's ego up a little bit too. Right. And being like, wow, you're such a big threat, so of course I want to work with you. Also feeds again, perhaps some of the. The views that come who has about the game. I think he says to a certain point, like, I want to run it down to the red corner. I'd be fine losing to any of you. You know, think about how epic it would be to have a day two alliance make their way to the end. That's the sign of a great season. Like, yeah, Comu. I mean, season 16, season 22, the back half of season 20, really a mountain. Rushmore 19, just really like the highlights across over a quarter century of Big Brother. But yeah, it is. It's really interesting. And I think that we often underestimate the appeal in these games of having a number one ally that you can just bounce ideas off of. You know, I think we get. There's a lot of questions, especially as of late, as to like, why does. Why is D so closely associated with Angela when she knows that she's bad for her game? But like, I think especially in these environments where inherently you're supposed to be, feel isolationist and mistrusting of everyone around you because they are financially incentivized to lie to you. Like, the appeal of having someone who you feel like shares the same level of thinking as you or the same realm of thoughts as you is invaluable, but not in sort of the Chuck variety of like, I'm just going to be a mirror and bounce things back to you, refract that light back into your eyeballs. So I think that Kamu, especially if he feels like he is living right now, yes, firmly ensconced within an alliance, but that he's not really close to anybody at this moment when he has someone like Devin's sit him down and be like, I'm going to reason with you here, man. I'm not going to come in with like, you know, walking around like a chicken with my head cut off. Here's what I'm thinking. You do with it what you will. Let's have this thing going on with Taylor as well. Let's give ourselves options so that even if you don't want to run it down to the end with the red corner, like, we've got something else going on I think that Khan was like, this is a level headed guy that I can talk game with at any time and we can get on the same page. Which again, it's all about approach with these things. It sucks because oftentimes that really comes down to perception and that's something that's really getting Drew in trouble as you mentioned before, the way that he goes about some types of conversations. And so sometimes when Rick Devins is just like the down to earth approachable dad from Macon, Georgia who's just here to have a fun time, that can really help you get in good with a lot of people and make you feel like he's the guy that can hear you out.
B
Yeah. I mean not to, to drive this point too hard but like, you know, Drew I think is a, is a charming guy. A kid I should really say. But like he is young and that is I think one of his problems here. But also like he's a charming kid in that he, he loves cracking jokes. He loves like, you know, those funny jokes about like, like yeah, actually I'm gonna backdoor you.
A
Yeah.
B
Because like it's, it's, it's funny. Whereas Devin's is just such a level, steady, comforting presence. Like to be around Devin's, you're never on edge. I don't think despite his antics as hoh it's, it's very much like a more sort of like, yeah, like trustworthy kind of feel. Whereas Drew kind of always keeps you on edge, which is part of like again his charm but also in the game. I don't think it helps him a whole lot. But speaking of, of duos, of, of people that you can put your full trust in. Devin's goes into debris, debriefs this whole situation with debriefs his debrief his true final two partner here, he gives her the full rundown on his entire conversation with Kamu. Things are going very well. He thinks that they're doing very well and like keeping an eye on Drew and making sure that his options are, are limiting, starting to like be limited over time and that this slow approach is going to be very good for them. They're going to continue to move forward with the red corner for now at least. And who knows, it's not like they need to like commit to actually going to final six with them. If they do want to pull in like a Barrett toward the end to help take some heat or to take some shots at red corner, that's still an option. Drew obviously needs to be dealt with at some point. She. He tells her about the Taylor situation and he tells her about, like, how he said, oh, de will have to go to Taylor in order to take a shot at us. And how he really, like, they're like, man, if Devin says D, if you get a power next week, like,
A
I mean, we'll be unstoppable facing, yeah, that never not pass pencil D in for the final two. Best player ever. I mean, listen, again, I'm incredibly biased from this perspective, but I love whenever these two talk because it kind of feels like I'll make a Survivor comparison here. It's like the vast majority of season 46 when it was Charlie and Maria as sort of like this duo of kind of like two straight men amidst a whole group of wackadoodles around them. Or like they would connect behind the scenes and be like, well, we're living in a cuckoo clock right now, but, like, I just want to check in with you. Like, we're cool, right? Like, let's reason through everything that's going on here. And so I do love having the two of them connect here, be able to sort of again, give a download on everything that's happening. And I think that they brought. Bro both brought up some really interesting points here. Like, I really like Devin's talking about how he's going to keep denying that he has the power even if everyone assumes that he does. And you've spoken about like, how tough that's going to be. But one of the things that it does is that if he does admit that he has the power, that elicits a good amount of follow up questions like, how long does it work for? What is it? And so to avoid any sort of line of that thinking and avoid getting yourself trapped in giving people a bunch of different forms of information, if he just denies outright, it's not going to move the needle. No one's going to necessarily believe him. But it does prevent other people from trying to dig deeper into what exactly that is.
B
Yes. And I liked this logic and it's such Survivor logic, right? Like, yep, if I pieces, like, even if people suspect that I have it and think that I'm lying to them and it's better for me to continue to deny because if I admit it, then, yeah, they'll ask me what it is and then I'll either have to deny to not tell them that, which then makes it pointless that I told them the truth in the first place, or give them the full details of the power, which feels to him like giving up, like the secrets of the trade, like, like how to counteract it potentially, which I think has some validity to it. I still think that in the event that like, before using the power, it is still worth using the, the perception of the power to. To avoid using the power. And I do still think he might think of that when the time comes. But for now it's part of why he is in denial mode. So let's. We'll fast forward a little bit here because the rest of the day starts kind of to play out as you might expect. There's some conversations here and there, but things really start to pick up. First of all, we'll kind of put a bow on the Taylor thing. Kamu talks to Taylor about the final three situation. She says she is down to do it. So, you know, we'll see how much again, how much maintenance and effort is put into this Taylor thing and if, if it even stays valid throughout the entire situation. Oh, another part of the Devins and D conversation of course is mentioning that because Devins was able to pitch this Mallory thing to Camus that they might actually be able to have the votes. Camus says he would be willing to break a tie to evict Mallory over Lala and that means that they just need six. And if they don't have the votes, then, yeah, they might have to abandon ship. But they think they might be able to, especially with Camu pushing and they think, oh, we forgot Taylor. Taylor would be a vote to keep lala. That's because Taylor's really close to Lala. And in addition to that, of course Kamu and Devin's just made this final three thing with. With Taylor. So there's kind of two angles to, to push Taylor in the direction that they want. As long as they have Taylor, they have the votes regardless of what Drew and Barrett do. And, and that's a worry because the world where Drew and Barrett decide, screw it, let's flip and blindside them is a very bad one if they don't have the votes, which is why they're so willing to back down if they feel the other side has the vote. But as of right now, they feel very good that they have the numbers that they need and that they can start pushing in the direction that they want for this vote.
