Looking at the stuff from yesterday,
Corey Brooks
all the drama, all the strategy and silliness from veto to hoh, every single season, you know he is the reason, you know what's happening, happening. Rob said that he could do it tomorrow. He will do it again. Hello, everyone and good morning. Welcome to our live feed update for August 12th. I'm your host D. Armstrong and I'm here today to update you on everything that happened yesterday. The big brother 28 live feeds. It was day 33, six in the house and it was an interesting day. I think the primarily we saw some primary alliances, we saw some people thrown under a New York City tour bus and we have some interesting things shaping up for Thursday and next week. And with me to talk through it all is Corey. How you doing, Corey?
Taran Armstrong
I'm doing amazing. I feel like in the past couple of days there's been a lot of progress in one direction and then yesterday was a lot of progress to undo that progress, but it's always progress one way or another. We're moving forward through the season and I'm excited to talk about it.
Corey Brooks
Yes, of course, as everyone knows, Lala is the hoh. Barrett, Chuck and Haley are on the block. They stayed on the block after Kaomu won the veto and chose not to use it. Haley remains the target. But there has been a lot of talk about Potentially keeping her over Chuck, especially from basically every corner of the house, but especially from the vet who will ultimately decide who stays and who goes. We talked yesterday about how really another thing that could really solidify this is if Angela and Haley have a conversation and kind of mend things. And we started the day with what appeared to be that conversation, or at least the beginnings, the seeds of that conversation, as Angela apologized to Haley and. And they said that they would talk later today. So if that talk happens, then there's maybe a shot this vote might start to flip around.
Taran Armstrong
Yeah, for sure. I think it's a real possibility, and it's very funny. We're like, Angela, throughout the day, is so happy that she was able to have this conversation with Haley and start rebuilding that bridge. And it's like Haley's like, we didn't have to rebuild the bridge until you destroyed the bridge with a wrecking ball and a sledgehammer. But the bridge is broken regardless. Angela's trying to rebuild it. And, like, at the end of the day, if Barret wins the blockbuster, really, in any case, like, they're gonna have to keep one of Haley or Chuck. So, like, you can't just sit there and not work on them. So good for Angela for trying. We'll see later if it worked.
Corey Brooks
Yes. The other thing that's happening this week, of course, is the. The Taylor sort of revolution of her trying to spearhead a movement with Yash and Lala to take a shot at the icons next week. She wants to keep Chuck in the game and not even, like, go for the remainder of Chuck or Haley, even though that was sort of what was being said in an ideal world for them, it's. It's icons next. We need to get some of these icons out before the jury, primarily Devins, who is the biggest target here. And so they organized her, and Yash had been talking to Melody and Mallory, and then they kind of got together a big group of people up in the hoh room, starting with just Melody and Mallory. And then Drew and Barrett joined, and they. And as well as Yash. And they all talked about how it's their season and these icons have had their chance and that they should be looking at the icons. And I mentioned this yesterday, that this is. This is pretty big because while D and Angela had been looking a lot at Taylor and Yash as influences over Kamu and their frustration with that, and having already heard from Drew that Taylor was saying that the only four people that hadn't been nominated were the icons in Camus they had been sort of diverted the day before when. When Drew and Barrett kind of tripped over their own feet and said, oh, yeah, Mallory might put you on the block as a renom. We have an alliance called fap and so this is an event that could change things moving forward. And Drew and Barrett are going to talk about how they feel about what to do about it here in the morning.
Taran Armstrong
You know, Taryn, it would be crazy for me to come on the podcast and kill Druin Barrett for ratting out the newbies to survive. Like, I acknowledge that. However, what's really frustrating with Drew and Barrett specifically in this situation is like, Barrett kind of does cam talks, but they're not super substantive. Drew really doesn't. The most genuine interactions I see, at least from Dru's end, is probably talking to Barret, and I think Barret's kind of open with Dru sometimes, and it feels like there is no plan to get out the icons. It's. If we go far enough with the icons, other people will have to take them out. And now we're, like, stacking up Melody and Mallory to beat Dee and Devins, and they can just sit pretty in the mid. That's not how it's going to happen. So, like, I think it's fine sometimes to rat out stuff to the power if you're trying to build some sort of coalition or set up the circumstances to, you know, overcome that. It just feels like they are trying to set up this, like, final 10 where they can just rest on their laurels and then, like, enjoy the fruits of their success. And that's delusion.
Corey Brooks
Yeah, a little bit. Little bit. So they talk. They talk about this in the storage room, and they are like, what do we do? What do we do about what happened last night? Because they were explicitly told by lala, if this gets out, I will. I will murder you. And. And Barrett is on the block. Obviously, it would be pretty risky, especially if they tell the vets. Especially somebody like Angela finds out, and then it becomes a big thing, and then, oh, did Barrett and Drew rat them out? Barrett and Drew are in a big bunch of trouble, but if the vets hear about it before they have a chance to tell them about it, they might get in trouble. They might get in timeout. So. So that wouldn't be good either. And. And so they're like, should we wait until Thursday? Should we tell them now? Drew is kind of like, listen, you're the one on the block. I'll follow your lead on this. And Barrett is like, this Is kind of a good conversation to share, but malady, he says, not me. He says, malady. We're agreeing to it. The Melody and Mali, that's. It's like, that's not good for us. If we tell them about the conversation and we talk about how Melody and Mallory were in on it. And I was like, yes, yes, I agree, I agree. Maybe. Maybe leave that part out. And then they're like, maybe we leave that part out. And I was like, oh, yes, hold on. And Drew says, I talked to them after, and I was talking to them about how we should still be going after Camus and not the icons. And they were agreeing. So we actually have. They actually do want to work with the icons. And they were. And there was like, okay, yes, this is good information. Then that. And then what we will do is we will make sure that we say that, like, Lala and Yash were leading the conversation and we really emphasize that how much they seemed to want to protect Camus in the conversation. It's like, yes, this is what happens if you. If you talk and you coordinate and you prepare to answer questions instead of. Instead of being like, wait, what's our alliance name? It's fat.
Taran Armstrong
You know, this is like ethical ratting. Maybe. Maybe it's like mousing because they're actually, like, considering what they're going to rat out. It's a beautiful thing. And I think there's. There's two pieces of it. The first piece is like, should they rat it out at all? I'm sorry. Like doing the revolution in a nine person open forum. It's like, that's sketchy. I don't blame them for doing it. I think later in the day they're gonna, in some ways be vindicated by ratting it out. And then there's the. What do you actually rat out? And it's like, this is beautiful. There's obviously the downside of. That's awfully convenient that all of their allies were saying the right things and the people they want out are saying the bad things. But this is like the definition of a rock in a hard place. Like, it is better to be on this side where you're protecting your allies and they're suspicious. Then you're tossing your allies under the bus and their suspicions are confirmed.
Corey Brooks
Exactly, exactly. This is the kind of gameplay that I've been wanting to see from Drew and Barrett this whole time, which is this more considered form of, like, pointed information spilling. Which is, yeah, the nice way of saying ethical ratting out, I guess. But. But The, I guess, more disappointing side of this conversation comes toward the end when they both agree that while they are doing this good form of ratting out right now, that they are still both more loyal to the crossovers than to FAP because, hey, it would be a good idea, says Drew, to. To sit. Hey, if one of us gets evicted, I'd be happy to sit next to a vet in the final two. With all this talk about how it's our season and they've had their chance, and I'm like, drew clearly did not watch The Big Brother 14 live feeds because it is not the same. It is not the same.
