Every morning Taryn Armstrong talked Big Brother. Looking at the stuff from yesterday,
Matt Claman
all the drama, all the strategy and silliness
Rob Cesternino
from Phoenix to HOH every single season, you know he is the reason, you know what's happening. Rob said that he could do it tomorrow. He will do it again. Hello everyone and good morning. Welcome to our live feed update for July 22nd. I'm your host Dan Armstrong and I'm here today to update you on everything that happened yesterday on the big brother 28 live feeds. It was day 15 in the house and we had with some names, with some naming of things, lots of namings of things. We also had some, some campaigning, some talk about the votes and, and plenty of other things to go around. And with me to talk through it all, it's Matt. How you doing Matt?
Matt Claman
Taryn, I'm good. I'm happy to be back especially so soon. And I have three words for you. Big day tomorrow. Big day tomorrow.
Rob Cesternino
Yes, yes, it is quite a big day tomorrow. So let's talk about what's going on. You can as you can see we do have a new, a new little graphic so pretty on if you're watching the video like a little, little fun little, little guy over there.
Matt Claman
So I don't know how much you've seen of Ashley on social media so far. Probably not much if I was guessing. But she's, she' pretty sad to be home and this is making me even more sad for her. It's just like she's the only one down at the bottom of this little graphic. That's how the game has gone so far. But I don't know, I just feel bad.
Rob Cesternino
Good to go through a few revisions to find a place.
Matt Claman
Well, she'll have a friend by tomorrow night but for now poor Ashley.
Rob Cesternino
Yeah. So, so let's talk about what's going on here today. Of course, as you can see in the graphic if you're watching along, Devins is the HOH he nominated initially Lyric, Melody and Jason. However, he also then won the veto, took Lyric off the block and renominated Rome next to Melody and Jason. So that's that's kind of just been the thing. The main question, of course, on my mind was, will this vote flip on Melody in the event that Rome wins the blockbuster? There's plenty of reason for it to potentially happen. De has mentioned that she's kind of interested in that idea. Haley has been talking about it as well. The other side of the house doesn't really have a lot of reason to keep Melody around, and they do kind of like Jason. So that is one of the major things we are watching today as we look at yesterday on the feeds. On top of that, there are new alliances starting to come together, and
Matt Claman
we're
Rob Cesternino
gonna see if those. If those lock in. So let's. Let's get into it. But before we get into all of that, Matt, there was. There was a huge question on everyone's mind, or at least on Taylor's mind throughout the day. Just really, just really something that she was really considering very deeply, very heavily. She was talking to the cameras about this. She was really wondering and. And I don't know what. What. What sparked this, but. But it really, you know, it made me think really philosophically about what my answer to this question would be and. And how it might impact all kinds of things, but would you rather be a vampire or a werewolf?
Matt Claman
Yeah. I also hadn't thought about this much before yesterday. I don't know if Taylor had it sound like. Sounded like she had this sounded like some well thought out thought processes about the pros and cons. And you might think like, oh, she just talked about it at the beginning of the day, which she did. She had a whole monologue laying in her bed about the werewolves versus the vampires discussion. But then throughout the day, it just kept coming up. It was just like her party trick of just like pulling this out to ask people what they thought about it. By the end of the day. I think it came up in four separate conversations. And ultimately, of course, I did think about it for myself. I think I came down on werewolf. I don't know if I could explain too much further, but it was just like. Of these two, like, of everything that I've ever heard about them, I don't know, I think, like, the, like, let me suck your blood part is not that appealing to me.
Rob Cesternino
Yeah, the. The funny part about this, to me was that she was like, I just. I just want to try to convey this, that she really just started talking about this by herself in a very, very serious. I mean, she got deep into, like, psychoanalyzing why vampires are like that. Like Like, I wonder if there's a lot of resentment because they can't go outside in the sun. And that's why they drink people. That's why they, like drink people's blood and, you know, like, like all this back and forth and yeah, you. You might have figured, like, okay, that was just a weird Taylor Quirk that she was talking. But then she does bring it up later in the night and gets everyone talking about it. Now, of course, I think, like, the main thing here is that people talk about Twilight because there was the whole like Edward and. And Jacob.
Matt Claman
Jacob, Not a Twilight guy, but I can get the names. There's also a Bella.
Rob Cesternino
I'm in my head it was Taylor because his. Taylor Lautner was the actor. But I couldn't remember Jacob in my mind. And this might. This is maybe gonna hit exactly like five other 34 year olds. But I played Adventure Quest when I was a kid. It was browser game and they had a team. They had teams and one was like vampires and one was werewolves. And I'm not gonna lie, I don't remember which team I picked, but I think probably werewolves.
Matt Claman
Okay, so we're both on the same team. We'll see if we can assemble. Maybe that's a rapcon game. Werewolves vs vampires will split into teams and I don't know what the game actually turns out to be, but, you know, I'm not part of the planning committee, so I'll leave that to somebody else. But yeah, this is a really, you know, important conversation or just again, thought experimen that Taylor's gonna go through. Taylor had such a fun day. I don't know, like, what was different, I guess within her. Some people were even talking about feeling like she's opening up more later in the day. There's gonna be some alcohol getting delivered. And people felt like maybe that contributed to a little bit more of like the Taylor coming out of her shell and just having more fun. But every time that she gets like another day more comfortable with these people, she's letting out more of her personality and she is a lot of fun.
Rob Cesternino
Yeah, yeah. All right. So that. That was going on there. That was going on there. But we got to the rest of the day, of course, and Jason is going to be talking to Rome a bit. Jason's going to be doing some campaigning. Basically the two modes that Jason has right now are I'm talking to people about how I'm going after Devin's and I'm talking to people about how they should vote for me to stay Because I'm actually going after Rome and it just kind of depends on who he's talking to, which mode he is in. But, but those are his two modes. And of course, you know, the reality is right now there's not really a world where he and Rome stay in the game together. And that's what he talks to Haley about. But he's trying to say, like, Because I think he understands that he is in a much worse position against Melody than he is against Rome. And so he's trying to pitch this world where in the event that he does stay over Melody, he is going after Rome anyway, which he might as well try. It does seem to kind of work on Haley, but. But for the most part, a lot of his campaigns are going to seem to fall flat here. At the end of the day, I think the main thing that's going to happen is if this vote does flip, it's going to be because, like, Angela does this to Melody. Angela gives the heads up of, like, you know what? Actually, it's time for Melody to go.
Matt Claman
It's over. Yeah. I gotta say, I haven't loved the campaigns from either Rome or Jason, and we'll talk much more about Rome's efforts throughout the day, especially later into the day, but I'm just like, I feel like they have a pretty good idea of where some power is in the house or where some groups are, some numbers are, and just kind of like doing the, the same old boring. Like, I'll go against him, I'll go against, like, that's not really doing them any favors. People don't believe the Roman lyric stuff that they're, you know, they've been going on for the past couple of days and people know that Roman, Jason have been close. Why would they believe this? So if I was to, you know, give them advice right now, I would say go to people that you perceive to be in power and make a really strong case as to why you will not come after them and that you are valuable to them and you will work with them and just a load of bs, just because it's, it's not. I haven't been feeling like they're giving that level of effort. The campaigns are, again, just kind of falling flat for me.
