Hey, it's Ryan Reynolds here for Mint Mobile. Now I was looking for fun ways to tell you that Mint's offer of unlimited premium wireless for $15 a month is back. So I thought it would be fun if we made $15 bills. But it turns out that's very illegal. So there goes my big idea for the commercial. Give it a try@mintmobile.com Switch upfront payment

Coming to you live from my apartment. It's Rob Podcast. And now here's the guy who is the original, slouchy Adam Sandler wannabe ass Rob Cisternino. We're back, baby. And we've got the most exciting nomination speech in the history of Big Brother and so much more to talk about here on Wednesday night. And so I'm so excited to welcome in the panel here, fresh off of a marathon run covering all of Love Island Season 8, it's Kirsten McKinnis. Kirsten, how are you?
Kirsten McKinnis
Rob? I'm doing great. I'm so excited that we got three messy on the podcast tonight. Let's go.
Rob Cisternino
Two messy boys. Yes. Yes. We're so excited. And we'll break down Angela's egg costume and lyric exploring the villa. And so, so excited to have you here with us, Kirsten. And then they just kicked off a brand new season of Married at First Sight. Let's welcome in Jason Reed. Jason, how are you?
Jason Reed
Rob, I'm doing fantastic. Excuse me for one second. Kirsten. Kirsten, I'm so happy that we're here together and that you and I are recapping this episode.
Rob Cisternino
I love having you recap those with me.
Jason Reed
I just. We need to.
Rob Cisternino
We need to make sure that we're
Jason Reed
not looking like you're not afraid with Rob. Okay? We could.
Kirsten McKinnis
Oh, yeah, we're good. It's gonna be so hard.
Jason Reed
Daddy loves you. Hey, Rob.
Rob Cisternino
Yes. Yes.
Jason Reed
I have an announcement.
Rob Cisternino
Yes, what is it?
Jason Reed
Jason and I curse and I are no longer friends.
Rob Cisternino
Yeah. Okay.
Jason Reed
Please not. Please not consider us allies on this
Rob Cisternino
podcast if you need to kick one of us out. Okay. I believe you. I believe. I really want. I want to believe you. You're. That's very believ. So I'm buying it. So, yes, Jason and Asia, of course, they're covering Married at First sight. And you can catch all of that over at we know dating shows dot com. Jason, how are you doing?
Jason Reed
I'm doing great. I'm happy to be, you know, here on this debut for me for Big Brother 28. I'm happy to be here on this messy, messy of an episode here to be. Of course, I was happy to hear the curse until we. We broke up. But I was always happy to be here with you, Rob.
Rob Cisternino
Yeah. Okay. And so we are getting ready for what will be a Busy Thursday, because 24 hours from now, we will know who has been voted out of Big Brother 28. Big day tomorrow, they say, as we will find out what happens with the blockbuster. And then we will. We have such a great podcast for you tomorrow night. We'll tell you more about it later on in the show. Plus Summer of Stein coming up on a busy Thursday. But I guess this will be the night that we remember that we got to see all of the big fight at the nominations and we should talk about it. And it really did deliver. There was. There was so much there. I mean, we were maybe 15 minutes into this episode. We're still dealing with ending of the nominations and so. All right, Kirsten, let me hear your reactions to what we saw tonight.
Kirsten McKinnis
I. Well, sometimes these 90 minute episodes, it can be a lot.
Rob Cisternino
Yeah.
Kirsten McKinnis
Some could argue the necessity of 90 minutes versus not but this week. Oh, my God. Like when I opened up my phone last week and I saw that we got the end of the ceremony on the feeds, I was like, what is this? What's happening? This is amazing. But then actually just getting to see quite a lot of it was just so special. We got to see Angela versus Jason. We got to see Haley slash Thog really get in there. And not as much as we would have liked. No. I really wish we'd seen the comment re Roam's ball size. I think that that was what was the only thing missing from the episode.
Rob Cisternino
Well, let's. Yeah. Because we did get. We get. We got everything that we hope to see up until that point, including there was some question of whether or not they were going to include when Rome ends up calling. It says, don't be a snarky. And we got that a couple of times, but we did not get the very well received retort that people really loved it. Then Haley said to Rome, what was. What was the quote? You have small balls.
Kirsten McKinnis
Yeah. She said, you have small balls. I've recently been informed that like, ball maxing is a thing for Gen Z and so maybe Rome could try that instead if he's dissatisfied with the size of what's going on down there. But actually that, that moment just pissed me off so bad because I killed Rob. I'm so sorry.
Rob Cisternino
Yeah. I wasn't expecting the ball maxing.
Kirsten McKinnis
You never suspect.
Rob Cisternino
Yes. What a surprise.
Kirsten McKinnis
The problem is, is like, like Haley came out in the first episode like, yes, I'm a girl, but I'm a guy's girl. I don't like women. Many things she said throughout the whole season have indicated that she does not care about other women. And then now I have to defend her because Rome decides I'm going to call her a bit like, absolutely not. Do not make me defend Fog. I don't want to.
Rob Cisternino
Yes. But that's where we are now and we saw all of the fallout Here. Jason, what was your favorite moment in all this?
Jason Reed
The favorite moment was kind of the die down of the Angela Jason fight, where they just. They start, like, transitioning into faux apologies. It's almost like watching a car fire die down and then a warehouse explodes right behind you. It's like, oh, let's go. What's. What's going on over here? Like, there's more stuff popping over here. I felt like actually the Haley Rome stuff was a little more entertaining than the Angela Jason stuff, because the answer Jason stuff started hot and then kind of died down. When Jason, I think, realized who he was going up against. It was like, I mean, I'm just trying to play the game. He was like, oh, I'm a messy. At least. Like, actually, no. Yes, I'm trying. I'm trying to play a game. Please don't hate me. And then Rome starts piping up. Haley was piping up, like, oh, let's actually get away from here and watch what's going on down here.
Rob Cisternino
Yeah. I wonder if, you know, the Jason and Angela stuff, and it was so good. And these are two reality TV vets at the top of their game. I mean, it doesn't feel performative at all that the two of them, okay, she knows what's good tv, he knows what's good tv. And it's like, all right, we're doing it. We're going here. Let's go.
Jason Reed
I think from. From the Jason side, yes. But I think Angela is authentically a little off. I think that's her.
Kirsten McKinnis
She's always a little off. We're like, that's the thing, too. Like, we have to remember the Angela that we already know. She's still the same person with just a little bit more awareness of how the show kind of works, you know, and she was mixing all kinds of stuff together because the conversation she had with Jason about him feeling a little uncomfortable about being around so many straight people happened well before any of the actual, like, he, like, looking at the camera. And so when she stands up and says, you're using your sexuality to manipulate me is so crazy because. No, he's using his dead mom to manipulate you. It's not the same thing. Like, it's. It's so, like, what, you're making this gay man feeling uncomfortable being around so many straight people about you now. Like, what are we doing here?
Jason Reed
I loved her trying to tow the line. She goes, you know, he's. He's telling me that he doesn't feel comfortable around people that aren't gay. And that's totally legitimate. Like, I want to make.
Rob Cisternino
Let the record show.
Jason Reed
That's fine. I get it.
Rob Cisternino
Yes.
Jason Reed
But then he laughed at that camera after I left.
Rob Cisternino
The problem for Angela is that she does have the receipts that Drew gave her, the receipts of what he said about all of these conversations. But she. And Drew's lucky that she doesn't bring that up here. And it kind of, like, lacks a little bite in terms of that. She claims that she saw him give a look, and that's how she knows. Now, listen, I myself have gotten in trouble many a times when my wife says, you had a look. And as I didn't say anything but the look, I saw the look. And that's. You're guilty, because I saw the look. And I think she's trying to process. But I. I kind of thought that Jason kind of gave a lot away in terms of, like, all right, fine, man. You know, so what? I was doing that.
Kirsten McKinnis
No, but I love that because he, like, he just owned it. He's like, okay, I'm caught. It doesn't matter how I'm caught. Let me own it. And I think that that actually did kind of make the apology between Jason and Angela seemed kind of real. Like, they're both having that moment. Like, yeah, we are both messy bitches. And, like, that's. That was fun.
Rob Cisternino
Like, yeah, I think that the. The apology is, like, was kind of well taken and well received.
Jason Reed
And listen, they're gonna have probably three or four more of these type of fights before either one of them gets out of the house. So I think this is going to be a recurring theme for these two.
Rob Cisternino
Yeah. I mean, I think that in each other, they have a sparring partner that nobody else can go to that level with them. And I think they realize that 100%.
Kirsten McKinnis
And, you know, it's a beautiful thing, because at the end of the day, if Jason were to go home tomorrow, not the most likely, but not impossible, he's not going to be on social media talking about how Angela is such a bully and how Angela's the worst person alive. You know, Like, Jason has more substantive content to create than to rely on that.
Rob Cisternino
Yeah, listen, he's not going to go full Hardman. Okay?
Kirsten McKinnis
You never want to go full hard. I did see a Matt Hardman TikTok. TikTok today. That shook me to my core.