Taran Armstrong
Have you done the math on how old Drew was during the BB14 live feeds? That's.
Corey Brooks
You know what? Fair. He was probably, like, five years old.
Taran Armstrong
I'm kind of glad he wasn't watching it at that point. But, yeah, no, I. I totally agree. And, like, I think especially with Drew and Barrett and, like, handling these icons at points in the season, I thought they were BSing each other. They didn't trust each other enough to tell them their true intentions, because what if Barrett rats the D? Or what if Drew rats the Devins? I could only be shown this segment 15, like, so many times. Like, eventually, it is what it is, and I think this is their actual plan. I just thought Taran for, like, the entire season, and maybe this was just my own trauma of, like, oh, sure, they're loyal to the power, but eventually Drew's gonna pick Melody. Like, that's just how this works out. They. They hang out. They have so much fun together. They're clearly closer personally than Drew is to any of the icons. And then as time goes on, I just have a lot more doubt. Right. And, like, the interaction between Drew and Melody hasn't really escalated, which makes it less likely he's gonna swing over. And now it's like, oh, they're just trying to play the middle, and if they get that, like, here's what I'll say. Taren, I do think it's more likely that Drew nominates two icons than Melody and Mallory. I just don't think it's at all likely that he ever takes a risk to go after the icons for Melody and Mallory.
Corey Brooks
Yeah, I think I agree with that, and I think that this has been in Drew's head for a while. There was a conversation he had a few weeks ago that we talked about. He had it with Mallory, I think, and Melody about vets and whether they would vote for a vet to win. And Mallory specifically said, I would prefer to vote for a new player over a vet if I felt like they played similar games. And I think Drew feels like he's played a similar game to the vets. And I feel like. And I think at the time I even commented that this was Drew intentionally dropping seeds for when he inevitably goes to the end with a vet. And I think this has been on his mind. Now, I say that about Drew, I'll give maybe Barrett a little bit of benefit of the doubt. Drew initiated, like, hey, and I'm more loyal to crossovers than fap. You too, right? And Barrett was like, yes. And Barrett did not talk about going to the end with the vet himself, but he also didn't argue against that point, which I think you should, even if you believed it was true, because you don't want Drew thinking he should be in the end with the vet when he should want to be in the end with you, which he should, by the way. Drew, I think beats. Maybe beats Barrett right now, but. But Barrett, I don't know what his long term plan is if it's not to go to do this, because, like, who. Who is Barrett taking? It's not like Barrett can bring Mallory, like, in the same way Drew can bring Melody, because I think Mallory beats Barrett, at least right now. So, you know, and I think. I think, too, I think that Barrett realizes all of this. He. He does have a cam talk later where he's just kind of like, I know I'm making a million mistakes. I'm just kind of like the sweet, cuddly guy right now. And, you know, I'm content with that for now. Like, I'm doing the best I can here.
Taran Armstrong
Yeah, well, there's, I guess, two pieces to talk about here. Like, first of all, this conversation had potentially one of the worst moves in Big Brother history, and it. Not because it actually mattered. It's not to that scale, but it's more like, why would you say this? They're, like, competing against each other about how good of jury advocates they can be for each other. Drew's like, if I'm in the jury, man, I'm championing you, Barrett, like, you're my guy. I'm going to be working 24 7. Barrett's like, are you kidding me? Like, I'm such a fan of your game. And I'm like, there's no way you could even rationalize this being a good idea to tell anyone else in the house, but they're going for it. And then the other thing is, like, a question about Barrett because you know he did a ton of shout outs and like you could tell. Like the one thing that's undeniable is he's a massive, massive, massive Big Brother fan. I've heard him talk about my season. Like he's, he's really locked in, which gives me a lot of hope that like maybe there's more to Barrett the player than what we've seen. Have you ever seen a player play a certain way for this amount of time and then like activate?
Corey Brooks
Doesn't usually happen unless they suddenly become like a comp beast. Know what I mean? Like, once you experience power for a little while, it can change how you play the game, but it does require often winning that power. And, and Corey, obviously you are an example of somebody who appeared, at least to some people, that you were playing one way until you really did make a huge move. But I think for people paying attention, we kind of saw that this was, that that was an inevitability, that that was something that you had been talking about for a while and you had been planting seeds for a while. And obviously we're not seeing that from Barrett or Drew at this point. But, but you never know, you know, especially with the wildness of, of how the game has been swinging in the blockbuster era, it's still a chance. And I do think that like Barrett with power because he's such a fan could really feel different. But I don't know.
Taran Armstrong
Yeah, I just tend to find out like players change less than circumstances do and if the circumstances change where like FAP is on top and now Barrett is like a lead decision maker and where the house goes, he'll be perceived very differently. He may like even act and talk differently. It's just like if he's not the one forcing that change of the status quo, it's probably not going to happen because he's weirdly one of the only people capable of doing that right now.
Corey Brooks
Yeah. So while they're downstairs talking about that or not while, but later, toward slightly later in the day, Devin's is going to be talking with Taylor up in the gym and. And this is basically the opposite side of what Drew and Barrett were just talking about, but done a little more clumsily. She's first of all talking about the primaries alliance, which is better known as the tethers. Allian, if hopefully this is short lived because I think everyone really knows that it's the tethers and I'm gonna have to keep telling you that it's now it's the primaries because it's the colors. But. But she's like, yeah, you feel good about adding Yash because the last time they talked, it was in front of Kamu, too. And he's like, yes, I do feel good about adding Yash to the. To the primaries alliance. And she then starts pressing him again about who his tether is, which was always, like, from the very beginning of the pitch to. Of this alliance. I think in some ways, you know, it feels like. Like such a specific. She's got a binder. She's got three laws to follow. She came into the house with a very specific alliance structure in mind. And so it feels a lot like that. But in many ways can also be interpreted as kind of a test to, like, how real is this alliance? How committed are you to the idea of this alliance? If you're not willing to tell me who your quote unquote tether is, like, are you really in on it? And so she's like, would, like, do you trust Drew? Devin's like, I love Drew, but he spends all his time with other people. He's like, well, you're close to Drew and Barrett, right? Like, which one would you choose as a tether? And he's like, oh, I really don't know. Really. I really don't know. It could be either one. Maybe it just. I, like, just very clearly refusing to name a specific person. He does not want to be tethered to anyone in. In particular, which I think is. Is smart for Devens. He should not name one of them. In the same way that I don't think Drew should have named Fap. I think that, like, even just saying it out loud, giving Taylor that information could come back to bite him in one way or another. But. But Taylor moves on and she tries to throw Devin's a little bone. She says, well, I am hearing that people are coming after the icons after Chuck and Haley are gone, and he has people who are people. Or is it like a general feeling kind of thing? She's a general feeling kind of thing. It's been going around that you guys are the only ones that haven't been on the block. And this is, I think, where, like, this is a mistake from Taylor. And it's funny in Big Brother Canada 12. Sorry for the niche reference, but, like, this is exactly the same thing that happened with Anthony Douglas where a player came up to Anthony saying, hey, people are talking about taking shots at the vets. And Anthony was like, who are people? And the guy was like, just generally. And then Anthony took the guy out because he was Like, I can't trust this guy. He's not naming names. Vets are aware of this strategy. They're not going to fall for it. That you just say, oh, it's a general feeling. If you're, if you're going to tell them really incriminating information, you need to be specific.