Rob Cesternino
Yes, they are making an effort, but not, not a great one. But, you know, that's, it's not that different. You know, the, the nominees themselves don't often make a huge difference when it comes to the campaign. And, and to give Jason some credit, he, he, I, I do think he has Haley in his corner, as much as that is possible from his campaigning. It's just that Haley is not the influential person he needs to be talking to. And. And so it's not quite landing, but
Matt Claman
to an extent, I do feel like Haley has a little bit more influence than I initially gave her credit for. Just, like, as the season got started, like, she is just talking to everyone all day long. So.
Rob Cesternino
And in particular, her relationship with Angela, I think, is. Is really pushing things forward. Forward for the both of them. So we'll comment about that a little bit. And actually, very soon, the other big topic of. One of the other big topics of the day is Drew and Melody and how they are continuing to get closer and closer. And we talked about this yesterday that Drew and Melody talked about, like, separating themselves a little bit, making this less obvious. That didn't happen that day. And now the new tactic is sort of like, they're both in private mostly being like, nah, it's not gonna happen, but it's fun. And. And then in public, they are acting like. Like, it's very fun now.
Matt Claman
Look, give it more time. Who knows if Melody stays past this week? If one of them get an HOH and they spend more time together, who knows? But for now, it was especially interesting to see Drew, who is now becoming. People are, like, not just now becoming aware, but, like, increasingly becoming more aware that people are concerned about him and Melody's relationship. And so to watch him try to dispel how close they are throughout the day and to try to play it off, like, I guess comparable to. There was a conversation between Jason and Melody. I think it was where they were talking about, oh, Devin's is trying to downplay his threat level. Like. Like, he's trying to make it seem like he's, like, not good in competitions, but it's so obvious we know he is. He just won two comps. And to me, Drew is giving a little bit of the same thing of, like, let me just, like, tell people that this isn't the case and hope that they believe it, even though, like, everybody with two eyes sees that we're constantly together and constantly talking.
Rob Cesternino
Yeah. So Haley does talk to Angela, and this was. This was pretty interesting. So the day before, Haley and Kamu had talked about going to the final two together. We had sort of, like, seen that as, like, okay, Kamu and Haley reconnecting, because I hadn't seen them be that close, but they had that little flirty moment, and it was like, okay, maybe Kamu and Haley are gonna be a bit More of a duo again. But Haley actually brings this to Angela and kind of talks to Angela about, like, I don't know if I want to go to the final two with Kamu. I don't know if that's the best idea. You can. You can. You get the sense that Haley is really using Angela as a guiding star in the game, that Angela has really done great work with Haley and really picked her up, and for the most part, I think is going to be able to start directing her wherever she wants to go. And good on Angela here. Haley is. I mean, if anything, this is. This is truly Angela using the Chelsea playbook because she's trying to pick up the Mackenzie of the season, and she's doing a great job of it.
Matt Claman
Well, she's also like, now kiss. Like, she's taking the two of them and trying to get them to. To. To share a kiss. I feel like she feels that there's a little bit of that tens in the air, which kind of has been throughout the whole season of like, is there something there? What was it like? Maybe in the very early episodes that. That was discussed, like, once, and then it just kind of hasn't been a thing. Haley was talking to Angela about. About Chuck and not feeling like Chuck is really, like, gonna be the guy for her when it comes down to it. And when it comes down to, like, you know, that line of thinking, he doesn't challenge her enough. So she's just, like, really kind of confiding in her almost like a daughter. Like, you know, they're. They're probably a little bit. Well, they're not that close in age. Never mind. Let me take that back. I feel like Haley just has the more mature energy about her that makes me think that she's like 10 years younger than Angela. But regardless, yeah, Angela's done a lot of good work. They're very close. They spend a lot of time talking Haley more than she does with, like, a Chuck or a comma at this point. When she gets back into a conversation with Angela, like, you can. You can see the walls come down right away, and you get, like, the most authentic Haley.
Rob Cesternino
She does also talk with. With Angela. They go to Melody and they let Melody know that they're voting to keep her in basically all scenarios. That is the current plan. Does not mean that things couldn't change. But, you know, and again, we're talking about Tuesday right now. Today is still only Wednesday, which is usually when things get a little wacky as we get closer to the eviction here with the Blockbuster. But. But things have been pretty steady up to this point, and. And there's not even much hedging going on in terms of, like, even pretending to Jason. Like, we're definitely keeping him in a scenario where he's on the block. So things feeling decent there for Melody at this point in the day?
Matt Claman
Yeah. I mean, she's. She's playing it calm and cool. There's going to be a handful of conversations about Melody not in the most positive of light, but at the end of the day, she's on the block with two very big targets that I think, for me, like, since the nominations were locked, it's like, all right, yeah, I can definitely smell a flip in the air like, that this could happen, but it really would take a lot to make it happen. Even, like, for a D, who was saying, oh, I think Melody is going to be a problem for me later in the game. I might want to make this flip. It's like there's not enough. There's. There's not enough juice there. It would take a lot of effort to make it happen, and it's just not worth it. Like, Rome is a huge threat. Jason has proved himself to be a huge threat and just, like, a little bit of an uncontrollable, and that's not what they want for this big alliance.
Rob Cesternino
Yes, yes, yes. So Drew and Kamu, we've been talking about how they seem to be a bit of a duo here, a developing one. They've called themselves the Handymen who work in the tool shed, and. And they are going to continue to bond, continue to talk about their duo. They, you know, Ku's, like, it's. It's like the. It's like the bomb squad, and we're the hitmen. And. And Drew is like, yes, yes, we're gonna listen. We're gonna surpass Chill Town. Like, we're gonna do this. We'll go on the Amazing Race together. This is gonna be a great love that.
Matt Claman
Also, a lot of challenge talk happening in that house. We're all gonna end up on the challenge. Combo, you're gonna kill the challenge. And, yeah, Combo probably is, like, a top pick to end up over there, depending on how this all goes. But always, always love when we're just speculating our future reality TV career plans.

Yes, Kamu does warn Drew about his relationship with Melody and how that's starting to become more of a topic of conversation around the house. And really not even just around the house, but people in the alliance. He specifically name drops like Chuck, Haley, Angela, D as people that are, that are kind of talking about this Melody thing. And he's not going to be the last person to warn Drew about this over the course of the day.
Matt Claman
Yeah, I'm, I'm really just like nervous for Drew. I like Drew a lot. I like the game he's playing. It's been a lot of fun to watch. And the Angela and D paranoia about him has really scared me because I don't want that to be how their games crash. I don't want that to be how Drew's game crashes. It just doesn't feel like that's a necessary thing to happen. It would be mess and so I would take it if it happened. But Drew is getting, you know, again, these little hints and, and, and notices that like people are watching this and watching that and just be more aware. And I think he's taking the notes in pretty well. But he also has no idea just how bad it is with an Angela or a D. Yes, yes.