A
Yeah, I really liked as well D talking this conversation not to again languish too much within this little sit down between the two. But her talking about how, listen, if we end up going for Mallory and Drew and Baird are pissed off. Like, I am more than happy to take the Blame, you know, if we're going back to the rationale of it all, let's go back a couple weeks when Mallory has been talking my name up and down these BB streets about how she's going to put me up. So I wanted to lead the charge to get rid of her. I mean, first off, again, that's such a big appeal. It's a reason why I think when we talk about yes, Devins was theatrical in his nomination speech, it still endeared him to the alliance because there was this perception of like, I'm taking one for the team, you know, like, you can, baby, come back, you can blame it all on me. Don't you worry, like, lay this on my feet. But it's not like I'm sticking my neck out because then I can assign this logic to it and make it make a little bit more sense. But this also feels like a little something out of these playbook too, where again, one of the reasons why she really started to get going in Survivor 45 is because her narrative was if someone was talking about her, if she caught wind that someone was going to go after her, that's it. Their time in the game was numbered. Happened with Caleb, it happened with Kendra, and we kept going and going from there. And so I think Dee is someone who is really able to do well at like, not only clocking when she's being regarded as a threat, but nipping that in the bud as well. And so this feels to me very reminiscent of what she did so successfully in her first season, which is again, this, this double edged sword of, okay, we can get rid of somebody who is a threat to this game. But it also doesn't make me necessarily stick out as like, all right, well, D's the one that's leading this thing. It's more so that, like, hey, I had a specific reason to get out. Mallory, we can still work together. Sorry, we disagreed on this vote, but I had my reasons for going after her.
B
We'll see. This is, this is going to be very relevant as we move forward because this, this starts to happen during the roundtable last night that Melody and Mallory are talking about the vote and Mallory already believes that she should have the votes to stay against Lala. This is because she believes she has D and Angela. Angela was promised her D, who is now also promised her in addition to Drew and Barrett and Lyric and Melody and plenty of people that would keep her safe over Lala if D and Angela are on board. And this kind of gets Melody thinking, wait a minute. If we do. We do. We also have the votes to keep Jason. What if we do? What if we could we keep Jason? Should we keep Jason? I think we should keep Jason. And Mallory's like, you know what? I'd be open to that, be open to that idea. Basically the idea is like, we keep Jason. He's a shield, he's a target. He's gonna win comps. Like, this would be good. Lala doesn't do anything for our game. Why not keep Jason? Yeah, he's a bit of a wild card but like, this kind of makes sense. Barrett joins the conversation. They pitch it to him, he's like, ah, he's such a wild card though. And they're like, yeah, but he's a shield. He's a shield. No. And then Yash joins the conversation and Yash is like, I'd be down. Let's do it. This makes sense to me. And they mentioned like, they just basically need Taylor and if they have Taylor, who has already implied that she might be on board, we could, we could fully blindside the other. We don't even have to tell them. In fact, we shouldn't tell them. We should make this, we should flip this vote, blindside the other side, keep Jason and then win the. Win the next hoh. Screw that other side. They've never even touched the block. Let's do this bang up job.
A
Kamu really deciding to declare a house meeting to have nobody work with Jason. Truly, you succeeded in every sense of the 20 minute comm monologue you went on over the course of that evening. I mean, this is incredibly exciting, right? This is something that Jason was outright saying the previous. I forget if you and Scally talked about it. Like at a certain point Jason was like, hey, these eight people were together in the HOH room. The rest of us are just being lined up to essentially get fired upon by the communal firing squad. Let's do something about that. And not to say that like that necessarily woke everybody up. I think it was more so Melody talking about weaponizing Jason and not to say that like he, the antics he was doing this morning was like really, you know, making Melody realize that he is someone who can be utilized to take out people that she wants to take out. At the same time, there is something to perhaps in a weird, demented Dr. Will fashion, making the target on yourself so big that it is invisible that, hey, if Jason is somebody who can win comps and especially I think the thing that at least wins over Yash in this moment especially is that they can use him to take out Chuck and Haley that specifically Jason, I guess had said that he was going to go for the cool kids portion, which makes Yash in particular light up because the Chuck GPT Taryn perception is strong in this man.