Taran Armstrong
Yeah. Unless you're Surrey and you could say, a little birdie told me through the grapevine, well, she's the vet. She's, she is the vet. That's a great distinction. I think in general it's like if you're going to tell someone like revealing information, the half measure usually doesn't work because now Devin's going to be thinking the rest of the day, who is Taylor talking about? Who is Taylor talking about? And a lot of other people are very happy to throw out names and those names might not be people Taylor's happy about. So like commit to the bit or don't do it at all. And then for the Devin's piece it's like, I think he could have said a name like he shouldn't have said D. But you don't think it makes some sense to throw out a Barrett or Drew as being like, okay, that's my tether who's kind of expendable. Obviously I'm not as close to D as our icon status might suggest.
Corey Brooks
I, I, I can see it. I just, you know, like, I hate the idea if I'm Devin's personally of like attaching myself to either one of them with Taylor there. Like I'm happier because Devin's is kind of doing a thing where he's not tethered to anybody. Like he's lumped in with the icons. But he always says it's mostly just a thing with that. Like we recognize that if one goes, others probably go. But I'm not that close to them. Am I close to, to and Barrett? Sure. But like they've got their own thing. Like, you know, like I'm just the dad. Like they're, they've got their own friends. And so I, I think he wants to try to avoid like actively allowing himself to. And tether's such a funny word because like literally be tethered to any other one person, especially to, you know, somebody like Taylor who is actively targeting Devins in many ways. He doesn't quite know it as much as he should yet, but, but I do, I do think that like refraining from naming someone is probably the call here.
Taran Armstrong
Yeah, I see that. I'm also just curious what is Taylor doing Just in the context of like every time we hear Taylor and Lala talk it's like the icons have to go but really it means Devin's and then her tethers alliance, the BB blowout. Right. She talked about preseason is kind of centered around Devins and it's like I think she really wants her idea of the alliance to happen. She also wants her target to leave at some point. Like it just feels like these things don't align.
Corey Brooks
Yes. And, and I like, I like what Taylor is doing and because frankly I think that the Taylor making these alliances is really smart. I think I said that from the beginning and I think the fact that she made the primaries alliance, it came in, it has come in clutch a couple of times. Then her ally wins power and she's able to solidify it. She's able to pull in Yash. It's starting to look like it can really become a thing. It's just that at the same time as you're saying she's also trying to plant like a target on Devin. She kind of like allowed Lala to. I don't know if she allowed Lala to influence her toward Devin's or as much as like away from Dee and Angela or whatever the case is. But I've, I've been saying all week I really feel like if, if you're going to have this stance of, of anti vet and you want to introduce it to the house, which you should because they are really dangerous. Like you are in power right now. Like you have the, you have a shot available to you. She didn't have to talk Lala out of targeting Devin's. She could have allowed Lala to put Devins on the block and she even could have said Evans, I really tried. I really tried. But she hates what you did to Rome. And yes, Devins has a power. Yes, he might have used it to put Taylor on the block. If that happened, there's a chance he wouldn't have. There's a chance that if she said, I really, really tried, I'm so sorry, I'm going to do my best to win the veto and take you off. Like, I'm so mad at Lala right now. There's a chance maybe that he would have put somebody else on the block because he would have felt like I still do have Taylor. She tried for me. So like I just feel like now was the time to flush the powers. Now is the time to take a shot. While the vets were, were down, while they weren't connected to the rest of Red corner while you had Kamu on your side before, depole them back in. If these on the block, she's not pulling him back in in the same way that she can when she's off the block. And so that's. I just feel like it's the right move to go after the vets, but not the right move to not go after the vets and then try to get other people to go after the feds while you're in power.
Taran Armstrong
Yeah. I think you're describing the optimal move. Just speaking from a player's perspective. It's like the, the element of fear exists a lot more when you're playing in the first person from the outside and you're like, my bestie just won HOH and I'm safe for the week. And now I'm just gonna like roll the dice to see like, maybe I'm not safe for the week. And obviously they don't know the details of the power, but Lala and Taylor have been talking about HOH takeovers and renoms and all these kinds of things. So like, I think you are right and I would do what Taylor is doing in terms of not targeting demons.
Corey Brooks
Yeah. And, and I, I do you. You're completely correct because I, I say all of this, but I completely understand the fear of both like making that move when there's an easier and also pretty good move right in front of you, which is Haley. And also the fear of the powers because it's not just Evans's power they have to worry about, it's also D's power that you have to worry about. And you have no idea what either one of them is. And, and you do feel like you have a decent enough relationship with them. It's so easy to like kind of go along with that. But then if you do go along with that line of thinking, you do have to be a lot more careful about who you're talking to when it comes to working against these people. You know, you can, like, planting seeds is fine. Holding summits in the HOH room a bit more dangerous. So Kamu joins the conversation with Devins and Taylor and she tells him the same thing she told Devin's. There's an anti icons vibe happening. Kamu also asks, well, who is saying that? And so my guess is that Taylor was not prepared to name names. She didn't know she wasn't going to name any names. She was just going to say, hey, the vibe is anti icon. And then she was surprised when Devin's asked who is, who is that and so said general feeling. But then the second time she was asked, she was like, well, now I've thought about it, and I've prepared to throw Melody and Mallory under the bus. The Littles are saying this. Oh, that's interesting. I think that's something that Devin's caught as well. When he retells this conversation later, he tells the part that she said it was a general feeling and then named them later. So I think he, again, I think he kind of caught on to the fact that she was either reluctant to name them at first when it was just him, or that she, like, wasn't even, like, didn't want to tell those names. But either way, the conversation continues. And then it's mostly just Camus just complaining about Chuck for like, an hour.
Taran Armstrong
Yeah, like, reenacting a conversation that he had with Chuck. And I was waiting for the punch. I'm still waiting for the punchline, Taren. Like, it was. He's acting like this ridiculous conversation with Chuck happened. And I was like, yeah, I probably turned away from this conversation on the feeds. Like, this is not what I wanted to watch.