Rob Cesternino
No, no idea whatsoever. So in the meantime, Lyric is going to continue to work on Chuck, in particular Chuck and Yash. We'll talk about Yash a little bit later, but we've talked about how she pretended to break up with Rome. She's very much still on this track with specifically Chuck and Yash. Very flirty, very like, oh, oh, Chuck and Chuck and Josh both are fully falling for. I say fully. It's not like they have not expressed that like, oh, I'm sure she's still more with Rome than whatever, but they're kind of already writing room off this week anyway and so they feel like they're, they're, they've one lyric to their, to their cause. I think, you know, Chuck is going to say like, he's, he, like Chuck has been like helping her work out. Like he's going to be her trainer and of course it's very funny because then when she's with Rome again and they're talking about how she's trying to play Chuck, he's like, chuck is teaching you all wrong. This is, this is not the right movement. And so again, just, I'm so interested to see Lyric move in the event that Rome does. We, I guess even if in the event that Rome stays, it might be interesting. Yeah, this weird interaction, it's like, so,
Matt Claman
Chuck, I'm still with you more than Rome. Don't worry. We, you know, that's not a thing anymore. I, I, this is, like, a little too part for me, but I think I'm more focused on the Chuck situation. I just have a question. I mean, do you, first of all, do you remember what you gave Chuck in the stock watch? And is there any chance that after the last, like, 24 hours or 48 hours that, like, since the stock watch that you would have gone up by, like, a number? Just because I feel like last, this time, last time I talked to you, it was like, oh, yeah, Chuck's, like, barely involved. He's just a part of this trio, and he's in the gameplay. But I'm just, like, seeing so much more of him gaming in the past couple of days, and it's just making me higher on him as a player. I don't know if he's learning the game more or just wanting to participate more.
Rob Cesternino
Yeah, I, I, I think we gave the, the panel all gave Chuck fours. The audience gave him a five. And, and it's, you know, we actually, Rob and I do the, the mailbag podcast for the patrons of Rob as a podcast where we do something that's slightly different, which is assign win equity. And so on the stock watch, I think I at least was like, this guy's fallen for lyrics stuff. Like, I'm gonna dock him a pointer or two here. But when assigning win equity, I was surprised to find myself going, you know what? Chuck is like, at least average win equity right now, if not slightly higher or, like, close to it, because he's not really being targeted by many people. He is an active gamer. Even though I would love to see him be a lot more active in, like, building relationships and not just being tricked by Lyric, but, but he's like a Devin's.
Matt Claman
He's talking to, you know, his people. He's just, like, having more conversations. And maybe these were happening in the first place, and they weren't on feeds as much, but, like, they're happening in the past couple of days. And I'm just like, where did this guy come from?
Rob Cesternino
He, he, to me, is somebody that talks, like, because his alliance has expanded to the tool shed, he's now talking more openly with those people because he's somebody who I think is really comfortable talking game with his people but is really obviously vague when he's talking to people who aren't his people. That said, he's still. He's talking to Taylor. He is talking outside of the alliance as well. So, you know, I, I, I'm definitely interested to see where Chuck goes in all of this, but, you know, it, It's, It's. We've still got a long road ahead of us.
Matt Claman
Yeah, we'll see. But definitely an interesting dynamic that the lyric of it all. And I don't know. I'm also curious. It's like, I was trying to think through, like, Chuck for him in the preseason. He was talking a lot about, like, well, talking a lot. But he said Corey Brooks was his favorite player. So I'm like, okay, he's keeping that in mind. Maybe he wants to play like Corey Brooks because everyone says that. But I'm like, who is Lyric, like, modeling her game after? Because it's giving like, she has a vision. She has someone in mind. I just don't know who the player is.
Rob Cesternino
Well, they're calling her Lyric Irwin.
Matt Claman
Well, yeah, I don't know that she watched Big Brother 4. I haven't heard any talk about it or 7, but sure, we'll go with it. It just feels like she's like, got someone in mind. And I don't know. I kind of want to ask her that in the doctor if I can, you know, get in there.
Rob Cesternino
Well, Drew and Barrett are going to reconnect. Drew Merritt talk a lot throughout the day. They had talked the night before. They had made. They'd proposed a final two, and. And they are going to solidify that final two over the course of the day. They officially name themselves the Jugglers because they're. They're both juggling so many different relationships and alliances. And so they are officially the jugglers here.
Matt Claman
And Barrett, Very fun, these two. And I'm glad. It's kind of taking Barrett a little bit out of his shell. He's been a little quiet lately, so just to, like, hear where his head. And one of them said, I think Drew said to the. To Barrett, like, oh, you bring out the worst in me. Like, in a good way of, like, you're. You bring out, like, the evil side of me wanting to play the game. As hard as we possibly can. Plus, they have, you know, chaos Rick Devins on their shoulder. That is, the three of them are working really closely together. So this is definitely an interesting pair, especially as the possibility of a tool shed breakup, even maybe as soon as next week could be on the horizon. Just watching how they navigate that.
Rob Cesternino
And that's. That's the big part of this conversation, is that Barrett is concerned about Kamu, rightfully so, to some degree. Kamu's everywhere, and he might. He's kind of feeling like he might just go right after Kamu if he wins an hoh, like, as early as. Just, like, immediately, like, next week, which would be kind of wild. But Barrett feels like he's kind of okay to do that. I mean, think about it. Barrett is not in the structure of the tool shed in any meaningful way. He's obviously in the crossovers, but even in the crossovers, his. I don't want to call it a breakup, but, like, his. His breakup with D has really put him on the outs of the crossovers. He's now connected most to Drew, who is also on the outs of the crossovers. And so I think that he's really trying to. And he. I think he talks about, like, he's. How he's really trying to get in with Mallory, trying to prompt her to start pulling him in more. And, you know, theoretically, this means. I think he's trying to, like, work with the other side of the house. The problem with Barrett here is that he doesn't have great relationships with the other side of the house right now either, especially as Angela and D are pulling in Lala and Taylor, who already are suspicious of him. It's like, there's not many more places for Barrett to go. And I actually feel like, if anything, he needs to start from, you know, pulling some of those red core. Maybe not Kamu himself, if you don't want to, but, like, maybe he needs to work with Chuck or something. Like, Chuck's one of the few people that hasn't fully been pulled in a certain direction. Now we're going to talk about the Yash thing. I think that's a great little avenue for Barrett. But. But like I said, he is. He is, like, looking at, like, hey, I might just go straight at. At the. At that red corner group. And. And Drew's like, yeah, whatever, I don't care.
Matt Claman
Yeah, well, and look, besides, like, the way that he was the last person brought into the room that night, he was asleep, to be fair, but, like, just maybe not feeling the most Connected with the rest of them. He's also a super fan. Like, he is like a true hardcore. Has podcast about the show Superfan. And if I'm him and I can, like, see the house as clearly as we can kind of see out here, which I think he can. I'm like looking around at those three, like, wow, they are going to fly on by, win competitions and probably end up at the end of the game if we don't do something about it. Now, if combined, I feel like they're going to be big threats and I can see that pretty clearly. And I don't feel like the best about my working game relationship with them. Yeah, I think I'd rather go up against most of the people on the other side of the house than these, like, powerhouses that could just dominate the game once we get down to the final eight. If we actually did that.
Rob Cesternino
Yes, I see that. And I think that. I think that Barrett's similar to Drew in this way, actually correctly recognizes the threat that Camus might hold long term to. To the crossovers and to this group in general. I think the issue is that while he's correct in assessing that, he's not correct in assessing his own position in that group and the fact that, like, Kamu being dangerous to the crossovers is actually maybe a good thing for him long term. So. But, but hey, maybe that's just not the direction he plans to go. And so. So, you know, it doesn't really matter, but we'll see they do. Barrett does also mention that. And again, this is like, it's. It's so surprising that we've gone in this direction. But. But he says D. He's already said D was at the bottom of his priority list on the crossovers. He now makes a point of saying, again, D would be the first person to go in the crossovers. In his mind, she's the most dangerous and most capable of winning competitions. They trust Devin's more than D. In their minds, it would be like D goes first. And honestly, I think in their minds, it's then probably Devin's that would go. Although that isn't, like, explicitly mentioned. But. But that's, you know, a hypothetical final five of the crossovers that is very unlikely to happen in the first.
