Ouch. This knee is killing me. But I can't stop training. The marathon is in two weeks. Let's get on zocdoc and find a doctor to take a look at that for you. Okay, Here's a review. Dr. Craddock really takes his time. No, I don't have time. What about Dr. Charles? His patients say he can help find a quick fix and he's in network.
Taryn
Great.
Morgan Pope
Now we're talking. Ah, book it. Booked. One mile down, 19 to go. Bring it on.
Rob Cerino
You've got options. Download the zocdoc app today. Hey, everybody, what's going on? Rob Cerino back with you for eviction night number two. And we've got a lot to break down tonight here with a great panel. And first, let me bring in a guy who has been watching all this go down. What's popping, honey? Armstrong,
Taryn
Listen, listen. I'm just here with my fellow alphas. You know, we're just dogging up the crib. We're doing a great job here. Shout out to my all, all my fellow alphas. And hey, I won't leave the submissives out. Yes, you can be shouted out too.
Rob Cerino
Is that a Brandon Donlin joke? Come on. All right. Yeah. Excited to break it all down here with us tonight to drop a lot of elite ball knowledge on us tonight. It's Mari fourth Mario. How are you?
Mari
Hey, are we still shouting out celebrities?
Brandon Donlin
Yes.
Mari
Hi, Monet. Exchange shout out to Asia Welch and just put me on a schedule. I'm sorry, I was unavailable for those dates.
Rob Cerino
We have a lot of shout outs to talk about. All right. And then we have a incredible guest here with us, of course, that we watched her like a buzz saw all through Big Brother 27 and she loves talking game. Here she is, Morgan Pope. Morgan, how are you?
Morgan Pope
I'm fabulous. I'm so excited to talk with you guys. It's gonna be fun.
Rob Cerino
Yes, Morgan, I love how much you can't get enough of talking about this.
Morgan Pope
Yeah, I mean, it's big brother how can you not like? I love the game. I had so much fun last season. And I don't know, it's weird. I actually get more anxiety watching the blockbusters than I was when I was in my own blockbuster. It was very. It's very weird. But I'm very excited to talk about big brother tonight with you guys.
Rob Cerino
Okay, good. Looking forward to breaking it all down here with you live tonight after the eviction. We're getting ready because, Taryn, tomorrow morning, we're gonna chat it up with Rome.
Taryn
Yeah. And, you know, luckily, Rob, you'll have me there to. To help communicate as a fellow alpha.
Rob Cerino
Yeah.
Taryn
So you could try. We're gonna do a great job.
Rob Cerino
Yes. So be on the lookout for our exit interview coming up tomorrow with Rome and then live feed update at noon eastern as we will wait. And Karen, is there any chance that tonight could be anything like last Thursday night?
Taryn
You know what? There's a chance. Yeah. I mean, there's a lot that could happen tonight. From the dissolution of the tool shed because one of them wins power and wants to do something or the dissolution of the tool shed because one of them doesn't win power and they scatter. There's a lot that could happen tonight.
Rob Cerino
It could be a precedent. Okay, let's talk about it all tonight. And I guess we have to start with our headline, Rome is gone. Morgan, I'd love to get your thoughts here on. On Rome. Could you put it into perspective for us?
Morgan Pope
Just Rome in general? Like Rome? Yeah. You know, it's funny. I love to do player rankings, and last week I had him pretty high. Like, we were really excited about Rome. And then week two, his entire day, his entire game tanks. And for me, where I'm just kind of going to critique a little, is just the whole lying about him and lyric breaking up. It's just kind of silly to me because I don't think anybody was actually going to fall for it. But I'll give him, you know, his twos and threes for at least trying to campaign for votes. I don't know. I. To me, Rome is somebody who I think had all the connections. He had the game able to, like, get somewhere. But, like, going up to an hoh and saying, here, here's everyone I would like to save, and I think this is good for me. Just didn't really help his game. I think instead he should have just kind of picked. I mean, maybe not picked anyone. I think he should have tried to work with Devin to see who Devons would want to. What would Want to save instead and kind of work with him instead of, like, tell him what to do.
Rob Cerino
Yeah.
Morgan Pope
More.
Rob Cerino
It's interesting with Rome, we kind of. We watched his first video. He said, this guy is not going to do well, but he did not. He went undrafted in the podcaster draft, but I would say it wasn't a flame out for Rome. Like, he wasn't a disaster, right?
Mari
No, he went in there and did exactly what he said he was going to do. He was going to be the leader of the betas and submissives. And I mean, good. That's what he did. Right. He was the leader of the quote, unquote outcast. He was the leader of the side of the house that hadn't solidified against the tool shed. And, you know, he was the figurehead. He was the head of the snake. And so, I mean, he did everything he said he was going to do. He got into a nice little showmance. I would just like to point out that the. The prophecy has been fulfilled. Rome is gone. So now Roman Lyric will be like Swaggy and Bailey. I think this is the best thing that could have happened to their relationship because I. Somebody checked the statistics, but I think showmans that burn really hot really fast, and one of them goes out soon, they last longer. Look that up. Somebody look that up.
Rob Cerino
Yeah.
Taryn
Boogie and Krista. Swaggy and Bailey.
Mari
Danny and Dominic. Huh?
Rob Cerino
Yeah.
Mari
Jess and Cody, technically, for all the romantics out there. All right.
Rob Cerino
Yeah.
Mari
Yes.
Rob Cerino
Yes.
Mari
Yeah.
Rob Cerino
Taryn, how do you put this run in perspective for Rome?
Taryn
I. I think that, like, Rome was basically the best version of him that we could have gotten based on what we saw in the preseason.
Rob Cerino
Right.
Taryn
Like, everything he said was pretty much true. So, like, he at least had that going for him. And, and, and I do think he comes out of the house and he has a very, like, solid exit interview, at least on his side, and. And can really kind of go out with his head held high now. You know, is he going to be the person who is, like, writing Lyric's letter when she wins HOH and like, on social media, like, retweeting every single clip of Lyric, talking about him, go
Rob Cerino
visit her parents,
Taryn
propose on finale, like, all that stuff. Who knows, right? But, but yeah, I mean, I do. I. I agree with Morgan and I, I agree with this. This whole sentiment. Like, I think at the end of the day, you know, his overall presence in the house, he was doing well.
Morgan Pope
He.
Taryn
He just didn't quite know how to, like, dim that light. And, and going up to Devin's and offering himself up on a platter in the way that he did was like going to, like, Sweeney Todd's barber shop. You know what I mean? Like. Like, what are you doing here? Like, you're really just leaving yourself wide open.
Mari
When it reopened. When it. When it reopened.
Taryn
Right.
Rob Cerino
Yeah. It seemed like the episode made it seem like that there was a viable path for Rome to stay. Taryn, was that at all possible, or was this maybe earlier in the week?
Taryn
No, there was never a time when. When Rome had any shot. There was a little bit of talk of maybe Jason could stay over Melody, but even that had fallen pretty flat. This was not. This was one of the least dynamic blockbuster weeks we've seen in a while, I would say.
Rob Cerino
Yeah. Because most of the episode was about not even talking about, which I thought was the more interesting close vote of Jason versus Melody. All we saw was people in the house saying that we. We want Rome to stay.
Taryn
Yeah. I mean, yeah, go ahead.
Mari
Yeah, sorry. The. The episode really did revolve around will Rome. When the blockbuster will Rome stay? It was like they really wanted you to have a interest in the outcome of the blockbuster. Now, for us who have been watching the feeds, we already knew, like, it was do or die for Rome. So I don't needed to manufacture the tension as much as they. They did. But other than that, I mean, they. Yeah, I don't think they could have really cobbled together maybe Melody versus Jason type of thing, because I don't know if anybody was as convict, like, had a conviction for it enough to voice it, if that makes sense. Like, like Taryn said, it was. It was a done deal. It was Rome. And if not Rome, we'll settle for Jason Morgan.
Rob Cerino
I saw you clocked earlier today that this is a blockbuster that was done in your season. That Keanu one week five. Yes. I feel like you would ace this.
Morgan Pope
Oh, that was. Listen, as a Virgo who loves to sort and color code, I mean, you guys saw with my Eminem's, like, that's like my dream blockbuster. I was actually offended that I didn't have that. My. My blockbuster run. I loved it. I mean, Jason absolutely destroyed that competition. It was so great. And honestly, I actually had my money on Jason winning because he's just shown to be somebody that shows up to be a competition threat. He knows the game. Like, which is why I was like, oh, I really wanted him to, like, tone back the messiness. Like, I'm totally here for it, but, like, you don't need to go around telling People the messy things you're doing, because then it's going to circle back to you. So I am looking forward to seeing, like, how he kind of recovers from winning because maybe people look at him as, like, oh, you know, he's going to be a shield. He could protect me. Maybe we'll see an alliance form with him in it with more people. I'm curious, but I was proud of him.