B
Yeah, there was a long conversation that Yash had with Kamu and Chuck earlier in the day and Yash is just not feeling Chuck like many people in the house. And, and he's been, you know, and he's been with Drew, who also doesn't like Chuck all that much. And I think Yash also is recognizing, you know, he's been with Drew in this idea of like playing both sides and keeping both sides strong. And he really likes this idea of keeping both sides strong. He's always been down for the idea of keeping both Jason and Mallory. I think he didn't know that it was possible to do that with the votes and not just the veto. But when this idea, you know, appears in front of him, he's like, yes, this makes a lot of sense. He wants to keep both sides strong. And so Yash is, is. Is on board with this idea at this point. And, and so, you know, I talked about this on the roundtable and I think the, I mean, the thing I mentioned too is like, when you're in power, big confrontations and blow ups, not that great for you generally because they can get people's minds spinning in different directions. And I think this is a good example of that. So the thing is, they talk about this being a blind side. This is never going to be a blind side. This was never going to be a blindside in the way that they were talking about it. That's because it doesn't behoove Barrett in any way for it to be a blind side, in my opinion. Barrett comes away from this conversation thinking, okay, there's actually a big swell to make this potentially happen. I'm going to use this as a way to try to push D in the direct D and the rest of the crossovers in the direction that I want, which is keeping at least Mallory. He's not even, I think, completely sure on the Jason point himself. But so he goes and he talks to D about this. And a lot of people, I Barrett, he ruined the blind side. He exposed it to D. And, and I do get that, especially because I agree, I think that he should be doing this regardless. He should be siding with them regardless, at the very least. But I also do think that of course he should. He should be doing it without blindsiding them if he can do it. And keep them on the on his side. That is infinitely better for him than blindsiding them for the sake of it blind. Saying blindsiding them only helps, you know, the melodies and the mallories of the world, not the Barretts of the world.
A
That is exactly it. And look, as they were sitting there conspiring in the backyard, I was trying to, like, do my own personal betting system. It's like, okay, who's going to blab first? It's going to be Barrett. Is going to be Josh. Lyric, like, comes in, sits down for a second, is like super nonchalant. They say, oh, would you want to actually flip the votes? Like, yeah, sure, why not? And then walks away. I'm like, oh, boy. All right, who's going to spill first? Because again, one of the things that Jason was expressing is that this is less so a divided house and more so crabs in a bucket of. Here's this structure. It's essentially a bunch of people competing to make sure that they are being included enough to not necessarily be the next target lined up here. And so this is the frustrating thing about these games is that knowing what we know, which is that Barrett and Drew have been largely disregarded by so many people on one side of the house, yeah, it makes sense to draw that line in the sand, but Barrett doesn't even know that he's playing in the sand at this point. And so to your point, it makes so much sense for him to do this because in a perfect world, he would keep Mallory first and foremost and he would keep these other two sides relatively in, like, getting rid of lala would continue to stoke the flames. They're going on. Even if it's just. Even if Jason doesn't necessarily side with them completely, he's still a massive black hole of drama that exists that, you know, is able to always serve as someone who will always be on the block over somebody like Barrett. And especially again, if Barrett feels like there are outs in the crossovers and ideally, in a game like Big Brother where anyone can hold power at any point in time, you want to make sure you're good with as many people as possible. I think that one of the many reasons that had Barrett doing this is that he could see the vision of making this blind side happen, flipping the votes, leaving the rest of the crossovers in the dark, and then it's a Devin's hoh next week and then you get caught flat footed and yeah, you have the numbers, but as has been proven over the past few weeks, that all means diddly Squat. If the people you are now turning on are in power once more, and
B
not for nothing either, I think that this plan has more chance of actually working if Barrett and Drew are able to flip D and Evans with the strength of the plan and the numbers, like, they've been talking about backing down multiple times because they've. They were worried they didn't have the numbers. Just earlier today, during that D and Devin's conversation, at least when it comes to the Mallory vote, they were like, we don't have the numbers. We're just going to have to lean into it. And then they were like, wait, we have Taylor, we have the numbers. Let's push. But if they don't have Taylor and they know that and there's a big push from the other side that this is going to happen, they might decide to lean into it. And if they decide to lean into it, then the vote happens, period. If they are left out and they are anti, if they are on the other side of this push, all it takes is one lyric, one Yash, one anybody, to bail on this plan, and the whole thing falls apart. So in many ways, it could strengthen the plan to do this. Now, I say all of this not because I think that, like, Barrett's doing a great job of what he's doing, but the. The act of talking to D itself, I do not think was as big a deal. I think as it may, it's being made out to be. Now, what I will say is I am fully with everyone else when it comes to. He'd better go ahead and do this. In general, though, he'd better not back down thinking that he's good with the crossovers and take out Jason or, God forbid, Mallory in a vote like this, when he absolutely should be keeping both of them in, in any scenario, and he should draw lines in the sand if he has to. I completely agree with that. And so, and I. And. And ultimately that's. I think, what. What people are worried about, that the. That the fact that he went to D means he's not going to do that. And I don't think the fact that he. That he went to D means he's not going to do it. But that also doesn't mean that I think he's gonna do it.
A
Yeah, I mean, he outright says, like, DS at one point, like, thank you for bringing this to my attention. Are you gonna do it? And he is truthful. He says, I don't know. It's not like he denies it outright. I don't think we're Necessarily. We're not going full Adam Pac here, people. Okay. I think that. And I think that, I mean, for many reasons, if Torres Spelling gets even an inch within this house, then we know it's over. But I think that, you know, we have a little bit of a history of, especially in a mix season, being like, well, this is it. Vet steamroll. But I think that Barrett has also looked at some of the playbook that has existed in previous winners. And listen, I don't think we can necessarily have this conversation yet about whether this would be a cast, that Allah BB14 would look at a returnee led endgame and be like, we don't want these people to necessarily win the game. But I think that Barrett knows at this point, as he has for the first couple of weeks of this game, that keeping the vets at least in the know is a good way to maintain these relationships rather than abandoning them outright. Now, is it frustrating, given what we know, again, that they have pretty much like already exiled him from it? Yes, totally. Information asymmetry is unfortunately one of the the key points of frustration in Big Brother. It feels like you're Matthew McConaughey in that infamous gif or you're yelling behind the window wanting them to do something. It also doesn't help that, you know, when he's talking to Yash, it seems like he's not necessarily on board to do it. And I personally think that while Josh seemed to be surprisingly vocal about the idea in the moment, mostly because it seemed like it was going after Chuck, I would imagine that at least some of his buy in was this idea of, okay, Barrett and Drew are definitely in. And for what it's worth, Drew is even more not into this idea than me.
B
He hasn't even been told yet in our timeline.