Rob Cisternino
Which one?
Kirsten McKinnis
Oh, he. It was. He was talking about how to know if the girl you're talking to is really godly or not.
Rob Cisternino
Yes.
Kirsten McKinnis
And you do a Spotify blended playlist.
Rob Cisternino
I watched it when I was getting a little bored.
Kirsten McKinnis
Yeah. And then so you'll, you'll know if they're really godly by the amount of gospel music that comes in from what they're listening to. Important stuff to know.
Rob Cisternino
Jason, the, the back and forth with Angela and Jason really. The egg costume did so much also that when, I mean, when the hat came off, it was cinema.
Jason Reed
Not since Dana Carvey in the movie Master of disguise in 2002 has someone worked with this typ costuming to the, to the max benefit. Kids, if you don't know it, look it up. It's, it's, it's a pure joy of cinema to watch, to watch Dana Carvey work. But not since him. They have had someone work this kind of a costume in this.
Kirsten McKinnis
This is Teffy making a jungle to jungle reference all over again.
Rob Cisternino
Yeah, I, but I, I, I do feel like in that movie was he like in a turtle shell and I feel like that. Yeah, yeah.
Jason Reed
It was popping up and in. Yeah. It was very reminiscent of what Angel's got going on right now.
Kirsten McKinnis
Am I not turtley enough for the turtle club?
Rob Cisternino
I wasn't ready for a quote from the movie.
Jason Reed
Wow.
Kirsten McKinnis
Guess what? I've never seen the film, but that quote is in my brain until the day I die.
Rob Cisternino
Yeah. What do you think about Angela saying that she got this egg costume, she got the power. This was America trying to protect me from you. First off, are we buying that? And second of all, is Angela believing this?
Jason Reed
I'm buying it because I think it, I think it's true. I think for the most part, people wanted to help Angela because she is the BB vet of the show.
Rob Cisternino
Yeah.
Jason Reed
And I think, I think without Angela even knowing it, she really just stuck a dagger into Jason's ego because he was, he was the one crying last episode. He didn't get the power or the punishment because no one loves me. I thought, he's going to be, you know, he himself was reality icon. Why did he get it? Not realizing that this is Angela's show. Of course she was going to be in the running to get it, but I think Angela knife knowing did a lot more damage and she intended to with that.
Kirsten McKinnis
Angela was always winning the first one. She's the only Big Brother returnee on the season. There was no way she was ever losing that vote. And I mean, I can't speak for the masses, but I am so much more pleased with her getting this egg punishment than any power could have brought.
Jason Reed
I mean, let's be real. This was There was, this was never a random game of chance what Andrew's going to get. They were just like who's going to have the egg costume this year no matter what. Angel's getting the other costume this year. I don't care what has to happen. We have to fix it's happening.
Rob Cisternino
You know, I kind of was thinking that Rick was going to get the vote and I was wrong about that, clearly. But it makes sense that Angela gets it, that her fan base is all watching this season. Like Angela haters are watching. But also every single person who is an Angela fan is definitely watching this because I, I have friends that are very close with Rick Devins and I don't even think they're watching Big Brother so I don't think it's a one to one where if you love Rick
Jason Reed
Devin, I don't know.
Rob Cisternino
Yeah. If you're, if you, if you're a huge Rick Devins fan, you may or may not be watching Big Brother. So these fan bases are not necessarily portable.
Jason Reed
Yeah.
Kirsten McKinnis
They're too busy watching the highbrow television where Mr. Beast comes in so you can flip a coin. Very serious program. Unlike our unserious reality.
Rob Cisternino
If you're a fan of Rick Devins, you're definitely watching a Survivor season that he's on. You may or may not be watching him on a different show.
Jason Reed
Yeah.
Kirsten McKinnis
Because. Okay. Yeah. Oh, you've got 90 minutes a week. That's all you've got. You can't put in the shift to watch three episodes. Grow up. That's your friend. Watch the live feeds.
Jason Reed
Get a life. Or actually don't get a life and watch the show.
Rob Cisternino
Watch the show.
Kirsten McKinnis
You. I work a full time job, have a social life, go to the gym and I can still keep up with the show and the feeds. They don't need to watch the feeds. Watch the show.
Rob Cisternino
Yeah. Let's talk about Lala here who was so upset about this. And I just feel like that there was a little like cognitive dissonance from Lala here where she's so upset about this. But like had Rome gone to bat and said, hey, the person you cannot put on the block is Lala, she would have been on the block. She only ended up being safe by the grace of Rome.
Jason Reed
I thought I was tripping for a minute. I was like, wait a minute, did I miss the part where Lala got nominated?
Rob Cisternino
She's crying. She was nominated.
Jason Reed
Yeah.
Kirsten McKinnis
But she was given on a silver platter to the hoh and Angela really made a meal of saying that she was Put on a silver platter.
Rob Cisternino
I mean, but not really that. It was like she was on the menu. But that wasn't quite. I wouldn't quite say silver platter.
Jason Reed
We. We're not going to take the waiter's suggestion of what's what to order at the restaurant. Right. Like, because, you know, they have an ulterior motive.
Rob Cisternino
Yeah. We have a great. Today. Lala is. Is very. I really recommend that.
Jason Reed
It's like, no, you marked up the price. I'm gonna go for the much, much lower priced Melody. Okay. I'm gonna go with that instead.
Kirsten McKinnis
Wait, is that what. Is that what happens? They. They mark up the price on things the server recommends, Jason.
Jason Reed
I mean, I'm assuming everything's a scam. This is how I live my life. I don't know about.
Kirsten McKinnis
You see, to me, if I'm the server, I'm ringing it in with a discount so that. But like not telling them there's a discount so my tip can be higher.
Jason Reed
That's just how I live my life. I'm untrusting. Okay. I'm not gonna do what you want. Yes.
Rob Cisternino
Jason's not gonna believe that Roman Lyric are broken up just because they kill him.
Jason Reed
Exactly. I. I know better.
Kirsten McKinnis
But you're speaking to me. It's not like I'm a trusting person.
Rob Cisternino
Yeah. I was so glad that we got the Lala crying and ultimately Rome coming to her. And then we had the. The shot of Yash, which I wish we would have gotten a Yash confessional talking about what a. What an odd situation that was. But I was so happy that that made it into the episode.
Jason Reed
Yash is like, it's all good, man. We forgive you. Like, who's even talking to you? Like, this is between Rome and Lala. Roman's like using Lala's hair to like, wipe his tears. It's like, whoa. I'm sure a lot of like, hey, baby, you gotta stop that. Because this hair was expensive. You can't be putting your tears into my hair.
Kirsten McKinnis
You know, the hair expensive.
Jason Reed
Well, you would know more about that.
Rob Cisternino
Was it on special? Yeah. Let me know. Okay.
Jason Reed
Never trusted.
Rob Cisternino
One of the things I think that it's worth keeping an eye on is there is an America's vote and it is coming up. And so I think that Taryn had been talking about this all week about how, you know, keep an eye on the Rome and edit of Could Rome be edited in a sympathetic way to perhaps give him a better chance to be the winner of the BB time capsule. He did call Haley say that she was being a snarky B word but otherwise we did get a lot of the showman's. Kirsten, what do you think?
Kirsten McKinnis
I will See, here's the thing. It does seem that people are feeling some sympathy for him. I'm not understanding in fairness, he has small balls. They didn't even show that part. I just feel like Rome's energy is so off putting to me even when they are trying to edit him in a sympathetic light like it is giving, you know, big brother 25 Cameron to me is the vibe I'm getting.
Rob Cisternino
Yeah.
Kirsten McKinnis
And so, and I found him sinister as well and didn't understand. And then he won America's Favorite so like he absolutely could get it.
Jason Reed
I am due to who I podcast with, I've contractually obligated to not root for anyone or anything named Rome. So I will definitely be be hoping that he does not win any type of power. If he does, he gets a punish.
Rob Cisternino
Don't you want him to be the, the best reality TV Rome?
Jason Reed
I, I, I've just been told he just away from the the, the, the country Rome, the, the any people named Rome or else my podcast scene will end. So yeah, it's not gonna even mess with it. Yeah, but, but I, I think, I think the fact that they hit us over the head so hard with the schmoopy doopy showmance, I think that's gonna turn some people off. And we still have DE&R CBS royalty.
Rob Cisternino
Yes, I do think it'll be Rick Devins, but we'll, we'll see. Oh yeah, Kirsten, what else?
Kirsten McKinnis
Sorry, I need to fact check. I got confused about the hair crying scene and I was talking about lyrics hair, not Lala's hair. I would never speak on a black woman's hair, period. Sorry, that's not my business. But also, yeah, Rome is apparently in second place for the votes right now. How do you know that's what people are saying online? They're saying it's Devin's and then saying this info from. I don't know. This is what people are saying on Blue sky and I trust, I trust my, my mutuals over there.
Rob Cisternino
Yeah.
Jason Reed
Streets are talking.