Rob Cerino
Yeah. Morgan, based off of just how good Jason is in these competitions, was. Is it a mistake to leave him in the house?
Morgan Pope
Honestly, no. I think Rome had more area to. Was not.
Rob Cerino
He was not on the. He was not on the block.
Morgan Pope
But you're saying if he was.
Rob Cerino
Yeah.
Morgan Pope
Like, you're talking about, like, if it was like, the Jason verse, Melody, I mean, that was. I didn't want to see that vote, but I also was curious to see what if that would have happened because I feel like a lot of people find Jason staying as a shield alongside Rome. Now it's gonna be a little different because obviously, I mean, it may not be that different because a lot of people don't trust Melody. A lot of people want to cut off Melody because of Drew. There's, like, so many factors to the players, and so I think Jason staying, he could end up having a Rome story where people just want to get him out, but he could almost be a shield. I don't know. I'm really curious to see.
Rob Cerino
Yeah, I really felt like that Rome was. They thought Rome is the person that Jason actually is.
Taryn
I think they are recognizing that Jason is a big competition threat. They saw how close he was to winning the veto competition. They kind of anticipated that he would win this, the blockbuster. And I think the idea was that Jason's game has been so blown up that it was exposed to everyone how, like, needlessly dishonest he was with Angela, that it's going to be tough to trust him, whereas Rome is still so easily trusted. Like, he could kind of come back from this is the idea. I do agree. I think that Jason is probably more dangerous just as a competition threat, because I don't care what your social standing is. If you can win hoh blockbuster hoh like, you're gonna get some influence just by the sake of having power. And it seems like that might be where Jason is heading. He is doing really well at basically every competition he's competed in so far. And I kind of love that because I kind of love that our potential comp beast of the season is also perhaps the messiest player of the season. I think that's a great combo.
Mari
Yeah.
Rob Cerino
Mari, I know you have the most backstory on Jason. Is this a part of his lore?
Mari
Yes. Like, I think Taryn and Aman did a great job explaining, like, the lore of Jason, AKA Selena Estates on the draft podcast. But I'm glad that we are seeing a different side from him. I think, honestly, him being called out was probably the best thing to happen for his game. And then now the blockbuster, because now he knows how messy he was moving, and now he will think twice about moving as messy. That, paired with hopefully some comp wins and some comp runs could really solidify his positioning in the game. And Jason has been a big fan of Big Brother for the longest time. And so to see him be able to get his chance to be on the show that he loves and do the things that he's doing, I want him to stay as long as possible. And I love that his. His shout outs are just like the random. He spoiled Drag Race All Stars last week, and then this week he's. He's begging for a job from Ryan Murphy, which, yes, put him on all of the things Ryan Murphy, but he is adding such a fun, entertaining level to this season that I really hope he stays around. I. I yelled so hard when he won this blockbuster in my house. Everybody looked at me like I was crazy. I was just so excited. So, I mean, if it's just so good to see fans go in there and. And be able to do with what they're doing and he's one of this.
Brandon Donlin
He.
Mari
He played Drag Race like Big Brother, like Taryn said. And the fact that he's getting in there and he like getting his hands dirty and he's not afraid to talk to people, manipulate people, see the layout of the house and try and make big moves. Like, I. I can't wait to see more.
Rob Cerino
I'd love to get into what I thought ended up being the most interesting part of the episode was that we finally got Taran, as you've been alluding to, that the D and Angela are turning on Drew segment, and we finally got to see them feeling like they. They can't trust him. How do you think that this is going to change the narrative?
Taryn
Well, I. I think the first thing to say is that I fully understand and I actually might agree with the way they portrayed this. I think that, like, they tried to. To keep this as. As sort of balanced as possible, where it makes it seem like Angela and D have a point while still not dunking on Drew and Barrett the reality is the sort of blurred line here. When Drew and Barrett are talking about not being into the tool shed, that's because the tool shed to them is supposed to be a fake alliance. The alliance they are actually very loyal to still, at least at this point in time, is the crossovers. And that means they are loyal to Dee and Angela. And a lot of this, like, not trusting Drew and Barrett from D and Angela is coming from a place where they're actively reading situations incorrectly. And so there's a world where you could put that in the edit and make them look like fools. But I think, correctly, Angela's a fan favorite right now. D is probably another big one. Like, they're not gonna dunk on their stars for no reason. So I actually think this is a very fair way to sort of maintain a balance. But for the record, D or sorry, Drew and Barrett are still loyal to the crossovers at this point, which matters in terms of accuracy and where we are in the game, because they do not know and have no intention. They do not know that they're not being trusted, and they have no intention of actually betraying the crossovers themselves. Now, where this could impact the game moving forward is that Angela's talked about, like, nominating Drew as early as this week as a pawn. As a pawn. But, like, they're also, like, de's talking with Devin's about damage control for when, not if, Drew and Barrett blow up the crossovers and the red corner and all of that, which they have, again, no intention of doing at this point, but they think that they do. And so there's quite a big storm coming for all of these people, and who wins HOH is really going to matter where that storm hits.
Rob Cerino
Yeah, Morgan, I saw you had a big reaction to that.
Taryn
Yeah.
Morgan Pope
I mean, Taryn hit it spot on. It's so interesting because, like, when you're in the house, the hardest thing to navigate is trust. Is the person who's telling me what they're telling me being truthful. And it's so interesting to see somebody like Drew who, like, you know when the crossovers are meeting, and he's like, guys, I'm like, this is so amazing. Like, you can tell he's so excited to be working with people that he probably watched on TV and wanted to play with or whatever, and they're just like, nah, something's with this guy. Like, I don't trust him. And, like, granted, he is moving around and he is playing the game, but it's also like, hello, Are you guys forgetting the most of the information you guys have is because of Drew, is because of Barrett. So it's like, taking the shot this coming week would be blasphemous. It could easily end a lot of their games or prevent them from even winning the game. Sure, they could probably make it to Jury, but, like, it's. It's something that I wish I could scream to them is, like, nurture those relationships because they also have so much information that they could just blow it up to. Like, you want to get another round of Devin's hoh? Piss off Drew. And maybe he decides to blow it up too. Like, which I would be sad for. For real. But, like, I don't know. I think in general, you know, Angela does get a little paranoid. You know, we do see that quite a bit. We Just a little. Just a little. And so I feel like that is obviously bleeding into D. I also feel like. And, Rob, you probably have a much better thought to what I'm about to say. Like, D played Survivor, It's a much shorter game, so I feel like maybe she's getting bored. Maybe she just is, like, preparing for so much stuff that could be coming when it's like, girl, you got a long time in there, girl, like, slow it down. Take a bit, like, nurture your relationships. And then, like, slowly plant seeds, but don't water them. I feel like planting them is fine, but watering them is where you go.
Rob Cerino
I don't think it's so much that they're getting bored. I think that. Or maybe I guess this is the same thing. I feel like that. That there's, like, an impatience of like. Like Survivor. It, like, boom, boom, boom, boom, boom. Okay, we got to get ready for the next thing. And so, you know, she wants to, like, go on to, you know, like, a week at a time is a long time. So I guess that in a way, that is boredom.
Morgan Pope
Yeah. Just like, she's just, like, ready to fight for, like, she's ready to go, which I love. I love the tenacity. I love that. But it's also just, like, direct that towards people who aren't working with you. Like, do that over there, you know, so just random thoughts, you know, I
Rob Cerino
thought that some of the diary rooms from Barrett in the episode were interesting. Tyron, we haven't really known where his head has been at as much this week in terms of him having a quieter week, but he really told us in the diary room how he's very, like. He talked about how in the original crossovers that they brought him in Last. And then he also was very keenly aware that they brought him into the new. The tool shed, and he was the eighth person in that room.
Taryn
Yeah, I did find this interesting, and this is maybe where there is a bit more gray area. Obviously, to this point, most of the suspicion has been entirely on Drew, who has been, like, very adamant about how much he loves Angela, how into the crossovers he is. There hasn't been much suspicion on. On Barrett, and so there hasn't been a lot of, like, investigation into how Barrett actually feels. Most of the conversation around Barrett, at least from my end, has been about how disengaged he's felt this week. And I thought part of that was coming from being a. Have not. Maybe a little bit of social battery being drained. Perhaps some of it's coming from an actual dissatisfaction of where he stands in this group, and perhaps there is something to be worried about when it comes to Barrett and the crossovers. Now, he has not talked as much as Drew about how loyal he is to them, but he still hasn't indicated in any significant way that he would plan to go against them. I think the main thing here for Drew and Barrett is that they don't love the. The. The overall tool shed grouping because they don't love the red corner's inclusion. And I think they would love for a couple of those red corner members to be seen sniped out to continue to work with the crossovers. And that's, I think, fair game. Right. Like, that's what every big alliance has to do, is eventually snipe out their teammates. Teammates. But. But I. I do wonder how much he wants to get out of this situation, how badly he wants to get out of it, what he's willing to do to get out of it. The thing is, unlike Drew, he doesn't have as many options. His relationships with the rest of the house have not been great. He does have one with Mallory, but she doesn't trust him a ton. She's kind of back and forth because he lied about being up in that room initially, and he hasn't been very active about developing those relationships over the last week. So an interesting person to watch out for. And his connection to Drew is probably the most dangerous thing about him at this point.