A
And the second that he does, Drew's like, no, we're not doing that. So I think that it's like you said, it's a set of intricate dominoes. You have to have buy in from all seven of these people. And the fact that three of them are part of that seven is not necessarily a good thing because if at least one person disagrees, then that group goes with it and then the whole house goes with it as well.
B
Yeah. The idea of keeping Jason at all might seem not worth it to bear it. There's a. There's an argument to be made that it isn't. I think that the circumstances are more dire than he realizes, and if he realized it, he might. That might adjust his calculation. But. But that's that's where we're. So he asked him what he thinks. He mentions that they think they have Taylor and she's like, they think they have Taylor. They think they can get Taylor. That's interesting to me. And of course that matters to D. The Barrett does talk to Drew about it and Drew is like, keep Jason. What are we talking about here? He's not really into the idea. Barrett talks to Yash about it. Yash does still advocate for this idea. He says, let's draw a line in the sand. I like I'm. He says, I'm leaning toward keeping Jason, but we should not talk to Devins about this yet because obviously Devin's is not like on board with this idea. So Yash continuing to make a push in this direction. In the meantime, Haley continues to make a pitch to take out Lala. She's doing her whole, I, I want to take shots at the guys. It's funny because Drew is in the conversation and Drew's like, which guys? After Jason leaves, it's not really any guys left other than me.
A
Yeah, I mean, that's, I mean, that's one of the reasons why I think, like, while the optics were terrible on Kamu's part to nominate three women, it's like, yeah, I mean, he is low key in an alliance or has an understanding with every other guy in the house. So that's tough when you, you try to use that pitch as well. Going back to Drew and Barrett as well. Just, just for a second here. I think another reason why I'm more frustrated at Barrett than Drew from this is that Barrett is, I think, more cognizant of how on the bottom he is. Right. He is Mr. F the tool shed. He is Mr. Like, you know, I don't have anything going on with Kamu. Drew at least has the, perhaps until today understanding with Kamu that, like, okay, I have that in with the red corner side of things. Barrett doesn't really have, for lack of a better term, that tether with the cool kids trio. And so again, you would think that that social understanding would make him realize more and more that there's a much better ship that he could hop on rather than the. The sort of junk boat that he'd get pulled behind. We'll see how the day evolves. Again, he was just given this information yesterday and now it is only Tuesday. But, you know, if we're talking about Drew and Barrett being mistaken, being incredibly in the dark about how much the returnees or the vets have turned on them, I think that it's a little more understanding coming from Drew than it is from Barrett.
B
Understanding from Drew based on his own perception? Yes, based on his position. Less understanding.
A
Yeah.
B
Because Drew is an even more dange than Barrett is. Yash, Barrett, Melody and Mallory are going to spend a lot of time in the bathroom kind of talking this through, discussing that Drew might not be super on board. Yash says we should try to convince him. Like, Yash really wants this to happen. Melody is concerned that he might not be on board. Like, this guy. Like, what are we doing here? And they should at least have the votes to keep Mallory, though. Like, D and Angela are on board, right? Barrett. And Barrett says yes, that's what they're saying. But Yash is like, you trust that? Yeah, I was like, what do you mean? Like, I. Listen, Angela and D were lying to Jason all week last week. They were going to keep him if Rome won the blockbuster, but they were not. Like, they could absolutely be lying to you.
A
And
B
Mallory's like, I don't think so. I don't think so. And of course, Barrett's not going to tell them the truth because that would expose his insider information. So he continues to. To back that up. So they. They do still think that's probably fine, but they're like, you know, maybe you should go talk to them, Mallory, just to, like, you know, continue to work on those relationships and stuff. And so Mallory does go and talk to Angela and she backs off of this like, I'm nominating the vets stance. Like, I was only saying D to go, like, tit for tat. And, you know, it's not really where my head is at anymore. And Angela continues to, like, give her advice and comfort her, but at the end of the conversation, like, and Mallory never, ever tell Drew anything that we say about in our conversations. Okay? Okay. No, I don't. So, yeah,
A
it's gonna be a situation where, like, I could see it plain as day. Angela wins HOH next week and decides to formally move forward with backdooring Drew. And then Drew's like, oh, I know, I'm gonna get back door by you. And Angela a la como is like, how does he know the plan? It's like, well, you are low key telling everyone you know that exists under the sun that don't tell Drew anything. He's not to be trusted. Your. Your hand at this point has all the cards facing around how you feel about this boy, with the exception of the boy proper, who you're more than happy to save face with. But, yeah, I Mean, it's a nice little. It's a nice little. It's her own, Mark writes. Her own tea bag that she's leaving on Mallory's pillow at this point of like, hey, by the way, if you're going to work with me, just one rule. This is a Drew less household we operate under. Okay? You leave your Drews at the door before you walk on my carpet.
B
And it's. It's important to note that Angela's own teapot is starting to boil over. Over the course of the night, she's getting more and more frustrated with just watching Drew in the backyard. She's just like, he's in conversations, he's doing his thing. And she's just like, she's just steaming through this. And in the meantime, Drew is going to talk to D. And in his conversation with D, he talks about the. This. The plan that. That seems to be taking place, but does advocate, like, I think this Mallory thing is happening. Like, I think that it's just, like, time to get on board. And I think it could make some sense for us as well, especially if we can get her to aim at the cool kids and not at you guys. And D falsely says she's open to it. Of course, like, she sees the argument, maybe we should have a crossovers meeting and see, you know, how we all feel. And so, so that conversation, you know, happens, and. And this, like, the. It kind of evolves over the night and. And Angela and D have a conversation in just a moment. Before that happens, Melody and Lyric are talking with Jason about this potential flip. He says he's aiming at the cool kids, not the vets. Like, that's what he needs to be saying in order to make this happen. Melody, like, floats this idea that, like, I think we can maybe have the votes to keep you. I'm not sure. And so, like, this is still progressing over here. In the meantime, Angela, who just had that conversation with Mallory, is like, d, I do really think we should work with Mallory. I think that, like, we really have something here. And Dee's like, angela, Drew was just pitching that to me. Drew was just saying that we should keep Mallory. And Andrew's like, what? I just don't you think we should keep Mallory? Like, you don't want to do what Drew wants, though, do you? Like that? Like, that's, like, really what Drew's been up to. And Andrew's like, you're so right. We. We have to get rid of Mallory. We. We can't keep Mallory if, if. If that's. If that's gonna help Drew. So you know what? I think he's got a final two with Kamu. I think he nailed that one.