Rob Cisternino
The streets are talking with Rome is in. Is in second place. Oh my God. I didn't know they had that kind of polling.
Kirsten McKinnis
We've got to mobilize. We've got to vote for Devin's. I would rather vote for Drew personally, but I don't think that he got enough content.
Rob Cisternino
Yeah, well, it's a lot of Factors are in this where Rome is going to have to go into the Bibi blockbuster, but the people could vote for him and he may not be there to get the thing. I'm sure it'll go to the second highest voter if that's the thing. But Jason was there quite enough to put him over the top to make him a, A, a fan favorite. Just off of this, I, I think
Jason Reed
we had last week with him being at the door, not being lit in, I think gave him a lot of, a lot of credibility with the casual.
Rob Cisternino
Probably.
Jason Reed
So, yeah. So I think there's a lot of up and downs that wasn't up. Calling Kelly a snarky probably brought him
Rob Cisternino
down a little bit. That's the beginning of the episode, people.
Jason Reed
Yeah, back up. So I think he's definitely. Yeah, up there.
Rob Cisternino
I will say I think that's something in his favor and I don't think that he will get the BB time capsule, but I think that the way that the episode was edited, it really did make it seem like the fake breakup caper worked like it really did. And, and yes, she came off the block and I think that people to varying degrees bought it, but I think that they didn't make it feel like it was like a masterstroke.
Kirsten McKinnis
They really did
Jason Reed
it.
Kirsten McKinnis
Was they really.
Jason Reed
I mean, is it a mark of the fandom that Rome is higher up and not Lyric? Like, why isn't. Why isn't Lyric in the running for this time Castle thing?
Kirsten McKinnis
It's actually crazy because Lyric did really, really good work this week. She has obviously snowed multiple people into a low key believing this breakup stuff a little bit. Even if they don't fully believe it. She's flirting with guys to get them to believe that they can pull her to their side. She. She has a mist. It is working. And meanwhile, what? Rome is just a crybaby, like making himself the victim of a circumstance that is of his own creat. It's weird. And it's also weird too, the way people get so upset about Lyric and her little baby voice. Yes, she's putting on a baby voice and it's clearly a strategy that's working extremely well. So why are we policing it?
Rob Cisternino
Yeah. Kirsten, I saw you had a. A skeet about this on the skyline, so can you. I was not aware of this controversy. Can you talk about the lyrics voice issues?
Kirsten McKinnis
Yes. So you may or may not have noticed that when Lyric is speaking in the diary room versus when she is speaking in the house, she does use a different tone of voice. She does a little bit more up speak, makes herself sound a little bit more maybe naive. And that irritates people for a lot of reasons. But I just think it's actually very strange for people to be policing a woman's voice in that way when like, I'm sure there's men in there putting their, making their voice sound deeper at times, and yet that just doesn't become a full front page news story. And I mean, it's the same with like podcasts where what women get different comments based on, oh, they need to fix their voice. Oh, they need to do this. You never hear it about men's voices. And it's just weird. It's just weird. Good for her for being able to make use of that tool in her toolbox and missed so many people.
Jason Reed
I mean, it's like telling the guys you're not allowed to use your muscles in any competitions anymore. You have too much of an advantage.
Kirsten McKinnis
And like, again, like one melodies in the doctor saying, oh, you nominated two little girls. That's not what I'm talking about. That's weird. You're grown woman. But if you want to use the baby voice and it gets you a benefit in the game, why not? I wish I had that skill.
Rob Cisternino
Mm. Yeah.
Kirsten McKinnis
Introducing Meta glasses.
Jason Reed
Hey, Meta, any last minute tables for two tonight? Sure.
Kirsten McKinnis
There's a great Italian restaurant 15 minutes away.
Jason Reed
Hey, Meta, where's the nearest flower shop?
Kirsten McKinnis
Five minutes away, straight down Broadway past the bodega. Their lilies are trending on Instagram.
Jason Reed
Just saying. Hey, Meta, am I forgetting anything else?
Kirsten McKinnis
How about setting a calendar reminder for next year? Meta Glasses available in more than 20 styles.

Rob Cisternino
Let's. Let's talk about the lyric in Rome breakup situation because I think this is a. We're in a little bit of uncharted waters, right? I feel like that we've seen like, okay, let's have a fake fight. I don't remember ever a couple pretending to break up before
Jason Reed
Yeah, I don't. I don't recall myself in the BB history books.
Rob Cisternino
Yeah. And it was interesting. It was just a breakup. Like, there was no fight. There was no sort of. Like, we didn't. We just got sort of like, hey, oh, guess what, everybody? We are broken up. And now we are on like that. We're exploring. Lyric is exploring some other. Some other. And she went right to Chuck and Yash. And we. We saw this from. There were some still shots of this from the feeds that I saw on social media, but we got the Lyric going out, going up to the guys.
Jason Reed
That's part of her game. She knows who to go to.
Kirsten McKinnis
That's.
Jason Reed
That it's working. I think that's. That's great. And she's letting. She's letting things happen. Like, she's letting Chuck mansplain to her muscles. Like, you know what I mean?
Rob Cisternino
Like.
Jason Reed
Oh, you know the thing about muscles? You don't even see how far they extend and realize, like, oh, really Great. Awesome. She's. She's. She knows she's doing. I give her props for knowing how to play the game in that way.
Rob Cisternino
Yeah.
Kirsten McKinnis
She didn't even, like, Chuck is like, good girl. After she does a rep of her lat lift or whatever. And I was like. And she didn't. I would have. I would have dropped the dumbbell on his toe if that had happened to me. She's so strong and brave.
Rob Cisternino
Yeah. And Rome is trying to sell it to Kamu that the breakup. The breakup was real.
Jason Reed
They need to take some lessons from Angela. Like, how do I. How do I stage some fights? How do I. How do I do this? You need a big breakup scene to really sell it. Not just tell people when they enter a room, like, oh, hey, we just broke up, or it was so bad,
Rob Cisternino
we had a breakup. Yeah. Don't tell.
Kirsten McKinnis
He's crying more about the nomination ceremony than about breaking up with the girl he supposedly loves but still will not call his girlfriend. For. For the record, they're not.
Jason Reed
Boyfriend. Girlfriend. One weekend.
Rob Cisternino
Come on, bro.
Jason Reed
We're throwing out the L word. One week in. I was like, damn, I think they're
Kirsten McKinnis
love bombing each other, which is crazy.
Rob Cisternino
Listen, they're going to have a strong relationship outside of the house. Was this in the episode? Did they say that he could see them getting married? That. That happened in the episode?
Kirsten McKinnis
Yeah, I think that was in the. This episode.
Jason Reed
Yeah.
Rob Cisternino
We can see ourselves getting married one day. I'm gonna date you.
Kirsten McKinnis
And like, to be fair, like, there have been showmances in the past where they get together really quick and they do end up together forever.
Jason Reed
Sure.
Kirsten McKinnis
I. I have my doubts about this one lasting considering he can't stop joking about her being a housewife when she's like I'm. That's literally never gonna happen. And I told you it's not go happen.
Rob Cisternino
In fairness, she doesn't know her true profession, which is a lawyer.
Kirsten McKinnis
Yeah. But like even if she's a singer and if she says she doesn't want to be a stay at home wife, like stop badgering her about it.
Rob Cisternino
Yeah. I wanted to get into with Lyric and Rome that we saw them as have nots this week and we saw them that they have taken their canoodling from their were in the bunk beds last week to the have not room, I guess. And they are also with Jason and Barrett. Are the other have nots correct?
Kirsten McKinnis
If yes, I believe so.
Jason Reed
If there was no other reason to self evict it would be having to be on that crickety wooden board look like you know they can hear them. Like they're not. They're not that quiet. Like, like please try to sleep.
Kirsten McKinnis
It's the way that like do they think because the wheel creeks that nobody can hear their little slurpee slurp sounds. Everybody knows what's happening. Listen. Yes, I talked about Love island all season long. Yes, I had my magnifying glass out investigating what was happening in those bedroom scenes. But like at least in Love island everyone's kind of on the same page that that could happen. People could be getting up close and personal, bumping and grinding, enjoying some french fries in the bed. Nobody signed up for that on Big Brother.
Rob Cisternino
Nobody signed up for this.
Kirsten McKinnis
Go to another room.
Rob Cisternino
It is a great have not punishment for the people who are have nots. That that could. That that is if you really want to torture the have nots. This is a good torture.
Kirsten McKinnis
But then it's a reward for Lyric and Rome.
Rob Cisternino
Reward for Lyric and Rome. Yes. I think there should be. If you're a have not, you should have to wear a chastity belt. What do you think?
Kirsten McKinnis
I literally said that on Blue sky today, Rob.
Rob Cisternino
Oh, good.
Jason Reed
I'm sorry.
Rob Cisternino
I was not stealing. I was not stealing your jokes. Like Rick Devins was accused of stealing Jason's jokes.
Kirsten McKinnis
I didn't think you were.
Rob Cisternino
Yes, I will say to the chat. I. I do. I hear you that Lyric did tell Rome she is a secret lawyer.