Rob Cerino
Yeah. And for the vets, the icons, it's been an interesting first two weeks because during these hoh, you know, they had the two alliances, they. They had the crossovers, they had the red corner, and it was like, hey, crossovers. Oh, you're the real alliance. Oh, my God. Red corner is so annoying. They didn't really even want to talk to them. And this week, it's, like, flipped, where it seems like that they enjoy the company of the red corner more. And it's the crossover part of the alliance that's annoying. That's the fake alliance.
Taryn
100%.
Mari
Yeah.
Taryn
Yeah.
Mari
And that. And. And that's the scary thing for Drew and Barrett, and I think the only way that they can sort of, like, maneuver their positioning within either both the alliances, like crossover and a tool shed is there needs to be a power shift. Now, I don't know if Drew and Barrett should be the ones to do that power shift. I think if they have a chance to kind of throw an hoh to a melody, a mallory, a lyric, a lala. Like, honestly, I think they should take it because they're. That one of those people can take out the right corner. And. And maybe. I mean, even if an icon goes on the block, they would still be able to keep an icon versus, like, a red corner member. So if I was your Barrett, I would kind of hope for a power shift this week because, say, like, Dee wins it again or something like that, then they're just gonna have. They're just gonna get more and more entrenched into that big alliance, and it's just not good for them right now.
Rob Cerino
When you're seven eleven's hottest fire chicken sandwich. People think you're intense.
Mari
Well, yeah, I'm hot, so, yeah, intense.
Rob Cerino
Wanna see if you can handle the heat? Then try me with pickles or spicy mayo and jalapenos. Oh, and it's all just $4.99.
Brandon Donlin
That's a deal.
Rob Cerino
Almost as hot as I am. Almost sweet. No Spicy. See for yourself. 4.99 and only at 7 11.
Taryn
Valid through 8.
Rob Cerino
25, 46 participating stores only. While supplies last is store for full terms. So we saw Drew and Barrett make their final two in the episode, and they both are sort of, like, clocking each other and clocking what they're doing. Mari, do you think that Barrett knows when he calls Drew the doctor will, he's actually your doctor Drew. Does he. Does he know that doct Drew is a real person?
Mari
I don't think so.
Rob Cerino
I think he did.
Morgan Pope
Drew.
Rob Cerino
Drew doesn't know.
Mari
Yeah. Yes, there it is. Drew doesn't know, but Barrett, I think, is old enough to know because it's
Rob Cerino
not that cool of a nickname if you know who the guy is.
Taryn
I. I think. I think it was just a spur of the m. Like, you're Dr. Will. Doctor. Doctor. Dr. Drew. Haha. Funny. Yeah.
Rob Cerino
I saw Mike Bloom had tweeted out that I had forgotten that Dr. Drew Pinsky was a part of Big Brother season one.
Morgan Pope
Wait.
Taryn
Yes. There was a Dr. Drew who. Who regularly gave, like, a psychologist's perspective on the. The house. Big Brother 1. He was dropped for Big Brother 2.
Rob Cerino
Yeah.
Morgan Pope
Interesting time for Big Brother.
Rob Cerino
Yeah.
Morgan Pope
Very different game. Different game.
Rob Cerino
Morgan, what do you think about where Drew and Barrett sit in all of this?
Morgan Pope
I do agree. I think they're kind of in some hot water, but they do. I think Drew just. I mean, Taryn hit on the head. Like, Drew has a lot more parachutes, likes to call them than Barrett does. I do want to see Drew kind of build that final two with Kamu. I think that's the most interesting, and I feel like he needs to obviously just kind of continue to grow with, like, Barrett and other people in the house. But yeah, I think Drew and Barrett are going to be in trouble if we do see another, you know, D or even Angela. Like, Angela wants to, like, prove a point to Drew, and I'm just like, girl, like, if she wants to prove a point to Drew, she's going to blow up the entire alliance on her own doing that. But like, when we were talking earlier, like, the red corner is getting closer to, like, Angela and D. And I honestly think it's because we have people like Haley, who is kind of like a game bot. Like, when you watch her on the feeds, like, she's gaming hard and like, Kamu's in it too. And I feel like that's what they were missing from Drew and Barrett is like, they weren't really, like, gaming hard with them where, like, Haley's in it, Kamu's in it. So it's like at that point, you know, even though it is week three, it's still early. When you aren't doing something that other people are doing for you, you start to get lower on the list and you're becoming someone that's easier to take out. Like, I'm sure they might even get to a point where maybe they want other people to take out Drew and Barrett for them. I mean, Drew's in hot water, but I think I have faith in him. I have faith in my fellow young game bot.
Taryn
Yeah.
Rob Cerino
Taryn, you were talking this week about could there be enough in the edit potentially for somebody else to end up getting BB time machine powers? Do you think that there was enough this week for Drew to be seen as somebody who could be that young fan favorite?
Taryn
I Do not. I think we got some Drew. There's certainly, like, they're certainly interested in Drew as a protagonist, especially with, like, a potential budding showmance with Melody. He's got that young doctor Will aura. They would love for him to become a big character, but I don't think they've built him up enough yet to. To overcome, like, a Devins or D vote at this point.
Rob Cerino
Yeah, I think that the BB vote did come right after the Drew segment in the episode, but probably not enough to overcome either Drew or after Devins or. Or D. Too many D names.
Taryn
Not to mention Angela's campaign shout out.
Morgan Pope
Yeah, literally.
Rob Cerino
All right, so we'll find out tomorrow. And then in the Sunday night episode of what Happens There. Rome is gone and Lyric remains. And I think that this is going to be fascinating to watch how Lyric moves. Morgan, can you talk a little bit about what you think the prospects are for Morgan, for Lyric moving forward?
Morgan Pope
Yeah, honestly, I'm excited to see a roamless Lyric. As I've been saying to myself, like, you know, I'm not gonna lie to you. To keep it straight. Week one, she was kind of, like, rubbing me the wrong way talking. She's ready to leave, and she's happy to go home, and she wants Rome to stay. I'm like, girl, get in the game. Like, you're here for 750k. He'll be there at the very end, I promise you. And so I'm excited to see her without Rome. I think we kind of got to see more of her, like, when Rome wasn't around, like, when she was making these deals and planning little seeds. Like, she's doing all the right things. I think now, moving into this next week, I think she has a lot of, like, things to work with. She voted against him. That's a great thing to say. Look, I am playing a game for myself. I'm valuable. I'm here to, like, play along and work with you guys. I think she has a lot of, you know, space to work with, and I think we're gonna start to see Lyric develop as a player, and I think that's what a lot of people have been, like, waiting for. You know, I think we're ready for the French fries in the have not room to be done. You guys know what I'm talking. It's a Love island reference. Is that allowed?
Rob Cerino
Yeah.
Morgan Pope
Anyway, moving on. I'm excited to see a Rome with Lyric. That's it. Okay.
Mari
Yeah.
Rob Cerino
Mari, where are you on Lyric moving forward?
Mari
Oh, I'm excited to See her play. Like, her head can now be fully in the game. She can now. Because I. Right after. I want to say it was right after she got put up and the whole house had the big blow up. When Lyric was talking to Mallory in the gym. They're in the gym, on the feet. Like, Mallory was really, like, Mallory, look at me. Lyric was really like, you know, I can't change. There's some stuff that I can't change, but I'm gonna focus. I'm gonna get this veto. And, you know, she was really strategizing. So I think when she's actually focused on the game, she has a pretty good. Yeah, like, head on her shoulders. So I'm. I'm interested to. To actually see what she plays. Like now, people calling her, like, Lyric, Irwin. Like, y' all chill. Because I don't know if y', all, like, Allison is just a mastermind. So, like, like, let's chill for a second. Let's let her prove herself, you know? But that comparison, you don't want to set her up for failure. You don't want to set her up for failure with that comparison. But she's doing. I think she's gonna do good.
Taryn
Yeah.
Mari
I think she's gonna go very far without that. That target on her back.
Rob Cerino
Tarant. Lyric on the rise.