A
Yeah. Again, maybe when it comes to her reads broken clock twice a day, etc. Etc. I love this rationale that Dee has stumbled upon where it's like two same sides of a magnet. You know, like, if you want Angela to do something, just say that Drew wants to do the opposite of, like, hey, I want her to get rid of Mallory. So let's say that Drew wants to keep rally. Now, look, Drew is not going to help himself at all with what he's about to do later on in front of Camu. But it's such as long as Drew exists in the game, it's just such a perfect way to be able to. To guide Angela to do certain things of just saying. And especially because she could use the perception of Drew of, like. Well, Drew's everywhere. I heard him whispering the other day about how he wants to do this. And from Angela's perspective, not a lot of fact checking needs to be done. You know, you could say, like, well, Drew decided that blonde hair is actually the most appealing hairstyle for a woman. And Angela's going to shy shave her head and dye it black tomorrow because the last thing she wants to do is sort of be within the same realm of belief as that man.
B
Yeah. And so Drew ends up in a conversation with Dean Angela where he's pitching the Mallory idea to both of them. And I think this is just too much for Angela. She can't handle it. Drew's now the reason why she needs to get rid of Mallory. He ruins everything. And so she decides that she needs to do something about it. And she heads upstairs and she meets with Kamu in the hoh room. And she says, camu, Drew is playing us. He's trying to get Mallory to stay. Okay. Oh, my God. I just. I need to tell you this. My heart is going a mile a minute right now. He's. He's. I'm just telling you, he's got that whole side. He's got that whole side. He's trying to. He's trying to. You should. You should hear him trying to play me and D. You should hear him. You should hear him. I'm telling you. And. And Kama's like, whoa, whoa. Like, what. What's going on? He was trying to keep Mallory. He's like, against. Against what you want. And he's like, like, right, like just now. Yes. He's been talking to me. And. And what he's saying, like, oh, okay. I mean, I guess I, I'll go out. And he's about to leave, and she goes, I wait, I have, I have to tell you something else. He's talking about later in the game that he wants to go after this. Like, did he mention us by name? Because this Kamu's like, like, he said he was coming after me. Really?
A
Yeah.
B
She goes, no, he said the red corner. He said, so the name Red Corner. Yes, he did. How does he know that? I don't fucking know. I don't fucking know. He said the red corner. I think he did. Are you sure? Yeah, I'm pretty sure. By name? He said red corner. I'm pretty sure. Dang. And it's at this point that Angela realizes, oh, I, I, I don't know. I, I don't know. What? Wait a minute, wait a minute. Me and D. Me and D were talking about red corner. So maybe that's, maybe that's what. Okay, maybe that's. Maybe that's what it was. Yeah, I, I don't think he said. I don't think he said it. I think maybe it was. Me and D were having that conversation. So it was, that was he. I don't think he said it. All right. Okay. So he didn't say it? No, I don't think, I don't think so. I don't think. I don't think so. Yeah, just, you know, I. Listen, I, I just want, I just want you to know he's a very shifty boy.
A
Okay. Granted, the setting for all this was that Kamu eventually came out to the backyard to talk with Angela and Dee and Drew, and they're talking about, like, okay, who would you want to get rid of? Drew's been very fancy. Fence or chain of. Like, I could really go for either. And then Kamala's like, I've got to go get my mic. I think it's in the hoh room. And Angela's like, God damn, this is the time. And like Jesse Owens, she takes off upstairs and decides to this. There is so much to unpack here. Taren, let me start with just a general question. Is Angela Murray the most impulsive player in Big Brother history? This felt like a decision that was made not out of sleeplessness, not out of paranoia, but 100% ID.
B
She did say later that she's tired and that she shouldn't do anything when she's tired.
A
What do you think Big Brother is? It's one long exercise in sleep deprivation. That's like saying, oh, I shouldn't be operating any heavy machinery while I'm taking this medication and taking a whole pill bottle every day of it.
B
It's, it's definitely. She has to be up there. I'm. There are very impulsive players. But, and I, to her credit, she has reigned it in this season slightly more than she did her previous season. But yes, I think she, she's definitely up there.
A
Yeah. Because again, like, I thought the start of this conversation was interesting and we'll talk about it later. Like, for what it's worth, you know, Angela advises Kamu, hey, just so you know, Drew's pushing to keep Mallory, which again, as we talked about before, would be an affront to commute considering that he wants to take out Mallory. She's strategizing against, against his alliance.
B
So, like, just stop there.