Matt Claman
Well, you said yesterday B was on life support, right? And I feel like we're still at that point. They just haven't talked. Like, I feel like there could be a chance that with one conversation of just like, hey, have things gotten a little weird here? Are we still good Are we still whatever that, like, Barrett could get back on board with? Okay, No. D and I still do vibe and, like, we're going to work together, but without that and with this breakup or whatever you want to call it having happened and it's. That's been a little unspoken as far as I've been able to pick up on, it just feels like, all right, well, I guess that it's over. I guess we're just moving on in separate paths, buzzing our own way. Yep.
Rob Cesternino
So Lyric is going to talk to Taylor and Lala. She's making a pitch for Rome, essentially. And. And they tell her basically, like, listen, Rome doesn't have the books. They're saying, like, I don't know if Rome have. But there's. Rome doesn't have the vote. And they. They kind of also mentioned to her, like, that might not be a bad thing for you. You know, like, maybe with Rome gone, you could work with us. You could come over here, we could do something. And. And honestly, that is, like, the gist of this conversation. And then Lyric goes to Rome and she lets him know, I don't think you have the votes, but I do think I got Taylor and Lala.
Matt Claman
She's really funny. Like, she's just. She's trying. I can't. You know, obviously, she tried so hard. She got off the block. But even in these conversations, like, yeah, no, I think that we can make it happen, guys. Like, I really think that we could possibly have the votes just, like, coming in with what she's trying to portray as, like, this uber confidence that, like, no, like, we can make it happen. It's like, all right, Lyric, like, you know, you have some skills here, but let's not push it. Like, they're not dumb. Nobody thinks that, like, votes.
Rob Cesternino
They're not vets of Survivor. They're not going to be tricked so easily.
Matt Claman
If anything, they about to be working with one of the vets of Survivor that are going to keep them a little in line. So Lyric is, like, kind of running into a brick wall with all of this, but, you know, she's only got 48 hours left or whatever it is to keep trying, and the worst you could do is try.
Rob Cesternino
Yes. So this is news to Rome that he doesn't have the votes, and he's like, oh, well, guess I'm just going to have to win the blockbuster or get all the boys on my side.
Matt Claman
Oh, duh. Of course, of course. No, but actually, like, I. I might have missed, like, the specific conversation, but, like, is this actually news? To Rome that he doesn't have the votes. I think he was backwards and he's like no, I have the vote still. Like really?
Rob Cesternino
I mean I'm sure he was like suspicious, worried, whatever. It certainly has been like ever since like prior to being nominated he was like I've got this, I've got the votes. And I think that like every subsequent probably hour in the house has degraded that confidence. So I don't know if he was like shocked but, but I, I think he's definitely like oh, oh crap. Like this is final actual confirmation from, from Lyric that it might actually be a bad situation for me so I, I gotta go do something now.
Matt Claman
Gotta get the boys.
Rob Cesternino
He is gonna do. But before that happens, Matt, as you mentioned, Angela, D, Lala and Taylor come together to officially recognize their alliance that Lala is going to name the honor society.
Matt Claman
Would you like a bad pre planned joke? If this was a different Survivor 50 player on this cast it would be the honor and integrity society. Ah, get it, get it.
Rob Cesternino
And that would, that would be, is that implying that this is going to be the death of, of, of Devin's.
Matt Claman
Well, I don't know from his mouth, you know, I don't know how long I'm gonna make it this season. Well, you know, you're manifesting my friend.
Rob Cesternino
So these four coming together, as I said, I think it's great for all four of them. I think the fact that they are putting in the work to make it official, they're naming it, I think this is great stuff. I think that it's, it's, you know, again like alliances generally benefit everyone included in them but I think this one in particular feels very good. And, and, and it also, you know, I was concerned that if Lala and Taylor were gonna want to keep Jason over Melody, that this could be a concern for Angela and D because it would immediately put some tension on this new group and maybe not allow it to happen in the way that it should. Not a concern. Taylor and Lala don't really have that much of a preference and Angela and D were able to pretty easily. I don't even, I don't even know that they needed to do much at all. Taylor and Lala are pretty much like we don't really care. We're happy to vote out Rome over Jason. Jason should stay over Rome, Melody over Jason. Sure, that makes a lot of sense.
Matt Claman
I just like so badly want to get into the mind of a Lala, a Taylor, a Yash, like someone who is just so far out of the at this point, and it's like, please, please sit down with a pen and paper, a marker and a board and show me what you think is happening in the house. Because, like, what did they think? What do they think is happening before they finally get pulled into something here? This is fantastic for them, obviously, to be included in something. It feels worthwhile enough that, like, Dee and Angela, I think we're talking about, like, yeah, if one of us wins next week. The options now are less than they were. Those were two people that could have ended up on the block, and now obviously they can't. There's, of course, the element of this where Angela is going to run this back to, like, a Haley and tell her all about it. So it's serious. It's clearly not as much of a priority to them as some of the other alliances, and they want to make sure they're real and true alliances know about it. But again, for Lala and Taylor, great to finally be picked up and for D especially. But also Angela, I've been waiting for D to make more of these connections and pull in more of these extra players around the house that are just waiting to be picked up.
Rob Cesternino
So finally, yeah, yeah, Drew is going to talk to Haley. Spends a lot of time working on her and the relationship he has with her saying, I feel close to you in this game. They talk about Melody and he downplays the relationship as much as he can. He. And this is kind of like a funny through line throughout the day is. Is how often Drew is talking about how much he likes Angela and trusts Angela. Not in a way where, like, like, he's not expecting it to get back to Angela. He's just, like, actually sticking up for her. He's going to do the same with Yash. He's like, Yash doesn't talk to Angela and in many ways, in many ways, like vouching for her. And then on the other side of things, there's going to be a lot of talk from Angela about Drew. Just, again, a funny contrast to me. But. But it was an interesting conversation with Drew really starting to work on Haley here as well. Despite what I will say is Angela's suspicions, Angela nd's suspicions about Drew are. Are almost entirely unfounded in, in, in. In the way that they are talking about it. But there is a core of it that is still true, which is that Drew is everywhere and doing a lot. He's still doing it all for the sake of the crossovers right now. And, you know, theoretically that could change, which is a Concern. But the problem is, like, don't make him change, you know, but we'll talk about that later. This is the Drew and Haley conversation.
Matt Claman
Yeah, I, like, some people are probably not going to want to hear this. And some people, I think, are standing ironically or not. Haley, she is just. I can't get over that. I feel like she is in one of the best positions in the house. I feel like I know she comes out of last week, like, looking like, oh, people don't like her. People are saying all these things about her. They would want to target her. I just, like, I can't see the vision that she goes out anytime soon. Like, if she's on the block, even if it's next to her allies, I think her allies get voted out. They're just perceived to be stronger players, whether that's a Chuck or a Como. I feel like she's building these relationships just by, like. Like, I don't know how else to like. Like, she's like a perfect ally, like, for any of these people. She just doesn't come off as threatening. She doesn't come off as scheming. She's just a good sounding board. She always wants to talk game. And she doesn't like, again, she doesn't, like, push back much to the point where it's like, she'll add her two cents and she wants to hear what you have to say as well. So just for all of these people, it's like, oh, this is a person that I want to work with.