Jason Reed
He's like praise like oh, that's so cute you think you're a lawyer.
Kirsten McKinnis
I. Yeah, they have, like, this whole, like, daddy, daughter, like, baby girl kink going on and, like, whatever. They're two consenting adults. I'm not gonna kink shame, but I will kink ask why.
Rob Cisternino
Yeah.
Kirsten McKinnis
Okay.
Rob Cisternino
How do we think Lyric will maneuver if Rome ends up going home? Because I do think it is a fascinating scenario to contemplate late.
Jason Reed
I think she has options. I mean, obviously, she's. She's already trying to get in good with. With the other guys in the house. I. I think that would work for her. I. I do think. And, you know, historically, the, you know, the remaining showman, so that's left over, typically does have places to go after their partner gets. Gets evicted because they're. They're looked at as a free agent. They're looked at as a piece to pick up. So I think she could actually do pretty well. And seeing kind of her game savvy come into play here, I think will actually benefit her after if. I think the best thing for her would be if Rome got a big deal tomorrow night.
Rob Cisternino
Yeah.
Kirsten McKinnis
Yeah. 100%. I don't think she will get into another showmance, but I think she will definitely be continuing to flirt with the men that she's been flirting with as she tries to distance herself publicly from Rome. And I think that there's a very good chance that that would be quite successful for her. And I feel like oftentimes in a showmance, they evict the woman first, and then it doesn't. It seems like these men and showmances who get evicted don't have as much maneuverability as when the man gets evicted first and the woman gets to move. So I'm very excited to see her actually get to play for real without him.
Rob Cisternino
Yeah, I think she's in a really interesting spot because I think a lot of times when you target a showmance, then there's sort of, like, locked in, and they're sort of both with, you know, spitting tax and, like, how you think you could break us up are coming after you. We're gonna get our vengeance. And she has not done that. And I think that if Rome goes home, I think she's in this game for the long haul. I really think that she's somebody who. She could work with the. The vets or the icons. Nobody is gunning for her. If Rome goes home
Jason Reed
and there's no concrete. There's. There's no better concrete way to say this person does not have anyone than to see their showmans get. Get voted out, because that's Their. That's their person. So, you know, they're eligibility picked up. So. And it's kind of a race to see who gets them. And at that point, I think she would. She could be locked in with. With either a group or with. With a couple other people at that point.
Rob Cisternino
Yeah. Even if Rome goes home, I think that Rome goes home potentially without any sort of real animosity towards him. I think that he'll end up leaving the house sort of like. Like, okay, you got me. Good game. But he's not going to be, like, cursing everybody out on the way out the door, where people are gonna want to punish Lyric.
Kirsten McKinnis
I mean, even if he does curse people out going out the door, I don't think that she would get punished for it is the thing. Like, I really think that, though they obviously are still in a showmance and are macking on each other at every opportunity, I don't. I think people would be way more likely to blame him for her having bad behavior than to blame her for him having bad behavior.
Rob Cisternino
Yeah, I mean, I think he gets blamed for a lot. I don't think he had quite as much agency in the house in terms of putting stuff together. Where they talk about Rome side Rome was doing this. Rome is the mastermind. And I don't really think any of those things were true.
Kirsten McKinnis
Well, he thought he was the president.
Rob Cisternino
He thought he was the president, and he was doing a pretty decent job in the first week. But I think that they really just looked at him like he had this master plan that he had going on, and he had some good relationships, but he really didn't have that numbers to go to war with.
Kirsten McKinnis
Yeah. Unfortunately, anyone who is actually playing well is kind of already in the majority structure. So then when they have the power two weeks in a row, like, who are they really gonna go after?
Rob Cisternino
Yeah. Let's talk about Melody, who got a lot of air time in this episode, and we're really getting Melodies POV that she' is pretty tired of what's going on in this house. Jason, what did you think of the. The Melody edit tonight?
Jason Reed
I thought the Melody edit was interesting because it's. You know, I think for, like, the second week in a row, she's willing to throw people under the bus to try and try and save her. Last week it was. It was Mallory. This week, it's Lyric. So she's like, I'm. I'm down to screw over anyone I need to. To get myself in a better position, which, hey, I'm. I'm all For. But I think she's. She's has this new vendetta against Rick. She. Where she goes with. Rick's like, he. Hey, why don't you take me off the block? I think that'd be great. And he's like, okay, yeah, but no. And she's like, okay, but I see you're still thinking about it. And then Rick doesn't do it. She's like, all right, that's it. She's like. Rolls up her sleeves. Devins, I'm coming for you. You. You've pissed off the wrong one now. It's like, you've won zero competitions. He's 12 so far. Just remember that, please.
Kirsten McKinnis
Well, but they did also really undercut Melody's campaigning because it was actually, like, it was much more likely that she would be saved at a certain point where she was working really hard. Drew was working really hard. Was it. Fog was the third one. I can't remember who the third person was that was really pushing for it. But, like, she did do good work. That should have been successful. If Rick was not, for whatever reason, deciding to believe Lyric when there is actually no information, like, no reason to believe her. Like, when Lyric is campaigning and she's like, if I'm hoh, I'll never nominate you. Like, I'm with you. Like, I could consider working with you. It's like, to me, I find that so much less believable than, you know, Melody is kind of more realistic. Here's why it makes sense for you to take me off the block. Like, Melody's doing kind of classic Big Brother, looking at Rick's incentives, and then Lyric is just throwing it at the wall, and for some reason, it sticks. And so I do think the edit that kind of underserved Melody a little bit.
Jason Reed
Well, I mean, she kind of campaigned herself into staying on the block because, like, at that point, do you realize, like, oh, she might actually know what she's talking about? So I think if anyone's gonna stay on the block and have a risk of going home, it should be someone that actually knows what they're doing instead of Lyric, who's doing these, like, garden variety. Oh, if you keep. You keep me, I'll keep you safe next week or, you know, whatever. So I think she kind of campaigned herself to stay on the block.
Rob Cisternino
Yeah, the episode, I think, really painted it as, you know, Rick's logic was that I trust Lyric. I think that she is more likely to stay true to what she's saying. Where Melody. I really. I just don't trust her. She seems like she's shady. We talked about this from the Sunday night episode where there was a moment in the HOH competition where Melody and Rick weren't on the same page. But I think that the part of the story that they really under edited or flat out didn't include is the distrust of Drew. Rick talked about it a little bit when Drew was pushing for Melody to come down and Rick told us he's like, the way that Drew is, is pushing for Melody. It's. It's making me feel like that maybe I should keep Melody on the block. But we really did not get the D and Angela side of this where they really had a lot of distrust of Drew that they've talked about.
Kirsten McKinnis
Yeah, 100%. And the a certain point I'm like, Drew is literally coming to them, telling them everything has actually given them no reason not to trust him at this point in time to the point where like, okay, well it's got it. There's something in, in Drew's delivery that's just not working for it to be so easily spread that he is not trustworthy or that people are getting a bad vibe off of him.
Rob Cisternino
Yeah. How's your vibe on Drew, Kirsten?
Kirsten McKinnis
I actually really like Drew. I think that he has a lot of really great instincts in the game. He has watched over 100 hours of Rejp which is like what the two weeks of big Brother coverage. So that's great. And I think he's in a really great spot. I think his dynamic with Melody is really interesting and I like watching him. And I really wish that Angela could see a little bit more clearly because she is really pushing the agenda against Drew. And like we know how Angela operates in this house and it's not always based on facts. And I think just because she's a returnee and the only one who's played Big Brother in the house before that she's being trusted like a little bit more than she maybe otherwise would be or should be.
Rob Cisternino
Yeah. Jason, I have found over these episodes also that, that they give a lot of diary rooms to Drew where he is talking about like he's kind of like the voice of reason in the diary room.
Jason Reed
Yeah. I think the way he kind of speaks confidently as if he knows what he's talking about. I think also he's kind of like, how do I put the desirable demographic of the. The BB watchers of like the, the nice looking, young, clean cut kid is like, oh, I love do this, this, that like I think so. I Think that's why he's kind of being featured, because he's not only this. This nice kind of young kid, he kind of also knows he's talking about. Yeah, it can translate that.
Rob Cisternino
Yeah. And I think that Drew and Mallory, I think, are both being presented in an interesting way where they're sort of like the. They're at the kids table, but they do have a good sense of what's going on in the game and they're asking the right questions. So I. I could see them really being painted as fan favorites.
Kirsten McKinnis
Yeah, it could happen, for sure.
Rob Cisternino
Yeah. How about Angela Egg? We got to see a lot of the Angela in the egg costume and the torture that she's going through. Did you have any favorite Angela moments from being in the Egg?
Jason Reed
I kind of love the montage of. Of her being just kind of exasperated. Exasperated in the egg costume. Kind of her in, like, just. Just kind of taking shelter inside of the egg costume and just this. This exasperated look on her face. Like, that's just secondhand. Misery is one of my favorite things out there. So I just kind of. It just kind of did everything for me.