Corey Brooks
It was. Well, I mean, not only was it, like a wildly long complaint session about Chuck, but while this is happening, something much more interesting started happening, which is that Barrett started talking to Dee, telling her about the summit the night before. And he gives a mostly full rundown here about how they were talking about how Camus. Good, we love Camus. We should not be touching Camus. He says, Lala led the conversation. She was the leader of this whole thing, and she led it against the icons, mostly Devin's. And she said, if anything gets out of this room, I will kill you. And she says, devin's is just there for fun, but he's the most dangerous. D is just there for the experience, and Angela is there for redemption. And. And he says, and this was the thing I talked about yesterday because I was loving what Yash was doing and he was so under the radar, but I was like, oh, the fact that he was in that room is so bad for him. Because Barrett is then able to say, Yash was there and he was fully in on that conversation. And D is like, oh, Yash, I feel like he's everywhere. And he agrees with everyone he talks to. And just like that, like, Yash has. Has been planted firmly on the radar, and it's only going to get worse as the conversation continues. So D says, well, hey, I just. I'm remembering now, too. I also have some information to bring to you, Taylor and Lala did talk about potentially voting you out over Kamu like early in the week. She doesn't know that they talked about it even later in the week as well. But just so you know, and, and then Devin's joins and Barrett relays the information to him and Devin says, oh, that's so interesting because Taylor was just upstairs telling me that Melody and Mallory were doing this and Barrett is like, no, they were like in the conversation, but they very much want to work with you guys. Like, like, that's, that's. And Dee's like, yeah, Taylor thinks she has Melody and Mallory wrapped around her finger. And. And so this is good stuff from Barrett here.
Taran Armstrong
Yeah, I mean, as you've indicated, like, Barrett is a seasoned rat. He understands. Got some information. I gotta go tell Dee. Taylor trying to maybe protect some of the people in the room initially because she actually wants this anti vet coalition trying to drop seeds to Devin's. All of a sudden we have one person saying they said this and they shouldn't have and the other person saying, someone vaguely said this. And yeah, I mean, I guess it was probably Melody and Mallory. When we have a. He said, she said, most important thing is your relationship with both parties. The second most important thing is how they say it. And I think Barrett was so much more convincing and he has a better relationship with the icons than Taylor does.
Corey Brooks
Yes, 100%. And, and this was, this was like crucial. I mean, given that Taylor had just done the op like she had just ratted out Melody and Mallory, which along with the conversations the night before with FAP being revealed and hey, Mallory might put you on the block as a renaming. Um, if, if Drew and Barrett had decided to wait until Thursday or to not say this at all, this just continues to avalanche down against them. And Melody and Mallory, Barrett getting on top of this almost simultaneously with Taylor, but doing it better and more with more detail was, was very, very good, especially because it was also angled specifically at the right people while still being very detailed. And so Drew ends up joining Devin's. Also explains that Kamu was ragging on Chuck for an hour, which was very funny. Drew corroborates the story. So, like, if I were sitting there and I were trying to figure out, like, are they lying in any way? The fact that Drew also came in, this happened just last night and Drew is telling the story, telling many of the same beats but slightly differently. I'm like, this does not feel rehearsed and it feels like this is a real event that happened that they're both remembering because it is. And so it feels very believable. He. Drew really emphasizes how much they're protecting Kamu, how much Yash was on board and. And all of this stuff. Angela joins the conversation now Angela's hearing about it. Barrett was a little worried about telling Angela, but D says it's fine. Angela can take it. They apologize for not saying anything the night before. Angela's like, there. There wasn't a chance to. It's fine. And. And they're like, well, obviously, like, we don't want any of this to get out because Barrett is on the block and they said they would kill him if something got out. And Drew also makes it a point to say, like, hey, I. I talked to Melody and Mallory afterward, and. And we were. They were not on board with this. They want to go after Camus. They want to work with you guys. Now. This is true. And if it weren't true, I worry what Drew would have. Would have said, but it is true. And he's making a point of saying that, saying this, which I. Which I do really like. And so they all kind of agree. Malady and Mallory, we should try to pull them in. That's like seven people we should be going after. Camu and Yash and Taylor and Lala. And the other piece of this is that through throughout the conversation, they've kind of talked about, like, so are we keeping Haley then? Like, are we keeping Haley? And the answer has mostly been like, yeah, I think we might be keeping Haley. However, when they bring it up in front of Drew, Drew's like, oh, well, thing about Haley is she's still really close to Kamu. You remember the night before, Drew also had a long conversation with Kamu before the night ended where Kamu talked about how he doesn't like Chuck and he actually does still like Haley and he'd have a hard time putting Haley on the block. He's like, there's still something there. Drew brings this up. He says, Kamu really still wants to work with Haley. Haley's still really attached to Kamu. Kamu doesn't like Chuck at all, as apparently exampled by the fact that he was just ranting about him for an hour. So. So if we are. If we are striking a Kamu, we probably want Haley gone. And that seems to be a decent consensus amongst. Amongst the group. We'll hear a little bit more from Devin's and D later on it as well. But this is potentially putting a pin in all of this talk about potentially keeping Haley is now that we are anti Chuck or anti Camu. We don't want Haley around.
Taran Armstrong
Yeah. And I think part of why Drew's argument lands is because why would Drew care who goes between Haley and Chuck? Like, it really feels like this information is for the team. He doesn't have a great relationship with either. I've seen him talk more with Haley than Chuck, if anything. So I think that landed. One thing I didn't like from Barrett and Drew, and it's kind of nitpicky, is like, Barrett at first is like, I don't want to have this conversation until Drew's here. I was supposed to wait till Drew's here, kind of indicating that they.
Corey Brooks
He's like, drew's going to kill me for telling you like this.
Taran Armstrong
Yeah. Like, clearly, they talked about, like, they planned this conversation, even if it seems like they didn't plan it. And then Drew comes in. Barrett's version of the story was like, yeah, they just said generally that, like, no one should say anything. And then Drew's like. They pointed to us two directly. They said Barrett and Drew. So there's, like, these little inaccuracies, which is fine. But the more frustrating part was, like, there was this weird dynamic in this whole conversation of Dee specifically, but most of the icons being like, oh, no, no, we're not even worried about you guys betraying us. Like, I know you guys are so obviously concerned that you think that we think we're like, we are not suspicious of you. I know you think we're suspicious of you. We're not. And it was just like, okay, the crossovers family reunion, maybe not the warmest family reunion, but they are still together functionally. And then the last thing in this conversation that cracked me up was they're retelling it to Angela. I think Angela loved this story. It was like, oh, yeah, they actually weren't targeting you, and you're here for redemption from Angela. I'm like, yeah.
Corey Brooks
And Angela also, like, has, like. Angela was less on board with the let's target FAP idea from the night before. She was still wanting to focus on Kamu and Taylor and Lala to some degree. And so I think this information, for the first time, Drew's bringing information that, like, helps what she wants, and so she's very happy about it, for sure. But yes, we. We get through the conversation. Angela and D talk afterward, and they say that they believe Drew and Barrett, and D says, this, at the very least, gives us the option to go with either side, sort of depending on what happens. And de briefly kind of pins Mallory down and says, hey, we were just talking and like, I think we can work on something to keep each other safe moving forward. Mallory's like, I would love that. I was actually just talking to Melody about that. Yeah, Drew told him about that.
Taran Armstrong
Yeah. You know, and that conversation was like, literally a drive by, like, got you in the bathroom, one sentence. I think the hijinks later in the night, that's not gonna have a huge part of this update where they're just hanging out and having a good time meant so much more because they had this tiny solidification than they were being friends and buddies for a couple hours. And I think, like, okay, this feels more legitimate than I would have thought if it was just this one convo for sure.