Rob Cesternino
That's so funny. I remember saying that, like, I thought she might be like a Mackenzie or a Casey, like, just because she said she was so loyal in the preseason. And that seems to pretty much be the case so far. The only. The only thing we they need from her now is to start winning a bunch of competitions for them. But, yeah, Haley is a super valuable ally and the fact that Angela in particular seems to have picked her up is really, really valuable. But Drew is also putting in some work here, so it'll be interesting to see. See what happens there. Speaking of, Angela goes to Haley after this. Lala and Taylor lock in and lets her know mostly that this happened. Angela says that lala and Taylor have approached her about her and D about working together. And this was an interesting move because she's telling Haley about a thing she did not need to tell Haley about. And I think part of the reason why she talks to D about it later, she's trying to still convince Haley to not target lala. But, like, this is so Far off. I don't think it was necessary to bring this up now necessarily. But also just like she doesn't want to get caught having not told people. But she's only told Haley at this point, as far as I'm aware, not told the rest of the crossovers or anybody else, and did not tell Haley like, the full truth of it at least yet. And Haley is. Is clearly, I think, a little turned off by this. Like, why are they approaching you? Haley, remember, wants to target Lala and this is now, like, a reason not to. And it's really kind of messing with what she was thinking of. But they haven't had. They don't have a lot of chance to talk about this privately throughout the day. So just this is something to keep an eye on for sure that Haley knows this and a lot of other people don't seem to yet.
Matt Claman
It's also like Angela probably not, probably, definitely knows that that's how Haley feels about Lala. And so it's like I have tell her because if she finds out any other way about this, she's not going to be very happy. And it's all. It's like Angela knows that she did. She didn't do a bad thing for her game, but she did a bad thing by what her friend would have wanted her to do. It's like, what do you mean you went back to your ex? But I have to tell you right away because I have to make sure that you know that I did this thing that you wouldn't have wanted me to do. So we'll see how that all plays out. But I mean, at the end of the day, I. I would hope for Angela that she had the foresight to say, you know, I don't want Haley to keep pushing Lala's name because at this point, lala could be a piece for us, a player in the game that is just by our side and we'll see how it all plays out.
Rob Cesternino
Yes, and sorry, just to make sure I'm specific here, when I say other people, I meant the crossover specifically who. As I said there, you know, there are always conversations that we don't see occasionally. But, like, we haven't heard Angela mention this to the rest of the crossovers. But Chuck was also there in the room when she was telling Haley. Though I think the Kaylee was the intended target of this information. So.
Matt Claman
Sorry. Angela's husband's name is Chuck, right? Or do you not have that memorized?
Rob Cesternino
Because I do not. I do not.
Matt Claman
I think that might be right. I Guess the chat can let us know because it sounds right, though. I think that's it. At one point, it might have been around here. Haley, like, so Angela's still in the egg, and Angela has found, like, the most comfort in the house by laying on the floor in the living room. And so Angela and Haley have a, you know, a good relationship. And at certain points, Haley just, like, comes up to Angela and just, like, smacks the egg just to be, ah, you're in an egg. I'm gonna whack the egg. And at one point, she, like, came up behind her and she, like, hit her from, like, the back of the egg by her butt. And then Angela got, like, jolted by that, and she was like, whoa. Like. Like, I guess she hit her face on the front of the costume, Whatever it was, the whole thing. But Haley's like, oh, only Chuck hits you like that. And I was like, huh? Oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh. That's her husband right now. I'm checking the chat. It is Chuck. Yes. So I kind of thought I missed a chapter. And then it clicked and I remembered. So there we go.
Rob Cesternino
Well, Lyric, as I said, continues to work on Yash again. A bit flirty, a bit like, hey, Yash feels like he can pick Lyric up. We're gonna get some confirmation of that soon. Jason makes his pitch to Haley, which I've already talked about, which is that, hey, if he stays and Rome stays and Haley's like, that's not happening, that he'd go after Rome. But remember, like, he does have Haley on board. So expect a pitch, another sort of pitch or thrown out idea from Haley about potentially keep keeping Jason over Melody. That is coming. In the meantime, though, Devin is going to tell. Talk to. Sorry. Before that, Drew and Melody talk about a potential group. And this is just seeds of something and not super likely to happen, but it's indicative of where things are with them, that they're like, well, we really like Barrett and Mallory, and we all. We both really like Kamu. What if we got that group kind of together? That could make some sense, make Melody feel a lot better that she has a group backing her up. I think Kama would be down for something like that. And, you know, it would help, certainly help him feel better about Mallory, who Drew is gonna tell him is potentially after him. And it's got Kamu a little spooked, even though it's a lie. Just a lot of little things going on there. But, you know, keeping you guys aware of that.
Matt Claman
I mean, the idea of Mallory in an alliance is just at this point, unfortunately. It makes me giggle a little bit. Just even her own group that she's supposed to be a part of the little here and at every turn, it's like, what's going on with these three? They can't get on the same page. It's just. It feels like the idea of. And then like, you see like late night, she's just like up stirring like these people D, I. I can't stand them all. I gotta get them all out. I'm like, Mallory, bring it down a level. Find some friends.
Rob Cesternino
She really. I. I feel like. I feel like I make this comparison every once in a while because there's. There. There's always like a player that's like this or there's sometimes a player like this. She's really like Arya Stark with the link list. Mallory like D. Evans.
Matt Claman
I'm sure someone will get that reference, but it's. It's not me. Sorry.
Rob Cesternino
Devins is gonna talk to Drew and Barrett and warn them that people are talking about them playing the middle. Drew in particular with Melody. Drew tries to reiterate to Devin's. Again, I'm a hundred percent loyal to the crossovers or anyone. Anytime anybody's on the block against crossover member, doesn't matter who they are, that the crossover member is staying and that other person is going and he is fully, as far as I'm concerned, telling the truth here. Drew has been nothing but loyal to that group despite everything else that he has been doing. It's all been for the purpose of that. That group succeeding. And it's because he feels good in that group. Like, obviously he intends for him and Barrett and Devins to like, like, do better than Angela and D. But, like, he's talking about, like, Drew more than probably anybody else is talking about the final five being those five. And. And so I. I fully believe that he is. He is being honest here.
Matt Claman
Gonna be so sad if his full heism journey is completed by next week. It's just. I really feel like he's got so much more potential in this game and if it just ends up being bad, it's going to be really, really sad for me personally.
Rob Cesternino
But I. And you know, I really. I also want to just like, because this is bound to happen, in my opinion that eventually Drew is going to do something against the group because Dee and Angela have been like, not talking to him constantly pushing, poking, prodding. He's. He's starting to be warned left and right that they don't trust him. Like, at some Point. He's gonna turn and Dee and Angela are gonna go. We knew it. Yeah, and the whole fan base too, is going to be like they called it. But it's, but it did not, it did not have to be, I'm telling you now, from the past, from the, from the time capsule, it did not have to be that way. That is what I'm saying.
Matt Claman
And I can't, I can't say enough. I'm never going to forgive Angela because she is bringing D down with her. And D is not. This is not you. D. Like, I need to like, go in there. D, wake up. This is, this is not you. But just every time that these two talk about Drew, they feed into one another. They're all on to Drew and they, they know his game and they, they've caught him. He's gonna be so good, or he thinks he's gonna be so good and sneaky. We're on to him.
Rob Cesternino
And, and this is, I, I, we're gonna talk about one, one particular instance because it's the funniest one. But like, if you, if you were watching the feedback feeds, if anytime you notice D and Angela alone, I'm willing to take this bet with you that at least half the time, if you, if you flip the feeds on to D and Angela alone, there is a great chance they're talking about Drew more than it is.