Taryn
I. I hope so. I think she showed some real promise this week in the way that she managed to convince Devins and D and all of these people to take her off the block. The way that she managed to completely trick Chuck into, like, really feeling like he was doing something there. She's got Yash believing that, like, she to this day, still has people like Yash, Chuck, Devins, D all believing that they've kind of got her, and they don't. They really don't.
Rob Cerino
Yeah.
Taryn
And they all think she's completely incapable of doing exactly what she's doing. And so I'm very interested to see where she moves from here.
Rob Cerino
Who is her true alliance now? Is it Melody and Mallory?
Taryn
I would say it's Melody, Malady Mallory, much more than Melody.
Mari
Yeah.
Taryn
Yeah. I think she's with Malady Mallory. She's with. She's, as Morgan just said, with Jason. She did work with him on the vote here, and that's probably the main. The main crew for her. Melody sort of on the side. I think she'll connect more with Drew again now that she's not, you know, having to be on the other side of a campaign from him. So. And then, you know, she'll maintain those connections. That she has. I'm. I'm curious to see where she goes from here.
Rob Cerino
And she's nobody's target moving forward. And she ends up casting a vote for Rome. But interestingly, that the one vote, the first vote we got to vote to evict Melody was from Taylor. And I'm curious if any of you all know, have any insight into this. Was this a hinky vote? Was this that Taylor was still mixed up on what everybody else was doing with the vote? Do we know?
Morgan Pope
I. I don't know. I think she was sitting on business. I don't think she. I think she really liked Rome. I think she's the kind of player that's like, I'm going to do what I want to do. I don't care what anyone else is doing. And I think she connected much more with Rome because you would hear her tell, like, Lala and, you know, Jason, like, we, we need Rome in here. We need Rome. So I think she was hoping that people. I mean, maybe I don't even think she was helping. I think she just wanted to go in there and be like, yeah, bye, Melody, you can go. You know what I mean?
Rob Cerino
Yeah.
Morgan Pope
She also looked great in yellow, by the way.
Rob Cerino
Yes.
Morgan Pope
Gotta say that.
Rob Cerino
Did she have beef with Melody or was just only a pro Rome vote?
Morgan Pope
I think it was a pro Rome, in my opinion. I think it was program. I don't think she's like anti Melody by any means, but, like, Rome was good for her game. So I think she was hoping that in case people decided to vote. But I mean, I don't know because everyone was kind of set on Rome going.
Taryn
So, yeah, Taylor was getting a little more active yesterday trying to pitch for Jason to stay over Melody, again, not anti Melody, but. But certainly pro Jason and Rome if possible. But Rome didn't seem possible and I think she knew that.
Rob Cerino
Yeah. Is there any chance that there is a hinky vote at play here?
Mari
I would be kind of surprised at that. I mean, you blame it on Lyric, like, you know what I'm saying? Like, you blame it on Jason. Does anybody care? Will Melody care? I guess it'll. It'll be. Will Melody care? If Melody goes around the house asking, you know, trying to figure out who voted for her and it turned into a thing, then maybe it'll be a thing. But I, I would always say don't, don't do that. Don't, like, don't make something bigger than it is. But she might.
Taryn
I mean, I actually think that, that it'll matter. More for, like, Dee and Angela and Devins, who may be inclined to blame Drew or Barrett if Taylor does not own up to the vote. This was a topic of discussion specifically for them. This was a test for Drew and Barrett to hope that they would not cast rogue votes like this. So if. If Taylor does not admit to it, there's a high chance that. That they will be blamed in some capacity from them.
Rob Cerino
Is it possible, though, that Lyric ends up getting this blowback? I don't know why she would lie about it if she says that she didn't do it. But would they still accuse Lyric? It seems like that the most obvious person to have cast the votes for Rome to stay.
Taryn
Yeah, we. We saw her in the episode already denying it, Angela already saying she believes her. I don't think there's any serious reason to suspect that Lyric is. Is, like, lying, because why would she bother it? You usually don't suspect that person, and. And there's not a lot of reason to. To blame her either. It's more useful to blame somebody else. And on top of all of that, again, none of them thinks she's capable of moves like that. So I really think Lyric will get away fine.
Rob Cerino
Yeah.
Morgan Pope
Yeah, I was gonna say that, too, because then when she was talking to Devin, saying Devin's like. When she left, he literally was like, I really trust Lyric. Like, there's something about her that's very trustworthy. So I honestly feel like they're like, okay, she's telling the truth. I don't think that they would suspect that it's her.
Brandon Donlin
Okay.
Mari
Yeah, the baby voice is working.
Rob Cerino
It's work. It's working. I really think that Lyric has a lot of upside in the game. I really. I think that she has a. A chance to be a like. And maybe I'm biased because I have her in the draft, but I. I really think that she. She. I think she has superstar potential. I'm very bullish on Lyric.
Morgan Pope
I. I think she has potential. I think especially without Rome, that that's what I'm excited about. Like, Rome gone. I think Mari said it perfectly. She is going to probably put her head more into the game and actually focus. She might, you know, play the field and do her thing, because she's been great at that this past week.
Mari
So.
Morgan Pope
Yeah, we'll see.
Rob Cerino
Yeah. All right. I want to talk about some of the votes and everything from. We had our ev. Know in these lopsided votes, we have to look for something, and we've talked about it a little bit, but we got Some interesting votes here tonight. Jason ended up voting, as Mari mentioned, and he had this for my game.
Morgan Pope
I sadly booked to evict Chrome.
Taryn
Thank you. Thank you, Julie.
Rob Cerino
Ryan Murphy cast me.
Morgan Pope
I'm sorry I wasn't available for those dates.
Rob Cerino
And Mari, this is on the heels of last. Last week when Rick Davins was shouting out James Gun.
Mari
Yeah. It's like, I mean, if you're gonna do shout out to the Big Brother house, use it to advance your acting career. I mean, the code has been broken.
Rob Cerino
Yeah, yeah. All right. So then we went to Yash and it was his turn to shout out a celebrity.
Taryn
Hello, Yash.
Rob Cerino
Hey, Julie.
Taryn
Please cast your vote to evict.
Rob Cerino
I very sadly vote to evict Rome.
Morgan Pope
Thank you.
Taryn
Shout out.
Rob Cerino
Mom, dad and DJ Khaled. We the best.
Morgan Pope
Big DJ Khaled fan, apparently.
Rob Cerino
Yeah, the best. The DJ Khaled. That. That's who he's Yasha shouting out hello.
Taryn
As opposed to which one?
Rob Cerino
Yeah, I don't know. I haven't heard a lot about DJ Khaled lately.
Taryn
This is a guy who is, like, talking about bitcoin, like, you know, like, I feel like he's a little behind the times.
Rob Cerino
Yeah. Morgan, did you shout out any celebrities?
Morgan Pope
No, I just remember the one thing that I remember that was the very first time I won something. I said, mom, Dad, I finally won something. Like, I was like, the only thing I can remember. Like, you honestly kind of black out in there because you're literally just looking at a camera. You don't see Julie.
Rob Cerino
Yeah. Vote and go after you won something, though, all. All you did was win, win, win.
Morgan Pope
Yeah, you falling face first off of a wall that you were talking about for 17 years. You know, it's fine. I'll take it.
Rob Cerino
Yeah.
Brandon Donlin
Okay.
Rob Cerino
But then the biggest celebrity of the night ended up getting a shout out when D went into the doctor.
Morgan Pope
I vote to evict Rome.
Taryn
Thank you.
Morgan Pope
Thank Julie. Shout out Brandon Dol 0 for me.
Mari
Love you.
Rob Cerino
Wow. A shout out to Brandon Donlin. And we can't do anything about DJ Colleague or Ryan Murphy, but we do have Brandon Donlin standing by.
Taryn
And listen, we have great celebrity outreach.
Rob Cerino
Yes. Brandon Coke Zero.
Morgan Pope
The Coke Zero. That's iconic.
Rob Cerino
Yes.
Brandon Donlin
Can I say something?
Rob Cerino
Yes.
Brandon Donlin
Nobody gassed up mediocrity more tonight than D Validaris. And for that, my cheers to you.
Rob Cerino
Yes, indeed. Couldn't vote last week, so this was the first opportunity he had to shout out.
Taryn
And she went to you first and only shout out.
Brandon Donlin
I don't know why I'm Thrilled about it. I'm 0 for 2 right now when the Ryan Murphy and DJ Khaled DMs. But it's early. I only DM'd about a half hour ago.
Rob Cerino
The group chat is. Is wild. Yeah.
Taryn
Is she trying to get an invite to like a Brandon Donlin produced television show?
Rob Cerino
Are you.
Taryn
Do you have something to announce?
Brandon Donlin
Every.
