(S3E32) – Broadslab On the latest episode of Rich and Turbo’s Heavy Half Hour (S3E32), Raleigh, NC rockers Broadslab join the show! The Southern Soul Metal band are releasing their first record in 12 years on June 26th, titled The Fifth Essence, and having heard it (multiple times already) I can say it was very worth the wait. We were lucky enough to have five members of the band join us to talk about The Fifth Essence and so much more, so go check out the first single, then come back and listen to our chat.

(S3E31) – Seum The band that landed at lucky number 13 on April’s Doom Charts list is our guest on the latest episode of Rich and Turbo’s Heavy Half Hour (S3E31), as the guys from the Montreal based Doom 'n' Bass trio Seum join the show. Seum just dropped their killer new record, Parking Life, via Black Throne Productions (go preorder now!!!), and it is an amazing step forward for the unique sound of the band. We talk all about Parking Life and so much more, so go check out the new album then come listen to our chat.

(S3E30) – Caustic Casanova Back in 2023 Washington DC band dropped an amazing album of the year candidate, Glass Enclosed Nerve Center, and not soon after went on hiatus. As a huge fan I was bummed, but sometimes life happens. So you could understand how excited I was when the CC Instagram account was fired up again and mentioned the band doing a show and that new material was on the way, I immediately hit up main songwriter Francis Berringer and that is what you get on the latest episode of Rich and Turbo’s Heavy Half Hour (S3E30). Francis catches us up on all things Caustic Casanova, including the details on the first show in years, new CC stuff with Dale Crover (!) on drums, and so much more. I am so happy to have Caustic Casanova back. If you don’t know them, go listen, then come back and check out our chat.

(S3E29) – GOZU There are some bands that just have something special, that "it” factor that stands out amongst the crowd. On this episode of Rich and Turbo’s Heavy Half Hour (S3E29), we have one of those bands (and one of my favorites), as GOZU joins the show! Doug Sherman and Marc Gaffney join to talk about GOZU VI, the new record that drops on May 15, 2026 and of course it is amazing. We talk about VI, the great video for the first single, Banacek, wrestling, how the band comes up with all the great names for their songs, their upcoming tour with Restless Spirit, and so much more. Doug and Marc were such a pleasure and so great on the show, come listen, and also go preorder GOZU VI, a definitive AOTY candidate.

(S3E28) – Cannabus On this episode of Rich and Turbo’s Heavy Half Hour (S3E28), James, Ethan, and Brandon from the fuzzy, heavy psych trio Cannabus join the show! Our main topic of our discussion is their debut record, Ride The Bus, that drops on July 3rd and that is a for sure AOTY contender. We discuss how the new record came to be, about the band history, what Busch Rock is, and so much more. The preorder for the vinyl is up though the amazing Black Throne Productions (HERE) in two pretty amazing variants, so go buy one now, because Ride The Bus is a must listen, top tier release for 2026.

(S3E27) – HUFR Fest!!! I am so excited for Sean Brooks, Andrea Thomas-Brooks, and Zeth Pedulla as their vision for the first annual HUFR Fest comes to realization on April 24–26, 2026 at Bar 404 in Denver, Colorado. 17 amazing bands over 3 killer nights, I am so proud of what the team has accomplished to pull this off for their first ever festival. Come check out our chat about it and if you can, get your ass to Denver because the inaugural HUFR Fest is going to be the start of something huge.

(S3E26) – Restless Spirit I love Restless Spirit for lots of reasons, not just because they are from my birthplace of Long Island, but it sure makes it even more fun when we chat with Paul Aloisio about all things RS like we do on the latest episode of Rich and Turbo’s Heavy Half Hour (S3E26). The new self titled Restless Spirit record drops on May 8th via Magnetic Eye and dare I say it is their best yet. Paul gives us the skinny on the new record and so much more, all with a beautiful Long Island backyard backdrop. If you have not preordered the new record, go do that, then come and listen to our discussion. Restless Spirit rules…

(S3E25) – Abrams We have had Zach Amster from the Denver, Colorado band Abrams on the show before for a lot of reasons, but mostly because his band rules and he is a great guy to chat about music with. So, we would have him on any time really, but for the latest episode of Rich and Turbo’s Heavy Half Hour (S3E25) Zach joins us to talk about Abrams new album, Loon, that drops on April 17th via Blues Funeral Recordings (if you're not a PostWax member you should really change that ASAP), and of course you know it is amazing. Turbo calls it the band’s “breakout record” and I sure can’t disagree with that. We cover all the stuff about Loon and so much more. Zach is great, Abrams rules, Loon is an AOTY candidate, so yeah, you should probably check out our chat.

(S3E24) – Bronco Forte On the latest episode of Rich and Turbo’s Heavy Half Hour (S3E24) Los Angeles band Bronco Forte joins the show! Chris, Jen and Sako spent time with us to discuss their debut full length album, Lightning Scars, which dropped on April 3rd and whoa boy is it killer. We talk about the new record, how it differs from their 2023 EP, the recording and mixing process, where the band draws influence from, and CATS!!! Go check out Lightning Scars then come back and listen to our chat with Bronco Forte.

(S3E23) – Q1 2026 Review w/ Rob In The ‘Hood Our friend Rob In The ‘Hood returns to the show on the latest episode of Rich and Turbo’s Heavy Half Hour (S3E23) to recap an amazing start of 2026 with our Q1 review. We count down our top 12 releases so far this year in our usual ragtag way. Check it out!!!