Rob Cisternino
Yeah. There was a really great shot of, like, basically Angela, like, looking through, like, the porthole outside the top of the egg where she's laying down and Barrett is, like, contorting himself to be able to look in and talk to her
Jason Reed
while she's dealing with that trapped in her misery.
Kirsten McKinnis
It's. And, like, I love the egg. I. I think they should make somebody be the egg every year, maybe the first week every year, someone has to be the egg. It's so funny. Angela is in absolute misery in the funniest way. She's falling over in the diary room. She's trying to hide inside of it. But what I don't think we've talked enough about is the. The egg white pajamas. Because I. If you. If you had me guess what those pajamas were supposed to be, I wouldn't have guessed.
Rob Cisternino
What would you guess?
Kirsten McKinnis
You know, that's more for, like. Like an 8th grade health class to be sorting out, I think.
Rob Cisternino
Yeah.
Jason Reed
So.
Rob Cisternino
So not the Egg then, is what you're saying.
Jason Reed
Yeah. What goes in the egg.
Kirsten McKinnis
Yeah, exactly.
Jason Reed
Should have her wear that and have someone else wear the egg costume. They have to sleep in the same room every night. I don't know.
Kirsten McKinnis
They have to cuddle up like, Roman. Ly.
Rob Cisternino
Explain things to Roman. Lyric. Like, hey, just. We want to, like, just make sure you're aware of everything.
Kirsten McKinnis
Yeah, that's. There's something with the small balls joke there, but I can't quite find it.
Rob Cisternino
Did Vince have to wear a special, like, egg white pajama? I don't recall this.
Kirsten McKinnis
He had egg pajamas. I do remember, but it. It didn't look like that. It wasn't these ones. Yeah, it was different.
Rob Cisternino
Okay.
Kirsten McKinnis
But I. I really feel like it wasn't these ones. If I'm wrong, please correct me, Chad, but I remember him having pajamas, but I don't remember them looking like a sperm. And I would because I was on one of the podcasts that week last year. Oh, exactly the same, but he's just a bean pool. Okay.
Jason Reed
It's.
Kirsten McKinnis
It's about the fit of the pajamas.

Let's talk about the veto competition where we had this puzzle that everybody had to do. It was the Summer of Love, and my kids were very excited that Drew said six, seven, and we went back in time and we had Mr. Satar. Man who. That could have been a cameo. Come on.
Jason Reed
Somebody.
Kirsten McKinnis
Yeah.
Jason Reed
That was ridiculous.
Kirsten McKinnis
Is this the first time that they've put on any of these that. Where no one on the podcast was alive at the time.
Rob Cisternino
I mean, these prehistoric times.
Kirsten McKinnis
Well, that's true.
Rob Cisternino
Yeah.
Jason Reed
It's kind of messed up. They made. They made Lala, you know, host that. Host that competition. You're probably the closest to being alive. Why don't you host it?
Rob Cisternino
So we had to do this puzzle and put this all together. And I feel like that maybe the edit didn't do this justice, but maybe that this was a story that the retelling was much better than the actual photo finish. That we saw Kirsten because I heard a story about how that Jason had the whole thing figured out and then was admiring his puzzle while Rick Devins then snuck in. Classic Rick Devins Bugs Bunny move. And stole the competition from Jason.
Kirsten McKinnis
Yeah. Rick Devins is always stealing from Jason, isn't he?
Rob Cisternino
Seems like a consistent jokes, right?
Kirsten McKinnis
Exactly. I just. Maybe it was poorly edited, but based on what I saw, it didn't align with the story that we've been told.
Rob Cisternino
Yeah.
Kirsten McKinnis
About the challenge.
Rob Cisternino
Jason looked like that Rick Devins had it first.
Jason Reed
Yeah. To me. I mean, I. I think Jason said something at the end of like he was so close, but I mean, not the way that we were sold it in the retelling of like split seconds. And Jason actually had his done before Devin's and just couldn't get it rung in time. It just. Just kind of went. It kind of yada yada for me.
Kirsten McKinnis
The whole.
Jason Reed
The whole thing. Like would you rather watch this competition or watch Lyric and Rome suck face for like five minutes? I don't know.
Kirsten McKinnis
Oh my God. I was just so grateful. We had 90 minutes so we could hear every single person's strategy for completing The Summer of 67 puzzle.
Rob Cisternino
How about Barrett wishes that he was at Woodstock and he would go in the van and get more psychedelic.
Kirsten McKinnis
I mean, I think Barrett would rather be doing anything than play veto competition because he's been laughably bad at both of them so far. I like. And embarrassingly bad, actually.
Jason Reed
Time in the van. He could probably get better at these competitions.
Rob Cisternino
Yes.
Kirsten McKinnis
Yeah. A little less time in the van.
Rob Cisternino
Yeah. Ultimately. Yeah. We had such a build up to the veto competition last week with Will world and the lore that with Howie coming in. I wonder if they knew. Like, oh boy, we had such an exciting nomination ceremony. Let's just. Just yada yada. The time travel veto this week.
Kirsten McKinnis
It would be really funny if we found out that there actually was a big brother alum there the whole time. And it just got cut for.
Rob Cisternino
They didn't mention anybody, but maybe somebody fell through at the last minute or
Jason Reed
just that whoever that satar person was was. Was actually house. Guess as they aged so terribly. We just don't know who they are. We just don't remember them.
Kirsten McKinnis
I. I saw someone trying to say that the satarist was like a survivor player, but I don't know who and I think that it was a joke.
Rob Cisternino
So.
Kirsten McKinnis
Yeah, Rob would have known.
Rob Cisternino
I wouldn't know. I don't even understand why that guy had to be there.
Jason Reed
Yeah, he didn't do anything. He didn't post it. He didn't do anything.
Kirsten McKinnis
No. I'm not the most familiar with Woodstock, having been born in 1992, but was like a sitar. A big situation there. I know neither of you were alive
Rob Cisternino
instrument, but I don't know if there's a connection between the sitar and Woodstock. And I didn't know. I thought it was like going to be something where he would. When the satar guy was playing, you could go and look for your pieces. But didn't seem like had anything to do with it.
Jason Reed
No, no.
Kirsten McKinnis
Maybe he had to. Maybe he ate some of that Taylor Farms lettuce and had to go.
Rob Cisternino
Yeah.
Jason Reed
Had to excuse himself to go.
Rob Cisternino
Okay, so ultimately that Rick Devins ends up winning the veto and Jason is not happy with Rick Devins and says that he's gonna have to have to kiss ass to Rick. I might just have to kiss his slouchy Adam Sandler wannabe ass.
Jason Reed
Wow.
Kirsten McKinnis
I've never thought of Rick Devin, like. And like, I think at this point in my life, I'm pretty Rick Devins neutral. That has not always been the case. I've never thought of him as an Adam Sandler.
Rob Cisternino
You know, I have to say, though, I can't unsee it now that Jason said that you put Rick Devins, like, in. In a pair of like, baggy shorts. Like, like, I really could see it.
Kirsten McKinnis
He did get a jar of pickles in his hoh basket. So like, that is relevant, I suppose. Have you ever seen the paparazzi picture of Adam Sandler's got the jar pickles?
Rob Cisternino
No, I haven't.
Kirsten McKinnis
Oh, my God. Well, I'm gonna have to find it after this.
Rob Cisternino
Yeah. But. All right. Rick Devins ends up winning the veto and we end up seeing the campaigning, which. Which we feel like we. We largely talked about. Were there any other things from this episode that we should get into?
Kirsten McKinnis
There's one thing I wanted to bring up that's been sitting on my spirit. The announcer guy at the very start of this episode says, if you have to go to the bathroom, hold it.
Rob Cisternino
Yeah.
Kirsten McKinnis
And I. That was extremely strange to me. And I just think eventually, like, you shouldn't. If you have to the bathroom, you should go to the bathroom. It's not good to hold it.
Rob Cisternino
Right, Right. Because I don't know how many people are watching this on broadcast television without any sort of pause functionality on your DVR or whether you're watching it on streaming. I bet most people could pause the show.
Kirsten McKinnis
It's. And if you had to miss a minute. Well, your life is fine, Kristen.
Rob Cisternino
They said it before, like the five minute recap of what happened in the last episode. You could have, you could have gone and come back.
Kirsten McKinnis
They should have said, if you have to go to the bathroom, go now. While we do the recap, while we're,
Rob Cisternino
while we're recapping all of this, you
Kirsten McKinnis
have plenty of time, medically good advice for the show to be giving out. So I just, I felt it was important to mention that. And then, yeah, just maybe a general reminder that just because sometimes people are bad at the game of Big Brother doesn't mean that you can't enjoy the ride.
Rob Cisternino
Yeah, I, I do want to check in with that. We have 16 players in the house. I think we did have some offers tonight, notably Mallory, not to be seen. Not live here.