Rob Cerino
Everything that de's ever been invited to,
Brandon Donlin
I've also gotten to go to. So it's not really the other way around. There's not a lot of things that I'm. Unless it's this. There's not a lot of things that I get the invite to that Dee does not. But. What a night.
Rob Cerino
What.
Mari
What an amazing.
Rob Cerino
Yes. Brandon, you also were recently retweeted by the Big Brother Twitter account when you had posted that you were the person who told D to talk to the cameras.
Brandon Donlin
You know what I will say and not to be a mosh. I. And I love that Survivor hat. Morgan, you got to watch the Survivor. It went so horrible for your boy. But I famously, a couple years before that I almost did Big Brother and it didn't work out. And I go back and forth in my head of like what that would have been like. But like, I can't believe that I get to be like, this is so crazy. Like, it's like I have no complaints about anything. It's like everything. It is so cool to be able to live this exact life. I wouldn't change anything. So I'm thrilled. I got nothing to say I'm thrilled.
Rob Cerino
Do you think a Coke Zero endorsement could be in the works?
Morgan Pope
I've been trying.
Mari
They don't want me.
Rob Cerino
They might want D. I. I know who's running these. Well, now you have something for your.
Taryn
Your, your real.
Brandon Donlin
Listen, I. I'm gonna pose with it like this just in case they're watching. I didn't think of that beforehand. I've sent them many dms. I wanted to have a Coke Zero themed birthday party a couple years ago. No answer from the corporate account. These got a lot more followers than
Morgan Pope
I do, so could happen.
Mari
Brandon, check. Check your Google alerts. Something tells me that the name Brandon Donlin being Googled, it probably peaked. I. I could see those Facebook
Rob Cerino
Google trends.
Taryn
It's so funny. Yeah.
Brandon Donlin
You know what?
Rob Cerino
Not for anything, shout out Brandon is good, but shout out the whole government
Brandon Donlin
name is, I think a little bit.
Rob Cerino
I do like that. Yeah.
Brandon Donlin
It's the best I've ever looked on tv and I'm thrilled.
Rob Cerino
Everybody I was watching with my Family. And my son Dominic said, not the Brandon Donlin shout out. What did I do?
Brandon Donlin
Listen.
Mari
It's so funny.
Brandon Donlin
Yes.
Mari
Yeah.
Brandon Donlin
I. I literally. I couldn't have more fun. This is so crazy. It's so. It's so unbelievable.
Rob Cerino
Anything else about tonight's episode that you want to mention?
Brandon Donlin
I'm all in on Lyric. I want Lyric. I want Lyric to catapult on the. On the season. I think this is the best thing for her game. I'm so excited to. To see what she does. I'm hoping for a lyric. Hoh.
Rob Cerino
Okay.
Taryn
Hold on. Genuinely.
Rob Cerino
Oh, wait. We could have cropped it at the.
Brandon Donlin
The spike. No.
Taryn
Yeah.
Brandon Donlin
We had to show it a plateau for the year.
Mari
Yes.
Rob Cerino
Wow. How many. How many mentions tonight is that. How many searches is that, Taran? One hundred.
Taryn
A hundred.
Rob Cerino
Wow. A few more.
Brandon Donlin
I gotta go buy bitcoin.
Rob Cerino
I gotta go look at what Yash
Brandon Donlin
was buying before he left. Yeah, I'm feeling lucky.
Rob Cerino
Secure the bag.
Taryn
Okay.
Rob Cerino
All right.
Brandon Donlin
I love you.
Rob Cerino
Thanks, Brandon. Okay. All right, Bye.
Morgan Pope
All right.
Rob Cerino
What a fun night.
Mari
Amazing.
Rob Cerino
So those were the shout outs. But then we had one other unusual shout out in the diary room when Drew ended up entering and said this.
Taryn
What's poppin honeymoon biz? Oh, my goodness.
Morgan Pope
Behave now.
Rob Cerino
Behave.
Morgan Pope
It's too good.
Taryn
I love it.
Rob Cerino
What's happening? Honeymoon vests.
Mari
What?
Morgan Pope
Listen, he's been dying to get on the show. Just like he had the. The tool shed in his back pocket. I'm sure he's been dying to tell Julie that.
Rob Cerino
Yeah, she. I don't think she liked it because when Kamu went to go vote, he called her like, hello. Like, he's like, Good evening, Mrs. Chen Moonvest. She's like, oh, somebody with respect. I like that.
Mari
Yeah.
Morgan Pope
I mean like, Drew is also like, what, 20, 21, 22. You know, I feel like she just was not expecting that.
Rob Cerino
What's poppin Honeymoon?
Mari
She prefers Auntie Julie, I think.
Rob Cerino
Please, Auntie Julie. Or a sister from another mister. She really. She really does seem to like that.
Mari
That.
Morgan Pope
Yeah, I would agree.
Rob Cerino
Yeah. Morgan, what did you call Julie in the diary room?
Morgan Pope
I just said, hi, Miss Julie.
Rob Cerino
Yeah.
Morgan Pope
Yeah. Just hi, Miss Julie.
Rob Cerino
That's it.
Morgan Pope
Or hi, Julie. It was just like one of the things. Just always, always Julie. Even though I wish we could see her in there.
Rob Cerino
But yeah, Tara, I feel like this was the first time that. I feel like that a contestant pushed it too far beyond what Julie is comfortable with.
Taryn
This is the first time.
Mari
I. I don't know.
Rob Cerino
I can't think of another person where she's like, no, I don't think so.
Taryn
Like actively shot people down before. I'm pretty sure I'm trying to remember who.
Rob Cerino
Yeah, maybe. Maybe I just feel like that this is like. Because I feel like that she's usually a yes and. But this one I really felt she's like, no, I don't like it.
Brandon Donlin
I don't like it.
Rob Cerino
Angela's right about you.
Morgan Pope
Hey.
Mari
The hey Julie girl days, you know, I think that's where. Where it started.
Rob Cerino
Yeah. Okay. Choice hotels get you more of what you value.
Mari
Comfort Inn. It's calling your name. Save on the stain.
Rob Cerino
Oh, and free waffles are yours to claim. Book direct@ChoiceHotels.com hey, it's Ryan Reynolds here for Mint Mobile.
Taryn
Now I was looking for fun ways to tell you that Mint's offer of unlimited Premium Wireless for $15 a month is back.
Rob Cerino
So I thought it would be fun if we made $15 bills, but it turns out that's very illegal. So there goes my big idea for the commercial. Give it a try@mintmobile.com switch upfront payment
Morgan Pope
of $45 for three months, $90 for six months or $180 for a 12 month plan required $15 per month equivalent to taxes and fees. Extra initial plan term only greater than 50 gigabytes. Me slow when network is busy. See terms.
Rob Cerino
Evening. Buyer's remorse.
Mari
Buy a new car. I'll be moving in.
Rob Cerino
Let's get started.
Morgan Pope
Sorry, I think there's been a mistake. I bought it from Carvana.
Taryn
You what?
Morgan Pope
Yeah, great price. I even have seven days to love it or return it.
Mari
So there's no.
Morgan Pope
No, no buyer's remorse. More like buyers rejoice.
Rob Cerino
I guess I'll let myself out. Congratulations.
Mari
I mean it.
Morgan Pope
Buyers rejoice. Buy your car today on Carvana. Limitations and exclusions may apply. See our seven day return policy@carvana.com Morgan,
Rob Cerino
did you think anything of the speech that Rome or Melody gave?
Morgan Pope
Honestly, I mean, I feel like Rome was cooked regardless. Because here's the thing is like when he was campaigning and he's like, guys, like, you know, he had the guys meeting or whatever, he's like, I can be a shield. And then doesn't follow up with what is good about having a shield. She said, guys, I can be a shield. Then he goes on the other side with the girl, like, I can be a shield. And he didn't really like explain what is good about being a shield, what he can do. I don't think his speech was very Effective by any means. I think by then he was already gone.
Rob Cerino
Yeah. Yeah.
Taryn
If he had properly studied the show, he would have known to not say that he was a shield, but to say, I am not a shield. I'm a sword. That works really well.
Mari
Yeah, exactly.
Rob Cerino
Rome. Not. Not the big brother historian. So he ends up, after he gets voted out, 12 to 1, he ends up, he loves all of you, but he just wants to have his moment with Lyric. And he says to. In front of everybody, lyric, I'm in love with you. I don't care who knows it. Taryn, did he blow up Lyric spot at all that the fake breakup was all a ruse?
Taryn
So it was out. People knew that it was a ruse. However, I do think that with him gone and the fact that she voted him out and people are likely to believe that, that I do think that she could have gotten away with, like, maybe his interpretation of the relationship was slightly different than her interpretation of the relationship.
Morgan Pope
Sure.