Corey Brooks
Drew briefly talks to Melody about a potential deal with the icons. The seeds are being planted here. The idea, of course, as I said, being crossovers plus fap. It's a seven person group, or you might say icons plus fabric. And they go against, you know, Taylor, Lala, Kamu, Yash, and then theoretically, like the remainder of Chuck and Haley. But obviously the. The vets themselves still feel like they're in good. Like Devin still has his primaries alliance. They still feel like they have Kamu to some degree. And. And so, you know, they're not like fully committing to that side more. So they're like, okay, let's just continue to ride the middle right now. So D talks to Devins about all of this. Devin's probably would be the person with the most amount of reservations about this whole idea because he's the most wanting to go after fap. He think. I think he feels really good with his primaries thing with the wolf pack thing. He's got Yash, Chuck, Yash, Kamu, Taylor all in alliances. And he's always just been. Or not always, but he's been very skeptical of Drew for a while now. And they talk about Haley. Devin's like, I still feel like we could keep Haley. And he's like, I don't know. I like, I kind of. She kind of has been clearly swayed by. By some of the information that was brought to them about Haley being a little too close to Kamu and that maybe getting rid of Haley might actually be better for them. So that kind of shuts that down a little bit. They talk about how the getting this information is very good for them, especially because with Drew and Barrett so anti Kamu and Yash, they can kind of just like just point them toward Yash as much as possible to keep Kama around.
Taran Armstrong
Yeah. And Their read is correct. Drew and Barrett are absolutely anti Kamu specifically. And Drew, who, like, I'm sorry, Drew's path to winning this game is reconnecting with Kamu. Kamu's path is reconnecting with Drew. Drew hates Kamu. He's been consistently anti Kamu for a while now, and it's. It's a waste. But the vets have the right read here.
Corey Brooks
Yeah. And so. Well, the. The main thing that. That I noticed, I think, was like, that they intend to drop Yash, but they do. They have not turned on Kamu. They. They were talking the night before about how they want to bring Kamu far and that if a shot is taken against Kamu, you know, like Dr. Will trying to secretly protect Janelle. Sorry, I guess Kamu is the Janelle Haley then. Then they will try to. To make sure this falls on Yash more than it does Kamu and Devin's. And here's. Here's. Here's the thing, right? Devin's points out. He says it was obvious that they were trying to protect Melody and Mallory in that conversation. They kept bringing it up like, oh, just so you know, our people happen to be the ones that are saying good things about you. It was obvious to Devins and he was. He was like, biased against them in the first place. He didn't want this information in the same way that maybe Angela did. So he was looking for. For little things like that. But this is the difference, right? He can point it out all he wants, but in this conversation, they go, well, what are we going to do? Like, that's something for later. Like, the fact is, we got information, we earn an act on that information. And so, like, this is the main thing that I think Drew and Barrett don't recognize as. As often as they should, because this was, I think, really good work from them in general, is that, like, even if it's obvious that they're protecting a person when they bring information like this, it's still better to have good information brought to those people. Then drop in those little bits of like, ah, yeah, she might nominate you as a Renam, thinking, oh, this makes it feel more believable. But all D hears is I'm going to be Renam. And so instead being like, they're not going to touch you. Hmm, Seems like they're protecting them, but they might not touch me.
Taran Armstrong
Yeah, look, when you, you know, talk poorly on your ally, then when you speak positively about them, you have a little bit more credibility. Perhaps that's at least the goal in Theory. One failing of Dee and Devin's this season, and there's not many. They've really been running this thing. They could go talk to Melody and Mallory too. Like, I really would like for them to get a read on Malady and them to get a read on Mallory instead of giving Drew and Barrett this power to just, you know, pardon my language, be the middleman, you know, like, you don't want them to have that position. So, like, just go talk to her. D. I know how you are in one on ones. You're going to kill it.
Corey Brooks
And I mean, and that's really what, like, siree would often do to you. I think it's like, she, she'd get a read on America and be like, she doesn't want me around.
Taran Armstrong
No, the vibes were not good. So, you know, hopefully it works out a little bit better for these house guests.
Corey Brooks
Yeah. So Haley talks to Drew and really just. Just digs a deeper grave in this conversation. I'm really just like, I'm listening to this conversation. Like, Drew can rat a rat about this. He can say this, oh, this will make him not want her to stay. She tells Drew she really doesn't want to talk to Angela. She's like, she's so annoyed with her. Like, okay, Drew can bring this back to Angela, and even if they have a conversation, it's like, that's not good for Haley now. She tells Drew she trusts him and Yash and Kamu. That's, that's not good for. That's not good for Haley. That's not going to work well. That's not going to land well for Drew, who can bring that to the vets also and use it. Another reason to take Haley out. She's close to Yash and Kamu. It's just like, everything in this conversation just went poorly for Drew or sorry for Haley. And it's also a long conversation that Angela notices, and Angela wants to know what they were talking about. So I, I, I think this just was, like, a very bad conversation for Haley to have if she was hoping
Taran Armstrong
to stay, you know, as, as Drew likes to do. Let me play devil's advocate. Is there no value in Haley to Drew
Corey Brooks
if, I mean, there could be, but, like, the world where Haley is, too, is connected to Kamu and Yash, who are the people he's trying to, like, compete against for the vet's favor? You know, she's a number for them, whereas Chuck and Kamu have no relationship. Where is Chuck gonna go now? Theoretically, Taylor and Lala think Chuck goes to them. So it's not that different. But Taylor and Lala are less dangerous as competitors overall than Kamu seems to be. Obviously, Taylor and Lala have are no slouches in competitions. Lala just won this HOH over Ka Mu. But Kaomu has performed consistently well throughout. And this is something Drew is talking about. He thinks Kaamu is somebody who could run the table if he gets too close to the end. And I might agree. So. So the idea of allowing Haley to get back in with Ka Mu and Yash, which then therefore is also theoretically connected to Taylor and Lala, that feels dangerous to me. Whereas Chuck is such a. Just, you know, it's Chuck time.
Taran Armstrong
Well, again, I'm gonna have to push back on Chuck time. But the Haley Janelle comp is funny because, you know, it's funny. The Chuck Howie comp is kind of funny too. That's what Haley's been talking. I'm like, you know what? Credit to Howie, I think Howie's a little bit of. But. But like that one, I could see a bit more. And just in general, it's like they're talking about, here's where Haley's gonna go after. There's never been a discussion of where Chuck goes. You know, where he's going. Terence going on the block is what everyone said, right? So it's like, okay, let's just keep him in the game. And I think that makes a lot of sense. The other thing is, like, Kamu comping out. A lot of players in this game have different goals. A player like me needs to surround themselves with a lot of allies and people protecting me. A player like Jag, Kamu, MJ Morgan, you just gotta get in striking distance. If you can get to the final nine, you can get to the final eight. And this is in the blockbuster era. Like, if you're in striking distance as Kommus, you might have to survive one round without safety. Anything more than that, you're probably chilling. So it's something to consider. The one thing about this cast, though, is it's. There's a lot of great competitors. There's not a lot of people you can just beat down on in competitions. I say that being a person who is beaten down on. So, like, I don't think Kamu is going to run the table. Run the table. But if you're safe four of the final six weeks, you only got to get a little lucky to win the game 100%.
Corey Brooks
So Haley also talks to Chuck and over the course of the day from like the initial apology to later in the night. Haley just gets more and more annoyed with Angela before their supposed talk. And she more and more doesn't want to have that talk with Angela to the point where now she's talking to Chuck about like, you know what? Angela bullied me. And it's like, all right, Haley, time to get in line. Matt Hardman.