Matt Claman
More than half it is.
Rob Cesternino
Yeah, like, it's just, it's this, what they're doing all the time now. They, oh, we know he's not loyal. He, he thinks we don't, we don't see it, but he's. The joke's gonna be on him because we, we caught on to it first. And, and D is talking through very specific examples of like, how she obviously caught Drew being suspicious or like, like proving that he wasn't loyal to the group. Like, oh, well, who, like, which side would you side with? And he was like, what? And he hesitated and he got so nervous and it's like, like they're all false. Like, we know, we know for a fact. All false reads. But they're so confident about them. It's, it's wild.
Matt Claman
It'll make a really good television segment if they do it right and if they show all of the paranoia with all the clips of Drew doing everything in his power to keep this group together, get them to the end. They could edit this to be like an all timer of, of a segment,
Rob Cesternino
at least I don't know that they will. I mean, Angela's their number one Fan favorite right now. They've already edited her to be very like, ast in a moment that she was a bit paranoid. So not something I would expect from the edit. What if I told you you only have 12 hours to legally have sex?
Matt Claman
To Finding true love or just like
Rob Cesternino
a Good guy from the director of Easy A and Anyone but you. This whole thing is nuts. There's nothing traditional about this thing. On August 7th, the clock starts on the summer's biggest rom com. I'm a. Owen.
Matt Claman
Ally.
Rob Cesternino
What about you and me?
Matt Claman
Monica Barbaro.
Rob Cesternino
Callum Turner.
Matt Claman
I've been told I'm a seven.
Rob Cesternino
By who?
Matt Claman
Your mom? No, she thinks I'm a ten.
Rob Cesternino
One night only. We do R. Only in Peter's August 7th we do get. This is. This was the funniest interaction I thought between the two of them. Angela's just like the. The way he walks around. He's like. I know. It pisses me off. Angela's like, you know what? I. I don't even. I. I don't think his dad is just a guy in a band. Band. I think. I think his dad is a guy in a band that's well known, you know, because he's. He's. He thinks he's got this because he's like the kid of a. Of a band member, but somebody. Somebody famous band member.
Matt Claman
Look.
Rob Cesternino
Look how he walks around. He gives rich kid vibes. The way he walks around. But I've got news for that little boy. I've got this house. And D and Devins have got this house. Not you.
Matt Claman
Your. Angela is kind of giving. Like, Angela ate Vinnie, which might have happened because she's in the egg right now. But I just, like, halfway through that, started to, like, not look at you and just hear Vinnie in my head.
Rob Cesternino
It is not funny. People have said Vinnie is very different. A little bit.
Matt Claman
I heard a little bit.
Rob Cesternino
There's no. Angela doesn't whine. Vinnie is a wine. Vinnie. Vinnie was all wine. Angela is very different.
Matt Claman
Different just like that. There was something there. Sorry. So I had a little bit of extra fun with that. I mean, what. What is there left to say? These two are just being absolutely ridiculous. And again, D. Get away from her.
Rob Cesternino
She's.
Matt Claman
She's dragging you down. Please. Yeah,
Rob Cesternino
so. And Angela went into. Because D was like, you really think, like rich kid vibes? And she's like, did you. Do you see the clothes he wears? So barely ever wearing a shirt,
Matt Claman
pants
Rob Cesternino
half the time, black tank and a. A bandana on his head. It seems the way he walks around. But here's the thing. D is going to continue to. To float the. So, I mean, you know, what about this. I mean, we're talking about Melody. What about this Melody vote? And Angela continues to put her foot down. No, I want Jason to go. And basically her reasoning is, yes, he's being nicer now, but after what he did, she cannot trust that he won't do it again. He's too big of a threat. She does not think Melody is a threat. She thinks that Melody is a nothing player. She's easy to read. Jason has tricked her in the past. Much harder to read. So Angela continues to put her foot down. And. And in. In my opinion, Angela is the sole reason this vote is staying put. Exactly where it is. If Angela decides to start moving on this decision, the vote might flip or, Or. Or has the possibility to flip. But right now, Angela is the stopgap. Angela is putting her foot down and preventing D and later Haley from like, making any movement on this, which is
Matt Claman
just, like a fun element to this season. I feel like just Angela Murray being a part of the core alliance. Like, imagine if Ang. Angela was in the Pentagon and, like, they had to revolve the entire, like, early game around what Angela wanted to do and making sure that her moves were. Or her thoughts in the process were the most important. So we're getting to see that here with. With this majority alliance. And you don't want to, you know, go against what she's saying because she feels very passionately about it.
Rob Cesternino
Yes.
Matt Claman
The fun scenarios to play out.
Rob Cesternino
It's. Yeah, it's. Who. Who would have guessed it? Who would have guessed it? So Rome is gonna make his move here. He. He starts to gather the men, minus Devins and Jason, to campaign in the gym. Now, it's important to recognize, number one, that this was a plan by Rome to pitch specifically to the boys for. For their votes to stay. And it was known ahead of time that this was going to happen. And D in particular was like, I want to find a way to disrupt that if possible. And so when all the men are called upstairs because. Because there was a little bit of, like, I think of a mixture of, like, there was a specific pitch that was going to happen with these men. But even before that, like, the guys generally minus, like, Jason were getting together and, like, being broy. And so this notion of, like, everyone getting broad search the gym for Rome's pitch was, like, a little bit mixed with the idea of, like, the guys hanging out, out and. And D was like, I'm Having none of that. And she, like. Because I think Devin's was like, oh, you know, they're upstairs, but I guess we're not invited. And do you, like, basically like. Like a mom who is upset about her children being left out, like, takes them by the hand, drags them upstairs and like, chastises Rome in the middle of his. It's beginning to make his pitch like, like, how dare you guys not include these. These two. Their feelings are hurt out here and you need to include them in your meeting.
Matt Claman
Rome turns to them, are you guys feeling left out? And they don't say a word. And then eventually Dee leaves and they take a seat, which I thought was kind of crazy in the first place. I would have been like, maybe we'll leave too. But at this point, you're in there, you got to get the information. But I mean, the way that you just described it, I saw like 10 people on all social medias describing it the same way I had already written in my notes, the exact same way of. That's what this is. It's literally either the mom coming in and saying, you have to include your little siblings in this or like the little sister coming in saying, you have to take me and all my friends out for ice cream. Mom said so. It was just like very. That energy as Dee comes in and she's trying to, like, lay it on a little thick here. Being like, you know, Rome, remember that time that you were locked out of the hoh room and it didn't feel nice? Well, that's what these guys feel like because you locked them out of this meeting. And this is an all guy meeting and they're guys.
Rob Cesternino
Which.
Matt Claman
Valid point, but of course also a valid point that Rome is campaigning against Jason on the block, essentially. So Jason not being there is understandable. And Rick Devins doesn't have a vote, but it was still just comedic. Like, if you haven't seen the clip, it's all over social media. It's going to be on the episode. And it was a really good moment in this, like, ridiculous pitch that Roman's making. Like in. In the middle of this ridiculous pitch to this group of all guys or just the guys and not all the guys. Dee comes in, has this moment, leaves, goes downstairs, is like hyping up all the women. Like, yeah, I got it, I did it. And they're all like, yeah, D go
Rob Cesternino
D. And it's a. It's a great side by side on the quad cams of like, all of the men now upstairs in the gym. Devin's and Jason sitting there, like, uncomfortable, and all of the women downstairs, like, in the bathroom, like, talking about it, and it's like, well, look, we've. We've completely.