Taryn
It's a lot harder to do that now. Genuinely could impact her relationship with people like Chuck. Probably not a huge thing, but it definitely wasn't, like, actively good for her game.
Rob Cerino
Yeah.
Morgan Pope
Do you see Chuck's face? Chuck was.
Rob Cerino
No. Pissed.
Morgan Pope
Oh, no. Yeah. He just was kind of like. Like, he was just definitely shook. But I. I agree with you, Taryn. I feel like it's going to be interesting because I do feel like him. I don't. I think a lot of people knew it was fake. Like, people did talk about, like, oh, she's probably playing the game, but we don't really care. But since he did say that, it could be potentially where. Especially with Chuck. Chuck is probably gonna have a very interesting. Com. Like, conversation with her. Kind of like, oh, so, okay.
Taryn
It's one thing to, like, hear it's fake. Like, oh, yeah, I've heard it's fake. Like, oh, what? Really? It's another thing to have it, like, thrown in your face. Like, oh, yeah,
Rob Cerino
she'll clean it up.
Mari
He. He essentially, like, kind of, like, pissed on her on the way out. You know, he's like, I gotta mark my territory. Like, did he.
Morgan Pope
Hilarious. That reference is hilarious
Rob Cerino
because he's a dog.
Mari
Okay, maybe I should have put it that way. But he definitely, definitely tried to find.
Taryn
I thought we were done with the French fries.
Mari
We're not. We're not.
Morgan Pope
We're not done. The French fries come later. Exactly.
Mari
Lyric will get around it. She's fine. She'll be good. I think she's savvy enough to get around it.
Rob Cerino
Okay, here's Sam has pulled a Chuck reaction. Arms are crossed. Yeah. It doesn't look happy.
Mari
Everything's tight. Yeah.
Morgan Pope
The audacity.
Rob Cerino
Yeah. His eyes are piercing. What now?
Morgan Pope
So he's like, oh, that's nice, Right?
Brandon Donlin
Yeah.
Rob Cerino
Okay. We had a lot of time for an interview with Rome and still an interview with Ross Matthews. We really like last week's episode. The pacing was like. We had, like, five seconds with Ashley and we had to go. But we had a long segment segment with Rome. We had goodbye messages. So I don't know. I feel like this episode was coming in a little light in terms of how much time we had. So Taryn Rome really tried to spin this, that an icon like Rick Devins was worried about him. The biggest compliment he could get.
Taryn
You know what, people say this a lot, and usually it's kind of bluster because, like, that's not you. Like, usually it'll be like, you know, some random person that got sniped as a side target who's like, well, they knew they needed to get me out. And it's like, oh, that wasn't actually. But Rome. This actually is what happened to Rome. Like, they all saw him as such a big target that they went out of their way. Devin's in particular, who did have a good relationship, went out of his way to take him out just because of how threatening he felt in the game. So I actually do think it's fair. And. And he also didn't even do it, I thought, like, in a particularly like. Like, he did so with, like, respect to Devin's, which I thought was another key part of what made this feel okay to me.
Rob Cerino
Yeah, they'll get along after the show is over. We got to, you know, est his feelings on Rick Devins a couple different ways. He loves Rick Devins. Julie asked him who was the one vote to keep you? And he struggled with that. He said lyric. Nope. Jason.
Morgan Pope
No.
Taryn
He was like, I've got one good guess that was him turning around after finishing the comp. But it actually fell.
Rob Cerino
Yeah. And then ultimately it was. Taylor said, well, she was always loyal.
Taryn
And then Julie's like, but could it have been strategy? Are you sure she actually likes you?
Rob Cerino
Yeah. Mari, are you surprised that Julie didn't do her favorite thing of actually. Do you know who was in the alliance that was running the house?
Mari
Right. Yeah. Because, you know, obvious.
Rob Cerino
Is it too. Is it too much?
Mari
I don't know. Because they have plenty of time, so if they wanted to, I think they could have. But I know a lot of people have Been speculating, like, oh, maybe there's going to be a buyback because they're referencing things from other seasons.
Rob Cerino
Ashley's on the outside, though.
Mari
Yeah, yeah. Oh, she is. Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. So, I mean, I. I don't know why she didn't. She normally loves to throw the faces on the. The new screen in the board. I don't know why.
Taryn
She had something else planned. A certain song, a certain singer.
Morgan Pope
A marriage request invitation.
Rob Cerino
Yeah. Okay.
Mari
Yeah.
Rob Cerino
So, okay. We know Julie loves love. Okay. You talked about marriage, Julie. Is she invited to the wedding? And then. And then she. Well, okay. And I know that what the song is going to be never going to let you go. And then I guess somebody in the e. In her ear was like, that's not the name of the song. That's not the song. Her dad has one song. That's not it. Nothing's gonna change my love for you.
Taryn
I couldn't tell if she thought that she, like, this was gonna, like, be a big reveal. And then Rome was like, yeah, yeah, I know. Yeah, that. That'll be great. And it just. And not only that, but then she got the name right. Oh, man. This was. This was peak. This was peak. Truly. I love this.
Mari
Julie. Yes. Yeah. It was very weird because even if she said his whole name and. And Rome hadn't talked to Lyric, I still would have been like, who? Lyric's dad was an 80s heartthrob. Okay.
Rob Cerino
Sure.
Mari
Thanks.
Morgan Pope
Yeah.
Rob Cerino
What's never gonna let you go.
Taryn
I think maybe she was thinking of never gonna give you up.
Rob Cerino
Never gonna give you up.
Brandon Donlin
Yeah.
Morgan Pope
That's what I thought.
Rob Cerino
You certainly got Rick rolled by the hoh.
Taryn
The funniest. On one of the funniest parts to me, too. Is that. Because I. I'm pretty sure this whole thing was a bit. But. Because it was a bit. She comes in so hot.
Rob Cerino
Yeah.
Taryn
Seriously. With like. So you two talked about marriage in the house. He's like, what? No, I mean. I mean, yes. I mean. And she's like, did you not talk about marriage? Because if it feels like she's being Auntie Julie, like, hey, don't you. If you. This marriage is a serious thing. Okay? Don't be talking about marriage unless you mean about marriage. Oh, I love it. Because I love love. But then it was like, oh, she's doing a bit. But he was so nervous. It was very funny.
Mari
Yeah.
Rob Cerino
And then it made it seem like that he wasn't serious.
Mari
No, no, no, no.
Rob Cerino
I meant it.
Taryn
I meant.
Rob Cerino
I meant what I said. But we got Goodbye messages. We did not get goodbye messages for Ashley. We got a goodbye message from Rick, from Jason, and Angela reveals she had something to do with this. Shocker.
Taryn
Listen, if you are an Alpha in the house in the early. In the first couple of weeks and you see Angela there, you'd better hide, because she's coming for you.
Rob Cerino
She's coming for you.
Mari
She hits, but also she doesn't miss. She tripped over her joke. She tripped over. She's like, I. I was the reason why Rome, the empire exploded, imploded.
Morgan Pope
I was like, you were so close, Angela.
Mari
You're right. You were so close.
Rob Cerino
Morgan, they don't let you do a retake on that.
Morgan Pope
You can. You can request to say, like, redo your goodbye message. Like, I had requested to redo Keanu's. Yes, that was one that I remember specifically asking. But, yeah, you would have to, like, go in, and sometimes if, like, they're busy doing other stuff, it's like they just take the one that. That you did initially.
Rob Cerino
What? Could you just be like, hey, can I start over? Could I get that again?
Morgan Pope
Oh, yeah, yeah. So basically, they just sit there and they're like, yeah, give us what you got. And, like, when you feel good about it, then let us know. I mean, there was one. There was quite a few house guests. I can think about where I was like, I'm gonna need some time. I'm gonna come back, you know, and then I would come back. But, yeah, that's pretty much how it works.
Rob Cerino
Yeah. And you still have to do one for the person that, like, you know, isn't gonna go home.
Morgan Pope
Yeah. You have to do one for everybody on the block. So, like, when I was on the block with. Let's see, I was with Mickey and Riley, Vince, before the veto was used, or I guess after the video was used, then Riley was there. Yeah. So anybody that you're sitting next to, even if you know that they're going, you have to do a goodbye message for them.
Rob Cerino
Mm.
Taryn
Yeah.
Morgan Pope
Which is so odd. But, like, you have to, just in case, because, listen, Waffle Wednesday happens. Waffle Whatever happens.
Rob Cerino
Yeah. What day do you record the goodbye message?
Morgan Pope
It's so bizarre because you record it, I think it's like the day before. So you're still. You're saying goodbye to people, and you come out. Sometimes you're crying, sometimes you're happy, and then it's like you still have to live with them.
Rob Cerino
Yeah.