A
Exactly. Had it in the first half, not gonna lie. But she decides to not stop herself from stopping him and say, okay, by the way. And this again goes back to that conversation with Mallory where I think she feels like she has the need to like, end every sentence on an exclamation point to leave them with one lingering thought as they, as they make their way downstairs. You know, it was enough. Again, Kamu is a very evidence based man to say, like, hey, check this out for yourself. I think that was a very good. As sketchy as it was to have Kamu take off and Angela immediately follow behind, it makes sense to be like, hey, we're going to lay out a bit of a trap for him. Just watch what happens. But then she proceeds to do this. And what makes it even more delightfully painful, Taryn, is the fact that she has been told multiple times by her two closest allies, like, listen, I get where you're coming from with Drew, but like, just slow your roll a little bit. Don't bring up that the red corner stuff. You know, it's already a little bit of a hot fun issue. Kamal didn't like that, you know, about the red corner. So, like, just don't necessarily give them the rationale to go after him right here, right now. We'll find that time to get to it. And I'm just like, yep, sure thing. Will absolutely do. So it's a bit like Talking to my 7 year old of like, hey, whatever you do, don't do this thing. And he's like, yep, read it loud and clear. And then again that though that impulsivity takes over and she decides that she has that sense of gamesmanship of like, I need to strike while the iron is hot here inadvertently burning herself with said iron. I do have a theory here, Taryn, and I really wonder if we talk about Angela living PTSD through a lot of these moments in Big Brother 26. She even talks about it to a certain extent, about how, like, the anxiety and hurt she feels by the end of the night is very reminiscent of what she felt for the majority of that season. Much like the psyches of the contestants in that moment. Could Janky World have broken Angela's BB radar? And by that I mean we were talking about it at the time, and I think maybe she realizes in retrospect Leah's decision to go after the core Rubina Chemo trio rather than Chelsea Mackenzie Cam, it wasn't a game losing mistake because you could argue was more so Mackenzie getting convinced to put up Leah. I think a lot of people felt like that put things in a very different direction and that in retrospective, Angela looked at this opportunity of I had my shots take out someone who was incredibly well connected and I missed. I'm wondering if she's just reliving that moment over and over again and wants to say, timing be damned, if I see an inkling of a fire, I need to stamp it out.
B
I mean, I'd. I'd argue pretty heavily that, like, the Kamu Haley Chuck trio is a lot closer to Chelsea and the Drew Melody thing is a lot closer to Tkor Chemo, but. But also, like, I think in general, Angela's radar is just kind of pings. You know what I mean? It sometimes pings, right? But it just kind of pings a lot. So I'm not sure. But basically, yes. This conversation ends with Common saying, I'll go down and see what Drew is saying. So he goes back down to talk to Drew with D and Angela there, and. And Drew does end up repeating some of these arguments. Haley's arguments for why Lala should go, and then kind of making the case for why maybe Mallory should stay. I'm just. I'm just playing devil's advocate. I'm just trying to throw out some ideas here and just fully falls into this trap after he leaves. D is just like, oh, Kamu, that was amazing. Ah, the way you articulate your words are a master class. We were trying to convince Drew that whole time, and then you came out here and you just shut it down beautifully. And. And Angela's like, yeah, so D, as I was explaining to Kamu, I was telling him not to trust Drew. And Kamu's like, yeah, sorry, just Drew does not know about the red corner. Right. He's like, no. Oh, okay, good. And so he said he's coming after the three, then. Is that what he said? Yes. Which three? Both. I mean. I mean, like, obviously he wouldn't say he's coming after us to us. And Dee's like, wait, he said he's coming after us? And he's like, yes. No.
A
Well, no.
B
But in this conversation before D that I was making up, where he said he was kind of going. Going after them, and he's like, hold on. Did Drew say he's coming after us? Comma's like, no, not that I know of. And. And Angela's like, d, I'm trying to pretend like he said something to us about them in this conversation. You're acting like you don't know. And he's like, okay, okay. And comma's like, well, let me just maybe try to pick Drew's brain tomorrow and figure all of this out. And. And he leaves, and Angela is just like, I might have fucked up my
A
game, D.
B
I told him Drew was coming after him.
A
It's. It's so incredibly good because, again, she is the person who has far and away the most Big Brother experience in this entire house amongst these 17 players. And she makes one of the biggest step in it mistakes we've seen in this season, which. Listen, I've heard the comments that, like, this feels like a steamroll that people with reality TV experience have fostered an inherently unfair environment within the house. But, like, then it helps when you have Angela deciding to, like, make this big blurt to Camu and try to moonwalk her way out of it by being like, ah. Oh, you know what? Actually, I'm just so sleepy that I guess I said red corner when D was here. And then I think, doesn't she talk with D later about, like, okay, we'll say that if Drew heard Red Corner, it's because that little sneaky rat boy was. Was listening to us whisper about it. And so he must have picked up on the name and decided to float it out. But it's just, first off, just to do briefly tangential here, like, Kamu's, like, full Krispy Kreme. With the amount of glazing that's been done to him throughout the entire day, he's gonna be like, that was a great, great tea party, right? Fantastic. Nobody had a problem with it.
B
Everyone loved it, right? Because I was a little worried because it was. The vibe was a little weird. But everyone said, everyone come after me. Everyone afterward is saying, it's so, so great. So it's like, it was good.
A
Yes, of course. Man who we are financially incentivized to not call out for completely, you know, making a mockery of himself. Sure, it was great. But also, I. To your point, I think that was a very, very, like, giving tone of him. It's a type of thing where you're like, okay, I did this thing, but, like, it was good, right? Like, people enjoyed it. I couldn't read at the time because you all were just sitting there in awkward silence. But I think it went over well, didn't it? But to go back to this entire snafu, it's just, oh, man, it is so much fun that it was done. I wouldn't say inadvertently, because it's not like Angela completely did this accidentally. Again, in that moment, it was entirely purposeful that she decided to, like, paint another little stroke on the. The portrait of Drew as this shifty man and say, oh, by the way, he's going after the red corner. And what I will say as well, I've indicated it many times, is that Drew did not do himself any favors here, because when Kamu comes back out, the trap was set of like, okay, the talk comes back to, what do you want the vote to be? And as you mentioned, Drew plays devil's advocate and says, okay, maybe we should keep Mallory. And Khan was like, well, I heard that Mallory said that she was going to go after Chuck and Haley. And then Drew responds by being like, well, actually, it's not that she actually said she was going to come after Chuck and Haley and you. And so just imagine the argument of, hey, hey, my man, don't you worry. We should keep Mallory around because she's not going after your allies, she's going after you and your allies. That's a much better situation by comparison. And so as much as we're talking about and have been talking about the hole that Drew has kind of been thrown into, he was shoveling himself quite a handful of dirt over the course of this conversation, even if he didn't realize it.