Matt Claman
And Devin's was getting a little weird with his, like, rationale. He's like, sorry, guys. I just wanted to work out. Like, I wanted to be in here. I wanted. I wanted to work out. And it's like, you didn't have to give it a. Give him explanation.
Rob Cesternino
Devin spends the rest of the night. Like, I wasn't that upset by it. My feelings weren't hurt. I was just like. I just made a joke that was d. She just went all like, again, very much like, like, sorry, sorry about my mom, guys. Like, I didn't mean to.
Matt Claman
Oh, geez.
Rob Cesternino
Just embarrassing. Rome's pitch itself is not really worth discussing all that much. It's basically just, I'll be a shield, you know, people will come after me. It's. It's. Who knows if maybe he had a slightly better pitch if. If Jason and Evans weren't there, but I doubt it. There's a lot of talk about it afterward being like, he didn't even promise that he wouldn't go after us. Like, you can be a shield all you want, but you can't be a shield to everyone. Who are you gonna go after if you win? And so it does not go anywhere at all. He also then goes down and talks to the women, which he had not intended to do.
Matt Claman
They're like, do we get a talk. Do we get. Do we get a whole speech? Like, yeah, you do. Let me pull up a chair.
Rob Cesternino
Angela basically gives him the same page.
Matt Claman
Yeah, it wasn't gonna go anywhere, but it was funny that they were, like, demanding their speech at the end. He gives them all like. He's like, can I have a hug from everybody? And they all, like, very reluctantly give him a hug. They're like, what are you doing?
Rob Cesternino
Yeah. So. Well, that's. Well, that finishes up Drew Barrett and Devins are going to more form, more formally sort of bring together the alliance with. With Yash as they. They do their. Their daps and. And they talk about how they're gonna bro down. And you know that. Oh, yeah, let's go. Yash is on board to take out Rome and Jason and. And. And Yash is feeling great. Yash is feeling great about this crew.
Matt Claman
Yeah. Like, narrator voice over this that, like, he had no idea that he is not actually a part of this group. Sure. It's. I mean, it's not too far off from what Lala and Taylor are being brought into with D and Angela, it's just like, feel comfortable alongside us, please. And if you win HOH week, we are coming right to you with this alliance. And if we are not, well, they can't put him up at this point. Now next week, like, any of these three putting him up, it would be like he would expose that they made a deal and it would be stupid. So obviously this does have some, some benefits towards him. But poor Yashi, he really thinks he's in something and he's. He's just kind of not.
Rob Cesternino
Yeah, it's still, I think, great for him. You know, it's. It's more incentive for these people in particular to not have him on the block to keep him safe. This is like, he's a great person for them to, to pull along in the game. And, and, and this is where again, like, he's talking with Devin's about like, he, he Yasha saying, like, I feel like, feel great with Lyric. Like, I feel like I've got Lyric and I don't think she'd come after me at all. And Devin's is like, me too. I also feel great with. Because there was a moment for me when I was like, oh, I wonder if Devin's is gonna start to see, like, so many people feeling so good with Lyric. But no, he's just like, oh, no, me too. I also. And she's just. There's no way she could lie to us, you know, like, she's just not that kind of a player. And, and, you know, Yash starts talking about the other vets and Devin says, yeah, we've got like a loose truce kind of going on, an understanding that, like, it's better to have, you know, the targets in the game, but at some point we're gonna have to take a shot. Drew vouches for Angela with Yash in particular. He says, I love Angela. She's great. And, and so, so, you know, there this is again, it's just like great stuff to be able to pull Yashin. And this is again where, you know, for as much as we might talk about Devin's decision making during the HOH and how maybe if Haley had won, this week would have gone a little smoother. Whatever. This is why even throwing the HOH to somebody like Haley might have been less valuable to Devens even through it all, because Devin's does not get this alliance with Yash in the same way if he's not ho, If Haley is hoh, Haley's the One getting all of these extra people talking to her. Haley is the one getting the information, making the deals. Potentially having this hoh being able to create these new, you know, whether it's Taylor and Lala or it's Yash being pulled in, it's just more power accumulating to them, especially in these early weeks. Give the hohs to the Haleys of the world later in the game. Maybe next week is even more fine than this week week. So it's good stuff. Kamu eventually joins and they start talking more broadly about working together because Kamu's also a bro and, and so they, they move on.
Matt Claman
I also just feel like, you know, Devin's we've picked on plenty over the past couple of days, his decision making and taking Lyric down and, and just a lot of the different ways that this has gone. But I do feel like he's had a good amount of check ins with just about everybody in the house to the point where he's tried to make them feel comfortable. Like before he took Lyric down, he's talking to Mallory. He's just like, hey, this is what I'm going to do. This is what the. So, you know, and like, I hope that there's a door for us to work together in the future. So there's just a little bit of that plausible deniability like going forward if any of them wins. Like, hey, so I kept you safe, I talked to you. You know, we kept the communication open. So it definitely hasn't been all bad this week. It's just been a little bad.
Rob Cesternino
Yes, yes. And so we are going to spend most of the rest of the night just kind of like chilling. Lala really wants to get to bed and, and there's some talk about how like Barrett's gonna make Lala have not next week if he can. And Lala is having none of that. But Angela's like, she should do it, not me because I had to deal with the egg costume all week. There's a lot of talk about vampires and werewolves. Haley is talking with Angela and Chuck and a few other alliance members as they come in and out. At one point, Barrett is in the room and Haley I asks Barrett directly about Drew and Melody and Barrett backs Drew up saying, like, Barrett, Drew's with us. Don't worry, he's doing his thing. And Haley agrees with him. Haley. Haley is into that idea as well. But after Barrett leaves, Angela scolds. She's like, don't do that. Don't, don't talk to Barrett about Drew. They're too close. You can't let him know. And, And. And Haley's like, Like, I. I don't know. I. I do feel good about Drew, though, so I don't think it's a big deal. I don't think it's a big deal at all.
Matt Claman
Yeah, Barrett did stand up for him. He literally said he's like, no, I think Drew's fine. I don't think we have to worry about Drew. And Angela's like, that's not. That's not what I want. I want anti Drew, anti Drew. Everybody speak against Drew. So, look, you know, she's got D on board with her thoughts about Drew, but not everybody just yet. And that's a good thing for the alliance as a whole. She just doesn't know. Know it.
Rob Cesternino
Yes. And this. This is. This is getting into slightly sketchy territory, in my opinion, for Angela. She does have Haley pretty locked in. I. I think that's good. But it's. Again, this Drew stuff is going to be the end of her if or could be the end of her here. It's just so dangerous because Angela being like, don't talk to Barrett about Drew when Haley has not been anti Drew pilled yet is like, Haley's talking to Drew. Like, there's a world where Haley's, you know, I don't think Haley would go to Drew with stuff about Angela unless she continues to be more and more sketched out about Angela's relationship with lala and Taylor. And, like, if this information starts go like, Haley all of a sudden has a bunch of information about, like, this lala and Taylor thing that Drew doesn't know about. That, like, Angela's like, don't talk to Barrett about Drew. He's too close to him. Like, that's a sketchy thing to know. Like I said, I don't think Haley will tell Drew about this anytime soon. But it's just. It's not good for it to be out there in the world and stuff hasn't been locked down yet. Very worrisome, I would say, for. For that situation.