Morgan Pope
I remember sometimes I come out, and then, like, some housekeepers would be like, did you say something nice about Me, I'm like, yes. In the meantime, I'm like, no. You know what I mean? But, yeah, you have to live with them, which was so awkward, but it's how you have to do it because you have to prepare for the episode. So, yeah, you say goodbye and you live with them still.
Brandon Donlin
Okay,
Morgan Pope

All right, well, Julie wasn't ready to say goodbye because we had a special guest that's going to be on Big Brother Unlocked. Ross Matthews was here. The. Not the winner of a Celebrity Big Brother, but Julie says maybe the person that should have won Celebrity Big Brother thrown at Marissa. They always throw shade at her.
Taryn
I guess so, yeah.
Rob Cerino
And you know what? If you sort of, like, if I didn't really think about and you asked me who won the first Celebrity Big Brother, I probably would say Ross Matthews.
Taryn
Well, that's because. That's because every time they talk about it, they talk.
Mari
Yeah.
Rob Cerino
Okay. All right. But they brought in Ross Matthews. And so, Mark, this was an especially interesting booking, considering who's in the house. Right?
Brandon Donlin
Yes.
Mari
Okay. So Ross Matthews. Ross Matthews is probably Selena STDs, aka Jason's real op. His original. His original reality TV op. After Jason was on his first season of Drag Race, he is. He's doing a gig at Selena's Titties. And at the gig, I guess somebody asked him about Ross at the gig, but on the show, Ross was very, very hard on Selena's drag. And so Selena is recorded at her club telling Ross Matthews to bite her buttocks.
Rob Cerino
Okay.
Mari
And a slur. And then there's a whole, like, minute of a video of. Of her of Selena cussing Ross out. It might be something you can talk about on the slap, Rob, if you can find.
Rob Cerino
Okay.
Mari
Version of the rants, but the rant is like, God, tier, just Selena going in on Ross Matthews. So much so that everybody was like, oh, my God. Selena just went on. Went in on Ross. It was all over the place. And they're like, man, Selena will never come back for an All Stars. And then, you know what? Two, three years later, Selena comes back on All Stars. And she. She does a pretty good job on All Stars. She doesn't make it to the second round. But Selena, from what I understand, this altercation with Ross may have put her in a situation where, like, her and the producers might, you know, she, they might. She. Selena might rub producers the wrong way. So I'm, I'm wondering how she's faring with the Big Brother producers this time around. But all of that to say, I would love to see if Ross, like, if they ask Ross something about Jason. That'll be one reason I will be watching Unlocked tomorrow, that's for sure.
Rob Cerino
Yeah. Do you think that Ross Matthews is coming on to unlock to drag Jason?
Mari
Could be. I mean, Jason's game has been very messy. We've said it here. It is far from a perfect game. So Ross. Ross's job is to judge, right? He. He is a judge on Drag Race. He was a, A, like a panel judge on Drag Rag. Drag Race for multiple seasons. So it, I. He would be well within his right to come on there and drag. Drag Jason's game.
Taryn
I mean, with this context, like, we can't forget that there was a very real chance that Jason was the one evicted tonight. Like, that is a good. I wonder if Ross, like, volunteered. The world where Rome wins this blockbuster. He gets to go on stage right after Jason's exit interview, like, walking past, like, backstage.
Morgan Pope
Imagine.
Rob Cerino
Well, I think that Sharon, in the past, they've had the evicted house guests on Unlocked.
Taryn
Right.
Rob Cerino
He would have been. He would have been there would have
Taryn
been part of that. Yeah. Yeah.
Morgan Pope
Oh, wow. That would have.
Mari
Messy. Messy, messy, messy, messy. Okay.
Morgan Pope
But we would have all enjoyed it.
Brandon Donlin
All right.
Rob Cerino
We'll see how messy it gets on Big Brother Unlocked. All right. Anything else from the episode proper that we want to touch on?
Taryn
I will say in general, like, I, I actually I, I'm enjoy especially enjoying Unlocked this season so far. I'm excited to have all the powers revealed to us and stuff. I think that's a valuable thing to have on Unlocked, but almost especially because we have Unlocked. I, I extra don't need a random interview with a person at the end of the eviction episode.
Rob Cerino
Yes.
Taryn
When we're going to hear their thoughts on unlocked anyway. And this is already such a crammed episode. Like, this just did not feel like the place for it for me.
Rob Cerino
Yeah. Okay. Well, Taryn, is there. Is there anything worth talking about from that? I understand the feeds have come back.
Taryn
Not quite. They have not played the HOH yet, so I. I expect this is gonna be a late night.
Brandon Donlin
Okay.
Taryn
Because we're getting the feeds back already.
Rob Cerino
Well, we're so blessed to have Morgan here with us. I'd love to get more of your thoughts on just the season at large. Morgan, is. Is there anybod from the cast that you've had some insights on that we haven't talked about?
Taryn
Yeah.
Morgan Pope
It's so funny being, like, an outgoing player, watching as an outgoing player. Like, I watched as a pre player. Now I'm a post player. And it's so bizarre because it's like, week one, I was, like, wanting to jump through my screen to go play. I still want to play. Like, if they called me right now, I'm answering the phone and I'm saying, yes, my bags are already packed, actually. But it's so interesting watching people the way you guys watched me. It's kind of really bizarre, especially through the live feeds and stuff. It's been such a. Like, a pleasure to, like, get back into them. My winner pick initially was Barrett, and I feel like with Barrett, I. I was actually kind of shocked that he wasn't connecting as much as I thought. But he did share that he's introverted. So I. I think for him, like, you know, he's still kind of playing a slower game. So I. I don't think this is just how he's going to be. I just think he's kind of playing a little bit on the back seat to, like, kind of see everything. But I don't know. Overall, this. This season has been exciting to watch. Like, I think it's been an eventful two weeks. I don't know what it was like watching my season. I know we didn't have a unanimous vote in the first week, so I kind of understood from, like, you know, the platforms of how much people hate a unanimous vote, you know, but it's been exciting. I've really been enjoying seeing everyone kind of scramble week one and two, and I think what I'm really looking forward to is seeing if there is going to be any real alliance that's going to form, like, later, kind of how, like, the judges formed, like, right when the jury started. Like, I was. We didn't really have what I'm watching here. So it's just exciting to see something different that feels different than my experience.
Rob Cerino
Yeah, it does feel like that. The returning vets have helped accelerate there being a bigger alliance earlier, certainly, than just Rachel on her own as a returning player. And really, Rachel wasn't received in the same way that the returning vets are in this season because it was only her.
Morgan Pope
Yeah, I was probably one of the only people that was, like, willing to, like, wanting to work with her. I remember when she first came down, I. I didn't watch her season, but of course we know who she is, especially from floaters. Grab a life vest. That was, like, what she said when she coming. Coming down. I was like, oh, I know who this is. And I remember, you know, hearing houseguests be like, oh, she's won. We have to get her out. And, like, my perspective was like. Like, she's. She's won the game, though. Like, why wouldn't you want to align, learn? You know, you already have, like, a technically a shield, someone that you can play along, like, play with. Like, I don't know. I was just more kind of, like, in the mode of, like, aligning, where a lot of people are, like, you know, probably shouldn't have aligned with the vets. But listen, I will always say that I think aligning with the vets is a smart decision. I think Drew and Barrett made a smart decision doing that, especially because when they revealed that powers were happening, I mean, it's. Come on. It's pretty obvious that probably we're gonna see the first three powers go to the vets. I mean, they already have a fan base. They're already, you know, up there. But, yeah, I don't know. This is. This is fun. I'm enjoying it.
Rob Cerino
Yeah. How do you think Angela's done in the egg costume?
Morgan Pope
Oh, you know, as someone who also played with someone who was in an egg costume, I mean, I remember when. When Vince was in his costume, like, he did have, like, marks on his shoulders. It wasn't a comfortable costume, but I think just, like, how he was like, she's still very, like, funny. It's like, I don't know. I mean, I'm sure Taryn, you probably saw this. I don't know how locked in you guys are into the feeds, but, like, when they were up in the HOH room and she literally falls, like, in front of, like, Devins and Lala, and everyone's like, oh, God. Like, it's so funny because it's Angela, like, she's just so much more funny because it's Angela. Like, she hates her life in that egg costume, but, like, she's making the best of it. You know when she was arguing at the nomination ceremony and like. Like, her hair was in her face and she was trying to get it out, but she can't reach to pull it, so she has to fling it. And then the hat flew off. Like, I am living for Angela. Like, she's excellent and I love it.
Rob Cerino
Yeah.
Taryn
I loved when she was voting tonight. They had her in the diary room already. So Julie was doing the whole intro as Angela was just sitting there holding the collar down, just, like, waiting.
Brandon Donlin
So good.