B
Yeah. In his mind, it's the vets that need to be convinced, because that's true. And so it's better for him to say to Kamu's face that Mallory's coming after Kamu than to admit that Mallory might be going after the vets because he needs the vets to be on board. Otherwise this isn't happening. And if the vets get on board, then Kamu can't even say anything. He doesn't know that this is being used against him because he doesn't know a lot about what's happening with the vets. But Angela, after this conversation with. With. With Kamu, does not tell d the extent to which she screwed up, just that she messed up by saying Drew was coming after him. And so this I. And then Dee's like, did you catch that? He asked if Drew knew about Red Corner. And Andrew's like, yeah, that was weird, huh? She says, listen, if. Because if this comes out, if Drew starts spilling, it's deny, deny, deny. And they're like, yes, okay, we'll just deny it. We'll just deny it. And this is this strategy. And they talked to. Briefly talked to Devins about it later. They just deny, deny, deny is the strategy. And I have to say, I don't love that strategy because it's. It should be very obvious when Drew. If Drew ever says what the story is, that what they're trying to come up with is false, and Barrett will be able to back Drew up if he decides to do so. And, like, a lot of things are going to click into place. There's a lot of information that they can dump that will reveal that obviously this is the truth. So the idea that they would just sit there and be like, nope, nope, nope.
A
Absolutely.
B
What. What is Drew talking about? What is. What is this Work crossroads?
A
What is it?
B
I don't even. What is that?
A
That's the thing is that I think for the past couple weeks, they've been able to benefit from this idea of, like, okay, we'll call out one particular person, in this case, Jason, and everyone will have notes to corroborate each other's information. But even if Drew doesn't have the Red Corner, he's got at least one person in his corner to help, you know, match this information up. And I think, unlike what we were talking about with Devin's strategy to deny the power. This isn't a thing where people automatically assume that they were working with Drew and Barry. Right. It's not like a. Like, well, they're not giving anything away, so it's totally fine because it's not moving the needle one way or the other. If anything, this is the Lady Dolph protest. Too much of, like, wow, if you are so flagrantly denying this, what does that say? And how. What does that say about how close you were in the beginning as well? And so, yes, I very much understand, especially in the hairy, frenetic state that Angela was in, how this would be the strategy to pursue it. And we Cannot talk enough about this scene where Rick Devins just gets up to take a leak and finds out that he walked into another big leak. When Angela is like, all right, I've got to debrief you on something. Pulls him into this like airplane bathroom sized commode. It's like whatever you do, if you're asked about the crossroads, you say nothing. You don't even know what a crossover is at this point. Deny, deny, deny. And now Devin gets to have a little bit of a shoe on the different foot of what happened with Barrett last week. He's like, he literally says at one point, is this a dream? Like, what did I just walk into? Hmm. Yes.
B
And it's just, it just strikes. I've obviously I've been talking about it for weeks now. Like, this is all so unnecessary. It should not have reached this point. We should not be here. This should not be any kind of problem for these vets. They should be cruising along. But as Angela tells D after Kamu leaves, I'm the real messy bitch.
A
They say when you point at someone and call them a messy bitch, four fingers are pointing right back at you. Maybe not if you're in that egg costume. And maybe it's a little bit of takes one to no one, but I love D here. Again, people talk a little bit about, you know, if they feel like these game is being dragged down, perhaps maybe Dee needs to go to the time capsule and get the Adam and Eve punishment just so she could be tethered to Angela for the week so Angela doesn't go off leash and sink anything else. But like, you could tell that Dee has a lot of fun with Angela. And I think that's, that's something that again, she really takes a lot of pride in, in terms of her allies, is she wants someone that she can have a lot of fun with. And it's clear the two of them maybe feed into each other's worst habits, but they have such a good time together. And so Dee is now sort of like on Angela duty for the rest of the night, assuaging her like, listen, you don't think we all make mistakes? Possibly game ending mistakes. It's okay. It's totally fine. And what's interesting, Terry, I don't know if you caught this is as they're walking out of the backyard, Dee's like, thank you America for giving Angela the power. Thank you, Devins. And if as a quick reminder, Angela does not know that Devins has the power, in fact is happy that she does not know it's Very possible Angela was caught up in the moment and didn't necessarily hear it, but a little bit of a slip up from D as well.
B
Yeah, they're, they're like walking back these. I love playing this game with you, Angela. Oh, man, this is so. Yeah. And thank, thank you, America for giving Devin's. Given the power to Devin's. And then you see, you could see Dee's face and Angela's not registering at all what's happening because she's still busy. Like, man, I just screwed up so bad. And right after D says that, she's like, yeah, we all screw up sometimes, Angela.
A
I have first hand evidence, actually very recent firsthand evidence.
B
So that's, that's pretty much the night it is going to. There's more late night conversations, Mallory, Drew, Melody talking about the Jason plan, so on and so forth. But, but the main story, of course is, you know, not only what will happen here. Will Drew and Barrett flip with them? Will they make the Mallory vote happen? Will they make the Jason vote happen? But also what will come of this big push that Angela just made. The chat is telling me that, that Kamu's already now trying to talk to Drew and so I don't know if that's happening quite yet and what that conversation will look like, but this is genuinely like the best thing that could have happened for Drew considering his position is terrible anyway, that if he gets any amount of heads up and actually takes it in and uses this opportunity to flip this vote or whatever, then this is genuinely the, the best shot that, that, that he has that both him and Barrett have so a lot to play for here in Survivor terms. And we have two full days before Thursday, today and tomorrow, so see what happens.
A
Yeah, that's the thing is if Drew is not able to see this and turn this into an actionable item, it's a little hopeless for the boy. You know, he's wearing rose colored glasses and if he sees a red flag, it just looks like a flag. And so if this is not the thing that jostles those glasses off, it's gonna take something tough to do. So if he still, you know, feels that the, the crossovers is where he's supposed to stay, hopefully this evidence should be enough if not to make the move against Jason, because again, I think he and Barrett have reasons not to necessarily stick their necks out to do so, to at least do what people are accusing him of doing and so his wild oats elsewhere and start planting seeds within other groups and really start thinking about the Fact that like they're just not that into you. I'm also really intrigued to see from the Angela side of things because now she is going to probably have to go to already went to Kamu. Is she going to go to the other members of Red Corner?