Matt Claman
And she's very blunt in how she speaks. Like she was telling Jason earlier. Oh, you think there's a chance that you and Rome both stay. Not happening. No. No chance. So I could see her going to Drew, and if she does it, it would be pretty blunt, I feel. Feel like, to be like, yeah, Angela doesn't trust you. And like, you know, not like, hey, so Angela feels like this, and maybe we can smooth it over so it's, you know, definitely Risky, risky conversations that Angela's having with daily about all this. But it's early, and I mean, look, you know, not to give the hottest take in the world, but a lot depends on this next hoh. It could go really, really poorly for this alliance, and I think a lot of people are rooting for that.
Rob Cesternino
Yeah. Haley does bring up the Jason vote again, and Angela shuts it down again. No, I want Jason to go. So that is still the status quo. Somebody in the chat was just asking, did we talk about the screams? That was much earlier in the day, but, yeah, during. I think it was during. There is the. The. The Devil Evans, Drew and Barrett conversation earlier. All of a sudden you just start hearing, like, What is happening?
Matt Claman
But, like.
Rob Cesternino
Yeah. And then Barrett's in the. In the storage room with Mallory and they're trying to talk, and all of a sudden you just start hearing. I do have an open window, so I'm trying not to.
Matt Claman
You also froze yourself for a second. I got
Rob Cesternino
you.
Matt Claman
You've been known to hit your desk so hard, it freezes your whole thing up. So maybe the sound volume also could do that. They were just screaming at the top of their lungs. And look, I mean, we've seen this before. We've probably all done this before. You just got to get it out sometimes and you just scream at the top of your lungs. Maybe you scream into a pillow. Maybe you're in the middle of the woods and you scream out loud. Angela was like, oh, yeah, we did this on our season. We were just outside. But they're all doing it in the house. They're locked in. And it's day 1515, and there are already at the point of we need to scream at the top of our lungs in order to feel something.
Rob Cesternino
Yeah, they've been locked in for a while, and. And they're having a little scream therapy session.
Matt Claman
Imagine production. Like, there's. There's. There's plenty of production members that are watching the cameras and are listening, but, like, there's a lot of production people on site that are not aware of what's going on in the house, and they, too, are just hearing, like, really loud. Because it wasn't just, like, one or two people. Eventually, they did a whole group at. And I just can't. I want, like, a feed on the production people that are just completely oblivious.
Rob Cesternino
Yes. Chad also wants me to mention that during Angela's rant, I did leave the this. This, like, sentence out, but when she's talking about how Drew's dad must be more well known As a band person, she's. He's too musical. He's too musical. He. It must be true. So there you go. He's too musical. Anything else that you want to talk about from yesterday, Matt?
Matt Claman
So much broing happening in this house. So much bro. We brought, like, at one point, they were just all the bros in the hot tub. Just in the hot tub with your bros. You know, the. The hot tub. In the hot tub.
Rob Cesternino
Not. Yeah, not the outside hot tub.
Matt Claman
Not the outside hot tub. And at one point, like, Rome gets called to the doctor. I don't know why they were waiting for Rome to leave to do this, like, handshake, and I thought they were making an alliance at first because I wasn't watching. And I just saw, like, this handshake, like, screenshots, and I'm like, oh, get me out of here. And then I eventually go to see the clip, and they were just like, oh, what would happen if we all put our hands in for, like, a mega handshake? And, like, you have to grab my hand like this and like this and like this. So if you saw these clips, they were just, like, trying to get this, like, whirlpool of a handshake done. And then more guys kept coming in, and it was just a bro down handshake. And the bro down was happening a lot in the day because also later on when the alcohol delivery comes in, all the women go in to get to pick up the drinks, and they're like, oh, should we just not give it to the guys? They walk out, and the guys are, like, in a circle, just, like, standing there, like, and, like, being bros. And I'm just like, what is happening in here? Is it Yash? Is he just, like, leading the bros all around the house? Is it Rome who's trying to gather up?
Rob Cesternino
I mean, Rome was gathering them for the voting thing, but the. The da. The daps were. Were a yash thing. He wanted to try to. To, like, what was a hex tuple? I don't remember. I don't remember the.
Matt Claman
He had to keep adding people to it, so he had to keep adding. Leveling up the. The handshake. But, I mean, look, it kind of looked cool at the end of the day, like, when their hands were, like, all locked in together, it was like, I don't. I don't know what that's about, but, yeah, so lots of broing, but other than that, just. Just another. It was like a light day, but still kind of crazy in terms of the D and Angela of it. All, you know, and all of what they're putting out there about Drew and, you know, the campaigning. So we'll see today's waffle Wednesday. We'll see how waffly it is.
Rob Cesternino
Yeah. All right, well, that is what we have for you today then. Of course, as I said, there is still some potential for this. Melody votes flip. It is starting to a bit more locked in. That's because Angela has held the line. If Angela breaks at any point and there's plenty of reason to believe she could because of the Drew stuff specifically, but as of right now, she's been putting her foot down. If Angela were to break, it's still not going to. It's still not necessarily a done deal that the vote flips because there's still a lot of support for Melody, especially because it's taken so long for anything to happen. People are really settling into the idea that Jake Mason or. Or Rome will go. So I do think it, you know, it basically we would need quite a large thing to happen today for the vote to flip. Not impossible, but it would require a lot at this point. In addition to that, we've got a lot going into tomorrow night where the eviction and then hoh competition are going to be big, big, big factors here in terms of where the rest of the. Of the direction of this house will go. So stay tuned for all of that. I will of course be back tomorrow morning, 11am Eastern to update you everything that happens today on the big brother 28 live feeds. I will also be live on my patreon, Twitch and YouTube streaming during the episode tonight. We'll have a recap for you after the fact. I will not be on the recap but I will be on the recap tomorrow night after the eviction episode. So stay tuned for all of the that. Matt, what do you got going on?
Matt Claman
I saw one or two people asking in the chat. Thank you for asking. We're actually recording our first episode back of the diary room later today. Don't know that that'll be back up on the main feed until maybe two weeks from now. We'll put out for sure when it is. It'll be up on our Patreon by the end of this week. So if you're a patron of that podcast, you'll get it much sooner. But the Ashley qualifier, Ashley is the first boot of this season. We're going to see if she qualifies to make it into round two of the diary room. So myself and Aman will be back very, very soon with new Epis again recording tonight. Plus, Dancing with the Stars, the next pro is happening right now. Episode two just came out this week. Sasha and I got together to talk all about that here on RHAP. So we know. Dancingwiththestars.com we'll take you everywhere you need to go for that. And last is the free agents podcast. The whole network, but especially the challenge, is coming back in next week. Is it next week? No, it's two weeks, I think, at this point. So season 42, Cutthroat 2 is coming out, and we already have our draft we recorded and posted everywhere. So check that out and join us for the whole season of the challenge that KU wants to get on. Drew want. Drew says it's his dream. He wants. It's his dream to get on the challenge. So if there are future challenges, which we're hoping that there will be new changes. Paramount plus, I. I welcome Drew. I probably don't welcome ku, but that's a story for another time, so check all that out.
Rob Cesternino
Yes. Let me just plug Patreon. In general, obviously, patrons of Rob as a podcast are huge supporters of what we do here, but Patreon is a great place to be to support creators in general. I now have a Patreon myself. Matt's got one for what he's doing. Highly recommended. If you're a listener or a viewer and you. You want to just support the people that. That are putting out the. The content that you enjoy, it's a great place to go and. And do some of that. So that is what we have for you today. Thank you all so much for joining, joining us, and I will see all of you next time.