Morgan Pope
And you sit in there for a while. Like, if you're the person who is after the commercial break, you sit in there for a while and then they count down. So she was in there for probably quite some time just waiting to hear when they're telling you that Julie's gonna, you know, cue you in. That's so funny. I love.
Rob Cerino
Yeah. Do you think that Angela being unhappy and sort of in a bad mood with the costume, did that contribute to her annoyance with Drew this week? Terence?
Taryn
It could have. There's a world. But it's like D was right there with her, and D didn't have anything to be annoyed about. So, you know, if anything, I think that that, like, it just made her even less have a Have even less. In fact, Haley said on the feeds that Angela in the egg costume was actually easier to deal with than. Than Angela outside of the egg costume because she has less energy to go around being all over the place, so. Interesting. Yeah. We might. Might have to be aware of what a hatched Angela is capable of.
Rob Cerino
She could have a second win.
Morgan Pope
You know what's interesting is now that people know she was in the time capsule and she doesn't have, she's not going to ever get a power. Like, I'm very curious to see how people look at Angela now as a player. It's like, oh, she's not going to get a power. So, like, we're like, I'm so excited to see what the house kids are going to do with it. The powerless Angela moving forward. Like, they know that she got a punishment. She's never going to get a power. Now, granted, D and Devin's might, but it's still like Angela's kind of in a spot where they don't have to question if she's getting a power or not.
Taryn
100. Yeah. It reminds me a little bit of the. I don't remember exactly what it was called All Stars when they had the. The thing where they could only compete once for safety, and once you'd already competed, you were less of a threat.
Mari
It.
Taryn
What was that?
Rob Cerino
Star power? Was that. Was that a thing?
Taryn
I don't think it was star power. It was.
Mari
I remember what it was.
Taryn
It was like the safety.
Rob Cerino
No, the backstage boss was Taylor Season.
Taryn
Yeah. It was the safety suite. And once you had competed, you couldn't compete again. And so it got to the point where they were actively targeting the people who still could compete because it would give them a better chance of guaranteeing a safety suite win. So having already publicly gotten past that point, there's really no reason to target Angela for the next five weeks because she'll never get a power.
Morgan Pope
Honestly, I feel like we could see her making it to jury because if you look at someone like Angela, like someone who's kind of messy, like she kind of parent paranoia, like, she's obviously most likely statistically not going to win A Part 1 HOH. You know what I mean? So it's like she could be someone that ends up being taken to jury because she's not going to get a power and she could be beaten. Who knows? I'm still.
Mari
I would not want her on my. I would not want her on my jury. I would not want her on my jury.
Rob Cerino
Mari, is there anybody else from the cast that you want to talk about?
Mari
I. I love D. I really do. I. She is one of those people, like, on tv, she's so mesmerizing to watch and. And it hurts my soul that, like, I'm technically kind of rooting against her because I hate big alliances. But I. I feel like no matter what happens with the tool shed, Dee has the social chops to rise above whatever the wreckage is. Yeah. Now, if she does get pulled down by the Meyer that is Angela, I am a little worried. But other than that, I. I really like seeing D. Even with all of her flaws and over gaming and paranoia, she is just so captivating to watch. There's something about her that's very captivating.
Rob Cerino
Yeah. And we could hold two things in our hands where we can be rooting personally for the people we know and also be rooting for it to be a good season.
Morgan Pope
Right.
Mari
Yeah.
Rob Cerino
We have both of those things. You could thread that needle. So. Yeah.
Taryn
I mean, we talked to Becca Devins and I loved her perspective. She was so chill about the whole thing. And I was like, if Becca Devins can be chill about this, then, like, I think we can all be Pretty chill about this. Yeah, I think we can do it.
Rob Cerino
Yeah. Okay.
Mari
All right.
Rob Cerino
And Taryn, anything else on your mind with all this?
Taryn
I'm just excited to see what happens with the hoh. I think there's a lot of possibilities. Even these like we talked about at the start of the the the podcast, like even the spot where the big majority alliance wins, there's a chance they shoot themselves in the foot. So, you know, I think we've got some, some interesting potential scenarios coming forward. So. Okay, find out.
Rob Cerino
All right, so we will keep you covered on everything and we will have with a exit interview tomorrow with Rome and looking forward to hearing what he says outside of the house. Then join Taryn and Puya for the live feed update around noon Eastern, maybe a couple of minutes if we've later if we fall behind. After the Rome exit interview, I talked with Eric Stein. If you're waiting for the feeds for to come back up after waiting for the HOH competition, check out what Eric and I had to say about week two in the Big Brother house. As Taryn mentioned, Becca Devins joined us as well. I thought that was a really fun conversation with Rick Devin's wife. She had a great perspective. We talked about all of the win percentages And Taryn, this week we'll have to divvy up what Rome had left.
Taryn
Yeah, we'll have to give, give his percent, bequeath his percentage points.
Rob Cerino
Yes, yes. Okay. And we'll see. Maybe the new HOH might have a big bump in the percentages and then we'll have so much going on over at Rahabcon 2027. That's going to be next month in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. And we have tickets available already for our patrons and you could check out that information@rahabcon.com okay, Mari, what's coming up for you?

Date: July 24, 2026
Host: Rob Cesternino
Panelists: Taran Armstrong, Mari Forth, Brandon Donlin, Morgan Pope (guest)
This episode of “RHAP: We Know Big Brother” covers the fallout and analysis from Big Brother 28’s second eviction night. Ex-BB27 houseguest Morgan Pope joins Rob Cesternino, Taran Armstrong, Mari Forth, and Brandon Donlin to break down the week’s major moves, Rome’s eviction, evolving alliances, the tool shed, shifting targets, and standout moments from the live episode. The panel dives deep into where the house stands, strategic missteps, game relationships, and some of the night’s most entertaining shout outs.
Time: 04:04 - 07:59
Rome’s Eviction: Rome is the second houseguest evicted in a 12-1 vote, after being at the center of the week’s action.
Rome’s Legacy: Not a total disaster – he ran the outcast group, had a showmance, but ultimately made himself the main target by being a visible “leader.”
Time: 10:00 - 14:54
Blockbuster Comp: Jason wins the Blockbuster HOH comp, cementing his reputation as a strong physical competitor.
Strategic Debate: Was it a mistake to leave Jason in?
Time: 15:11 - 24:19
Cracks Appear: Growing mistrust between Angela/D (the icons/vets) and Drew & Barrett (newbies), with paranoia about loyalty and shifting alliance priorities.
Survivor Mentality: The difference in pace between BB and Survivor possibly impacting D’s impatience and paranoia.
Time: 20:04 - 27:55
Barrett’s Perspective: Feels alienated, keenly aware he’s often brought into alliances last, but has limited options outside Drew.
Power Shift Needed: Drew & Barrett benefit if the next HOH is won by an outsider (Mallory, Melody, Lyric, etc.).
Time: 27:55 - 29:03
Time: 29:03 - 32:59
Potential Unlocked: With Rome’s eviction, Lyric is seen as having a chance to play independently and possibly become a rising star.
Social Position: Lyric is well-positioned, not on anyone's radar, and has connections with Mallory and Jason.
Time: 32:59 - 36:39
Taylor’s Motivation: Likely a genuine “pro-Rome” vote, not animosity toward Melody. Possibility of it being a “hinky” or rogue vote, but not likely to cause chaos unless someone tries to frame Drew or Barrett for it.
Lyric’s Upside: The panel agrees Lyric likely avoids any blame here.
Time: 48:12 - 50:01
Time: 37:45 - 46:14
Houseguest Shout Outs: Jason campaigns for Ryan Murphy, Yash for DJ Khaled, D for Brandon Donlin, spurring much laughter.
Julie's Reaction: A memorable moment as Drew greets Julie with "What's poppin' Honeymoonves?," which Julie is clearly not a fan of.
Time: 51:11 - 57:31
Rome’s Eviction Interview: Rome spins his target status as a compliment, citing Devins' moves against him as proof of his threat level.
Goodbye Message Trivia: Angela tries a pun and fails (“Rome, the empire exploded, imploded…”)
Time: 59:41 - 63:27
Morgan Pope on Rome:
“He should have tried to work with Devins to see who Devins would want to save…instead of, like, tell him what to do.” (04:21)
Mari on Showmances:
“Somebody check the statistics, but I think showmances that burn really hot, really fast, and one goes out soon, they last longer.” (05:20)
Taran’s Metaphor:
“Offering himself up on a platter in the way he did was like going to Sweeney Todd’s barber shop. What are you doing here?” (07:59)
Angela in an Egg Costume:
“When they were up in the HOH room and she literally falls…it’s Angela, she’s so much funnier because it’s Angela. She hates her life in that egg costume, but she’s making the best of it.” – Morgan (67:43)