Taran Armstrong
You know, the amount of times I've heard I understand Matt Hardiman now in the past couple seasons, I'm like, you know what? I think you have been watching his TikTok. I still can't understand Matt Hardiman. I'm trying every day, Taran. But yeah, I don't know if Hayley's exactly a victim of bullying. I do think in this Angela Haley interaction, dare I say I'm taking Haley's side. I mean, I never. I'll never say that, but, like, I think I'm leaning that way. So maybe just bully's the wrong verb here.
Corey Brooks
Yeah. Well, Angela, like, pops in. They're up in the gym, and Angela, like, pokes her head in and she's like, oh, I was just checking to see who was in here. And they're like, hey. She's like, yeah, I don't like this room. I don't. I don't think I'm gonna come in here anymore. And they're like, okay. Smells good down there. Yeah. Awkward silence. You're welcome to join if you want to. I don't like this room, Haley. So, no, I don't think I'm gonna leave. All right, see you guys in a little bit then. Yeah.
Taran Armstrong
I hate to say it, Taryn, that's real as hell. I would not step foot in that room if I ever got back in the house. Absolutely not. Like, I. I think Chuck had the great quote after. I think that's a grown ass woman. Which, you know what, Chuck? You know, I'm not the biggest fan. Maybe it was Chuck time for that one moment.
Corey Brooks
Yeah. Yeah. Awkward stuff. So that, like. Because it's so funny because, you know, we had talked in the morning about how, you know, could this vote flip and is the thing that would flip the vote. Haley talking to Angela and re, you know, reconnecting, and they have that conversation, like, basically as we were saying that on the live feed update, and then by the by night time, that was the state of their relationship. It's like, well, guess not. Guess not for now.
Taran Armstrong
Yeah. I'm glad to hear it. Full transparency. If Chuck and Haley were on cameras three and four, I was on cameras one and Two, so for all I know, they had a crazy dance funeral esque plan for tomorrow, but it appears the status quo still exists and Haley's in a lot of trouble. But like, to be honest, I think a lot of the House expects Haley or Chuck to win the blockbuster. I've never seen less discussion about, like a vote possibility than Haley and Chuck because it's twofold. One, they don't think both of them are going to be on the block and also no one cares. They don't care that much. So, yeah, that's where we stand on this. At least right now.
Corey Brooks
That is really the biggest reason I think that the vote hasn't really moved at all is that nobody has. Nobody really cares that much. I think we'll probably get some more solidified conversations today because the vote's coming. But. But, yeah, well, we'll really have to see, like, because just to be clear, like, the vote has been this way for this long, but the votes are generally, especially these niche scenario votes. They're getting decided on Wednesdays most of the time. So for as much as it's been Haley over Chuck and that seems where things continue to lean, it could go any way today. So we'll have to wait and see on that one. Taylor and Lala spend a lot of time chatting. The general vibe is they feel really good about the hoh. They think they've said all of the pieces in just the right places and that, like, they think next week, next week is the time to flush power and target Devin's and. And next week is when it's all gonna happen. And it's. And this is where I'm just like, you're talking about this in the HOH room right now.
Taran Armstrong
This week could have been set up like an auto battler. And then they're like, all right, time to hit go. Meanwhile, their turns over. Like, yeah.
Corey Brooks
Barrett and Mallory talk more about targeting Kamu. That's still kind of the state of where they're at. And then we get a couple of, a couple of interesting things. One is that you've probably, if you, if, if you're on social media, you've probably seen this clip because it's a quick little clip. Angela, it goes down into the kitchen and she's like, she said she wanted to come in and do something funny like do something like kitcheny, you know, like, and then, but she's not able to do it. So then she's like, she takes out a couple of knives and she's just like, like, oh, yeah, this, like
Taran Armstrong
like,
Corey Brooks
real hibachi is happening. And then. And it fly. It slips out of her hand and flies backwards. This is the sound that that is made.
Taran Armstrong
Real hibachi is happening. The sound is perfect.
Corey Brooks
Sounds like foley.
Taran Armstrong
Yeah. You know, Taran, I'm in law school right now, and there's a lot of standards of evidence. Sometimes you gotta show that there was intent behind the crime. Sometimes there's something called reckless disregard for human life. And that was Angela chopping up with her butter knives. And I'll tell you what, if something went wrong and that knife landed where it wasn't supposed to land, Angela's in trouble. The video, the audio, it doesn't line up well. And I think she's very lucky. And here's what I'll say. Big brother locks up all the real knives. The butter knives are gone after yesterday, 100%. Real Hibachi's happening. The sound is perfect.
Corey Brooks
And Lala's face, because Lala's behind her as the knife goes up. And Lala's just like. And Angela just, like, hugs her, like, oh, my God.
Taran Armstrong
Yeah. It reminds me of, like in the old school Mario games. Like, boo. Like, if you're just standing still, you're looking at him, he's not going to come towards you. It's like. Lala's like, if I just stay really still, the knife will not find me. And I. She was right.
Corey Brooks
Yeah. So that's. That's one goofy thing. The other goofy thing is that for. It's. It's quite a lengthy sort of play playhouse. I don't even know play thing they're doing. Maybe rp. Yeah, sure. I like. Mallory sets up a little plane scenario with Barrett. He's on the plane, she's running the plane. And this kind of just like, starts to expand as they get more passengers. And then later becomes a New York City tour bus that. That contains Devin's and Yash and Mal and Melody and Drew and Dee and Angela joins in and. And even the cameraman is. Is like, giving him shaky cam. Like, oh, hold on, everyone. And it goes on for so much longer than I would have imagined, as they have just boundless energy of just like, oh, my God, Drew's sick. Drew's sick.
Taran Armstrong
Surgeon.
Corey Brooks
We need a surgeon. Oh, get him, sis. So help him. And then they just whack him with pillows. Oh, we're curing him. And Drew's like, ah. And it's just. It's just. It goes on for a while. It's many of the same things over and over. But it just goes on for a while.
Taran Armstrong
Yeah, this is the average Big Brother interaction. When the backyard is closed, they're just going nuts. And I was so worried this interaction, because I can't express enough how, like, Mallory is the life of the party. She was so funny and, like, doing. I was like, he's gonna walk away and be like, Mallory's a problem. I wanted to just enjoy this as, like, oh, look at them all having fun. They're locked inside. Stressful week. And I'm like, Mallory seems pretty good at this. I just felt like it was looming. I think they got away with it. It was just a fun time. But if this has any game relevance, maybe it helps solidify the Mallory D Fat plus crossovers thing a little bit. As long as they're, you know, just hanging out a bit more.