B
She's already talked to Haley.
A
Okay, well fantastic. We all. We know how the day is going to be going for her as well. So it feels like this information is going to get out in more ways than one. So thank you Angela Murray because you turn in look the. The melody trying to make the boat flip stuff was. Was incredibly fun television especially in the second part of the day where they were chilling and nothing was really going on. But much like you tried to do with Kamu at the very end of the day sentiments you decide to stir some chaos in and for the sake of what we do here I am all the happier for it.
B
All right, well that is about what we've got for you then today. Anything else to bring up, Mike?
A
Just I guess one or two more things. These are just spare thoughts if you. If you humor me. Taryn. A thog thought I had a thought on Haley for a second because I you were mentioning that she was talking with Angela and the more I sort of observe Haley in the wild here, you know, I think like incredibly blunt, maybe not the most socially adept, very steadfast in her opinions. You know still is being the drum of we need to get Lala out and has been having so many conversations and gets on so well with Angela. I'm thinking a little bit here. Obviously we encountered quite literally from a canonical perspective the younger version of Angela in the very first competition of the season. But I'm kind of thinking that the real young Angela has been in front of our eyes the whole time and she's rocking a red bob.
B
I don't. I just. I don't see the level of. Unless you think that. That maybe she'll grow into the paranoia.
A
That's what I think. I think it's that initial. The initial seeds. Right. Like I think she has some of those. Those rudimentary behaviors of Angela. But I think as well like I mean Angela and Do you talk all the time about how Haley is too paranoid and how she. They're completely on and off about her. So I feel like give her some time to marinate. Just give it time. And I. I think maybe that's another reason why the two of them get on so well as I feel like maybe Angela understands her on a certain level that maybe no one else does because she was her at 29 years old.
B
Perhaps. Perhaps. I, I guess we'll have to. We'll see if, if Haley is able to. To match any level of the Angela paranoia as I mean continue.
A
To be fair, Haley did have that moment where she was listening to Yash outside the bathroom and came in and broke everything. A little Angela light. Even though nothing.
B
That is pretty Angela esque. Yes, I will agree.
A
Yeah, so we'll keep an eye on. I guess the other thing I was, I was looking at as well is that if we go back to the Chuck GPT when I think Chuck at a certain point was, you know, talking about Lala, saying that he doesn't understand why she got cast, that she doesn't know the game and I don't know to a certain extent with him and Yash before he turned 25 and woke up, I'm sort of like we're living in Beauty and the Beast for a second because the furniture's talking. I was really surprised at like the perception that people were having of Chuck because I think obviously us fans are not necessarily getting on with him. So it's always intriguing to hear the house guests not say their opinions line up with ours, but that like they too are like kind of like nothing. When I talk to this man, he's like the celery of conversationalists
B
without even any peanut butter.
A
Yeah, exactly. No ants on a log, baby. Just negative calories.
B
Yeah, it's rough. It's rough stuff for Chuck. He is really struggling out there. All right, well with that, I think we have, we have fully updated you on the situation here today. Of course. Genuinely, we've got plenty to be on the lookout for between this Drew situation, the vote situation, the Angela situation. Again, two full days for all this campaigning to happen. Very interested in where Yash is going. So stay tuned for all of it. I will of course be back tomorrow morning, 11am Eastern to update you and everything that happens today on The Big Brother 28 live feeds. I'll also be recording the BB mailbag with Rob, so stay tuned for that. Always a good time there. Find me over on Patreon if you want to check out my live streams. And that's about it. Mike, what do you got going on?
A
So the usual stuff that I get to do on the Big Brother circuit, of course, doing weekly exit press over on Parade. So we'll see between Jason Mali, maybe even Lala at this point, depending on how the next couple days go. We'll be talking to them on Friday. I will plug on the Survivor side of things. So I haven't referenced Survivor enough in this podcast. If you missed it, Rob and I kicked off a new off season podcast called the Survivor Time Trip. Yeah. BB we're co opting your term because you co opt our players where we go back to a famous episode in Survivor history and talk about it with someone who was actually there at the time. And so we had a really fun kickoff episode with mention alongside you on Big Brother Unlocked. Taryn Kelly Wentworth was on talking about her iconic idol play in Survivor Cambodia. Got a lot of other great stuff down the line. Thank you so much, Karen. Listen, I know that I am just a bloviating meatbag here for people to just listen to waiting for you to speak, but I'm grateful that, you know, I got the time to chat with you about what truly wound up being a very up and down day for a day where the outcome was spelled out quite literally from the very beginning of the week.
B
It's very true. Very true. Well, thank you for joining me, Mike. Thank you all for being here today. I will see all of you next time.
RHAP: We Know Big Brother
BB28 Tuesday Live Feed Update – July 28, 2026
Hosted by Taran Armstrong with guest Mike Bloom
This episode covers Day 21 of the Big Brother 28 live feeds—a day that brought both silliness and seismic strategic shifts. Host Taran Armstrong, joined by Mike Bloom, breaks down the fallout from Kamu's HOH reign, the chaos of Jason's teapot antics, game structure discussions, a possible vote flip in the works, and the night’s dramatic (and self-sabotaging) moves from Angela. The episode dives into alliances, blindsides, vote math, and the delicate balance between evidence, paranoia, and impulsive gameplay that defines this wild week in the Big Brother house.
This high-wire Big Brother episode exemplified the intersection of drama, strategic missteps, and social chaos. From Jason’s showy resistance on his way out, to late-night alliance flipping, to a veteran self-sabotaging her standing out of paranoia, it’s a case study in how structure, perception, timing, and personality dictate the Big Brother house’s ever-chaotic rhythms. With two days yet before eviction, the house remains poised for further flips and fallout—especially from Angela’s late-game “spilled tea.” The hosts agree: tune in and “deny, deny, deny” that you’re not loving this mess.