Jason Reed
Now, I, I will say Taylor impressed me with the one line that you had in this episode. I, I've been kind of down on Taylor because I, I haven't seen her do anything. But then, then she's out here saying like, like, you know, Rob, your famous saying is like, for the first few weeks of Big Brother, just take a nap. And that's kind of what Taylor is doing that to Lala.
Kirsten McKinnis
Yeah.
Jason Reed
And so she's like. And the fact that Taylor actually came out and said it to, for us to know that's what she's doing, I really appreciated them showing us that for, for Taylor. For Taylor's sake.
Rob Cisternino
Yeah. Yash took a borderline ofer tonight, other than being in the room with Lala and like, he's kind of, he's, he's in the background of things
Jason Reed
very much.
Kirsten McKinnis
And I wish he was in the background of someone with hair clippers to fix that situation.
Jason Reed
Yeah. It bugs me every time.
Kirsten McKinnis
It's really, every, like, I'm like, fix it or take him out of the episode. Honestly, because it's really.
Jason Reed
Let's vote him for time capsule and just make the punishment. He has to shave his head or something. That will fix everything.
Kirsten McKinnis
Oh, my God.
Rob Cisternino
Yash is a financial guru. He saves money by cutting his own hair. Okay, that's fine.
Kirsten McKinnis
Cut every hair on the head.
Jason Reed
Get the mirror in front, the mirror in back. You can fix it. It's fine. There's a way to get all the hair.
Rob Cisternino
When he goes to a restaurant, he never gets the special. It's a scam.
Jason Reed
Never trust. Never trust. Yeah, exactly. Meal, not the specials.
Rob Cisternino
Oh, I see. In the chat, Rob should have that haircut. Okay.
Jason Reed
No, no, no. Why would you do that.
Kirsten McKinnis
Listen, I'm still trying to gain Rob's wife's respect back after getting him into Love Island. She cannot have that haircut.
Rob Cisternino
I viral fame by copying everything Yash does. I need to get his haircut next. I just need. I need to grow it out in the back first.
Kirsten McKinnis
No, Rob, do not do this. You're so much better than this.
Rob Cisternino
I have to secure the bag next.
Kirsten McKinnis
You do just fine securing the bag.
Jason Reed
You don't need that business in the front. Dumpster fire in the back.
Rob Cisternino
Yeah, okay. All right. All right. Should we talk about the. The vote? I don't. Do we. Do we need to incorporate the live feeds to talk about the vote? What do you think?
Kirsten McKinnis
I don't think so. I don't think it's been like so crazy feeds, exclusive information.
Rob Cisternino
Okay. All right. But then let's do a breakdown of the vote going into tomorrow night. So I'm going to say this is borderline live feeds. I don't know if we need to play the spoiler song, but I think that if you're. If you're very, very sensitive. We'll see you tomorrow night. Big day tomorrow. But let's talk about the. What were the voting scenarios going into tomorrow night's BB blockbuster where this hour, Rome is public enemy number one? Do I have this correct?
Kirsten McKinnis
Yeah. If. If Rome is on the block at the. After the BB blockbuster at this hour, Rome would be going home.
Rob Cisternino
Yes. Jason, how interesting is it if Rome returns to the house after winning the BB blockbuster?
Jason Reed
Let's see. I. I think it would be interesting because I think he would have it. He does have a chance at the hoh and I think that what I'm interested in is the other side of the house getting hoh. I think. I think a Rome HOH would be interesting and fun. So, yeah, I'm invested in Rome staying just because I think he is one for drama causing at certain points.
Rob Cisternino
Yeah, it. Actually, I think. Kirsten, I know that you would not love this, but I do think it would be a fun turn to see Rome a Rome HOH if he comes back in. Because I do think that, listen, the. The fun part about Rick Davins and it's been a fun season so far, but the really fun part about seeing Rick Devins on Big Brother is going to be when he gets nominated. He's on the block.
Kirsten McKinnis
I see your point, but we can get that result from Jason or Melody staying. So why. Why would it. Why would we give that to Rome?
Rob Cisternino
Yes. Well, Jason hoh. I think Would also be just as interesting. But it would be such a fun turnabout to see to go from. You won the blockbuster then won the hoh. There's a very small chance that this happens. Smaller than you would even. I can't even think of a thing that could be a smaller thing then. But that would be classic Big Brother.
Kirsten McKinnis
It would be classic Big Brother, but I just. I think there's diminishing returns on. On that with Rome. Because like, then what Roman Lyric have the HOA dream all week together? No, no, no, no, no. Know like at least that protects all the other house guests from what they've been experiencing so far. But like what about Taryn? Why can't we protect Taryn, see them in the hoh?
Rob Cisternino
That's true. That could be a lot for Taryn. Okay, so Rome, if he loses the BB blockbuster, this sets up some other scenarios. So a Jason win of the BB blockbuster saves Jason in that scenario. Rome is doomed. Doomed in the vote if Melody wins the BB blockbuster. Rome versus Jason. Rome still doomed.
Kirsten McKinnis
Yeah, I think Rome's still doomed in that situation.
Rob Cisternino
Okay, why don't we talk through the scenario though where Rome has won the blockbuster. Forget the hoh, but Jason versus Melody. I feel like that this has been a toss up at times this week.
Kirsten McKinnis
Week.
Rob Cisternino
How are we feeling like a Jason vs. Melody vote might shake out at this hour?
Kirsten McKinnis
I think that Jason would go. Obviously that's subject to change. There have been moments when people have been open to Melody going of course with the like paranoia about Drew and Drew and Melody are clearly, you know, hanging out. I could see that shifting, but I don't like as of right now, I don't feel strongly that it would shift. I think she's safe right now. But again, anything could happen. It's Wednesday night.
Rob Cisternino
Yeah, I know that there has been some conversation, but where would the. Where would the base of support to keep Jason over Melody come from? Who would be really driving that? Is that. Is that starting with Lala?
Kirsten McKinnis
Yeah, see that's a problem. There isn't really anyone willing to put their neck out that far for Jason.
Rob Cisternino
I do feel like where Melody does have some potential. I do feel like that Jason though is probably bringing more to the table.
Jason Reed
But does Melody have the end with Drew to try and like muster support that way either way? Or is it that a non starter
Kirsten McKinnis
Melody Drew are pretty close, which is honestly more to her detriment than anything because Drew is so untrusted by Angela and Dan. Drew would has definitely been putting in work for Melody. Melody's been putting in work. I. Yeah, I think the big problem is, is like, no one is willing to put in the work for Jason.
Jason Reed
Yeah, I've heard that before. We tell you.
Kirsten McKinnis
I say, is this a struggle for you, Jason, to be on a podcast about a show with someone that has your same name? Should we be calling, talking about Selena instead Red?
Rob Cisternino
Yeah. I mean, the previous Jason, I believe, had also an alter ego, which was Whistle Nut.
Kirsten McKinnis
Oh, yes, I forgot about Whistle Not. I was like, Jason Roy didn't have an alter ego.
Rob Cisternino
That was BB17. Jason Roy. Jason was with Whistle Nut. That broke Christmas's leg. And I don't know. Have we had another Jason since then?
Jason Reed
I don't think so.
Kirsten McKinnis
I don't.
Jason Reed
I don't think so. Yeah. Weirdly enough, I feel like Jason's a common name. I don't. I don't see it a lot in, like reality competition. It's interesting.
Rob Cisternino
Yeah.
Jason Reed
So.
Rob Cisternino
All right, so I do think that A. Because Jason, AKA Selena has been very good in these competitions,
Kirsten McKinnis
I. It's definitely an option.
Rob Cisternino
Yeah.
Kirsten McKinnis
For a Jason one.
Rob Cisternino
Yes.
Jason Reed
I mean, what are the noms looking like if Jason wins hoh? Is it strictly a Devins Angela D, like trio up there?
Kirsten McKinnis
D is like, is kind of in there a little bit because there's like the Barrett Jason D kind of rubble situation that has, you know, come and gone over the days. So I think there's a possibility that D would be safe there. I could absolutely see Angela Devins being up on the block.
Rob Cisternino
Yeah.
Kirsten McKinnis
Not 100% sure. On the. On the third there.
Rob Cisternino
I do think that D ended up having a. A pretty good episode because I think that they left out certain things that would not have made her look as good in this episode where she was a loud voice campaigning, a pro lyric voice and an anti melody voice.
Kirsten McKinnis
Yeah. And literally for what read like, why are we just believing Lyric. I. I do not understand. Like, this is someone that they have not spent a lot of time with in the game and they're just like, yeah, she said she wouldn't come for us, so I guess she wouldn't come for us.
Rob Cisternino
That good.
Kirsten McKinnis
Obviously she is. She's doing great.
Rob Cisternino
She has Rome and the whole house wrapped around her finger.
Jason Reed
The poverty of Big Brother, if my. Some might say.
Rob Cisternino
Yes. Her power. Yeah. It really is fascinating to think about what she might be able to do in a post Rome world. And so that's. That's really the interesting thing.
Kirsten McKinnis
I would love to see it. They did also show in this episode D Saying that that nomination ceremony was a better day than the day she literally won a million dollars.