Corey Brooks
I mean, genuinely. Two weeks ago, I could never have imagined that Dee and Angela would be having so much fun with Drew in a group setting. Like, they hated him so much, and now they don't, like, they're genuinely, like, having fun. So it is certainly big progress socially. So there's a bunch of that going on. Another thing that just to. That has sort of, like, been a topic of conversation because people are obviously tracking the melodrew of it all. As people know, Melody does kind of have, like, a little bit of a situationship at home, which is part of the. The barrier to something like actually happening in the house. She also loves to do, like, her version of a cam talk is that she has this fake phone that she calls her mom on. It's very adorable. And she says on the fake phone, I'm always thinking of my situation. She didn't say my. She said the name of the person. I'm always thinking that person. People are like, oh, no. Because they had gotten so close when it seemed like they were about to be split apart. And there has been a bit more distance ever since. Kind of back to the. The norm. And so if you are. If you are a. A track, a shipping tracker, then. Then this is this the latest update.
Taran Armstrong
Terry, you sound like an old man. If you're a mellow druther, this is. This is bad news. But I was a big proponent of. I thought it was going to happen weeks, 1, 2, 3, maybe even 4 now. Team, it's not going to happen. And I think the takeaway for the fan base should be leave Melody situationship alone. The guy TV. This isn't like BB27 where the other person was on social media doing all this stuff like this is just messed up weirdo behavior. Stop doing it for the game ramifications. This bodes well for the icons, bodes really poorly for malady. Obviously she shouldn't get in a relationship or showmance if she doesn't want to. But like, am I flipping to America if we're not in a relationship? I don't know. Right. I would, you know, think probably not. So I think that might indicate where the game is heading.
Corey Brooks
Yeah. So, you know, I, I, I do still think there is something there. The longer they're in the house, the more likely something is to eventually potentially happen. And obviously like a situationship isn't exactly like a committed relationship by any means. At least that would be my interpretation. You know, people on Love island might have other interpretations, but, but you know, this is, it is, I do think, genuinely a bit game relevant as well in terms of how close they are likely to get. So we'll, we'll stay on top of it as we move forward. Devin's has a conversation with Angela. Two major things happen in this conversation. Number one, we really kind of have gotten to the point where obviously Devins did not tell Angela about his power. But, but Angela felt like it's okay that he's not telling me because I don't, I don't need to know. They've gotten to the point where they're now basically able to communicate this to one another. Angela's like, I love that you and D have powers. I don't need to know what they are. I don't need that burden. I love that you have them. And Devin's is not denying it. He does though, do a thing that was that they kind of talked about, which is like, hey, if it's an HOH takeover power, do you get the HOH room? Which is kind of an intentional thing that they seem to have planned out where like you can't lie about your power, but perhaps you can ask questions about a different power under the implication that you have one and therefore imply that you have that different power. And that is technically not using production as a strategy.
Taran Armstrong
Yeah, you know, in argumentation or debates there's this undefeated tactic which is I'm just asking questions, you know, I'm just asking questions, you know, I'm not saying I'm just. And that's what they're doing. And I think the whole using production strategy, it's a very underdeveloped concept in the sense of we don't exactly know productions rules about it. The making up your own power, lying about what it does. Okay, that's crossing the line. This is more on the line also. Is it good for tv? Like, that's always going to be a heavy consideration. I think what they're doing is smart and until Big Brother calls them on it, they should keep doing it.
Corey Brooks
Yes. Corey, your mic has started to get a little staticky. So, so anyway, they, they are doing that. And, and this is again, this is something that, like, another tactic they might use if they, if an HOH comes into power that, like, they don't vibe with. They're. They're going to try to make these implied threats as well. Like, you can try, you can try to know. So we'll see how that goes if, if it ends up even happening. But the other thing that happens in this conversation is that Devin's has been talking a lot about, like, I don't even think, like, I think we're. I think we're good. Like, I don't even think anybody's coming for us. And Angela says, well, Taylor is. And Devin says, I. I do feel insulated with Taylor for as much as he may have, because he did express some skepticism about Taylor talking about the icon stuff. He still feels like she's coming to him. Like, he doesn't know that she's fully, like, saying this and then doing this. He's like, I. I feel pretty insulated with Taylor because I'm in a few things with her. And, and Andrew's like, oh, you are? I didn't know that because he never got around to telling her about primaries or anything like that, or Wolf Pack. And he says, oh, well, yeah, there's like a thing with me and Taylor and Camu. It happened this week, he says, which is not true. And, and she looked out for me with the Lala thing. When Lala was hoa, she put in a good word. And Andrew says, no, no, she didn't. She pitched you to lala. Devin's like, really? I didn't know that. I was under the impression that her and Yash went to bat for me. And Andrew's like, no, no, she pitched us. And he's like, did Lala tell you that? Yes. Yeah, she told me that. Wow. Well, I guess we'll see then. So, interesting stuff. Obviously, the truth is Taylor did vouch for Devins. She actually did manage to convince Lala to not target Devins. That part is true. But she also has been kind of pitching Devins and the icons for a while. That part is also true. Lala, in the conversation that we talked about yesterday, Told Angela, people have been pitching you, but I decided I don't want you to go before jury, which we said, oh, that inadvertently throws Taylor under the bus. Turns out Angela did in fact catch what Lalo is putting down and has very much attributed that pitching to Taylor. And I think in her mind, not intentionally lying has gone. Oh. What she's saying is that Taylor tried to pitch Lala on this week let's target the vets. And Lala decided not to and is now relaying that information to Devin's. And I think she kind of threw Yash in there because why not? And so. And so now Devin's is hearing this information. I don't know how much he believes it 100%. He's not like, he's like, wow, I didn't know that. But he's not like changing his tune. By the end of the conversation, he's saying like, yeah, we'll see. And he quickly leaves the conversation. But this is definitely bad for Taylor that there. That like, Devin's did feel good and now there's plenty of reason for him to start to doubt even more where things stand with Taylor that she really might be like, fully playing in his face. I'm very curious to see where Devin's goes with this information moving forward.
Taran Armstrong
First of all, is the audio better?
Corey Brooks
Yes.
Taran Armstrong
Okay, perfect. So two things to discuss. Angela and Devin's here. I think with Devin specifically, he's kind of confused in the same way I'm confused because when Taylor comes at you with these, like, intricate plans and the enthusiasm surrounding the plans and like, persistence and keep trying to put this alliance in place, I think she's loyal to Devin's when I'm watching those conversations. So I think he feels the same way then he hears this info. And for Angela, I've been incredibly skeptical of Angela the player, Angela's gameplay this season. I think in many ways I've been vindicated. But the one thing you can't deny is her influence, especially over Devin's. Like, she really has had a very heavy hand in a lot of the evictions thus far. And like, this could be another one next week if Taylor goes. I think Angela gets a lot of that credit or blame, depending on if you're a Taylor fan or skeptic. So the most important thing for Angela, she's more in the know than she was yesterday. That's a great thing for her. And if she wants to continue having influence, she's going to continue needing to get this information.
Corey Brooks
Yeah. And I mean, the thing is it's so believable that Lala would have leaked this like that. Lala was potentially the weak link in the chain of information that leaked it to Angela, who has a relationship with Lala, and that Angela is now able to tell you, because that is true. That's exactly what happened. It's just that the chain of information did get a little bit muddied, but not necessarily even to the point that it matters, because Taylor is doing that generally, even if she didn't do that specifically. So it's. It is very. It'll. Like I said, it'll be very interesting to see where things go from there. Melody also talks to Mallory later into the night. They've talked about this already, but Melody brings this up again. This is a conversation that came up during the ratting out of the summit meeting as well. That this is something we talked about. When Lyric was in the house, she had the final two with Yash. She had that one weird conversation with Yash where he was, like, bringing up Rome and it felt weird. And then afterwards, she talked to Melody and said, don't trust, trust Yash. And then that kind of quickly blew over and Yash was one of the few votes for her to stay. And she came out of the house praising Yash. But in Melody's mind, like lyrics, dying words were, don't trust Yash. Why? What has he done? He's so sketchy. Right. There's something wrong. Why does Lyric not want us to trust, trust Yash? And so she's been talking about it for a little while, and it's just another kind of, like, point to put on the new Yash target. And so worth talking about that. Drew joins them and they talk about working with the icons to jury, and he warns them about Camus winning everything if they let him get in, get too close to the end. And then Drew and Melody stay up and talk for a while. You know, more flirty, ish stuff going on there, but not too much more game talk after that.
Taran Armstrong
Yeah, I mean, Yash's promise is now in play.
Corey Brooks
That's exactly what I was thinking.
Taran Armstrong
Right. I think it would be Lyric's promise, definitionally then. But here's the thing about Yash's spot. You can simulate this season a million times. Simulate this week a million times. Yash is getting caught somehow. Like, the position is too precarious. Like, yes, he shouldn't have been in that room. Yes, he maybe should have been on the right side of the Lyric vote. This season has been kind of frustrating to watch in that any player who gets a little bit too active playing the middle because there's such a dominant power structure with the icons, you get caught. Like, Taylor was riding that beautiful line of sleeping 10 hours of the day and then having three really nice hours of game talk. So she was like, getting stuff done but not being perceived as doing too much. And like, I love how Yash is playing. He's doing a lot. He's getting around and he's getting caught because of it. So I don't really blame Yash a ton for what happened yesterday. Like, he was pulled into the room kind of, and he's doing the best that he can. But you know what I think doesn't matter. He's in trouble.
Corey Brooks
Yeah, I mean, he, he was getting away with it and, you know, maybe if he's not in that room, he. He's not a part of this conversation. The primary focus lands on Kamu. You know, he has been really good one on one. It's just. Yeah, at some point it was, it was likely he was gonna get caught in one way or another. But. But that room in particular was so incriminating, and if he just hadn't. Hadn't walked in, that might have been a better spot for him. But, you know, he's still got some potential room to maneuver here. But I, I really think even beyond the room, the bigger issue was Kamu reconnecting with D for all of them. That's when everything started to go wrong for Taylor and Lala and Yash, because the second Kamu reconnected with D, he kind of spilled all of what had been happening and, and tipped D off to this whole situation. So that's, that's been like the bigger. The bigger issue in this whole situation. But that's about what we had from yesterday. Corey, anything else you wanted to bring up?
Taran Armstrong
Yeah, last thing. I have a comp for Devins. Indeed. It feels a little bit winners at war, Sarah and Tony, where, like, I think they want to go to the end with each other and I think they're incredibly loyal to each other. Also. They kind of have different interests in the game. Like, the people who Devin's feels good about D feels good about other people. So, like, I don't think we're having a cold war. I don't think we're going to have like, who would it have been? Like the Sophie Boot or something like that. But, like, I am curious, like in the battle of wills right now, Dee's basically one at every opportunity. Like, she gets what she wants. I wonder if at any point Devin's going to be like, we're getting rid of all of my wolf pack. We're getting rid of all my friends and keeping all of your friends. And like, yeah, I'll still make it to the end maybe, but I think it's something to track because, like, they're locked in, but their paths are diverging a bit.
Corey Brooks
Yeah, it's very true, especially the way that Devins has positioned himself. He's often the one closest with those middle players. At first it was Drew and Barrett, and now it's Yash and, and, and like Taylor and them. And then they were like, we don't like what Drew and Barrett are doing. And he was like, okay, that's fair. I don't like what they're doing either. Let's, let's target them. I'll pivot over here. But the second Devin's pivots, the power pivots with him. And now Taylor and Yash and Kamu are in the. Are the more dangerous players. And like, oh, we don't like what Kamu and Yash and Taylor are doing. It's like, oh, well, am I pivoting back to. Because I don't like Drew and Barrett anymore. You told me I don't like them.
Taran Armstrong
He's being.
Corey Brooks
But I don't think he's, I don't think he's seen it that way so far. I think that he's, he's been very, like, in step with them. But I, I, you make a good point in that. Like, I wonder if he will see it that way at some point.
Taran Armstrong
I think it's hard when you have the diamond power of veto and everything's gone so well. It doesn't feel like, oh, my position's really cratering.
Corey Brooks
Right? Yeah. All right, then that is what we have for you today. Of course. I will be back tomorrow morning, 11am Eastern to update, you know, everything that happens today on The Big Brother 28 live feeds, including what happens with the vote. I imagine, as I said it would, it should be decided today. There's not really any reason for it to go into tomorrow. But there was no, there wasn't a reason for it to go into Thursday last week either. And then stuff happened. So stay tuned for that. I will be live on my Patreon watching tonight's episode. We'll have a recap afterward. All kinds of fun stuff there. And, and that's about it. Corey, what do you got going on?
Taran Armstrong
It's patreon.com americori we're watching Big Brother 9 right now. I don't know if it's overrated or underrated, but it is bizarre. We do our podcast there. I'm also doing Gamebots with Morgan, talking about, shockingly, Big Brother 28. And that'll be tonight before the episode Wednesdays and Sundays. So tune into that if eight hours of Big Brother content consumption is not quite enough for you.
Corey Brooks
There you go. All right, well, thank you all so much for joining us here today, and I will see all of you next time.
On this Wednesday Live Feed Update, Taran Armstrong and Corey Brooks break down Day 33 in the Big Brother 28 house. With Lala as the current HOH and the house teetering between targeting Haley or Chuck for eviction, the episode analyzes shifting alliances, strategic information-spilling ("ratting"), potential vote flips, and the latest social drama. The discussion delves into major alliance dynamics, possible endgame trajectories, and several memorable in-house mishaps and hijinks.
"Lala is the HOH. Barrett, Chuck and Haley are on the block ... Haley remains the target. But there has been a lot of talk about potentially keeping her over Chuck..."
"Taylor ... trying to spearhead a movement with Yash and Lala to take a shot at the icons next week ... primarily Devins, who is the biggest target here." — Corey
"You know, this is like ethical ratting. Maybe it's like mousing because they're actually, like, considering what they're going to rat out." — Taran
"They're just trying to play the middle, and...I just don't think it's at all likely that he ever takes a risk to go after the icons for Melody and Mallory." — Taran
"If we are striking a Kamu, we probably want Haley gone. That seems to be a decent consensus."
"The fact that Drew also came in ... I'm like, this does not feel rehearsed and it feels like this is a real event..."
"Angela’s more in the know than she was yesterday. That’s a great thing for her."
"I like what Taylor is doing ... the fact that she made the primaries alliance ... has come in clutch a couple of times." — Corey
"There's this undefeated tactic which is I'm just asking questions ... and that's what they're doing." — Taran
"You can simulate this season a million times ... Yash is getting caught somehow. The position is too precarious." — Taran
"If I just stay really still, the knife will not find me." — Taran (55:04)