Rob Cisternino
December 20, 2023.
Jason Reed
Day in infamy.
Kirsten McKinnis
Well, that day was also, you know, that was not always a happy day because of the Reindeer Games events of the same day.
Rob Cisternino
Was it? The Reindeer Games was the same day as the Survivor finale.
Kirsten McKinnis
I, I think that that day was the Daniel Reyes, like Britney.
Rob Cisternino
Well, the Survivor finale is three hours. I don't think that they can do. Was it the same year?
Kirsten McKinnis
Okay, let me, let me do some fact checking because I just. Someone sent that to me in my DMs and I just believe them because I'm not as suspicious as Jason is.
Rob Cisternino
Yes. Yeah, that those. It's a three hour block on a Wednesday. The Survivor finale.
Kirsten McKinnis
They do some long ass nights with these shows, Rob.
Rob Cisternino
They do, but I don't think they would stack a Survivor, Reindeer Games and a Big Brother finale or the day
Kirsten McKinnis
before and the day after, but not the day of.
Rob Cisternino
Yeah, we don't lie.
Kirsten McKinnis
I was lied to. I fell for misinformation. I'm sorry, everybody for spreading misinformation on the Internet.
Jason Reed
It's what you get for trusting.
Rob Cisternino
Yeah.
Kirsten McKinnis
Also, I'll never trust again.
Rob Cisternino
Yes. You got to be careful. Also, speaking of misinformation, Sam Moore has sent me a, a message that Mallory did have a confessional in the competition tonight. Okay.
Kirsten McKinnis
And what did she say? Samuel
Rob Cisternino
Queen did have a confessional. Okay.
Kirsten McKinnis
I, I'm really with frail Mary on this one. We gotta come up with a better nickname than Pipe Queen.
Rob Cisternino
I love that so much. That was so good.
Kirsten McKinnis
This is the problem. I ruined you with Love island where now you're like, oh, yeah, it's totally normal to just call someone Pipe Queen.
Rob Cisternino
I really didn't think much of it until Matt, until Mary brought it up.
Kirsten McKinnis
Up. Mary's my girl. She gets me.
Rob Cisternino
Yeah.
Jason Reed
I wrote a little song to remind you. Choice hotels get you more of the experiences you value. The Cambria Hotel's got it all. A rooftop bar. Have a ball.
Rob Cisternino
Cocktails up here feel just right.
Jason Reed
It's Cambria.
Kirsten McKinnis
Amazing.
Jason Reed
All right, bring a date, your team or even your mom. Book direct@ChoiceHotels.com.
Rob Cisternino
see you on the roof. Any other stories that we're watching at this hour about Big Brother 28? I feel like we're sort of a little sleepwalking into the all coming down to the BB blockbuster.
Kirsten McKinnis
I, I mean, I know we talked about Roman lyric canoodling, but I don't think we emphasized enough for the viewers, like what was going on at 7am in the morning today.
Rob Cisternino
Yeah. So just to give you my pov, I was on a rhap staff call and I had the live feeds on with no, I was in the middle of a. Of a sentence and then I'm just seeing this like spinning wheel in the green night vision. And, and, and it's getting. I'm like, hold on a second. Are the art. Are two people hooking up on the have not bed while other people are sleeping on it?
Kirsten McKinnis
It's. It's made so much better by actually our text history of the last week, Rob, which I. I will expose.
Rob Cisternino
What do you put Ashley Hollis on me?
Kirsten McKinnis
I. If you're okay with it, I would like to share our text message. So last Thursday, of course, Rob was on the live feed update. I get a text. He says, I think we might need to bring you in to confirm what's happening under the covers between Lyric and Rome. I said, oh Lord. Are they french frying?
Rob Cisternino
Yes.
Kirsten McKinnis
Rob said, we need you to tell us. I sent six crying emojis.
Rob Cisternino
One of Kirsten's gifts on the Love island podcast is that that she has to do a breakdown of what's happening in the room. Jason. That they don't have this unmarried first sight where everybody sleeps in the same room and there's night vision and like sleeping in the same bed. It's Roman Lyric.
Kirsten McKinnis
And then I'm looking. What are they doing in the. Are they cuddling? Are they canoodling? What's happening? So then today I.
Rob Cisternino
You know about the french fries, Jason?
Jason Reed
No, I don't know about the french fries.
Kirsten McKinnis
It's like a french fry is a side dish. You know, they're long and skinny. People love them. That was part of the. The Love Island. And so I then sent Rob a screenshot of. Of Rome on top of Lyric on the have not bed this morning. And I said, I think they had some french fries on the have not wheel.
Rob Cisternino
Yeah.
Jason Reed
So maybe. Maybe a french fries. A little. With two little meatballs maybe.
Rob Cisternino
No, no side.
Kirsten McKinnis
Side dish. They not in the same meal. Rob says to me, I had the feeds on with no sound just now. I had to do a double take. I said, this is absurd. It's 8am and Rob said, no hooking up for have nots should be a rule.
Rob Cisternino
I stand by that. Discuss on the pod already taking cold showers. That there should be. Please stop hooking up.
Kirsten McKinnis
This. This is where I'm like, like the showers could be colder. Like let's make it so this isn't Even possible. You know,
Jason Reed
there should be. There should be constant cold water on them as they sleep in the bed. Yeah.
Kirsten McKinnis
You know, get a spray bottle in there.
Rob Cisternino
Yeah. I thought Barrett was gonna go sleep in Soul Tide.
Kirsten McKinnis
I. But, like, how do you. Like, I guess at a certain point you're like, I'm so uncomfortable. I might as well just pretend that I'm still asleep and that I'm not seeing this, but, like, push them off the bed. Like, what are we. Throw a pillow. What are we doing here? Like, again, in Love island, you know, this is a possibility. People could be having full penetration in the bed next to you. You've, like, implicitly consented to that experience by going on Love Island. You don't expect this in the have not room.
Rob Cisternino
Yeah. Yeah.
Kirsten McKinnis
There are people less than a foot away from them on this creaky ass.
Jason Reed
This was a lot.
Kirsten McKinnis
I'm sorry. I'm gonna get banned from the podcast. I've gotta stop. I'm so sorry.
Jason Reed
I don't know how you don't just. I just roll over. Like, have some decency. Do it somewhere else. Not where I'm two feet away.
Kirsten McKinnis
Go make out in the backyard.
Jason Reed
Yeah. Somewhere else. Just.
Rob Cisternino
Yeah.
Jason Reed
I shouldn't share the same air as you.
Rob Cisternino
Right? So the fake breakup is totally off, I presume.
Kirsten McKinnis
I mean, I think that they might still be trying to pretend a little bit, but, like, it. Not that well, it's so. I'm really disturbed by what I saw.
Rob Cisternino
Chuck and Yash are like, hey, but how about lyrics?
Kirsten McKinnis
It's. And it's the way that, like, Chuck and Yash will probably be, like, nice that maybe she'll do that with us when he's gone. Shut up.
Rob Cisternino
Just wait. Just wait.
Kirsten McKinnis
They're rubbing their hands together like, no, enough is enough. They are locked in the house. The backyard's been closed. So they're all, you know, pacing around.
Rob Cisternino
Yes. What are we expecting, like, some kind of big build tomorrow for the hoa? Does that speak to anything
Kirsten McKinnis
I have to imagine? Yeah, Some. Some large build is going on, and
Rob Cisternino
it's too early for the wall.
Kirsten McKinnis
Can you imagine if it was the wall? I. I feel like we would have been told last week, like, and next week, tune in for our live HOH with the wall.
Rob Cisternino
Yep.
Kirsten McKinnis
Although. Although, I guess, like, there. There is BB unlocked this week. Right. So they might want something big that they can, like, show part of it on. BB Unlocked.
Rob Cisternino
Yeah. Kirsten, anything else that we're following at this hour in terms of what's been going on at the house? Today.
Kirsten McKinnis
Um, okay, I did. I asked people on Blue Sky. I was like, I've been busy at work. Like, is there anything that is big from the last couple of hours? And I did get some results. Adults. Let me, let me open them up. I should have had this queued up to start.
Rob Cisternino
Yeah. We were pranking Lala and hiding and. And I don't. Were they hiding her towel or.
Kirsten McKinnis
Yes. So a couple of days ago, there was a towel in the toilet stall. And Lala's cleaning as she does taking care of all these dirty ass people every single day.
Jason Reed
Sure.
Kirsten McKinnis
And she said, why is there a towel in here? That's disgusting. Because. Because it is disgusting. Why are you putting a towel behind the toilet? That's nasty. And so then they decided it was
Rob Cisternino
a prank or it was somebody's bad hygiene. It was a prank.
Kirsten McKinnis
I think it was bad hygiene. And then one got placed there as a prank after people saw how much it got under Lala's skin initially. Because these, these people are just really obsessed with doing gross stuff to get under Lala's skin. Even though like, like, I mean, I wasn't paying the closest attention in the first couple of days. But as far as I'm aware, Lala hasn't done anything to anybody except for like keep the house clean and livable.
Rob Cisternino
Yeah.
Kirsten McKinnis
So that too many people in this
Rob Cisternino
house trying to be a.
Kirsten McKinnis
They're trying it.
Rob Cisternino
Oh, also, boy.
Kirsten McKinnis
Drew asked D why did all the women forget to bring bras?
Rob Cisternino
I watched that clip today. I don't know what. What was he was to say? Is he. Is he uncomfortable that. That women. Not enough women are wearing bras for his liking?
Kirsten McKinnis
I, you know, maybe if he sees nipple he has trouble standing up. I don't know. But he anyways be my last podcast on rjp. I'm fired. But I no like, I think that it's just like he's a young guy. There is a hundred percent like a pressure that gets put on women that they have to wear bras. I think that he's like, he's just now learning that women don't wear bras when they're home all of the time.
Rob Cisternino
And he's gonna learn uniform.
Kirsten McKinnis
Exactly. It's not required.
Rob Cisternino
He was like, I watched this clue. He's talking to D and he was like covering his nipples. He's like, I think I would, I would, I would want to be protected. Did.
Kirsten McKinnis
It's like.
Jason Reed
And does he not realize he also has nipples?
Rob Cisternino
You know, I don't know. Yeah. You put a shirt On Drew.
Kirsten McKinnis
Yeah. Well, then he did ask if he could. He asked if he could wear one of these bras. So I don't know. Maybe. Maybe we'll get Jason putting the men in drag, and then Drew will get to see what it's like to wear a bra.
Rob Cisternino
Get one for Kamu. Okay. Am I right?
Kirsten McKinnis
A diaper. Because he acts like such a freaking baby.
Rob Cisternino
He kind of had it over tonight.
Kirsten McKinnis
It's so annoying, actually, that Kamu is, like, good at this game because everything else about him is so repellent. Playing a good game. Okay.
Jason Reed
Yeah.
Rob Cisternino
So it's still a slower day today.
Kirsten McKinnis
Yeah, a little bit slower day. They also, like, like, Lala took, like, the big magnifying glass from the egg, the hard boiled detective costume for her investigation, turning it into a thing.
Rob Cisternino
Yeah, she was having fun.
Kirsten McKinnis
Yeah, she's very funny.
Rob Cisternino
Okay. All right. Well, Jason, is there anything else on your mind as we head into our big day tomorrow?
Jason Reed
I think we got it all. I'm excited to see. To see the outcome. I hope it's. I'm hoping for some fireworks after. After. What happens if. If Rome wins the. The. The blockbuster. The way he was. He was hyping himself up after. At the end of this episode. I'm just. I'm really curious to see what that would be like if he. If he. If. I'm sure he won't even. He'll ignore Julie's warnings of don't tell anyone. Before you get down there. He'd just come hooting, hollering down the stuff like, you thought you would get rid of me, but I'm back in this house, and I want to make y' all pay. Like. Like, I'm excited to see if something like that's gonna happen.
Rob Cisternino
Will he do that, Jason, or will he be totally nonchalant about it? Like, it was like, it was nothing. Like when he won in on premiere night and he turned around, they didn' at the thing when he had to count for 10 seconds.
Jason Reed
Yeah, he was walking like. I mean, it was. It was light work. I. I did what I had to do.
Kirsten McKinnis
I mean, he does give, like, a hockey player vibe. So I could really see him winning the blockbuster being like, you know, did what I had to do. I got out there, capitalized my opportunities, you know.
Rob Cisternino
Yeah.
Kirsten McKinnis
Made it work.
Jason Reed
He'll probably do something obnoxious like come in and just start tonguing down lyric when he went back in the else.
Rob Cisternino
Okay. That'd be romantic. Yeah. He did have such an unusual line at the nomination ceremony when he Talked about Rick Devins. He's like that man, that guy right there. He's a good ball player. I've never heard. Speaking of balls, never heard anybody described that way before at the nomination. Pickleball maybe.
Jason Reed
Pretty envious of any with good ball skills.
Rob Cisternino
Yes. He's a leap on. Yeah. Okay. All right. If you want to get Big Brother elite ball knowledge, head on over to chat BCC BB28 chat. You don't know what's going to happen. You might get a funny joke. You might get a great take. You might get Big Brother alumni fighting and getting into a whole back and forth. It's wild. You never know what's going to happen. It's like the live feeds for the alumni. Over on Chat bcc. We've got a lot of great stuff. I told you we had a really good show coming up on Thursday night and I was not lying because coming up on Thursday night, we'll have with us Morgan. Morgan Pope joins us for Big Brother Thursday night. But what does Morgan think about everything that's going on?
Kirsten McKinnis
I can't wait to hear. She's very interesting perspective on the game. That'll be very fun.
Rob Cisternino
Yes. Who wore the egg costume? The best. We'll find it out all from Morgan on Big Brother Thursday eviction night. So be on the lookout for that. I will also have Summer of Stein coming up on Thursday. Speaking of slouchy Adam Sandler wannabe asses and find out what Eric is thinking about everything. If you have Summer of Stein stories you want us to talk about, send them in Rob's website.com Stein for that one. Also today, Taryn and I caught up with Becca Devins, first lady of the hoh. And Becca Devins was very fun to talk to. Talked about what she's seeing. She's having a great time watching Rick play Big Brother and so really fun interview catching up with Becca Devins. Then Aubrey Brocco also stopped by the podcast this week. We talked to her on Monday. She talked about what it's been like for her to watch D and Rick play in Big Brother 28. Opry's a big big Brother fan, so it's been a fun season for her as well. And then over on Patreon, we have so much great stuff for you to catch every single week, including this week. I did the BB Mailbag with Taran. We went through all of the win probabilities for all of the players still in the game. We updated our rankings and answered your mailbag questions. And then last night on the SLOP we were joined by Cat Dunn. We talked about about all of the slop going on in the Big Brother alumni world. So very fun podcast over on Patreon. And then next month, Rahabcon is coming to Milwaukee, Wisconsin. The patrons have links to get the discounted tickets August 26th to the 28th in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. Jason, what's going on at Married at First Sight? Married at First Sight.
Jason Reed
Yeah, listen, Big Brother is not the show for romance and showmance. This is the show for romance and showmans. If you have a mess and love hole in your heart from. From Love island, come on over to Married at First Sight. We're picking up the torch of messy love shows coming up. It's a new season, a new era for Married First Sight. We got new experts, new everything. It's on Peacock right now. So go ahead and hit us up. We are. We have episodes four through six coming up tomorrow. We do have the recap for you right after the episodes come out. So me and Asia Welch are there to. To fill you all in on what's going on.
Rob Cisternino
Who's that on the thumbnail?
Jason Reed
Tori and Felipe.
Rob Cisternino
Okay, that's not Daddy Nick.
Jason Reed
Not Daddy Nick. For those of you that are familiar with Kirsten's favorite reality star, they somehow got Nick from the Circle, Daddy Nick to come on Married at First Sight. He. Yes, he did come on the show and he is married. Married. Some of you will be happy to know his wife doesn't really love him. So not. Not going great. So if you want to see a little embarrassed, come on over to Mary first. Like Kirsten. I'm sure that's something.
Kirsten McKinnis
No. Why am I in it?
Jason Reed
Yeah, it's your favorite.
Kirsten McKinnis
Oh, my God.
Rob Cisternino
Okay, Kirsten, what's. Have you been following any Love island drama on social media?
Kirsten McKinnis
There has been some drama, but more so from past seasons. The current season hasn't really been too dramatic. I think people are getting their representation sorted out and maybe saving things for the reunion. But there's been some season six and seven drama in the seven week seven.
Rob Cisternino
Yes.
Kirsten McKinnis
And yeah, you can keep up with me everywhere at Kirsten said what? Including Twitch TV slash Kirsten said what were. I'm going to be starting a new Cozy game soon. I just need to figure out what time of day there's a gap in programming.
Rob Cisternino
What's a cozy game?
Kirsten McKinnis
Game. So this game is where you're a cat and you're working at the post office and you're like stamping packages and it's just like chill vibes. Like not too stressful. Just like a very enjoyable cutie experience. Yeah. So I'm excited to start playing that and then of course, mass magnets with myself and Sasha Joseph. And if you haven't already gone to we know dating shows dot com. That channel still there. Go subscribe.
Rob Cisternino
Yeah, that's where you can catch all of Married at first sight with Asia and Jason and Kirsten. Let me know when to put up the emergency bat signal for Love Love Island Slop.
Kirsten McKinnis
I will let you know. I can't wait. There surely will be something. And at least, least you know what? We'll have Rahabcon and then we'll get home and then we'll have the reunion. So at least we'll still get to talk Love island at least one more time.
Rob Cisternino
All right, be sure to check out Taran Tomorrow morning 11am for the live feed update. Getting you ready for the big eviction day. And then Summer of Stein will drop that in the afternoon. And then a big show on Thursday night where Morgan Pope joins us for for the second Big Brother eviction. Take care, everybody. Have a good one. Bye.
